WWE Week in Review: Drew McIntyre's Memorable Promo, Joe Hendry's Embarrassing Christmas Segment, Austin Theory Wins

<v Speaker 3>the final week in review for twenty twenty five. Can
<v Speaker 3>believe it? Twenty twenty five has come and it's gone,
<v Speaker 3>and I hope that you survive the Christmas season here is.
<v Speaker 3>We now move into New Year's or, as many of
<v Speaker 3>us like to refer to it as kind of the void.
<v Speaker 3>We don't know what day it is, we don't know
<v Speaker 3>what time it is. We always have to be reminded
<v Speaker 3>what month it is. It's just that bizarre time of
<v Speaker 3>the year where not until mid January do we kind
<v Speaker 3>of get our calibration back. But here we are as
<v Speaker 3>we roll into twenty twenty six very soon. I hope
<v Speaker 3>everybody had again great Christmas, and you know, time to
<v Speaker 3>pay those bills, you know, time to pay for those
<v Speaker 3>things that we thought we could pay for before Christmas
<v Speaker 3>and now have to actually pay for in those monthly charges.
<v Speaker 3>But hopefully you didn't. Maybe maybe you were smarter than me,
<v Speaker 3>So we're going to get into the weekend view. We're
<v Speaker 3>also have kind of a combo mailbag show for those
<v Speaker 3>of you that sent in emails. We're going to answer

<v Speaker 3>Alrighty well, let's dive into as always this week in review,
<v Speaker 3>because there's a lot to get to and one kind
<v Speaker 3>of comment here on Stranger Things. I know this has
<v Speaker 3>nothing to do with which you clicked on here for
<v Speaker 3>the show, very briefly, because some of you may care,
<v Speaker 3>some of you may not. The Stranger Things season I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 3>Series finale is this Wednesday, and means seven of eight
<v Speaker 3>of the episodes have already been released. I will say
<v Speaker 3>the first four awesome, and then it kind of falls
<v Speaker 3>off a cliff. I won't give you any spoilers. I
<v Speaker 3>have some thoughts here, maybe on my other show that
<v Speaker 3>I do call the War on Truth, because it doesn't
<v Speaker 3>have anything to do with really wrestling. Neither does this,
<v Speaker 3>but it's a little deeper into other things that some
<v Speaker 3>of you are of course, you may may not agree
<v Speaker 3>with me on, but it's definitely off the beaten path
<v Speaker 3>of wrestling. So anyway, I hope you guys are enjoying
<v Speaker 3>Stranger Things that it kind of takes over the world
<v Speaker 3>for a very short time here and we get our
<v Speaker 3>series finale on Year's Eve night. All right, let's do it,
<v Speaker 3>as I said, because there's some stuff to get to.
<v Speaker 3>Despite this being a holiday week. There are some things
<v Speaker 3>that were just very very much a Vince McMahon esque
<v Speaker 3>feel to this week now, and a lot of the
<v Speaker 3>Vince McMahon era holiday shows, many of them were just
<v Speaker 3>just a joke. I mean, there are just constant phrases
<v Speaker 3>to gifts, and you know, trying to have a play
<v Speaker 3>on words of my gift is going to be defeating you.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, it's like the same promo over and over
<v Speaker 3>from everybody. Horrible. And you'd think that with Triple H
<v Speaker 3>now in charge, that things are going to change wholesale,
<v Speaker 3>and they haven't. Guys, they haven't, Like fundamentally, they haven't
<v Speaker 3>changed at all, other than they continue to pull back
<v Speaker 3>the curtain, which I've hammered on many times, and they
<v Speaker 3>continue to and then pretend that there's a demand for
<v Speaker 3>more of that, And I really doubt those metrics. I'd
<v Speaker 3>love to know what data sources they're using, or what
<v Speaker 3>surveys they're sending out, what R and D they're using
<v Speaker 3>to come to the conclusion that, in fact, the fans
<v Speaker 3>want more of the curtain pulled back. Well again, I
<v Speaker 3>don't know how much more of the curtain you could
<v Speaker 3>pull back. I don't, but this week to circle back
<v Speaker 3>on point, we got a very Vince McMahon feeling SmackDown
<v Speaker 3>with the traditional eye rolling garbage segments that have to
<v Speaker 3>do with Christmas. And I have nothing against Christmas. I'm
<v Speaker 3>talking about like the silliness of pro wrestling and Christmas
<v Speaker 3>when it gets combined is horrible. And we got that
<v Speaker 3>this week sadly, with Joe Hendry involved, and Otis and
<v Speaker 3>Tzala I forget who the other victims were, and a
<v Speaker 3>bunch of no names that were dressed up in Santa Outfitz,
<v Speaker 3>a bunch of women. I'm guessing we're local wrestling talent,
<v Speaker 3>and it was horrible. It was embarrassing. We'll get to
<v Speaker 3>that in just a few minutes here, but let's start.
<v Speaker 3>Let's start at the top of the show, because that's
<v Speaker 3>what we're going to do here. Let's see here. So
<v Speaker 3>the show, though, did open with Cody Road shown walking backstage.
<v Speaker 3>He was approached by Nick Aldis. Cody asked if Drew
<v Speaker 3>had a round and all This said he hadn't, and
<v Speaker 3>he reminded Cody that no physicality would be allowed once
<v Speaker 3>McIntyre signed the contract. Miss showed up after Cody walked
<v Speaker 3>away and said where is he? And all just played
<v Speaker 3>dumb because he didn't he knew the Mis didn't want
<v Speaker 3>to say Joe Hendry's name, and all this eventually mentioned
<v Speaker 3>Henry's name and he was shown in the ring with
<v Speaker 3>the women and otis dressed and Santa attire, and it
<v Speaker 3>gets worse because they're also mixing in Easter here with
<v Speaker 3>someone in an Easter Rodey costume. That person was revealed
<v Speaker 3>and that maybe the only saving grace of who was
<v Speaker 3>playing that person could have been the only one playing
<v Speaker 3>that person. But Akira Tazau again was the elf on
<v Speaker 3>a shelf. Henry sang his own version of jingle Bells
<v Speaker 3>the lyrics about mis having tiny balls, and the Miz
<v Speaker 3>comes out and interrupts and says, you know, no, no, no,
<v Speaker 3>and Henry said the Miz was upset because they started
<v Speaker 3>singing without him, and Hendry saying, Miz has tiny balls.
<v Speaker 3>He'd rather be in Hollywood, but they won't return his calls,
<v Speaker 3>miss them to the ring and demanded they clear it
<v Speaker 3>so they could have a match. Then that match was
<v Speaker 3>made on a miracle on thirty fourth Street fight. We
<v Speaker 3>don't need that, we I mean, I will say this
<v Speaker 3>and look I think Joe Hendry does have a bright
<v Speaker 3>future in WWE. But the more they tease Joe Hendry
<v Speaker 3>coming in and then he leaves, which hasn't helped over
<v Speaker 3>the last couple of years on the main roster anyway,
<v Speaker 3>where he comes in the rumble or he appears at
<v Speaker 3>WrestleMania and then you think they're finally gonna give him, like,
<v Speaker 3>you know, consistent time on the main roster, and then
<v Speaker 3>they don't. That doesn't help because it's like uh uh uh.
<v Speaker 3>You know, it's fun, but then he disappears, and I
<v Speaker 3>know someone's gonna say, well, someone needs to say his name. Okay,
<v Speaker 3>got it, but you gotta eventually drop the shoe. You
<v Speaker 3>cannot continue to do that to the crowd because they're
<v Speaker 3>either gonna say crapp or get off the pot. And
<v Speaker 3>I don't believe or don't know if this was truly
<v Speaker 3>Joey's official debut on the main roster where he's going
<v Speaker 3>to be there every week. I still do doubt it.
<v Speaker 3>But this was an abomination of a segment for Joe Hendry,
<v Speaker 3>and Joe Henry did what he could with the material
<v Speaker 3>that he's given. I'm not attacking him personally, I'm talking
<v Speaker 3>about the creative for Joe Hendry, for Otis and Tazawa.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, this is right out of the Vince McMahon playbook.
<v Speaker 3>If you think Vince McMahon would have been watching this
<v Speaker 3>and smiling and just with the ultimate pride for Paul Leveck,
<v Speaker 3>you probably would be right. This is right up Vince McMahon,
<v Speaker 3>dally for this time of year, for these kinds of shows.
<v Speaker 3>I'm embarrassed to be a fan when I see this crap.
<v Speaker 3>I feel actually embarrassed. I don't has anyone ever got
<v Speaker 3>to the point watching wrestling, or maybe any other show
<v Speaker 3>doesn't have to be wrestling, where you feel secondhand embarrassment,
<v Speaker 3>but you actually feel your face getting read as if
<v Speaker 3>people can see you watching this, or you're imagining other
<v Speaker 3>people watching you watch this, and it feels so embarrassing
<v Speaker 3>just the very thought of it. I actually got to
<v Speaker 3>that point watching this garbage with Joe Hendry and with
<v Speaker 3>Tazawa and Otis. Remember the time when Otis, I mean
<v Speaker 3>for a while he was being used by Vince McMahon
<v Speaker 3>as this you know, bowl full of jelly dude. I
<v Speaker 3>mean he'd wear shirts that were clearly accentuating his stomach
<v Speaker 3>and he was eating. Remember during the pandemic era, during
<v Speaker 3>the money in the Bank contract match at w Headquarters,
<v Speaker 3>he was eating and Paul Hayman was there. Remember that.
<v Speaker 3>Just that that may be the single worst, honestly, the
<v Speaker 3>single worst matches of all time for the WWE Money
<v Speaker 3>the Bank the Ladder match for the men and women
<v Speaker 3>during the pandemic. Another topic for another day, but Vince
<v Speaker 3>would use him in those very very much those roles,
<v Speaker 3>and Triple H just kind of fell rn into it here.
<v Speaker 3>I think it's horrible. It's not funny. It makes a
<v Speaker 3>mockery of what's actually supposed to be going on in
<v Speaker 3>the ring. I know it's entertainment, okay, but the pro
<v Speaker 3>wrestling is the entertainment, not the men and women trying
<v Speaker 3>to be actors playing a role that they don't feel
<v Speaker 3>comfortable doing. And yeah, they may be getting a bunch
<v Speaker 3>of money to do it, but on the downside, they're
<v Speaker 3>destroying themselves on camera and it's making a lot of
<v Speaker 3>the older audience just sigh an embarrassment. If I was
<v Speaker 3>with somebody outside of my kid at an event watching
<v Speaker 3>that segment, I would have felt just complete, complete embarrassment
<v Speaker 3>and even at home again, as I said, I felt
<v Speaker 3>that not everything needs to be a serious wrestling program,
<v Speaker 3>not everything needs to be a blood feud. I'm not
<v Speaker 3>trying to paint the whole thing with one brush of
<v Speaker 3>what I prefer for wrestling. But this isn't wrestling. This
<v Speaker 3>isn't wrestling, and I have never been a fan of this,
<v Speaker 3>and I'm not changing how I've viewed this garbage when
<v Speaker 3>Vince did it, So I'm very consistent here with my
<v Speaker 3>personal preference of wrestling. You may call this entertainment, but again,
<v Speaker 3>this is wrestling. The wrestling is the entertainment, not the
<v Speaker 3>attempts at comedy. The attempts at comedy are very difficult
<v Speaker 3>to do. Comedy is exceedingly difficult to do successfully on
<v Speaker 3>scale or at scale, and WWE wrestling in general is
<v Speaker 3>generally very bad at it because very few people are
<v Speaker 3>very good at comedy. You can come up with the
<v Speaker 3>most brilliant lines in a boardroom, but to have the
<v Speaker 3>people who can actually execute it on camera be successful
<v Speaker 3>is very difficult and very few and far between. Now,
<v Speaker 3>both the execution and the execution was done as well
<v Speaker 3>as it could have been done. But when the writing
<v Speaker 3>is garbage, you are going to have a failure of
<v Speaker 3>a segment, and this to me was a It was
<v Speaker 3>an F minus. It made me want to stop watching wrestling.
<v Speaker 3>This stuff is just total, total crap. So that's how
<v Speaker 3>I feel about that. But let's continue. I think I've
<v Speaker 3>made my point after this just horrendousness. We did get
<v Speaker 3>the match Henry versus the miss and the match ended
<v Speaker 3>with Joe Hendry predictably beating the Miz on a miracle
<v Speaker 3>again on thirty fourth Street Fight, and he wins after
<v Speaker 3>hitting him with the standing ovation choke slam. It put
<v Speaker 3>him through the slim Gym table. Of course, we're gonna
<v Speaker 3>get more people through tables than ever before because of
<v Speaker 3>Slim Jim. But you know, I guess that's just where
<v Speaker 3>we live in now, all right. So, by the way,
<v Speaker 3>who cares? I mean, who cares about the Missus balls?
<v Speaker 3>I mean, how is that even funny? It's not even funny.
<v Speaker 3>It's it's it's like middle school humor. It's terrible. Okay,
<v Speaker 3>I promise, let's go on. So we had then Charlotte
<v Speaker 3>Flair and Alexa Bliss, showing back, were shown wearing bad
<v Speaker 3>Christmas sweaters while passing naughty and Nice signs back and
<v Speaker 3>forth again terribleness here.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 3>Kathy Kelly then caught up a dreamactire and asked if
<v Speaker 3>he would talk about the stipulation. He obviously said that
<v Speaker 3>he would, but not right away. And Byron Saxon stood
<v Speaker 3>backstage and he had Jade Cargill, who said that Mechen
<v Speaker 3>was afraid, and Jade said she didn't need a weapon
<v Speaker 3>because she is the weapon and told Jade Jade told
<v Speaker 3>Mechen to bring her candlestick because she'd need it. And
<v Speaker 3>then b Fab was watching Jade's promo backstage on a monitor,
<v Speaker 3>and uh, you know, it's clear that those two were
<v Speaker 3>going to cross paths and she's you know, Meechin showed
<v Speaker 3>up and spoke to be Fab and they were saying,
<v Speaker 3>how Jade needs to be humbled. All right, yeah, I mean, hey,
<v Speaker 3>Jade's talking, despite the fact that it is never more
<v Speaker 3>than twenty seconds. Ever, the bar is so low that
<v Speaker 3>Jade talking is even considered a success. I think she
<v Speaker 3>did fine, but again, her sample size is so damn small.
<v Speaker 3>We don't know who and what she is other than hey,
<v Speaker 3>And that's exactly what Michen said, Like she has muscles,
<v Speaker 3>like okay, we got it. Your physique, got it? You
<v Speaker 3>want us to look at your body all the time,
<v Speaker 3>because that's really all you've got, got it. But until
<v Speaker 3>she consistently is able to cut good, more lengthy promos
<v Speaker 3>and I don't need a ten minute promo every week.
<v Speaker 3>But until at least just once she can show that
<v Speaker 3>she can cut a good five minute promo, the fans
<v Speaker 3>are going to continue to just just respond to her
<v Speaker 3>very low warmly, whether it's positive or negative, because if
<v Speaker 3>she's the healer Babyface, but the fans aren't connected, they're
<v Speaker 3>not going to respond accordingly, at least at the intensity
<v Speaker 3>that they want. And they can continue to throw her
<v Speaker 3>out there with the skimpiest outfits, showing off all of
<v Speaker 3>her muscles, and it's not going to make a bit
<v Speaker 3>of difference because connection is well beyond the outward appearance,
<v Speaker 3>well beyond. So we can then get Charlotte Flair take
<v Speaker 3>on the Lash Legend, and Cole said it was a
<v Speaker 3>first time matchup, and Legend got the better of Flair
<v Speaker 3>early and then Flair fired back with a kick. Flair
<v Speaker 3>ran toward Legend, who powerbombed her, and this match, that's
<v Speaker 3>how it started out. But Charlotte Flair did beat lash
<v Speaker 3>Legend in the end. The finish was Flair setting up
<v Speaker 3>for Figure eight. Jax climbed on the apron to distract Flair,
<v Speaker 3>who was booted by Legend into a corner, and then
<v Speaker 3>Jax dropped to the floor. Bliss climbed on Jackson's back
<v Speaker 3>and a distracted Legend than approach Flair, who used the
<v Speaker 3>sunset flip to get the victory. Did Nie Jax lose weight?
<v Speaker 3>I mean, I think she looks better than ever. I mean,
<v Speaker 3>she was wearing a very tight kind of body suit,
<v Speaker 3>and I know this has gone well. Good for her.
<v Speaker 3>I mean maybe it was just her outfit or I
<v Speaker 3>haven't really studied her body in a while. That looked
<v Speaker 3>at her go oh wow, good for her. It looks
<v Speaker 3>like she has lost, at least from her heaviest anyway,
<v Speaker 3>a significant amount of weight, which is going to help her.
<v Speaker 3>I understand that her weight Nia Jax's weight. They've used
<v Speaker 3>her advantage because she's different than most of the women.
<v Speaker 3>As her song says, she uses the annihilator, which relies
<v Speaker 3>on her being bigger. But ultimately that is all not
<v Speaker 3>going to be worth it in the end, because her
<v Speaker 3>career is going to be cut short because physics, more
<v Speaker 3>strain on your joints, higher risk of injury for yourself
<v Speaker 3>and your opponents. Just facts. So Hope, I mean, I
<v Speaker 3>don't need her looking like Charlotte Flair, but this seems
<v Speaker 3>like a much more sustainable, healthier weight and safer weight
<v Speaker 3>if she's going to be doing what she's doing. All right.
<v Speaker 3>We then have Nick Aldos in his office. Someone off
<v Speaker 3>screen said that he makes them He said, make themselves
<v Speaker 3>at home, and the camera panned back and Trick Williams
<v Speaker 3>was sitting in a chair. Chrick laughed at all then
<v Speaker 3>told Nick Aldos that Rob brought bank, and Trick asked
<v Speaker 3>if all this was going to match the offer. W
<v Speaker 3>W champion Cody Rhodes entered the room and asked to
<v Speaker 3>speak with all this, and Cody asked if Drew had
<v Speaker 3>paid his fine and apologized to referee Dan Engler, and
<v Speaker 3>all This said he had not yet, and Cody got
<v Speaker 3>then worked up, and all This told him to control
<v Speaker 3>his emotions, reminded him he would strip him of the
<v Speaker 3>title if he put a finger on mac tire.
<v Speaker 1>So.
<v Speaker 3>Why the hell would Cody care if Drew McIntyre paid
<v Speaker 3>his fine or apologize to the referee. What what does
<v Speaker 3>that have to do with him and his championship? Or
<v Speaker 3>is it just I'm the moral compass, damn it, do
<v Speaker 3>the right thing. That's essentially what this is saying. It's,
<v Speaker 3>I mean, just another one of these gross babyface Cody moments.
<v Speaker 3>Nobody else is talking about this. I just it's it
<v Speaker 3>just is so part and parcel with his character and
<v Speaker 3>this babyface just gushy, gross, totally unrelatable version of Cody
<v Speaker 3>Rhodes that I can't wait to see turn heel. Which
<v Speaker 3>if you're gonna turn Cody heel, for the love of God,
<v Speaker 3>do it at WrestleMania. You're gonna you're gonna want a
<v Speaker 3>guy like this who's beloved by the fans to do
<v Speaker 3>it WrestleMania. I don't I'm not predicting that this year.
<v Speaker 3>In fact, I don't even know when they would ever
<v Speaker 3>turn him because he sells a lot of merch, kids
<v Speaker 3>love him. He's still you know, I don't think he's
<v Speaker 3>at his peak popularity, but fans still, I mean, they're
<v Speaker 3>not asking to turn him heel. I'm the only lone,
<v Speaker 3>lone voice in the crowd here. But okay, Trick Williams
<v Speaker 3>to return and told Cody that he's the hottest free
<v Speaker 3>agent in the game. And Trick told Cody, if all
<v Speaker 3>this makes the right decision, but Cody better hold onto
<v Speaker 3>his belt real tight. And Okay, so a little bit
<v Speaker 3>of tention to he's there, but nothing imminent. But I
<v Speaker 3>will say, well, what do you mean by free agent?
<v Speaker 3>There's no exclusivity to the brands anymore. That died a
<v Speaker 3>long time ago. We all know that having a draft
<v Speaker 3>is useless in WWE. They can't adhere to their own
<v Speaker 3>draft rules for more than a week, sometimes less. And
<v Speaker 3>I'm not being I don't think I'm being overly dramatic
<v Speaker 3>or overstating that they actually can't. There's always a reason
<v Speaker 3>someone's there, or there's no explanation why someone's there that
<v Speaker 3>shouldn't be there. Sometimes there's security chasing them out of
<v Speaker 3>the buildings. Sometimes they're just walking around back stage with
<v Speaker 3>no explanation and nobody tell them to get out, get
<v Speaker 3>out of the arena. Then they try to well remember
<v Speaker 3>the wild card rule and all that garbage, because what
<v Speaker 3>they want is create creative flexibility, and if they decide
<v Speaker 3>to do a draft again, what they're going to do
<v Speaker 3>is box themselves into a corner where they're then going
<v Speaker 3>to have to embarrassingly violate their own draft rules in
<v Speaker 3>short order, because you know they will and they can't
<v Speaker 3>help themselves, or they're going to be restricted on the
<v Speaker 3>matches that they can create and the storylines they can
<v Speaker 3>create with the talent roster cut in half because they
<v Speaker 3>can only work with the guys and gals on that brand,
<v Speaker 3>So they don't want a draft. If I were WWE,
<v Speaker 3>and I at this point had quietly dissolved the exclusivity
<v Speaker 3>of the brands of Ron SmackDown, I would just let
<v Speaker 3>things be because it allows you to just bring anyone
<v Speaker 3>on any show and no one says anything, which they
<v Speaker 3>again they do right away anyway, which is stupid, but
<v Speaker 3>at least now it's been It's it's the old uh,
<v Speaker 3>you know, boil the frog by turning up the heat slowly,
<v Speaker 3>like eventually you don't even notice or care. Before you
<v Speaker 3>know it. It's like, well, I'm dead right, a bit
<v Speaker 3>of an extreme example, but you got you get my metaphor,
<v Speaker 3>I think, or analogy rather, I think you got it.
<v Speaker 3>It's silly, so w W should not do a draft.
<v Speaker 3>Anybody that's asking for a draft, have you seen the
<v Speaker 3>last like five remember the war rooms where the Fox
<v Speaker 3>executives and USA executives that we've never seen or in
<v Speaker 3>the in the in the boardrooms, and we're supposed to
<v Speaker 3>pretend that there's some kind of experts on who they
<v Speaker 3>should draft, and then they draft like you know who
<v Speaker 3>was At first, that was just ridiculous. It was like
<v Speaker 3>Pianca Belle Air, are you kidding me? I mean at
<v Speaker 3>I have to go back and look. I mean it
<v Speaker 3>was done for nothing more than pr It resulted in
<v Speaker 3>no difference whatsoever on the actual roster. Again, the rosters
<v Speaker 3>themselves are now just blended together. Anyway, the exclusivity's gone.
<v Speaker 3>It's all for show. They making a mockery of actual drafts.
<v Speaker 3>There's no seemingly rhyme or reason for why certain people
<v Speaker 3>are drafted in the fifth round versus the second round,
<v Speaker 3>where second round picks are if you were actually going

<v Speaker 3>I'm not of the belief that everything that I saw
<v Speaker 3>and experienced in my childhood should be duplicated now. Just
<v Speaker 3>because it was the way it was in my childhood
<v Speaker 3>doesn't mean that it's inherently a better way to do it.
<v Speaker 3>I also understand that there's a sickness of nostalgia with millennials.
<v Speaker 3>It's an illness that millennials just can't let go of
<v Speaker 3>their childhood. That's why you hear about Disney adults, and
<v Speaker 3>you hear about, you know, millennials craving for their childhood,
<v Speaker 3>and you know, to some degree, I think we all did.
<v Speaker 3>And there's I think there's many reasons for millennials really,
<v Speaker 3>you know, clinging for the years and days of old.

<v Speaker 3>fact that we are the first generation to be able
<v Speaker 3>to digitize our entire childhood, because we're able to experience
<v Speaker 3>the things for the first time captured on video for
<v Speaker 3>the first time out of any generation. So we're able
<v Speaker 3>to actually see and relive those moments for the first
<v Speaker 3>time in human history. So you're going to naturally drudge
<v Speaker 3>up those feelings of like, oh my god, that's right,
<v Speaker 3>I forgot about this, I forgot about that. Whereas past
<v Speaker 3>generations didn't have that access, they may have had photographs.
<v Speaker 3>Obviously you did video to some small degree, but it
<v Speaker 3>wasn't at scale like it is today. So I think
<v Speaker 3>that's part of it. I don't want to go into
<v Speaker 3>too much of a psychoanalysis about it right now, but
<v Speaker 3>more to your point, Lance, it's not just because ah,
<v Speaker 3>that's how I grew up. I'm totally open to doing
<v Speaker 3>things differently if it's a better way. Completely. I'm not
<v Speaker 3>sitting here closed minded, going no, no, no, it has to
<v Speaker 3>be my way, the old way. But progress for the
<v Speaker 3>sake of progress is not always better. I've brought this up.
<v Speaker 3>You can't tell me that things that are successful doing
<v Speaker 3>it one way are not going to be that way forever.
<v Speaker 3>So you need to change just because it's a better,
<v Speaker 3>good idea to change. What's the reason for the change.

<v Speaker 3>at its highest just objectively, ratings wise, merch wise, they
<v Speaker 3>were the most popular culture, just mainstream culture, household names
<v Speaker 3>like in the Attitude era and the Ruthless Aggression era.
<v Speaker 3>It was at its absolute peak, but five times the
<v Speaker 3>ratings they are now maybe higher. So more people were watching,
<v Speaker 3>which means they were doing something right. They were doing
<v Speaker 3>something better. And they also don't want wrestling to turn
<v Speaker 3>into feeling like it's just a regular sitcom. I want
<v Speaker 3>wrestling to feel like wrestling. See the company has fallen away,
<v Speaker 3>and under Vince McMahon did as well. But I think
<v Speaker 3>it's I think it's explaninentially falling away from what its
<v Speaker 3>identity is, which is pro wrestling. It's a wrestling company people. Again,
<v Speaker 3>entertainment is such a broad category. But again, my whole
<v Speaker 3>deal is how do you entertain the people? Okay, entertainment,
<v Speaker 3>that's the side effect, but what are you doing to
<v Speaker 3>entertain If it's wrestling, then be a wrestling company and
<v Speaker 3>the entertainment comes. It's a package deal. You put out
<v Speaker 3>good wrestling in good storylines and make it believable and
<v Speaker 3>the fans are entertained. Will you try to force entertainment
<v Speaker 3>that's not wrestling down the throats of the consumer? Often
<v Speaker 3>it will not work because you are not true to
<v Speaker 3>your identity or you're running from it. And WWE has
<v Speaker 3>tried over the last several really not just under the
<v Speaker 3>t KO. Again, TKO has do some horrible stuff mind
<v Speaker 3>to what WWE and what pro wrestling is, but even
<v Speaker 3>out of the Vince McMahon air. I mean that they
<v Speaker 3>have ran from the term pro wrestling. They can run
<v Speaker 3>from it all they want, but they're spinning their wheels.
<v Speaker 3>You can rebrand it, relabel it, rename it. It's wrestling.
<v Speaker 3>I know, it's a shameful term now. Even though you
<v Speaker 3>can say it on TV, it's still frowned down upon.
<v Speaker 3>It's looked down upon. People stick their nose in the
<v Speaker 3>air at what pro wrestling is and what it means,
<v Speaker 3>which is why they've tried to rebrand it, even though
<v Speaker 3>it's the same thing it always has been. It's still
<v Speaker 3>wrestling in the ring that people want to see, because
<v Speaker 3>the moment you stop wrestling, then you're not a wrestling
<v Speaker 3>show anymore. You're just a sitcom. And I think they've
<v Speaker 3>leaned too much on sitcom stuff and stuff that's not
<v Speaker 3>funny or you know, five minute or two minute matches
<v Speaker 3>when the rest of it is about backstage garbage and
<v Speaker 3>the scripted promos and pulling the curtain back during shows,
<v Speaker 3>as you know, has been to me one of the
<v Speaker 3>worst things that the company's ever done. I don't care. Okay,
<v Speaker 3>Fab's already did well, okay, but why are we now
<v Speaker 3>making sure it stays dead. Why can't you try to
<v Speaker 3>recreate some of the magic that is ultimately going to
<v Speaker 3>I think result in fans becoming more attracted to your product,
<v Speaker 3>more engaged, more consistent in the watching and investing their
<v Speaker 3>time and money into. When fans become invested emotionally, they
<v Speaker 3>spend the money and the time to be a part
<v Speaker 3>of that. So I'm going way off track, lance at
<v Speaker 3>I just want to make sure that if you have
<v Speaker 3>there's a question in there. I mean, I don't know
<v Speaker 3>if I need to learn to lower my expectations and
<v Speaker 3>learn to appreciate what the new era has to offer

<v Speaker 3>need to. I mean, I shouldn't have to lower my
<v Speaker 3>expectations because the company wants me to see. The company
<v Speaker 3>wants me to expect a certain level of wrestling and entertainment.

<v Speaker 3>seen it be better. And a lot of people sit
<v Speaker 3>here all you do is complain for Okay, Well, here's
<v Speaker 3>the thing. It's because I know wrestling can be better.

<v Speaker 3>belief that well maybe someday, you know, at the end
<v Speaker 3>of the rainbow. No, I've seen it. I lived it,
<v Speaker 3>so I know what connects fans and when it's most successful.
<v Speaker 3>I know just I know basic human psychology. Because I'm
<v Speaker 3>a human being much like you. I understand what makes
<v Speaker 3>wrestling great. And I'm not saying other people don't have
<v Speaker 3>good ideas, but I'm talking fundamentals. I'm not talking about
<v Speaker 3>how to make you know the intricate pieces of a match,
<v Speaker 3>or spots in a match, or even who could face
<v Speaker 3>who in a match. I'm just talking at ground level
<v Speaker 3>fundamentals of what makes wrestling great, and some of those
<v Speaker 3>are totally missing. Coherent storylines, a lot of that's missing,
<v Speaker 3>great promos from those involved in the matches, a lot
<v Speaker 3>of that skill is lost. And I'm not saying it's
<v Speaker 3>easy to acquire, but you can talk people into seats
<v Speaker 3>without even wrestling a match. The idea that you need
<v Speaker 3>emotional an emotional connection with the fans is lost. It's
<v Speaker 3>all about just fireworks. Give me the best match that
<v Speaker 3>doesn't last long, and today I think a lot of
<v Speaker 3>it's lost. InKo doesn't give it a You should see
<v Speaker 3>the wrestle Mania forty two ticket prices by the way
<v Speaker 3>nosebleeds are one thousand dollars apiece, Yes, one thousand dollars
<v Speaker 3>a piece. You want lower level, that's gonna cost you
<v Speaker 3>twelve to fourteen grand apiece. You want ringside like second row,
<v Speaker 3>third row. You're looking at thirty two thousand dollars per
<v Speaker 3>ticket for the WrestleMania forty two seats. Who in the
<v Speaker 3>f is going to be able to afford that? Who?
<v Speaker 3>Who is going to be able to afford this crap?
<v Speaker 3>I And it's not gonna happen, but I would love
<v Speaker 3>to see ticket prices plunge into oblivion, or attendance for
<v Speaker 3>WrestleMania plunge. Now, they won't do it because they're going
<v Speaker 3>to have a full stadium no matter what the ticket
<v Speaker 3>prices are, because if they have to, and they this
<v Speaker 3>would be the last resort. But if they have to,
<v Speaker 3>they just have seat fillers for WrestleMania. How embarrassing would
<v Speaker 3>that be? So they'll never be an empty stadium for
<v Speaker 3>WrestleMania because they'll just give the seats away if necessary
<v Speaker 3>to show the public. No, we have a full stadium. See,
<v Speaker 3>but I don't think that'll happen. There'll be somebody who
<v Speaker 3>will be able to afford these I don't know who maybe.

<v Speaker 3>top one percent of income earners, or people who are
<v Speaker 3>just willing to go into thousands and thousands of dollars

<v Speaker 3>able to attend WrestleMania seventeen, people today would not pay that.

<v Speaker 3>it's going to be Austin versus Rock, one of the
<v Speaker 3>best WrestleMania main events of all time, one of the
<v Speaker 3>best rivalries of all time, people still wouldn't pay that. Now,
<v Speaker 3>you're going to go in with the hope and wish
<v Speaker 3>in a dream that when they don't know the card
<v Speaker 3>and you get a stinker of a main event like
<v Speaker 3>last year, that people we're going to hopefully forget all
<v Speaker 3>that and take the chance that they're going to just
<v Speaker 3>empty their bank accounts to attend your show. I hope,
<v Speaker 3>I hope the ticket prices are horrible, and not because
<v Speaker 3>I want to see w W fail, but I want
<v Speaker 3>the fans to send the company a message, no, we
<v Speaker 3>aren't paying this. Screw you, screw you. And this is
<v Speaker 3>the number one reason they left New Orleans. Remember it
<v Speaker 3>was supposed to be in New Orleans this year, but
<v Speaker 3>they left and went to Vegas because guess what they realized,

<v Speaker 3>went to Vegas because they knew that these types of
<v Speaker 3>ticket prices would not fly in New Orleans, but in

<v Speaker 2>followed by Steve Macklin, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, and the
<v Speaker 2>Director of Authority mister Satine Morella, as they went up
<v Speaker 2>against the NXC outsiders of Stacks, the newly crowned Tina
<v Speaker 2>International Champion Lexus King Brooks Jensen, and the tag team
<v Speaker 2>called High Rise, which features both Tyson and Tyreek. This
<v Speaker 2>match was not a war Games match, what each person
<v Speaker 2>for both teams came at specific intervals doing the match,
<v Speaker 2>and to win the match, you could only win it
<v Speaker 2>by either pinfall or submission. This main event match lasted
<v Speaker 2>twenty minutes and five seconds, but during the early part
<v Speaker 2>of this tag team match, as Matt Hardy was about
<v Speaker 2>to enter the cage, he gets blind sided attacked from
<v Speaker 2>Tyreek off the NX Outsiders, and lays out Matt Hardy
<v Speaker 2>in preventing him from going into the cage. Jeff Hardy
<v Speaker 2>would later make his appearance to enter the cage, but
<v Speaker 2>before he does so, he briefly checked it on Matt,
<v Speaker 2>his brother, to see if he was okay. But Matt
<v Speaker 2>said to him, I'll be okay, just go in the
<v Speaker 2>cage and help Tena get the victory. But then something
<v Speaker 2>bizarre happens during this main event match. To Matt Hardy,
<v Speaker 2>we get the appearance of a tag team, a kind
<v Speaker 2>of spooky psychedelic tag team called The Righteous. They have
<v Speaker 2>been newly signed to TNA of both Vincent and Dutch.
<v Speaker 2>As they pick up Matt Hardy and carry him to
<v Speaker 2>the back, but the question is where are the rights
<v Speaker 2>taking Matt Hardy next. With this interesting development regarding Matt Hardy,
<v Speaker 2>it looked like the advantage for this still cage match
<v Speaker 2>was in favor of the NXC Outsiders with a five
<v Speaker 2>to four advantage over Team TNA. But as he fast
<v Speaker 2>forward to the tail end of this main event match,
<v Speaker 2>after when we saw good old fashioned san Tina Morella
<v Speaker 2>goes for a Cobra strike Toolbrooks Jensen, then Mike Santana
<v Speaker 2>follows that up with the spin the block discuit, Lariers,
<v Speaker 2>Tolbrooks Jensen, and one two three. Team TNA gets victory
<v Speaker 2>over the Nexy Outsiders even though they were one man
<v Speaker 2>short on their team. But hold on a minute, the
<v Speaker 2>show was not over yet. After when Team TNA of
<v Speaker 2>Mike Santana, Steve Macklin, Jeff Hardy, and Santina Morella celebrated
<v Speaker 2>their victory, we saw Santana eyeing his future son in
<v Speaker 2>law Stax in the corner of the cage. As Santana,
<v Speaker 2>Jeff and Macklin exit the cage. Ariana Grace, Santina Morella's daughter,
<v Speaker 2>shows up in the cage and hugs her father. But
<v Speaker 2>from the looks of it, something seemed kind of odd
<v Speaker 2>because the only people that were left in the cage
<v Speaker 2>was Stax, Ariana Grace, and Santina Morella. And then, oh
<v Speaker 2>my goodness, the shocking development happens. Ariana Grace low blows
<v Speaker 2>her father Santina Morella as Stax proceeds to beat down
<v Speaker 2>on Santino and then Santana and Macklin are trying to
<v Speaker 2>get in the cage. What Ariana locked the cage door
<v Speaker 2>and she has the key. Ariana slaps her father as
<v Speaker 2>Steve Macklin is climbing a cage to get inside, but
<v Speaker 2>Stax quickly leaves the cage. Arianna tells Maclin, you don't
<v Speaker 2>know what the f is going on. Then she unlocks
<v Speaker 2>the cage door and confronts Mike Santana, stating to how
<v Speaker 2>you better not be a deadbeat just like my dad,
<v Speaker 2>said Tina Marilla. I guess she took it out of
<v Speaker 2>the playbook of mister Dirty Dominic Mastio because Dirty Dum
<v Speaker 2>called his father a Misterio, a deadbeat. And here it is, folks,
<v Speaker 2>the shocking development. Ariana Grace has betrayed her father, said

<v Speaker 2>it looked alike A Grace is the mastermind of the
<v Speaker 2>NXY Outsiders having their takeover in TNA, and now to
<v Speaker 2>Joe Hendry. We get a mention of Joe Hendry's name,
<v Speaker 2>apparently from this past episode of fridh Night SmackDown prerecorded
<v Speaker 2>from Hershey, Pennsylvania, in which we get a backstage segment
<v Speaker 2>of the Miss and the general manager of SmackDown, mister
<v Speaker 2>Nick Oldis. The myths says that he who should not
<v Speaker 2>be named, ruined the Missus moment at this past Saturday
<v Speaker 2>Night's main event, and that the Miss wants a match
<v Speaker 2>against that nameless guy. Nick Allis actes the Miss you
<v Speaker 2>mean Carmarlo Hayes, The myth says, not him. All This says, oh,
<v Speaker 2>you mean Joe Head, but the Myss stops him and
<v Speaker 2>tells him not to say his name. Miss tells all
