For The Dads is for every guy who needs a place to talk, vent, and laugh about all the insane, hilarious, and chaotic sh** (sometimes literal) that comes with being a dad.
Hosted by Will Compton–NFL Vet, creator of Bussin' With the Boys, and proud dad of two. This show isn’t about expert advice and how fatherhood is the greatest thing on earth—it’s about embracing the love and suck of parenthood every day. From balancing work and family to battling the mental load, fears, and the moments that wreck you in the best way, we dive into it all with honesty, vulnerability, and a sense of humor. Cause at the end of the day... us dads have no idea what we're doing.
Alongside Will is his producer Sherman Young, a recently new father who’s currently deep in the trenches of Fatherhood and loving every minute of it. Together, they’ll break down everything that can go right and wrong (...usually wrong) when you bring tiny humans into this world.
Expect funny parenting stories, laughs, call-ins, advice, weekly themes, and the kind of conversations you’d have over a cold beer in the garage. Whether you’re raising teens or still Googling “how to install a car seat”, For the Dads is the ultimate podcast for dads who are in it, about to be in it, or just trying to do their best while screwing it up along the way.

Where's the PT sicico gear? Here's the ptsick O gey. 00:04:31 Speaker 2: It's here. It's part of our When we sit down and meet and we have our own little APR after pod report, we go through a lot of the stuff that the community is saying and vocalizing to us to help allow and make the show better. I have I have some APR reporting to do. Yes, please, I know you do as well. Let's let's just start it off the top with the apology, our apologies because last week I dropped the first what thirty seconds introing Taylor's news that he delivered to the pet siko community, the pop Team six community, and I got several messages about it, making sure everything was all good. They haven't listened to the episode yet, Hey, Willie boy, haven't listened to the episode yet. 00:05:15 Speaker 1: Just saw the clip. 00:05:15 Speaker 2: Just want to make sure everything's good in your world and I'm like, everything's fine. 00:05:20 Speaker 3: There's a lot of empty Sikos that were very worried in the comments. 00:05:24 Speaker 2: Drove a lot of good link clicks, pushed a lot of new people to the brand, the community. Hopefully people engage stuck with us, be like, oh, this seems like a fun show. We welcome you aboard to everybody else like inside jokes. Maybe you didn't feel like it was an inside jokes, because yes, we cry a lot. 00:05:40 Speaker 1: On this show. We do get serious a lot on this show. 00:05:43 Speaker 2: So who I understand and empathize with people thinking like, oh, I thought this was going to be serious, you know f you guys, Yeah yeah, yeah, like with autism, Miller, We'll get to autism. We'll get to that. But here's one from Brittney Underwood sixteen on YouTube. Y'all, this wasn't okay. I almost started crying because Taylor seemed like he was seriously going to announce some terrible news. Now you have me in the first half anyway, Girls Rule, Girl Dad's Rule even more part emoji Britney, Brittany, thank you for writing in. It was you know, we primed it up. We did. 00:06:15 Speaker 3: It was an electric lead up. As far as like before the Dads goes. Yeah, as far as our intro clips that go out, maybe a hundred likes here, maybe a couple comments there, Hey. 00:06:27 Speaker 2: Ge't wait to go chuck out the bud Supersto guy. 00:06:31 Speaker 3: We had like crazy comments across all the trailers and the post from Taylor, the post from you, and we played. We played with the sickos hearts. 00:06:40 Speaker 1: We played. 00:06:41 Speaker 2: Yeah, we tugged on some heartstrings, we leveraged some things. But however, everybody in our community knows you never know what you're gonna get. 00:06:48 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why you tune in. 00:06:49 Speaker 3: That is and if we haven't illustrated that already with some of our clips where it's uh, Will sobbing and then ten minutes later he's playing rap music on him phone that we're dancing to. Then I'm sobbing, and then I'm doing the Boston terrible dad voice. 00:07:06 Speaker 2: Ten minutes later, you apologize to me after the show I did from the Austin Miller layup that you got me on. But I'm thinking I said, dude, fuck you for that, because you truly have. 00:07:18 Speaker 3: Oh no, you're talking about the sad, the fake sad comment that I was also gonna hoologize. 00:07:26 Speaker 1: Austin Millers or autism. Miller's a separate one. 00:07:28 Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, the sad comment of the wife leaving the family, you teamed me up, and I was like, I was kind of frazzled and upset that you delivered it to me that way. However, game respects game. That was phenomenal. Thank you. 00:07:43 Speaker 3: But also I will say this, I like actually apologize to listeners because there probably are some listeners that like do if we are like crying, they probably cry along with it and like they're emotionally invested in the show. 00:07:59 Speaker 2: And I feel like that's a pretty cool part of our show. 00:08:02 Speaker 1: And I. 00:08:04 Speaker 3: Definitely pulled that string too hard. I feel like I pulled that string too. That's one where you actually took advantage of me. I did in us in the community. 00:08:11 Speaker 2: Yeah, because when it is sad alert, it's it's the time been a sad alert. Yeah, so you kind of took advantage I did on that. 00:08:23 Speaker 3: I like, I feel very bad and it's not Dom's fault. That was funny. Yeah, what Dom did was funny. 00:08:31 Speaker 2: And as Dom's listening to it, He's like, Wow, he's really hyping this up. Dom did follow back up with us. 00:08:38 Speaker 4: Oh good, Dom wrote just listen to the pod that I love the shout out, thanks for my message. I love the fake quiver Insuran's voice, and I was cracking my or up to myself hearing will be genuinely concerned for a bit. I'm sorry for giving you boys a brief part attack. You guys are seriously the best looking forward to the pod every week, and I just wrote back, you're a sick out. 00:08:56 Speaker 2: Well, if Dom had fun, then everyone wins yeah hopefully, yeah, yeah yeah, but I do. 00:09:02 Speaker 3: I do genuinely apologize for that. There was one time where I pulled the prank on you with Taylor and was trying to mess with you with Taylor, and then you went into full oh Sherman's gonna mess with me, I'll mess with them back, and you pretended to be really mad at me, and it took about ten minutes for me to then call you and say, hey, since you're my boss, I'm really scared right now, and so whatever game we're doing, I would love for it to end. And I am really really sorry. I think I said that I loved you maybe like eight times on the call, and you were laughing exactly like that I'm not going sure, Bro, I love you. 00:09:41 Speaker 2: I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Oh you kid, I kid too. Yeah, And so that I was like, I'm done. I'm done doing pranks on Will and Taylor. I'm gonna steer clear of that. So you have an apology. That was my apology? 00:09:55 Speaker 1: Oh that was it? 00:09:56 Speaker 2: Yeah? Okay, Yeah, I thought you had one with our boy, Austin Miller. Oh, I have a thank you. I have a follow up. You have an APR. I have an APR. 00:10:06 Speaker 3: This came from our good friend Austin Miller. This is Austin Miller. Austin Austin. We have show notes that are typed out. There was a mistake made as highlighted a highlighted in our clip last week and on the podcast. Will you did a fantastic job of both reading and pronouncing autism. Miller, you did nothing wrong. Will is blameless in this, okay, but Austin's name and unintentionally that was not a bit that was Bitloh. Yeah, can we get the bitchecker to check that, and just can we make sure that that was bitless because it was Yeah, well there was some follow up on Facebook because. 00:10:52 Speaker 2: On Facebook, yeah, you know, it's real when it's on Facebook. 00:10:56 Speaker 3: Well, you know the mom and dad are getting involved when it's Facebook too, which they did. The probably Austin's entire family basically found this clip and jumped in. I'm sure chef will probably pull these up on the screen. Do we want to do it that way? And I'll just read some of these comments out. Austin said, Hey, I'm never gonna live this down. If you smell smoke coming for Texas, just know it's me getting risk regardless, though I appreciate the shout out, just wanted to highlight the boys coming together and supporting each other on our respective dad journey. 00:11:31 Speaker 2: Great group of guys. 00:11:32 Speaker 3: I wouldn't trade for anything less than eight weeks left until we have our little one, and I couldn't be more excited. Austin, that is that is great news. We can pause there just for a second and say congratulations. 00:11:45 Speaker 2: Yeah, let's celebrate Austin, Yes, for just this moment. 00:11:49 Speaker 3: He still loved his closing remark, still love the pod. Good We then we replied, We basically apologized via Derek on the FDD account. Austin got in there, Hey, don't be sorry, it's okay. Well then Katie Miller jumps in, you may recognize that last name. Hi, I'm the wife and this is one of the funniest days of my life with six crying, laughing jeez. Ashley Chinnawith then jumped in said, as the sister in law, I'm changing his name in my phone. 00:12:28 Speaker 2: Austin Austin. 00:12:32 Speaker 3: Jackie Chappa then jumped in, bajaha, thanks for the laugh, and as his sister, yes, he will be referred to as Autism Miller for the next twelve and a half weeks. Katie then replied, he had to remind me where the twelve and a half came from. You ain't right, what is the twelve and a half from? 00:12:51 Speaker 2: No clue? Oh okay, fabulous. It's good they have their own lord and inside they have their own lord. The only thing I'm worried about is Austin saying yeah, in eight weeks, I'm gonna be a dad and maybe they're like, actually, that's twelve and a half. Hey, slow down, Autism Millers, like he my boy's Austin. This is now going to be his nickname for any time he screws up in the family, just because he thought of like an any cookout, any family gathering. Anytime he messes up, it's just gonna be a autism pipe. 00:13:29 Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, and uh he just he just enjoyed a podcast. Yeah, like that's the only crime he did. And he just rode in because he's a part of the community. He's like, yeah, let me get right with the boys. Let me just shout them out. Let's hope to get shows. Four best friends, all wearing Pete six, like they're all in on it, and he's out numbered. Dude, wife, sister in law and sister can jump in. 00:13:58 Speaker 2: And want more. And one more? Oh no, it's uh where where is that? One more? 00:14:07 Speaker 3: Christ And O'Reilly? We love our son in law Austin. Oh no wait wait, I was gonna say, I misspoke. 00:14:20 Speaker 2: I missmoke. 00:14:21 Speaker 3: Mother in law said, we love our son in law. Autism Miller. 00:14:26 Speaker 2: The laws are in on it, Autism Miller. He's awesome and this is hilarious. 00:14:31 Speaker 1: We ruined his life. 00:14:32 Speaker 2: We ruined his life because a nickname like that, like, they'll continue to use that and at some point it'll bubble and it'll get personal. And man, there's nothing we can do. Because again, that was that was that was bitless. Yeah, there was. 00:14:52 Speaker 3: There was zero pre production notes of like I just read the card. 00:14:59 Speaker 5: Job yeah sure, Yeah that clip when you added in the ron burgundy was a very nice touch too. 00:15:06 Speaker 2: Saw that thank you to read anything on that card. Go check out the clips the dead Spot on all socials. Go follow. I have some quick recaps too that I can do really quickly. Yeah, rip through them. 00:15:19 Speaker 3: Meg Allenson on Spotify said, my dad forgot me at preschool one time, and I refuse to let him forget it. 00:15:26 Speaker 2: I'm thirty years old, mind you. That comes from me forgetting to pick up Scarlet the other day from daycare man, forgetting to pick up at because how long, like, how late were you picking up Scarlett? 00:15:39 Speaker 3: Thankfully I did get there before the cutoff, because there is a cutoff where you. 00:15:44 Speaker 1: See you're fine. 00:15:46 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's not even a real thing you forgot in the moment you're like, oh shit, I gotta go pick her up. She's just letting me imagine the fear and just oh you forget to pick up your kids? 00:15:57 Speaker 1: Cool. 00:15:58 Speaker 2: Yeah. I was late one time picking up Rue and I thought it was the cutoff was three thirty, which the cutoff is three thirty, But they want the older kids going at three thirty, so they want all everybody in Rue's age picked up by three fifteen. Yeah, but I just as I'm driving over there, just feeling terrible. I'm just envisioning sweet Roue sitting there by herself, and it just like broke my heart. As I'm going to pick her up. Everything was fine, yeah, but just everything that goes on in your head as a parent, you. 00:16:25 Speaker 1: Just feel terrible. 00:16:27 Speaker 2: You feel sad thinking about your little one just sitting there by themselves, Like, yeah, when's my dad gonna pick me up? And my dad gonna be here right? 00:16:36 Speaker 1: Yeah? 00:16:36 Speaker 2: And then I had to remind myself she has no concept of time. Yeah, so she's not like checking her watch back man, it's past three fifteen to day probably having a blast. Yeah. Yeah, it was all good, But everything that I was creating in my brain, I was like, oh, this feels awful. I couldn't imagine like forgetting my kid. Oh yeah, and thankfully, like, oh, you didn't pick them up and you're both at home. 00:16:56 Speaker 1: You didn't pick up Rue. 00:16:58 Speaker 3: That that was just the greatest question I've ever been asked, who's picking up our daughter if you're still at work? 00:17:08 Speaker 2: I think go so far, honey. 00:17:11 Speaker 3: Kyle Smith wrote on YouTube, this is my final callback. My wife is pregnant and we found out the gender, and we find out the gender in about a month. Taylor's announcement is what I'm hoping doesn't happen to me. 00:17:23 Speaker 2: Lol. 00:17:24 Speaker 3: I want an heir to the throne boys. But of course we will be happy no matter the gender. Healthy is a true goal for our baby has to be healthy, has to be. 00:17:34 Speaker 2: Kyle, Congratulations. You get caught in like wishing for a certain gender and it's just it's ah, you're just planning a seed to be let down, Adam expectation, planning a seed to be let down. 00:17:45 Speaker 3: Yeah, and that bilical cord just playing tricks, dude, Yeah, figure it out. 00:17:50 Speaker 6: Yeah. 00:17:50 Speaker 1: Man. 00:17:51 Speaker 2: What's hilarious about the tailor thing happening is they were going into it wanting to be surprised by the gender, like, not no the gender until. 00:18:01 Speaker 1: The baby was born. 00:18:02 Speaker 2: I didn't even know that. 00:18:02 Speaker 1: You know, people they just. 00:18:04 Speaker 2: Wait until the end to be like, we're just gonna find out what it is like in the in the delivery room. That was their path at first. Then they got curious and found out the gender through the ultrasound. Yeah, hyped up tears of joy. Taylor's finally getting a boy. I mean, you know Taylor, for those weeks, he was like sky high, really dud, he just can't do anything but just be happy for him. Yeah, you see the emotion. Yeah, and it's like he's finally getting he's finally getting one. And he didn't know what that meant for this office too. 00:18:37 Speaker 3: Yeah, Like it's truly a thing in that Like we did the whole bit of the ritual and everything, but it's a that's a real thing in this office that gets talked about a lot. 00:18:47 Speaker 2: Yeah, anybody who's been in this office. We just have girls. Yeah, both my girls. It's when Bust with the Boys was going, Willow like Taylor already had win. But since Bust when the boy started, he said, h Willow, yeah girl, clump, he's got two boys. But when he started working for busting girl, he's got a girl on the way. I have a girl. You have a girl? Yeah, forgot about you. He was about to be the pack ripper, the curse breaker. 00:19:16 Speaker 1: M But going back to it, if they had stayed. 00:19:20 Speaker 2: On their path of just being surprised, they would have never had to go through this grief. Yeah, being let down. Yeah, good. 00:19:32 Speaker 1: S's and pas man. I mean, we'reaking the white chromosome. 00:19:35 Speaker 3: We're not even into the episode yet, and think about how much we've already covered a lot. 00:19:40 Speaker 2: There's been a lot. Yeah, listen, I know I said at the top, we have a rat in the house. 00:19:44 Speaker 3: Yes, I'm scared. I'm legitimately like I thought it was a mouse. 00:19:51 Speaker 1: A rat, it's Rue. Rue's a rat. 00:20:00 Speaker 2: In two things, two things I think. I think to myself, she's a little she doesn't know she's being a rat, but she's also being a rat. How do you confront your kids when they're tattling on you? Because now I found out, like Ruge's tattled on her dad, but also my second one. And this is for the dads out there, because I know what happens. I doubt it happens to the other side because I'm never prying about or probing the way mom operates. I'm never probing about how Charlie operates. But Mom's playing the little manipulation game to figure out what dad has up to. Oh, they're brushing their teeth last night, Charles's doing bedtime. 00:20:39 Speaker 1: Yeah, and. 00:20:42 Speaker 2: Charle comes down We're sitting on the couch, We're about to watch Young Sherlock or this, and. 00:20:51 Speaker 1: Charlie hits me. 00:20:52 Speaker 2: With like, so I learned a little bit about who Rue's favorite is when it comes to brushing her teeth. And what Ruth said was Charo asked her who do you like? Who do you like brushing your teeth with the most? And she's like, well, Dad Dad And She's like, why do you like brushing your teeth with Dadad the most? Well, Dadad does a way shorter. And right there, I'm like, I'm like looking at my wife thinking like, you know what you were doing, you know, you were trying to figure out how dad ad operates? Yeah, or what made dad add better? Yeah, you're a little three year old. Now you're turning into a rat. And Charles asking me like, how long do you brush Rue's teeth? And I'm like probably twenty to thirty seconds. She's like she's the way she explained, it seems like you go faster than that. You get. 00:21:45 Speaker 1: Who was like She's like because then she asked Rue like, well, how does Dadad do it? 00:21:49 Speaker 2: He goes he does like he does my bottoms like inside and outside on my bottoms and he goes to my top. He does the inside and outside, then we do cheese, then we do tongue roof and then I spit. That's twenty seconds at least that's what I'm thinking. But then as something in third in Charles starting to question me, I'm starting to sweat a little bit. Am I all right? Maybe it's like I'm like thinking in my head because I used to do this counting method with ru one, two, three, four, five. I get around her bottoms, then I go to the top one or six, seven all the way to ten, and then I do cheese and I do tongue in roofs. So I'm like, okay, maybe it's like fifteen to twenty seconds. She's like, why are you backtracking? I'm like, how long do you do She's like she's like, you know, when you brush your teeth, it's supposed to be like two minutes long each time, like as a grown adult. She's like, you know, on your little electric toothbrush, like it has a timer where once two minutes hits, the toothbrush stops. And I'm like, she's like, how often do you do that? I'm like, you know, me, you've done this in front of me. I've only done it the one time when you told me about the timer. Yeah. Like, other than that, I'm probably forty five seconds at most. And sometimes I'm just hanging in there because I know you're brushing your teeth, and I'm like, I know you're judging me on how long I brush my teeth. It's the old hand washing the restaurant. Yeah, it's like, oh, they're sitting there washing their hands, or hey, do I just want to walk out the door. Somebody's in here. Let me show them that I watched. No way, this guy's go longer than me. Man, no way, you gotta scro get the germs off. Yeah. 00:23:15 Speaker 1: I I go a little quick when I brush your teeth. 00:23:18 Speaker 2: Yeah, sue them, Yeah, sue me. Take him to court. Then Roo comes down the next morning. This this is at nighttime, and I'm sitting there. I'm thinking to myself, shall I make a video? I gotta talk about this on the dads because Charles's now like, hey, why do you like doing that? 00:23:34 Speaker 1: At best? 00:23:34 Speaker 2: She said, oh that it goes away faster the daughter of Will And soon this morning I'm making eggs rouse the lady and she's like yells, up from the stairs. Roo always loves the preface, like what you're gonna say and what you're gonna do, Like I'm gonna come down and surprise you. 00:23:51 Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, I'm making some eggs. 00:23:53 Speaker 2: I bet you off. 00:23:53 Speaker 1: And she's like, I'm gonna run up behind you, and you got to say who's there. 00:23:58 Speaker 2: I'm like all right. She comes up and gives me a hug, buying my legs. I was like, oh, who's behind me? Who's behind that? I'm like, nobody's talking. I can't figure out who it is. You got to say something. She's like, I don't know. And I was like, oh, is that rude? 00:24:12 Speaker 1: I go run the room. 00:24:13 Speaker 2: She goes over to you know. I'm like, oh, I got eggies for you. Got her little yogurt. Yogurt and strawberries is her breakfast of choice. 00:24:21 Speaker 1: Ruce sitting there eating. 00:24:22 Speaker 2: I'm finishing up the eggs and I'm like, uh, hey, Rue, we got a rat in the house. Charles starts chuckling and shake a rat. I'm like, yeah, we got a rat in the house. Somebody who's tattling, somebody who's telling secrets, somebody's telling on their old man. She's kind of like thinking. She's like looking up trying to put it all together, like what does that even mean? Like what's a rat? What is like telling a dog? And she's like wet in the house. 00:24:50 Speaker 1: And she's like U. 00:24:51 Speaker 2: She's kind of sitting there thinking and then she just goes, dad, look how big my bite is? 00:24:57 Speaker 1: Like, oh, your's so big. 00:24:58 Speaker 2: I'm like, so you're the rat spoken like a true rat. Honey, yeah, spoking, you're the rat. 00:25:02 Speaker 1: And she goes, look how big my bite is. 00:25:04 Speaker 2: You just don't get it. Wait a segue. Yeah, it's gonna it's gonna grow. It will grow. 00:25:12 Speaker 3: Because I saw a fantastic clip online of a dad and a daughter. Now I got I gotta send it to chef of the mom's yelling about the the hairdo the daughter and the dad and the daughter in a separate room and dad's filming the daughter and the mom's like, you gotta change that hairdo before. 00:25:30 Speaker 2: You go to school. You're not wearing your head like that. And the daughter's just like she's probably five six, and she's like oh. The dad's like, hey, you want you want me a teller that you don't need to change your your hair And she's like yeah, yeah, yeah, honey, I think her hair's fine. 00:25:47 Speaker 3: I think, you know, I think, And the daughter's sitting there going like you just hear this like silence for three seconds, and finally the mom's voice is like okay, but she's wearing it like that. The next day he's like, I bought you a day, I buy you We're good, oh bye you day. But I feel like that is going to develop more and more. 00:26:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, the dynamics real Charles able to infiltrate and keep tabs empty. Six is able to keep tabs on BT six And it's already happened to me. 00:26:16 Speaker 3: I do the bathtime, and I swear I do not do this consciously of like a timesaver. I enjoyed bathtime, but I will legitimately not do Scarlet's hair sometimes. 00:26:29 Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I've been in that edge hot water. 00:26:32 Speaker 2: I just won't do her hair sometimes. 00:26:35 Speaker 3: And Jill gets back from work right as final bottle is being done, and she's in her sleepsack going into the crib. That's right when Jill gets home, and so hair is usually a little bit dry slash wet. 00:26:49 Speaker 2: And she caught me one time and it turned into a police interrogation. I felt tourist that you. 00:26:56 Speaker 1: Didn't wash Scarlet's hair, like her hair wasn't that wet? 00:26:59 Speaker 2: Yeah? Are you just doing that every time? Do you just not wash your hair? 00:27:03 Speaker 7: Sherman? 00:27:04 Speaker 2: Do you know how many germs are gonna sit on her head? Do you know what that's gonna do with her scalp and her hair development? When was the last time that you forgot to do this? And dude, I if I just need to shut my mouth, if I ever get in a police interrogation room and just say I need a lawyer. I need a lawyer because I folded like a blanket. 00:27:26 Speaker 1: You know what, I'm not doing this, no comment, I plead the fit. 00:27:28 Speaker 3: No comment, I plead the fit, and then I forgot to do it, like three days later. I think you know I'm holding Scarlet. I've made the bottle. I know that Jill's about to be home, like three minutes. I put the bottle down. Honey, I'm sorry. I dip my head. 00:27:44 Speaker 2: With the hair to make it simmy dry, Simmy. 00:27:48 Speaker 1: What so Mama don't find out? 00:27:51 Speaker 2: Hey, don't tell your mother, don't I know you can't talk, But also don't tell her. I was so scared. My my heart is kind of pounding telling that story. Yeah, because you got to go home to the grim Reaper. Yeah now yeah, now she knows like Charles listeners right now. And all I'm thinking about is how have I butchered the story? Or have I said too much? Or maybe I didn't say enough. But Dad's Pete six got to be on their p's and q's man two. We have to, like I do have to have a conversation with Rue tonight when I do bedtime, go shooter. I know you love doing brushing your teeth with that that, but you've got to give me some more slack if you're gonna love Like the way we get to operate is that had my goal a little faster because we play a little chase game when I go chase you back in bed and we played good guys and bad guys or you want me to be You're You're the Grandma and little Red riding hood and I got to eat you because I'm the wolf. Yeah, like you, I want to continue doing that. But when Mama. 00:28:43 Speaker 1: Asks you, why is that that so great? 00:28:46 Speaker 6: Oh? 00:28:46 Speaker 2: He's just the best, Like he probably does it two minutes every time, makes it fun, makes it clean, fresh, breath. Yeah, if you can't tell her I do fifteen twenty seconds. You can't tell her the formula that I do. You can't tell her that. Sometimes I allow you to not brush your teeth because one day you're gonna be twelve and we're gonna be in an empty Walmart parking lot and I'm gonna look at you. I say, hey, you want to learn to drive a little bit today, And Mom's gonna hate that. Yeah. And we can't be telling Mama that. Oh he's letting me, you know, practice driving in the Walmart parking lot. 00:29:16 Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't. 00:29:17 Speaker 2: I talkt to Mama. Yeah. Yeah, And I need to do it better. I just know if you need to tell Mama, just let me know so I can get out in front of it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I gotta get it, get out in front of it before you take it to the papers. Yeah. She took it to the papers. Yeah, and she went down with you unknowingly. Yeah. Because sometimes I'll just share a pass her, like, oh, you're tired, you want to brush your teeth? Like, oh, can I do it in the morning? Oh you can do it them? Oh for sure, that's not all the time. Sweeter, I swear to God, that's not all the time, because I already know I'm gonna get questions about that. Like that is rare. That's some very rare occasion. She's like, when we're all tired, I see we had a day at the pool. Are you something where she's worn out? She looks like she's dozing off. Listen, we both know we don't want to do the brush teeth. We can brush it the morning, yeah, I'm saying. 00:30:05 Speaker 3: And Honey, I'm sitting there thinking, I do the soap three times, and I do the I do hands, and then I do rag like I am into bad time. 00:30:15 Speaker 2: I love bathist love bad time. I've never once said I don't want to do that because. 00:30:20 Speaker 3: I've already done the bad thing kind of along. I don't want to do the hair. I want to do the hair. I forget to do the hair. I'm talking to her, I'm singing, there's a lot of space. I'll dance for scarlet. She loves bad time. I just gotta lock in in those moments. 00:30:34 Speaker 2: Yeah, why don't you you take the cump and dump it on their head. It's easy. That's the easiest part. Like bathing rue doing her hair is like fuck for me as a dude, because she's got so much shit. It has hair, you know what I'm saying. 00:30:50 Speaker 1: Yeah, she's got a ton of hair. 00:30:52 Speaker 2: But I'm just thinking that Scarlet doesn't that like Scotty doesn't have a whole whole lot of hair. And Scotty's not like Rue to where Rue always hated when gotten right, you can just tell she's different when it gets water gets on her face than what Scotty is. Scotty go take it to the j bro. Oh like, I'll dump it up. Oh you like that, and dump it a couple extra times, just to test her. She'll go do it again. Yeah, yeah, again. 00:31:16 Speaker 3: Scarlett and Scarlet's the same way I'm operating with a baby that wants her hair washed. 00:31:22 Speaker 2: Yeah again, that's on Dad. Yeah, I'm sorry on us. Dad losses, Dad loss, Dad losses. 00:31:26 Speaker 1: Choking up. 00:31:27 Speaker 2: I had a huge dad loss this weekend that you already brought up. You left your family with the AC went out. Yeah, I saw the selfies on on X. Yeah, just hooting and hollering loud. I'm golfing loud and proud, loud and proud. What happened there? And when the AC was out? What what in your brain continued to say, like, I need to go golf. I need to go golf on Sunday. 00:31:54 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:31:56 Speaker 2: So, first off, I don't think I've ever had somebody advocate for me. My mother in law did this weekend. It was actually phenomenal, nice and win. 00:32:05 Speaker 3: It's a dad win and it's the plot twist of the century because there's always the uh you know, oh, the mother in law, the mother in law. 00:32:12 Speaker 2: With any. 00:32:14 Speaker 3: Pet sicko husband. Mother in law advocated for the golf round. She was one of the voices going, what does the ac going out have. 00:32:22 Speaker 2: To do with him going golfing? No shit, mom, mother in law Lisa, Lisa, Wow, Lisa's a dog. In general, She's a dog. She's saying this in front of both of you. Yeah, Jill, were you kind of like this and then you just like you just like looked at Jill like, oh, suck on that. 00:32:43 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:32:44 Speaker 3: No, it was out of body experience where I just it was like a Jesus take the wheel thing. But Lisa's taking the wheel and she's driving for me. I'm sitting there going. 00:32:54 Speaker 1: Oh my god, I don't have to say a word. 00:32:56 Speaker 2: Right. 00:32:57 Speaker 3: We haven't hit a single cone yet Yeah, this is incredible, and Jill was beyond pissed, as she should have been the entire situation. 00:33:07 Speaker 2: And there's more details, but to to keep this a very clean story of nobody's nobody's getting dragged. 00:33:17 Speaker 1: Don't want to do that. 00:33:18 Speaker 2: Don't want to do that. We're already in hot water. We're already in hot well. 00:33:23 Speaker 3: I'm talking about I'm talking about third party dragging because we got we got to pay for the hotel room with you. 00:33:29 Speaker 2: Yep, yep, listen. 00:33:31 Speaker 3: Yeah, so uh so, uh just a lot went on and it was basically my wife was like, you're defending our landlord more than you're defending me. I have to go stay in a hotel with my mom. She never comes in town, and when she does, this happens. 00:33:50 Speaker 2: This sucks. 00:33:53 Speaker 3: You're the man of the house. You should be on top of these things. I get that, but I am not the homeowner. 00:33:58 Speaker 2: I do not. That is not my see unit, but I did take it. It's you're a BT sixer. There's a wonder I'm a PT sixer. And to that point, when Michael came to he was the AC repair man. Shout out Michael. He was a sickoh father of three. I believe. 00:34:15 Speaker 3: And I said, Michael, I don't own this house, and I don't want to be breathing down your neck. I will, I will soon be a homeowner, and I really want to know what's going on here. 00:34:26 Speaker 2: Ka. I just sit out here with you, and you just kind of talked me through what you're doing. 00:34:29 Speaker 3: Best best forty five minutes I've ever spent, best forty five minutes I've ever spent. 00:34:35 Speaker 2: In what delivery by you? Thank you to get you walking kind of arm in arm with him. Yeah, I'm on your team. Like relentless curiosity. That's what that screams right there. 00:34:45 Speaker 1: And guess what. Guess what? 00:34:46 Speaker 2: I figure out. Michael's a salesman too. He sells AC units. He doesn't just fix them. Got his info. Let me know when you're buying a house. I got you. 00:34:56 Speaker 1: So he's got seven different kinds of smoking. 00:34:58 Speaker 2: Yeah he does. And he said, man, hey, hey, you don't use Linux, don't get Linux, don't go Pioneer either, you want to go this route? The blah blah blah. 00:35:06 Speaker 3: Now this guy unit right here, let's just say I want to have it for my grandma's house. You know what I'm saying, but he'll do the job. This is your compressor. Here's the motor. Now, this one is an old you know, there's an old trick of the trade. We'll get the screwdriver and maybe we can get that fan going. If the fan doesn't go, motor's blown. That means you're out of AC on Wednesday. Because I got to order that part on Monday. Motor was broken. Oh AC's not getting repaired till Wednesday. 00:35:35 Speaker 2: God good. So as people are listening, your AC gets repaired today. AC gets repaired today. 00:35:42 Speaker 3: What Jill did not realize in this moment, because I really got the full bright on Saturday from Wifey. Totally understandable. Jill was totally in the right. Look at the camera when you say that, Hey honey, you're always right, and you were very right on Saturday. Thank you Dan Gable, Thank you Dan Gable. But to that point, it does suck. It is a sticky situation. I have the tea time before the AC broke. Jill is telling me to get out of the house more. She's like, you need to go do. 00:36:20 Speaker 2: I want you to go do. When this happens, then it's like, oh, they're in the hotel. 00:36:25 Speaker 3: I'm staying with the dogs with a portable AC theme that bought at home depot to make sure they're good at the house. I'm sleeping on the couch and I'm freezing cold from the portable AC. But if my foot goes out of the freezing cold the air waves, all of a sudden, the couch is burning hot. It was like pockets of temperature that I had never experienced before. Thankfully we're not in Texas and it's not a hundred degree yeah, because that's what we're Jill and I have experienced that in Texas. Way better for your ac to go out in Tennessee, but to bring it back and put a bow on it. With Miss Lisa coming to my aid, we were coming up with a plan of Sat of Sunday in my golf round and we want to go look at this new house in spring Hill. We're kind of figuring out a plan and Jill goes, well, Scarlett, your dad's golfing tomorrow, so we can't do it in the morning. 00:37:16 Speaker 2: He'll be busy all day. And Lisa, well, golfing doesn't take all day. It'd probably be about four hours. Oh did you call you? 00:37:33 Speaker 3: She deserved one in that moment I did not. I went like, you want to see what I did when this was going on, And that's all I did. 00:37:45 Speaker 2: That's the I know my wife he's hearing this, but I'm so happy it's being said and it's not coming from my mouth. 00:37:50 Speaker 3: Don't do not smile, No, don't smile. Do not agreeeping together in law, Do not agree with mother in law. Maybe give her a little look when wife isn't looking and going, hey, this is always this is a fucking thing. This is a thing I keep doing that. I have the opposite of a rat. 00:38:09 Speaker 5: I have. 00:38:10 Speaker 2: I have my own little ally. 00:38:13 Speaker 3: It's phenomenal, dude, it was phenomenal. And uh, that's pretty much the story. It does segue into running into the pt cicico, which I can tell very quickly. 00:38:27 Speaker 2: To heos are out and about, PTOs are out and about, and I really don't run into a lot of pt cicos. 00:38:35 Speaker 3: I really don't. And when I do, it's usually with you or Taylor. And Tohee Golf Club in spring Hill, great spot. They have a restaurant at their golf course, said it's part of the golf course, but it's so good that people just go eat there. So I got to learn about that golf round wins so well, dude, and I'm calling up wife and mother in law. 00:38:59 Speaker 2: I said, this restaurant apparently so good, and it's right by the house. We want to go look at. How about y'all come down here and eat. We'll go look at the. 00:39:06 Speaker 3: House altogether as a happy family. Already woke up to a text from Jilly Bean. I'm so sorry for the way I spoke to you yesterday. You know, you're the most incredible father and husband, and I was just really frustrated the moment. I couldn't lose. You played a good round terrible because that's how the universe works. 00:39:26 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. 00:39:27 Speaker 3: If Jill was still mad at me, I would have played lights out. I would have played lights out. But fun round, very fun round. Got to golf with a retired cop from Long Island. His name was David. We can have a whole other episode about David. Dude, Okay, we could truly have an episode about David. Back to the restaurant. We're finishing up our meal and this family with this really cute baby is leaving the restaurant and Jill wants to say something to them about their baby. 00:40:01 Speaker 2: Because of how he was dressed. They're playing with it. It was so cute. 00:40:04 Speaker 3: And this family of like eight completely walks past us, and the mom and the baby are at the tail end of it. And as Jill is turning to say something to the mom, the mom is now kind of like coming towards us and looks like she wants to say something about our. 00:40:19 Speaker 2: Baby, but instead she just goes. My husband's a huge fan of the podcast. I don't know why he just walked by. 00:40:27 Speaker 3: I think he was a little too scared to say something. He'll come back over here, but I wanted to tell you that my husband is a huge fan of for the Dads and we love your show. And I'm like, oh my god, what a like this is incredible? And dad comes around, shout out Nate, shout out the pet sick o. Nate comes around, and he's like just gassing up the community. That's all he was gassing up. He loves the show. But he just kept on talking about the comments, the blah blah blah, the community. 00:40:57 Speaker 1: The comments are the best. 00:40:59 Speaker 2: It's the best, And it was really fantastic to me, Nate. 00:41:03 Speaker 3: It was very humbling, and it was like really really funny that Wifey came in there and was like, Okay, he's not going to do it. 00:41:10 Speaker 2: I'll go do it for him. 00:41:11 Speaker 3: He'll be pissed, but he's gonna be happy that I did it. It was funny, so funny, love that it never a bother Derek and I were like laughing about how they were like, we didn't want to bother you. Jill and I have never been bothered before at a meal. At a meal, you want to know how many people have come up to tell me that they enjoyed my podcast While I was eating one, Nate, you did not bother us. 00:41:39 Speaker 2: You're like getting the booze and you're kind of like looking at Jill. You got to see here, Lisa nued me. She said, that's my son in. 00:41:49 Speaker 1: Law said he just wanted a photo. 00:41:51 Speaker 2: She was like, oh man, you crushed it. You're the best. 00:41:55 Speaker 3: You're the best on along the entire world. I said, your kid, don't just say that. I'm not just saying that and noted me. God, I made up that last part. I lied about that. 00:42:04 Speaker 1: Okay. 00:42:05 Speaker 2: I was about to say, what an allyship you got going on with mother? She was Jill's and shambles listening no, she was excited. Though. 00:42:14 Speaker 3: Lisa is great. And this week really, this weekend has sucked. It's been hard, really hard weekend. There's some other stuff going on, just like logistics wise, with moving and all that stuff. It's very stressful. And Jill has been an absolute trooper. We've been working through just all the headaches of you know, becoming a homeowner, becoming. 00:42:37 Speaker 2: A homeowner, renting, ac going out. 00:42:40 Speaker 3: Yeah, and thank you to Lisa for like we kept on saying, we felt so bad that Lisa, this happened while Lisa is here. Thank god this happened while Lisa is here because she's watching Scarlet right now. Like, we don't have daycare on Tuesday Thursdays, so I. 00:42:59 Speaker 2: Would have to be I'm not to mention you would have been in the doghouse. Doghouse, dude, you'd have been off today. I mean you've been off your game. 00:43:08 Speaker 6: Oh. 00:43:08 Speaker 3: I would have been off my game for sure. We would have figured out a way to do this. Yeah yeah, yeah, but you see me, when I get stressed, I just I lock up. 00:43:17 Speaker 2: I would have been that. 00:43:20 Speaker 1: You want to hear a dad loss of mind? 00:43:21 Speaker 2: Yeah, Rue has cursed a couple times, and dude, before parenthood happens. There is I want to say Papa Team six is probably on board with this idea. Yeah, there's a part of thinking when they do start talking, when they drop their first curse word because Dad curses, I drop some I drop some bombs, sue me, I dropped some bombsh Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, there's a party like I wonder when they're going to say their first one, just because they're mimicking Dad. I'll throw a mom in there. 00:43:59 Speaker 6: Two. 00:44:00 Speaker 2: I'm sure there's moms out there that throw throw some trash talk around, and there's part of you that kind of fantasizes about when that's gonna happen, that it's gonna be funny, you know, all the things. Let's not be too serious about it because they have no clue what they're saying. But ru's dropped what the fuck and a gosh damn it, A gosh damn it, A gosh damn it. Her morals are there, her morals are there, reeled in something that part of me on the gosh part that came from dad, that came from that. Yeah, yeah, Charles dropping the bombs or did that come for dad? 00:44:42 Speaker 1: That's chorro. 00:44:47 Speaker 2: That's gotta be. 00:44:48 Speaker 1: But I'll operate like, yeah. 00:44:49 Speaker 2: I've dropped some F bombs, but I always like I'm almost I'm always like, what the I just say that the F part? Oh rus now dropped WTF twice forward all of it. First time it came in success, like WTF came first, and then gosh damn it eventually came like within ten minutes of the WTF where I'm obviously laughing, and you know, I'm not like laughing so much to to just enable rue that you need to keep saying it because this is hilarious because I'm hearing my wife too. Charles like, hey, we got it. You can't. 00:45:26 Speaker 1: I got you, I got you. But also it is kind of funny. 00:45:29 Speaker 2: Yeah, when they just drop a curse word, they have no clue, like they're obviously mimicking Dad. 00:45:33 Speaker 1: I'll reel it in. 00:45:34 Speaker 2: I'll do a much better job. Yeah, So we gotta have that to where I'm like, oh, I said, gosh damn it, and then Rude just members me gosh damn it, Like immediately immediately after on the WTFO, I'm like, what the she just goes what the fuck. 00:45:52 Speaker 1: Bit on the F so obviously she's heard it com out of my mouth before. 00:45:56 Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm like, what the what the going on? Shoe? What the fuck? I no, no, I'm like laughing, I no, no, no, sweetheart, you can't you can't say you can't see that. Joe and I kind of put the fire out. But fest Or go back to last Thursday or Friday. I'm getting Rue. It's just me and Rue. I'm taking her to school and we go outside. I'm like, come on, I'm like, you want me to pick you up? Are you gonna climb in? 00:46:21 Speaker 1: She's like, oh, pick me up. 00:46:22 Speaker 2: I'm like, what the you always climb in? And then she's as she's climbing in, she goes, what the fuck? And I'm biting my laughter, holding in my laughter behind her. Oh, sweetheart, because now I'm thinking it's just me and her. Oh, you have to operate a little bit different. We're not with everybody. I can't just get away with laughter and laugh it off and allow mom to be the gast or in the moments where no one's looking. We got in for it. So the moments where nobody's looking, but I'm thinking, okay, how do I maneuver her drop in the F word? I'm like, a sweetheart, you can't say that, and she's like, uh, I forget what she says. I'm like, do you do you know what that word means? She's like what word? I'm like, say what you said? She goes, what the fuck? And I go do you know what that means? She's like no. 00:47:14 Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, I say, I know you get that from Dad. 00:47:17 Speaker 2: Dad. I say it too, but honestly, I don't know what it means. And now that I'm thinking out loud and learning you, we don't need to be saying words. 00:47:26 Speaker 1: That we don't understand. 00:47:27 Speaker 2: Well, so, Rue, I know you saw dadad laughing, but you should not say that word because you don't know what that word means. 00:47:34 Speaker 1: I don't know what it means. I need to stop saying that word. We'll do it together. 00:47:37 Speaker 6: Yeah. 00:47:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's kind of how I put that out. And then I'm thinking now that this whole rat things came back around to where I know where's rat. There was a part of me that I go to Charro. I waited a while. I kind of waited a couple of days to tell charl But part of me is like, I can't let this leakage happen or rue, like tell Mama that dadad corrected her saying I couldn't. I couldn't allow rude to control the narrative. So I needed to. There was almost a part of me that almost understood subconsciously that we're just gonna tell on me. Eventually. I need to come clean. Yeah, so I came clean. Charo told her to the situation. She's like laughing at me, and she's like, well, what'd you saying. I'm like, well, this is what I did. And I was like, I do. 00:48:18 Speaker 1: I got to reel it in. I got to reel it in. 00:48:20 Speaker 2: But it's funny when route curses, when you're a three year old drops curse words. I can't help it, Sudie, it's funny to me. I'm going to give you a little heads up. In fourth grade, I got cut. 00:48:33 Speaker 5: I had a very bad mouth growing up, and I might have got it from an older gentleman that. 00:48:40 Speaker 1: I lived with dead. 00:48:42 Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe Mary got him. You know. 00:48:44 Speaker 5: John Hanning is known to say a few words from time to time. But I got him in hot water, Like in fourth grade. I forgot how I got caught swearing like on the bus right home and uh, I remember feeling like I was in a lot of trouble and my parents actually let me go, like both my go across the street neighbors and play football and stuff, which really caught me off guard. And I realized looking back at it when I came back home, like the old man was just in the fucking doghouse. 00:49:08 Speaker 2: Yeah, Mom has. 00:49:10 Speaker 5: A slip up here in time, but she was, you know, very adamant on like, no swearing. The old man he gets hot. Who knows he's like a Joe Peschi And imagine Joe Peschi and home alone, just not with the so yeah, hey, just down the road giving your heads up. 00:49:29 Speaker 2: Yeah, beat the six. We gotta stay tight on, got to stay t My old man was the same way. You kind of just knew, Okay, I'm not allowed to curse because momal mom will drop the hammer on you. There's just no you know, you're not having a bad Oh, you kind of get away with the bad mouth at school or with your boys or anything else. But once mom gets wind of it. 00:49:45 Speaker 3: It's my dad had the ultimate cheek cote in the world because my mom's go to and dude, I'm talking about my mom. 00:49:54 Speaker 2: She was not hard on me or strict, but my mom was the time of mone was like a good morning, Sherman, and I'm really tired. I'm like, good morning. 00:50:02 Speaker 3: She's like, what's that tone? Who have you been hanging out with that's talking to their mom like that? Which one of your friends is talking to their mom like that? And I'm like why, where where did this come from? It was always who have you been hanging out with? And so the one time that I dropped an F bomb, I dropped a plate on my foot. I was maybe fifth grade. I dropped a F bomb out of reaction too, tried to muffle it as I said it, and it was instantly, we need to we need to talk about who you're hanging out with at school because I shout out Dylan Law, shout out Taylor, shout out Taylor Locke because those are like my friends that My mom was like, I know Taylor Locke doesn't talk like that. 00:50:47 Speaker 2: I know Dylan Mauv's not talking like that. So who's talking like that? Would you learn that word? Yeah? 00:50:53 Speaker 1: Empty six days on it. They're they're they're the standard. They got to keep dads in check. 00:50:56 Speaker 2: Yeah, they got to keep PT six in check because they're right, Charlotte, it's not about just the dynamic of us. Like she's gonna go to school, she could say these words at school. She can her other kids say and if she hears another kid say it, she's thayking, Oh, I've heard that word too, Like Dada says that I've never been like corrected the uh. 00:51:13 Speaker 3: The one thing that did come to mind with your correction if we don't need to be saying words that we don't know the meaning of. Is I laughed at myself of her playing like wizards or something at recess and. 00:51:24 Speaker 2: Some girls like Aleck exam and Rie's like, what's that word mean? 00:51:30 Speaker 1: Do you know what that word? 00:51:30 Speaker 2: Do you know what that word means? Don't Probably shouldn't be saying, Probably shouldn't say Amrica dabra if you don't know what that means. God, it's constant learning. Oh yeah, you means, well, it's okay if you don't. Not really, I mean I don't either at the end of the day. 00:51:56 Speaker 1: I mean, we know what it means when it comes to shock, but just saying like. 00:51:59 Speaker 2: What the fuck I've heard that comes from it? And bleep that out, Just bleep that one out, please, bleep that one out, just bleep the one out in case, Yeah, that one out. But I guess I don't know what that phrase means. So that you have been pulled up. No, it's a work computer, yeah, computer bro, But no, but it is. It can be everything. It can be now. 00:52:23 Speaker 4: It can be an adjective, it can be an adverb, it can be a verb. It's the one word that really just it's a catch off. 00:52:30 Speaker 2: Series on this. 00:52:31 Speaker 5: They did in a Netflix series on the word that's like medieval origins right. 00:52:35 Speaker 2: Abbreviated as w t F, is an intensive vulgar slang phrase expressing extreme surprise, confusion, anger, or annoyance. It acts as an emphatic form of what often signaling disbelief or frustration in a situation. If I had that in multiple choice, I would have got you would have got it right. It's just the explaining part. Yeah, I guess I don't fully know what a means. So dada, don't be saying it. Yeah, god forbid. But funny moment, dad lost, funny moment, love it all. Yes, we're gonna learn, We're gonna get better. Yes, man, she says it again, though that's on her, that's on her, I am gonna laugh. 00:53:16 Speaker 3: And the old George Bush fooled me once and then he does a very eloquent job. Yeah he can finish that. 00:53:25 Speaker 2: Yeah, he does a great job with me once. Shame on you for me twice shame on me on me or wait, it's gotta be your bull. 00:53:33 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:53:35 Speaker 2: But yes, that that was everything. 00:53:37 Speaker 3: As far as uh my notes from the weekend of like the ac being broken, I have some dad wins that we can go through. 00:53:47 Speaker 2: We see her, We have a rat in the house, rue cursing, Scottie dropping massive dumps. She must eat something. I think it's like dairy related. Oh yeah, what's going on with that? He's dairy related? She had a cheese stick last week and throughout the entire weekend. I'm talking massive, massive bombs, stinky ones too. Right when it happens, you can smell it immediately. There was one where I'll change your diaper. It's the first time it's ever happened. Where you know, you lift the little eggs up, you're wiping their little butt. You throw the you throw the wipe on top of the poo. Yeah, on top of the poo, just in case you get a little get a little ants and the heeled cake. But when I went to roll it up, as I had the new one underneath. As I went to roll it up, it was so heavy. Half of it falls out of the first diaper and onto the second diaper. Oh, and I'm upstairs. I'm like, oh shit, this is day my sixteen month. It's Scott's zilla drop a curseword right now, that would be so funny. But half of it falls onto the other diaper. I'm scrambling Jesus, But it was. I come downstairshars like what happened up there. I'm like, just be glad you weren't the one on this one. But Joe heavy, big dumps, Bro, big dump, even like you know how they'll sleep through the night and really it's just a heavy diaper from them. People, Dude, Yes, dump comes usually after but like in the morning, they're thinking her, she's waking up with dumps. She woke up Bro Sunday morning with a massive dump in her diaper and it was with all of the pea from the night. Heavy diaper. I'm talking, hey, I'm talking this big heavy, like you could work out with it, yes, putting it in the. 00:55:28 Speaker 3: Pane and it's got this is some lord for pts empty sid because these logs, because Scarlett just had one of these, not huge, not big, like an eight month old, big eight month old, big eight month old, and uh it was from her waking up because she's a big pooper with that morning bottle, dude, and she'll stop halfway through the morning bottle and kind of give you one of these, and I'll take the bottle out and she'll sit there and. 00:55:54 Speaker 2: Just they're getting their morning too in get in the morning too. 00:55:58 Speaker 3: But I changed it and it's it's a log, but it's got like a little it's got the butt cheeks on it didn't have the mud cheeks on it, like the imprint or oh yeah yeah from it being on her but yeah, yeah, yeah, because I'm thinking that this is just a massive polo shit shadow of Jurassic Park, like the dump of the Triceratops. 00:56:16 Speaker 2: Like that's a load that's like getting in Scotty's diaper. That is a man from we believe the cheese. 00:56:23 Speaker 1: Because she just have this. 00:56:24 Speaker 2: She has like some eggs on her skin and we're trying to eliminate some stuff from her diet. There you got one of them, like we're doing like almond milk instead of whole milk to see if it like help, to see if it's been helpful. 00:56:34 Speaker 1: Yeah, so we think that's what it was. Oh, really getting into a cheese stick. 00:56:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, dang, dude, well done, Scotty. And it sounds like rude. Never have that because you know this. 00:56:46 Speaker 1: Yeah, more like impressed. 00:56:48 Speaker 2: Let's surprise disbelief, like just again, I and I just have it on my list, scott Zilla dropping massive dumps. Yeah she really is her daddy's girl. But yeah, yeah, she's a daddy's girl. Rufe farts now like farts and ones? What's that like? Is she giggling like her dad? 00:57:07 Speaker 5: Like? 00:57:07 Speaker 2: Is she? Are you teaching on how to use it as a tool for comedy? Awesome? Yeah? Really it's going well. Her training's going well. Really Yeah. 00:57:14 Speaker 1: Yeah, she'll rip a big one and kind of look at me and giggle. 00:57:20 Speaker 2: You heard that? Come on, now, come on now, reach out, give her a little debt, Dad, I hear that. You hear this? Are y'all are going to be dueling banjos? We will? Yeah, that's the dream, just living the dream man girl, dad. Yeah, you know, as a young man growing up women don't poop, women don't fart. Yeah, just not wanting to believe it, you know what I mean. Then you get married, then you got a daughter. 00:57:47 Speaker 1: You're trying to train her to be as great as you. 00:57:50 Speaker 2: But I you just reminded me of something. I know. We're segueing a lot, dude. 00:57:55 Speaker 1: We're just we're potting. 00:57:57 Speaker 2: We're potting. 00:57:57 Speaker 1: We're potting about fatherhood. 00:58:00 Speaker 2: We had a we had a nice little hater joined the crew on my golf tweet. Uh. 00:58:37 Speaker 3: He said, if someone in my tea time showed up wearing a girl dad hat to play to play golf, they would be getting clowned on every tea box. 00:58:47 Speaker 2: Because God forbid you love your kid, God forbid, I would ask God to control some What if somebody showed up at your tea time with a girl that had on and he just happened to whoop your candy ass? Yeah, then he wo'd be getting clowned on. 00:59:04 Speaker 3: Yeah, And sadly, you know, I'm thinking to myself, what is the ideal girl dad hat for out of control? 00:59:12 Speaker 2: How can I make out of control happy? 00:59:14 Speaker 3: Instead of just being like, hey, maybe out of controls wrong and we're okay, it's like, do you want girl dad on top and then like football red meat power tools underneath it? 00:59:24 Speaker 2: Maybe it's just badass football red meat power tools. And then then he might feel like, uh and then girl dad on for real? 00:59:34 Speaker 1: Oh, he must not be a buss. He's wearing badass red meat football power tools. 00:59:38 Speaker 3: But you like, whoa hold on here? Man, I saw that your hat says football red meat power tools. Oh yeah, you are a show. You have a match play chef versus PT six hater might be electric. Nothing would make me Jeff, we're a girl dad hat. 01:01:25 Speaker 3: I would be proud, proud of chef in that moment. Nothing would make me happier. I didn't hear what you said, so it's okay. 01:01:53 Speaker 3: He said you entered Bud's training, which wasn't too far show. Yeah, that's part of the chef call back to a call back chef moment. You want to let no, chef, is. 01:02:02 Speaker 1: He cooking a turkey in the ground? 01:02:05 Speaker 2: That's a good callback. 01:02:08 Speaker 1: Is is he uh graduating from a uh from a level? 01:02:13 Speaker 5: No? 01:02:14 Speaker 2: No, go back to Turkey hopefully to be out. 01:02:22 Speaker 5: Chef is taken on the show. Turkey's won the other one, this one, but to be fair. This is something that we never talked about on camera. Has been a behind the scenes thing that has been an inside joke. Think of thrown ship at the wall during a brainstorm. This content idea kid maybe the maybe the dumbest. 01:02:39 Speaker 2: Thing I've pitched. 01:02:42 Speaker 1: Brain card. 01:02:43 Speaker 2: What has four wheels and is awesome truck? And who got a new one recently? 01:02:49 Speaker 6: Dad? 01:02:50 Speaker 1: He brought Chef is now getting a new truck. 01:02:52 Speaker 2: Nope, even better, he's driving his dad's new truck. Trucks outside to show you. By the way, it's drunk and he drove it today. I know that, I know the one manswer listening context. Parents are out of town. I hope, I hope the keys are great. 01:03:15 Speaker 5: I told my dad I was driving, and he goes, can he please wait until like Thursday or Friday? So that way, if something happens, we'll be back soon. I figured today would be the best day. It's a dream to drive. It's been fine, so nice. 01:03:29 Speaker 2: So we'll have some bonus content. Yeah, bonus content. 01:03:32 Speaker 3: We'll get to have Chef showing uh his dad's tructor will, which I'm very excited for. 01:03:36 Speaker 2: Okay, Chef shows off his dad's new truck. 01:03:39 Speaker 1: Yeah, probably. 01:03:40 Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's probabe and joy, it's a beast to drive too. 01:03:44 Speaker 1: Yeah, hell yeah, it is. 01:03:47 Speaker 2: So excited for the cliff that's gonna come from this dude. Oh my god. Okay, so we want to do some dad wins, some some right ends from our lovely new Let's get to the community. Hang on, let me organize, let me organize, dead Dad hack of the week, Empty six shoutouts, New Dad. Oh, I forgot to do. I forgot to talk about pet fit. The support from the bar community that is nothing but comments everywhere. It's always even tell me, uh, the ladies have been hitting her up, sending her the clip the comment, and I told Charles, I'm like, uh, every Bar three profile and brand needs to be sharing that because what's gonna happen is the women who just love Bar three, They're gonna be showing their ubbi. 01:04:33 Speaker 3: Yeah, they're gonna be showing their man. And that was happening in the clip. Did you see all the other Bar three Derek was showing me. 01:04:40 Speaker 4: You have the comment in front of you, But there are people tagging their local Bar three location and they've been commenting back a lot of comments about the vibes of Bar three, So I think you you kind of got that nailed down will as the vibes seemed to be what everyone's right. 01:04:53 Speaker 1: It's a good vibe. It's a fun vibe. Especially for dudes. 01:04:56 Speaker 2: You're used to just getting shit on and talking about being a pus and you're not strong enough. 01:04:59 Speaker 1: They don't do that. 01:05:00 Speaker 2: It's it's very encouraging. 01:05:02 Speaker 1: It's a very encouraging atmosphere. Good vibes. 01:05:05 Speaker 2: You're moving and grooving as long as you can accept yourself that you don't feel awkward, kind of hitting some of the moves and you just rip it next to the women like you're gonna do great, You're gonna flourish. 01:05:15 Speaker 1: And I was telling Charlie because. 01:05:16 Speaker 2: Charles only about it. 01:05:16 Speaker 1: We do need to do a collab, whether. 01:05:18 Speaker 2: It's an outdoor class where you get BT six emptyms no way like women in their significant other, all the dudes come, all the boys. We just embrace. We just embrace a pt FI got a park or like Yeah, there's also the thought of doing one in studio, like the ten am one that I took. I took on Friday on which is one of the ones Charlie teaches just having it to where it's just for the dads. It's like us and our significant others getting the ladies in getting jilly beans. Yat, could we do it? 01:05:50 Speaker 1: I'm a miss chef. 01:05:51 Speaker 3: Can we do it at Centennial? I've seen some like big classes at Centennial before and it looks so fun. 01:05:57 Speaker 2: Charlie's ripped a couple out of people. Well, Charle's done on that Centennial. I believe I'm probably gonna get an APR report. 01:06:04 Speaker 1: But she's done some outdoor. 01:06:05 Speaker 2: They do outdoor classes each year like a couple throughout the year and they I mean, there are hundreds of women. 01:06:10 Speaker 1: I'm so in, go to it, so in. 01:06:13 Speaker 2: But yeah, a lot of support from the bar community. I see one here from Petit Petite FLA seventy seven is such a great class. One of my absolute faves of the week. Yes, Blue Hearts, Little Heart Taylor Swift Hearts at a Boy Vibes on Point from Bar three, Huntsville. 01:06:32 Speaker 4: Bottom book corner has a char of shout out which one bottom right corner from Jamie vank Jamie. 01:06:37 Speaker 2: Vank Iss seven am Cardio class was at Cheetoh Underscore. Charlie's the best, most challenging thing I've ever done. Shut ah, shot at. I come for the vibes. Let's get a dad class one hundred percent in make it happen. Yeah, bro, here's a good here's a good vibe. I used to use bars my second leg day during the week. This must be a gentleman chiming in yeah yeah, yeah, don't sleep on. Boro will have you quivering in the corner while sixty eight year old Barbara hasn't even broken a. 01:07:07 Speaker 1: Sweat yet, while she smiles at you and gives you the thumbs up. Tell you it's a different beast in there. 01:07:14 Speaker 3: And I would love to have a good leg day regiment, like I like something that you know, you could go to this class and learn from take part in and core and lower back to oh buddy, which I'm. 01:07:29 Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, And you know, all my problems stem from just having an out of whack like hips elvis, low back, yeah, knee and it is like a very My explanation is just it's a very like intense rehab class that you don't you feel like you fail at, but ultimately they say you do a great job. Well the fact that you're doing it, and I'm not saying that when I believe I feel great the rest of the day, like when I'm bending over, like putting scott in the crib. The little things for me is like a low back dad survivor. Yeah, is like when I've been too to put Scotty in the crib, when I lean down to pick her up, when I'm getting in the bottom drawer and I'm like, can we get this in a higher drawer? I just hate, like been getting down to do bathtime, like my l five and SI, Like I have issues, they're not like they're not to the point where I need surgery. People would probably offer up surgery. You don't want to do back surgery, No, you don't, and if you do, you want to do it way down the road when you have to do it. Yes, yes, But a lot of those little things where my back is like a very annoying every day when I hit the class, like dude, I'm feeling great, it gives me probably a thirty six of the next thirty six forty eight hours. Like my back feels like everything feels intact. It's hard to explain, but to where I'm like, I do like Charles always wanting me to come to a class but I'm always like I'm just the masculine vibe of it. Doesn't it feels uncomfortable like I feel, I feel awkward. 01:08:56 Speaker 1: I just don't. 01:08:57 Speaker 2: I don't put myself out there. Dude. Hey, that's okay, because guess what. These women dominate me. You know what I mean. It's just you just feel. 01:09:04 Speaker 3: But now that a flipped switch, and hey, you got a brother in arms right here. I know these two guys have said that they're down too, and let's go. Let's all go fuck it up together. 01:09:14 Speaker 1: Let's all go fuck it. That's what we do on the show. 01:09:16 Speaker 3: I want to walk in there. I want to have my little water bottle and my little bag whatever I need to bring. I want to sit down. I want to say, fuck me up. Sam, Yeah, with your toes out. What I mean, there's no socks. That's a new thing for your boy. Ruin me, destroy me. I want to see Barber in the corner giving me a winking film. 01:09:37 Speaker 2: You're doing great. 01:09:38 Speaker 3: I wanted to see Jill had eight eight months postpartum, just destroying it. Yeah, running circles around me. 01:09:48 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm fine. 01:09:49 Speaker 2: Well, we are getting it in the work, so something will come. Just gotta figure out the timing. I do have one last update before we get into the shutouts. Donut update. Father in law he brought a box of donuts. This has been this is big, This is big. I'm sure he saw the clip. There's a lot of back and forth in between us. Nothing said between us, but he brought donuts over. I sent him that text last week while we were on the show. Yeah, I still can't believe you took my chocolate donut. Father in law brought a donut box over on Sunday when they came over and enjoyed the pool a little bit so clear that up, dude, Well done, Opah. Yeah, thank you, Ope, shout out Opah. Oh good Man, good Man. 01:10:24 Speaker 3: And a lot of people kind of coming in support of Opah in the comments, a lot of people calling out Opah as well. 01:10:31 Speaker 2: But it sounds like a fine line that you guys were able to navigate. Yeah. 01:10:35 Speaker 1: Yeah, And people did have a good point. 01:10:38 Speaker 2: I commented somebody yesterday on my own Instagram and I just replied to him, not in my house, because he's saying this is essentially payback for the generation before us, the ones who raised us. We is it ramsacked or ransacked? Or in Nancy. I believe the kids their friends with ransack the pantry in the kitchen all the time. This is now payback because they get to come over your ust I get yeah, yeah, but not in my house. 01:11:07 Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, And like Opah isn't quite there once Opah's in the recliner and like it's kind of a it's a whole thing to like get Opah on his feet and oh, aren't you glad Opah's here. 01:11:20 Speaker 2: And moving around like that? Age, Yeah, did Opah take the doughnut? Then I'm okay vibeing with that, vibe with that vibe with. 01:11:29 Speaker 1: That, especially if he takes the kids stuff. Yeah yeah yeah. 01:11:32 Speaker 3: And you look over at Opah and he's he's asleep at you know, yeah, it's eleven thirty. He's already taking a nap. 01:11:38 Speaker 6: Yeah. 01:11:38 Speaker 2: But fun update there, fun update, dude. Let's dive into some comments. I like a cold one. 01:11:44 Speaker 3: I'm just gonna break the ice because this is my first actual satellert after the prank of the joke satellert that we did. 01:11:52 Speaker 2: So I'm just gonna break the ice. I'm gonna say this is an actual satellert. 01:11:56 Speaker 1: Are you being for real. 01:11:57 Speaker 2: I'm because now you see what happens. That's why I'm draw the guards up. That's why I'm addressing it. I'm saying that joke will never be played again. And apologies because of this awkward moment right here where I have a legit sadd alert. We're gonna read it and we are very happy that people do send in emotional stories. Yeah, so that's just my breaking of the ice. 01:12:20 Speaker 3: Gosh, she's got a great last name, and I will butcher it in apologies, Daniel bowdese Bach. Daniel says, fellas, I've never done anything like this, but got to share with you. I'm a new father of one precious little girl. She is now just four days old and we are fust show in the trenches. Her name is Hallie and bodese Ba. I just wanted to write to you guys and say that I appreciate you. It's got to be pretty cool that what you love to do helps many people. 01:12:54 Speaker 2: I guess. 01:12:55 Speaker 3: I'm also asking for a little shout out to my wife, Gabriella. We have been together there for fourteen years now. Congratulations to them. Shout out, and she and I just lost her younger brother, Christian Showfield Christian Showfield just a day before we were going to tell him the good news that Gabriella was pregnant with Hallie Anne. She has been incredibly strong through the process and just walk through childbirth like it was something to do. I was very impressed with her poison focus through it all. 01:13:30 Speaker 2: Anyway. 01:13:31 Speaker 3: Christian was also a firefighter with Cali, fire like me, and he was the only true brother I ever had myself. And I'm sure many other viewers feel connected to you guys because of your approach to the podcast and in general, Thank you guys for what you do. 01:13:49 Speaker 2: Big fan. Hope all is well and stay up boys. 01:13:54 Speaker 1: What's his first name? 01:13:55 Speaker 2: Daniel? Daniel? Yes, yeah, Daniel. I'm sorry, brother, so sorry, and also like so much to celebrate there too, Like it's cool that Daniel's able to sit there and reflect with the family that he's built and they're able to like process and feel what they're going through. 01:14:16 Speaker 1: Yeah, it's there. 01:14:18 Speaker 2: You really are like no words that you can tell people when you lose a loved one that close and you have such a story where it's a brother that you've never had, that you've operated with, that your wife is close to as well that you were about to deliver news the next day. Like those are moments that obviously are going to be permanent in your head. But when you do get out on the other side, or the moment you do get out on the other side, you reflect in such a way to where again pulling experience from that happening with my mom. It's like you pull from those things to help kind of cultivate your family, like they live through you and they trickle down into your little ones, even though it sucks that your little ones will never meet them and they'll never truly grasp and know how much that person meant to you. And you know what I mean, and like that real in such a real way to where I'm just so conscious that they'll never know. However, it is through myself, it's through Chorrow, it's through everybody that's in the family that do my mother yea, and or the new year loved one that pours into them to where they will have that perspective way down the road, maybe after you're gone, you know. 01:15:24 Speaker 7: What I mean. 01:15:26 Speaker 2: Absolutely, So it's tough, dude, Condolen says, man, I know, words don't make it at all better, because you're you're kind of in your own you're kind of in your own fights, and you and your wife lean on each other and don't. My advice would be everybody wants to always jump into help solve problems or solve thinking when man, a lot of the time it's just do I want to say this out loud and just know that you're next to me. Yes. 01:15:52 Speaker 3: Only thing that I could even remotely say to that ride in is a fun anecdote of my mother had a little song that she would sing to my mom when my mom would put her arms around her in the pool and my grandma would walk like in the shallow end and drag her and she would sing, come on, let me take you on a sea cruise. And she would sing that to her mom, saying that to me, juju, my grandmother. It's not long pass but just in a what's that called? Uh, not innate, but it's just like in my subconscious. I put Scarlet up on my shoulder one night and was like bopping her around, and I started singing, come and let me take you on a sea cruise. And it's just like those little there's gonna be those little things, yeah, I said. 01:16:42 Speaker 2: And then when they Scarlet's probably going to do that. Yeah, yeah, And you're right, man, I do as many things as I can remember. My mom told me that she did when I was a baby. Where it's like my mom would always tell me she loved like rubbing on my palm at night. Scottie doesn't like her hands being touched as much. Times they get in there where she's like having the bottle or I'm rocking her and she just like hold her hold her hands up like while I just rub the inside of her palm. 01:17:06 Speaker 1: You know what I mean. 01:17:07 Speaker 2: It's like the connecting, connective vibe just like, oh my, I know my mom said she used to do this. I mean now I'm doing it to my little ones. 01:17:15 Speaker 1: Rue always loved it. 01:17:17 Speaker 2: Now now I'm the backscratcher, snuggle, backscratch, arm rub God dude. 01:17:23 Speaker 1: But like little things like that, that, yeah yeah. 01:17:26 Speaker 3: That will that will come out, like little little parts of Christian will be there and come out over time and it'll be a really beautiful moment and you aren't even playing for it. 01:17:36 Speaker 2: It's just gonna happen and it's gonna be great. Yeah yeah, man, what was the segue with that? I have another dad win Dad wins Okay, yeah, I think these were dad wins. That was a new dad. Oh that was new dad. But you do have dad wins, but you each have some new dads. I have a new dad. 01:17:54 Speaker 1: Would you like me to read a new dad? 01:17:55 Speaker 2: Please? Please? Please please? Here we go. We got a photo here Alyssa Harris on Instagram. My husband is your biggest fan up in Gulf Canada. He talks about your pod all the time and relays everything you guys talk about to me as he works hard being the best dad he can for his little girl. Everly, I made sure to get him some of the four the Dad's Merch for Christmas and he reps it wherever he goes. Thanks for giving him the confidence to be an absolutely amazing partner and daddy to our little family of three. We have a phenomenal photo right here. Oh and that's from Alyssa. Yeah, that's from Alyssa Harris on Instagram. And what's her husband's name? Does she even listen? You're a sick Oh. 01:18:43 Speaker 1: Yeah, empty sick. 01:18:44 Speaker 2: She's like, oh, I forgot that gives your name. Let's give him a name just for the segment so we can say, shout out his name. What's your gut tell you, oh, brat. He seems like a kind gentle brat. Yeah, just a nice breath. He's just brat. Brett Harris. 01:19:00 Speaker 1: Yeah, Brett Harris, Brett Harris. 01:19:02 Speaker 2: CONGRATU. Shout out Bratt, you and Alyssa and your little girl. Everly, she looks like a stud. I love the high single pony. And look at Brett's hat. But is he wearing a PT six hat and that got on backwards? Yeah? Yeah, yeah he's wearing he's wearing the PT six shirt. Oh you got a logo right there? BT six shirt. Come on, But just a little pony up top. The first time you're able to make that happen, you're like, oh, look how adorable she looks like. 01:19:27 Speaker 3: Scarlet's like, I have another new dad, new dad alert, new dad alert. This comes from Mattie Lynn on Instagram. Mattie says, hey, proud member of Empty six here. My husband Ryan is an absolute pet sico. He loves listening to the pod every week on his way to where he is finishing his residency, training and starting interview season while killing it as a new dad too, are two month old Jordie. He is the best and hardest word and it would make his day to get some love from the dads. 01:20:04 Speaker 2: He's wearing our dad's shirts right there. 01:20:07 Speaker 3: Let's go, Maddie. Thank you for writing in, and Ryan, best of luck to you in the job search. Only advice i'd give before a job interview. I'm a big believer in the body language pregaming. When you're going into a stressful environment, get big the was it called. 01:20:27 Speaker 2: The capillary whatever? 01:20:29 Speaker 3: Open up, hell, get the blood flow going, and just get real big dude. To do some stretches before you go into that room. Go sneak into the bathroom, get in the stall and just move around. You get big, because when we get nervous, we shrink a couple of. 01:20:42 Speaker 2: Nasal breathing, some good damn nazel breathing. Look in the mirror and say, you're the fucking man. Wait, who is that in the mirror? 01:20:52 Speaker 6: Who is that? 01:20:53 Speaker 2: Is that a motherfucking pt siico? I see that's gonna land this job. It's got a bethroomdoor opens up and I put it and I put soap on it. By the way, I did put soap on it because he's probably a doctor. Alex Marquette Boys Official PT sixer here love the pod, Keep up the good work. It is currently four eighteen twenty six. Ooh, it's not April. Oh, March eighteen twenty six. My son arrived yesterday at eleven fifty am after having an emergency C section. We are the prod parents of a Saint Patrick's date baby. However, we aren't out of the woods yet. Little Bam Bam was taken into the nick you last night due to low blood sugar and body tempt. They also found a little heart murmur, so we were hoping for the best. They did say he's shown improvement, so we should be good again. Love the pod, keep it up. PT six out. PT six out. 01:21:47 Speaker 3: Not to make light of that thought, we had a time traveler there for a second thought we did. 01:21:51 Speaker 2: I got excited Willie read it this is future. Well, hello, will it's April eighteen, twenty twenty six. Hang on, no, how did I figure that out? A month's big shout outs to them? We also going to what'd you grab? Dad? Wins? No, dude, MT six You can't shout out the dads and not shout out the moms. 01:22:17 Speaker 1: Come on officially a PT. Six. 01:22:20 Speaker 2: Her wife gave birth today March nineteenth to a baby boy eight pounds seven pounds or eight pounds seven ounces. Let's go. 01:22:29 Speaker 1: In my hospital chair bed. 01:22:30 Speaker 2: As I type this, just want to give a shout out, no free shoutouts to my wife Brie, who was amazing and pushed them out in forty minutes. She kept it under an hour. What Bree after being in labor for fourteen hours? Good as she's pushing. I told her to embrace the suck man. She was determined. Thanks for the pod. You guys make my wednesdays and help me stay calm and cool throughout the pregnancy. Thank you, Jordan, Thank you Jordan. Shout out Jordan M burnout, bigger shout out to Bree, bigger. 01:22:58 Speaker 3: Yes, and I want to do a quick segment, probably everybody's favorite segment where we pitch a new merch idea live on air. 01:23:06 Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody's superite segment. 01:23:08 Speaker 2: Everyone's favorite for that. The one time you said, well I know, I know, but we're gonna make We're gonna normalize it. We're gonna normalize it. 01:23:18 Speaker 1: Normal lives. 01:23:18 Speaker 2: Everybody's favorite segment, everyone's favorite segment. So this is our show where we pitch a merch idea live on air. My idea is a newborn. 01:23:31 Speaker 3: Beanie, because I know all these dads are wearing the stuff when they're coming out, but I'm seeing all these little beanie pictures on the newborn babies and their little mittens. You know what I'm saying, Well, if we had a newborn beanie for them, That's all I'm saying. And that commences everybody's favorite segment of the show. 01:23:50 Speaker 2: Hang on, that's fucking brilliant. 01:23:55 Speaker 3: Wait, reopen segment, Hold on, Hold on, reopen segment. Guys, welcome back to Pitch Live on air. I just pitched a genius idea to my boss, Will Compton. 01:24:08 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I like it. What do we call them? 01:24:14 Speaker 1: Baby Team six? 01:24:16 Speaker 2: I mean some of the stuff just makes itself. BT six rhymes with PT six. Derek are kind of I mean, you kind of head up the marketing arm of the merchandise. He's kind of like the merch guy. He's really just our marketing team at this point. Yeah, I pitched. I think I pitched something, not not that that is genius. I love that. 01:24:39 Speaker 4: Oh I'm not okay with the fact that Will's okay with the segment because I've pitched ideas and I've been told that my horses are too high or fast or some ship, and you've yelled and yeah, you've been mad at me for like pitching like things on air. I can't follow through it. I can't make a baby beanie. And I'm mad at you for being okay with this segment. 01:24:58 Speaker 1: Why am I in trouble? 01:25:01 Speaker 2: I think this is a good this is a good moment where we can are you saying I shot down stuff like when we you've said that we shouldn't pitch merch on air because we can't even get our ship straight most of the time. I believe it was now okay, Well, yeah, it's an okay thing. Yeah, very protective for our audience and us, because we get we pitch something and everybody's like, yeah, when's it coming, when's it coming? And we don't deliver. We're all we're doing nothing. But it's a disservice to everybody. Further, gotcha stray from Derek. We started, we started it, normalize it, and then he was like, oh, well, I'm they pitched it all the time. 01:25:44 Speaker 5: I'll start pitching. When Derek started here, we pitched ship. Every let's make mayby backs, you know what, You're right? 01:25:56 Speaker 2: Really? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's that's all fair. That's all fair. Okay, So segment approved and time out all right, like off the pod time out, off the pod time. Oh wait wait. 01:26:11 Speaker 4: Sure this is a bit oh off the pod time back to the off the pod, on the pod, off the pod time out. Yeah yeah yeah, this is a real in the pod, off the pod moment. Yes, so are we in the pod right now? I technically we're off the pod, but the listeners can hear us because it's still part of the pod. But we're having a talk as a team off the pod while got you. 01:26:29 Speaker 1: So they're getting inside on making that goes this. 01:26:32 Speaker 2: But they're getting inside this is a team meaning got you. Yeah. My only hesitation is the points that they were bringing up that where I was just getting lax brained right there. I was getting dad brained and truly buying into the idea that's brilliant. We should one hundred percent do that. And hey, he's bringing up old stuff that I would say, which he's right on. And so now that we're coming back around to do we continue to do merch ideas. But my only thing is we would need to deliver on the merch ideas. 01:27:03 Speaker 4: One hundred percent agreed. I agree with what you're saying because it's consistent with what you've always said. What just happened. And you wear many hats. You are CEO Will Compton, you are former NFL player Will Compton, You're for the co host Will Compton. 01:27:16 Speaker 2: You got a lot of hats, A lot of hats, a lot of hats. 01:27:18 Speaker 1: There are times where I got to be former NFL. 01:27:20 Speaker 2: Players Will Compton. That was one of them. It was like, ah, yeah, that's a great idea. I love this idea. 01:27:27 Speaker 4: They've got to be cheaper than the beanies we make because the beanies we make are bigger and so little beanies have to be cheaper, and so I can look into it if we really want to see the same thing. I just want you to know that I've pitched things on the show, and you've told me to stop pitching things on the show. 01:27:41 Speaker 2: Because I get nervous that we can want deliver. Sure, but I love the line of you'll look into it. I will look into it. 01:27:48 Speaker 5: Yea. 01:27:49 Speaker 1: Then then I think that kind of. 01:27:50 Speaker 2: Saves everything because then the audience also knows if they're in this with us, like we do have to look into these things. 01:27:55 Speaker 1: To see if it's like feasible. 01:27:56 Speaker 2: Or the right moves or the best move or I wish we were on the podcast right now so that the audience could hear this. 01:28:01 Speaker 3: Yeah, Deep does follow through. That's the one thing that I am confident on. If he says he's gonna look into it, he'll look into it. 01:28:08 Speaker 2: Yeah. That makes me feel comfortable. 01:28:11 Speaker 4: Now I'm thinking back on everything that if I haven't followed through on, I think we're okay. 01:28:16 Speaker 2: No, you always fall you. 01:28:18 Speaker 1: No, I's been a trust that's built. 01:28:21 Speaker 4: I also don't want PT six to be like, oh, where's that thing and get mad at me, because sure I got the. 01:28:26 Speaker 2: Idea that that's and that's what this all opens up to, Like, no matter what, if we get excited about a potential idea and it doesn't. 01:28:34 Speaker 1: Happen, where is it? 01:28:35 Speaker 2: Where is it? You almost need? You need whoever the bad guy is in whatever story they are. 01:28:41 Speaker 4: When they I'm the military guy getting arrows in his back and you two are on the bed sleeping, cuddling, and I'm taking I'm aware. I just also want to pitch the ideas that I'll get shot in the back for as an arrow on it. 01:28:53 Speaker 2: Okay, as long as we're cool with that. As long as we're good with that. When we get back on the pod, how are we going to present this to Pt six real quick? What we saw? I think since it was an internal meeting with us, we don't we don't carry it over into the pop. They don't here, so we just don't don't acknowledge the meeting. 01:29:08 Speaker 3: And then we just go right back into that segment where he said it was a genius idea. 01:29:14 Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I think we come back into it with oh my gosh, that's such a good idea, shirm and we just keep going. 01:29:19 Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay, we're gonna say, all right, we're back, had just had a great meeting. Yeah, oh yeah, Dike's going to look into it. Yeah, let's get in a crack a cold one, and can we just get a clap before you go back into it? All right, we are back from the internal meeting we just had with for the dads. The consensus is great idea, Thank you. Deek is going to look into it. That's fabulous, and we'll know our answer through Deec. We'll and also to des the gatekeeper to just throw extra wood on this bonfire. He he's already been shopping. What he alluded to earlier is he don't say too much again with everybody know now the keeper, we have to have another no no meaning we got to hit the Cracker cole one. 01:30:02 Speaker 1: Because we got to keep this episode under an out. 01:30:04 Speaker 2: Sure, stuff's in the works, Stuff's in the works. 01:30:08 Speaker 3: Dee dee'sman cooking. All right, my krekit Coal one this week, My krackit Coal one is going to go to Rue dominating the monkey bars. Dominating a chef will obviously get the video to you so you can put it up there. 01:37:26 Speaker 4: You got this through. 01:37:31 Speaker 2: Focus, don't look at me, Oh my gosh, but one after another bro and even at the end, a little planet of the apes hang before she got onto the other side. Can I do something pretty dramatic here before you go into this story, if that's basically the story, before you talk about how proud you are of your daughter. 01:37:57 Speaker 3: I want to give that video a full moment. I don't even wanted to play up here like I think we should roll tape and welcome back. Can you believe what you just saw? 01:38:09 Speaker 5: No? 01:38:10 Speaker 2: I look up there, and when I see you're going across the monkey bars, I think scholarship. Yeah. The week before Ruth's Ben she loves the monkey bars at school, and I guess it's lower to where her maybe their feet in touch or something like that. But she was starting to get it to where she goes on the first one and then goes to the second one, but won't go to the third one. She'd be like, dadd grab me, and I would kind of like grab her rib cage and help a little, you know, just enough to where she can kind of get all the. 01:38:35 Speaker 1: Way to the other side. But she she would only do two. 01:38:38 Speaker 2: She only do two monkey bars before it's like Dad's grabbing her on the rib cage and she's going across the other side that one. 01:38:44 Speaker 1: Charlot, they're at the park. I wasn't there, and Charle rips me that video. 01:38:48 Speaker 2: I'm just smiling ear to ear, like dude, and even at the end you hears say send it to dad, Dad. Yeah, But she just rips across the monkey bars and I'm just like, yo, you're doing it, man. Yeah, Like I'm thinking, I knew you could do this. You just got to like trust that you're strong enough and trust that you you know, it's like the fear of that creeps in once you get by one. You're like, okay, grab me. Yeah, It's like, bro, you're strong enough. I've seen you I've seen you hang on the monkey bar for over fifty seconds. Yeah, like you got it, bro just and yeah, I was. I was on cloud nine, I whenever wherever I was. I was in the conference room on the other side. But whoever was in the room or it was maybe the stream room. We were watching March Madness. Yeah, stream room, and I stopped them, like everybody watched this video. 01:39:29 Speaker 1: Watch this video. Yeah that's Rue. Yeah, that's that's me. 01:39:32 Speaker 3: You halted all work being done in the back too. There was like three or four of us sitting back there, and it was like, a this is important. 01:39:41 Speaker 2: Yeah, watched this and it was right. 01:39:44 Speaker 3: My note that I took away from it, yeah, was most kids that you see on the monkey bars have this action going, and this is their torso going and they're having to use the momentum of there by bro Rue center gravity is crazy in that video. 01:40:02 Speaker 2: She's doing no leg swinging, She's full on. She looks like one of those American Ninja warrior thing that her body American Ninja warriors. Because what now, it's like, I don't know, she's three, she's about to be four. Yeah, but I'm thinking, hey, is this rare? It looked rare to me, dude, most of them are up there like she's just doing doing, doing doing. We could we could ask AI, are you a big American ninja warrior guy? I'm just saying that's super impressive. It is like the potential could seem high. The bar is high, but maybe maybe all three year olds do this. Yeah, of three year olds, I will say her dad can play in the NFL do her mom was a ballerina and is currently still in fitness. Very athletic mom. Listen, this is just a I s a I overview. Okay, I typed in Google what percent of three year olds can do all the monkey bars? Cool? It is very rare, but AI might be feed my ego is very rare for a three year old to complete an entire set of standard monkey bars, as most children like necessary strength and coordination until ages five and six. While some toddlers can hang or do one or two bars with assistance, full independent traversal traversal traversal is not typical as they generally lack sufficient grip strength will shut shout out ROUE was that claude? That's Google? AI, that's just I type in the search bar. Okay, I trust Google AI. That's very rare, dude. So shout out, rush, shout out, crack a cold one. Yeah, that's my crack of cold one. Thank you, lollipop, Thank you lollipop, Thank you Dan Gable. My crack a cold one is the same crack of cold one I have last week, but now we're on the flip side of it. It was the first t golf lessons. 01:41:56 Speaker 3: I got to do my first first tea golf lesson and go out there and teach the kiddos how to golf. 01:42:02 Speaker 2: How was it? Bro It was everything I was looking It was truly everything that I was looking for. 01:42:07 Speaker 3: I pull up to Smyrna, the public course that I'm coaching at, there's not a single golf club to be seen. They're playing sharks and minnows. You remember that one dude? Oh, I remember remember sharks and this one kid. I mean they did like three rounds of he was the only mino and he was making it to the other side every time. I was like, this kid's a freak. But we're here to do golf. We're not even here to do sharks and minnows. But you're just kind of getting integrated into that, like playground mentality. Being outside it was like seventy four with just like a little bit of wind in the sun. It's just like perfect. I'm in shorts. The other leaders of the thing, they're like, hey, guy, Sherman's new. We're gonna show him the rope. Sherman, you just shadow. His name's Alex, And thank god, dude, because these kids were all over the place with the clubs. 01:43:03 Speaker 2: Hey don't swing that by his head, but hey, hold it in safety position. What are we doing? 01:43:08 Speaker 3: We don't run on the green, blah blah blah. Alex was on it, and I was kind of sitting there. I'm taking notes from Alex. I'm like, okay, I'm seeing I've worked with kids before, but not like this, not like a full like sports thing. So taking notes from Alex. I had mid golf lesson, girl comes up. 01:43:28 Speaker 2: To me, do you know sign language? Said, I know that is that thank you? Like that right there? That thank you? She goes thank yeah and walks off. 01:43:39 Speaker 3: Had another girl tell me about her brother's soccer practice that's happening immediately after her golf lessons. 01:43:46 Speaker 2: That was about a fifteen minutes story, and. 01:43:49 Speaker 3: That was between hey, good swing there, Yeah, Hey, let's adjust that club a little bit. Got to learn about her brother's soccer team. It was incredible, nice man, it was really. 01:43:59 Speaker 2: Fun, dude. 01:44:00 Speaker 3: And yeah, and then we had a nice little pow wow breakdown. At the end of Hey, what we learned today, sweet little six year old seven year old girl gets up and just puts on an absolute show of a monologue of what she learned today. And none of it made sense, none of it connected to anything that was taught that day. 01:44:24 Speaker 2: And she ran out of breath a lot as she was doing it, too, and she got a round of applause from everyone standing. Oh, it was a standing o and need to wait and uh, that's my mom and when but when you're putting standing, Oh, I took my hat off too, shook her hand, shook her hand. So that's right, Gabriella, that's right. Cheers bro, Hey, cheers. Very fun. 01:45:01 Speaker 6: Though. 01:45:03 Speaker 2: Voicemails voicemail, So, dude, let's hit the voicemail six and one of the dad's call in their hotline vent to the boys. 01:45:11 Speaker 3: And usually I haven't pulled up. This is the part of the show where we talk a little bit while I pull it up. 01:45:17 Speaker 1: Yeah, so we like to do this. 01:45:22 Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll look into it. You can look into it all right. First one unknown allergy. 01:45:30 Speaker 8: Here we go, Hey boys, Joe from Texas calling in. 01:45:37 Speaker 2: Joe from Texas, requesting a little bit of. 01:45:39 Speaker 8: A dad hack or something. I found out my wife it's got an allergy. She's allergic to putting shot back where it goes after she's done using it, just you know my brain. 01:45:57 Speaker 7: Where it goes. 01:45:59 Speaker 3: She is allergic to putting shit back to where it goes after she's done using it. Oh, start from the top, maybe, Sharon, let's start from the top, because this is a medical condition. 01:46:12 Speaker 2: This is an unknown allergy. We are doctors. Joe from Texas. 01:46:17 Speaker 8: Take two, Hey boys, it's Joe from Texas calling in, requesting a little bit of a dad hack or something. I found out my wife it's got an allergy. She's allergic to putting shit back where it goes after she's done using it. 01:46:38 Speaker 2: Just you know my brain. 01:46:40 Speaker 8: The task is only complete once you got everything back in this place. But her now she abandons sight right then and there, and all the shit she used just not back where it goes. So I was wondering if we got any dad hacks. Maybe a doctor in the community. Can let me know Claritan to give her in the morning so we can battle this allergy together. 01:47:05 Speaker 2: Yeah, we can get all my ship back where it goes. Thanks appreciated, Joe from Texas. Joe from Texas. Wife has an allergy to putting shit back where it belongs. 01:47:19 Speaker 3: After she's done using and I love the idea, Joe of using Clareton. I actually take Claardon every morning. Yeah, but unfortunately I was born with said allergy as well. My nurse wife love, I love you, Honey, would tell you I have that same allergy my. 01:47:41 Speaker 2: Wife as well. I have an allergy to putting ship back where it belongs. Everything needs a home, he is what I'm told. Yeah, everything has a place. Do we need to switch to bin a drill? Maybe Clareton's not cutting strong enough. Yeah, I would say, Joe, thank you for calling in from Texas. This is more of a hack. You need to ask my wife because I am the wife in this scenario. I have an allergy to put hip back where it goes. I can give you advice from the perspective of your wife on things that I get told. Yeah, what's going on there? Charl will hit me with how can I help you remember to put ship back where it goes? 01:48:35 Speaker 6: Like? 01:48:35 Speaker 2: How can I walk with you versus just telling you or reminding you or about Hey, it's been six months that you put the boxes. You've been saying you're gonna put the boxes outside for six months now. Oh yeah, the leaning tower boxes. Yeah I have that too. Yeah, when you're going to handle the boxes they've been sitting out. Now that they're out in the garage, you said you were going to handle them. Oh, I do have hack for the boxes. Yeah, I tweeted about it. My beautiful wife came up with a wonderful strategy put it on the front porch. So then her. 01:49:05 Speaker 3: Husband, that is a people pleaser and seeks the approval of everyone, is then terribly embarrassed that his neighbors will see empty boxes on his front porch and will immediately then go put him in the trash. Pretty good strap from. 01:49:20 Speaker 1: The wife there. 01:49:21 Speaker 2: Wife, you will randomly ask me, so, what do you want to do with all this? It's like a mail pile there, what do you want to do with all this? Y Sunday evening, I'm already trying to watch I'm locked into whatever I'm watching on TV. Why do we got to do this right now? My favorite? 01:49:35 Speaker 1: Well, sweetheart, I wouldn't. I wouldn't want to do this right now. 01:49:38 Speaker 2: But this pile has been sitting here, yeah, for a very long time, and it's the same conversation over and over. How can I help you organize when the mail gets brought in and your dumb ass brain can't figure it out? You said that. I didn't say no yet. She said that. 01:49:56 Speaker 3: She said that my favorite thing that my wife does you. She asked a really great question of is. 01:50:03 Speaker 2: That where this goes? Yeah, they ask you a question when it's like, hey, why don't you just tell me what's on your mind? Because I hear the question game happening now? Oh that's funny. Is that where the pants go on top of the piano? Yeah? 01:50:19 Speaker 5: Oh? 01:50:20 Speaker 2: Will? There's a coaster sitting right next to your cup. Can we put the cup on the coaster? That's a good call. That's about the only thing I am pretty good at. That's about it. The sweating glass, that's about it. It's not even sweating it. It's gonna sweat. 01:50:37 Speaker 5: It. 01:50:37 Speaker 3: Took ruining one piece of furniture of my mom's too. I learned that lesson quickly voicemail too. 01:50:45 Speaker 4: Can I give you one of my douchey mentality things for that guy? Yeah, mentality I think called the one touch rule, which is I try to do it. I'm very bad about it. If I bring home a gym bag or something, the only time you should touch it is when you're putting it back in its place. So if I bring out the vacuum and I leave it in the corner, I have to touch it a second time to put it back. So you just need to put it back. So your shoes when you take them off, like you just put them back where they belong. Don't just set them there because you just want to touch it once. You just want to touch the thing once. Is what I try to think of with does not work at fuck all for me, but it's something I've learned a lot about it. 01:51:21 Speaker 1: That would be a hack. 01:51:22 Speaker 2: It would be a hack is just touch it once. 01:51:25 Speaker 4: Like if you're done with a cup and you set this cup down here, instead of sending it down here, would have to touch it a second time to throw it away, Just throw it away a piece of shit. 01:51:32 Speaker 2: That's what I tell myself. Doesn't work yet, That's why that's why. That's why we got you on here, man, That's what we weren't going anywhere with it. Where Like I'm thinking you said shoes, I'm like, god, shoes is another one, shooeses another one. 01:51:44 Speaker 3: Joe from Texas or yeah, you can do what I did when I got really frustrated and just told my wife, Hey, you married me, and I like putting my shoes by the door. So that's where they're going. NAM worked out. Hey, let's see, let's see how that works up for it. But yeah, Joe from Texas, thanks for calling in, Thank you for calling. 01:52:05 Speaker 1: I hope it works out. 01:52:07 Speaker 2: I did too. This is a simple question of how can I help you. That's Charles's approach with me that works best for me hearing that, and she asked me with a question thing like I see right through it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I went in in all seriousness of putting things back where they belong. 01:52:28 Speaker 3: It's that you remember when I was trying very hard when Jill was pregnant to be leave as little of a footprint in the house as possible, almost not even exist. You could walk into that house and go, wait, I thought she was married. I need to readopt that I lost it. 01:52:47 Speaker 2: Yeah, and just understanding too that my wife loves when things are just decluttered because if there's clutter, it feels like it's cluttering her brain, which helps me empathize and see what her vantage point is. Other than feeling like she's coming at me for not doing something that she's wanting, She's giving me perspective into her world. I that's always what I think about, Like last night, perfect example last night, because I started doing more PT Fit, I've started getting into the pt fit. Go, oh, that's right, But I have my own I have a separate backpack for my my extra set of clothes in that pack and my shoes they go in the backpack in case I want to get it in here. But by any means, I'm trying to set up structure. But I left the backpack on the couch or like the little the couch at the foot of the bed. Okay, And she hit me with, oh, that's something new that's on the couch. I said, sweetheart, I'm with you. This isn't going to be a reoccurring thing. 01:53:40 Speaker 5: This is day one. That's day one. Yet that backpack is not going to be on that couch every day. I have a question for the crowd, and maybe this is a younger generation thing. Have you ever heard from your loved one I'm overstimulated? Is that word ever perspirated during any kind of issu. 01:53:59 Speaker 1: Yeah, like it's go. 01:54:00 Speaker 2: It plays into the cluttering in her mind, like it just feels like stuff has to be organized in the right spot. 01:54:07 Speaker 5: That's been a new one I've been doing with the overstin and I'm like, is there anything I can do or something? And it's kind of like that's her, like, get the fuck out of my way. 01:54:16 Speaker 2: It's been nice. Yeah, spoiler warning. 01:54:18 Speaker 1: Co existing with the female gender is a very fascinating. 01:54:22 Speaker 5: It is. 01:54:24 Speaker 3: Spoiler warning if you don't want to know what my lesson of the week is this week, before we get to that section, it actually hits exactly on this there. We're going to be put on some game later in this pod. Okay, this is a really cool voicemail. Will This is a callback voicemail to a pretty emotional comment that you had read in a prior episode. Okay, just to I'll recap, Yes, just to recap. You had the comment from Grant where he was not on a flight that some of his marine buddies. They all passed away in a plane crash. Yeah I remember, Yes, Okay, now check out this voicemail. 01:55:19 Speaker 6: Hey boys, Andrew here a few weeks behind on the episodes, but believe it's the February twenty fifth episode. You guys just finished off with the letter from Grant, and I'm in a similar situation. Me and my wife for separated because the military, but I still go see them all the time as much as I can. But Grant's yankee got my tears in my eyes. But I actually responded to that crash and help with the search and recovery of our brothers. So it's just crazy to think about how this podcast can bring stories. Although I've never met Grant, we're part of a similar story, and how these moments kind of put things in perspective and you don't know what someone else is dealing with, whether it's tragedy or just everyday life. So thank you boys doing much for doing and just wanted to shout you guys out and the work you're doing and how you're kind of bringing the community together, and shout out to Grant and I hope you're doing well, brother Petistic. 01:56:48 Speaker 2: That's unreal dude, that's crazy, that's unreal. 01:56:55 Speaker 1: Yeah. 01:56:55 Speaker 2: I remember going home that day and I was telling Charles all about Grant is right in and it's just how you know his story and you know how it's like if he would have been on that plane and coming back and remarrying and going through like raising his daughters. And that phone call is from it's Andrew, right. I believe he said his say Andrew, yes, boy, Andrew here. 01:57:20 Speaker 1: Yeah, just I don't even know what to say, Like that is nuts to me. 01:57:27 Speaker 2: Like he's listening, He's like, oh, I still got some episodes to catch up, but he just hurd the one with Grant. And to think that in his world he was part of like a research and rescue team for that story years ago. The fact that Grant even put the call sign for the plane in the story that then would allow Andrew to then tie it like it really Derek, we he'll show me some things that have like layers so that it's easier to go through on the pod. And he showed me all this information. 01:58:02 Speaker 3: We sat there for at least like three or four minutes just going what a small world? 01:58:08 Speaker 1: Yeah, what a world? 01:58:10 Speaker 2: That is so crazy to me, And like he's saying at the top, like he's empathizing and hearing all the things, like he's struggling and being he struggles being away from his family and seeing them as much as he can. Here's a story like that sees the tag and like man, I was part of that research and rescue team. And literally, because this damn podcast is rolling, he is connecting dots from years ago, and then also saying, like Grant, I hope you're doing well, bro, if you if he's if Grant's listening right now, and just here's that. 01:58:42 Speaker 1: It's that is that is wild. That is wild. 01:58:46 Speaker 2: I don't. 01:58:48 Speaker 1: That's one where you're just thinking about. 01:58:49 Speaker 2: I'll be thinking about that driving home, and then I'll be telling Charlie about you know, listen to this story. 01:58:54 Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of a lot of little wins that we have nothing to do with other than just existing. Right around this podcast of we've Derek and Chef and I have been joking about the ex community that was created by Jared Ladd. Yeah, in a good way, joking about it of how funny that idea is. And then I'm going to bed. I've had one hell of a Monday, not bad because of work, bad because of ac stuff that's happening outside of work, and so I'm stressed as all get out. I probably have a really negative attitude. And I pull up my Twitter notifications. I see that Jared has sent into that dad group a picture of his family on a vacation on a road trip, and that another dad that doesn't know Jared at all other than being in this community, just said hey, sake travels shared and then Jared under it, hey, thank you, buddy, and I just had to stop there and smile and just go, Bro, that's so cool, it's so crazy. It just hilarious, said I. I tweeted in something like a dad reached out to another dad for safe travels in a dad group. That's the most pet sickup thing I could ever read. And this obviously this voicemail email connection, like that's way deeper and like there's some tragedy there, but it's just another illustration of just that happening. 02:00:23 Speaker 2: Yeah, just the community. Man, It's really sick because I have that one in my closet that I keep one of the cards that we had back when somebody wrote and it's over it's like international and Ruth talking about her her in her friend, her friend. Yeah, and how it connected and gave that now, gave him peace. Yeah, Nell, Nelly, Nelly, And that one sits in my closet just because it's it's just nuts. It's crazy, man, really cool, is super cool? It is super cool. One more, two more? How are we doing? Two more? 02:01:08 Speaker 1: One more? 02:01:09 Speaker 2: One more? 02:01:09 Speaker 1: One more? 02:01:10 Speaker 2: Dadding our balls off? Let's dad our balls off? 02:01:17 Speaker 7: Hey, boys, this is Kevin from Michigan checking in. First weekend of March. Wife. He goes off for our girl's trip. 02:01:23 Speaker 8: Good. 02:01:25 Speaker 7: Second weekend of March, another girl's trip, long weekend, solo parent good. Third weekend of March. Wife, He's gotta work the whole weekend triple good. But you know what, we just dadding our balls off over here in Michigan, And just checking in to shout out to all the dads to just be dadding their balls off. You know, you just gotta do what you gotta do. Oh wonderful girls at home. Three and a six year old, and we just we're in the trenches right now. Boys, So just checking in. Let everybody know, have a good weekend, have a good week out. 02:01:56 Speaker 2: Just solo dad and his ass off. Mama have his some fun, mama having some work. Yeah, good good? Oh another girls trip back to back? Oh that's great? Yeah, wait, who's watching? Oh, I'll watch the kids. I'll watch the kids all weekend, is all right? If I do that while you go on the girls trip, you're gonna make all their dinners good, gonna wipe all their little tshies when they're done going potty. 02:02:22 Speaker 6: Good. 02:02:22 Speaker 2: Oh, it's picture day tomorrow, perfect, perfect, March Madness is on. You know, I got a I got a dad. My ball's off. Good, mission to get him in some basketball. 02:02:34 Speaker 3: Michigan's on a generational run this year. Yeah, it's probably a big Blue fan. 02:02:38 Speaker 1: Good, sweethearts. 02:02:39 Speaker 2: Since you're staying up, let's watch the Huskers take down Vanderbilt in a barn burner. 02:02:44 Speaker 3: Good and honey, do you realize that this is actually a very big deal for the Huskers. This would be their second all time victory in the tournament in program history. 02:02:53 Speaker 2: And would be will be is their first ever Sweet sixteen appearance. Good? 02:03:00 Speaker 1: Awesome? 02:03:00 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome. 02:03:01 Speaker 3: What I love about the voicemails, not that I love him more than the emails, is you can hear it in the voice no matter what the voicemail is and we have that one guy, the Oreo guy, where we could hear it in his voice he needed he needed somebody. Yeah, I can hear it in Kyle's voice that he's in the trench. He's letting us know he's literally in the trenches. 02:03:21 Speaker 2: Gun, Hey, all good, here, all good. And then he dad's out there. Keep that in your balls off, Keep that in your balls off. 02:03:28 Speaker 1: What I love too. 02:03:30 Speaker 2: He knows this, but maybe he needs to be reminded his petiqs. He's pete. 02:03:36 Speaker 1: His PT six standard is up here. 02:03:39 Speaker 2: Oh yeah. The fact that your wife has so much trust in you to operate solo weekendst not is the trenches, raise the trenches, Like, yeah, that comes with some suck that you've got to embrace that suck. But knowing that, like, dude, hats off to you, that's big. Like I know people where the wife does not feel comfortable leaving the house. 02:04:02 Speaker 3: Yes, you took me off to the side before that very first solo weekend and you legitimately took me off to the side over there, and you were being dead serious and you're like, this is a big weekend. 02:04:13 Speaker 2: This is where you show her that you got it. Yeah that you you got this, that you can go have a free weekend now back to back to back. Yeah, goodness, shot, but bro good on you. Yeah, that's what we need, the more dads that just they can just operate the PT six missions solo. 02:04:32 Speaker 3: Yeah, Kyle's a killer, Dude, He's a killer. He's dadding his balls off. You're setting you're setting an example for the next generation. 02:04:40 Speaker 2: M hm, yes, two are right? Two girls? He said. I think yeah, two girls three and six. Shout them out, shout them out. But I love it that that sucks, but it also fires me up. Hey will, Yeah, I have an email. Well do you have an email? 02:05:02 Speaker 1: Yeah, I have an email. This one is from Chase showing scoing sech Oheen shown shown Chase shown thank you for writing in again six I won the dads at gmail dot com. For fourteen months, our little guy didn't sleep through the night. Bedtime was meant bedtime met Mom or Dad rocking him to sleep, followed by the constant anxiety of wondering when he'd wake up, usually two or three times. Mom wasn't on board with sleep. 02:05:33 Speaker 2: Training because she wanted to cherish the cuddles for as long as possible, knowing one day he wouldn't want to be held to sleep anymore. I understand that, but I was handling most of the nighttime wake up so she could be rested for the next day, and as dads know, mom usually wins those debates. Then came the final strawl. One night, he was up from eleven pm to four am with zero interest in going back to sleep. The next day, while Mom was working a late shift, I told her I was going to test the waters, put him down awake, and see if you could fall asleep on his own. Ooh, night one. A few small cries, maybe for ten minutes. Then he slept through the night. Good Good Night two, about five minutes of crying, slept through the night, good Night three. He just stared at us when we left the room, slept through the night. Good. Now a month later, all three of us are sleeping through the night. Little man even blows us a kiss as we leave the room, and everyone's mood has improved. We've officially made it out of the no sleep trenches. Of Course, I still remind Mom this was Dad's idea. You have to, yeah, you have to just real sweetly, yeah, real sweetly. 02:06:44 Speaker 1: You gotta. 02:06:45 Speaker 2: You have to take the winds where you can take them. If not, they'll be forgotten. Yeah, and I'll happily accept payment in any form now that we have all of this free time during the night. 02:06:57 Speaker 1: Right, there are two funk coupons. 02:06:59 Speaker 2: Is he talking about crypto? What do you mean by that? Yeah? Oh he Okay, I see what he's doing. He's putting a bow on it. We'll give him some digital coupons. Yeah, we could do that. 02:07:12 Speaker 1: One a shockwave. Yeah, yeah, one to put a bow on it. 02:07:16 Speaker 2: And just you know, keep on walking around the house and doodle in here and there and just under your breath going, Man, I can't believe I had that idea that It still just blows my mind. 02:07:26 Speaker 1: That's crazy. 02:07:27 Speaker 3: Gotta do it, gotta do it. My lesson of the week is very evergreen. So if you have one this week, I. 02:07:35 Speaker 2: Had an Instagram shout out. But if again, got to keep it under an hour, you have a lesson, dude, rip your lesson. 02:07:40 Speaker 3: Okay, we're gonna start with everybody's favorite segment. Before the segment, it's a Dan Gable quote. 02:07:48 Speaker 2: This one's quick. Dan Gable says, I got a Minnesota cabin I got a little garage by the lake. 02:07:57 Speaker 3: At that cabin, I got an air dine will workout bike in said garage, and I got a set of weights. 02:08:06 Speaker 2: I got a big lake there to jump in, and I got a hot sauna right there on the lake. 02:08:10 Speaker 3: Would burner. I don't go anywhere without it, Dan Gable, pt. Siko, pt Fiddo. I just thought that would inspire you. I know you love saunas. 02:08:22 Speaker 2: I know you. That's a phenomenal setup. That's an A plus setup. That's when I would dream to have something like that I have. Dun dun dun, d dun dun duh, take your sweet ass time. 02:08:40 Speaker 1: We got nothing to do. 02:08:42 Speaker 2: Dun dum. Jeff's got nothing to do after this. Just take your time, take your time. 02:08:46 Speaker 3: Dun da dut dum. My lesson of the week. All right, This one has a video which I sent to Chef. He'll play it, but I'll play it for you now. 02:08:55 Speaker 9: I study babies for a living and I'm raising four of my own. The mental load is not about tasks. It's about tracking. Most dads think that mental load means chores. 02:09:05 Speaker 2: It's not. 02:09:05 Speaker 9: It's the fact that your partner knows when the pediatrician appointment is that your toddler's shoes are getting tight, that you're almost out of diapers, that the library books are due Thursday, and that your four year old has been weird about bananas this week. That's not a to do list, that's a continuous monitoring system running in the background of everything else. 02:09:23 Speaker 2: That they do. 02:09:24 Speaker 9: You can't fix this by doing more tasks. You fix it by owning entire categories. Don't just take out the trash when it's full. Own the kitchen, know what's running low, schedule the restock. When you own the tracking, not just the task, your partner's brain gets to let go of that thread. That's the real relief. 02:09:44 Speaker 2: See on the next one, is that not some game? That is game? 02:09:50 Speaker 1: So that is game? Because what he's saying, I'm like, yeah, that's how I see it. 02:09:56 Speaker 3: This is what I wrote down immediately after watching that this guy is putting out absolute game. I've never had my wife's brain described to me so eloquently before from a complete stranger. This is going to be applied to my notes from the past episode of working on the Three P's, and I want to announce here on this podcast that I will be committing my talents for the next seventy years, hopefully to the bathrooms of all current and future across the day. 02:10:27 Speaker 2: Youngs, I'm going to own the bathroom. 02:10:32 Speaker 1: No, that dude crushed it. 02:10:33 Speaker 2: He crushed it. He did. 02:10:35 Speaker 1: Just give a nice look. 02:10:37 Speaker 3: And I fall short in the bathroom thing, and I'm like, I'm going to make sure that we have the body wash. I'm going to make sure she has her favorite shampoo. She loves Kirkland. Shout out Kirkland. Apparently, Uh do we have toilet paper? How are we doing on Q tips in cotton swabs on the toilets? 02:10:57 Speaker 2: Clean the streaks there? 02:11:00 Speaker 1: This did just open up. 02:11:03 Speaker 2: Everything. And guess what, Jill's never gonna have to think about ever again. If I do this right, when you do this right, come on, come on, she will never have to think about the bathroom again. Buddy, I'm starting small. You can tell I obviously, I see, yeah, I started yeah, yeah, I think that's great. And again that explanation, I think if you're sitting at home watching every empty six er is salivating, I got this has to go to my husband. But it's dude, all of the PT sixers need to truly listen to that video. Oh dude. When I watched that, I was like, oh my god, that's exactly that's it, because I'm thinking, as he's saying in my brain's getting found out. That's a good thing. Yeah, because that's a perspective where my brain might shut off if you're getting into like a debate, a debate or like a friction style conversation. Yes, about like the mental load and all the things. They don't think about this, And I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that was a very good explanation of me, like wrapping my brain around that. Yeah, that's my lesson. I got work to do. 02:12:15 Speaker 1: I got work. 02:12:16 Speaker 2: You're talking great lessons. You're talking to the guy. 02:12:18 Speaker 1: Great video. Yeah, great video. 02:12:21 Speaker 2: Goods old good said good, sold great sod okay good Yeah, thank you, Dan Gable. Any comment that we any emoji that we want to leave in the comments? Do we want to kick it over to the producer table? For truck, I was just about to say, truck. 02:12:38 Speaker 1: Truck, let's do it, truck tru. We got the trash. See you next week.
