Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, welcome back to Better Happy Hour.

00:00:04
Speaker 2: I'm Joe and I'm Serena, and.

00:00:06
Speaker 1: We are here with one of Jen's final four hometown guys. Jeremy is on the podcast today. Jeremy, how are you?

00:00:15
Speaker 3: I'm great? Thanks for having me. Guys. So it's nice meeting you.

00:00:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, you too? You two? Where you live in New York?

00:00:23
Speaker 3: Yeah? I live in New York. I'm in the East Village right now.

00:00:26
Speaker 1: Okay, we're we're like right next to the Hudson Yards vessel. So okay, I look like Chelsea Chelsea Area.

00:00:38
Speaker 3: Like one of those new developments over there.

00:00:40
Speaker 1: Kind of Uh no, we.

00:00:47
Speaker 3: Could stop there.

00:00:48
Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, we're off the off the West Side Highway. I'm just gonna keep.

00:00:54
Speaker 2: Gig like we're actually the cross intersection. If you want to come over.

00:00:59
Speaker 3: You're my bill thing has windows?

00:01:01
Speaker 2: Yeah, are building as a printer windows?

00:01:03
Speaker 1: You're you're from New York.

00:01:06
Speaker 3: No, I'm from Stanford, Connecticut originally, so an hour outside of New York. But I've been living here on off for like seven years.

00:01:13
Speaker 1: And you I don't remember exactly what you do, but I believe that it's something in real estate.

00:01:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, the title says real estate investor, which is true, but I have like a normal job run. I run sales for property management and tech startup.

00:01:30
Speaker 1: Cool And how how did you wind up on the Bachelorette?

00:01:40
Speaker 3: I never thought I'd be on the Bachelorette. I've never seen the show before I went on, or I guess until right before I went on. But my friends had nominated me probably years ago, and I was sort of in like this situationship and it ended and then fifteen minutes later I got text and Hey, it's whoever from the Bacherette casting? So I thought it was like weird timing, and I was like, I might as well see the process through. And even like when I was like going through the interviews, I'm like, Nah, no one's going to pick me to go on the show.

00:02:13
Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I feel like there's a lot of people in quality.

00:02:15
Speaker 4: You're just like, I guess I'll see like how this goes down, Like I'm not going to actually end up on the show.

00:02:21
Speaker 2: And then you end up on the show.

00:02:22
Speaker 1: How did you know? How did you know your friends nominated you a few years ago?

00:02:29
Speaker 5: Oh?

00:02:29
Speaker 3: Because they they sent me like what they wrote, I thought.

00:02:33
Speaker 1: And you never heard you never heard anything back until recently.

00:02:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess November.

00:02:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, that's so interesting. That's actually I feel like that's pretty rare.

00:02:46
Speaker 4: Actually, sometimes we'll hear people that got nominated and they got reached out to and then it didn't work out and they got reached out to again.

00:02:55
Speaker 2: But I feel like it's rare for them to like go.

00:02:56
Speaker 4: Back in the archives and be like, hmmm, let's see, how'd you guys end up on the show. I just send an application, like on a whim.

00:03:09
Speaker 2: Joe got scouted.

00:03:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, I was walking through Whole Foods and it was back when they used to scout people on the ground the heyday.

00:03:20
Speaker 3: Don't people call you grocery store Joe?

00:03:23
Speaker 1: Yeah? People? Yeah, but that was because I I was My title was you're a real estate investor. In mine was grocery store owner because I owned the percentage of a small store and I was in the produce business.

00:03:37
Speaker 2: And that's kind of what But yeah, it is a weird quiz you were scouted? Yeah, it is a really weird quiz.

00:03:45
Speaker 1: Well, the woman that scouted me asked me, She's like, do you own this store? And I was like, if I owned this store, you and I wouldn't be having a conversation.

00:03:54
Speaker 2: It was whole foods I think, wasn't it.

00:03:56
Speaker 1: It was like, if I own all foods, I'm the word new in this place. I'm chilling on a penthouse in my penhouse, fucking in Manhattan. Okay, Uh, you right now have Jen in your background, So what is I've never seen?

00:04:15
Speaker 2: Uh wait, clarify what you mean by background?

00:04:18
Speaker 1: You clarify it totally.

00:04:20
Speaker 4: So we're on zoom right now, guys, for everyone listening, uh picture this.

00:04:26
Speaker 2: If we're on zoom, we're in our living room.

00:04:29
Speaker 4: Jeremy's screen has a background, which is a photo that he's like inserted his background, and it's a photo of Jen standing on a hill.

00:04:39
Speaker 1: It looks like the sound of music.

00:04:40
Speaker 4: It totally looks like the sound of music. But the way it looks to us is like she is standing on his shoulder. We're gonna put this on Instagram, So if you're listening and you don't know what we're talking about, go to the Bachelor Happy Hour Instagram and check it out. But we've never had someone come with like a custom background. It looks like what people do the Reek, the.

00:04:58
Speaker 1: People that do like that, the RecA apps of like the show.

00:05:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, people that do like a green screen background.

00:05:04
Speaker 3: The thing is, I'm so not technology savvy, but I was able to figure this out.

00:05:10
Speaker 2: That's impressive.

00:05:11
Speaker 4: I don't know if I could do it, but you know what, people people can figure it.

00:05:16
Speaker 1: I can tell you what I wouldn't be able to.

00:05:18
Speaker 2: Do it, Joe, he doesn't know. I doubt you. I don't think you could do it.

00:05:26
Speaker 1: My keyboard wasn't working and I just figured that out.

00:05:29
Speaker 2: Really, but you anytime your friends ask you to drop a pin, I have to do it for you.

00:05:33
Speaker 3: You guys have a whole set up there. I'm sure you could figure it out.

00:05:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, back to back to the show. Okay, so night one you show up.

00:05:44
Speaker 2: Remind us of what your entrance was again? Were you the car guy?

00:05:47
Speaker 1: Yeah? Rich? The rich guy? No, I'm not rich, but that was the But that was kind of like what I tried.

00:05:54
Speaker 3: Making a joke about it.

00:05:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, I might have said I have a big personality, Yeah, the overcompensating joke.

00:06:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, listen, Like I uh, I knew that it might not be received well, but like I didn't want when I was doing it, I didn't want to think about like how audience might take it. I wanted to do something that will either make me stand out or make Jen laugh or both, because like I knew I was gonna be walking into a house with thirty guys. I didn't know if I was going to be able to talk to her the first night. I'm like, at least let her remember me. Originally I was just gonna go in there and like say something romantic, but I switched it up last minute and sort of just made it a playoff of her joke at AFR where she said she was looking for a really big personality and yeah, I'm still glad when I did that.

00:06:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, why didn't you get Did you get like like some like a little heat for that or something.

00:06:49
Speaker 3: I don't know if it was hate, but like when you see it live and they put that like little cringy music in the back and then people are like, I can't believe he said that. I'm like right, but like you can. It's it's an entrance to a reality.

00:07:00
Speaker 1: Show exactly, Yeah you can. I think people sometimes forget that. It's like it's just a reality show. Yeah, it's not that serious, Like this is not like how this room, Yeah, but it's not like how you enter every room you walk into in the real world.

00:07:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, you're not actually with me every every time I go anywhere.

00:07:21
Speaker 1: Was that your car?

00:07:22
Speaker 3: Really, we live in New York, we won't of course, yeah, totally.

00:07:26
Speaker 4: But how you got into it with another guy because he was Brian, Yeah, Brian night one, because you were chatting in the car and then he was like, get out, let me in.

00:07:38
Speaker 2: Can you walk us through that? I feel like you were really calm, like yeah, what what did you want to do in that moment?

00:07:45
Speaker 3: So when when it was the night of the premiere and I saw that, I completely forgot it happened like it was so insignificant in my mind. But that was that was my first conversation with Jen And we're probably talking for a few minutes, really surface level stuff because just met her, just trying to get to know her, and I sort of see her eyes glance to the side. I'm like, oh, I know what's about to happen. And I tried finding my keys before, I was like asking around for them. I wanted like her to have a ride in the car, and then Brian comes up, and it's it's a tough position to be in first conversation. I don't want to have like I want to act like a child. I'm not gonna like fight with Brian in front of her. But then on the opposite side of things, it's just getting out of your own car and giving it to him, which I wasn't gonna do either. So I tried sort of talking to him for a bit and I realized, like, I'll just be the grown up. That was enough back and forth, like I don't care. Hopefully I did enough to get a rose.

00:08:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's always a smart move on a reality show to be the grown up because that is when you're you're gonna you're gonna look better. In my opinion, was there a party that's like when that kind of went down when Brian was like, let me talk, like get out of the car. Was there was that like the first moment of like, oh I'm on, I'm on the Bachelor, Like I'm on.

00:09:06
Speaker 3: And I was not expecting it. Yeah, but I I saw people like I've seen obviously stuff online and people are like if he interrupted me at my car, would have hit him. I'm like, dude, oh my god, you know what. First off, like how old are we? Second off, I would have been on the first flight back if if I ever did something.

00:09:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, you also didn't have the keys.

00:09:26
Speaker 1: You would have got arrested. I mean it's like it's like that that would have just arrested.

00:09:30
Speaker 6: You.

00:09:30
Speaker 1: Guys said that would have been in.

00:09:32
Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think you It's like, oh, I would have hit him with my car. No, you wouldn't have. That's legal.

00:09:38
Speaker 4: You're not like, who is this person running around whacking people with their vehicle for like verbally assaulting them?

00:09:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's wild.

00:09:47
Speaker 2: People say some crazy stuff.

00:09:48
Speaker 1: Okay, so that's all right.

00:09:49
Speaker 3: Brian went home.

00:09:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, Brian ends up going home at some point. I think he makes it. I think he goes home like week two or something. Yeah, but you stick around. I don't want to point every scenario, but like kind of just like going back to the ice cream date, what are your thoughts on all the back and forth between the guy. So it's basically like it's it's what it looks like to us. It's kind of like Devin Verse, Aaron Thomas Sam.

00:10:23
Speaker 3: That's exactly what it was. I loved it entertainment for me, like I purposely tried saying out of anything and I did so. I thought it was entertaining, like I to be Frank, I think Devon was in the right, Like, I don't think he did anything wrong, like taking Jenna for that ice cream part, Like, was that how I was gonna play it personally? No, like I'd rather create like my moments like one on one between her. But I don't think he did anything Dad. And then at the at the cocktail party, he went first to speak to her and people were upset that he spoke to her, And I'm like, dude, like like how could you how could you be upset? If anything? Like he did the respectful thing by taking her first, just getting it out of the way. But no, I didn't I didn't think you did anything wrong.

00:11:16
Speaker 1: Were there other guys that aligned with how you felt? Was there like a group of you there kind of like people.

00:11:21
Speaker 3: Are Yeah, I feel like the whole time like me Jonathan Marcus, like any anytime, like some drama might like happen or was about to happen, like we sort of just like glance at each other and like make a face.

00:11:36
Speaker 1: Makes sense. You guys are all the hometown guys, so that so that that adds up. So I think like the first time we see like you, Jen Jen seems to be really into you. Was that race card date you want to talk about that?

00:12:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, I was grateful that I got a small group date.

00:12:11
Speaker 1: They're only four, yeah, which we never Yeah, we never really see that.

00:12:14
Speaker 4: That was one of the first Yeah, it was like second week and they're like, you know what, let's throw like eighty five percent of the guys on wed Day and then four on the other one. Was there a reason for that, like some sort of like we could only accommodate four guys on this track.

00:12:27
Speaker 3: Situation, they could only accommodate like ten strippers at the other date. I don't, I'm not sure, but I was pumped. I was one of the.

00:12:36
Speaker 2: Four to be on that one versus the Stripper one.

00:12:41
Speaker 3: I would have loved to be on the stripper one.

00:12:43
Speaker 1: But what would what would you have done if you were on the stripper one.

00:12:49
Speaker 3: I would have put a little routine together. There might have been like a little worm in there, like a little pretty Ricky playing in the backgrounds. Yeah, but like being on for a person group date was great. It was sort of ironic that it's a race car date and I showed up in a car, and like, like has anyone driven stick? And I have not corvettes are manual. I mean it, excuse me automatic. I've never driven stick and sort of the last part of the race was like one lap, you know, fastest time wins, and just because I'd never driven stick, it was on the opposite side of the car to the wheel. I was like, I'm probably not going to win this even if I do, like, we still might all go to the after party, so I might as well just take advantage of, like make my own moment. The funny thing is like when we were doing the lap, I was the fastest, Like I would have won by like ten seconds.

00:13:44
Speaker 1: Oh really?

00:13:45
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I was like winning the race. But at that point I was like already committed to what I was doing. So we come around the last corner, I sort of like stalled the car. We just make out and have fun and chat for a little bit.

00:13:58
Speaker 1: Did you were you guys? Did you think you were feeling each other at that point? Where was there real chemistry there because it seemed like it.

00:14:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think probably like the conversation before that at the second cocktail party, Like there were different like pivotal points I think for us, you know, as the season went on, that was one of them. But I think we started to feel ourselves, Like maybe the conversation before and then just like getting the group date rows later that night was sort of a confirming all that.

00:14:29
Speaker 1: So then, uh, what's what I guess, what's the next pivotal moment in your guys relationship? Because you are one of the guys. You don't get a one on one until this current episode. Yeah, and being a viewer you were one of the guys, I was like, he's very likable. We think Jen likes you, we think you like Jen, but we're not really seeing much and maybe because you never got a one on one. So in my eyes, I'm like, maybe it's just like f old or did it really get there?

00:15:01
Speaker 6: Yeah?

00:15:01
Speaker 4: He truth me going into this episode when you got your one on one, I mean, once the one on one started, it was very evident how much your relationship had progressed over the weeks prior.

00:15:12
Speaker 2: But before it started, we were like, is he gonna go home? Like where are they? Where are they at? Like where was this relationship at? We barely?

00:15:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, It's funny that, Like I feel like the other guys were like that too, because me myself, like I was confident the whole time with me and Jen, But I'm not going to be going and like bragging about that to other guys. So I think some of them might have dout to me, but no, like our relationship was just like this uphill climb the whole time. I think one of the most pivotal points it was like at the first cocktail party and in Auckland and we just have like this. It wasn't a deep conversation at all, but we were like NonStop laughing the entire time. We were playing some games and she got me like a little bracelet, like a little gift, and it was just like such a fun and funny conversation. And like at that point, I realized, like this is great, Like I have so much fun with this girl. I like her. We've talked about like a little deep stuff, but I wasn't like trauma dumping on her. And then just from like that point on, I'm like, like I'm enjoying this, and I guess like the audience is like saying the latter part of our relationship.

00:16:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah.

00:16:21
Speaker 4: Was there any doubts in your mind or concerns that you had when week after week went by and you still hadn't gotten to one on one date.

00:16:29
Speaker 2: No.

00:16:29
Speaker 3: So there's this like an inflection point in the show, right where a certain amount of people go home and then out of the guy's left, like more people have had one on once who than who haven't. And at a certain point, I'm like, I feel so comfortable with like where we are in this relationship. I don't need of course I would want one if she gave me one, I'm like, it's a full day with Jen, but I didn't feel like I needed one at that point. So in my head, I'm like, I sort of the last one. I'm like, save the best for a last I didn't really viewed as a competition, but I understood that if I were to get like this last one on one and she gave me the rose, it means like she's coming to meet my family.

00:17:13
Speaker 1: What do you think? How would you have felt at that moment if Grant got the one on one and you didn't, would you have still been as confident or would you be like I would have left Okay?

00:17:25
Speaker 3: Oh really well yeah, because at that point, like even though like I felt confident, you know, confidence can borderline delusion, and she could only give you so much confirmation. And if she didn't give me a one on one, Like it's obvious that, like I thought more about the relationship than she did, and I would never invite her to meet my family.

00:17:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I get what you're saying.

00:17:48
Speaker 4: Of like, I didn't feel like I needed the one on one to like further our connection or make me feel reassured. But at that point you're probably thinking, well, I do need the one on one because you're going to come meet my family and I've never spent more Oh yeah, and it's alone.

00:18:00
Speaker 3: With you on my side. Like I still needed the one on one because meeting my family is a huge step to me. And like, as much as the show is about like let's say, like the guys trying to like win her over, like I felt like she needed to win me over too in a sense. So I really did need that one on one. And obviously, like at the end, I felt like ready and she felt ready.

00:18:23
Speaker 1: To did you and the other guys or did you ever ask, like you know, Devin or Grant like about their relationship or were you just kind of solely focused only on what you had going on?

00:18:39
Speaker 3: Yeah? No, I really didn't, like sort of from day one, I you know, in one bucket was my relationship with Jen, and on the other side was like my relationship with the guys, which because you spend like all the time with them, and I really never wanted those like paths across because like, when I was with Jen, it's me and her. I never thought about the other guys. That never talked about the other guys. And when I was with the guys, was with the guys, and I really separated those two in my head.

00:19:07
Speaker 4: Was there anyone that kind of had a big mouth about the relationship in the house or was that kind of like the consensus amongst everyone that it was being kept separate.

00:19:16
Speaker 3: I don't It definitely wasn't the con consensus because like people were obviously like talking. I don't know if anyone had like a huge moth about things. Yeah, I mean people people were all confident in their own rights.

00:19:30
Speaker 1: Yeah right, yeah, Sam m So we we see him really kind of we see him spiral basically in this episode, starting you know, at the radio group day, which you're.

00:19:45
Speaker 5: On the right.

00:19:46
Speaker 2: No, but I'm sure the guys came back and told you all about it.

00:19:48
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I wish I was at that day.

00:19:51
Speaker 1: What was I guess, so before that he seems to be one of the front runners, but there's there's some question there. Yeah, okay, so yeah, how did you guys feel about it?

00:20:05
Speaker 3: Honestly, the first week there, in my head, I'm like, this guy just says the same thing over and over again, and I don't think like the other guys even picked up on it at first, but then they started to obviously, And in my head, I'm like, there has to be a point where Jen realizes this. And so we were, you know, we're down to seven, you know, going into Seattle, and so you start to think about like who might be those four going to hometowns, and not once in my mind was I think that Sam was going to make it. I'm like, this is the point where like something happens, and it did by chance.

00:20:45
Speaker 4: Yeah, which is so interesting because she does say in the episode like before this week, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that Sam would likely be going to hometowns. But it does kind of all crumble where like you said, he's just saying the same thing over and over again. We also see as you're throughout the season him saying the same thing.

00:21:02
Speaker 2: Over and over.

00:21:03
Speaker 4: But it's hard to know if like that translated in the house as well, Like if it was just like we're just seeing that line over and over, if he genuinely talks like that.

00:21:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, no, he said the same thing over and over. But I also I didn't know what it was like between him and Jen, Like I don't know what anyone's relationship was like. So for all I knew, he could be he could have ten more lines. He says with her.

00:21:26
Speaker 4: I don't really have you been surprised watching anything back, Sam m or anyone else?

00:21:35
Speaker 3: Not really No, I mean it's obviously, you know, first time for me, so I don't know what's said behind closed doors, but between like what happened with me and her and then like what I hear about from the guys, it's sort of shown.

00:21:51
Speaker 4: What did the guys say when they came back from that group date when they gave you the little debrief.

00:21:56
Speaker 3: So I was actually was rooming with Devon at the time, so I like, I wasn't asleep yet. I think my one on one was the next day, so I was trying to go to sleep, and then Devin comes back and he's like, you won't believe what happens.

00:22:15
Speaker 4: Those are the best I remember those that I was on the show where you're like just like kind of asleep but like waiting for.

00:22:21
Speaker 2: Them to come back to if anything went down.

00:22:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, And then he told me, I'm like, yo, I can I literally said there, I'm like, I cannot wait to see this on TV.

00:22:30
Speaker 1: Do you think Sam, it was genuine or do you think he was trying to play the role of what he thought would do well on a show like The Bachelorette and if you don't want to, if you don't want to, yeah, no, I'll.

00:22:51
Speaker 3: I'll say I'll say this much. The lines that he said are like lines that you that seemed like prepared for a show like this.

00:23:02
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:23:02
Speaker 3: Like I didn't want to go in with like anything I wanted to say, like in front of cameras or in front of gen I just try to be like myself and however that plays out, that plays out. And I think that and not even just like all Sam, mamma, I feel like there are people who did just like come in and act a certain in front of cameras.

00:23:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, that happens every season. Was how are you with the cameras? Was it? Was it an easy adjustment?

00:23:32
Speaker 3: Dude? I thought I would be nervous, and I really didn't care. I feel like I didn't even notice they were there, which is a funny thing because like when you're with Jen, it's really like ten other people in the room, including the cameras, and I sort of just like blocked it out, which probably credit to her too, because we were just like so comfortable and cool with each other and just like focus on what we were doing.

00:24:02
Speaker 4: Let's get into your one on one date. So you go, you do the market. How'd you feel about the activity It looked. It looked really fun and very casual overall.

00:24:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, it was going into that like week in general. In my head, I'm like, oh, you know, I wish I was going skydiving or something like that. But after the date happened, I was like, I'm so glad I got this one because I feel like I probably had like the most continuous time with her. Like you said, it was casual, and it's it's something that like we would have done if I was dating Gen or anyone in the real world and we went on a date, like this is something we could do. You're not going skydiving every day, but you could go around to market and I go to a palm reader. So no, it was. It was a lot of fun, a lot of good quality time.

00:24:55
Speaker 1: Where is your head at on this date? If you do make it to hometowns, you're whatever it is. I don't know the exact timeline, but let's just say weeks away or less than a week away from a potential engagement. Are you there yet.

00:25:11
Speaker 3: At that point, I'm not ready for an engagement, just being honest. But I also know how quickly things could develop because at the beginning, you know, people are saying, oh, I feel connection with her within five minutes of meeting with her. I'm like, no, you can't. So you know, you're a lot. The relationship is always progressing and it's like a crush and then you start to like her, and then it's like, oh, I really like this person. And just because I had my one on one in my hometown within like a week of each other, like I knew the possibility of like where it could go, and like I really was like starting to fall for her, but I was not ready for an engagement at that point.

00:25:55
Speaker 1: What was the last time you brought a woman home to your parents? Like this is serious?

00:26:02
Speaker 3: Yeah, I've had like two long term relationships. The most recent one was the last time anyone met my mom and that ended probably like three years ago.

00:26:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, we see, we see.

00:26:17
Speaker 4: You and Jen kind of have a deeper, deeper conversation about your faith and about her experience being Buddhist and your experience being Jewish.

00:26:29
Speaker 2: What was Did you go into the date knowing you wanted to talk about that?

00:26:36
Speaker 1: No?

00:26:36
Speaker 6: I uh, I never had a plan for like what I was going to talk about, Like if our nighttime like I know historically nighttime portions of dates are like you know, they get deep.

00:26:49
Speaker 3: If we were just like walking around the whole time would have been fine by me. It just, you know, sort of happened to come up, which is important because I did, like I want my kids to be raised Jewish or at least half Jewish, and like have that faith and that culture in them. Obviously she's Buddhist and not Jewish, and I was open to that as well, like you have to be. If you're asking someone to be open to you, you need to be open to them. So it was an important conversation. I'm glad it happened.

00:27:20
Speaker 4: Can you tell us a little bit more about your famous Rabbi family memory.

00:27:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, it was my grandma's grandpa was like the head chief rabbi of Lithuania and you know, didn't want to leave the country, you know, during World War two. Judaism has obviously been so important, not just like recently, but like in like generations of my family. So very proud of that.

00:27:48
Speaker 1: Nice, very cool going into hometowns. What do you what are you most nervous about for Jen to meet your family and what are you most excited about.

00:28:01
Speaker 3: I'm most excited about how Jen is gonna mesh with them, right, Like you want someone who could just like you could bring home to your family, can have fun, drink, playboard games, like I don't know what families do, do whatever, just be able to shoot the shit. So I definitely want to see that, Like their interactions. What I'm nervous about, Like, I don't know if my mom will be tough on her. You know, I love my mom, but she could definitely be a critic because she is, like could be overprotective of her only son. But yeah, that would be interesting.

00:28:39
Speaker 1: Has that ever happened before?

00:28:42
Speaker 3: Not with the two girls I brought home, but we'll see.

00:28:46
Speaker 4: I also think it's different bringing someone home that you're like, hey, I've been doing this person for a couple of months, and then you know it's getting seriously like introduce you to mom, versus like, hey, I've been on one date with this person on this reality.

00:28:57
Speaker 2: So like the parents often come in as skeptics, which is to no.

00:29:00
Speaker 3: That's a that's a really good point too, because because I was definitely a little like in my head about that, because I just wanted I wanted like my whole family to accept like what I've been through and just like take my word for my word, and like I talk about it on the show, but I know it was a different time. But my grandparents weren't engaged after like three weeks. I'm like, it's already been seven.

00:29:21
Speaker 1: So yeah, that's true.

00:29:23
Speaker 2: You're like we're late. Let's get a ring on her fingers.

00:29:26
Speaker 3: Like, let's get a baby already.

00:29:29
Speaker 1: My mom she's like, you know, just very personable and just a sweet, lovely woman. And I remember, but I never really I never, you know, I never really brought a serious girlfriend home, and I think I was like whatever in my like mid twenties, and the first time I brought a girl whole the way she acted, I was like, where the fuck is this coming from my dad's like see your about baby's the fuck you? I was like, whoa, what.

00:29:56
Speaker 2: Did she do? Your mom was just like it's not when I was a sweet angel.

00:30:02
Speaker 1: Yeah, I know that's.

00:30:04
Speaker 3: How that's how he knew you were the one.

00:30:07
Speaker 1: But but yeah, like this she was just like very uh liketing interrogator a little. I was like, what do you what do you to where I was like, okay.

00:30:16
Speaker 4: All right, and I don't even know who this girl is. But it probably wasn't that serious.

00:30:19
Speaker 1: No, it wasn't that serious. But I remember and my dad just was like in his glory because he he found it so entertaining. And I was like, I never saw the side. But no, she yeah, you that's probably how I did know you were the one.

00:30:31
Speaker 2: Thank god we were already engaged, so.

00:30:33
Speaker 1: That like never happened again. I think it was just like the first one where I was like.

00:30:38
Speaker 2: She probably got nervous. She never met a girl you brought home. You were like twenty six.

00:30:41
Speaker 1: Probably I was younger than that.

00:30:43
Speaker 3: You didn't you didn't meet his mom until you were engaged already.

00:30:45
Speaker 4: Yeah, because we got engaged on the show and on Bachelor in Paradise there's no like family interaction.

00:30:52
Speaker 1: It's different.

00:30:52
Speaker 3: I didn't think about that all right, kind of.

00:30:55
Speaker 1: Just like looking back on the season, now we're darring hometown, You're going, who are your like guy friends in the house, Like do you have like a crew?

00:31:05
Speaker 3: Yeah? I mean and like not to I'm probably gonna lease some people out of no disrespect or if I'm forgetting someone, but like you know, Jonathan Hakeem, Marcus, Devin Austin, like those are my boys, Like I'll be friends with them forever.

00:31:21
Speaker 1: And looking back, what did you I guess, what was your most memorable time on the season.

00:31:27
Speaker 2: Up until this point? Obviously not hometowns.

00:31:31
Speaker 3: Wow, that is a great question that I should have thought about before.

00:31:35
Speaker 1: Were you aware since you never watched the show where you so I never watched Travel?

00:31:41
Speaker 3: Yeah, so I I'd never watched the show before I like interviewed. But then I did watch a few seasons, so I knew.

00:31:49
Speaker 2: We always recommend that when people go in the show and they've never seen it before. It gives me so much anxiety. I'm like, do a little research please.

00:31:56
Speaker 3: I actually had a really weird feeling that we would be traveling internationally right away for reasons I can't say, but I was not surprised, but I was happy about it.

00:32:11
Speaker 1: Was this your first time in Australia and New Zealand.

00:32:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, first time in both Australia and New Zealand, which I was pumped about. I'm a huge traveler, like I said, will travel all the time, but I've never been to that part of the world.

00:32:24
Speaker 1: Nice, all right, let's should we jump in play a game?

00:32:27
Speaker 3: Yeah?

00:32:28
Speaker 1: All right, this is a rapid fire get to know me with Jeremy. You ready, first thing that comes to your head? Yeah, I guess it's not first thing that comes to your head. Just like answer quickly, you know, hurry up. Okay, what's your signature cocktail? Oh?

00:32:50
Speaker 3: Wow, I don't really make cocktails. I have bartender before, but just tequila sodas, I Mike, I'll change the question, might go to drink of choice? Is red wine?

00:33:00
Speaker 1: Well? Yeah, that's yeah. I'm not not your signature cocktail that you make, just like what you would gain.

00:33:06
Speaker 3: I take a bottle of red wine important a glass and that's that's how I make it.

00:33:10
Speaker 1: Okay, what was your favorite? But no, but if you go to a bar, what's your what's the drink that you order.

00:33:18
Speaker 3: Don't don't shame me, but I've ordered wine at bars before.

00:33:22
Speaker 2: Okay, I like that, Like I'll take the house red at the bar.

00:33:26
Speaker 1: What was your that's actually how you how you actually get pretty fucked up? What was your favorite group date this season?

00:33:36
Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like it has to be the race car date, Like I had so much fun, like the guys that were there, and then the moment that that you know, I pulled for jam like I love that date.

00:33:46
Speaker 1: Dream vacation destination.

00:33:49
Speaker 3: Oh this changes all the time. I think right now it's Japan.

00:33:56
Speaker 1: Cheapest in thirty eight years something on.

00:34:00
Speaker 3: I feel like you're thinking about going there if you know that.

00:34:02
Speaker 2: We have been.

00:34:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been there. I went once. It was to me is it's still the like my favorite place I've ever been. But yeah, we were thinking about going there. We just recently booked a trip and we're doing London Schopenhagen, which is like the most.

00:34:18
Speaker 3: Dude, but Copenhagen is dope.

00:34:22
Speaker 4: We've never been, but we were laughing because we were thinking about Japan and that I've never been, he's been, and then we decided on London Copenhagen just a little bit closer, a little bit easier, and then after we found out it's like the cheapest ever in Japan.

00:34:37
Speaker 2: Right now and the dollar in London.

00:34:38
Speaker 3: Is stock Yeah, but I think that the thing about Japan, or at least the way like I travel, I feel like I would need a month there to like see what I want to see.

00:34:46
Speaker 2: That's the thing.

00:34:46
Speaker 4: We're only doing like a week to ten days on this trip, and we're like, if we're going to go Japan, it's got to be like two and a half weeks, which is a bit more of a commitment.

00:34:54
Speaker 3: You guys should should add a few days in Stockholm while you're right around there.

00:34:59
Speaker 1: I would do that, can't we like literally are or like so.

00:35:02
Speaker 2: No, we won't be doing that, thank you.

00:35:07
Speaker 1: Okay, What your favorite thing about Jena.

00:35:15
Speaker 3: Her Son's of humor? Yeah, I've never had so much fun with someone.

00:35:21
Speaker 1: Your favorite episode of this season that you've watched back.

00:35:25
Speaker 2: That's a good question.

00:35:27
Speaker 3: That is a good question. I will say I guess six just because it's my my one on one.

00:35:37
Speaker 1: Seattle favorite food or cuisine.

00:35:42
Speaker 3: Uh, sushi and grapes.

00:35:45
Speaker 1: Oh like not grapes.

00:35:48
Speaker 4: Yeah, we actually just went to a restaurant frozen grapes.

00:35:52
Speaker 3: You like, that's disrespectful.

00:35:54
Speaker 1: Oh wow, okay red grape or or green.

00:36:00
Speaker 3: Both, but like not cotton candy. I don't okay, Yeah, you were talking about a restaurant.

00:36:08
Speaker 4: Oh, I was saying, we just went to a restaurant in New York called Rakku and they end off the meal and they serve you grapes.

00:36:14
Speaker 3: I obviously need to go there now.

00:36:16
Speaker 2: It's perfect for you.

00:36:17
Speaker 1: You.

00:36:19
Speaker 2: Oh, you're in New York, you should definitely go. There's two locations. There's a new one in Hell's Kitchen, and then there's one in the West Village. Okay, so West Village and there's sushi on the menu.

00:36:28
Speaker 4: Really yeah, so you get sushi and your meals grapes, my coat by myself.

00:36:34
Speaker 1: Uh, go to comfort movie or show?

00:36:39
Speaker 5: Oh, let's go with some movies La la land if you want a good tier at the end.

00:36:51
Speaker 2: Interesting that that's your comfort movie.

00:36:53
Speaker 3: The other guys, you know, Will Farrow. But yes, I feel like yeah, yeah, I feel like a lot of maybe just the time that I was like born and raised, but a lot of those like Will Ferrell movies will never like go go back to my mind.

00:37:09
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:37:10
Speaker 3: Also a non Will Farrell won't star skin Hutch with Ben Stiller movie too?

00:37:15
Speaker 1: Yeah? Uh? An artist you'd love to see perform live.

00:37:20
Speaker 3: Oh, I actually had lower seats to see him, and then he canceled his tour, but wizked.

00:37:26
Speaker 1: What is your love language? Uh?

00:37:31
Speaker 3: Probably quality time?

00:37:35
Speaker 1: What is your favorite way to unwind? Sleep? Something? Something batination doesn't know about you? Oh?

00:37:48
Speaker 3: Wow, this is a lot of pressure, Joe. Yeah, yeah, I uh. I studied engineering in math at college.

00:38:00
Speaker 1: If you could sum up gen season of the batchler at in one word, what would it be?

00:38:04
Speaker 3: Let's go with.

00:38:08
Speaker 4: Intentional okay, and then going into next week, can you give us a little teaser for hometowns?

00:38:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, hometown's next week. Jen's gonna be my family. It'll be interesting. I can't wait to watch it back personally without giving away like what me and Jen do at the hometowns, it's sort of it's sort of similar to some of the dates me and her I've been on before, and it's a lot of fun.

00:38:41
Speaker 2: It's in New York, right, No, he didn't well some town?

00:38:46
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I guess.

00:38:47
Speaker 3: I guess I did in Connecticut because that's like true hometown. Ya.
