<v Speaker 1>tis the season everyone, Merry Christmas. And to commemorate that,
<v Speaker 1>I think it's time for a little Pooh Christmas adventure.
<v Speaker 1>What do you think? I think so too. Hold on,
<v Speaker 1>let me get on my skepticals. Ah yes, and it
<v Speaker 1>starts with none other than Winnie the Pool. Well, it
<v Speaker 1>was a cold, snowy day in the hundred acre wood.
<v Speaker 1>Winnie the Pooh watched the snowflakes fall outside his window.
<v Speaker 1>Oh I love it when it snows, Pooh said, but
<v Speaker 1>it makes me so very hungry. Pooh decide to have
<v Speaker 1>his favorite snack. Can you guess what that is? Honey? Well?
<v Speaker 1>When Pooh finished eating, he looked out the window again.
<v Speaker 1>Now all he could see was white. Oh dear, he
<v Speaker 1>thought something is wrong with the windows. But soon he
<v Speaker 1>realized that he was snowed in. Ooh, now what shall
<v Speaker 1>I do? He wondered? Tis a puzzlement. Well, after much thinking, think, think, think,
<v Speaker 1>who had an idea? He could use his honeypot to
<v Speaker 1>dig himself out? Oh? All This work is making me
<v Speaker 1>rather hungry, Pooh said, as he tunneled out through the snow.
<v Speaker 1>But I've run out of honey. Oh, perhaps my dear
<v Speaker 1>friend Piglet has some. With a try. Pooh arrived at
<v Speaker 1>Piglet's house and found him snowed in too, So Pooh
<v Speaker 1>used the honeypot to dig out his friend, and it
<v Speaker 1>took him quite a bit of time. Oh, thank you,
<v Speaker 1>Piglet cried. I don't do piglet. Piglet cried when Pooh
<v Speaker 1>finally reached Piglet's door. You've rescued me. Well, it's no bother,
<v Speaker 1>puffed wentny the Pooh, trying to catch his breath. Do
<v Speaker 1>you wum Do you have any honey, Piglet? Well, I'm
<v Speaker 1>afraid not, Piglet said, But well, owl might some tells me?
<v Speaker 1>They're on their way to owls. Pooh and Piglet walked
<v Speaker 1>to Owl's house and found that he was snowed in two. Well,
<v Speaker 1>I suppose we shall have to dig him out, and
<v Speaker 1>so they did. It'll be easy if we did it together,
<v Speaker 1>Piglet suggested, What a grand idea, said Pooh. So Pooh
<v Speaker 1>and Piglet worked together to dig out Owl and this time,
<v Speaker 1>the digging went much more quickly. Thank you, Owl said,
<v Speaker 1>when he opened his door, would you like some hot
<v Speaker 1>tea with honey, who asked hopefully. Well. After warming up
<v Speaker 1>inside Owl's house, the three friends went to dig out Rabbit.
<v Speaker 1>Things were going quite well until they heard a scratching sound. Now,
<v Speaker 1>whatever could that be, Pooh asked, Perhaps it's a heff
<v Speaker 1>a lump, Piglet cried, very timid fellow. Suddenly Rabbit burst
<v Speaker 1>through the snow. What's going on here, Rabbit cried, Well,
<v Speaker 1>we're digging you out, Pooh said, But I was coming
<v Speaker 1>to dig you out, Rabbit said, Rabbits are natural diggers,
<v Speaker 1>you know. Well, perhaps we are to go and dig
<v Speaker 1>out Eo. Well, with the four of us, it shouldn't
<v Speaker 1>take no time at all. Put their backs into it.
<v Speaker 1>So Pooh, Piglet, Owl, and Rabbit went to Eoor's house.
<v Speaker 1>Everyone helped with the digging, and they uncovered ER's house
<v Speaker 1>in no time. Pooh tugged on the bell rope to
<v Speaker 1>let Eor know that they were there, But it made
<v Speaker 1>a very peculiar sound. Oh, it kind of sounded like eyorre,
<v Speaker 1>if you know what I'm saying. If I'm not mistaken
<v Speaker 1>Rabbit began, I'd say that that's not a bell rope,
<v Speaker 1>it's e your's tail. Oh, I'm terribly sorry, said Winnie
<v Speaker 1>the Pooh. Don't worry, Eor's sighed. No one bothers about
<v Speaker 1>me anyway. But Eyor Piglet explained, we just rescued you,
<v Speaker 1>and now that I've been rescued, let's see if Christopher
<v Speaker 1>Robin needs our help, which was a good suggestion. Pooh, Piglet, Owl,
<v Speaker 1>and Rabbit and Or came upon Christopher Robin in the forest.
<v Speaker 1>Oh are you stuck? Shall we help dig you out?
<v Speaker 1>Asked Pooh. We're really quite good at it, you know.
<v Speaker 1>Well I'm not stuck, you silly old bear, laughed Christopher Robin.
<v Speaker 1>I'm making a snow man is then? Would you want
<v Speaker 1>to build a a snowman? Pooh said curiously, Well, how
<v Speaker 1>do you make one of those? Well, I'll show you,
<v Speaker 1>Christopher Robin said, if we all work together, it will
<v Speaker 1>be an even better one. So Christopher Robin, Pooh and
<v Speaker 1>Rabbit helped to roll a giant snowball for the snow
<v Speaker 1>man's body. Eorre found stones to use for the snow
<v Speaker 1>man's face. Piglet searched and searched for twigs to use
<v Speaker 1>his arms and owl flew them into place. oOoOO. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>now this is the grandest snowman I have ever seen,
<v Speaker 1>Christopher Robins said, and I couldn't have done it without
<v Speaker 1>all of you. The end, and Merry Christmas. If you're

<v Speaker 1>Winnie the Pool and a tree for Christmas. Shall we
<v Speaker 1>snuggle up to the fire and give it a listen?
<v Speaker 1>All right, let's do so. Let's see a tree for Christmas.
<v Speaker 1>I saw in a book, said Winnie the Pooh one
<v Speaker 1>wintry day, as he sat in his cozy little house
<v Speaker 1>with Piglet, that at Christmas you should have a tree
<v Speaker 1>in your house, covered with decorations and lights and looking wonderful.
<v Speaker 1>A tree in our house, replied Piglet, a little confused.
<v Speaker 1>But I live in a tree. Oh yes, said Pooh,
<v Speaker 1>and so do I. This will be trickier than I thought.
<v Speaker 1>We had better, ask Owl. Owl was very smart. A
<v Speaker 1>tree in a tree, exclaimed Owl when they explained everything
<v Speaker 1>to him. Oh, that's not right at all. I've heard
<v Speaker 1>of ships and bottles, but never trees in trees. Why
<v Speaker 1>trees live in forests and we live in a tree,
<v Speaker 1>and that's all there is to say about it. Hm.
<v Speaker 1>I suppose if it were a very small one, it
<v Speaker 1>might fit, ventured Piglet in a bottle, asked Pooh, who
<v Speaker 1>hasn't quite been paying attention. Well, through the door, said Piglet.
<v Speaker 1>Come on, let's let's come on and we'll go hunt
<v Speaker 1>for one. So they walked through the door. That was exciting.
<v Speaker 1>So they said good bye to Owl and headed out
<v Speaker 1>into the cold to hunt for the type of tree
<v Speaker 1>that might fit through a door. Well, they found one,
<v Speaker 1>and it was way too tall. Here's another, but it
<v Speaker 1>was very very wide, and this one, well it was
<v Speaker 1>just too spiky. What we need, said Pooh, is a
<v Speaker 1>not very grown tree, and not very much grows at
<v Speaker 1>Eore's gloomy place, So let's try there. So they did,
<v Speaker 1>but all they found was a gloomy looking eore and
<v Speaker 1>some gloomy looking thistles. The thistles would certainly fit through
<v Speaker 1>a door, but h didn't somehow have that Christmasy wonderfulness
<v Speaker 1>that they were hoping for. And I agree. They had
<v Speaker 1>just about given up and were on their way home
<v Speaker 1>for a little smackerel of something when they came upon
<v Speaker 1>a clearing, and in the middle they saw the tree.
<v Speaker 1>Not too tall, not too wide, not too spiky, and
<v Speaker 1>just the right size to fit through a door. There
<v Speaker 1>it is, and now we must get it home, said Pooh.
<v Speaker 1>So he pulled and he pulled, and Piglet pushed, pushed,
<v Speaker 1>but the little tree did not want to be moved.
<v Speaker 1>It seemed actually quite happy right where it was. Well.
<v Speaker 1>By now, nearly everyone in the hundred acre Wood had
<v Speaker 1>heard about the Great Christmas tree hunt, and they had
<v Speaker 1>all gathered to help. Tigger tried bouncing it out of
<v Speaker 1>the ground, but it didn't work, and Rabbit tried to
<v Speaker 1>nibble through the trunk. Oh much too big, And Keanga
<v Speaker 1>spoke very firmly to the tree, saying, now that's quite
<v Speaker 1>enough fuss. But the tree stayed exactly where it was. Well,
<v Speaker 1>you know how Christmas trees can be. Just at that moment,
<v Speaker 1>the first flake of snow began to fall, and Christopher
<v Speaker 1>Robin came whistling through the forest. Hello everyone, he said,
<v Speaker 1>very brightly, and then he saw their dejected faces. Why
<v Speaker 1>what's the matter? Cheer up? It's nearly Christmas, you know, exactly,
<v Speaker 1>sighed Pooh. It's nearly Christmas and we haven't got a
<v Speaker 1>tree looking at all christmasy and wonderful. We found this one,
<v Speaker 1>but it wants to stay right here in the forest. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>I see, said Christopher Robin. Well, if the tree won't
<v Speaker 1>come for Christmas, we shall bring Christmas to the tree.
<v Speaker 1>That sounds like a good idea. And so it was
<v Speaker 1>decided that Rabbit waved his arms and a great deal,
<v Speaker 1>and he gave everyone a job. Pooh was to gather
<v Speaker 1>some pine cones. Piglet found haco horns, an owl went
<v Speaker 1>home to fetch various candle ends. Hmm, sounds pretty christmasy
<v Speaker 1>so far. Tigger bounced high into the trees to gather mistletoe.
<v Speaker 1>Kanga and Rue picked bright red berries. Eore offered his
<v Speaker 1>back as a lowish stool, and Christopher Robin hung everything
<v Speaker 1>on their little tree. There very carefully, Christopher Robin lit
<v Speaker 1>a candle. Ru squeaked and squealed with delight. Stand back, Rue,
<v Speaker 1>dear worried Kanga. The sun had just set in the
<v Speaker 1>hundred acre Wood, and the tree looked simply wonderful. The
<v Speaker 1>candles flickered in the breeze and bounced light all around
<v Speaker 1>the clearing. This little tree, announced Christopher Robin, solemnly, is
<v Speaker 1>our Christmas tree. Pooh Bear and Piglet found it, and
<v Speaker 1>everyone else helped. We must meet here every Christmas, and
<v Speaker 1>every year I will have grown. He glanced at his
<v Speaker 1>little piglet friend and others, well, not so much. But
<v Speaker 1>the tree, the tree will certainly keep growing because it
<v Speaker 1>knows that the forest was the best place of all
<v Speaker 1>for it to be. And they all cheered and wished
<v Speaker 1>each other a very very merry Christmas. Indeed, the end, well,
<v Speaker 1>there you have a tree for Christmas. And we hope
<v Speaker 1>you enjoyed that story little journey into the hundred acre Wood,
<v Speaker 1>and thanks for coming along with us, and we hope
