BIGFOOT ENCOUNTERS IN THE HUDSON GORGE WILDERNESS | EXPERIENCES IN THE OCEANEE NATIONAL FOREST

<v Speaker 1>Hey, everyone, and welcome to another Sasquatch Theory podcast. On
<v Speaker 1>this episode, we have John from North Carolina and he's
<v Speaker 1>had several bigfoot encounters and many experiences ranging from New
<v Speaker 1>York all the way down into the Carolinas. John was
<v Speaker 1>hunting in the Hudson Gorge Wilderness when he encountered a
<v Speaker 1>jet black figure that he believes to be sasquatch. John
<v Speaker 1>has found tree structures in the forest and he has
<v Speaker 1>experienced large creatures charging through the woods after using his
<v Speaker 1>game calls. John has also had bigfoot encounters and experiences
<v Speaker 1>in the Ocannee National Forest in Georgia, and there's no
<v Speaker 1>doubt in my mind that these creatures are not in
<v Speaker 1>the area. I've been there before and it's very vast,
<v Speaker 1>the mountains are huge, and in Blue Ridge, Georgia, is
<v Speaker 1>where the Sasquatch Expedition Bigfoot Museum is located at. Have
<v Speaker 1>you had a bigfoot I citing encounter before? If so,

<v Speaker 1>straight into John's bigfoot encounters from the East Coast. All right, John,
<v Speaker 1>welcome to Sasquatch Theory. How are you doing today doing
<v Speaker 1>good man? Thanks for having me. Absolutely, it's a pleasure
<v Speaker 1>to have you on the show. John. If you would
<v Speaker 1>tell me a little bit about yourself, where you're from,
<v Speaker 1>and your bigfoot experiences from the very beginning, please, Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>So I'm from upstate New York, originally at where I
<v Speaker 2>was born and raised. Actually was born in or I
<v Speaker 2>was raised in Senecton, New York, but my grandparents lived
<v Speaker 2>on a dairy farm out in East Kodak, New York,
<v Speaker 2>which is a not too horribly far from the Massachusetts
<v Speaker 2>New York border. So I grew up hunting fishing like
<v Speaker 2>a lot of young guys up there, been doing that
<v Speaker 2>in my entire life. So my first encounter actually happened
<v Speaker 2>when I was really young, probably I don't know, six
<v Speaker 2>or seven years old. One of my earliest childhood memories,
<v Speaker 2>my grandfather had a pile of fifty seven crushing stone
<v Speaker 2>crushed tome, and I was playing on it with my
<v Speaker 2>cousin and there was about a twenty foot bank to
<v Speaker 2>the left of it that went down to some railroad tracks,
<v Speaker 2>and the back inside of those railroad tracks were just
<v Speaker 2>woods for a long, long, long ways, and I remember
<v Speaker 2>playing and then I looked up kind of down the
<v Speaker 2>bank and there was a I don't know how so
<v Speaker 2>explaining a very very large, completely black figure standing about
<v Speaker 2>ten to fifteen feet from me and my cousin and
<v Speaker 2>just looking. And I don't remember a whole lot of details.
<v Speaker 2>This was thirty one years ago, thirty two years ago,
<v Speaker 2>so I don't remember a ton of details. I don't
<v Speaker 2>even remember a face. That was one of the things
<v Speaker 2>that always haunted me growing up. As I would try
<v Speaker 2>and recall it, I couldn't remember a face, just a
<v Speaker 2>jet black figure. Everything was black, and I stared at
<v Speaker 2>it for maybe two or three seconds, and then the
<v Speaker 2>next memory I have is the wind hitting my face
<v Speaker 2>as I was running back up to the house to
<v Speaker 2>tell my mother. We were over at my grandparents visiting,
<v Speaker 2>and I told my mom, and I remember my mom
<v Speaker 2>just saying, Oh, it's probably with one of your uncle's
<v Speaker 2>playing a trick on you. And but my uncles actually
<v Speaker 2>didn't live at home at the time, so I really
<v Speaker 2>don't know. I really don't know who that was or
<v Speaker 2>what that was. How that was the first Yeah, the
<v Speaker 2>first experience to kind of set the.
<v Speaker 1>Tone absolutely, And before we move on, how big was
<v Speaker 1>this creature? Do you remember that?
<v Speaker 2>So? I remember it towered over me and it was
<v Speaker 2>standing on about a thirty five degree inclined hill and
<v Speaker 2>it was about ten foot and it was over me.
<v Speaker 2>Still silly. This was a very large now, Kranton, I
<v Speaker 2>was really young, so everything kind of looked big, but
<v Speaker 2>it was big. I was looking probably I was looking
<v Speaker 2>up at it still, So this was a very large individual.
<v Speaker 2>So if it was one of my uncles, he was
<v Speaker 2>wearing stilts.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's terrifying. And about how far away was the creature?
<v Speaker 2>Probably about fifteen feet ten feet? It was very close,
<v Speaker 2>extremely close.
<v Speaker 1>Oh wow, yeah, that is close. And I can see
<v Speaker 1>why you took off running.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. I didn't sit there and try and figure out
<v Speaker 2>really what it was. I seen that it was a
<v Speaker 2>big black you know, at the time, I thought it
<v Speaker 2>was a man, and then I took off running and
<v Speaker 2>that was that.
<v Speaker 1>Did it seem like it was facing you or facing away?
<v Speaker 2>So I think it was facing me. Like I said,
<v Speaker 2>I can't remember facial features, but I feel like it
<v Speaker 2>was facing me. I haven't I've never asked my cousin
<v Speaker 2>about this. I need to call her at some point
<v Speaker 2>as just you know, trying to break the ice with
<v Speaker 2>someone about this, like, hey, you remember seeing a big
<v Speaker 2>foot when you were six? It's kind of a weird question,
<v Speaker 2>but but I do need to call her, But yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, And did you recall anything strange during that encounter,
<v Speaker 1>like an odd smell or did you hear something before
<v Speaker 1>you saw it?
<v Speaker 2>I did not. I don't remember a smell. I don't
<v Speaker 2>remember anything wrong until I just looked up in this
<v Speaker 2>thing which is standing there. Come to find out, throughout
<v Speaker 2>the years, my uncles, who have lived and hunted their
<v Speaker 2>my whole life, have heard and seen some really strange things.
<v Speaker 2>Now they're not They have not accepted the fact that
<v Speaker 2>there's anything other than us in the woods, so they
<v Speaker 2>always play it off as something else whatever. But they've
<v Speaker 2>told me about weird sounds they've heard. And my one
<v Speaker 2>uncle claims he saw a he saw something running through
<v Speaker 2>a field, and my other uncle's, eh, you were drinking
<v Speaker 2>too much, And it's like, well, guys, you know, every
<v Speaker 2>time you drink, do you see a sasquatch? No, So
<v Speaker 2>that doesn't really that argument doesn't hold a lot of water.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, so there is a history other than just
<v Speaker 2>what happened to me in that area for sure.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Absolutely. Do you recall the time of year, like,
<v Speaker 1>was it summertime or winter time?
<v Speaker 2>This summer? Yeah, it would have been summer, yeah, because
<v Speaker 2>we were over actually having a family get together and
<v Speaker 2>we always did that in the summer.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. And you said this was in New York, is
<v Speaker 1>that correct?
<v Speaker 2>Yes? This was an upstate New York about two hours
<v Speaker 2>north of New York City, straight up the Hudson Nerder.
<v Speaker 1>So it's pretty deep woods there, correct.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, Yeah, it's mostly farmland in that area. But you're
<v Speaker 2>not far from you. I'm sure you've heard of the
<v Speaker 2>Bennington Triangle, you know, the whole Vermont, My, you know
<v Speaker 2>that area. You're not far from there, You're you could
<v Speaker 2>walk through the woods eventually to get to that, to
<v Speaker 2>get to that area.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's really interesting. So what other experiences unfolded after
<v Speaker 1>this encounter?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so don't really remember anything through my early childhood
<v Speaker 2>other than that. So I started bow hunting when I
<v Speaker 2>was fourteen, so full time, kind of out on my own.
<v Speaker 2>That was when I first got my hunting license, and
<v Speaker 2>my I had a strange encounter. It was October. It
<v Speaker 2>was I was probably I was fourteen, my first year,
<v Speaker 2>and I noticed behind this tree there was this large
<v Speaker 2>hairy mass and I couldn't figure out what it was.
<v Speaker 2>I was looking through a really para binoculars that I
<v Speaker 2>my parents gave me for Christmas or something, and I
<v Speaker 2>couldn't tell make out what it was. I was about
<v Speaker 2>sixty yards from me, and I put my binoculars down
<v Speaker 2>and I looked back up, and the hairy mass that
<v Speaker 2>was behind like half behind a tree, is gone. And
<v Speaker 2>all of a sudden, there's a maple tree in front
<v Speaker 2>of me. Because I'm sitting up in the tree stands
<v Speaker 2>sitting up in front of me, and the whole tree
<v Speaker 2>shakes like something hit it with a truck. Completely no
<v Speaker 2>wind that day, completely calm. Just the strangest thing, like
<v Speaker 2>the tree decided to have a temper tantrum like randomly
<v Speaker 2>like and just shook violently for no particular reason. But
<v Speaker 2>the strangest thing about that whole, you know, little episode,
<v Speaker 2>was I never heard anything. I never seen anything. The
<v Speaker 2>tree was literally moving basically on its owner. What I thought,
<v Speaker 2>I it's not like anything, ran up to it and
<v Speaker 2>hit it and ran away. It was the strangest. It's
<v Speaker 2>what still to this one of the strangest things that
<v Speaker 2>I've ever seen, was that tree just starts shaking violently. Now,
<v Speaker 2>this wasn't a big tree to where there could have
<v Speaker 2>been a bear up in it or some sort of
<v Speaker 2>animal up on the top that was shaking it. It was
<v Speaker 2>a relatively small tree, probably only I'm guessing twelve to
<v Speaker 2>fifteen feet tall. It was a maple. It's the leaves
<v Speaker 2>were orange that time of year, late October, so it
<v Speaker 2>still had all the leaves on it, but they were changing.
<v Speaker 2>But because the leaves were starting to die, they were
<v Speaker 2>really loud when you shook the tree. And I remember
<v Speaker 2>that and the tree, like I said, just when just
<v Speaker 2>shook really hard, like a tree to it or like
<v Speaker 2>a truck hit it, and then and then nothing. So
<v Speaker 2>that was a strange little episode. You know, I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not going to say that that was a bigfoot.
<v Speaker 2>I have no idea, but it was just weird.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, did it seem like there was something invisible there
<v Speaker 1>shaking the tree. I'm not saying there was, But is
<v Speaker 1>that kind of the impression you got because a tree
<v Speaker 1>that that was the impression I got, yeah, like it
<v Speaker 1>wasn't big enough for like a sasquatch, yeah to hide
<v Speaker 1>behind it. And you could see all up and down
<v Speaker 1>the tree, and you notice there wasn't a bear there.
<v Speaker 2>Right, there wasn't anything there. It just the tree just
<v Speaker 2>started shaking for just a second or two. It wasn't long.
<v Speaker 2>It wasn't like something was grabbing it and shaking it.
<v Speaker 2>It was like it was more like something hit it,
<v Speaker 2>like it was running it, like like if if if
<v Speaker 2>a truck was driving through the woods and bumped into it,
<v Speaker 2>That's what it was. It was more like that. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>so nothing happens afterwards.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, so it was too violent for it to be
<v Speaker 1>just like a fox squirrel in a tree, Like.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, this was not a squirrel. Yeah, okay, squirrel was
<v Speaker 2>not a raccoon.
<v Speaker 1>I've seen examples like that on YouTube where these trees
<v Speaker 1>are just shaking violently in the woods and people claim
<v Speaker 1>it's sasquatch, and I believe it is.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like I said, I don't know exactly what that was.
<v Speaker 2>You know, at the time, I'm only fourteen. I really
<v Speaker 2>don't have a frame of reference. Sasquatch is not on
<v Speaker 2>my brain yet. I really had no interest in the
<v Speaker 2>subject at that point in my life. I when I
<v Speaker 2>hit about sixteen, it's probably when I've probably first seen
<v Speaker 2>my kind of sashquatch stuff on the Travel Channel. And
<v Speaker 2>I remember on the Travel Channel and they used to
<v Speaker 2>play all that kind of stuff. You know. I'm thirty eight,
<v Speaker 2>so I'm a millennial, but I kind of got a
<v Speaker 2>bit of an interest in it. Not a real hard interest,
<v Speaker 2>but just like, you know, this is this is kind
<v Speaker 2>of cool. So my next encounters really came in Georgia.
<v Speaker 2>So when I was eighteen, my wife and I were
<v Speaker 2>married high school sweethearts, still married to this day, twenty
<v Speaker 2>years and we moved to Georgia, got out of New
<v Speaker 2>York and moved down south. My uncle's at the time,
<v Speaker 2>who used to live in New York all lived down south,
<v Speaker 2>and these were my hunting buddies. These are the guys
<v Speaker 2>I grew up hunting with. And that's where the next
<v Speaker 2>kind of encounters happened. So the first, the first thing
<v Speaker 2>that happened that was extremely strange, and I talked about
<v Speaker 2>this in my email that I had sent you, was
<v Speaker 2>my uncle and I were hunting on a place called
<v Speaker 2>the Coney Wma, which is Wildlife Management Area, and it's
<v Speaker 2>it's old Native American land. It's actually a what they
<v Speaker 2>call a rock hawk on it. It's a giant rock
<v Speaker 2>formation that's that's shaped like a like an eagle. They
<v Speaker 2>call it an eagle or a hawk. So definitely heavy
<v Speaker 2>Native American presence there. And I was hunting on the
<v Speaker 2>top of a hill probably about fifty yards one hundred
<v Speaker 2>and fifty feet or so tall to the bottom, and
<v Speaker 2>I'm watching the bottom. It's rifle season, so it would
<v Speaker 2>have been in mid November. This is about two thousand,
<v Speaker 2>ten twenty eleven something around there, So, like I said,
<v Speaker 2>in late November, and right at dark, I see what
<v Speaker 2>I thought was my uncle coming out of the planet pines.
<v Speaker 2>Now here in the South, when they cut the pines
<v Speaker 2>and they replant them get really really sick. The lob
<v Speaker 2>lollies grow up and they grow, you know, they just
<v Speaker 2>turn into a thicket. And I thought my uncle walked
<v Speaker 2>out of it, out into the bottom, which was really strange.
<v Speaker 2>Now this is right at dark, so it's getting to
<v Speaker 2>the point where I really can't see a lot of details,
<v Speaker 2>but I can make out shapes, and he walks while
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was he he walks down in front
<v Speaker 2>of me at about eighty yards, and I'm watching him,
<v Speaker 2>and I whistle to try and get his attention because
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was my uncle. And it stops. He
<v Speaker 2>just stops and gets behind the truth and that was that.
<v Speaker 2>He never came back out. I shined a flashlight down there.
<v Speaker 2>I whistled a few more times, started getting kind of
<v Speaker 2>really nervous, like, hey, is he okay? Did something happen?
<v Speaker 2>So I kind of gathered my things real quick, and
<v Speaker 2>I stood up and I started walking down the hill.
<v Speaker 2>And I heard a ranch break behind me, and I
<v Speaker 2>look behind me, and here's my uncle walking from the
<v Speaker 2>exact opposite direction of the slashlight. So I looked back
<v Speaker 2>down the hill. I don't know what that is down there,
<v Speaker 2>but I wasn't about to go find out, so I
<v Speaker 2>just turned around and left with him. Never mentioned the
<v Speaker 2>word of it to him. We just we just walked out.
<v Speaker 2>So that was definitely a strange happening. Now, could it
<v Speaker 2>have been a guy? Maybe I didn't notice that it
<v Speaker 2>was an entirely overly man's size, but it was very strange.
<v Speaker 2>And where he came walking out, Like I said, he
<v Speaker 2>came walking out of planet pines that you couldn't drive
<v Speaker 2>a truck into. It would stop a truck right at
<v Speaker 2>dark with no orange and no light on Georgia Public
<v Speaker 2>Land during rightful season.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that is you know, it's just not normal. No,
<v Speaker 1>that's not normal at all. And there's an important detail
<v Speaker 1>there when you whistled. This thing hid behind a tree.
<v Speaker 1>And I wonder if the sasquatch do that, because I've
<v Speaker 1>had them with at me when I would show up
<v Speaker 1>on it like unexpectedly. One time, I was coming back
<v Speaker 1>home and I live in a forested area and I
<v Speaker 1>never park at the top of the driveway, and I
<v Speaker 1>just like slammed on the brakes and got out of
<v Speaker 1>my vehicle because I was like, oh, I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>check on my trail cameras while I'm up here. And
<v Speaker 1>when I checked the trail camera came back to my vehicle.
<v Speaker 1>I was standing there and one whistled, like a real
<v Speaker 1>sharp whistle, and then another one in front of me,
<v Speaker 1>and then another one to my right. So it's kind
<v Speaker 1>of like whatever it was in the woods triangulated around me,
<v Speaker 1>and I think I threw them off because I always
<v Speaker 1>drive all the way through the woods to the parking
<v Speaker 1>lot where I live. Instead. This time, I parked at
<v Speaker 1>the top of the driveway and it's like a quarter
<v Speaker 1>mile till you get to the house. And it's like,
<v Speaker 1>I think it threw them off because I never just
<v Speaker 1>stopped there.
<v Speaker 2>Sure. Yeah, And you know, we've had a lot of
<v Speaker 2>encounters over the years hunting. We're not your typical hunters.
<v Speaker 2>We don't do the same thing all the time. We
<v Speaker 2>don't drive our trucks to our tree stands. We walk
<v Speaker 2>with the wind, no matter how long that might take.
<v Speaker 2>That might mean that a three hundred yard walk took
<v Speaker 2>a mile and a half this day. So we're very
<v Speaker 2>we're very erratic in how we enter our spots and
<v Speaker 2>get to our places. So I think that maybe contributes
<v Speaker 2>to all of the strange experiences I've had, because they're
<v Speaker 2>they're pretty numerous. So and I can move on to
<v Speaker 2>the next one. So uh so in uh where was
<v Speaker 2>I next? So back in New York about two years later,
<v Speaker 2>I had I actually had moved from Georgia to North Carolina,
<v Speaker 2>which is where I currently live. I'm a federal contractor.
<v Speaker 2>I work on Fort Bragg, North Carolina. So this was
<v Speaker 2>this was in New York. I would go on back
<v Speaker 2>up to New York to visit family during October. It
<v Speaker 2>was opening day in Muslu season, and we were hunting
<v Speaker 2>in the Adirondack Mountains. I cannot remember the name of
<v Speaker 2>the meg It's the Hudson Gorge Wilderness area up there.
<v Speaker 2>So it's like everywhere else in the Adirondecks, it's just
<v Speaker 2>vast wilderness. There's nothing, with the exception of a few
<v Speaker 2>small towns. So we got up opening morning. I did
<v Speaker 2>not have a muzzle orter with me. I had my bow.
<v Speaker 2>Everybody else had their muzzleloaders, so everybody who else walked
<v Speaker 2>out of camp. We were parked on the side of
<v Speaker 2>a mountain road, and we walked down the road and
<v Speaker 2>I found a little draw that went up kind of
<v Speaker 2>into the mountains, and I said, oh, this is a
<v Speaker 2>good place as any I'm not used to hunting this land.
<v Speaker 2>I've lived in the South since i was eighteen years old.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know how to hunt the mountains. I'm used
<v Speaker 2>to hunting bottoms and pine tickets and that sort of thing.
<v Speaker 2>So I just started walking up the side of the
<v Speaker 2>mountain and I got about three hundred yards from the road.
<v Speaker 2>Four hundred yards from the road and the hill leveled off,
<v Speaker 2>which was really cool because I thought it was just
<v Speaker 2>going to be a kind of just a straight incline.
<v Speaker 2>But it got up the hill and it leveled off
<v Speaker 2>into like a big flat swamp. Right. So I'm standing
<v Speaker 2>on the edge of where leveled off by a big tree,
<v Speaker 2>just kind of watching and noticed it was it got real,
<v Speaker 2>real quiet, super quiet, to the point where I started
<v Speaker 2>getting freaked out. And again I had no real knowledge
<v Speaker 2>of sasquatch or anything, no intimate knowledge yet, so I
<v Speaker 2>didn't know any of this men. But it got really quiet.
<v Speaker 2>The hair stood up on the back of my neck
<v Speaker 2>for no particular reason other than I was a little
<v Speaker 2>bit nervous just because I'm in the mountains and it's
<v Speaker 2>a new environment. So I was a little nervous for
<v Speaker 2>that reason, but no reason to be scared. Like I
<v Speaker 2>was just very, very terrified for no reason. So I'm
<v Speaker 2>standing there and I'm like, well, I'm not gonna let
<v Speaker 2>this beat me. I'm just gonna keep going. I'm this
<v Speaker 2>is stupid, There's no reason to be afraid. So I
<v Speaker 2>took one more step away from this big tree and
<v Speaker 2>a tree in front of me that I couldn't see,
<v Speaker 2>but it probably, I don't know, eighty two one hundred
<v Speaker 2>yards comes crashing down and this was a very large tree.
<v Speaker 2>This wasn't a branch, this was a tree. I could
<v Speaker 2>hear it crack and snap and slam the ground. And again,
<v Speaker 2>this was on a day with no wind. It had
<v Speaker 2>not rained, so there was no real reason for trees
<v Speaker 2>to be falling. But that was my cue. The fear
<v Speaker 2>at that point kind of climax, and I said, I'm
<v Speaker 2>out of here. So I turned tail and started walking
<v Speaker 2>back down the hill. The whole way down the hill,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know if it was just my nerves or
<v Speaker 2>what it was, but I thought I could hear, you know,
<v Speaker 2>small branches and things breaking behind me as I'm walking down,
<v Speaker 2>and I'm thinking, well, maybe it was a bear. There's
<v Speaker 2>a lot of bears up there. So walked back down
<v Speaker 2>the hill, got to the road. As soon as I
<v Speaker 2>got to the road, I felt a little better and
<v Speaker 2>walked the four or five hundred yards back up the
<v Speaker 2>road back to camp, sat down, made some lunch, no
<v Speaker 2>big deal. Definitely kind of freaked out the whole day,
<v Speaker 2>and later that day my uncle and a couple buddies
<v Speaker 2>that we were with decided to go back into town
<v Speaker 2>to get some stuff. We weren't going to hunt that afternoon,
<v Speaker 2>and this is when it really freaked me out. So
<v Speaker 2>as we're driving down the road right where I came out,
<v Speaker 2>I had placed a little pink ribbon up in the
<v Speaker 2>tree so that my uncles would knew where I went
<v Speaker 2>up in. And right there next to my ribbon, there's
<v Speaker 2>a small pine sapling and not actually not very small
<v Speaker 2>at all. It was probably about four or five inches
<v Speaker 2>in diameter. Is broken above my head and I'm six
<v Speaker 2>foot two, so it's above my head, so probably six
<v Speaker 2>and a half to seven feet. It snapped, and it's
<v Speaker 2>just leaned towards the road. Extremely fresh. Was not there
<v Speaker 2>when I was there. I hadn't noticed that for sure,
<v Speaker 2>and that really kind of creaked me out. As soon
<v Speaker 2>as I seen that, I said, ooh, okay, so there
<v Speaker 2>was actually something there, and there was something probably following
<v Speaker 2>me down the hill. And I didn't hunt the rest
<v Speaker 2>of the weekend. I just stayed around camping and chilled.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it sounds like they were sending you a message,
<v Speaker 1>and they were letting you know that they were watching you.
<v Speaker 1>And I do believe the creature that pushed down. The
<v Speaker 1>tree is the same one that broke the sapling next
<v Speaker 1>to the ribbon, and I've had an experience like that
<v Speaker 1>one time. This was years ago, before I even knew
<v Speaker 1>that sasquatch existed. I set up a black chair in
<v Speaker 1>the woods next to this thick cedar tree, and I
<v Speaker 1>was just trying to, you know, get some cover when
<v Speaker 1>I was rifle hunting. But I didn't see anything that day.
<v Speaker 1>And it's a spot where the deer usually cross up
<v Speaker 1>the driveway. And this is the same exact spot where
<v Speaker 1>I talked about earlier where I got whistled, that same
<v Speaker 1>same exact area, but I didn't see anything that day.
<v Speaker 1>It got dark, I went home. There was no rain,
<v Speaker 1>no wind, no bad weather. I go back the next
<v Speaker 1>day and that cedar tree it's about I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>I would say like six to eight inches in diameter,
<v Speaker 1>is snapped about eight feet high, and it's it's so
<v Speaker 1>fresh that you can smell the cedar, and I mean
<v Speaker 1>like it just broke. And I had been sitting next
<v Speaker 1>to that cedar tree, so I just thought to myself, like, Wow,
<v Speaker 1>that's weird. It didn't rain, there was no wind at all,
<v Speaker 1>Like it was just a dead silent night, and I
<v Speaker 1>didn't I didn't know what it was. I kind of
<v Speaker 1>chuckled and said, huh, maybe it was bigfoot. But after
<v Speaker 1>that I just kind of brushed it off and continued hunting.
<v Speaker 1>And that that same spot years later ended up being
<v Speaker 1>where I had encounters at where all kinds of stuff happened.
<v Speaker 1>But I feel like they're sending you a message, like
<v Speaker 1>they knew, like, hey, we were watching you sit sitting
<v Speaker 1>here hunting, and they were letting me know that they
<v Speaker 1>were watching me. But at the time, I was just like, what,
<v Speaker 1>how does a cedar tree just break like that?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? And then that was the curious part when I
<v Speaker 2>seen the tree, because everything else I could kind of
<v Speaker 2>play off, well, a tree fell, I'm nervous, I'm walking
<v Speaker 2>back down the hill, maybe I'm hearing things, whatever. But
<v Speaker 2>when I seen the tree that was broken and just
<v Speaker 2>hours before it was not broken, and this is a
<v Speaker 2>pretty large tree, you know, nothing I'm going to break
<v Speaker 2>or anyone else is going to break that. Really that
<v Speaker 2>really got to me, just because it was visual, you know,
<v Speaker 2>evidence that I could see, and I couldn't play off
<v Speaker 2>other than something broke it. I mean, it didn't break
<v Speaker 2>on its own. It's a healthy tree. There's nothing wrong
<v Speaker 2>with it. So yeah, so that's that's uh, that's kind
<v Speaker 2>of New York. And that brings me kind of back
<v Speaker 2>to North Carolina. So what happened in North Carolina actually
<v Speaker 2>happened a few times kind of without me really understanding
<v Speaker 2>it until a few years later. So I was on
<v Speaker 2>Lee Game Lands, which is in Lee County, North Carolina,
<v Speaker 2>not too far from Harnett County, where you've had some
<v Speaker 2>other You've had some other folks on that have been
<v Speaker 2>talking about some encounters. So I'm hunting in a place
<v Speaker 2>that's inside of planet pines, about eight foot tall, and
<v Speaker 2>it's a why of hardwoods that's about thirty yards. Why,
<v Speaker 2>it's a bottom that they actually left when they logged it.
<v Speaker 2>They're not allowed to log the creek bottoms. They have
<v Speaker 2>to stay so far off of the creeks when they
<v Speaker 2>log it. So you're left with these hardwood veins and
<v Speaker 2>they make for really good hunting spots because they're great funnels.
<v Speaker 2>So it's it's the base of a hy and seeing
<v Speaker 2>a bunch of deer. This was late October. I'd hunted
<v Speaker 2>there all through the bow season. It's it's now it's
<v Speaker 2>now muzzle over season. I didn't have a muzzle otter still,
<v Speaker 2>so I still had my bow. I loved bow hunt,
<v Speaker 2>so I was always out with my bow and I
<v Speaker 2>would blow on my grunt call. I had a little uh,
<v Speaker 2>a little can call, one of the primost can calls
<v Speaker 2>that you flip over and you know, it's getting to
<v Speaker 2>that rout time, it's getting towards Halloween. So I would
<v Speaker 2>flip it over a couple of times and it would
<v Speaker 2>dobely and something would come running off of the the
<v Speaker 2>top of the hill down to the edge of the
<v Speaker 2>pines really loud, like super loud, uh, to the point
<v Speaker 2>where I actually I got a little nervous, but then
<v Speaker 2>really excited because I thought, oh man, this is you know,
<v Speaker 2>this is a big one. He's going to come out
<v Speaker 2>of the pines and I'm gonna I'm gonna get a shot.
<v Speaker 2>And it would get to the edge of the pines,
<v Speaker 2>you know, not far from me, maybe twenty yards because
<v Speaker 2>again this this only thirty yards wide. You'd get to
<v Speaker 2>the edge of the pines and then it would just
<v Speaker 2>pace up and down the pines, and the pacing was
<v Speaker 2>extremely odd sounding. It didn't sound like a deer. You know,
<v Speaker 2>you know, you know the sound of a deer. You
<v Speaker 2>know the fore feet you can hear all four hit
<v Speaker 2>in the ground. This did not sound like this. This
<v Speaker 2>sounded like like me trying to be sneaky. But it's
<v Speaker 2>so close that I can hear it. I can hear
<v Speaker 2>twigs pop, and then a few feet later, I'll hear
<v Speaker 2>it down a little further and it would pace for
<v Speaker 2>a couple of minutes, and then it would just go
<v Speaker 2>quiet and then nothing. And then an hour later I
<v Speaker 2>would I'd hit the can call again, you know, trying
<v Speaker 2>to get that buck to come out, because I'm still
<v Speaker 2>thinking it's a book, and it would run back down
<v Speaker 2>to the pledge of the pines and do the same thing.
<v Speaker 2>So that happened several times in that spot. And then
<v Speaker 2>what was very odd was I would sit in different
<v Speaker 2>places around this block of planted pines, about a three
<v Speaker 2>hundred acre block of pines, and I wouldn't always sit
<v Speaker 2>in just that one spot. I'd sit in different places
<v Speaker 2>around it, and no matter where I sat, it did
<v Speaker 2>not matter. No matter where I sat. Within a half
<v Speaker 2>hour of me getting settled into my tree, stand, here
<v Speaker 2>comes that noise again, and a lot of times I
<v Speaker 2>didn't even have to blow on my grunk call or
<v Speaker 2>use the cand call. I would just start hearing it
<v Speaker 2>very very strange, like there is someone walking in the
<v Speaker 2>pines up, you know, back and forth on the edge,
<v Speaker 2>trying almost just pacing. And what was really strange about
<v Speaker 2>it is I actually, at some point in time I
<v Speaker 2>had deer below me. I would have I would I
<v Speaker 2>had a spice corn one night walked right under my stand.
<v Speaker 2>I had no intention of shooting it. I was a
<v Speaker 2>mile and a half from the truck. And as this
<v Speaker 2>thing is walking around, I can I can hear it
<v Speaker 2>clear as day, walking around and there's a deer below me,
<v Speaker 2>and he's walking around and he's completely unfazed by what's
<v Speaker 2>going on over by the pines, which is just really strange.
<v Speaker 2>I mean just very like almost like she didn't hear
<v Speaker 2>what I was hearing. Really really strange. But yeah, So
<v Speaker 2>on that same piece of land, I was hunting up
<v Speaker 2>in the front one day. So day after Christmas, I
<v Speaker 2>decided I'm going to get out in the woods and
<v Speaker 2>take a break. I had been putting together Christmas toys
<v Speaker 2>for a day and I was exhausted and sitting on
<v Speaker 2>the front side of this, of this, of this area,
<v Speaker 2>the pines are all rowed up. So here in the
<v Speaker 2>south when a lot of times they'll take the pine
<v Speaker 2>trees and they'll row them up to create space in
<v Speaker 2>between the pines. The pines grow better the ones that
<v Speaker 2>they leave, the ones that they log, they'll take the pulpwood.
<v Speaker 2>So you'll have these long rode up you know, roads
<v Speaker 2>of pine trees. And I'm sitting in it and up
<v Speaker 2>at the top of the hill probably one hundred and
<v Speaker 2>fifty yards, I hear this whacking on a tree. I'm like, man,
<v Speaker 2>that's really odd. Who's up there building something right now?
<v Speaker 2>And I would hear, you know, wa, whack, whack, you know,
<v Speaker 2>thirty seconds ago, go quiet, and then again wow wow.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, man, somebody's doing something up there, but
<v Speaker 2>this public land, I don't know why anyone would be
<v Speaker 2>up there whacking on something. And that kind of stopped.
<v Speaker 2>And about an hour later, we're now about an hour
<v Speaker 2>before dark, I hear what I thought was, I almost
<v Speaker 2>was certain at the time was another hunter walking up
<v Speaker 2>behind me. It's extremely thick behind me. So in where
<v Speaker 2>they have all the road up roads, the pines that
<v Speaker 2>are left get extremely thick with holly trees and all
<v Speaker 2>kinds of other stuff, and you really can't even see them.
<v Speaker 2>So I really couldn't see behind me, but I thought
<v Speaker 2>for sure that another hunter was going to pop right
<v Speaker 2>out behind me, because he was walking right up to me.
<v Speaker 2>And as he got fifteen yards from me ten yard,
<v Speaker 2>I mean really close, the walking got really quiet and
<v Speaker 2>got really sneaky, and then just stopped. And at that
<v Speaker 2>point I got really creeped out again, and I said,
<v Speaker 2>all right, I'm just I'm gonna get down because I
<v Speaker 2>don't want to. I don't know what's over there. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know what's on the top of the hill hitting
<v Speaker 2>the tree, but I just feel really uneasy. I'm not
<v Speaker 2>enjoying myself. So I got down and left. So yeah,
<v Speaker 2>so that's kind of that's what happened on League Game Lands.
<v Speaker 2>I hadn't I swore that place off. I hadn't been
<v Speaker 2>over there in years. My son and I or my
<v Speaker 2>son wanted to go over there just out for turkeys
<v Speaker 2>this year, so we went over and I immediately found
<v Speaker 2>a a sapling that's probably three or four in a
<v Speaker 2>pine sapling three or four inches around, and it's bent
<v Speaker 2>around and weaved in, weaved into some other trees, and
<v Speaker 2>then another pine tree about four inches is stuck up
<v Speaker 2>through it with the with the butt end up in
<v Speaker 2>the air. And I looked at that, and I looked
<v Speaker 2>at my son, and I said, buddy, we're gonna go
<v Speaker 2>look somewhere else. I just this this land has always
<v Speaker 2>been creepy. The day I walked around on it the
<v Speaker 2>first time, it was creepy. I just didn't have anywhere
<v Speaker 2>else to go at the time. But it's always been creepy.
<v Speaker 2>So so every time you would see a deer on
<v Speaker 2>that land, Miguel, it would always be running. That was
<v Speaker 2>always a strange thing. And I picked up on that
<v Speaker 2>years later when I started doing more research. You never
<v Speaker 2>seen a deer that was not running. It was always nervous.
<v Speaker 2>It was always moving, and deer, you know, there's skittish,
<v Speaker 2>especially on public land. Certain times a year they can
<v Speaker 2>be skittish. But opening day of bose season, all of
<v Speaker 2>a sudden, you'd see deer just running through the woods randomly,
<v Speaker 2>like they're spooked. And it was just it, just it all.
<v Speaker 2>It was just the oddness of that place kind of all.
<v Speaker 2>It was just a lot of little details that all
<v Speaker 2>kind of came together. And it was actually years later
<v Speaker 2>that I heard carry Arnold's encounter and when he started
<v Speaker 2>talking about the can call and whatever it was that
<v Speaker 2>he had out there was running down through the pines,
<v Speaker 2>it was a uh you ever seems lock homes where
<v Speaker 2>he puts all the pieces of the puzzle together in
<v Speaker 2>his brain and he solves the mystery in like two seconds.
<v Speaker 2>It happened. That happened in my brain like twenty twenty
<v Speaker 2>five years of bow hunting, all of the strange little
<v Speaker 2>things that happened, that dots all connected like all at once,
<v Speaker 2>Like oh my god, that's what this has been this
<v Speaker 2>entire time, and I didn't know it, and it really
<v Speaker 2>threw me for a loop. I mean it, I didn't
<v Speaker 2>hunt for a couple of years really all that much
<v Speaker 2>because it really bothered me because all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 2>you have the realization that you're not the only thing there,
<v Speaker 2>You're not the biggest, baddest thing in the woods, even
<v Speaker 2>though that's what you've been taught since you were a kid,
<v Speaker 2>because that's kind of how us hunters are. We're kind
<v Speaker 2>of arrogant in that way. And it really threw me
<v Speaker 2>for a loop.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, yeah, I can understand that. So once you
<v Speaker 1>heard other people's experiences and realize this is the same
<v Speaker 1>stuff that's been happening to me, it hits you hard
<v Speaker 1>that this was bigfoot in the woods this whole time.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, absolutely. And you know, after that, I went
<v Speaker 2>up to a place called Buttoner Game Winds, which is
<v Speaker 2>an archery only piece. It's actually just north a Rally,
<v Speaker 2>which is pretty populated area. But I found all kinds
<v Speaker 2>of strange tree structures up there. I heard a lot
<v Speaker 2>of weird noises, weird. I thought I heard voices one
<v Speaker 2>day coming from the bottom that I couldn't really make out.
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was people walking around talking, but it
<v Speaker 2>was in a place where you really wouldn't be walking
<v Speaker 2>around hiking. It was really thick and nasty. My son
<v Speaker 2>and I actually this was a really strange event I
<v Speaker 2>had totally forgotten about until now. We had walked into
<v Speaker 2>a little block of woods that was surrounded by pines again,
<v Speaker 2>and it was a little hardwood section, probably about five
<v Speaker 2>acres of standing white oaks that they left and my
<v Speaker 2>son and I, he was young at the time, he
<v Speaker 2>was like twelve. He was learning how to hunt hunt
<v Speaker 2>in the tree right next to me in his tree stand,
<v Speaker 2>and I would be in mind. We got up, seen
<v Speaker 2>some deer, had a good mooring, whatever. But you know,
<v Speaker 2>at this time, this is after the league game lands event,
<v Speaker 2>so I'm nervous still. I'm trying to get back out
<v Speaker 2>into the woods, trying to reclaim some of that. And
<v Speaker 2>we're walking back out about ten thirty eleven o'clock on
<v Speaker 2>the same trail that we had walked in on, you know,
<v Speaker 2>just a little trail I'd clipped through the pines, and
<v Speaker 2>we got out to where the little trail met a
<v Speaker 2>bigger four wheeler trail, and right there in the trail
<v Speaker 2>is a rabbit with no head. Sounds really strange, but
<v Speaker 2>there was a rabbit with no head placed in the
<v Speaker 2>center of the trail that was not there two hours,
<v Speaker 2>three hours earlier when we walked in.
<v Speaker 1>Wow.
<v Speaker 2>I've been out in the woods for thirty years. I
<v Speaker 2>have never seen a rabbit with no head, just randomly.
<v Speaker 2>That's just that's really strange.
<v Speaker 1>I found the same thing here when I was having
<v Speaker 1>the big foot encounters. They put it right in the
<v Speaker 1>center of the road and the head was messing. I
<v Speaker 1>posted it online, but people are like, oh, that's an owl,
<v Speaker 1>without a doubt. But it's like, no, you don't understand.
<v Speaker 1>I've been seeing sasquatch out in the woods. Then I
<v Speaker 1>find this rabbit right in the middle of the trail.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like, again they're sending me a message, and
<v Speaker 1>I think that's what they were doing with you.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and it's the rabbit, you know, like you said
<v Speaker 2>it might be maybe an owl. It wasn't picked off.
<v Speaker 2>It was twisted off. There was no head there. It
<v Speaker 2>was like it was like if if you know, you
<v Speaker 2>took a marshmallow and you twisted it in half. That's
<v Speaker 2>that's really what it was like. But yeah, that really
<v Speaker 2>creeped me out. My son actually, two days later, we
<v Speaker 2>were camping up in the area he shot his first deer.
<v Speaker 2>I was at camp, I wasn't hunting that afternoon. I
<v Speaker 2>had just I was just really spooked from the morning
<v Speaker 2>before and trying to keep this all to myself because
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to freak my son out because he
<v Speaker 2>loves hunting. To this day, he doesn't even like to
<v Speaker 2>talk about this subject because he loves hunting so much
<v Speaker 2>he doesn't want it to influence on which I understand.
<v Speaker 2>I totally get it. But I was trying to keep
<v Speaker 2>this all to myself. So I was just like, hey, y'all,
<v Speaker 2>go ahead, I'm gonna, you know, just hang around camp
<v Speaker 2>and and you know, make dinner and clean up and whatever.
<v Speaker 2>And so they all went out, and my son actually
<v Speaker 2>shot is his first year with the bow that evening.
<v Speaker 2>So I was like, you called me, and I said, oh, great, well,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I'll come help you track it. And on
<v Speaker 2>the way in maybe one hundred yards from where I
<v Speaker 2>found that headless rabbit a day or two before I
<v Speaker 2>found it, And finally the one and only print that
<v Speaker 2>I've ever found in the woods, the only track. Strange
<v Speaker 2>thing about this one only had three toes, but they
<v Speaker 2>weren't they didn't. They weren't dog like or anything like.
<v Speaker 2>It was very human like, but only just three toes,
<v Speaker 2>three spleyed toes, but one very clear footprint bigger than mine.
<v Speaker 2>I were a size twelve foot or twelve foot dush sorry,
<v Speaker 2>so I was twelve shoe and bigger than mine by
<v Speaker 2>a few inches. But just one track where it like
<v Speaker 2>stepped out of the woods on the logging road and
<v Speaker 2>then over the logging road. Couldn't see any tracks on
<v Speaker 2>either side, but just that one right in the center.
<v Speaker 2>I did not get a picture of it, like an idiot.
<v Speaker 2>As again, I was with my with one of my uncles,
<v Speaker 2>and I didn't want to stop and draw attention to
<v Speaker 2>it because I just, you know, there's just the I
<v Speaker 2>they don't believe any of this, and I don't want
<v Speaker 2>to bring it up as kind of the Waco in camp,
<v Speaker 2>you know, because I'm trying to kind of keep this
<v Speaker 2>all to myself still. But yeah, that was another very
<v Speaker 2>strange experience, and you know, and I'm sure in between
<v Speaker 2>that there's been a hundred other little small things. But uh,
<v Speaker 2>like I said, I don't I don't have the most
<v Speaker 2>extreme stories compared to a lot of people, just a
<v Speaker 2>lot of a lot of small things that kind of
<v Speaker 2>all came together for me in a short period of
<v Speaker 2>time to when I kind of realized that there's there's
<v Speaker 2>something more to the woods than meets the eye. And
<v Speaker 2>I think there personally, I think there always has been.
<v Speaker 2>I think it's something that human beings have been dealing
<v Speaker 2>with since uh well since forever. I think over the
<v Speaker 2>last hundred years or so, we've gotten really arrogant and
<v Speaker 2>what we believe we know about the world because of
<v Speaker 2>our smartphones and Google Maps has everything named. And you know,
<v Speaker 2>as a hunter, you've you know, you're taught that you're
<v Speaker 2>the biggest thing in the woods and nothing's going to
<v Speaker 2>bother you. And and uh, we're just we're very arrogant
<v Speaker 2>about things that we don't really understand. And I've told
<v Speaker 2>my son, I was like, buddy, you don't know. You
<v Speaker 2>don't know what's going on in our backyard at three am,
<v Speaker 2>much less in the middle of the Adirondecks, where you
<v Speaker 2>have two million acres of unbroken woods.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. So absolutely. And you know when people think of Bigfoot,
<v Speaker 1>they think it's highly unlikely. And you know, people think
<v Speaker 1>of New York and they think of tons of people.
<v Speaker 1>But if you look on a map, there is a
<v Speaker 1>ton of forests in New York. And I think Maine
<v Speaker 1>has the most forest in the lower forty eight and
<v Speaker 1>I think it goes like Alaska, Maine, New Hampshire, West Virginia,
<v Speaker 1>and Vermont, like they have the most forest out of
<v Speaker 1>any other states. So, you know, a lot of people
<v Speaker 1>think of New York and they're like, oh, that can't
<v Speaker 1>be possible for sasquatch to be there. But the truth
<v Speaker 1>is if you zoom in on a map, it's just
<v Speaker 1>dense forest. Almost every word look exactly. And you know
<v Speaker 1>here in the South. You know there's a lot of
<v Speaker 1>people that obviously live in the South, but it's this.
<v Speaker 2>Is timber country. From here to Louisiana is pine trees.
<v Speaker 2>The whole place is pine trees. And now they log
<v Speaker 2>it a lot, and you pine trees grow up. But
<v Speaker 2>it acts like big woods. The South actually hunts kind
<v Speaker 2>of lake big woods because of these the acreage that
<v Speaker 2>you're dealing with a lot of times, and given that
<v Speaker 2>there's a lot of places for things to hide. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>it's extremely thick. The South is thick, thick. But then
<v Speaker 2>you know, I've I've found weird things in Missouri. I
<v Speaker 2>go to Missouri every year to hunt, and we go
<v Speaker 2>to Reform Conservation Area, which is a it's in Calloway County,
<v Speaker 2>right central Missouri, and I have found we found. We
<v Speaker 2>came up onto this little knoll on top of the
<v Speaker 2>ridge and we found probably ten broken saplings. They weren't
<v Speaker 2>very big, they were probably only an inch and a
<v Speaker 2>half two inches around, but they've some and they varied
<v Speaker 2>from a couple feet off the ground to four or
<v Speaker 2>five feet off the ground to one that was almost
<v Speaker 2>twelve feet off the ground. And there's probably ten or
<v Speaker 2>twelve of them just broken, just all snacked like you
<v Speaker 2>would snap a pencil. And you know, Missouri is a
<v Speaker 2>you know where we were is a lot of just
<v Speaker 2>wood lots. It's not it's not solid land. So it's
<v Speaker 2>really interest one of these where people see these things
<v Speaker 2>and where people have these encounters, because sometimes it's in
<v Speaker 2>dense forests and sometimes it's not. Sometimes it's right in
<v Speaker 2>your backyards.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, a lot of times it's like on farmland where
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot of woods, but at the same time
<v Speaker 1>people huge fields, cattle, things like that. And yeah, it's
<v Speaker 1>very interesting how these things can hide so well. And yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that county is not too far away from me. I
<v Speaker 1>guess that's like east of Columbia, close to the Missouri River.
<v Speaker 1>And I've been in that area before. Yeah, okay, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>And the fact that you hunted in the Hudson Gorge
<v Speaker 1>Wilderness area, that's impressive. Are are you not afraid of
<v Speaker 1>getting lost in the woods that big?
<v Speaker 2>So I was nervous for sure. I had a GPS
<v Speaker 2>with me. I made sure I brought my GPS and
<v Speaker 2>I made sure before I left the main highway down
<v Speaker 2>where I had a little bit of self service that
<v Speaker 2>my Google mass was running so that when I got
<v Speaker 2>up into an area with no cell service, I could
<v Speaker 2>still see where I was. So yes, I was nervous
<v Speaker 2>because I was like, well, if my phone dies or
<v Speaker 2>my GPS dies, I don't know where I am, which
<v Speaker 2>is why the all of the you know, that encounter
<v Speaker 2>and the ironics didn't happen particularly far from a road. Now,
<v Speaker 2>when I say a road, this is a gravel mountain
<v Speaker 2>road that kind of just cuts sneaks up through the mountains.
<v Speaker 2>This is not a highway, this is just a little
<v Speaker 2>access for it. But I did not get far off
<v Speaker 2>of it. I was only four or five hundred yards
<v Speaker 2>total from it where this happened, and maybe only a
<v Speaker 2>thousand yards from camp. And when I say camp, it
<v Speaker 2>was just a place where we pulled over on the
<v Speaker 2>side of the road. So extremely remote area.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely sure. And I find that these creatures are
<v Speaker 1>hanging out closer to parking lots, closer to people's properties
<v Speaker 1>than in the deep woods. And I think the reason
<v Speaker 1>behind that is they like they like to watch people,

<v Speaker 2>and you know what's really strange to me, go is
<v Speaker 2>I have these times where I leave this subject alone
<v Speaker 2>and I don't really want to mess with it, and
<v Speaker 2>for whatever reason, I'm kind of drawn back to it
<v Speaker 2>and I start researching, and again, especially right before Turkey season,
<v Speaker 2>when I know I'm about to get back into the woods,
<v Speaker 2>I get back into the subject again, and every time
<v Speaker 2>it happens I start researching again, something weird happens again.
<v Speaker 2>I had like an eight months dry spell where I
<v Speaker 2>did not touch this subject. So I don't I'm just
<v Speaker 2>I'm done with it. I don't I don't know what
<v Speaker 2>this is, I don't care whatever. And I got back
<v Speaker 2>into it for a couple of nights. I was actually
<v Speaker 2>watching your show and some other shows, and I was
<v Speaker 2>upstairs brushing my teeth and something smacked the side of
<v Speaker 2>my house hard. I never in my life have I
<v Speaker 2>ever had anything hit my house. I don't. I don't. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>there's no way that anything hit it, Like, no one
<v Speaker 2>threw something at it. It just And this was eleven
<v Speaker 2>o'clock at night. I was upstairs getting ready to go
<v Speaker 2>to bed. Someone smacked the side of the house. And
<v Speaker 2>then the next morning after that, my son comes in
<v Speaker 2>and says, Dad, what's with this little rock? And it's
<v Speaker 2>this little rock, a little smooth, polished stone. I have
<v Speaker 2>no idea. I've never seen it in my life. I
<v Speaker 2>have no idea where it came from. And it said
<v Speaker 2>Honor on the back of it, the word honor on it.
<v Speaker 2>No idea what that means. And it's just placed in
<v Speaker 2>the center of my back deck. No idea. It's like, Dad,
<v Speaker 2>what is this? I said, I do, buddy, I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Just strange things. But I've been kind of prone to
<v Speaker 2>that throughout my life. I've had strange experiences, strange kind
<v Speaker 2>of I don't want to say paranormal, but just things
<v Speaker 2>would happen in houses, and I'm very sensitive to that
<v Speaker 2>sort of stuff. I kind of feel that when I
<v Speaker 2>walk into a room, walk into a house, I can
<v Speaker 2>really feel what's kind of going on around the house.
<v Speaker 2>I can feel the tension off with people. I'm always
<v Speaker 2>been really good at reading a room, but because of that,
<v Speaker 2>I have a hard time just turning that off. You know,
<v Speaker 2>when I go in the woods, that kind of follows me.
<v Speaker 2>So I always stay really hyper aware. Most hunters are
<v Speaker 2>hyper aware, but I am really hyper aware.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, I know exactly what it is. But I
<v Speaker 1>know exactly what you mean. And yeah, this subject does
<v Speaker 1>have a way of drawing you back in. And something
<v Speaker 1>slapping the side of the house that does sound like
<v Speaker 1>bigfoot activity. I've heard of bigfoot encounters by Fort Bragg.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure if you live close to there. I
<v Speaker 1>know you work there, but yeah, I know these creatures
<v Speaker 1>are around the area. So it seems like there's some connection
<v Speaker 1>with you and the sasquatch creatures. And I feel the
<v Speaker 1>same way about the activity myself. Do you feel like
<v Speaker 1>possibly there's a connection with you and these cryptid creatures,
<v Speaker 1>because it sounds like you've had activity your entire life,
<v Speaker 1>from the time that you were seven years old and
<v Speaker 1>you saw that huge jet black figure all the way
<v Speaker 1>till now where you if you're having the house slaps
<v Speaker 1>so there's something definitely going on, and it does seem
<v Speaker 1>to be supernatural to me anyways. I mean, I find
<v Speaker 1>it unusual that some people have encounters their entire lives
<v Speaker 1>and multiple eye sightings and many experiences with these creatures,
<v Speaker 1>and the next guy has never seen or heard anything,
<v Speaker 1>and he's out in the woods all the time as well.
<v Speaker 1>So what do you think about that? Do you feel
<v Speaker 1>like you're marked or tagged by these creatures? What are
<v Speaker 1>your thoughts about it?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know, I've thought about that a lot. I
<v Speaker 2>think certain people are maybe a little more you know,
<v Speaker 2>they talk about emotional like you, how you can have
<v Speaker 2>a high emotional like you, you have a lot of
<v Speaker 2>empathy and you can put yourself in people's shoes. I
<v Speaker 2>have that always been that way. I think you can
<v Speaker 2>have the same thing on the spiritual end of things,
<v Speaker 2>where you're spiritually just a little more in tune than
<v Speaker 2>some other people. My younger brother who has grown up
<v Speaker 2>hunting right alongside. I mean, he's three years younger than
<v Speaker 2>I am. Very logical thinker, graduated UNC with math degrees
<v Speaker 2>and biology degrees. Very just very very you know, I'm
<v Speaker 2>the rails type thinker, and he has not experienced a
<v Speaker 2>lot of the things that I've experienced in the same
<v Speaker 2>woods around the same time, and I can never figure
<v Speaker 2>out why. And it's like, well, maybe I'm just I'm
<v Speaker 2>not sure able to hear it, but just listening for it.
<v Speaker 2>Like there's a part of me that's more in tune
<v Speaker 2>with it than maybe some other people, and that's why
<v Speaker 2>you experienced things on a more regular basis than some
<v Speaker 2>other people. And the fact that I've been a hunter
<v Speaker 2>for well, I'm thirty eight and I've been doing it
<v Speaker 2>since i was fourteen, and I'm not a normal hunter.
<v Speaker 2>I've been hunted as much the last handful of years
<v Speaker 2>as I've gotten older, and these experiences have kind of
<v Speaker 2>curtailed as much as you know, the amount of time
<v Speaker 2>I'm in the woods. But when I was in my
<v Speaker 2>twenty hunt it every day. I didn't have I ran
<v Speaker 2>my own landscaping business, so I could run much, so
<v Speaker 2>I could hunt every day. So between just being kind
<v Speaker 2>of spiritually into you know, I'm an Avid or I'm
<v Speaker 2>a devout Christian, have been my entire life, so that
<v Speaker 2>spiritual one of me is active, and then just being
<v Speaker 2>in the woods a lot, I think maybe you're just
<v Speaker 2>prone to it. And once you have an experience and
<v Speaker 2>you learn some things, now you you can't unsee it.
<v Speaker 2>You can't put the genie back in the bottle, unfortunately,
<v Speaker 2>as much as I would like to. When you walk
<v Speaker 2>out into the woods, and I'm sure you're the same way,
<v Speaker 2>you see things. You see the trees that are broken
<v Speaker 2>at your head level for no particular reason, and none
<v Speaker 2>of the other ones are broken, or like I seen
<v Speaker 2>the other day, that's weaved into the other ones and
<v Speaker 2>it's just extremely strange and it didn't grow that way.
<v Speaker 2>And then the butt end of another tree is shoved
<v Speaker 2>up through it. So you just see really strange things.
<v Speaker 2>And that's just I think that's just part of you know,
<v Speaker 2>you kind of took the red pill, so to speak,
<v Speaker 2>like in the matrix, and you just that's the way
<v Speaker 2>it is.
<v Speaker 1>If you really are marked or tagged by these creatures.
<v Speaker 1>One way to know is when you go in the woods,
<v Speaker 1>not every time, but every so often, you'll have bigfoot activity,
<v Speaker 1>which you are. Another thing is when you drive to
<v Speaker 1>random areas. Let's say your uncle says, hey, let's go
<v Speaker 1>to Tim's house. He lives out there by such and
<v Speaker 1>such river. Let's go over there. We got to pick
<v Speaker 1>up some mail, and you go over there, and as
<v Speaker 1>you're driving to Tim's house, I'm just hypothetically speaking. On
<v Speaker 1>the way there, you'll see all these X structures on
<v Speaker 1>the side of the road and all these arches, and
<v Speaker 1>it seems like when you randomly stop and forested areas,
<v Speaker 1>you'll see all these structures, almost like they knew that
<v Speaker 1>you were going to be there before you showed up.
<v Speaker 1>Have you had that, Yeah, that happened before.
<v Speaker 2>One hundred percent. Every time I take a drive, I
<v Speaker 2>will see things that the other people in the car
<v Speaker 2>see or maybe just armed paying attention to. But I
<v Speaker 2>can see the places on the side of the road
<v Speaker 2>where trees are broken, things are twisted, odd things that
<v Speaker 2>you know, just you spend enough time in the woods,
<v Speaker 2>you really get to know what looks normal, and then
<v Speaker 2>when the abnormal things happen you, they really pop out
<v Speaker 2>at you. But yes, I pick up on that stuff
<v Speaker 2>constantly to an annoying point, actually to the point where I,
<v Speaker 2>like I said, I wish you could just you know,
<v Speaker 2>men and black yourself and just bink and just erase
<v Speaker 2>your brain and go back to the way you used
<v Speaker 2>to be where I just walk through the woods without
<v Speaker 2>any fear or anything, and I just, you know, hunted
<v Speaker 2>every day.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, gives me chills just talking about that. And I
<v Speaker 1>guess another example is, let's say you find this new
<v Speaker 1>hunting area in the Hudson Gorge. You've never been there before,
<v Speaker 1>and you go and set up just because you you've
<v Speaker 1>researched on a map, you looked on a trail that
<v Speaker 1>seems to be like an area that would have giant bucks,
<v Speaker 1>and you have the wind in your favor and you
<v Speaker 1>straighttrategically place yourself in this area. Well, when you go there,
<v Speaker 1>you experience wood knocks and in that same area, there's
<v Speaker 1>tree structures everywhere, and it's almost like the structures find you.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how to explain it, but yeah, it
<v Speaker 1>seems it seems like maybe you're like an EmPATH. Or
<v Speaker 1>there's people that say they're attracted to like autistic people.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe it's the Holy Spirit, you know, God gives us
<v Speaker 1>discernment and we're able to pick up on things way
<v Speaker 1>better than other people. Some people call themselves psychics, but
<v Speaker 1>I don't really fall into that, you know what I mean?
<v Speaker 1>But I feel like it's I think, yeah, I feel
<v Speaker 1>like a psychic is just like the Holy Spirit, like
<v Speaker 1>it's discernment. And yeah, I mean depending on if you
<v Speaker 1>use that to guide your life for the better and
<v Speaker 1>the better of other people, or are you just doing
<v Speaker 1>readings on people and trying to protect the future. There's
<v Speaker 1>two different things going on there. But yeah, sure, I
<v Speaker 1>know exactly what you mean. Where you can walk into
<v Speaker 1>a room and you can feel people's emotions and almost
<v Speaker 1>already know what they're going through, what they're thinking, what
<v Speaker 1>people are up to, whether it's good or bad. And yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's definitely a strange thing. I feel like the Sasquatch
<v Speaker 1>are connected to that, to those types of people, whether
<v Speaker 1>you're an EmPATH, autistic, you have this divine discernment in situations.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I feel like they're able to to
<v Speaker 1>gauge those type of people and approach them.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, for sure, I think the same thing, just
<v Speaker 2>based off of, you know, a few years of researching
<v Speaker 2>this topic heavily, people who have routine encounters, they kind
<v Speaker 2>of seem to share similar characteristics, personality traits, and we
<v Speaker 2>all kind of seem to share a lot of that
<v Speaker 2>same stuff. Some people don't. Some people are just seem
<v Speaker 2>to be really just whatever kind of normal joes or whatever,
<v Speaker 2>and they just all of a sudden, one of these
<v Speaker 2>things is standing in front of them. But it seems
<v Speaker 2>more often than not when people have these habitual encounters
<v Speaker 2>every time they go out. This is kind of they're
<v Speaker 2>all the same type of people. Yeah, maybe I don't know. No,
<v Speaker 2>I agree with you and don't hold back here. Have
<v Speaker 2>you ever had a shadow person in your bedroom or
<v Speaker 2>have you ever seen one before? So I've never had
<v Speaker 2>a shadow person, never any sort of shadow. My brother did,
<v Speaker 2>my same brother, who was very sciencey but a Christian
<v Speaker 2>at the same time. So he is he has a
<v Speaker 2>spiritual aspect, but he's just hit the way he thinks
<v Speaker 2>is more on the rails. He's a great mechanic, you know.
<v Speaker 2>He is very good about that sort of thing. But
<v Speaker 2>he had a shadow in his room that actually attacked
<v Speaker 2>him when he was young, when he was about thirteen
<v Speaker 2>or fourteen. He said it actually attacked him and he
<v Speaker 2>was screaming. My father came in. My father's a pastor,
<v Speaker 2>and my father seen it and denounced it in Jesus
<v Speaker 2>name had left the room cleared. He said, it literally
<v Speaker 2>just cleared. I've never had that happen, but my brother did.
<v Speaker 2>And the weirdest thing I've ever happened had happened is
<v Speaker 2>I had a ball of this is let me try
<v Speaker 2>to explain this. My bedroom door was open. It was
<v Speaker 2>three o'clock in the morning. I could not sleep. I
<v Speaker 2>was watching Bob Ross on my phone and relax and
<v Speaker 2>get this sleep. And I look on my door because
<v Speaker 2>it was open, like I said, and my hallway light
<v Speaker 2>was on, which is about eight feet from the door,
<v Speaker 2>so the yellow light was casting on the door from
<v Speaker 2>where the light was on, right well inside of that,
<v Speaker 2>right in the center of the door, I can see
<v Speaker 2>the light. But then another light showed up, about the
<v Speaker 2>size of a basketball, and it was a brighter light
<v Speaker 2>than the hallway light, not a lot brighter, not like
<v Speaker 2>a brilliant white light, but lighter than the hallway light.
<v Speaker 2>And it was moving, almost dancing in a figure eight
<v Speaker 2>pattern on the door, like someone had a flashlight and
<v Speaker 2>they were shining it on the door. So I'm just
<v Speaker 2>staring at this thing, trying to figure out what's going on.
<v Speaker 2>My wife sleeping. I don't dare wake her up because
<v Speaker 2>she would never sleep again. She'd be so terrified. So
<v Speaker 2>I let her be and I'm staring at it, and
<v Speaker 2>I had no idea what this was. And initially I
<v Speaker 2>thought it was somebody with a flashlight. So I actually
<v Speaker 2>I had my nineteen eleven was on the on my
<v Speaker 2>desk next to me. I grabbed it and threw around
<v Speaker 2>in the chamber. So and this was the weirdest thing.
<v Speaker 2>The gul is. As soon as the round went in
<v Speaker 2>the chamber and the slide shut, every light in the
<v Speaker 2>upstairs shut off. And now it's complete blackness. And now
<v Speaker 2>you can imagine, now the hair is and now I'm
<v Speaker 2>freaked out, you know, full adrenaline dump. I jump jump
<v Speaker 2>up out of the bed, throw my light on, throw
<v Speaker 2>the hallway light on. My kids are all fast asleep
<v Speaker 2>in their rooms. Nobody else was in the house. Went
<v Speaker 2>and cleared the whole house. No one was there. Doors
<v Speaker 2>were all locked, windows were all locked. That's That's one
<v Speaker 2>of the strangest like paranormal type experiences I've ever had happened.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that is I what that was. Yeah, it seems
<v Speaker 1>like the supernatural beings can manipulate energy technology, electricity, whether
<v Speaker 1>it's your cell phone, your computer, your TV. And it's
<v Speaker 1>strange how they can do that. But they can. I've
<v Speaker 1>had a lot of experiences in those regards, and it's
<v Speaker 1>definitely terrifying the fact that you racked a you racked
<v Speaker 1>one into the chamber and they shut the lights off.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, that's that's spooky.
<v Speaker 2>That was the spookiest part. It was. It was almost
<v Speaker 2>like it was a movie, like I'm telling you a story,
<v Speaker 2>there's one hundred percent truthful. As soon as that round
<v Speaker 2>went in the chamber, the sound of the slide shutting,
<v Speaker 2>shut the lights off, it's really freaky.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's a good example. When the paranormal stuff happens.
<v Speaker 1>It's almost like you're in a Hollywood horror movie and
<v Speaker 1>it's strange. I don't know how to explain it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, sure is. But yeah, I mean that's I'm sure
<v Speaker 2>I could remember a bunch of other little things, but
<v Speaker 2>those are kind of the major events that have happened
<v Speaker 2>through my twenty five years of hunting. And like I said,
<v Speaker 2>it's not as exciting as some other folks, but interesting
<v Speaker 2>nonetheless because it's a lot of the same experiences. And
<v Speaker 2>that's really what threw me for a loop to begin with.
<v Speaker 2>But his confirmation now is, you know, hearing some of
<v Speaker 2>your things that you've experienced, and it's the same things
<v Speaker 2>that I've experienced, that same things that Carry Arnold experienced,
<v Speaker 2>that Donnie Miller has experienced, and these other people who
<v Speaker 2>have had these wild encounters. None of us knew each other.
<v Speaker 2>We didn't know any of this information, but we're all
<v Speaker 2>telling the same story in different parts of our life.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Absolutely, And in the I can't pronounce it, the
<v Speaker 1>ol Connie Wildlife Area, you said it was a Native
<v Speaker 1>American lands. Do you think there's a connection with the
<v Speaker 1>Native Americans and these cryptid creatures, like maybe it's cursed
<v Speaker 1>or haunted or I've.
<v Speaker 2>Thought that a lot of times, because a lot of
<v Speaker 2>times you can walk on to land and it just
<v Speaker 2>feels weird. The land itself feels weird. I don't know
<v Speaker 2>what that is. Maybe it's events that have happened there
<v Speaker 2>in the past and it's just residual and it's I
<v Speaker 2>don't really know, but I think there's a connection between
<v Speaker 2>these things and that sort of energy sometimes, Yeah, just
<v Speaker 2>my personal opinion.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and it just feels like there's eyeballs all over
<v Speaker 1>you and you you have like this I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>like this static feeling. I don't know like you're being watched.
<v Speaker 1>It's a strange feeling for sure, almost like you walked
<v Speaker 1>into a portal or you're just in another dimension, still
<v Speaker 1>in the same area, but just like something's off.
<v Speaker 2>Sure. Yeah, And I tell my daughter, she's had some
<v Speaker 2>weird things happen, and we live in the same house still.
<v Speaker 2>She the other day she had a little trinket on
<v Speaker 2>her desk move by itself, and she came out and
<v Speaker 2>she's all tricked out. And I said, Grace, we're spiritual
<v Speaker 2>beings living in spiritual world. Weird things happen. Sometimes you
<v Speaker 2>just leave it at that because you're not going to
<v Speaker 2>explain it any better than that. Sometimes just leave it
<v Speaker 2>at that. But I think the same thing goes for
<v Speaker 2>the woods. Just because it's the woods doesn't mean that
<v Speaker 2>you know, uh, spiritual things aren't there, and that thing,
<v Speaker 2>the events in the half, events in the past didn't happen,
<v Speaker 2>and there's some residual effect left over. Maybe you know,
<v Speaker 2>you just you just don't know absolutely.
<v Speaker 1>It's one thing when things that defy logic are happening
<v Speaker 1>in the deep wilderness, but when they happen inside your home,
<v Speaker 1>your safe place, that's when you know the alarm bell
<v Speaker 1>really goes off. You know, it just defies logic. Science
<v Speaker 1>can't explain it. And I feel like it's spiritual warfare
<v Speaker 1>and you can only pray. That's the that's the best
<v Speaker 1>thing we can do. That's our best defense.
<v Speaker 2>And yeah, yeah, I agree, that's all I ever do.
<v Speaker 2>I actually have gotten I've gotten angry at certain times,
<v Speaker 2>and uh, you know it's old things to leave and
<v Speaker 2>Jesus name, you know, with authority, because this is my house,
<v Speaker 2>this is where I am. I do it in the woods.
<v Speaker 2>Sometimes I don't know if that helps hurts, but sometimes
<v Speaker 2>you just get you get fed up with it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Absolutely, that's the best thing you can do. It's
<v Speaker 1>not going to help you to call the cops or
<v Speaker 1>you know, yell at these things and try to get
<v Speaker 1>them to go away. You just got to pray your
<v Speaker 1>way out of it. And you saw this figure that
<v Speaker 1>you thought was your uncle, and then when you whistled,
<v Speaker 1>it hid behind a tree. That's spooky. How big was
<v Speaker 1>this figure? And when your uncle showed up in the
<v Speaker 1>opposite direction, did the figure seem a lot larger than
<v Speaker 1>your uncle?
<v Speaker 2>So it definitely seemed larger than my uncle, given how
<v Speaker 2>far it was away from me. It wasn't right on
<v Speaker 2>top of me. It was, like I said, it was
<v Speaker 2>probably eighty yards one hundred yards down in the bottom,
<v Speaker 2>you know. I think this was probably mid November. I
<v Speaker 2>don't remember the exact date, just one of the many
<v Speaker 2>thousands of times I've been in the woods hunting. But
<v Speaker 2>it was definitely larger than my uncle, much wider than
<v Speaker 2>my uncle. I said. One of the things that kind
<v Speaker 2>of struck me is that when I first seen it
<v Speaker 2>was this thing is bulky, and my uncles are pretty
<v Speaker 2>they're pretty big dudes, but not like this. This was
<v Speaker 2>a bulky, dark figure. I didn't see any color, which
<v Speaker 2>is one of the things that alarmed me right away
<v Speaker 2>is there's this guy's not wearing orange. My uncle had
<v Speaker 2>orange on, he had his hunter orange on. I said,
<v Speaker 2>it's Georgia and it's riful season, so you really need
<v Speaker 2>to pick precautions. Well, whatever this was had no color
<v Speaker 2>about it at all, just dark, much bulkier than my uncles. Couldn't.
<v Speaker 2>I don't remember it being super tall, but again, it's
<v Speaker 2>when you have no real frame or reference, you're not
<v Speaker 2>really thinking that way. It was just the way it
<v Speaker 2>was moving. It was, you know, walking, walking, through the bottom,
<v Speaker 2>very smooth, never heard it, never made a noise, which
<v Speaker 2>was kind of strange. I just I kind of figured
<v Speaker 2>my uncle would make noise. Chomps them through the woods.
<v Speaker 2>Hunters are not particularly quiet, especially a dark a lot
<v Speaker 2>of times when we're on our way out. Yeah, but quiet.
<v Speaker 2>And once I whistled, just got behind this big pine
<v Speaker 2>tree and it was a pretty big tree. That pine
<v Speaker 2>tree was probably the size of a fridge tree.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I've gotten reports, Yeah, I've gotten reports like that
<v Speaker 1>from hunters in Missouri where they see that same figure
<v Speaker 1>right when it gets dark, and I feel like the
<v Speaker 1>hunters are sneaking up on these things. They got the
<v Speaker 1>wind in their favor. They're really quiet when they got
<v Speaker 1>in their stand. And that's when you know you're being
<v Speaker 1>a good hunter, is when the sasquatch have no idea.
<v Speaker 1>You're there and you know they are physical creatures, but
<v Speaker 1>there is a supernatural side to them. But I feel
<v Speaker 1>like they're physical creatures from whatever dimension they come from.
<v Speaker 1>But I mean that's just theorizing, of course, but you
<v Speaker 1>definitely think.
<v Speaker 2>At them at the moment you witness them. It's very spiritual.
<v Speaker 2>Somethings making noise, something's walking around something is whacking a
<v Speaker 2>tree like I've never I've never seen anything with my
<v Speaker 2>eyes that you couldn't say was a person or wasn't
<v Speaker 2>a person. The time when I I was a kid,
<v Speaker 2>very strange jet black figure. I couldn't I couldn't definitively
<v Speaker 2>say yes, that was a sasquash. It was just extremely
<v Speaker 2>odd and scared me to death. And why did that
<v Speaker 2>memory stick in my brain thirty eight years later? Nothing

<v Speaker 2>that walking through the woods. Could it have been a guy, Sure,
<v Speaker 2>it could have been a guy, but just very odd experiences.
<v Speaker 2>And every time I would have an experience like this, Miguel,
<v Speaker 2>it sticks with you. Out of the thousands of times
<v Speaker 2>I've been in the woods, I don't remember most of
<v Speaker 2>the times I've hunted. It's been thirty years, you know,
<v Speaker 2>since I was eight years old when I first started
<v Speaker 2>getting out into the woods. I don't remember all the
<v Speaker 2>times I went into the woods. But those times when
<v Speaker 2>you have these things happen, they stick with you. And
<v Speaker 2>why is that sticking with you? Something about it made
<v Speaker 2>it stick with you.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it was a significant moment, And there's moments in
<v Speaker 1>our lives where we're able to remember them, you know,
<v Speaker 1>our entire lives. Whether you encountered a giant buck, you
<v Speaker 1>caught a huge fish, your first love, getting married, having
<v Speaker 1>your first child, and when you have these types of experiences,
<v Speaker 1>it's really significant and you never forget it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, there's there are times when I believe humans have revelations.
<v Speaker 2>You know, when I was fifteen years old, fourteen years old,
<v Speaker 2>whenever I gave my life to Christ, I was in
<v Speaker 2>my bedroom on my knees praying, asking Jesus to enter
<v Speaker 2>into my life. I couldn't speak. As I was trying
<v Speaker 2>to speak, I could not speak. The words were trying
<v Speaker 2>to make them come out of my mouth. I could
<v Speaker 2>not speak. Something had a hold of me at that
<v Speaker 2>time when I was a young kid, and the words
<v Speaker 2>wouldn't come out. And I finally made the words come out,
<v Speaker 2>and at that point I had a revelation like all right,
<v Speaker 2>God is real, Jesus is real, and it morphs your
<v Speaker 2>whole life. I hadn't had another revelation like that until
<v Speaker 2>that carry onnold experience, and I heard all of these
<v Speaker 2>things and then like I said that or lock homes
<v Speaker 2>event happened and all of these dots connected and that
<v Speaker 2>was another life changing revelation, like, all right, this is
<v Speaker 2>this is real. Always has been real. I didn't know it,
<v Speaker 2>but it's always been real. It's always been there.
<v Speaker 1>When you know, you know, what do you think these
<v Speaker 1>creatures are? Do you feel like it's the end of
<v Speaker 1>the world like in times? Do you think it's just
<v Speaker 1>some relic commonid Do you feel like they're the Nephilim?
<v Speaker 1>What do you think they are?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think it's nephil related, but you know that
<v Speaker 2>could just be my my Christianity speaking.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I mean they were just side of that. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they were giants, they had supernatural abilities, yet they were
<v Speaker 1>physical creatures, and the Nephilum created other animals on this planet,
<v Speaker 1>and I think that was the reason for the flood
<v Speaker 1>and why God had to have two animals male and
<v Speaker 1>female on the arc and Noah's family because he had
<v Speaker 1>to replace the human gene pool and or replenish it
<v Speaker 1>and the animal kingdom.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I do not believe that it's just a relic
<v Speaker 2>comitad or some sort of missing link that's walking around
<v Speaker 2>the woods. Do not believe that there's simply too many
<v Speaker 2>odd ball things that happened with them. And I'm to
<v Speaker 2>be honest with you, if it was just another animal,
<v Speaker 2>we'd have clear pictures of it. We'd have it captured
<v Speaker 2>or dead.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, every other animal. Yeah, it'd be in the zoo
<v Speaker 1>for sure. And I don't know, it's creepy to think about.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe the giants had descendants that weren't giants, Like maybe
<v Speaker 1>they bred with animals. And I kind of think back
<v Speaker 1>on Greek mythology, like man, was that just folklore or
<v Speaker 1>was that the real deal? Like was there animal human hybrids?
<v Speaker 1>And I always thought it was just folklore until I
<v Speaker 1>encountered the cryptive creatures and started learning more about it.
<v Speaker 1>And it's like, Man, that sounds just like Greek mythology
<v Speaker 1>and other ancient cultures that had like these human animal creatures.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't. I don't discount really much of anything anymore.
<v Speaker 2>I think we've been mostly lied to most of our
<v Speaker 2>lives by authorities trying to keep kind of a thumb
<v Speaker 2>on people. They don't want you using your brain, they don't.
<v Speaker 2>They don't want you to believe what you're seeing, even
<v Speaker 2>though you're seeing it. They want you to believe what
<v Speaker 2>they're telling you.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so absolutely, and I mean that's kind of your
<v Speaker 1>work environment. You do what you're told and you know
<v Speaker 1>you're you have to do it a certain way. And
<v Speaker 1>that's the society that we live in for a reason.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, everything's sure, I don't know, not fabricated, but
<v Speaker 1>you know, designed in a way that's pleasing to the
<v Speaker 1>authority figures.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yep. And I think I think shows like yours
<v Speaker 2>have of and you know Sasquatch Chronicles and some of
<v Speaker 2>the other ones where you just where they have just
<v Speaker 2>normal people on a show and they talk about their experiences.
<v Speaker 2>That's really what set it off for me. That's what
<v Speaker 2>kind of drove the nail home because growing up watching
<v Speaker 2>these shows on the Travel Channel and the History Channel,
<v Speaker 2>they would find, you know, Bubba Billy from the back
<v Speaker 2>Woods that had his scope DUC taped to his thirty
<v Speaker 2>six and this was your example of a Sasquatch believer,
<v Speaker 2>you know, so they found the weirdest guy possible and
<v Speaker 2>this was your this was your example. But yeah, in
<v Speaker 2>the last ten years, you hear people from every walk
<v Speaker 2>of life. You know, doctors, lawyers, pastors, engineers, carpenters, and
<v Speaker 2>you know, just regular people and they've all had these
<v Speaker 2>really strange experiences. So what do you do with that?
<v Speaker 1>You know, absolutely and Wes from Sasquatch Chronicles as an
<v Speaker 1>awesome host, and that's kind of what drew me into
<v Speaker 1>the bigfoot topic because you had this these very sincere
<v Speaker 1>people on his show, and you could you can hear
<v Speaker 1>the fear in their voice, and like you mentioned Carrie
<v Speaker 1>Arnold from Bigfoot ot Tossy, like you could tell that
<v Speaker 1>this encounter really affected him and he was out there
<v Speaker 1>turkey hunting and I think he lost like four family members,
<v Speaker 1>like all in a month, and he was out there
<v Speaker 1>trying to clear his mind, and he ran into this
<v Speaker 1>creature and he described it kind of the same way
<v Speaker 1>as you where it was shaking a tree, and of
<v Speaker 1>course the encounter was a little different, but you know,
<v Speaker 1>it's the same activity happening to regular people out there
<v Speaker 1>in the woods, whether they're hunting, fishing, camping, whatever it
<v Speaker 1>may be. And it just goes to show that this
<v Speaker 1>can happen to anyone.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's I've had basically everything happened that Carry Arnold
<v Speaker 2>have had happen other than I've never had one walk
<v Speaker 2>up on me to where I've seen it, And honestly,
<v Speaker 2>to go. Part of the reason I don't hunt as
<v Speaker 2>much as I used to is I don't want that
<v Speaker 2>to happen. I almost don't I almost don't want to
<v Speaker 2>go out. Yeah, that's what is today. The day is today,
<v Speaker 2>the day where I actually seen one of these things,
<v Speaker 2>and I'm like, you know, scarred for life.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, they're slowly revealing themselves to you, and I feel
<v Speaker 1>like that would be next as a class A. I
<v Speaker 1>cite an encounter and maybe they're just trying to keep
<v Speaker 1>you out of the woods, or maybe they want you
<v Speaker 1>to know something something else, And I don't know. I
<v Speaker 1>almost feel like God's revealing these things to us for
<v Speaker 1>a reason.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. So while we were talking about oh, Coney w May,
<v Speaker 2>where I had, you know, quite a few other experiences,
<v Speaker 2>I kind of wanted to mention that I'm not the
<v Speaker 2>only one who had weird experiences in that area. I've
<v Speaker 2>hunted with my five uncles, my brother, several friends, five cousins.
<v Speaker 2>We all kind of hunt together as a family every year,
<v Speaker 2>and a couple of the guys who actually had encounters
<v Speaker 2>out there strange welve strange things happened. I'm kind of
<v Speaker 2>the only one who's come to grips with this. But
<v Speaker 2>so I had a friend friend of the family who
<v Speaker 2>was hunting with us, and he swore up and down
<v Speaker 2>that walking out of that same area where I had
<v Speaker 2>had the encounter where a large man walked out of
<v Speaker 2>the of the pines and I thought it was my uncle.
<v Speaker 2>He was followed out of the woods from that same
<v Speaker 2>spot all the way back to his truck, probably about
<v Speaker 2>a six hundred yard walk, and he said, whatever it
<v Speaker 2>was was pacing him just on the inside of the
<v Speaker 2>tree line, off the logging road. He could never see it,
<v Speaker 2>but he said it was clearly someone on two feet walking.
<v Speaker 2>My other cousins tried to just say that it was
<v Speaker 2>just a person. Maybe it was, but given the the
<v Speaker 2>experiences I had out there, I kind of tend to
<v Speaker 2>believe that it wasn't just a person. My buddy, my
<v Speaker 2>buddy Matt, who I kind of grew up with down
<v Speaker 2>in Georgia, been a friend of the family for decades.
<v Speaker 2>He came out of the woods one night in November
<v Speaker 2>years and years ago and saying that he had been
<v Speaker 2>charged by a buck, and he said it was a buck,
<v Speaker 2>said it was. It ran right up to the edge
<v Speaker 2>of this thicket bulldozing trees down and sat there just
<v Speaker 2>breathing heavy at him and snorting at him, and and
<v Speaker 2>very interesting behavior for a deer. Never heard of a
<v Speaker 2>deer doing that, And I honestly don't think that was
<v Speaker 2>a deer. I think that was one of these things.
<v Speaker 2>But he just doesn't really have that in his brain,
<v Speaker 2>so you automatically think deer because that's all you've got.
<v Speaker 2>But you had just a couple more little weird things
<v Speaker 2>that that happened at Olconey. I found multiple tree structures
<v Speaker 2>out there. I found one where it was broken over
<v Speaker 2>my head. It was a small dog wood, probably about
<v Speaker 2>two inches around. It's broken over my head, and it
<v Speaker 2>was actually tied almost in a knot like it wasn't
<v Speaker 2>just broken, but it was. It was broken and twisted
<v Speaker 2>in a really like It was actually kind of a
<v Speaker 2>cool looking formation right in this little funnel area by
<v Speaker 2>a beaver pond. So I found all sorts of things
<v Speaker 2>out there to support it. And it's just a strange area.
<v Speaker 2>So it's a weird feeling out there. But yeah, I
<v Speaker 2>kind of wanted to just mention that about Olconey wasn't
<v Speaker 2>the only one, but yeah, but I've lived in North
<v Speaker 2>Carolina since twenty thirteen, and I'm an avid bass fisherman
<v Speaker 2>and spend a lot of time on Jordan Lake, which
<v Speaker 2>is in Chatham County, North Carolina. So that land's actually
<v Speaker 2>or that lake's part of the flood control for the
<v Speaker 2>Hall River that feeds the Cape Fear River. And I
<v Speaker 2>know you've had some other guests on that. I've talked
<v Speaker 2>about experiences on the Cape Fear and the swamps that
<v Speaker 2>are on the Cape here. It's a wild place, definitely,
<v Speaker 2>a long history of encounters. So Jordan Lakes in the
<v Speaker 2>Piedmont area of the state. That's kind of where the
<v Speaker 2>land gets really hilly in between the coastal plains and
<v Speaker 2>the Appalachian Mountains. So a lot of ravines, a lot
<v Speaker 2>of steep ridges, that sort of thing where down the
<v Speaker 2>Hall or down by the Cape Fear, by the coast,
<v Speaker 2>it's just real flat and swampy. But so I was
<v Speaker 2>we were out fishing with my wife. This was probably
<v Speaker 2>twenty sixteen ish, so my wife and my brother we
<v Speaker 2>were in a little fourteen foot John boat at the
<v Speaker 2>time and fishing down on the south end of the
<v Speaker 2>lake by pose Ridge Boat ramp. If anyone ever wants
<v Speaker 2>to look it up by a place called Million Dollar Island,
<v Speaker 2>and it's just a small island out in the lake.
<v Speaker 2>It probably only I don't know, one hundred yards from
<v Speaker 2>the mainland shore. And we're bat fishing around this island
<v Speaker 2>and right at dark, maybe thirty forty five minutes of
<v Speaker 2>solid light left, We're fishing at the island with our
<v Speaker 2>backs towards the mainland, and we hear this gigantic splash
<v Speaker 2>right behind us. Huge rock. I mean we're talking the
<v Speaker 2>size of a basketball. It sounded like someone can ball
<v Speaker 2>out of a tree. Definitely wasn't a fish. I know
<v Speaker 2>what does sound like. I've been fishing my entire life.
<v Speaker 2>This was something that was thrown into the water, but
<v Speaker 2>extremely heavy, super loud spot. And we all turned at
<v Speaker 2>the same time like what was that. We've seeing the
<v Speaker 2>you know, the gigantic ripples where the rocket landed. Super confused,
<v Speaker 2>like what did something fall out of the trees? You know,
<v Speaker 2>what is going on? Sat there for a little bit,
<v Speaker 2>really kind of didn't couldn't figure it out. So we
<v Speaker 2>just kind of went back to fish and turned around
<v Speaker 2>and it probably been ten minutes and saying thing another
<v Speaker 2>big rock hit right behind us, turned seeing the splash,
<v Speaker 2>same thing. So my brother and I we got we
<v Speaker 2>got kind of upset because this is this is public
<v Speaker 2>hunting land that surrounds the lake. So we were thinking that,
<v Speaker 2>you know, someone messing with us. You know, it's you know,
<v Speaker 2>what's going on. So we uh, we got upset. We
<v Speaker 2>started yelling and put the motor on and went towards
<v Speaker 2>shore and we were, you know, we were ready to
<v Speaker 2>confront whoever that was or whatever it was. Never made
<v Speaker 2>a peep, didn't make a sound, never walked off, I
<v Speaker 2>have no idea, which is completely dead silent. We got
<v Speaker 2>up by the shore and we both kind of looked
<v Speaker 2>at each other and we're like, all right, this is
<v Speaker 2>a it's a little creepy. So we we turned around
<v Speaker 2>and we just kind of left the area. That same area, Actually,
<v Speaker 2>my wife and I were in January timeframe of this
<v Speaker 2>year and a couple of big hills in that area
<v Speaker 2>right by the lake, and we heard very very audible
<v Speaker 2>wood knocks from the top of the hill. Sounded like
<v Speaker 2>a ball back going to a tree. I heard it,
<v Speaker 2>and my wife I didn't really say anything. I was
<v Speaker 2>waiting to see if if she heard it, and she
<v Speaker 2>heard it and She looked right at me, So, John,
<v Speaker 2>what is that? I said, I think you might know
<v Speaker 2>what that is? And she said, well, can we can
<v Speaker 2>we just leave here because I'm really uncomfortable because it
<v Speaker 2>was loud really close to us, and the noise really
<v Speaker 2>seemed kind of directed at us. If that kind of
<v Speaker 2>makes sense or not, I don't know. But so we
<v Speaker 2>left got out of that area. See what else happened
<v Speaker 2>in that area. Oh yeah, one of the stranger things
<v Speaker 2>happened in that area about two years ago. I was
<v Speaker 2>hunting with my son, my oldest son, Noah. He was
<v Speaker 2>sixteen at the time, and this was Youth Rifle Day.
<v Speaker 2>So in North Carolina, they had a day during the
<v Speaker 2>bust season. It's usually right around the end of September.
<v Speaker 2>I think this was the twenty seventh of September, and
<v Speaker 2>any anyone under the age of seventeen can legally take
<v Speaker 2>their rifle out or any weapon that they want and
<v Speaker 2>cant and harvest to either a buck or a dough
<v Speaker 2>on that day, as long as they're with their you know,
<v Speaker 2>with their guardians. So he was with me, and he
<v Speaker 2>was in a tree that was right next to me.
<v Speaker 2>We both climbed up in our tree stands about eight
<v Speaker 2>thirty in the morning. We had gotten up a little late,
<v Speaker 2>walked around for a little while, kind of did our thing,
<v Speaker 2>and we decided, well, well's sit for kind of a
<v Speaker 2>mid day see what happens. So we were sitting not
<v Speaker 2>far from the lake, far from more all this other
<v Speaker 2>stuff had happened in an area that they had just logged,
<v Speaker 2>thinned out all the pines, and there was a really
<v Speaker 2>really nasty thicket that we were sitting up against. And
<v Speaker 2>this thicket covers an entire hillside, a really large area.
<v Speaker 2>And we were climbing up into our stands, and I
<v Speaker 2>had just gotten up into my climbing stand. I'm a
<v Speaker 2>lot faster at it, or I was at the time
<v Speaker 2>getting up than my son was. He was kind of new,
<v Speaker 2>he'd only been hunting for a couple of years. He
<v Speaker 2>was one of the first times he had ever been
<v Speaker 2>out with his rifle, so he was really kind of
<v Speaker 2>nervous with his rifle and taking things really slow. We
<v Speaker 2>got to him to do and so I got up
<v Speaker 2>and settled down, and I've got my bow, and he's
<v Speaker 2>still got his Uh, he's still got his rifle on
<v Speaker 2>the ground on a rope and he starts pulling it up,
<v Speaker 2>and as he gets it about halfway up the tree,
<v Speaker 2>I hear something come busting off that hill, super loud,
<v Speaker 2>and a big buck jumps out of the thicket really
<v Speaker 2>nice book runs right in front of me and Noah,
<v Speaker 2>and of course had my bow. I can't do anything.
<v Speaker 2>Noah's gun's hanging in the air off of a rope,
<v Speaker 2>so he can't do anything, and it runs off right
<v Speaker 2>by us, and we're just looking at each other like, Wow,
<v Speaker 2>did that really just happen? Well, whatever was chasing him?
<v Speaker 2>I heard behind that deer and it stopped before out
<v Speaker 2>of the thicket, and the buck kept going. And this
<v Speaker 2>thing stopped and it walked up and down this thicket
<v Speaker 2>about fifty yards from me for thirty to forty five seconds.
<v Speaker 2>This was the most clear two legged individual I have
<v Speaker 2>ever heard, definitely on two feet. I mean, there was
<v Speaker 2>no doubt about it. I heard it, Noah heard it,
<v Speaker 2>and it just paced up and down this thicket but
<v Speaker 2>would not come out. Somehow knew we were there. You
<v Speaker 2>smelt us, maybe seeing us climbing up the trees. I
<v Speaker 2>don't really know, but it knew we were there because
<v Speaker 2>it would not come out. But it was hauling behind
<v Speaker 2>this deer, keeping up with the deer. You know, this
<v Speaker 2>is a four and a half year old buck on
<v Speaker 2>a dead sprint, and this thing was right behind it,
<v Speaker 2>keeping up with it, and then just got to the
<v Speaker 2>edge of the thicket and locked it up, just started
<v Speaker 2>walking up and down the edge of of the thicket
<v Speaker 2>and eventually kind of got tired of that and could
<v Speaker 2>hear just mosey beck on off the hill. Just really
<v Speaker 2>really strange. And that's another place that I found all
<v Speaker 2>sorts of of weird tree structures and things like that
<v Speaker 2>over the years, and heard some weird stuff out there,
<v Speaker 2>some weird whistles, and like it's an another place where
<v Speaker 2>I've heard what sounds almost like someone talking in the woods,
<v Speaker 2>but you can't ever make it out. It's just like
<v Speaker 2>indistinguishable voices at a distance, which you know, sometimes when
<v Speaker 2>you're in the woods you hear that kind of stuff.
<v Speaker 2>You're not there are houses around, they're kind of sporadic,
<v Speaker 2>so you never really think that much about it, especially
<v Speaker 2>in the woods when you're trying to kind of keep
<v Speaker 2>your your cool. But but I think it's all connected
<v Speaker 2>out in that area. So but yeah, so that's about
<v Speaker 2>really all I wanted to to add with those few things,
<v Speaker 2>I think helped tie a few more things together.
<v Speaker 1>All right, I appreciate that, John, And yeah, it sounds
<v Speaker 1>like you're uncle was followed out of the area by
<v Speaker 1>a sasquatch and also your friend. I wouldn't think a
<v Speaker 1>buck would do that. And I had the same impression
<v Speaker 1>when I got followed out of a wilderness area after
<v Speaker 1>I got done bow hunting, and it was a long
<v Speaker 1>walk back, and that was my first thought, like, man,
<v Speaker 1>this is a giant buck that's paralleling me out of
<v Speaker 1>the woods. And every time I would stop, it would stop.
<v Speaker 1>And then I thought, maybe it's a black bear. Oh man,
<v Speaker 1>maybe it's a huge male mountain lion. And it just
<v Speaker 1>seemed really intelligent and I couldn't see what it was.
<v Speaker 1>But after listening to other people's experiences, that's what I
<v Speaker 1>figured out this possibly was because I've had a sasquatch
<v Speaker 1>encounter there in the past before there's been a lot
<v Speaker 1>of sightings and experiences reported from the same area, So
<v Speaker 1>that's what I think it was. And I'm sure your
<v Speaker 1>friend just didn't have a place for it in his
<v Speaker 1>mind and bigfoot just didn't exist. But that's probably what
<v Speaker 1>it was. And yeah, the fact that something was throwing
<v Speaker 1>huge rocks in the water when you were fishing. I
<v Speaker 1>hear that over and over from pa people when they're fishing,
<v Speaker 1>and I think these things get territorial. You're seeking out
<v Speaker 1>their food sources and maybe they once occupy the area,
<v Speaker 1>but they have to wait for people that are fishing
<v Speaker 1>in the area, so they get a little impatient and territorial.
<v Speaker 1>And yeah, that's spooky. Did you see the rocks flying
<v Speaker 1>in the water.
<v Speaker 2>So we never actually heard anything, and that was kind
<v Speaker 2>of one of the weird things is we thought it
<v Speaker 2>might have been a branch at first, you know, falling
<v Speaker 2>out of the trees. But number one, where where we
<v Speaker 2>weren't anywhere close to any sort of trees, and we
<v Speaker 2>never heard anything come through the woods. You know, we
<v Speaker 2>figured if it was something falling out of the trees,
<v Speaker 2>you would hear it hitting the branches. You know, there's
<v Speaker 2>giant pine trees that lie in Jordan Lake. You know,
<v Speaker 2>they're one hundred feet tall. We never heard anything. It
<v Speaker 2>was just like all of a sudden, a rock fell
<v Speaker 2>out of the sky. But you know, I hear carp
<v Speaker 2>jump all the time, you know, fish jump out of
<v Speaker 2>the water. That's common. I've been I've been a bass
<v Speaker 2>fisherman since I was four years old. I best fish
<v Speaker 2>five times a week. This time of year, you hear
<v Speaker 2>carp they have a particular slap on top of the water.
<v Speaker 2>I can tell you what it is from across the lake.
<v Speaker 2>And you know, given all these things that have happened
<v Speaker 2>in that area, it's just a little too coincidental for
<v Speaker 2>me to uh just write that off.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Absolutely. What do you think the wooden knox meant
<v Speaker 1>that you and your wife heard? You said that it
<v Speaker 1>seemed like they were directed towards you. And I got
<v Speaker 1>that impression too whenever I heard wood knocks in certain areas,
<v Speaker 1>and it just seems like they are directing those knocks
<v Speaker 1>towards you. Now, maybe they could be hunting, communicating with
<v Speaker 1>one another, but I feel like it's intentional.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah, it just with where we were coming up
<v Speaker 2>to the shore. You know, we were fishing on the
<v Speaker 2>on the end of this point, and the hills on
<v Speaker 2>the hill kind of goes out that sort of makes sense,
<v Speaker 2>it kind of stretches out, and as we got to
<v Speaker 2>this point, as soon as we got to a particular
<v Speaker 2>spot up near the shore where we were fishing. You know,
<v Speaker 2>the knocks happened right at the top of the hill,

<v Speaker 1>the forest, and it was definitely terrifying. It does make
<v Speaker 1>me feel like you're marked or tagged by these creatures,
<v Speaker 1>but you don't let it ruin the forest for you, definitely,
<v Speaker 1>and keep going out there and enjoy what God gave us,
<v Speaker 1>which is nature. And yeah, if you do have an encounter,
<v Speaker 1>just know that you were already onto them and you
<v Speaker 1>know that they exist.

<v Speaker 1>I'm an outdoorsman and I love to hunt, and I
<v Speaker 1>feel like these encounters really hit home because hunters are
<v Speaker 1>out there in the woods and they're observing their environment,
<v Speaker 1>their surroundings, and they know exactly what to look for
<v Speaker 1>and if something's off us hunters, we pick up on it,
<v Speaker 1>especially when you see something that stands out like a
<v Speaker 1>jet black bipedal figure. And I mean this would stick
<v Speaker 1>out to anyone. But when you're out there in the
<v Speaker 1>woods staring at the same trees over and over, you
<v Speaker 1>know what to look for, especially when you see deer
<v Speaker 1>after deer, you see squirrels, turkeys, birds. When you have
<v Speaker 1>this type of experience of like something paralleling you out
<v Speaker 1>in the woods, it's just not normal. You're out there
<v Speaker 1>all day and you kind of acclimate to the environment
<v Speaker 1>around you, so you know when something's off, because even
<v Speaker 1>like the smallest stick breaking or something moving in the
<v Speaker 1>leaves really gets your attention. And I feel like most
<v Speaker 1>people just hiking through the woods or camping don't really
<v Speaker 1>pick up on stuff like that. I mean some people do,
<v Speaker 1>but for the majority of people, they're not really tuned
<v Speaker 1>into that, especially when they're out there with others, people
<v Speaker 1>are talking loud, playing music. And yeah, I mean this
<v Speaker 1>experience that he had in the Hudson Gorge wilderness area
<v Speaker 1>that was frightening because it really reminded me of my
<v Speaker 1>encounters that I had here in Missouri, and it just
<v Speaker 1>really hit home with me. But yeah, John, I appreciate
<v Speaker 1>you so much, and I also appreciate the listeners and
