Greetings, Coach Chairman. My name is Ellis. I'm a lapse fan.
I can't tell you for how long, and I've been putting off doing this
recording for quite a while. But tonight Hope Hogan is speaking at the RNC,
so I figured the world is going to lapse, I might as well
share my story. I'm sure there's a lot of people that can remember when
they first started listening. I don't even think that's important. It's not when
you first started listening. It's when you realize that you are lapsed. And
when did I realize I was elapsed? A few years ago. I was
in the hospital a few times and I had a wound. I'm not gonna
go into graphic detail, but the wound would not stay closed. So anyway,
long story short. One time, I'm sitting there and they have to
take out the staples. So doctors come in. They start taking down to
staples and I start laughing. Doctors go to me, they go, what
are you laughing at? At the time, I was listening to the Lapse
fan the WCCW Journey and laughing about lapse Frits. So as they're sitting there
taking these staples out of me and blood is all over. I am laughing
my ass off about downtown Dallas, about friend Gooza, and I just can't
stop. No. But this is also what makes us a lapsed wrestling fan
base. Doctor goes to me, what are you laughing at now? Mind
you. I've been in this hospital for a week or so. Everyone has
seen me. They see me from head to toe naked. They know every
bit and piece about me. But god forbid, I tell them it's wrestling,
I say, a comedy podcast. But that was when I knew I
was lapsed. There's a difference between being lapsed and being a pro wrestling fan,
and I consider such a pride thing to be lapsed because being lapsed has
helped me so much in dealing with my own feelings about pro wrestling. Before
I started listening to the podcast, I would watch Modern I go in and
out, but there would be a sadness or anger because it wasn't for me,
and I knew that. But I didn't want to be like one of
those old people other from like sports that are like, oh, it used
to be better, It used to be better. But then I started to
listen to you guys, and I realized it used to be better, and
that's helped me enjoy to the best of my ability what I can a modern
wrestling because I don't have to watch it. I realized I'm not gonna enjoy
it like it's my stuff because my stuff was better. So I just watch
it now for whatever I can get out of it, which is not much.
But once in a while, you know, you didn't get a little
enjoyment, But it's like it's it used to be better, and it's the
best way to describe it. And I think for all of us community,
there is a point where we realize that we're lapsed. And now I look
around in the world and the world has collapsed. You guys are right,
Vince is lapsed. Vince Hogan is lapse Hogan. The world is now lapsed.
So it feels good to get on the ground floor, relatively speaking.
Mozzi tough on ten years. I'll be listening through ten years more. God,
will we have ten more years of this wonderful earth left? Because who
the hell knows? And thank you so much. I appreciate it, Love
you guys. Peace,
