Call it a feel good game, call it a get right game. I don't care what you call it. It's the beginning of the Cutter Bowli era. To me, he's your quarterback. He's the guy you gotta go with. He proved himself enough. To me, I believe the Cutterberry, Cutter Bowler are start color. Cutter Bowly era started color color, butla Cutter Bowly era started on Saturday, and they just need to hand over to him and let him go. The defense maybe not as good as it's been in the recent in the first two games, but eh, we can maybe fix some of that. Drew, what are your thoughts.

Speaker 6: I'm with you. I'm also excited about the Colortle buddle, but of the era. But no, Cutter look good, especially look good getting to the tight ends. That's how you knew he grew up watching Kentucky football, Ryan lemon is that he got a chance. He got the rock in his hands, and he said, where's my tight ends? These guys need the ball. Those are his buddies, his roommates. They each got a touchdown, led the team in receiving. Overall, Cutter just looked a little more composed and comfortable. I mean, he's the red shirt freshman, and respectfully, is that Calzada. He looks like the guy with the most experienced He he just looks like the better option right now. And even though Stoops wouldn't commit to that, I don't think it's any doubt that it's CUTTERR Gonna be the rest of the way, or at least for the foreseeable future.

Still gave up way too many points to a really bad Eastern Michigan team, gave up too many first downs, gave up over three hundred passing yards to them. What I think is inexcusable for a team like that. Cutter, I thought he looked comfortable, he looked confident out there.

Speaker 4: Because I think the defense, I mean I even predicted they were going to throw a shut out. I thought the defense would keep that team out of the end zone. But they get some things they got to work on a little bit, and maybe they were trying to prevent some stuff playing to just prevent d too much. As far as Cutter goes, I mean, the offense, like you guys kind of said, just seemed to be more in rhythm, more in tune with everything, you know, none of this confusion at the line of scrimmage, nothing calling the wrong play. It seemed like not only did Cutter play very well. Bush Hampden called the right plays for Cutter in the game.

Speaker 6: Yeah, definitely no turnovers, that was good. There's if you want to talk about some bush Hampden, maybe it's Mark Stoops didn't love the end of the first half, if I can get a little nitpicky there. But Will Cutter the offense is just night and day difference from those first two games. I think, you know, afterwards Stoops was like, well, we'll reevaluate and see who we'll go with South Carolina. You know, I think a lot of people wanted him to just go ahead and commit to Cutter there. I see that as him kind of being delicate with the kaal Zada situation. I want Cutter, but I feel bad for Calzada. Seven years gone through injuries. He goes down to FCS, works his way back to the SEC after several years, finally gets a shot. Gets that didn't go too well first two games, that especially has that shoulder injury. I just think Stoops is kind of being careful, not just flipping the switch to Bowlie and saying sorry about it. Calzada.

It's not as much a Zach's feelings, it's that you don't want him to just, you know, disengage and look at this as the throwaway here because you might need him again. This is SEC play. Even though Cutter looked pretty good against Eastern Michigan, we don't know what he's gonna do on the road in the SEC. It's probably gonna be Cutter the rest of the way. But you don't want Calzada to just scoff and you know, get disappointed and check out because you might need him. And to his credit, I didn't get to watch the game broadcast. I was there, but I went back and tried to watch as much as I can. There was a lot of you all that watched it on TV. Looked like there's a lot of Kalasada helping Bowley on the sideline there, which I thought was very good because that's such a tough spot for him injury. He probably knows that the kid's about to take his spot. But at least from the TV broadcast what I saw of it, he was right there on the bench helping him with everything. When when Cutter was coming off the sideline.

Speaker 4: Yeah, there was a shot at the end of the game where Calzada came up to Cutter and they're they're standing there and they're smiling, and you can tell KAO, Kalzano's giving him like a you know, dapping him up a little bit, patting him on the back. I think complimentary. That's where Kalzata can be valuable to this team. Be a mentor a coach, and be ready because like I said, Cutter's gonna get hit. There's gonna be a time he's gonna have to leave the game. You need Calzada to come in. And so I think it speaks highly of Calzada's character that he seems to be acting that way, and I hope he does continue to act that way.

Speaker 4: Now, we do need to talk about what happened to the end of the first half, because once again, the final four minutes of the first half two minute drill. I mean, you're up twenty eight to six, and you gave up ten points in the last two minutes of the first half. So my my beef at the end of the first half this time not necessarily with the offense but with the defense, they looked kind of their worst right then, like they get just packed it in thought maybe Eastern Michigan was going to settle for a field goal and they end up scoring a touchdown.

Speaker 6: The defense gave up the big touchdown there, they're not their hands aren't clean of this. But I'm putting on Mark Stoops and management. I mean, it's it's happened too many times, many times to playing the defense this point time. When Eastern Michigan scored the touchdown, you know there's a minute change left. I even tweeted, would anyone be surprised if they got the ball back and scored again? Kind of joking you pretty, but also let's all keep our guard up for this. No scored right again three points before the half. Didn't Stoops like burn a time out before an extra point?

It's how how do you go about approaching the mistakes that you made in the previous game and correct them moving forward? And we're still seeing a lot of just game management, boneheaded moves that are frustrating. We've been again, we've been talking about these for years, it feels like, but we still see them game in and game out, and I'm just convinced at this point that those things aren't going to fix themselves, and we're just gonna have to just somehow find a way to win with in game poor management.

But there I was having my little iHeart party by myself, and then Rick showed up and I finally got to meet him. I felt like I know him because the show, but never met him in person.

He was like right there to get yogurt. They're like, let's get someone to walk with you as the street. He's like, what, it's right there. I'm a grown man, and they're like, no, no, hang on, He's like, no, this is unnecessary.

And at this point he's like, all right now, now my radar is going off, like what's going on? But then he said no and he walked back peacefully. But he said it's been fine and the area is fine. But that little incident of like do you need an escort? He's like I did. It was a little weird there for a second, but he's enjoying it so far. He's safe. Just had that kind of awkward moment on his yogurt run.

They threw a flag for leverage, where they said one of the Broncos defenders like pushed down on one of the Colts linemen and to help him elevate the ind of the air.
