John won Gold in his age group at the Ice Swimming World Championships in Murmansk, Russia 2019. We talk to him about how he progressed into Ice Swimming after 20 plus years out of the pool; including a 24 hours 24 mile swimming challenge and an english channel swim. John also explains what benefits and dangers ice swimming has, along with advice he would give to others looking to start open water swimming!
