Our guest this week is the infamous David Portnoy. Dave was on episode one hundred. It's crazy to think that episode one hundred, we were still doing the dance, like, what's our relationship with Dave? We work with him, we work for them with there's really a whole bunch of gray over what's going on. What is this thing really gonna turn into? And I will let you know. In the last year and a half or however long it's taken us to get to episode two hundred, the friendship levels have really just done this. There was a moment there where his fiance or his girlfriend thought I was gay. Ron's girl thought I was gay. That was a fun, little bonding moment for us because at the at the end of the day, we don't know. At the end of the day, I don't even know the answer for that. Everyone's a little gay. I'm just trying to figure out what my meter is. Boys, what percentage are we at here? We have had the man's amazing. He was on the very famous Joe Rogan podcast number one in like ninety three different countries. We talked about why people do not like Dave. We've talked about Dave's cloud stories, what he gets into those types of things. How we think Barstool's going to change right Barstool's going through a changing at the guard right now where Penn National Gaming is has officially purchased. I believe it's already happened. The transaction is complete, if not about to be complete. Where Dave no longer owns Penn Gaming. What's that look like for him? What is his contract with Barstool? When is his contract ends? When his contract ends, does he re up? What's he going to do next? Does he go and does his own thing? Does he go work for somebody else? Or does he go right after the sunset getting those real meaty tanks start to look a little piece of a little leather Look he looks a little leathery, And that's okay because he's got a good little vibe about him. My man spends all the time in Miami. He shows us his house. I believe he In the episode, you guys have to see a piece of his house right, correct, It's incredible. It's an amazing time. A lot of stuff on the horizon, and for the boys, obviously, the tear talk this week had to do with pizza. 00:03:03 Speaker 2: We went best Pizza. 00:03:04 Speaker 1: Chains, and I'll be honest with you, we are on different parts of the spectrum when it call it comes to what we believe is good pizza. When it comes to just the chains, well, and I very humble, very ground that we have not been cultured in the way of the pizza world the way Dave Portnoy has been able to do. He had some names, he said some names. I've never even heard it before. But it's an incredible time, and you guys are have an amazing time. More amazing times on the horizon, the boys. You're listening to this, it's Tuesday. We're filming this on Thursday right now. Why am I giving you some insider information? That's sorry, it's Friday right now. Why am I giving you this inside information? Because this weekend, while we're uploading this little piece, the Boys will be headed to maybe the greatest scene in the Union, Arizona for the Super Bowl. Because best year of us with the Boys history twenty twenty three. We have to deliver to you. We've promised, and you guys have been delivering to us well we've expected and hoped, and that is views on views one, views on views. You guys have been absolutely incredible. What a wonderful, crazy life you are getting, not only myself in will to live, but the boys in back the experiences were able to have the experiences we're able to do because you guys subscribe, unsubscribe or resubscribe every fucking day. For us, we don't deserve it, but goddamn boys, we really fucking appreciate it. We have a huge Super Bowl lineup obviously Monday and Tuesday. You're gonna be able to fall along with us all our boy Mitchie, who's right now on the computer, like ray Man or the guy from Italian Job who had the music taken away from him. He's out there fucking stopping lights, making red lights sturned green, green lights, shurnt red and maybe yellow sometimes. If you in a little caution, making sure that we have the ability to keep you guys up to the present of everything we're doing as fast as we possibly can, you're gonna be able to see into our lives. You're gonna be able to watch on bus scenes, vlogs, a whole bunch of stuff, including episodes that will come out with these incredible guests. Because the super Bowl is not only an incredible game, It's not only an amazing place where two elite football teams get to fight for the number one prize in their sport, but it's also a place where a lot of networking goes on. A lot of people who's who in the zoo comes in, flies in, takes their jets or their commercial flights Southwest not judging. We all have our ways of getting there, right. It's playing trains and automobiles type things you get in Arizona. Now we get to all hang out and we're having a beautiful time. This is like a melting pot, baby. This is what America is built on. Is this melting pot, all these people coming together in the great state of Arizona. And we are lucky enough to be a part of that, not only because of the boys in the back working their ass off, but also you guys every single day doing that. It's gonna be amazing. This episode's going to be amazing. I think I think we need to do shout out for shot out of the week. You know what I'd forgot to say that our shoutout in No Free Shadow is presented by Whistle Pig Whiskey, the most delicious, the only whiskey you could ever find in your life that will literally change with the seasons for you. It's wintertime, frigid cold. Maybe went skiing. I was in Park City of Utah, my five year old ski I was cold. I had seven layers on. 00:06:03 Speaker 2: What I do? 00:06:04 Speaker 1: Sip of that warm the belly. I feel so much better right now, cruises down my throat and sits on the top of my tummy like a warm little furnace. 00:06:11 Speaker 2: Going. 00:06:12 Speaker 1: Go ahead, Bob, you can last twenty thirty more minutes here. You gonna be all right because I got you. It's a partner in life, not a crutch. It's a partner in life. Now, let's kick it over the summertime. We're profuse. You sweating your boy. I've lost some weight, but still bake time sweater. Maybe it's sodium deficiency. Maybe it's not a sodium deficiency. But we do know when I am parched and I take a swig. When I take a swig, get the product in there. When I take a swig of this busting with the boy select whistle Pig Whiskey. I know now it has gone down my throat, set on my tummy, and he goes, hey, we're gonna keep it cool and feeling good the rest of the day. Go ahead and keep riding, buddy. I don't even know what it is. This is like a salute. 00:07:16 Speaker 3: It's the pig. 00:07:17 Speaker 1: That's the I probably could have guessed that. I probably could have guessed it was the Pig Boys. So there's a little pig, a little pig on top, which is fun. Right, you show your friends you look over at the liquor cabinet and you're like, you see that one, like, oh, what's that one? And they obviously point to the moment. With a little pig on top, you look a little more fancier without breaking the bank. The next bundle you can get on that is you get this bottle whiskey full with the pig on top. And there's also like an orange bitters, an orange syrup, an orange maple syrup, an orange maple syrup. You put in that, you throw that in there, a couple of bitters, maybe an orange wedge. 00:07:47 Speaker 2: What do you have their? 00:07:47 Speaker 1: Boys, got yourself an orange fashion ad sugar don't ice sugar. 00:07:50 Speaker 2: That's up to you. 00:07:50 Speaker 1: I'm not gonna take how to live your life. And that's the best part about it. You don't even have to describe it as anybody. Everybody knows. It's that that tiny pieces of ice. That's sonica. And it's no better feeling when you go to like a gas station, fill up in the styrofoam cup and you go and put your cup up there and the good ice comes out. 00:08:52 Speaker 1: When you get the good ice, you might not even get a drink after that. You mean, honest, I have this ice to chew on now, I might not even need a drink anymore. I've already got a little presents. It's like a tree. 00:09:02 Speaker 5: You know what else rips about it? 00:09:04 Speaker 6: It's not just a texture and the crunch of it, but the sound it makes when it falls in the cup. 00:09:08 Speaker 1: Oh, brother, oh yeah, just a dump. It is a dump because sometimes you put it on there you hear like the machines grinding like fun. 00:09:15 Speaker 2: We gotta get some ice for this guy. 00:09:17 Speaker 1: We got to work into that is ready to ready with comes correct, absolutely comes correct. What an outstandings starts to shout out, no free shadow of the week, Jackie boy, what do you have for us? 00:09:28 Speaker 6: My shout out no free shadow goes to being productive on a Friday. You're already you're letting it loose so early. But this morning I got up, we got a bunch of stuff done. How to run into Aprey Mills? You know, did this and that? 00:09:47 Speaker 5: We came here, did a secret interview. 00:09:49 Speaker 1: Can't talk about it, talk about. 00:09:51 Speaker 2: It will be out by now. Though it will be out by now, we'll be able to actually. 00:09:54 Speaker 3: Won't say it. Hey, fuck it, d don't say it. 00:09:56 Speaker 1: Don't say it. 00:09:57 Speaker 3: Don't say it because we might not be out by now. Buddy. 00:10:00 Speaker 1: It is supposed to be out in the next twenty four hours. It tweeted big news coming, big news, better fucking come Otherwise I'm gonna like an idiot like the Tom Brady tweet. 00:10:06 Speaker 6: Hot out those tier ones that are still with us, and they didn't skip to the Dave interview. 00:10:10 Speaker 5: They get a little bit more of an information, But I. 00:10:12 Speaker 2: Think we wait, we wait, who knows? I just wait? Yeah, shout out no free shot. 00:10:16 Speaker 6: Outs to get getting shit done before the weekend starts. 00:10:19 Speaker 2: And that's it. 00:10:21 Speaker 7: Outstanding jack, good stuff eight mene. So my shoutout, no free shodow. It also has to do with ice. Oh so it could be the first live hack we were ever introduced to without even knowing a couple of weeks ago, did a little throwback, made some ravioli. 00:10:42 Speaker 2: And that shit was hot. 00:10:44 Speaker 3: What did I do? 00:10:44 Speaker 7: I went to the fridge, clicked the ice, dropped an ice cuber two in there. Let it cool off a little bit. Yeah, my shoutout goes to the to the first life hack we learned putting ice in your ravioli. 00:10:55 Speaker 1: Hey listen that it might be an underrated boy there getting that night hot, nice hot, little tasty treat a little bit earlier than you need to because you don't want to burn the roof of your mouth. That's an exciting one. That's a good one. 00:11:07 Speaker 2: It took me back. 00:11:08 Speaker 7: I did it without even like thinking it. It just naturally happened. 00:11:11 Speaker 1: When you said the first life hack, the first thing that came to my mind was creating popsicles. I said, just stick that for my shadow for shot this week. But the point that with the toothpicks, make some lemonade or some high Sea or some shit like that. Damn, I thought was ready to hit you with that. That was boys very good shadow of free Showers. My shadow of free shadow is I think he's gonna go on line with Jack's a little bit being a little more productive. And that is the night before bed, getting your outfit ready before. 00:11:44 Speaker 2: The next day. 00:11:46 Speaker 1: Dude, that happens one percent of the time. But when you were able to think about, man, maybe let me just put this little shit together real quick and all just how hey, or here's my pants, here's my shirt, this is what I'm gonna wear? A boom that morning you wake up, because there is always a tin bit of a scramble that goes to your head like fuck, dude, what am I gonna wear? What kind of vibe am I going to try to present to the outside world looking at you a little investment in me, just from an eyes of view, and this gives you the opportunity to make the decision the night before. Billionaires do it, boys, billionaires do it. Maybe we should all do a little more JP. 00:12:15 Speaker 2: I have one question. 00:12:18 Speaker 4: When you're laying out your clothes for the next day, how do you lay them out? 00:12:22 Speaker 2: Do you lay them out like unfolded? 00:12:24 Speaker 4: Like ow you're you know I'm talking about Oh. 00:12:26 Speaker 1: No, yeah, yeah, no, that's a little that's a little too like serial killer. 00:12:30 Speaker 8: It's a little too serial killer. 00:12:31 Speaker 3: I have a. 00:12:32 Speaker 1: Mannequin in my house, and I dressed the mannicact. I'll have to look great in this. 00:12:35 Speaker 4: I just mixture tailor's massive clothes on the floor laid out there. 00:12:40 Speaker 3: Boys. 00:12:40 Speaker 1: You know me like I got like three outfits during the week. I've usually just take my pants out by the bed and then I put them back on. But if I know, I got some shit to do in the morning. 00:12:47 Speaker 6: But to me, the best benefit of your shout out is the stress free shower you get to experience when you know the second you're getting Now you go, oh, my clothes. 00:12:55 Speaker 2: Are waiting for me. 00:12:56 Speaker 5: They're waiting to get Hi. I'm just getting out. I'm drying off, I mean, and I'm out of the house. 00:13:00 Speaker 8: And no lotion for Jack, just in and out, but no deodor for Jack, just little in. 00:13:04 Speaker 1: And out at dude, it is a nice little feeling. No for me, I just take it off the hanger. I cand of just throw them. I have like this little off the hanger. 00:13:14 Speaker 8: Rich. 00:13:15 Speaker 1: Yeah, boys, I got lots of hangers, dude, we got lots of hangers out there in the lawan household. You brought up showers, and I know KFC radio talked about this, shower in the morning or shower at night. What's our vibe on that we want to save this? 00:13:31 Speaker 3: What do you mean just I don't know if I feel like this go. I guess we could be sure with it. 00:13:35 Speaker 1: We can be short with it. It doesn't have to be a long discussion. But boys, we're doing an intro. This is our time. This is our time for the four of us to enjoy our morning. 00:13:43 Speaker 4: I am shower at night all the way. There's no other correct answer out there, right, It's just. 00:13:52 Speaker 6: Look, we've talked about this recently. I like to work out at night as opposed to in the morning. So I'm obviously going to hit go by the way that night shower. But there's nothing better than getting that that fresh cold water on you, like right in the beginning of the morning. I mean, just getting the fucking shit rolling. 00:14:09 Speaker 5: I don't know. 00:14:10 Speaker 6: I'm a both guy, and maybe that's maybe that's not as eco friendly as I want to promote. 00:14:16 Speaker 5: Hey, there's enough water to go around. 00:14:17 Speaker 1: All those older mothers out there listening. Everyone knows Jack's double clean, double clean clean. 00:14:22 Speaker 8: Bro. 00:14:23 Speaker 1: Also, don't when you said that fresh cold shower in the morning, are we a little bit of a biole hacker out there. 00:14:27 Speaker 6: Homide Dude, there's some mornings you just gotta throw it on cold and you gotta suffer through that ship. Yeah, and it really will change you. I'm not gonna go out there and be that doctor guy that everyone is like. The cold tub is like a right now, Like you've been on the cold tubs for a while. It's like a huge thing in the social media realm. Everyone's you know, making their own cold tubs. They got on the back porch, they're trying to do the bathtub scientists like, yeah, it does this. 00:14:51 Speaker 1: Yeah, and I agree with thes do. 00:14:53 Speaker 6: But I don't need a guy who works construction telling me how a cold punch is gonna affect my You know, metabolic raise. 00:14:59 Speaker 1: Do you think you're better than them? 00:15:00 Speaker 2: Yeah, he's obviously, but cold shower. 00:15:05 Speaker 5: Sure, I'm both guys though. 00:15:06 Speaker 1: All right, I like that, Mitch. I saw you pop up in the back. I want to get your opinion. Go ahead, bub Sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off. 00:15:12 Speaker 2: I just thought, you know, I'm morning guy all the ways. 00:15:16 Speaker 8: I just. 00:15:19 Speaker 2: Wake up. 00:15:20 Speaker 3: Go that's dirty, bro. 00:15:25 Speaker 1: I hate when dudes say crap instead of sh. 00:15:30 Speaker 2: I hate when dudes do that. But go ahead. The man match is not about JP right now. 00:15:33 Speaker 9: I wake up right right in the morning, go right down to the gym, workout in my apartment, and then just shower and then I'm good for the day. 00:15:40 Speaker 2: I'm not doing like throughout the day. I'm not really like sweating all that. 00:15:43 Speaker 9: Yeah, so I'm not really per se getting dirty or smelly like. So that's just in the morning. You wake up it like it helps wake you up, and then that's what it is. 00:15:52 Speaker 1: A cold shower or warm shower. 00:15:55 Speaker 3: Uh. 00:15:55 Speaker 9: I normally do warm shower, but like in the summer when it gets hot, like just nothing beats a cold shower. 00:16:00 Speaker 1: That is a good little move there, unless you keep your your room real cold. 00:16:04 Speaker 2: I keep my room cold. 00:16:05 Speaker 3: I can't sleep if it's hot. 00:16:08 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:16:09 Speaker 3: Hey, well, I don't know why. 00:16:10 Speaker 1: That brought me back to the popschool thing for the shadow no for shoudow. But everyone just forget I said that because that's my shadow no for shower next week. 00:16:17 Speaker 3: Huh oh. 00:16:18 Speaker 4: That started to notice people that do the morning showers, just like the flex that they're either taking cold showers or they're working out early or whatever. There's there's some like weird flexing going on with the morning shower people. 00:16:30 Speaker 1: There there's a posturing. There's some posturing going on with those people. 00:16:34 Speaker 4: Garrett. 00:16:35 Speaker 1: It seems like we got a two to one. 00:16:37 Speaker 2: It's a two to one right now. Are you a morning or your night guy? 00:16:40 Speaker 7: I think it's about to be two to two because I'm gonna have to side with JP. 00:16:47 Speaker 1: Wait, Mitch in the backs. Let's go Mitch in morning? 00:16:52 Speaker 2: Correct? 00:16:52 Speaker 3: Yeah? Are you moing morning? 00:16:54 Speaker 2: I said, Jack, Bro, you're not that clean dog. 00:17:01 Speaker 6: Oh three, Jack, No, I gotta go tonight because I'm I hit that gym at night. So I'm not gonna be you know, dirty ass in the sheets. 00:17:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you don't wanna be dirty ass in the sheets. JP, you said night so at night night morning Jack took. 00:17:19 Speaker 2: The words out of my out of my mouth. Not gonna be dirty in the sheets. 00:17:22 Speaker 1: They want to be dirty in the sheets. It's a nighttime shower. 00:17:24 Speaker 7: You got a nighttime shower because sleep is the most important thing. And if I get in my bed and any part of me feels out of swords, lucky fuck that. 00:17:34 Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't want that, you can't sleep. 00:17:36 Speaker 7: But I mean, I didn't shower this morning, and I feel great, but I showered last night. 00:17:41 Speaker 1: I thought about taking a shower this morning before a big, big time exclusive interview we had, but I looked at the time. I slept for twelve hours last night. It was incredible. But you showered last night, so you're good. I did shower last night. Hey, you showered last night. 00:17:53 Speaker 3: No, I'm not. 00:17:54 Speaker 1: I'm gonna be real with people. 00:17:57 Speaker 3: We know Taylor's I didn't say you're dirty. 00:17:59 Speaker 1: I said you're not that. Yeah, there is a big difference there. Dude, Your boy does lack in the shower department. Sometimes it's kind of fucked up to say I do. There is a feeling though of you're a little dirty, and I get in the sheets, I'm like, fuck this, I gotta I gotta rip this. 00:18:13 Speaker 2: Real quick to use the soap. 00:18:14 Speaker 3: Get in there, rints, get in there and rints. Yeah, just rinse it out. 00:18:18 Speaker 1: When you get longer hair though, you know this, dude, it gets grimy fast. I gotta do it because of my beer. I got a nice little facial treatment to you. I don't know if the people are seeing what's going on with my face, but it's getting younger by the day. I do have a nice little thing, but that doesn't might make my hair a little more oily. That's just money, boys, that's just money. We're all in the hustle together. Speaking of the big game, Oh, I forgot to say mine, I'm a nighttime shower guy. 00:20:14 Speaker 2: The big game. 00:20:17 Speaker 3: Who we got? I'll go first. 00:20:19 Speaker 1: I was the last one to speak, So we'll just flip it around, right, We'll do that and we'll come back. I simply put, I believe the Philadelphia Eagles are too good. I think I'm worried about Patrick Mahomes. He has the ankle. I know he doubted him before, and we saw what he did against the Bengals him losing his We see rius whether it's a pelvis and knee and ankle. Blah blah blah. Patrick Mahomes is the best young quarterback in the NFL. He's a generational talent. If they win, I am more than glad to eat these words. But I believe the Philadelphia Eagles top two bottom are a better football team inside and out other than the quarterback position. I think Jalen Hurts is amazing. I just think Patrick Mahomes is the few. He's a baby goat right now. He just came out of the He's stuck it on the tit still he's doing his thing, getting his legs about him. But boys and girls, we are witnessing a goat and what a better time the witness of goat? 00:21:08 Speaker 2: Does one goat leaves to another? Goat? 00:21:10 Speaker 1: Enters JP, Who do you think is gonna win this game? I got the Eagles, bo, we got two for the Eagles boys. 00:21:18 Speaker 2: I'm fly Eagles Fly, Fly, Eagles Fly. 00:21:20 Speaker 1: Is it consensus? We're riding with the Eagles with the Eagles boys. You've heard it on the tour month episode the Boys on the bus Skeleton Crew, Skeleton Crew. So we know Boss is not on here, we know Mitch's nining, and we know exactly who Mitch's gonna go with. But based on the gentleman we have on this bus right now, we are a Fly Eagles Fly podcast for the next week when this episode comes out. What an incredible time to ride and it feels good. Now we're all riding with the Eagles. What would cause the Eagles to lose this game? What is going to be the reason why the Eagles fall? Is it just Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelcey, is the defense is it. Chris Joe is the Frank Clark. Do you guys, if anything in the back you think that would unseat the Eagles in the situation we're flying Eagles flying for this podcast, AJ Brown fans, the. 00:22:08 Speaker 4: Only thing it would be is injuries. Other than that, it's a lock. 00:22:14 Speaker 2: Wow. 00:22:15 Speaker 5: If Kelsey Mahomes get going, that's what scared me. 00:22:19 Speaker 6: They're such a They're the Tom Brady and Gronk of the New era, and if they get going in a game like this on the stage that's set, that would make me super nervous as an Eagles fan. 00:22:31 Speaker 5: But other than that, I think the Eagles have been willing. 00:22:34 Speaker 6: Their way to this and willing yeah, and put a team on the destiny from the beginning. 00:22:38 Speaker 5: And if the Eagles win, I think technically we all. 00:22:42 Speaker 6: Win because there's two x Titans on the Eagles, breckerr and AJ Brown. So maybe we should get a ring And I think so too, And I'm already reaching out to the people to see if that's possible. 00:22:52 Speaker 5: So tune in next week to see if we do get this. 00:22:54 Speaker 1: Yeah, even if it's a Cubics for coronium ring, we don't need the diamonds in that. You go and put them fake boys in there. We'll do Clear's rings all day. As long as it says super Bowl. Can we say super Bowl? Super Bowl champions? We say super Bowl. 00:23:05 Speaker 2: Now. 00:23:05 Speaker 1: We just can't stay in an ad read. But if you were to go to the big game, he can use a game time app. Use a game time app. You get one hundred dollars off using barstool one hundred boom. That's for you. That's one more. It's a shameless plug for the game time now with Jason Kelcey and everything. Listen, Jason Kelcey could go off in this game, but if he doesn't have the receivers, his usual number one, two and three receiver, they're gonna double Jason Kelsey Elson all day. He's still gonna have. Sorry, Travis Kelsey, I appreciate you guys. They might double Jason as well. He's an outstanding center. Travis Kelcey is a fucking stud. He'll get out there, he'll have his catches. But is he gonna have the ability to make the yards he can with double coverage guys over him. That's yet to be seen. You can't just rely on one guy. Now, if the Eagles do win, which we expect them to win this football game. I am extremely happy for AJ Brown. What a fucking dub he has put on, he has posterized. He is dunked on the Tennessee Titan franchise. And that hurts me to say I was a teammate of his. I got two massive Titan fans in the back. We're all hurt at the fact that A. J. Brown is no longer on the Titans, but we can separate that. We can move that over to the side. Look at this main course of AJ Brown being traded, being paid, setting a receiving record for a massive franchise with a huge fan base, with a lot of great players that have been on it before. Now we can look at that and say, man, if he gets a ring, good for fucking AJ Brown. What a stud What a hard fought individualist, stick to his guns and what he wanted, getting what he wanted and making people pay for that. Now we're taking shots because of it, because we're Titans. We're Titans Podcast. Whether people like it or not, we are bias. Pat mcafish. He loves the Colts, We love the Titans, and that breaks our heart. But we can also be happy for AJ Brown, Is there anything I'm missing before we jump into this Dave Portannoy episode. I'm enjoying this. I'm enjoying this with the three of you twenty five minutes in three hour on a three hour banger Poornoid Dude. He goes into a lot of stuff. Dude talks about Joe Rogan, talks about the champagne bottles he's made, talks about how he's just the things that people hate him for. He explains a lot of that, and I think that's something people want to tune in for, even the people that hate him, because he is unapologetically himself and he has made mistakes that he has apologized for in a way that Dave Portnoy apologized for things. We co over that how he doesn't really say sorry, but he does mean sorry when he says the things he says. You guys are gonna love this one thing to talk about to Pat McAfee aj Hawk. Portnoy has gone on a record saying that, hey, that show probably doesn't happen if it's not for Dave Portnite. Now that is a big time Dave Portnoy thing to say. But you see the massive success those two individuals Pat McAfee and aj Hawker having happy for them, But Dave is slicing himself a little piece of that credit cake and giving it to himself. So without further ado, I think it's time you guys are blessed with this episode. Please subscribe, Please subscribe, Please resubscribe. And before we actually do get to the podcast, Merch Store needs you to hit that needs you go on. You want the bow time merch, you want the Budweiser gone gone forever. Actually that I'm realizing that has a double meeting because he's dead now. So that probably didn't That probably wasn't a good look for me. That probably wasn't a good look for me at all, honest mistake. I was thinking of when he was hitting dingers and he was in it was just prison, still talking about murder. So really I'm just wrong in saying that. But the bow tie merch is now gone. 00:26:27 Speaker 2: Well you can. 00:26:28 Speaker 1: Also do and I've I've tweeted it, Bustin has tweeted it, and Oliver and Will has also tweeted it. Is it what we're rolling? 00:27:09 Speaker 2: All right? Thank god? 00:27:11 Speaker 1: So just some context. Dave walks in here, guns guns fucking blazing right away, he. 00:27:15 Speaker 2: Walking, no, no, no, no, no gun. 00:27:18 Speaker 8: An hour and a half to get that was at eleven o'clock business place in Nashville. 00:27:22 Speaker 2: On a Wednesday. Showed up late and. 00:27:24 Speaker 1: Hour like, how what time is right now? 00:27:26 Speaker 2: I believe it. I believe it. I do so. 00:27:28 Speaker 3: Dave walks in. 00:27:29 Speaker 1: He gets mad at us that we don't we don't confirm. 00:27:31 Speaker 2: Listen, we confirmed. 00:27:32 Speaker 1: We said, hey, are you down to go? He said yeah. When we said this day, he said, I can do this day. 00:27:35 Speaker 2: So we did that day, just. 00:27:36 Speaker 8: If we're gonna start. The first punch was thrown by well, oh you're late, you know respect. It's like, well, I'm out right. So then it's like, all right, that's. 00:27:42 Speaker 2: What's a dozen? 00:27:43 Speaker 3: When I was one minute late, You're like, would you show up late for a meeting in the right? I said no, correct, I immediately no. 00:27:49 Speaker 2: Right, I know you, I know you. 00:27:51 Speaker 8: I know you guys on an NFL roster fifty three. So if you're fifty four to fifty three, you show up early. If you're one, if you're if you're the owner, you show up when you want. 00:28:00 Speaker 2: You're not the other. You don't know, miss, Yeah, but I do. 00:28:05 Speaker 3: No, No, I own How long is. 00:28:09 Speaker 2: The contract here? Are we are? As long as your contract? 00:28:12 Speaker 8: For more years? 00:28:13 Speaker 3: I own you? 00:28:14 Speaker 2: No? 00:28:14 Speaker 1: No, no, no, no no, Well we will have a call of daddy situation real quick. 00:28:21 Speaker 3: Yeah, are you fired enough to have us again for another two years? 00:28:26 Speaker 2: Yeah? 00:28:26 Speaker 8: I mean I don't talk to you as much. You don't confirm, you don't do nothing. If you confirmed, I would have been here on time, although probably not because the pizza review did take it very long. 00:28:35 Speaker 1: Hey, that last comment, you just gave yourself away. You would have been late regardless, So what are you arguing about. 00:28:39 Speaker 8: No, I would have gone earlier to the pizza. Like the pizza we went eleven fifteen. You would think that would be enough time. Yeah, you think so, but how far was the pizza away from here? 00:28:50 Speaker 1: Pieces fire? By the way, you did your best. However, you were still late. I'd be latest to be forgotten. 00:28:56 Speaker 8: Certainly would have sent a text, Hey, I'm gonna be late. But you guys don't communicate, so I didn't afford you. That's I don't understand. Why what do you mean we don't communicate because when someone's traveling you, you're like, hey, we're all set. Was still doing you guys don't If I didn't reach out, this would been the first time we talked. 00:29:14 Speaker 3: We went through this. 00:29:15 Speaker 2: No, we did, we went through last time. When were you going to reach out? 00:29:21 Speaker 3: The first podcast that gazz because you weren't responding to me and I had to get with Gaz on when you're traveling in. 00:29:29 Speaker 2: When were you bring up those receipts? When were we going to reach out? 00:29:33 Speaker 3: If what? 00:29:34 Speaker 2: I didn't reach out? 00:29:35 Speaker 8: Hey, it was still on yeah yesterday yesterday, Yeah, because you you reached out and said hey, noon, and so we just said yeah, because you're a busy guy. 00:29:45 Speaker 2: That's it. That's exactly it. 00:29:46 Speaker 3: So there's a part of us that wants to be respectful of you coming in. We don't know what you're doing. That makes sense. 00:29:52 Speaker 1: You confirmed on Monday Wednesday at noon, still correct, and then Will said yeah, that works for us. 00:29:58 Speaker 2: It was like it was confirmed that if you want to swing bye, Will cool, We'll be here. That's how that episode, last episode. 00:30:11 Speaker 3: Rex. 00:30:14 Speaker 1: You know, I don't do well reading, but I will Monday seven o nine pm. Dave Portnoy Wednesday at noon, still good, Will Compton. Yeah that works for us. You in town overnight. 00:30:26 Speaker 2: Commercial would hope. 00:30:28 Speaker 1: That's why I was asking I'd be coming in tomorrow night, Will okay out Wednesday or staying until Thursday? Dave out Wednesday night. I didn't say anything in this group chat. 00:30:39 Speaker 8: So like just so, I I walked my ass to a commercial flight. 00:30:43 Speaker 2: Get on the plane. I'm taking commercial home. 00:30:45 Speaker 8: So before I bored my plane, I want to make sure this is happening. That's not crazy. I would expect some common flasts and last. 00:30:54 Speaker 2: Night's receipts with uh, Caleb, Well, hang on, I. 00:30:58 Speaker 8: Know it last weas Caleb knows that here Kayla's been with the program for I was like, Hey, you're in Nashville. 00:31:03 Speaker 2: We're all gonna grab group dinner. Right. 00:31:04 Speaker 8: I'm like, well, no one's fucking asked me or talk to me. Am I responsible for playing it? 00:31:08 Speaker 2: I don't know. 00:31:09 Speaker 8: I said I'd love to. I'd love to. Let's let's we're gonna go the Vandy basketball game. I was gonna push that aside. I go talk to Will, talk to Taylor. Let's get a group dinner. You said no, you said yes. So I'm like, all right, fucking I'm going Vandy game. I'll see you guys tomorrow. No, that's not at all really what happened. 00:31:23 Speaker 1: It's not I think the group chat was speaking for Wednesday night. 00:31:26 Speaker 3: Yeah, no, wrong, yesterday, six fourteen pm. Here we go boys. By the way, Presley eight am basts. Dave is deciding whether to stay tomorrow for dinner or get out of town. 00:31:37 Speaker 8: No, no, no, all, that's what the receipts say. 00:31:40 Speaker 3: Do you guys have albligators or you don't grab for tonight? I yeah, my wife has a workshop. I got to be home and be dad at six thirty. I said, I gotta be home at six thirty. And I said, I can get food after the pod, if you want to get food after the pod. And then you said, you said, uh, that's just somebody. 00:31:54 Speaker 2: How is pizza looks okay? Maybe tomorrow I'll see how I'm doing on pizza. I'm at lunch. 00:32:00 Speaker 1: Yeah, so we can with the option for lunch. 00:32:02 Speaker 2: Is still that we were talking about last night? Well that's the I mean, how do you talk about last night at six fifteen? 00:32:08 Speaker 1: It's the best first five minutes of a podcast we've ever had. 00:32:10 Speaker 8: Here we go, I'll pull it up right right fucking now. And by the way, again. 00:32:17 Speaker 3: That's that's you. 00:32:17 Speaker 8: Gotta get back to this fifty first guy on the roster, right, I mean, yeah, your wife has a workshop. I don't know what the fuck that means. Whatever, she has a workshop. Great, I don't know what that means. But coaches in town, ohers in town? Hey, babies for this, I get some face time, like just the look the guy is, let. 00:32:31 Speaker 1: Me stop you, Let me stop you real quick. You're not You do not own this bus. We don't have to talk about contract. 00:32:37 Speaker 3: Well, we work with you. 00:32:38 Speaker 8: Who were with who was what your one hundredth guests? 00:32:41 Speaker 3: You were? 00:32:41 Speaker 2: Who's your two hundredth You guess. 00:32:43 Speaker 3: Who's gonna be our three hundredth Guess guess no, no, no, no, no, I guess you thought about the two hundredth guests us. Yeah, he didn't work out. He reached out, Hey, guess what. 00:32:53 Speaker 8: You didn't kill You're coming to Nashville this week. Yeah, just landed TV's that. He asked, my TV situation, disaster, this TV disaster, how long of your talent? 00:33:00 Speaker 2: Should we do dinner with everyone? 00:33:02 Speaker 6: I go? 00:33:02 Speaker 3: I leave tomorrow after. 00:33:03 Speaker 8: Episode, he says, would say next time I'm Florida bound after a Super Bowl, I could do something later around eight if people wanted. I was maybe gonna go to the Vandy game. Totally up to you. This solid restaurants. I mean, it's short notice for Will and Taylor, but if they're in, I'm in. 00:33:18 Speaker 3: Uh common miscommunication, Yeah, just in miscommunication. 00:33:21 Speaker 1: But after we're talking about at the end of the day. 00:33:23 Speaker 8: It's communication right now, if we were saying that last night to go to dinner, yeah, that's that wasn't what was communicated. 00:33:30 Speaker 2: It was Dave's siding the worse. 00:33:32 Speaker 3: You look worse. No, he looks twenty four hours. Listen to what minutes he goes. 00:33:36 Speaker 8: David's wanting to say another night or not said no to last night, which I get because it was like quick, it was. 00:33:42 Speaker 3: Like an hour and after. 00:33:43 Speaker 8: But gause, you can't rearrange your plans in twenty four hours working. 00:33:47 Speaker 3: In Klob's and Kylab. And that's my wife, that's her work. She's doing her work. 00:33:52 Speaker 2: She's a carpenter. 00:33:53 Speaker 3: Worst Yeah, yeah, yeah, that they're holding for the managers. 00:33:57 Speaker 2: Whatever they're doing. 00:33:57 Speaker 3: They're all doing like a little a little team building thing, yeah, little workshop. And you know, I gotta go on dad mode. I know, I know, I get. I get to work and play a lot. So it's like the you know, it's the least I could do. 00:34:07 Speaker 8: Yeah, but the babysitter thing that I have to it's a lot of Yeah, that show's right. That's this is all leading back to why you didn't get the Hey, I'm gonna be fifteen minutes late. You didn't say, hey, I'm gonna be fift Why you didn't get it? I texted it twelve I'm knocking. But why would you not do that? 00:34:26 Speaker 2: That is question of you. 00:34:29 Speaker 3: I give what I received. 00:34:30 Speaker 1: I give what I You could have texted I'm fifteen minutes late. Then you could have came on here and been like I communicated you guys? 00:34:35 Speaker 8: Did it? No? No, no, no, no, no, people know me. I just asked, I give what I received? 00:34:38 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:34:39 Speaker 2: No, fashion boys busting balls? Yeah, fine, good. 00:34:41 Speaker 3: Old fashioned boys. 00:34:43 Speaker 8: The fucking that kicker. Who would he play for? The fucking guy who missed five field goals? 00:34:51 Speaker 2: He was my. 00:34:53 Speaker 9: Guy? 00:34:53 Speaker 2: You knew that? 00:34:54 Speaker 3: No, I didn't. Do you go to school? Are you to school? 00:34:56 Speaker 4: My arm? 00:34:57 Speaker 8: I don't know he did? No? Why are you flying commercial? What's going on? Do you want to talk about your finances? Yeah, it's tough to leave from the front. I'm not gonna be crisscrossing country and private jets on the stocks? 00:35:11 Speaker 2: And why? 00:35:11 Speaker 7: Why? 00:35:12 Speaker 2: Why give it? Why is so low? Right now? 00:35:14 Speaker 3: What's going on? 00:35:14 Speaker 8: Tires? 00:35:15 Speaker 2: Stock markets low? 00:35:16 Speaker 3: Yeah? But isn't day going to come back? Yeah? 00:35:19 Speaker 4: It is. 00:35:19 Speaker 8: We're gonna keep We're gonna bring that back in March. Once the deal I'll have a little more deal once our deal with a little more money, once our deal with Pen officially closes, so then you can go spend. 00:35:29 Speaker 3: When is pen? 00:35:29 Speaker 1: When is Pen officially closed? 00:35:31 Speaker 2: I think it's supposed to be February one? 00:35:32 Speaker 1: And how does that feel to know that you're no longer going to be the boss? 00:35:35 Speaker 8: Nothing will change that, Like I mean, ultimately, I haven't been the boss for since the Turning deal. They bought fifty one percent of it, So that's what that was? What five years ago? But I still have final say content and five years ago? Or was that that was like six years ago? No, No, it might have been three years ago. Now was more We signed with you guys and a week later it came out. It is eight years ago. Wait, turn it on talking about I'm talking about Perry. Okay years ago. Pen will be three years in February. The first time we sold was turn in fifty one percent. That was so it's been like eight years where I haven't If someone really wanted to put their foot down and be like, you're not in control, you want to do this? Fuck you, we're doing this. That's been eight years. But no, one's ever done that, and I'm not a crazy person. So on the business side, if someone really feels strongly, I generally can be convinced like they're doing it for a reason. Like you know, there's the gambling shit. I mean, you're seeing a little into the world's crazy. So I understand there's things I'd like to say. There's things I like to do at times that I cannot do. And I understand I made that deal. I'm not a fucking crazy person. I'm not trying to sub submarine everything. 00:36:39 Speaker 2: Yeah, what do you mean by you made that deal? You're not a crazy person. 00:36:42 Speaker 8: I signed over, Like when I signed the majority, I took the money. Yeah, I understand people bought it. I don't want fuck the people who bought it over. They bought it. And there's things that can say or do that can make the overall goals. Take for example, this gambling. There's people who are trying to get regulated Massachusets. It's you know, they're in one of the people. They just fucking hate me for a variety of reasons. I hate them, like, really hate them for a variety of reasons. Correct, probably I hate them double what they hate me, And they really hate me, but I don't say anything because it would complicate us getting our license in Massachusetts. 00:37:18 Speaker 1: So who leads that conversation then if they hate you that. 00:37:20 Speaker 2: Much, does definitely not Dave. 00:37:23 Speaker 8: No, no, no, it's it's the pen people. 00:37:26 Speaker 2: They do that. 00:37:26 Speaker 8: Yeah, Erica will sometimes get brought in, like because a lot of the reasons that people it tends to be pretty similar and I'm sure you guys have seen it by now. The people don't like us tend to have the same bull lists, Like you know, they're sexist, racist, chauvinistic, whatever. So Erica is a very good ambassador of like everything you think is wrong. They don't care what I say. So yeah, she comes sometimes for people who really hate us, is like, oh shit, like she's the CEO. Like that sometimes helps, not why we hired her, but it does help. 00:37:56 Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm sure it was one of those Hey, that is a is a good deal that she's a woman. 00:38:01 Speaker 2: Totally like and people will say that forever. I've told this story. 00:38:04 Speaker 8: When we sold the first time, we got a recruiting firm to interview CEOs and we had probably seventy interviews, all male, hated all of them. 00:38:13 Speaker 2: One of the first things that happened after they bought it five percent. 00:38:15 Speaker 8: Yeah, I maybe one made it to the second round, like so I would meet them first of like if this person's interesting that at the time they went to Dan Kevin and k Marco. Like the next group, everyone had to be like, yep, we like this person. Maybe one made it to the second round. In the second round, everyone was like, no, we don't. And I didn't really like that person either. Erica I met by accident. She just happened to be at a meeting. Was that we hit it off and everyone loved her. So it was never I mean the heat that was on us was not on us like it is now, So it wasn't like, oh she's a female that'll help. It has helped, but it had nothing to do with the reason. 00:38:50 Speaker 1: Yeah, there is definitely like a a like a thought process about barstool if that has affected us. Even I was doing a puck drop for the outdoor game at sun Stadium. It was a preds verst lightning and I I was wearing a barstool hat and they like, you have take the hat off. 00:39:05 Speaker 8: Yes, I was like, I'll just sharp it. So I sharpied it. I sharped a little logo on the side. 00:39:09 Speaker 1: They're like, can't do that, which is wild because BIZ is doing stuff directly with the NHLs. 00:39:15 Speaker 8: It's all the way across, even with the regulators they'l be. I've seen articles like the talent at Barstool, meaning our people they're like a thousand times worse than everywhere else. People say that and they're like, the other companies don't have it. Well, go look at fandel who's their guy? Mcaviee, who do you work for us? Go look at DraftKings. Who's there guy in Boston Carabas? Who do you work for us? They just don't like us, and they it doesn't matter. It's like everyone's plucking from us because our talent grows and becomes even like Alice Cooper, like no one ever says she was, she came with us. It's it, you know, whether you want to go look at million dollars worth the game there. We just have so many people across so many different things. And why I say us, I mean, frankly, a lot of it's me. People don't like me and they view me as the brand and they can't separate, so uh it. The hockey crowd's crazy They're a unique crowd and very unique in itself because like where our biggest sport in terms of the athletes is hockey, Like the NHL lives where Heze sleeps hockey. We have by far the number one hockey podcast was Spinning Chicklets. Like most sports of other stuff in there, there is nothing else in hockey like they're the voice of hockey business, like the Charles Barkley of hockey. Yeah, and you still get what you just said. 00:40:31 Speaker 1: I wonder, I wonder how that that market's gonna grow because hockey has done such a good job. Even their players are really not allowed to show personality, have to wear a suit, can't wear like Jordan's and stuff like that. There's really no dressing up. It's like clean cut. 00:40:43 Speaker 8: Who is the Who's the black dude that played for the Preds PK Suban He's still guy? 00:40:49 Speaker 1: Yeah, great, great guy. But he was louder and more boisterous and he got out of the press. He's been treated a bunch of the stud. 00:40:55 Speaker 2: He's done. I think I think you're retired. 00:40:57 Speaker 3: Did he retire? 00:40:57 Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I think he did. 00:40:59 Speaker 1: But he was a he was a stud for the Predators for a while I wonder how that's all gonna change, because yeah, that's spitting chick Litz is really good. 00:41:06 Speaker 3: They do. 00:41:06 Speaker 2: They do a phenomenal jobeys Niche compared to the others. 00:41:09 Speaker 1: Yeah, but how do you how do you not look at Speton chicklets and if you're another group of hockey players, go, we're gonna do that too. 00:41:14 Speaker 8: Yeah, well, Biz, just like anything I'll take, well, let's flip it to you guys doing football. 00:41:21 Speaker 3: You'll know this better than I will. 00:41:22 Speaker 8: It's not that easy to find the guys like they have the perfect combination of Biz is amazing, Whitney's amazing and Rear admirals like the perfect kind of sidekick in that thing. So that's not easy. I mean, yeah, I mean is there like I don't I don't know if any in hockey. You guys have the football background. You got all upset when I said that, the active player thing, But like, who else is doing it in football? But I think he's done that a couple of times? Who else is doing well? Stall time he said it? 00:41:56 Speaker 3: I do give him the benefit of that that he was drawing a blank, But. 00:41:59 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like who else got to know? We're now the Kelsey brothers. 00:42:03 Speaker 1: The Kelsey brothers are in it. I think a lot more like it's a lot smaller stuff. I know Cameron Jordan did it with Who's a running back for them? Went to Alabama mark Ingram mark Ingram. They did a podcast for a little bit, but it was like just off season stuff like that. But it's definitely grown. We were like the first ones active maybe a J Hawk. We had that conversation all the time, like a. 00:42:22 Speaker 8: Yeah, well J Hawk, like that's he's that's me. I mean that a J Hawks with mcavi because it did start because of you. I introduced there was like a college football tour thing. Yeah, so we when McAfee worked for us, we were doing our college football show and I don't know whether we maybe we were at Ohio State or something. But aj Aj was one of the first athletes that I was aware of who was taking the media side, not on TV, but like podcasting very seriously. He had something called the Hawk Cast maybe still does. 00:42:56 Speaker 3: And it would start when he was on the Bengals. Yeah, he did a couple of episodes. 00:42:58 Speaker 8: He was taking very serious and so I think he was just looking around the internet being like, who's doing what started following Barstool connected with me. I went on his podcast talk. We thought about hiring him a little bit. He was still doing stuff, but we needed somebody. At one point for a college football show that mcavow was on, and AJ came over and they met and hit it off. But yeah, that's that's how they met. Yeah, all roads leads to barstool across the internet. Yeah, but you see the way you're talking. You can understand why people would be Uh, that's just a fact. 00:43:28 Speaker 1: No, no, but you talk, you talk in definites, like like all this is because of me. 00:43:32 Speaker 2: I did this. I butther than the other. 00:43:34 Speaker 1: The only way A J and Patt are together, Like if I don't know, if I don't know you, that's the fact. 00:43:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just saying, but it's the way you weren't it. 00:43:41 Speaker 3: You do a great job of weirdly taking credit for all this stuff. 00:43:44 Speaker 2: Let me, he's super started. 00:43:47 Speaker 3: I think it's like, I think it's funny because you play into it, like you know, people kind of hate. 00:43:52 Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm serious. You never meet. If it wasn't, they're knocked together. But you can. 00:43:56 Speaker 1: But the way you phrase it, like, so I listen, I'm not coming at you. I'm saying, the viewers who are watching camera, is this. 00:44:06 Speaker 8: The camera all THET mac V and AJ hawk never meet if it weren't for me. 00:44:10 Speaker 1: That's just a fact, right. Yeah, I know it's saying that's not true. But I'm saying, like if you're like, hey, people don't like me. People associate me with Barcelon because they don't. That's why they don't like barstool. 00:44:18 Speaker 2: Why don't like me? 00:44:20 Speaker 1: No, no, No, sport Clips, consider this. Not every hairstylist created equal. Mini stylists don't have as much experience cutting men's hair, but you don't know it until it's too late. As sport clips, all stylists undergo a specialized training specifically and how to cut and style men's hair, making them not just stylists but scissor cutting scholars and fade fanatics. After all, it's not just an average haircut. This is the big leagues. Wait, this is the big league we're talking This is the big league we're talking about. And these hair cutting professionals, and these are haircutting professionals. Wheels are falling off. 00:44:58 Speaker 2: Boys. But if sport clips is unbelievable. 00:45:00 Speaker 1: Don't so don't hand your bushy old noggin over to just anyone with a pair of clippers, sport clips taste cutting men's hair to another level, which is why they truly are the pros and men's hair. Subscribe, unsubscribe to resubscribe, hit the merch store for us by ourself, Oh whistle, pig bottle, And back to the episode. 00:45:19 Speaker 2: Why don't people like it? They don't like me? 00:45:21 Speaker 1: It's the over confidence that will turn people off a little bit. 00:45:24 Speaker 3: And I like it. 00:45:24 Speaker 1: We will, and I know you, but I'm saying people, oh you don't like it. 00:45:27 Speaker 3: No, No, I thought you were gonna put me in box or whatever you're about to say. 00:45:30 Speaker 1: No, I'm saying I can understand, Like I don't be turned off to that kind of confidence. 00:45:36 Speaker 8: If someone doesn't like me because of that, they they actually like me. You need to Let's sleep a little bit more about that. Let's hear a little bit more the Howard's thurn, Like that's like people who that old like the movie when he's like, they're coming in there like we got this weird stat People who love Howard listen for five minutes. People who hate Howard listen for ten. That hate over confidence that the people who truly truly hate me, hate me because they think like I'm man. That's not someone who thinks I'm evil. That's the one that he's an arrogant cock like I can deal with that. And they're probably paying attention to the barstool world, right, And we have people in the barsol world who part of it, which we've always wanted. It's real, but it's like wwe it's like that I like that guy. I don't like this guy. But you're paying attention to the world. You need black ats, you need good guys, you need all of it. I like that there's people who truly like whether it's the business inside article or it's interviewing Trump. 00:46:32 Speaker 2: There's a whole side of hate. 00:46:34 Speaker 8: I yet that is not rooted in like we pay attention or giggle or find anything entertaining. 00:46:39 Speaker 2: It's like he's or they are the problem. 00:46:42 Speaker 8: In like the world. I got a very real different type of hate. That's that's the ones that are tough to do. I don't care someone's like, oh he's cocky, arrogant. Yeah, it's a little shikish a little and the j Hawk mcfee's not they literally met because that that I'm being serious. Maybe they would have meant, but they're like together synergy to chemistry that we introduced. 00:47:05 Speaker 2: That probably doesn't happen. 00:47:07 Speaker 8: But I'm not like mcvie's so successful and so talented, he's going to be successful no matter what. AJ's perfect, But you need synergis, you need things to me right. 00:47:17 Speaker 1: But when you started Barstool, you're just dishing out newspapers, having fake sponsors, a couple of real sponsors, fake sponsors, and you grew it into this empire. Now, as you grew into the empire, and you see like that evil hate vibe that are coming fromople to actually hate you at any point where you like that had to affect you. 00:47:35 Speaker 8: At one point, thing that really got to me was the Business Desire, which was a sexual allegation ship because it was brutal, Like if you read it, and again, people do it all the time. I try to compartmentalize with other people. If you read it and really didn't do research, if I read it and didn't know myself and what I've done and what I have, I'd be like, this guy is fucking a problem, Like this guy's hitler. 00:47:55 Speaker 2: So you know that that really bothered me. 00:47:58 Speaker 8: Just because it's like my parents read it at the time, my girlfriend her, I hadn't met them yet, Like they read that before they met me. 00:48:04 Speaker 2: It's like, the fuck's this guy? So that shit? Really? Uh? 00:48:08 Speaker 8: That was the only time I've been like down, like, man, this is, you know, to be totally us a little bit like frightening because it was patently false, not like point zero zero zero zero one could be true. 00:48:21 Speaker 2: It was. It was just not true. 00:48:22 Speaker 8: It was in fact fiction and it's like I knew that, and yet it was out there and it was being spread and like I aswers you that, like Mina Kaines that ESPN, like she retweeted that article. I'll hate her forever for it. It's like, how can you fucking retweet that with no knowledge? And then when I did my defense, which I think any objectively minded person who looked at me like he's telling the truth, he has receipt after a receipt after receipt after receipt backing him up, and it came quickly. It wasn't like the second it came out, I was like ten minutes laters, like he's put together this defense. She ignores that, Like to me, how do you do that like that ESPL people that wrote the ESPN, and it's like the person wrote it, I think agenda and all. And I tried to sue, I mean, would you be. 00:49:07 Speaker 2: Able to forgive somebody like that if she did? 00:49:10 Speaker 3: Yeah? Maybe it's yeah maybe because I'm with you. It's like when that was happening, whether people would hit me up or not. It's almost the first reaction is Okay, well have you seen everything Dave's put out there? Because there's a lot of people who can see all the message because this sis I mean a massive audience. He can go out there and people think you're an arrogant cuck whatever it is. And they don't even look at barsool because they're just like, I'm not a stoolie. They just see the article and see nothing else. It's like, well, this validates everything in the in I get. 00:49:39 Speaker 8: I won't change the opinion for the most part of people who hate me, they're always gonna hate me. I don't care. But there's something that really elevated of what I'm usually accused of, which is a joke that one sideways or something like that, you know, singing singing a lyric to a song that I shouldn't have five years ago. I can live with that. Miss I make mistakes or and do it again. But that like girl running away from Dave like that, that was tough to see. 00:50:06 Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, suit I try. 00:50:08 Speaker 3: Suit. 00:50:08 Speaker 8: I spent my own money. I didn't get anywhere. It's so fucking crazy and USU of the Internet, it's out there forever. 00:50:12 Speaker 1: Like I had I my freshman year, this girl got tangled up with one of my best friends who was a football player. She says that I threatened her, and to this day this is I was eighteen at the time. I'm thirty one now, so do the math on that. 00:50:26 Speaker 8: People still bring up on Twitter every single day and it's like I can't literally say anything, but it's not true, right And now, like I have two girls, I got to tell them when they're older, Hey, you're gonna have to see things about dad that I have to literally explain to them at a younger age because it's going to be accessible to them. 00:50:41 Speaker 2: It's like, fuck, dude, Yeah, there's the craziest thing. 00:50:43 Speaker 1: The girl guy stuff like that is like all your stuff, like the lyrics all that. It's like you can fuck up say something and be like, hey, I messed up, right and then and then move on. But the girl, that is one of those things where it's like people draw the line so fast there and. 00:50:56 Speaker 8: Even me, and it's crazy because that what you just So they wrote the article and we had the lawyer and I do the entire like. 00:51:05 Speaker 2: My defense and like, are they going to issue a retraction? 00:51:07 Speaker 8: Well they have to take it down because I thought it's like I proved it, but and the law is so fucked up, like it's actually news now like they wrote it, but now it's news so they can justify, well, this is news. It's a public figures news. So yeah, that was fucked up. I mean I'm over now sort of like you know, I'd love for them to have a real failure and whatever they want. I want them to be very unsuccessful and miserable. But yeah, yeah, that's the only thing that really that side of it. And even like the New York Times shit that just came out not too long ago. It was more on the gambling side. But that reporter who was writing an article, I knew about it for a year. 00:51:47 Speaker 2: What was that article about? 00:51:48 Speaker 3: It was? 00:51:48 Speaker 8: It was more about me being a degenera gambler and it's like you shouldn't be associated with gambling. But the woman she was actually responsible who wrote it, she has a pulitzer for getting Bill O'Reilly out of Fox News. She did a whole thing on them and really brought down him in part of Fox. For a year, I was getting calls like just on my social media, any girl that I followed, followed me, mentioned me anything, Reddit, but you name it. She had called them. I don't even know how she got the phone number, being like, you have stories of day of you of this. So for a year, I'm waying for The New York Times to basically drop a very similar hip piece. No, they didn't get anything, and she switched it to Dave's degenerate. 00:52:27 Speaker 2: As dad said, he's degenerate. 00:52:29 Speaker 8: But it sucks to know at any time somebody can just drop something on your head that's not true. 00:52:33 Speaker 1: Yeah, So like degenerate is such a gray area line though, Like how do you qualify as a degenerate gambler? 00:52:38 Speaker 8: These people said, Dan does the can't lose parlay, that's what he called. 00:52:42 Speaker 3: It was not too long ago. 00:52:44 Speaker 8: This is the same thing. They're like that you can't do that. You're telling people that can't lose. It's like, are you serious? 00:52:49 Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, isn't it the same thing though, when you see like a FanDuel commercial and they're like bet one hundred dollars, get two hundred dollars. 00:52:55 Speaker 8: It's not you can't lose. We get treated differently. That's the nuts and bolts of it. For whatever reason we uh, you know, we just do. 00:53:03 Speaker 1: That's just comes with for PEN, for PEN to be truly successful and really compete with these like the rapid growing gambling world. How do you get rid of that stigma so that like Barcel can be the head of that and be treated fairly with everybody else. 00:53:18 Speaker 2: MGM, Yeah, well all that, I don't know if that matter. 00:53:21 Speaker 8: I mean, as long as we get the licenses, Like we got shut out of New York, which is the reason they gave was our technology wasn't up to par. But we use the same technology as our competitors, so I mean somebody somewhere did something. But other than that, we get in the States where it's interesting because we're not playing the. 00:53:41 Speaker 3: Same game right now. A lot of if you're like MGM. 00:53:44 Speaker 8: FanDuel DraftKings, they spend so much money and they lose so much money, like DraftKings could be out of business in six months, and I don't think tons of people would be said. 00:53:52 Speaker 2: What do you mean when you say lose so much money? 00:53:54 Speaker 3: Because they're spending so much on talent to promote their stuff, and then there's not really saying that. 00:53:58 Speaker 2: They're not customers. 00:54:00 Speaker 8: They get customers, but they're they're well, they're public, so they're they put their earnings and they're losing hundreds of millions of dollars every quarter. 00:54:06 Speaker 2: Pen is not in that game. 00:54:08 Speaker 8: Penn's difference DraftKings, FanDuel a little similar more to MGM, but they have physical casinos. They make money as a company, so they're not interested in, you know, spending hundreds of millions of dollars on advertising try. 00:54:22 Speaker 2: And acquire market share. 00:54:23 Speaker 3: Correct, because they acquired you guys, which you guys, correct, are a market share. Yeah, and even you know, they kind of did it for the brand Barstool without doing it on a singular person. 00:54:34 Speaker 8: And the problem in the gambling industry if you look at it, I think what people are worried about. So FanDuel, DraftKings, like McAfee is not using him as his example, is not owned by FanDuel he has a contract, that contract comes up, they're gonna have to fucking write another gigantic check to keep him or whoever the company is, and they're going to have to continue to spend advertising n NFL And the question people have investors or you know, money guys, if they stop advertising, what happened to those customers? To somebody who like barsool? But there's not all these promos and these things, and now no one's advertising, they just jump right back to us or go somewhere else. 00:55:12 Speaker 2: So is it like fools gold? 00:55:14 Speaker 8: Basically, like, once you stop spending all this money, how do you keep your customers? Because they're just what are they gonna be loyal to a brand? We're probably the only brand they're loyal to. So yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens in the space. 00:55:26 Speaker 2: Now. 00:55:27 Speaker 1: You see you lost your license in New York? Is that you've never got one? You never got one? 00:55:31 Speaker 2: Yeah? 00:55:32 Speaker 1: Is that a reason for the move to Chicago? 00:55:34 Speaker 2: No, that's just Dan wants to go there. 00:55:37 Speaker 8: I don't think anybody in New York outside Kevin who's there like loves it, like I'm a boy, A lot of people it's probably similar to people love where they're from, Like I love Boston. I'd love to go back there, but no, Dan just wants to go back home now. 00:55:50 Speaker 1: So why did you move to New York in the first place? 00:55:52 Speaker 8: Just is when churn and bought us, No churn and bought yeah sor churn and bought us. And there's really four people at the time, let me Dan and Kevin K Marco and the concept was the first twenty four to seven blog reality show, Smitty Too, and Philly he wasn't in the discussions because he's lazy. So it's like, let's all come under one house. And well, you guys have been. You probably know because you're out here. When there's a lot of people around, it's easier to create content. You sometimes just fall into content. You don't even know what's going to go on. So it's we need We knew we had to go under one city. And to be honest, Kevin at the time was only with a kid, so it was the hardest for him to pick up and move. I was willing to go to New York. Dan was willing to go New York. So we said New York and it's a good place for media, Like I don't know Erica, probably we wouldn't have had her. It's harder to draw talent in Boston or even in Chicago. There is New York for media, so yeah, because people do their pr runs, So yeah, exactly. So that was the vision, like make it every like celab athlete whatever, who comes through New York. 00:56:51 Speaker 2: They want to stop and barstool, do podcasts stuff like that. 00:56:53 Speaker 3: Do you ever think, like, think back on the time when you sold fifty one percent of churn In, like you could have went about it another way to keep that ownership, Like, okay, maybe I can go my own on hier Ceo. 00:57:03 Speaker 8: No, because we are at a time when, uh, something had to change. I think Dan Kevin were a little bit I fed up with me. I guess at the time I fed up the right word. It's a band that had been together a long time, and I think they were looked because we were just kind of cruising and I was starting to make pretty good money. They were making okay money, not like they are now, but it's like, what's the next step for us? Like, you know, I started it. I predated those guys by ten years, maybe eight years. Like I was doing the newspaper so I had been at it a lot longer than so when they started, there was a very clear hierarchy, like I was by far the biggest, and they were coming along and by the time that had been sold, they were both you know, big names in their own writing case. 00:57:49 Speaker 2: You know obviously you see them now. 00:57:50 Speaker 8: So it's like, all right, we gotta we don't want to be making you know, a couple hundred grand I don't even remember what it was at the time. What's the next level? And it made sense, Okay, we can could jump and you know, all make out. 00:58:02 Speaker 3: Like fortunately there's another boss coming in versus Dave swinging the story. 00:58:05 Speaker 2: We're all in the same. 00:58:05 Speaker 8: Yeah, It's just it was a clear path for them to get where they where we've gotten, which they're all very soon going to be like multi multi, multi millionaires. Because so I owned one hundred percent of the company and when we did that first deal, I just sliced it off. It was part of it's like, all right, here's percentages for you guys, so you all own now parts of barstools. So if we get to this next sale, because Turnaming came in and it was very clear our goal is to sell it like we want to build it and then sell it. So they got the percentage, Like all right, we're all now trying to get to the next step, which was the Pen, which is the big transaction that made them all like every you know, everything worth it. It's like everything we did was worth it. 00:58:48 Speaker 2: How does everything change with Pen coming in? Nothing? It won't change. 00:58:52 Speaker 8: So the the Pen deal was similar turning. They're like you they did deep dive. They're like, we're comfortable with you, guys. We trust you guys. The CEO is awesome. If he has any issues, he calls me and he in We never really totally disagree, like he always every conversation is like, hey, can you do this or whatever? He prefaces like you do what you want, but like it would help. 00:59:13 Speaker 2: If we did this. 00:59:14 Speaker 8: I've never had an issue with anything he said, and I would you know, you can't guarantee it. I don't think I would ever sell to somebody that I didn't feel like totally get us. 00:59:22 Speaker 2: Like you guys met Jay as soon. Obviously you don't. 00:59:25 Speaker 3: Think we have Menjay mate. Was he at the upfronts? 00:59:29 Speaker 2: I don't know I was. Was he in Arizona, Arizona, Arizona? The Arizona. 00:59:34 Speaker 8: No, he was no, like just like normal, like blue collar background, worked in Vegas, went to Harvard, played football at Harvard. 00:59:44 Speaker 2: He's just like a good guy like you. 00:59:46 Speaker 8: You again, you can't always anticipate agree with everybody. But as long as you think someone's like rational and all listen, it's good. 00:59:55 Speaker 2: So not much just change. 00:59:56 Speaker 8: And this second transaction was done like a lot of people have gone a little confus, I don't say confused. 01:00:01 Speaker 3: When turn And sold to pen it. 01:00:05 Speaker 8: Was always this sequence of events, we're gonna buy this percentage, and then three years later the rest I don't think they want to buy it all right away because the government regulated. They didn't want to like scare people right away, so they wanted to ease into it. But this was always all the way to the price, like everything was built in three years ago. 01:00:23 Speaker 2: So nothing is really changing with this. 01:00:26 Speaker 1: No, you, when you did the sale from three years ago, did you escalators, like hey have barstool starts reaching these numbers? 01:00:31 Speaker 8: Yeah, but they were all within restrictions, so you couldn't go above a certain number. At the highest number you can go, but it was always you can't go above this, and you can't go below this, so it was pretty wedged in. 01:00:42 Speaker 3: But there's there's gonna be no change as far as like the hierarchy stuff goes like within the offices, you know what I mean, like Penn takes over all. 01:00:48 Speaker 8: The possible No, because it really, like I said, for lack of better words, it was already that hierarchy was like already there. So if Penn came down like we really want you to do this, theoretically, Churnin wuld have been like, we still own the majority of the company, so no, but they knew they were selling it to Pen, so it really hasn't changed. Like Pen doesn't tell us what to do on the content. It's more I think back end starting now to move forward like migrate systems, over accounting, things like that, but not the contents pretty. 01:01:23 Speaker 2: Pretty separate, like they know why they bought it. 01:01:25 Speaker 8: I mean there's stuff like you guys, for example, where I can't just be like yes, like I know that's like a big ticket item for us. I gotta make sure everybody knows that could we have maybe like slid that in even if they're like no, no, no, yeah, yes we could. If I wouldn't because like, what do you want to start relationship. 01:01:43 Speaker 1: Why are you saying like yes, like you you have to like why are we a conversation because you don't known us? 01:01:51 Speaker 2: No, I didn't mean it like that. 01:01:52 Speaker 3: Still like like negotiating, like they're trying to they're trying to spend they got to spend money and they're trying to they got to still clear it through pig. 01:02:00 Speaker 8: You guys are paid by us, where I'm not saying you don't, but like you guys are are well paid. 01:02:04 Speaker 2: You're you enjoy establishing that. 01:02:07 Speaker 10: No, I just I just found that bit in the beginning, right, So it's like, by the way, it's not that really, you guys. 01:02:15 Speaker 8: Aren't that different from we've morphed a lot because like we don't own million dollars worth of the game like that. You know, they came to us, we re upt with them. 01:02:27 Speaker 2: They're balling. Yeah, they're massive, unbelievable, unbelievable. 01:02:31 Speaker 8: You know what I was thinking that what they do, which I don't know that you guys do, which is a huge advantage for them, is this like they'll they'll drop everything and go anywhere. 01:02:41 Speaker 3: We're starting to we're starting to look at the big plan for twenties. 01:02:43 Speaker 2: Yea because that makes it a lot easier obviously to get. 01:02:47 Speaker 8: The big Yeah, if you're willing to come to us, then they'll do it. 01:02:50 Speaker 2: Yeah, there are. 01:02:51 Speaker 3: There's like there's guys that's like, are you bringing the bus? It's like, I mean, we're Could. 01:02:55 Speaker 1: We interrupt this episode to bring you another ad for a whistle pickway, specifically the Busting with the Boys single barrel whistle pig Whiskey. You know Jeff Whittick is he's like kind of a YouTuber big, he's big. 01:03:51 Speaker 2: He's one of the Cali guys. He does a barber shop. 01:03:54 Speaker 8: He does his thing is he'll interview he has his own hair products. Yeah, but he'll do like his interview of his Yes, he's had everybody. They have millions of views on a barber shop. He has what I would say, cut this like here, puts it on trailer, someone drives it around right here. 01:04:13 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, see there it is. 01:04:15 Speaker 3: He actually gives the haircut. 01:04:16 Speaker 1: Now is this the guy that walks up to people in the middle of the street and go, hey, man, ca I get you cut? 01:04:20 Speaker 3: That's that that guy. 01:04:20 Speaker 8: No, he has a full If you play this like play that, you'll see he pulled this up to my house, so you could theoretically build a mini and have one of your minions just driving around like you can do. 01:04:32 Speaker 2: It's what he had. 01:04:34 Speaker 8: Like if I was younger in the games, like, oh I would I would do that for myself. I was interviewing it it then you can pull it up anywhere too, and you can pull people on. 01:04:43 Speaker 3: But as far as like being able to jump in, jump out and not have to worry about a lot of logistics, it's almost like the whole pick up and go like many nights worth the game and then do Yeah, It's almost like that's easier versus like, hey, let's make sure all this stuff's can well. 01:04:54 Speaker 8: Yeah, if you have someone that can drive, you can almost get like, see that's his mobile. 01:04:58 Speaker 2: He's driving in it right now. 01:05:01 Speaker 8: It's like his mobile set and it literally looks like a true. 01:05:07 Speaker 3: It be it could be a deal. They've you're putting us on game. 01:05:10 Speaker 6: Yeah, it is. 01:05:12 Speaker 8: Stools, but he goes in when he cuts the hair. That's a good show a thigh. Yeah, video right there, that's his that's his mobile set. 01:05:22 Speaker 2: Well airstream. 01:05:24 Speaker 1: We got the air stream right there and we could definitely do something like that. That'd be cool. I think like for this year our plan is say go to people, call bigger a list names and be like we can come to you right now or. 01:05:35 Speaker 8: The biggest problem if you're trying to get guess is yeah. 01:05:38 Speaker 1: That yeah, Because Nashville is a great little hub for people coming in, but it's not as big as like a New York cargo la like that. 01:05:47 Speaker 3: How how was the negotiation of getting million dollars worth the game back? 01:05:51 Speaker 7: Uh? 01:05:51 Speaker 8: It went well and that that probably speaks to both sides, like they really want to stay. And I don't think they were like, we're not gonna hold your hostage for the top because they were getting big offers from a lot of people, but they're like, you guys have been great to us. We want to stay for us. They're so unique. Clearly we like, look around, we're a bunch of white guys as we have the number one urban podcast, so it's huge to keep. And uh, but it was saying we had to go Jay, and I said, I'm like, and I'm pretty honest, like call her daddy that number. 01:06:21 Speaker 2: I'm like, like, if you want to do it, I do it. 01:06:25 Speaker 8: I think we already have our audience who knows who we are, and we'll never make money on it. It's she'd have to be perfect. So it's like, you know, Spotify is paying a ton. 01:06:34 Speaker 3: I don't think. 01:06:35 Speaker 8: I don't know if we'll make money on million dollars worth a game, but I think they're so good for barstools. That's like I would if it was my that's not look at everything like if it's my money, I would keep them. So and he saw it the same way. I mean, they've done so many things under like Dion's not with us without them, so they you know, open doors. And again I always tell like the uh one my favorite clout stories as in Miami and this this club was you couldn't get it in and I know a lot of the owners, so I could get in the door, but you go on the doors, shoulders shoulder, couldn't fucking move. And I'm not a big stand guy. So I tried to walk into like a corners with my girlfriend. A bunch of like big black guys like, Nope, can't come in, can't come in. Meek Mills saw me from behind, goes that guy, he can come in. They pushed aside, got his nose because Meek is really good friends with million dollars worth the game. 01:07:24 Speaker 2: It's like you're the You're the million dollars worth of game. 01:07:27 Speaker 3: Everyone's like, what the fuck? 01:07:29 Speaker 2: Was hilarious? 01:07:31 Speaker 3: Right, hands off everybody to me. 01:07:35 Speaker 8: Anybody didn't know any of the names evolved They're like, that guy has no chance of getting to that corner. 01:07:40 Speaker 2: And then it's like the seazed part. It was top moment. 01:07:42 Speaker 1: What a feeling that had to be standing in the club is not now it's the worst. Clubs are not fun. That fun to me in general. I hate him go in there. It's a mosh pitive sweat and then horny guys everywhere. 01:07:56 Speaker 2: Everywhere. I'm old. Now, so you're old. You have a girlfriend, Yeah, yeah, yeah, but. 01:08:00 Speaker 8: No, you can be horny sitting here, you know, you don't have to be like a fucking club. 01:08:03 Speaker 1: Three horny boys sitting on the mic right now, the three of us. 01:08:06 Speaker 8: Yeah, but that's Miami. Miami's guess our boy guess. I mean he's he runs Miami. That is not true. He goes, he goes out in Miami. Talk about gas a little bit. 01:08:19 Speaker 2: What about him? Hell's he been? 01:08:21 Speaker 3: I don't a lot because the boy catches a lot of heat out there on the internet. 01:08:24 Speaker 2: He does heat for. 01:08:26 Speaker 3: Just being a guy who doesn't do nothing but go to clubs in Miami. 01:08:29 Speaker 8: Well, which is probably like pretty true, like ninety percent true. So he's an og I mean he he I've said he put in the time he's been with me. He's really the first employee, so he's been with me forever. And you know he's in like semi retirement in Miami, but he's still he knows the company inside out, he knows the bodies are buried. 01:08:50 Speaker 2: He's just you know, I trust him with anything. 01:08:52 Speaker 8: But you know, the day that Business Inside our article came out, my lowest point, he was in a club in Miami. I mean it's like he fuck, he's just getting he's. 01:09:03 Speaker 1: Trying to get some pub for gas man. He should have been there. Who was the first people to call you for the Business Insider? But the first people like who were like the rider dies, They are. 01:09:12 Speaker 8: Like, hey, we got your back, cause everybody, for the most part, everybody at that point Barstool sort of had my back. Like I wrote an email just being like, hey, it's coming out. It's not true. If you have any questions, let me know. But most of our guys, I always think it's one of the compliments to Barstool, Like the original guys are still fucking there, so they know me pretty well. 01:09:33 Speaker 2: And I guess what, you. 01:09:35 Speaker 8: Know, the shit that goes on in bedroom, maybe you'd be shocked by somebody, but I think they know it. Don't lie, you know, And and it also helps maybe if there was the second I have his hesitation, then it's like, well everything he's been saying just dropped all the facts to back it up. But most of the people knew it was coming, Like there was nobody really, like even my parents, Like I let them know it's coming, you know, I let everybody know. I could tell it was taking a pretty dark turned by what because girls were calling me leaking, like they're taping their conversations with the reporter, so I could hear like the line of questioning and what they were saying. So I had a pretty good idea what was coming. And that's pretty good awareness. Yeah, I mean you know that stuff's going down. Yeah, I feel like I'm not I'm not aware like that were. 01:10:18 Speaker 1: Calling me and be like, so, how do you feel about just asking me questions? 01:10:20 Speaker 8: You probably would in the sense it was so exhaustive the research on me, Like if someone just went and I don't know what, like for a long time, I mean, I was a single guy, so I was on social media. I don't know, I had a lot of people, girls that I was following or they were following me and they were all contacted. Yeah, So if you're just getting weird calls out of the blue, I was getting girls I never spoke to, never met, being like what is this about? 01:10:44 Speaker 2: Is very exhaustive. 01:10:46 Speaker 8: And you know, if you have a thousand people and just thirty of them are like, hey have you heard about this? You start yeah, like weird shit's going down? 01:10:55 Speaker 3: When talking about all the talent, the ogs that have been there, What what's it look like in the future, because I would assume now that Penn is acquired, I mean, you have a deal that's up in like twenty twenty five, similar than when we're up. What's it look like for you beyond your deal? 01:11:09 Speaker 8: So I think I'll always be attached to it, you know, like I don't remember what we were arguing about. My favorite parts of it aren't like what you and I did, like negotiating contracts and shit like that. I really don't want to do that, Like I after probably two years, like I'll still be there, but I don't that shit like you won't be. 01:11:31 Speaker 2: Able to help make decisions the way you were this past year. 01:11:33 Speaker 8: I don't think he will make the decisions if people ask me. But I'm not gonna be on the phone like negotiating and things like that. I'd give my opinion and be like, yeah, I think we should really keep Will and Taylor like I do it, but I'm not going to be arguing. I don't know what time it was and shit like that. Like I'm pretty happy in my world. Like, honestly, I'd like to do more. I love it's weird, it's nothing to do well. It kind of does like the when we did the bar Still Fund and even like the pizza place Manny's I went before, like the whole family was working. It's like the dad, the wife, the daughter, the like. I love businesses like that. I would love to do like a more like a more detailed, like a half an hour show, diving deep into like basically businesses that have been like generational that I like doing that. It helps the people people like watching it. So maybe some of that maybe more like more of that is what I've thought. 01:12:27 Speaker 1: It's crazy how much the pizza things taken off, like knowing the story of like you and Dan got an argumenty burritos or pizza longer and then you've taken this thing and turn into it's a monster. 01:12:37 Speaker 2: People like pizza. 01:12:38 Speaker 1: Like twenty twenty when all that, like Covid shit was going down, like you just you were putting things out like I felt like it was like twice a day. 01:12:45 Speaker 2: The frew. 01:12:46 Speaker 8: Yeah, Covid was big for me personally and big for the brand because we're Internet people, but we call her Daddy. Happened during that, so that was a big part. The unboxing, which was unintentional, was fucking huge. That shit was frozen pizza. So it's just it was a lot of shit was happening, and the stalks like all of it. So I was waking up doing stocks, going to bed, doing the unboxing, doing the frozen pizza in the middle. 01:13:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. It was and people were trapped. 01:13:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, and then all I had to do was consume exactly what barscool is. 01:13:16 Speaker 3: Yeah, do you see yourself always being in the content game? Like do you ever get exhausted, Like I mean, you do a lot of chef wind? Does it slow down for your wind? 01:13:25 Speaker 2: Does it? Well? I got the two more years and then I don't know. 01:13:28 Speaker 8: People always get confused question you get not just for me, but for like a lot of people start businesses. They just assume like you'll have that itch like you'll want to keep doing it. 01:13:37 Speaker 2: I do not think that's me. 01:13:38 Speaker 8: Like I could go on a beach or go on vacation and totally unplug and be done like that is something that Barcel people say, I'm full of shit like that, I have an ego that I need to like be out there. 01:13:49 Speaker 2: I disagree. 01:13:49 Speaker 3: Time will tell. 01:13:52 Speaker 8: If in mind, I didn't have my name out there. In the beginning of Barsel, I had five aliases. It was like a business. It was never supposed to be is a personality, but you just throw so much fucking shit against the wall. And what was sticking was anytime it became more personal, like me talking about like my life or whatever it is, and the same truth for the other guys. That's what differentiated us. It was like people are interested in Austin, you guys see it. They're interested in like your your life. 01:14:21 Speaker 3: You know that, And that's how are you going to play into a little like have fun with them, knowing you're gonna piss people off, but everyone kind of knows, right what's about to happen, Yeah, right, the inside joke of it. 01:14:32 Speaker 8: Yeah, and even like you know, I posted a picture, so I built a big fucking house in Miami. It's not done, but it's like they hung the TV like an asshole. It's like, it's crazy how they did it. I mean, it's literally crazy. So I posted that. It's like one of my bigger tweets in a while, but it's it is an asshole tweet. But it's like a joke, but it's an asshole tweet. Yeah, Now to your point, if people can't see that, I'm kind of joking. I'm not joking that TV has to be right all right, right, but I'm sweet up. 01:15:02 Speaker 3: Yeah, do you uh? Do you feel like in the beginning you were more you were more into building the whole business thing than you were the content game, and it kind of just. 01:15:09 Speaker 8: They went hand in hand because the bigger my brand got it helped everybody and vice versa, you know. 01:15:16 Speaker 2: I mean that's crazy centered. 01:15:18 Speaker 8: Yeah, and the flowers, the whole thing. 01:15:22 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's insanity. 01:15:25 Speaker 1: How much how much so many square feet is that house? 01:15:27 Speaker 8: It's it's I'm not a square foot guy, but it's fucking huge. 01:15:30 Speaker 2: It's huge. 01:15:31 Speaker 1: Yeah, it's open, We're talking about open concept. Yeah, you can see from one side to the other. 01:15:34 Speaker 8: Yep, pretty much and if you just go through that wall, there's a little thing I call the ocean, which is nice. That's gotta be a nice this little thing I call the ocean. 01:15:50 Speaker 1: Do you uh when is that gonna be done? 01:15:53 Speaker 2: So it should be done around April Mars depending. 01:15:55 Speaker 8: I don't know this wall thing, but uh yeah, it's been in the works for a long ass been almost two they've been working. 01:16:01 Speaker 1: Building houses suck the worst it is, and then you have a budget and then that budget gets blown out of. 01:16:05 Speaker 2: The water and you're you're basically held hostage. Yeah what do you do? Right? 01:16:09 Speaker 3: Yeah? 01:16:09 Speaker 8: All right, fuck you're out. It's like, well, now I'm now I just got an empty house. 01:16:12 Speaker 1: And the thing that fucks me up to is I'll be like, hey, people who are doing the house, show me things that are in the budget. I've told you to show me, And then they come they show me three things, like hey, you want to do what color do you want the xterar of your house to be? Like, oh, this one, this one, but then there's this one and obviously I like that one the most, that's the nicest one, and like, oh, that's a thousand dollars more budget to keep me in budget. Why do I got to see this The minute I see this, obviously I got to have this one. Yeah, yeah, I mean it's crazy. You're even the TVs. At first they're like, no, that's the design. I'm like, what do you mean that's the design? 01:16:44 Speaker 8: Luckily I had the drawings, the renderings, and they're clearly centered. I'm like, yeah, it's like nobody in the history of Earth has said, let's connect the TV to the corner of the wall. 01:16:55 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a that's a tough look. 01:16:57 Speaker 1: So are they fixing that? 01:16:58 Speaker 2: Yeah? 01:16:58 Speaker 1: Are they charging you to fix it? 01:17:00 Speaker 8: So I said, we have an architect and uh like builder and they're arguing now on whose fault it was. But I'm like, this is not Luckily I have the designs. Now the problem clearly. It's like, all right, well, we won't charge you for that, but they may just build it in. You're fuck no matter what you do building a house like, you're absolutely fucked. 01:17:19 Speaker 2: Little thing I like to call the ocean. It's hilarious. 01:17:22 Speaker 3: How do you think, uh barstool changes with the move to Chicago. 01:17:27 Speaker 8: I mean, obviously there'll be different offices. I don't know the exact people going Dan's Chicago. Dan's a workhorse. I'm sure Chicago will be great, and Kevin will be in New York. There's still a ton of business people. But I don't I don't think it'll change all that much. Probably me leaving almost is more of a change than like Dan brands Chicago guys, because I'm like the uh, I'm the jerk, like and I mean that in a way that is like I stir the pot when I'm there, Like, so you're in the mix a lot, and it's generally like creating like controversy, like not you know, being the boss. That's like what you do that Once you do that, bringing someone in, that doesn't happen as much if I'm not there anyway, So I think the content will be pretty similar with Dan taking his crew, because there's not as much of the like the Frank the tank shit that he did the other day, that would have been a much bigger story. 01:18:22 Speaker 2: Probably I was there. 01:18:24 Speaker 8: He went to the Dolphins game and left and like what had the potential to be an unbelievable ending it didn't, But like that that if I'm there, I would have harped on that for like a week kind of dies down. 01:18:35 Speaker 2: So I don't think he'll change much. 01:18:38 Speaker 3: Don't you feel like you being in the mixed People might be worried you being out of the mix too much because you do help generate a lot of that content. Yeah, but I love those like inside WW storylines, within the within the building. 01:18:48 Speaker 2: And I may bring people to Miami. 01:18:50 Speaker 8: But the bottom line is it, I don't love New York and it's just too much fucking money to not be in Florida. 01:18:58 Speaker 2: It like the house that I'm building. I did the math. 01:19:02 Speaker 8: Basically, I'm like, all right, I'd signed a five year deal, and like, at the end of five years, I can either be in New York and have the same amount of money or in Florida and have the same amount of money. But this house, like the house, that's the difference. It's like it's basically a free house. Well, no, it's taxes. It's Miami, Dave, Miami made it. Oh yeah, you made it. 01:19:23 Speaker 2: You made it. 01:19:23 Speaker 8: You know, I'm like the one percent of the one percent. Yeah, a lot of hard work. 01:19:27 Speaker 1: When we first met you, you literally laughed out loud without even really knowing this yet. They go, this is my new favorite game. Me having more money than football players. 01:19:35 Speaker 2: How much do you make? Answer? I make more than deal. 01:19:38 Speaker 11: Yeah. 01:19:38 Speaker 8: Football, football, yes, Basketball, No, those guys get paid like fucking cridiculous. 01:19:43 Speaker 1: What about football quarterbacks? 01:19:47 Speaker 2: How much do they make? 01:19:48 Speaker 3: I mean you're you're looking at forty yes? 01:19:51 Speaker 2: No, no, I don't. I don't have them beat. 01:19:52 Speaker 8: Yeah, if you're a great quarterback, I assume is playing long ass time at forty Yeah. 01:19:58 Speaker 2: No, that's a lot of money. Yeah, what do you but how much? 01:20:01 Speaker 1: Like what's a when you started this and you realize there's going to be success? Like did you have a number? Like I want this much money? 01:20:06 Speaker 9: Oh? 01:20:07 Speaker 2: And I really didn't. 01:20:08 Speaker 8: I people think I'm bullshitting, but I would have been happy making one hundred grand, waking up sixty grand whatever, if I enjoyed what I was doing. It was not nobody, nobody in their right mind really could have thought Barcel would do what it did. That's not why I started it. Maybe it was successful, to be honest, it wasn't. You see a lot of people who have these wild plans or business plans in this and they get funding. That's not ours. Was so organic and it was never like to get to where it is now. 01:20:38 Speaker 1: It and the crazy ability to pivot like going from news newspapers to the Internet and then doing the internet the way you have. 01:20:46 Speaker 3: And having just great people. 01:20:47 Speaker 8: Because as much as I do you say, like taking credit for everything like podcasts, I remember being like. 01:20:52 Speaker 2: Yeah, I said it could be it could be seen. 01:20:54 Speaker 8: I said that I thought podcast was stupid, like Kevin Stardom, like do it. I don't give fuck Like Dan PMT that was all him, Like I didn't even know who PFT was, like I met him. 01:21:06 Speaker 2: So we just have like million dollars worth of game. 01:21:09 Speaker 8: They came in through Rome, like you know, so it you guys came through Gas. 01:21:15 Speaker 2: I think Gas. Yeah, yeah, So. 01:21:17 Speaker 8: We just have really good like Gas found Breonna Chicken Fry. I fucking a girl I used to know, you know, was fucking Alex Cooper's boyfriend. That's how I knew who she was. So it's just we have the right people in like the right spots to pivot quick and we don't maybe the better answers. We don't tell people what to do, like you guys know that firsthand. We are very hands off so creative people are allowed to be creative and that actually, while it sounds simple, I don't think happens a ton of other places like that, and that's why million dollars are worth of games like we want to stay with you because you never interfere, say do this, It's just like go be you. 01:21:56 Speaker 2: It works great If it doesn't, that's because people don't. 01:22:00 Speaker 1: Like then this level of relying on people to actually put the work in. Yeah, because people think you just get a bunch of mics and you talk like, oh, we're gonna we're gonna be making money now. But there's a level of consistency you have to bring to the game every single day. 01:22:10 Speaker 3: Totally. 01:22:11 Speaker 8: Well, I think that's what with you two. Hopefully this isn't taking its disrespectful to Will, but you being on the outs in the NFL allowed somebody to be like twenty four to seven thinking this show and this concept. Without that, Like if you guys were both on the same level in the NFL, I think it gets way harder for us to be interested in that because there's so much going on outside. You need somebody who looks at it exactly what you said. It's not just wake up mice, go on and it because. 01:22:45 Speaker 1: Not Yeah, yes, how do you feel about that comment? 01:22:49 Speaker 3: I still played three years while doing this, but that was meant to be accomplished. 01:22:54 Speaker 1: With him will Will did I say it all the time. Will Is was the backbone is the backbone of this whole thing. Like he sat me down at Chinese restaurant, was like, I want to do a podcast? 01:23:03 Speaker 2: Will you do it with me? 01:23:04 Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah, I guess And then I left for three months ago trained for football. Right well, Will was like literally putting things in place, doing meetings of production guys and getting all that thing putting together. The only thing I really contributed was his bus and like my technical name, it's not like that. 01:23:20 Speaker 8: Yeah I get, I get what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, No, you guys have the chemistry, but there's plenty of there isn't. That's extremely difficult, but it's very hard to find the chemistry with then the desire to do it. Like I remember what sold me the first time we met million dollars worth of game was listening to Wallow talk about how he made money when he got out of jail. He's like, I was just selling T shirts on this corner, like the three corners, Like that's somebody who's gonna fucking go name this right, Yeah, And He's just talking about how content changed all that shit. So that's those two factors if you find same with uh Alex Cooper. Once she came in, she had a sizzle reel and I was like, who made this for you? She's like, I learned how to do it myself, Like I learned all the different heading. I was sold then like who knows if it works? But finding the combo of the people who have the talent like charismatic, you see it, But then no, like this doesn't you need a lot more than just that. 01:24:13 Speaker 2: You need both. 01:24:13 Speaker 8: You gotta work hard and be so I guess it's kind of like sports in that regard. You need both. You need the talent, but you that's not enough. Right first, We'll see. 01:24:20 Speaker 3: Other players like do stuff, and you know, it's like quick to think, like yeah, they're they're going with a network. A network has reached out to them to like do something. So they're putting everything together. Not like we like all this stuff it comes from a fucking came from a notebook. We're in a garage, like or we're not a garage, we're in the gravel parking lot like I remember in my notebook, like letting our asses and I think seventeen I read it when I was on watching it was like be one of the first NFL players slash coaches because I wanted to coach at the time. With like a podcast that hit a million downloads, yep, that was like what was written in the thing. And then we get the podcast going, like when I kind of thought that that could have been my last. 01:24:54 Speaker 2: Year, like being on the outs, but yeah, man. 01:24:57 Speaker 3: It's building the business inside of it is a different ballgame. 01:25:00 Speaker 2: Then a lot of people. 01:25:00 Speaker 1: Understand it's goals changed too, correct our goal. 01:25:04 Speaker 3: I'm like I had that sheet of paper where says with a million one million downloads, and it's just like now you look at everything that's going on, you're like, fuck yeah, I was thinking nearly as big as I thought. 01:25:14 Speaker 8: Oh yeah, yeah, it's the consistent thread, and it's the consistent thread with almost everybody successful from that world that we've hired. And mcviee was the same way. I mean he turned down the contract. He he was like maniacally knew what he wanted to do. Biz Like I've been on phone calls just like telling him to shut the fuck up, literally like you shut the fuck up. I'm sticking here because he wants so much and that's good though it's like and all at the end, it's like I like that. It's like I'd rather have those conversations where I'm screaming at somebody. It's like, just like you're being unreasonable because he wants more and he and I don't mean like money. He's like upset like that, he's things aren't going exactly how he wants. 01:25:52 Speaker 2: But it's because he wants to be bigger, you know. 01:25:55 Speaker 8: And I always say that with Gaz, who's in the worst spot for our social media, Like I want everybody arguing. 01:26:03 Speaker 3: With you that you're not promoting them enough. That's good. 01:26:05 Speaker 8: Like if someone doesn't give a fuck, that's probably bad. Like who doesn't want promo from the thing? He's gonna spread it out. So that's kind of a common consistency of the successful people we've had. They're all just they they view it very seriously as a job. And like what you said, now you're seeing how people do. I mean if you we mentioned him a ton, but you go back and it could be somebody like you. You never know, but you go back and it's like everyone when McAfee didn't take the field goal or the kicking job, Like you're crazy you turn down like what three million a year? Like what are you nuts? 01:26:38 Speaker 2: Well, coming off a Pro Bowl year, I believe. Yeah yeah, walk away. 01:26:41 Speaker 8: On the ears and it's like the best decision he's ever made. Right, So yeah, there's a lot of money there. But then you have we've had other people where it just hasn't worked, like you know, where they think it's just another thing to add and and whatever. 01:26:56 Speaker 2: It some work. 01:26:58 Speaker 3: Some don't. What's the example you're thinking of, Well, I don't. 01:27:01 Speaker 2: I'm trying to think what they should say it. 01:27:06 Speaker 8: Well, I know we had with the basketball player didn't work as scary terry terrors here didn't work at all. 01:27:12 Speaker 1: You know the dinger guy? Who is the dinger guy? I either think you brought him up before when he would work. Yeah, here's a have a title. The guy that would like hit dingers. 01:27:19 Speaker 2: They have a title. 01:27:19 Speaker 12: See you later, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, what's his name? 01:27:22 Speaker 3: Yeah? 01:27:23 Speaker 2: He was funny as ship. 01:27:24 Speaker 3: He was. 01:27:24 Speaker 1: Yes, he did a whole tatorial or how to bun He's like that Chuckie. 01:27:32 Speaker 9: Yeah. 01:27:32 Speaker 8: Yeah, somebody who had the talent side, but you don't have the desire side. And it is harder when you're not in our office, like you almost have to be like doubly, triply, like committed to it. 01:27:46 Speaker 3: Did you find. 01:27:46 Speaker 5: Him type dinger Barshall guy? 01:27:49 Speaker 1: But that would have been the right words, That would have been the right words. Yeah, I thought his stuff was funny. I always wanted to kind of happened. 01:27:55 Speaker 2: To him still on the engine. He was very funny. What the hell is his name? 01:28:01 Speaker 3: No? 01:28:01 Speaker 2: Not Clinton? 01:28:02 Speaker 8: And I like him and people still make jokes about him. They're Ken Murphy. Yeah, very very fucking fun was hilarious. But it's also one of those things which we haven't He's character and character there yeah, so like we're not characters. You can do like a character, but like we're not characters, we're ourselves. So he never this super successful he had it, but he never like got this is that's not him. 01:28:30 Speaker 1: He's playing somebody else. He's playing somebody, But so does Caleb. Caleb plays. He's still conversations, he sits and does yeah. 01:28:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, but that is like. 01:28:42 Speaker 8: He's done a lot more with us, like where he's also Norse. Some people may just know him as that, but I think the barstool world knows him as Caleb. 01:28:51 Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, he's fun to be around. Man, that guy is awesome. 01:28:54 Speaker 2: You guys are like best best buddies. Yeah, we get a little. He's great. He's great. Fat Jeff as well. 01:29:00 Speaker 8: It would have been nice to have you, because we did. He was a tough recruiting guy. I recruited the fuck out Kleob. He's like the only guy that recruited really really no off the top. 01:29:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, so he was, uh, how'd you find him? 01:29:12 Speaker 8: He was the professor of morale North Carolina running down. 01:29:15 Speaker 2: He wasn't uniform professor of morale. 01:29:17 Speaker 3: He was that was his coin term in the football. He was like with the football team. He was the director of morale for the team. 01:29:23 Speaker 8: And he'd be on the sidelines every game with like a jersey on and stuff like that. Oh that's he where like the jersey of an NFL guy from North Carolina. 01:29:30 Speaker 2: Yeah, he'd be. 01:29:31 Speaker 8: Running up down the sidelines like who the fuck is this person? 01:29:34 Speaker 2: Like the long blonde hair. 01:29:35 Speaker 8: So we had him on our rundown, our daily show the next day after one of the ESPN and he was good. He was interesting, and then so we went out. He flew down to Boston. I remember went out and it's like the Gronks were out. It was when he was there, we were partying with like Gronks. He's like, oh, this is fucking cool. He said no. He's like, I forget why he said no. Originally, what did you offer him to. 01:29:58 Speaker 2: Beat it all? Just a job? 01:30:00 Speaker 8: Yeah, And I think he thought he had to write because at the time we're primarily still writing, not as much video. 01:30:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's like, I don't want to write, so no. 01:30:08 Speaker 8: And then it came back so that you can do whatever you want, Like, we really don't tell people what to do, So if you want to make video, make video, Like I don't know what you'll want to do, or what you'll be good at or what interests you. And then we got him and he's done a bunch of things. And that's the thing about Barcel too. He did a bunch of podcasts, none of them really did spectacularly well or anything like that. He was on Barceol Radio with me a little bit, and then you know he he he was always good with the man on the street, always very good with that. And then he found his niche with the Sunday Conversations. 01:30:39 Speaker 1: Dude is so funny is Yeah, he's good. 01:30:43 Speaker 8: He's good people. Oh he got a c in this bus now. 01:30:48 Speaker 2: Building. 01:30:49 Speaker 1: Yeah, which is a huge turn for us. 01:30:51 Speaker 3: No, no, I wouldn't mind water though he does in our situation a little bit better than the last one. 01:30:55 Speaker 2: Might be right by your feet. We get a water for the head man. I appreciate it. 01:31:00 Speaker 1: Hey, shout out the boys pulling off that label too, that's outstanding, great work. 01:31:05 Speaker 2: No for shadows, Really you have a water sponsor, We don't. 01:31:08 Speaker 1: This company sent us a bunch of waters and like for ten episodes of to say. 01:31:12 Speaker 2: Well we do a lot with them. 01:31:14 Speaker 3: Oh you do? 01:31:16 Speaker 2: Yeah? 01:31:17 Speaker 8: If it, no fore shadows onto the whole company. 01:31:23 Speaker 1: I think they just sent us water, and the water is fantastic. But if they want to do something, we would love to do something. 01:31:28 Speaker 2: I used to be. 01:31:28 Speaker 8: Buddy the guy I know very well, the guy who he sold it. But he's a genius. He's our vitamin water and body with a big horse guy Micropolis, shout out geniuses. 01:31:37 Speaker 1: Give me your impression of Joe Rogan, because Will and I are we found our love and podcast talking about Joe Rogan. 01:31:45 Speaker 8: So I was never a huge Rogan fan, like I haven't listened to a ton of his episode's Super Down on Earth and Easy to talk to his studios amazing. I'm not an MMA guy, so a lot of that podcast we did m A. I'm not super deep. Yeah, I don't know. He's just a guys guy like you, guys. I said to you, I think his studio seems like right up your alley, maybe yours as much. I just haven't talked to you as much about like working out, stay in shave all that sheets always says it. But like he's got the water deprivation tank in there. 01:32:15 Speaker 2: Yeah, he's got. 01:32:17 Speaker 8: Oh and arrow like thing where you can range archery range. The weight room literally looks like it could be a college football team. Is fucking huge. Yeah, it's huge for like three or four people. 01:32:31 Speaker 2: You know. When did you like the episode? How did I like it? Yeah? 01:32:36 Speaker 8: I thought it was easy, Like it's a good conversation studio sick. 01:32:39 Speaker 3: It just kind of takets you get. 01:32:40 Speaker 8: I don't smoke cigars, so it's borderline like hi, just from smoking that one. 01:32:44 Speaker 2: But it was easy. He's easy to talk to. Uh, I was. 01:32:49 Speaker 3: I didn't I didn't walk out, and like. 01:32:51 Speaker 8: That's the greatest thing of all time, because I knew there was a lot of m M A talk and that was the one complaint. But then I also people, it's weird with anything, people either love or they didn't like it at all. I didn't get very much down in the middle. And he's so big. He really is so big, like just walking down the street People's show, it's like, hey, I'm listening to the Rogan thing. 01:33:10 Speaker 2: You know. 01:33:10 Speaker 3: Yeah, but I liked him. 01:33:13 Speaker 2: I don't know, would you do it again? Absolutely? Even if I didn't like him, I'd do it. How could you say no to that? 01:33:19 Speaker 8: Right? 01:33:19 Speaker 1: How did it all like work out? Like how did you guys get connected? And going on that episode? 01:33:23 Speaker 2: So I met him for the first time at UFC New York. 01:33:27 Speaker 8: But quickly the New York Times article came out and I posted because in the New York Times recent one on me, the reporter said we reached out to Dave for comment and he wouldn't answer the questions. I posted in exchange with the reporter from like seven months ago, being like, I'll sit down with you, I'll answer anything you have, and she kept saying I'm eager to talk to you. 01:33:50 Speaker 2: And then two weeks would go buy one hair for him. 01:33:51 Speaker 8: I go, hey, I'm willing to talk down to speak with you, like yep, like cameras, you can bring any camera you want audio. I just want to be able to do it too, So I have it. She's like, I'm eager to do it. Eager to do it. Didn't reach out till two days before the article dropped, so seven months past. 01:34:06 Speaker 2: I was like, fuck, no, you've written the whole article. 01:34:09 Speaker 8: All these bullet points are all like, there's no way for me to answer him. They're like, hey, Dave, you're the devil, right any comment like those? 01:34:15 Speaker 3: Like all right, how do I fucking how do you deal with that? 01:34:18 Speaker 2: Yeah? So I posted the exchange. 01:34:20 Speaker 3: He reached out. 01:34:21 Speaker 8: He's like, I saw the New York Times thing. They're the worst, Like you want to come on the podcast. So I actually tweeted this the other day. Emily Steele tipped my cap like the New York Times reporter. I've heard a thank for going on Rogan and making because Barstl's big, Rogan's fucking huge. A lot of people probably didn't know who I was until that episode, So help me help barstools. 01:34:42 Speaker 2: So thank you. What do you have any idea that downloads, he gets no, I think I've heard this number one three weeks in a row. 01:34:49 Speaker 8: And while I do love taking credit, he has a lot of his episodes go to one. I don't know if they stay as long as that or all of them. But he's a monster. I don't think there's anything remotely in his. 01:35:01 Speaker 2: Stratosphere for podcasts. 01:35:03 Speaker 3: Yeah no, he's saying, man, but he's been there a massive beginning. 01:35:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, Webcam. 01:35:08 Speaker 8: A lot of similarities between him and us in terms of because there's quotes and things he said where if you heard them in isolation and you didn't know anything, you'd be like that guy's a jerk. 01:35:19 Speaker 2: But similar to us. 01:35:20 Speaker 8: It's like his people have been with him for twenty ten years, fifteen years. 01:35:24 Speaker 3: They know. 01:35:25 Speaker 8: It's like our people. It's like if you hear a quote me, it's like, yeah, but we've been hang on, hang on, hang on. I'll intervene on that one. Okay, Rogan, Well, he. 01:35:32 Speaker 3: Did a like a little selfie video with a lot of like, you know, apology, accountability. 01:35:39 Speaker 2: Awareness and it all. Yeah, yeah, yeah. 01:35:41 Speaker 3: When that when they did that little I want to say, you said it in on one of their you said, I want to do an interview with him, the guys who like make the burners and make stuff go viral or whatever it was. Yeah, yeah, like when Rogan, when that stuff was coming out of Rogan and they were trying to you know, cancel him stuff like that. 01:35:54 Speaker 1: Yeah, they had like a seven minute clip of him just saying like the end orders. 01:35:57 Speaker 3: Like saying a lot of stuff like way back in the day. But Rogan picks up his phone and does like I guess the way I would explain it is he handles it in like a like a like a like a parent, like an adult. I'm not saying you're not an adult, but that's when you lean into let me fucking I'm gonna stand ten toes down sort of apologize, but not really right. 01:36:19 Speaker 1: Like I understand I did something wrong, but listen, I am who I am, correct, correct, which which both are very good way to go to. 01:36:25 Speaker 8: Individual quotes like this's gonna sound if I thought I did something wrong or out of hate, I would apologize. 01:36:36 Speaker 2: I don't, That's what I'm saying. But you're thinking if you think you did something wrong. 01:36:39 Speaker 3: That's where I feel like the difference is, I'm not saying either one of them is right, wrong and different. I'm explaining where the difference is when Rogan, when that was going on a Rogan, he handles it in a way of like, you know, I don't know, I guess appeasing to the masses. 01:36:54 Speaker 2: I know he's not doing it. 01:36:55 Speaker 3: He's like just saying, like, you know, I said some things. I'm sorry, Like this is not like I'm different, bah blah blah, stuff like that. 01:37:01 Speaker 2: Not like bending the knee. I mean, I don't know that you're not been the knee. 01:37:04 Speaker 8: You're like, I'm not going to fucking bend the knee if this is not an indictment on the way you handle things. No, I'm just looking at the two different things, and I don't know what the video or what he exactly said or or apologized for. Like you're not finding uh like that example, like the N word thing, like you're not your your clips of me doing that. 01:37:23 Speaker 2: It's gonna be one second. Yeah, Like it's not the rap lyric, yeah, right, Like I don't you're saying he had more. 01:37:30 Speaker 1: There's more that I might have not been seven minutes. It might have been a two minutes and thirty second video conversation kind of the same context, like he's saying what somebody said, and he's like, he said this to me. 01:37:43 Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a video of like with like the you know, humility, like trying to show growth that he's had, talking about how it was different back in the day. 01:37:51 Speaker 2: Everyone definitely handles it differently. 01:37:54 Speaker 8: Maybe that is the average, Like I don't maybe one of the things on like my Twitter for example, like a lot of people in life, is they deleted their twitters they like during all of this shit, like just erase it. I didn't like, I know what I say and what I don't say, even when like I it was like when we got into Sam Ponder shit, but I want to say that and I were talking about that's we got a lost shit and she said, uh, Jogan gets two hundred million downloads each month estimated estimated. 01:38:26 Speaker 1: I mean he's never won in like ninety eight countries. Yeah, it's insane, insane, Yes, insane. But I started interrupted, going. 01:38:33 Speaker 8: Like I know what I've said. So I remember, like she said, I wish that her like unborn son was aborted. That's not true. I never said that. Then there was something else that was vicious that I forget the term. But I'm like I definitely said that because I know how I use the same words over and over like that's just the other one won't come from my mouth like certain words I know. I don't know, it's it's I've been doing for twenty years. So I do think if I thought I did something really bad or mean or hateful, I would apologize. 01:39:05 Speaker 2: Things have changed, I like things just change over the internet. 01:39:09 Speaker 3: You had you did have a conversation that you've seen Sam Ponder since? 01:39:13 Speaker 8: Yeah, I respect remember when you thought of her? Yeah, he remember you texted. I think Colt McCoy might have texted me. He was there at the rest of night. 01:39:20 Speaker 3: Hey, if you talk with Dave, if you don't mind shooting a message to Dave. It was like the night before, yeah, yeah, and saying like, you know, apologize took like they had some long conversation, and. 01:39:30 Speaker 8: Ponder went way up in my book on that, like I don't what. So we got in trouble for talking about her when Barstool was still relatively small. 01:39:40 Speaker 2: We basically she was called she was doing college game. 01:39:42 Speaker 8: Day and me and Dan went on a ramp like nobody wants to see her fucking baby on college game day. These are all like horny guys who want you to slutt it up, like that is essentially what we said, Yeah, yeah, that'll came back. 01:39:55 Speaker 2: We didn't. 01:39:56 Speaker 8: But it's like one of those things you say your buddy is basically at the time, like meaning we weren't that big, like we we were shooting the ship and I think three four five years passed so that was. 01:40:07 Speaker 2: Those degenerate years. Yeah, and that was. 01:40:10 Speaker 1: But it's also like it's way back in the memory, like, yeah, you're not gonna. 01:40:13 Speaker 8: It's like if you if someone's like, did you say that? 01:40:16 Speaker 3: Like no, like I don't know I did. 01:40:17 Speaker 8: I I don't remember now if you told me do I think most people watching college game there are young guys and want to see pretty girls and a baby. Yeah, I will maintain that. Take what I say that and the way I did probably not fine. 01:40:30 Speaker 2: See that's that's that's it. 01:40:32 Speaker 3: It's a perfect, great example, right example of how comparing the Joe Rogan, Dave Portnoyd the way they handle certain things, and. 01:40:38 Speaker 1: I would still do all have the same idea. The way I would have said it is probably different. 01:40:42 Speaker 8: Now, yeah, I'm probably you said you if you're day, you're day. 01:40:49 Speaker 2: This probably if you would have. 01:40:51 Speaker 1: Said, if you would have said, I completely understand why she came at me, that I probably shouldn't have done that, and I'll make sure to do better next time. 01:40:57 Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, well yeah, I guess that's all mean, that's that's all me. 01:41:01 Speaker 2: That's my bad way. 01:41:02 Speaker 3: Dave is Dave because I know for a fact I'm correct. 01:41:06 Speaker 8: Like people watch all its game day, most are men, and most are interested is seeing very attractive women. They don't want to see the attractive women's baby. That's a fact. That's if you if you pull the but you can say it in a way that she could start slutting up. Don't say it that way. That was a bad way to say it. Maybe I won't say it all, but I am I right about the thought problem. 01:41:31 Speaker 3: Maybe there it goes again, is why are. 01:41:38 Speaker 8: Reporters attractive? Is that just the biggest coincidence in the history. 01:41:43 Speaker 2: Of the world. 01:41:43 Speaker 8: No, no, no, that's I'll think everyone's moving their seats. 01:41:51 Speaker 2: I was like, damn, why is that? Anyways? 01:41:54 Speaker 1: I said that, just get like a like a an unattractive girl like one. Companys be like see. 01:42:00 Speaker 8: Ye, and I mean there are some and listen pe this. I think Doris Burke. She's not sideline play by play. I fucking love her, I said, at one point I put her on the one dollar bill or something. 01:42:09 Speaker 3: They're talking about puting a woman on the one dollar bill. 01:42:11 Speaker 8: But what that thought that Dan and I had just ranting and it wasn't prefaced. I forget how it came out, but we talked about it. She comes back when uh Barcel van talk gets on ESPN, and we didn't even again. It was so far in the past I did. If you asked me, does Sam Ponder have beef with you, I'd be like, no, Like I've never even Sam Pond. I'm never say anything about her. Clearly we had, they had the receipts I saw, you know that piece of ship. Nick con too is responsible for that. He's the guy runs WWE's a piece of ship. Yeah, then he like cocaine or something that's John Skipper also a piece of shit. Nick con is the CEO of or maybe CEO of WWE, and he was Sam Ponder's agent. He also probably a month prior I had met with him, he kissed my ass about how much he fucking loved Barcel. He was the one who ratted us out to ESPN. Then this fucking guy has the balls. After the Sam Ponder shit happened like two months later, there was a fight at Madison Square Garden and invited me to be his guest to sit next to him. I wrote back, I go, do you not think I know what happens to Sam Ponder? Do you always invite like people who fucking hate you to sit next to you? And it's like, whoa, I don't know if that was me, it was fucking you piece of shit. Anyways, Sam Ponder. I do respect Sam Ponder. Catch New York Steakhouse. I was on a date walking out this blonde woman who I did not recognize at first. I think she was wearing a hat nose to nose, Like, do you recognize me? It's like, no, actually I don't. She's like really I really didn't recognize her. I'm like, no, hey, that's gotta be tough for the date. I didn't know what was going on. 01:43:53 Speaker 2: Yeah, oh they're like married, gofud or something like oh fuck. 01:44:00 Speaker 8: And she's like, I'm the Sam Ponder. I was like, oh, and we just got into it. I respect her for getting in my face. You are I'd much rather that you. 01:44:10 Speaker 2: Are probably at me. 01:44:11 Speaker 1: She was coming at you like aggressively. Yes, how did it end civilly? That's all I can ask for. 01:44:18 Speaker 8: We both kind of were like, okay, okay, I uh, I respected it. 01:44:22 Speaker 3: Now there is you think she. 01:44:24 Speaker 2: Has a different opinion of you walking out of there. Maybe do you know her? Maybe you know her? 01:44:29 Speaker 8: There's other parts now because part of my take, and Dan and PFT were very much involved in all of that because their show got canceled, and they, I believe, had some interactions with her that they don't think add up like I think they invited it. They want to talk to her, sit down, and she didn't want any part of it. At least that's how it goes. But for her with me, and a lot of times I've said this, when people are the first punch at me, I have no sympathy for you, jen like and I ignored it a lot. But if you keep coming at me and then I come after, you don't cry to me. We threw the first punch at her like she was minding our own business. It wasn't personal what we were talking about, but it can certainly come across as personal. 01:45:13 Speaker 2: So I never have had a problem of all the people I've had bes with. 01:45:18 Speaker 8: I don't even you know she She's we said shit about her that she had every right to be mad about, and she held a grudge. I hold grudges, and she fucking hit us over the head with a steel chair with it when we were least expecting. 01:45:30 Speaker 2: That's essentially what happened. 01:45:32 Speaker 8: It may have benefited us in the wrong run, because God knows what happens. If those two guys went to ESPN and were successful, Barcel's probably in a different place. So I think it worked out. But yeah, I got no samponder beef anymore. Yeah, you said they go to ESPN. You talking about PFT and Big yet, Yes, because they did the van TA. 01:45:52 Speaker 3: Yeah, they were test driving, I. 01:45:53 Speaker 8: Think is what they were doing because they had exploded. Pardon my take was huge. They're both under contract and they basically Dan has been with us forever, so if Dan wants to do something, he gets to do it. That's the loyalty and credit he's earned and deserved. And he really wanted to do this. I was never comfortable with this. He knows that. Like whenever I was in the meeting of these I felt like they didn't like me. They didn't like Barstool and it was I think they were really just test driving it, like if these if this show works, we'll make them an offer that at the time we couldn't compete with, you know, and I was very worried about that. Never had to worry much longer because they did one episode and all hell broke loose and John Skipper, now he was the CEO of ESPN, he didn't tell us they were canceling the show. We read a press release that said he did not know Barstool Van Talk would be associated with Barstool Sports. The name of the show was Barcel Van Talk. And then two weeks later he got extorted by his coke dealer. That was the story, and he resigned. I had bought it one time, right, yep. I had already gotten a champagne bottle engraved with his name on it and we popped it on like the rundown. 01:47:10 Speaker 1: Is that the fastest champagne pop justice? 01:47:12 Speaker 2: Yeah? 01:47:12 Speaker 1: By far? 01:47:13 Speaker 2: That was. 01:47:13 Speaker 8: That was like God touching me on the shoulder, being like I got you. 01:47:19 Speaker 2: Yeah, like two weeks after, I mean, come on, So. 01:47:22 Speaker 1: When ESPN was negotiating with PFT and Big Cat, did you openly comes in and say, hey, this is how I feel. I feel like this is I'm not comfortable. 01:47:32 Speaker 8: No. The reason why I asked that is we were in an uncomfortable spot a little bit with Dan and PFT at the time. In general, I think like I think Dan's contract was kind of coming up or something. I there was a lot going on, but it was, uh, that was probably the rockiest our relationship Dan and I had been and PFT was still releively sort of new, like he didn't have the ten year back story. So no, but I think he knew. Erica certainly knew, and yes, they just it was like I'd walking around like you're walking in the room, like, oh for real. Yeah, it was a bad vibe. 01:48:11 Speaker 1: And so but you guys obviously squatched that when you went to interview Trump, Dan had like a big release like that, well, we don't do this. Yeah, I just in America and generally everybody hated Trump or people were very loud about hating Trump. 01:48:24 Speaker 8: Yeah, that was that was bad too. That was faster. That was like a single incident. He was He was definitely upset about that. And I get that that's a tough situation because it goes again for barstool, which I don't know if it happens everywhere, which I think he rightfully kind of felt. It's like, well, people view him as barstool. They certainly view me. So it's like, if I'm interviewing Trump and he has strong feelings, it's it's on him. 01:48:50 Speaker 2: He has to answer for what I'm doing. 01:48:52 Speaker 8: I feel differently about that, Like I've said that if the sitting president, you know, asked me to go interview him, I'm going to do it. 01:49:00 Speaker 3: Now part of me a little bit. 01:49:02 Speaker 8: It's like if I asked Dan and he's gonna say no, maybe it helps him, but then it's like, well, one, am I just gonna not Like I knew I was doing it regardless. I went to even my dad, who nobody hates more, nobody hates Trump more than him. My dad hates, hates, hates. He's like, you gotta do it, like it's the president. Really, Yeah, yeah you should, He puckered up. That was after I didn't ask him that. 01:49:27 Speaker 2: After I yeah, I asked, like. 01:49:29 Speaker 8: My mom and people I trusted around, I had to do it. 01:49:33 Speaker 2: It's uh. 01:49:34 Speaker 1: Dan had a Dan had a good point in his little like press conference that he did for it was that barstool is a comedy type of entertainment media. The minute you involve politics, like now, the line is skewed totally. How did you feel like, did do you agree with that statement? Because technically, if we look at it right now, nothing's really changed other than your brand got bigger from that. From that whole thing, I don't feel like barstool is viewed any differently from a political stand point. 01:50:00 Speaker 8: It's political. Well, like I go on Fox News. That's certainly viewed as political, even though I don't really talk politics when I go on. But you know, people really hate Tucker or love Tucker. Yeah, I don't, and people may not believe this. I really think it's good for the brand to do that because the audience is fucking huge. 01:50:22 Speaker 2: Yeah. It like exposes us to people who. 01:50:26 Speaker 8: May not be exposed and they find different you know, they may listen to you guys are part of my take or whoever and find something they like. 01:50:34 Speaker 2: Like. So, I do think. 01:50:35 Speaker 8: It's good and I'm all about It's almost like what you said about the Rogan, Like, would you go on Rogan? 01:50:41 Speaker 12: Yeah? 01:50:41 Speaker 8: Of course, it's such a big fucking platform. But Dan also does have a point, it's like, I don't want Barcel to be political. I don't yet I'll go into view the president of the United States. How can you say yeah? Yeah, Like, how can you say no to that? It is such a huge, huge, fucking platform. And to be honest, I guess we've tried to do politics like we had hard factor. I just don't want people to say they're left or they're right all the time or anything. And I don't think we are, like you're allowed to be what even I think I'm misconstrued on how people think I feel because I don't think I'm left or right some issues on one of the other. In that interview with Trump, I don't think it was overly like one way or the other. 01:51:26 Speaker 2: You know. So it is a delicate slope. 01:51:29 Speaker 1: Though you should you should go to uh, you should go interview byen Now we offered it, and then all of a sudden we offered they said no. 01:51:35 Speaker 8: That was literally the first thing we did when Trump asked or like, say let's go off for the same invite to him, and they didn't do it. 01:51:43 Speaker 2: So I mean, yeah, that was literally the first thing we did. 01:51:46 Speaker 1: I wonder why they wouldn't do it. 01:51:47 Speaker 2: It's almost like you see it too, like audience, like growing audience. 01:51:50 Speaker 8: It's I've said this a million times then old Jordan quote like you got I sell sneakers to red states and blue states. 01:51:56 Speaker 2: I sell t shirts to red states and blue states. 01:51:59 Speaker 3: We do. 01:52:00 Speaker 2: There's bad on both side. 01:52:01 Speaker 8: Extremes there are, and uh, you know I have, but I'm in the street and I can tell like the people who come up, a lot of them like hey love you and talker love you on this, and it's like, yeah, they make its true. What like barstool I we get them both. We fucking get it on both. Like when I say political stance, which I I don't like doing because it causes like fucking chaos. 01:52:27 Speaker 2: People who who. 01:52:28 Speaker 8: Have supported me or think they support my political views for two years, if I say one thing they disagree with something that they hate me, They're like, you're the fucking worst. 01:52:35 Speaker 2: It's like, you know, you just thought I fucking liked you, but now. 01:52:38 Speaker 8: Not right because I disagree with you on like one thing, and it's like, what are you fucking talking about? So it is what it is, but I get it. We we've always said we don't want to do politics, but I've done politics. Yeah, yeah, it's the boss. 01:52:52 Speaker 1: You can do what you want. 01:52:53 Speaker 2: Yeah, press conferences, yeah it. 01:52:56 Speaker 3: I overall think it. It does. 01:52:59 Speaker 8: He just make barstool more prevalent everywhere. Obviously can cause some problems, but at the same time, like it just draws eyeballs overall, brand. 01:53:12 Speaker 2: The brand whole what we're doing. How do you how do you continue to do that? 01:53:15 Speaker 3: Like beyond all this stuff, like as you kind of do a little bit less or guys or moving to Chicago, Like, how do. 01:53:22 Speaker 8: You keep finding great talent? You just gotta keep finding great talent because not upon like if you look at let's say you guys or me just at the air PMT or million dollars worth of game or Breonna chicken fry, just find people if they're great at what they're doing. Like, as you guys are building audience, you're building audience for us. Like not to suck both your dicks, but like coming on this for me is good because probably there's a good portion of your audience who they obviously know me at some point, but they may not know me that well. So it's like, oh, this guy's not bad. We like so every time a brand for play whoever is growing audience. It helps everybody because then you start mixing in and interacting, like you with the case race or whatever it may be. It just helps grow and every all you know, rising tides, all ships. That's kind of how barstool is. It just get as much cross pollination and everybody's kind of doing their thing and growing it, and you find new people and they're growing it. It's like the perfect sample is the TikTok shit, which I still get people busting my balls, like why you're doing a fucking podcast with a nineteen year old twenty Austin's with me? It's what that or pizza is what I get known for. Like if I walk around like anyone under twenty one, they all know who I am because of TikTok, Like you're on the BFFs. 01:54:39 Speaker 2: It's crazy. 01:54:40 Speaker 8: Yeah, Like I can walk into a hotel like a thirteen year old girl will be like bfs bss. It just reached a whole new audience and then maybe they start getting into the other stuff. 01:54:48 Speaker 1: So with that age gap between you and him, Like is there a lot of common ground you guys? 01:54:52 Speaker 8: You can find out you guys like friends like you guys liked to find. We don't like he's like, what twenty years old? Hell? 01:54:59 Speaker 1: Hold the time and you. 01:54:59 Speaker 2: Guyslay video games together. We don't play video You guys don't play. 01:55:02 Speaker 1: We're talking like I'm staying like outside of the pod, No, you guys are not like we are friends? Yeah, but like is there a common ground where you guys are like these are different generations? Correct, Like how does that gail between you guys outside of this podcast? 01:55:15 Speaker 2: Doesn't like? 01:55:16 Speaker 8: I mean again, I'll be friendly with him, am I if I'm in his city would be like, hey, I'm going out. No, I don't go out, and I think it's weird for me to go out with like a nineteen twenty year old he's kid. 01:55:26 Speaker 2: Yeah, so but uh, he's actually a great guy. 01:55:29 Speaker 8: Like I like him and if I was younger, i'd probably friends with him. 01:55:33 Speaker 2: But no, we're not. 01:55:35 Speaker 8: I barely go out even with the guys like my age are I'm friends with. 01:55:39 Speaker 3: But now we balls about dinner. 01:55:41 Speaker 2: I don't, well that's dinner. I'm a winner guy. 01:55:44 Speaker 3: As we can be better friends than what we are with dinner, the three of us all, I feel. 01:55:51 Speaker 1: Like the fastest way for us all to be better friends, is Dave following you back on Twitter? 01:55:56 Speaker 2: You know he has? It's happened. 01:55:57 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and we've taken the steps when to take. I haven't follow you, don't I know, and listen, I feel like babysips. I'm like, and I'm working on ninety day rocks right now. Like I'm like slowly, like I'm checking in with myself and seeing we. 01:56:08 Speaker 2: Can make that happen. It took a while. 01:56:10 Speaker 3: We'd be all throughout the college football year and he's always fucking trolling me on like then, and I thought it was so funny, always following. I didn't know. 01:56:18 Speaker 8: I didn't follow you, honest, that's hilarious. Honest, that's something I'm bad half the time. I don't know, Like I didn't know till it was mentioned. I'm like, oh, fah, that wasn't some Weirdoh I didn't know. I thought it was like a big uh power. No, no, no, no, I. 01:56:31 Speaker 2: Thought it was hilarious and getting negotiation tactic. 01:56:33 Speaker 8: Yeah no, that I honestly did not know. Dude, did you how did you enjoy our negotiation? 01:56:40 Speaker 2: I can't remember what we're arguing about. 01:56:43 Speaker 3: We were arguing about gambling. Gambling was the entire reason the extension started to happen anyway. 01:56:47 Speaker 2: But there was one What was the one? 01:56:49 Speaker 8: Well, yes, I knew, I knew that we didn't want to. 01:56:52 Speaker 2: Promote you gambling and then he bounce in like four days. 01:56:55 Speaker 3: That's that you were You were hard Yeah, like as you should have been, Like you were hard pressed all we're just gonna promote and you're just gonna dip and bounce and leave right because it was, hey, let's get a deal done by football season, or will shelfit and not talk until after the year's over because you're like, we have control now, we won't have control once the pin acquisition hits. 01:57:13 Speaker 8: Yes, correct, that too, that it was the combo of things like so basically for the people don't know, she's well well killer, it was a no bra so your contract was up like now February football, so we didn't really know where you guys are at. 01:57:31 Speaker 1: We interrupt this episode to bring you Blue Nile. Correct, you guys were you guys were too You guys were two on one ing on me. 01:58:58 Speaker 8: No, you guys got a great deal trying to negotiate fucking him to get a gambling deal. 01:59:02 Speaker 2: He'd be kicked off of the NFL. 01:59:03 Speaker 1: I'm not a gambling deal equity. 01:59:06 Speaker 3: Like this guy. 01:59:09 Speaker 2: We had to learn the hardway on that. 01:59:11 Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, really the only person to learn the hard way was you with your ten No. 01:59:16 Speaker 3: I know, I'm just saying learn like trying to trying to make it up and like make everything because everybody was trying to pall everybody at Barsool. Everybody was on board to make your dennapp and hey, what in the fuck do we have to do? Yeah, And ultimately it's like the dead end was you have to separate not only from the Barsol deal, but also busting like busting ls. So what like. 01:59:36 Speaker 8: You're you are? What are busting? And you're with Barstool? Why are you allowed in the NFL? 01:59:41 Speaker 1: I don't know, It's weird. One of our first twenty episodes was with Mike Mike Vrabel. We've had Arthur Smith on this podcast on two separate occasions, right, I don't know. It was kind of one of those things where it was a new space and we were the first ones doing it. Yeah, and Barstool wasn't gambling yet, or you guys were gambling, but you guys weren't acquired by Pan or anything. 02:00:00 Speaker 2: Don't changes why. I don't know. 02:00:02 Speaker 1: I really don't know. 02:00:03 Speaker 2: That's a I don't know. 02:00:06 Speaker 3: I personally just feel like, uh and maybe not maybe that's just me thinking bigger than what it was, but just making it hard because. 02:00:13 Speaker 1: It was like a Barcel affiliate, a Barsel affiliate, and gambling was not negotiated in the CBA, so it's such a gray area that they don't know, right, but they basically try to make an example at a will. 02:00:23 Speaker 8: Well, even even the gambling thing was I mean, we we freak out on that guy who got suspended for doing like a parlay. 02:00:31 Speaker 2: Yeah, free Calvin Ridley, by the way. 02:00:33 Speaker 3: Active Player, which is always was just funny because it's like, you know. 02:00:36 Speaker 2: They're in bed with all the big nose. 02:00:38 Speaker 1: What I'm what I'm interested to see is when I get cut from the Titans and I go somewhere else. Are they going to give me a hard time signing a contract being associated with Barcel Sports? 02:00:48 Speaker 3: Because that's what it came down. We had everything figured out, and then they also wanted to see uh bust and stuff too, And it's like, well, why are we having to jump through all. 02:00:55 Speaker 2: These fucking hoops just to do this stuff? 02:00:57 Speaker 8: Like this should have been done weeks ago that by that point it was like four weeks. 02:01:01 Speaker 2: There's like maybe three weeks left in the season. You don't know, I mean, you don't know what that. 02:01:05 Speaker 1: That might be a stray bullet from you with all the Cadell stuff. 02:01:08 Speaker 8: Yeah, but then you look like Drew Brees, did you see the ship that happened him? Like they he like you could no longer bet on Purdue because then except he's like coaching Purdue. 02:01:17 Speaker 2: Right yeah. Yeah, So they're. 02:01:20 Speaker 8: Just the persensitive about I guess any potential. But you would I assume if we're owned by Penn Gambling Company and you're getting a paycheck. 02:01:31 Speaker 3: I don't know, the biggest thing I feel like they stood out to them that they wanted me to do is delete all the content off of YouTube. So I am active I was out there throughout the season, but look doing picks and everything. 02:01:41 Speaker 2: Else and signs right behind his head at the bus. Yeah, no affiliation. 02:01:45 Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know, but it was I mean, yeah, that was an interesting It was cool too. 02:01:49 Speaker 8: You kind of get like more into the weeds of fucking. It's all about how can you even set a table? He's such a worm, so you gotta bleink that blossie. Yeah, yeah, we're good. 02:02:01 Speaker 1: We started, we started talking about all that he's really he grinds, He grinds. 02:02:05 Speaker 2: He's a grinder. He's a grinder. Solid. 02:02:08 Speaker 1: Yeah, very strong in his Jewish faith too. 02:02:11 Speaker 3: H three and were strong and you knows everything coming. 02:02:15 Speaker 8: Speaking of that reason you want juice on Rogan, you were talking about Kanye, Kanye you hate him? 02:02:21 Speaker 1: Is there a way that what do you think happens to Kanye? 02:02:23 Speaker 8: I hated he just got married. I really to who to a girl who looks like number two? 02:02:28 Speaker 3: Yeah? 02:02:29 Speaker 5: The owner or one of the creative people easy. I think he looks very similar to Kim Dude. 02:02:35 Speaker 1: I hate him that got remarried. 02:02:37 Speaker 2: That's crazy, Well, he's crazy. 02:02:38 Speaker 8: I hated him before he uh he declared he his pro hitler. 02:02:43 Speaker 3: That kind of sealed the deal for me, Like you. 02:02:46 Speaker 1: Know, the whole funny thing about that with you on Joe was was Alex Jones, not even Alx Jones, Like, well, you mean he's. 02:02:53 Speaker 8: Like you you don't mean to say nice things about Hitler's Like no, yeah, I do. He's guys like great, all right, what did he? 02:02:59 Speaker 2: Uh? 02:03:00 Speaker 1: Was he was he saying that Hitler was smart? Or he was saying that Hitler was Yeah, he's one of those not as bad as we think he was. 02:03:07 Speaker 8: Oh, I think he's like he has some good ideas, like the people who want to sneak in like anti Semitism without like openly being I hate Jews, like he invented like highways, Like all right, great, like for every highway he killed the fucking million Jews. 02:03:20 Speaker 2: Like you want to fucking metal Like we don't. 02:03:24 Speaker 8: We don't want to hear that he he fucking was good with like the LFE bulb, like the guy. 02:03:28 Speaker 1: They always say that. But the Germans too, like their scientists. Yeah, for the reason for all these different inventions as well. 02:03:33 Speaker 8: Yeah, and listen, they're like if if you're going out of your way to praise Hitler, I got a feeling where you're coming from. 02:03:41 Speaker 1: No, no, no, I'm not hitless. 02:03:42 Speaker 8: No, I'm not anyway right understand kany you didn't know that you like Kanye? 02:03:47 Speaker 1: Uh No, that was been left field. 02:03:52 Speaker 8: He is crazy because people still try to twist and defend him. I hated him long before I thought it's just a guy who got a free pass for being a total douchebag. 02:04:00 Speaker 2: I really hated him. 02:04:01 Speaker 8: I like Taylor Swift, but what he and people laugh, but what he and Kim Kardashian did Taylor Swift was unreal. Like they He's massive. There was that whole controversy. He had that lyric like, oh fuck Taylor. 02:04:17 Speaker 3: Swift or something. 02:04:17 Speaker 8: This is after he went up and stole the award, which is an all time asshole move. 02:04:22 Speaker 2: Who does that? 02:04:22 Speaker 1: I'll let you finished in a second. But Beyonce had the best whatever. 02:04:25 Speaker 8: It's fucking her moment, sent the fuck down. Everyone gave him a free pass on that. She threw a couple of shots to you after, didn't she years years. 02:04:33 Speaker 2: Down the road? 02:04:34 Speaker 7: Yeah? 02:04:34 Speaker 2: Shots? 02:04:35 Speaker 3: But I think. 02:04:36 Speaker 1: Your new album has something about that in it. I might be that might be I might be speaking at her lyric. 02:04:41 Speaker 8: The Taylor Swift didn't know about Kanye's made that bitch famous lyric all that after time, and I think something I was sleeping Kanye and Kim Claint because Taylor was like, no, I didn't approve that, and Kanye and Kim are like, yeah you did. We asked you, we called you, and they had a phone conversation and they fucking edited it, released it and anyone who listened to it be like, oh, she did approve it, and and Taylorstos was like, no, I didn't that they're editing it. It's like, all right, they edited a conversation. Years later the full conversation came out. They fucking edited it. That's wild, and everyone gave him a free pass. It's like, think about someone doing that to you, like on that. Kanye has got these crazy fans editing a conversation, so he's a fucking cock. I hate him between them, but it made a lot easier as a Jewish guy, when you hate Jews, I to be like, well, I don't like you. 02:05:31 Speaker 1: I can understand why you'd be upset about that. 02:05:33 Speaker 2: YEA, yeah, that's an understandable thing. 02:05:34 Speaker 8: And I mean, who knows what happens to him? Obviously he's got issues. But yeah, no, I I do you hate Kim as well? Yeah, I don't like him even not a Kim fan. Yeah, not a Kim fan either. 02:05:46 Speaker 1: I don't understand really that whole process that her house, she got so famous, Yeah, I mean no, but it was also the ither you go back farther. She was like on Paris Hilton's hip when Paris. 02:05:58 Speaker 8: Like there's even early Chris Jenner videos like clearly your mother, who's a genius, and even the sex tape, which was the answer, how did you get famous? 02:06:06 Speaker 2: A lot of people put out sex. 02:06:07 Speaker 8: Tapes without rising to the level of fame, so they're they're smart, brilliant business people. 02:06:12 Speaker 3: And one who denies that is how how'd you figure out how to put out your sex tape? 02:06:18 Speaker 2: I did not put out my sex tape? Are you sure? 02:06:19 Speaker 1: I thought I saw that. 02:06:20 Speaker 3: I was posted by day Portnoy Portnoy creative genius, no releases. 02:06:24 Speaker 8: My dad asked that months after the fact, like did you do that? It's like, are you crazy? 02:06:28 Speaker 3: Oh? 02:06:28 Speaker 2: Never put up much. 02:06:29 Speaker 1: I thought the like I thought the way you handled that was incredible. 02:06:34 Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck. 02:06:35 Speaker 8: I do feel bad for the girls, like the girls are not I don't want Yeah, but there had to be a level of like your fucking chest like that that gut feeling. We're like, oh fuck when that came out. Yes, but again, it's not necessarily as weird as it's not me. It's like my parents' girlfriend whatever. I remember, I was actually dating a girl at the time. I've had, like basically since Renee, two girlfriends. I was dating one of them. And she thought, like a girl texted me at midnight and I put the phone down and she's like, who was that. I was like, don't worry about it. You don't want to see it. She's like, who was that, and like it wasn't a girl. It wasn't she will let me see. It was the sex tape. It was like, all right, here you go. 02:07:18 Speaker 1: She watched that video and dude, she look at it and go, I thought like, I only did that with you. 02:07:23 Speaker 8: No, no, no, But she didn't say that. But it didn't go well. 02:07:28 Speaker 1: Imagine, but like, really that girl, she doesn't as long as it wasn't while you were dating her, there's nothing to really stand on because everybody has had sex now, she she can't really be that mad. 02:07:39 Speaker 2: It's funny you think that somehow doesn't translate. 02:07:43 Speaker 1: No, no, I understand it doesn't translate. 02:07:47 Speaker 3: Think of a sex tape service with your wife right now, you know what I mean with Taylor in. 02:07:51 Speaker 1: The sex tape. Yeah, that would be a tough l for me to take to be like I was, but I would. I wouldn't leave unless it was like dated to like twenty eighteen. 02:08:02 Speaker 3: All right in the middle of our marriage time. 02:08:05 Speaker 2: Right. 02:08:05 Speaker 1: But if it was like, oh, twenty thirteen, they're like, listen, dude, yeah it was some kik. Sh'd be like, I'm a little disappointed. 02:08:12 Speaker 3: It wouldn't go well like that. It wouldn't go well in that moment. 02:08:16 Speaker 2: No, nobody wants it. 02:08:17 Speaker 3: Nobody it No, Yeah. 02:08:20 Speaker 1: It's a perfect you said it perfect. Da It's like not like you could hand handle that. But your family seeing it close friends, real friends. 02:08:28 Speaker 3: Yeah whatever you're saying. 02:08:29 Speaker 1: They're dating now, Like I'm sure at one point you guys had to have a conversation about that video. 02:08:34 Speaker 8: That's not a conversation that will go well. Yeah, No, I understand. No, No, I could say, as I say, is coming out from ten years ago what and it did be broken bottles that it won't to go, well, and it is different like you're talking about now, Savannah. 02:08:55 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's still. We had a hilarious interaction with her in Arizona. Yeah. 02:08:58 Speaker 3: I think she's told me. 02:09:00 Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, dude, I'll just tell it because when we were the night was gay. 02:09:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, she thought I was gay. 02:09:07 Speaker 1: And you guys were laying in bedo. Is that big guy is he gay? 02:09:10 Speaker 2: Like kids? 02:09:12 Speaker 9: Yeah? 02:09:12 Speaker 1: Yeah, because that night before night before the game, Yeah, and uh, we were all joking like everyone's like you to leave your door open for Joey. I'm like, absolutely, I hope he sends me his room. 02:09:22 Speaker 2: Dude. 02:09:23 Speaker 1: I mean I guess I wasn't joking, you know what I'm saying. So she goes up. But Roan's wife during that conversation was like, hey, are you like I had it felt uncomfortable ask me, are you gay? Maybe I'm not sure. 02:09:37 Speaker 3: I'm married with your kids. 02:09:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, that was circulating. That was circulating. 02:09:40 Speaker 1: That's so just the thought of you guys like brush your teeth and like laying into bed and going She's going, hey, that tailor guy is he You gotta sit there and be like no, oh, yeah, what'd you say? 02:09:52 Speaker 8: I said exactly that I'm like, he's married with like kids. He's like an NFL player, not that you can't begin in the NFL, but it's like we're like, oh, here he is. Like I think I showed the Arrow video. I was like, yeah, look that's m He's not gay, No, that Cara. But she's like, no, I'm pretty sure it's gay. It was like we were going back and forth like no, he's gay. I'm like, no, I don't think he is. I saw her like I was. 02:10:11 Speaker 1: They had a little roped off area and I sit down next to her and she like kind of looks at me and go, hey, how are you? 02:10:17 Speaker 2: She was good. 02:10:17 Speaker 1: She was, Hey, I had a conversation last night basically the whole thing. I was dying laughing at it. 02:10:23 Speaker 2: Dude, how does she hind all the business insider stuff? 02:10:26 Speaker 3: Not good? 02:10:27 Speaker 2: Not good? Not good? What like if she ever dated a Columbian kind of not good? 02:10:35 Speaker 8: There it's a very fiery rational or like it's not true what he does not good? 02:10:42 Speaker 3: It does not go good. 02:10:44 Speaker 2: Like an Italian. Yeah, it's just not good. Don't way harder than Italian, way harder? 02:10:50 Speaker 8: No, how else describe it except not good? Like not I not good? 02:10:55 Speaker 3: Not good. 02:10:57 Speaker 2: Not good, Yeah, not good. 02:10:59 Speaker 8: And it's like you then you're fighting like eighteen different battles. It's like, you know, you got your western front, your Eastern front, like people coming at you who really hate you. She's coming at you. You don't even know what you're defending against over here. It's just like there's no answers. There's a lot of it's just you're just shooting everything. 02:11:16 Speaker 2: It's not good. That's the worst part of it. 02:11:18 Speaker 8: Be a lot easier single, some of the controversies because I do have thick skin, like I fuck, like whatever, sex tape? 02:11:25 Speaker 2: Fine, yeah, I fuck. I was single. 02:11:27 Speaker 8: But it when when you're in a dedicated relationship, things get complicated, especially with a Colombian dicey yeah yeah, yeah yeah, Like you think I'm a pron That's why I like Julie Black. I'm gonna drop Silvana at your doorstep like a good luck. 02:11:42 Speaker 3: Like good luck. 02:11:46 Speaker 1: How do people get that video? 02:11:47 Speaker 3: Did the girl sich one? 02:11:49 Speaker 2: Is? I? Oh? There more than one? Are you talking about the sex tape? The sex tape? How does somebody hold they think there's three sex apes? Really, you got three of them out there in the back of the day. But spitting. Yeah, it's okay to spit fucking kids show. 02:12:08 Speaker 1: That's one of those things that like, you don't I mean, you might think about it, but I wouldn't think about it. But if someone's like spit on me and like in the moment, yeah, no, no, no, no, I'm glad. 02:12:17 Speaker 2: That's the example. 02:12:17 Speaker 8: Like one of the videos, it's if that girl came out like I didn't want this, I'd be fucked. Thankfully, one of the girls like, I, this is like what I wanted, like casual Tuesday. She she literally after it was over, DM, she's like, you know what, at least going public, like more guys were into this will be like reaching out to me like she was into it. But whatever, uh but whatever, how did they get out? 02:12:40 Speaker 2: I don't know. 02:12:42 Speaker 1: Did you have the video or did we have the video? 02:12:44 Speaker 2: We both did. Yeah, I feel like being Dave Portnoy, you can't let them have that video. 02:12:47 Speaker 8: A lot of them are old, and a lot of them like go back to the the first ones, like in my wildest dreams, would I want to give a fuck about watching me? Fuck no, Yeah, it's gotta be a nice feeling kind of well, I don't know the do it as like, oh my god, I'm to fuck them. It's more like, you know, a circus. I think that for the first one the day it came out. I mean I can every everywhere I went. It didn't matter. It could be an old lady, it could be like a little kids like so I sex sape, so ice sex tape. It's like, oh, thanks, nice, I have a good day. How's the coffee? You know, he says like, all right, thank you? 02:13:20 Speaker 3: Yeah, what's stuff? Watching it being you know, not horny in the moment you're going with it right when you're watching it. 02:13:28 Speaker 1: Like the worst case it would be like if you just beat off and then the video came out and be like, oh yeah again. 02:13:37 Speaker 8: The first one was not the second one in batrassing, certainly. 02:13:42 Speaker 2: I don't know. 02:13:42 Speaker 8: It is what it is. It everyone fucks. It's so I never promised to be an angel, you know. Yeah, b maybe when you're a little kid. Yeah right, I mean whatever, you handle this well too. I mean, your room full of guys were all peppering you about your good locker room. Here's a good locker room vibe. 02:14:04 Speaker 1: Most do you have anything out there that could possibly be you never know? Actually I know you have some stuff out there people every son of conversations. 02:14:13 Speaker 2: It's on a conversations that we've had. 02:14:15 Speaker 8: Yeah, like literally a couple like ago everybody, every guy sort of has that. 02:14:19 Speaker 3: I actually don't. 02:14:21 Speaker 8: The one thing I don't get is why me personally? Maybe because people invite me, Like every guy has that ship out there most Yeah, like because you weren't thinking that early phones like why I'm like mine got released like years after I was like, what the fuck. 02:14:37 Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a couple I got out there that I've literally told my wife about, like, hey, this video is out there if anything ever comes out, Like you know, So. 02:14:44 Speaker 8: I told the girl that that I mentioned prior that when I'm like, she's like, what is it? 02:14:49 Speaker 2: She knew I told I because I believe it or not. 02:14:52 Speaker 8: The there's a celebrity sex tape guy like he did Kardashian he did Paris in the Hilton Paris one night in Paris. The resume mine gets sent to him and he's a fan, so he gives me. He's like, hey, they're shopping this, So it's out there. It's like Fox, but there's no there's no relation to when it drops. Yeah, and that's the problem. Of the internet because you can't sell it. And that's how you know I'm not in on it because it's you'll never see it released properly because I don't get my like it's like, no, I don't want that out there. I'd never give the rights to it to be out there, which is how you know, like Kim Paris signed off on it, because you can't monetize it unless the person people involved give it the rights. But with Twitter, people put it up and sucks. It does suck. I don't care. But a girl to have it be out, God knows how it gets out. 02:15:40 Speaker 2: I don't know. 02:15:41 Speaker 8: There's a million like, like, I'm not beyond if a girl had sent me like a video of her, like me sending I don't fucking know. It's so long ago, and it's like on a Snapchat. It's like you think it's gone. 02:15:51 Speaker 2: It's not. Yeah, photos everything. 02:15:53 Speaker 3: I would be surprised if people that didn't have photos and stuff out there. 02:15:56 Speaker 2: Yeah. 02:15:57 Speaker 1: I just hope whatever comes out angle you know. I know one video that I know is out there is not great. 02:16:07 Speaker 2: It is not a good look for me. You know. 02:16:10 Speaker 3: It's like Antonio Brown, He's like releasing ship on steps. 02:16:14 Speaker 8: Well, he's doing it himself because right, he's crazy. 02:16:17 Speaker 1: Yeah, but you saw him and where was he at when he had pulled his dick out of the pool. 02:16:20 Speaker 2: That was wild. 02:16:21 Speaker 1: Yeah he pulled that. Looks like one of those slinkies. Dude, he just kept pull that thing. 02:16:25 Speaker 8: Snapchat with one of his baby mamas and the and yeah, the baby mama talks, She's like this is awful. 02:16:32 Speaker 3: Like this, Mike, I don't want to. 02:16:35 Speaker 2: Again. 02:16:36 Speaker 8: The people who released mine were doing it not Hey look at Dave, we like him. They were done to get me, like to work to fuck with him and those people scumbags because you're not. The damage is definitely more risky for the female who is not proving, like me, what outside maybe Silvana killing me, then maybe you get you away, but like. 02:16:58 Speaker 2: It's knocking up fun is a dangerous r with that. 02:17:02 Speaker 8: But you're not gonna get me like I'm are out there, it's only hurting the girls. So I don't know why people do that and hopefully never have a deal with. 02:17:12 Speaker 3: Good luck out there. I hope it comes out smooth. What else do we have? 02:17:17 Speaker 8: Boys talk about Barstool National, Yeah, we. 02:17:21 Speaker 2: Can talk about Michigan. When you get back. 02:17:22 Speaker 5: Are we able to discuss the barstal bar? 02:17:24 Speaker 3: Yeah, we able to discuss the barcel bar coming out of Nasville. When's that thing opening up? 02:17:28 Speaker 8: You really don't know, man, I thought it was gonna be this past fall. 02:17:33 Speaker 2: Let me ask awesome, it was going to come. 02:17:38 Speaker 3: Out during the SEC. 02:17:42 Speaker 8: This year, so like March or something. I think that'll be sick dude. 02:17:47 Speaker 3: And you guys are in a good spot, too, great spot, right, Yeah, you guys are a really good spot right next to the pedestrian bridge. 02:17:53 Speaker 8: Yeah, old Joe's crabsheck, I'll find out, you know Gas? Well, guess no, the guy who's open it right, like, maybe Gas is? 02:18:04 Speaker 3: Do I give Gas too much credit for what being so high on the totem pole. 02:18:10 Speaker 8: No, he's high, but he's he's like, he's not putting in. 02:18:15 Speaker 3: He's he was our scalt. He was our scalt and he is was he standing on the table for us during the negotiation. 02:18:24 Speaker 2: He didn't have to. 02:18:26 Speaker 11: I appreciate that. Can you say that into the mic? Yeah, well you knew that you guys got a big deal. I just wanted to hear, you know, for the masses watching right now? 02:18:37 Speaker 3: We do we? I I kind of remember the hypothetical we were talking about, because we were arguing over hypothetical, it wasn't right. 02:18:43 Speaker 2: I don't remember what the hypothetical was because. 02:18:46 Speaker 3: I thought we had something figured out and then I felt like the goalpost got moved last. 02:18:49 Speaker 8: Minute, like extra months. It was like it was over the production money. Yeah, you guys threw in the extra month thing. That last conversation when we were all like, okay, yeah, I think we got a deal, and then you or Erica was like, I was making that thing will start up in February when your contract. 02:19:04 Speaker 3: That's what it was. That was hypothetical. We were on the phone. I go I was like, Dave, why would we sign a contract if it's not gonna start until February. 02:19:12 Speaker 2: We're taking ourselves off the market. 02:19:13 Speaker 3: And You're like, I still think there would be big benefit, you know, butting. 02:19:16 Speaker 2: Up with us contracts is already signed. No, not yet. 02:19:20 Speaker 3: No, it wasn't. 02:19:20 Speaker 8: No, we had to We weren't starting the contract till after because football, for gambling in for you guys, is the biggest season. So we weren't gonna let you cut said I want three football seasons, correct, because if we went to the end you would still have another two football We were we didn't want to lose the football season by doing you early. 02:19:42 Speaker 3: Right, But the contract on the phone email structured differently. When Erica wrote up the email to clarify it all, that's what it made more sense. And then when we got on the phone to talk about we talked over that hypothetical because it was like, the contract will start when this deal is up, and it's like, why would we sign a contract right now? 02:19:59 Speaker 8: W or another way to look at it is it was like a two year, three month or whatever contract because we started paying you the new money I think right away right away. 02:20:09 Speaker 3: But that was that was negotiating. Yeah, that was like, that was the part. We're on the phone, it's like, well, we won't start the deal until your contract ends. It's like, well, why would I Why would we sign something that locks us up right now if we're not even going to see the new money until February? 02:20:21 Speaker 2: Right? That wasn't the hypothetical. 02:20:23 Speaker 3: That was because you were talking about how beneficial it would still be even if you guys didn't sell you. Oh, that was the hypothetic. We were talking about how you almost about how we would still stand up at the. 02:20:32 Speaker 8: Bus that or without that, that was the hypothetical because we had already agreed what we're doing. But it was like, because I go, why would we we would have been dumb to sign and not see new money until February and you're like not necessarily correct, and you're like, I still think there's benefit, like you guys still be getting boosted, blah. 02:20:49 Speaker 2: Blah blah, rout correct. 02:20:51 Speaker 8: That was the hypothetical because you would already we are already doing it the way we described it was. If we weren't doing it that way, yeah, So then we are arguing for like an hour because I'm like, there's benefits doing it because you're going to be promoting on Barcel. You'll be bigger, so it's like, yes, it benefits you and you're like, well, why would we do if we don't have to? But we had already decided we were doing it one way, So if we weren't doing it thating. 02:21:14 Speaker 3: My argument was why would we sign now and not see any of the new money until our deal is up February when we could be standing at the show and like what we were talking about. 02:21:25 Speaker 8: Was like, well you're already you'll be it and this is not just with you any negotiation. I think Barcel brings to the talent help as well. Like you get promoted across our network. So if if you're promoting bet the Boston, it's being promoted on Barcel. 02:21:42 Speaker 2: That helps you guys as well. 02:21:44 Speaker 1: So yeah, that's the biggest selling point to decide with Barcelol's So you guys say, hey, well put gasoline on your fire, right, Yeah. 02:21:49 Speaker 8: But we were arguing. He's like, well, why would we do that? But we weren't. We had already agreed, you guys were Basically we extended the initial thing which I deal. We just want to Actually the original argument or discussion point which I brought in. 02:22:05 Speaker 2: Is because we want to sign you. 02:22:08 Speaker 8: It's we want to sign you before football season because we didn't want to promote a ton of gambling and then have you go, hey, stop DraftKings fan to a look, we're gambling, and we just we got you guys for one gambling season that we can't monetize because brand new basically, and then you just use it to build up your price big times. It's like, let's get the deal done before that, then we can promote it happily and go through, but we don't want to if you sign a two year deal or I forget three year deal, we don't want to lose a football season. Like we are still under contract for this football season that just happened. So if we're signing you for two years, we still want those two future football seasons. We don't want to lose one because we cut the contract short. That is what like we're saying now we agree with like we'll just essentially rip the contract up, start over instead of saying a two year contract is a two year plus football so two point four year contract. 02:23:00 Speaker 2: That's essentially what we did. 02:23:02 Speaker 8: And then it was just a hypothetical if we weren't doing the two point four if we're just doing the two, like should you guys even do like football? And I'm like yeah, because we're gonna promote you, Like, well, we're not getting paid for it yet. 02:23:14 Speaker 3: That was kind of what it was. But also because we were going into the negotiation, you're wanting to get something done before football season started, correct, That's what made me think the two year deal would start when we got the new contract sign And then the last conversation was all right, this will start after the. 02:23:28 Speaker 2: Correct and we were going back it had nothing to do with money. 02:23:31 Speaker 3: And then it was like why would we sign something, And then it was like, okay, you. 02:23:36 Speaker 2: Said move the goalpost. 02:23:38 Speaker 8: Correct, Yeah, and that's when so you thought we were doing it for a different reason. We were doing it to make sure we got three football seasons with you. You thought we were trying to save money for like four months basically, yes, right, right, so it's like, no, we'll we'll like no. 02:23:51 Speaker 3: Honor the rest of your deal, but we want to sign like we're gonna get you for the future, right because for us ripping when we say we'll start the contract instantly and we're doing two years to us, that means you hit the market. 02:24:04 Speaker 2: Right before football year three or whatever it is. 02:24:08 Speaker 8: When if we didn't rip it up and start early, you like we wanted whenever the contract ends. We want to be right when football ends. That's that's and we want to keep it on that schedule. So that's what we did. And then we were just going and we agreed on that, like yeah, So it was it was the wording because like, yeah, we'll start your new pay rate, but the actual new contract doesn't start till it would have started anyways, and then we just looked at I think it's a whatever, it's a two point four month contract. 02:24:38 Speaker 2: Then we just started arguing about that year contract. 02:24:41 Speaker 8: Yeah, two years four month contract. Yes, And I mean we argued about this for an hour. We couldn't like it would really be saying. I'd be at camp and I get like a and we're about a phone call the deal was done and we'd be winding down. I mean, well, I got one last thing to say about that. I wasn't coming in there aggressive like that. Yeah, we're like going back. It was like done. 02:25:01 Speaker 3: Because it was the hypothetical we were talking about. All of that stuff was correct. The hypothetical was if there was no that new pay rates started correct. It was like, no, I still think you would benefit even if you locked in for the future. I'm like, no, we wouldn't riach. We probably would, but also we would we'd be able to have the football season two basically put together a you know, uh, like a resume what something could look like to somebody else, right, And that's what you weren't wanting to pay us on in the first That was it. 02:25:27 Speaker 8: It's like, if you didn't get the pay raise, would there be benefit for those form Yeah, and we were going back and forth and we both at time be like, just so we both understand, we've already would deal. 02:25:37 Speaker 2: Then we would laugh and then we'd be like. 02:25:39 Speaker 3: But also. 02:25:43 Speaker 2: Yeah i'd done Yeah, me too, I know. Yeah, it is it's it's been awesome. 02:25:48 Speaker 1: Jim Harball announced what this week coming back. For those who are listening, now, this is what we get the Super Bowl. How do you feel about Harball coming back? 02:25:56 Speaker 4: Now? 02:25:58 Speaker 2: That's awesome. 02:25:58 Speaker 1: But well, last time you sat in that chair, you asked me do you think Hardball should be fired? 02:26:04 Speaker 2: And I said, you also tweeted Arbas should be gone. 02:26:06 Speaker 1: Yeah, because we are both in agreement. 02:26:08 Speaker 2: That leadings to go. 02:26:08 Speaker 8: You lead from the front wheel Now you gotta lead from the front. 02:26:12 Speaker 3: You gotta lead. 02:26:13 Speaker 2: From the front. 02:26:14 Speaker 8: As Michigan men, you can't accept what was happening there some people, and I remember getting a fight with the school. 02:26:20 Speaker 2: It was after we lost. 02:26:22 Speaker 8: Like I don't know, sixty to twenty or something, and I was at the game and people are like, they tried hard, we had a good season. 02:26:28 Speaker 2: The lost to Ohio. 02:26:29 Speaker 8: I'm like, no, no, no, this isn't Nebraska, this isn't some second rate school. This is Michigan where you beat Ohives State you you we are excellent. 02:26:38 Speaker 2: Don't accept this. Oh we stayed. 02:26:41 Speaker 8: Maybe it was the game on the bad spot on fourth down. I don't remember. It's like being close to Michigan. That's what Michigan is. 02:26:48 Speaker 2: We want you want natties, but you lay down every opportunity you get to it. 02:26:54 Speaker 1: Hey, buddy, you don't need to listen. You don't need to be talking about getting to natties like you. Guys haven't sift natty since the New Century Story Bull. 02:27:01 Speaker 8: Sniffed the naddy the last time. At the same time we've split, we were we were two games away. Oh wow, we we were one one is away from being yeah, the. 02:27:10 Speaker 3: Way ten games away. Everybody's have said, if you don't win. 02:27:12 Speaker 1: We played bad against TCU and we barely lost. We played bad. We lost that game more than. 02:27:18 Speaker 2: Defend ourselves to you. 02:27:19 Speaker 3: You trust me, I know about playing bad and ended up still barely lose. 02:27:23 Speaker 8: For a guy who's Big ten, Big ten, he's the fastest to start attacking Big ten members. 02:27:27 Speaker 1: He will will takes the porting way approach where he's like, I don't want to wanted. 02:27:31 Speaker 2: To see as I said when it happened, if. 02:27:33 Speaker 8: They embarrassed, and it was fucking embarrassing, and it wasn't embarrassing. 02:27:37 Speaker 2: It was a phenomenal game. Go and TCU gets dog walked in the Natty. 02:27:42 Speaker 3: Better team, but bet're a better team than TCU. 02:27:45 Speaker 2: We just lost. 02:27:45 Speaker 8: Wait wait, buddy, we had two pick sixes and a fumble games game. But what the people like you? This this a circular thing, all right, tc you beat us? Fine, well, Ohio State should have beaten Iowa. I mean, George, they were a missfield goal. We dog walked Ohio State. So what does that mean? Each game is this individual entity. It's like rough papper scissors. There's always want to beat another. I understand the losing metric. I get those games. 02:28:12 Speaker 3: I do. I've done it for years now with nebrass, not this last year. I get the thinking. I get the spin zone you bring up. 02:28:17 Speaker 13: Ah. 02:28:17 Speaker 8: No, that's no comparison between Nebraska Michigan right now arguably is positioned as well as any college football team in America. 02:28:26 Speaker 3: No they're not. No, they're not getting back. 02:28:29 Speaker 1: Your whole line came back. 02:28:31 Speaker 3: Yeah, they came. 02:28:32 Speaker 13: Back this past year, and you guys couldn't fucking win the You guys couldn't make the push for the national title. We did make a push for the national We were in the nets play You've been the name might not lay down? We gotta go. 02:28:53 Speaker 3: We gotta go through the bullshit to get back to the top of daste of sweet Nectar. But we're in the system. Let me tell you this. 02:28:58 Speaker 8: Will if you said, hey, you're gonna uh make it to the national title, uh, semi finally gonna be in the in the final for the next two years, you would give a kidney. 02:29:08 Speaker 2: You would give a kidney, would brother? You might give about. 02:29:12 Speaker 1: We're working there no latest stand on to you all about natties. You should be all about we have five natties. 02:29:19 Speaker 2: I do have a leg. 02:29:19 Speaker 8: But we're building. We are building to where are we gonna be? You guys are topped out. 02:29:24 Speaker 3: How we talked to you guys went to the You guys went to the playoff twice and you you don't even have a top. 02:29:28 Speaker 1: Buddy, We had all of our best players come back and we had the best transfer portal class this year. 02:29:33 Speaker 3: Didn't look at it. 02:29:34 Speaker 1: We were number one, number one, we had number one or the most amount of there. 02:29:38 Speaker 8: It is number one or we we The first year we made the playoff, we lost by what thirty Last year we were one kick away where we're still moving up. 02:29:47 Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, yeah, yeah, you didn't make it. Didn't make it where. 02:29:52 Speaker 8: To the final the final game when we could have been Listen, I. 02:29:58 Speaker 1: Have there's not there's no reasoning and reasoning with. There's no reason and reasoning with an unreasonable man. 02:30:05 Speaker 2: He is he is, he is in. 02:30:06 Speaker 8: The clippers right now, and that's what it is. It's like since Nebraska's things, he's gonna try to pull the entire conference again. No, I try to push the conference for record. 02:30:14 Speaker 3: That's on record. 02:30:16 Speaker 1: But the minute from her heart truck, you folded, you folded along, it doesn't. 02:30:20 Speaker 8: The sex stories that you guys are joke. I'm embarrassed. 02:30:23 Speaker 2: No, that's not true. 02:30:24 Speaker 3: Pull up your phone. I just said, what's going on right now? I told you to do something because you're like to lead from the front. I wanted to leave from the front. Do something because you're in the front and I was yelling. 02:30:37 Speaker 8: I didn't. I didn't see you during the game at all. I told you I was sitting You're in the fifty. 02:30:41 Speaker 1: Airline and literally we would we would walk past Michigan Stiland every single time we passed the bay, looking like hey we we had an interview Portnoy during this. 02:30:48 Speaker 2: You know what's crazy. I saw my freshman year roommate. 02:30:52 Speaker 8: Oh really, I hadn't fucking talked to him since my freshman year. What's he doing? I don't know, but you just saw him. I was you guys shared norm Yes the bowl? Yeah, if he has the bowl. Guy like brought me down to the fifty yard line. They were super nice. It's like, I can't wear any of the march. Gave me like my own jersey, all this shit. But he when I did that, he was like in the cross like Dave Dave. I looked as like fucking Billy. 02:31:13 Speaker 2: Yeah right now, Hardball's come back. Their teams. 02:31:17 Speaker 8: I think the quarterback, though we didn't play great, I think he's gonna have a very big year. I think they are poised loaded. When does the playoff switch to sixteen. 02:31:26 Speaker 3: Twenty twenty four, so this next season no, so no one more year. 02:31:31 Speaker 1: If the four, which which Michigan will be in again, I agree. I think we go undefeated again. Georgia has a down year. 02:31:36 Speaker 2: Undefeated. 02:31:37 Speaker 3: You guys got a big game when turn you guys a game week, big game before the bust and Bowl, the bust and Bowl? Are you uh? And I ellen? 02:31:45 Speaker 2: What do you mean? 02:31:46 Speaker 3: What do I mean? 02:31:47 Speaker 2: What I mean? 02:31:47 Speaker 8: Explain your puck, your your checkbook, the recruits. Yeah, no, I don't need to do that. Why you do need to do that? 02:31:55 Speaker 2: You do that? 02:31:56 Speaker 8: Is that what you're insinuating? I asked you if you did it right, I'm not doing it and you said why so, well, you're you're an alum. What does that mean? Nebraska? You stink you need players money. 02:32:06 Speaker 3: We're getting players. 02:32:07 Speaker 2: But or not. 02:32:07 Speaker 3: We had a good we had a we had a good transfer portal year, and we also had I believe it is that what I believe a top twenty. I believe a top I'll say, top thirty, top thirty, recruit top which is very nice, and we hired matt Our. 02:32:20 Speaker 1: Recruiting class wasn't that great? 02:32:22 Speaker 2: Very nice? Top thirty. I don't care about that. 02:32:24 Speaker 13: You know. 02:32:25 Speaker 1: The winnings now we have the team to win. 02:32:27 Speaker 3: Now, we didn't have a good recruiting class. 02:32:28 Speaker 1: I don't think. I think we're maybe top fifteen. 02:32:31 Speaker 3: We did. 02:32:32 Speaker 8: We were better than Yes, better compaired to him in Nebraska. 02:32:36 Speaker 2: Were your top thirty? 02:32:38 Speaker 3: I know it's hey about it? A decade of losing. Yeah, you're terrible a figure. You gott figure out where the meter is. You gotta move it. 02:32:44 Speaker 8: This is in the nineties, and what is gonna make somebody go Nebraska? Matt rule, Yeah, Matt rules, Matt Rule. The guys like the guys like me. 02:32:51 Speaker 3: Yeah, Matt. I mean they have this platform with the guys, and the guys. 02:32:54 Speaker 2: Are squeezing your butt cheeks together. Matt rule. 02:32:57 Speaker 8: I've heard be like, don't come if you want money, We're do not have to play. Said, oh, let me tell you something. That's not what recruits want to hear. It depends on what kind of recruit it is. Yeah, the ones who can play, Those ones who can play, will you We were number seventeen one behind South Carolina JP. You know as well as anybody. It's about cold. What is this the overall recruit or live That's that's fucking that's that's a good recruiting class for the for the decade we've had. 02:33:22 Speaker 2: That's good. 02:33:23 Speaker 1: Man sucks. Yeah, we got there, they're staying there. Up and coming linebacker transferred to Michigan. No, no, that's not true at all. Guess what we just got to transfer from Georgia a linebacker. 02:33:34 Speaker 8: Who probably would have never played never maybe at Georgia. But guess what another man's tress, no man's treasure. 02:33:39 Speaker 1: Well up the transfer portal. 02:33:41 Speaker 8: I have actually a ton of respect for the history of Nebraska, which pains me to hear you say, looking us, we're top thirty. 02:33:49 Speaker 2: No no, no, that's a good point. 02:33:51 Speaker 3: We're just talking about No, no, no, that's that's your fucking shifting the narrative, although not always says we had. 02:33:56 Speaker 2: A top three you're getting you're you're saying recruited two guys. 02:34:00 Speaker 1: Number number two in the transfer portal, got him. 02:34:03 Speaker 8: You're you're saying, where trash because we've lost in the semi final game and you're you're champion in New York. You got your pump bombs up for a top thirty recruiting class. 02:34:15 Speaker 2: I don't got my pump. 02:34:17 Speaker 3: Don't we rewind the tape? If you have your pomp bombs though. No, I'm just saying that was a good recruiting year for the decade long of losing that we've had. 02:34:28 Speaker 8: Well, I mean Michigan was really down before they turned around these last two years. Right, Like before Michigan beat Ohio two years ago, I honestly would have said, I'll bet everything on Ohio, Like I didn't think we had. 02:34:42 Speaker 2: A shot to know you were calling for Hardball's head. 02:34:44 Speaker 3: Yeah, because on the front he needed time. 02:34:46 Speaker 2: We both we both did, and we both. 02:34:48 Speaker 1: Can say now, hey, we were wrong and he is the next boat scham Beckler, right, So people. 02:34:53 Speaker 8: Can do that, Like, I don't like the people who who turn around like I never said their Yeah, I wanted him gone. He was what there five six years and we're all in six verst and we weren't just losing, we were getting fucking smoke. So you're what you're saying is you're you're allowed to change your mind. I am somebody who has the intelligence to be like, if you provide me the facts and the information, I can admit I was wrong. 02:35:14 Speaker 3: Clearly the right move was. 02:35:16 Speaker 2: Made right, So all I was wrong, I don't know what do you want me? You're talking about how I changed my mind in certain situations. 02:35:21 Speaker 3: But you're basically admitting that it's okay to change your mind. 02:35:24 Speaker 2: Of course, yeah, or you're wrong. 02:35:27 Speaker 3: Yes, he said he's talking about jumping ship on the Big ten hill. 02:35:29 Speaker 1: I know what he's saying. 02:35:30 Speaker 3: What are you saying he's talking about He's coming at me for jumping ship on the Big ten. 02:35:33 Speaker 2: I'm not saying I jumped ship on the Big ten. 02:35:35 Speaker 1: Jump with a big chest. And you do you did do that? 02:35:37 Speaker 8: You there was a part of you who liked the fact that we lost. No, no, I want I wanted. 02:35:44 Speaker 1: I wanted Ohio State to be Georgia. 02:35:46 Speaker 2: We know I wanted them to be Georgia. You guys to play Georgia because you guys needed to right that wrong man, that truffect. We would have won that game too. 02:35:54 Speaker 8: You see, I don't right the people just like me, we're all would should have could have. 02:35:57 Speaker 2: Guys. 02:35:58 Speaker 1: No, we're not in the same boat. We're saying the same narrative, but we're in up like you're in a rowbot right now, trying to. 02:36:04 Speaker 3: Get to the what we're doing. We're at that part of our hero stay. We're gonna We're gonna come back. We got our guy. 02:36:10 Speaker 8: Into the papers, lost the Matt Room coaching eighteen in one season. It's like, oh, we could have got undefeated. And you're sitting there on like a two win fucking Saints team. You're like, wow, that Week two game, we could have would have shut up. I mean, they're very if weren't rarefied there, we're playing for Nasville. 02:36:24 Speaker 3: We're not far off. We're not first round. Nebraska's not far from Michigan. 02:36:28 Speaker 1: Nobuddy, buddy. We won by thirty one points last game. 02:36:31 Speaker 3: That was last game. What about two years ago? That was four years ago? Three last year and won that game was one. No, two years ago when we were the best three win team in the in collegetball. 02:36:41 Speaker 2: His that is not arguable. That is fact. 02:36:43 Speaker 8: This is the best three win teams. But is this exhausting for you? No? Because every year you have to defend arguably the worst team in college football. 02:36:50 Speaker 3: Because I know what's, I know what's I know it's going to be conceived all this. Yeah, dude, I just don't know the timing on it, but I know this, I got Nebraska's back. Every fucking year you have to take the heat. 02:37:01 Speaker 2: That's from the front. 02:37:02 Speaker 1: Hey, what was it? What was the statu you were telling me about? The Brest is the only team not to make up a Power five team to not make a bowl game in how many years? 02:37:09 Speaker 2: They made a bowl game? 02:37:10 Speaker 3: Last year? 02:37:10 Speaker 2: Busting bowl? 02:37:13 Speaker 1: I mean a bowl game. Let's say, like, like that's sponsored by like a Capital one or yeah, penstripe. 02:37:19 Speaker 3: Yeah, it hasn't been for a while. But we don't care to go bowling. We want to fucking chase national titles and we can't do that. I don't give a fucking we go. Listen, listen, we're trying to develop. We're trying to develop in the winter time. 02:37:29 Speaker 1: Five six years ago, and if David and I sat there intead, we're chasing national championships, we got last out of the fucking building. At that point, we were like, hey, let's work on a Big Ten championship. We have conquered the Big Ten championship. We are the kings of the Big Ten. Now we're looking for national titles. You guys, set those goals. You can put that up on a in your meeting room and be like, oh yeah, national title boys, everybody's got a shot right now. But right now, how about just win the Was it the East or the West? Here's in the West. Just win the West. People have disagreed with me on this. Michigan. 02:37:58 Speaker 8: Yeah, the more success you have, obviously you want to get you want to win the whole thing. Michigan's new round of success. We're not there yet. Like, I'm very happy with that season. It sucked the way it ended. But always Michigan going undefeated in the Big Ten and beating Ohio State in a game like that is always going to be a successful season in Michigan. It is that game that matters that much. They're both undefeated, you stomp on them. People are going to be happy with this season. They are You guys don't really have a rival like that. But it changes. 02:38:28 Speaker 2: It's not right. 02:38:29 Speaker 8: So like Auburn Alabama, if they're both undefeated and they're playing the Iron Bowl, whoever wins that game, the rest is definitely gravy. I don't care how many Alabama titles they have. You beat Auburn, you're both undefeated in that game. That's a good season for that that team. Things will change with the sixteen team playoff, too, but there's so few teams to get to the final four. 02:38:52 Speaker 2: That's a fucking big accomplishment. Yeah, you should be proud of that. 02:38:55 Speaker 3: But again it's like we need Michigan to win to help represent the big. 02:38:59 Speaker 1: Ten of jumping ship right away, you should I'm not one direction. 02:39:03 Speaker 2: All I said Ship. 02:39:04 Speaker 3: All I said from the beginning was I need accountability for it's all you guys. 02:39:08 Speaker 8: If we can't put a good product. You were you were in my you were my grill MIXX in the second quarter. No, I was second quarter. Already do something anything? 02:39:20 Speaker 2: What is that? 02:39:21 Speaker 3: So you're you're saying you never take shots at me. It'll be mid game on the brask and you'll be, hey, what's going on? My lights are out? My light's road. You know what I'm saying. 02:39:29 Speaker 2: You lose power. Miami is storm city. 02:39:31 Speaker 8: Then the wind coming in there, and I will quote money your ship though in a lowly meaningless game, not not the playoffs. The stakes are high in my world, they're low in your world. 02:39:43 Speaker 3: No, that's not true. 02:39:44 Speaker 2: Let me let me let me quote Division two teams. 02:39:48 Speaker 3: Who we lost in the Division two world Northwestern the're D one, brother, you haven't lost any D two teams. 02:39:53 Speaker 2: And that again, and you've said it. 02:39:54 Speaker 1: That was on I know, but I'm not fighting that battle right now. 02:39:58 Speaker 3: Will your team? What do you think we are? And let me quote Moneyball by the way, I'll hang on. I'm gonna let me quote Moneyball. If you don't win your last game, it doesn't even matter. We won our last game. 02:40:14 Speaker 8: I just gave you a direct quote slash story to con Well. I mean I felt like, literally told you if you go ten and all and beat Ohio State, you had a great season. 02:40:24 Speaker 2: So yes, it matters because that's the Georgia Southern. 02:40:29 Speaker 3: I think hey looked them up. I think they're done. Georgia. 02:40:34 Speaker 4: Second game you. 02:40:35 Speaker 3: Lost to a Georgia college football team. Were are they are? We didn't get beat they are d one, but recently I think they went up. But that's a Georgia college football team. We didn't lose to them by like thirty like somebody did. 02:40:51 Speaker 8: I'm gonna tell you right now, I think when you're head coach is saying don't come here if you're interests in money, that's not good. 02:40:57 Speaker 3: Listen, don't worry about what kind of pockets we got. 02:40:59 Speaker 2: We got deep put I don't think you do. 02:41:01 Speaker 1: I know, Listen, this is where I do have to agree with will Nebraska has they've got money there? Why dude, Yeah, yeah, they're alumni rollers. 02:41:09 Speaker 2: I thought farming was like down and ship. 02:41:11 Speaker 9: Have you? 02:41:11 Speaker 1: Have you donated to Michigan? 02:41:13 Speaker 2: No, they asked me a lot. 02:41:14 Speaker 3: Did they ask you a lot? No? You're not here. 02:41:16 Speaker 1: My My biggest thing is why do they not use you as a vessel? I think it's ridiculous. And I actually asked somebody on Michigan. 02:41:22 Speaker 3: I don't ask them. We didn't get to bring the bus. We didn't get to bring the bus to Michigan because they don't want association with Dave Bortnoy. 02:41:28 Speaker 2: That's what I heard. 02:41:30 Speaker 8: I've sat next to Ward to Manual literally at the Big Ten Basketball Championship, sat next to you inviting me as a guest, probably because I ain't cutting the checks. 02:41:40 Speaker 3: Would you cut a check? 02:41:41 Speaker 2: I don't know you anything. 02:41:42 Speaker 1: It's worth listen, it's worth it. 02:41:44 Speaker 3: I said they'd have to wear. 02:41:45 Speaker 2: My name on the jersey though, like that, that's my guy? Put your Twitter name. I don't know. 02:41:53 Speaker 3: It's tough. 02:41:54 Speaker 8: Here's the thing here, here's my conflict. Michigan has a shipload of money. It's like, I give why why should they need the alum who have paid a shif ton to go there, Like to me as a normal pedestrian student, when I signed to go to Michigan and decided part of the deal is like I went there because they got good sports. I'm a sports guy likes doing it. The school is fucking charges a trillion dollars to go there. Where's all the fucking money, like so they can make more? That's my inherent issue. Why does it fall back on alumni when they should do it? 02:42:29 Speaker 1: So why don't you go to Michigan and say, I'll donate money, but I want to know exactly where it goes. 02:42:34 Speaker 8: And you have to show me, like the football team you're talking. 02:42:38 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like that's obviously what we're like if you and I were to donate, that's where we would put our money. 02:42:42 Speaker 8: I want to be I said that I'd want like I'd want to be in a like a round table, like studying film. 02:42:48 Speaker 2: Be like, go get that guy. I don't know that. 02:42:50 Speaker 8: I just want them spending my money without I maybe call a play or two. 02:42:54 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure you call it play like I guess Nebraska next year. 02:42:57 Speaker 8: Well, yeah, like a real play, like a real and it really got matters like the first play the game against the hostate that would it have to be you of the open full playbook or. 02:43:05 Speaker 3: They give you four bank on. 02:43:07 Speaker 8: There's a company that what's the fucking name of It's a clothing company who does a lot that reaches out a decent amount. But they did and they do it the same with Dana Wisconsin. They have you been asked? 02:43:19 Speaker 2: Yeah? 02:43:19 Speaker 8: Yeah, so I think they pay attention clearly to who is starting to get money and who can help and NIL is going to be important. But I haven't figured out why Michigan doesn't have unlimited money to begin with to give to these kids. 02:43:35 Speaker 1: They do, and Michigan, Michigan owns like eighty five percent of. 02:43:38 Speaker 2: Ann Arbor, right, they do through collectives. 02:43:41 Speaker 3: They all the boosters they put together those collectives in that why do you even need boosters? Well that's the the collective is the middleman that ends up paying all the NIL money. 02:43:48 Speaker 8: Maybe because it's a state school. Yeah, that Michigan was the first school to start that. They did like a GoFundMe the one the one more year fund was supposed is what helped kept keep but it was only like one hundred grand in there, right, Zach Zentter and Trevor Kinggan. 02:44:06 Speaker 2: It's not a ton of money like an is gonna get like eighty percent of that. 02:44:10 Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it is to a college kid. 02:44:13 Speaker 8: Is it to like a top recruit like I'm seeing guys. I feel like guys are getting Like I heard that the I see his drought is out for like five millions to stay. Fuck he didn't, but I wouldn't either. If you're show, you're gonna be a top ten pick. 02:44:26 Speaker 3: Right. 02:44:27 Speaker 2: That's just a lot of money. 02:44:28 Speaker 1: But Ohio State really just doesn't produce quarterbacks like that. Who's buddy from Chicago justin Fields? He's good. No, he's like he's their best hope right now he's running but all the running back Oh, that's I hope. Lamar Jackson doesn't hear you say that he's a fan of the Pod. 02:44:45 Speaker 8: Well, uh, Lamar's running back though, Oh I don't know. I can't he I mean he's a quarterback who could run the ball really well. I would go on that he's Mike Thick. They're both Mike Thick. 02:44:58 Speaker 3: Like he's got weapons as legs, dude, but he's still a quarterback. 02:45:01 Speaker 12: He's still if I would rather play a quarterback who I wanted to run before throw, And I would rather you a defensive player. 02:45:16 Speaker 2: Yes, you'd rather be my favorite team. 02:45:17 Speaker 3: You'd rather play like a Lamar Jackson than Peyton or Joe Flacco. 02:45:21 Speaker 8: Joe Flacco, Yeah, I mean Flacco winning Prime? 02:45:27 Speaker 2: Yeah? Maybe? 02:45:27 Speaker 1: Yes, well Rogers, I can run a little bit, but Brady Tom Brady five years ago. 02:45:36 Speaker 8: Yeah, I'd rather I'd rather play Lamar, Like I think, I think you can game plan in two What seater are you sitting in? Coach, defensive coordinator, defensive coordinator? Like, I think if you can make and I think that's what's happened to Lamar in the playoffs. I think if you can make him pull the ball down and run, you can beat him. 02:45:52 Speaker 2: And that's not just a Lamar thing. I think that. 02:45:55 Speaker 8: Like you know who I think is a great example because you can fucking run. Is Josh Allen can fucking run, But I don't run. Motherfuckers. Oh yeah, but I think he's all through them. I always think he's passed first. I think Lamar is run first, and I think that's very hard as to win the super Bowl that way. 02:46:12 Speaker 3: As a coordinator, I can see where you're coming from there, like from you know, just playing against like Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning or some of these cats. 02:46:18 Speaker 2: But like, as a. 02:46:20 Speaker 3: Defensive player out there, you'd rather play a fucking pocket passer. Yeah, and I so. 02:46:25 Speaker 2: What is a linebacker? 02:46:26 Speaker 8: Maybe not as a deep somebody who's watching like the games and like a fan, I feel like Lamar is gonna put up huge, huge, huge numbers against the lesser half of the league, those striots. 02:46:39 Speaker 2: Oh that's a cheap shot. 02:46:40 Speaker 8: But as the competition goes in the playoffs and you start playing the elite teams in the league, that tends to stop working. 02:46:50 Speaker 2: Yeah. 02:46:50 Speaker 1: Coaching really plays a huge factor. 02:46:52 Speaker 8: Yeah, and even like who who who Baltimore just beat I'm losing, I mean lose to angles, spangles like teams like Baltimore consistently, even though they lost that game. They get physical and they muck it up in defenses against like running quarterbacks. I feel like they make it really. I mean, as Lamar won what's in one playoff game? 02:47:15 Speaker 2: I don't think he has he won. Yeah, they beat us, it beat us yeah. 02:47:22 Speaker 8: Yeah, and he's been like MVP during the regular season. 02:47:27 Speaker 3: Yeah, but you can definitely make the argument that they win that game against the Bengals if they had Lamar a healthy. 02:47:33 Speaker 8: Lamar, Yeah, maybe, well, I mean that last play. 02:47:39 Speaker 3: I mean they put up they put up. 02:47:40 Speaker 8: By the way, I like Lamar, Like, they didn't score over seventeen points the rest. 02:47:45 Speaker 2: Of the year, but they weren't doing great with him either this year. I don't know. I just it. 02:47:53 Speaker 8: The running has any true running quarterback Like I'm talking about I say running, I mean run first. 02:48:00 Speaker 2: I think Lamar is the only one likes that run around. But yeah, you're right, Lamar is probably the. 02:48:04 Speaker 1: Only one that if you were to make an argument he's run first. 02:48:07 Speaker 2: Then Vic was that way. Vic was that way the right right now? Who is there anybody else like that right now? 02:48:16 Speaker 10: Kyler Murray definitely, Kaepernick did come closer. Kyler, Yeah, Kyler he was I don't know what he was this year. Geld hurts those first. He's got a around. 02:48:29 Speaker 8: Him, but he but he runs the rock too, like his you know at the on the on the app and stuff. 02:48:35 Speaker 2: It's like over under seventy eighty yards. Like I just, I don't know. I'm not worried about Lamar beating. 02:48:40 Speaker 1: Me with I'm more worried about how we get your relationship better with Michigan so that we can I don't think it's as bad as Will say. 02:48:49 Speaker 3: I thought. 02:48:49 Speaker 2: I saw the email. 02:48:51 Speaker 8: It was like from one of the associate a d saying, we don't you know, we can't have this on campus because we don't affiliate with barstool. 02:48:58 Speaker 1: Was it Barstool or Dave? 02:49:00 Speaker 3: I think it was burst we we we we. 02:49:03 Speaker 1: The first time, he said, you said, Dave, and I I thought it was barstool. 02:49:06 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I believe it, but we we we toured their locker room like two years ago, like they But you know how the school is, you know, it is when you're in with the individual like individuals versus like the overall let's protect the brand are like, you know, this stuff could be interesting. 02:49:22 Speaker 8: So it's it's the football programmer's Michigan, Michigan. I bet, well, yeah that could be true. Michigan's kind of like a pussy school and a lot of respects. Well that may not help, but like it's my Nebraska. Like no, I like what I understand? 02:49:38 Speaker 2: What day? 02:49:38 Speaker 1: I understand what David like. 02:49:40 Speaker 2: Michigan with the COVID No, it was the worst. 02:49:42 Speaker 3: That's great. 02:49:43 Speaker 1: No, I don't agree. 02:49:44 Speaker 3: I think that's a pussy school. No, I don't think Michigan's a pussy school. I think stuff. There's what Dave saying, what do you think? I didn't go to the school for education. I was a general studies major. 02:49:54 Speaker 2: Michigan. Michigan. 02:49:57 Speaker 8: Michigan is an interesting state in general, but like do the Michigan was like the leaders of like not playing football during like COVID and ship. 02:50:04 Speaker 2: I think Nebraska wanted to play anywhere anytime, brother, like. 02:50:07 Speaker 8: Michigan was like no, no, no, like so and that wasn't coming. I don't think it front. That wasn't from Harball, that was from like the president of the school. I think so. They they're a kind of liberally wacky school. 02:50:19 Speaker 2: At times. 02:50:23 Speaker 8: They are I'm not touching it, and I'm like, dude, they are they definitely. 02:50:28 Speaker 2: I can understand why you would say that. But when we didn't know, I had a bad role in. 02:50:33 Speaker 1: The football team, like how do we get barstool like the Barstool College Football Show? How do we get there? You guys in the heart of ann Arbor. 02:50:42 Speaker 8: Yeah, campus, we were literally you could throw a baseball off the stadium. 02:50:46 Speaker 2: Are we bringing that. 02:50:47 Speaker 1: Thing out, okay, because I was anything wrong impression. I thought you guys weren't allowed. That's why we were allowed to bring the bush that we couldn't bring the bus. 02:50:54 Speaker 3: We worked it worked out better because I think barely off your A c L. 02:50:57 Speaker 2: Like, I think. 02:50:58 Speaker 8: Michigan is the closest we are to a stadium like it. It literally is across the street, like in. 02:51:03 Speaker 2: The tailgate area. 02:51:05 Speaker 8: It's it's if you're like the main entrance. I forget what straight but it I mean it couldn't be closer. 02:51:11 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's interesting. 02:51:13 Speaker 1: You guys gonna do that show there next year. 02:51:15 Speaker 8: I don't know what we're doing for live shows because the gambling shit, that's. 02:51:19 Speaker 2: Right, you like you mean we're gambling? 02:51:21 Speaker 8: Is at what that they they're coming out and out in new laws that says you can't be on a college campus. 02:51:28 Speaker 2: It's crazy if there's gambling involved. It just yeah, because we're on by pen. 02:51:36 Speaker 3: All that I'm going to be across the board with like or college. 02:51:39 Speaker 8: It has to be twenty one plus, which is like, how do you do that at like an outdoor pregame show? Will that affect college game day? Maybe this article has been written about it. Damn that's wild. Yeah, it's crazy, And I like our guy, J. J. McCarthy was like the first one to reach out to be like a Barstool athlete. 02:51:56 Speaker 2: JJ is a fan. 02:51:59 Speaker 1: I don't that fucking sucks, especially if it does that to college game day. 02:52:04 Speaker 2: Well, I'd be more concerned about us, frankly. 02:52:06 Speaker 9: Yeah. 02:52:07 Speaker 8: No, I mean, I'm glad you're so concerned about one of our chief rivals, but I am very concerned about that. 02:52:15 Speaker 1: I remember I remember being in college, like playing Notre Dame, and then it was the first night game and like like college game day was on campus, like right in the diag, and I thought, oh, that's fucking that's cool. I thought that was like a really cool thing. So that's where my head went on that obviously. Yeah, I'm worried about Barstool. Okay, that's as well. Appreciate it. I don't view you too as competitors. No, I clearly you were on their show during the Michigan game. 02:52:37 Speaker 3: During the Michigan game College. Yeah, actually I did. 02:52:40 Speaker 1: I said that to you like that night that your girl thought I was gay, and you're like, oh, it's great, and you kind of just walked away. Like you were eating. 02:52:48 Speaker 2: Well, what was I gonna say? You are kind of your own anentathy. It was in a way it can be good for us. 02:52:54 Speaker 1: It's absolutely is good for you guys. If I go on a college game Day show and they're like, what does Taylor Wan do it with college Game Day? 02:53:04 Speaker 4: Oh? 02:53:04 Speaker 8: I was talking about the things of the Mega cast. Yes, you know who I was with. No, I don't McAfee. No, I didn't know that. 02:53:12 Speaker 3: Oh yeah I was. 02:53:12 Speaker 1: It was literally Pat McAfee's Mega Cast. 02:53:16 Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I didn't know that. 02:53:17 Speaker 1: So but I'm saying, if I go on there and I do a good show, people are going to be like, oh, what else does this guy do? 02:53:24 Speaker 8: Oh? 02:53:24 Speaker 1: He does a podcast called Bust from the Boys. Who's the Bust from the Boys affiliated with or affiliate with for stool? And so that helps more eyes I go, and now. 02:53:32 Speaker 8: I go, you guys watching you guys headquarters, Like, what if we were doing let's say we're doing a live stream at that Michigan game, then is competitive? 02:53:42 Speaker 2: Yeah? I guess it would be. 02:53:44 Speaker 1: But then then you guys just asked me to do the live stream if you guys, and I would right, Yeah, totally fair. Yeah, because I think it's a good it's a good thing to be on if you can be on those like CBS's. 02:53:55 Speaker 2: Weirdly and weirdly, I don't view like brand the McFee. 02:54:00 Speaker 8: I don't view him nearly like I don't view the ESPN side of it, Like the only part I see competitive with him is more like the FanDuel Yeah, than which he can't promote on ESPN, I don't think anyways. 02:54:11 Speaker 2: Is their DraftKings. Is their DraftKings, Yeah, which, to be honest, he gets away with. 02:54:15 Speaker 8: That, right. 02:54:15 Speaker 1: That's kind of the same as that conversation we're talking about right now. Yeah, that's crazy to me that he that. I wonder how I finessed that he does. 02:54:22 Speaker 2: He does a great job. Yeah, his show, His show does great. 02:54:24 Speaker 1: And then you had a thing that came out when he signed that FanDuel deals, Like they could have. 02:54:27 Speaker 2: Got all of barstool for that at one point when. 02:54:29 Speaker 8: He was there, Yeah, one hundred million what they didn't offer. And at that point, yeah, McAfee was still there, McAfee and I McAfee wanted to do a radio show with me before he did. He wanted to do a radio show with you before. But after he left Barstool, we talked about him coming back to Barstool, and we were talking about contracts and all this, and he wanted to do a radio show with me, and then he he called me is like, you're not gonna match it. 02:55:01 Speaker 3: I don't blame you. 02:55:02 Speaker 2: FanDuel paid is paying me like a stupid amount of money. 02:55:06 Speaker 1: Is that the first FanDuel deal or this past one first? 02:55:10 Speaker 3: Yeah? 02:55:11 Speaker 1: So, ma'am so when in well, you were Penn, so you couldn't go just do it anyway? 02:55:16 Speaker 2: No, Yeah, we were already locked up. 02:55:18 Speaker 8: Yeah, and at that point that he was one of the first big ones, like Penn would never have paid what they pay. They still wuldn't pay, Like I mean, it's a it's a never ending cycle because they're renting Pat. 02:55:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, like they rent who's the other guy, the guy from Miami that uh. 02:55:35 Speaker 8: Lebatar? Like they rent LeBatard? Like I think he got thirty mil or something for his show. 02:55:39 Speaker 3: Do you ever look at deals like that and think about it from your situation, like in a way of you could have licensed and kind of just read. 02:55:48 Speaker 8: No, I mean, yeah, sure, I look at it a little bit. But we we set the market We've been good for everybody. And it's like, you know, I am sort of an honor you're contract type guy, and we're the first quarterback of First Picture. We just set the market like it was. I had no regrets when we did it, Like I was like, holy shit, that's a ton of money. So it's hard to look back and then be like I want different and. 02:56:17 Speaker 2: Just because you get caught comparing. 02:56:18 Speaker 8: Yeah, and we'll have our time, or I'll have my time if I wanted to in like two years, not naturally gambling, but other stuff. Be like, you know, he just it is what it is. I get it, but it I can't complain with ladies. 02:56:34 Speaker 1: Gentlemen, We interrupt this episode to bring you another ad read by Black Tucks. I would never you have a non compete loss, you're technically Oh really, I would never technically be a free agent. 02:58:35 Speaker 2: Not yes, but held. 02:58:37 Speaker 8: I think why I sold is like I'm never I don't even to be honest, I don't even know if I do. But I would never do that ever, I don't care how much my like if DraftKings, like we'll give you five. 02:58:51 Speaker 3: Hundred million for like a year, I still won't do it. 02:58:54 Speaker 2: Well, hold on, why not fox over? 02:58:57 Speaker 8: Like so many people have equity pen and I'll be like do this, do this, and I'm gonna directly compete against it. 02:59:04 Speaker 2: I just want very honorable, very honorable statement. 02:59:07 Speaker 8: There's plenty of other verticals I can go make money, but to just turn around and basically and even Jay who bought Barstool, he put his neck out there. Nobody knew how that was gonna work, like we were one a ton of people and it's just a big fuck you. 02:59:23 Speaker 2: There's no I wouldn't. 02:59:24 Speaker 3: I just won't do that. 02:59:25 Speaker 1: Not a big throw the first punch guy, You're throw the second punch. 02:59:29 Speaker 2: Guy, Yeah, big time. 02:59:30 Speaker 8: Like if Penn disassociate with me, like we cut him loose because he's a fucking scumback, different story happen. Yeah, but no, I plan on being with Penn and Barstool in some capacity doing gambling because I'm a natural gambler, like forever. 02:59:46 Speaker 3: And when you say some capacity, let's just say the rest of that capacity. What could you see yourself doing like going in with a different vertical somewhere else. 02:59:54 Speaker 2: That doesn't just like not being as in the day to day with contracts. 02:59:59 Speaker 1: And like you know, like truly an employee type of situation. 03:00:03 Speaker 2: Just I'm on my own world, doing my own like yeah, content. 03:00:06 Speaker 1: Yeah, because if the outside looking in, it seems like that's what you're doing, not knowing it's all having conversations. 03:00:12 Speaker 8: Yeah, Well, you're living in Miami all over the place, but you probably know that because I was heavily involved and like you guys, Yeah, so we have a lot of employees and I'm heavily involved in a lot of those. 03:00:23 Speaker 1: Yeah, so if our contracts up in two years, are our contracts up the same time yours is? I believe it's like the exact whatever you will not you will probably not be involved in. 03:00:31 Speaker 3: Our contract maybe somewhat. 03:00:33 Speaker 8: Like we have certain people and I don't know if you guys, you may have been that, Like there are content people who very much are like, as long as you're here, I'm comfortable because I know how you think and like what you go to bat for and things like that. So I don't and Pen's great and everybody they're like, I just know things aren't going to change drastically as long as you're like here and involved, so that capacity, I may be, Like I think Caleb in his contract has like, uh, if Dave leaves, my contract voids type thing. Yeah, So there may just there even may be someone else at some point had like if there's a dispute, like Dave gets to settle it, Like I'm fine with that type shit just because people I know you. Most people know how I'm gonna land on like shit before I even land. So it's like if they think they're right and they're like Dave will know him right, then they feel comfortable. So maybe something like that. I just the day to day traveling and stuff like that, probably like, yeah, no. 03:01:35 Speaker 1: There is there is definitely a thought of like when the contract Negostia was going down, Will and I would talk and I'd be like, well, how long is Dave's is that? Does that exceed Dave's not because we don't like barcel or anything. It's like we know what you put on paper on a consistent basis, Like this dude's been doing it for this long. He has the vision of what's going. Like you and Dan are probably two people we would lean on right and sort of in those. 03:01:57 Speaker 8: Types of situations, And I think it's natural. And again I trust and love Penn and Erica. In that conversation, I think people are just like, well, if you remove then who is who is Penn? Like it's just a company, Like you don't know exactly, It's like, so what changes what goes down? So I think there's just that layer there. But again I have a shift on a pen stock. Yeah, so I mean, I don't that. Also, I want that stock to do well, and some people say no, but I don't want to do anything that would hurt that because there's a lot of money involved there. 03:02:26 Speaker 2: Yeah. So I'm gonna need some of that stock soon. Yeah, well gotta get out of the NFL probably. 03:02:33 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a fair point. Should we do tear talk? 03:02:35 Speaker 2: Yeah, we'd love to do to your talk. 03:02:36 Speaker 1: Let's do tre How long have. 03:02:37 Speaker 2: We been going? Is this like, did you guys predo this like we're gonna beat Rogan's time? 03:02:42 Speaker 3: No, we just know we've we've keep been leaking into the two hour Yeah, yeah for a minute now for a while. 03:02:47 Speaker 1: I think the last one we just did rule he was in two hours over name. Wow, I've kind of been going that way. I feel like like these conversations just go well and it kind of ends when it ends. Was that a nerve wracking thing for you, thinking like, yeah, if you're short, there is a vibe of like, fuck man, but he's not enjoying. 03:03:04 Speaker 2: Ass when they say he's like that three. 03:03:06 Speaker 1: Ad on the show. But I was also like that would be my thought too. 03:03:09 Speaker 3: Very well. 03:03:10 Speaker 2: His studio is fucking trippy. 03:03:12 Speaker 8: It's super dark, he's got like the ceiling with like it looks like stars and shooting stars, like going by and it rolls Royce. What's that like the roofs of rolls Royce they have like oh yeah, yeah, yes, that's what it looks like. Yeah, So it just it went quick, and I didn't know what to expect a cigar. I was during a little whiskey. I don't drink whiskey anymore, not anymore. I just don't drink whiskey. But I thought it went quick. This guy's good. I've never noticed that. The way he pulls stuff up on the board. Uh yeah, I really didn't know what to expect. And it's funny because his producer, Jamie knew a ton about barstool. He's done all the research and he came before Joe. He's like he may talk all barstools, he may take talk no barseol. 03:03:57 Speaker 2: I really don't know. He just goes so. 03:04:00 Speaker 1: Yeah, he is really one of one. Yeah, the way he does stuff, do you guys grab dinner before or you got you just showed up? 03:04:06 Speaker 8: You guys met on the mic pretty much? Wow, give me a tour of this of his studio and then we went Yeah, how big is it huge? 03:04:15 Speaker 2: Huge? 03:04:16 Speaker 3: Think this warehouse way bigger? Okay, yeah, now we are in a warehouse though we moved up a little bit. Yeah, because he was in the shed the last time we were. Yeah, no, I see there either though. 03:04:29 Speaker 8: Yeah, that was that was that one was off generators at the shed. Way nicer than our first office, Like way nicer. This is our third office. Technically our first. 03:04:37 Speaker 2: Office was the grab A parking lot. Yeah. 03:04:39 Speaker 1: We used to steal power from the RV company right next door. 03:04:42 Speaker 2: Yeah my move. Yeah, we just overhead them and if. 03:04:45 Speaker 3: They didn't have them all plugged in, we'd plug one in for. 03:04:47 Speaker 2: The gym boss. 03:04:48 Speaker 8: He was there with us back left. Yeah, yeah, they would get mad. Train would come by. We were literally like the train. The railroad was like right there, and train would come by. We'd have to either pause or we'd just through it. 03:05:00 Speaker 2: Yeah, like hey there's a train. This adversity. Yeah. 03:05:02 Speaker 1: I like tier talk. So tier talk is basically our fans. We put them in a tear system. So tears talk is the category is going to be a pizza food chains. So your classics for pizza hout, your Dominoes, your blah blahlah blah and then we start at the bottom. 03:05:18 Speaker 2: Work your way. 03:05:18 Speaker 1: Upt'll leave a little anticipation for that tier one. Will we'll start with you. 03:05:23 Speaker 3: I think Dave's aware, are you weare of tiar talk? Yeah, I would love for Dave. 03:05:27 Speaker 2: To go first. All right, so just bottom. 03:05:29 Speaker 8: I'm not really aware of tiar talk, So go bottom. Yeah, you can definitely call the bluff there. Yeah, the top three three to two one. You can an honorable mention if you wait. But you're saying three is the worst? 03:05:39 Speaker 2: Three is your word place? It's all podium, it's all pod. 03:05:41 Speaker 8: So these are all on the Yeah, okay, we're at the Olympics, bronze, silver, gold, Now you can we can take five minutes here, we don't. 03:05:49 Speaker 1: This doesn't have to be a rush deal. 03:05:50 Speaker 2: And I can go first because I do feel like I have mine. 03:05:52 Speaker 1: Are you you like to play? Are you like a gambler? From a card standpoint? Like playing cards? 03:05:57 Speaker 8: I'm not as big as I am sports, but I certainly know cards. 03:06:00 Speaker 3: I've never gambled in sports ever. 03:06:03 Speaker 9: I know that. 03:06:05 Speaker 2: No. 03:06:05 Speaker 1: A lot of guys in the NFL, I they gamble in baseball and basketball. I've never really you can still gamble in other sports. Yeah, you can even gamble in college footbles. 03:06:11 Speaker 2: You can do that. Yeah, you can. 03:06:13 Speaker 1: You can do all that. You just can't gamble on the NFL if you play in the NFL or whatever. 03:06:16 Speaker 2: Sports you're in. What's interesting is you can. 03:06:18 Speaker 3: I feel like it's if you're an individual, say say say I'm you and I'm gambling on the March madness. Yeah, you probably can't promote whatever. 03:06:27 Speaker 1: No, definitely can't promote it, but you can not get in trouble. 03:06:31 Speaker 2: You can like do it like on your phone. 03:06:33 Speaker 1: Yeah, my tier Tuck will be all levels of nostalgia for me growing up. 03:06:39 Speaker 3: Oh so Borrows is one. 03:06:41 Speaker 2: Oh you guys have to pick from? No, this is just this is like a in the guidelines so. 03:06:46 Speaker 3: We can have same list. We can share a list. 03:06:48 Speaker 2: All that stuff. 03:06:49 Speaker 8: Yeah, because of that's case you want to go first the Nashville bar May May. 03:06:54 Speaker 2: Oh nice, that'll be awesome. 03:06:57 Speaker 1: An official announcement, official announcement, I. 03:07:00 Speaker 2: Mean it's as official. 03:07:01 Speaker 8: It's all always a moving target with openings, but it is scheduled for May ish. 03:07:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, you can that can be a barso bar coming to May. Do you guys have employees for that? Like, have you guys already will be people working in there, you know. 03:07:15 Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you. I'm saying, like, have you guys figured out boys and all day? 03:07:18 Speaker 8: You have a company that basically runs them for us and they do all of that. 03:07:21 Speaker 2: Yeah. 03:07:22 Speaker 1: I met a girl that actually lives in Nashville and she's the GM for the Arizona location. We were on our way to the Arizona Bowl. 03:07:28 Speaker 2: She was nice, she was like, you guys, you are right. Well, absolutely, we'll be out there. 03:07:32 Speaker 3: We'll be out there that full week doing all the doing all the stuff. 03:07:35 Speaker 8: I think that like mini golf, Mini golf. My mom's in that tournament. Really, my mom's coming with the Super Bowl week. Uh should be interesting. Yeah, Mini golf, the waste management's out there that week that which is a great golf. 03:07:47 Speaker 1: That is the closest thing to Happy Gilmore. Yeah, and the entire PGA. It's amazing, good time and it's grown so much. 03:07:54 Speaker 2: Yeah. 03:07:56 Speaker 1: But yeah, the reason why I asked about the employee thing is there's a bunch of people that I when I first got here, was all about going to bars and meeting people, right twenty one twenty two, So I've had a bunch of guys reach out to me and being like, hey, I can. 03:08:06 Speaker 8: You Yeah, I mean connect you with to the guy who's doing the hiring if you want to pass along, Like yeah, oh that would be awesome because there's a couple of a couple of ballers out there. 03:08:16 Speaker 2: Did you like video? You ready? 03:08:18 Speaker 8: I'm ready trying to get an overall list, I know. Just yeah, pizza chains, you know, I understand. 03:08:24 Speaker 3: But it's like my honorable mention, my tier talk for the pieces for my top pizza change nationally. It's got to be national, right. We can't go by because there's one in my state in Missouri. I would love to pick. 03:08:37 Speaker 2: But is it like off the wall Assuri, you know what name it is? You give it a bad review? Emos, Oh, it's horrible. 03:08:45 Speaker 1: No, it's that is incredibly impressive that he pulled out of his ass right now. 03:08:48 Speaker 3: And because he's probably what is it? What is it? 03:08:50 Speaker 2: I think that counts. 03:08:52 Speaker 3: That doesn't to me that that's the state. I feel like it's around just. 03:08:56 Speaker 8: Like there's enough of those. I don't know if there's a memo. I feel like there's there's enough of those that it would count. I would count that as a chain. It's very it's like Saint Louis, Missouri. Yeah, but it I feel like, what hurt it West, I feel like what hurts. 03:09:08 Speaker 3: You in that review is you're going and literally everyone is hyping it up so much. 03:09:12 Speaker 8: The they weren't hyping out No, they weren't their same as trash, and I won't like it. It's very unique. It's an acquire taste. That's the one with like the sauce in the middle. It tastes like like it's like you have, like, uh, the Velvida spray cheese in the middle. No, don't disrespect it like that Velvida spray cheese. Come on, come on, mom, I know you're putting knife and you're trying to like get No. 03:09:33 Speaker 2: I didn't know. 03:09:36 Speaker 8: You can't put that because I had one that was a Provolone mix. I believe I could have just been pulling that out of my ass too. 03:09:42 Speaker 1: But it's it's taste minor all nationwide and you. 03:09:45 Speaker 2: Get the toast of raols. Yeah to I did like to toast the raviolis. 03:09:49 Speaker 3: She was fire. But so do we get to count that? Sure, we get to count that. I'm actually gonna throw that in my honorable mention because it's not a national chain. H e most piece of a shout out to the Midwest, Shout out to Missouri, Saint Louis, Missouri Pizza, Saint Louis style, Emo's Pizza, the Toasta Rave, always a thin crust pizza, bacon and pepperoni. That ship is fire. My Tier three, my Tier three is going to be a big nostalgia pick for your boy. Five dollars Hot and ready. We would get it multiple times a week after school in the fool years. Yeah no, no, no, as a as a lifeguard, it would be our lunch break. Five dollars hot and ready's from pizza or from a from Little Caesars. 03:10:32 Speaker 1: So as I said, I think he said CS No, I said Little. 03:10:35 Speaker 2: Caess Oh that's that's what threw me off. 03:10:37 Speaker 8: Little I get you saying, uh yeah yeah Little Caesar's Pizza. 03:10:42 Speaker 3: Fire bro, I fucking love Little Caesars Pizza. Yes, brother, we'll get you on it one day. My Tier two is going to be you get them multiple in tears. 03:10:51 Speaker 1: He just did honorable mention. You're three Tier two. 03:10:54 Speaker 2: Got it? Okay? 03:10:56 Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, yeah, that's my That was my Tier three, My Tier two, and I've been going back and forth on this. The reason, you know what, fuck it, my teer two is gonna be Domino's Pizza. I feel like I still eat it to this day when I need something quick and it's like, hey, we're having a little pizza night, Like, let's get back to our roots. 03:11:16 Speaker 8: Let's get back to who we were as people back in the day. You'll order Dominoes like at home with the wife. Yeah that's gross, Yeah I will, brother, that's absolutely just a little the garlic. 03:11:27 Speaker 3: Butter like crust that they do, bro so more again, bacon, pepperoni. You guys see a theme here. I love Hawaiian as well. I love Supremes, I love all varieties of pizzas. But you get back to your roots. You're ordering Dominoes. And yes, as a matter of fact, I want to say, probably a month ago we got Dominoes. Disgusting. They kept up with the times, the mobile ab they're on it. They they they're on it. 03:11:47 Speaker 2: Brother to them, but that should only be eaten when there's no other. 03:11:51 Speaker 3: Can you can you can you tell Dave what the rules are in this well? 03:11:53 Speaker 1: In tier talk, usually the person speaking of them about their tier talk has the mic. 03:11:57 Speaker 2: And at the end. 03:11:59 Speaker 1: At the end, everybody in here, we'll give one word on how they feel about the individual's list. 03:12:04 Speaker 2: You know what, thank you all all about it? Am I good to. 03:12:07 Speaker 1: Continue to look know how you feel about Will's list. 03:12:09 Speaker 2: But we will get one word out of here and other rules. 03:12:12 Speaker 3: Okay, My tier one a joy to go to with a group of people and when you're playing, maybe after a baseball game, and it's like all your parents are like, hey, we're going to go here, and that Tier one is cee Ce's pizza. 03:12:25 Speaker 2: When you get to eat that buffet style pizza. You got the mac and. 03:12:28 Speaker 3: Cheese, you got the cinnamon rolls, you got all kinds of varieties of pizza. You get some quarters, get you puts dollars in the court machine and go play like that. It's like a little minichuck E cheese room, you know what I mean. But cee C's pizza that brings it home for me. All my tier talk for national chains on pizza. 03:12:43 Speaker 8: All right, now, we will go starting with bloss and we'll give one word thrilled, thrilled. 03:12:51 Speaker 2: Disappointed, one word to describe that list. Average, Who's him, Who's awesome? 03:13:04 Speaker 9: Young? 03:13:08 Speaker 2: You want it or you want me to go almost gross. That's tough. That's tough. 03:13:15 Speaker 8: All right, well wait we'll wait till all these are done. Nostalgic also one word infinated gross nostalgic. Yeah, it's not it's not nostalgia. You still get dominoes. 03:13:29 Speaker 2: Well that's just when you want to remind yourself where you came from. 03:13:32 Speaker 11: All right, you get emosh, boy, can't they're not out here. 03:13:37 Speaker 3: But when I do go home, emos and hoa Chinese food fire. 03:13:41 Speaker 2: Those are the hitters. 03:13:42 Speaker 3: When you visit onte one day, I'll take you around. 03:13:47 Speaker 1: My honorable mention is going to go to Hungry Howies go to Hungry howeys you order it? You look at the add ons, you can possibly at alpix. Everyone's gonnaok at the cheese, They're going the pepperoni, all the other stuff. But one add on that I always enjoyed was the garlic crust they would put around the corner and add it just a little bit of fun things. Everybody knows listen to this podcast, knows your boys love garlic. That is a big one for me. But it is just an honorable mention. My Tier three is a place only when my father and mother got a raise. We would go to this spot and I would get the number one thing, the famous thing on their list, which is also my favorite pizza of all time. The California Pizza Kitchen is my Tier three, and I would get the barbecue chicken pizza. I think that is incredible. My tier two, This is where I hit almost with will. But you play a baseball game. For me, we go to the ice dand we play hockey after a big game. The boys are all sweaty and smelly, but we want to play. We want to have a good time. You go to CC's Pizza. Was the pizza great, No, but seeing macaroni and cheese as an eight year old on a pizza truly a breathtaking experience. Automatic desserts everywhere. You keep grabbing it, you get the last one. You'd look back, Hey, would you say you come back to the trail. All of a sudden there's a whole another row of them. Then, bitches were ready early and often. CC's is my Tier two and my tier one because I do love the feeling of nostalgia. You get a twenty dollars bill and you walk into this place. You put it in the fucking dollar machine. And it brings out a bunch of tokens for you, and you get to play the games. Add those tickets up and get yourself a prize that's gonna break in the next fifteen to twenty minutes after you get You'll cry about it later, but you're not thinking about that right now. 03:15:27 Speaker 2: You're just about to hear and now. 03:15:28 Speaker 1: The present that is Peter Piper Pizza, that place sitting there, birthday partist. If you had a birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza when I was a kid, You're not missing that for anything, Boyce. 03:15:40 Speaker 2: And that's my tear talk, all right, descriptive. 03:15:56 Speaker 14: Unfamiliar, Yeah, confut, West West Coast, Miss. I've never heard of Peter Piper. 03:16:07 Speaker 3: You never heard Peper, never heard of Howie's or whatever? 03:16:10 Speaker 8: You Yeah, Yeah, mine's gonna be confusing though too, because I, like you guys are doing this is this isn't just tears, This is nostalgia tears. 03:16:21 Speaker 1: Well, it depends on the tear. 03:16:22 Speaker 2: Like I am doing things I would currently eat. That's okay, I would eat awe everything I said. 03:16:28 Speaker 8: I would probably do the same thing, right, I mean without Little Caesars is unquestionably one of the grossest things going. So for you to put that in any type of top three other than like I had a great memory somehow twenty years ago is embarrassing. I know you're only supposed to say one word, but you picked just this. 03:16:50 Speaker 2: We're talking, we're talking about Taylor's Yeah, you said, what do you say? Confusing to me? And then you went off. 03:16:54 Speaker 8: I don't know what Peter paper is, but the way you described it may it's sound like a Chuck E Cheese, the. 03:16:59 Speaker 3: Word you would scribe tailor's list already did. 03:17:01 Speaker 8: I said, confused? Okay, and it's I guess it's like, are we doing nostalgia? Like, yeah, I have good memories of CHUCKI Jesus as a kid. I also did a pizza review there and I caught COVID eight times, Like kids are sneezing on me, Like it's the most discussing wiping boogies by the wall. 03:17:17 Speaker 1: I took my kids Chuck E Cheese two weeks ago, and I had a fucking blast. 03:17:20 Speaker 2: Well you got kids. I was there doing a pizza review. Yeah that. 03:17:25 Speaker 1: I worrisome for the parents, Like. 03:17:27 Speaker 8: I couldn't you Like I couldn't get out of there fast? All right, my top three. I don't think people need to know them, but they are chains. So I can go three Puppa Ginos, not to be confused with pup John's. That's definitely a Northeast brand. Two or tucciess Fire, and three is uh Anthony's coal fire. That's a Tier one. I went reverse Tier three Puppa Ginos, Tier two for Tucciese. Tier one Anthony's coal fire. Okay, before we do our one word, you said you did your tier three through tier two one, but you did it with these hand gestures. 03:17:58 Speaker 1: Tier three is to your third place, correct. 03:18:00 Speaker 8: Yeah, three were going down. It's like yeah, it's like if you picture a family feud board, like three would be the most votes, No, the least, but if you're on the board, number one is the lowest. So I was going to here three, here's two, here's one. My one would be my favorite. 03:18:16 Speaker 2: Do I not know family feud? 03:18:17 Speaker 8: Because I feel like you're the one is most popular, is one of the top it goes one through Yeah, I'm again, hand up, I'm wrong fast to do it. I almost just lokated my shoulder that it's something that you guys said at the beginning of the show. 03:18:31 Speaker 2: That I won't do. I was dead ass wrong, right there? Can you apologize? 03:18:34 Speaker 8: I'm sorry for being wrong. So your tier three is my Tier one is my favorite? Gosh you so you said it all correctly, but you just thought it wrong. Maybe tier three is my lowest, and that would be Puppa Gino's never heard of these anything, none of them, Tier two, Bertucci's Tier one, Anthony's coal fire. 03:18:56 Speaker 2: Bus. 03:18:57 Speaker 8: But if we're using like Peter Piper and and you use stay more national Emo, well is it? 03:19:04 Speaker 2: Did you? 03:19:05 Speaker 3: Emos? 03:19:05 Speaker 1: I think I was the only one was an honorable mention tip of the cap. Peter Piper's everywhere, I thought, not everywhere. 03:19:11 Speaker 3: I think it's like coastal. 03:19:12 Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never heard of it. 03:19:14 Speaker 8: Oh, I would guess there's more than Anthony's coalfire than there are Peter Pipers. 03:19:18 Speaker 1: So now Peter Piper's kind of gone under like Blockbuster. 03:19:23 Speaker 2: Bertucci sort of went under a little bit. 03:19:26 Speaker 1: What is uh, let's get her one word? 03:19:28 Speaker 3: Yphen can't relate veteran? 03:19:33 Speaker 2: Do you get off? 03:19:34 Speaker 3: Where are you? Fross on his knees? 03:19:37 Speaker 2: But you know all those spots. 03:19:42 Speaker 9: Like this, I like that. I like you. 03:19:45 Speaker 2: You got a future, he said, you got a future. 03:19:50 Speaker 8: Oh yeah, got him? Onyroll Well he's the New England. Guys, two of them are New England. 03:19:56 Speaker 1: I feel like if I was from the northeast, I would understand everything you just said. 03:20:03 Speaker 8: Anthony's coal Fire is like Florida and South how many locations. 03:20:09 Speaker 1: Will yikes, mine's going to be hyphenated. 03:20:13 Speaker 2: Try hard? 03:20:15 Speaker 8: Well, no, I mean I take pizza seriously, you got Honestly, I want to feed some of your pizza my worst enemy when they were dying, like at all. So it's like, well, the tears talk was the tier talk was National? Well you but but then you brought up Emos, right, well that's part of the contest. 03:20:29 Speaker 2: Right, honorable mention. 03:20:31 Speaker 3: But what would be your top three year Piper will be your top three national chains of pizza? 03:20:36 Speaker 1: I think we can leave Peter Piper out of this. 03:20:37 Speaker 8: That we get in every state, yeah, Nationals knows It's like I think that's Chicago. Well, no, it's Star. But you can get UNO's everywhere. 03:20:50 Speaker 1: I don't know who knows what else. Papa John's. 03:20:57 Speaker 3: No, I'm not big Jones. 03:20:58 Speaker 8: I like when they have to let a little bit in California Pizza Kitchen. 03:21:02 Speaker 1: Okay, uh, Pizza Hut, California Pizza Kitchen has excellent avocado egg rolls. 03:21:14 Speaker 8: Yeah, for a pizza's pretty disappointing. Did I pick a pizza? No that you picked honestly, Pizza Hut. 03:21:20 Speaker 1: Well, you know what's wild too, is we could have gone and did a pizza review with you at eleven. Then that has been more fun times the three of us. 03:21:29 Speaker 8: We can still do a pizza review after How many pizza reviews do you have in the bank right now? 03:21:36 Speaker 7: Oh? 03:21:36 Speaker 2: We I was way way too high. 03:21:38 Speaker 8: I would have thought that too, Like, yeah, I'm just constantly anywhere I go, I'm stacking up. Like since I've been in Nashville, we've done four. 03:21:47 Speaker 1: You did three last time you were here. 03:21:49 Speaker 8: I land on the plane and we go instantly the second wheels down when we're eating pizza. Did one this morning, and we got like two others that I'm trying to see how many locations these guys have who knows no, Anthony's coal fire locations. 03:22:04 Speaker 1: Where are you guys going after this? 03:22:12 Speaker 3: The fuck. 03:22:14 Speaker 2: DICE's Yeah, that's yeah. Icy is a good time. You never had it? Icy is good? 03:22:21 Speaker 8: Where the Fox Cameria? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, so we were that was in between the Arizona Bowl, wasn't it while we're in No, we were in La. I was shooting a commercial, That's what it was. Yeah, I don't worry about that. It was just a little something something. So again when when we were shooting, uh, near Malibu. So we just go around and just find name place a pizza that's a Shaine right, just just on the west people. So wait, you don't know what Anthony's coal fire is? 03:23:03 Speaker 2: Huh? 03:23:05 Speaker 1: Have you ever wanted to do anything acting? 03:23:07 Speaker 2: What's that? Have you ever wanted to act or anything? 03:23:09 Speaker 8: No? 03:23:10 Speaker 2: I hate that shit. Okay, I'm a very like. 03:23:15 Speaker 8: This is where I'd like to be, like natural conversations, acting, smiling on demand. 03:23:20 Speaker 2: No, not my bag, not for you. 03:23:22 Speaker 8: Commercials though, my version of them, like I don't. Yeah, you know, I made my own version of a commercial. And then I was in like a national commercial. It was a high noon so we'll see. Okay, what commercial were you in? Are you allowed to say? No? 03:23:41 Speaker 2: All right? High levels? I got maybe off the bus, yeah, definitely. 03:23:48 Speaker 1: Maybe outstanding, I believe.
