And a huge, huge thank you to our subscribers. You guys are awesome. They sure are. Speaking of things that are awesome. We just got done rewatching Pirates. Okay, let's play Pirates. Nay by Stella? Could you tell us what was going on? At the beginning of this episode. Bingo, Bluie, and Missy were all the park and they went up and asked Chili and Bandit if they could play the game Pirates. Chili said that she thought that game was a bit too scary for Missy, but Missy said that she would play it. So what's this game like? Stella? Can you tell us what they're doing? Bingo, Blueing Missy go on the Hammock Swing and they pretend that that's their pirate ship. Chili narrates the story and Bandit controls the Hammock Swing like it's on the ocean. In response to what's going on in the story? Right, yeah, Amanda, how does the story start out? The story starts out that the pirates are on their ship and the ocean is nice and calm. Bluie is standing at the bow of the ship and she is just waiting for something to happen, and she says, come on, let's do this. Louie looked properly pirate like, with her one foot up in her scowl. Yes she did. Bingo has her pile of treasure and right away she's got the pirate language down to she does. As soon as the wind starts to blow, Missy gets scared. What kind of dog is she? I am not for sure. She sure is cute and her tiny little voice, yes, yeah, she got scared and she climbed off of the boat immediately, Henry, what did she do? She went to go hide behind one of the poles holding up the hammock. So Chili said that she was a lighthouse keeper hiding behind her lighthouse. I love that Chili is trying to help Missy because she said something like one pirate is hanging out behind the lighthouse, which is fine, so that Bandit won't try to make it too rough or scary for because I think Bandit would probably be the main instigator there. I think so too, because he does. As the story moves forward, we see him saying things like but this was her chance to finally prove herself and blah blah blah in an encouraging way, not in an antagonistic way. They said, let's get going, and he starts up his storm. Henry, how is that going? The hammock is swinging back and forth, going really fast, their treasures flying everywhere, and Blue and Being are holding on so then they don't fall off. It looked very intense. I love though that before it got too carried away. Bluie said, you call this a storm. Oh, I bet that'll get to see angry in this storm. Bickut Chili does a good job moving this forward, and she knows Bandit pretty well to know what's going to push his buttons like that Stella. During the wildest part of the storm, they almost have a major catastrophe. What is happening? Bingo drops a piece of her treasure, so she decides to launch herself over to it to save it. But while she's trying to save her treasure, she almost falls off the ship and Louie has to come and save her. After Bluie says her, she tells Missy that they need her help. Missy's still scared, but this storm is over and she's coming back. The lighthouse keeper is going to get back on the ship when suddenly, Amanda, that's what they said, right, Yes, what happened? Yes, something hits the bottom of the ship, which. Was perfect chance for the little part to show how brave she was. And it is a blue whale, and it starts bumping into the boat and missy who got back on the boat. She decided she wasn't gonna have it, so she jumped back off the boat and ran back to the lighthouse. Henry, what kind of whale was it? It was a blue whale. I'm not scared of a silly blue whale. Yeah, well like pooh, Well, I'm sure that you girls noticed this, But Henry and I immediately made eye contact when we heard that. We think quite a bit alike, don't we. Yeah? I think we do. Okay, we need to take a vote in here. Who thought that was peak comedy? That line of bingos? Is that a yay or inee? Eh? It was kind of funny. Yes, Henry and I are fully on board. Amanda's partly on board, Stella, what say you? No, it's not funny. I keep forgetting. You're more sophisticated and above all this, ye than we are. My goodness, thank you for hanging out with us, being that we're not nearly at your standing here you're welcome. Well, things are getting pretty carried away now that the whale is attacking them, Henry. What happens? The whale keeps on attacking their boat and then it swallows them whole. Chili says that that is pretty scary. It was both hot and slimy and gurgling and gurgly. But still pretty safe and kind of fun. Henry. Suddenly the whale goes silent. What is happening? A dad comes to the park with his kid and Bannit sees him and he starts feeling self conscious. Yeah, you could tell he did not want to act like a maniac with that other dad over there. Now have you ever felt like that, Henry? I guess sometimes. Yeah, I'm trying to think. I try to go ahead and keep doing my thing when there's other people, But I've probably done that where somebody else being there makes me act differently than I would if they weren't where I might not go at it with complete abandon like I would if it was just us. I think most all of us have felt that way at times when other people are around. Blue is wondering why the whale went quiet, and when Chili tells Blooie the reason. Blooe says that that doesn't make any sense at all. Stella, how does this go down? Chili agrees with Blue that it is weird that the whale stop making noise, and she kind of just teases him about it. But meanwhile, while she's doing that, Kirrits don't know how to get out of the whale's stomach, but Missy says that she might have an idea. Chili takes this opportunity to get one in on bandit. Oh, but the pirates couldn't hear the lighthouse keeper they was stuck inside the usually noisy whale. Amanda, what does Missy do next? Missy comes up with an idea of how to save Blue and Bingo from the whale's stomach. As she starts to do her thing, we see Chili narrating Missy's moves as she's going to rescue the others. She climbs up the pole and onto the hammocke where they're playing app and she's going to slide down it to get into the whale's stomach. Chili mentions how brave she is being. What driving and what an inspiration to those of us out there? Trying to face out is. Once she gets inside the whale's stomach, we're Louis and Bingo are. Her plan was that they should all tickle the whale from the inside, and so they began tickling and tickling and tickling. Bandit is supposed to be doing his thing right here, but he is definitely phoning it in, Henry. What is he doing? Bandit is just going he instead of making his goofy whale noises, and he's looking over his shoulder at the other dad. So now you most definitely know that he is embarrassed. Yeah, he just doesn't want to do his thing, does he? Yeah? He does not, add all. Missy's little voice speaks out to him. Thanks, I can kick le, Henry. If a little kid asked you to do something in a sweet little voice like that, would that work on you? Maybe? I'm not really sure right now. Well it wor on Bandit and he finally got over himself and went all in on the game. And boy, oh boy, are they having trouble surviving this Stella? What is happening? Bandit was holding the hammock up and Bingo was hanging from it, and Missy and Bluie were grabbing onto each other, and they told her that they needed Bingo to help them, but Bingo said that she couldn't because she had her treasure in her arm and obviously she can't let go over for treasure. But they told her that she needed to let go for treasure, so she did and she saved them. Y y oh, poor Bingo. Yeah, but she did it, even though it was tough. She let it go after all that, and she was able to save them, Amanda, what happens? The whale spit them all out and they landed back on their ship, nice and safe, but maybe a little slimy from being inside the whale's stomach. Yeah, Bandit went to sit next to Chili, and Chili finishes that part of the story. Whew, and the big blue whales swam off to find his blue whale wife who loved him. That little bit more. Now, Amanda, would you have felt that way like Chili did, that you loved the whale just a little bit more? Oh? Absolutely, I sure would. Yeah. That really worked magic for Bandit. Good on him, and that was the episode. Henry, did we forget anything? Nope? I don't think so. Well, you know what, it's time. For did we learn anything today? Could anyone tell us? What did you learn today? What I learned today is that sometimes you just have to be brave. I agree, I learned the same thing. Sometimes you just have to be brave, even when it's scary. You just have to try your best. Very good. I learned that being brave means different things to different people, Like Missy was scared about playing Pirates because she didn't like going that fast on the hammick and stuff. But Bandit was scared because he thought that that other dad there was gonna judge him. Yeah, very good. Being brave was a totally different but same thing for both of them. They just had to overcome a fear. Missy's was for her own safety and bandit was for his sense of pride. I guess that's a really good one. I thought it was cool that Bandit was busy trying to encourage Missy to not be scared and to move past her own fears, but then got stuck and kind of paralyzed by his own fears, even though he was the one trying to help her. Yeah, he sure did. And you know, they kind of helped each other out because he was trying to encourage her to be brave, and then when he got scared, she said something to him that encouraged him to be brave again. And thank goodness, Chili was there to remind him that he needed to buck up. Mister better get busy being a dad up in here. Yes, I really love the way they play in these things, and I think a situation like this is probably similar to things that we've done now. Luckily, for me, I'll do almost anything, and so I don't get too terribly embarrassed. What about you, Amanda, I'll do anything. I don't think I get too terribly embarrassed either, But I think it's more I embarrass the kids. Are you guys embarrassed of us? Yes? Uh? Well you see you see well. The ultimate betrayal? How could you? Does anybody have any parting thoughts about the episode? This is the first episode that we've seen Missy, isn't it in the season? I think so? Maybe? Yeah? Well, she is absolutely adorable. I love seeing her in this episode, and I love how they, like you already said, how they all played together and she was just a super cute little pup. Yeah, she is a cute kid. I found bandits whale noises really funny. I thought it was funnier that the kids would being a lot braver than Bandit was. Yeah, it's easier for a kid in a park to be loud and rambunctious without people thinking anything about it, as opposed to maybe a grown up, so I sort of get that. But yeah, come on, band It. I had a lot of fun with this. I really do like their style of play. Love of Chili's storytelling. I liked that band It was acting it out and adding to the story. And I really liked that he was trying to encourage Missy to dig deep and take a chance and get past her fears, because band It wasn't going to let those girls get hurt. I don't know, though, a couple of times it looked like it was one second away from complete disaster. It was a little rough sailing a few times. Yeah, nobody was wearing a life vest either, right, Yeah, gee whiz so dangerous. Yeah. I really like how Chili while she was telling the story the first time Missy ran away to the lighthouse, Chili described it as a lighthouse and added in there the and it's fine because she wanted to make Missy feel good, right. And I think the which is fine was for bandit right, Yeah, I agree, letting him know that you need to not make too big a deal out of this. Yeah, I but she was definitely trying to make Missy feel okay with her decision to run off the ship. You know, it's a lot of fun. I love that they play together. I really enjoy that. And I think about the stuff that we've done as a family, like when we have our crazy lightsaber fights and stuff like that. Yes, yeah, that's right, people, super good episode, super super good. Well, guys, we think Bluie is awesome. And speaking of things that we think are awesome, Henry, what should we do next? The holl outs? Okay, listen up. Everyone has to clap and go whoa yet? Oh gotcha, and Oscar managed to get them all. Well, congratulations on that, Oscar. How cool and Josh thanks so much for trying. And Oscar left us as super super cool review too, so thank you so much. Oscar, Thanks Oscar. Speaking of reviews, I went to the Apple podcast website and well, it looks like there's new reviews, but everything is shuffled around and ones that we've definitely talked about are above the ones that seem new. So I need to pour through it a little more to see if I can't figure out what's going on. Here's the thing I like to carry on about Apple podcasts, but they're providing a pretty great service for not much for us, so it's hard to complain.
