Speaker 2: Back from the Dominican Republic and I did not adopt any young baseball players.

00:02:14
Speaker 1: That was not my journey. Where's your tan?

00:02:16
Speaker 2: Bro?

00:02:16
Speaker 1: He spent a week in the DR Come Back, Pasty White Glow. He's the lead singer of Milky Chance. I got a glow? Hell you're talking about bro? You know? You know Bruce Leroy? Dude, And I'm not just saying this. Did you see big Poppy out there? There was a bartender. I'm not even joking. It looked like one Soda with a wig.

00:02:37
Speaker 2: It was a woman that had one Soto's face, because you know, one SODA's very distinct looking. Dude, it looked like one Soo with a weekend.

00:02:45
Speaker 1: Maybe it was maybe that's his part time job. I coo, I was on a hitting camera show. Maybe like maybe who knows? But no fresh back from the DR. Beautiful country, beautiful place. Maybe you're part of the DR version of what's the show where the owner at the store? Oh, come on, you know the show where the owner he just starts working at the store under guys, under cover boss. Yeah, maybe he was a Dominican version and it was once so a Hey, how could I help you? You look? You look it awful? Lot like one Soda with the week Man. No, no, no, if you want you want some mongol? Did you check her bat for Cork? I'm not What can I get you to think I'll have him? I I believe you? Sure you know one? So? No one?

00:03:35
Speaker 2: So who? So let me tell you while while we were gone, stuff happened. And you know Dan Bayer and my story was not the Bachelorette being canceled. I know you were upset about that. It wasn't was she.

00:03:48
Speaker 1: Gonna be part of the UFC that's at the White House, you know, I don't know. It was get that girl on the ring, Iowa upsetting number one Florida first weekend of March Madness. It was Alex Trusso hitting that dude on the magic with his shoe. That was my favorite highlight over our break. That was it. Oh, it was great. I've never seen When you talk about things we've never seen before, that's the beauty of sports.

00:04:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never seen. And that made us smile after Team USA lost.

00:04:16
Speaker 1: Yes, that was the only thing that made me laugh, made me smile after that miserable disappointment of Team USA blowing we don't know ingrats to Venezuela.

00:04:23
Speaker 2: We don't need to go back and relive some lame sports that happened while we were gone. But I will say this that Bryce Harper home run add that to the list. You know how every so often Danny g will talk about really awesome moments that were lost because the team meant nothing like it meant nothing like if Team USA goes on to win that game, that's like Bryce Harper lore, that's.

00:04:49
Speaker 1: Like remember Judges home run last year in the playoffs.

00:04:51
Speaker 2: Like just imagine if if Team USA wins, that is a moment that we always remember. But you know what, We're never gonna remember that Bryce Harper hit a bomb in the bottom of the eighth to tie it up.

00:05:05
Speaker 1: Because they bleed on the top of the night. I think we might though, because I don't know this thing's WBC took the world by storm. Ratings proved it over ten million tuned in just here in the US, let alone worldwide, So we weren't here to talk about that. But congrats to Venezuela. But when when Alex Caruso took his shoe, lost his shoe and slapped was it Tristan de Silva of the magic with his shoe and made the block. You're like, man, just when you thought you saw it all, No, you go and see that and it changes your life.

00:05:35
Speaker 2: There's some There was some going back and forth between the Magic and Lakers because I also said, did you see Okay See, I'm sorry there was Magic is feuding with Oka see and the Lakers.

00:05:49
Speaker 1: Did you see that?

00:05:51
Speaker 2: Luca god old Madden he said that Goga yeah on the Magic said in Serbian, I'll f your whole family.

00:06:00
Speaker 1: That's some fighting words right there.

00:06:01
Speaker 2: And no one, no ref's gonna hear that and be like, well, I know, I mean, did I brush up on my Serbians? So when you really think about it, there could be really like next level trash talking if you're a European player that knows someone's native language.

00:06:13
Speaker 3: I actually like what that Magic player did because it's been helping the Lakers. Luca was getting into it with the reps too much, and as Colin pointed out this morning, he loves the Luca that gets into it with players and fans in the stands.

00:06:26
Speaker 1: Oh, the Luca that gets fired up.

00:06:27
Speaker 2: You know this now you remember this from your little league days all the way to watching professional sports. Some players, if you poke them, you take them off their game.

00:06:37
Speaker 1: And then there's other players, but it's like, don't poke them because it's the fire Jordan, it's you don't oh remember that story that the one guy that's like third halfway through the fourth quarter he told Michael Jordan like.

00:06:49
Speaker 2: Hey, I guess we got you tonight, Mike. Yeah, and also took that personally. There's always those stories. I feel like Lucas Luca is one of those, like you want to see him mad. There's other people, though, you don't make me angry. You ever play with a kid growing up, You wouldn't like me when I'm angry. You ever play with the kid in the little league, Danny or popwater football or basketball where you know who I'm talking about, Like every kid everyone knows they have a picture of that kid in their head that if you rattled them a little bit, he fell apart. There's grown men I play sofa with that. I'm like, yo, getting Johnny's head.

00:07:22
Speaker 1: He melts down. He called Johnny at belly atcher. He's throwing balls the whole time. No, they're are and can't find the strike zone. In rex sports, there's guys that get rattled. So when you see it on a professional level, and you're right, Danny, an angry Luca could be a good thing for the Lakers. Yeah, maybe so. Lots happened while we were gone. Yeah, it's old news to you, but I did want to point out that Alex Crucio highlight. That was one of the funniest things I've seen in a minute. Bordering on old news, but not quite yet. I guess it's still making the rounds today. I do want to maybe pull of Phonsie when he said, uh, I was, I was wrong. They're gonna do that sweet Russian dance that he doesn't do. You want me to do that instead? Yeah, the one in the Weezer video. You know what dance I'm talking about. Of course, kids do that in the middle of like a dancing circle for like baseball games, in the little league games. Ay, let me tell you something, cunning hands. I was, I was wrong. Do you remember when when that is a guy's name, Ducet, Yeah, the flag football the pro flag football quarterback. I always want to call him juicy smile a by mistake. Why, I don't know, just dual set dull set right, a totally different guy. I know.

00:08:41
Speaker 2: We left when this kid said, oh no, we're flag football players.

00:08:46
Speaker 1: We were we I was gonna say, you laughed, and people on social media were taking cheap shots. We as a show did speculate, well, there's a different skill set. You don't know. Oh we you know, we didn't know. We speculated. You definitely hate it on the guy and said, get out of my face. And that's right. We're talking flag football right now, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. Let's get involved because this story is still buzzing. Team USA consisting of professional well not professional, but flag the actual Team USA flag business players. They're a dominator, yeah, but they're the ones, right, they're the ones. They dominated their competition over the weekend one hundred and six to forty four in total points one oh six forty four in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic. And we laughed when they said when Durrell do said they wanted to play over the pros. When when remember because.

00:09:42
Speaker 2: We speculated, when it comes to the Olympics, who do you want to see out there? Do you want to see fifty year old Tom Brady? And we joked like, well, yeah, I mean that's who you would want and who better than? And we even said, well maybe maybe not we maybe you guys are all geniuses, but I remember.

00:09:56
Speaker 1: Saying, in fairness, we speculated, like there is it from skill set. Who's to say that maybe he is better, younger, he's quicker, he knows the game.

00:10:05
Speaker 2: But I do remember saying, like, you're telling me if you got like Tyreek Hill, Saquon Barkley, tom Brady even throwing pass us like the best of the best are going to kill anyone. It's fair speculation, even still, because even Tom Brady said humbly that they're just really well coached. They had all their plays, they had one running play as opposed to this well oiled machine that had tons and just purely dominated. So everybody was wrong. Anyone that doubted.

00:10:35
Speaker 1: The flag for the US flag football team was wrong because they beat everybody convincingly. And even Tom Brady had to tip his hat and throw a ball at Logan Paul, which I thought was cool. That was fun. Yeah, it was fun. I thought it was.

00:10:48
Speaker 2: It was worth watching the highlights on social media that went down. But I figure we did have to bring that up simply because that fanatics flag football classic.

00:11:00
Speaker 1: To me, it's I was.

00:11:02
Speaker 2: I was so baffled as to the differential skill set like that one wide receiver that just hold. He knew the moves he knew to dip to keep the flag away like you know, little little tiny moves that NFL players don't know. Like you said they had, they had a scheme of what one running play.

00:11:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, So again they're a well oiled, polished flag football team. They should be the guys representing maybe with the mixture of professionals or former professionals that could add something to the team. But honestly, they proved otherwise. And props to them. I think we, meaning we as a collective show and we who chimes in on social media, owe them an apology because we were wrong. Everybody was wrong, even though I did give them the fair looking back, the fair dude, when that guy benefit of the damn that guy Pete with guys like Tom Brady and they could.

00:11:55
Speaker 2: When he said he could out flag football like the Mahomes of the world, I left out where I laughed out loud.

00:12:01
Speaker 1: That's where we all criticized him because he talked a big, big game, but he backed it up. That's the thing. If you could back it up, you could talk all this is it really smack talk? If you're backing it up. It's just the truth. He backed it up so much. He backed it up Terry, Ye know, but it's it's just backing up Terry back yet he backed it up. Smack. He talking the truth. I'm just talking to truth. I'll prove it. Now.

00:12:21
Speaker 2: Here's the question, not smack. If you could back up, I'll give you a radio podcast analogy. What bothers you more than anything in the world?

00:12:30
Speaker 1: You, Oh, no, sorry to a fresh lifacation. I thought you'd be happy to see me.

00:12:35
Speaker 2: I am happy to see I know that what bothers Kevino more than anything in the broadcasting world When a guy like him puts in decades of hard work broadcasting and they're like, hey, cast off on some reality show, you want to do a podcast.

00:12:50
Speaker 1: Hey former athlete, you want to do a podcast?

00:12:52
Speaker 2: And I know it bothers the hell out of Cavino because what is his career's work.

00:12:58
Speaker 1: Well, that's the truth.

00:12:58
Speaker 2: They think someone else can do quickly, and you realize some can. Often that some can, But for the most part, there's a reason why there's a ton of podcast equipment easily available on Marketplace or Amazon or anything. Because people think they can do a podcast or a show and they can't.

00:13:13
Speaker 1: It's a different skill set. Yeah, so do it day in, day out. You know, it's it's a whole other level of competition. But that's why guys like Tom Brady, regardless of how great they are, it's a different skill set.

00:13:25
Speaker 2: With that analogy was exposed. With that analogy, though, when the Olympics do come around, would it be insulting if they're like, yeah, we're gonna inject some NFL players into the mix for this flag football?

00:13:38
Speaker 1: Meanwhile, this team USA is like, yo, we we're the best.

00:13:42
Speaker 2: But for ratings and for buzz, would it be the equivalent of giving someone with a name of podcast if they just gave it to the NFL guys?

00:13:50
Speaker 1: Or what I think? So, yeah, you know, he's in a bad look, and I think what guys like Tom Brady and professionals and former professionals should do is endorse these guys and back them up and build them up so we could feel more invested in what they're bringing. Because these guys are good. Dude, they proved how about this? You know what a what a feather in your in your cap to say you beat guys like Tom Brady and all these former pros, you know, the only one who really by the way I mean, and guys like OBJ who had some good moments. They're trying to use this to catapult themselves back into the NFL, which is kind of cool to see. So it also exposes the explosion of flag football, Like we've obviously speculated and have talked about it. We've seen our kids and nephews playing it, and we see it growing Like growing up, flag football is something we did in gym class. It's the only time I ever played flag for once a year life. Now you're seeing once a year they Joe burrow in his pants around his ankles because it's being competed on at a high, high level. I don't know how it was out here in California, Danny on the East coast. Maybe once a year they dug a little deeper in that gym closet, beyond the pennies and the and the hockey sticks. Yeah, And there was like an old box.

00:14:57
Speaker 2: In the seventies of like crusty, cracked flag and you'd play flag football for maybe like a week in high school and like middle school.

00:15:04
Speaker 1: Gym real fun. But I remember even at that elementary level, the difficulty of getting the flag because you're running full speed and you're bouncing up and down trying. Yeah, it's not easy. It's a whole different skill. So really cool to see at a high level over the weekend, and you USA again dominated the whole scene. So is there like a well, if you're good at this, you'll be good at this. Meaning I see these kids playing flag football, My kids are young. On the other field, I'll take a look and I'll see these teenagers.

00:15:40
Speaker 2: Flinging sidearm passes, making diving catches, and I'm like, does that translate? Are these kids all good high school football players or they're like, no, no, I'm a I'm a flag football kid.

00:15:50
Speaker 1: I wonder if there's a.

00:15:51
Speaker 2: Translation, because if that's the case, you don't think some of these guys on Team USA have tried or want their a little shot in the NFL because the money alone would be a reason to do it.

00:16:02
Speaker 1: Dude. It's like that time everyone laughed at me when I said I'd school Tiger Woods and some mini golf, and everyone laughed. But I have a particular skill. I know how to work the windmill, I know how to work the clowns nose. Just because he's Tiger Woods doesn't mean he could beat me. Yeah, it's a whole different skill set. You know how to ricochet it. I gotta tell you you're right in that.

00:16:24
Speaker 2: I've seen retired baseball players and current baseball players play in a charity softball game, and you would think that, oh, they're just gonna hit the ball four hundred and fifty feet. Any of those guys just pop up because they're used to seeing ninety five one hundred miles an hour thrown at them.

00:16:41
Speaker 1: They're not used to a bloopy, high arc pitch.

00:16:44
Speaker 2: It's a different game, and I think high arch Softball Unlimited is very similar to saying, oh, flag football in the NFL the same thing.

00:16:52
Speaker 1: It's not. It's a different game. It's not. But I do love all the smack talking hype that led up to it with Logan Paul and Tom Brady. And the update is he's working out some negotiations with the WWE, which is kind of fun, which is what we sort of predicted. But I think we're really seeing how far flag football has come. I think we're gonna see even more of an explosion of flag football because it prevents kids from getting hurt, and that was the big concern with CTE and everything else. You know, there's so many parents rich I'm sure you're one of them right now, who are concerned of their kids safety, like this is such a great alternative as they grow.

00:17:26
Speaker 2: I have a son. I don't know if i'd say get that we're gonna get to we're gonna get to camps kataboo. I think, uh, you know, I have a son. I'm not opposed to him playing football one day. But if the path was, hey play flag football until you're in high school, I don't think like a little I don't think I would. I can't foresee myself putting my like eight nine year old kid in like full pads and helmet helmet to helmet hits like great practice.

00:17:52
Speaker 1: To me, you're learning how to play the game, a different game, but you're still learning some a particular skill set that could be useful maybe for time football when he's willing and wanting to play. But we're really seeing how far it's come, and we hope you guys enjoyed the Fanatics Flag Football Classic over the weekend with a mix of amateurs who really were dominant and professionals and Tom Brady and everything else. So your thoughts on that, because honestly, most of you, I'm not taking accountability here. Most of you were wrong about it. I didn't know what to expect, but it was very, very cool to say, can I ask.

00:18:27
Speaker 2: You a question that it's sort of related but not. Is there someone living a better life right now than Tom Brady? Usually people go through a divorce and if you said tell the average person, hey, Bud, you're going to go through a divorce and within a year or so your ex wife's gonna be remarried and have a kid with the new guy, most guys would be like, oh, this is awful.

00:18:53
Speaker 1: I mean, it happened to me. You're looking at that guy. What happened to now? With that said, yeah, Tom Brady has been rumored to have hooked up with, allegedly Sophia Viagara. That happened to me.

00:19:07
Speaker 2: Sidney Sweeney, Alex Earl, Scooter Bronze ex who's like a smoke show and he's desided the like a three hundred something million dollar broadcasting contract. He's playing flag football with his buddies, probably making a ton of money with fanatics.

00:19:21
Speaker 1: Are you saying tom Brady is the man? Am I saying Tom Brady's the man?

00:19:28
Speaker 2: If I was saying was listening to me instead of having a side conversation, he would already be doing that.

00:19:33
Speaker 1: I hope. Sorry, it's Shay's fault. Shae was a distracts me. Look at this guy?

00:19:36
Speaker 2: Are you saying Tom Brady is the mahhan? I know, I know it's I know it's Shay Gorgeous distracting you.

00:19:45
Speaker 1: Shay Gorgeous. Alexander's in the studio disrupting Iowa Sam from pressing the buttons. But I'm sober stimulated today. But I have the bed for you. Guys, don't even worry about you. Don't do it too late. Now right now the moment gone. Shae ruined the moment. So we talk about pastries with Chase. Would you like a muffleed? I brought in, let's just focus on and established a plant. I'm sorry. You gotta take in sports, in sports radio, in sports broadcasting, and in life, we all probably come short and taking accountability. And I think that's the problem with sports media. I really do. You never get the update. You get these blowhards talking all the time about this and that, But they never come back and admit when they're wrong. I mean, I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but it rarely happens. It's almost like we're supposed to forget about everything that was set about X, Y and Z or this particular player the entire year. I think they're coming back to say that, hey, collectively, everybody was kind of wrong, including some of us, when it comes to what we were expecting from these flag football players. Yeah.

00:20:48
Speaker 2: I mean, listen, as Duscett said, those guys didn't know what they were getting themselves.

00:20:54
Speaker 1: Into, and they did not. They did not They're not as coached. Well, they're not as prepared, they're not as coached, and it showed and it was a great competition. I have a question for everyone in the Again, dominated my questions are all over the place because the ad D is blazon. I'm blaming on ad I'm back. Just take account from vacation. Oh I am I please just say I'm a bonehead. I'm a bonehead.

00:21:15
Speaker 2: Don't have to blame add I don't even know if I have it back when you're when we were kids, it was just, hey, he's a hyper he's a hyper annoying kid. My mom told me I wasn't allowed to have add yeah, diagnosed. I was just told I was an annoying chatty boy. So Tom Brady's the man. We established that no one's cooler. He's winning the breakup, but he's losing in flag football? Is there something allah flag football that maybe you downplayed? And You're like I could do that, and then I was like, oh, there, I can't do it. Like I remember you were on a vacation once and you did like archery with your girlfriend and you said you were so bad and.

00:21:54
Speaker 1: You like not only something to add insult to injury. This is a true story. I was on vacation. She's like, let's do some crafts and let's do what's it called, like, let's do something Kennedy's and they were doing archery, right, I'm like, yeah, whatever. He thought he was Harold Dixon from Walking Dead. There was a former Nickelodeon TV star, like a kid star happened to be there. Remember that it's Fred Kidd. Hey, it's Fred. So I don't have Fred Figglehorn or whatever his name was. Hey, I'm Fred Fine Figglestein whatever his name was. My girlfriend's like I think that's Fred. I'm like Fred who she's like the Nickelodeon star. I'm like, I don't know that kid. Whatever. Yeah, Fred Figglehorn, Fred Figglehorn was better than me. Yeah, exactly. All you need to know is his last name is Figglehorn. And he looks like a figgle Horn. And meanwhile, this guy's like, shoot and he's he's he's shooting these bows and arrows and he's he's a catnus from a hunger game. I could not get the hang of it, because, again, when you do something on the regular, when you have a particular skill, yeah, can't be downplayed. It looked like he had done this before. And I went in there with all this false confidence and I had no skill whatsoever. And I was putting my place immediately. That's what happened with Tom Brady and these guys over the weekend. And you said acts throwing, Yeah, you think to yourself, what's so hard about this? I could do? Dude, I sucked. I was the worst. I threw it. It came back and almost hit me one time. If you don't have, like if you don't practice or know the technique, like, it's not as easy as you think, and I think Tom Brady and these guys really had a misunderstanding of that, like we're pros, we could do that and they can't. There there are times where you try to take on something and you're like you because you have this faith in yourself, like I'm a pretty athletic guy, or I could do it. I get the hang.

00:23:45
Speaker 2: I thought of a couple like if someone were to challenge you, like money on the line or something like yo, how many uh yo, We'll give you ten free throws. You in your mind you're like, oh, I could probably like six or seven out of them, maybe at you know, at worst you could get cold in two out of ten.

00:24:05
Speaker 1: Good Again, if you're not doing it all the time, if you think you could just fill in and play like I said, like high arc softball, you might embarrass yourself. Yeah.

00:24:15
Speaker 2: I remember one time our listeners made a joke like I made it so matter of fact, like, oh, who can't run a mile under ten minutes? And I was like, I think I can run my own like eight minutes.

00:24:29
Speaker 1: Feasy.

00:24:30
Speaker 2: I remember, remember I like I just live streamed on the treadmill. I had to push myself to that because I would not allow myself to be humiliated with my own statement. But it was not as I'm like at this time, maybe this isn't as awesome as easy as I thought.

00:24:43
Speaker 1: But yeah, just Tom Brady and all those people got a little check of reality. So aside from all the March madness, we figured we'd uh speculate on that a little bit. And we also want to take the heat off Cam Scataboo. Why because it's fun. Does he deserve the backlashing criticism that he's getting. Probably, Yeah, he had some things to say about CTE and asthma of all things, and he's taken a lot of heat based on what he said, even though he apologized and he sort of took it back. I mean, if you apologize, take some of the heat off of him with some other stuff that we don't believe in quote unquote, Okay, well we'll do that next right here. Covino on Rich on Fox Sports Radio. Speaker 1: So we're bringing the madness, bab.

00:28:44
Speaker 2: I was gonna say there's no Cinderella team, and that seems to be everyone's gripe, like there's no Cinderella. Cinderfeller bro and I have a Cinderella is dead. I mean Cinderell even in the rotation with your kids.

00:28:56
Speaker 1: The car absolutely not like Cinderella.

00:28:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, the classic Disney's in the rally, Come on classic.

00:29:01
Speaker 1: I love a little mice singing right rally.

00:29:04
Speaker 6: You got a lot of carriage that goes from Pumpkin carriage back to Pumpkin, like the two Fat the two Fat sisters get to go to the balls.

00:29:12
Speaker 1: If think Princes wants those fatties.

00:29:14
Speaker 6: It's too old timey for But I don't think they should watch it once at least.

00:29:18
Speaker 2: But you know what, Uh, you know, there's a discrepancy in that movie that people are like, if it's the perfect slipper that fits, why did it fall off? Have you ever been rocking a pair of sneakers or aaska Alex Crusoe, You know what, Maybe she was blocking a shot. Maybe that's true, but uh, yeah, no, no Cinderella. So I guess you just solved the mystery of Cinderella.

00:29:43
Speaker 5: Huh.

00:29:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't play in basketball? Can I say one thing?

00:29:45
Speaker 5: Though?

00:29:45
Speaker 6: I mean, so I know they're big ten teams, but Iowa and Nebraska. Nebraska's never been to it. They had never won a tournament game period. Until this year, they had never been to a Sweet sixteen. I was making their first and twenty sin.

00:29:56
Speaker 1: Iowas number nineteen. Yeah, big ten Cinderellas.

00:29:59
Speaker 2: Maybe I of you, come on, I thought of you, and how much joy you must have had, joy the sweetest.

00:30:04
Speaker 1: I mean, he's wearing an Iowa T shirt today is just to celebrate, but with all due respect, that's one of his four shirts, but he's wearing it for reasons.

00:30:11
Speaker 6: Well, the women play today. Unfortunately lost, but this is kind of my all encomassing basketball shirt.

00:30:15
Speaker 1: So yeah, so that's Iowa. Sam, The whole team is back. Dan Byer's got your update in a minute. I just want to set this up and let you know what we're talking about. Cam Scataboo is in the news. So aside from all the march madness and Iowa upsetting Florida, and we talked about I guess the US flag football team upsetting the professionals in a way, dominating the professionals again a combined score of one o six to forty four. Did you see the combined scores? By the way, it was USA thirty nine, Wildcats fourteen, USA forty three, the FFC sixteen, the Founders and Wildcats. Oh wait, the championship game was USA twenty four, Wildcats fourteen. That was the closest one, was the last one. But camp Scataboo is also in the news. He was on a podcast to Frank the Lana podcast called Bring the Juice, Bring the Juice, and I'm just gonna give you the I guess what he brought cliffs notes Now he Camp's cataboy probably brought from the Jersey Shore ron Ron juice. I feel like that's a drink he would have. He brought some ron Ron juice to the Bring the Juice podcast. It's more of a juicy juice guy, more of a maybe like he brought some SIPs, a juice box, a Caprice son. Perhaps. When I was a kid, some eco cooler. I was so jealous the kids with Caprice sons.

00:31:33
Speaker 2: My mom would always buy the cheap little SIPs like you said, or you know the little boxes the kid with Caprice Sons in the eighties, Rich.

00:31:41
Speaker 1: Kid, Yo, that was that.

00:31:42
Speaker 2: Don't you feel like that was the level of opulence for Capriso in the very beginning.

00:31:47
Speaker 1: I was spoiled, bro. I'll be at first to admit it. Used to drink them and stomp them and kids like your faces. So man, he said something really controversial and it had nothing to do with capri Son or anything like that. It was on He Bring the Juice podcast. He says in a nutshell that he doesn't believe in CTE and he doesn't believe in asthma, and we're gonna take the heat off of him with other things that we don't believe in, and we're also gonna get you involved. They could be as silly as you want it to be. You know, it's just something like I'm not buying it. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. Put on your thinking caps start thinking about it, chime in and be part of the show. Covino and Rich because we have a few things that we're like, yeah, I don't know if I believe that or not. And we're also going to take the heat off of a scataboo and give you the update on that. Okay, so I got updates. I'm not gonna make the guy. Wait, bro, you know that's a good idea. Why why make? Why make Dan? By way d d D must be celebrating the signing of his wide receiver.

00:32:46
Speaker 7: I'll tell you that says a lot of things, and I'll get to the details here in a second. But considering that DK Metcalf is making thirty three million dollars a year and JSN is making forty two, it's not a lot, but it is a lot. But it isn't a lot, But it also tells you on how much they love JSN and how much they just weren't in the DK Metcalf business. So true, it's but it is a big contract. These Seahawks and wide receiver Jackson Smith and Jigba coming to terms today. It's a four year extension. This will be added on to the fifth year option that the Seahawks just picked up on his rookie contract. But the four year option, or excuse me, the four year extension is worth one hundred and sixty eight point six million dollars. Reports say one hundred and twenty million dollars guaranteed for jsm his average annual salary forty two point one to five million toms Jamar Chase by almost two million. The Bengals receiver makes forty point twenty five million dollars, but JSN and the Seahawks striking a deal today to make him the highest paid wide receiver in the NFL. The Seahawks made another move. They matched a two year offer sheet to wide receiver Jake Bobo that he signed with Jacksonville. So Bobo is back with the Seahawks on a two year deal worth five and a half million dollars. Travis Kelce signed his deal with the chief smitted official today. He gets a three year deal. Guys were fifty four point seven million dollars. The Patriots are releasing veteran quarterback Josh Dobbs. Tommy DeVito will not be the backup to Drake May in New England.

00:34:11
Speaker 1: These guys would like that.

00:34:12
Speaker 7: College basketball news bunch of coaching news. Creighton men's basketball coach Greg McDermott is going to retire after this season, spend sixteen years as the head coach at the school. Assistant Alan Huss will take over after the team completes play in the Crown Tournament. Randy Bennett is leaving Saint Mary's after twenty five seasons to be the new head coach at Arizona State. Utah State was eliminated yesterday in the NCAA Tournament by Arizona. Today they lost their head coach Cincinnati, hiring Jared Calhoun to be their new men's basketball coach. Former Cincinnati head coach Wes Miller is the new head coach at Charlotte And in women's basketball NCAA Tournament, Iowa fell today to a number ten seed Virginia and Regional four eighty three seventy five in double overtime, so the second seed at Hawkkeys are bounced. Name leads Ohio State right now sixty six to fifty six in a three six matchup in Columbus, seven minutes to go in that contest. Earlier today, Louisville edge Alabama sixty nine to sixty eight in Regional three play West Virginia and Kentucky in a four to five matchup in Regional three, tied up at thirty two a piece nearing the end of the first half. Finally, a baseball note, brave spitcher Spencer Strider is going to start the season on the injured list because of a strained obleak.

00:35:26
Speaker 1: Guys, back to you, Thank you dB. Speaking of baseball, what an exciting week, guys, baseball is back this week. I woke up today and it felt like Newdy magazine day. But I'm like, ooh, it's baseball week. Touch baseball can't wait. So an exciting week, and it's exciting to be back. We are Cavino and Rich and we're gonna discuss things that we don't necessarily believe in, and we're gonna take the heat off of camp Scataboo and the bonehead things he said, give.

00:35:52
Speaker 2: Camp scataby break. I feel like he's the type of guy that would participate.

00:35:56
Speaker 1: You've seen that thing.

00:35:57
Speaker 2: It's dumber than slap fighting. It's those guys. It's run it with a just run full force into each other.

00:36:02
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I got something scatting. I want to do it. He trill when he played football. It is. He said some silly things, but he took accountability. He apologized, We'll explain, but start thinking of things that you don't necessarily believe in. Just to take the heat off of him. A little bit, because we don't think he really meant anything bad by it, but it was a little touchy. We'll explain the whole thing next, and we're gonna play last one standing, giving away prizes on this Monday edition of Cavino and Rich right here on Fox Sports Radio. Yeah, buddy.

Speaker 1: What's with his love Jam Sam? We're taking Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio. I feel like Sam China Romance. I'm not gonna lie, probably inappropriate.

00:38:14
Speaker 6: But this is this is Santana, and uh I'm gonna say, like as some old blues man, I've been looking.

00:38:19
Speaker 1: At Rafael Santana.

00:38:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, Rafael Santana, former met shortsop right, Oh, Carlos Santana.

00:38:25
Speaker 6: Not the baseball player, Oh Carlo John Lee Hooker in Santana.

00:38:28
Speaker 2: Yeah, Sam, you played that commercial for one of our fine sponsors, Santana Moss.

00:38:36
Speaker 1: What was it? The Gaming League? Global Gamingly, Global Gaming League.

00:38:39
Speaker 2: Good fine people advertising here, but with this love jam in the background and that guy's voice when he said.

00:38:44
Speaker 1: Are you looking for a good time? Can you just play it again? Over this music? All right? Hold on, let me get sad? Sorry, Yeah, I just felt weird. Took Rich back to his late night infomercial days. I was like, wait a minute, I Sam's playing a love jam and just listen to the listen to the voice of Is this gonna count as two plays for them? It will? They will give them an extra plug because I found it so bizarre. Go ahead, Sam, Professional Wrestling. I'm the wrong one.

Speaker 1: Good time, mood for good time. Hey, we're Confino and Rich. Thanks for hanging out for a good time. We're lying from the Fox Sports Radio studio. Time for our Tirac play of the day. We have a very happy Iowa fan on our staff for a spot with Sweet sixteen. Cotch calls the break start, springs to the ball, gets fed up the right sideline into the front court couch still caros Hey Pup shuts up part time. That's up right for the lead car Cort jump on streat point nine, Sammy, you pumped or what hating all the wrong buttons today? Feeling good? I got you.

00:40:07
Speaker 2: I would right in the middle of the pack and the big ten and have showed a lot of heart making it to the Sweet sixteen. That's courtesy of less Wood one Radio and that's our tyrect play the day.

00:40:16
Speaker 1: For over forty years, Tyrek has been helping customers find the right tires for how, what and where they drive, shipped fast and free back by free road hazard protection, with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation tyrack dot Com the way tire buying should be. Speaking of Iowa, did you see the very viral clip. Are you proud of this moment? Sam? Where Iowa's Mikey Caliendo Hopefully no relation to Frank, Frank's a good guy. Mikey Caliendo didn't shake hands with Penn States Mitchelorum, Right, did you see us? Saw that? That was it was one sixty five pound title tie or something like that, and he refused to shake hands. It seems to be like the trend like, nah, I'm just gonna did you see?

00:40:54
Speaker 2: I think based on hanging hands till even is the leaving you hang in trend of twenty twenty six. Believing you hanging Trent resulted in cal Rawley in a Rose arena having to put out a statement like, yo, season's about to start.

00:41:07
Speaker 1: We're good, It's over. I know, I know. It's like, geez, this dude from Iowa left that dude hanging Hey, Sammy, I'll give you credit.

00:41:13
Speaker 2: You seem to care equally about the men's and women's sut of the bracket.

00:41:16
Speaker 1: Huh.

00:41:17
Speaker 6: Well, the women had Caitlyn Clark even before that, they were getting to sweet sex teams in the leade eight. So it's like, if your team men's or women's are doing well like you, you tune in, you watch I saw good.

00:41:27
Speaker 1: I saw a mildly chauvinistic hypothetical on social media It was like, would you want your Alma Maters women's women's team to win the NCAA tournament or find five dollars in a in a pair of pants? You just pull it out of the dryer. Oh my god, I take the championship. Of course. Who needs five dollars? That bad? Why is that in your al Yeah? Yeah, rich, I mean I feel like you're questioning with Sam felt a little condescending. So you're really buy anto these women? Would you?

00:41:56
Speaker 2: Would you rather your college's women's team win the tournament or find one hundred bucks and a pair of jeans?

00:42:01
Speaker 1: Just keep you, just keep up? Yeah, your pants? All right, this is gonna come a monetary value. You have a five bucks Okay?

00:42:10
Speaker 6: If I found twenty grand in my pants, I take that, okay, because that would be like changing money for right.

00:42:14
Speaker 1: Right. Yeah, everybody's got a prices ted DEBIASI said, tell me the Syracuse Orange with the women won. I rather a twenty dollar bill. What are you sure? Camps kataboo. Yeah, he's got a camp scataboo size shovel over the I feel like you're saying some cam scataboo type of stuff.

00:42:32
Speaker 2: You might want to apologize well, listen, this goes along perfectly with our Camp Scataboo thought, which is, what are the things you just don't believe?

00:42:43
Speaker 1: You don't you don't believe it. I believe that you believe that Samuely doesn't care about women winning.

00:42:48
Speaker 2: Well, you know what, we'll explain more next. Covin on Rich right here back on the FS are all right,
