Speaker 1: Hey, congratulations, did Jeff Ken Hall of Famer? Did you see that one coming? Not that he wasn't going to get in, but that.

00:00:17
Speaker 2: It was just having having a long time?

00:00:19
Speaker 1: I agree, I've been a very big job. What am I missing at second base? With that kind of it?

00:00:25
Speaker 2: Was the all time leader in Homers.

00:00:26
Speaker 3: Just got an m v P. You gotta World Series. It's not forget you forget you got a World Series?

00:00:30
Speaker 1: Blue Jake, he was on.

00:00:32
Speaker 2: He was on the one of those teams.

00:00:33
Speaker 1: Wasn't he really?

00:00:35
Speaker 4: I thought he was.

00:00:36
Speaker 1: You might be right, but I don't know what what.

00:00:39
Speaker 2: It was missing?

00:00:41
Speaker 3: I don't know what what what else he needed to do other than get elected and he was quick?

00:00:47
Speaker 2: Did he not win a World Series?

00:00:49
Speaker 1: Crowds h Yes, Wait he got a ring? He was on the he was on Toronto, was on.

00:00:56
Speaker 2: Three.

00:00:57
Speaker 1: Wait, oh did he go? He went to the Mets? So did they deal him away? But he got a ring for it?

00:01:02
Speaker 2: If you're on the team, he got a ring.

00:01:03
Speaker 1: No, I know that, but I'm saying he wasn't on the team at the end of the year. It doesn't matter. But yes, anyway, point is Kratz. I think we all agree. Jeff Kent deserve to be on there. He wasn't getting as much attention during this exact run. I felt like there was a lot of Don Mattingley and del Murphy talk, and a lot of course Bondan Clemens talk. You know who actually got the second most love was Carlos Delgatto. That's another guy I agree, and and Kratz. We didn't get into it's a ton last week. But when you do match up Don Mattingley's numbers in Carlos del Vala, you're like, Okay, Delgado needs to be in over him. Yeah, over Donnie. If we're looking at first base and you're.

00:01:39
Speaker 3: Going but here's the thing, if you're if we're going mass numbers, right, But for that, for those six or seven years, Don Mannigan was like unbelievable.

00:01:46
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, accumulating numbers.

00:01:50
Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't understand. I don't know.

00:01:51
Speaker 4: Obviously, there's a lot of people right now that are fans of baseball and never saw Jeff Kent play. I saw him play. I know a j played against him. I never played against him. Let's put this way. For him not to have gotten in by now, he must have really had to have pissed in somebody's corn flakes that I don't know about, because I mean, when you're talking numbers like three hundred and seventy seven homers from the second second base position, the fact that he was a ops plus of one twenty three, twenty three percent, better than everybody during his era, better than everybody during the steroid era. This dude banged and for him not to have been in was a travesty. But it's taken care of more second basemen, more catchers in the hall.

00:02:39
Speaker 3: Please agreed. But here here's my other thing. You know, listen, everyone was talking maddingly and Dale Murphy, who I also both believe both of those guys should be in. I just I don't know how certain guys got under five votes. Barry Bonds under five votes. Right votes.

00:02:57
Speaker 2: The people on this committee can vote for three people. It's okay, So you're telling.

00:03:04
Speaker 5: By who, though by people in that room, okay, but players are by.

00:03:08
Speaker 1: Well, probably there's more players in the room than anyone else, although there's also front office executives. So you go down the line, and there was a stance by a group of people that said, I'm going to vote for others instead I'm not going to touch that category.

00:03:20
Speaker 2: That's okay, what what category is that?

00:03:23
Speaker 1: That is the pe ed era category very clearlyspected, yes, suspected, Well, no p d ERA. I'm just saying p D ERA players.

00:03:36
Speaker 3: And there's here's here's the problem I have with this. In listen, I'm probably get killed for saying this, but I don't.

00:03:41
Speaker 2: Really care at this point.

00:03:43
Speaker 3: The players on this committee players, okay, And I looked them up and it was Juan Marichelle, Robinel and Alan Trammell, Fergie Jenkins, uh jeez, who will Tony Ferez, Jim Cott. Most of these guys I know, and in respect the hell out all these guys. But my problem is as a former player, and I played in the heart of this, Okay, I was, I was in the beginning of my career. Was this and then it got cleaned up, right. I've said on the record, if you got tested positive after two thousand and five, then you're out for me, right.

00:04:13
Speaker 2: If you did it before, I don't know.

00:04:14
Speaker 3: But for these former players that were sitting in this room, and my question is, if you're looking at Barry Bonds, you're looking at Roger Clemens and you're looking at Gary Sheffield and you're looking at some of these guys that are alleged to take steroids. Right then, I'm gonna ask all these players this question. Did any of you guys take a greenie.

00:04:33
Speaker 1: That's a different category though, why They're gonna tell you why why.

00:04:36
Speaker 2: It's the same exact thing.

00:04:37
Speaker 3: They took a ped that is now, So if you took one in your career, then you're the same.

00:04:44
Speaker 2: As these guys.

00:04:45
Speaker 1: Did you say cocaine?

00:04:47
Speaker 4: Yes, I mean, because the argument is going to be the argument is going to be, oh well, steroids was illegal when it wasn't tested for we was the steroids were illegal, So we're just bringing everything guys.

00:05:00
Speaker 3: I'm just saying, okay, I'm just saying, if you if you can look at it, trust me, you can ask players. And I was again, I was in the middle of this. More people when I played, and I was in the middle of before and after, more players complained about greenies being taken away than they did steroids. Because greenees on a day to day basis affected you more and more guys could That's how you got excited for the game. More guys took those than they did, and that's why adderall became such a big thing.

00:05:27
Speaker 2: For years.

00:05:28
Speaker 3: Guys were like, oh, man, I gotta get on adderall. I know, it was an outrageous amount of baseball players that were on adderall legally, right, But if.

00:05:35
Speaker 2: You were again, this is my whole argument.

00:05:37
Speaker 3: If you took anything illegal, that is illegal and not allowed now by Major League Baseball, and that's everyone says, oh, they weren't against the rules in baseball, but they were legal. A greenee you can't just get right, and there was all there was green ones, pink ones, black ones. There's all these different bills you could take. So if you're a former player and you ever took any of these, pete.

00:05:56
Speaker 1: Rose, you got to draw some type of line.

00:06:00
Speaker 2: It's the same.

00:06:01
Speaker 1: It don't pay for you to categorize. So you're saying steroids and greenees both not allowed, right, illegal to just be popping those, that's the same category.

00:06:11
Speaker 2: Yes, okay, okay, and there now now they're banned.

00:06:15
Speaker 3: If if it's not a performance enhancing drug, why do guys get in trouble for taking one?

00:06:21
Speaker 2: You're still get a penalty.

00:06:22
Speaker 1: Now, yeah, Now, if if you get caught using greenies, you get I'm.

00:06:26
Speaker 3: Sorry, But to me, that's the problem I held with this whole thing, like, why of these former players and they're all Hall of famers and they're better players than I.

00:06:32
Speaker 2: Was, so please don't use that against me.

00:06:35
Speaker 3: But to me, if I'm as a former player, right, I look at it and I say, okay, I know what I did, okay, and I can't look down upon guys. I took a green. I did one.

00:06:45
Speaker 2: I took one green.

00:06:46
Speaker 1: That's it.

00:06:46
Speaker 3: One because I shocked, yes, and I'm not gonna get int the store. It's a funny story. But I took one, and I thought I was gonna.

00:06:52
Speaker 2: Have a hard text. I never took another one. Yeah, too much, okay, But.

00:06:57
Speaker 3: For me to look at a guy who took who I don't even know what they took and say, oh man, he's bad. I'm in the Hall of Fame, but he's bad, and I'm not letting him into my club. Well, unless you didn't take anything in your career, And it's hard for me to look at anybody.

00:07:10
Speaker 1: And say that Royds looked at differently. And I'm just telling you the case. And we should bring on someone that was in that room. So you guys can go back and forth. That's part of what this show is all about. But I'm just telling you as the messenger here that Rouds are looked at differently. There's a line that's drawn. Those are like the poster boys for that era, and that's why this is occurring. It's all good points, but at some point, yeah, we should get into it with someone. We are back on Foul Territory and finally taking a breath for a moment. Here we're in Orlando. All kinds of people are passing by us, and we'll try and get insight from them if it's somebody important. But for Charge the Mound today, I think it is worth spending a little bit of time on Kyle Schwarber and all that surrounds him. Does he return to the Phillies. Is there a surprise team that gets involved for him? He is such a popular person. Anybody that you talk to brings that part up. But let's also not forget Krats as you see it in Philly very often, how powerful he is and how he kind of looked better than ever this past season. I think that's what's getting people excited too, is do we have someone that's going to age like Big Poppy? I mean, in terms of production stats wise, Big Poppy never really tailed off.

00:08:24
Speaker 2: I think you do. I think he's that guy.

00:08:27
Speaker 1: So if that's the case, what happens here? And is that why he's being talked about so much despite being a DH Where often you can get to this point in your career krats and they're throwing one or two year deals at you. Schwarber's gonna get five and feel free to mix in that. We're bringing this up because the Pirates reportedly offered him four years and maybe something above one hundred million bucks. Ken Rosenthal putting that in his notes column yesterday. I'm gonna go with JB here because I commented right after it was posted yesterday Kratz, I'm like, oh, hey, Pirates, welcome to the dance. For the first time, you're gonna throw an offer out there that you know is not going to get it done. Like usually it's like, if you're Pittsburgh and you know you got to state a strong case, you better really put it together and do something strong. Force him to say nowhere, at least put something out there that you know is going to be at the top of the competitive offers. This is not going to be that they like Jim Boden said, you need to offer six at least five. The fact that they put a four out there, to me means they don't know what they're doing in the hot stone world.

00:09:33
Speaker 4: All right, well, you you made two comments there, one Schwarber as a player in person on the market to the pirates. So I'll first address the pirates part of it. The pirates are like that dude who went to a charity option, knew he had no chance of getting anything that was out there, and was like talking to somebody like this as they were bidding, and he just like scratched his head and they were like, right there in the red hat, we got we got four years, one hundred million. And the pirate like, oh boy, somebody else is gonna offer right like, we don't. We don't have that money. We we I'm I'm not in going once go it. Oh boy, this is bad. So no, the pirates aren't gonna get Swarber. That was cool if they really wanted them, and they really didn't want to make this whole this like a whole like case of like, oh see, small market teams. To me, it feels like a Major League Baseball ploy, like oh, small market teams like the Pirates. They tried on Kyle Schwarber. We tried so hard, but it's just not fair. We weren't able to go quite far enough. So that to me is just whatever you're out Kyle Swarber as a player. The fact that at this age guys like him only get maybe a two year deal shows what we were talking about with JB. What he means in the clubhouse. But to me, I think it more means what kind of changes he made last year, the fact that he lowered his strikeout rate, the fact that he hit the most left on left home runs. Because he's a DH. I doubt any team that's in contention is gonna say, Kyle, we need you to play left field for two years, then you'll be a DH for the last three to four years of his contract. He made those He made those adjustments because teams can't afford to lock up DH for five years at thirty million a year. And for him, he did this, and he continues to do this. He continues to pursue what makes him a better hitter and what makes him be the best, most valuable hitter on the field. And he's that much. He's valued that much in the clubhouse too.

00:11:39
Speaker 3: Hey, I got a question for your crotzy. We're talking about the pirates, right what what what changed for the pirates?

00:11:45
Speaker 2: What changed for the pirates?

00:11:47
Speaker 3: And now they have to spend this money because for years all we heard was we can't spend money. Did they find a pot of gold at the end.

00:11:52
Speaker 2: Of a rainbow?

00:11:53
Speaker 1: No, there's a really good or.

00:11:55
Speaker 3: Did MLB go to him like they did with another team and say you have to spend it. We're and there's big grievance filed against you.

00:12:02
Speaker 1: That's the answer. You're asking crats to ask me. I'm the nerd.

00:12:05
Speaker 2: Okay, I'm asking both of you all.

00:12:07
Speaker 1: That's why there thousand billion percent the answer. They have to do it. The lockout is looming a year away. So this is one of those forced pushes, just like it was last year with the A's that they have to do this. It's also in their best interest because if they don't do this, there is an internal battle and how Steinberner is the prime example. He speaks about this publicly. He'd like to see the dollars that he gives those teams actually go towards player payroll in the competition. Versus it being shoved in a pocket. So anyway, add that all up, we can go all day on that way.

00:12:37
Speaker 3: Has any Mark just put a great point in the chat? No team ever has been more eager to tell everyone they're making.

00:12:44
Speaker 2: Offers, but they're not real, they're not.

00:12:47
Speaker 3: What Jim Boden said was the best thing ever, because we say it all the time. If you're the Pirates and you haven't won and forever, you have to go over and above to get these players. They're not just gonna wake up more and be like Kyle Swarber is not gonna wake up one morning and go you know, I got an offer from the Phillies, I got an offer from the Pirates, and I got an offer from what the Yankees. So I'm just throwing a random third team out there, and he's gonna say I'm going to the Pirates.

00:13:10
Speaker 1: Yep, that's it. I want to be different. I want to do something different to finish my career. Wait, Kratz, I loved your analogy. I'm going to play to it even a little bit more. I think they're at the auction and it's a high priced item that's super popular. You know it's going to go for a lot. So what do you do within the first second, You raise your hand and you just do one of the first offers, because then you can say, hey, I bid on it too. I eventually lost, but I did bid on it too, right because kind of the first one that has been publicly shifted out there for Schwarber, we haven't heard any team, you know, they just remember Nailor.

00:13:45
Speaker 2: We tried on Naylor. We tried were the fifteen million short Ken sed.

00:13:49
Speaker 1: They didn't actually formally even make the offer.

00:13:52
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, so you're, hey, that's cute.

00:13:55
Speaker 1: And the one good thing Crats I don't want to completely trash them because it's easy to do it all the time. The one good thing is I do actually think that they're going to break their curse and they're going to sign someone that is going to be more than a von Nova. Right, this is the last time that they've given out a multi year contract. I think they will do a two plus year deal to someone, and I actually do think they'll also beat what I believe is their highest free agent price ever, which was three years thirty nine for Francisco Leriano. I think they will be both of those things because tis this season they have to do it with the lockout looming.

00:14:27
Speaker 4: Yes, I agree with you. I think they're going to make a splash. And I think part of the reason, you know you said maybe what is what has changed? You know what you have, Paul schemes. You have a golden ticket. You do have a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that is going to be gone in two years. That is going to be gone and possibly a year and a half if you don't make some kind of splash, not a five year or a four year splash, maybe more in the two to three year range. But you want for me, I say history, who has ever needed to do this? Who has ever needed to make a splash that You're like, Man, I can't believe it. I will always bring up the Jason Worth. Jason Worth called his ex teammates with Philly and said, how can I not? He's like, I want to come back, I want to sign back. You got to remember they were in the middle of that run where they were winning the Division, they had won the World Series, they had gone to the World Series, they lost to the Giants, and Jason Worth got offered one hundred and twenty some million dollars for seven years. His next closest offer, from what I heard, was seventy seven million. So if the Pirates want to get in on somebody, not saying as Schwarmer, but somebody that's going to change their franchise as far as like ooh, now I want to go there because they got Paul Skeens and this player, it has to be in that realm. You're talking about over fifty million dollars that the Nats had to offer Jason Worth three extra years to make them come to relevance, and that was twenty ten eleven, and they didn't win till twenty nineteen. So you've got to make this. You got to make some kind of splash that's gonna be more than what is gonna be on the market.

00:16:12
Speaker 2: Agreed.

00:16:13
Speaker 3: What did Jim Buden say about the Tigers. They went out and got Pad Rodriguez and they overpaid him, and everyone's like, why did you pay? And then they went out and got Maglio the next year, And in two thousand and six they were in the World Series because they had Verlander and they Kenny Rodgers, and they went and got all these guys that Carlos Gian remember, they brought him over.

00:16:30
Speaker 2: And it was like, Wow, the Tigers are really trying.

00:16:32
Speaker 3: And then when they made another run, they went out and got Prince Fielder and they went out and got that whole crew of guys.

00:16:38
Speaker 1: Right, you can change the narrative pretty quick, pretty quickly, especially in a central division.

00:16:44
Speaker 4: And with schemes, and with schemes like looking.

00:16:47
Speaker 3: And Jarret Jones and Bubba Chandler and Mitch Keller already there.

00:16:51
Speaker 1: You have a top two pitcher in the sport.

00:16:54
Speaker 4: I'll say I'll say that the Pirates may even be more set up than what the Tigers. We're set up last not this season, last season to go on a run because of the fact that they have Jared Jones, they have those pitchers, and they have schemes. Who is their schoobul who has shown he's actually been more dominant than what Scooble has. So you've seen what teams can do. Add to it a little bit like like do something, don't waste it again?

00:17:24
Speaker 1: Okay, AJ mentioned the Tigers, Let's go there next. By far, the biggest trade would be if Trek Scouble gets moved, whether it's this week or not. I mean, I also want to be real with everyone. The Winter meetings are awesome. There's no obligation for anything to happen during these three days. Sometimes it's chaos, sometimes nothing happens. Just letting you know. It's not like there's some deadline or something. But we're all here, the industries here. It is cool. But just throwing that out there in case you're like, well, they said that this might happen and didn't happen. Oh, it could happen a month from now. Trek Scoogle was written about by Ken Rosenthal this morning and the Tigers in general, and how if they're going to keep him, you gotta take your best shot to win in twenty twenty six. You have the best pitcher in the American League. Well, if you have school, you'll get more if they okay and get reinforcements. And then the other side of the coin is if you don't trade him, if they don't if they do trade him.

00:18:26
Speaker 2: If they do trade him, then.

00:18:27
Speaker 1: Who's going for him?

00:18:29
Speaker 2: Dodgers Yankees?

00:18:32
Speaker 1: Oh man, if the Dodgers get Dodgers get Trekschoob, they're going to be so bussed.

00:18:36
Speaker 2: Remember how the Dodgers r in baseball last year?

00:18:39
Speaker 1: Well, guess what, here's the thing. If the Dodgers get Trek Scougle, they did not outbid every other team money wise, they outbid them prospect wise, right, that that's what it would be in. Maybe some major league talent involved in there as well. But if that's the case, other teams didn't make it good enough.

00:18:56
Speaker 3: If they get him and they're running Yamamoto school snell Glass, now, holy crap, I don't want to hit. I don't want to play in that series. Yeah, I'm I'm gonna have the back crass my back, oh man, my back all of a sudden.

00:19:08
Speaker 1: If I'm a team crafts like the let's just say the Blue Jays because they lost to them just now in the World Series. I'm like, hey, the trade. If you're really trading him, and the Dodgers have the best to offer, call me at the end and I'll do something so dumb. I'll unload like my farm system and and a major league pitcher just right, just to prevent it. Because that's the thing. I mean, they pick at the back of the draft. They don't get as much money to spend in the draft. Like the draft is the most capped system there is, and the Dodgers still are pumping out prospects. So if that happens, the rest of the league fucked up.

00:19:44
Speaker 4: I mean, in my opinion, like you stopped at you stopped at the Yankees and Dodgers when you were talking about teams, because I mean, you can throw the Blue Jays in there, the Phillies have to be in there. There's there's even small market teams. You're talking about a trade. You're talking about the that you have a guy who took a team who when you take him off of that team doesn't make the playoffs, when you take him off of that team doesn't win a playoff series. And you've seen what the Tigers have done. So to me, it's not just those big market teams. To me, if the Brewers don't trade, if the Brewers don't trade Freddy Peralta, the Brewers should trade for scoobl It's one year, it's a prospect, it's prospects that you're getting rid of. And if they do it now in the offseason, whatever team would trade for him, you're getting a draft pick in the end, because he's gonna sign for three hundred plus million dollars.

00:20:37
Speaker 2: Prospects are all suspects. But here's the thing.

00:20:40
Speaker 1: So let's take the other side of this. Ken wrote this morning. I'll summarize, but if you're Detroit and you're keeping him, and you're deciding I'm not going to get a massive return for one year of one of the best pitchers in the sport, then you're assuming right. You're aiming for a World Series title. You need to be able to look at your roster and say, yep, I did everything that I could do. Even if you need to scale it back next year, payroll, whatever it is, that's fine. You're telling yourself this is the season. So if you are doing that. He pointed out how their front office leader, Scott Harris can be somewhat risk averse and look for diamonds in the rough. I know, but some more than others. And he said, look at the trade deadline last year, avoided getting uncomfortable, and look at some of the other things that he's done in prior offseasons. He did make a push for Alex Bregman, so you would think maybe they get involved with someone like that again, but I think the point was valid. You either sit down. I think he needs to sit down with his ownership group, Chris Ilich, and he needs to say, hey, are we going hard this offseason? If not, we should trade Terrek Scouple.

00:21:40
Speaker 3: Listen, Almost every GM is risk averse now because they don't want to be the one that gave up this player and he became something they don't want to be. They don't want to be Aj Preller.

00:21:50
Speaker 2: Right.

00:21:50
Speaker 3: Preller gave up his players and if some of them turned into something, you know what, But he's like, I screw it, I went for it, right. You don't want to be the guy who gave up Tatis for James Shields, right, and if you get a ring.

00:22:01
Speaker 2: Like kratz Issayan, it doesn't matter.

00:22:03
Speaker 3: But I just every we've had this, and we've had this conversation on the show all the time. More gms are afraid and talk themselves out of making the move instead of just making the move. Just make the move. Just if you want the player, like you Bote and just here. If you like the player and you want the player, go get the player. Worry about the restlator I've never asked. I've never asked Gymnast because I know what his answer would be. But if you're a GM, do you want to say, Man, did I do it great? For seven years? I built up one of the best farm systems that I could ever. Do you know what we had a we had we won fifty four percent of the time. Or do you want to say, you know what, I worked for four years, we got a ring, or you know what I worked for four years just fell short.

00:22:51
Speaker 4: I pushed it. It was the time I look at I look at the I look at the Tigers and the Brewers, and I say, if the Brewers don't trade for Terry Scoogle, then the Tigers are trade for Freddie Peralta like like you sit there and you go there's times when teams could be one starting pitcher away from giving this team in this city the best chance to win a World Series. And I have a hard time, and maybe this is because I'm an I'm an idiot player ex player. I have a hard time believing that is the wrong thing to do, because this is your window, this is your chance. You're never gonna get an opportunity to sign a guy for five years, one hundred and fifty million, so you might as well go for it in this way. There's different ways to go for it and financially, the long term deals to Kyle Tucker or Show Hey are never gonna happen for your org, bring it to bring the championship to your city this way.

00:23:51
Speaker 1: So what do you want to do if you're Detroit right over the weekend?

00:23:54
Speaker 3: They before we talk to Troit, I want to ask Kratz and you a question. There was a guy we're gonna have on the show tomorrow. He is the new general manager president baseball offs of the Saint Louis Cardinals. He went to Boston, Okay, built up their farm system. All the guys if we're all talking, Roman Anthony, Marcelo Meyer, he's the one they drafted and developed them all right, he got shit canned?

00:24:21
Speaker 2: Right?

00:24:21
Speaker 3: Sorry him, you're out, Craig brosely In ask him, well, ask him tomorrow. What do you think he would rather do? If he looks back on it. They told him to trade Mookie Betts, they told him build up the farm system. He did all those things. Doesn't have a choice, but he didn't win and they got.

00:24:35
Speaker 2: Rid of him.

00:24:35
Speaker 3: So do you think he's like, damn? If I would have just traded Marcelo Meyer in Roman Anthony and got better players at the big league level that were ready at that time, I'd still have that job. That's basically what krat is saying. And we have the perfect guy coming on tomorrow in heim Bloom who did that, got let go, and now he's gonna have to do it again in Saint Louis. This guy knows that he has the map to how.

00:24:55
Speaker 2: To do this.

00:24:56
Speaker 1: That's why it's a tough job though, because you have to thread the needle. You do not have the it's say news flash, the owner does. So he has to listen to the owner who says, hey, you gotta trade Mookie bets.

00:25:07
Speaker 2: You're the guy.

00:25:07
Speaker 1: You got to do it, and he might say, hey, I'd rather actually trade some prospects. Re signed Mookie long term. It's not up to him. And then you have to thread the needle of getting them to the next great red tax team, even though you were just given like a really bad directive, and if you don't, you're out and they move on to the next person. Okay, for the Tigers, I mean, I'm just throwing this out there. We're not gonna spend a lot of time on this, but they signed a guy named Drew Anderson. He had been overseas for four years. One of the better pictures in the KBO We're seeing a lot of this lately. There are more they.

00:25:38
Speaker 3: Were able to sign, they got the deadline came where they were able to become like basically free agent.

00:25:43
Speaker 1: So that's why right then they they come over. So you know, has improved himself out there, high strikers, blah blah blah. That's great, might be a starter. Now let's talk deep end. What should the Tigers do if they're keeping Trek Scoogle that is realistic for them. I think an other Big Boys starter with s Google And what are we doing with the offense?

00:26:05
Speaker 3: They strike out so much?

00:26:10
Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. So so you want then, I mean, ideally you want to contact slug Guy because that's the perfect that.

00:26:16
Speaker 3: I mean, there's a guy that plays third base that their manager has a very long history with that's a free agent this year that they didn't get.

00:26:25
Speaker 1: And they got closed last year.

00:26:27
Speaker 2: Yes, continued Bragman would look really nice in that lineup.

00:26:31
Speaker 1: It would look very nice. And my understanding was the Tigers pumped out a number from their computer projections and said, we're sticking to this. We don't believe that he's got something better.

00:26:42
Speaker 2: How did that guy not good?

00:26:44
Speaker 1: Not good?

00:26:44
Speaker 3: They just thing, if they would have had one more hitter, they could have won that series against Seattle.

00:26:48
Speaker 2: Exactly mean school pitch, great toys and lost.

00:26:51
Speaker 1: That was the difference.

00:26:52
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what he said.

00:26:53
Speaker 1: That's what he said.

00:26:56
Speaker 2: That's what he said.

00:26:57
Speaker 1: That's what he said. I wish Kratz was here for this right now, but he had to jump. He played with Sonny Gray on the Yankees and he's always got good insight there. But he's not here, so we get to talk about it. The drama that nobody saw coming. Sonny Gray's tenure with the Yankees has become a back and forth battle.

00:27:18
Speaker 2: You know what.

00:27:18
Speaker 3: I just I haven't really paid attention to this because Sonny Gray didn't pitch very well in New York and he didn't really enjoy his time. He's basically just said that, and now it's gonna turned into a whole big thing, which I love. And you know what, he gave his opinion and not everyone loves it. Every part I played in some play, I played in some places where you didn't exactly love it, But you know what, good for Sonny Gray.

00:27:38
Speaker 1: But there's more to it because of the aftermath. I don't know if you got all these quotes. So Brian Cashman spoke and said, when Sonny was with the A's, he was telling our minor league video coordinator, the Yanks minor league video coordinator, you gotta get me over to the Yankees. Tell cash get me over to the Yankees. I want out of Oakland. I want a championship. And cash later went on to basically say that his agent told him to do that, to lie that he wanted to get over there. His agent, Boe McGuinness, actually gave a statement out this morning. He said, so Brian is trying to make people believe I told Sonny to, in Cashman's words, lie to the minor league video guy to try to get Sonny to the Yankees, even though per Cashman, Sonny did not want to be with the Yankees, to subsequently somehow help Sonny's free agency. This makes zero sense. Further, the words I want to I want out of Oakland have never been said by Sonny. He loved his time with the A's. See now it's on. Did you hear all that? I now it's on. That's what's going on.

00:28:44
Speaker 2: I didn't still work for the Red Sox. How are you boy?

00:28:48
Speaker 1: So?

00:28:49
Speaker 2: Uh yeah, I just minor league video guy now makes trades.

00:28:55
Speaker 1: Who side are you on?

00:28:58
Speaker 2: I don't know. I think it's great for people are talking about this, but.

00:29:01
Speaker 1: This is a this is a head to head battle. You've got a player ramped.

00:29:05
Speaker 2: Who feels on Bostle ramped up.

00:29:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it. Right. Clearly, Sonny didn't like.

00:29:12
Speaker 2: Well, he didn't pitch well, and he wasn't happy in New York.

00:29:15
Speaker 1: But Cashman said he never wanted to go there. According to the lies that were told by Sonny to try and get himself over there to help his free agent case.

00:29:27
Speaker 2: I don't know that.

00:29:28
Speaker 1: But here's the thing. Fran Cashman's like a long time executive with the Yankees. Why is he throwing that out there? And then your guys's.

00:29:34
Speaker 2: Gotta have backing on it. He's not just throwing it out there.

00:29:37
Speaker 1: And I love the candor from him. But the other side is like, make this make sense, funny?

00:29:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, I don't. I don't know.

00:29:47
Speaker 3: I can't make this make sense because if Sonny Gray went and said I want to go to the Yankees, okay, well, then when he got there he wasn't very happy. But Cashman said he didn't want to come to the Yankees and when they're in there a story where he was supposed to go somewhere else in the last minute, the Yankee stepped in and got them I believe.

00:30:02
Speaker 4: So.

00:30:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think Kratz actually was the one who shared the day.

00:30:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, so I love it. I love it.

00:30:10
Speaker 3: I love when gms and players get into it because doesn't happen ever, especially over guys that were pretty good and they went to a team. And but I don't know, I think there must be some too, because Brian Cashan disitually doesn't say these things, and then Sonny Gray also never says anything either, So there's got to be somewhere. And you know, there's three sides of every story. His side, Scott side, and the truth side.

00:30:31
Speaker 1: There's four sides because we have the player rap in Bob too, the agent. We don't see agents come out like this or not many of them. Of course, you know, we have Scott Boris on the show. He's pretty public with his comments. Many other agents stay behind the scenes. And this pissed someone off so much that they felt like they needed to defend themselves. Yeah, and tell their side of the story. Yes, that's good stuff. Yes, for our purposes. What are we really going to figure out here? We're going to figure out that this year when Sunny Gray gets to face the New York Yankees, we have juice. That's all. It is.

00:31:06
Speaker 2: Three or four times when he gets the face added juice, just fire, fire every time.

00:31:10
Speaker 3: When they're on every Fox game on Saturday, in every ESPN game on Sunday Night. Oh wait no, they don't have you Sunday Night anymore. Do the NBCNBC, NBC.

00:31:18
Speaker 2: Sunday Night Yankees, Red Sox Yankees, Red Sox, Gray.

00:31:22
Speaker 1: Verse, cash Man. It's on the battle, all right, next up on. That's what he said. Nick Castellanos is open to learning to play first base if someone wants him to do that. It is no secret that he has not looked at in high regards for his defensive work in the outfields, and there was some battles about that.

00:31:44
Speaker 3: He can still hit. He wasn't comfortable this year. So listen, if he wants to play first base and he thinks it'll help him, great, if there's a team out there that needs a rain hitting first baseman, hitch you thirty doubles.

00:31:56
Speaker 2: I don't mind this trick. He's not making that much.

00:32:00
Speaker 1: No, he is making a lot, but the team that he goes much will hold up. Hold up. The team that he goes to next is not going to pay that much. There are some true they'll pay it down, they'll pay most of it down. There are some thoughts that no team is actually going to take it, and that some team is just like, I'll convince him to take a league minimum deal. After those two part ways, what is pretty evident at this point is that the Phillies will not have him on next year's roster, whether that's via trade or buy out. That basically just pays him to go back to free agency, and then they make up the league minimum money. Right the Phillies would essentially just save like eight hundred K because he'll sign with some other team. So that's the debate right now. And if there's a team that is really interested him, they could say, hey, we'll take on you take on everything except for I'm just making up a number two million bucks, right, so we'll take him on a two million dollar deal, which gets us the player. So that's all that's going on here. I agree, I think the numbers weren't great offensively for him this year, but there was a lot going on. Clearly was bad.

00:33:00
Speaker 3: He didn't get off to a great start. Him and Topper clearly had something happening. And Nick just wants to play every day and and I think kind of be left alone. We've had him on the show and he's a great interview because he gives you a ton of quotes and he says a lot of good stuff. But there are times where he just wants to play and be left alone. And then you know if you ask him a question, he's going to give you the answer. When they asked him about the communication thing, remember he said, well there hasn't been any which is pretty We want people to be honest. He was pretty honest about it, but it didn't sit well with Philly fans. And let's not forget he got some big hits for them down the stretch. He got the big hits for them in the playoffs. Right, So this dude can still do it. He just needs to go to a place and if it's not Philly where he's comfortable and play, just plays.

00:33:45
Speaker 2: Let Nick Cassiano's cook.

00:33:47
Speaker 3: I know people are gonna say, oh, I didn't have that great year, he had a good year.

00:33:50
Speaker 1: Well, it's the defense I mean, yes, the offense wasn't nearly as good as it's been in some past seasons, but I do agree. I think this is still a bat that can be effected in the major leagues. I get it on the defense side, but the way that most of the front offices work these days, AJ is that they look at the defense and then that adds into the war number. And his war number this year was last out of one hundred and forty five five players on fangrafts. I'm just the reason I'm bringing it out or bring it up is because it is good. I'm telling you what is used to evaluate him, and my teams will say, well, you want me to pay down what for a negative war player. That's just what's going on right now.

00:34:34
Speaker 2: I know.

00:34:35
Speaker 1: So I do think he'll latch on with another team. I think the Phillies probably will trade him, but they will. I mean, he's making twenty mil next year, the Phillies will eat. My guess is at least eighteen ish million, because most teams are saying he's not more than a league minimum guy right now based off last year's okay metrics. That's all. So he's down to I never expected him to not say that that he wouldn't what's he gonna say? And I will not move positions, No, of course not. This isn't the Rafael Dever situation a little bit different, but it was worth bringing up.

00:35:13
Speaker 2: You might have to buy it though.

00:35:16
Speaker 1: All right, what do we have here today? The winning division? So as in the team that will represent the National League in the World Series. And these are your odds, and i'll Central plus three sixty n L East plus one sixty NL West plus one ten.

00:35:31
Speaker 2: I just I like the I don't like these odds.

00:35:32
Speaker 1: A better right, because there's not enough values. We got the.

00:35:35
Speaker 3: Dodgers in the west, right the East, you have the Mets, Phillies, Braves. In the central you have Cubs, Birds, Reds, Reds. Are they gonna beat the other teams.

00:35:45
Speaker 1: And the other that's probably not.

00:35:46
Speaker 3: That's where unless they make some serious moves. But I mean, the pick is the Central. You're gonna throw money down, right, but to me, until I said it last year, until someone beats the Dodgers.

00:36:00
Speaker 1: So here's the thing. We break down almost anything that you can touch on the futures market. Then you just say, you know what, this is a category that I'm not really.

00:36:08
Speaker 2: We found a couple, We found a couple that we could bet.

00:36:11
Speaker 1: We found plenty, And I just want to make it clear with people. It's like when we bring up a board like this, sometimes I look at the board and I'm like.

00:36:17
Speaker 2: Nah, if you just have money to burn and bet on the West.

00:36:22
Speaker 1: Because it's basically plus money, it's even money, but it's even money.

00:36:26
Speaker 2: So if you want to hunter down and win ten bucks maybe down the road or even even the East, take a shot on the East.

00:36:32
Speaker 1: No, one hundred down and win one ten not.

00:36:34
Speaker 2: Ten yeah, yeah, well yeah, get your yeah.

00:36:36
Speaker 1: Sorry, So you have basically double your money, but you need yeah, the Dodgers or do you think there's another team Here's where it goes. Do you think there's another team in the NL West that would give you a little bit of quote insurance versus just putting it on the Dodgers alone. That's the whole name.

00:36:51
Speaker 3: And depending on what the Giants do, uh, Padres aren't going to probably do a whole lot.

00:36:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, but that to me, I'm always yeah, I'm always intrigued by the bull Backs. Maybe yeah, San Diego's got the bullpen to carry you in the playoffs. But this year. It was the offense. I mean it was a short series, but there wasn't much offense from them, and it was actually a problem during the year.

00:37:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, they didn't have much pop either. They still don't. Not like it went out and got more pop.

00:37:21
Speaker 1: No, I mean fairly anybody has done anything. But that is something they should try and solve, is can you find some offense even if it sacrifices some other things like defense or contact. They specifically, I think we're bottom, I know, bottom five, if not bottom three in home runs like that's it's not good enough, not in today's world. So anyway, bet MGM wants to give you another chance at first touchdown scores, so you can get a little second chance for motion your stick back in cash if your first touchdown scorer scores second instead, and also up to fifteen hundred dollars paid back in bonus bets if you don't win and you're a new player using the bonus offer. Foul foul gambling problem or concern called one eight hundred gambling in the weeds. Let's go through more of the notes column for Ken Rosenthal, and there are articles coming out fast and furious during the show. Of course, we'll get to some of those newest. I mean, if there's news, we're hitting it. But if there's reports and columns, we'll get to them tomorrow. But Ken was talking about Kansas City outfield shopping. Ideally they'd like to get two. It sounds like Kyle Isbel could still be the answer for them in center, although if they found an upgrade, I'm sure they would dance there. I think they might be in on Harrison Vader. We've seen that float around, and they would like to ideally sign one and trade for one.

00:38:52
Speaker 2: Yes, they still.

00:38:53
Speaker 3: Think when we had Jim Boden on Cagli, they still think he can be a star. But then where do they go from there? I mean that's kind of been the problem, right is Whi's great, Salvey's getting older. The cal Franco had a nice year. They traded for India. He didn't do anything for him.

00:39:11
Speaker 1: Mike Michael Garcia, mikel Garcia, Michael Franco did play for the Royals.

00:39:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, kids in the head.

00:39:19
Speaker 3: He never did cal Garcia. Sorry, uh, but yeah, they need offense. I mean, Vinnie got off the slow start, picked it up down the stretch. But where do they find the offense got to come from the outfield.

00:39:31
Speaker 2: And they have good pitching. They have.

00:39:33
Speaker 3: They figured out a bullpen with Ersig and some of these other guys that they threw out there. But where do they get the offense? And that's always been a thing in Kansas City. They've always been able to pitch because the way they the ballpark get playing. But can they find enough offense, especially power, because that is not a home run hitters park. And when the years they won, they had fast dudes, they could hit doubles and triples and run all over the park, playing credible defense in the outfield, and they had just enough homers. Mistakas bored and Salve right Osmer. So can they replicate that they have the pitching, can they take the next especially if Reagan's Buba shays it what he does, walka Lugo are healthy again, They're.

00:40:10
Speaker 2: In there in the right division.

00:40:11
Speaker 3: We keep going back to this, but the division matters, the AL Central matters versus the Alas. Wow, Yeah, he put the Royals in the AL East or fifth place team, like you don't even think about it, fifth place, but in the Central they can win the division.

00:40:25
Speaker 1: You got a shot. Yep, that's true, and hey, two years ago, the AL Central really shines. Number of teams made it to the playoffs, right, and the got the round The Guardians got through what two rounds?

00:40:40
Speaker 2: Well, the Yankees took out the whole Ale Central.

00:40:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, they just they were like, you're not as good as us. You're not as good as us, not a playing to your point, you would not do as well in our division, you would not do as well.

00:40:50
Speaker 2: The Tigers had a chance against Americas loss.

00:40:52
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah right. It's not knocking the whole division general. Just your comp of some of those teams in the AL East I think is accurate. It makes sense. But for Kansas City, sure, they have to work around budget restraints. They can't go big game shopping. Some of the names that can put out in his note column are not that sexy.

00:41:16
Speaker 3: I mean, the thing is all about what do you wanted to give up to get what you need.

00:41:21
Speaker 1: I'll give you some of the names. So he said, I'm just gonna read from what Ken roade. Among free agents, a reunion with mike Y Stremsky is one avenue. They're exploring. A Doolie scarcia, Max Kepler and Mike Takman or among the other free agents they could pursue.

00:41:35
Speaker 2: You mentioned Mike Takman. I'm just not on the Royals.

00:41:39
Speaker 3: If the White Sox are gonna non tender, And why didn't they train him as the trade dedife. He had an interest, they could have got something for him.

00:41:45
Speaker 1: Are you talking about Mike Takman or Luis Robert Mike?

00:41:49
Speaker 2: We'll start with Mike talking.

00:41:50
Speaker 1: But that's my point is clearly they've got something else going on there where they feel like they need to hold the guy they get their asking for Mike.

00:41:58
Speaker 3: DFA, DFA, when did he get the fae right?

00:42:04
Speaker 1: But so they wrote out the second half with him, They wrote out the second half with him, and I guess they were gonna see what it looks like or what you just said would probably get disputed, right, It would probably get disputed by them being like, oh no, there weren't any offers. But you're saying there were offers.

00:42:20
Speaker 2: For who Robert for talk?

00:42:22
Speaker 3: I'm sure somebody would have taken Mike talk. Yeah, he was having a nice year and he's a guy that kind of gets on bays, has some left end and throat pop, and.

00:42:29
Speaker 1: Well we've got that with two guys. I don't know what to tell you. I mean, Luis Robert. There were offers too, for sure, they were offers. They said, offers aren't good enough. We're gonna drop another twenty mil and think about it. He could get traded this offseason too. There aren't many center fielders and if you believe in the change of scenery hype, it could be your guy. It gets them out of what was a weird scenario. We don't think we're getting enough. We're gonna pick up the option and ride into next season up and we're getting smashed.

00:42:59
Speaker 3: They said, they said they're going to play or sorry, play in the free agent market.

00:43:04
Speaker 2: Maybe that was an Anthony k It was, you know, a nice story. He got two years.

00:43:08
Speaker 3: But sure are those they're big moves because now their payroll goes up just naturally from picking up the option.

00:43:13
Speaker 1: They can handle all of that. I'm not.

00:43:16
Speaker 2: Playing Devil's advocate here.

00:43:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, of course. John Hayman wrote Red Sox interest in Ka tell marte.

00:43:22
Speaker 3: So so am I I want Kit tell Marteo on my team.

00:43:26
Speaker 1: Do you think he's gonna get traded? If they trade him? It has to happen this offseason. It still can happen after that, but he would have to give them approval. That makes it way more difficult, as we saw it with Nolan Arnatto last year. So he's the best second basement in baseball.

00:43:43
Speaker 3: He's the best position player available for trade. If you I mean for me, who's.

00:43:48
Speaker 5: Better available per trade? People have said, hey, we just got to travel it. That's probably the he's the best second basement. He's just a brilliant offensive player.

00:43:59
Speaker 1: He just yeah, he'swer.

00:44:02
Speaker 2: I know, defense brings something. He's clutches. Hell. We saw him in the playoffs a couple years ago.

00:44:08
Speaker 1: He was the guy for the Diamondbacks.

00:44:09
Speaker 3: If you if you take him and ad him to a lineup, whatever lineup you want to throw him, he may instantly makes that lineup better.

00:44:15
Speaker 1: When a guy is getting floated out there consistently, there usually is something to it. I think we're on the same page. I would aggressively go after a player like this. Yes, some people are like, oh, well, what's with the you know, missing the day here and there? Right, we had the drama last.

00:44:33
Speaker 2: Year, but then you saw for Nomo stand up for him.

00:44:35
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm good, I'm good. I think I think they'll be okay. I would take that production. You have any issue every once in a while where he has to disappear for a day. I mean, you don't want it to happen, but didn't somehow was mom. That is some stuff. We don't know everything going on with people.

00:44:54
Speaker 3: You don't know everything that's happening with people and their family, people in their life. People, their kids are s their wife is sick, their brothers sick, their uncles.

00:45:02
Speaker 1: Sometimes they say one thing, but really they're covering for the other.

00:45:06
Speaker 3: So there's just a lot more happening than I mean, listen, I went through a lot. I've been through a lot. I've had things of my issues with every part of your family you could ever have, right, and it is it. It never goes away, like it never goes away.

00:45:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, health issues, but you don't want to tell everyone. You know, somebody's kids sick like that. Stuff happens and you can't tell.

00:45:24
Speaker 2: And there are those things you can just don't want to tell people.

00:45:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, it gets very public. So anyway, point is Haymon said red tax interest among many other teams. Some of the other teams he brought up were the Mariners, the Pirates, the Rays, the Tigers, the Blue Jays see to me, the theme of the day or the team of the day, Pittsburgh. This is a perfect expedition for them, and it's going to be hard for them to reprove players.

00:45:51
Speaker 2: I think the Pirates have to trade. This is what I'm saying.

00:45:54
Speaker 1: Agreed, could tell Marte. Right, So if you, if you especially guys money where your mouth is, it's it's not crazy money. It's the money that we're talking about here. It's like the Kyle Schwarber money. Because here's my thing. When you're recruiting players, it's going to be difficult as it is right with the Pirates. Now add this. To get those players, you're going to have to overpay. And I know it doesn't necessarily matter, but when you are restricted on your budget and if you only can spend it on one player, it does get pretty complicated. So to me, trading is the move they've been rebuilding for eternity. To tell Marte, who I have gone out nice.

00:46:30
Speaker 3: But here's the thing. Also, if you go out and you trade for a kid, tell Marte. Then you go to the free agents you say, hey, look we got tell Marte, we got Reynolds and we got O'Neil Cruz and we have this guy and we have that guy. Hey, it's a little more we have Schemes and Chandler and Jared Jones a killer. It gets a little more attractive to free agents to come by and say, hey, they actually are trying.

00:46:50
Speaker 2: Maybe this is something they're actually gonna try and.

00:46:52
Speaker 1: Do versus we did. Did you see the news? We did send it offer to Kyle Schwarber for four years. That's well, good for you, you're gonna finish in ninth place for him. But for Kittel Marte, he's making fifteen million next year and he's owed one oh two point five mili from twenty twenty six to twenty thirty one. So whatever the match is there, I'm saying that is exactly in the wheelhouse of what It sounds like the Pirates are going to be able to commit to another player. So that's, in my mind, the direction that they should be thinking now to get that player. It's gonna hurt, You're gonna have to give up prospects, but come on, whatever you're doing. Clearly Pittsburgh's interested in trying to at least sniff a playoff race. I think that's the thing. And also if they don't this front office moves on.

00:47:36
Speaker 2: You've got to show people that you're trying. You can't just.

00:47:41
Speaker 1: Say it if they're not in a race in September for a playoff spot, there's I will say this, there's no chance they're going to keep the current group with Ben Sherrington in there again, it'll have been like seven or eight years. I think there is no.

00:47:54
Speaker 2: Way he's now been giving the green light to spend money.

00:47:56
Speaker 1: Well, it's a combination. It's what we talked about earlier, where it's a the lockouts looming. You guys never spend fake like you're into it for a year as the owner with the budget and then we can go from there. So to me, it's a perfect storm. If you're Ben Charrington, you're getting a little bit more budget for the first time ever and you actually have to do something or you're going to get fired.

00:48:18
Speaker 2: So I just wanted to point out in the Red Sox where they were big money.

00:48:22
Speaker 1: Yeah it's not him, right, but I'm just saying to me, that's the kind of team that should make an offer for a guy because all they have to do is is win the bid. With free agency, it's it's going to have to It's a different.

00:48:37
Speaker 3: You have to play a different game if you want to again, you have to show it before you I think, before you can go get the free agent, like, okay, I'll use the Nationals. We always use the Jason word. Right, But they had Harper in Strasburg. I think we're already there right before they went out and got Jason Worth. Then they had Zimmerman, right, they had rendeout, So they had these guys coming. So as a free agent, you look at it and you say, and then they went out, they got worse. He was the first one. Then they went and got Sures er Corbin. Right, But they were already seeing that they were on the right track before they went there, right, because I remember twenty whenever whatever suss first year was twenty fifteen. When he signed there, I was like, they had Harper, Sures or Strassburg. I'm like this sucks because I was in the division. I'm like, dude, I got to go to Washington face these dudes like.

00:49:24
Speaker 2: It was real.

00:49:25
Speaker 3: But people outside the organization could see it and they're like, oh, there is a direction.

00:49:29
Speaker 1: People want to be part of.

00:49:30
Speaker 3: People want to be part of it. It's kind of what happens with the with the Dodgers right now. It's a destination, right Oh, the Yankees forever were that place. Tont Toronto's getting there. They're working on it right Toronto's working on it. Red Sox, like the Cubs for a for a while, were that kind of destination. He kind of place, but they've kind of lost. When you start losing it, you got to get it back.

00:49:54
Speaker 1: Right. Jesse Chabez, who was on our show when he announced his retirement, is right back into the big leagues in the coaching world.

00:50:00
Speaker 2: Cool bullpen coach.

00:50:02
Speaker 3: Good for him, Yeah, I mean, is there a better guy to have a bullpen coach? He he was in the bullpen for like twenty five years for like twenty five teams.

00:50:08
Speaker 1: Now does this play to what you want from Tony v Telim and his staff? There has been a bullpen coach before, but he is a very seasoned Major leaguer who has been around every Class's what I'm saying to higher you want slap hands? If you were playing the over undergame of how many people slap hands with Aj Prizinski over the last three hours, the number is sixty four.

00:50:43
Speaker 2: That's it?

00:50:43
Speaker 1: Or maybe it's sixty seven.

00:50:45
Speaker 3: I thought it'd be way higher than that. What do we consider slapping hands? Are you like a hug, a fistbamp.

00:50:50
Speaker 1: Just like any hand contact hand to hand, it's way higher than that. Yeah, it's probably one twenty nine, just if we.

00:50:57
Speaker 2: Were counting from the time I walked in here. Just again, that's a whole It was ridiculous.

00:51:01
Speaker 3: It was one hundreds, which is great because as you said, I haven't been to the winter meetings a long time.

00:51:06
Speaker 2: You haven't been around with us for a long time.

00:51:08
Speaker 1: Yep.

00:51:09
Speaker 3: So the people you see that you just don't see it. I see more than you do because I'm still out there, right. But like the relationships with the reporters and even the managers and some of the other coaches that come by, it's cool.

00:51:19
Speaker 2: It's cool to see them all one place. It's just a lot.

00:51:21
Speaker 1: It's a lot. So the ones for me are haven't seen you in three years and they want some time, and that's cool, but not until the show's done. So anyway, thanks to everyone that was joining us today. Think we did a nice three hours live team behind the scenes crushed it. And it is not easy to figure out how to put this stuff together here too. They limit us on Wi Fi and all that stuff. And look what we did, three hour live show. We're doing this again on Tuesday and Wednesday. We'll have plenty of guests joining US managers, front office leaders, the whole deal, and we'll get to all the rumors reports. We'll try and get insiders the whole deal uh on FT here the next couple of days. So we'll see you on Tuesday live.

00:52:05
Speaker 4: Mmmm
