Speaker 1: Welcome to NFL Daily, where we got a super Bowl preview in Week three. I'm Greg Rosenthal here in the Chris Westleying podcast studio with a surprise Cynthia Freelan, who clearly doesn't know that the Super Bowl this year is going to feature your Detroit Lions and my Baltimore Ravens because that was my super Bowl pick before the year, with the Ravens winning unfortunately, and here we have it in week three.

00:00:28
Speaker 2: I think all Lions fans would take a trip to the Super Bowl, even if it didn't result in a win. It just be so exciting to finally make it to the big game. I know that sounds anti climactic, but I still think that people would take that.

00:00:40
Speaker 1: I agree and in most fans, especially of teams that haven't gone far often or haven't even been to a super Bowl like the Lions, would always say that. Now that said, you're laughing, I mean, it's just a fact. I know that said in a couple of weeks and everything leading up to it would be unforgettable. Would be an incredible experience. I think that said, once you're there, if they lose, that will actually feel and be worse than any of the losses before that. Unfortunately, I think that's how it works, It's how sports works.

00:01:11
Speaker 3: I don't know. I still think I'd take going.

00:01:13
Speaker 4: I know you still would take it. You would take a pain.

00:01:16
Speaker 2: Then those T shirts that they said, yeah, you know that they send away those T shirts for the like somewhere the line in an alternate universal line instead of have won according.

00:01:24
Speaker 3: To a T shirt.

00:01:25
Speaker 1: That's fair, and you nothing can take away the weeks before in all the frames. Okay, we got a long way to go, and I got my doubts about the Wyons there. We make three picks every weekend, the three against the spread. Back to back weeks, You've gone two and one back to back weeks. I've gone one and two. That stupid Bengals ending where the Jaguars blow it a million times in the red zone late and then the Bengals drive the whole length of the field not only to win, you know, by three, but to win by four and cover that number helped flip our scores. We went head to head last week. But as you remember, I remember I said I only liked four games last week. You know I did have two underdogs, you know, winning straight up there with the Falcons and the Seahawks, so at least I had some that was on the right track. So I'm counting myself as two and two, but we can only count three for sure. And I was picking between, you know, Atlanta and Seattle. So you're off to a great start, and that's why we're going to start with you. Because the Compewter model is off to a hot start in game debut and in this studio this.

00:02:26
Speaker 2: Year, it's possible that the model has started to become sentient. I'm starting to worry. I have waking up at night being like, is it gonna come kill me? What's going on? But I have five outright wrong favored teams this week.

00:02:40
Speaker 1: That's that makes picking well, maybe it makes a hard picking which three you like best, but it singles it out.

00:02:45
Speaker 4: I should have pointed out by the way you're winners.

00:02:46
Speaker 1: Last week you also had the Patriots, and you were wrong on the Broncos. I was wrong on the on the Jets as well.

00:02:53
Speaker 3: Okyrie, All right, well we got it all right.

00:02:55
Speaker 2: So my first one, I think I'm stealing this one from you, but I really like it. I absolutely think the wrong team is favored in Chicago. The Dallas Cowboys come to town as one point dogs.

00:03:07
Speaker 4: Yeah, spright, I'm like, oh, oh, this.

00:03:09
Speaker 3: Is what we're doing now, got it?

00:03:11
Speaker 2: So I'm gonna go ahead and take them because I have the Cowboys winning that outright, So against the number or on their own not one of my.

00:03:19
Speaker 3: Oh good feel it, I thought, maybe you were.

00:03:21
Speaker 1: I did hit the Cowboys game. We agree on that. One man. Watching Dak Prescott right now, I think is as fun as watching any quarterback in the entire league. And you think about that mismatch against Chicago, and that's ultimately why I picked the Cowboys.

00:03:35
Speaker 4: But these two teams are unpredicted.

00:03:38
Speaker 1: I don't trust either one of them, and I definitely don't trust the Cowboys defense that much. So that's why I just didn't make it. Like one of my three favorite.

00:03:45
Speaker 2: Cowboys defense has been giving up a bajillion yards and we understand a bazillion points, like over thirty and four hundred and fourteen something like that, something great, But if you look at where they're giving it up, it's too deep balls. Russell Wilson just gashed them with a bunch of deep balls. That is an area out where Caleb Williams has not been successful so far this season. So I think the matchup for this defense is a plus matchup plus Eberflus revenge.

00:04:09
Speaker 3: He has to come back. I mean, I mean, well there's always revenge.

00:04:12
Speaker 2: But like you know, I'm looking at this one and I'm saying, all right, it's the deep passing for me. If you're really are you really gonna trust the run game to get going?

00:04:19
Speaker 3: We haven't really seen it now. It's Cowboys run game looks great. That's right. They've been contacted behind the line of scrimmage quite a bit. They're not getting a bunch of pressure upfront.

00:04:28
Speaker 2: So model, I actually looked at this and I was like, I'm surprised that I thought it would be a point or maybe a pick of.

00:04:34
Speaker 1: At least right it started out Bears. It might be flipping around during the week a little bit. Well either way, either way, you're taking the Cowboys. Yeah, that's right. I'm going back to the Jets. You know, I want to tell you you back to the Jets. I'm going to back to the Jets against the Bucks.

00:04:51
Speaker 4: Against the Bucks.

00:04:53
Speaker 1: So I made maybe the worst pick in the history of the show last week Jets Bills. I said they would uh win straight up and they were what seven point underdogs? Seven point underdogs again this week?

00:05:07
Speaker 4: Let me tell you?

00:05:08
Speaker 2: Are you taking them to win straight up? Okay, Okay, it doesn't matter. There's seven point underdogs actually show game debut. I think I am just for the the Yeah, you know, if you're gonna take them, might as well.

00:05:20
Speaker 1: Can I tell you about dollar cost averaging? You know, like by the stock that's low?

00:05:25
Speaker 3: You know, I feel so in a home right now.

00:05:28
Speaker 4: You know.

00:05:28
Speaker 1: I blew it on on these Jets clearly, and I liked them both weeks. They covered week one, they did not week two. I just don't think they are the team that they showed last week. It was a very humbling, uh game for me and the Jets. But I'm looking at this specifically. I really do believe that the Bucks should not be seven point favorites. Okay, since we last taped an NFL Daily even, we learned Cody Mock there, the guard for the Bucks, is out for the entire season. We confirmed that Luke Getikey he doesn't have all his teeth, Cody Mock, but they look the one really yeah, Luke ketting their right tackle out this week. We don't know whether they're left tackle Tristan Wurfs is going to play in this game. Amiica Abuka hasn't practiced so far this week and was not looking one hundred percent. I'm a little bit with the plexiglass kind of principle here with both of these teams. I do think teams tend to respond after a really poor performance. They're, you know, professionals, and it's just the average. I think the average performance from the Jets is gonna be somewhere between week one and week two. And then you look at the Bucks Cynthia, and if you peek beneath the numbers a little bit like they actually their numbers haven't been great this year.

00:06:41
Speaker 4: They're nineteenth overall.

00:06:43
Speaker 1: In Dvoa, they were outplayed by the Falcons and kind of stole that game away last week. You know, they were a fourth and tent away. They're good, obviously, and I think they're gonna get better. But I'm not worried about Tyrod Taylor. I don't think that's necessarily a downgrade. It might, even for a one week, be an upgrade. I'm not rule that out. And so seven points seems like a lot.

00:07:02
Speaker 4: I think these two teams will be closer than you think.

00:07:05
Speaker 2: I'm actually aligned with you, and I think that I think that the Bucks win. I don't think that they win in a very super convincing fashion, right right, It was big when before we knew about those injuries, it was a much bigger margin. And I'm looking at the Jets, and I agree with you that the average does tend to come up over time.

00:07:24
Speaker 3: My problem with the Jets overall.

00:07:28
Speaker 2: Is that I haven't seen any of the foundations of what they're trying to do come together on offense consistently. So it's hard to say, Okay, are they going to be a team that their identity is going to be run the ball, pass to their tight end, like what's going on here? And I just haven't seen it come together in general yet. And I still haven't seen on the defense the kind of stuff you would imagine that will be by the end of the season. With Aaron Glenn, they're figuring everything out, But I just the offense feels like it like it's a big question mark.

00:07:59
Speaker 3: What am I looking in?

00:07:59
Speaker 4: The defense isn't even a question Mark's just a hot mess.

00:08:02
Speaker 1: It is a mess they are giving h They are a lot of miscommunication a lot of that. But I just think the the injuries, and I guess I do look at the response that I think the Jets will have sure this week coming off of a game like that. Also, Tyrode, when he's played in the last few years, he usually has like one or two that's great performance when he comes in and then he gets hurt. If he gets hurt, we're really in trouble. The injuries for the Buccaneers are significant. Also, the New Jersey to Tampa pipeline for like retirees, is very familiar, and so I think that somehow will give the Jets just like a little bit of an advantage. It's just a move that people from New Jersey, they're comfortable going down south to Tampa.

00:08:47
Speaker 4: So maybe a lot of.

00:08:47
Speaker 1: Jets people will make the trip. Sure they just live there, you know, great advantage.

00:08:52
Speaker 4: I love that. All right, let's go to your second pick.

00:08:54
Speaker 2: I mean, I'm going to keep it with the spicy ones that are the wrong favorite, favored, that's not good whatever. I think that the Textan's top the Jags.

00:09:03
Speaker 4: I like that.

00:09:03
Speaker 1: I'm on your side too, Yeah you are. I mean that's not one of my three picks, but I agree with you. That was my pick on game debut.

00:09:09
Speaker 2: Yes, wow, well we don't have to say anything fun. We're wild well number one when I'm looking at So when you look at CJ. Stroud and what they're trying to run in this offense, it's a little patriotsy, which I think they've figured out there need need to pivot from just a bit given the skill set of c J. Stroud and the lack of skill set from the offensive line.

00:09:29
Speaker 3: I'm saying that nicely. The line hasn't been good. Let's just say that. And I'm curious to see maybe Christian Kirk comes back. Where are we at with that?

00:09:36
Speaker 4: It looks good?

00:09:37
Speaker 3: Right, So I haven't seen anything updated.

00:09:39
Speaker 1: Out Brackston Barrios and Kristen kirkis less of a factor, more of a specialist.

00:09:43
Speaker 4: I don't know, but Kirk will play.

00:09:45
Speaker 2: I actually think sometimes those tiny little differences are very big deals when it comes to figuring everything out. So I'm looking at the uptick in passing quotient and that defense is still really good.

00:09:57
Speaker 3: News flash. Defense still really good. Trevor Lawrence.

00:10:00
Speaker 2: There's I love the like like sort of fight Trevor Lawrence and Liam Cohen.

00:10:06
Speaker 1: Like the yeah, well when he was on the sideline, he was getting annoyed.

00:10:10
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:10:11
Speaker 4: Trevor Lawrence described it afterwards as like it's good. You know, I'm pretty like you.

00:10:16
Speaker 1: Know, even Keel laid back guy, and like Liam Cohen, like Liam's really fired up and I really appreciate it all.

00:10:23
Speaker 4: And it like he's like it kind of brings out the more intenside.

00:10:26
Speaker 1: I mean, I'm like, well, we could use a little more of ITV still seems a little little yeah.

00:10:31
Speaker 2: And plus when you have I just also, at some point the Brian Thomas Junior thing will click back into place, and same thing with Travis Hunter. But you've seen some The end of that last game was messy against the Bengals, as you pointed out, But I don't think they can run it enough on the Texans to be able to overcome that defense all of a sudden in one week, all the books think, Hey, that defense stinks now, like what what on earth? Like that's such an overreaction to the mark in the market. So that's why I'm like, what do we will Anderson Junior not there anymore?

00:11:01
Speaker 1: I I like this pick. It's not one of my top three. I think it's it's probably recognizing a couple of things. One, the Jacksonville run game looks really good. I think they I think they're a proof team. I think they could be the seven seed, for instance in the AFC.

00:11:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, especially with the Bengals getting hurt, with Joe Burrow getting hurt and all those other things up in Flux.

00:11:20
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:11:20
Speaker 1: And then the numbers, And it's partly because of the matchups the Texas fan to face, you know, the Rams and the Bucks blitzes back to back weeks and pass rushes, and they have not looked good on offense. Their offensive numbers are as bad or worse than they were a year ago. So I I kind of see why it would level it out. Nick Chubb a little bit, A little bit, Nick.

00:11:39
Speaker 3: Chubb starting to come back on baby, I.

00:11:41
Speaker 1: Think we'll see some some woody marks some Nick Cubb, I'm with you. I also just think they really need this game. And they've been in this system with Dimiko Ryans a couple more years. They've won some big games, two playoff games, right, And I think that helps. But it wouldn't It wouldn't shock me if the Jags did pull that off. Man that that I was watching that closely because I knew that was our head to head game, and I was feeling good about it all last week JAG's Bengals, and then right at the end.

00:12:07
Speaker 2: I mean when Trevor Lord, when when Joe Burrow went down, I'm like, well there, yeah, go.

00:12:11
Speaker 4: And they were losing. They're actually were losing. I haven't had that time.

00:12:14
Speaker 2: Browning throws all the picks in the world, and then they decide to blitz.

00:12:18
Speaker 3: Don't blitz Jake Browning, what are you doing? This man is great against the blitz. He's not good when you don't blitz him. Look at his blitz.

00:12:25
Speaker 2: This is why everyone needs analytics, you hear me, because if you look at that, that that has been his splitz forever, his under his under duress. Like his blitz completion percentage in passer rating is like one twenty something.

00:12:38
Speaker 3: It's ridiculous.

00:12:39
Speaker 4: I love it.

00:12:40
Speaker 3: It's non blitzed one boo boom.

00:12:44
Speaker 4: Not good.

00:12:44
Speaker 3: No, that's when he throws his picks.

00:12:46
Speaker 1: Little extra info for you, by which side of that game are you on?

00:12:50
Speaker 4: Vikings Bengals?

00:12:51
Speaker 2: I think we're on the same side of that one too. Okay, goal goal, let's go yeah, are you are you around.

00:12:59
Speaker 3: What are you viking?

00:13:00
Speaker 4: I don't feel strong about that one. I just was throwing that out there.

00:13:03
Speaker 1: We were talking about it in terms of the number I would take the Bengals the points.

00:13:06
Speaker 3: Okay. I just thought, okay, are you fair? Fair point?

00:13:10
Speaker 4: Okay?

00:13:10
Speaker 3: Rams, Oh, you're going right at it, baby.

00:13:14
Speaker 4: Plus three and a half.

00:13:17
Speaker 1: One of the most balanced teams so far in the NFL, the Los Angeles Rams offense defense both look ready. I look at the Eagles and as much continuity, I just being there ready for the season in a way that a lot of teams aren't.

00:13:31
Speaker 4: You know, they're kind of I like it.

00:13:33
Speaker 3: It just sounded funny. They're ready, They're.

00:13:35
Speaker 4: Ready to pounce. This game is big. This game is big.

00:13:38
Speaker 1: All the Rams have been honking about all off season how close we were to the Eagles. They were sending it out to I saw it in the season ticket holder email that, like you know, we were, we were only a few plays away from beating the eventual champions.

00:13:52
Speaker 4: And it's true statement. That's not why I'm picking them.

00:13:56
Speaker 1: I just look at who's playing better right now, and the Kevin Batuloh Philadelphia Eagles offense just feels.

00:14:02
Speaker 4: A little bit static.

00:14:04
Speaker 1: I think the Eagles offense will get better throughout the course of the season. I think their pass rush will get better throughout the course of the season. Entering Week three, it's been average their pass rush. The offense has been a little below average. And then I look at the Rams and I think they've come out firing.

00:14:23
Speaker 4: DeVante.

00:14:23
Speaker 1: Adams is such a big part of this offense. It looks like Steve Avola, who's a starting guard for them, might be back for this game. He's back at practice. That's bit because they were missing two starters. That is obviously worrisome for them. But man, Davante and Stafford are so much fun to watch. I think year two Chris Shula versus year one Kevin Patulo and kind of looking at the fresh ideas mcveigh's got popping with Davante and everything, I just feel like they're a little more ready ready, a little ready, They're ready, you know what I mean, A lot of seat I know we are. Are you gonna make it one of your picks now? Because it's not an underdog that I liked my theme today?

00:15:03
Speaker 3: Yeah, this isn't often that I get a theme.

00:15:05
Speaker 1: You know, it's much better whenever you see a team that you think is gonna win straight up like I had with the Falcons and Seahawks last week for right, since and they're underdogs, then you take them.

00:15:16
Speaker 4: You love that, That's right.

00:15:16
Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just gonna stick with my theme.

00:15:18
Speaker 1: And by the way, the hook the three and a half point hooked. You're always talking about that. It got me again.

00:15:23
Speaker 4: It did. It got me again, here with the here with the Rams. But you know what, last week it worked out. Actually in the two games, I ended up being ran in those two. Give me your last pick.

00:15:32
Speaker 3: Okay, so last, but not least. Are you ready for this?

00:15:36
Speaker 4: Are you? I'm writing your pick?

00:15:38
Speaker 1: Okay, perfect, So I don't forget them. The Patriots ooh, I do agree with you on this, but I'm like a little freaked out. Well it's also your team, like you know, I know, but I'm often very negative. Last week, I want to know part of Patriots Dolphins. You were right on that one, But this one I like the matchup.

00:15:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, well the matchup matchups makes for fights, right, And now you're getting a Drake may who I mean, he's been playing very well. I think this is a Trevion Henderson Breakoutum, I think we see that's really the kind of last piece in this beginning season puzzle that needs to come together.

00:16:14
Speaker 3: It's all about the defensive front for me, though, did I say that?

00:16:16
Speaker 2: Right?

00:16:17
Speaker 3: Defensive front, deferentive front.

00:16:18
Speaker 4: So they've played great so far.

00:16:20
Speaker 2: Milton, guys like Milton, you know, guys like Harold. Like, it's all these old names, old people names, Milton, Harold Orrin, They're all great. You know how many Harolds do you know?

00:16:30
Speaker 1: They have a Christian exactly, Klevon. That kind of goes against your theory.

00:16:36
Speaker 2: I still think as a percentage their defensive starters have old names.

00:16:39
Speaker 4: They do sound like they're from like the nineteen ten good old.

00:16:42
Speaker 3: Milton, you know.

00:16:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, But when you're looking at a guy like Milton, who's got I don't know, the second most wave two sacks, like the second most pressures for defensive tackle, Like that's a huge deal. And he's not even fully kind of integrated into the Rabel system yet. Right, it's only been two games. So I just think their defense is more than what the is going on for the The old line for the Steelers can handle. And we've seen these short passes again from Aaron Rodgers. Everyone's like, he's good to Aaron out this year, he's got to key Mickalf he's gonna be MVP for him, And was.

00:17:11
Speaker 3: Like, what if he's just mid.

00:17:13
Speaker 2: That's okay to be mid, you know, like not not mid for every human beag, but mid Aaron Rodgers.

00:17:19
Speaker 4: That's not bad mid for an average NFL starting.

00:17:21
Speaker 2: Course, that's right, Like, but not, I'm no one. You can't expect him to do all these crazy, you know, Rogers to Rogers passes anymore. Like, let's let's go with what works, the shorter passes, and New England's really good at defending those under ten are yard passes. So it's just not matchups makes fights, man, and are we're getting Christian Zalez back for goodness sake?

00:17:39
Speaker 1: It sounds optimistic. He's been back at practice. Then again, he didn't practice since late July, so I always think that's a little weird too. And then you you're immediately playing in a game five days later, so we will see. I think he's massive for this game. So because you mentioned the numbers are good on the short passes, I agree the matchup helps them. They're by far their biggest weakness as a team is the deep passes. They are just getting bombed away. Like their defense is stunk this year. Really, I mean, they're one of the worst defense in the league overall in terms of against the past. But if you have Gonzales out there, he can match up with DK Metcalf and then it's like who else do the Steelers really have?

00:18:18
Speaker 4: That's what I'm Oh, wait, I don't know.

00:18:20
Speaker 3: I mean the tight end, right, Johnny Smith, I guess, but.

00:18:23
Speaker 4: Like Friarmouth, Matt Washington, Darne Washington, I mean.

00:18:27
Speaker 2: But if you can't run, and like Jalen Warren, everyone's calling Fantasy World being like this is the Jalen.

00:18:32
Speaker 3: Warren breakout moment, blah blah blah blah.

00:18:34
Speaker 2: I don't know if I see it, because I think that this is where this is like Rabelle teams are like Belichick teams, right, they come together, they get the defense gets better.

00:18:44
Speaker 1: Right, I'm telling you, I love the Travion breakout.

00:18:47
Speaker 3: Travion breakout is.

00:18:49
Speaker 2: I just think at some point there's gonna be the Josh McDaniels moment where he's like, let's just and the Steelers defense has not looked like.

00:18:56
Speaker 4: A Steeler Oh, they've they've been really bad.

00:18:58
Speaker 3: So you tell me that swing pass to Travian's not gonna work against that.

00:19:02
Speaker 4: I was excited.

00:19:03
Speaker 1: And you know, look, if you're if you're a daily NFL daily listeners, which it was my favorite kind, not just popping in for the recap or the preview or what about the people. This one's doing big numbers. It's great, so you get some extra info. Because after we taped the preview episode. You know, I treated myself this morning Stationary Bike watched a little All twenty two Uh Patriots, which I hadn't gotten. Tokay, what a great game by Josh McDaniels last week. Obviously the matchup helps a lot, but I actually thought Travon Henderson was explosive and powerful there, and it.

00:19:37
Speaker 4: Looks really good.

00:19:38
Speaker 1: The problem is his reputation was in past protection being really good and he made a couple of mistakes there. But other than that, I'm with you. I think I think it's close, and their runblocking looks pretty good. Will Campbell and the rest of the offensive line looked pretty good.

00:19:50
Speaker 3: So old short arms out there.

00:19:52
Speaker 1: I'm with you, speaking of which I mean my arms aren't too long either. I'm doing something I feel bad about I'm going against the Lions as my third pick. I'm taking the Ravens minus four and a half. I'm really into the whole What time of year are we playing the team who's going to be better later? I think the Eagles, for instance, If this is Eagles hosting the Rams, and you could tell me that just that at games in December, I'm not taking the Rams plus three and a half, just a sight unseen. I just think it's gonna be a different game than same thing here. I think the Lions defense is going to figure some things out over the course of the season. Sure, I just don't think they're going to be there yet. I think the Ravens, on the other hand, you're two of this defensive system, you're you know, three of the offensive system. I don't think there's enough pass rush. You give me a team.

00:20:37
Speaker 3: That as Marcus Davenport, yeah right, the problem.

00:20:40
Speaker 1: He's hurt and him being like the only other guy with Hutchinson going up against Lamar. Is this new Lions offensive line ready to win a shootout?

00:20:50
Speaker 4: It's in my head a little bit.

00:20:52
Speaker 1: The last time they played a couple of years ago, thirty eight to six Ravens over the year.

00:20:56
Speaker 2: Then since the Lions have beat the Ravens, I do ask twenty. That's crazy that they've only played five times. I mean, that's a little ticky tacking because they've only played five times.

00:21:06
Speaker 4: It also been aften here.

00:21:08
Speaker 1: Maybe the first matchup means a little bit though, because same coaching staffs. They know the coordinators are different for the Lions and everything. But that was during a great Lion season and they got waxed.

00:21:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, there's an alternate universe where they're still running against the line right like it. They just keep running around like the world like it.

00:21:25
Speaker 1: They can make Jared Goff uncomfortable. And look, I'm convinced that this is going to be an elite Lions offense. That's why I have them in the Super Bowl, and I think they can figure things out over the course of the season. So when I say GoF uncomfortable, I mean it's Matta Bike or Travis Jones or someone just like one time getting one of those quick pressures interior rush. GoF makes one mistake and then they're chasing the points the whole game. I love points. I think it's like forty one to thirty one. You know, I don't think it's anything where the lines are embarrassed afterwards, like thirty eight to six, or it's forty one to thirty four, you know what I mean. Or it's thirty seven to thirty. Fans would take that too, would they losing? Yes, by it don't look like an idiot. They just don't want to be made to look like a fool, right, Like.

00:22:08
Speaker 4: They're gonna be one and two if they don't win this game. Okay, you want to win.

00:22:13
Speaker 3: Everyone wants to win.

00:22:14
Speaker 2: But but if you're winner, But if you're thinking about it objectively from the Lions fandom standwich, I could stay this because I am one when you're looking at the opportunity, like you just don't want to get embarrassed. You don't want to look like you don't belong on the field with them, Like that's what happened last time. And yeah, it was during a great season and it was later in the season, so they had more you know, of a cachet going into that game. And the same thing happened last year in Houston, right the Texans game.

00:22:38
Speaker 3: They looked awful. So there's gonna there's always one where you look bad.

00:22:43
Speaker 2: Well, but I think Lions fans, and you know, after that Week one situation against the Packers, ain't.

00:22:47
Speaker 3: Nobody want to lose the Packers in the NFC North.

00:22:50
Speaker 2: So I think that there's as long as it's clothed, no one's gonna.

00:22:53
Speaker 3: Be like, oh they're right, they're garbage, throw them out, blah blah blah.

00:22:56
Speaker 1: Like this, let's relax, like as long as it's not to one sided like that Packers game. And I I say, like the defensive performance against Chicago didn't convince me at all, Like the pass rush really wasn't that much better? Caleb, I actually thought looked decent in that game, Like I think it was an okay performance, but I'm not shocked. The liners looked okay, right right, and the line's offense is gonna be great. So I think it's a high scoring game before and a half points not enough for me. I am going Ravens. And you know we do the extras, right, I write down the act picks. How don't have any this week? I only really like these three. I had written four, like the fourth was the Titans as an underdog, but I'm not even putting that as an official extra pick because I just didn't have it. Maybe it's maybe this two and four record to start is spooking me.

00:23:38
Speaker 4: But I looked at I looked at.

00:23:40
Speaker 1: The whole board, and I I just write down ones that I like, and then I see, okay, which what the stack is. And sometimes it's like two that I really like, and then I have to force that. Sometimes it's like seven this this week was just three. Last week I went two and two on the extras. So I think we have a winning record for the extras for the season, and so that's good.

00:24:00
Speaker 4: I think we're what.

00:24:02
Speaker 3: That's how the extras roll though every time.

00:24:04
Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. I think we were what.

00:24:06
Speaker 2: It's like your second shot in golf, right, your second first shot, you know, like your mulligan those that's what the box.

00:24:11
Speaker 3: There's no pressure, you just hit it nice and easy.

00:24:14
Speaker 1: It's true we got I think that's four and two on the extra games.

00:24:18
Speaker 4: But those are our three picks. I was back in the day.

00:24:22
Speaker 1: Nothing I liked better as a high school student than working at a couple of different golf clubs and you could just play for free afterwards. Just like a sixteen seventeen year old version of myself and a joint and a friend with a cart and nine holes at about five pm on a there you go, summer afternoon. Forget about it. That's it hasn't gotten any better since then. That was pretty much the peak.

00:24:49
Speaker 3: You peaked the peak early.

00:24:51
Speaker 4: Everyone. Check out this show on YouTube.

00:24:55
Speaker 1: If it's in your ears, you can see the professional television work of sin just pointing in the camera and telling them not to blitz Jake Browning. That's why she's great on NFL Network and everything she does. And I'm more of a podcaster. You can check her out on Game Day morning on Sunday, and then more importantly check out her YouTube numbers game and your show with Logan Ryan. But yeah, if you like the picks here, she goes through all the games on her YouTube channel.

00:25:23
Speaker 4: So that's it.

00:25:24
Speaker 1: Good luck to your lions next week and uh yeah, you'll see us and hear us in your feed Sunday evening.

00:25:33
Speaker 4: We are on till week three.

00:25:35
Speaker 3: Is shop coming in?

00:25:36
Speaker 4: Shuk's not coming in, but he's gonna be. He's gonna be on the box.

00:25:40
Speaker 3: We got we got Clay Bond just making sure.

00:25:43
Speaker 4: We just did the Thursday night game. It's all shook all the time. See US
