Lacey Jeka: On Hulu's Coolest New Show, Creativity Sparked From Grief, and a Love Letter to Fleabag

For Episode 25, Becky is joined by one of her favorite young screenwriters, Lacey Jeka (Gimme Danger, Phony). Lacey is one of the creative voices finding real momentum in Hollywood, recently making the leap from writer's assistant on Peacock's The Paper (the sister series to The Office—no big deal) to staff writer on a highly-anticipated new show premiering on Hulu later this year. She shares her journey from Florida to Los Angeles (by way of a decade in New York), and the inspiration behind her deeply personal, darkly comedic script born out of grieving the loss of her father. And of course, Becky and Lacey take more than a minute to pay homage to their queen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and the perfection that is Fleabag.
