<v Speaker 1>You know, it's like there's people around you, there's you know,
<v Speaker 1>you can kind of just take a breath and you
<v Speaker 1>just kind of give got to give all that energy
<v Speaker 1>to folks.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, you do.
<v Speaker 4>Are you exhausted at the end of those huh?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I find myself like, yeah, at the end of the day,
<v Speaker 1>just like drain, I'm like, why am I tired? That
<v Speaker 1>was fun and yeah, And I'm like, because you just
<v Speaker 1>gave all your energy to people.
<v Speaker 4>You want people to be happy.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. So well, you know, I was in rock and
<v Speaker 2>roll for a millionaires. I was in million bands. Only
<v Speaker 2>one made money, oh to uh, but it was it's
<v Speaker 2>I liken it to that at the end of the night,
<v Speaker 2>because you're on fire for like three hours, you know,
<v Speaker 2>whatever it is, and then you're and then you're not
<v Speaker 2>touch me. Yeah then yeah, then hand me a really
<v Speaker 2>cold beer and I'm gonna sit here and be quiet. Guy.
<v Speaker 2>Uh no, I haven't been much of anything lately, but
<v Speaker 2>uh probably Corona Corona.
<v Speaker 4>I just always remember blue. Remember fuck that ship paps
<v Speaker 4>blue ribbon.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, that was that commercial on this podcast. Fuck No,
<v Speaker 2>I mean we can't. Oh, I mean, son of a oopsie,

<v Speaker 2>or there's something yeah, you never just you know, I try.
<v Speaker 1>I've tried to do, like, you know, I could do
<v Speaker 1>my own cartoon voices.
<v Speaker 4>That I guess I make up or whatever.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you like stuff that you do it's so I
<v Speaker 1>find it fascinating and very difficult even for a lot
<v Speaker 1>of the characters and stuff that I've done to find
<v Speaker 1>a character for them to you know, and we talked
<v Speaker 1>about this for them, for you to get exactly what
<v Speaker 1>they want. There's so many other actors and they're belting
<v Speaker 1>out stuff and giving all these and there's something amazing.
<v Speaker 4>It's I always say.
<v Speaker 1>I was interviewed yesterday and I said, I think the
<v Speaker 1>voiceover world, voice acting, it's harder to get work than
<v Speaker 1>it is in regular acting.
<v Speaker 2>It feels that way. Yeah, I would think. So. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Well my joke is, well, anybody could do it if
<v Speaker 2>they get to use their face. Okay, maybe not in
<v Speaker 2>my particular case, but yeah, you know, and I've said
<v Speaker 2>this one hundred times. I didn't know it was impossible
<v Speaker 2>to break into, you know, voice over. I was already
<v Speaker 2>working for about a year and a half and I
<v Speaker 2>read The Great Gordon Hunt Got Restless, so The King
<v Speaker 2>of Hannah, Barbara and he did Flintstones did voice director
<v Speaker 2>for so many years. Helen Hunt's dad and he wrote
<v Speaker 2>How to Break into Show Business. Well, the fifth chapter
<v Speaker 2>is how to break How to start a voiceover career
<v Speaker 2>and I was already working, thank you Lord, when I
<v Speaker 2>read this, and it says, oh, don't even bother. There's
<v Speaker 2>five people that do that in Hollywood. You're not one
<v Speaker 2>of them. And it was that abrupt and then you
<v Speaker 2>turned the pain. That was it?
<v Speaker 1>Do you know There's a book I read in college
<v Speaker 1>and it was called Maybe it was Being an Actor
<v Speaker 1>or something, and the first page was, if you don't
<v Speaker 1>have a unique personality, if you're not getting the roles
<v Speaker 1>you want or strong supporting roles, if you're not this, this, this,
<v Speaker 1>all these things, you shouldn't be an actor. Stop reading
<v Speaker 1>this book.
<v Speaker 4>And I go, I'm all these fuck you yeah, page two.
<v Speaker 1>As I thought in my stable mind that you know,
<v Speaker 1>and back then I was. I was driven and just
<v Speaker 1>so much confidence that when you're younger that I was
<v Speaker 1>like fearless and I don't know what happens, but when
<v Speaker 1>you get older, that's key.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, when you're older, it seems like it sort of dissipates.
<v Speaker 4>It just uh, it's.
<v Speaker 2>Not always there or necessary or maybe you made it
<v Speaker 2>that amount of progress. See you, maybe you know somebody
<v Speaker 2>don't eat it.
<v Speaker 1>You don't need to push it. Yeah, right, because they
<v Speaker 1>could see hire me, please, nerves everything. They could see
<v Speaker 1>that a mile you walk in if they don't see
<v Speaker 1>something confident, but the.
<v Speaker 2>Person, yeah, that's right, and do you A lot of people, boy,
<v Speaker 2>Like a lot of people will say, so, how do
<v Speaker 2>you do it? How do you break in? How do
<v Speaker 2>you do it? And I mean I always tell them
<v Speaker 2>the truth. I say, well, first you work in a
<v Speaker 2>steel mill, then you moved to New Orleans and then
<v Speaker 2>near a decand on a riverboat for a few years,
<v Speaker 2>and then you make a demo tape in Hollywood calls,
<v Speaker 2>and then then you get to answer incredible questions like this, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>and that's pretty I'm pretty sure that's how everybody does it.
<v Speaker 2>Or maybe it could have been just me.
<v Speaker 1>I wasn't meant to do anything. I was according to
<v Speaker 1>everybody who I grew up with. I mean, I just
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't popular. It was the shortest kid in my
<v Speaker 1>high school. And if you asked anybody like who Michael Rosenmumma,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, now I've done something, you know, done things
<v Speaker 1>right now. But but they it would have been like,
<v Speaker 1>I know, he got up our high school. You know.
<v Speaker 1>It was one of those things, and not even my
<v Speaker 1>parents thought I'd amount to anything. Well, they knew who
<v Speaker 1>you were, though they knew exactly, so I didn't get
<v Speaker 1>the confidence from them. It was I fed off the
<v Speaker 1>attention and the the external thing, like you know, somebody
<v Speaker 1>saying you're great, like you believe it, and then it
<v Speaker 1>would just be gone and then you need.
<v Speaker 4>Somebody else to say it.
<v Speaker 1>So by acting, it was like instant gratification, Like last night,
<v Speaker 1>that's wow, somebody's telling me I'm good for the first
<v Speaker 1>time in my life. Right, And that sounds sad, but
<v Speaker 1>that's what sort of gave me that energy, like, hey,
<v Speaker 1>maybe I'm good at this, maybe I should keep doing that,
<v Speaker 1>but I think I was doing it for all the
<v Speaker 1>wrong reasons. And then thankfully through therapy and all those things,
<v Speaker 1>I think, yeah, it was just more of you know,
<v Speaker 1>my brother he woke up one night and he just
<v Speaker 1>started writing in his journal and for some reason he
<v Speaker 1>thought he'd share this with me, and he sent it
<v Speaker 1>to me this email, and in the email he talks
<v Speaker 1>about each kid and he goes and then there was Michael.
<v Speaker 2>That's good.
<v Speaker 4>No one paid attention to him. It's like he didn't exist,
<v Speaker 4>And you know.
<v Speaker 1>I remember kind of crying, damn, my eyes kind of
<v Speaker 1>filled up, and I go, why are you crying? I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't upset because he said that. I was upset because
<v Speaker 1>he acknowledged something that I had felt.
<v Speaker 4>You know what I mean.
<v Speaker 2>It wasn't that, Colonel, the truth God to you.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, there wasn't. Just a lot of Hey, I'm really
<v Speaker 1>proud of you. You're talented, you can go far. Really
<v Speaker 1>give this a shot. I never heard of that. You
<v Speaker 1>too got and that's and that pushes you. Yes, people
<v Speaker 1>don't realize that. It's like you have. You want to
<v Speaker 1>prove yourself, and you will go to battle. You will
<v Speaker 1>go to battle.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, don't worry about me. I'm just checking on I
<v Speaker 4>like I worry about everybody. Yeah, I's worrisome stuff back here.
<v Speaker 4>Don't worry about it.
<v Speaker 2>It's definitely worrisome. Yeah. Yeah, but see I and and I.
<v Speaker 2>This is undoubtedly a flaw, but I I'm propelled on
<v Speaker 2>by negative criticism. You like it? No, well I don't
<v Speaker 2>like it, but I then it gives me, oh really really? Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you know I can remember Jim Man. I don't want
<v Speaker 2>to mention his name, but he threw me up against
<v Speaker 2>the the lockers. I was sophomore in high school, and
<v Speaker 2>and I know you think you're the ship, don't you
<v Speaker 2>comings Yeah? Oh yeah, oh yeah, what do you and
<v Speaker 2>your little band? What are you gonna do? See you
<v Speaker 2>need to play drums? And and I was thinking, yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you know, and and then what are you gonna do?
<v Speaker 2>You know? And I was in speech. I was a
<v Speaker 2>speech interpretation made it all the way to state. I
<v Speaker 2>was second in the state of I like you interpretation,
<v Speaker 2>and and then and I found out I was second
<v Speaker 2>because I did three separate speeches and you were only
<v Speaker 2>supposed to do one. And I thought I was showing off,
<v Speaker 2>and apparently I was, to my detriment. Doesn't matter. First,
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna who cares about that? Yeah, But I was
<v Speaker 2>propelled by him telling me that I'll never be anything.
<v Speaker 2>I will never ever ever, you know, I mean I won't,
<v Speaker 2>I mean not even like yeah, and lou Shi with
<v Speaker 2>this stupid guidance counselor, he told me, oh wow, like
<v Speaker 2>it was yesterday. He says, well, comings it's like this.
<v Speaker 2>I think that you have a future there to where
<v Speaker 2>you could work perhaps on a construction site and say
<v Speaker 2>there are carpenters and they want a two by four.
<v Speaker 2>Now you're going to have to know your two by
<v Speaker 2>four from your two by six, and I'm going, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>and he's gonna want one or the other, and you
<v Speaker 2>got to be on the ball, partner. And he's actually
<v Speaker 2>giving me advice about my burgeoning careers. And I wasn't
<v Speaker 2>even the carpenter. I was the guy handing him this
<v Speaker 2>would to cut. I wasn't even I didn't even get
<v Speaker 2>the hammer in the near. I was just yeah, And
<v Speaker 2>I thought, you got and and I said, you will
<v Speaker 2>brag that you knew me, you asshole that, And that's
<v Speaker 2>that's probably not the best way to be encouraged.
<v Speaker 4>But sometimes it's the only way. But if it's yeah,
<v Speaker 4>so you got, it's the only way. I mean.
<v Speaker 1>It's like if everybody's like not believe in you, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you got to find a way, man, You got to
<v Speaker 1>find a way and ultimately believe in yourself. I mean
<v Speaker 1>that's just I mean, I know it sounds simple and cliche, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>but you have to. Everybody's got something and you have
<v Speaker 1>to find that and go with it and be proud
<v Speaker 1>of it, and you know, and also work. Things don't
<v Speaker 1>come easy easily at all. I mean, I think that's
<v Speaker 1>a big uh.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I think people assume becoming an actor, it doesn't it
<v Speaker 1>doesn't look that hard or doesn't you know all these
<v Speaker 1>things look easy?
<v Speaker 2>What do they do?
<v Speaker 4>And even to my dad, he was like, yeah, you know,
<v Speaker 4>what do you do for you know, I work? I
<v Speaker 4>work nine to five. I bust my ass. I'm up
<v Speaker 4>at six and more.
<v Speaker 2>I don't work.
<v Speaker 4>I haven't missed a day in forty years. What is
<v Speaker 4>your work? What do you do?
<v Speaker 1>Like?
<v Speaker 4>You know, like, but I I thn'k. I just go.
<v Speaker 1>You have no idea? What I do? You have no idea? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you've never asked, you know what I mean? And I
<v Speaker 1>love my father, but like it's just a different mentality.
<v Speaker 1>It's an old school mentality.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, and I had that one.
<v Speaker 4>So I was kind of I was kind of like
<v Speaker 4>lost in.
<v Speaker 1>My mother was always you know, you know, some popping
<v Speaker 1>pills every once in a while and always.
<v Speaker 4>Out there and like I need a fucking value.
<v Speaker 2>And she was like, you're gonna be an actor. That's great.
<v Speaker 1>And she was just like, oh, you know, and no
<v Speaker 1>one ever my grandmother's like, you know how difficult this is.
<v Speaker 1>I go, I'm going to make it. Remember this conversation,
<v Speaker 1>Remember this convers and I remember saying that for you,
<v Speaker 1>like you know, you know what.
<v Speaker 2>The odds are.
<v Speaker 4>I go not for me that those are your Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>those are your odds. I don't look at that. I
<v Speaker 4>know what's going to happen.
<v Speaker 3>So was there a point in time, was literally like
<v Speaker 3>a specific point in time when you knew that came true?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>This guy Leo Burmaster, he was a Broadway actor and
<v Speaker 1>he went to Western Kentucky University, came down to talk
<v Speaker 1>to the theater class, theater department, and certain people got to.
<v Speaker 4>Do Is this like when you knew he well, I already.
<v Speaker 1>Was starting to get lead roles, oh and get some confidence.
<v Speaker 1>But he said, he came down and watched people get
<v Speaker 1>monologues and there's like eight of us, ten of us,
<v Speaker 1>and I was last, and I did it, and he goes,
<v Speaker 1>come here, I want you to do it this way.
<v Speaker 1>I want you as if you're looking in the mirror
<v Speaker 1>talking yourself. And I took the direction and I did it,
<v Speaker 1>and he goes, come here, and all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>the class is stirring. They're like, no one's gone twice,
<v Speaker 1>let alone three times. Oh, I want you to do
<v Speaker 1>it like this, like you're desperate like, and I did it.
<v Speaker 1>He goes, come here and everybody's like, what is going on?
<v Speaker 2>WHOA?
<v Speaker 4>And I thought, am I doing some teachers want?
<v Speaker 1>And then afterwards he grabbed me and he said, you've
<v Speaker 1>got it.
<v Speaker 4>It's all right here, it's all in your heart. You've
<v Speaker 4>got it. Show with it. And it wasn't like and
<v Speaker 4>I swear to God.
<v Speaker 1>Before he came, I said to my roommate Tom, this
<v Speaker 1>guy he's coming to Broadway. He's done the Abyss with
<v Speaker 1>James Cameron.
<v Speaker 4>He's done.
<v Speaker 2>Wow.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you know, I go, he's gonna come. I'm gonna
<v Speaker 1>give him monologue and he's gonna you know, I'm gonna
<v Speaker 1>he's gonna introduce me to his agent and this, and
<v Speaker 1>he's all right're getting.
<v Speaker 4>Ahead of yourself.
<v Speaker 1>And he calls me at my apartment in uh In
<v Speaker 1>at Western Kentucky and says, hey, uh, do you want to.
<v Speaker 4>Fly to New York and meet my agent?
<v Speaker 2>I still have that let me see let me think
<v Speaker 2>when And I did, and I flew out.
<v Speaker 1>A couple of weeks later and I met with them,
<v Speaker 1>and you know, I wasn't ready because I wanted to
<v Speaker 1>finish school. But all those things, it's so true that
<v Speaker 1>if you if you believe them, if you really believe it,
<v Speaker 1>it will happen. If you're doing it, you're going through
<v Speaker 1>the motions and you're pretending like you're like, oh, yeah, no,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to do this.
<v Speaker 2>This is yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you don't have it. You know, you don't have
<v Speaker 1>a chance. You you have to believe it. I'm telling you.
<v Speaker 1>That's the absolute truth of what happened. I thought that
<v Speaker 1>would happen, and it happened. I manifested it. Yeah you
<v Speaker 1>did so sure, it's crazy.
<v Speaker 4>It's uh. But like I said, I was young.
<v Speaker 1>I was naive, but.
<v Speaker 2>That's when it happens.
<v Speaker 4>It worked out.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I was five, So when I knew I was good,
<v Speaker 2>I was. I was.
<v Speaker 4>I remember that when you were sitting from TV.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, well you know, we were watching my dad. We
<v Speaker 2>were sitting there black and white TV. Had I sold
<v Speaker 2>this before. I don't want to overdo it, but it
<v Speaker 2>was Jack Benny program and mel Blank was a he
<v Speaker 2>was a guest man and he was doing the SI
<v Speaker 2>routine where he came out and he had some bren
<v Speaker 2>Well what is your name? Si? I see, and and
<v Speaker 2>you were not from here, You're you're from Mexico. Would
<v Speaker 2>that be right, see and he goes, oh, I see you. Yeah, well,
<v Speaker 2>you know, we don't get a lot of tourists from
<v Speaker 2>Mexico here on the show. So and he goes, oh, okay,
<v Speaker 2>are we gonna gonna just keep doing this? And you're
<v Speaker 2>gonna give one syllable answers see And and my dad goes,
<v Speaker 2>you say this bastard, And I with the bastard was

<v Speaker 3>how everybody in LA goes into acting. I'm gonna be
<v Speaker 3>fucking famous, Like I don't I don't care about taking

<v Speaker 1>love movies. Yeah, I love movies. You know, you know,
<v Speaker 1>either watching Cool Hand Luke, you know, The Godfather, The Shining.
<v Speaker 3>Were you into like celebrity culture too, Like did you
<v Speaker 3>watch like Extra and like TMZ and.
<v Speaker 4>Stuff like that? So, but I remember watching the Oscars.
<v Speaker 1>I remember I had a dialects class and I would
<v Speaker 1>I remember I would just do impressions and Ray Fines
<v Speaker 1>was nominated for saving Private Ryan.
<v Speaker 2>He's so good?
<v Speaker 4>Is that saving? No? No?
<v Speaker 2>No, it was yeah, I know that.
<v Speaker 4>It was on D Day. It was like the Big
<v Speaker 4>War the uh maybe that was one. No, it wasn't same.
<v Speaker 4>Probably it shin there's less, that's it.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, nominated for Schindler's List, And I remember just sitting
<v Speaker 1>there listening to his voice. You know, they have this
<v Speaker 1>power and you look closer with them, like I do
<v Speaker 1>you see this? They have this power and he has
<v Speaker 1>this and I just remember memorizing it and then I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna memorize this guy. And I just was so fascinated
<v Speaker 1>by actors and being a star, but being good, not
<v Speaker 1>just like you know, I didn't want to be on
<v Speaker 1>some crappy show, and lord knows i've done him or
<v Speaker 1>a crappy movie and that too. But you know, I
<v Speaker 1>just I loved it so much. But I wasn't afraid
<v Speaker 1>to say. Everybody around me was like, I want to be.
<v Speaker 1>I want how much do I go? I want to
<v Speaker 1>do movies, man, I want to be. Yeah, I want
<v Speaker 1>to overscreen.
<v Speaker 2>I want to I want to say my name, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I want to show everybody. It comes back to that, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I want to show everybody look at him, look what
<v Speaker 1>he did. So but then what happened, thank god, is
<v Speaker 1>I became I became or evolution or whatever it was.
<v Speaker 1>But I think I just I've just been humbled. Like
<v Speaker 1>my whole approach is just being sincere, being kind and
<v Speaker 1>and I remember somebody saying, as an actor or just
<v Speaker 1>as a human being, always be kind to people. And
<v Speaker 1>by the way, you never know who you're bumping into. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you never know who you're talking to.
<v Speaker 3>That's what I want to bring up because yeah, you know,
<v Speaker 3>I've met you a couple of times at conventions and
<v Speaker 3>seeing you around obviously you know my dad and stuff
<v Speaker 3>from yeah, when I was a kid. But you've always
<v Speaker 3>struck me as like a very good networker and like
<v Speaker 3>a very sociable person. Like even when I see you
<v Speaker 3>at conventions, you know, I always say, like you're always
<v Speaker 3>with the cool kids. You know, there's kind of that's like,
<v Speaker 3>you know what, but you know what I'm talking about,
<v Speaker 3>there's that like higherarchy in the green room even you know,
<v Speaker 3>there's like it not everybody hangs out with everybody, and
<v Speaker 3>everybody's kind of.
<v Speaker 4>Checking each other out. Yeah everybody. I don't care.
<v Speaker 3>No, no, no, that's what I'm saying about you. But you
<v Speaker 3>know the dynamic I'm talking about.
<v Speaker 4>Right, Yes, But I will say this about that. This
<v Speaker 4>is the truth.
<v Speaker 1>I have never felt comfortable with being around a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of actors like I could you believe you wouldn't believe it.
<v Speaker 1>I'm in a room I could put turn it on,
<v Speaker 1>mad it and funny. But I just always felt like
<v Speaker 1>I didn't belong, like I didn't quite belong. And it's
<v Speaker 1>not that they're in some great There aren't great people
<v Speaker 1>out there and great you know, there's a lot of actors.
<v Speaker 1>I know they're wonderful human beings. Yeah, but it's just
<v Speaker 1>part of me that just is like I want to
<v Speaker 1>hang out with my friend Tom, who grew up down
<v Speaker 1>the street from me.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, oh yeah, I want to hang out with.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to say real people, but people that
<v Speaker 1>I could just I feel like I could relate to more.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe.
<v Speaker 1>So it's not that I don't have a lot of
<v Speaker 1>you know, I have celebrity friends. I certainly do a lot,
<v Speaker 1>and you know, we're very friendly, but I don't hang
<v Speaker 1>out with them all right, right right, you know it
<v Speaker 1>takes you know, it is because most time it takes
<v Speaker 1>a lot of energy because you're you still feel like
<v Speaker 1>you're on a little bit.
<v Speaker 2>You can't just turn only with with you. You know,

<v Speaker 2>Alan Oppenheimer, who we just very recently, great guy, he

<v Speaker 2>about this and that, and this has got to be
<v Speaker 2>twenty years ago, twenty five years ago, maybe thirty. And
<v Speaker 2>he said, he said, oh, kid, listen, let me tell
<v Speaker 2>you something. You got it, don't don't don't worry about
<v Speaker 2>the camera. How with the camera? This is good. You're
<v Speaker 2>you're making great bucks. You're you're pulling a serious coin
<v Speaker 2>in the world. He said. Yeah. And Sally Strathlos told
<v Speaker 2>me this too, good old sweet o't Sally, she said, oh, honey,
<v Speaker 2>I can't even go to the a MP. I can't
<v Speaker 2>go to Lucky. You know, at the time it was
<v Speaker 2>a grocery store. She said, I can't. You know, I'll
<v Speaker 2>have ten things on my grocery list and I'll get
<v Speaker 2>out two hours later. You're in and out in twenty minutes.
<v Speaker 2>Trust me, stay where you are.
<v Speaker 1>You know what that there is something to be saying
<v Speaker 1>because people will say something and I always well, they say, well,
<v Speaker 1>you're famous, you're a movie star.
<v Speaker 4>I'm like, no, I'm not.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you're a guy with a good job. In your mind.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's like I've done some work and people recognize me.
<v Speaker 2>But like, you know, I still I like my life.
<v Speaker 1>I like that I can go at places and sometimes
<v Speaker 1>like oh, yeah, come on in, Yeah, we'll get your table,
<v Speaker 1>and I like sometimes we're just you're walking through the
<v Speaker 1>mall looking for a pair of tennis shoes.
<v Speaker 4>He gives a shit, you know, and nobody recognize you.
<v Speaker 3>And it's such a blessing to be a working actor,
<v Speaker 3>you know. It's like, yeah, what ninety nine percent of
<v Speaker 3>actors are not working actors, you know, consistently working. And
<v Speaker 3>my dad always says that to me, like you're a
<v Speaker 3>working actor, Like that's all you have to worry about.
<v Speaker 3>You don't have to worry about being famous like this.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, because anybody, it feels like, could be famous.
<v Speaker 2>Now.
<v Speaker 3>On the last podcast, we were just talking about this
<v Speaker 3>with I forget his name, but anyway, it was just yeah,
<v Speaker 3>but I give the analogy of like being on a
<v Speaker 3>sports team. You know, people don't really know anybody apart
<v Speaker 3>from like Tom Brady's and Michael Jordan's and like the
<v Speaker 3>stars on the team. But you know, on an NFL team,
<v Speaker 3>there's sixty five people, you know, and we know what
<v Speaker 3>two or three of them maybe unless you're a die

<v Speaker 3>another fifty five people that you don't even know about.
<v Speaker 3>And the working working actors is the same way. You know,
<v Speaker 3>I know that face from someone, but I don't know where.
<v Speaker 3>But hey, I make a living doing this, you know.
<v Speaker 1>That's that's to me a well doing something you love
<v Speaker 1>exactly living at it. I mean, you're talking rare, you know.
<v Speaker 1>That's why I always say to people like, you know,
<v Speaker 1>let's say you're middle aged and you have a job
<v Speaker 1>and you don't really like it. Find something that you love,
<v Speaker 1>you know, find whatever. If you like doing art, well,
<v Speaker 1>I know who am I going to show?

<v Speaker 4>Do it for yourself, be fulfilled, do you.
<v Speaker 1>Know, find that purpose, find that whatever it is, because
<v Speaker 1>we all have it, so it's never ever too late
<v Speaker 1>to do that, it really is, you know, I try to.
<v Speaker 1>I'm terrible at art, like drawing the worst. And I
<v Speaker 1>can't even make three three dimensional box.
<v Speaker 2>That's how bad I am.
<v Speaker 1>And I just you know, but sometimes I'll have art
<v Speaker 1>night and all if people come over and everybody would
<v Speaker 1>just draw something doesn't matter, and for for an hour
<v Speaker 1>a couple hours, it just kind of makes puts me

<v Speaker 4>It's my meditation in a little that's nice. Yeah, I'm
<v Speaker 4>not worrying about being good.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not worrying about messing up. I'm just being and
<v Speaker 1>that I'm telling you that goes a long way.

<v Speaker 1>I meeting Ramen Noodles telemarketing down the street. I'm doing
<v Speaker 1>some off off like way the fuck off New Jersey Broadway.

<v Speaker 1>help you? Do? You know that for a heart attack,
<v Speaker 1>you have exactly eight minutes to live. Here's what we

<v Speaker 4>You ramen noodles. And they laugh and they go, why
<v Speaker 4>don't you come over? So that was it.
<v Speaker 1>A few days later, I had nothing to do. I
<v Speaker 1>called them back and I just I said, oh, Becky,
<v Speaker 1>I just want to say thanks for dinner. Then I
<v Speaker 1>really appreciate you. Goes, you know what, Michael hold on,
<v Speaker 1>I'm on the other line with my agent. Clicks back
<v Speaker 1>and goes, hey, want to meet them. They said they'd
<v Speaker 1>love to meet you. It just by a chance. And
<v Speaker 1>I went there and you know, the agent was like,
<v Speaker 1>do you have any copy or anything?
<v Speaker 4>And I go no, but I took you know, I
<v Speaker 4>could wing it for this that I don't know what
<v Speaker 4>copy is.
<v Speaker 1>Copy is is like you know, something to read, copy
<v Speaker 1>like to you know, show your voice because they were
<v Speaker 1>mostly voice acting.
<v Speaker 4>And I remember something I did for acting for the
<v Speaker 4>camera in college.
<v Speaker 1>It was a class I took, and it was a
<v Speaker 1>commercial I did as part of my final thing for
<v Speaker 1>the class. If you like yummy things like peach parthe
<v Speaker 1>come on live a little, have a cup of you
<v Speaker 1>ban for dessert, You ban the gorgeous coffee. Just think
<v Speaker 1>baking an extra breakfast and dessert, a nice sandwich for
<v Speaker 1>lunch and dessert. And I just went on and they
<v Speaker 1>were laughing and this, and then I gave it like
<v Speaker 1>an impression of like the Jaws trailer. I was like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it was like, uh, what was what was the trailer
<v Speaker 1>for Jaws?
<v Speaker 2>I'll give you the mes.
<v Speaker 1>It was like, no creature survived millions of years of
<v Speaker 1>evolution without change, without fear, without logic. It is as
<v Speaker 1>though God created the devil and gave him Joel's see
<v Speaker 1>it before you go swimming. And then I just had
<v Speaker 1>them in upon my hand. They go, oh, we're going
<v Speaker 1>to send you out. No experience in voiceover. So they
<v Speaker 1>just started sending me out. And it really wasn't until
<v Speaker 1>I moved to LA and my agent voiceover agent goes,
<v Speaker 1>they just called with a cancelation, can you run in
<v Speaker 1>and do an episode of Batman? Just as like it's
<v Speaker 1>like five lines, I recommended you let me think, Andrea Romano, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>And I went in there and I did it, and
<v Speaker 1>from there on, she would call me for stuff.
<v Speaker 4>She goes come in an audition for the Flash and
<v Speaker 4>went in.
<v Speaker 1>I got it, And I just started doing the lot
<v Speaker 1>of voice work and the video games. And I'm not
<v Speaker 1>near where you are, but like I was, I was working,
<v Speaker 1>and you know, I just started doing guest stars for
<v Speaker 1>you know, Rocket Power.
<v Speaker 4>There's so many. I mean, but yes, the thorn, Thornberry's.
<v Speaker 2>Thorn barrier, Wow, Yes, the Wow. What else?
<v Speaker 1>Lollipop pop hearans guns, lollipop chainsaw.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, but I just you know, I.

<v Speaker 1>No, we were friends. That's why I got it. You

<v Speaker 1>that if if you look, if someone's a close friend
<v Speaker 1>and you're able to give them work, he should, It's not.

<v Speaker 1>Yeah I did that. I directed this little movie. It's independent,
<v Speaker 1>uh comedy, raunchy comedy. I just love it and I
<v Speaker 1>made it for like six hundred thousand, but I flew
<v Speaker 1>some of my friends out for it to play little
<v Speaker 1>parts and things like that, you know, asked my friend.
<v Speaker 4>To play a big part.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, of course, yeah, whenever I could do something,
<v Speaker 1>if someone's right for it and they're my friend, you're in.
<v Speaker 4>If I know your abilities. Now, if I know they're
<v Speaker 4>not that good, I'm not going. You're just not right

<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, yeah, somebody who can act.

<v Speaker 1>He loved it, and but the script was already sent
<v Speaker 1>out and got some passes. So he's like, yeah, we

<v Speaker 1>minute pitch of this show, this idea that I had
<v Speaker 1>based on a true story, and he goes, sold, that's

<v Speaker 1>a showrunner and now we'reck to a big actress and
<v Speaker 1>once those once these things sort of have you know,
<v Speaker 1>we're we're we're getting close.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's yeah.

<v Speaker 1>I also have a hockey show that I wrote and
<v Speaker 1>I'm really excited about that.

<v Speaker 1>the Fires to raise money and I was on the
<v Speaker 1>line with Mark Messi. I don't know if you guys care,

<v Speaker 1>I one time at top corner and it was on TV,

<v Speaker 1>the morning, so I was there and then afterwards half
<v Speaker 1>an hour to c up.

<v Speaker 3>by transport, driven to set, hair makeup.
<v Speaker 4>How are responsible so much? How do people like that work?
