I'm host Pilot WWS aka Brian Myers. You need to be a little more
enthusiastic, you're like, Welcome everyone to the debut edition of the Major Wrestling
Figure Podcast. I'm your host, Matt Cardona, also known as Zach Ryder
WW Superstar. Here's my co host. Yeah, but this is mostly casual
and you're doing your fake, fake story and voice said and early. You
gotta, you know, excite the audience. They're driving their home, maybe
the work, maybe they're working out. Like we're talking about toys, like
how how excited can you get action figures? Action figures toys and all the
above. I feel like this has been a long time coming and people kind
of need an explanation of I think why it took so long, why we're
doing it in the first place. You know, maybe people aren't familiar with
why we think we're so qualified to sit here and talk about and right off
the bat, this isn't a podcast about wrestling news or backstage wrestling stuff.
This is strictly about figures and wrestling figures and our our love for figures,
and maybe other collectibles and maybe some T shirts stuff like that thrown in there.
We'll dabble over the place man airmen McBride from day one, huh.
I thought the vibe is still on point, you guys. The sound is
very similar and it's what's made us work for us twenty years. We've rotht
here very yin and yang and many aspects of life. So that's why we're
a good team. I forgot that he like put on that rule. That
what I did just to kind of, you know, show Brian, come
on, let's oh yeah, how it's done in the podcast business. But
one thing I could tell that I hate right away is like we didn't have
fucking stands for the mic, so you could hear the wire like I guess
the couch or something. I mean, that was for a long time,
everything podcast you did on the road, you could hear that. I didn't
think it was that big of a deal. I will also tell you this,
the first cut of the podcast, I edited some things out, like
I thought that I was supposed to edit, so like when you guys repeated
yourselves or whatever, I was like, really editing. I was cutting out
ums right. Well, no, Brosky told I sent you guys the link.
Brosky listened to it. He goes, what happened to them when I
said this? And I said, oh I edited out? He goes,
just leave it all in. So I was like, okay. The authenticity
and the realness is also been another staple of the show for three hundred episodes.
I don't even add all funk ups now, I mean we mess up
right? Well, now you know we take a shot of PP. You
know it's gonna happen, all right, So here is now how about this
bare minim? Guys Rightyan is the first person to upload his own video on
the YouTube channel. Brian did it. It's true. I don't remembering a
positive light of it, but there's no way that's true. It's true.
You were the you know we The first video we had on the on the
channel was our toy drive which nobody every year nobody watches. We decided we
discovered that you guys hate charity because Roberts is still never donated. Then Roberts
has never donated, and you guys don't watch the YouTube blog about it.
So well, here's the open to Brian's first video. This is the first
unboxing video and first extracurricular video on our channel. What's up, everybody,
It's Brian Myers, a k a. Back Door Hawkins Old today. That's
part of the Major Wrestling Figure podcast YouTube channel, bringing a little unboxing video
today. In particular, we'll be diving deep into this Shane Douglas nineteen ninety
nine e c w's original San Francisco Towy Harris so short. Well, that
was in the growing face. But why am I opening that? Shane Douglas?
And with my main concern what do you mean? Because I have all
my childhood originals and then I have the autograph, I'm like, what am
I doing? Maybe you just bought one on box Maybe I think you?
I think you. It was the big head situation. This was a long
time ago. You were like trying to remember, why what on earthought would
do that? Getting a big head thing. I'm not really sure. Maybe
you just wanted it to do it. Because you did, it's very possible.

roue. Hey guys, welcome to the Major Wrestling Cast YouTube channel. I

on our YouTube channel, we are going to discuss one of my favorite figures
of all time, the has Bro Ultimate Warrior Figure number two. All right,
if you were a kid in the nineties, your room looks nothing like
that anymore. Right, Well, it's a lot busier now. I mean
that's that's what six years ago. Almost six years ago. Now you can't
even walk in the room me with the Scott hallwalk. You can't do it.
That's scary. How you I'll forget After that video, I said,
Broski, gotta you can get lights for ten bucks because I think that I
like Brosky's toy room is very dark. Yeah, and I had the new
room gonna be nuts. Yeah, Okay. One of the things that I
was looking at. One of the early videos that we did was Stomp in
Paradise. Now, we told a story on the podcast about Stomp Brian's my
childhood, childhood stop for those Jacks figures. I didn't even really call it
a Fike fed because it wasn't a fig fed. It was like it was
a fake fed, but it wasn't. It was a storyline driven special tactical
operational military police in Paradise in Paradise. So Brian told this story, and
I think it was like the first magical thing that happened with the podcast,
Like so many people tweeted about it, so many people talked about it.
I think it was like one of the first like aha moments where whenever we
are all very raw and honest and un like blitheringly nerdy about something, yes,
and then people are sympathized with it and it you know, they get
it kind of made us not famous w W wrestlers, but like people just
like people listening to the show. Relatable, Yeah, very relatable. But
that wasn't by design. I was just being honest and telling this funny story.
But it was an aha moment, like, Okay, this is a
good thing to like let people in. So you guys had somebody do a
logo and then you wanted to sell the shirts. Extra cooler shout out extra
cooler who made that original logo? Yeah, and then you wanted to sell
some shirts or whatever we were pushing. So you guys, you were in
Florida and you decided to shoot like what was crashed at Broskis for a TV
which wasn't like I don't even think it was in Orlando, Like it was
like we'd like drive far. I feel like it must have been somewhere drivable
in Orlando or in Florida. But yeah, we wanted to film like the
opening of this imaginary show and start making merchandise since before we had toys,
so we will basically just sell some T shirts. Drove to the beach.
People are looking at us like we were insane. Obviously we had to take
turns filming each other because it was just like hold on, hold on here,
what yeah, action, you're gonna are we gonna show the finished productor
just chops? Oh man, oh man. It was that's so good.
Hold on this one's great of you two I think it's this is this was
not the finished product. This is not it, but this is great too.
Are we gonna show the finish the all times before TV? Like we're
our real job, like to go to work to be ww superstars are working,
like crawling around in dirt filling each other. You guys are at the
beach dressed like there was somebody behind Brosky in one of these shots, just
like walking his daughter shooting a water gun in like fatigues. Whoops, hold
on, uh the last little clip ski here this this one's of you two.
Uh? Hold on, what's sack? Are we gonna play the Finnish
product is finished products? Yes? Great, we will show the finished project
right. Uh here I edited this. By the way, guys, it's
great. This still holds up. This is the first time Bruster fell in
love with me. I think, yeah, they're right with We realized that
he did a good job with it. I really, I really pushed our
humble brag about this. I wasn't sure like what the deal was with it
or I went, what about maybe we got to bring this back the song
rules. We bought this song, right, we owned the song? Yeah?
Yeah, look at that an I some worse. I haven't put myself
out of course, that's smaller. I don't know why it was that we
pay for those big budget effects. Yeah, a lot of money. Maybe
we were plugging zombie sailor pins like the stop it that's all we had it
done, or the dog tags just before we had any like real figures.
So we're just doing like weird, weird miscellaneous merch. Yeah, he's right,
all right, Well, I have some more clips, will show later
on in the show. But that's like, that's our early days. Those
our first couple of uploads. That was our first episode ever I had.
I didn't come on the show until like episode one or something maybe now maybe
maybe one hundred, I don't know. But Mark, do we have our
first guest? Is he ready to rolls? Here? Is he late?
Our first guest is not here? All right? Well we have some follow
up we could talk about, right, we have follow We have our second
guest is here, by the way. Our second guest is waiting. He's

I think the NW one sells the figure better. Right. If you're
like on the fence and you don't know that ball this is in the ring,
you know, the ring side exclusive slash Metel Creations ring, so it's
like you're not seeing this until you open the box anyway, so it's weird
to even go out of the way to change it then too. I don't
know, right, so I don't I don't know if it's a running change
throughout the whole production run, or if Ringside got one and the Metel Creations
got another. You're You're easy complete this man, You're You're screwed, and
I guess a little shout to Case Fresh podcast, another wrestling favorite podcast,
new to the scene, who broke that news, So shout out to them.
We got some uh some Powered Town updates. We got the men on
car or in box if you will pictures. I'll let you lead this because
you you know you're doing all this. I heard a rumbor that our figures
are delayed because you said, hey, let's put these impact ones to the
top of the top of the line. Ours are way ahead of these ones.
But here we go, my man moose mint in box. Look at
that the TNA Championship multiple hands, the alternate head. You see the Soft
Goods robe. I like that screaming head. We purposely got rid of the
flap. That's on the way better out of the flap, which I kind
of think they might have to do across the board. And you know,
tell us in the comments what you think. But I think maybe the flap
was a little too much because this presentation is so much nicer, and obviously
everyone in the TNA lineup is alive, and you can get this sign and
it's gonna look amazing, you know, I mean, like a red paint
pen and that bad boy no question the city right there. You know,
the flap was a great idea. The information on the on the inside is
a cool idea. It's a nice little nugget. Well between the two.
I would obviously way rather have these open packaging. You get them signed,
you can see the figures, you don't have to pull the pack the flat
back and there we have Josh as the end of the walking weapon. Same
thing. Alternate head. I believe that's the head gear, yeah, next
to them. I about so the head gear is removable on both heads.
Apparently. I was under the assumption that one head would have it and one
wouldn't, but I guess they went this route. Alternate hands. I know
that rash guard. The under armour style shirt is soft Goods for sure.
And that's gotta be Velcrow in the back right because there's no way you'll be
able to get that off. But pop the hands on and off. It
looks awes. I got it on and off pretty easily. I would guess
it wouldn't be too much work. The Juggernaut Jordan Grace alternate head, the
TNA Knockouts Women's Championship, alternate hands. She's like literally meant to be an
action figure, you know what I mean? So pretty cool there. And
last, but at least, my tag team partner Eddie Edwards alternate head,
multiple hands plus Kenny Kenny the Kendo stick back there. Wow, pretty cool.
Very when your guys come out, then you can get the whole system.

Macho pre order same here, and I'm probably not gonna let that bet Oh,
I don't think so. I think keep bitment on card. Also there
was other you know, so everything's kind of in now, the James Mitchell
or the Ringside collection. Have you seen the James Mitchell like like that box
is such a throwback. Yeah, that's cool, it's very fainted. Three
of them. I got my shipping notification for like all this stuff. So

just got the red one. The red one is I didn't even know he
wore other jackets, like especially the purple, Like I can't even like close

Is that part of the do you think that you're dipping your toes in with
us is sort of into the YouTube stuff? Yeah, one hundred percent.
Like, if I don't dip my toes in with you guys and go to
Boston and do those those matches with Brian and then come back and do you
know, your live shows and then come back and do your FWF shows,
then I don't start doing isp W. And I know just by simply getting
out there and being you know, just where the super marks of the business
that can see me and be like oh, Maven did an indie show.
That's how my my YouTube partner found me. It's not like it's not like
he was a little Matt Cardona for his entire life and was liked. I
really wish I could work with Maven because I wasn't hard to find, right.
You know. I always say, like a wrestler without confidence is nothing,
And I think I instilled the confidence in you that you know, there
was people out there that really cared about the career you had, you know,
And I don't think you felt that way. Yeah, No, I
felt like it was I, you know, and I felt like my I
had a run. It was way past time. There's there's a lot that
standing outside of a bar taking IDs after you've been on live TV. That'll
fuck with your mind. Man, that'll with your mind a lot. And
like I've said, man, there was a like I at that point,
like I hated who I was and the fact that you guys wanted anything to
do with me like it. I didn't know why. I was like,
thank God, there's got to be better people. We wanted to hear the
song? Man. It did. It did put a new confidence in me,
and it was just a trickle down effect and yeah again, I like,
it's all I was fine with being out of the business. And I
think you guys also gave me a love, you know, for for what
wrestling, you know, not only gave me, but what wrestling meant to
me again. And I think when we started this podcast we found that love
too, because you know, when when you're just on the road and you
know the good, the bad, the highs and the lows, sometimes it
just becomes the jobs. When we started this podcast talking about the things we
grew up collecting and playing with, it like made us fall in love with
wrestling again. And I think maybe it was contagious, you know, and
it kind of spreads other people. You know. Contagious is the perfect word,
because anybody that asks me about like, yeah, hey, you know,
I'm I'm want to talk to Cardona to you know, to bring him
in, I'll immediately tell him book him because his fans travel. And that
that's how contate the contagious aspect of what you guys do, because you guys
are way more than wrestling. You guys are way more than entertainment. You
guys are have literally created something that didn't exist, you know, fifteen years
ago, and you know it's it's and I'm dead serious. It has opened
the door for you know, people like me to do what I'm doing.
That's because if we talked out loud about action figures in the locker room,
Bob, Hollywood have kicked our ass so out of them, we literally wouldn't
have existed anymore. No, yeah, and you're one hundred percent right.
Or if you would have asked people to hey, can you sign your action
figure? Uh uh yeah, oh no way, god, yeah, no,
it would. It's so funny too, because I just I recently did
an interview with Business Insider, and the guy who ran the interview he asked
me, he was like, hey, do you have any backstage pictures of
you at wrestling shows? Like? No, like my phone. I'm like,
hey, iPhones did not exist back then, and you weren't the person
that was going around with one of those wind up hammer. Imagine that,
Hey undertaking, Hey Kane, can you take a picture. Yeah? No,
it's it's it's the business is all has changed one hundred percent and you
guys, you guys, but it's a better it's a better business. I
recently talked to Mason Mansour and like it's just a better locker room. It's
a it's a healthier locker room. I think it and just how one leads
to the other. With me, I think moving forward, I think wrestlers
of this generation are just gonna live longer. They're gonna live, They're gonna

And like I tell them my stories and they look at me like I'm just

I think of the guys that came before me, and they were nuts to

because they make a better version and you're gonna have to get anyway to get
the the that's a different character you know you need, right, So I
don't know who the other three characters are going to be, but you know
they've they've already been out, so you can speculate, you can guess all
you want, but they're likely going to be better versions of the release figures,
but you're gonna have buy them anyway to build that vincent. So I
think that's going to be the end of the line though, which is unfortunate
because I think, yeah, I think there's one more set you know that
has it's not meant to last, you know what I mean? Like,
right, they only have so many names. It's only oh man, I
wanted it to last four. If you're calling it Monday Night War, you
can only you know, you're kind of pigeonholed into a certain amount of years,
right right, right, So at the World, they there was you

It was my idea, Dude, you must hate the fact that in twenty

shoes figure last year. We wanted a surprise to do something nice because we
all love you so much. To be honest, it sold out hot seller.
It sells an eBay for pretty good chunk of change. I think it
sold for the biggest one I saw. It was like one hundred and fifty
bucks legit to make sure the year award winner. So I think this one
is a no brainer, right, to be honest, I never expected the
first one, just because, like I have a joke about obviously my friends
have a toy company. You know, you think about it, but knowing
the financials, I'm like, it doesn't there's no possible way this ever even
makes sense. Well, if financially did not make sense, USh as it
did not. But well that suppose you didn't make enough. You didn't have
enough in stock. Right, But we're you know, you're a big part
of the team, big part of the family, so we're excited this will

I don't really have any bad moments. I mean, I heard you

a big moment for the pod because, like you guys said in a lot
of way. It humanized you where you're not just these guys on TV.
And I remember telling Brian Brian sent me the video before it went public,
and I remember I was visiting my fiance at work at the time and I
was like, yo, if you ever got if you guys ever need goons,
I don't live far from Broskie. I think I was still in Tampa
at the time. But I wanted to be like a puddy. I love
it. I've always wanted to be a henchman, so like I just wanted
to come in and get beat up. I was like, you ever need
one of those? Let me know. And then all of a sudden,
I show up Live six was the first Jimmy show. Yes, so Live
six. I just showed up because we were indoors for god knows how long
and this is an event going on. Were you just picking up a he
Man thing? No? Well I made I made a trip out of it
excuse to go pick up a he Man set. I used the show as
an excuse to go visit this toy store from the guy I buy all my
he Man stuff from. But I made like a whole road trip out of
it. And you guys needed. Someone was like, oh, Shoes,
this here, he'll do this. Then yokosh I got I got beat up
by dell O around that day, Oh my god, and took a flat
back on the floor. Well, if you're gonna take one bump of gear
one, how about What I remember about that is Shoes is there. He's
one of my good friends Swaggle. They've never met. We had both in
my room pregame and hanging out. They've never met. Now they're like better
friends than I have with either one of them. They hang out and going
vacations and ship together. Well, we just did ACW Wisconsin together. We
have a very good, successful podcast of our own. Now, you guys,
are you and Brian are have to be a tag team champion Brian,
which I swore would never happen even when you guys like would be like I'm
boozing. Oh maybe Shoes A wrestled one day. I had no interest.
It was like a good mortgage, no interest. And then then eleven people
got hurt, eleven people got COVID, eleven people got divorced, and it
was like, Shoes, we really have no one else you want to do
this, And I'm like I guess I have the best gear I ever had
in my career. Now got new boots. You know, just war it.
The other day it's I want to stop short of saying being down with
you guys has changed my life, but just because that sounds overly dramatic,
but being a part of this has been an absolutely wonderful experience. For the
Major Marks. Last year, you guys supported me through a lot of stuff
that was not very easy on me, and that level of support is very,
very, very much appreciated to this day. Obviously, Mother's Day was
Sunday, not an easy day for me as my first one without But every
time I do something, every time I'm involved in something, Major Marks are
always there to support. And even in acw, Wisconsin, a Major Mark
showed up dressed as me. Again, I guess it's a very easy costume
to pull off. You just got to be overweight and grow mustache and you're
a Captain Joe shoes. But really, all the appreciation of you guys,
thanks for letting me play in your sandbox, and for the Marks who bought
the figure, who wanted the figure. You guys were pushing for a figure.
I thought you were nuts because I just didn't think it was possible.
When you get into this business, and you guys will say the same thing.
You have a checklist of the things you want to accomplish, right,
it's have a figure, be in a video game, you know, get
extra work, then get on TV. I gave up on that, Like
I got to a certain point. How inspirational, no no, no,
But like you get to a certain point and it's like, all right,
like you personally have taken this as far as you can go with it.
It's time to do something else. And for some people it's very hard to
move on and figure out what the next step is. And I got to
the point where I was okay with it, and I said, you know
what, sixteen year old me will still think so many of the things I
got to do were so awesome, So I like I was still fulfilled with
that. Like, yeah, I didn't get to work a WrestleMania, I
didn't get to be signed like you guys, but like I still got to
wrestle a lot of the guys. I loved the first ever wrestling show I
went to as a kid. I've wrestled like nine guys from that show,
So that's like super cool to me and like I now being older. When
you're younger in the business, you're constantly worried about what's next, what's next,
What's next? Brosky, Like every day, what's next, What's next
next? By the way, late, when you get a little older,
you you're able to kind of you know, with age comes wisdom, but
you're able to kind of appreciate things in the moment a little bit more.
You allow your your mind to slow down a little bit. So now whenever
I get to do these things, I do get to appreciate these things.
And when I get to be a part of the live shows, it's always
a great experience and getting to be around the fans and you know, hanging
out with my friends like that show. Brian said, The live six in
Baltimore is the first day I met Dylan, the first day I met Kinnick.
The three of us are in a group chat together. It's like two
of my best friends in the world, the Disney together. This we just
we just all went to Disney together, Cannick almost I think. So we're
trying to track down this girl now because the lady that works for goofy uh.
We went to this character dining thing. We go, we go,
Where do you go? Where to go? Hollywood and Vine. We're at
Hollywood Studios. It was fine. We got I call it Hollywood and Slime.
Look at the palettes you're sending to a buffet. Dylan, who thinks
a miracle whip is good. She's who would eat dirt Landon, who's a
child even though he's seven foot eleven. And Kinnick, who doesn't care what's
there. He's just happy to be around. But Kinnick is having the greatest
day of his life because he got to meet his hero, Chewbacca. So
every time a character would come by the table, I'd be like, Hey,
this is my friend, Mike, Mickey Mouse. You should He's having
the best day of his life and it's thanks to the place you establishment.
You run over here. So the lady that works for Goofy comes over and
she goes, can I ask you a question? Why do you keep telling
people that he's having She doesn't ask him why he's having a good day.
She has me, and I explained to her about Kinnick and Star Wars,
and then we start talking. She's originally from New York. I'm originally from
New York. She likes hockey and baseball. I like hockey and baseball.
She's considering maybe living in a different part Tampa, and he's a of Florida.
She doesn't know she wants that. I said, ah, you don't
want to go back, because trust me, no, after you've been here
for a while, no one wants to go back north and push a shovel.
But then a table next to us was complaining that Goofy never stopped at
their table. So she got pulled away, and she got whisked right out
of my life forever. So now I've been on the hunt. We had
a little meat cute there for a second. I've been on the hunting.
I went on. I went on, I can't go back to the same
restaurant because you need a reservation and be very weird if I go by myself.
But I went on LinkedIn, and I went on LinkedIn and I said,
you know, it said like company name, and I was like,
I don't know Goofy, Like who works for Goofy? So I looked up
Goofy and uh, nothing came up. So you know we're on the hunt.
You know it's one of them. I always she might be watching live
there. I always say the most valuable resource in life is time. Time
is the one thing you can't get back. But nothing in life is more
important than love. And if there's one thing about me, it's that I
love love and I try to fall in love. I love love too,

Oh my god, there's so there's so much to be honestly, like,
how much you guys were willing to work with me on like the details and

even my micro brawler. They didn't ask me a single thing really. Yeah,
So like you guys were all about the gear. You let me tell
my little sob story text as to why I wanted it. But I wore
this gear when I wrestled for the world title. I'll be wearing this gear
on independence going forward. But I wrestled for the world in the game,
by the way, yeah, oh thank you, Yes, Rubberist, it's
the game. So I wore this gear when I wrestled for the world title.
But I did it in my hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, with my
family watching. It's my hometown colors. The Tiger Cats wear those same colors,
so it's it's me showing love to where I kind of started, where
I grew up and where I started my wrestling career. And then obviously that
really big match, but the venue that it was in was my dream venue,
wrestling in Cops Coliseum, where the first ever Royal Rubble was where Hacksaw
Jim Duggans LJN is actually the gear from that match that he won the Royal
Rumble in that same venue that I wrestled for the world title. So there's
so many like throwbacks and little hidden secrets, and then getting the jacket on
was also a big thing about it too. Obviously you guys were all about
it because it makes it more toyotic. But for me, getting that crown
screaming ego logo on this figure is insane. It's something that I drew up
when I was a teenager. I've been carrying that logo around with me my
whole wrestling career. Any company I've worked for, it's been on either the
merchandise, my gear, my enter jacket. Obviously I know that, but
I've never asked you really the significance of it. That's interesting. Yeah,
So it's something I started when I when I called myself all ego. It
was the first thing I did. I was like, Okay, well I
need to put something to this that people can see forever. And that was
the logo and I've kept it in every company and every iteration of Ethan page
since I put it out. So getting it to be part of this and
l jn's being the first wrestling figures that I ever got to be, Like,
my kid is the same age as me when I got my l JNS
and he's going to get his first LJN and it's his freaking dad. So
it's yeah, it's insane. We're honored, We're pumped. We can also
say, you know, it's a rare air to be a modern day pro
wrestler and a big rubber guy. It's insane. It's insane. There's another
one coming first, very exciting things. Well, thank you, it's coming
very soon. So June will be the pre order. So there's gonna be
two modern people, two old school guys. So let's fucking go. The
pre order is the order. Let's make this too much? Are you announcing

I'm going to replace it with the original, which is also a Rings exclusive.
It's funny, but I could see it in my case. It's posed
just like this, it has the merch club. So we were talking about
it. He goes, I bet they just got a reference shot of that
time period where maybe he's wearing it in like a first photo photo. It
was like, how else does that happen? So I honestly think that's why
Jazzwar's made the Coffin Match attire for the rare is because I only had a
couple sets of reference shots and I wanted to get a picture forcause that was
a big match for me, so I went and did a photo shoot.
So they used those photos and that's how it ended up being the Coffin Match
one. I don't think it was because they were like, oh, that's
a big match and we want to do that. It was like, well,
we used the first reference shots what's the next one was? And that
was it? Yeah, Well, you know Studio Bill. We've referenced him
many many times in the show over the years. He doesn't like to really
watch actual match footage for the He refuses, I'll do it. This.
This scene is my number one in here. This this scene is called the
draft, he said. The dog tags, the chain, gang chain,

is a top quality, such a big moment too in wrestling. The oversized

I would like to see the comparisons to how improved it is from the god

you can affordably get you know, Dudley boy elites. You would assume that

to a Super seven? They're kind of the same height. It looks better,
actually looked. The legs look longer. I think that was the problem
with those other ones, that the legs were short. Figure was just so

that expensive though. I remember that was always what kept my collection from like

so I got lots of room, so I'm good for that. And
then this one I pre ordered forever Ago, but it's a Goro figure.

great, dude, they are incredible, probably my favorite toy line right now.
Storm Collectibles they just take so long to come out, and they're very
expensive, so I avoid a couple of them. But if you don't pre
order them, you're kind of screwed. Then you're paying like secondary prices and
they go up by like fifty to one hundred bucks a figure. You guys.

good order is the order. We had the Creative Pro ten year anniversary
show this weekend and one of our exclusive vendors was Zombie Sailor Toys and he
had for I need it, Jack Toney, and I was able to take
Jack Tony to open for my shelf. So good man, pretty random fellow

Like there's a point where they're just too rare to kind of be getting

thousand of the first there's so kind of like that girl. The pre order
was the order right you got you got Wave one. It was like a
smashing success, you know, and it was you know, they were what
fifty five bucks each or whatever. The day maybe not even twenty four hours
before everything was set for a Wave two, they called us and said they
have to be seventy five bucks, so we can't do them, or they
said dumb them down to like fantasy gear, and we said, yeah,
I said, there's no fucking way I can dumb it down. We have
a podcast about we got motherfucker deep freedom on here. Who critiques figures here
to critique our own figures. That's gonna be a bad look. I mean
that's obviously like after months and weeks of like picking this out, designing it,
you know, getting everything in order, like, wait, you're gonna
drop this on us today? Like hell' no. So it was seventy five
each and scared a lot of people off for the pre order big time.

if they're buying both figures, it just added another fifty dollars to their order.

Broski's gear, is what ate up a lot of the costs. But but

Man Gang signed zombie heels and faces figure. And while we're at at courtesy
of our friends at high Spots, they had Wendy Richter. Wow, you
got a Wendy Richter autographed retro with the high Spot cert there, so awesome,
pretty cool. This is the first I was realizing when I put this
in my Ringside Collectibles Defender here. Uh, the first retro I think I
got signed. That is with the plastic carding, which I'm not crazy about,
but it is what it is, right, Gotta move on, you
gotta roll with the punches. So are you putting the Heels and Faces?
Because I know you have your big collection where you're trying to get all those
figures signed. I actually was doing that math today or recently, Like they're
wallpapered here, and I've been buying every has Bro even if they're not signed,
just to have the collection complete, because there's something that I'm just like,
what I've never even seen a giant Gonzalees signed, you know what I
mean? So what am I like holding out for? Right right right?

there's moments like that that aren't lost to me, like giving Hacksaw that royalty
check and out like appreciative he with hearing and his wife where we're like moments
like that really make it like whoa this is like heroes. You're hooking up
your heroes, Like that's insane, insane. You know a lot of these
guys, you know, back in the day with the l j NS,
you've heard the stories that people didn't even get checks for those lads, didn't
even get paid for them, you know, and there's people like kill Jim
and tell you you've got a million dollars. So you don't know what the
truth is. I don't, but we're doing it, you know, the
right way, and a lot of other companies are as well. But you
know, just to give these guys that, like like Brian said, give
hacksos royalty check, and we tell guys you can sign with whatever other company
you want, make whatever other figures you want, make as much money as
you want. I don't give a ship, you know, let let everyone
get paid. Let everyone get money, you know. Yeah, it's it's
awesome. It's crazy to see and like I know you guys thirty years ago
and to see what it is now is wild. Yeah, that's pretty well.

caught. But yeah, and that was only classics for me. I think

different. This is major Mark Purchases of the three hundred. So the deal
was talk about your best right, well, not not just figures, just
pod merch, pod memorabilia, that kind of stuff. And everybody knew exactly
what to do. They understood the assignment. They understood the assignment. That
was big. So let's let's dive right in there here is the first one
from christ that is by the way, all these people, all star contributors
or top contributors are like, you know, big parts of this Facebook group.
If you'd ever want to do this, if you want to submit for
the Major Mark purchases of the week, it's part of our basic tier and
up a Facebook group thing. Okay, he says. My favorite piece of
Major Pod memorabilia is the show notes from Live eighteen where I got to be
part of the show. It was such a great experience. And when Brian
gave this item away and is whatnot I knew, I wanted to track it
down instead of me having to hunt. Robert Hosier Junior reached out to me
right after he won the giveaway and sent it my way. Ironically, one
of the least valuable Major Pot items I own, but one that means a
ton to me. That's awesome. Chris girl Cock best last name in the
biz. In a very diehard Major Pod supporter, so we appreciate him even
though his name never goes without a smarkarl laugh for a joke because he's the
man. Okay, So he cruises is in the chat. He's always with

three hundred weeks was definitely the two tickets for Live eleven at ten Roof in
Orlando that I bought for me and my older brother. The Forst Orlando Live
show was the best show of all time. First Brian Enter in his ride
gear from the GCW show. From meeting Big keV, who is probably the
best guest ever, Chuching to the boys dancing with Scotti Dohatti to Super Gabby
getting the loudest pop of the night. Also Brosky and I had Jordan fate
as we were wearing the same Jordan's we Go video in replies, but you
can see that if you're in the group. It was the best live show
I've ever been to, not just the best major pot show, the best
live anything I've ever been to. My older brother and I had such a
great time. Thank you for giving us those memories. That's awesome. We
love the tin Roof. I'm sure we'll be back. I mean, yeah,
that's it's a spot man. We haven't figured out, like you said,
we can make a real experience of it. Man, it's so fun
to be has to be felt to be, uh, experienced, you know
what I mean when we went to when Land and I went to Disney this

the greatest, most historical POT item I own is the microphone that Brian used
to record the first year of the pod, signed by Brian, Matt,
and Mark. The story from brian sales post was that Matt broke his microphone
so he was selling by another one. The mike sits front and center of
my major pod display and in my opinion, is definitely major pot Hall of
Fame museum worthy. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication with the last
fe hundred episodes. But the cool thing guys about that microphone is it's also
what col Cabana used to do his podcast with pretty sure. Yeah, yeah,
so we didn't give it back to him and stuff and get our own
stuff. Yeah, almost positive we'd never give it back. Sorry, we
told great. Now I'm gonna get a I'm going to get the subpoenat for
that man. All right, this one's great. I'm sorry, I'm more
into variant man. Brian Chair is the very first major pod item I ever
purchased. The official logo t from Pro Wrestling Teas back in September twenty eighteen.
If you purchased a shirt, you got one of these signed four by
six cards. I think they were limited to one hundred. I sent sold
the card, but I remember how excited I was to get not only the
shirt but this card as well. At the time, they were known as
Kurt and Zach and they even signed it like that. But this was one
of the first times we got to see the guys as Brian the Matt two
wrestling fans and figure collectors just like us. Such a cool giveaway. I
still wear the tank top version of the shirt once a week. Congrass on
three hundred boys, Well, thank you so much. That is a rare
item. That little card that we got printed out and that's me and Matt
as kids dressed as Hogan and Manto, like you know, just legitimately like
growing up super wrestling fans. Pretty cool, the actual first Pod merch piece.
I think that card that's on card is the first thing of all time.
Yep, look at this, guys. Wow, Almager says, when
it comes, it comes, And starting April twenty twenty, I tried to
be complete with major Pod figures to support the guys through what we all agree
was an insane year, from the Ringside figures to micro Brawlers and onto the
creation of major Bendi's. Over the next few years, I've tried to have
it all. The number of figures quickly outgrew the space I could devote.
So now some zip locks have been zipped and some toats have been filled,
but I still keep my favorite Pod figures displayed, and I'm looking forward to
the upcoming reshuffle when I make room for the Powertown figures later this year.
Here's the next three hundred episode. Scratch that figure, itch. I'm almost
mostly in ade that the most rare figure in there is a smart Mark figure,
which is what your ve is Zombie Valiant. Oh yeah, yeah,
yeah, oh true, true yeah. Actually I think that my micro brawler,
my red right move micro browler is less half the number of the zombie.

All right, there it is Amy Marrigan. I said his name right
to three hundred episodes. To date, the Major Wrestling Figure podcast is generated
well over one thousand and six hundred pieces of merch. Holy, no one
can possibly be a completist. I tried my damn this for a long time.
I had to tap out, but I never stopped keeping meticulous track of
every single item. In March twenty twenty one, my early efforts even got
me the privilege of talking major Merch on a special YouTube episode with Matt and
Mark. Yeah, you could check that in our archives there. It was
during that episode that the Major Merch Book was first conceived. Despite his reputation
for saying no, Matt instead said do it. I asked my buddy Justin
Walsh to come along for the ride and do most of the work. I
suspect Justin regrets at it at least a little bit, if not more.
The printer was a know it all dick who had a problem with just about
everything we did. Ups destroyed the first, the whole first printing of the
book and our inexperience in packaging and shipping books destroyed most of the second run.
The third time was the charm. The book has really paid intangible dividends
for me. It's led to a lot of interactions with Major Marks I may
not have had otherwise, getting even tighter with Justin and spending a day at
Matthew Cardona's house doing Major Pod March shit. Long story short, the Major
pod March book is my favorite piece of Pod March. It is a complete
guy to the first three years of merch where about three months away from the
end of the second three years just saying, oh baby, man, that's
crazy and that book is like so classy and well done and it's like an
unbelievable piece of merchandise. Man, it's there. I mean that what a
dream team those two where Justin does all the photography for FWFS the pod and
then Legit took a picture of every single piece of merch They didn't just use
stock photos. Him and Email put that together. Unbelievable. If you want
to make another book, torture yourself, go for it. Also at a
lot of naked swoggle things a lot of naked swoggle things shocking Dylan doesn't like
because he can't put him on his merch table. Yeah, exactly, all
right, this one can't be topped, to be honest. Wow. One
of one best wishes Bar and Grill, Steel Cage Customs retro ring. I
bought a T shirt during the famous phone call promotion, patiently waiting for that
call for about two months. I was at a family party two days before
Live three and I get a random call from a private number. I run
outside and it's the boys calling. I tell them my plan to propose to
my now wife at the show and needed their help. Broski goes, let's
rig the raffle and the rest is history. Oh my god, Joe will
forever be great. I mean I think everyone figured it out when all that
happened. Really good. Now, guys, they have a mini Joven,
they have a child. That's so great. We can't do it without Lucas
Cacuccio. My most favorite memorable piece of bod March his hands down the sign
set of FWF Series one cards, which made me the second one thousand dollars
Broski of the Pod group. Although I will gladly bow down to Michael Fries
as the FWF card king. I look back and laugh at the craziness of
tracking down the guys on the cards, from trips to cap, taking them
to kywloons, making contacts with Facebook and Twitter to send through the mail.
I'll never forget Broski's reading my DM to John E's mother, making the secret
hip for the wrestling universe to meet up with mister one eight seven. The
thrill of the hunt was awesome. So he got all of those cards signed,
and the first person to do it, Matt paid one thousand bucks.
Yeah, he was two Matt foot and mouth thing to do or say.
I didn't think any would ever. It's like I told I toold someone whoever
it does that old man Bbiazzi. For a year I played a thousand.
There's one guy who's like like two hundred something, bro. I get the
tweet every day. I can't. I'm like, can we just give this
guy the freaking gift? I just hope one day out of the payout?
All right? We talked about him earlier justin Walls. We can't miss it.
How could you possibly post something other than the neon two hundred episodes ago,
I was lucky enough to be dubbed the Major Mark in celebration of episode
one hundred. Sure it was cool to put this one of four Neon sign
in my toy room, but the ways in which my life would change since
are almost too good to be true. From toy drives to fwf's, Boston
to Baltimore, Dallas to Vegas and everywhere in between. This show excuse me
has become far more than a podcast. It is quite literally a lifestyle.

be a tiny part of it, the absolute ride of my life. This
sounds a great guy. I mean, it's funny to look back on this

back, Brian introduced. I don't know, but I guess I met him
one time and he has turned into a very close friend of mine and connect

and the amount of I think that's how the whole community, what the whole

those titles are amazing now, like the two that they made the time,
I remember thinking they were so ugly, but it was so long and so
many people held them that I think they're kind of cool. Yeah. I
feel like you're gonna have a lot of kids that grow up in the Copper
ones are the best. Yeah. I mean, watch copper and black become
a style, you know, in the future and they're like, damn,
those titles were awesome. You know, that's how weird ship happens. All

up there, but I was a mystery one. I wasn't even advertised I

that just then she totally forgot about me. Of course, now she did
play with and the Disney princesses. That's what she's got to do what I'm
saying. It's so old. I couldn't really find like my squinky and I
wasn't going to give her the one in my case. Yeah, hey,
hold on, hold on, are you in the same pack as like I
was? I don't think so, because I have another pack of that just
like that. No, I don't think so. I can give it to
you, pal, I know, but I'm pretty they were all different people
in different sets, but it wasn't didn't change from the sets. It was

hey, what happened was too I was. I told my my salon lady
that was cutting my hair that I just wanted it like right a top of
my traps, but she took it up like right below my ears to where
when I got dying. There was a card also that they put out that
it's horrible. Man, they make you cut it right before NX or did
you that beforehand? No? No, no, they made me. They
made me cut it from you remember how long it used to be like that
exactly. But then they made me cut it. They wanted to cut it
like this, like change my whole look. And then I looked at Johnny
and I'm like, dude, you're the one that damn told me to grow
my damn hair out, Like why the hell am I cutting it now?
And that's when they started saying that I resembled Edge too much. Then I
went from pants to damn trunks to where I was just like, what the
fuck, Like, I'm nervous as ship. Never tanned or shaved my legs
ever, you know till then. And then I just told him, I
said, brother, I'm just cutting my hair up to my like right,
but low my shoulder, you know, like I'm not going to cut it
all the way off. I've groomed this ship out for two So then that's
how that happened. But that was after this. That's I got that too
much, man, where I was like, I think the only reason they
brought Edge down to fc W to get in the ring with me to cut
a promo was just to compare us. Look, I swear to god,

was so tight that the band members was like, man, y'all can sit
on the stage if you want, and we're just like, you know,
cool. So I'm sitting there and here comes this little ass kid man like
little kid, but he's like thirty years old, you know, you know,
he was just little, but he had he had like didn't grow up
all the way. It's short, yeah, like little, maybe a little
taller, but yeah. The dude had the Eagle Wing title. Oh wait,
Eagle yeah, and then the n w A title. And this motherfucker
saw me and just took off running and jumped up on stage and thought his
drunk ass was going to be a perfectly place stunt like in a movie.
And he just collides into me and the dagg title hits me right, I
like I got hard weight on a bar about the brother. I got up
and I grabbed him and I just threw him down on the floor and I'm
just sitting there wiping my face and my nose is bleeding, and I'm like,
really about to kill this kid? You know. Baron Corbin was there
and Eric Row and they're all like, hey man, calm down. I'm
like, what the fuck? What you know? Like, who is this
kid? You know? Just went off and then replica title of the wing
Eagle hard yeah picture and it's in this thing forever exactly. And now that's

time of doing the show, I think it's just like getting people understand that
this is more than just like a toy podcast, right, it's breaking that
perception and getting more ears and eyes on what we do eatune every week.

YouTube channel. I would love to get one hundred thousand on there, just
like the other one. So I've been sort of that's I guess my little

oh, we've maxed out on our wrestling figure fans. But the point
is absolutely not. You're right. You're right, there's hundreds of thousands of
more that we just got to get, even if we got five thousand of
them, right, you know, all right? Colts question Charles Colton great
names. One time in like two thousand and six or two thousand and seven,
I walked into the bathroom at an OVW show in eat Town, Kentucky,
and one of you was wetting your hair and then sprayed down into your
trunks, one of you. And why, first off, Charles Culton is
just like your Burnercount too. I can with extreme confidence say there was no
way that was me. Why would I ever spray dou by Top. I
definitely maybe spray my hair, but I can't foresee ever spray it down by
t. When I read that and picked that, first of all, I
picked it because I was there with you guys, Okay, right, I
mean I was etown that was in that era. I was on the road
making press events. Yes, I was at your apartment where you bought all
the lj ns from a guy to eBay, and I thought you were crazy
to buy it for three hundred dollars. Now it probably goes for twenty five
thousand or whatever. It was insane investment actually now looking but I definitely thought
it was Cardona who was the child. Yeah, I mean there's no doubt,
like for sure, Why would I screw I beat us something weird?
Why do you do a lot of things that you do? Yeah, listen,
don't I don't think that was, Oh my god, he's gonna kill
me for telling this story. But remember that time when Rosky found that chicks
out to wear in this room. He goes, look what I found you
showing the girl. She goes, that's not mine. Some of the girls
I have contexted, what the hell? Because he left something behind and he
goes, those aren't mine. Chris be young to be young Jesus Christ,
we know the real story, but we can't talk about that public. Okay.
My question, oh man, this pod has had a big impact on
wrestling figure collecting world. After three hundred episodes, what do you feel the
biggest impact the pod has had on the collecting community and the wrestling fig industry
as a whole. All Right? I picked this because I told Brian early
on, like before we were really friends and when we just started talking about
figures or whatever, that I felt like him and Brosky made me feel like
it was okay to recollect figures and also even allow my mind to think about
it as a hobby. Like Brosky top of the world in the wrestling in
twenty eleven, twenty twelve, right, just that the cool dude that everybody
loved and sort of wanted to wish that he was doing well is also telling
you, you know what, I am trying for the title, but I
am also a fucking nerd, and I like Star Wars and my girlfriend's Princess
Leah, and I fucking collect figures. And then I just feel like I
was like me fucking too pal, and I loved it. And I really
think that you guys had a lot to do with this resurgence in wrestling collectibles,
but also just like hobbyist toy collectors as a whole. That's my opinion
on it. Yeah, I don't want to take any credit at like I
do think that was definitely our goal was to break down those those walls and
and and eliminate that forty year old virgin kind of stigma. That's my favorite
way to explain it. Yeah, you know, we definitely that was definitely
our goal for sure. And I definitely feel it's a lot more accepted and
there's a lot more and there's also like more podcasts coming out about wrestling figures
and more more Instagram accounts, and I think the more the merrier, you
know, I'm not trying to say you guys can't post like no, I
want because the bigger this hobby gets, the bigger gets for everybody, you
know. So I'll say something as someone who's been listening since day one,
is I think what you guys have done for me as a wrestler, and
also it's evolved. First of all, you you made me a better business
man when it comes to preparing my kind of one of ones or my my
elite stuff, those kind of things I think have made me a better as
someone. As you guys know who's been obsessed with the merch table before was
before there was a merch table. It was me and a couple of the
vendors, And it's so crazy to look back now how smart these vendors were.
And I know Cardona knows this because he's like, they're all taking advantage
of me, right, like that's our number one worry. Whereas there was
a time where I was like, yeah, I'll sign whatever you want,
of course, and then I didn't realize it. So I think as as
you guys started with figures and then you've progressed into the world of just autographs
and cards and all of that stuff. Now it's really gotten my brain as
a wrestler. I'm sure there's a lot of other wrestlers too, of like
thinking of that stuff and understanding it and also being able to also being able
to give better value to our customer. You know, before I just thought
if you were like a diehard cold fan, like I got your shirt,
here you go. And now I kind of realized just the world that's out
there to give to someone who is into a specific connection to the sale.
Right Well, that was so that was like they like, and that's I
think the young Bucks even write in their book, is like that I understood
right away, was at the table meeting them, becoming friends with them again
breaking down that. But I think there's even bigger things of like you know,
match worn stuff or just kind of just even bigger things that you guys
have kind of opened my eyes too, right Yeah, the fourty old version
of thing is my favorite way to put it. I'm like, you know,
I love that movie. If it's on, I don't change the channel.
But the premise is that this guy is this unfuckable weirdo in society that
because he collects toys, and it's like that just wouldn't even work nowadays,
I don't think, and whether we have something to do with that or not,
or we don't have to take credit for or whatever. But that's pretty
cool that you know that's not the case anymore. Mike Small's example here is
pretty interesting. He says, there's been more transparency by these companies because you
guys are porting on the hot button issues. I mean that's a direct cause
and effect that our podcast have had. I feel, Yeah, Tornado Tom
another thing. It's like, you know, like we didn't invent Whatnot,
right, I don't even know if we were the first people on it.
But like I I'm all for like sharing the wealth, you know, So
I love that everyone else is making money on these things. And you know,
like I make more on Whatnot than I do at an indie show.
And I so like I would assume like SDL does as well. And now
she has Man's and now you know, there's other so many wrestlers are on
it now, and there's you know, if Ethan has like a great fucking
blog, and we can all learn how to make you know, we're all
learning off each other. You know. We we all stole fucking Cabanta's blueprint,
you know what I'm saying, Like we literally stole his microphone. So
like we're all seld it, so we're all learning off each other. Positive
that story is true. But uh and even when you say that, so
even back to me, I started my podcast in twenty ten, and I
think Steve Austin might have started his in twenty fourteen, and Jericho and Jr.
You know, like four years afterwards, and I remember people being like
upset, and I was like, oh no, no, no, no,
Like now people are going to understand that there's wrestling wrestlers with wrestling podcasts,
and now they're going to go who else has one? And they're gonna
sing like crazy library and then you know it's gonna grow from there. So
I was never afraid of that. Stone Cold literally led me to you,
and then I listened to all the episodes from one to catching up. Well,
we were friends for along. We've been friends for a long time,
so I was a day one combat at one point, man, it was
years. All I listened to was your podcast and Conan's podcast, and they
were the only ones like in existence, and you were way ahead of him.
Even I remember I used to be like on the road, w like
driving. It was like on a website. I didn't even have a podcast
app. Yeah, on your I've been a very early adopter to listen to
podcasts. That's why I started it, and it was you had to download
it from iTunes, sink into your sink your uh not even your iPhone,
your i pod, and then extract your extract your podcasts from your iTunes to
your eyebody holy shit ob noxious, which I definitely did, and then I
would listen to like dcw ones or dudes there were any like repeatedly like wow,
all right, last question here from Brian uh DJ not today, jackass.
We all know how amazing the podcast is and what it's done for your
careers and goals. What's the hardest part of being a member of the Major
put team. It's tough because we love doing this. I don't want to
say anything's really hard, right, you know, at the end of the
day, like we're hanging out with our friends talking with toys. But there's
hard I mean, I think TTD and Mark do the actual like hard work
behind the scenes, you know, the editing and the bills and things like
that. I got, I guess at the end of the day, and
I kind of have to, like says to my wife my family sometimes like
I want to be mentally prepared for this and give it my all, like
energy wise and focus, and sometimes it's not always easiest and I have to
like, you know, whatever the road schedule has been, or whatever I
did as a dad that day, whatever that that part is what Like,
you know, sometimes I have to you know, put my big boy,
big boy pants on for you know, like we kind of been saying all
episode long. When we first started this, it was just like, oh,
let's just talk about the wrestling figures. Didn't even think about making any
money off of it. Now it's become a full blown two businesses where it's
like, okay, you know, whether I'm tired or not tired or what
the shit to do? This is my fucking job. And it's not like
a little it's not the it's not a side hustle anymore. It's not a
hobby anymore. Like this is what's paying the bills. So like certain things
have to be done today. Did I have to fly home cross country to
be on this. I didn't have to, but I wanted to because I
knew it was gonna be on YouTube, It's gonna be a big episode.
I could have easily been recording in Chelsea's dad's fucking spare bedroom. But I
knew it was a big deal, so we know, I gotta get fucking
home. So there's sacrifices we all make to make this work. And I
was to say I was talking out loud to Liz about next week, which,
by the way, we're not gonna be live at our normal time because
of me, Like I have like a really unique, bizarre thing I'll be
doing and I probably will not have slept at like literally at all, and
we're gonna do the pot Tuesday morning. And it's like I have to like
push myself. And that's another thing. We have three separate schedules. So
first, you know, Brian and I on the same schedule, and Mark
just fucking edited it and then it was a pandemic. We're all the fuck,
We're all fucking home. But now schedules, sweet, we're three totally
different schedules, and that's just wrestling schedule. Work schedules are different, and
then you add in like personal stuff, real life, and it totally changes
it up. So it's a job with that it be I think this is
the me and Mark. We have this discussion a lot. The podcast has
grown where it's grown so much, but it's not at that level. It
hasn't grown enough where we could like really get help where we still be so
hands out, like we can't hire. We have so many people who help
us out the freedom Billy Peck, j George, you know, like TTD
Connict so and you're you're your brother, Timmy, like so many people,
but like we don't we need like a they're like such an essential team.
But like this isn't like it's a real business without being a real business.
Yeah, ideally somebody would be working forty hours a week on social media,
right something. We're working for you hours a week on on on YouTube.
But but yeah, we have people that help you out. Beautiful thing to
be in that place. I'll tell you that we've grown so much, but
we haven't. We We're like we just need to grow a little more to
turn that corner, turn that page. I hate to say, like fake
it till you make it, but we've kind of been faked it till we
made it. We've made it, but not enough, you know. So
that's that's the hardest part. I think, Well, you guys do so
such great work, but I'll I'll tell you The hardest thing about this show
