<v Speaker 1>as Matt Cardona. So man, what a what a what
<v Speaker 1>a night, what a what a ride? I want to
<v Speaker 1>thank all you guys supposed to YouTube, Brian and Mark
<v Speaker 1>with a social media posts and all the fans, everybody
<v Speaker 1>who reached out. I definitely felt the love and support,
<v Speaker 1>so so thank you very much.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, it seemed like there was a lot of people
<v Speaker 3>posting very nice things but also really funny things. Did
<v Speaker 3>you see the story that dark Shekh told, Yes I did, Frian,
<v Speaker 3>did you see this?
<v Speaker 2>I think someone sent it to me.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, the about the water that said I had to
<v Speaker 3>send people somebody to get water and they said, oh, thanks,

<v Speaker 1>got fired twenty twenty April fifteen, twenty twenty, and you know,
<v Speaker 1>like I guess, the goal was always to get back,
<v Speaker 1>but it wasn't like from day one, what have I
<v Speaker 1>got to do to get back to W I couldn't

<v Speaker 1>certainly couldn't think like with negativity or bitterness. I just knew.

<v Speaker 1>for the rest of my life. Or I could reinvent myself,
<v Speaker 1>try to outwork every motherfucker out there and create my
<v Speaker 1>own path. And I chose option three. And it wasn't easy.
<v Speaker 1>You know, it might seem like it was easy, but
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't. And it was a lot of ups and
<v Speaker 1>downs and a lot of hard work, but it all
<v Speaker 1>paid off, you know.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean my post here on the screen, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I meant every word of it, you know, And I
<v Speaker 2>think it goes without saying that I'm proud of you
<v Speaker 2>and happy for you. But I think the bigger picture
<v Speaker 2>is like what I think you were able to show
<v Speaker 2>people what's possible, you know, because I think a lot
<v Speaker 2>of people sometimes get lost in that, in that bubble
<v Speaker 2>and the woe is me when you know, wrestling doesn't

<v Speaker 1>the advice I kind of, maybe delusionly optimistically told myself
<v Speaker 1>every single day, you know. And there are certainly times
<v Speaker 1>where listen, like the crowd's rabit hot, I'm making all
<v Speaker 1>this money on merchant, I'm loving life. And then there
<v Speaker 1>are days where I'm in the middle of nowhere, there's
<v Speaker 1>not a tweet about the show, and I'm thinking what
<v Speaker 1>am I doing with my life? You know, like we've all.
<v Speaker 2>Been there, right. Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>That being said, though, mat just from being around you,
<v Speaker 3>I don't think that you let this goal like consume
<v Speaker 3>your thoughts. I think, right like you had a great
<v Speaker 3>time and you and it certainly was at the top
<v Speaker 3>of your mind. But I think that like you would
<v Speaker 3>have been fine if it never happened, right like you?
<v Speaker 3>You you sort of you made your your your businesses
<v Speaker 3>and and and you pushed on that stuff. And I

<v Speaker 1>greatest time of my career, uh so far. And like

<v Speaker 1>I woke up, I would say, Okay, my goal is
<v Speaker 1>to get back there, you know, and I did all
<v Speaker 1>the things I could do to control. But also like
<v Speaker 1>if it didn't happen, I built something outside and it's
<v Speaker 1>not like, Okay, it's not like I was never there.
<v Speaker 1>If I was never there and never got to w
<v Speaker 1>w ever, it'd be devastating, right, and I think I'd
<v Speaker 1>be a little bummed up and never got back there again.

<v Speaker 2>didn't grow up wanting to be a pro wrestler.
<v Speaker 1>Group wanted to be a WWE wrestler, a WWE superstar,
<v Speaker 1>right so, and you know you saw like Cody and
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owen's making fun of me a couple of months ago,
<v Speaker 1>right like that, he's so good that I brought it
<v Speaker 1>up all the time, because I only brought it up
<v Speaker 1>when I was asked, first of all.
<v Speaker 2>But of course that was fairly true.
<v Speaker 1>Of course I wanted to work. You know where my
<v Speaker 1>wife works. Of Course I wanted to work the place
<v Speaker 1>I grew up wanting to work. Of course I want
<v Speaker 1>I wanted to wrest so manium moment again and wrestling
<v Speaker 1>mass worguard again, or walk into Target or Walmart and
<v Speaker 1>see my figure again. And now all that stuff is possible.
<v Speaker 1>I'm very grateful for it, man, and listen, there were
<v Speaker 1>certainly times I thought it's never gonna happen. Like I
<v Speaker 1>remember one time calling SDL up when we were together.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, you need to go your own way because
<v Speaker 1>I think I'm holding you back because you're never gonna
<v Speaker 1>get there with me. But I'm serious, really Like, there
<v Speaker 1>was a point, like a couple of times where I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>it's not happening, because like if not, now, when is

<v Speaker 1>booking everybody, the good, the bad, the ugly, right, Like,
<v Speaker 1>I just wanted to get out there, and I learned
<v Speaker 1>from every single booking out there, every single opponent. I
<v Speaker 1>learned something from, right, And like that's why I tell
<v Speaker 1>people work as much as possible. Yeah, Like, seriously, work
<v Speaker 1>as many shows as possible. Some people they only want
<v Speaker 1>to do the big ones. Like of course, everyone wants
<v Speaker 1>to only do the big ones.
<v Speaker 2>Hey. Another thing that Tyson Kidds said yesterday during a
<v Speaker 2>seminar that I didn't really ever think about, and it
<v Speaker 2>doesn't apply to in this moment because right now WW
<v Speaker 2>is doing that holiday tour and they're going to be
<v Speaker 2>in overseas, but ind you guys have a chance to
<v Speaker 2>have like double the reps of a WW superstar, right,
<v Speaker 2>And that's how you get better. You know, the more
<v Speaker 2>shows you do, the more you learn, the more whatever. Then,
<v Speaker 2>like you said, the good, the bad, whatever, you just
<v Speaker 2>do them all. That's how you learn in this business.
<v Speaker 2>And like to a degree, WW superstars aren't getting fast
<v Speaker 2>checked like they are because it's not possible. There's no shows,
<v Speaker 2>you know, it's just your TVs. So like in you
<v Speaker 2>guys have the run of it like you guys have
<v Speaker 2>like the that's a cool perspective, I think. Right, that's crazy.
<v Speaker 3>And there are areas too where you can have five
<v Speaker 3>shows a week.
<v Speaker 2>For sure. There's plenty of CAP guys busting their masket
<v Speaker 2>in the car going up and down these coasts, you know,
<v Speaker 2>two or three times a weekend, working everything they can.
<v Speaker 3>It's crazy. There's this young brother up here in New England,
<v Speaker 3>very new I think, two years in and he wrote
<v Speaker 3>that he had one hundred and seventy eight matches I
<v Speaker 3>leave twenty twenty five.
<v Speaker 2>That's incredible.
<v Speaker 3>I saw him on New Year's and I go, I'm like,
<v Speaker 3>come on. I was like, I'm trying to do the math.
<v Speaker 3>Here are you counting practice matches? And he's like no,
<v Speaker 3>He's like no, and he showed me his cage match
<v Speaker 3>and his cage match had one hundred and fifty something
<v Speaker 3>and he said, I know it says only say one
<v Speaker 3>hundred and fifty, but there was some like really crappy
<v Speaker 3>shows I did that it didn't count. But he actually
<v Speaker 3>did it.
<v Speaker 2>That's incredible.
<v Speaker 3>And you know this is not some big name INDI guy,
<v Speaker 3>so so it's possible if you do it. But I
<v Speaker 3>did want to mention Broski. I talked a lot about
<v Speaker 3>the I posted about the hard work and sort of
<v Speaker 3>what you did and how insane you were. You know,
<v Speaker 3>sometimes you're the hardest worker I've ever met. Sometimes I
<v Speaker 3>think to a detriment, which you know, sometimes you agree.
<v Speaker 3>But it's funny because it recently there's been a lot
<v Speaker 3>of talk in my life about this hard work by
<v Speaker 3>I was talking to my daughter about she started basketball.
<v Speaker 3>She's nervous if she's going to be good at it,
<v Speaker 3>you know, and I'm trying to tell her that, you know,
<v Speaker 3>you're not going to be good at it unless you try,
<v Speaker 3>and you certainly can be good at it if if
<v Speaker 3>you work hard at it. If you practice, you're dribbling.
<v Speaker 3>If you go out and you and you try shooting.
<v Speaker 3>And that's why I wrote that, it's kind of it's
<v Speaker 3>kind of a lesson for everybody. I mean, it's a
<v Speaker 3>lesson that parents can give their kids. As as corny
<v Speaker 3>as that is, as to say, if you work hard
<v Speaker 3>enough at something, it will happen. And this is this
<v Speaker 3>is proof some of these shows. Man, you could have
<v Speaker 3>just went, you could have just did the match, but
<v Speaker 3>instead you brought a Jurassic Park jeep that every time
<v Speaker 3>an entourage of people, Yeah, book the right thing. You
<v Speaker 3>made a moment you got to figure out of it.

<v Speaker 1>Well, I you know, I listen. I can't say that
<v Speaker 1>I treated every single match like it was WrestleMania, because
<v Speaker 1>I would be a lie. But I tried to treat
<v Speaker 1>every single match like it was a big deal, right,
<v Speaker 1>because if it wasn't, then what am I even doing right?
<v Speaker 2>Right? Why would it be big deals? With people paying it?
<v Speaker 1>Come exactly right. I tell that to people all the time.
<v Speaker 1>If it's not a big deal to me, that's not
<v Speaker 1>big deal to anybody. Like listen, at the end of
<v Speaker 1>the day. It's an independent show, even like the biggest
<v Speaker 1>GCW show is an independent show in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Right,
<v Speaker 1>But if I have to treat it like it's WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>in Atlantic City, New Jersey or else, it's nothing else.
<v Speaker 1>What am I even like getting out of bed for?

<v Speaker 1>But yeah, the support over the past five years, every
<v Speaker 1>promoter who booked me, you know, everyone who brought me
<v Speaker 1>in for a signing, every fan who showed support, you know,
<v Speaker 1>the podcast fans, like every opponent, thank you.
<v Speaker 2>I have a question, how sad have all these promoters
<v Speaker 2>been that you told them you're not coming to their
<v Speaker 2>shows anymore? And part two, how many of the boys
<v Speaker 2>have just been like cockroaches trying to scoop up your
<v Speaker 2>bookings and stuff. Because I'll admit I was like, ooh,
<v Speaker 2>I would hop on that Adrian tour in Australia, but
<v Speaker 2>the name date I want.
<v Speaker 3>I wanted to defend his ACW championship.
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, without Roski there, I can get me and
<v Speaker 2>two of my friends in there to fill that spot.
