I'm nine two eight twenty two eighty seven. KS Bar's back hoping after having been closed for a couple of days for snow. And remember the pregame show starts tonight at six point thirty. Uh, and you can go watch the game at the bar on this snowy day. Get out of your house. What's the point of being in your house? Now you've been there for like four days, get out. I've enjoyed. This is probably the most time I've spent by myself, Ryan, I mean you you've talked about since your entire life. Mine's probably since COVID right where you've seen the fewest people, you know, maybe in these four or five days. 00:01:39 Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't get out. There's no interactionally, if you went you walked a subway, I think you said one day did. 00:01:45 Speaker 4: But that's like just talking to the person that works there. It's not like Drew, I don't necessarily think they're my friend. It's you know, you. 00:01:52 Speaker 5: Gonna have any human interaction though, whether it's it is nice anyone. 00:01:57 Speaker 6: That's exactly h exactly right. 00:01:59 Speaker 7: All right. 00:01:59 Speaker 4: A couple things that I wanted to bring up nonsports related. See what you thought, Shannon today is I don't know if you saw this as one. 00:02:08 Speaker 3: In eight day, I don't know what that means. 00:02:10 Speaker 6: That means. 00:02:11 Speaker 4: McDonald's is claiming that as of today, one in eight Americans has at some point worked at McDonald's in their life. Okay, one in eight Americans. Apparently that milestone happened today. They say that over the course of McDonald's opening, they are the only employer that has employed one out of eight Americans, and they say that showcases their connection to the American people. I am calling BS on this. I do not think one in eight Americans have worked in McDonald's. I think it's very possible one in eight, maybe one in four, maybe one in three have worked in a restaurant or a fast food restaurant or something like that, But in. 00:03:01 Speaker 6: A McDonald's specifically. 00:03:05 Speaker 4: Do you think you three that one in eight Americans have worked at a McDonald's. 00:03:11 Speaker 2: I'm kind of with you. I'm calling BS on it. I mean, have any of us ever worked a McDonald's. Here's four of us. 00:03:17 Speaker 6: That's four Mario is he is he in studio? 00:03:21 Speaker 8: Yeah, he's a shift to McDonald's. 00:03:24 Speaker 4: I mean that feels very specific to say that one in eight, Ryan, what do you think. 00:03:32 Speaker 1: I know two people that work to McDonald's. 00:03:35 Speaker 6: That is it? 00:03:35 Speaker 1: Out of everybody I know? I know of two people that worked at McDonald's. I think the numbers are a little off. 00:03:40 Speaker 6: True. 00:03:42 Speaker 5: Uh, if they said one in twenty, maybe I'll hear him out. One in eight just seems like way too many people compared to the population, that one in eight people would have worked at McDonald's. 00:03:54 Speaker 8: So I don't believe it either. 00:03:55 Speaker 4: I mean, what percentage of the population do you think has worked in a restaurant? 00:04:00 Speaker 9: Like? 00:04:00 Speaker 4: How many people do you think have worked in a restaurant? First of all, on this show, how many of you have worked in a restaurant? 00:04:08 Speaker 6: Or true? Has? Right? Did you work there? I have not, Shannon, you have, I have, Okay. 00:04:14 Speaker 8: Mario and Billy haven't. 00:04:15 Speaker 4: To my knowledge, I haven't. I mean I've been in restaurants, but I was an employee. So that's one out of three of the people here. I think there might be more people, though, than one out of three that have worked in a restaurant at some point in their life. 00:04:29 Speaker 6: Ryan, don't you think. 00:04:30 Speaker 1: Yeah, especially younger, you know, you're a teenager, you're trying to get just to make a little money. Seemed to always go to a fast food place, try to make a little cast or just. 00:04:37 Speaker 6: Any restaurant, like your son works at Wild Eggs. 00:04:40 Speaker 5: Right, yes, yes, what is that? So that's like twelve percent? Does that mean twelve percent of populations worked in McDonald's. 00:04:48 Speaker 4: Yeah, would be twelve point five percent of the population has worked at McDonald that's outrageous. Now they say that over the course of the last sixty years they've had this many employees and that corresponds to one eighth of the population. But I have to think, Shannon, maybe it's people who've worked there, stopped then came back, Yeah, or people dead. 00:05:13 Speaker 6: Yeah. 00:05:14 Speaker 5: If they're doing all their employees since their existence, they should do the population since they opened. 00:05:19 Speaker 8: They're like taking. 00:05:20 Speaker 4: Rightab someone that worked at McDonald's has died, I would think. 00:05:26 Speaker 3: Yeah, from eating the food. No, why do you do that? 00:05:33 Speaker 6: You know that that's my breakfast spot. Why you gotta do that? 00:05:35 Speaker 3: Well, you just get a diet coke. You don't really eat, do you do you do that? 00:05:39 Speaker 6: Get like a McMuffin. 00:05:40 Speaker 4: Well that that them taking the egg white delight is the worst financial decision America's ever made. I do do like I'll do an egg McMuffin, like one out every other day, but go ahead, one. 00:05:50 Speaker 3: Out of eight. 00:05:51 Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with you. I don't think that's correct. I think they're applying. 00:05:54 Speaker 6: So you're saying one in eight day is a fraud? 00:05:56 Speaker 7: Yeah? 00:05:57 Speaker 3: Absolutely? Yeah? 00:05:58 Speaker 6: Is it a fraud? Ryan fraud? 00:06:00 Speaker 3: Maybe one in sixteen day. 00:06:03 Speaker 4: I could go, I think it's even less than that. I would say it's like one in twenty five day. 00:06:08 Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that's even being generous. The more I think about this, the more outrageous it seems. There are a lot of people. There's a lot of people, and they didn't all go to McDonald's and start taking orders. 00:06:20 Speaker 8: And not one eighth of them did either. 00:06:22 Speaker 6: I could see. I could see that one in eight people, maybe even has worked in a. 00:06:26 Speaker 4: Fast food restaurant in this you know, but in McDonald's specifically, it just feels like too many. 00:06:34 Speaker 1: There was not a McDonald's in my county growing up, so all the people went to my high school, none of them worked in McDonald's. 00:06:40 Speaker 8: Mario people have even eaten McDonald's. 00:06:43 Speaker 4: Mario has worked in a restaurant, but not a McDonald's. This show is one half of the show has worked in a restaurant. Zero of six into McDonald's. 00:06:56 Speaker 1: Yep, yes, McDonald's. 00:06:58 Speaker 6: I kind of agree with you. 00:06:59 Speaker 4: Second, starting today, beginning today, all new cars manufactured in America have to have kill switch technology. Do you know what that means? 00:07:12 Speaker 3: Button it goes the car goes off. 00:07:15 Speaker 4: A button where the car goes off, specifically a button where the car can turn itself off if it thinks you're drunk. 00:07:22 Speaker 2: Oh, that's interesting, Okay, if it thinks you're drunk. 00:07:26 Speaker 6: Yes, how does it know? I don't know. 00:07:29 Speaker 3: What If you're just a bad driver and you swerve. 00:07:31 Speaker 6: That's what I'm worried about. If you're a bad driver, you just no no, I mean, I'm just I don't know. I don't know how it works. 00:07:37 Speaker 4: But kill switch technology which includes I think a button that someone can hit just to end it, Like if something happens to you in a car, I guess is I think that's a passenger can just hit a button? 00:07:47 Speaker 6: Is that right? 00:07:49 Speaker 3: That would be awesome if you could, like you just don't like the person driving. I'm just gonnaut you. 00:07:53 Speaker 6: That may not. 00:07:53 Speaker 4: I'm not sure if that part of it is that, but the but the inebriated part. If the car thinks you're inebriated, it can turn itself off. Why is there does no one heard of this? I hadn't heard of it. I saw this this morning this morning. This was on social media that kill switch technology has is starting now all new cars have to have that. 00:08:19 Speaker 6: What are your thoughts on it? 00:08:21 Speaker 5: I mean, I like that they're trying to do something to help a drunk driving. But a kill switch, that's just I don't know how they would know. Is it just because if you're swerving? I don't like a master switch to turn off my car in general? For one, I'm driving, I don't want who's riding shotgun? 00:08:36 Speaker 6: Okay, So. 00:08:38 Speaker 4: There's the kill switch, which is a button that stops machinery if the operator loses control. But then there's also the digital part, which will determine if they think you're like driving recklessly and stop. 00:08:53 Speaker 1: What are they basing it on? Like swerving? Smelled out? 00:08:57 Speaker 3: I don't know your breath. 00:09:00 Speaker 8: I can't see the execution here. 00:09:02 Speaker 6: How's a car gonna smell alcohol in your breath? 00:09:04 Speaker 1: Well, I don't know. The technology is getting pretty good. 00:09:07 Speaker 3: You can do a breathalyzer every time you start the car. 00:09:09 Speaker 1: There are some of those like, yeah, they got a little tube you gotta blow in this stry. 00:09:13 Speaker 6: Okay, here we go, It says, let me read this. 00:09:15 Speaker 4: A passive system is required in the car that monitors a driver's performance. 00:09:20 Speaker 6: To identify impairment of a driver, it. 00:09:23 Speaker 4: Will passively detect a blood alcohol level equal to our exceeding point eight blood alcohol contact or if it detects impairment, it will shut it off and will not allow your car to work. I'm out on this past Congress like four hundred to thirty five, Like everybody want. 00:09:43 Speaker 8: To control our cars. 00:09:45 Speaker 5: We have something that we can just have and no one has to be pushing buttons or messing with us. So you you're against this, you should not drink and drive. But we also don't need to kill switch because it thinks we're swerving. 00:09:56 Speaker 4: The car will deactivate itself if a system determines that the driver is impaired. It's not create a kill switch anyone outside the vehicle control. It's your so it's your car controlling it, not someone else. 00:10:08 Speaker 5: I mean, what if there's something in the road and I gotta go around, it does it think I'm drunk and I'm over in the you know, on the shoulder. There's so many scenarios I could think of where it would just potentially shut off my car. 00:10:18 Speaker 8: I don't understand how this would work. 00:10:19 Speaker 9: Uh. 00:10:20 Speaker 4: This already exists, uh in some cars, but this will make it mandatory and will also shut off the cars that where it is feels like there is impairment. 00:10:31 Speaker 2: I guess that means from now on, I'm gonna be driving a car that was made in twenty twenty five or driving of these new cars shut down. 00:10:40 Speaker 4: It is interesting, though, what happens if you if your car decides you're drunk and you're like just in the middle of a parking. 00:10:46 Speaker 6: Lot somewhere, And how does it know my situation? Well, what is your situation? 00:10:51 Speaker 5: I'd say, what if a road there's trees down and I'm winding, it knows it sees the tree. Well, I'm saying there's a million circumstances where I could not be driving right betwe the lines. 00:11:00 Speaker 8: But I'm not drunk. 00:11:01 Speaker 1: Everybody swerves a little bit. Everybody does. There are no perfect drivers, So thinking we all just gonna be on the side of the road waiting to our car to come back on. 00:11:09 Speaker 3: I'm back on. 00:11:10 Speaker 5: It's like when I'm golfing and I get too close to the green, I'm like, I know what I'm doing. 00:11:13 Speaker 8: I'm fine. Why you shot? 00:11:15 Speaker 4: You know, that's probably a good that's probably a good example. Is that a golf tra I mean, maybe there's somebody who works at cars that contempt. But this, whatever this law is, whatever, it goes into a fact today. Thomas Massey tried to get it overturned yesterday and it only got like forty votes to overturn it. 00:11:34 Speaker 6: So it's it's stayed. 00:11:37 Speaker 8: I'm keeping my I think I have a twenty sixteen. I'll ride it out, amen, And I'm. 00:11:41 Speaker 6: Not getting so you are never getting another car, and not if. 00:11:44 Speaker 5: They're turning me off because they think I'm drinking, if I'm just not up to their standard. 00:11:50 Speaker 6: I mean want we played Devil's Advocate for a second. 00:11:54 Speaker 4: If you're driving so poorly that your car thinks you're drunk, maybe you shouldn't be driving. 00:12:02 Speaker 2: But I would say to the car, you think you can do better than you drive yourself. 00:12:06 Speaker 6: I don't think you can get in a verbal fight with the car. 00:12:09 Speaker 3: It's like night Rider, I can talk to it. You know, they talk back to me. 00:12:12 Speaker 4: But I mean, is there not an argument that if you're driving so poorly that the car thinks you're drunk, maybe you do need to. 00:12:19 Speaker 3: Break well, you shouldn't have a license. Maybe that's a whole conversation. 00:12:23 Speaker 6: But that is a whole other conversation. 00:12:24 Speaker 4: I mean, I'm with you that maybe as people get older, they should rea have to take their task. 00:12:28 Speaker 6: You and I have had that conversation before. But until then, you know. 00:12:34 Speaker 3: There's gonna be a lot of cars on the side of the road. 00:12:37 Speaker 2: To me, that's more dangerous because now there's people that may not be paying attention that are going to be hitting cars that are on the side of the road. 00:12:43 Speaker 6: But I don't think it just stops you in the middle of the road. 00:12:46 Speaker 3: On the side of the road. 00:12:47 Speaker 5: I'm saying, I call to prove that I'm not drunk so I can get to the Kroger in time. 00:12:51 Speaker 8: I'm running late. 00:12:52 Speaker 4: I'm not sure who you have to call. I don't know the details. I'm just telling you the bill i'm reading. I'm reading you the article. I don't I don't know. 00:12:59 Speaker 1: What's a bad bill. 00:12:59 Speaker 5: I could get behind it if it was something like if you're doing one hundred and twenty and it knows the speed limit on the street, It's like, hey, you're doing something you shouldn't be doing. 00:13:06 Speaker 8: But if I'm just not a perfect drop something. 00:13:09 Speaker 6: For you to watch. 00:13:10 Speaker 4: I didn't even know this was happening, and it is now going into effect. 00:13:14 Speaker 6: And McDonald's is also claiming one in eight. 00:13:16 Speaker 4: People work there, and we just can't get distracted, Shannon from all this other news. 00:13:21 Speaker 3: This whole load of crap is what I heard. I don't like any of it. 00:13:26 Speaker 6: Let's go to Andrew, Andrew, go ahead. 00:13:28 Speaker 10: Andrew, Hey, my question is do you think uh Will Levis could be a fit on the Jacksonal Jaguars, like a Taysom Hill type who is a rainbck quarterback. 00:13:43 Speaker 6: And I don't know. 00:13:45 Speaker 4: I do think Will Levis though, and right, and Drew, he was your quarterback for two teams. You know, Sam Darnold having uh success in a new place, Baker Mayfield having success in a new place probably helps with Levis to try to get a second You know, a lot of times in history, if you didn't make it in your first place, you were basically considered persona non. 00:14:07 Speaker 6: Gride do you think Drew will gets another chance. 00:14:11 Speaker 5: I hope he does. He's I think he's better than a lot of backups in the league right now. Guys, I watch throw pass this season, that year with the Titans where he became a meme. He had some bad turnovers, but a lot of that is he was running for his life and trying to make a play. I would like to see him graded in normal circumstances and not having to play for the Tennessee Titans, because I think he was graded unfairly. And I hope he gets a second shot because that season where he had the reins, where he did have a lot of moments that got mocked, I don't think most of them were on him. 00:14:41 Speaker 4: Yeah, that's kind of how I am too. I appreciate the call. I feel like I feel I don't know if he will. I don't know if he'll make it as a starter on the second team, but I certainly think there's a place for him in the league, and I hope he gets his chance because I think he got drawn at about the worst, you know, the next to the Jets, probably the worst scenario he could have gotten. 00:15:00 Speaker 5: The Steelers should take him. That's who give him a shot, throw him in that room and just see what he has. 00:15:05 Speaker 4: With Mike McCarthy. Yeah, why not paying a premium for roadside assistants? We'll take a break. Bear at backs KSR Welcome back. In his Kentucky Sports Radio A five nine twenty two eighty seven people very interested in the McDonalds saying what person rates Matt, eleven of my fifteen family members have worked at McDonald's. I think you are underestimating how many people worked there. Okay, well, I mean eleven out of fifteen of a family is a lot but that's if you have another family that has you know, zero out of fifteen. Now we're till eleven out of thirty, which is just a third. So I just don't believe one in eight one person rides, Matt. You and Ryan work in a restaurant right now, you own it. Yeah, but I mean that'd be disrespectful to people that work there and say, I work there sometimes I host Drew in emergency situations. 00:16:29 Speaker 5: During the pregame show in the middle of that. I agree that it's different than the you know, people that are back there cooking or serving. Yeah, And I'm the more I thought about it during the break, McDonald's actually needs to be punished for this. 00:16:41 Speaker 8: This is just blatant lying. M This should be a crime. 00:16:43 Speaker 6: You don't think there's any way you can't. 00:16:45 Speaker 8: Just make stuff up and put it out there like this. 00:16:49 Speaker 4: There should be consequences, that's what they're saying now. One person writes Matt. So a lot of people are acting like Ryan, I came up with this rule about the cars, and they're angry at me, like what if I didn't make this rule. I'm just telling you what the rule says. What one person rights, Matt, whether they passed this or not. Insurance companies had already planned to only ensure new cars that had this in it. Oh, the government is just doing what the insurance companies were going to do. 00:17:19 Speaker 8: Anyway, more control. 00:17:21 Speaker 5: What happens when in five years we have this and they're like, you know what, we don't want people on the roads today. None of you are driving. 00:17:27 Speaker 4: See I do wonder about I don't know about that specific situation, but yes, I mean it's the same thing as the uh, you know, the sort of surveillance state. I mean, you've heard me say this for a decade. But the problem is Republicans and Democrats, we have given away our freedoms to the government that we like in that. 00:17:49 Speaker 6: Moment, and we're all going to regret. 00:17:52 Speaker 4: So when Obama was president and Biden was president, Democrats volunteerly gave away freedoms because they lie to that president, and so things got passed. And then Republicans love Trump. The ones that do have volunteerily given their freedoms away to him because he tells you to do it too. And in thirty years we're gonna look back and go, why did we do all that to in a moment get a win over the other side. And now we've given this government a ton and we've get worse than the government. 00:18:27 Speaker 6: We've given private companies all of our information. 00:18:32 Speaker 4: Channon, You just remember when we're old and we're in a nursing home yelling at each other, doing a podcast just for the people in the nursing Yeah. 00:18:41 Speaker 6: Yeah, Okay. 00:18:43 Speaker 4: One of the things we're gonna be ranting in is we're gonna be run by private companies who we voluntarily gave all of our freedoms to. 00:18:50 Speaker 2: Well, by that point in my life, I'll be like, I'm about to die. You guys, handle it, good luck, come out of here. 00:18:54 Speaker 6: But we still have to rant about it. 00:18:55 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we'll rant about it, but it won't be our problem. 00:18:57 Speaker 4: But I'm just saying we've that's we've all all done it. Everyone listening, and you know this rule. I'm not saying this rule is good or bad, but like, we've done this stuff for years. 00:19:07 Speaker 6: And it's gonna catch up with us. And now I'll shut up. Who's up next to Jake? Jake? 00:19:11 Speaker 9: Go ahead, Jake, Hey, Matt, first time caller. Uh I am Well, I'm here in Tuscaloosa and I've been listening and getting in felling the Charles Bettioco thing, and I'm just curious what y'all thoughts are on it. It looks like they released an up day yesterday. 00:19:32 Speaker 11: Where they extended the restraining order and the n cua A s the judge to recuse himself of the case since he's also a since he's also a donor, this is great. 00:19:46 Speaker 4: So for people who haven't Yeah, for people haven't five with this is Charles. How do you say his last name? Bettiako? So this is the dude he's basically challenging. You know, we've talked about the various way he's the pro rule can be interpreted. I'm fine with guys who've played in the G League playing. I'm fine with guys who signed a ten day contract plan. The next step is a two way contract. This guy signed a two way contract. The Alabama found this judge in Tuscaloosa, Drew, who gives money to Alabama Sports, and he gave a temporary restraining order saying that this kid gets to play. So they were supposed to have a hearing today, but then the judge goes, well, the ice is out there, so we can't all get together today. 00:20:37 Speaker 6: So here's another ten days, which allows him to keep playing. And the NCAA goes, hey, can we just have this trial over zoom And. 00:20:46 Speaker 4: He's like, no, no, we gotta be in person, So they move it ten days. Then the NCAA files emotion saying, hey, judge, you should refuse yourself because you give money to Alabama. Now I have a question to you, Drew, And right, you think the judge is gonna voluntarily say that he is biased? 00:21:08 Speaker 6: You know they always not. 00:21:10 Speaker 2: That kills all your credibility if you say that, I mean, that's the whole point of being a judge. 00:21:13 Speaker 6: I mean if he thought he can't. 00:21:14 Speaker 4: I mean, judges were accused themselves all the time, but they usually do it voluntarily. If you I mean, now if you file a motion, I understand why the NCAA did it because now on appeal they want to be able to argue this judge was biased. But like I feel like Drew, now he's definitely gonna win the case. Right, the judge is not gonna The judge is gonna be mad that they said he needed to recuse. 00:21:37 Speaker 5: Yeah, he's holding strong and stuff. This one's getting a lot of attention because the League. I'm not calling Alabi and Alabama by name, but I am this is this is college sports to me, this has probably happened things to this scale. Judges getting involved, Booster's getting involved. This is appreciate how you this is how you do college sports. And this is just a big example because we're all paying attention to the G League. Alabama probably has examples of this for thirty years with their football team, maybe even more. 00:22:03 Speaker 4: Do you think, I mean, what chance does the NCAA lawyer Shannon coming from New York have in the Tuscaloosa Circuit Court of getting this kid not to play. 00:22:14 Speaker 3: Probably zero. I mean, it's not gonna happen. 00:22:18 Speaker 4: It's my cousin Vinnie, right, Yeah, I mean he's gonna come down there and say this ute doesn't need to play basketball. I just right, And I think that this kid's gonna end up playing, and I'll be surprised if it gets to a point where he doesn't. 00:22:33 Speaker 1: You know, he played Saturday and Tennessee they and he got beat Tennessee beat him at home. 00:22:37 Speaker 4: He did, but he played well. So these other kids, these other kids that have been allowed to play have not been good. This guy, Drew looks like he might end up being pretty good. 00:22:50 Speaker 5: Yeah, they didn't start him, but Oates put him in three minutes into the game. He immediately got a big dunk. They get like thirteen points, four or five rebounds. Who have not played college ball for two years. He played well to just step off a plane and put on his jersey and check in for Alabama. 00:23:03 Speaker 4: And I also note he's a little different in the sense that he played in the G League Shannon, like last week, right, Yeah, I know, Cy he literally it wasn't like he's been out for a period of time. He played in the G League last week and then is in Alabama. So it'd be interesting to see. We'll take a break right back, ZR. 00:23:27 Speaker 6: TJ. 00:23:27 Speaker 8: Smith, personal injury attorney, called TJ. He'll make them pay. 00:23:31 Speaker 2: Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. 00:23:35 Speaker 3: Here's Matt Jones. 00:23:37 Speaker 6: This is Burger King. Shannon doesn't count towards the one and eight. 00:23:40 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's right, Well it is fast food. 00:23:42 Speaker 6: At least he doesn't mark it. 00:23:43 Speaker 4: That doesn't count, all right, So Auburn and Tennessee are doing something kind of funny. 00:23:48 Speaker 6: I gotta say, Ryan the Badiaco. 00:23:52 Speaker 4: Is on the G League All Star voting site and they are all trying to spam it to vote for him. 00:23:59 Speaker 6: So he makes the G League All Star Game. 00:24:01 Speaker 1: That's kind of funny. 00:24:02 Speaker 8: We should join in. 00:24:04 Speaker 5: I don't like to compliment Tennessee, but after they beat Alabama in his first game, they tweeted your next and then they tagged the Delaware Blue Hens. 00:24:15 Speaker 6: It's pretty good. That would be. 00:24:17 Speaker 4: Actually, that's a great troll because if he makes the G League All Star Game, it makes it even more ridiculous. 00:24:22 Speaker 1: Right, Yes, that's why I think we should join in the fun and get him on. 00:24:26 Speaker 2: The Does he go back to the G League to play in the All Star Game? 00:24:29 Speaker 4: I feel like he would have to go, right because, I mean, he'd be playing against the NBA the G League All Stars for people who don't know, they play against the NBA rookies and second year players at All Star Weekend. 00:24:40 Speaker 3: I don't even know what college basketball is anymore. 00:24:42 Speaker 4: I really well, okay, you know I hate the old man. 00:24:49 Speaker 6: Just laugh at it for a second. 00:24:51 Speaker 4: Wouldn't it be funny if an Alabama player Drew goes to the NBA All Star Weekend and then comes back to Alabama. 00:25:01 Speaker 5: Yes, and I think the entire SEC should participate in this. I might do a KSR post when I got home because I think we all need to get him into that game doesn't affect us, it just makes Alabama look ridiculous. 00:25:11 Speaker 4: I mean, there is a point in which I'll say this. The NCAA is trying to fight this, right. I think most fans think a guy who has signed a two way deal which means you were an official player of an NBA team, should not come back to college. I would agree with that too, So really, isn't the bad guy here Ryan Alabama? I mean, they're the ones doing this. They don't have to do this. 00:25:34 Speaker 5: And they're getting their judge involved, their cocky about it. They're like sticking their chest. It's not like, uh, we know this is and then they don't blame the system, don't blame me. 00:25:44 Speaker 4: The NCAA is asking you not to do it, and you're still doing it. So, I mean a lot of times I understand people going the NCAA is not stopping this, but on this one, the NCAA is trying to stop it, and Alabama's doing it anyway and getting their own booster to be the judge Ryan, Alabama's the bad guy. 00:26:00 Speaker 1: Right, Alabama is the bad guy? Would we be saying that if Deep Paint ended up coming here? 00:26:04 Speaker 4: But Deep pat is not the same. We have to remember these are different situations. The Baylor kid had never signed an NBA deal. I'm fine with him playing. Denk Pate signed a ten day deal but never played, and those deals do not make you property of a team. I'm actually fine with him playing. A two way contract means you can be called up at any moment and you're basically property of the NBA team until they change the rules. Drew, I think that is a reasonable line to draw, isn't it. 00:26:40 Speaker 6: Yeah? 00:26:40 Speaker 5: And Denk, whatever you think of him, it's so different than Bettioco because he's intentionally He's had sheets on the table. They're like, sign this, and he's not to keep this path open if he wants to do it. So he didn't go as far as some of the others did, even though some people still might think I. 00:26:56 Speaker 4: Mean, yeah, there may be people who think none of those guys should play, and that's okay, But they are three distinct situations. They are very different, and the NCAA has decided whether you think it's a good decision or not. They've decided the Dinks and the kid from Baylor can play. But they are drawing the line at people who signed a two way contract and this kid is challenging legally, right, So this is like, this is the one person trying to basically go over the NCAA rules. 00:27:29 Speaker 1: So is this judge is going to try to continue it through margin? 00:27:32 Speaker 6: That's what some people think. 00:27:33 Speaker 4: He would try to go through March madness and then say, all right, NCAA, do you want to if they win the title? 00:27:38 Speaker 6: Shannon, do you want to take it away? 00:27:40 Speaker 4: You know? 00:27:41 Speaker 3: I mean, this is a three way contract the NBA, the G League, and now college basketball. 00:27:48 Speaker 6: I'm though I'm poor voting for him for the G League. I think that's funny. 00:27:53 Speaker 4: All right, what person writes Matt, I know you've read the Margo Robbie Valentines controversy. I need rhymes to interesting what Ryan's take? Have you heard this controversy? 00:28:04 Speaker 7: I know? 00:28:04 Speaker 1: Do I need to read something? 00:28:05 Speaker 6: Well, I'll just tell you. Do you know who Margot Robbie is? 00:28:08 Speaker 1: Yes? 00:28:08 Speaker 8: She was? 00:28:09 Speaker 1: She was Barbie right, she was. 00:28:11 Speaker 4: Beautiful at one time, the person that I thought was the most beautiful maybe still person like in the world. Okay, she was Barbie. She's married to someone. I don't know if he's famous. Is he famous? 00:28:24 Speaker 6: Drewe? 00:28:25 Speaker 5: Who she's married to may just be a random guy. I don't know who she's married to, so he's not famous. 00:28:30 Speaker 3: It's some guy, right, Tom Ackerley? 00:28:32 Speaker 6: Who's that? Does He work at w l a X as a weather. 00:28:37 Speaker 2: A British film producer, Tom Ackerley. 00:28:41 Speaker 4: So she's married to him. She does the movie Wuthering Heights. It comes out here in a few weeks. 00:28:49 Speaker 8: Great book. 00:28:50 Speaker 6: Have you all read it? 00:28:51 Speaker 8: Yes? You like book? 00:28:54 Speaker 5: It's the only book I read in school. I skipped all the books but that one that they told us to read. 00:28:57 Speaker 6: Do you remember it? It's like a love story, isn't it. 00:29:00 Speaker 5: I remember reading enough to do my homework in like fourth grade. 00:29:04 Speaker 6: Anyway, that movie's coming out here in a few weeks. 00:29:08 Speaker 4: It was filmed during Valentine's Day and her co star on the film is a guy named Jacob Alordie. 00:29:14 Speaker 6: What has he been in before? I've heard that name. Has he been in something? 00:29:18 Speaker 5: Oh, he's the new heart Throb. I think he's in Frankenstein and Euphoria and. 00:29:23 Speaker 6: Euphoria that's what I've heard of him. Man. 00:29:26 Speaker 4: Okay, So anyway, point being Ryan, Jacob Elordi and Margot Roby in Wuthering Heights. Withering Heights are lovers, okay. In the movie Valentine's Day comes, her husband is not there because she's filming this movie. She says she got back to her hotel room and in order to make her feel special and not alone, Jacob Elordi had made it to where her hotel room bedroom was filled with red roses from him. 00:29:55 Speaker 2: Oh back off, dude, Oh. 00:29:59 Speaker 3: Man, I found the husband. 00:30:01 Speaker 4: She told that story as if it was an example of how sweet he was. 00:30:07 Speaker 6: If you're the husband and you hear that, what are your thoughts? 00:30:12 Speaker 3: I should what's your thought of that? First? 00:30:15 Speaker 4: I would be mad, but you got overshadowed by him. 00:30:21 Speaker 3: What I'm saying, he's making me look bad. 00:30:24 Speaker 5: The comments are much worse too. She's like, I was lost on set if he wasn't near me like they had. She had to be by his side the whole time. 00:30:31 Speaker 3: The studio girl. 00:30:36 Speaker 6: Very empowered to say it, Drew, I mean, you're right. 00:30:38 Speaker 4: In that interview, she was like, I wouldn't have gotten through this Valentine's day without him. 00:30:44 Speaker 5: I think she used the word codependent, like I had to have him on her taxes. 00:30:49 Speaker 3: Taxes. 00:30:51 Speaker 8: Yeah, if you're the husband, you just I think I think you got to take the l here. 00:30:56 Speaker 6: But do you I mean, do you go beat him up? Ryan? Do you? Or is it like like what do you do? 00:31:04 Speaker 1: I don't think you can beat him up, but you you have to. You have to boundaries. You have to put some boundaries up. 00:31:09 Speaker 6: To the boundary you're gonna put. 00:31:11 Speaker 1: I think I tell her and said, look that this is inappropriate. You don't need to be having this kind of relationship with this guy. 00:31:16 Speaker 6: Are you gonna tell him? 00:31:19 Speaker 1: My wife's who I'm concerned about, not him. 00:31:21 Speaker 6: Oh, you're not gonna get you're not mad at him. 00:31:23 Speaker 1: She needs to tell this dude to back off, and she needs to back off. 00:31:27 Speaker 6: Well, she didn't buy the roses. 00:31:29 Speaker 1: Well, she's co dependent, falling around in the movie set the whole where I don't know what I can do without you. 00:31:34 Speaker 6: So you're I think you're. 00:31:37 Speaker 3: I know where this is going. 00:31:40 Speaker 6: I know you. 00:31:42 Speaker 4: I feel like you're confronting this man, right. I feel like you're like, let's say, let's say Bill Meck did this don't. 00:31:55 Speaker 8: Right there. 00:31:55 Speaker 6: Yeah, you're you're you're gonna confront him, Ryan, I know you. 00:32:00 Speaker 1: I would go up to it. I know exactly what I would. 00:32:02 Speaker 6: Say, all right, go for it's what are you saying to. 00:32:04 Speaker 1: I say, look, dude, this ends today. Stop, that's it. That's it off and then you walk off. You don't want to drag it out and make it domb big scene. 00:32:15 Speaker 6: Okay, your point, right? You know, a rule is not a rule without a punishment. 00:32:18 Speaker 8: Though this isn't a celebrity. He doesn't care what you're saying. 00:32:21 Speaker 6: Yeah, so what Yeah exactly, this is Jacob ALORDI. He's not really worried about you, my piece. 00:32:27 Speaker 1: I've talked to my wife. 00:32:28 Speaker 4: So let's say next Valentine's Day he sends twice as many roses. 00:32:34 Speaker 1: I'm more mad at her. I think then she hasn't done anything. She's co dependent on. 00:32:42 Speaker 5: And face, and she also did a very big interview talking about how codependent she was. 00:32:49 Speaker 1: See that's I'm more mad at her, I think than I am the dude at that point. 00:32:54 Speaker 6: Well, I understand that. 00:32:55 Speaker 4: I think the interview was where she screwed up, right, the interviews where she screwed up. 00:33:02 Speaker 6: She it's not her fault. He bought the roses. 00:33:04 Speaker 3: No, but she seems to like it a little too much. 00:33:06 Speaker 6: She seems to like it. 00:33:07 Speaker 5: Yeah, she needs a simple I don't need roses. My husband could send roses. 00:33:12 Speaker 6: Yeah, but then they have to be but they have to be romantic. In the movie, they're gonna have to have chemistry. 00:33:17 Speaker 3: Yeah, but not in real life though. I'm Withdrew on this one. 00:33:20 Speaker 8: Margot Margo's closer in the yard. 00:33:22 Speaker 6: All right, Sorry, by the way, did you see did you see that? A second? Uh? 00:33:27 Speaker 4: The labor secretary came out is also having a relationship with her security guard. 00:33:31 Speaker 8: I thought you're gonna say, with Margot Robbie. 00:33:35 Speaker 6: But another more policies. 00:33:37 Speaker 4: This wasn't a senator, remember the story said four senators. This is a labor secretary came out, she too has had a relationship with her security guard. 00:33:47 Speaker 8: I hate politicians. 00:33:49 Speaker 4: If you want to get if you want to get with a senator, yeah, if you want to get with Lindsey Graham, sh I know what job you can get. Just go be a security Who's next. 00:34:03 Speaker 6: Let's go to mic Mike. 00:34:04 Speaker 7: Go ahead, Mike, I said, fellas I called in with a basketball take but you triggered me with this. Uh, I'm a truck driver. These safety features they put on all this stuff today, and you hit the nail on the head when you talking about giving the government control and giving up rights because making everything political. But you can't fix stupid with technology. That's just I mean, that's what they're trying to do. If people are, you know, like these trucks, they'll they'll lock the brakes up if they get ice on the sensors because they got the auto stop and all that that stuff is not safe and it's it's just ignorant. They just need to quit doing all that stuff and people need to quit buying it. 00:34:44 Speaker 6: Yeah, well but now they might not have a choice. 00:34:48 Speaker 7: Well, it's like these elogs. Okay, they said they put these in for the truck drivers to make them safer. 00:34:53 Speaker 10: Right. 00:34:53 Speaker 7: Yeah, Now, when this thing clicks down to your last minute, all these truck drivers are running as hard as they can go. They're up against the clock instead of just taking their time. Comes back in the hell day we just wrote down whatever, which I know. 00:35:06 Speaker 6: That's Oh, so. 00:35:08 Speaker 4: You're saying when when their clock is, when their clock is about clock is about to run there like hitting the gas. 00:35:14 Speaker 7: Oh yeah, they're flying, I'm telling you, and that's why all these accidents they have. Actually, if you do the research, there's been more truck accents since they put the logs in the there was before. 00:35:25 Speaker 2: Has a semi flying by me and as I was doing thirty five on sixty five yesterday? 00:35:29 Speaker 6: Interesting? 00:35:30 Speaker 4: Well, see that's interesting. I can see what you're saying. That makes sense. Well, all right, I appreciate it. See, this is why it's nice to have experts in the conversation. That makes perfect sense though, trying to get in before the clock. I'm amazed at how fast these semis will go in on the snow and. 00:35:43 Speaker 2: Oh no, that's what I'm saying. Like I was on I sixty five going thirty five miles an hour. That's as fast as I felt safe going. And this semis is flying by me. 00:35:51 Speaker 4: Like you remember when we were driving in Iwa during that snow storm. Yeah, Drew, Well this was with Drew and Tom and how fast those how fast those semis were going. 00:36:01 Speaker 8: And all we could see was just like white in front of us road. 00:36:04 Speaker 4: That's the most scared I've ever been. I mean I was scared in New York. 00:36:09 Speaker 6: Yeah, but the one in Iowa. 00:36:11 Speaker 4: In some ways, they both were scary for different what reasons, But that one was bad. One was Mark Chestnut. You and I are like the last two Mark Chestnut fans. 00:36:57 Speaker 3: Left big fan. 00:36:59 Speaker 6: And then Lilah by Tom Jones. 00:37:02 Speaker 2: Well you're more on your own on that one. I'm good with Mark chest nutt. 00:37:05 Speaker 6: You should go watch Did you know that song? 00:37:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, I've heard it. 00:37:10 Speaker 6: He sings it with Pavaratti. You need to hear it. 00:37:14 Speaker 3: That doesn't change my mind. 00:37:15 Speaker 6: It's a great song. I don't know why you have to be so rude. 00:37:20 Speaker 3: We got to check out Mark chess nuts tour schedule. Though, if you ever can. 00:37:23 Speaker 4: Mark chest Nut is singing with Tom Jones and Pavaratti, that would be a great three. 00:37:29 Speaker 2: So all right, if Mark Chessnut's a part of it, you might get me on board. 00:37:32 Speaker 4: Oh, I could get you to go see Pavaratti, but only if Mark Chessnut was. I think Pavaratti is dead, so I don't think we can get him. 00:37:39 Speaker 3: Dig him up. 00:37:40 Speaker 8: I don't know, diggy mouth, I don't know. 00:37:45 Speaker 6: It's not very nice. 00:37:47 Speaker 4: If I'm nine to twenty two eighty seven, Kentucky plays nine o'clock pregame show starts at six thirty. We will be all over the place for the show, but you can go watch the game at came S Bar. Also, if you the super Bowl is coming in a week and a half. Remember we'll have all the wings, all the specials, all that for we have to call it the Big Game on the graphics rhyme, which I hate. But everybody knows it's the super Bowl, uh, and that all those specials are out now if you want to get your orders. 00:38:16 Speaker 1: In, Yeah, there's some spots you can't say that word, and other spots you can say that word. I never know what's going on. 00:38:21 Speaker 4: I think we can say it on news shows. You technically can't say it on an AD. So we'll say it's the super Bowl and then pause, pause, pause, Drew, you need food for the for the game, the Big Game? 00:38:35 Speaker 6: Right? 00:38:35 Speaker 5: Yeah, for making our picks for the game. We're talking about the super Bowl. But if you need a place to go watch, you need wings. Come watch the Big Game with. 00:38:42 Speaker 6: Us, that's right. Uh, Drew and I have a problem that Drew doesn't even know about yet. 00:38:46 Speaker 4: Ryan, we're going to the super Bowl. The NFL's between me and you. The NFL's credit card wouldn't work. 00:38:54 Speaker 1: I think I think they canceled the NFL. 00:38:57 Speaker 6: NFL. 00:39:00 Speaker 4: We were in the NFL Drive, So we're gonna get it. We'll get our flight and all that. And they have a hotel from us for us from Tuesday to Friday, but we're staying Friday to Sunday, and there's really not much of an option of what to do, so I don't really have a place. We've got to find somewhere to stay in the Bay Area of Friday to Sunday. And I know a guy who's in my fellowship who's got a lot of money. Who I sent a text message sort of hinting, Ryan, would you want to have a guest or four guests? Yea three because he's got a massive like a state. But if that doesn't work out, I'm not really sure where Drew, Mario, Billy and I are going to be Friday and Saturday night at the super Bowl because the hotels are I can't justify going to the NFL and giving the payment slip for him. So Ryan, that's just out there as a as a as a looming concern. 00:40:04 Speaker 1: Is it's it's San Francisco. Is that where you're going? 00:40:06 Speaker 6: Yes, well it's. 00:40:09 Speaker 1: Robbie Moss's brother, Austin Moss has worked for the forty nine ers out there. Maybe you can check with him. 00:40:14 Speaker 6: We don't know him. 00:40:15 Speaker 4: I can't just call up Austin Moss and say can we stay with it? 00:40:18 Speaker 6: I don't even know that person, but yeah. 00:40:20 Speaker 1: You could you want just a random person to offer you a place to stay. 00:40:23 Speaker 4: I well, no, I'm not asking people listening. I'm just saying I'm just highlighting an issue we have. 00:40:30 Speaker 1: Yeah, because we've never stayed with random strangers before. 00:40:34 Speaker 4: It worked, But I don't know Austin Moss may not want us. You're volunteering, Austin Moss. 00:40:40 Speaker 8: I'm the Super Bowl weekend. 00:40:42 Speaker 5: They've probably had a few requests, probably probably full. 00:40:46 Speaker 6: What do you think Austin Moss thinks right now, Shannon? I don't want. 00:40:49 Speaker 2: Probablything to keep my name out of this, to be dried into this situation. 00:40:53 Speaker 3: Yeah, don't make you know your problem, his problem. 00:40:55 Speaker 6: That's right. 00:40:55 Speaker 4: Draft Kings at five, get two hundred dollars at Draft Kings and bonus bets. 00:41:00 Speaker 6: Let's do? 00:41:00 Speaker 4: Uh, I guess, let's do. Kentucky and Vandy go DraftKings. 00:41:03 Speaker 6: Crown is yours? 00:41:05 Speaker 4: Well, they'll be parlays and a lot more tonight for the game and Kentucky at Vandy. Vandy's a six and a half point favorite. I guess I'll start with you, mister Vandy fan, Shait, what would you do if you were going to draftkick? 00:41:18 Speaker 2: I think Vandy wins, but Kentucky covers, So if you're going to point, you would take Kentucky to cover six and a half. 00:41:26 Speaker 6: All right? What about you? Right? 00:41:28 Speaker 1: Yeah? I like that and I think I want to take that guy's advice. Have Kentucky went to win the second half because that seems to be a the mL that this team does. But I'll take Bandy to win, but Kentucky to cover. 00:41:38 Speaker 6: All right, what about you? 00:41:40 Speaker 5: I like Vandy cover or excuse me, Kentucky covering as well. I like, might even do a little money line. I'm feeling good. It's one of those you know, you get cautious because you're feeling good. I'm confused, That's why I feel so good. But I woke up thinking win, So I definitely like the cover. 00:41:54 Speaker 1: How about that? 00:41:55 Speaker 4: Well, all three of you taking that. I've got kind of a contrary view. 00:42:00 Speaker 6: I think this game. I think we're gonna be competitive tonight. 00:42:03 Speaker 4: I don't think we're gonna get blown out like we have in some of these games against good teams.
