Theo Von On Rise Of 'This Past Weekend' Podcast + Turning Down Sandler's 'Happy Gilmore 2' | Bussin

Bussin' With The Boys

Recorded: July 28th 2025 | This week on Bussin’ With The Boys, Will Compton and Taylor Lewan have on the legendary Theo Von! From deep thoughts to deep woods, Theo takes us on a ride through his fasting-fueled introspections, sketch comedy chaos, and SEC football hot takes. We kick things off with a fun intro discussing Dieon Sanders news, and the upcoming Bussin’ Bowl Live Show.

After our electric intro, the Theo interview kicks off starting with Theo sharing about his current fast… yeah, he’s starving, but it’s got him thinking deep. He opens up about how not eating for days makes his mind sharper and his soul weirder, and how it’s even made him re-evaluate his dream guests on This Past Weekend. He hopes to have an episode with The Pope and Marilyn Monroe. Theo also drops a bombshell: he was approached to be in Adam Sandler’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ on Netflix but had to turn it down due to scheduling conflicts.

The boys chop it up about Theo’s long-time friendship with Bobby Lee and the success of his True Friends podcast. He reflects on the early years of grinding in LA, podcasting before it was cool, and what it was like trying to find his voice while bouncing off other now-huge comics. The boys also talk about Theo’s viral “Digger” sketch with Shane Gillis and Druski, breaking down the behind-the-scenes chaos and what it’s like working with comedy heavyweights.

Then things get outdoorsy as Theo talks about his fun camping trip with none other than Glenny Balls and the owner of Jimmy John’s Sandwiches. We even get a heartfelt moment as Theo opens up about his friendship with UFC star Dustin Poirier, sharing some behind-the-scenes stories and what it means to know a guy who's still as real as they come. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Bussin’ episode without some football talk. Theo, Will, and Taylor break down their bold predictions for the upcoming SEC season, roasting a few teams along the way and throwing out some sleeper picks you probably didn’t see coming.

00:04:53
Speaker 4: Packed house. Shoulder and shoulder got a lot of booze. I got a lot of booze. When I walked out, that place was covered in a sea of ye. Will be high, vibes, will be high. Thank God.

00:05:02
Speaker 1: That weekend is everything.

00:05:04
Speaker 4: Michigan right now. Favored as a away team minus three and a half total points in that game, forty five and a half. Too really to tell him the total, way too early to tell him the total, too early to tell good. But I will say, I will say boys. We had this conversation last week on the intro when I was running a solo intro. Will needs this. Will needs it, And to be frank, this trophy game needs it right. It can't just be so one side all the time. Do I think it's gonna work out for Will?

00:05:34
Speaker 6: No?

00:05:34
Speaker 4: I don't, No, I don't. But I hope to God we can find a way to, you know, love the boy up, because.

00:05:42
Speaker 7: It can't be me.

00:05:42
Speaker 4: It's got to be you, guys. It can't be me to lift Will up because I'm gonna be public enemy number one. I need you guys to love on him, nurture him.

00:05:51
Speaker 8: Yes, sure, technically you can't lose, because Michigan technically needs a Nebraska win for this rivalry to mean something, So technically you can't lose.

00:06:04
Speaker 4: I love your thought process. However, every years and New Year, and does Nebraska and Michigan play in twenty twenty six? Yeah, no, exactly exactly. So now I gotta deal with we're two and one. What about your last game? That that whole conversation Will's head Bailey fits in the bus when the year would even there's a scent of maze in the air, like it's just hard to get him to work.

00:06:29
Speaker 6: You know.

00:06:29
Speaker 4: Every year is their year, every year's national championship year, best three win team of all time. I just worry. I worry about my boy, and I gotta balance, you know, I gotta balance this, and it's gonna be a tough little act for me to follow.

00:06:44
Speaker 1: But I love you so you're gonna win win. No, that's what she said.

00:06:49
Speaker 4: I said. I liked it, but then I explained why. I don't want that. I'm still in a win lose.

00:06:54
Speaker 1: Hey, that's why we play the game, man, So I play the game. Why we play the game? Excitement in the air, rivalry in the air, a little bit of hate and anger already.

00:07:03
Speaker 4: I don't know.

00:07:04
Speaker 7: I can't tell you why.

00:07:04
Speaker 1: I don't know.

00:07:05
Speaker 4: It's the last week of July.

00:07:08
Speaker 1: You said others can love me up. It's going to depend on them. The only ones who can love me up are the ones who are going to be riding with me, the ones who are going to be riding for the Nebraska corner.

00:07:17
Speaker 4: I think you'll have a You'll have a good set of boys. You'll have a good set of boys.

00:07:22
Speaker 1: He's got me, Yes, sir, JP knows what I'm talking about.

00:07:26
Speaker 4: I know why, I know why, and you know what I deserve that. You want to explain why you were so quick to answer that question.

00:07:33
Speaker 7: No, he's rying with the Huskers. I don't know this about you, bro.

00:07:36
Speaker 4: Because I was nasty to you when South Carolina played Tennessee. When you guys upset Tennessee at home, and I was not that I was. I was not the best friend I could possibly be that day.

00:07:45
Speaker 6: So I get it, but I've forgotten about that. This is turning talking about it last week.

00:07:50
Speaker 4: What are you talking about? JP?

00:07:52
Speaker 7: But that does himself.

00:07:54
Speaker 1: I know what I'm talking about.

00:07:55
Speaker 6: It has nothing to do with this game, because I remember I turned on him last time. But this is a this is a year for Nebraska. This is a turning point year, and this is a turning point game. And if they win that game, the trajectory is probably what he says it will be.

00:08:13
Speaker 7: And I want to be a part of it at the home crowd at night.

00:08:16
Speaker 4: It's at night.

00:08:18
Speaker 1: I don't even know it'll be dark by that point.

00:08:20
Speaker 7: It'll be when the trophy gets lifted.

00:08:26
Speaker 4: Jack, this is the one.

00:08:29
Speaker 9: I'm going Nebraska.

00:08:31
Speaker 10: Yeah, oh wait, I mean I've said as many times I have a huge love for Lincoln. Lincoln and the Vaults or Knoxville have similarities. And it's the home game in Lincoln. It's a lot easier to sport the home team, and you don't have too much blood in it. So but everything JP said I think is true. Like you want to see Nebraska get a win, you want to see Rule get a win to like really solidify that like what he's doing there is something's working. And so I don't want to see the RASCA just revert back to you know, post Scott Frost era, like trying to figure it out.

00:09:04
Speaker 9: So I would love to see those boys.

00:09:07
Speaker 4: Catch a win Postcott Frost era. Yeah, like just in the last two years.

00:09:11
Speaker 1: It's post Scott Frost.

00:09:13
Speaker 9: Do you need Yeah, Matt been the head coach the whole time. It's okay, I understand.

00:09:18
Speaker 1: In the corner, yeah, g b O do it.

00:09:24
Speaker 4: So the trigger.

00:09:24
Speaker 8: This isn't a Red versus Blue thing for me. This is I'm a big Dana Holgerson guy. People know this, so I gotta go the sickos know that you're know that I'm a big Dana Holgerson guy.

00:09:38
Speaker 7: So I gotta go big Red.

00:09:41
Speaker 4: We already know where MIT's is going.

00:09:43
Speaker 1: I mean, that's my that's my that's my spring game. It's my coordinator right there. Yeah, g b R all right, Garrett.

00:09:52
Speaker 4: Then it's the sweet, buddy, finish the sweet.

00:09:55
Speaker 11: You want in the front of the head or in the back.

00:09:57
Speaker 4: I want in the front. I want you to look me in the pull the trigger.

00:10:01
Speaker 11: You know I can't go with Michigan for what you've done the last.

00:10:05
Speaker 4: Year twice twice one year.

00:10:09
Speaker 11: But you're gonna go into this fight alone and maybe you'll make it out alive.

00:10:14
Speaker 4: I will.

00:10:15
Speaker 11: But on Will's birthday weekend, it's the Huskers and that's.

00:10:20
Speaker 1: Crazy or not the Oskars on my birthday weekend?

00:10:23
Speaker 4: This is exactly exactly what I wanted. Good, I needed all of you guys to support Will on his birthday weekend when his dreams are fucking crushed.

00:10:33
Speaker 7: I bet Matt, Matt, Matt, thanks, not alone?

00:10:42
Speaker 4: Well on this trip, jeredy coop ban coming on the trip, brother, they your bank coming on the trip.

00:10:49
Speaker 6: If Nebraska does win, I think we should fly to LA so he can go see Blake Korham.

00:10:55
Speaker 4: Right, just knock knock on the door, shake his hand and leave fly right.

00:11:00
Speaker 1: Him a corner on the cop young.

00:11:03
Speaker 4: Well, has there been a support of his life? His brain is fucked up? Right now?

00:11:06
Speaker 5: Good?

00:11:07
Speaker 1: Hey, you got to choke on this one, buddy.

00:11:09
Speaker 4: But what's today's date? We're shooting us on Monday July tow was it twenty eighth? July twenty eighth? All right, good, good, excellent. Great. How was Canada, dude?

00:11:23
Speaker 1: It was awesome.

00:11:24
Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, that's awesome. Man, tell me about it before.

00:11:26
Speaker 1: We get into Canada. It was your birthday last week and I got you a little something. You got me something. I got you a little something. I got you a gift, and you made the joke in the coffee shop yesterday. What kind of book is it going to be this time? Or ash tray?

00:11:43
Speaker 4: I enjoyed all those, and I'll let you know it is a book.

00:11:47
Speaker 1: This will keep you busy. You'll like one with this one. You'll you'll love this one. This will be this will be your favorite gift that I have given you throughout the duration of our friendship.

00:11:57
Speaker 4: This is a crazy time to give me. I'm like kind of an this me against the world's mentality right now. That's okay, I'm gonna gonna I'm gonna pull it away. We gonna pull it away right now. I'm gonna push it to the side. Yeah, pick that up in a minute. Very thoughtful of you to get me a gift regardless.

00:12:12
Speaker 1: That's why we play the game.

00:12:13
Speaker 4: That's why I play the game.

00:12:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, fun, rivalry, a little bit of.

00:12:16
Speaker 4: Hate, a tad, a touch, a touch.

00:12:20
Speaker 1: Yes, but let's not ruin this moment. I guess sure, go ahead.

00:12:26
Speaker 4: He says, you're gonna have fun with this one. It makes me feel like it's legos. I don't know why.

00:12:32
Speaker 1: Maybe it's a puzzle, a twenty piece puzzle set.

00:12:39
Speaker 4: I see you. Yeah, you don't keep me busy as the box.

00:12:42
Speaker 7: Just rip up on the tape, dude, just watching your highlights.

00:12:46

00:12:55
Speaker 4: I was?

00:12:58
Speaker 12: Are you nervous, tailor?

00:13:01
Speaker 8: No, he's looking at it.

00:13:17
Speaker 1: Just just know what what else is in that box. There's a bunch of little trinkets, a bunch of that's it's what you see right there is not what's just in the box, A bunch of little trinkets to dress that boy up?

00:13:30
Speaker 7: Taylor. What was the last birthday gift you got?

00:13:31
Speaker 2: Will?

00:13:32
Speaker 4: The last birthday gift I got you was a pair of shoes. This blows that out of the water. This blows that out of the water. This man so backstory on this. The only reason why I know of this and this means so much to me is you put me on.

00:13:51
Speaker 7: You put me.

00:13:51
Speaker 4: On this, Arthur Morgan, How awesome. Is that a lot of gets inside, a lot of hats, guns, fishing holes.

00:14:03
Speaker 1: Really, Yeah, some different hands to put on in case you want to hold something a little bit. Yeah, he's got some hats in there. You can put on a different face.

00:14:11
Speaker 4: It makes me happy that this is a healthy Arthur Morgan. This is an act one and two.

00:14:16
Speaker 1: This is.

00:14:18
Speaker 4: Thank you hug you like that one?

00:14:22
Speaker 7: Oh yeah, I'm not taking that out telling how long I was in wills Trump.

00:14:27
Speaker 4: That's that's maybe the most valuable thing I have. That's maybe the most valuable thing I have.

00:14:35
Speaker 1: Huge, Hey, solid gift.

00:14:38
Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a great gift.

00:14:39
Speaker 1: Oh so fired that.

00:14:41
Speaker 4: Just take that, put it back on. All your motherfuckers are against me?

00:14:45
Speaker 1: Huh?

00:14:46
Speaker 4: All right, okay with you, dude. I might put him a little Michigan Jersey.

00:14:52
Speaker 1: Oh, get him a little photo next to the pylon low photo stadium in the background, taking hey taking the each fall? Poor? Stop?

00:15:00
Speaker 7: Should we?

00:15:01
Speaker 9: Yeah?

00:15:01
Speaker 4: All right, who's yours?

00:15:02
Speaker 1: You can do whatever you will do that.

00:15:03
Speaker 4: I can do whatever I want with it. This is my gift.

00:15:06
Speaker 12: You should dress up as.

00:15:08
Speaker 8: Arthur Morgan on the sideline.

00:15:10
Speaker 4: Oh, I'll be in game mode. I can't I can't do petty petty bits at that time. I have to focus no bit. I have to focus no bits.

00:15:21
Speaker 12: How many days until that game?

00:15:22
Speaker 4: Fifty three? If you're watching this on Tuesday, it's fifty four right now?

00:15:27
Speaker 12: You never wore fifty three.

00:15:29
Speaker 4: Will Compton dual Carter? Have you seen him? Penn State pick? Was he top second pick in the draft this year? Lighting shit up in camp? What numbers you wearing?

00:15:42
Speaker 1: Boys?

00:15:43
Speaker 4: Fifty one? There's a rumor going around that have Dual Carter called Will Compton and said, I know it's you know, not the same team, but it is the NFC East and I would feel like I have to ask you if I can wear this jersey number? And what'd you say?

00:15:58
Speaker 1: We also said, man, I have been my your career so much from Afar. I grew up watching you play, even when you were in the even when you're on the Huskers. It would be an honor if I could rep you're five to one? May I do it? Buddy? Absolutely? The game is not about me. It goes beyond me. It's a good yes, It's about the young guys coming up, the youth coming up in the game, and so I you know, I give him my blessing.

00:16:24
Speaker 4: That's beautiful man, that is beautiful God. What a what a good person, good person, good family man, a family man that went to Canada for the past week. How was that, will?

00:16:35
Speaker 1: Dude? It was incredible. A little up and down with the weather, but that's okay. It happens. We went and saw, we saw Lake Moraine, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake. We did like Sunshine Falls, Johnston Canyon or Johnston Falls, Marble Canyon. It was, dude, it was an awesome time. The way I would explain Canada for all this sight seeing the banf area is you see the photos like the blue water, the glacier water. Yeah, glacier from Alaska named that movie water Boy, nice job from and you get some of that water. Like on different beaches. You might go to a nice bot see this nice bright blue water, but you don't get the forestry around it. You might get the forestry in Montana or Colorado, but you don't have the blue water. This area had both things and it was gorgeous. This the scenes ten, the people ten, I mean, just one of the most accommodating trips I've been on as far as just like strangers, people that are working everything. Even the flight there. We took a it's called West west Jet. We took West Jet there, and even the flight attendants were just phenomenal to us and the kids. Dude, it was a great trip. It was a great trip, and going and going with I gotta be I feel like I'm I'm walking on egg chills a little bit. I don't know why I feel this way, just to say, just to like say this, because it has nothing to do with best friend this at the other so I I'm titling it as like a first a first generation best friend, somebody I grew up with, honestly one of my first friends that I ever had, And just to be on a trip with him and his family and see, like he has a he has a couple of little ones, Hudson who's four, and Grady who's one and a half, and Rue's three and Scottie is like eight months old. But just to have kids around that same agent, to see Hudson and Rue play around, and I was just kind of sit back and be like, buddy, we're we're thirty five now, we have kids and we've been like longtime friends and just to see our kids play together. It was dude, it was awesome. We stayed in the same Airbnb, we stayed in the same hotel room. It was it was a lot of fun.

00:18:47
Speaker 4: That's awesome.

00:18:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, it was cool. I recommend everybody to go to Canada. Their bagels are shitty, I will say, they're bagels need a lot of work.

00:18:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll say my time in Canada, I've never been like blown away by the food, except for Catchers Club. If you've been in Catches Club, they have and let us wraps best let us reps I've actually ever had in my life. Other than that, it's.

00:19:04
Speaker 1: Like, yeah, the Fairmount Hotel had incredible food. Yeah, But as far as it's it is so cool. Probably my favorite moment was like we were climbing up rocks and just sitting on a rock looking out of Lake Moraine. Could you pull a photo of Lake Moraine And it was just it was awesome.

00:19:21
Speaker 6: Rue.

00:19:21
Speaker 1: That was one of her few hikes to where she was having a great time on climbing on all the rocks, doing all the fun things. So it was like you had a moment of a little bit of peace. Yeah, because she didn't her legs, she'd go paralyzed at the beginning of the hike. Really, oh, legs don't work as she's walking. It's like, sweetheart, we can't carry you. The whole time there was one and it was hand up. It was my fault because I read a comment on Twitter from somebody that said, hey, hike the Mere Lake, kids can handle it. Great views, and he posted this photo and it was a beautiful mountain and it's just it's just the water just mirroring the mountain. It looked incredible. And we started hiking on going up to Mere Lake, which is right there around Lake Louis. Within ten minutes, legs are burning, hamstrings are burning. I got Scotty on my back and that hiking baby carrier backpack, and the elevation, the elevation was just steady right here the entire time. And I'm thinking this fucking guy saying that he's got like kids can handle it. They couldn't handle it. And then we get to Mere Lake and Mere Lake was cool, but it wasn't that photo. And then I go back because I wanted to respond to him to let him know, buddy, this is not the view that you showed me. And the kids did not hand This was a four mile hike two miles up hill. Yeah, it was brutal, brutal. And we got out there and I look back at Nick I kind of like look around. I'm like looking for this mere mountain lake, and shit, I see this, Like you know, it was solid lake. Like if it was just adults, if we were just hiking up and we went to the spot, we'd have a great time. But it's like you're trekking all all the kids. You got Grady in one carrier, Scott in another, Rue can't walk, Hudson's handle it well going on the way up, struggles on the way down, just chaos. And we get up to this lake and I look around. I look back at Nick, I go, what the hell is this? Hey just starts laughing. I was like, look, I'm gonna go back and pick up Rue because Charle was far back behind us because she's like walking through, right, Scottie, I'm sweating my fucking balls off. Put the carrier down, trek back down the hill a little bit, wrapper room. I'm like, hey, we're getting up here, and I'm like getting a beautful sweetheart. And she's like, it doesn't really look at the picture that you showed me. Charles said that, and I was like, I'm just gonna say this. This is my fault because I let this other. We're supposed to go out to Lake Moraine again and just enjoy like a little picnic, hike a little bit, yeah, and do all this stuff, but we were taking a shuttle, so we would have to take both uninstall both carriers out of the car, reinstall them in the shuttle, do the same thing on the way back. We're going for just two extra hours than doing this hike that my man said would be kids can handle it. It's only gonna be a few hours. It was a few hours, but it was fucking it was a battle God, and I pivoted us. I'm doing the Hey, let's just let's not do the shuttle so we don't have to mess with all the car seats and this will be quicker. We're here, this lake, Lake Louis is beautiful. We want to hike up the mountain little bit. Anyway. Somebody said, there's a mere lake up there. Looks awesome. Like, let's just let's scrap. Let's scrap the shuttle. I'll go in and try to get our money back from that, and then we'll hike up and do Mere Lake instead, and everybody was on board. And then by the time we got up there, got up there, we're sitting and we're feeding them. Then it starts raining.

00:22:25
Speaker 4: Everyone's thinking will.

00:22:28
Speaker 1: I felt. I felt like everybody's thinking this.

00:22:31
Speaker 4: And everyone's just standing like this. He made us walk four miles.

00:22:34
Speaker 1: And then it started raining on us, and it was raining the rest of the way down.

00:22:37
Speaker 4: Is that So when you're looking at the photo that buddy posted, could you see that on a clear day that could be the no?

00:22:43
Speaker 1: No, no no. I went Okay, So the spot where I said, I went back and wanted to reply to him and tell him, yeah, my disgruntleness on what he led me into. I go back to reply to him. He had another reply to me saying, that's awesome. It's gonna be great. By the way, I looked at the photo that photos from Lake Agnes, that was like another eight eight hundred meters or one thousand meters up the hill, So we would have had to go up even farther to see that, like.

00:23:07
Speaker 4: This, this hill has got how many lakes on it?

00:23:10
Speaker 5: Uh?

00:23:10
Speaker 1: That's the one Quinn was saying, like beehive t tree house or something t tree. But there's like three or four, I think spots that you can see scenic wise. Yeah, I mean it is beautiful out.

00:23:21
Speaker 4: It's a game changer, it really is.

00:23:23
Speaker 1: But that moment's one where I have to you know, I have to take that one on the shin. Yeah, I let us down the wrong path.

00:23:27
Speaker 4: That's your Was it your first time in Canada?

00:23:29
Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh, second time. I went to Vancouver for like twenty four hours once and the drive into Vancouver is just incredible, but we weren't like spending any time there.

00:23:37
Speaker 4: Vancouver, big place to see some Orcas.

00:23:40
Speaker 1: Big place right there. Yeah, seeing some work.

00:23:43
Speaker 4: That's easy as us just be oning. We want to make a blog of us saying Orcas, and I think everybody who listens to this show would get behind it.

00:23:49
Speaker 1: Buddy. I remember getting the first PHS set of Free Will and it came with a compass, and I kept that compass as long as I can remember. I ended up obviously losing it, but I love that compass. I wanted to be Jesse so badly, reaching his hand up, touching whale over the rocks, just.

00:24:06
Speaker 4: A sprinkle of sea water on your hands.

00:24:11
Speaker 1: Really, I love that idea. Do what go to where they filmed it?

00:24:17
Speaker 4: Where was that? Probably Washington? Yeah, by the way, just for your reference, that is the lettuce wraps incredible two sauces. Oh yeah, PF Changs. This place is this thing? Nuts on PF Changs. Dude, I'm just telling you speaking up. They're taking a bunch of shots in Canada right now. What's your thought on Canada now?

00:24:40
Speaker 1: Like seeing the place? Yeah, highly recommend, highly recommend, highly recommend to go out and see Canada. It was gorgeous.

00:24:46
Speaker 4: Get out there. So where you were BAMF is like in in the mountains where Tailing's from, is like down the mountains into a valley where you still have a bunch of mountain ridges and stuff like that, but it's much warmer. During the summertime, it's like very much like kind of always sunny. You'll get a couple of days of rain here and there, but it's like for the most part, sunny lakes everywhere. Like you there's just like one little hill, there's like two lakes that you over this hill and there's like a giant ass lake. You just go tuning, Go hook up a little sound system, tune around for a little bit.

00:25:16
Speaker 1: We're getting that. I was wondering if it's kind of like that, because I'm like, I don't even know if this is actually correct, But I remember thinking my head, like, I guess we are close to Seattle. You are not, oh my, why it's cloudy. You're not close to like you know, it's in the sixties or low seventies. In the suns out, it's great, you're shorts and t shirt. But when it's raining in the morning or later in the day, it is, it gets a little frigid.

00:25:38
Speaker 4: Yeah, you don't want that. But like Kloonna Lake Country, Vernon, it's.

00:25:43
Speaker 1: Not too far from Seattle. I mean, if you keep zooming out, it gets even closer.

00:25:49
Speaker 4: That is true.

00:25:50
Speaker 1: That is true.

00:25:51
Speaker 4: It looks real close there. Yeah, Like, but you're also past the state of Washington. Yeah, Seattle is on the far west side.

00:26:02
Speaker 1: But I'm thinking Northwest, known for their.

00:26:05
Speaker 4: Mean Like, we're right next to San Diego, so yeah, you're a six hour drive.

00:26:09
Speaker 8: Away technically as well, you're parallel.

00:26:12
Speaker 1: I know, probably get a lot of rain, I guess, But there's.

00:26:15
Speaker 4: A whole mountain range there body, and you get past the mountain range. That's how weather gets sucked up a little bit, but yeah, it's a beautiful spot to be at. Really. There left, that's where you want to be. Yeah, there and left. When you go right, it gets a little more plainsy, a little more cowboy, and then it gets real French.

00:26:36
Speaker 1: Dude. Also, this like when we were out in bamf Like every spot we went to, I felt like it was the most like international type spot that I've been at to where workers and everybody. You're hearing accents from Ireland, Australia, Middle Eastern, like a bunch of different types of people, all the different types of accents. So I felt like that was cool too.

00:26:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's awesome.

00:26:56
Speaker 1: I was running smores, he's from Australia, talk about why he ended up moving up to Canada and stuff. As he's talking about the history of the mountains and everything else, a lot of busting fans out there.

00:27:04
Speaker 7: Isn't that crazy?

00:27:05
Speaker 4: Yeah, one thing I keep hearing every time I go to Canada, I get stopped all the time. It's like, you guys need to ship to Canada. Yeah, a lot of people are wanting us to ship to Canada and.

00:27:13
Speaker 1: Be a g question. It looks like he's a little confused by that. Question. It seems like we might ship to Canada. I'll find out.

00:27:19
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, let's find out. Find out for the kids watching, because I got I'll be honest with you guys. Every time I go to Canada, people are like, I love this hat, I love this sugar. I'm like, dude, just tell me what you want. I'll get it for you. I'll just send it up, don't buy, I'll just send it to you. And then they send it to me and I'm.

00:27:33
Speaker 1: Like, all right, great.

00:27:34
Speaker 4: Then I come up again. I'm like, oh shit, I forgot. I'm actually going back. In a couple of weeks. I'll bring it back and I go back. We do the commercial. This happened last week. This is like two weeks ago. This happened. I'm back for a third time. They're like, they don't want to say anything. They know I don't have to think in my hands. I don't get them any of the merch. So we got it. There's there, there's a there's a fuck ton of people in Lake Country that are looking to sport some bust and merch or want.

00:28:00
Speaker 1: A big quantity of each.

00:28:03
Speaker 4: That's smart. Yeah, we'll do yard sale. Yeah, yard sale, we'll do yard sale in Canada. See how it works out. I love that.

00:28:11
Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a good time though, Bro, I love the kids. Like obviously you know how it is traveling with the kid. I was like, there's just it.

00:28:17
Speaker 4: Could be a war at times.

00:28:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, there's absolutely.

00:28:20
Speaker 4: It's a piece for you to sit there with your wife and you're like, man, the kids are going to appreciate that mom and dad took me when we were you know, in the summertime when we go here or there or whatever, we always take a trip. They're going to love that. Sometimes it sucks for the.

00:28:34
Speaker 1: Parents and being with the with Knicks family too, like them both being in the three four range and they're both in the you know, learning how to share. I want to press the elevator button.

00:28:44
Speaker 4: That's a guy rock.

00:28:48
Speaker 1: Real talking to Yeah, pull them aside. It'd be a whole ordeal.

00:28:52
Speaker 4: And it's also like if you can have the foresight to kind of just tell them to like, Okay, Rue is going to press the button first, next time we got on the other elevator, you're gonna press the button. Then this one's gonna press the butt out And they kind of know, so we know this turn is but the first time you get an elevator, you just see a bunch of magical buttons. They want to press them all they want which one screaming? It's a lot, dude, it's a lot to handle. It's a lot. Have you boys met Nikki Willie's boy?

00:29:20
Speaker 7: No, I don't have.

00:29:23
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was at the baseball Great dude, outstanding individual. That's all I have to say about that. That's literally, that's literally it.

00:29:33
Speaker 1: Do you want to, dude? I would I would love.

00:29:37
Speaker 4: To come on after that. I want to a little uh nineteen Madden.

00:29:45
Speaker 1: It's in the game.

00:29:50
Speaker 4: You got it?

00:29:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, because I'm assuming he wants me to read the highlighted one, the one that's blued over and you see it here behind me. Form Energy is a sponsor of the podca as. We do the work and these flavors. Look, I know we've talked about it before, but they are what you think they are. You see orange fury. It tastes like some orange soda. It is incredible.

00:30:40
Speaker 4: Yeah. If you just blue, just think of the flavor blue. It like packs upon Yeah. Yeah, if you love flavor, the fact that it's derived from green tea, the stuff is phenomenal, taste great, I love it. Yes, I'm a big fan, big fan of that. Dive into Madden Club, Madden Club, So I did see our friend the show, Lane Johnson ninety nine Club first time Oh Eagles the only team with two players that are in the ninety nine club Lane Johnson and Saquon Barkley. Officely Saquon, he gets on the mat and cover. But you know, the dude had an incredible year. They win the Super Bowl. Lane Johnson is an individual that respectfully, no one's gonna care. People who are just casual fans of the game are going to see that Lane Johnson is in the ninety nine club and be like, well, Trent Williams got a couple of year ago. I guess they're just letting offensive lemanon lane. Johnson is a staple of the Philadelphi Eagles. He's going to his twelfth season. They get twelve or thirteenth one.

00:31:33
Speaker 1: Of those while I'm thinking ninety nine. Club that late in the game like that is incredible.

00:31:38
Speaker 4: That's the thing with offensive lineman though, they kind of just age gracefully and the special ones keep it going at a high level for a long time. Lane is a dude that puts in the work. This guy was a quarterback in high school, went to Oklahoma as a tight end, ate himself into an offensive lineman, and then ran a four to seven at the combined. That's that's the kind of athlete we're talking about here, Boys and girls, just quiet visual who goes against guys like Von Miller, Micah Parsons, Joey Bosa and Nick Bosa, and they have Max kros Max Crosby, TJ. Watt goes against them, and the philadelphicaal say, well, as long if they're on lane, we have nothing to worry about. The peace of mind that that franchise has knowing that they're right in left tackle. Both of them, by the way they're left tackle is incredible to But you're talking about Lane like you can leave him alone all day long and it's gonna be He's gonna be able to handle his business. Make sure the quarterback is protected, and then pave paved lanes and.

00:32:32
Speaker 1: Paved lanes and lift heavy, fucking weight.

00:32:35
Speaker 4: Lift heavy. So I want to get that out of the way. Josh Allen and Jamar, Chase, Miles, Garrett, just Jeffers, all those guys.

00:32:44
Speaker 1: Can you bring up that list again? Bring that list against here?

00:32:50
Speaker 4: Why are you so mad about that?

00:32:52
Speaker 1: You got Josh Allen, Jamar Chase, Miles Garrett, Justin Jefferson, Lamar Jackson Lane. Johnson Lane is definitely the most surprising on then.

00:33:01
Speaker 4: But he's also he's a guy that just quietly is elite every single year.

00:33:07
Speaker 1: Is it a troll that Mahomes is not in the ninety nine.

00:33:10
Speaker 6: Club or Joey b Yeah, I think based off of Broro, that's tough because he had an awesome year last year. But mahomes year last year probably wasn't ninety nine worthy.

00:33:21
Speaker 7: Even though they made the Super Bowl. But like his stats.

00:33:24
Speaker 4: Weren't that's a fair statement. Like the other Yeah, his stats weren't weren't the best.

00:33:27
Speaker 1: Joey b would be a great argument. Yes, he was running for MVP. Have you watched Insane had an insane year?

00:33:34
Speaker 4: Have you watched Quarterback on Netflix?

00:33:36
Speaker 1: I've saw what I've gotten through the first episode.

00:33:38
Speaker 4: Okay, you go watch a few more of those episodes and you'll just see Jamar Chase go crazy twenty four to seven. And then how they speak about Jamar Chase. How you know they talk about the relationship of Joe Burrow and Jamar when they're at LSU. Now they get to play together, but literally, anytime Joe Burrow is in a pinch, she's like take it, Jamar, and Jamar just goes for sixty. And it's it's very impressive to watch as your rewatching this season because a lot of times there's so many games on you don't catch all of the games to rewatch Joe Burrow getting a motor where he's like, I'll just give it to Jamar and watching wash Redos that there was a small little screen out there. That guy is incredible, Yeah, incredible.

00:34:14
Speaker 2: The thing that surprised me was that this is the first Vikings wide receiver for Justin Jefferson. He's the first Vikings wide receiver to be a ninety nine overall. I'm like, how was Randy Moss never a ninety nine over right?

00:34:26
Speaker 1: I feel like they didn't really give out ninety I was going to say the same thing, only created player, like you create yourself.

00:34:31
Speaker 2: I feel like, yeah, back then, it was probably like one or two guys, But yeah, how is Randy not one of yeah guys.

00:34:38
Speaker 4: I feel like that's definitely become a thing in the last few years where they're making a big deal out of the ninety nine club. Yeah, where guys would in the past would be like there'd be like one guy in the whole NFL that was a ninety nine and everybody else was in ninety eight or in ninety seven.

00:34:50
Speaker 1: I was always in ninety nine.

00:34:51
Speaker 4: Where you got your I got your mad at ratings right sixteen Will Compton on the Redskins seventy.

00:35:00
Speaker 1: That's a good fun that's a good rookie score.

00:35:02
Speaker 4: It's a good rookie score.

00:35:03
Speaker 1: Because previous man's I don't know why all my mad and like that's five seasons. We obviously know, you know, we know the lore yeah, but I always thought I was in the sixties, so this is uh, this is actually fun to see seventy five in twenty eighteen.

00:35:14
Speaker 4: They say the biggest jumping when year two and you were three in the NFL, and you definitely made a five point jump.

00:35:19
Speaker 1: That wasn't dude, that's a year five and six.

00:35:22
Speaker 4: Oh ship, that's right, that's right speed. You got faster too, got faster.

00:35:28
Speaker 1: People checking myselves for media, they could see you.

00:35:31
Speaker 4: Yeah, four six, four six on a four or five.

00:35:35
Speaker 1: Tell me four five six.

00:35:37
Speaker 4: No, I'm talking about at the combine. We did it at the Super Bowl four nine. That was a four nine. Oh yeah, yeah, that's fair.

00:35:46
Speaker 6: One of the best Madden arguments of all time was when we were heard in it right before we interviewed Donald Trump, and Delaney was talking about then.

00:35:53
Speaker 7: He said he was ninety nine or.

00:35:55
Speaker 1: Said something crazy.

00:35:57
Speaker 4: Okay, I feel like there's like cards or something you can get. We're cause I'll get taging things. But I got a ninety nine to one. I'm like, I've never right been ultimate team dude.

00:36:05
Speaker 1: I feel like you got disrespected.

00:36:08
Speaker 4: Every time I see my rankings, I'm like, what the fuck happened here?

00:36:12
Speaker 1: Eighty, seventy nine, eighty one, eighty three, eighty eight, eighty five, eighty one, eighty four, eighty five, eighty one.

00:36:17
Speaker 4: Oh no, nineties, disrespect nineties. I think like.

00:36:24
Speaker 1: You ain't in the nineties.

00:36:25
Speaker 4: Isn't that crazy? Yeah, that's you.

00:36:29
Speaker 2: They got you. I mean, you're pretty quick right there, for for a left tackle. That's fast for an offensive lineman.

00:36:34
Speaker 4: But I ran a four to eight though.

00:36:36
Speaker 2: No for I hear you. But I'm just saying, like.

00:36:38
Speaker 4: Like, give me an eighty for seventy eight.

00:36:41
Speaker 2: What are you going to do? Like, why does a left tackle need to have that kind of speed?

00:36:44
Speaker 4: Because are we trying to make the game like the player?

00:36:46
Speaker 5: Okay, because you want to run left fair point.

00:36:50
Speaker 1: And if he becomes an eligible receiver.

00:36:52
Speaker 4: Right, that's which.

00:36:54
Speaker 2: That you can do that for sure with a seventy five speed.

00:36:59
Speaker 1: I mean, and I will say this for big braind Mitchie back there. He is. He is. He's detailed with all the with all the video games.

00:37:06
Speaker 4: Yeah, I know you're you're begging to he's actually saying seventy five is a great.

00:37:11
Speaker 2: I actually just won the national championship with Delaware.

00:37:13
Speaker 4: Oh congrats, nice nice wow.

00:37:16
Speaker 1: Fo twenty six.

00:37:19
Speaker 2: Probably. I mean, I I just this morning when I got in early. I feelmed myself playing the game and myself like the TV and myself playing. So I'm gonna tweet it out and hopefully I can get a part of that like VIP.

00:37:31
Speaker 4: Experience for Yeah, we need that, we need that for you, Mitchie.

00:37:34
Speaker 2: I grew up going to Delaware game so it's kind of cool.

00:37:38
Speaker 1: Take it home.

00:37:39
Speaker 4: Cool helmets, great, great helmets.

00:37:43
Speaker 1: Did you play Man a lot when you were younger?

00:37:44
Speaker 4: No? No, I really I really did.

00:37:47
Speaker 1: I really didn't.

00:37:48
Speaker 4: I really didn't.

00:37:49
Speaker 1: I always created a black guy. I'm back to I beg Tyrell, Tyrone Smith, Jamal Jerome Lewis Smith. Oh yeah, bro, I had dreads. I was spa I was.

00:38:00
Speaker 7: I just made myself black.

00:38:03
Speaker 4: Yeah, just fucking there were dreads.

00:38:06
Speaker 1: No, my cat was nasty.

00:38:08
Speaker 4: I was always begging to the Road to Glory on n c A. I thought that was so much fun. And I was for the most part black for the most part. Every once in a while, though, I'd be pale pale. Yeah. Yeah, but dude, I'm stoked for Lane Johnson. That's awesome. Why is Trent Williams not again?

00:38:28
Speaker 6: There's a lot of snubs, dude, a lot of snub Truman had some injuries last year too.

00:38:34
Speaker 4: He had a couple of things going down.

00:38:35
Speaker 1: But he's still But it's like, if you're ninety eight, are you snubbed?

00:38:38
Speaker 5: Right?

00:38:38
Speaker 1: When Randy in ninety six ninety five, we did.

00:38:43
Speaker 4: We did leads over it, though, but I did get disrespected to mat and I appreciate you saying that. Yeah, every time I saw my rankings, all the boys would be like, going off day, you've got a trash in this game, third best player on our team in the game.

00:38:56
Speaker 1: We talked about looking down the locker room and almost every boys gave me in the.

00:39:00
Speaker 4: Game out there. I know, I always felt a little something.

00:39:04
Speaker 6: Derrick Henry, he's only had one ninety nine rating, which is kind of surprising. Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson after their record breaking years. So Randy Moss, he broke the receiving record in two thousand and seven. The following year, he didn't get the ninety nine. Calvin Johnson after he broke the receiving yards record, he wasn't ninety nine.

00:39:23
Speaker 1: Well was he ninety eight?

00:39:25
Speaker 6: Ninety?

00:39:26
Speaker 7: Yeah, like ninety seven or ninety eight.

00:39:28
Speaker 1: It's really a lot more recent where they've been. Yeah.

00:39:30
Speaker 4: Yeah, nine club, the ninety nine club has become a much bigger deal were they're actually making an event out of it that do guys chains and shoes and all these different things.

00:39:38
Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, he's been doing they've been they've been playing a heady game.

00:39:41
Speaker 4: Yeah, they've been doing a good Yeah. Because people want to get into it.

00:39:43
Speaker 6: Yeah, Well, did y'all have any teammates that were always dialed into the Madden ratings?

00:39:48
Speaker 4: Anybody's always the dbs. Yeah, but the DB's were always like on the game.

00:39:52
Speaker 1: We had a league when I was on Washington. There's probably eight of us that played in the Madden League season.

00:39:57
Speaker 6: Yeah, they say London Fletcher. He he's kind of a snub over the courts of his career for never getting I guess his highest rating was like a ninety two, but like according to his stats, he's a oh.

00:40:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's all. He's somebody who's argued about the Hall of Fame and every time it comes around, he.

00:40:13
Speaker 2: Like one of the all time leading tacklers in the NFL.

00:40:16
Speaker 1: Yeah, is over two thousand the longest careers for a linebacker.

00:40:19
Speaker 7: Two hundred and fifty six consecutive games.

00:40:21
Speaker 1: Yeah, the iron man, London Fletcher, undrafted, came from a D three.

00:40:26
Speaker 2: I believe he went to I want to say, I don't. It's not Mount Union, but it's I did go to a really small school.

00:40:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, and it was for basketball at first. This decided to.

00:40:38
Speaker 4: Put a helmet on, get after it your career.

00:40:42
Speaker 1: I don't know, three three hundred something three maybe in the three fifties. Yeah. Two thousand, bro, that is insane. There's not many guys who have two thousand tackles in their career. I thought like a thousand was like, oh no, a thousand is insane, but two thousand is fucking.

00:41:05
Speaker 4: How many years did you play? Sixteen?

00:41:07
Speaker 1: Yeah? I think London played sixteen seventeen.

00:41:09
Speaker 4: Is every time we would talk about your days in Washington, you'd always bring up Fletch and like, yeah, look at him, like he was a guy who I can't believe he's still doing it.

00:41:15
Speaker 1: Yeah. Like my rookie my first year on PEA squad was his last year. And when I got acted the very last game, I just one of my like sick ass moments is like I got to back up London Fletcher in the last game of his career.

00:41:27
Speaker 4: Did you ask for a jersey?

00:41:29
Speaker 1: No? But I asked for a photo, did you. Yeah, that's a little photo where thick boy got the little chicklets in my mouth hit one of those. No, no, no, dang.

00:41:39
Speaker 6: The only person that has more tackles than him. They didn't start keeping the stats until two thousand and one, but it's Ray Lewis. Ray Lewis had twenty fifty nine. Fletcher had two thousand and thirty nine.

00:41:51
Speaker 1: Because Ray played for I think Ray played seventeen years.

00:41:53
Speaker 6: And they're both almost over two hundred tackles more than the next people. Junior stay out, Derek Brooks, Donnie Edwards, Bobby Wagner.

00:42:01
Speaker 1: Where's Bobby at?

00:42:02
Speaker 7: He has seventeen hundred right think of the career. Bobby said he probably has more now after like a thousand is.

00:42:09
Speaker 1: A big deal. Fifteen hundred is a massive deal. And he's been he's somebody who's going to be a Hall of Famer and he's he might not hit two thousand.

00:42:16
Speaker 4: How many Pro Bowls did London Fletcher make?

00:42:20
Speaker 1: He was never all pro I think, let's see, I think he was somebody kind of like, I mean, not Levante level. But somebody who would get snubbed a lot.

00:42:29
Speaker 4: Damn. I want to go to a guy's mind like that when he when you're getting snubbed for that many years and there's just like a younger cat who has like a better year that year, but that might not be better totality of career.

00:42:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, a four time Pro bowler, Yeah, that's to be tough. Sixteen year career that is arguably a Hall of Fame career that people debate year in and year out of every time it come.

00:42:49
Speaker 4: Has to make it, but I want to he'll, he'll.

00:42:51
Speaker 1: He'll be in the same spot because he's only got one Pro Bowl.

00:42:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, But knowing Levante's personality, how do you think he's handling not making a Pro Bowl every year?

00:42:59
Speaker 2: Oh?

00:43:00
Speaker 1: I don't think he. I don't think he thinks too much about it, Like he might think about it, but he doesn't. Levante is just bro. He's just an authentic He wants to play ball, humble, loves it. Yeah, just like that very kind of quiet but gets after.

00:43:15
Speaker 4: It that juices me out.

00:43:16
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because he's still I mean, yeah, he's still kicking. I think he's going in a year as thirteen twelve sixteen tackles. Crazy, Oh that's combined.

00:43:31
Speaker 2: Are you looking at solo or combined?

00:43:33
Speaker 1: Yeah? You go like with all these numbers, you go off the combined, which is so insane.

00:43:38
Speaker 4: That is crazy, that's insane. London eleven, Dude, I knew he was gonna be a star.

00:43:44
Speaker 1: I knew.

00:43:45
Speaker 4: Yeah, buddy, he got like thirty tackles twenty seven we got seven.

00:43:50
Speaker 6: London Fletcher should have played one more game because he and Derek Brooks are tied for most consecutive games played at two fifty six.

00:43:57
Speaker 4: Wait what happened?

00:43:58
Speaker 6: Derek Brooks and London Fletcher are for most consecutive games played as linebackers at two fifty six.

00:44:04
Speaker 7: You gotta get one more in.

00:44:06
Speaker 1: He couldn't. Bro Like, even watching him throughout that last year was just like a hard year because he's just he's older, Like he'd have to warm up forever. We joke with him, like when we're out during the stretch he gets a WD forty on for practice. He come out maybe on Thursdays.

00:44:21
Speaker 6: But dang and but Derek Brooks, Yeah that includes postseason for him.

00:44:27
Speaker 4: Penalties and discipline shrim typed in chat GPT, Like why wasn't Taylor rated higher and mad Taylor Lewe wasn't rated higher.

00:44:34
Speaker 1: Than eighty eight and Madden for a few key reasons despite his Pro Bowl status, and most of them come down to how madd evaluates Lineman, his playing style and contextual factors. Oh, the contextual factors penalties and discipline. Madden likely downgraded his awareness or discipline related traits.

00:44:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, the one had a reputation for penalties. That's tough.

00:45:00
Speaker 1: Limited dominance metrics. What the dominant metrics?

00:45:05
Speaker 4: I'm thinking a lot l's on this podcast today, Man, all my boys.

00:45:09
Speaker 1: Oh, there were a few more traits, but terms not you must not want.

00:45:17
Speaker 4: I want to get out.

00:45:19
Speaker 1: We're really breaking this down. Yeah, you guys. Just to switch topics, you guys had a little pool party.

00:45:25
Speaker 4: Yeah, summer bash man, because we we talked about what May boys like. Right around May. I was like, hey, Son's coming out starting to.

00:45:33
Speaker 7: Get warmer, like we've been talking about it for years.

00:45:35
Speaker 4: Yeah, we really have about getting all the boys over for a pool party. When I got back last week, I think Tuesday or Wednesday, Jared was like, I guess we're not doing that pool party thing.

00:45:46
Speaker 1: You go to the events we have like beer Olympics and it's like, yeah the spot. Yeah, not doing a.

00:45:52
Speaker 4: Pool party, no doubt. And it really was just my brain. I just I said, hey, we we should do this eventually, and I I forget, just move on about my business. So when Aaron said that, I was like, yeah, we really got to do it. So I went home that day talked to Jason. I was like, here's the deal. I'd love to have the boys over on Friday. They don't like, we don't need to have like steaks and all this like offensive line dinner type thing, but like would you make burgers and brats? And I was like, I don't need anything else. I'll just order some some pizzas as well, and he's like, no, I'll handle it. I'm like, you don't have to go all audios. I'll handle it. He handled it. He fucking handled ribs, dude. And I think I told you he talked about it well on Thursday. I think so, because I texted the group and I'm like, hey, you guys want to do that the party tomorrow and then JP responded fast. So on my JP tell everybody to respond so I know who's coming, who's not coming, and it actually ended up working out great. Man.

00:46:42
Speaker 1: They went there and I was looking at it and I was like, buddy, you're in Canada, look outside and enjoy the views for the family vacation because it's like it's a camaraderie build.

00:46:53
Speaker 4: We could just do it again this Friday game maychat. Hey, that was a great game.

00:46:59
Speaker 2: Shout out the game of the pool game tea if you've never heard of it. It's a pretty simple game. But I didn't realize how long it was going to take, dud.

00:47:07
Speaker 4: It took forever. But before before you explained, let me just finish where Jason had smash burgers, hot dogs, bronze brisket and ribs, and he went all the fixings everything we needed, coy okay, chef Jack.

00:47:28
Speaker 7: And then cramped up.

00:47:32
Speaker 4: Yeah, we were sitting out there after a six hour game of tea. Tailor walks in the in our kitchen areas. She's like, I heard someone was having like heat stroke out there. I'm like, what the fuck is going on? I walk out. Chef's just like down like this. He apparently caught a cramp in the deep end there.

00:47:47
Speaker 1: Oh buddy, we were staying by cramp in the pool.

00:47:51
Speaker 4: It was the thing where they hold the ball and they land on their back of the ball there, so I don't even know what's going on. I see Chef jump and he like just with his back into the water and the ball kind of dribbles off to the side. I'm like, what the fuck's he doing? And then he gets like pulled up and he's like grabbing. It's like his leg looked so disconfigured. I literally thought, I was like, this motherfucker just snapped his leg in my pool. I thought we were and then he's like, it's a cramp.

00:48:13
Speaker 7: Yeah, the legs right now.

00:48:14
Speaker 6: He's like, JP grabbed me because I was in the water and I grabbed him, and he just yanks me under and just something push him from below the water.

00:48:22
Speaker 1: When you catch a calf cramp in the pool, yeah, it was.

00:48:26
Speaker 2: I had to be there like stretching his calf out and everything, and.

00:48:28
Speaker 7: He grab it.

00:48:30
Speaker 2: I would let go, it would immediately cramp up again.

00:48:33
Speaker 4: It was like gnarly looking. I went over like like got an actual jar of pickles, took all the juice, gave it to him, and then he goes and sits down to my in my living room, and I walked in. I'm noticing he's still wearing those wet shorts and that's inside living room furniture. Isn't it you dry? And he's like, what was nothing?

00:48:54
Speaker 10: Nothing?

00:48:54
Speaker 4: Nothing? He got up. It was wet, It was wet, but it all gots a. The driving was fine, It was totally fine. I was worried about chlorine, but it was. It was a good time. Yeah, this game.

00:49:05
Speaker 2: Shout out to yah so Tea, Well, you would love this game.

00:49:07
Speaker 4: But it is a blast.

00:49:09
Speaker 2: You put you get a golf tea. It's super simple. You just put the tea at the bottom of the pool and then it floats up and then as soon as like you think you can jump in and grab it, you have to yell tea, you jump. You have to like catch it. And then if you catch it, like that rounds over. You're officially safe. And now everybody left has to go and do the same thing. So when it gets down to like the final two or three, it's like you're pushing and like shoving and stuff, and like if you if you get jump in the water, you miss the tea. You can't just grab it while you're in the water. You have to get out and re jump in, but like the people who didn't jump in like can like get it, go in and get it.

00:49:43
Speaker 6: There's all the splashing and like bubbles around. Even with first person misses, everybody has lost the tea. Yeah, so then you're trying to find it.

00:49:50
Speaker 4: And then it'll like pop up like right next to somebody and just go, teap, go and grab it. But like Cad would fall like a water buffalo. Bro every time when somebody guy and splashed that, they would go everywhere and You're just like, what the fuck.

00:50:02
Speaker 1: When you yell tea, is that everybody kind of stops to see if you grab it.

00:50:05
Speaker 2: No, you can, like three people can jump in, and once.

00:50:07
Speaker 4: Jacket Jack and I jumped at the same time one time. We both like kind of rolled as we were trying to do it, but we like hit.

00:50:13
Speaker 2: We like hit in the air Taylor. Taylor's pushing me as I'm trying to go.

00:50:17
Speaker 4: And dude, I will say I was so when.

00:50:21
Speaker 1: We would get on.

00:50:22
Speaker 4: When we would get like towards the deep end, Mitch was legit. Mitch was like laying out like your way out, and he'd be like tea dive and be fully extended. I'm like, hey, no, fucking way he grabs that. He would snipe that thing. So that's the point I'm thinking, like, okay, if I want to make it to the final away, Yeah, I was like, I got to figure out a way to get Mitch out of there. So Mitch would yell TEA and I would literally give him a push as he was jumping. His body would go sideways. Bro, his body goes always, and he'd still reach out and get the damn te It was. It was one of the more impressive things I've ever seen. The way you were acting was a little crazy.

00:50:59
Speaker 2: I was feeling confident because he was talking confidence. What do I like, had played the game a lot before, and like you're an athlete, no introduce the game, So like I have played and know how like when and where to grab it and stuff, So like I do, I will say I had a level up. I did not make it to the finals. I did not win. Ryan knocked me out, but we should we should run it back.

00:51:20
Speaker 4: For we got to run back.

00:51:27
Speaker 7: Who oh yeah. He won the first one best of three, the finals of best.

00:51:33
Speaker 4: Of three, and the first one I didn't even see her min go. Steve just grabbed it, no problem, like I gotta I gotta get. This was low key nice you know who was kind of saucy. It never like didn't really make it like the final four was Jack.

00:51:45
Speaker 10: Jack came in with that outside.

00:51:47
Speaker 4: He was just you know with that girl like he they came over and they're like sitting Jack's like sipping on a beer, talking her up. And then like when the pack would get weeded down a little bit, he like walk up and goes grab that thing, go put the tea back up and go lean back, sit.

00:52:02
Speaker 7: Back with their hangout lights. This dude's kind of doing this thing right now, what light skin?

00:52:07
Speaker 9: Ye?

00:52:08
Speaker 4: Yeah, for real, it was.

00:52:10
Speaker 9: It was fun, awesome game. He does, you need to carve out about an hour, hour and a half one game because we had probably twelve dudes start and then by the end of it, Yeah, you're like tired at four thirty.

00:52:21
Speaker 4: And then we try to play Categories after and at that point we're kind of like Jared's the only one.

00:52:27
Speaker 6: Jared the Jar said Austin around play this dumbass game for three hours. Now we stop after four four games of categories.

00:52:35
Speaker 4: Categories was crazy, and I understand why I try to go with the pool.

00:52:40
Speaker 7: Like it's too.

00:52:41
Speaker 4: It's yeah along way you.

00:52:43
Speaker 1: Know, Jared. Jared probably likes to play the game where you're just you cradle somebody and you just guessed the collar.

00:52:48
Speaker 9: You don't get right, you dunk him, he asked. He asked to do that?

00:52:52
Speaker 5: Is blue.

00:52:54
Speaker 4: Shut the fun game?

00:52:57
Speaker 10: Yeah, it's categories with with two and once you get the crack one you just get flipped over. But he was like, hey, he goes hold me, man, he goes dunk me until I get it right. And Kate like, shut up.

00:53:08
Speaker 9: That's so funny.

00:53:10
Speaker 1: No ship.

00:53:11
Speaker 4: Yeah, but like Clumb brought his kids and wife. Who else, Mitch, you brought your girlfriend, Jerybody's girlfriend.

00:53:21
Speaker 7: We did have a will there. Will you're uh the landscape?

00:53:26
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, Willie he was will We were we were We pulled up and he was out there just pulling. I was like, bro, we're gonna have like some people or you can just come up whenever you're done, and he came over. Played for a little bit. I'll tell you what you would have hated. In the beginning, I had to pull basketball set up and I was kind of just hanging out, and then Mitch and I had to put our hands on a couple of people.

00:53:46
Speaker 1: I wouldn't have hated that, Like, you guys want to play pull basketball, play it's just you know it. Like I'm just saying, like the rage of pull basketball goes just beyond boundaries that you can't comprehend.

00:53:58
Speaker 7: Caught an elbow from that, like within the first three minutes of playing.

00:54:02
Speaker 2: Matt was also talking crazy all day.

00:54:04
Speaker 4: No, yeah, Matt was being mad.

00:54:06
Speaker 2: He lost so many a points throughout the entire day.

00:54:10
Speaker 7: Dude, that one more thing on Jared. He was like, He's like, I just want to let you know.

00:54:14
Speaker 6: JP like, I don't do this, and I do agree fully with your take, but every time I jump into the pool or lake, like, dude, my nose hurts so bad. He's like, I don't plug it. But yeah, I was like, well you gotta blow out. He's like, bro, I just don't know how to do it. Like I promise I don't plug my nose, but it was so funny he doesn't. He doesn't plug it, but I'm like just letting it go up.

00:54:33
Speaker 4: If I want my back under water, if I like go upside down, I gotta plug. It just shoots up there, gets in my brain and it hurts too. Bad. No, No, I don't three blind mice, dude, I'm just out there feeling around. No, dude, I already got bad eyes.

00:54:51
Speaker 1: I'll be in there eyes and my eyes will just be beat red. Contacts in just looking on the crazy.

00:54:57
Speaker 10: I don't even wear contacts. When I left Taylor, like the whole ride home, I'm just like, dude.

00:55:03
Speaker 4: We were out there for four hours. Five hours had to be had to be.

00:55:09
Speaker 2: I didn't.

00:55:10
Speaker 4: I was just lum.

00:55:13
Speaker 7: The usually I do.

00:55:14
Speaker 4: But I did not that we might have to running back this weekend. All right, all right, it was a good time man. And the pool basketball match, like we dominated.

00:55:27
Speaker 1: That's like it's a if that's a two on two. That's kind of like an unfair match.

00:55:30
Speaker 2: We did play Chef and Matt, so like the teams were a bit yeah.

00:55:34
Speaker 4: But I feel like because it's like I will take whoever. Because you guys were playing for a minute and so I was like, I'll get a game in. But I was like, I just want you guys to know, like I play this game for keeps. I played for real. And then the Chef and uh Coop's boy Ryan, they were kind of talking a little crazy. I looked at Ryan, before I go, I apologize for what's about to happen to you. And then we went five O on them.

00:55:56
Speaker 1: It's like it's pull basketball starts as like this gentleman's game. You try to feel out, but the minute gets physical down load, that's where the entire game goes. I'm calling fowls out there that don't count ball back out.

00:56:11
Speaker 7: I was watching them playing. I'm like, no part of me wants to be involved, no part.

00:56:14
Speaker 4: It's so fun, dude, Yeah, seven, it's so fun. Yeah, it's a pool. Tears your feet up though. I put some aqua socks onto something. Yeah, Friday this we'll have a little aquasocks.

00:56:31
Speaker 1: Around out there.

00:56:32
Speaker 4: Some little toe I got a pair of those. They're awesome, multiple awesome grip on the ground. Yeah, you kind of more mobile that way. My kids too. When when and her friend Mackenzie, who was like a neighbor girl they like, came over and they were doing the te thing where they put the tea at the bottom. The first time when played little trick on us where she put the tea at the bottom or faked put it down and held it and kept them swimming back over to me, and you see I'm like, I like save.

00:56:58
Speaker 1: For the next route.

00:56:59
Speaker 4: There was like eight guys like looking like yeah, I don't see it, and then one just like hold it up. And then I was like, once you went that again, like she did just six more times, letting you guys know.

00:57:08
Speaker 1: Sure you made it out there with the fam. I made it out there with the boys. Got to meet Scarlett.

00:57:13
Speaker 8: They got to meet scar scar We're up out there very briefly, but I had so much fun. I was actually really glad that everybody got to meet Scarlet.

00:57:21
Speaker 1: That was fun. It's a good time.

00:57:24
Speaker 8: She's tiny, baby, JP goes, she's not real.

00:57:28
Speaker 5: Yeah.

00:57:28
Speaker 6: Her fingers like looked way more like normal people's fingers than baby's fingers. Yeah, yeah, but tiny. I'm just like because they're they're long and thin. I was like, oh my gosh, I've never seen a baby like this. She's Yeah, she was comfortable. She was comfortable, yeah a little bit.

00:57:46
Speaker 8: I told the story on for the Dads this week as well, so more detailed there. But Jill double packed formula for your swim party all in one container and forgot about that and dumped it all into a bottle. When I texted you that we're feeding Scarlet and your driveway. So she got the equivalent of like three time feed and dude, it came out later that night like in the diaper. It was nuts out. Yeah, it was bad, all right.

00:58:18
Speaker 4: We know up this episode to bring you Neutral. Have you tried Neutral? If not, you're missing out. Neutral is so much better than any other seltzer I have personally ever tried. It's made with real vodka and real juice, and that's what makes it delicious. Neutral comes in a variety of flavors. Personally a pineapple and lime guy, but there's a whole bunch out there you can go ahead and try. Neutral is perfect, the perfect drink to bring when you're hanging out with friends and trust me, boys, it is such a cut cry pleaser. Neutral. Let's keep it tasty. Let's keep it tasty. Back to the other but we did have a conversation as you were leaving. We did about Happy Gilmour. I hadn't seen it yet, but I was very excited about the opportunity.

00:58:56
Speaker 1: I haven't got to watch you. I've been seeing everybody's takes out there.

00:58:59
Speaker 4: Yeah, and I want to who has seen it? Okay?

00:59:03
Speaker 7: JP, that's surprising, is at a wedding this weekend.

00:59:08
Speaker 4: I'd love to hear your guys' takes. I can give mine, but I want to hear what you guys have to say as well.

00:59:13
Speaker 10: I watched original Havy Go before just because I'm like, you know, they're gonna do a bunch of nods and little callbacks, and I f like in the second one they did a good job.

00:59:21
Speaker 9: It felt like an ode to the first movie.

00:59:24
Speaker 10: I've seen the positive comments, I've seen the negative ones.

00:59:27
Speaker 9: I'm on the side. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

00:59:29
Speaker 10: Yeah, there was moments in it and certain storylines that people are like, this was a stretch, and I'm sure the people who've seen it know, like how the movie begins and like how the whole just storyline is set up pretty ridiculous. But I mean there's so many cameos. It's like the top ten twenty best golfers in the entire world, five of them are like actual characters in the movie. It was funny, Like I don't know, probably an hour hour, twenty minutes in, I was like, damn, I was like, we've interview at least four people in this movie so far.

01:00:02
Speaker 9: On Busting, I was like, that's kind of cool. Yeah, but I had so many good laughs.

01:00:05
Speaker 10: They did a good job like painting back to certain characters in the old movies. The thing is, though I had such low expectations for this movie, when like a generational film like Happy Gilmour transpires thirty years.

01:00:17
Speaker 9: Later, they make us equal. Obviously, that is never going to live up to what the original was.

01:00:22
Speaker 10: I think they did a good job shifting the storyline, having fun with it being stupid dad humor at points, like it was a two hour movie, which I enjoyed the length of it. But yeah, I mean I there was no part of me that was ever gonna dislike the movie, Like I would have been disappointed maybe if it was just like boring. But I thought the cameos were good. I thought there was just like fun laughs and it was exactly what I was expecting it to be.

01:00:47
Speaker 9: But I want to hear, did you enjoy it or not enjoy it?

01:00:50
Speaker 10: I really liked it, Okay, cool because I went to the lake this week with my family and one of my dad's friends was there and he's like fifty five. Me and my brother in law been talking about it. He said, Dad, He's like, y'all y'all see uh, because you'll see that Happy Madison too yet. And I'm like, it's Happy Gilmore you fucking.

01:01:08
Speaker 9: I'm kidding. But he started shitting on it and I'm just keep my mouth shut.

01:01:12
Speaker 4: I'm like, this is crazy.

01:01:14
Speaker 7: He doesn't get it.

01:01:15
Speaker 4: I think that's people that have unrealistic expectations.

01:01:19
Speaker 9: Yeah, when you need too many cameos. I'm like, dude, what, that's what that movie.

01:01:23
Speaker 4: Is going to be exactly exactly. I So, I don't know. I think it was. Jordan Schultz texted me and he's like, this is before he put out his take about how bad the movie was. He's like, what did you think about the movie? And I was like, I'm only because I watched like half of it and then I had to go. I was so exhausted. It was Friday night and then Saturday we finished it, and I was like, dude, I think it's really good because I have I We're not even putting it near Happy Gilmore one. Happy gil Moore one is its own entity. And I hope to God and Adam sending there figures out a way to make all his classics before he retires and it's all over. But he was mad. I don't know how to get around this without giving spoilers with JP and Will, but the beginning, just in the beginning that changes his entire life.

01:02:07
Speaker 9: He is absurd.

01:02:08
Speaker 4: But I think with listen, this is this is what I looked into it. That movie came out in nineteen ninety six, Happy g Adam Sandler got married in two thousand and three, so I think that has to do a big plot with it with a having that type of relationship in a movie. And also all of his kids are in that movie. Yeah, and tell me you didn't get teared up when his daughter looks at him and she's like, you remind me a lot of my dad. Yeah, and you're like, that's real. Even though that is right, you know what I'm saying. I love the cameos. I thought Travis did a great job. I thought I thought you didn't. I thought John Daily did a great job. Awesome is it bad? Bunny Game? Incredible? He was really he was a great actor, dude. And it wasn't even a Kimber. He had a full blown role in that movie.

01:02:57
Speaker 2: I thought his little cousin Marcela he was funny.

01:02:59
Speaker 4: Due he was great too, and he does a great job in SNL, Like, yeah.

01:03:03
Speaker 11: Overall, it's so much fun. They play into so many like Jack said, so many fun storylines. They even play into like internet lore of just like golf. I thought the way it ends, like the back half of the movie is so ridiculous, but I thought it was so funny.

01:03:20
Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought the last twenty five minutes I was gonna say, that's where it kind of like if the whole movie was like that, I could have sat on the other side of the fence, right because I thought they did a great job of like this is why he quit, this is why he came back, look at it. Oh he does this, Oh he has a fall off, all that he They did a great job with that. And then it's like we had to go and play this game for golf, and then like that game is like ten minutes long. I want to see the suspense of everything because the first happy Gilmer when he's playing again Stootter McGavin, which, by the way, Shooter McGavin, maybe the dynamic the dynamic of that was increasing in.

01:03:52
Speaker 1: The video too, where he gave him the the jacket. Is that in the movie or was that Like, no, that's just that's set. They gave him the gold jacket to wear.

01:03:59
Speaker 4: Yeah, but like it does a great job of getting you to the point of like art, but have this face off, no like seven holes and it's just so fast paced and you're kind of like, which you kind of get lost. I don't like that. I was kind of hoping for a little more drawn up Maybe he has another struggle. He goes back to his happy place type of thing, like he tried and he went back to his angry place. But I thought it was another part.

01:04:20
Speaker 9: I enjoyed it.

01:04:21
Speaker 11: I really liked about it. Is the director as uh, the director and one of the guys from Workaholics come.

01:04:27
Speaker 2: To a check.

01:04:28
Speaker 11: So if that gives you any insights to like humor that's in the in the movie.

01:04:33
Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought I thought the humor was solid.

01:04:34
Speaker 11: I thought it was exactly what it needed to be for an Adam Sandler remake.

01:04:40
Speaker 5: That.

01:04:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't feel like I can not like it because you're just you just wanted to see the guys get uh. I was gonna say happy Goal more than I was gonna say Billy Medison. But Adam Sandler house puts in all of his boys. He puts all of his boys in his movies. I was talking about he as like writers or people he's worked with in the past, how he's just kind of put them in the movie. All the cameos. I just love. I just love how Adam Sandlor operates with his production company, Happy Madison Productions, and everybody you see comments where it's like, hey, he's he's one of the good guys in Hollywood, and you can you just know that Adam Sandler is a guy who's just always had fun and made movies the way he's want to. Because this is like, here's the heater that he was on from the nineties to the early two thousands. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, the Wedding Singer, The water Boy, Big Daddy, Little Nicky, Mister Deeds, eight Crazy Nights, fifty First Dates, like the dude had a catastrophic run and he's still making movies and paying homage back to the old. The people just enjoy the Adam Sandlor vibe and just sitting down and watching I don't feel like I can be unless it's like, once I see the end of the movie that you guys are talking about movie, it's kind of hard to botch what he's gonna do. Yeah, you're gonna love it.

01:05:47
Speaker 4: It's like impossible if you have the right expectations for it. If you're like I'm putting this up against Happy Gilmore one, then yeah, I was.

01:05:56
Speaker 11: So excited going into it, like pacing around the living room, like, right, we're about to watch Happy Gilmore too, Dude.

01:06:02
Speaker 4: My kids will forever to go to sleep that night. I'm thinking, bro, my god, I fucking watched this. Yeah, Like, and I was probably not the best dad in that moment, but I was thinking about me, about Adam Sandler really, yeah.

01:06:12
Speaker 1: I mean this is you just see him come on camera. You're just like, I feel like you're just gonna be in a good mood watching it. Yeah, And that's why I hope they make like a Wedding Crashers too, not to compare it to the first one, but just to see Owen Wilson and Vince Bond together.

01:06:25
Speaker 4: Well, the Internship does that for your likeship is not as good of a movie as The Wedding Crash is. Still, I still really enjoyed the movie. But you see the dynamic, yeah, back and forth.

01:06:34
Speaker 1: Dude.

01:06:35
Speaker 4: If Adam Sandler could do Billy Madison do we do all these?

01:06:40
Speaker 1: A couple of them would be like I'm thinking about Billy Madison.

01:06:43
Speaker 4: Hold on, come on, if they remake water Boy and we don't make it in that movie, I'm committing Arson. Not sure where or when, but it will happen.

01:06:54
Speaker 1: What's making you feel that way? Dog?

01:06:56
Speaker 4: Because the movie this Happy Gilmore Too, a lot cast in it, a lot of podcasts in it, and I'm thinking, yeah, I'm I'm not a massive fan of golf. However, we gotta saw a podcast and I'm a huge fan of Adam Sandler.

01:07:10
Speaker 1: That they were doing.

01:07:13
Speaker 4: Three dude, that's solid. That's a passing grade.

01:07:16
Speaker 8: I will say on Twitter, there's been a lot of hate towards Happy Gilmore Too.

01:07:21
Speaker 4: Uh.

01:07:22
Speaker 8: Josh Pate put out his take on it, and the only thing I'll say, I'll keep this quick is if you're going into an Adam Sandler movie and expecting like it to change film like, you are going into it with the wrong mindset. All these happy masks and films are pretty much paid for before they even hit streaming, before they even hit theater. Every single scene has product placement. If you go back and watch Happy goi More Too, every single scene has product placement where they are holding it and they're saying their line and it's right there, like the movie is bought and paid for now they're just having fun with it. He's got past directors he's worked with playing main characters. He's got writers of movies that he's been in playing characters. He's got his wife, kids, family members, Like, he doesn't give a fuck.

01:08:12
Speaker 4: If you like his movie.

01:08:14
Speaker 8: He's having fun with this, friends making movies.

01:08:15
Speaker 4: Yeah, so Ben Steelers daughter is in it too, Yes, which is awesome. And son, she's like one of the cashiers at the gas station or something like that. And there was a guy on Instagram breaking down like here's the top seventy five cameos.

01:08:31
Speaker 8: Yes, the daughter of the CEO of Netflix is in it. Like everybody's in this movie. He's not making it. So you go, oh my gosh, it's better than Happy to Go More one? Right, that was not the goal.

01:08:42
Speaker 4: I thought, dude the beginning of the movie. Yeah, what he's like, it's doing it's the same way as he's explaining his life and Happy gil More one he explains it and Happy Get More two, Like what's happened since? Incredible? It is it's solid, dude. It's a good movie.

01:08:57
Speaker 10: Also, Sadler w' not giving too much away. He really plays such a good like depressed drunk.

01:09:04
Speaker 9: Yeah, he really does.

01:09:06
Speaker 4: He is a dumb bit of everything's just like watch it. I know, dude, uncle did an awesome job. Did an awesome job the hand sanitizer.

01:09:21
Speaker 1: I was seeing that people were talking about how Trav killed.

01:09:23
Speaker 4: His came here. Yeah, so I was textual a trap about it, and he said the first scene he shot, the first thing he shot was the bear scene. Yes, And now I was like, bro, that's gotta be the most difficult. Yeah, just hey, this is what we're gonna do today. And I'm not gonna get into it anymore. But you'll see you'll see bad bunny. I don't know a whole lot about the guy, but banger music awesome. He's a banger actor too.

01:09:50
Speaker 10: He has You've seen Bullet Train, the movie yes, with like the wolf, the Mexican guy that they like poison. He really him like he's a solid act bro, because that movie is really good. Yeah, it's an awesome movie, and I feel like no one really talks about that movie.

01:10:07
Speaker 4: Have you seen Bulletrain? You got to see that. I know that's another one too. I've watched the movie three times now, I haven't seen I want to watch Superman.

01:10:17
Speaker 1: I want to watch Fantastic Superman.

01:10:19
Speaker 5: Doesn't I.

01:10:22
Speaker 1: Have zero want to Why don't you want to see Superman? You're not a superhero guy, though, is.

01:10:30
Speaker 4: Yeah, you're probably right, Like there's there's superhero movies that I love Deadpool, but like, yeah, I don't the traditional I love Batman.

01:10:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, because yeah, that's just like an incredible movie. And Deadpool too is like a comedy.

01:10:43
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I guess I'm just not.

01:10:46
Speaker 7: Maybe I'm not.

01:10:47
Speaker 4: But I saw Fantastic four about what in two thousands when I came out.

01:10:50
Speaker 1: Good movie.

01:10:52
Speaker 9: I'm going to see the new one tonight and I'm pomped out.

01:10:55
Speaker 1: I want to see.

01:10:57
Speaker 9: Really, I've been here in.

01:10:59
Speaker 8: Positive in the older Fantastic Jess which oh yeah, I forgot that that was her?

01:11:08
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I mean Brad Pitt plays the Vanisher. Yeah, I'm just saying, oh ship for real?

01:11:19
Speaker 1: Up there? Should we talk to she talks in football headlines. We we got the Hall of Fame game this Thursday. Football is officially back starting on Thursday. Obviously officially officially back at the end of the month or beginning of September when the regular season starts. However, football is back. Yes, yeah, we do have to coming in here in about fifteen minutes. That's right. Where should we start. There's there's been a lot of headlines. I was seeing some stuff in Canada. I saw trailing Burks. He's on uh broke his collar bone, which is like just.

01:11:56
Speaker 4: Doesn't does a press conference right before being like what's between this year and last year? He's like, I'm healthy and dude.

01:12:01
Speaker 1: That's because I think I saw Buck Rising's tweet where it's like this is his contract year too, so breaking your.

01:12:07
Speaker 4: College Yeah, yeah, of his four years, Yeah, four years. He's had injuries over and over and over again, and he's the kids talented.

01:12:14
Speaker 2: I don't want to say it's easy enough to come back from, but you can get a plate in there, do the rehabit like you'll be back and yeah.

01:12:20
Speaker 4: But what I'm saying is like heart going out for he was fighting for like a second string spot.

01:12:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, heart going out. The empathy factor is just like you know, he was a first round pick. He said up and down so far because that pick was him him getting to the tights because of the AJ Brown trade and all that stuff. We can talk about. Ownership probably feels seeing there seeing trailing Burke's get injured, but just knowing like he's going into his contract year, you know, mentally and individually, he knows he's got a chip on his shoulder, has a lot to prove and going down for the year, Like, yes, he can come back from it, but this is I know, in his mind personally, a massive year to kind of show out.

01:12:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, you know it. Ownership's just like, oh yeah, just like god damn it. I mean, they're not thinking about the empathy portion of it. They're thinking about their investment.

01:13:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, they were watching AJ win.

01:13:06
Speaker 4: A Super Bowl and go off and they're just like this because.

01:13:09
Speaker 1: Who's mother who's been like the the history of first picks recently?

01:13:13
Speaker 4: Yeah, well then who. I can't remember who wrote out this tweet, but I I commented, I was like, I knew this, but I hated seeing it written down. Clay Travis. Yeah, Clay Travis wrote like twenty like Titans History twenty twenty, twenty one, twenty two, Isaiah Wilson, Caleb Farley, and then finally Traylan Burks I forgot about and it's like, bro that is a tough set of guys. It's nothing against them at all, like they they maybe maybe definitely against Isaiah Wilson. Isaiah Wilson fucked up his own ship. But like Caleb Farley, my experience with him, he was always a guy that wanted to do good, which is always caused by injuries.

01:13:52
Speaker 1: And I was gonna say he had kind of injuries coming in when they drafted.

01:13:55
Speaker 4: We have back surgery before it's and an ACL, right, But the reason I think the reason why they went and took him because he was a like a top five pick type of guy and missing his last year because talking about a back surgery in a ACL. But Jeffrey Simmons gets picked and he obviously pan out he was coming off an ACL from Mississippi State. They end up taking him eighteenth overall. So I'm sure John Robinson is thinking, I'll let I want to take this kid so we get the most value of somebody. Let him get healthy and then we'll have a study. Now we get to pick at the twenty second spot or whatever Caleb was picked at. I understand the logic there. Isaiah Wilson is as big of a swing and a miss as you can possibly hit. I remember sitting with the strength coach. I think it was Frank. He asked me about Isaiah Wilson during camp and he's like, what do you think about this kid? I? Oh, he's super talented. He'll never play a meaningful snap for the Tennessee Titans ever, And he played. I think he played four snaps that season. Got cut. Yeah, I mean it's just tough and then trailing, Like you imagine being Treylon Burks and having that type of expectation put on you when you have a J. Brown who was arguably the best receiver that the Titans have ever had or going to be like if he stayed with the Titans, he's going to be the best receiver of the Titans have ever had. They trade him away to pick you, and now you have all these injuries. I'm sure at some point you get the yips. You think about Marcus Mario's interview talking about the injuries, they start to compile on him. He starts getting in his own head, like, I'm sure that's happening with Trailing quite a bit. Right now. He's sitting somewhere rehabbing this collarbone, like in an absolute blender. But yeah, Klay Travis putting out bad vibes, putting out bad vibes.

01:15:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, tough man. Do you see Deon Sanders. Seems like he's going through it. I know as we're recording the show, he's got a press conference coming out. I wish we had got to consume it before.

01:15:37
Speaker 9: Nothing's been released as of right now.

01:15:39
Speaker 1: But man five the stuff that he had a video that dropped yesterday is talks about how how mentally it's been a struggle of the last few days in the hospital or wherever he was at, and he was like, this is the first time I've had to write a will and think about like not being here.

01:15:55
Speaker 4: Wow.

01:15:55
Speaker 1: So he's got to be in something because it's just it's it's weird to see him not around the team, not starting at training camp and all this kind of like everybody's wondering what's going on with him. But I would rumors are rumors right now? Or that cancer. Yeah, but he's had the toe, he's had like the yeah, the circulation problems earlier. That would be brutal.

01:16:19
Speaker 5: Bro.

01:16:21
Speaker 4: You are talking earlier about if he had a video that he looked tough in it looks like he's been going through it.

01:16:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, that video up, it's like he's just sitting on whether he's sitting in a in a in a room, whether whether it's a hospital bed or something. He's kind of on his phone and just kind of talking about like it's a vlog that'll be coming out too, just talking about how difficult it's been and how he had to write a will. I just hope, man, I hate to think of the worst.

01:16:46
Speaker 4: Yeah, a guy like him too, who's been just as legendary.

01:16:51
Speaker 1: Buddy, just an every stage of life that he's been in.

01:16:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I wonder if his health issues were like pre existing or something that he kind of like didn't take care of himself, because like as a two sport athlete and one of the most dominant athletes in like the NFL, Like how it's like your circulation of problem.

01:17:13
Speaker 12: Yeah, that's like hereditary or something that's more hereditary, any type of heart condition or like high blood pressure, cholesterol that can be just genetics.

01:17:25
Speaker 4: I mean this video, I mean I guess you could see, like Kaud he looks a little run down.

01:17:31
Speaker 1: Yeah, it looks like he's lost a bunch of weights.

01:17:32
Speaker 6: Yeah, the amount of pills he takes every morning is crazy. He was running through it with Shannon Sharp and it was like close to like forty of.

01:17:43
Speaker 7: Where like every day he's got to be Gary Brecca. Yeah, I mean, you know what I mean, he's got to be talking to.

01:17:50
Speaker 1: The say, you'd almost assume he's talking to the top people, like, I don't know, man, I hope he's all right, yeah, because that'd be tough. We'll see what the press conference. Obviously you guys are listening to this now the press conferences out.

01:18:01
Speaker 4: But yeah, that is tough.

01:18:06
Speaker 6: Something that kind of just happened. Bryce Harper apparently he was like nose to nose with Manfred, like the MLB commissioner, and was like, Manford's going around to.

01:18:19
Speaker 7: All of the clubhouses because the.

01:18:22
Speaker 6: MLBPA and MLB contract is like up in twenty twenty six, so you know, they're trying to avoid a lockout and MLB wants to create a salary cap for the players. Obviously the players don't want that, and apparently Bryce Harper was nose to nose with him and was like, get the fuck out of here if you ever want to talk, if you're trying to talk about the salary cap and like literally face to face with the commissioner telling him to have fall. But can you imagine in the NFL.

01:18:51
Speaker 1: Dude, I mean there's a lot of union stuff going down. Did you guys talk about that stuff last week?

01:18:54
Speaker 2: We did?

01:18:55
Speaker 4: I said, you know, we've had our back and forth with the PA. I don't want to get too much into it, but one kind of leans towards what I've been saying.

01:19:02
Speaker 1: What do you mean it's a.

01:19:04
Speaker 4: Crooked It's a crooked union.

01:19:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's that's such a blanket statement for a lot of people that like J. C.

01:19:11
Speaker 4: Treader is a guy that I think has put a lot of work. I'm sure there's a lot of good things.

01:19:14
Speaker 1: You know.

01:19:14
Speaker 4: Where my opinions about that goes back to my ped and how there was truly no way for me to get out of that, and so I had a really hard time. All seriousness, I don't know a whole lot about it other than this guy.

01:19:27
Speaker 1: Lloyd Lloyd Howe.

01:19:29
Speaker 4: Lloyd Howell, he's like going to strip clubs, he's running.

01:19:32
Speaker 1: I feel like that's more like smoking mirrors like that happen, and that's a bad thing. But I feel like media wise, it was making a circulation as more of like this is the topic of why he's stepping away. But if you look at Pablo Torres and Mike Florio from PFT, from Football Talk, they do these. Pablo Torres finds out his show, there's a couple episodes that breaks down a lot of the inside details of the union in the NFL and how there's been possible collusion between both parties, and it is fascinating.

01:20:00
Speaker 8: Bro.

01:20:00
Speaker 1: It's definitely one of those things like I put up my tweet on about JC like him stepping in as the interim executive director and just all the findings throughout the past couple of years. I kind of put them put out my tweet a little emotionally because that interim executive director was going to get voted on and figured out the next day. But uh, dude, it is. It is fascinating stuff. If you have if you have time, if you have a couple hours of time and you check out the Pablo Touris finds out between the NFL and the nfl p A, it is. It's wild because it's like the NFLPA found things to say that the NFL is colluding against doing having guaranteed contracts for players because of Deshaun Watson, the NFL, the owners, it's like, who's going to tell all? Like what owners gonna tell Jerry Jones, Hey, here's how you all got to pay your players because they're all going to operate their own way. They're all like independent of your There's this management council that the NFL ownership consults with, and the the idea is, think of the management councils like the Illuminati. Whatever they're suggesting. They're telling you, hey, we're suggesting this, but you should optionally go this way, kind of like OTA's like, hey, you should optionally be if they suggest it, you follow those rules so that way the NFL can stay clean on These are suggestions. We're all meeting with counsel or consultants to do this stuff. But then when I want to say, the first domino was Kyler Murray's contract got done. And then there's text exchange between the Chargers owner and the Arizona Cardinals owner saying, hey, this is a really good job with your contract. This will help us on our quarterback on our contract next year. Not guaranteeing Kyler Murray a fully guaranteed contract. So he was the first time. Then you got Herbert. Then it was like Russell Wilson didn't take like a fully guaranteed deal or something. JC Tretder is like on text e change with either d Maurie Smith or somebody that was on the executive team being like talking about how dumb it was to not have a fully guaranteed deal. Nfl PA brings it to light of this possible collusion. Then in the NFL they hire an arbitrator. They don't make a public they keep it private. They're hiring an arbitrator that comes in. And when you bring in an arbitrator, it's like, you know, whoever the lawyer is coming in to work on it, you're kind of going to go with the way of the biggest who has the biggest sword, which would be the NFL arbitrador says there's not enough findings here to prove collusion, but there's tax exchanges with a few different owners. I just use the Chargers and Cardinals as an example. But there's a few owners that have been talking back and forth about we're not guaranteeing contracts anymore. From this management Council suggestion did not do it because it's not good for business. And when the arbitrator came back and said there's not enough here to prove collusion, NFLPA stayed quiet about it and kept it just kind of swept it under the rug. And the fascinating stuff with like Lloyd hol JC Treader and all that. Jac Trader was the I voted for him as the executive director of that first time around when we were going through those CBA negotiations. When we were at the end was eighteen, I was right before COVID hit. I think it was nineteen twenty in that range. Yeah, yeah, that is means I've been like in the weeds trying to listen, Like the only thing we.

01:23:05
Speaker 4: Really talked about was the thing we saw with Lloyd. But you're saying that smoking mirrors that definitely in plays. That seems like a very smaller game compared to all this collusion stuff.

01:23:13
Speaker 1: Because I got a couple of texts from a couple of big dogs in the league being like, have you checked this stuff out? You guys should be talking about this YadA YadA, YadA, or you should put everybody on blast. And so I'm thinking, I don't even know what's going on, So I've been I was spending those days trying to go through everything. And then the interesting thing with the J. C. Tredder Lloyd House stuff is when j. C. Tratdor became the president, that was when De Maurice's Dean Murray Smith contract was up as the executive director. So Jase Tratdor is head of hiring. The next he's a lead dog with the executive committee. Tied the next ed that e d was Lloyd how Lloyd Howe already had a job with the Carlisle Group, which is a private equity firm that is on a very short list of organizations or private equity groups that can invest in NFL teams and organizations from minority own So right there's a massive red flag for complex advins. Floyd Howe was a consultant with the Carlisle Group. Knowing that that was known, he was also hired as our executive director. J C. Tretder gets cut from the Cleveland Browns, and as you know, if you're an active player and you get cut and you don't have like you're not active on a team, you can't sit in as the president. But eventually Lloyd Howe creates a whole nother position to bring Ja C. Tretder back on the staff as like a strategic guy for all these findings, and then all this up the sixty one page document that Pablo tours and then break down about all this collusion, the owner's texting back and forth, what happened here? Each step of the way, Pablo Torres gets his hands on this sixty one page document that hasn't been seen by anybody. It has been made public. Pablo Torre's is making it all public and showing these unfoldings, and people were talking about how Lloyd how is you know, he needs to get out the PA needs to get him out of there. Then comes the smoking merors Lloyd how is stepping down and resigning? And then the Jac Tretder he doesn't want to know part of it. I would love to pick jc's brain and figure out and ask them.

01:25:03
Speaker 4: Questions about I feel you're hat in the ring a little bit.

01:25:06
Speaker 1: That's so much work, dude, think about think of think there. That is a shitload of work. Though. The spot that we're always up against is like there's tiers of players in the NFL to where you wish guys were fully invested in the PA and trying to get all the best stuff. But then when you dangle a carrot, hey we'll give you a hundred thousand oars signing.

01:25:23
Speaker 4: You had that conversation about how the issue with having guarantee contracts is you have to have quarterbacks started. Quarterbacks have to have fully guaranteed contracts, and then I'll slow trig go down position by position. Eventually you'll have it. But anytime you go into a lockout CBA era, Yeah, CBA, they go into we want high negotiations, we want more, more piece of the pie as far as revenue sharing, all that when it goes to the players. But all the all the teams have to do is give it to the guys that are like bottom of the total pole as being like, hey, we'll give you guys one hundred thousand dollars signing bus. We'll add the minimum will be now higher. We'll go from seven twenty to nine to twenty or whatever it is.

01:25:56
Speaker 1: Now.

01:25:57
Speaker 4: Then that's the majority of the NFL.

01:25:59
Speaker 1: The The career of the life in the NFL could be a year of a time.

01:26:02
Speaker 4: How can I go be a guy like me who's making as much as I'm making and look at a guy who's on practice squad, like, bro, you've got to hold out for this. It's like, bro, he's got billion up two.

01:26:10
Speaker 1: You got over two thousand guys, around two thousand guys in the NFL collectively that are active. It's hard to get two thousand guys on the same page for the union, for the executive committee, for the leadership team, all the way to the tip top. So Goginzi's thirty two billionaire experts that they're always dialing. It's like when we were having that CBA meeting about wanting to get potentially locking out or holding out. When we're having that meeting, there's a voting that's happening in the next day, and half the league or half the voters already voted as players before we could all get together and even talk about what we should do. And even when that CBA got figured out, about seventy players seventy percent of players that most in the league even voted on it. So people aren't even aware of all this stuff going on. I just I wish players would invest more. I wish representatives would be talking more and get it, get everything tighter more, and hire a fucking leader who knows how to lead the PA and not have some scumbag who's conflict adventures with private equity groups and is in bed with the NFL also leading the union.

01:27:05
Speaker 4: But the issue that you're running into is a guy who's looking to the future being like, how do we fix these issues? You're looking at guys like me being like, bro, I'm just trying to play football and essentially have a good time, make some money, for sure, create a legacy for myself. You guys are junior sided and two zoomed into their own world and getting getting football players active football players to zoom out and actually focus on things bigger than that. What just they have going on, that's very far in few between.

01:27:29
Speaker 1: For sure.

01:31:12
Speaker 5: Thanks, guys. Yeah, thanks for having me, dude. Good to see you guys. Man. We get to see each other around town, but we haven't gotten to come and do this for a while, so yeah, this is awesome. Happy to be here, man. Thank you guys for your patience too.

01:31:22
Speaker 4: One thing I love about you is every time we're around each other, you're just out there taking photos. You. I remember we're at the USA random you mind if I get a photo real quick? I'm like, yeah, due for sure, And I go to like get ready for a post, and you just face the camera at me, oh me, and will take a photo of us. But I appreciate you, man.

01:31:38
Speaker 2: Yeah.

01:31:38
Speaker 4: And then you get and every time I see you, there's a photo being taken place like you took one of us right before we started this.

01:31:44
Speaker 5: I don't like being in him anymore. I'm so sick of seeing myself. So I'm just like you got you know, you guys, get in him. I can't even smile anymore. My smile broke like about eighteen months ago, and yeah, I can't even do it. It's like it doesn't I think I just did it so much, I can't do it, and I maybe that sounds crazy, but I just I think I just need like a break or something.

01:32:04
Speaker 4: Break from smiling or break from photos.

01:32:05
Speaker 5: Probably a break from yeah, smiling, having reactions to things.

01:32:10
Speaker 1: I don't know.

01:32:12
Speaker 5: It's like so much gets documented over time, you know, It's like I don't know, so yeah, but but yeah, man, always great to see you guys at the UFC and stuff. So much fun, dude, it's so much fun, Like so lucky to be able to sit there and watch the fights and like be around like some of your buddies.

01:32:28
Speaker 1: Go.

01:32:29
Speaker 5: We got to go to the dustin Pourier one and I got to bring my sister got to go, which was crazy. John Shaheedi got her some tickets which was so sweet, and they brought I think her boyfriend in some kind of I don't want to say mentally impaired to man or whatever. But you knew it, you know, and and and uh, and he had a first name. I don't know he did have a first name. I don't Some of these people are like, this is him and they don't even say. I was like, dude, that guy has a name. He works off shore.

01:33:00
Speaker 4: Right.

01:33:02
Speaker 5: But but so that was great. And then like my friends from growing up, some of them got to come. So it was crazy. Dude, They're like, we're all sitting right there. It was so much fun.

01:33:10
Speaker 4: How far you grew up in Louisiana? How far from New Orleans did you grow up?

01:33:13
Speaker 5: I grew probably forty seven minutes away.

01:33:16
Speaker 4: Yeah, what was that childhood?

01:33:17
Speaker 9: Like?

01:33:17
Speaker 4: I've seen you break down a whole bunch of stuff. But what was it like growing up in Louisiana?

01:33:21
Speaker 1: Oh?

01:33:21
Speaker 5: A lot of you know, a lot of human reverb out there, you know, a lot of you know, a lot of I would say, kind of genetic kind of like who done it? You know? Yeah, you know, like at anybody's house. It could have been like one of those like murder mystery, like dinners or whatever. Yeah, you know, but somebody been murdering that ass you feel me because yeah, it was Semi and ssty I would say, or whatever, you know, just people you know that had a guy in our classes fell in American They said his dad was his brother or whatever. So just like a lot of like clue, like kind of like sexual clue.

01:34:01
Speaker 4: I guess, yeah, you know sexual board games.

01:34:04
Speaker 5: Yeah, consistently, Yeah, just a lot of yeah, a lot of just I don't know, how are you doing?

01:34:10
Speaker 2: Good? Good?

01:34:13
Speaker 5: Sorry, I'm jacked up. I've been fasting, dude, so I think I'm like kind of like riding that. You know, that energy you'll kind of hit you a little bit.

01:34:20
Speaker 1: Oh no, yeah, what hour are you in right now with fasting?

01:34:23
Speaker 5: I'm in probably about hour forty. I'm gonna eat this afternoon, so I'm excited about that.

01:34:27
Speaker 4: But would you do forty hours?

01:34:29
Speaker 5: I just been doing it a lot recently, man, I did like four days and that felt good in the now, just like every I would say, I'm like once a week, I'll do uh, thirty hours. It just makes me feel like a little bit more control. I can think faster. What else do I like about it? I guess yeah, I can think faster, and it feels like a little bit more of a challenge sometimes, you know.

01:34:56
Speaker 1: So dude, I'm so pumped. You're on You've I mean, you're hilarious. You've made people laugh for a very long time. Do you ever like get tired, Like do you ever feel an expectation when you're in a room like I have to be funny and I kind of don't feel like being funny right now? Or does that ever get like tiring? Because you're you're dude. You go on YouTube, but you can find stuff where it's deep thoughtful stuff like you're in motivation. You're in like motivation University. Now you're like on that YouTube page where people are given given game. You're also like the most clippable dude. I feel like of all time to where you're having funny moments. Does it ever get like, uh, you know, walking in a room and you feel like you just have an expectation on you.

01:35:36
Speaker 5: Let me think about it for a second. Uh I don't. I think the tough part is if you're in a place where you don't know a lot of people, because then it feels like, uh yeah, maybe there's some expectation or you know, now like you have to like you might have to take photos of people and stuff, which is cool, but that takes up a lot of the interactions. So whereas before if you didn't know people and people didn't know you, then you could just conversay it and you could kind of be a surprise. That was one thing I liked about I think being funny when I was young was it was a surprise, right, So when it's a surprise, dude, there's so much more as possible because nobody has any clue you might be funny or might be different or whatever. So that I think was something that I really really miss, like just like just like being in a place and being like these motherfuckers don't know what's gonna happen, and you know this guy. Yeah, So that I love, Like just see you could see people walking off in the distance, like apologizing to their mothers for things that were said in company, you know, like shit like that. I love like that kind of thing. I think I really like kind of miss to be honest with you. But then sometimes when you're around friends and stuff like that and people that you don't feel as an expectation. Recently, I've been feeling like a little bit more uh like funnier from like kind of like, I don't know, that might sound egotistical, say, but I like, I like, I used to enjoy being myself a lot of times, and then yourself kind of becomes a product I think, and that gets a little bit strange sometimes.

01:37:03
Speaker 1: But yeah, because your fame levels high, bro, Like, legitimately your podcast is like one of the top five in the world. I feel like you anytime you drop another episode, it's just some fascinating figure that's massive in whatever space they're in, just asking you before we came on, like yo Joaquin Phoenix, like you're getting on insane people. It's just, yeah, your level has been It's been awesome to watch it really has.

01:37:26
Speaker 4: It seems like there's been a lot of like a different trials, thanks man, Like you've been kind of you've jumped around. You had a like I think in like twenty twenty you had like three or four podcasts. You're doing a one time then you move here and you're kind of bouncing back and forth.

01:37:39
Speaker 5: La.

01:37:39
Speaker 4: I don't know if you still do that, but seems like you've really honed into something that you truly want to do, Like, yeah, you're really just talking to guests now that like you're a character. You're you're an individual that people are gonna come to see you, and then it really is like the guest is like a little bonus. The fact that you have a big guess is awesome, but like you are a guy that people are just like interested in knowing more about.

01:37:59
Speaker 11: It.

01:37:59
Speaker 4: Seems like you've taking on like a rogan esque type of approach to the way you do podcasts. Like Chreischer was on here talking about how he does his podcast. He doesn't prepare it all, and then he was talking to you, and You're like, all right, I got to go study for my this podcast I do tomorrow. Did you have you always been a guy that's like I have to study for all these things? Or I was like I'm just gonna let it fly.

01:38:17
Speaker 5: Oh I'll let it fly. And then it flew off. You know.

01:38:20
Speaker 4: That was the thing.

01:38:21
Speaker 5: I got to a point where I was like, damn, there's nothing in the nest. You know, I didn't just didn't, Like I think I got a little bit maybe brain dead or something about it. Just like well, I started realizing, like I think sometimes I started realizing there is like important people that I could talk to that like I could learn something from right, and so if and then if I can learn it, then other people can learn it, right talking to me like a listener. Basically try to become like a listener for other people. And I know this sounds a little bit egotistical, but I didn't really think of it that way. I just felt like, fuck, people are listening. I don't want to waste their time, right, That was I think a thought. And so yeah, sometimes, man, we get to talk with some neat people. There has been more like celebrity type folks. I think we're going to try to get back into get more regular folks. But then it's the tough part is like finding time to uh research guests and do all that. It's just like it's been hard to do so many things, and so I'm trying to get a little bit more help and so yeah, that we can kind of just continue to do it or keep it interesting. You know, there's a lot of neat people out there. I like to talk to more people that are in recovery or more people that have been through certain experiences, uh stuff like that.

01:39:36
Speaker 1: You know, but you go from that, and you know, getting shouted out during the victory speech for for President Trump, the boys we were. We're also in.

01:39:48
Speaker 5: Crazy. You guys did too. Yeah, what the fuck?

01:39:51
Speaker 4: Isn't that just weird, craziest thing.

01:39:54
Speaker 5: It's horrible, it's highly irresponsible of America.

01:39:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, but I woke up the next day all these ex he got shout out. It was like one thirty in the morning. I was like, what White just giving?

01:40:05
Speaker 5: Dude, you're telling me bus sorry and rough you But I'm gonna but do you are you never mind going?

01:40:10
Speaker 2: Were you saying?

01:40:10
Speaker 5: No?

01:40:10
Speaker 1: That was about it? That was about it?

01:40:12
Speaker 5: You got just joking, dude, But no, you got I mean, it's like the fact that you guys get to shout out. You guys fucking drive a bus, right, you guys are like girls going wild without any chicks. Dude, Like, well, at least one broad get on this bus. Like the closest most beautiful thing you had on here was Josh Allen. So it's like it's like the simple fact that that is getting like referenced, I think is bizarre. It's just a sign of the times that everything's like wwe now, yeah I do.

01:40:43
Speaker 1: Yeah.

01:40:43
Speaker 5: I think all that had to do with Dana White. You know, Dana is like a facilitator. He's a guy that gets things done. That guy's pretty magical, I think. And if anybody I think had a big hand in that election stuff, it was Dana probably.

01:40:56
Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, I mean him a bus where the two guys that seem like they were pushing the row in the boat's the hardest of anybody else.

01:41:02
Speaker 5: And Musk is out there just gooming or whatever they call it.

01:41:06
Speaker 4: Right now.

01:41:07
Speaker 5: He's always fucking murpen or whatever.

01:41:09
Speaker 4: He's up to something. Have you had a show on your show yet?

01:41:11
Speaker 1: Uh?

01:41:11
Speaker 5: Uh. I would love to get to meet him. I just don't know. I don't know if we'll ever meet.

01:41:17
Speaker 4: Yeah, I met it. We met him. Where we meet him at? Is that in New York?

01:41:22
Speaker 1: Yeah?

01:41:22
Speaker 4: I think it was in New York at MSG for a UFC fight. He was there and it was like, oh, fucking Musk is right there. So I had to get over crazy Billow handshake. I think it was when Yeah, it was when Mike and Oliver fought.

01:41:32
Speaker 5: How did you get there? Swim move? How'd you get over there?

01:41:34
Speaker 4: No, that's a good that's a good question. So Mike and Oliver air did their fight, and then I went to go like walked over and say, what's up to Mike after the fight, and as I'm walking back instead of like going to the myro, I went like to the front and I was like, hey, man, I just want to introduce myself. I'm Taylor. Will Say was pretty disappointed with the firmness of his handshake, But that's kind of one of those things you expect.

01:41:52
Speaker 5: Dude, he probably didn't upload enough megabytes into the shaked.

01:41:55
Speaker 4: Does it not seem like he's always just like thinking about the world and ones and zeros, Like he'll just you think he'll be on his phone. He was honest fee like the entire time, and then he would just like stare off in the distance for five minutes and it's like, I'm not like, Wow, that's like that's crazy because his brain just works way different than all of ours. Yeah, he's just always is on to the next thing. He's just doing a thousand things.

01:42:16
Speaker 5: Oh, it's that designer autism. All these guys have it, you know, it's like that fucking Fendy autism or whatever. These guys have autism. It's that new ship man, they're on it. Yeah, dude, you think a handshake impress this dude. You should have rolled up on him with something solid a handshake a Neanderthal. Fucking hello, This dude's fucking doing angel dust off a neptune and you're out here being like and you teach you a move from the eleven hundreds.

01:42:41
Speaker 1: Dude.

01:42:45
Speaker 4: Miscalculating, you're absolutely right, fucking send an idiot.

01:42:49
Speaker 5: I'm just saying, drone over.

01:42:50
Speaker 4: To Yeah, like a note. Yeah, it can't be on a piece of paper. It's gotta be like an iPad or something.

01:42:54
Speaker 5: You can do whatever you gotta do, Dude, send a drone. I think a note on a drone would have been very nice. Would you like to meet me?

01:43:04
Speaker 4: Check yesterday? George straight?

01:43:07
Speaker 5: And then he just pins it back, you know, he for sure say yes, like he was so curious.

01:43:14
Speaker 4: Yeah, but how did this drone get to me? And it just goes like one row behind him and he looks back into me.

01:43:19
Speaker 5: I'm just like a couple of drone are homies.

01:43:22
Speaker 4: But once you give him the drone, do you shake his hand? You just walk up on him.

01:43:25
Speaker 5: I think a handshakes scare somebody like him. You do not want to put your hands in the cage, bro, You steer clear. See there's probably a sign on him that says when there's visiting hours. Dude, you're talking to a fucking like an alternate being man. Yeah, now I think anyway, I mean, look at this right here.

01:43:44
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a lot going on.

01:43:47
Speaker 5: Oh dude, you even.

01:43:48
Speaker 4: See us through that picture right now? Yeah, you said you wanted him on on your podcast. Who is one like if anybody could possibly have on your show? Who was like, you're great white buffalo.

01:44:01
Speaker 1: Oh.

01:44:01
Speaker 5: The Pope and Marilyn Manson actually are two of my heroes right now that I would love to be able to talk to, specifically the Pope because I think, like more than ever, we need religion to like take a stand if if it's going to or Christianity to take a stand if it's going to because otherwise I don't think it's going to disappear. And that might be crazy take, but I think people are in fear of that. But yeah, the Pope, the Pope and then the non pope dude, Marilyn Manson. Yeah, the Antichrist first concert ever went to Path took us over there.

01:44:30
Speaker 4: Yeah, he's got like he had the biggest rumor in the world before the Internet. I was gonna say, when you asked the hard question, Yeah, did he remove a rib.

01:44:38
Speaker 5: Yeah, I would say, have you ever been to TJ Ribs? That's what I would say. Okay, is that a chain restaurant or not?

01:44:45
Speaker 4: I don't think so. I've never heard of it. I laughed for it.

01:44:48
Speaker 5: Let me think of another rib, Chili's, Chili's Ribs. Have you ever been to Chili's? Yeah, and ordered the and I would just say that, Yeah, I want my baby, or maybe I would do that.

01:45:02
Speaker 4: Yeah.

01:45:02
Speaker 5: Yeah, what do you guys been up to? Man, we're just talking about me.

01:45:07
Speaker 1: I just got back from a family vacation in Canada. It was amazing.

01:45:11
Speaker 5: Oh I saw some pictures. We all in a canoe or something.

01:45:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, a little sunrise canoe got the kiddos up at like five in the morning. A bit of a grind getting down there, and we didn't want to wake up or do anything.

01:45:21
Speaker 5: The kid didn't want to wake up.

01:45:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, she wanted to stay in bed. She wanted to go to sleep. What Yeah, yeah, and sometimes yeah, tell the.

01:45:29
Speaker 5: Operator is that true?

01:45:30
Speaker 1: Yeah?

01:45:30
Speaker 4: Yeah, they'll be a full battery, then they'll turn off and then sometimes getting the battery going against tough like when you're waking up in the morning.

01:45:36
Speaker 5: So kids, but you always hear the kids get up and they wake up the parent. That's not always the thing.

01:45:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we haven't experienced that yet to where she's like, you know, she wakes up on our own. She'll just stay in her crib. She'll stay in her bed until we go up and get her.

01:45:51
Speaker 5: But she's doing up there.

01:45:52
Speaker 1: She's just chilling. She's singing songs, saying the ABC's that's good, reiterating a book that she's memorized. But she's in like that little half crib, half bed deal. But she'll just stay. She'll stay in a room until we come up and get her.

01:46:03
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's a big win.

01:46:05
Speaker 1: My kids do not do that.

01:46:06
Speaker 4: My kids. My kids wake up, like if they sleep in separate beds, my youngest will wake up. She'll come in my bed like two in the morning. Oh every single time, now, no way.

01:46:14
Speaker 5: Yeah, but when you let them, do you have to let them in?

01:46:17
Speaker 4: I mean the doors are locked. Yeah.

01:46:19
Speaker 1: Yeah.

01:46:19
Speaker 4: They know how to use handles and all that. Like they're pretty advanced for five, so they do the thing. But like, yeah, sometimes you like I got bar kids at like four twenty for our flight back from Canada because I was in Canada from my June thirtieth to July twenty first, and we hung out there the whole time. But flying back, we had to get like four in the morning to get your west Jet fly back, and so my oldest wanted nothing to do with getting up, but my five year old got up like it was nothing. Kids is awesome, man, they're great. It's a war though. Vacations just traveling in general. Kids, is it the biggest.

01:46:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a military tour. When you get done with family vacation, you need a vacation from the vacation.

01:46:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, absolutely.

01:46:56
Speaker 5: Are you ever do you ever want to I mean this is gonna sound crazy, I guess, but just leave your family or whatever? Like, do you ever really have honest thoughts about that? And be honest with me?

01:47:08
Speaker 1: There there were times with the first one, rue when.

01:47:12
Speaker 7: We're up there or not.

01:47:14
Speaker 1: She's a quarter quarter quarter Filipino, Filpino, wife's at Filipino. I'm full blooded. Yeah, there's there's times when you know, you have your first one and you're doing these night shifts and you're just up and they're not going to bed, and you just think, man, I could just dip out right now.

01:47:30
Speaker 5: And what would you do? You would set the baby where.

01:47:34
Speaker 1: I probably put her back to sleep, try to get her back to sleep, at least set mom up for success when she wakes up, and maybe just write a note and say do.

01:47:43
Speaker 5: Not write it in mark or dude, that's the shittiest dad that's leaving.

01:47:47
Speaker 2: I write it in.

01:47:48
Speaker 4: It'd be fun for the kids, like a teenager, like, there'd be more fun because it's colorful.

01:47:52
Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good point.

01:47:53
Speaker 4: Yeah, it'd be more fun for them leaving, ma'am. I think it acrosses every man's mind at one point, at some point, be a big fight with that.

01:48:00
Speaker 1: It's across the moms too, But they you know, they're they're such better parents.

01:48:05
Speaker 4: Moms are such better parents because I feel like they have Uh yeah, I mean say what you wanted by I think she's a great mother.

01:48:15
Speaker 1: I'm just saying. I know, like you're saying they're better parents. I think. I'm like, I like, I'm not going to sleep.

01:48:22
Speaker 4: Here's here's what I'm saying. I think naturally, women are better parents than men. Men make more of a conscious decision to be a better parent than women because when they get pregnant, they're spending nine months and they feel the baby, the baby is growing inside them, there's some sort of connection. That's so when the baby comes out, like they there's already a bond. And for me it was like I have to learn to establish a bond like that people talk about all the time. How like when the baby comes out, everything changes. It's so crazy. I thought to myself, like, this is I just don't want to fuck this thing up. I want to make sure this child grows up and like as a productive member of society and as a good person and all those things. But like six month mark, Yeah, when that walked in, they started smiling and noticing me. That's when I'm like, all right, this is this is fucking awesome, Like it was all great before. I'm not trying to take it away from that, But if like naturally, the woman has more of a bond at the beginning and is more tied to the.

01:49:16
Speaker 5: Child, whose wife you think is a better mother? Do you think if you ought to give guess.

01:49:23
Speaker 1: What a division? I mean? Obviously I'm biased. I think charo.

01:49:27
Speaker 4: Yeah, I would put Tilling up against anybody.

01:49:29
Speaker 5: All right, And we're gonna go to the fans in a moment. We're gonna take a commercial break right now. That might have been time for a break, you think or now.

01:49:41
Speaker 4: Do an ad read right there you are you struggling with boners two and one prescription.

01:50:39
Speaker 4: Dude, you brought up Christianity. You think you want to talk to the pope because you think that might be dying. Organized religion might be dying. What makes you think that?

01:50:46
Speaker 5: I just think we need it more than ever. Maybe I don't know if it's that. I mean, we need morality. I don't know what we need. I just feel like we could use a spark. I don't know how we get it. And maybe that's just me and let me just say that, And maybe it's just my own relationship with God. I don't know, you know, so I don't want to say, you know, like it's on people.

01:51:05
Speaker 2: I don't know.

01:51:06
Speaker 5: I'm just kind of surprised that there's so much going on. So I's in the world, and sometimes the Pope seems kind of quiet to me for such a big position. Yeah, I think you should.

01:51:14
Speaker 4: Be saying more, tweeting more, and doing more stuff.

01:51:15
Speaker 1: Well, I get I mean where the world's at with you know, I'm ignorant saying just social media, but everybody, it's like you can get your voice out there more and much more urgent. Is that kind of what you're.

01:51:26
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I mean even just the fact that like there's like a genocide going on and the post it's like you think that Pope would rattle off a few more tweets about it. You know what I'm saying, like to find inspiration, But then what do I know? I don't know what it's like to be the Pope. I don't know shit, you know what I'm saying. I'm a fucking honky. I know I am blm. You know what I'm saying, But I don't know. I don't know. May I don't know. I think maybe I'm also just like I haven't been eating doing you don't you start looking for the Lord? So I don't know if we need to. I don't know if we need to visit the Vatican or if I just need a soda nacho. But anyway, do I sound crazyer? I sound okay, solid.

01:52:11
Speaker 4: It's just it was interesting. It was a statement that I heard that I was like, I want to go back to that and figure out what your actual thoughts were.

01:52:16
Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that's it. You know, sometimes I don't know. But then also it's hard to pay attention to everything. I think sometimes that just get kind of scared in the world. But then, like I think people have always felt like that throughout history. You know, I think maybe we've been very comfortable in Americans, so we forget that, like life is uncomfortable for a lot is more is uncomfortable for a lot of folks, you know.

01:52:37
Speaker 4: Yeah, not to.

01:52:38
Speaker 5: Bring it down, but anyway, Yeah, seeing all the stuff in the world is kind of like it.

01:52:43
Speaker 4: It can be overwhelming if you look at it constantly. Yeah, I always see everything that's going on. For me, it's like my wife's always bringing things to my attention, like you see this happen, You see this happen in Louisiana or Texas or all this, and it's like for me, my first natural reaccident to most of these things, and it's probably the wrong reaction is like take a step back because I just get like I get overwhelmed about that stuff, and then I think to myself, what am I gonna do?

01:53:06
Speaker 5: Right?

01:53:06
Speaker 1: Like what you know?

01:53:07
Speaker 4: You see that like you know the geniside you're talking about, or like Texas the floods is it rightdomly happen in Texas And it's like how crazy is this? And I'm like I almost get like nervous, and like I see to take a step back from that and like live and live more ignorantly, which is definitely probably the wrong way to go.

01:53:20
Speaker 5: No, I think you're probably right, man. I think uh, I think yeah, cause it's like what can you do? And then sometimes you speak up and then it's like, well, what what am I really doing? So yeah, I don't know. I think it's just a place where yeah, it's like a lot of confusion. And then we are in a place where you see a lot of stuff and then that can like affect your you know, your day to day in your moment, and sometie's watching it is like, you know, and where we ever supposed to see all that type of stuff?

01:53:46
Speaker 1: But yeah, and the anyway you consume it so much, it's like this cycle that comes in your brain to where it like takes up and then you're thinking, well, I got to take care of myself with what's going on in my life. And then yeah, I don't know. Then we have you have platforms, and sometimes you'll is my responsibility You kind of feel a sense of responsibility or expectation should I do this? I don't feel like I know enough about it. You put one thing out that everybody reacts to and you're just like, what the Then you're trying to get consumed by it more and it's just like this vicious cycle in your head where then it's like I need to just step back from my Yeah.

01:54:16
Speaker 4: I always lean towards like the whole, Like if we're looking at everybody, every country is like their own house, Like America is its own house. It has a bunch of problems going on too. So when I see or hear about a bunch of things going around the rest of the world, personally internally is like, well, I feel like we should take care of our house first and make sure our ducks are in a row before we start telling everybody else what to do and how to do it. But then I then I that's why I start to get overwhelm, Like I'm gonna go to s I'm gonna fall asleep now. Now it's time to go to bed.

01:54:43
Speaker 2: Now.

01:54:44
Speaker 5: That's a good point, dude, yeah, because it's like, well, we should take care of our own you should take care of people in your place first. And maybe my algorithm is just hot, you know, maybe yeah, but uh yeah, so that just feel like, but yeah, anyway, let's talk about something else. Man, I don't want to bring down the vibes.

01:55:02
Speaker 1: Dude, I got a fun question, could be an absolutely dumb question. Yeah, but is uh the Diggers movie real or is that just a social piece of because I'm watching it and I'm like, this movie. Well, and then at the end of the the end of the scene and didn't say coming out when I'm just like, I was kind of in the haze.

01:55:24
Speaker 5: Well, I'll be real honest with you then, So what happened was we made this thing. We made it like probably a year and a half ago, and that's your right there to Diggers and yeah, it's funny for a little while, but as I know of now, it's not because it's this movie will not get made. But and I think I think I am thankful for it in the end because I was the one having to say Digger a lot. And you say it a couple of times, it's cool, but but.

01:55:56
Speaker 4: Then you'll loose, well you're comfortable saying it out.

01:56:00
Speaker 5: What happened to me was I was in so you go and they're shooting a thing, right, and so Drewski came up with it because he's trying to spark racism or whatever.

01:56:12
Speaker 1: People say mixed.

01:56:13
Speaker 5: I didn't say that, but I'm just saying his twenty three and me had a picture of Jason Williams. M okay, now he was making up backwards behind the back pass, so I think that, you know, yeah, elevates, Yeah, it elevates it. But so anyway, they're like, Okay, this is it, this is mister digger. He passed away, and you're playing, uh, the the uh what's a fucking male wife?

01:56:40
Speaker 2: What is it?

01:56:41
Speaker 4: A male wife?

01:56:42
Speaker 5: Husband? You're playing the husband?

01:56:45
Speaker 2: Right?

01:56:46
Speaker 5: Sorry, dude, I am. I looked at my handshaking, dude. Haven't eaten, dude. And some of that's racism, trying to get out of it, but some of it's not.

01:57:00
Speaker 1: He said the male wife.

01:57:02
Speaker 5: Anyway, Uh, so I have to be there's a room full of predominantly black folks and and so I have to come in and I'm like drunk, and I'm like taking the microphone from uh Drewsky who's making a speech at his father in law's at his father's funeral. So I have to come in and I'm like this digger right here was the greatest digger, right, like saying shit like that, right, and you do it one time. It's kind of cool, right, but there's adult black folks in the room. I'm a white guy, right, semi white, right, Matt, finish right, you fucking I had to do it like nine times, dude, I said the word digger in front of these people forty two times. Probably, Yeah, after six times, do not. You shouldn't do it. You shouldn't do it anymore. And drews He's like, Nah, you're gonna be fine.

01:58:02
Speaker 2: Maybe get back in there.

01:58:05
Speaker 5: He's like, I'm sorry, I'm busy. I'm talking to cousin that on FaceTime. I'll get back in there. And he kept sending me in to do it, dude, and they do not want to hear it at a certain point, and I just felt I started getting sick to my stomach.

01:58:18
Speaker 1: So at one point was it a thought to be a movie just a skit like a social clip.

01:58:24
Speaker 5: I think there was a thought, but with nobody to signed on and agreed to it, and then Shane got very busy with his series. We've talked about doing something together. We've discussed it a few times over text. We just discussed it the other day about trying to make something that could be neat. I think it would be I think it would be awesome, you know, depending on if we could figure it out. But then you have people's schedules and some people want different things out of their careers and stuff like that, and uh but yeah, I mean even just getting to do that and Shane like flew in especially for which was really cool to him, Like it was pretty cool, you know. I mean it was definitely a fun day, but it was also scary. For I thought it was just verbally scary kind of yeah.

01:59:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, you like, why do I got to be in this role? I'm like the old guys saying this over and over again.

01:59:14
Speaker 4: Yeah, you had to assume like the majority of people that saw this video were the same as Will and I were like, is this is this real? Because we want to see this movie. So after the video gets released, like how many people were flooding you being like we want to do this movie?

01:59:27
Speaker 5: Oh yeah, people were hittingus up. People that thought it was already done. People thought it was already made and it just wasn't made. You know, it'd be real honest with you guys.

01:59:38
Speaker 1: Yeah you got to make a movie with David Spade. Yeah yeah, fully funded by you by you tube.

01:59:43
Speaker 5: Yeah, we funded ourselves. Yeah, it's called bus Boys. We both were bus boys in Arizona at one point when we were younger, and so that's what it's about. And so it's interesting. We learned a lot. We're editing it right now, which is like a big process learning that we had, uh not to name drop but yet. But Ben Affleck came on the podcast one time and we're talking about uh movies, because he had The Accountant two was coming out, and he said he said, oh, he'd gotten back a first cut of a movie and he didn't leave his house for like six weeks because he hated it so much and it made him so like just miserable at what they had created. And then he said, yeah, he had to go back and just redo it and finesse things and stuff like that. So yeah, so it's a learning curve. We're figuring it out. We're doing a lot of editing. It's kind of tough because the editor is over Zoom and David lives in la and just schedules and stuff. But uh, it was certainly awesome. David's one of the funniest guys that exists. And Nate Diaz was there and uh, I mean, it's bizarre dude. But yeah, we just learned. We learned a lot. Man, it was it was super cool. But I don't want to talk about me anymore. Let's talk about.

02:00:54
Speaker 1: Something else, all right, what do you want to talk about?

02:00:56
Speaker 5: Shit? I don't know.

02:01:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, we got the Yvonne. We got the Yvonne on the bus. It's been a long time coming.

02:01:04
Speaker 5: I'm not talking too much this.

02:01:08
Speaker 4: Yeah, when you have some when you have a guest on and they just like don't want to talk or don't say very many words, is it kind of tougher? Oh yeah, you've been doing great.

02:01:16
Speaker 2: That's tough when they don't.

02:01:18
Speaker 1: You want to talk. You want to talk about the uh, the the joke I had pulled with the Caleb Presley death.

02:01:25
Speaker 5: You're still thinking about that? Huh?

02:01:27
Speaker 1: Every now and then it crosses my mind, Well, what you you're close? You're close with Caleb, being close with Caleb, like we're kind of connected.

02:01:33
Speaker 5: Yeah.

02:01:34
Speaker 7: I just went on.

02:01:35
Speaker 5: I just went on a camping trip with Glennie Balls this weekend.

02:01:38
Speaker 1: Oh you really?

02:01:40
Speaker 4: I saw he was on your show and I start about food like the whole time.

02:01:43
Speaker 5: Oh, I mean, he just he he he. You know, he's part of a cheese group or whatever he is. I mean, you cannot. He's just he's remarkable. He's just like a human kitchenette. He just loves.

02:01:58
Speaker 1: Cuisine.

02:01:59
Speaker 5: Oh that's the word, thank.

02:02:01
Speaker 4: You, dude.

02:02:03
Speaker 5: He fucking loves cuisine. He'll put a dip in and it's fucking camon Bear. You know, you're like this motherfucker, but it's a very refined canon bear. You know, he's the kind of guy who'll fucking put buffalo sauce in each shoot is to fucking feel it coming through his feet.

02:02:20
Speaker 4: You know, he's soaking it in.

02:02:21
Speaker 5: He just he has a way with experiencing taste right, and it's magnificent to watch.

02:02:28
Speaker 2: Dude.

02:02:28
Speaker 5: He is he's living the.

02:02:29
Speaker 4: Dream, eating a Sunday, eating a Sunday. Every interview given a man who just loves taste.

02:02:36
Speaker 5: And I'll rat him out. You know, he's been using just whipped cream and pretending it's a Sunday to same one calories, no balls type ship, homie. It's sad.

02:02:48
Speaker 4: This man loves taste. He's got buffalo sauce on his feet just to feel it coming through his feet. And he told me now he's got whipped cream.

02:02:54
Speaker 5: Even the greats cut corners. Man, he's the Pete Rose of fucking his generation.

02:03:00
Speaker 7: Damn, what'd you go camping at?

02:03:02
Speaker 5: We went? Jimmy John has Jimmy John, the Sandwich Guy, the top Turkey Tom. People call him there. He is right there, and he's so fit these days. Man, he lost a ton of way. He's looking great. He has a summer camp every summer where he invites his friends and families that come. And it's in Wisconsin, and I think the lake is maybe called Bond Lake. Can you look it up, Mark or somebody. What's the guy's name, Sherman, Sherman who did sign with the fucking Bangles, you pussy? Was that guy's named Sherman or not?

02:03:38
Speaker 1: Well, he actually just signed signed.

02:03:41
Speaker 5: I'm not saying they misspelled it, but you know what I'm saying is crazy Tomato Tomtato.

02:03:50
Speaker 4: Camp, Jack Pun.

02:03:51
Speaker 5: That's where it is. Yeah, And uh, I thought it was on Bond Lake. No, that's what I thought it was on. Let's do so jumping on that little recon. I'm sorry guys, and I'm sorry Sherman, but it was yeah, and it was just great.

02:04:07
Speaker 11: Man.

02:04:07
Speaker 5: You're up there and there's like different families coming their kids are there and these kids have been meeting up during the summers, and there's like cabins and like, and I got put in a cabin. It was me Glenny Uh, this guy Ryan Rodham, and this guy Trace Ayala. You guys might know Trace. Maybe there was a lot of leapers for it, guys. And it was awesome. We thought it was gonna be a bummer. Y know what's that lake?

02:04:26
Speaker 2: Great?

02:04:27
Speaker 5: There there we go. Good call dude, it's beautiful, dude, and we were just I got to go. So we're all in these cabins and like there's like a band that plays at night and Jeremy Uh from from litt.

02:04:43
Speaker 4: Can we forget about the things we said when I was drunk.

02:04:47
Speaker 5: I.

02:04:49
Speaker 3: Please tell me why?

02:04:51
Speaker 1: Cool?

02:04:52
Speaker 4: Thank you? That's that's my genres.

02:04:54
Speaker 5: Escape us from frommer No. Jeremy pop off too, that's who it is. He played bro. It was for can. Yeah, it was great. And then like different bands played. I can't remember some of the names. J. J. Gray played and the mofos. But yeah, at night there's bands. Dude, Emerald Lagassi played the fucking drums.

02:05:14
Speaker 7: Dude on.

02:05:17
Speaker 5: Uh A C d C. I think it might have been Highway to Hell or something? Is that them?

02:05:24
Speaker 4: D for sure?

02:05:25
Speaker 5: Freaking Lagossi. I will send you guys a video of it. It is Bombers.

02:05:29
Speaker 4: I don't know who that is.

02:05:31
Speaker 5: Emerald Lagossi one of the greatest chefs of our oh no ship.

02:05:35
Speaker 4: He's a chef that played the drums.

02:05:36
Speaker 5: Yeah, he's a legend.

02:05:38
Speaker 2: Dude.

02:05:38
Speaker 4: That's awesome. But and so how did you you became boys with Jimmy John because because I know Caleb's close.

02:05:45
Speaker 2: Yeah.

02:05:45
Speaker 5: I was a huge fan of the sandwich. I was a huge fan of the Turkey Tom. I've been a Turkey Tom guy since I was you know, since they started having him and they started serving.

02:05:55
Speaker 4: Is it Back in college? Was JJ Gargantua. That was my go to because.

02:05:58
Speaker 1: That is the heavy boy. That was like the one thousand calory.

02:06:01
Speaker 5: Yeah.

02:06:02
Speaker 7: That's a lot, yeah a lot.

02:06:04
Speaker 2: Yeah.

02:06:05
Speaker 4: We gotta put that down. We got to keep the weight up. I had to keep the weight up the whole time.

02:06:08
Speaker 5: I would hate to have to eat that and eat that late at night, just like a big pig.

02:06:14
Speaker 4: Dude. My freshman year of college, I weighed two fifty four and I had to I had to gain a bunch of weight, and so I would have uh J J Gargantuan at night, and then I would have Chicken Alfredo at three in the morning from Chicken Alfredo. Yeah, from Peter Piper Pizza, like three in the morning. And I go to a workout six am workout and I throw up, Oh yeah, buddy, we do like high perchavy stuff. What's that crazy, dude. I was there a lot. I was running the toilet a lot then, but I was just there.

02:06:42
Speaker 1: I am that's a chicken Alfred.

02:06:46
Speaker 5: Chicken out, yes, yes, and almost as like will a little.

02:06:52
Speaker 4: Will's neck and are the same size.

02:06:55
Speaker 5: Close your eyes a little that Will Will's one twelve Filipino dude, batten down those hatches, man, the uh but no, it's sorry. It's incredible up there. And it was just like so yeah, and all day there's like jet skiing and people fishing and stuff, and like they make food, you know, he makes nice meals and everything. So it's just like a great time. Anyway, felt lucky to get to go and we had a great time out there. But I just got back with Glenny was there and he had there's a cheese cheesemonger sent some cheeses for us and fine cheeses and crackers, and so we would eat those sometimes and just spend there. You go, that's sure, that's all. That's two I.

02:07:36
Speaker 4: That's two I. So you had a good time at.

02:07:39
Speaker 5: Camp anyway, we had a great time.

02:07:40
Speaker 4: Yeah, it was good. It was a good time at camp Glenny Balls.

02:07:42
Speaker 5: Do you guys, will you take a vacation with your family?

02:07:45
Speaker 1: I did?

02:07:45
Speaker 4: I was, so I was in Canada from the end of June all the way to July twenty first. My wife's from BC.

02:07:51
Speaker 1: And live out there.

02:07:52
Speaker 5: Yeah, that's beautiful on the island out there.

02:07:54
Speaker 4: No, No, that's Victoria. That's also a beautiful place. I've been out there before. But we go, we've been doing this for like four or five years now. Will go stay at Taylan's mom's apartment. It's like fourteen hundred square feet, maybe smaller than that two bedroom and it's me, my wife, both of our kids, and her and we just shack up for a whole month.

02:08:13
Speaker 5: And the mother and the mother oh wow, what's her name? Her name is Tannahie mss.

02:08:19
Speaker 4: Hannah's a rock star.

02:08:20
Speaker 1: She is.

02:08:21
Speaker 4: She's like maybe the greatest type of grandmother you can possibly that's great. Yeah, she's amazing. The kids. That's us in Bamps. That's where Will just was. That's us a couple of years ago. That that West Coast Canada. Everything's a screensaver out there. You walk outside, it is very, very beautiful.

02:08:39
Speaker 5: Yeah, Canada is so great, dude. I would not mind marrying someone from Canada. There you go, you know, but I think Canada is great. Just had it showing. Winnipeg. Got to meet the trailer park boys. Dude, Oh, how was that unbelievable. Someone's here, Someone's mom's looking for him. I'm not even joking.

02:08:59
Speaker 4: As do some shit on the ground and left Miss Tan.

02:09:03
Speaker 5: Bring them in, dude.

02:09:07
Speaker 4: Park boys.

02:09:08
Speaker 5: Yeah, they were just so great man, just bubbles in the gang, A lot of great guys. They were blasted when I got there. Yeah, they were trying to see if the fire would burn them and it did well. But that's the point when people aren't doing well, we know the answer. So yeah, but that was great, dude. And then Winnipeg just yeah, it was really it was cool. I've never been I met Josh Morris Morris c he plays hockey. Have you heard of him? He plays hockey. I met him in a little bathhouse somewhere up in Seattle. And so he invited me to a game or whatever. But I haven't been to a game, but he but we got to go to Winnipeg and they're great, Yeah, will run.

02:09:52
Speaker 1: What's going on? Oh?

02:09:55
Speaker 4: Single Canadian women?

02:10:00
Speaker 5: Did not know she was married?

02:10:03
Speaker 4: Yeah?

02:10:03
Speaker 5: I feel like Shawn Mendez is a man.

02:10:08
Speaker 4: But rumored to be gender fluid. Oh okay, so that's that's good.

02:10:13
Speaker 5: There's an option me and Cam somewhere where we was at Oh SEC Championship. That was fun, dude, Dude, Sometimes you can't even believe all the fun places you got to go.

02:10:23
Speaker 4: Isn't that the craziest thing when you when you get to kind of reflect in your life a little bit and realize, like, look how much dope ship you get to do and go and be a part of. And people be like, yeah, you can have front row tickets to this, you can go to that's the water is a perfect example, head coach, right, And that's also, Yeah, your fandom is so unique to me because you're wearing a Vanderbilt shirt. We talked about Diego, who's an awesome cat. You're pouring a water cooler on hypel.

02:10:47
Speaker 1: He's also LSU I assume.

02:10:49
Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, we also port LSU man. I mean, first of all, the SEC is great, bro, The SEC is a conference.

02:10:54
Speaker 4: Is a strong conference.

02:10:55
Speaker 5: It's a strong conference. It's one of the best conferences. I know you guys piddled inother conferences. Yeah, but it is so phenomenal. And I'm just joking, guys.

02:11:02
Speaker 2: You guys.

02:11:04
Speaker 5: Murder me right now.

02:11:05
Speaker 2: You know, conversation.

02:11:09
Speaker 1: The last two Natties.

02:11:10
Speaker 5: That's a good point, huh.

02:11:12
Speaker 4: And what the f N I L we can now pay players as well.

02:11:15
Speaker 1: You know where the SEC is going to get up on us. That documentary they got coming.

02:11:19
Speaker 4: Out, I know I saw it and it does look any given Saturday. Is that what's called?

02:11:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like, uh, it looks unreal. What is it called? Not like what's the like production company? Like the Untold Stories where they did the Corna Gators two thousand and eight. They broke that down. But there's like an SEC documentary coming out.

02:11:36
Speaker 4: I don't think the wait, this is the same company they did like Johnny Manziel's and.

02:11:40
Speaker 1: Like, actually this is this is like a quarterback okay production?

02:11:46
Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, yeah, this is gonna be good then, dude, Johnny Manziel and like the swamp Kings or whatever it was. They just kind of left out a lot of ship that's publicly known.

02:11:56
Speaker 1: But this right here, this documentary that's going to be coming.

02:11:58
Speaker 5: Out, it's fun man. I mean just the fact just like getting to be around the SEC has been crazy, you know, like it's just so great, and yeah, I wonder why. Yeah, they've passed two Natties. They haven't been able to figure it out.

02:12:16
Speaker 1: That's because everybody can pay players.

02:12:17
Speaker 4: That's well, yeah exactly, but what strong.

02:12:21
Speaker 5: Maybe they were the ones paying them before and they just like like, oh ship, you know, it makes you wonder what happened? Yeah, I know, I wish I woua had done. But I'm still pissed. Ay bad two years ago or whatever? Who Iowa the haw Coves whenever they had that good defense, remember like two or three might have been.

02:12:38
Speaker 1: They've always had.

02:12:39
Speaker 4: I think that's the year they lost to Michigan Championship.

02:12:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

02:12:44
Speaker 4: Because we went to that one, right, that was the cheating year.

02:12:46
Speaker 5: Yeah, they should have put Kaitlin Clark.

02:12:48
Speaker 4: That was a different year.

02:12:49
Speaker 1: No, no, no, that was.

02:12:51
Speaker 5: They literally should have put Kaitlyn Clark in you told me she's not gonna score at least eight points on offensive football.

02:12:56
Speaker 4: She's not scoring points.

02:12:58
Speaker 5: She'd figure it out.

02:13:00
Speaker 4: She's a stunt. She is, no doubt about it.

02:13:02
Speaker 5: She is a boss.

02:13:03
Speaker 4: She is single handedly bringing w n B a dude, I want making profit.

02:13:07
Speaker 5: I've watched probably almost all their games this year, No way, I watched ninety percent of their games.

02:13:14
Speaker 1: And she's tuning in because they want to see Kaylyn Clark.

02:13:16
Speaker 5: Yeah, she's been out, she's been injured. I'm friends with their boyfriend, Connor McCaffrey and their brother Patrick McCaffrey. Not to ed okay, but their dad was a coach at Iowa. He coached basketball over there. But they're great, dude, They're hilarious. But uh yeah, she's great that I just got somehow in it.

02:13:33
Speaker 2: I don't know.

02:13:34
Speaker 5: I just can relate to w NBA more. They can't.

02:13:36
Speaker 3: Don't.

02:13:37
Speaker 5: I can't jumping up at layups, rebounds, some.

02:13:41
Speaker 1: Of them are high.

02:13:42
Speaker 5: You're like, all right, yeah, yeah, Like let's say you know what I'm saying. It's a little bit more. You know. I just can't get attracted to these men on the NBA teams.

02:13:52
Speaker 4: Even fair enough, fair enough, if you're with we're in the Vennie with the Tennessee l s U, Like, do you pick a team every year, but I'm gonna go this team, or you just love the game, you just love watching the sport.

02:14:02
Speaker 5: No, I mean, I'm an LSU basketball fan at heart. That's my main Like, like, the team that I really love, that's what I grew up watching with my dad was LSU basketball. All the greats through there over the years, Ronald Dupree, Chris Jackson, uh Shaquille, O'Neil Stromiles Swift, big Baby you know, or behind Barbie they call him now. But all you know, I love LSU basketball, Dale Brown, those guys. So that's where but I yeah, and I like LSU football too. I support them. That's that's the home state, you know. But then living here, I like, I like, I support Tennessee because I live in this state now. And then Vanderbilt's the underdog. They've been the underdog, you know what I'm saying. I think they're the and I always love the underdog. So yeah, it's kind of all over the place, but that's where I'm at, you know, And the SEC has just been such a blast. Dude, we got to go to some do some shows at some SEC campuses. Right, so we're outside at Arc Saw. Right, we're outside and this guy comes up and he's driving a golf cart and it's Sam. What's Pittman? Now, what's the coach's name? Yeah, Sam and Pittman coach Pittman. Right, he comes up and he gets out pulling a picture. Big Sam. They call him or White Sam. I think they call him, and I said, I don't they I didn't. They don't call him that great guy though. He comes up and he gets out. He's like, hey, man, I used to meet you. Uh, And they'd let us use their gym to work out that day, just to get some you know, wellness in or whatever. And then he's like, you know, uh, tell me about Bobby. And I'm thinking he's talking about Bobby Kennedy Jr. Right, So for two minutes, I with my buddy A mir Kay at the other comedian. He's that's all the world. We're touring together, and he's great and so he's really great. Actually, if you if you haven't gotten to see him, a mer Kay. But we're we're we're Joe. We'd start talking about Bobby Kennedy we're doing impersonations of them, you know, like we got it.

02:16:04
Speaker 7: Yeah, let us is dirty, you know.

02:16:07
Speaker 5: This ship like that, you know, you know, like there's Filipinos. And so we go through all this for two and a minute. We're talking about Bbby.

02:16:18
Speaker 2: Kennedy and then he goes Bobby.

02:16:23
Speaker 5: And he was talking about Bobby Lee.

02:16:25
Speaker 1: Dude.

02:16:26
Speaker 4: Yeah, Coach Pittman.

02:16:28
Speaker 5: Is a Bobby Lee fan, and he was talking about that clip of me and Bobby. I was trying to impersonate his father one.

02:16:32
Speaker 1: Time, Buddy that.

02:16:35
Speaker 4: Yeah he leaked.

02:16:36
Speaker 5: Well, Bobby's Bobby doesn't give you any rules when you're talking to home. So it's like he blames everything on everybody else. But the simple fact that if he listened to all that, he didn't say one word. We're too. I mean, we're talking all about Robert Kennedy, his plans and everything in Maha, and then he's like, Bobby.

02:16:54
Speaker 1: Oh ship, you're talking about Bobby Lee.

02:16:56
Speaker 5: That was crazy, dude.

02:16:58
Speaker 4: We got to do Bad Friends podcast and that's probably my favorite podcast.

02:17:00
Speaker 1: We've ever done.

02:17:01
Speaker 5: What is it like to be honest?

02:17:03
Speaker 1: Though they're hilarious, like.

02:17:07
Speaker 4: They're a bit the entire time, they're constantly running essentially improv and they're just like feeding off each other.

02:17:11
Speaker 1: And I thought it was Bobby so like they're both just so funny. Like Santino, he's just so witty. Bobby, he talks about whatever. You kind of don't know where you're at on the total pole. Bobby just the way he talks or kind of makes you know.

02:17:23
Speaker 5: Oh yeah, he's like something that just.

02:17:26
Speaker 4: Yeah. But I knew Bobby from Matt TV growing up. I thought Matt TV was was so funny and so getting able to hang out him. Obviously knew Santino a little bit, like I knew his comedy career, but like just being around him their energy is is awesome.

02:17:39
Speaker 5: Ye.

02:17:41
Speaker 4: Yeah, you see Santino kind of like kind of running the show from a sense, like he's keeping direction on it. Yes, but then they'll both go down this like crazy path and you just got to try to keep up. Yeah, and I think that is so much fun. But for Bobby to say, pretend to be my father and you not to try to use an Asian accent, like that's you went the right direction.

02:18:00
Speaker 5: You can't just credit his freaking father, dude. Yeah, exactly passed away also, Yeah, yeah, allegedly or whatever. Dude, he could easily just slip off into a pack of Asians at Disney World and who would even fucking know you know what I'm saying, and rip mister Lee.

02:18:19
Speaker 4: Yeah, we had a little note from Shrham here. Did happy to give more to approach you?

02:18:25
Speaker 5: Yeah? Yeah, I got I asked to do because oh yeah, because the Bad Friends guys are in that podcast. Yeah, their podcast is in it. Yeah yeah, they reached out about it, but we were just it was just like a busy time and I just couldn't handle like saying like yes, I think I was just like it's been kind of a tough year, just keeping like like you know, trying to keep sobriety under wraps, trying to stay on top of recovery like that kind of shit, and then like getting like overwhelmed.

02:18:51
Speaker 1: You know, Yeah, I mean you got the podcast you're touring.

02:18:54
Speaker 5: I can, you know, I can. You know, I'm a dumb fish, you know I can fucking you know, swim a little bit. Well, I can get a They put that shiner out there and I'll go after it. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll buy the same thing every time. Yeah, yeah, tell somebody back in there. Fiel A lou rep Bag. Oh there it is again. I'm gonna get that, and then you're in some guy's boat or whatever.

02:19:14
Speaker 6: You know.

02:19:14
Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, so.

02:19:16
Speaker 4: I happy to get more too. It was like, we can't be doing.

02:19:18
Speaker 1: This right now.

02:19:18
Speaker 7: I did.

02:19:18
Speaker 5: It was like a lot, and it was with the podcast. I just didn't know what was going on. I just didn't even have a chance to really hear or hear it out. I kind of like, I think it's awesome that they came out. They got a ton of cameos. So I watched like twenty minutes of it.

02:19:31
Speaker 4: Yeah, So what was your take on those twenty minutes?

02:19:33
Speaker 5: It seemed fine, man. I mean it's like I felt like it's really an homage to Happy gi More Yeah, and to the whole universe like that they maybe they wanted to do it because.

02:19:46
Speaker 7: It's just such a big.

02:19:47
Speaker 5: Part of lore in life. You know that you want to kind of come out and almost like not take a bow, but you know, take a very entertaining bow. So I want to watch the rest of it. I think it's cool that they got a shooter back in it, and like characters that you love, and like I want to see his kids more in it, So I just started watching it.

02:20:06
Speaker 4: Yeah, I finished it this weekend. I thought it was like we were talking about on the intro before you came on. Anybody who watches that show and tries to put it right next to the original Happy Gilmore and seeing it through the wrong lens.

02:20:18
Speaker 1: Right like you're trying to do like an actual sequel that's not the expect.

02:20:22
Speaker 4: Is like, yeah, like this has been however many years. It's almost been thirty years since the movie's come out, and it's like, let's have some fun happy bringing back these old characters. Have a bunch of cameos. I love this storyline. I thought like the last twenty minutes of the movie was a little fast. They could have joked that out a little bit longer to have a little more like context. You'll see you'll see when you finish it. But I enjoyed the movie thoroughly.

02:20:46
Speaker 5: I was bummed the mom died out the gate though.

02:20:48
Speaker 4: That that was the spoiler I was.

02:20:53
Speaker 1: Trying to give. It's okay, I'll still watch and enjoy it. It's happy, be good More too, So.

02:20:59
Speaker 4: Real quick was real quick. The reason I think the reason why is the show is the movie came out in ninety six. Sandler got married in three and so I'm sure that, like the love interest thing was a little tough because all of his kids are also in the movie.

02:21:15
Speaker 5: That's those real kids.

02:21:16
Speaker 1: Those are real.

02:21:16
Speaker 4: Kids, like the girl doing ballet, the ballet teachers, his mom.

02:21:20
Speaker 1: The boys.

02:21:21
Speaker 4: The boys are not yeah.

02:21:22
Speaker 5: Yeah, and so that's most of his kids.

02:21:24
Speaker 2: The boys.

02:21:26
Speaker 4: No, no, no, he's got two girls. He does, yeah, two girls. But the boys that plays boys in the movie are not paint on. Their characters were awesome, by the way. Yeah, those four guys did a great job just being a little psychopaths.

02:21:39
Speaker 5: I got to pay attention, man. I think I was vaping while I was watching it.

02:21:44
Speaker 4: Why don't you do a little nicotine, you know, nicotine.

02:21:47
Speaker 7: I don't like that.

02:21:48
Speaker 5: I don't want I just don't like reaching into my mouth around a bunch of other men.

02:21:54
Speaker 4: Yeah that's fair, Yeah, same for sure.

02:21:58
Speaker 5: It just feels like, what are we doing.

02:22:00
Speaker 4: Dude, Lucy, that's what you want right there?

02:22:04
Speaker 5: I want to put this in your mouth. Some guy says, it's like, I'm not what are you guys doing? It's three milligrams. I don't give a ship going to the bathroom and put it in. But I'm not putting it in and out here. But yeah, so yeah, so what else?

02:22:20
Speaker 2: Dude? Yeah?

02:22:22
Speaker 4: Did you want to playing sports?

02:22:24
Speaker 5: Yeah?

02:22:24
Speaker 1: Dude, I saw that route at tighten you a little shaky. Well, you're probably nervous going out there in front of everybody too.

02:22:33
Speaker 5: Yeah. First of all, one guy's arm was five and a half feet long, so that should be illegal. I feel like people with no arms. Yeah, greedy motherfucker's running around all armed out, fucking army hammer. Look at this guy leg arms over here, this guy who wears shoes on his hands sometimes for fun. You got the right cleats, Diego gave me those cleats.

02:23:04
Speaker 2: Man.

02:23:05
Speaker 5: I did get off of him and he didn't track, so that's on him. And the field was uneven yea, so oh that's why a lot of Vanderbil players, you see him, their left leg is a lot stronger.

02:23:17
Speaker 1: Than the.

02:23:19
Speaker 5: Practice field done even, dude, that was fun, dude, that was fun being out there with Diego out there. I'm a Pavia fan, So you guys should get him to do it like a like a football the America or whatever.

02:23:33
Speaker 4: What do you what do you think the expectations are for Vanderbilt.

02:23:37
Speaker 1: Because Diego is confident, we can kind of recruit him a little bit. When he was on the.

02:23:42
Speaker 5: Show, Hey, listen, you had to bring it down, bring it down.

02:23:45
Speaker 1: It's like, buddy, you are you're a you're a good player, you're a great player. But Vandy actually went in the SEC title little thing in.

02:23:53
Speaker 4: My house on Friday and Kate is cornering me in my pool being like, we're gonna win the national championship. Was he you had to take us to Vegas?

02:24:00
Speaker 5: Who came, Hey, McConnell, Yes.

02:24:03
Speaker 4: Is it McConnell. Yeah, yeah, he's been an intern for us for two months.

02:24:06
Speaker 5: Oh great, Yeah, he's entertaining, And dude.

02:24:09
Speaker 4: He's like, yeah, we're gonna win the NAST Championship, like you guys are not. He's like, you're hating. I was like, no, I'm aware.

02:24:15
Speaker 5: Well it sounds crazy coming off the lips.

02:24:17
Speaker 4: What Yeah. Could you imagine the Vanderbilt hosting hoisting the trophy?

02:24:23
Speaker 5: It would be crazy. They would probably use like a they would design a hoist probably first of all, because they're Vanderbilt, right, dude. The craziest thing was was when they beat Alabama last year. They're they tried. They're taking those goalposts right we left. We left the stadium probably forty minutes after the game, went over to twelve thirty Club to get some neat. We're sitting upstairs and the windows are open so you could see all the people that's going down and uh, look at that guy fucking Aura Farm and get your ship up. That kind of shit. Fucking it's cultural appropriation, first of all. But oh yeah, there he is. I'm trying to get a zen from one of his buddies. Anyway, they try to Valet park the fucking uh goalpost.

02:25:16
Speaker 2: Dude.

02:25:16
Speaker 5: They were like at uh whatever that's called Smith and Wolinski's or something like, can we can we park these with the fucking Valet guy. That guys like, what the fuck you want me to do with them?

02:25:24
Speaker 2: Dude?

02:25:25
Speaker 5: So then they threw them all the way down in the river. That's crazy, Yeah, but the simple fact is just the utter like, oh, well Valet parked them. That's some fancy Vanderbilt kid thought that, you know. Yeah, yeah, but what a great time for them. That night was amazing, dude, that was amazing.

02:25:44
Speaker 1: Yeah.

02:25:44
Speaker 5: I just love the underdog. If somebody, you know, if somebody's underdog. I can't help but really be locked in for him. I think it would be cool to see him win, I guess, But can they Well they it depends on how good Virginia Tech is out of the gate. To boost their confidence, bring up their skins if you don't mind.

02:26:02
Speaker 4: I love going through this, but win lose probably is the happy He's like the most excited dude in the world.

02:26:09
Speaker 5: But if you guys did, like, yeah, busting with the with the Ermano's boy ermanos Y, Yeah, busting with this.

02:26:23
Speaker 1: Builder, Yeah, build the Mexican Democrats.

02:26:27
Speaker 4: Hint, Yeah, they might have two l's out of the gate.

02:26:30
Speaker 5: Okay, hold on, that's a lot to say. Can we zoom in a little bit because in South Carolina, Well, first of all, they're playing Charleston Southern out of the gate.

02:26:38
Speaker 1: Yeah, Charles, yeah up there August thirty.

02:26:41
Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, that's a win. We'll take that.

02:26:44
Speaker 5: They lost him last year.

02:26:46
Speaker 4: Okay, you're thinking, so what are we talking about now?

02:26:49
Speaker 5: You think you're thinking they lost to Georgia State. And I am sorry for confusing those teams, but everybody does.

02:26:58
Speaker 4: Yeah, Vandy, I'm a fan of Bandy, but we're just we want to know Virginia Tech they beat him an overtime last year. Yeah, but it's give Virginia Tech. It's optimistic, optimistic they they they're two or no, they're in South Carolina.

02:27:16
Speaker 1: I think that's an L.

02:27:16
Speaker 4: That's an L.

02:27:18
Speaker 5: How good is south? How good is that South Carolina quarterback going to be this year?

02:27:21
Speaker 7: The country?

02:27:23
Speaker 4: Yeah?

02:27:24
Speaker 7: A game a.

02:27:26
Speaker 5: Game Cock single ones or no? He did, you're also a game Cox thing? You're also okay? So what are you doing talking about?

02:27:37
Speaker 6: Mother?

02:27:38
Speaker 4: He fu?

02:27:38
Speaker 5: Damn dude, I got you dog? Yeah type ship homie but no, uh, Utah State who knows state? And then Bama? But will they be better than last year?

02:27:54
Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't even know what their roster baby is talking about. I have new black toys. Yeah said they're.

02:28:03
Speaker 5: Supposed to say chocolate heroes.

02:28:07
Speaker 4: So apparently they're gonna be better what.

02:28:09
Speaker 5: He can't say that?

02:28:11
Speaker 4: So we had Georgia State, who they lost you last year, and then beating Utah State, Alabama in Alabama, in Tuscalusa, then l s U Miszoo Texas.

02:28:23
Speaker 5: It doesn't get easier. I felt better for I got over here about it's tough.

02:28:28
Speaker 4: And it's like yes, I'm I'm fired up for Vanderbilt to be a competitive football team in the SEC.

02:28:33
Speaker 5: And rooting for the boys, like they got m K, they got Eli, they got some great dogs on there. Though they got them one of the top tight ends. I think there you go. So yeah, but we'll see what happens. Man, it'd be exciting for them. What team do you think in the SEC that's gonna that's gonna lay an egg? Who do you see a team that's gonna surprise people or negatively surprised people, unsurprised people, unsurprised them Tennessee.

02:28:57
Speaker 4: Wow, yeah, I could see that. Jack.

02:28:59
Speaker 1: That's not hate. That's not hate.

02:29:01
Speaker 9: Feels like it.

02:29:02
Speaker 10: No, Like, if it's a surprising people, we already lost a Nico or he choose to go somewhere else, Joey Aguilar coming in no tape for really anything in SEC plays.

02:29:14
Speaker 5: You guys had a Levin. Who's that guy Nico?

02:29:20
Speaker 10: But yeah, so I feel like the expectation is said already that like and your.

02:29:25
Speaker 4: Quarterbacks, your quarterback went to your quarterback went to Appalachian State, transferred to u C l A, and then Nico transfer UCLA. So he transferred to the.

02:29:36
Speaker 5: Quarterbacks swap.

02:29:37
Speaker 4: They basically just swapped.

02:29:38
Speaker 5: And do they play each other?

02:29:39
Speaker 9: No, we don't figure it out.

02:29:43
Speaker 5: Yeah, we can't play each other. Why you both have fucking trucks and buses and gas money? Figure it the fuck out.

02:29:51
Speaker 4: They should play. Sure you put you brought up Auburn? Why do you think Auburn? I think they're getting Yeah, there's a microphone.

02:29:58
Speaker 8: A lot of people are saying the same thing that they're saying about Nebraska with Matt Rule, that it's usually the third year is when lightning strikes.

02:30:05
Speaker 1: For free striking Lincoln, Nebraska. And I do believe in the Matt rule hype.

02:30:11
Speaker 8: I do not believe as much with the Hugh Freeze hype.

02:30:16
Speaker 4: You know who owns Hugh Freeze.

02:30:17
Speaker 1: I think surprising good year is South Carolina, and I think surprising just the expectation. Jack You might have minimal expectations, but I think Tennessee being good the last few years. I think it'll be like them taking.

02:30:29
Speaker 5: A little What about Ole miss what's gonna happen with him? They lost Jackson Dart, who's a quarterback coming.

02:30:35
Speaker 1: Every year they have talking about this next quarterback.

02:30:38
Speaker 2: The one their freshman or he was a freshman last year who got in a couple of games because Jackson was hurt. But he's a stud. He played baseball too, could throw like ninety two miles anar, he's a lefty, he's an athlete.

02:30:49
Speaker 5: You know what interest to see there is Tech Simmons.

02:30:52
Speaker 4: What does Texas do because they have the last couple years been pretty incredible and now they're I think.

02:30:58
Speaker 5: And people are not even talking about him.

02:31:00
Speaker 4: Yeah, they're talking about him winning the Heisman?

02:31:01
Speaker 5: Are they really?

02:31:02
Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, they're talking about I think I saw a thing. This might have been like troll, someone trolling, but it was like NFL teams are already like wanting him, and it's like he hasn't even.

02:31:12
Speaker 1: Played because they're paying Like the connections of who's the agent of the Mannings, who's the agent and works with the was it the Browns or the Saints? So people are putting together like if they lose, like arch maning going to you know what I mean?

02:31:26
Speaker 8: Arch the favorite to win the Heisman. According to Fandel, arch Mans might get him, then.

02:31:34
Speaker 1: He's gonna I think he's gonna be a stud.

02:31:35
Speaker 5: What about nuss Meyer? How does he do over there?

02:31:38
Speaker 12: Head He's solid. I think what he was last year.

02:31:42
Speaker 5: Mm hmm. Interesting, It's interesting.

02:31:45
Speaker 1: Man.

02:31:46
Speaker 5: You know who was really cool that I got to meet was the Texas A and M quarterback.

02:31:51
Speaker 4: Who's that mar.

02:31:53
Speaker 1: Mar Yeah, Rsell Reese. Nice guy, he's gonna be He's gonna be good to have you been doing?

02:32:00
Speaker 5: I'm not is it great?

02:32:02
Speaker 4: It's it's Coltish very cool.

02:32:06
Speaker 5: Yeah, I would love to. Yeah, this guy and some of him his buddies, kid, they came to a show one time. It was it was awesome, man, just class act. And you know who was the coolest dude? The guy from Alabama took us around their campus.

02:32:19
Speaker 2: The quarterback.

02:32:21
Speaker 5: Tye Yes, I mean dude, that guy I wish the best. Their whole squad, they had like five guys another guy that just got drafted for them, but they all liked they spend like half the day with us. I mean, oh, Tyler Booker, bro just they I mean they literally spend half the day with us like they probably should have been in school, right, I'm not gonna say that, but but they like just took us around and like we're just like it was awesome, dude, that was really cool.

02:32:52
Speaker 4: Tyler Booker is one of those cats. It's just like one of the best people.

02:32:57
Speaker 1: Like he loves the game so much. Like when he ends up, it's the quote where he talks about you see the life leave them to where they're not having fun anymore playing football.

02:33:04
Speaker 4: That's why he loves playing My god. Yeah, And like zag Martin retires, who's going to be a Hall of Famer and then just go pick up Tyler Buker to replace him?

02:33:13
Speaker 2: Yeah?

02:33:14
Speaker 4: What what number was he was? He sixteen in the draft?

02:33:19
Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean he was.

02:33:20
Speaker 4: He was right around that area because that's that's where Zach Martin got picked in twenty fourteen. Do you twelve?

02:33:26
Speaker 5: Okay, do you think Tennessee how will they be better this year? Tennessee volunteers are Titans, Tennessee Titans.

02:33:33
Speaker 4: I think they could be better? I did, dude.

02:33:36
Speaker 2: I know.

02:33:36
Speaker 4: They had like a little scrimmage in Nissan Stadium, and I saw some of the throws that cam Ward made and it looked it was very impressive, his moving in and out of the pocket, across the body. Throws a deep onet Calvin Ridley, and then there was one it might have been Calvin as well, but it was like triple coverage and he put it in the only place that his receiver could catch it. There was a couple and it's like highlights, right, we're showing we're showing some stuff.

02:34:00
Speaker 5: But yeah, I'm impressed, baby girl. I like it.

02:34:03
Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm impressed with Will. Like the Will Levis stuff happening. They asked Cam about it, and Cam is like, I'm focused on Cam Woard. I can't.

02:34:10
Speaker 5: Somebody said they took a muscle out of Will Levis and put it in a cam Ward. That's what the surgery was about.

02:34:14
Speaker 4: Really, that's I could see that there was there was Will Levis is a built individual.

02:34:21
Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. He had extra, had extra and it was part of the part of some deal they made.

02:34:27
Speaker 4: But I think I think, you know, we gotta have cautious expectations of the Titans this year.

02:34:34
Speaker 1: You can't be I think they'll be better than they were.

02:34:36
Speaker 4: They will be better than they were last year.

02:34:37
Speaker 5: They're in a tough division.

02:34:38
Speaker 4: I hope made that up, not necessarily.

02:34:43
Speaker 5: Yeah, they'll be fine.

02:34:44
Speaker 4: You got the other Texans j.

02:34:46
Speaker 1: Stroud J Stroud, Jacksonville Jaguars getting Travis Hunter.

02:34:50
Speaker 4: What else Travis and Travis is like I'm excited to watch him play. I saw that the first two days of camp he was on the defensive side of the ball, and they're like, today he's going to the offensive side of the ball, and that's just badass. You did something you've never seen before.

02:35:01
Speaker 9: Dude.

02:35:01
Speaker 5: Were you guys just I'm gonna change the topic.

02:35:03
Speaker 2: Is that all right?

02:35:04
Speaker 4: Yeah?

02:35:04
Speaker 5: Yeah, when you guys left, uh, barstool? Was that scary? And now does it feel different? Like, because I've been thinking a lot about like fear and like what's on the other side of fear, right, like and how things present themselves and they're scary and then like how things are often like different on the other side. Was it scary or did you guys? You guys were like, this is we know, this is the thing to do.

02:35:29
Speaker 1: I think it was uncomfortable at first, like even going in and knowing that the deal was going to shake up and we're going to go independent and do a new thing before our contract was even up.

02:35:37
Speaker 5: And I know it's been a while, but we haven't got to talk about it.

02:35:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, our contract was up in February and I want to say in March.

02:35:43
Speaker 4: First contracts really been four months.

02:35:45
Speaker 1: Right, but we had it figured out that we're going to leave in like November, yeah, November ish, And at first, it's like it's intimidating, it's scary because you got you know, you're with a you're with an infrastructure and an audience of Barstool Sports. It's just crazy, like they're there me their fan base ever, thing is massive, and so when you started to get on the other side of it, or when it was coming up, you kind of feel weird around seeing everybody for the last time and then getting to the other side of it. I want to say, like that first month there was some you're you're just nervous about being uncomfortable and doing something new because you know, like when you're going independent, it's kind of all on you. You don't have like all the help you know, and personalities, the playoff of we knew when we were leaving, like we probably wouldn't be on a whole lot of things that involve them, So it's kind of like you're you're kind of pushing your own boat at that point.

02:36:32
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean being with Barsel, I mean they were always so great to us. Oh yeah, it was definitely safer staying, but like at the end of like eventually you have to like take a leap of faith. I think the phrase you use is like jump up when you can afford the drink. Yeah, drump we you can afford to drowning. It felt like at that point I was like, this is the opportunity for us to like see if we're really, if we're really able to stand up on our own and do these things. We got with great partners that have like have access that gave us the ability to do stuff, more stuff with the NFL because like Barstool and NFL have a whole thing. We obviously a big NFL podcast. So it's like, oh, these are like these new avenues we can kind of go down, but you never know like how it's gonna work. Right now, it's going well like the first like Will was just saying, the first month, it's like, oh fuck, like this is a little scary. And then now as you're getting into the fall, like we're starting to get our fall together, figure out the schedule, it seems like it's gonna be like a massive year and you just hope it's gonna be what it is. But yeah, leaving them was tough. I think the hardest thing was calling Dave like Will, and I said.

02:37:31
Speaker 5: Who actually who used Will phone a lot?

02:37:37
Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, and so dude, we sat there when we made the decision because we went back and forth a bunch and yeah, scary. Eventually it was like, okay, we have to call Dave. And you see, like the time of day was when you called sorry like one, well you guys eating or not?

02:37:53
Speaker 1: I can't remember neither ate or.

02:37:55
Speaker 4: Still was maybe.

02:37:58
Speaker 5: Gangster And do work on an empty stomach is fucking crazy, dude, only quit work on a full stomach day, right the two if you out of work and empty stomach is a horrible place of it. Yes, wow, were like motherfucking Christopher Columbus.

02:38:22
Speaker 9: Wow.

02:38:23
Speaker 4: We sat there with like a whiteboard full of full of pros and cons and it's like, all right, this is the decision we're gonna make. We've talked about it, and we go to call Dave and Will goes to press. It's all super dramas. We have like the phone down and we'll go depressed Dave Portnoy and we misses. He misses like the button of pressed too. Actually called Dave. So we took a five. Yeah, all the things you see, Dave and the breakups and the champagne bottles, and you're like, you just he's been so good to us and we have such a great relationship with him, and it's like you don't want to fuck things up because like what if this is not the move? You have all these doubts going on. We called him and I don't know, I think it went ten times better than we thought it would. Yeah, he was nothing but supportive, nothing but supportive.

02:39:04
Speaker 1: Because then like the number got to the number got to because I think at first we think we're probably not gonna leave, maybe we can leverage and get Barsel to where we want him to be. And then it got to be where it's like this feels like a no brainer, even though it feels super uncomfortable. And then yeah, when it went down, like Dave was awesome about it, right, and uh yeah it was wild. Yeah, it was wild.

02:39:23
Speaker 5: Yeah, because I think there's a lot of people out there. Sorry, you're gonna say something.

02:39:26
Speaker 4: I was just gonna say. The last time we saw it, Dave, he stood us up at dinner for two hours.

02:39:30
Speaker 1: That was that was deserved though. That was well on my part, on my part, what you do I've missed? Like you know, I've been laid. We were at Nebraska. We were late getting the dinner.

02:39:38
Speaker 4: Yeah, but it was also the Mahomes thing.

02:39:40
Speaker 1: I left early from the I left early from the super Bowl dinner, which I didn't know that that was a like we used to get a little Yeah, well I know, but you know they they keeps keeps it tight. Yeah, he keeps it tight.

02:39:51
Speaker 4: But yeah, yeah, yeah, Dave was nothing but good.

02:39:53
Speaker 1: You were saying something about for for other people other podcasts.

02:39:57
Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I'm missinking like in general, like like the fear of talking to a boss, or the fear of saying something right. I was just like in this meeting this morning and somebody was talking about like the fear of like telling a girlfriend something or you know, and then you like carry around this fear for so long, like when I think in my life of like how many fears I've been, like things I've and then I'm just carrying around like it could be songs, be a liar, it could be something I want to do but I'm afraid to and for years I will have this every day. You should do it. You're not gonna this is why, and blah blah blah.

02:40:25
Speaker 1: You have to stay.

02:40:26
Speaker 5: But instead of talking with the person or whatever it is, and it's kind of different than what y'all are talking about. I don't really know why I'm talking about it, but but instead of doing that, I'll just it's almost like when you see people keeping a balloon in the area. Ever see that game or whatever where it's like two kids and it's usually I don't want to call them out, but it's poor kids.

02:40:44
Speaker 1: Right you tew a balloon and NASA let's go.

02:40:48
Speaker 5: Yeah, first of all, yeah, if yeah, it's poor kids and they're like diving over fucking full ass trays and fucking that type of shit, you know, not if some of them have burned on their legs or whatever. Yeah, it is what it is. But yeah, and they're just trying to keep that balloon in the air. Like that's how I feel. So when I think back on like like just bullshit, I've cared instead of having a conversation. Yeah, it's it's totally different th way I was talking about. Don't know why I even try to relate those two things, but yeah, but I think some people are probably afraid to talk about stuff, and then they do and it's just like fuck, I kept myself in this cage for so this fucking playing just pickleball, just with myself and just just bullshit or whatever anyway, and you need to tell the truth.

02:41:35
Speaker 4: But it's like most most of the times you have those fears, but having conversations with people you're suffering, and then you finally have the conversation, I know, and it's way better than you thought it would go, and you're like, why was.

02:41:46
Speaker 1: I because the other person was probably feeling kind of the same and you're you're just a fall apart from each other and you're just assuming shit and it kind of just builds.

02:41:53
Speaker 4: The assumptions of what kills everybody from an anxiety standpoint. Dude, that thing we did my daughter the other day she called one of the kids my daughter. Yes, dude, I don't like talking about my kids. So like my my daughter was tell you kids at school, like Harry Potter, magic is real, and it's like, is it real?

02:42:14
Speaker 1: Is not?

02:42:15
Speaker 5: No?

02:42:15
Speaker 4: Is sorry? Is real? Is real? And it's not real? It's a movie.

02:42:23
Speaker 5: Yeah, that's true.

02:42:23
Speaker 4: That's true. Like I am a muggle, like I've never been blessed with a wand it's worked for me. But she's telling kids, it's coool, Like I'm having a hard time she's she's saying, Harry Potter magic is real. And then we're in Canada. She's like not sleeping, like she's having like a trouble going to sleep and stuff like that, and I'm like, what's going on. She finally relates, She's like, I told these kids that Harry Potter magic is real. I know it's not real, and I need to have a conversation with them to tell them that because it's it's basically eating her on the inside. Wow, I was eating her up. And like three nights ago, like the day after they came into work with me. Uh, they came in to work with me, like last week some time, and they we did a little podcast and she was like very vocal about like this is something that she's going through in her life right now. And that night we go to bed and it's like nine forty five and she's like, I can't sleep on my I might get the point, like dude, what do you need from me? Like what's keeping you up? She said, I think it's the Harry Potter thing. So I gave her the whole quote like those who suffer before it's necessary, suffer more than necessary, like Mark, Yeah, so right now, all you can control.

02:43:22
Speaker 5: Who do you play for?

02:43:23
Speaker 7: Who was that?

02:43:24
Speaker 1: He was Rome? He played for?

02:43:28
Speaker 5: Yeah, not bad I'm thinking of? Yeah, who am I thinking of?

02:43:32
Speaker 2: Marcus?

02:43:32
Speaker 5: Uh?

02:43:34
Speaker 4: Marcus?

02:43:36
Speaker 5: Is that somebody?

02:43:37
Speaker 1: Yeah?

02:43:37
Speaker 5: I mean Marcus Spears. Bring out Marcus Spears. He could have said that.

02:43:42
Speaker 4: He could have definitely said that what a beard too? Anyway, going, Yeah, So we had then conversations like all right, let's like let's have action items, like what do we need to do? We need these kids phone numbers. Okay, let's get the phone numbers. We'll give them a call. Like what if they don't want to be my friend anymore? I was like, if somebody doesn't want to be your friend because you lied to them but then told them the truth, they're probably not going to be It's not not gonna be a great friendship anyway. So she goes to sleep. The next day, my wife gets on the phone, gets one of the kids. She calls the kid. Dude, she calls the kid, and she like walks away. We practiced, We practiced on this bus. We practiced before that too. Her conversation and I walked over and watched my kid like look out the window, pacing, like seeing true anxiety. As she's like calling the kid and has the full conversation, and I have like tears in my eyes, like watching like my kid is essentially taking the next step towards adulthood, failing her proms, and like she finishes the call on my how do you feel? She's like I feel so much better and like it all. Like I told her the quote like four times since then because I wanted to be like in her brain. But like that night eight o'clock, she's like a sleep by eight thirty wow, and she's just like slept great, woke up like it was. It was awesome. So yeah, fear dude, what's the quid again? Those who suffered before it's necessary suffer more than necessary?

02:44:55
Speaker 5: Oh right, God, yeah years ago. I mean I've made a lot of amends, but yeah, some of those things just still eat up a little bit.

02:45:05
Speaker 4: You know, do actions of your past that you've already like admitted to eat you up still?

02:45:11
Speaker 5: I think sometimes not being a good boyfriend, probably at certain points in my life eats me up sometimes even though I've apology, you know, I've made amends and like I wasn't bad. I mean I was just like, I don't know, I didn't know what was going on. I think I was trying my best, but probably being afraid sometimes to speak up or have certain conversations, you.

02:45:28
Speaker 4: Know, or being transparent.

02:45:30
Speaker 5: Yeah, but I sometimes I couldn't tell what was real and what what was like an instinct and what was like a I just had a really bad gauge of like, uh, what was me believing something? Wait, let me think about it.

02:45:44
Speaker 1: What are you making something up? Or is it actually really?

02:45:47
Speaker 5: Yes, it was so hard for me to figure out, like what's fantasy and what's real? So is this me just wanting this to be real or is this real? It was just like some confusion. But because I think that's a man. I mean, that's me and a man right there.

02:46:04
Speaker 1: That's some old girlfriend conversation.

02:46:06
Speaker 5: That's my buddy Ryan Thomas did rip dude, he passed away, dude. He was a baller, great dude, great dancer, great dude, h creative. He went to Chico State. I believe I think he passed away up there, and my buddy Billy Conforto passed away. R Ip to him, man, r RP Billy Billy, one of the toughest gay men ever.

Speaker 1: And that's when you were in a network right before you kind of go solo dolo.

02:47:53
Speaker 5: Uh huh. And what's he doing now? I wonder, let's look that up. I just want to make sure because my team and my employees we've never received any recruitment from this gentleman. But yeah, Colin Thompson is his name, and it's okay to put his picture up there. I think creative executive, entrepreneurs, storyteller, that part's true. I mean, I definite scroll.

02:48:15
Speaker 1: What is his Uh it seems like he's still with with cast.

02:48:21
Speaker 5: I thought that they'd fallen apart, but no, those those days were fun, man. I mean the funnest is like the beginning of like podcasting. I remember Dustin Pourier was like one of the first like guests that we had come on that was like kind of like a celebrity guest and Tate Fletcher he came on. Yeah, that's him right there. Yeah, Tate Fletcher, Eddie Brobwood. Just like getting to like be around some of those guys and like it was so much fun. And we shared a wall with like King and the Sting and so we would like bang on each other's walls and ship and like talk shit. Like you know, when you're in a group, it's just like so much fun. I mean that's why even walking in here and seeing you guys' group and your studio and like you guys have employees and interns, and it's like I was like, Wow, this is a real thing you guys have going on, and it's awesome. Man, you guys are so inspiring. I think you guys have probably inspired a lot of other podcasters, a lot of other athletes that want to figure out something to do after their careers, you know, or figure out how to implement something, or be brave enough to even try something, you know, because yeah, I mean, you guys were kind of one of their early groups to it. I know they have like some other pods I'll see like Raw Room. Have you seen that one?

02:49:29
Speaker 4: Yeah?

02:49:31
Speaker 5: Yeah, Darren's great man. I remember meeting Darren over at the gym, and like I'll see clips of his come up sometimes and that really makes me like just excited to see these guys like, you know, just making things for themselves. I think, you know, because I bet it's got to be interesting after sports and after anything people do when things change, you know.

02:49:50
Speaker 1: Right when your identity is wrapped up into something for so long, talking to just athletics in general, and then it does end, it kind of ends before you expect, and then you're kind of thinking, like what am I What am I good at? What can we do?

02:50:01
Speaker 7: Yeah?

02:50:02
Speaker 5: Like my buddy's dad was gay or whatever, right or whatever, you know, but definitely he was gay. And then he left the mom and then he came back. He said he's not even gay anymore.

02:50:16
Speaker 4: Oh, he said, to figure it out.

02:50:18
Speaker 7: Yeah, but what if?

02:50:19
Speaker 10: So what do we do?

02:50:20
Speaker 5: It was like six years he was you know, just or I don't want to say being gay, but he was like pretty gay. And it's like, well he just and it's fine, you know what I'm saying. Whatever, Red rover, red rover, you know, but it's definitely got it. Be got it crazy or whatever. It was a crazy You think these days, who even knows, dude, you don't know. You know, you got to make love to a woman twice for even though she has a cockun her. These days, it's definitely turned into a crazy time.

02:50:52
Speaker 4: That is so funny.

02:50:54
Speaker 1: No, it's uh, that's cool to hear you said that too, because again, like the earlier or like the middle twenty ten's when all the podcasting was kind of happened and you would and all the comedians out there in LA, I feel like it was a big inspiration for for us too.

02:51:07
Speaker 9: We fought.

02:51:08
Speaker 1: I followed a lot of that stuff. When you guys would all get together across collaborate with you callin shab, you had Deliah, you had all these comedians. So much fun, dude, and some of the best moments and clips for just yeah, it was awesome. Yeah, it was cool. Yeah I did it. So I remember when honestly funny enough, Nick halt my boy back home. He put me on you and then like one of my first clips, like watching from you or not maybe not first clip, but like after following you for a little bit, seeing that clip Old Daniel on the hose.

02:51:39
Speaker 5: Out back, Oh yeah, that hot hose. He would take that first hit off that bitch whenever they whenever spring started up and they finally cut the hose back on, he would not even let it flow first. He would fucking put his mouth right on that bitch. Take that first hit. God, I mean, that's fucking crazy, dude. That is just a beer bong from Satan right there. Dude, they don't even make that type of shit, bro. That shit's two thousand proof. Dude. Shit had spiders in it, you know what I'm saying, That first fucking coming out of the earth, traveling through that entire hose, probably seventeen feet of fucking spiders and.

02:52:20
Speaker 1: Dirt burns you for a second four cools down.

02:52:23
Speaker 5: Oh, you would see his neck turned red when it was going in him. He had enough neck where you could just barely see it. But God, I remember that, dude. But yeah, dude, I remember, like in the beginning when we're talking, my boy Billy Conforto Dodge shot out Dude. He was like the first gay prize fighter or whatever out of Louisiana, and he would just beat the fucking straight out of you. You know, Rip Billy Mintz Man, he was a legendar. We were bustboys together and in HANSI. Yeah he was something. You know, he was you know, he was like fifteen years older than me, and it was and I was a child or whatever, but whatever, child saying shoot or shoot and uh. But yeah, he was kind of like he became like our like he was like so wee dollar friends, but he also became like our protector, like in high school, like his dude, we would go somewhere and he would get us all in the club. We'd all be fucked up kids in there. And then if people trying to fucking knock him out, dude, he was like Don Flamenco. Remember that guy from uh Mike Tyson's punch Out. Bring up Don Flamenco there, Yeah, I see that. Lets get a shot at him.

02:53:39
Speaker 1: Having him as a protector. Would you like go into the bar and kind of start some shit on your own, just see your boy knock.

02:53:43
Speaker 5: Him out or he was right there. He was Don fucking Flamenco. And he tried a lot of early hair plug action and shit. So his ship was crazy.

02:53:51
Speaker 2: Dude.

02:53:52
Speaker 5: He fucking sew his own eyebrows onto his scalp. That dude didn't give a fuck. He was like that, and he was a he trained these violent dolls, like these crazy like I don't say violent, but they you know, the ones that like kill a child every year or whatever, like pit bulls. So and I love how people are like they're the friendliest. That's fine, the friendliest, but they kill a child every year, you know. So it's like you have to just agree on both things. But yeah, dude, just being around him, just characters like that from my area. Dude, Billy was fucking hilarious, bro. His dude was unreal, and he would always think everybody was gay. Bro. I would take him over like he my brother were remained for a while and shit, because they were both I think, like I don't know what they were doing, nothing gay, but I think they were. They're both smoked weed and shit. But anyway, Billy would be like, Bro, he would come in the room and my brother would leave you like, Bro, I think your brother's gay. Bro. And like my fucking brother who has three girlfriends right now and can barely take care of one of them. But he would always do that, did he. It was the best. But we were a fucking bust voice together, Dude. It was hilarious. Bro. So I don't know why I told you all that, but oh, I met up with his brother. I got to see his brother and his nephew came to the fight with me and read the Poitier fights. So we all went over there just like it was a big Louisiana celebration.

02:55:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, so you basically do you do you?

02:55:22
Speaker 5: I don't talk about him enough. That's why he's a friend.

02:55:24
Speaker 1: You enjoy going to the earliest part of the fight where you're kind of sitting there solo dolo on the stands. Is that something you kind of tripped into didn't realize the time I saw you. A couote tweeted somebody the other day saying, like, I think it was like exactly when somebody's like THEO now has the expectation to be there, be the first person there, you kind of.

02:55:40
Speaker 5: Like, oh, I do feel like I have to now. But I also love it because here's the thing. You can watch a couple of fucking muppets in your apartment complex, fucking you know, slap each other over some detergent and shit. Oh, you could go out here early and see two guys who have been chasing their dreams fucking live out their action. It's crazy to me that people don't go. Really, I've seen some of the best fights ever early man, the fight two cards ago, the first fight that was one of the best fights that I've ever seen. Man, I think it was two heavyweights too. Carly Judice is a young lady.

02:56:14
Speaker 1: It is weird.

02:56:15
Speaker 5: It feels a little like even some of the fighters.

02:56:18
Speaker 4: Like, what is this guy? How many people are in the arena?

02:56:24
Speaker 5: Oh, the arena is not that many. The rose they are like in the you know, kind of in those rows where Dana and Nicole give seats, there's nobody there.

02:56:36
Speaker 4: This photo, this photo reminds me of Django when Leonardo DiCaprio's first introduced to the movie. It's just him and like two other guys sitting in a room while guys fight. Which is you by yourself watching two guys chase their dreams.

02:56:49
Speaker 5: I don't think you can say jangle with this picture.

02:56:53
Speaker 4: That's fair.

02:56:55
Speaker 5: My hands are starting to shake again.

02:57:00
Speaker 1: Observation.

02:57:00
Speaker 4: It's an observation, but one white guy watching two guys fight.

02:57:05
Speaker 5: To get to be I mean, it's just like, yeah, I just love it. You know, Like I wasn't good at like fight when I was a kid. I wasn't brave enough to defend, you know, just like I didn't have any coaching that type of shit. So to get to see these guys out there, and you have to think they want to just like they just want to fight, right, They want to express themselves, I think, right, I feel like they just want to express themselves. But the only way you can do is against somebody else. Right, So it's not like they want to kill everybody in the place. They just want to show it that they're a great fighter, and the only way you can do that is against somebody else. I used to have this perspective of it, like it's so violent. It is, but they it's how they express their ability, right. It's not as much against the other person as much of it is someone else has to be there. Does it make any sense or.

02:57:49
Speaker 4: No, No, it does. They're trying to show off their skill, what they've learned, so they can be a champion the person in front of them. It's not about beating them, it's about beating their best selves.

02:57:56
Speaker 5: Right, which I think it just like I don't know, I just love it.

02:57:59
Speaker 1: Man.

02:57:59
Speaker 5: It's like literally my Christmas d when I get to go there and the people that were I mean they need to do such a great job of hiring folks.

02:58:07
Speaker 1: They're so good that everybody everyone, you think, and it's not just you, it's like the group that's with you, like when we got the boys. They just treat everybody so well.

02:58:15
Speaker 4: Right, right, what do you stay when you're out there to Vegas?

02:58:18
Speaker 5: I'll stay with the wind, Yeah, you know, buddy, Jasmine works over their, so I'll stay over their.

02:58:23
Speaker 4: You got to come check out Red Rock sometime.

02:58:25
Speaker 5: Man.

02:58:25
Speaker 4: The hospitality is second to none. Everyone treats you like an episode king there.

02:58:29
Speaker 5: I don't want to I have addiction. It's just I do not want to gamble. I don't want to gamble, and I don't want to embarrassingly gamble like people are gambling racks and shit and I'm putting like forty dollars up there or whatever. Hell you have eighteen dollars.

02:58:40
Speaker 4: I understand the addictive personality standpoint. I definitely have that.

02:58:44
Speaker 5: Have you lost a lot of money gambling?

02:58:45
Speaker 4: No, I've won a lot of money gambling. Really yeah, which is crazy. It could end at any moment, but as of right now.

02:58:52
Speaker 5: Yeah, has your wife ever sat you down and said what's going on?

02:58:55
Speaker 4: My wife has sat me down and been like, when are you going back to Vegas? Go back to Vegas? My wife is She's all about joking. She's all about it, man. But yeah, it takes the personality stuff. I'm right around there with you for sure. But I do want the next time there's a Vegas fight, we might have to go at the same time as you, and it should be us. It's all of us just sitting there hanging out the Yeah.

02:59:18
Speaker 5: But like, oh yeah, that's a great point. It's and it's just so and you're like the only person that you feel like it's like just for you. Like it was like a like a Chucky cheese went crazy and you got like it's just you and like a couple of the band members that are pissed at each other, you know, because you're just sitting in there by yourself. Oh yeah, what you got going here?

02:59:40
Speaker 2: Oh?

02:59:40
Speaker 5: I just get in it when Dustin's in there, dude, I can't even help it.

02:59:45
Speaker 1: How'd you feel about the last fight with him and Max?

02:59:48
Speaker 5: I thought it was great. I thought there was too much on his plate for the week. I thought, having like a weekend, this is my retirement weekend. There's so much extra, like there's so much extra video and promo and like goodbyes and a lot of emotions going on, you know, like and uh, I just thought that's a lot to stack on somebody who's also cutting weight, who also is retiring. So I thought that was a lot. It felt like I love watching Dustin fight. It didn't feel like he ever got entirely into his flow. To me, sometimes I don't know anything. That guy could fucking easily put me into a serious comba easily. But I just felt like there was just a lot going on.

03:00:30
Speaker 1: You know.

03:00:30
Speaker 5: It's like and I in some ways Max is still going. Max is still fighting, so Max had you know, there's more for him getting the victory, you know, because he can use it to continue to propel himself forward, right whereas Dustin's like he is, you know, he's retired. So it's like it's almost like, uh, Dustin's a gracious dude, not that he gave the fight. He didn't at all. And Max is a fucking warrior. I just felt lucky that we all got to do it in Louisiana. But there's a sacrifice that comes with that of doing it and having it there and so much attention on you that I feel like draws a lot of extra energy out of you. And I didn't mean any offense to Max in that at all, and I just thought it was so funny. Can you play that clip at the end where he's like we didn't even get He's like, we didn't even get fired at a night man? Oh yeah, they're both just like talking through you know, they're breathing through their ears.

03:01:20
Speaker 4: Yes, so they are so swollen. They're like, dude, it is crazy Max. I did see like Max was controlling that fight.

03:01:29
Speaker 1: But even mentality wise, like knowing you're going to retire, and I think Dustin was even saying it on a show after the fact. It's like when they're standing there in the last ten seconds and staying and banging, it's just like, uh, you're you're also thinking about I can't. I don't want to take too much damage because I'm about to be done. Whereas Max alway like like you're saying this this win. He still got a killer instinct, and you kind of when you know you're retiring, this is gonna be your last one, you'll just have that in the back of your mind, like I'm gonna try and protect myself a little bit.

03:01:58
Speaker 4: I love the way Max handled it after the fight too, When DC walked up and he's like, what are you think, He's like, champ ufc handle however you want this? That's about dust and he like dipped.

03:02:06
Speaker 2: Yeah.

03:02:07
Speaker 4: I thought that was awesome.

03:02:08
Speaker 5: Yeah, and I think it's just great to see like these are two of the most beloved guys, you know. Yeah, can we play with some audio?

03:02:13
Speaker 2: Is that okay?

03:02:14
Speaker 5: We can cut it out later. I just want to watch it one more time. Oh, we gotta put him on on.

03:02:18
Speaker 1: Do we need to put that set on?

03:02:19
Speaker 2: Yeah?

03:02:20
Speaker 5: I don't know if we have Okay, don't worry about it then. But yeah, I just thought it. But in the end, I just thought it was great for the city. It was the first time that was the most people that are prelim that I'd ever seen was in New Orleans that I for myself, I haven't been to that much, but that i'd ever seen. And then everybody stayed at the end, I didn't see one person. Every seat was full at the end for like the video and when he walked out and stuff like that.

03:02:44
Speaker 4: The video was awesome.

03:02:45
Speaker 1: It was, well, that's probably cool to see him being your boy and just seeing him just I don't know, everybody appreciate him and go out like that and the video that they made when he's tearing up.

03:02:54
Speaker 5: Yeah, a special man. He's a special guy and he's so fun. I mean, I just I think a lot of these you know, it's like I think we're living a lucky time where you get to see past some of these guys just their ability to fight, and you get to also see them as human beings, you know, because there's more social media stuff like I got to hang out with Gage and stuff earlier in the day that dude's hilarious and who else Chris Widman and uh, just dude so much fun, bro, and just that whole sport. And I'm thankful David Spade took me to a fight one day and like I got to go with him and like, yeah, sorry, I'm just talking and I'm getting tired.

03:03:26
Speaker 4: That's sparking for you. Well, like David Spade taking you to the fights where you're like, ahead, I can see why people are into this.

03:03:31
Speaker 1: I'm now into it.

03:03:32
Speaker 5: I just felt like, holy shit, dude, were he just feeling that like them walk and you just you hear the mat you feel the mat the punch is being thrown.

03:03:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, just being right up there at the octdown watching Bruce Buffer warm up and get ready to do his announcement. Shit, because he gets juiced up.

03:03:49
Speaker 5: He's over there fucking and he's like shaking his head. He'll let you fucking stretch his nuts. He like, help me fucking get these bad you know, he.

03:03:58
Speaker 4: Gets fucking into it. Man, he owns his character of UFC.

03:04:03
Speaker 5: It's all so, it's all so perfected, it's unbelievable. It's all just so like I don't know, and everybody loves it. And it was there for us during the pandemic. Dude, all you'd be grateful that ship was there because what else If not there, the rest of us all would have been on the news. It gave the people that still wanted to believe in something to fight for and not just being a fucking pussy that it gave us something that that could still happen in this world. Yeah, that's what I think sometimes, And yeah I'm being vulgar, but I'm hungry. Dude.

03:04:35
Speaker 4: Let's let's see what hit the bud light.

03:04:38
Speaker 1: Bud like question, you know how everybody would do anything for a bud light fuck.

03:04:43
Speaker 5: I gotta be a I gotta be somewhere too.

03:04:45
Speaker 1: What would Theovonne do anything for?

03:04:48
Speaker 5: Anything for? Mmmm? We want to do anything for?

03:04:55
Speaker 6: What is it?

03:04:56
Speaker 4: What are the options anything?

03:05:00
Speaker 5: What would I do anything for?

03:05:02
Speaker 1: We've had people say documentary, super Bowl, they do anything for just a steak, A nice steak, we'd have. Dale Earnhardt said nothing.

03:05:12
Speaker 2: He did he.

03:05:16
Speaker 1: I got everything.

03:05:19
Speaker 5: Uh, I do anything.

03:05:23
Speaker 2: I don't know.

03:05:24
Speaker 5: I could give some sappy ship. But let me think of something good. I would do anything. Uh, Oh I do anything to Let me think one more second. I would do anything. Oh I do let me think. I'm gonna think of something I have to. I would do anything for love, but I won't do that type shit. Thank you guys, man, than you appreciate you. Love, I appreciate you a lot of fun. Man, sorr if I talk too much, you.
