<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, It's Friday, January tenth, twenty twenty five. Welcome
<v Speaker 1>to the Giant BombCast Revengeance. I guess we don't really
<v Speaker 1>number these episodes, but welcome. I'm your host, Jan Ochoa,
<v Speaker 1>joining me as always co captain of the ship. Jez,
<v Speaker 1>what do you got there? I'm not going to acknowledge him,
<v Speaker 1>Jeff Grubb.
<v Speaker 2>Hi, Yeah, I'm happy to be here. I'm back from
<v Speaker 2>Pittsburgh and then Youngstown. I survived Youngstown despite all of
<v Speaker 2>the organized products.
<v Speaker 1>I'm survised. I'm surprised and glad that you wo yep, yep.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not gonna look at you anymore. Mike Uh survive
<v Speaker 1>the organized crime. Speaking about organized crime, he's the most
<v Speaker 1>organized man on this team, arguably Turbo Shawn Sean mctow.
<v Speaker 3>We absolutely do number these jan It's always just numbered
<v Speaker 3>the same as the Tuesday show.
<v Speaker 1>Oh there you go. That's why I called.
<v Speaker 3>You the Vengeance everybody.
<v Speaker 1>You're the most organized man because you pay attention to details.
<v Speaker 1>Speaking about the details. The devil and the details. He's
<v Speaker 1>in between the lines. He's in between. He is the
<v Speaker 1>notes that aren't played.
<v Speaker 4>Dan Reikert, I'm the jazz of games. Media is what
<v Speaker 4>many people have been saying.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, that's what we've been saying behind your back this
<v Speaker 1>whole time.
<v Speaker 4>Please please have Mike's Mike muted until he changes a
<v Speaker 4>stupid display thing to his new Moniker.
<v Speaker 1>That's right, folks, He's no longer the bad boy of
<v Speaker 1>Games Meet. He's the play of the game, the box clever.
<v Speaker 4>We're not dealing. Can you guys take this serious? I
<v Speaker 4>think he was screaming about POGs many times. Doesn't like
<v Speaker 4>that it's his nickname.
<v Speaker 2>Now, you guys actually kind of should have seen Mike
<v Speaker 2>at Games Done Quick. It is like, listen, I also
<v Speaker 2>want to be seen on camera. Okay, I of course
<v Speaker 2>I did. But but Mike, his lack of shame is
<v Speaker 2>a superpower.
<v Speaker 5>It is just so.
<v Speaker 2>Like, first of all, he disappears, he's like, I gotta
<v Speaker 2>go potty, like one of the fifty times he went potty. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>And and he comes back and he's got the damn
<v Speaker 2>thing he's got on right now, which is a light
<v Speaker 2>up led sign that he made, say Tokoto.
<v Speaker 5>He says he was gonna make it.
<v Speaker 2>Say Jeff Grub he was, or fuck Jeff Grub, And
<v Speaker 2>he was so so happy with himself.
<v Speaker 5>He put on his on his cart and everything, and.
<v Speaker 2>He's just like a pig and shit. And then it
<v Speaker 2>was like every opportunity to move a little bit closer,
<v Speaker 2>a little bit.
<v Speaker 5>More in front of the camera. He was just like
<v Speaker 5>like a dog.
<v Speaker 2>When the mailman shows up, he just like shot to
<v Speaker 2>the door and started barking at it.
<v Speaker 5>It was.
<v Speaker 3>Just like smiling like a child's wave at the camera
<v Speaker 3>and everything too.
<v Speaker 2>And I'm like, yeah, I will go along with you.
<v Speaker 2>I'm glad you're here, Mike Manati.
<v Speaker 5>It was a good time.
<v Speaker 1>Mike, do you want to say something? All right? I'm sorry,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 4>I feel like the lack of shame. Guy. I used
<v Speaker 4>to be the look at me and then it's like
<v Speaker 4>I'm like horizon zero dawn and all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 4>breath of the Wild comes in. Thank you for wow,
<v Speaker 4>breath for the wild. I appreciate that everyone thought I
<v Speaker 4>was very good, and all of a sudden, here comes
<v Speaker 4>breath the wild.
<v Speaker 1>The king.
<v Speaker 4>The king has arrived.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, I mean, it's it's fun to see yourself on camera, right, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>You're on camera three four times a week, so much.
<v Speaker 4>Excuse me, I don't mean to scream.
<v Speaker 3>Oh, of course. I speaking of Jeff, I'm wondering were
<v Speaker 3>you getting like notably loud when you guys were at
<v Speaker 3>Games one quick, because I swear I kept hearing you
<v Speaker 3>in particular.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we can't.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, that Jeff the one who would randomly scream. Then
<v Speaker 6>the guy in the crowds like any during the Tears
<v Speaker 6>Kingdom run any Pura fans here.
<v Speaker 3>Jeff, Yeah, very distinctly. A couple of polite collaps and
<v Speaker 3>then Jeff Brob is screaming like he's on fire.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, and it appears to be an air freshener. What
<v Speaker 4>is Remember the character Perah from what per Tears of
<v Speaker 4>the Kingdom lady that works in the clock telescope. Yes,
<v Speaker 4>I would have also been yelling grub thank you.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Absolutely other people yelled for like Saddan and dom Dom.
<v Speaker 5>Saddam said, I can't.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know any character in Shelda outside of Zelda
<v Speaker 4>Jayden and blink Jesus about Wait. I'm also sick, but
<v Speaker 4>I'm trying to Tears the Kingdom Breath of the Wild.
<v Speaker 4>I literally can't. There's the flappy delivery bird.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and did say Saddam, so like, yeah, this is
<v Speaker 2>it turns out not in Zelda.
<v Speaker 4>Put saddam, who's saying in Zelda?
<v Speaker 1>All right, well, let's give all the pleasant.
<v Speaker 5>I did yell a couple of times.
<v Speaker 2>I'm surprised that Mike was yelling, but I just think
<v Speaker 2>he yelled with the crowd, and I.
<v Speaker 6>Just burst forth, you picked your spots. They read my
<v Speaker 6>donation at one point, and it was yelled.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah for that one as well.
<v Speaker 4>I think people heard that the same time my brother
<v Speaker 4>realized he lost his fellow.
<v Speaker 6>He's like, oh, where's my phone. I'm like, shut up
<v Speaker 6>there reading my tone. Nation, Oh my god.
<v Speaker 4>We have a new Okay, we have a new Chechtowski
<v Speaker 4>U R L Here if anyone wants to go to
<v Speaker 4>the Pogslammer dot Life U G Slammer dot Live goes
<v Speaker 4>to Mitch Tolkoto's blue sky page.
<v Speaker 1>And then like your your header image there, Mic is
<v Speaker 1>perfect for the pod slammer.
<v Speaker 4>All right, you guys are too much. You don't want
<v Speaker 4>to yes and us here no wait in that banner image.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, guy who knows made Mike uncomfortable?
<v Speaker 4>They said it couldn't be done.
<v Speaker 2>We know your shame us hooray, hooray, triple h okay.
<v Speaker 1>All right, welcome to podcast in vengeance.
<v Speaker 5>I don't know real quick.
<v Speaker 4>People wonder like, why are they always yelling?
<v Speaker 5>And why are they always.
<v Speaker 2>Making these We're just actually friends. This is what happens.
<v Speaker 4>Appeal to TikTok friendly.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, oh boy, all right, I don't I don't care
<v Speaker 1>about what games you've been playing. Good Red Dead two?
<v Speaker 3>Actually, well, yeah, we don't need to talk about that one.
<v Speaker 1>Then I really don't care.
<v Speaker 5>Then, folks.
<v Speaker 1>I visited the New Fandom San Francisco office yesterday, and
<v Speaker 1>I let me tell you, it looks good. A specific
<v Speaker 1>part that looks good. The studio. Yeah, and we'll we'll
<v Speaker 1>share some stuff later on about that. Shouts out to
<v Speaker 1>John Luke and the crew for working on that thang.
<v Speaker 1>Also shouts out to John Luke for using the budget
<v Speaker 1>to buy a bunch of miscellaneous things that I immediately
<v Speaker 1>took from the office because OZMA wouldn't or dj I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't send me one of these, so I just took
<v Speaker 1>one from the office. Shouts out to John Luke. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>we're here, Sean, We're here to recap the Fantasy Critic
<v Speaker 1>the Giant Bomb League results of last year twenty twenty four.
<v Speaker 5>That's right, we'll do. We'll do that.
<v Speaker 2>We'll talk maybe about that top fifty from Rolling Stone,
<v Speaker 2>and then if we have time, maybe we'll.
<v Speaker 3>Do Yellow Free for him. We'll see what we're out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we're hanging out like friends, do U sean? I
<v Speaker 1>could all right? Okay, folks, I know we poke fun
<v Speaker 1>at the sub ridder all the time, but like yo,
<v Speaker 1>friends yell at each other.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, you know, we should analyze the volume of their
<v Speaker 4>voice and what that means socially for the.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you know, when you start calling one of
<v Speaker 1>your friends the pog slammer, does that?
<v Speaker 4>He started calling himself that, and we're just going along
<v Speaker 4>because we're good friends.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're right, you're right. We haven't spelled out how
<v Speaker 1>we're calling him the pog slammer, you know.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, exactly came from.
<v Speaker 4>Hey, I was shoot talking about my pog slammer, and
<v Speaker 4>Mike was like that to me, I'm the bogs Slammer now.
<v Speaker 4>He said that's what I called myself in high school.
<v Speaker 4>And then he just like that, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Mike slapped me across the face and he just
<v Speaker 1>texted me a middle finger emoji.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think high school. We are calling uh, we're
<v Speaker 4>calling them POGs. Yeah right them? Huh elaborate please?
<v Speaker 1>What do you mean POGs? Like the cardboard helper?
<v Speaker 4>We learned that term thanks to Mike.
<v Speaker 3>Remember that was like the thing I did.
<v Speaker 1>Work I learned from Okay, okay, Sean, I'm gonna I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna defer to you, sir, please you have a better
<v Speaker 1>control and understanding of the Fantasy Critic.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, first, if you could re explain the commissioner.
<v Speaker 3>Which is basically just means that, yeah, if anything breaks,
<v Speaker 3>I helped fix it because SEW runs itself.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, yeah, Sean, did you first explain the concept
<v Speaker 1>and then well we'll get into the standings.
<v Speaker 3>I'd love to so. Fantasy Critic is this game that
<v Speaker 3>we played throughout the year. It's named as such because
<v Speaker 3>it's like fancy Football, but for Metacritic or in this case,
<v Speaker 3>Open Critic scores, and so basically, the idea is that
<v Speaker 3>you want to, you know, quote, draft a team, which
<v Speaker 3>is just make a list of the games that you
<v Speaker 3>think will perform the best throughout the year score wise.
<v Speaker 3>If you don't know how fancy football drafting works, well,
<v Speaker 3>the easiest way to explain is just that you need
<v Speaker 3>to pick a game before anyone else does, because each
<v Speaker 3>game can only be picked once and you just want
<v Speaker 3>the list of the best, you know, high scoring games
<v Speaker 3>a year. And so that's what we did throughout the year.
<v Speaker 3>We had the initial draft at the beginning where we
<v Speaker 3>had our initial smaller lists, and then we are giving.
<v Speaker 5>Three games, right and counter Yeah, I'm how we did.
<v Speaker 3>I think it was three games and a counterpick counterpick
<v Speaker 3>media game. You think won't do notably well. You think
<v Speaker 3>you'll score someone else someone else picked it, and you
<v Speaker 3>think you'll do a seventy or lower because each point
<v Speaker 3>that gained above seventy you would lose a point.
<v Speaker 5>Or won't come out. There's a lot of like minor
<v Speaker 5>details here show now you're.
<v Speaker 7>Doing a great job, just really running over me here, Jeff, Yeah, sorry,
<v Speaker 7>keep going please, And then you know, speaking of the
<v Speaker 7>points system, though for each point you score above seventy,
<v Speaker 7>you would gain one point.
<v Speaker 3>If you're a game on your roster scored above ninety,
<v Speaker 3>each point above ninety actually scores you double points. So yeah,
<v Speaker 3>you really want to get the games that'll do very
<v Speaker 3>very well, like you know, the major releases of the year.
<v Speaker 3>As we'll see when we go over some of this
<v Speaker 3>but yeah, and then the last thing is we reach
<v Speaker 3>given a budget kind of like you know, a fantasy
<v Speaker 3>football type of thing, where you abid on games throughout
<v Speaker 3>the year that you know, ones that just get announced
<v Speaker 3>recently or they didn't get in the initial draft, and
<v Speaker 3>you try to outbid people to add games to your roster.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, the short version is just trying to get
<v Speaker 3>a list of the best games of the year.
<v Speaker 1>Yep. And we had the whole Giant Bomb staff participate
<v Speaker 1>in that. So that was us five plus Jeff Backlar,
<v Speaker 1>Nikki Grayson, Tomorrow, Sat and Lucy James all competing against
<v Speaker 1>each other. Sean, do we want to start at the bottom?
<v Speaker 3>Uh?
<v Speaker 1>Do we want?
<v Speaker 4>Well?
<v Speaker 3>I don't know. There's something that goes along with being
<v Speaker 3>at the bottom, So I guess we could. I guess
<v Speaker 3>we could because it's more exciting to see who's at that.
<v Speaker 3>But yes, a in last place, ninth place with eight
<v Speaker 3>points on the board was Lucy James Games is Lucy
<v Speaker 3>James publishes games. We all named our little publishing teams there. Lucy,
<v Speaker 3>you know she played the game. I'll give her credit.
<v Speaker 3>I assumed that she didn't based on the points here,
<v Speaker 3>but now she has picked a lot of games that
<v Speaker 3>all scored around seventy so didn't get her many points.
<v Speaker 3>She picked some games that scored negative such as Foam Stars,
<v Speaker 3>which lost her ten points, and some games that didn't
<v Speaker 3>come out like Silksong, Assassin's Screech, Shadows, and The Altars.
<v Speaker 3>So buil a rough year for Lucy there.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I do think she said that she.
<v Speaker 2>Forgot her log in for most of the year, so
<v Speaker 2>a lot of these picks were last minute scramp yes.
<v Speaker 3>And then she was like, and I don't get sports.
<v Speaker 3>I'm like, I don't think that would help you here, Lucy.
<v Speaker 3>But all right, we'll take that. One step up from Lucy.
<v Speaker 3>In eighth place was Jerf with his important Collective a
<v Speaker 3>bit of a pump up in points there to twenty
<v Speaker 3>points on the board in the year. Similar situation where
<v Speaker 3>he didn't he didn't pick too many poor choices, But
<v Speaker 3>the difference here is that Jerff counter picked, presumably because
<v Speaker 3>he thought it wouldn't come out. He counter picked Silent
<v Speaker 3>Hill to remake, which lost it move seventeen points. And
<v Speaker 3>maybe he also forgot about the game because he didn't
<v Speaker 3>counter pick a second game, which automatically loses you at
<v Speaker 3>to Shell fifteen.
<v Speaker 5>I think Silent Hill too happen and he just gave
<v Speaker 5>I think he just gave.
<v Speaker 1>Up after that point. Yeah. I think it's funny because
<v Speaker 1>out of everyone on the team, I feel like Jeff
<v Speaker 1>would bring it up a lot of like and he
<v Speaker 1>was thinking about this one fantasy yep.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, but again I think Silent Hill two just broke him.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, a giant bomb.
<v Speaker 6>I think Backlars person, I would most enjoy being in
<v Speaker 6>an actual fantasy league with right getting like really into it,
<v Speaker 6>getting like very comically upset by it, and things like.
<v Speaker 5>He probably plays fantasy hockey.
<v Speaker 3>I bet he was the one talking about this the
<v Speaker 3>most throughout the year. I feel up until he kind
<v Speaker 3>of dropped a little bit. Seventh place here was TAM's
<v Speaker 3>grow Up. That's all he named it.
<v Speaker 5>Uh.
<v Speaker 3>Tam, you know, had a really good start because he
<v Speaker 3>was the first person to draft. So he got tech
<v Speaker 3>and eight right off the bat, which got him some
<v Speaker 3>double points. There also got some solid choices in the
<v Speaker 3>fan favorite dragon ball Z Sparking zero, you got hell
<v Speaker 3>Divers two, You got Brothers remake, which was eligible. He
<v Speaker 3>counterpicked at the time was My Fire Emblem remake, which
<v Speaker 3>did not come out, so he's doing pretty good. And
<v Speaker 3>I think Tam also kind of forgot about the game
<v Speaker 3>because he didn't pick any other games after that, and
<v Speaker 3>they did not counter pick a second game, so he
<v Speaker 3>also got that fifteen point loss there, coming out forty
<v Speaker 3>one points.
<v Speaker 2>His remaining budget is the entirety of the water.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, then next st up, we have Nicki in
<v Speaker 3>sixth place with their good video games TM. NICKI just
<v Speaker 3>didn't really pick a bang this year. A lot of
<v Speaker 3>games hovering around that seven, a lot of seventy seven's
<v Speaker 3>on the dot. Actually, they also picked new Mario Kart
<v Speaker 3>which did not come out this year, Pokemon Legend Za,
<v Speaker 3>which did not come out this year. They did correctly
<v Speaker 3>counterpick Earth Blade, which also did not come out this year, unfortunately.
<v Speaker 3>I think they assumed that India Jones and The Great
<v Speaker 3>Circle Slip, he has a counterpick that losing seventeen points,
<v Speaker 3>So another one there where the counterpick screwed them over.
<v Speaker 4>I assume we were thinking when we picked these that
<v Speaker 4>the Switch too might come out.
<v Speaker 6>Yes, oh yeah, definitely Mario didn't they yeah, then dropped it.
<v Speaker 1>Oh smart, Yeah.
<v Speaker 5>That was that me. I think it might have been me.
<v Speaker 5>I think so yeah, yeah, yeah, that sounds right, And.
<v Speaker 2>I think, honestly, Nicki's this is a pretty good showing
<v Speaker 2>for Nikki because I think they had the worst draft, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>because they picked.
<v Speaker 5>Some some pretty questionable ones.
<v Speaker 2>So to have a kind of a comeback and get
<v Speaker 2>up to sixth place pretty impressive.
<v Speaker 3>Nicky did pick last in the draft, so even though
<v Speaker 3>it's a snake draft, so they got to pick a
<v Speaker 3>two in a row, you know, after the final fantasies
<v Speaker 3>and the Tecans and like it was, it was a
<v Speaker 3>little more difficult there. So yeah, rough.
<v Speaker 1>Time, ye power Old didn't really hurt them as much
<v Speaker 1>as I thought it would.
<v Speaker 5>Ye.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, In fact, it all I think lost Jeff one
<v Speaker 3>point because he counterpicked that in actually scored a seventy one.
<v Speaker 5>That's exactly right, yep, Okay.
<v Speaker 3>Moving up next was Jan himself with cut the check games.
<v Speaker 3>Let's see how Jan did down here. You know what, Jen,
<v Speaker 3>you did pretty all right except for a couple of
<v Speaker 3>key issues here. Would you like to talk about your list?
<v Speaker 1>Well, see, I forgot to counter pick a second game
<v Speaker 1>because I think I was on the fence of whether
<v Speaker 1>or not a game would come out, and then I
<v Speaker 1>think I forgot myself.
<v Speaker 2>I also, do you think like the Indiana Jones counterpick
<v Speaker 2>from Nicky was representative of like there just wasn't a
<v Speaker 2>lot of good options at that point, like you had
<v Speaker 2>to counterpick something, and everything seemed like a.
<v Speaker 3>Friendly reminder to everyone listening. Like Jeff mentioned, you have
<v Speaker 3>to counterpick a game that someone else has drafted, and
<v Speaker 3>we mostly had like some solid games this year, not
<v Speaker 3>not too many sport in the negative.
<v Speaker 4>So it was hard.
<v Speaker 5>And that also goes in the draft order.
<v Speaker 2>So it's like at least in the initial one, and
<v Speaker 2>so it's like everyone else is picking the obvious ones
<v Speaker 2>and then you have to pick up the one that
<v Speaker 2>like you think might slip. And then for this later one,
<v Speaker 2>it's like everyone had dropped the stuff that was confirmed
<v Speaker 2>on to come out, So you were in a tough spot.
<v Speaker 1>I think, I know, you know what, I think. I
<v Speaker 1>initially drafted that the game that Mikey dropped, and that
<v Speaker 1>might have hurt me or whatever, but maybe that would
<v Speaker 1>have tracked it anyway. The thing that hurt me the
<v Speaker 1>most was Skull and Bones. Ah, yes, yeah, who would
<v Speaker 1>have thought? Who would have seen that coming?
<v Speaker 6>That was definitely a you panicked we're having time thinking
<v Speaker 6>of other things.
<v Speaker 1>I no.
<v Speaker 3>Mike out of four I remember now, initially it was
<v Speaker 3>nice for you to.
<v Speaker 5>Try to give him that cover, though, was that you goofing?
<v Speaker 4>Were you goofing? Honest? Were you not taking it seriously?
<v Speaker 1>I know, because I thought maybe Skull and Bones might
<v Speaker 1>be a surprise hit because it been in development for
<v Speaker 1>so long. Because if something is being developed forever, that
<v Speaker 1>means it's going to be good, right, YEA.
<v Speaker 4>The longer something's in and oven, the better it is.
<v Speaker 1>You think about.
<v Speaker 4>All right, forever, Chinese democracy, all those things.
<v Speaker 3>All the stars, yes, all right? Well, next up was me.
<v Speaker 3>I came in fourth place here with my lucky lopinie
<v Speaker 3>feet inc. As everyone knows, I did pick a full
<v Speaker 3>roster here. I kind of had the same problem of
<v Speaker 3>a fair amount of games in the seventies not really hitting.
<v Speaker 3>I thought all the old men would just like you know,
<v Speaker 3>lose their minds over Nintendo World Championships, even though we
<v Speaker 3>knew it would be a mediocre game. Unfortunately, the Andy
<v Speaker 3>Robinson's of the world software what was and scored seventy
<v Speaker 3>one Lego Horizon Adventures kind of the same thing didn't
<v Speaker 3>really hit with anyone. So seventy one one Man Valley
<v Speaker 3>three is on scored. I thought that game came out
<v Speaker 3>this years.
<v Speaker 4>Later where it just didn't get enough reviews.
<v Speaker 3>Weird, okay, because yeah, I was trying to I was
<v Speaker 3>trying to flesh out my roster at the end of
<v Speaker 3>the year here because I had to drop something that
<v Speaker 3>didn't come out the Fire Emblem remake. And then I
<v Speaker 3>think I have another drop, like I used the other
<v Speaker 3>drop I had or something like that. But yeah, I
<v Speaker 3>did get a good amount points, which is why I'm
<v Speaker 3>heard with Metaphor. Metaphor got me twenty five points there.
<v Speaker 3>And then I also had you know, my RPG Brain
<v Speaker 3>Dragon Quest three and Unicorn Overlord both.
<v Speaker 1>Got me some good choice good choice for Dragon question.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I knew that would hit, like there's no way
<v Speaker 3>it would have. So I think my list overall pretty good,
<v Speaker 3>but uh, not quite good enough.
<v Speaker 5>You were in the mix.
<v Speaker 3>Was in the mix because yeah, because.
<v Speaker 5>You're you're above one hundred and like, yeah, you guys
<v Speaker 5>killing me out.
<v Speaker 3>You thought I had no chance. I'm only I would
<v Speaker 3>like to point out, like the previous like the bottom
<v Speaker 3>half ish of the list here was all kind of
<v Speaker 3>close together. There's a jump from jan I fifty seven
<v Speaker 3>points to me at one hundred and five, so I
<v Speaker 3>was competitive, what's the math? And then only six points
<v Speaker 3>above me getting into the top three was Mike Minatti's
<v Speaker 3>Critical Path Publishing while remember that Giant Bomb meme. Uh, Mike,
<v Speaker 3>you had a good list here, you want to talk
<v Speaker 3>about it?
<v Speaker 5>Yeah.
<v Speaker 6>I started off really strong with Persona three reloads was
<v Speaker 6>my first take, like I had a pretty good grab.
<v Speaker 6>I think with Braid Anniversary Edition, a game only I
<v Speaker 6>thought about they got an eighty nine score. I had
<v Speaker 6>good counterpicks because I had Skull and Bones, and then
<v Speaker 6>just that three D margame that didn't come out, and
<v Speaker 6>then I had quite a few stuff that sort of
<v Speaker 6>under delivered, like Plucky Squire was only eighty two, Star
<v Speaker 6>Wars Outlaws was a seventy five, and I was being
<v Speaker 6>way more optimistic about that one seam World Heists two
<v Speaker 6>only in eighty two. And then at the end there
<v Speaker 6>I was kind of scrambling, like what's even coming out?
<v Speaker 6>There's some alien game rogue excursion that got me seven points,
<v Speaker 6>and then Rivals of eighth or two was when I
<v Speaker 6>picked up and that that I had a problem there
<v Speaker 6>where the game did in fact come out and it
<v Speaker 6>just did not get enough reviews to actually get a score.
<v Speaker 6>So I got zero points from that. So but nothing
<v Speaker 6>disastrous here. Like everything, I didn't have a single like
<v Speaker 6>pick that lost me points or a single counterpick that
<v Speaker 6>low points. It just didn't quite come together, spite persona
<v Speaker 6>three reload Indiana Jones and Braid getting me pretty big booth.
<v Speaker 3>That's right.
<v Speaker 1>And then really really good pick though might be with
<v Speaker 1>the freaking Braid Anniversary edition. I would never have thought
<v Speaker 1>the draft. I'm a big Braid guy.
<v Speaker 3>I bet well. I feel like that should have been
<v Speaker 3>more of a remaster, but I guess it was kind
<v Speaker 3>of as a remake, which remakes are allowed by.
<v Speaker 6>Oah somebody who reviewed that, and it's like surprisingly a
<v Speaker 6>lot of new content and like stuff.
<v Speaker 3>Cunover, So ye gotcha all right? Second place here then went.
<v Speaker 5>And then the best of the non cheaters. I think
<v Speaker 5>I went to.
<v Speaker 3>Jeffrey Grub with his Grub Games. Let's see look at
<v Speaker 3>Jeff's list again. A very solid list here. I think
<v Speaker 3>you you really really pulled one over on us with
<v Speaker 3>Bilatro here one dollar. But I was talking about that
<v Speaker 3>the rest of your list too.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, So that that was like when I'm like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>I think I have a good shot here because I'll
<v Speaker 2>get Bilatro for one dollar when I don't think anyone
<v Speaker 2>else is gonna notice, and one else was like fully
<v Speaker 2>engaged at that moment, and I got away with that one.
<v Speaker 2>And then it did way better in reviews than I
<v Speaker 2>was even expecting, And it was fun to like lred
<v Speaker 2>that over you guys for a while, and then I think,
<v Speaker 2>you know where it goes wrong for me because I
<v Speaker 2>have some other like Nava is in eighty seven I
<v Speaker 2>got seventeen points.
<v Speaker 5>That was really good.
<v Speaker 2>Dragon's Dogma two, which was my first pick, eighty seven,
<v Speaker 2>seventeen points, like I was in a good position to
<v Speaker 2>catch up to the winner. But but Microsoft Flight Simulator
<v Speaker 2>two thousand got a ninety three or something like that
<v Speaker 2>or ninety one at least did very well. I was
<v Speaker 2>expecting that to hit and Dragon Age the Veil Guard.
<v Speaker 2>I was expecting this to be a return to form,
<v Speaker 2>as all the reviews said for Dragon Age the Veil Guard,
<v Speaker 2>and it got a seventy nine. So and then at
<v Speaker 2>you know, Fliximular To twenty twenty four gout seventy six,
<v Speaker 2>so between those two, that's like where my opportunity to
<v Speaker 2>catch up to the winner was. And when both of
<v Speaker 2>those didn't hit, I didn't really stand a chance. Things
<v Speaker 2>like Mario and Luigi Brothership I didn't have a ton
<v Speaker 2>of faith in necessarily, but I was.
<v Speaker 5>Like, maybe that'll get a lower or eighty. It didn't
<v Speaker 5>do that, got a seventy seven.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, got some luck from like Nava and Infinity
<v Speaker 2>Nikki and Path of the Goddess, but overall it was
<v Speaker 2>just not quite enough.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I yeah, you did scoop up Infinity Nicki there.
<v Speaker 3>I was thinking about that as one of my last ones,
<v Speaker 3>but I didn't know how that would hit with people.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like their review scores tend to be a
<v Speaker 3>little lower for free to play games in general, regardless
<v Speaker 3>of the contents. I was a little worried about that one.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, ten points is solid there.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, hey, I'll take that ten points for Infinity Nikki
<v Speaker 2>for sure, especially at that point when I was picking.
<v Speaker 5>It was my last game that I picked.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then you know, my Power World right lost
<v Speaker 2>me maybe a point, it says yes, yeah, because the rounding.
<v Speaker 3>I think you didn't actually lose anything. I think Nikki
<v Speaker 3>also didn't. No, I think they lost the full one,
<v Speaker 3>so it's yeah, just however the rounding there worked out.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then me and the Hollowers, so both those,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I didn't get anything from those, but the
<v Speaker 2>position that I was drafting in the point where I
<v Speaker 2>did my second counterpick, that's best case scenario.
<v Speaker 3>Really yeah, all right. And then lastly first place here.
<v Speaker 3>I can't even be mad. He just played the game. Well,
<v Speaker 3>you know, he just had some years picks here. He
<v Speaker 3>got two of the three top reviewed games, and he
<v Speaker 3>drafted Foul Fantasy seventary birth. He hilariously blew on most
<v Speaker 3>all of his budget, I think seventy of one hundred
<v Speaker 3>dollars on Astrobot, which.
<v Speaker 4>Did pay off, incidentally, because I didn't understand how the
<v Speaker 4>betting thing.
<v Speaker 3>Who it is? Yeah, Dan, you shut up my UF
<v Speaker 3>fifties on his list ninety one score there. Both of
<v Speaker 3>his counterpicks didn't lose a points. There, your winner for
<v Speaker 3>the year records market its own, Dan Reikert, very good, d.
<v Speaker 4>Handily that the point spread is really impressive when you
<v Speaker 4>look at it. That's the thing that impressed me when
<v Speaker 4>you look at the three below me. I got one
<v Speaker 4>forty two. That's just that's a massive spread there. Look
<v Speaker 4>at that.
<v Speaker 3>Yah. Yeah, Mike's right, you did have a game that
<v Speaker 3>scored zero point, but we just had so many like here,
<v Speaker 3>let's just run down the winning list here, Foul Fancy,
<v Speaker 3>Sound of Rebirth ninety three, Princess Peach, Showtime seventy five,
<v Speaker 3>Paper Mario thousand Year, Door Remake eighty nine, Frost Punk
<v Speaker 3>two eighty five, Astrobot ninety five, Ripped the Necro Dancer
<v Speaker 3>didn't release, but Black Ops six eighty three, UFO fifty
<v Speaker 3>ninety one and tom Blast eighty five, and Mighty Morphem
<v Speaker 3>Power Rangers, Rita's rewind you broke even on so you
<v Speaker 3>didn't lose any points. So yeah, just a really good list.
<v Speaker 3>Nicely done. Well, explain your list please, Danny. Any surprises,
<v Speaker 3>anything that you were really happy about.
<v Speaker 4>I think when it was my turn to pick, I
<v Speaker 4>looked at the list of games and I picked the
<v Speaker 4>ones that I thought seemed the best and would review.
<v Speaker 4>The best was mystrate interesting, And then I screwed up
<v Speaker 4>and didn't know how this worked, and I lost my
<v Speaker 4>log in a million times throughout the year, and I
<v Speaker 4>just got really lucky every time I logged in. It
<v Speaker 4>was the right time where I could take a game
<v Speaker 4>that did well not knowing.
<v Speaker 5>How it worked.
<v Speaker 2>Helped you with astro Oh, because you put so much
<v Speaker 2>money into that, and I'm like, I put like forty
<v Speaker 2>five dollars on that. No one else third that much
<v Speaker 2>money for Astrobot, And I'm like, but I know that,
<v Speaker 2>you know all these guys won it, so I'm gonna
<v Speaker 2>go for it and I'm gonna get it.
<v Speaker 5>And then you put seventy dollars on it or whatever.
<v Speaker 4>I thought that was a maximum, and uh, it worked out.
<v Speaker 4>I was I was bummed when I saw that I
<v Speaker 4>actually spent all seventy whatever. But then I thought, well,
<v Speaker 4>I'm probably gonna probably pays off that I got that.
<v Speaker 4>It clearly did. Yes, Yeah, I think it was after
<v Speaker 4>was it after the trailer went up, because that's when
<v Speaker 4>it shows up on this I think is when the
<v Speaker 4>games actually announced, and so I think we saw the
<v Speaker 4>trailer and it was like, Okay, that looks there's no
<v Speaker 4>way that's not going to be incredible.
<v Speaker 2>But I mean, let's be Yeah, if you had not
<v Speaker 2>done that and I won, that, I would have won
<v Speaker 2>like that would have it would have flipped it, so yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 3>Dan did steal Black Ops six from me. He just
<v Speaker 3>barely beat me out in the bidding, which means I
<v Speaker 3>would have been in third place as well because the
<v Speaker 3>math works out there. But he just barely got that
<v Speaker 3>one too, and that one really paid out there. It's
<v Speaker 3>those thirteen points. So yeah, again, he just pick the
<v Speaker 3>best games basically done.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, he's got like actually three of the four highest
<v Speaker 2>reviewed games, and yeah that's crazy.
<v Speaker 4>That helps yeaheah, that's good. Yeah, Showtime was. I don't
<v Speaker 4>think I expected to get a ton of points from Showtime,
<v Speaker 4>but I got some, which is you know, it's it
<v Speaker 4>definitely underperformed. I think we all thought it would maybe
<v Speaker 4>do a little bit better than seventy five. I could
<v Speaker 4>see it closer to like eighty or something, but yeah,
<v Speaker 4>playing the game, I think seventy five is about right.
<v Speaker 6>So I was a good early get for you. My
<v Speaker 6>thousand year Darf number three was was brilliant. That game
<v Speaker 6>was always gonna review pretty well, but then it also
<v Speaker 6>happened to be like a very well done remake too,
<v Speaker 6>so yeah, it's an impressive list. Like mny More from
<v Speaker 6>Powered Ritos, Rewind was like a good latepool it didn't
<v Speaker 6>quite pay to throw money into something.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, some points there.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, you never know.
<v Speaker 3>It's hard to break than to lose.
<v Speaker 1>So and ton blast though, Dan.
<v Speaker 4>Wow, it was also late and it was like I
<v Speaker 4>have some money and it's like, let's see what's still available,
<v Speaker 4>and that was on there, and I was like, I
<v Speaker 4>didn't really know much about it, but I had heard
<v Speaker 4>Grub bring it up a couple of times. I looked
<v Speaker 4>it up. Looked like a warrior Land type thing, So yeah,
<v Speaker 4>why not?
<v Speaker 1>Ye, very nice.
<v Speaker 5>Congratulations, Dan Reicher, Thank you, thank you.
<v Speaker 4>Where do I win?
<v Speaker 5>All right, let's move on?
<v Speaker 4>Yes, yes, thank you, Sean.
<v Speaker 1>Why don't you tell the folks at home what is
<v Speaker 1>the consequence for going getting last place?
<v Speaker 3>That's right, So, forgetting ninth place, Lucy James has to
<v Speaker 3>play the worst reviewed game on this list. I don't
<v Speaker 3>know quite how we're gonna do that, because there's two
<v Speaker 3>of them. I would like to hold her to both
<v Speaker 3>if we could, because that'd be fine. Y confirmed she
<v Speaker 3>is at least going to do a stream of Skull
<v Speaker 3>and Bones, and maybe we'll also force her to play
<v Speaker 3>some Foam Stars twelve hour streams each.
<v Speaker 1>She has to wear the Donkey Kong. Yeah, so Lucy,
<v Speaker 1>you're gonna have to play both. That's just how that
<v Speaker 1>just checks out. That sounds good.
<v Speaker 2>I thought that was pretty successful. That worked out pretty good.
<v Speaker 5>You know.
<v Speaker 2>I would make some change to the fantasy critic personally,
<v Speaker 2>I would like maybe make it quarterly or something like that.
<v Speaker 5>But I say we do it again.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I would do it again.
<v Speaker 5>We got a draft planned up ready to go jan.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, so because the whole crew is not here and
<v Speaker 1>we want to just double check if everyone wants to
<v Speaker 1>participate in it. The draft will be coming in two
<v Speaker 1>weeks January twenty fourth, so right before any big games
<v Speaker 1>are popping out. We still have time to swoop on stuff.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe more things will get delayed, who knows, but yes,
<v Speaker 1>maybe to make sure that it is something front of mine,
<v Speaker 1>we will have like once a month check ups on it,
<v Speaker 1>just so people are staying on top of it.
<v Speaker 3>Or maybe that's how we make it quarterly. We do
<v Speaker 3>quarterly checkups. Yeah, because like I remember, jam Me and
<v Speaker 3>you did that episode when everyone was gone and we
<v Speaker 3>need something to do. But yeah, it may we make
<v Speaker 3>it more right thing.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you Commissioner for that lovely round up and explainer.
<v Speaker 1>On Fantasy Critic. Congratulations once again to the champion, Dan Reikert,
<v Speaker 1>and congratulations to Lucy for having to play Skull and Bones.
<v Speaker 1>Can she play Foam Stars?
<v Speaker 4>I think they do a doubleheader streams Skull and Foams,
<v Speaker 4>Lucy James, Skull and Foams double header stream. Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, people were wow, they are they're cutting off new content,
<v Speaker 3>but the servers are still up. You can still play
<v Speaker 3>that game, so.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, all right, that's right.
<v Speaker 2>And they said there's no no, no, no announcement of
<v Speaker 2>it's shutting down.
<v Speaker 5>So yeah, we were good.
<v Speaker 1>There, goll in Foams. Okay, well that's good. That's good
<v Speaker 1>folks at home. We're going to take a quick bricky
<v Speaker 1>break and we'll be right back with the Rolling Stones.
<v Speaker 1>Fifty best games of all time.
<v Speaker 4>That's the Rolling Stones were guests, okay.
<v Speaker 1>And we are back, folks. If you missed it, we
<v Speaker 1>determined our own top ten games of twenty twenty four.
<v Speaker 1>Go and listen to the Game of the Year podcast.
<v Speaker 1>We all had a very fun time. We're all yelling
<v Speaker 1>during that as well, so.
<v Speaker 4>So it's for TikTok folks.
<v Speaker 1>It's yeah, we were all None of us actually had
<v Speaker 1>a love or like a stick mic. We all just
<v Speaker 1>had like the tiny DGI or road mics that we're
<v Speaker 1>just holding up the whole time.
<v Speaker 5>I pen mine in my hat.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, folks at home. The Rolling Stones put out their
<v Speaker 1>top fifty greatest video games of all time earlier this week,
<v Speaker 1>January sixth of this week, and they put out a
<v Speaker 1>top fifty of games, and I would like to talk
<v Speaker 1>about those top fifty of games. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>you gents have seen the list peruse the list at all,
<v Speaker 1>but there's some notable additions and o missions on it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and I think it's worth like they talk a
<v Speaker 2>little bit about their thought presses here to pick the
<v Speaker 2>best games ever made. There's a lot of considerations. Gaming
<v Speaker 2>is a medium where sequels thrive. They can always look
<v Speaker 2>and play better. And while certain game I mean Dynasties
<v Speaker 2>run dozens of entries deep, they need to be need
<v Speaker 2>there needs to be representation across the board. So I
<v Speaker 2>think they're kind of saying that they're going to try
<v Speaker 2>to consider usually maybe the first entry most of the
<v Speaker 2>time or or something like that represents the series in
<v Speaker 2>a lot of these cases. And then I think they're
<v Speaker 2>also going to consider how influential something was when it arrived.
<v Speaker 5>They said that in the Yay.
<v Speaker 2>For this list, we looked at both how influential each
<v Speaker 2>game was at arrival as well as other as well
<v Speaker 2>as well as whether it still holds up. So they're
<v Speaker 2>going to kind of wait those things side by side,
<v Speaker 2>so importance matters in this list.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah. I do kind of like the idea of, like,
<v Speaker 4>you know, one per franchise for the most part, because
<v Speaker 4>like you know, I've done a bunch of these before
<v Speaker 4>and it always just winds up being like, well, the
<v Speaker 4>top fifteen is going to be a much fun metal year.
<v Speaker 4>Zelda and Mario and yeah nice, Yeah, I think, yeah,
<v Speaker 4>but they don't necessarily stick to that.
<v Speaker 6>They do have like there's multiple Zelda games as multipmorial
<v Speaker 6>games as a couple.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah. I think theyre just kind of saying they want
<v Speaker 5>to be mindful of its kind of what it seems like.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Yeah, we're not going to go through all fifty
<v Speaker 1>games piece meal, but I do want to go through
<v Speaker 1>their top ten at least ten. They have Super Metroid
<v Speaker 1>number nine, The Elder Scrolls five, Skyrim eight, the Original
<v Speaker 1>Final Fantasy seven, number seven, Medle Gear Solid, Yeah, ninety
<v Speaker 1>ninety eight, number six, Half Life two, number five, The
<v Speaker 1>Last of Us number four, Super Mario World number three,
<v Speaker 1>Grand Theft Out of five, number two, Tetris nineteen eighty
<v Speaker 1>nine for the game Boy, number one, The Legend of Zelda,
<v Speaker 1>Breath of the Wild.
<v Speaker 4>That is not a crazy top ten. It's not like
<v Speaker 4>a wild No.
<v Speaker 3>The way people were passing, Yeah, I thought it would
<v Speaker 3>be like someone else did this. I was like a
<v Speaker 3>crazy top ten, Like how could you think? No, this
<v Speaker 3>is like, especially if you're having people a little more
<v Speaker 3>casual about gaming talk about yeah, like this checks out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 6>The issue with this, the biggest issue with this in
<v Speaker 6>the list in general the fifties, that there isn't a
<v Speaker 6>single three D Mario game in it that is Yeah,
<v Speaker 6>it's wild.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, especially shine It.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's got it's got Madden on there. It's got
<v Speaker 2>a Madden NFL two thousand and four, a great game.
<v Speaker 4>It was like the peak of Madden for me to
<v Speaker 4>PS two era Madden.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's it's interesting to me because like, you know,
<v Speaker 3>it's there listening to it however they want. I don't
<v Speaker 3>think that you include influence on a list of top
<v Speaker 3>games because they said themselves like games could always play
<v Speaker 3>better games could always look better, but the games that
<v Speaker 3>I think hold up are the games that still hold
<v Speaker 3>up regardless of age. You know, like you're sing a
<v Speaker 3>lot of these Mario Brothers three or something Mario World
<v Speaker 3>linked to the past, but like and then to not
<v Speaker 3>include if you are including importance, not having any three
<v Speaker 3>D Mario at all, even in the top fifty feels weird.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, anyway, I remember that is such a hard
<v Speaker 4>thing to do when you I remember one of the
<v Speaker 4>first Game in Former issues I worked on was the
<v Speaker 4>two hundredth issue. We did the top two hundred games
<v Speaker 4>of all time, and it did turn out that, like
<v Speaker 4>influence and everything wound up to be a big thing,
<v Speaker 4>like the first Zelda one number one on our top
<v Speaker 4>two hundred, and the big argument there was that, like,
<v Speaker 4>well it just the influence was you know, insane on that,
<v Speaker 4>and then you know, like Tetris Mario three were ones
<v Speaker 4>that were afterwards, So like, you really have to do
<v Speaker 4>it differentiate if it's like best games to play now
<v Speaker 4>or it's just always hard to do in these fucking lists.
<v Speaker 3>It really is to define it beforehand. That's all it is.
<v Speaker 3>And neither is.
<v Speaker 6>Mario though, Like, okay, influential, then sixty four has to
<v Speaker 6>be there, right, yeah, right, even if you're one of
<v Speaker 6>the people who think.
<v Speaker 4>That game has aged poorly, which can't be me.
<v Speaker 6>Okay, then just do Odyssey, which is just one of
<v Speaker 6>the best playing games ever, you know, in the Galaxy
<v Speaker 6>game that's just wild exactly.
<v Speaker 3>Odyssey is like a borderline perfect video game for what's
<v Speaker 3>trying to accomplish. I struggle to think of anything wrong
<v Speaker 3>with it, So it's yeah, wild to not consider it.
<v Speaker 1>I think, Yeah, maybe only hats, that's that's the thing
<v Speaker 1>above it.
<v Speaker 5>That's true.
<v Speaker 6>I made a whole team in Marves's Capcom two of
<v Speaker 6>just the ladies who wear.
<v Speaker 4>Old games here.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, how do you feel about GDQ having the the
<v Speaker 3>rat tals? That's that's being a meme rat.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I've seen that. Yeah, I endorse it with these
<v Speaker 4>older ones like you know, Tetriss and Mario World being
<v Speaker 4>in the top ten or Super Metroid like they they
<v Speaker 4>had the influence and they're also still really fun to play. Yes, yeah,
<v Speaker 4>that's why it's like, I don't know, if I were
<v Speaker 4>putting one of these lists together now, I would put
<v Speaker 4>a link to the pass over the first one, because
<v Speaker 4>even though the first Zelda had more influence. Linked to
<v Speaker 4>the Past has that same style, but also looks good
<v Speaker 4>and plays good.
<v Speaker 6>Now you know, yeah, Zoda one is interesting because that's like,
<v Speaker 6>I still like have fun playing Zoda one for sure.
<v Speaker 6>That is kind of getting to the point, like how
<v Speaker 6>many people really would rather play Zoda one than a
<v Speaker 6>Link to the Past or just you know, one of
<v Speaker 6>the newers Zelda's.
<v Speaker 5>I wouldn't like recommend it, so on, Hey, where do
<v Speaker 5>I get into zel.
<v Speaker 4>It would have to be for nostalgia. I can't imagine
<v Speaker 4>someone saying, like, Link to the Past does not play
<v Speaker 4>better than the first time.
<v Speaker 2>I would say, okay, play Breath of the Wild and
<v Speaker 2>then go back and play Zelda one and see how
<v Speaker 2>they like draw They drew the line between the two,
<v Speaker 2>and they're like, let's complete the ideas that we had
<v Speaker 2>in Zelda one, like it would be informational, be educational,
<v Speaker 2>which speaks to its importance. I think still, but it's
<v Speaker 2>not the game I'm ever gonna say, Hey, if you
<v Speaker 2>want to get into Zelda, go start with Zelda one.
<v Speaker 5>That would never be the answer for anybody.
<v Speaker 3>To be fair. Being a bit younger here, I didn't
<v Speaker 3>get to Zelda one until what it was out on
<v Speaker 3>the GameCube bonus disc for uh you know, that was
<v Speaker 3>the wind Waker pre order one that had that, right.
<v Speaker 4>The pre order was the Master Quest I think. And
<v Speaker 4>there's like that Club Nintendo one if you bought the
<v Speaker 4>Great One.
<v Speaker 3>I think it was included in GameCubes. I think it was.
<v Speaker 3>That was the bundle one. Okay, so then yeah, on
<v Speaker 3>that one. That's why I first played Zelda one. I
<v Speaker 3>was like, you know what, but still pretty fun, like even.
<v Speaker 2>Still hold up, but you know, it's better than even
<v Speaker 2>than its reputation, lindsay.
<v Speaker 3>And then I fired up an emulator and try to
<v Speaker 3>a link to the past. I'm like, oh, this is
<v Speaker 3>just better though, So yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 6>Okay, So I'm a Red the Redemption two defender. They
<v Speaker 6>have that at sixteen and not Red Dead one on
<v Speaker 6>the list. That's a little wild to me.
<v Speaker 4>They're very different games, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So
<v Speaker 4>that's why in that instance, I would see like if
<v Speaker 4>they wanted to put both red Heads on there, I
<v Speaker 4>could see that because they are different enough, you know, yeah, sure,
<v Speaker 4>but I don't think they did they even put both
<v Speaker 4>of them on there.
<v Speaker 6>But this again, again I defend Red Dead two that
<v Speaker 6>high on the best fifty games ever. Again, what's the
<v Speaker 6>type of influential I don't think red is Redemption two
<v Speaker 6>as influence on any.
<v Speaker 2>I think I mean the influences that is, like, boy,
<v Speaker 2>we can't spend that kind of money.
<v Speaker 3>We can't make our game look like that.
<v Speaker 4>Geezeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm pleasantly surprised. Whenever website or whoever puts out
<v Speaker 1>these big lists, I'm always more focused on like the
<v Speaker 1>lower end. And I'm happy that Krona Trigger made it on.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah for sure, happy that Tony Hawk even made it on.
<v Speaker 2>But time spurs Skater one at twenty twenty three. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that's that's one where it's like Tony Ox first Skater
<v Speaker 2>one is a good game. It's a very good game.
<v Speaker 5>Boy.
<v Speaker 2>The sequel, you're right a rolling stone in that pre
<v Speaker 2>in that preliminary paragraph. Uh, the sequel does play better
<v Speaker 2>in an important and influential way where it's like Tony
<v Speaker 2>Oks pro Skater two is the game that actually ended
<v Speaker 2>up making the whole genre happen. So I think if
<v Speaker 2>you're gonna pick one that is the right balance between
<v Speaker 2>important and play as well, it probably is town X
<v Speaker 2>pros Skater two, but I would I personally put on there.
<v Speaker 6>Always stick to that. Like their Pokemon game here is
<v Speaker 6>Gold and Silver. It's not yet in Blue, and I
<v Speaker 6>agree gold and Silver is better, but like Deadly the
<v Speaker 6>influential one Gold and Silver.
<v Speaker 3>Anytime someonem picks Gold and Silver as the best Pokemon
<v Speaker 3>game of all time, you can tell exactly where they
<v Speaker 3>stopped playing Pokemon as well, because those are not the
<v Speaker 3>best game in the franchise.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I was going to ask you, Sean for Pokemon representation.
<v Speaker 1>If you were to put a Pokemon game on this
<v Speaker 1>list or a top fifty, which one would it be.
<v Speaker 3>I think the best Pokemon game overall is either Black
<v Speaker 3>and White or Park Gold Soul Silver, Like why Hardco
<v Speaker 3>Soul Silver is in many ways just better. It's just
<v Speaker 3>they remade it. Some people say, oh, it's so slow,
<v Speaker 3>and I'm like, as if the Game Boy ones weren't.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, that that's a that's one there where you
<v Speaker 3>can tell that nostalgia is taking over there because they
<v Speaker 3>put the original set of the remake.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, wow, I just searched Soul Calver and that
<v Speaker 4>is not on here. That's like a top ten ever
<v Speaker 4>for me. And then I looked and it's like fighting
<v Speaker 4>game wise, no Moral Kombat, no tech and no Virtual Fighter.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I think Smashi and Street Fighter. That's like, what's important.
<v Speaker 4>Moral Kombat or the big two man sol Cob and
<v Speaker 4>not being down here. That's crazy to me.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, this might just be be me, am I the
<v Speaker 6>only one who rolls my eyes that we sports being
<v Speaker 6>on this thing.
<v Speaker 4>No, yes, no, it's appropriate. You are the only one, Mike,
<v Speaker 4>Yes you are. That's fine. Yeah, it's okay to be
<v Speaker 4>alone and right sometimes no police sports is a huge thing.
<v Speaker 3>And Mike also, Mike, and I hates our kadie fun
<v Speaker 3>you know.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, that's great, that's right.
<v Speaker 6>Jeff was in me yesterday and a ton of fun,
<v Speaker 6>except when he was leaving me in Third Strike.
<v Speaker 4>I was a great time.
<v Speaker 3>I'm glad you still let him beat you on thurs Right,
<v Speaker 3>damn dude.
<v Speaker 4>I got him real good and Marvel versus cap one two.
<v Speaker 2>But we were we were leaving and he was he
<v Speaker 2>was God, he wasn't mopen, but you could tell he
<v Speaker 2>was a little wounded. And then he saw the Marvel
<v Speaker 2>versus Capcom two machine and sat me down.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, exactly.
<v Speaker 5>It was very fun.
<v Speaker 2>Hallow night at thirty four sound right to you folks
<v Speaker 2>that have been I've.
<v Speaker 4>Come around on Hollidnight to I like it and it's
<v Speaker 4>very good. I would not have it on the top fifty,
<v Speaker 4>you know, I have no problem with it. I think
<v Speaker 4>that game.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, that's I was kind of asking.
<v Speaker 4>I have a problem with the one Mario card on
<v Speaker 4>here being Mario Karts sixty four.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, agreed that and I met just before it's my
<v Speaker 6>time to say boomer pick.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah there.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's like maybe second worst Mario Kart, you know.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, that's nostalgia. We rare franchises, Christ Chime, Mario Carter,
<v Speaker 3>Oh my good god, Sean please, there's a rare series
<v Speaker 3>that kind of just only got better as it went on,
<v Speaker 3>like Super Circy on GBA. Sure as a dip back
<v Speaker 3>because it's like Super Nintendo again, but are on that
<v Speaker 3>that kind of just you know, made it better as
<v Speaker 3>they went on.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, definitely Devil Dash are better than this by far.
<v Speaker 3>Definitely Memories there, but seven, you know, again giving them credit.
<v Speaker 3>This list also has like Symphony Night is on there.
<v Speaker 3>They also have Celeste Is on here, Metroid Prime. You know,
<v Speaker 3>even they're a little bit lower. Shadow of the Clauses,
<v Speaker 3>like they're recognizing some of.
<v Speaker 4>The all time grades.
<v Speaker 1>That That's what I was gonna ask, because I feel
<v Speaker 1>like Shadow of the Clauses is probably on MOTT what
<v Speaker 1>would be my personal top ten fifty games of all time.
<v Speaker 1>I'm actually surprised to see it represented here, and maybe
<v Speaker 1>this is just me thinking it was more niche of
<v Speaker 1>a game when it came out.
<v Speaker 5>Does it feels niche?
<v Speaker 1>It is?
<v Speaker 6>I think Shadow I think it's a bit more niche.
<v Speaker 6>I love it. It would be on like my top twenty.
<v Speaker 4>Shadow is my number sixty five, sixty five game of
<v Speaker 4>all time.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, yeah, it's on my top one hundred is well,
<v Speaker 5>I can't remember where.
<v Speaker 2>It's just it's the at the time when it came out,
<v Speaker 2>even though it's definitely niche now, the time it came out,
<v Speaker 2>it was sort of a statement game of saying this
<v Speaker 2>is what games can do, and everyone bought into that rightfully,
<v Speaker 2>so it earned that Okay, Okay, yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I do it didn't it is a niche pick though,
<v Speaker 3>because it never sold well. It was always a cult classic.
<v Speaker 2>No, yeah, yeah, but I think it definitely represented a
<v Speaker 2>vision for what games we're going to be going for
<v Speaker 2>it that didn't pay it was, but it's.
<v Speaker 3>A game that you know, I don't like it myself,
<v Speaker 3>but I always respected it because of what it was doing,
<v Speaker 3>the scale I was going for, Like it was a
<v Speaker 3>different vibe of game being very calm and everything like that.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see
<v Speaker 3>it in a list like this as because if people
<v Speaker 3>have played it, they recognize it.
<v Speaker 1>You know, Mike MINAUGHTI are you you're a big Overwatch guy.
<v Speaker 1>Were you surprised that maybe an Overwatch didn't make this
<v Speaker 1>top fifty?
<v Speaker 6>No, it's funny because gosh, Overwatch is just one of
<v Speaker 6>the best reviewed things ever when it first came out, right,
<v Speaker 6>But that's the thing with these live service games. You're
<v Speaker 6>kind of only as good as you are now. I
<v Speaker 6>Mean we saw that with just Teking eight and within
<v Speaker 6>the span of a year, right, Like we looked at
<v Speaker 6>our Fantasy Critic and that game was so ro reviewed,
<v Speaker 6>begame of the year, right, and then come game of
<v Speaker 6>the year time, nobody wanted to really talk about it anymore.
<v Speaker 6>In fact, like the sentiment around it is sort of
<v Speaker 6>negative now, especially with like the hardcore fans with that one. Yeah,
<v Speaker 6>Overwatched is just in a rough spot right now. They
<v Speaker 6>can call it Overwatch too, but it's basically been that
<v Speaker 6>same game, that same lineage there. So yeah, it's maybe
<v Speaker 6>a little bit unfair because we're talking about influence, you know,
<v Speaker 6>incredibly influential in a lot of ways.
<v Speaker 4>I think maybe they could have found room for here.
<v Speaker 6>Maybe we didn't need to have a Madden game and
<v Speaker 6>an NBA two K game on here.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean, I those are both very good games
<v Speaker 2>and very widely played.
<v Speaker 5>I get it, but I think I'll probably agree with.
<v Speaker 1>You, Mike.
<v Speaker 3>I noticed this until chat pointed out not a single
<v Speaker 3>Mega Man franchise game.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, that's wrong.
<v Speaker 6>It doesn't surprise, like, you know, the popular picks they
<v Speaker 6>should have and could have gone with here Mega Man
<v Speaker 6>two and Mega Man X. Meg Man X is usually
<v Speaker 6>the one that can squeeze onto these things, so yeah,
<v Speaker 6>I would like to see that. I am happy that
<v Speaker 6>they aren't one of those. Sonic was never good people.
<v Speaker 6>They did get SONK the Hedgehog two.
<v Speaker 3>They did pick two, though, which is like, eh.
<v Speaker 5>Game ever, Sonic.
<v Speaker 3>Even me and might cround it the best song game ever,
<v Speaker 3>because we mean, we might did a stream where we
<v Speaker 3>did we ranked every Sonic game, and we forgot about
<v Speaker 3>Mania because we were like, oh, maybe it's just number one.
<v Speaker 3>We only need to talk about.
<v Speaker 4>It, Like it feels like it's good to be an
<v Speaker 4>actual son Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>Because it's a fan game that was just officially.
<v Speaker 4>But and I like son but it feels too good
<v Speaker 4>to be Sonic.
<v Speaker 6>It is funny when like actual Sega tried to make
<v Speaker 6>a two D Sonic game afterwards, The Sonic Superstars just
<v Speaker 6>good even then.
<v Speaker 3>I've always maintained that three Knuckles is the best of
<v Speaker 3>the classic ones because it's really good. Yeah, yeah, but
<v Speaker 3>two is very influential, exactly.
<v Speaker 4>Very good on Tuesday.
<v Speaker 1>It was the biggest in gaming history on Tuesday at the.
<v Speaker 5>Time of early marketing thing.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah yeah, Dan reichert, Yes, I know there's a lot
<v Speaker 1>of talk here about one game per franchise, but would
<v Speaker 1>you have put another Metal Gear on this top fifty.
<v Speaker 4>It's the thing I always argue with myself with about
<v Speaker 4>Middle Gear is like, that is one series that I
<v Speaker 4>could see really splitting up, because all I'd say, five
<v Speaker 4>of the numbered games are just so fucking different in
<v Speaker 4>a lot of ways, not just in story and setting
<v Speaker 4>and all that stuff. So like people ask me all
<v Speaker 4>the time, what's your favorite Meddle Year game? I don't
<v Speaker 4>know what to pick, and it changes every time I
<v Speaker 4>make one of these top lists. I have a different
<v Speaker 4>order of those right now. I recently watched Middle Year
<v Speaker 4>Solid four, and I was like, oh, right, the end
<v Speaker 4>of that is the coolest shit I've ever seen in
<v Speaker 4>a video game. So that's the fourth best game of
<v Speaker 4>all time. And that's how I feel right now. But
<v Speaker 4>I might believe this snaky to remake and be like, well,
<v Speaker 4>that's the best one, you know.
<v Speaker 3>Hang on dancing. I watched mel Year said for is
<v Speaker 3>just the most appropriate sentence ever, because that's what you do.
<v Speaker 4>I've played through it many times, but I just watch
<v Speaker 4>my sister play it.
<v Speaker 3>I see, okay, okay.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, but no, seriously, that is the best thing that's
<v Speaker 4>ever happened in the video game. Is the last fight
<v Speaker 4>and middle you're solid four, So uh, Mark, Yeah, if
<v Speaker 4>I had to pick what with that thing? But probably right?
<v Speaker 1>Thank you?
<v Speaker 4>Uh but yeah, if you're gonna pick one, especially for
<v Speaker 4>a list like this, I could see like Metal Your
<v Speaker 4>Solid one was almost like a Mario sixty four level
<v Speaker 4>of like, oh everything's new and everything's changed, you know,
<v Speaker 4>so I would put that it's.
<v Speaker 6>The one I would have picked as somebody who's like
<v Speaker 6>one step below maybe in terms of like my reference
<v Speaker 6>for Metal You're solid, which is still pretty high, but
<v Speaker 6>not Dan levels by. I think one in three are
<v Speaker 6>the ones that would make these kinds of lists.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, Like I told Dan recently, I only got to
<v Speaker 3>the full Metal year series only a few years ago,
<v Speaker 3>and one still absolutely holds up like that game is
<v Speaker 3>still fantastic to play.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, why's the one you do?
<v Speaker 5>One?
<v Speaker 3>There? You do one?
<v Speaker 2>Yep ye for this Rolling Stones Top fifty? Do you
<v Speaker 2>guys have one that?
<v Speaker 5>Like?
<v Speaker 2>It was like, really you think it's absolutely spot on?
<v Speaker 2>Because for me, I do think number one being Breadth
<v Speaker 2>of the Wild. Yeah, it is very very correct if
<v Speaker 2>your goal is influential and holds.
<v Speaker 4>Up also to Tetris, like I think Breath the Wild
<v Speaker 4>and Tetris and it's one and two. Can absolutely see.
<v Speaker 3>That, and look, we may not like it because of
<v Speaker 3>what it's done. GJ five at three honestly isn't a
<v Speaker 3>wild pick either.
<v Speaker 5>It's a great that's that's the one.
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, that's the one I was gonna say is
<v Speaker 2>my one like, I don't want that one's so high.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, mostly people all agree that's a great game.
<v Speaker 3>I know a lot of people are, you know, especially
<v Speaker 3>in the hardcore gaming crowd, the people who are listening
<v Speaker 3>to this podcast right now, we're sick of GT five
<v Speaker 3>by now. But if nothing else, boy, that influence was
<v Speaker 3>off the charts as well. So on top of being
<v Speaker 3>like a nine or ten out of ten game, it
<v Speaker 3>was just everyone wanted to be GT five for a
<v Speaker 3>long time.
<v Speaker 1>It's kind of wild though. Someone in chat pointed this
<v Speaker 1>out that there's no rock band. I think it's kind
<v Speaker 1>of wild. There's no guitar here, yeah, one some representation
<v Speaker 1>from that because that's guitar.
<v Speaker 4>Here too, maybe, yeah, probably, but yeah, hard right. You
<v Speaker 4>can always tell something like penetrated to the mainstream when
<v Speaker 4>like there's dedicated to South Park episodes about it.
<v Speaker 1>You know, we're guitar hero.
<v Speaker 4>I'm glad that we're a warcraft is on the list.
<v Speaker 1>It has to be, yeah, right, there's no possible way.
<v Speaker 5>It was like number twilty twelve. Right.
<v Speaker 1>Well, yeah, I'm happy that Mass Effect two made it
<v Speaker 1>on this list, and I think it's appropriate where it
<v Speaker 1>is in like that. I believe it's like the twenties.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, it sounds right.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah. The bottom half of that top ten is weird
<v Speaker 4>to me because you know, the Last of Us great
<v Speaker 4>game obviously, but that being number five, above Half Life two,
<v Speaker 4>Middle Year, Solid, Final, Fantasy seven, Skyrim just like seeing
<v Speaker 4>it on top of all those games, like, ooh boy,
<v Speaker 4>I like Last of Us a lot, but not above
<v Speaker 4>those espifintely influential, maybe in some bad ways.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, okay what and then yeah, Skyrim at nine real quick?
<v Speaker 5>Just I like that. I think that's probably pretty close
<v Speaker 5>to right.
<v Speaker 2>Probably not exactly right, but pretty close these days, I
<v Speaker 2>wonder if most people tend to agree.
<v Speaker 5>I don't wonder if the shines come up with SKI.
<v Speaker 3>I defer to other people on that. They had a
<v Speaker 3>whole long conversation about this over on Axl Blood God,
<v Speaker 3>so I was like listening to what they have to say.
<v Speaker 3>It by as like the big RPG fans, and I
<v Speaker 3>feel like everyone sort of like turned a little bit
<v Speaker 3>on Skyrim of like, you know, it was so big
<v Speaker 3>at the time, but at the same time, how does
<v Speaker 3>it play compared to other Western RPGs? Is it even
<v Speaker 3>the best Elder Scrolls game? And I do think what
<v Speaker 3>even my friends who really love Skyrim say, they're like, oh,
<v Speaker 3>Skyrim sucks. Skyrim with mods is the game that everyone
<v Speaker 3>actually wants to play.
<v Speaker 5>But maybe that should still count.
<v Speaker 2>Part of me wants to count that because if you've
<v Speaker 2>become a platform for that and that's how people interact
<v Speaker 2>the game.
<v Speaker 5>To mean, that's that's probably. I feel like if you
<v Speaker 5>get credit to the game, if.
<v Speaker 3>You're including influence in weighing your decision, that does because
<v Speaker 3>of how the community came together. And then yeah, like
<v Speaker 3>Bethesda played off of that with later releases, so.
<v Speaker 5>Sure exactly, And for this list, I think it makes sense.
<v Speaker 6>Skyrim still does really well the whole kind of like hey,
<v Speaker 6>get go and go wander around and have adventures thing,
<v Speaker 6>and it yes, it makes that very mainstream in a
<v Speaker 6>way that's very approachable, but it distills that very well.
<v Speaker 6>I do think this shine is going to come off,
<v Speaker 6>especially if that rumored Oblivion remake is real thing, because
<v Speaker 6>that is that's probably always a slightly better game in
<v Speaker 6>the big It was just that it was ugly.
<v Speaker 5>You know.
<v Speaker 4>If that's not ugly anymore, then yeah, it's gonna make Skyrim.
<v Speaker 1>Look a little worse, all right. Well, that was the
<v Speaker 1>That was Rolling Stones's.
<v Speaker 8>Saw MARKO sixty four again is good yay Uh for
<v Speaker 8>the wrestling folks, it's so weird that there's no no
<v Speaker 8>mercy or does no mercy not cut the top fifty?
<v Speaker 1>Maybe I'm just thinking of influences.
<v Speaker 4>Why let me all fix it? Jan mine w I
<v Speaker 4>have no Mercy is number twenty seven.
<v Speaker 1>So okay, that's thank you Dan for being on the
<v Speaker 1>right side of his You're welcome, You're welcome. That's why
<v Speaker 1>I'm hitching my wagon to you.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, to my list.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, correct, yes, tearless the correct list, folks. That was
<v Speaker 1>Fantasy Critic, and that was us chatting about Rolling Stones's
<v Speaker 1>top fifty games of all time. Uh, not quite enough
<v Speaker 1>time to deem and Browny mount rushmore of coolest things
<v Speaker 1>now doing a video game.
<v Speaker 5>That was That was a good episode of BCR right there.
<v Speaker 5>I feel good about it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that was solid app folks. If you are watching live,
<v Speaker 1>please stay tuned. An hour from now, we will be
<v Speaker 1>dipping into Marvel Rivals and then after that voicemail dump truck.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and for a BCR in the upcoming weeks. We
<v Speaker 2>have some plans. You know, there's just occasional week, we
<v Speaker 2>might take a week off to do something else, but
<v Speaker 2>we are. Sean mentioned he still wants to do the
<v Speaker 2>music review of twenty twenty four. Still that's still in the.
<v Speaker 5>Works, right.
<v Speaker 3>I think maybe even next week we could do that one.
<v Speaker 5>I think that's that sounds because I.
<v Speaker 3>Think doing that last year, I definitely want to do
<v Speaker 3>it again.
<v Speaker 5>Yep.
<v Speaker 2>And as we mentioned earlier, we will do a draft
<v Speaker 2>for for Fantasy Critic. We're gonna get that before January's
<v Speaker 2>over because games really start coming out.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, for the rest of the month, we basically just
<v Speaker 3>have like remasters and stuff coming out, So if we
<v Speaker 3>miss a couple of those, it's not the end of
<v Speaker 3>the world.
<v Speaker 5>We done.
<v Speaker 1>Hold on, hold on, I just need to do a
<v Speaker 1>control f here. Yeah, there's no BioShock on this list.
<v Speaker 6>Oh wow, well I would I love. I think for
<v Speaker 6>a lot of people it's maybe falling off a little bit.
<v Speaker 4>Buyer shocks a lot better than Mass Effect. We're talking
<v Speaker 4>two thousand and seven, can't. They were always talked about
<v Speaker 4>together and Mass Effects boring and BioShock was fun because
<v Speaker 4>she was wearing armor.
<v Speaker 3>What what now, there's seven.
<v Speaker 4>They were like the two big ambitionous like like it was.
<v Speaker 4>They were always mentioned that E three I was at
<v Speaker 4>and I remember everyone's talking about those two.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, now'll get the face as motherfucker you lost people
<v Speaker 3>to yell at him? Do you like him? No?
<v Speaker 4>I mean like bio is much better than mass Effect
<v Speaker 4>you don't like?
<v Speaker 1>Is there any Assassin's Creed on that list?
<v Speaker 4>I just actually they wouldn't make top three hundred. Asscrew
<v Speaker 4>two is like the number seven hundred eleventh best game
<v Speaker 4>of all time to be.
<v Speaker 2>Like Eldering is forty four, and if Eldering's forty four, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>Sassine screens Brian thirty four.
<v Speaker 6>Wow, no dark soul like no other from yeah people.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, definitely no lies of No strangers of Paradise. That's
<v Speaker 1>so weird, almost said Liza B. Like not funny in
<v Speaker 1>that wise of Paradise, folks. That does it for this
<v Speaker 1>week's Bobcast Revengeance, Thank you so much for joining us.
<v Speaker 1>Like Greb said, don't worry, we will get back into
<v Speaker 1>Fantasy Critic in two weeks. Sean's going to prepare a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of music to listen to next week. We're gonna
<v Speaker 1>have ourselves a little listening party pretty much it is
<v Speaker 1>the best music of twenty twenty four. So I'll just
<v Speaker 1>past music in general.
<v Speaker 3>I'll do like last year. We'll put a call out
<v Speaker 3>on Blue Sky and like get our un contribute what
<v Speaker 3>they like a lot last year. So it'll be a
<v Speaker 3>fun time.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it'll be a fun, fun listening app And maybe
<v Speaker 1>we won't crown a specific winner. Maybe we'll just have
<v Speaker 1>a good time listening to music and crown like a
<v Speaker 1>top three, four or five. Who knows?
<v Speaker 4>What the hell are people? The bad news? Ernest died,
<v Speaker 4>Ernest Jim Verney, he's been dead for a long.
<v Speaker 6>I think I think chat's goofing about Ernest Hemingway or
<v Speaker 6>something else.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know. He's probably also dead. I know a
<v Speaker 4>lot more about Jim Vernie, Ernest Way.
<v Speaker 3>I can tell you a lot about.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know a single thing a Sway other one
<v Speaker 4>save Christmas Man, Bill Burge. That ain't Earnest.
<v Speaker 1>Oh anyway, I who has been Jan He's been Jeff,
<v Speaker 1>he's been Turbo Shawn, he's been dead, and he's been
<v Speaker 1>the hoog slammer.
<v Speaker 4>Past this. Yeah we are folks.
<v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, don't worry.
<v Speaker 4>That'll get people to stop doing it, just to plead
<v Speaker 4>with them.
<v Speaker 2>The pox Slammer Dot Life, go to Park Labor night.
<v Speaker 4>Life, Mitch Tokoto's old foulup.
<v Speaker 1>Pl pumps and the left side is he could be
<v Speaker 1>low for the pog Slammer POGs Slammer Dad, can you
<v Speaker 1>just say pog slammer three thousand, Poor slammer three thousand,
