<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, welcome to Game Mess Mornings with Me Jeff Grub, <v Speaker 1>your host from giant bomb dot com. Thank you for <v Speaker 1>tuning in. In this episode, we're going to be talking <v Speaker 1>about what happened at the Game Awards. It's gonna be <v Speaker 1>a good one because we have John Martin on the show. John, <v Speaker 1>how are you doing doing well? <v Speaker 2>How are you doing? <v Speaker 3>Jeff? And I have clearly died. <v Speaker 1>This is my camera just went black and white this morning, <v Speaker 1>and I did figure out to fix it, but we all, <v Speaker 1>for the three of us, grew attached to it. So <v Speaker 1>we're just going with it and am memoriam to me. <v Speaker 1>I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. <v Speaker 4>You worked really hard yesterday, so it kind of just <v Speaker 4>makes sense that this is the outcome of all that <v Speaker 4>it was. <v Speaker 3>It was fun. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, Well, as soon as we got done with the <v Speaker 1>Game Awards, then we recorded another podcast, me and Mike <v Speaker 1>and so yeah, we was working till like twelve thirty <v Speaker 1>last night. It was a good time though. We I think, <v Speaker 1>you know, again, put it go into the Game Awards <v Speaker 1>with expectations kind of checked appropriately for how you know, <v Speaker 1>reverent towards the industry. It's going to be and also <v Speaker 1>know that all of the rumors you're hearing, all of <v Speaker 1>them could be wrong. <v Speaker 3>Many of them were. <v Speaker 1>A lot of the stuff was was accurate, though, and <v Speaker 1>it was like cool to see stuff like Control Resident <v Speaker 1>and a bunch of other things where it's like, Okay, <v Speaker 1>we've been hearing about this for a minute. Now here <v Speaker 1>it is no Half Life three though. Were you deeply disappointed? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, because that was one of the ways I could <v Speaker 4>have gotten bingo last night and in the sure three shots, <v Speaker 4>so that was not great. <v Speaker 3>Not fun. Yeah, I missed. I missed my bingo. We <v Speaker 3>all did. <v Speaker 1>Apparently no one got being over. There's my card, everybody, <v Speaker 1>let's see. Kind of got a couple that were nearly <v Speaker 1>nearly there. It was yeah, two away in a bunch <v Speaker 1>of different directions. But we Yeah, we had a good time. <v Speaker 1>It was a lot of fun. And then you know <v Speaker 1>Claire Obscure Expedition thirty three Cleaned House. It won every <v Speaker 1>category was in except for one Audio Design where it <v Speaker 1>was beaten by Battlefield six. Yeah. I overall I enjoyed myself. <v Speaker 3>How about you? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 4>I thought it was a pretty good game Awards. It <v Speaker 4>wasn't the most mind blowing games. A lot of the <v Speaker 4>stuff that was big and talked about. Not a lot <v Speaker 4>was there, but what was there got me really excited <v Speaker 4>for twenty twenty six. A lot of games kind of <v Speaker 4>coming out of nowhere. Things we thought we knew, we <v Speaker 4>didn't actually know. I blacked out. I think they announced <v Speaker 4>a new Mega Man game that was that was wild, <v Speaker 4>and I don't know. I mean, we're gonna talk about <v Speaker 4>all these games, but yeah, next year is looking maybe <v Speaker 4>not as busy, but there is a lot to look <v Speaker 4>forward to, even in just the first six months of <v Speaker 4>next year. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and that's gonna be the bulk of the show. <v Speaker 1>We're gonna go over what happened at the Game Awards, <v Speaker 1>all the announcements, all the trailers, all that stuff, and <v Speaker 1>however long that takes, it'll take. <v Speaker 3>But yeah, let's let's get into it. <v Speaker 1>So that means we've got to say we're gonna explain <v Speaker 1>ourselves or Giant Bomb. We're independent video game media out <v Speaker 1>here on our own, but we have at our backs <v Speaker 1>because many of you have gone to giant bomb dot com, <v Speaker 1>slash join and became premium members. And what that does <v Speaker 1>is it ensures we can keep doing what we do <v Speaker 1>over here. It ensures a future for independent games media. <v Speaker 1>We all have to kind of step up to get <v Speaker 1>more of the stuff that we want as opposed to <v Speaker 1>the things that get shoved down our throat by corporations <v Speaker 1>because it is the most efficient makes them the most money. <v Speaker 1>You have an alternative, and you guys know that by <v Speaker 1>showing up the giant bomb. <v Speaker 3>Dot com slash Join. <v Speaker 1>As far as this show goes most weekdays, I Jeff Grubb, <v Speaker 1>will help you s your gaming life back together. That <v Speaker 1>includes breaking news and maybe even some of our own <v Speaker 1>original reporting. For all these topics, I'll get the input <v Speaker 1>of a bona fide expert who will make me look smart. <v Speaker 3>You are watching live on Twitch Welcome. <v Speaker 1>You can always listen to the show later on podcast <v Speaker 1>feeds by searching for Games Mornings, or find the RSS <v Speaker 1>feed on giant bomb dot com. <v Speaker 3>Did I put an extrass in there? I might have <v Speaker 3>done three s's. <v Speaker 1>You can also catch the show later with chapters and <v Speaker 1>timestamps on YouTube. <v Speaker 3>Hello YouTube. <v Speaker 1>All right, we have a lot to get into, so <v Speaker 1>let's start the morning mess with the game awards happened, <v Speaker 1>and then before they happened, there was stuff that seemed <v Speaker 1>kind of related, So let's touch on those stories. First, <v Speaker 1>South of Midnight is coming to PlayStation five switched to <v Speaker 1>in spring twenty twenty six. That's something they actually did <v Speaker 1>also announced during the show when they won an award, <v Speaker 1>which is one of my like it's a really dumb thing, <v Speaker 1>something that would not happen at any other kind of <v Speaker 1>award show. I like that video games are just blatantly like, <v Speaker 1>we know we're in a commercial. Let's just use our <v Speaker 1>award to also sell more of our game. So it's <v Speaker 1>coming to other platforms. But they announced this beforehand, and yeah, <v Speaker 1>that game came out in what like March April, so <v Speaker 1>I expect like as soon as the one year calendar <v Speaker 1>thing is up, we'll just see it on PlayStation five <v Speaker 1>and switch to any interest in South of Midnight. <v Speaker 3>Did you check it out when it was on game <v Speaker 3>Pass or whatever? <v Speaker 4>No, this year was crazy. It just slipped through the cracks. <v Speaker 4>It definitely seems like a voice I really want to hear. <v Speaker 4>The combat looks crazy, is like some senile turtle or something. <v Speaker 4>That's like pretty much what I can remember. But yeah, <v Speaker 4>I mean having more places, more opportunities to play it <v Speaker 4>might get me in there. I know a lot of <v Speaker 4>people liked that game, but it just there was too much. <v Speaker 4>There's too much now. I'm still trying to catch up <v Speaker 4>on games, but yeah, this is definitely something I want <v Speaker 4>to check out to kind of form my own opinion <v Speaker 4>on Did You Lose? <v Speaker 1>I started it, and I didn't get too far into it, <v Speaker 1>but I was like, Okay, immediately I kind of see <v Speaker 1>what people are saying that the vibes are really good <v Speaker 1>in terms of establishing a setting that is not typical <v Speaker 1>for video games the American South and doing a good <v Speaker 1>job of representing that. It really does, and it stylizes <v Speaker 1>it in a very fascinating way. Something that I thought <v Speaker 1>was like, Okay, this sort of heightens all the cool <v Speaker 1>things about this setting. And then the gameplay, primarily primarily <v Speaker 1>the combat very sort of I don't almost say, like <v Speaker 1>by the numbers, it's PS two, not necessarily in a <v Speaker 1>negative way, but not necessarily in a post positive way. <v Speaker 1>It's like it's just from another time and it's a <v Speaker 1>bit simple. I think it's kind of what I was <v Speaker 1>getting from it, But it's probably still worth playing just <v Speaker 1>if you want to have a kind of the kind <v Speaker 1>of or play a game that feels different. It will <v Speaker 1>feel different just because of that setting, but that wasn't <v Speaker 1>the only Xbox thing. They also said there's going to <v Speaker 1>be a developer direct showcase in January. Matt Boody talked <v Speaker 1>to Variety and he confirmed this. He says there's going <v Speaker 1>to be a lot of things there, including Playground Games, <v Speaker 1>will be involved in the event, and it's Notable because <v Speaker 1>Playground Games. We do know they're making Forts Horizon six, <v Speaker 1>which was confirmed at Tokyo Game Show last year. They're <v Speaker 1>also making Fable. They just showed us some Forts Horizon <v Speaker 1>six stuff at Tokyo Game Show a few months. <v Speaker 3>Ago, like a few weeks ago, maybe a few months. <v Speaker 1>Ago, and they could be ready to talk about Fable <v Speaker 1>in this thing, or maybe even both. <v Speaker 3>I don't know. <v Speaker 1>It sounds like they're kind of saying that the studio <v Speaker 1>could be busy. But if we don't, if we don't <v Speaker 1>hear about Fable here, my expectation, John is we might <v Speaker 1>not even hear about it throughout all of next year either. <v Speaker 4>What do you think, Yeah, I mean, to the credit <v Speaker 4>of Xbox, I honestly do think it will show up <v Speaker 4>next year, but probably targeting that's Spring twenty twenty seven. <v Speaker 4>If we don't get it here, I don't know how <v Speaker 4>kind of closely linked the two teams are working on <v Speaker 4>for As a Horizon in Fable. Fable seems like it's <v Speaker 4>going to be way more of an ordeal for As <v Speaker 4>the Horizon is going to be another one of the <v Speaker 4>most gorgeous, fun arkadie racer games to play. That's something <v Speaker 4>I can definitely see launching in twenty twenty six. But <v Speaker 4>I mean, if they don't have like a big Halo <v Speaker 4>project beyond the remake, Fable would be an excellent way <v Speaker 4>to close that year. It was kind of surprising that <v Speaker 4>we didn't get a tease in that weird Janitor commercial <v Speaker 4>kind of deal, but I I'm kind of interested to <v Speaker 4>see what it looks like. At this point, we got <v Speaker 4>like a couple tastes of it, like a slice of <v Speaker 4>the pie kind of situation, getting the humorous tone of <v Speaker 4>this one, but not really much in the way of gameplay. <v Speaker 4>I think it was at one Xbox showcase. But yeah, <v Speaker 4>I'm much more thinking thinking that for us, this probably <v Speaker 4>a lot more likely and probably a lot further along. <v Speaker 1>Yeah's that's the feeling I get as well. Forts Rice <v Speaker 1>and six continues to be like actually a highly anticipated <v Speaker 1>game for me. I really liked five, one of the <v Speaker 1>best sort of I just need to play something right <v Speaker 1>now video games ever made, and it really does facilitate <v Speaker 1>that that purpose. All right, let's get into the Game <v Speaker 1>Awards proper now, although by that I guess I still <v Speaker 1>mean the pre show, and I believe that either well, <v Speaker 1>you know what, actually it's gonna bats around. I took <v Speaker 1>this list from let's see, I think it was IGN <v Speaker 1>or maybe yeah, it was IGN's list of everything announced. <v Speaker 1>So shout outs to them for collecting all this and <v Speaker 1>they are kind of putting it in somewhat of an order, <v Speaker 1>their order of importance. <v Speaker 3>So let's start with the biggest one for me. <v Speaker 1>Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic is a single <v Speaker 1>player game from Casey Hudson, directed by here's some details. <v Speaker 1>It's directed by Casey Hudson, who was the director of <v Speaker 1>Kotor and The Mass Effect Games. <v Speaker 3>It is a new. <v Speaker 1>Single player, narrative driven action RPG set in the Old <v Speaker 1>Republic era. It's developed by Arconaut Studios. It's a spiritual <v Speaker 1>successor to Kotor and yeah, they're working with Lucasfilm Games. <v Speaker 1>Like Lucasfilm Games is publishing this with Arconaut who is <v Speaker 1>that is Casey Hudson's new studio. We didn't get like <v Speaker 1>a date or anything like that. There's no time frame here. <v Speaker 1>It's They do say on star wars dot Com that <v Speaker 1>it is very early on that they are still kind <v Speaker 1>of figuring this game out, so we're probably several years away. <v Speaker 1>But they did emphasize yes, this is a Casey Hudson game. <v Speaker 1>The person who led Knights of the Old Republic is <v Speaker 1>back and doing this thing, but it's not a direct sequel. Instead, <v Speaker 1>it's a spiritually aligned with Coetor's tradition of cinematic choice <v Speaker 1>driven RPGs, but it will be built sort of to <v Speaker 1>live up to that legacy. They did give visions and <v Speaker 1>goals focus on player agency, narrative depth and immersive world building, <v Speaker 1>emphasis on creative clarity, team alignment, and ambitious scope. <v Speaker 3>I got like a lot of that could be like <v Speaker 3>word soup. <v Speaker 1>John like that that right there, like just kind of that, <v Speaker 1>But for some reason it's like, actually, those are I <v Speaker 1>think pretty good descriptors of what I would want from <v Speaker 1>something that's following up Kodetru. <v Speaker 3>Where are you at with this? <v Speaker 1>Like seeing that, were you excited kind of thinking more <v Speaker 1>about what this could be. <v Speaker 3>Are you excited? I think I certainly am. How about you? Yeah? <v Speaker 4>No, I mean this was announcement that like it's all <v Speaker 4>in the details. Like obviously, like Star Wars has a <v Speaker 4>billion different games, but not a lot have the legacy <v Speaker 4>of koetor not a lot really have the pedigree that <v Speaker 4>a Casey Hudson actually had. <v Speaker 2>So as we're going through that trailer, like there was <v Speaker 2>more and more. <v Speaker 4>Stuff coming out, this is kind of exactly what I <v Speaker 4>want from a Star Wars game. And like, granted, the <v Speaker 4>Old Republic is like you could go hundreds of thousands <v Speaker 4>of years back and you're still technically in there. <v Speaker 2>I think. <v Speaker 4>So this is the big kind of choice adventure game <v Speaker 4>in Star Wars that I've always really wanted since Kotor <v Speaker 4>one in two way back in the day. There LucasArts <v Speaker 4>is very or is it Lucasfilm game? Sorry I just <v Speaker 4>default to LucasArts. <v Speaker 1>Well everyone knows what you mean, and I think, god, <v Speaker 1>we all would prefer it to be LucasArts, but yeah, <v Speaker 1>it's Lucasflone Games. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I mean, this is something that is incredibly exciting, <v Speaker 4>like actually getting something on the par of a mass <v Speaker 4>effect on par with a koeur. Granted we haven't seen <v Speaker 4>the game yet, but it is checking all the right <v Speaker 4>boxes and I don't even know where. <v Speaker 2>This story could go. It's I'm the most exciting outcome. <v Speaker 3>It's okay, So it's. <v Speaker 1>Worth pointing out some timeline stuff here. Hudson co founded <v Speaker 1>Arconaut Studios in twenty twenty five, enabling the collaboration. So <v Speaker 1>this calendar year he started the studio, So that lets <v Speaker 1>you tell us a couple of things. It is very <v Speaker 1>early on, and if we were to like do the <v Speaker 1>thing we do on a show like this, which is <v Speaker 1>try to draw lines between two events in a way <v Speaker 1>that's way too clean for reality. But if we were <v Speaker 1>to do that, because I want to do that, Mike <v Speaker 1>pointed out last night that like, hey, maybe this is <v Speaker 1>the kind of thing that happens. <v Speaker 3>Because Balder'sgate three did so well. <v Speaker 1>And Casey Hutson go, oh, we have a legacy of <v Speaker 1>doing things like that. We've worked on Balder's Gate games. <v Speaker 1>We have many people here who have or worked on <v Speaker 1>games like that. What if we went back to Knightsville <v Speaker 1>of the Old Republic and did it in that style <v Speaker 1>and did what knights Still Republic originally did would just <v Speaker 1>take a D and D rules set and apply it <v Speaker 1>to Star Wars to do that again. So I guess <v Speaker 1>what I'm getting at here is if that's the line <v Speaker 1>I'm drawing, and I'm placing that in front of you, <v Speaker 1>and we're saying, well, maybe because it's going to be <v Speaker 1>so intricate and a deeper RPG, it doesn't need to <v Speaker 1>be or they won't have the budget to make it <v Speaker 1>like a big like Final Fantasy sixteen. Oh, it's all <v Speaker 1>the money in the world is on the screen sort <v Speaker 1>of graphical style. What if it was like a pair <v Speaker 1>down a little bit but similar to Balderskate three, would <v Speaker 1>that still be something you would be down for? <v Speaker 3>No? <v Speaker 4>Absolutely, Like I mean I think of like to the <v Speaker 4>outer worlds, Like if we get a small collection of <v Speaker 4>planets that we can score, like explore, hav a tight <v Speaker 4>interconnected story, we're forging relationships, and we're you know, just <v Speaker 4>being able to like kid out our Jedi however we want. <v Speaker 4>I mean, that's that's all you can really ask for. <v Speaker 4>I just want cool, weird characters. I need I need <v Speaker 4>more Babu fricks and less snokes. <v Speaker 1>You know, yes, get give me all the freaks, get <v Speaker 1>just I mean, the Knights of the Old Republic games <v Speaker 1>are not cannon anymore. <v Speaker 3>So just take all the best parts of those. <v Speaker 1>Games, and you know, in some areas reimagine them, and <v Speaker 1>some in some areas just copy and paste HK forty <v Speaker 1>seven and give us exactly that. Again, like you have <v Speaker 1>really a lot of opportunities here to do a lot <v Speaker 1>of fun stuff and kind of keep the best parts <v Speaker 1>of those games. <v Speaker 3>And I hope they will will. <v Speaker 4>Revin revealed himself, that's the question, because they could make <v Speaker 4>him canon. This is the way you could fit him <v Speaker 4>in with that timeline. <v Speaker 3>It's it's possible. <v Speaker 1>And but you know, also, like you said, that's the <v Speaker 1>Old Republic era is so large. If they want to <v Speaker 1>tell a holy new story, they can move a few decades, <v Speaker 1>a few hundred years in a different direction and have <v Speaker 1>a complete clean slate. All right, let's see here this <v Speaker 1>here's his clare obscure, one Game of the Year and <v Speaker 1>a bunch of other stuff. But it also announced DLC. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>they're they're, they're. They called their shot here a little bit, <v Speaker 1>which I think fair. Everyone knew they were going to win. <v Speaker 1>They did win, but they they were on stage all <v Speaker 1>night for all these other awards, and then they did <v Speaker 1>not announce their DLC like the first time they won. <v Speaker 1>They saved it for winning Game of the Year, which hey, ballsy, <v Speaker 1>yeah I respect it. But yeah, they they it's out now, <v Speaker 1>right they released this thing right away? <v Speaker 3>Is that what happened? I can't. <v Speaker 1>I was kind of like, oh yeah, I kind of <v Speaker 1>heard something that might be happening here, but I wasn't <v Speaker 1>sure on the timeline. <v Speaker 2>Gets out out. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, it's at Yeah. <v Speaker 1>I'm being gorimaged right now myself, as people can see. <v Speaker 3>So ill. <v Speaker 1>I'm still playing this. Actually, this is the one I'm <v Speaker 1>really trying to finish before Game of the Year. I'll <v Speaker 1>see how this DLC fits in. We have you heard <v Speaker 1>about this at all? Has anyone played any of this? Like, <v Speaker 1>have you heard any early word. <v Speaker 2>On this on the DLC? <v Speaker 3>On the DLC. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, all I know is I'm probably gonna spend like <v Speaker 4>seven to eight hours playing it because I'm assuming it's <v Speaker 4>post end game of the original game content. But yeah, <v Speaker 4>like Dungeon, new Bosses, new enemies, new encounters, new outfits. <v Speaker 4>Outfits is especially interesting because they have a phenomenal awardrobe <v Speaker 4>for every single character. I was a little sad that <v Speaker 4>there was no bag at at the actual awards itself. <v Speaker 4>But I did love just like the entire team being <v Speaker 4>dressed up in the mind where. But yeah, I mean <v Speaker 4>this is kind of how you do a mic drop <v Speaker 4>at the Game Awards. Like I have no idea what <v Speaker 4>the fallback plan was going to be. If like coders <v Speaker 4>find it and it's like, oh, there's this update that's <v Speaker 4>just ready to go, I wonder what it's for. But yeah, <v Speaker 4>I think it was in a way like everyone kind <v Speaker 4>of expected it to win Game of the Year. It's <v Speaker 4>entirely you know, justified that game is phenomenal, and them <v Speaker 4>just adding new free. <v Speaker 2>DLC is incredible. <v Speaker 4>I don't remember if Astrobot did the same thing last year, <v Speaker 4>like if they talked about, hey, we have for stuff <v Speaker 4>on the. <v Speaker 3>Way, I think they did. Yes, Yeah, I think they did. <v Speaker 4>I if they just want to treat us like thank <v Speaker 4>you so much, give us free content for all like <v Speaker 4>godies in the future, I would one hundred percent be <v Speaker 4>down for that. <v Speaker 2>Give me more reason to return to that game. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, and they and they did steal our gammick of <v Speaker 1>having their baguettes with them all the time, and it's like, no, <v Speaker 1>the long bread roll things is one percent giant bomb. <v Speaker 3>That's trademark. Get off our turf. <v Speaker 2>From last year, right exactly? <v Speaker 1>Yes, Uh, that statue was Divinity, as we were talking <v Speaker 1>about at one point this week, cannot altered Beast to <v Speaker 1>everyone's shame and chagrin. <v Speaker 3>Instead it was Divinity. Uh. <v Speaker 1>They showed a trailer for their new game called Divinity, <v Speaker 1>which you know they've had Divinities, Divinity Original Send one <v Speaker 1>and two, there's other Divinity games, never a game just <v Speaker 1>called Divinity. This feels like an opportunity to go back <v Speaker 1>to that world while also setting up like what feels <v Speaker 1>like a clean slate of like this is a new <v Speaker 1>entry point. <v Speaker 3>They showed the trailer. It was. It was gruesome. I <v Speaker 3>don't think I don't mind that it was violent. <v Speaker 1>It was just like, oh man, that's just a lot <v Speaker 1>of flesh eating a lot of gore to start off <v Speaker 1>the show. But like I said, in context, I'm gonna <v Speaker 1>that'll be completely fine. <v Speaker 3>It won't phase me at all. <v Speaker 1>Just in that one context of an awards show where <v Speaker 1>everyone's kind of sitting down being fancy, it was a <v Speaker 1>little weird. No one cares about this the game itself, though, <v Speaker 1>I'm excited to see them go back to this. This <v Speaker 1>also feels like one where it's probably a ways a way, <v Speaker 1>but maybe a little bit less so because this is <v Speaker 1>a studio Larion that always puts their stuff out into <v Speaker 1>early access, So we could be playing it one way <v Speaker 1>or another not too long from now, and I'm looking <v Speaker 1>forward to it. I actually played quite a bit of <v Speaker 1>Original Sin too, and really enjoyed it. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, no, absolutely, Like I played a lot of Original <v Speaker 4>Sin before I even got my hands and bothered the three. <v Speaker 4>It was like kind of in the hype cycle of that, <v Speaker 4>and like, granted, this is maybe the squallchiest trailer I've <v Speaker 4>seen for a video game all year, Like it was <v Speaker 4>kind of gross, but I know I'm going to be <v Speaker 4>their day one regardless. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't know about you. <v Speaker 4>I feel like we kind of could see early access <v Speaker 4>launching in like two to three years, maybe even here, yeah, <v Speaker 4>or see gameplay like not a Summer games Fest that <v Speaker 4>feels a little early, but like next year's game awards <v Speaker 4>are like next year Summer game or twenty twenty seven <v Speaker 4>Summer games Fest. I think Original Sin two was like <v Speaker 4>like four years before, like early access of walters Kate three, <v Speaker 4>So all they needed to do was show a logo <v Speaker 4>for Hilarian and that would have been big enough bop. <v Speaker 4>So it's it's interesting to see the trajectory they're going <v Speaker 4>in seeing and get a little bit more weirdly satanic <v Speaker 4>and stuff with Yeah. <v Speaker 1>Well, I would never stand in their way of doing that. <v Speaker 1>They should go more satanic at every possible opportunity. Capcom <v Speaker 1>finally confirms another thing that I think everyone was like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>we get it's gonna happen. <v Speaker 3>Leon S. <v Speaker 1>Kennedy will be in Resident Evil requiem. He's confirmed to <v Speaker 1>be a playable character, and they're doing the thing that <v Speaker 1>I think everyone also assumed. The hunt here was Grace Ashcroft, <v Speaker 1>the other character I believe that's her name. She's gonna <v Speaker 1>be the one that has to sort of like run <v Speaker 1>and it's frightened. It is the scarier gameplay, and then <v Speaker 1>when you're in control control of Leon S. <v Speaker 3>Kennedy, you're gonna be kicking ass. <v Speaker 1>He literally gets a chainsaw and starts chopping up people <v Speaker 1>himself to get revenge. <v Speaker 3>Resident Evil four. <v Speaker 1>I think you know this is stuff they've tried in <v Speaker 1>the past, but now they seem to have the chops <v Speaker 1>looking at it. This looks very confident, and I'm I'm <v Speaker 1>I think it could. They could really pull this off. <v Speaker 1>How are you feeling about it? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, this seems like it is they've learned every single <v Speaker 4>lesson they could from Resident Evil six, and they know <v Speaker 4>how to balance Leon and actually use him in an <v Speaker 4>interesting way. <v Speaker 2>I think we all kind of felt it. <v Speaker 4>Maybe people were an easy when they were like, well, <v Speaker 4>we couldn't have Leon be scared in like a Resident <v Speaker 4>Evil game, So this is a really good compromise. I'm <v Speaker 4>very curious to see how those paths crossed, if it <v Speaker 4>is a situation where like it's two kind of campaigns, <v Speaker 4>or if it is interwoven, if it was like PS <v Speaker 4>one Resident Evil two and it's like, well, there's four <v Speaker 4>different playthroughs. <v Speaker 2>You could do. <v Speaker 4>Granted, at this point, it's just like I don't know <v Speaker 4>how many big changes you can make. <v Speaker 2>And I'm gonna be happy to play as Leon. I'm <v Speaker 2>gonna be happy to play his grace. That game is just. <v Speaker 4>Looking to be phenomenal, and it's it's so early next <v Speaker 4>year too, It's like I feel like we don't get <v Speaker 4>a break in between years. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm kind of like wonder what I would prefer <v Speaker 1>what I prefer it to be the PS one style. <v Speaker 1>Pick your campaign either Leon Kennedy or Grace Ashcroft, or <v Speaker 1>if I would want it to intertwine and kind of <v Speaker 1>bounce back and forth between the characters. I think I <v Speaker 1>would want it to intertwine. But that's me as someone <v Speaker 1>who's probably gonna play the game once. For people who <v Speaker 1>are going to play it over and over again, maybe <v Speaker 1>you do want to select. <v Speaker 3>I don't know, we'll see either way. I'm gonna be <v Speaker 3>excited about it. <v Speaker 1>Tomb Raider Catalyst was announced for twenty twenty seven tomb <v Speaker 1>Raider one reimagining called leg Or Legacy of Atlantis. This <v Speaker 1>is a whole new remake that is out next year <v Speaker 1>in twenty twenty six. And I thought both these games <v Speaker 1>looked pretty good. I think the tomb Raider one remake, <v Speaker 1>the newest remake, looks a little bit better in my opinion. <v Speaker 1>But you know, we'll see more Catalysts later and see <v Speaker 1>how that comes together. I think the biggest thing for <v Speaker 1>me is, Yeah, where do you go with tomb. <v Speaker 3>Raider right now? <v Speaker 1>You kind of went the gritty reboot route already for <v Speaker 1>three games. You sort have to go in a different direction, <v Speaker 1>and I'm not surprised that they oscillated back towards let's <v Speaker 1>kind of go with the original vibes, let's bring back <v Speaker 1>the dinosaurs, let's go remake the first game again. Tomb <v Speaker 1>Raider Anniversary came out in like two thousand and seven, <v Speaker 1>eight something like that. Yeah, so god, that was like <v Speaker 1>around ten years after the first game came out. <v Speaker 3>Now we're much further from that than we are. <v Speaker 1>Either way, they like remade that game, made it modern <v Speaker 1>for that time, but it was still like mostly that <v Speaker 1>that that game in a lot of ways. <v Speaker 3>I guess. <v Speaker 1>Really, what I'm just saying is this looks like the <v Speaker 1>Resident Evil style reimagining of tomb Raiders. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Absolutely, And then. <v Speaker 1>I think they did a decent job of modernizing the character. <v Speaker 1>I think both characters, the one Catalyst and in Legacy Atlantis, <v Speaker 1>have a little bit of the AI beautification filter face, <v Speaker 1>but it's it's worse than Catalysts and not so egregious <v Speaker 1>in a Legacy of Atlantis. Either way, You tomb Raider guy, <v Speaker 1>how'd you feel about these games? <v Speaker 4>I don't like a tumb Raider controls in the original games. <v Speaker 4>I did like I think I kind of didn't really <v Speaker 4>gel with the third of the reboot trilogy, so I <v Speaker 4>don't think I ever actually finished that, But I mean, <v Speaker 4>I love tum Raider as a concept. <v Speaker 2>I love Lauracraft. This seems pretty interesting. <v Speaker 4>It's definitely like, like you said, yeah, like it's like <v Speaker 4>Resident Evil or Silent Hill, like we do the remake <v Speaker 4>kind of establish hey, we kind of know what we're doing, <v Speaker 4>and then just blow it out of the water with <v Speaker 4>that next original game. <v Speaker 3>This is the strategy right now? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, yeah, and just having I'm very excited to more <v Speaker 4>so feel the controls of a Legacy of Atlantis. That's <v Speaker 4>going to be a big dictator of Am I going <v Speaker 4>to give Catalyst a shot right off the jump? Am <v Speaker 4>I going to be immediately excited for this or is <v Speaker 4>it going to be like too much tum Raider too fast? <v Speaker 4>Kind of remains to be seen. But I mean everything <v Speaker 4>that A Legacy of Atlantis showed off seems really cool <v Speaker 4>to me. I wasn't expecting to get as interested in <v Speaker 4>it as I was, so yeah, definitely caught my attention. <v Speaker 4>I love the dinosaurs are back. <v Speaker 3>That's yeah. <v Speaker 4>That was probably the biggest thing to get me to <v Speaker 4>pop off a little. They're like Oh I remember that. Yeah, <v Speaker 4>that's sweet. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, and that the fact that they're proud that, like <v Speaker 1>they showed off the dinosaurs, So that tells me something <v Speaker 1>of like, oh, they're going back that to the fun <v Speaker 1>route for tomb Raider and not that I you know that. <v Speaker 1>I didn't think tomb Raider twenty thirteen or whatever it <v Speaker 1>was wasn't fun, but. <v Speaker 3>People know what I mean. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, Well we'll get legacy of atlandis in twenty twenty six. <v Speaker 3>I'll give it a real chance. <v Speaker 1>And I'm yeah, I'm excited, and that was never a <v Speaker 1>huge tomb Raider guy. <v Speaker 3>But I also don't have anything against the games. <v Speaker 1>Control Resonant was announced by Remedy and that's got a <v Speaker 1>twenty twenty six release. This is a follow up to Control. <v Speaker 1>I think it's Controlled too, although I wouldn't be surprised <v Speaker 1>one day if they did a Control two to go <v Speaker 1>back to like Jesse Faden's story, that's the big hot <v Speaker 1>headline here. You're not playing as Jesse Faden. You're playing <v Speaker 1>as Dylan, her brother, who instead of using the service <v Speaker 1>weapon that Jesse Faden has, he's got a transforming melee weapon. <v Speaker 1>And it looked much more like a character action game, <v Speaker 1>a stylish action game, which I thought, like, just you know, <v Speaker 1>glancing to the combat, you get a pretty good sense <v Speaker 1>of what it's going to be like. You know, I'm <v Speaker 1>often wrong about that too, but I'll say it looked <v Speaker 1>good to me when like what was happening on the <v Speaker 1>screen in terms of the action. <v Speaker 3>How do you feel about it this? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, this is definitely one of the best games they <v Speaker 4>showed yesterday. I'm a big control fan. I granted still <v Speaker 4>need to play through all the Alan wake To stuff <v Speaker 4>to get to this point, but yeah, they I mean <v Speaker 4>they they had that like Misfire Break earlier this year, <v Speaker 4>and like I didn't question it for a second that <v Speaker 4>we were going to get a controlled to an incredible game. <v Speaker 4>Everyone should go out and play it. There's not a <v Speaker 4>lot of games that feel as tight as Control and yeah, <v Speaker 4>I like, quite. <v Speaker 2>Literally, the sky is the limit. <v Speaker 4>I have no idea how Dylan is getting that high <v Speaker 4>in the air too, combo people. The amount of stances <v Speaker 4>he might have looks like he has like heavy hammer, <v Speaker 4>he has quick Melee. I don't know this brain. This <v Speaker 4>game is going to break my brain and I'm going <v Speaker 4>to be so happy to have that happen. <v Speaker 2>Very very excited for this, and it's very soon. <v Speaker 4>I would have assumed that's a twenty twenty seventh thing, <v Speaker 4>especially after fire Break. <v Speaker 1>Yep, that's that still just seems to work like they're <v Speaker 1>busy little bees over there, constantly buzz away making a <v Speaker 1>ton of stuff. I've stated it on on our talkover, <v Speaker 1>I'll re. <v Speaker 3>Emphasize it here. <v Speaker 1>I think this is the one that really kind of <v Speaker 1>helps remedy break back in break Out of like with <v Speaker 1>a game that just succeeds on every level commercially and critically, <v Speaker 1>they've you know, Control I think probably did really well. <v Speaker 1>I think this is going to do much better and <v Speaker 1>it won't have the sort of anchor around its neck <v Speaker 1>that was alan Wick two not ever launching on Steam. <v Speaker 1>It's still not on Steam that it did seem to <v Speaker 1>negatively hurt that game. <v Speaker 4>That's good toe, so it is coming to Steam. That <v Speaker 4>is gas to hear. <v Speaker 1>Yes, So the epic published Allan Wake two epic is <v Speaker 1>not involved in any of this stuff. So yes, Control <v Speaker 1>is kind I think I think remedies publishing it themselves. <v Speaker 3>I think that's right. <v Speaker 1>Okay, let's take a break. There's a lot more to <v Speaker 1>get to from the game. Awards effect. When we get back, <v Speaker 1>we'll start hitting some of these other smaller stories at <v Speaker 1>a little bit more of a rapid pace, although we'll <v Speaker 1>still talk about the big stuff. <v Speaker 3>Don't worry about that. <v Speaker 1>If you want to skip out on the ad we're <v Speaker 1>about to get to, go to gimebomb dot com, slash Join, <v Speaker 1>become a premium member. There's ad free versions of the <v Speaker 1>video show, ad free versions of the audio show. In <v Speaker 1>the meantime, we will be right back. All right, we're back. <v Speaker 1>It's Game Mess Mornings, John Martin, Jeff Grubb. Let's get <v Speaker 1>back into it. Like I said, let's hit some of <v Speaker 1>these stories a little bit faster we did Control Reternal <v Speaker 1>successor Sorrows Saros. <v Speaker 3>Do you have it? <v Speaker 1>Do you know, like what the actual appropriate pronunciation is not? <v Speaker 2>No, I don't know. I don't know the government I've <v Speaker 2>just been seeing Sorrows. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's a government name. <v Speaker 1>Who could say Sorrow's got a new trailer, got a <v Speaker 1>release date, And by gotta release date, I mean a <v Speaker 1>new release date that is a different one that is <v Speaker 1>later than the previous release date. So it looks, it <v Speaker 1>looks so fantastic. The game is now coming out April thirtieth. <v Speaker 1>I think it was previously scheduled for March, right, so yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 1>a little bit, just a tiny bit of a delay there. <v Speaker 2>Either I thought it was out on four to twenty, <v Speaker 2>but I could be wrong. <v Speaker 3>I no, no, maybe I got the wrong date written <v Speaker 3>down here. It could be April twentieth. Either way, it's <v Speaker 3>out in April now. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, yeah, plenty to get excited about. One of the <v Speaker 4>best PS five games is Returnal, still like probably my <v Speaker 4>top five to probably top three new first party games <v Speaker 4>from Sony, lot lot to look forward to, and I <v Speaker 4>didn't really need a story trailer per se, but just <v Speaker 4>seeing more of that game gets me a lot more <v Speaker 4>excited and reminds me that the. <v Speaker 2>First half of this year is just going to be <v Speaker 2>in an. <v Speaker 1>Absolute killer yep, absolutely just NonStop. Super Mario Galaxy Movie <v Speaker 1>got thirty seconds of. <v Speaker 3>New Wish footage. <v Speaker 1>Like I think there were some like overlap with the trailer, <v Speaker 1>but this time Luigi sort of did like a flying <v Speaker 1>knee kick towards Bowser Junior. <v Speaker 3>That was pretty good. That movie's still coming out April. Third, <v Speaker 3>we got Mega Man Dual Override revealed. <v Speaker 1>By Captom, which first game and twenty twenty seven launch plans. <v Speaker 1>It's a two D side scroller returning to the series's origins, <v Speaker 1>and yes, they do plan to release sit in twenty <v Speaker 1>twenty seven quite a way, so off we do have <v Speaker 1>more about this effect. Maybe I'll just jump around and <v Speaker 1>get to that here at a second. But you were <v Speaker 1>happy to see this, right, Yeah? <v Speaker 2>I was so. <v Speaker 4>I was very excited to see Mega Man coming back. <v Speaker 4>It has been an entire console generation, like I twenty <v Speaker 4>seventeen or something, so it's been basically a full decade <v Speaker 4>since a new entry. <v Speaker 2>I'm excited for it. <v Speaker 4>I'm hoping we see more that like differentiates it, more <v Speaker 4>playable characters. I am looking forward to Mega Man like <v Speaker 4>evolving in that sense, but just like having him back <v Speaker 4>is so refreshing. To see CAPCOMs making him a priority <v Speaker 4>is always good news of my book. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I it was like, Okay, this is pretty exciting. <v Speaker 1>We just got that new story that they were going <v Speaker 1>to try to make Mega Man one of their core <v Speaker 1>franchises alongside a bunch of other stuff that already is <v Speaker 1>like Monster Hunter. It's like, oh man, that means they're <v Speaker 1>gonna go They're gonna go hard on Mega Man. <v Speaker 3>So when they started this build up. <v Speaker 1>I wasn't like, there's a chance this is Mega Man <v Speaker 1>Legends sort of like the like rebooted. There's a chance <v Speaker 1>that this is a whole new sort of style of <v Speaker 1>action game, like a ratchet clank thing that Mike was <v Speaker 1>talking about. But it's it's a two D Mega Man game, <v Speaker 1>and I think it looks pretty good and I bet, <v Speaker 1>I bet it will be better than even the last one, <v Speaker 1>which was what was that eleven? Uh So, so yeah, <v Speaker 1>I'm I'm excited about this. I do think though, that <v Speaker 1>they will do more than just this with Mega Man. <v Speaker 1>This is not the entirety of their plans. If they're <v Speaker 1>talking about making this a big new core franchise, right. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, when is x X is the big question right <v Speaker 4>now because I want to play his X, they want <v Speaker 4>to play zero. I want to see where that story <v Speaker 4>continuously goes. It's there's still stories you could tell there. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, Like there's the problem with Mega Man is like <v Speaker 4>there are so many different ways you can go and <v Speaker 4>I don't even know what information they're getting from how <v Speaker 4>those collections are selling. But so like we could get <v Speaker 4>a new Battle Network, we could get another new X <v Speaker 4>but yeah, like a sub a new sub series, like <v Speaker 4>a three D sub series that's not really bad, like <v Speaker 4>X seven ones would be absolutely cool. I the fact <v Speaker 4>that he's back, I'm I'm very excited. <v Speaker 3>I yeah, I I we'll look forward to this. I <v Speaker 3>think you're right. <v Speaker 1>They'll they'll want to hit all that stuff and kind <v Speaker 1>of make sure that there are other ways for people <v Speaker 1>to get it, and that's maybe they can experiment. It's like, hey, <v Speaker 1>we're gonna do Mega Well, I don't know if people <v Speaker 1>are gonna just want a Mega Man X game. <v Speaker 3>If they're gonna do Mega Man X. <v Speaker 2>So we'll see kind of the problem. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, exactly right. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they would still have space to just use a <v Speaker 1>new name and do something new with Mega Man. But yeah, <v Speaker 1>I think people are still gonna want to just the <v Speaker 1>regular X game. <v Speaker 3>Uh Okay, let's see here. <v Speaker 1>Capcom invites fans design to design their own Mega Man <v Speaker 1>boss for Dual Overdrive, that is. <v Speaker 3>The new MegaMan game. <v Speaker 1>This is from Blair Marnell at Game Spot as announced <v Speaker 1>that the Game Awards Mega Man is now officially making <v Speaker 1>his comeback in a new game, Mega Man a Dual Overdrive. <v Speaker 1>Since the franchise began in nineteen eighty seven, the Evil <v Speaker 1>Doctor Wiley has been creating robot bosses to challenge Mega <v Speaker 1>Man and keep him from foiling whatever nefarious plans he had. <v Speaker 1>Now it's your turn to design a robot boss for <v Speaker 1>Mega Man to fight in dual Overdrive. This is they <v Speaker 1>did this before, right, They did this with like an <v Speaker 1>early Mega Man game. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I think it was a nintended power. They were <v Speaker 4>like in peration. I don't remember. It might have been <v Speaker 4>or Aquaman or something from eight or nine. I forget <v Speaker 4>which Robot Master one out of that, But yet they <v Speaker 4>gave us something like weird like squiggily armed design. I <v Speaker 4>don't know if they're going to incorporate this into the <v Speaker 4>main series, but this is like the best way to <v Speaker 4>bring back the fan in community engagement that Legends three <v Speaker 4>was gonna have before it was canceled. So I think <v Speaker 4>this is like a really good move to just already <v Speaker 4>earn like your heart, the heart and soul of potential fans, <v Speaker 4>but like people who've been around forever feel like they've <v Speaker 4>been mistreated. It's yeah, them showing faith in the franchise <v Speaker 4>and the fans who've been around for like thirty plus years. Yeah, <v Speaker 4>I don't know if we could come up with a <v Speaker 4>communal robot master, like what type. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, listen, yeah, you're right we should. <v Speaker 1>But Mike and I he did announce on Games Decides <v Speaker 1>last night that this is going to be his primary <v Speaker 1>pursuit going forward, that he will be designing. <v Speaker 3>He wants to own this. <v Speaker 1>No, that doesn't mean everyone else can't challenge him, but <v Speaker 1>he will be focusing all his efforts on this for <v Speaker 1>the foreseeable future. And I wish him luck and getting <v Speaker 1>his robot master in there. He says, not to get <v Speaker 1>too cute, right, you can't get too like out there. <v Speaker 1>You want to be something that's kind of cool, but <v Speaker 1>you know, in. <v Speaker 3>An unexpect way. So we'll see what he's able to, <v Speaker 3>what he's able to come up with. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's continue here down the rundown I did <v Speaker 1>Mega Man. <v Speaker 3>Oh my god, there's a lot of stuff left. So <v Speaker 3>let's see here. There we go. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight release date <v Speaker 1>announced It's coming May twenty ninth. Continues to look very good. <v Speaker 1>You Lego Batman guy, Lego video video game guy. <v Speaker 4>I'm an Arkham game guy, so like I played them <v Speaker 4>as a kid, like the Lego Batman games as a kid. <v Speaker 4>But I mean this basically being an Arkham game that <v Speaker 4>goes through the highlights of like the movies and TV <v Speaker 4>shows and stuff. Yeah, this is probably one of my <v Speaker 4>most Answest Beta games, especially after how good that lest <v Speaker 4>Lego Star Wars was. Like, I still can't believe that <v Speaker 4>game was as good as it was. <v Speaker 1>Really solid Sean and Chat rallying everyone to submit hundreds <v Speaker 1>of apple Band character designs. If it becomes a meme, <v Speaker 1>there is a chance they will select the best. <v Speaker 3>Appleman or maybe the worst Appleman. Yeah, let's make it happen, everybody. <v Speaker 1>Diablo for expansion, Lord of Hatred revealed adds not one, <v Speaker 1>but two new classes, including the Paladin. Blizzard announced Diablo <v Speaker 1>for Lord of Hatred added to new classes Paladin and <v Speaker 1>a mysterious second class. It's out April twenty eighth. The <v Speaker 1>Diablo count on Twitter was retweeted, it's like, due to <v Speaker 1>like many many comments, we are adding a sword in <v Speaker 1>board character and they quote tweeted Mike Manatti from twenty <v Speaker 1>twenty four saying, Diabolo for is launching without a sword <v Speaker 1>in board character. I bet the first class is gonna <v Speaker 1>be Paladin and then so then They're like, yeah, we're <v Speaker 1>putting out your paladin. <v Speaker 3>Here you go, you fucker. That was funny to see. <v Speaker 1>Debut trailer for the Street Fighter movie shows off famous <v Speaker 1>special moves and even the car Bonus stage that movies <v Speaker 1>out October sixteenth. It looks hokey as hell in a <v Speaker 1>way that I think is like, well, welcome by me, <v Speaker 1>because I think that this team does not have the <v Speaker 1>chops to do like something dramatic. <v Speaker 3>So if that's fine, I don't try that. <v Speaker 1>Make a hokey fighting movie kung fu movie, and I'll <v Speaker 1>check it out. <v Speaker 3>What do you think? <v Speaker 4>Just the whole presentation was just off the rails from <v Speaker 4>the jump, everyone coming out there. I have no idea <v Speaker 4>what to expect from this movie. It's going to be <v Speaker 4>very funny seeing a new Mortal Kombat movie and a <v Speaker 4>new Street Fighter movie in the same year. <v Speaker 2>Seeing them fight it off. I have no idea what <v Speaker 2>to expect. <v Speaker 4>I don't know if it's gonna be good, but like <v Speaker 4>I'm gonna be there day one. I still watch the <v Speaker 4>uh that's all front Lungern the the original Street Fighter movie. <v Speaker 3>Uh Van dam yeah there you go. <v Speaker 4>Yes, yeah it It looks true to the games and <v Speaker 4>doing that in live action is wild. The fifty cents <v Speaker 4>fore hat forehead is like seared into my brains. <v Speaker 2>It is. <v Speaker 4>It is nightmare just looking at the wrinkles and the <v Speaker 4>styrofoam here. <v Speaker 1>Yep, yes, it's uh yeah. I think it's gonna be <v Speaker 1>a good time at the movies. Doubt it's gonna be <v Speaker 1>a good movie, but I won't care. I really won't. <v Speaker 1>Star Wars Galactic Racer announced the second big Star Wars game, <v Speaker 1>a big surprise from former Burnout and Need for Speed developers. <v Speaker 3>That is I think Fuse Games is the name of <v Speaker 3>the studio. <v Speaker 1>It is, Yeah, not just take a pod racing game. <v Speaker 1>It's a speeder bikes and speeders and all kinds of <v Speaker 1>different swoop bikes. <v Speaker 3>They did show subab at. <v Speaker 1>The end, so you can assume that pod racing will <v Speaker 1>be one of the options, and it. <v Speaker 3>Looked really good. I think it just looks like the <v Speaker 3>follow up to. <v Speaker 1>That entire genre of Wipeout and f Zero, but with <v Speaker 1>the Star Wars aesthetics which were really working in this game. <v Speaker 3>I thought it looked impressive. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I'm very much looking forward to this game. Episode <v Speaker 4>pot one. Pod racing is like probably my top five <v Speaker 4>most played n sixty four games. I've bought it on pretty <v Speaker 4>much every platform it's on. I absolutely love that game. <v Speaker 4>Somehow Subulba returns. That's that's crazy. Yeah, that Star Wars <v Speaker 4>had a great night last night. Yeah, that future is <v Speaker 4>looking right right. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's like and if the future of all the <v Speaker 1>rest of the stuff isn't these games are so disconnected <v Speaker 1>from that while also being like square in the middle <v Speaker 1>of still the kind of Star Wars that people want, <v Speaker 1>like give us more Episode one or you know, prequel <v Speaker 1>era games like like this. I don't know if the <v Speaker 1>Racer is necessarily that clearly subb was older here, but <v Speaker 1>like still it has those aesthetics, and then old like <v Speaker 1>Knights to the Old Republic, give us more of that. <v Speaker 1>They did both those things, and none of those are <v Speaker 1>going to hang on anything that happens in Mango and <v Speaker 1>Grown Gon. <v Speaker 3>Or whatever the hell that goddamn movie is going to <v Speaker 3>be called. <v Speaker 1>Uh So, I think I think we could probably just <v Speaker 1>enjoy these video games and not have to worry about <v Speaker 1>whatever cinematic Titanic they're going to have happening at their <v Speaker 1>with their next movie. All right, let's see Phantom Blade <v Speaker 1>zero as a release date. That's coming out September ninth, <v Speaker 1>twenty twenty six. It's a kung Kung fu punk action RPG. <v Speaker 1>Is what is how it's described here. I think this <v Speaker 1>looked better than ever. It looked great previously, but boy, <v Speaker 1>I think it looked really fantastic in this trailer. I'm <v Speaker 1>adding it to one of the games I'm looking forward <v Speaker 1>to next year. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, awesome. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's a game that's always looked interesting, had like <v Speaker 4>I feel like, I feel like we haven't seen this <v Speaker 4>game in so so long, but like, getting a really <v Speaker 4>polished trailer on top of a release date is very cool. <v Speaker 4>This is definitely one of the Sony projects that I'm <v Speaker 4>looking for to the most next year. <v Speaker 2>Looks hot. <v Speaker 1>Uh, Pragmata got released date demo and oh you know <v Speaker 1>it's this Is this the one that got delayed? Which <v Speaker 1>which one got delayed? Maybe maybe it was Pragmatic that <v Speaker 1>got delayed. One of these games got pushed. <v Speaker 2>Sorrow Scott delayed I think a couple of weeks from. <v Speaker 3>Sorrow, So okay, yeah, it was one of those. <v Speaker 1>The April lease release date ones Pragmata is coming out <v Speaker 1>April twenty fourth. Gameplay demo is available now they also <v Speaker 1>confirmed it for the switch to, so it's like, man, <v Speaker 1>that's a lot of good news for Pragmata, a game <v Speaker 1>with that. When I played it at Summer game Fest, <v Speaker 1>came away from it being like, oh, I am that <v Speaker 1>is one of my most anticipated games of next year. <v Speaker 1>It is very fun. I guess people probably have been <v Speaker 1>trying it by now. <v Speaker 3>I don't. <v Speaker 1>I haven't seen any word on the street about what <v Speaker 1>everyone else is thinking, but I know I'm still looking <v Speaker 1>forward to it. <v Speaker 3>So what do you think about the latest from Pragmata. <v Speaker 4>It looks great. It's looked great for a while. I <v Speaker 4>love what you guys have been saying about it. There's <v Speaker 4>a lot of people who are singing these praises. So <v Speaker 4>I downloaded the demm of this morning. Haven't played yet, <v Speaker 4>but yeah, it's easily going to be one of my <v Speaker 4>most anticipated games of next year. <v Speaker 2>And we don't have to wait that long anymore. <v Speaker 4>And now it also doesn't have to hold the Minati <v Speaker 4>baggage of it secretly being a Mega Man game, so <v Speaker 4>I can enjoy this game for what it is now. <v Speaker 4>It looks it looks really cool, So yeah, I'll try <v Speaker 4>that later today. Yeah, and switch to like our e <v Speaker 4>engine is very good for that platform. <v Speaker 2>It. <v Speaker 4>They have done so many games for the Switch Too. <v Speaker 4>I think it's like nine games and like the span <v Speaker 4>of six months. <v Speaker 2>It feels like. <v Speaker 1>And I think I think Capcom was one of those <v Speaker 1>publishers out there and one of their earning sports talking <v Speaker 1>about like Yo, Switch Too is here. We got to <v Speaker 1>get serious about it, and they, you know, took credit <v Speaker 1>really have. <v Speaker 5>Uh Rob, If I ever hear you say the words <v Speaker 5>Pragmata delayed ever again, you're getting to catch these hands <v Speaker 5>because you're personally responsible. <v Speaker 2>Looks at you. <v Speaker 1>I'm not the one who's like every time they talk <v Speaker 1>about that game, they delayed it, right, like. <v Speaker 3>That was what they would do that in lieu of <v Speaker 3>anything new. <v Speaker 5>When when they delayed, it's cute they have a little hand. <v Speaker 5>I'm just like that fucker. <v Speaker 1>All right, we got to keep going a little bit faster, <v Speaker 1>So I'm gonna go through these a little bit quicker. <v Speaker 1>Gang A Gang of Dragon is Toshihiro uh Negoshi's new game, <v Speaker 1>and it sure looks like Yakuza. Negoshi previously at RGG <v Speaker 1>start a new studio under Was it Nettie's next on? <v Speaker 3>I can never remember. I think it might be Netty's. <v Speaker 2>Oh I think you're right. Actually I think it is <v Speaker 2>net E's. <v Speaker 4>And yeah, that whole situation is weird where they're making <v Speaker 4>them front like the whole publishing bill or something. <v Speaker 1>Right, and like I felt like they weren't going to <v Speaker 1>like promote the game, but then it showed up at. <v Speaker 3>The Game Awards. Maybe Kili's doing a solid for him <v Speaker 3>or something like that. I don't know. <v Speaker 1>Uh, it looks awesome, like it looks like, oh my god, <v Speaker 1>we're gonna get like we're gonna have two studios now <v Speaker 1>that make these kinds of games, like with Japanese talent. <v Speaker 1>That is extremely exciting to me, and I think they <v Speaker 1>kind of crushed it with what they're going for here. <v Speaker 3>Don Lee is the actor for the character model. <v Speaker 1>I've seen him before, I'm not super familiar with his work. <v Speaker 1>I will say that that is a big Boy and <v Speaker 1>it's Big Boy season and gaming once again, and I. <v Speaker 3>Love to see it. So we'll see what's going on <v Speaker 3>with man. <v Speaker 2>He's a phenomenal actor. <v Speaker 1>Okay, Okay, he's in that. I've been meaning to watch that. Okay, <v Speaker 1>so it's time. I'll make it happen. Hell yeah, Warlock <v Speaker 1>Dungeons and Dragons is a new single player RPG that <v Speaker 1>leans into expressive magic. <v Speaker 3>It's single player game. <v Speaker 1>Forest three, which is a fall up to the Forest <v Speaker 1>and Sons of the Forest. Yeah, what do you think <v Speaker 1>about this one? I was like, this looks more than <v Speaker 1>those previous forest games. <v Speaker 3>I don't know. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, the shift from just like Legiti Forest to like <v Speaker 4>a sci fi kind of exploration game is so interesting <v Speaker 4>because I always was just thinking, oh, you know, it's <v Speaker 4>that Forest Cannibal game that I liked playing a couple <v Speaker 4>of times, and then another survival game came out of <v Speaker 4>my friend's got distracted. But like, yeah, taking it to <v Speaker 4>space is pretty wild. I think that's definitely something to <v Speaker 4>keep your eye on because those games are very fun. <v Speaker 4>But yes, now I have no idea what to expect <v Speaker 4>from this game anymore. <v Speaker 1>The big last thing of the show. Do you remember <v Speaker 1>what it's called? <v Speaker 2>So I cheated? <v Speaker 4>I looked at the doc if you asked me, like <v Speaker 4>ten minutes ago, like Sean asked us before we even <v Speaker 4>went on, completely forgot what that game was. You ride <v Speaker 4>on something high Guard. We're talking about high Guard. <v Speaker 1>We're talking about high Guard, a PvP raid shooter from <v Speaker 1>the creators of Apex Legends and Titan Fall. <v Speaker 3>This is out January twenty sixth. That's pretty quick, so you. <v Speaker 1>Could you probably imagine what happened here is they're launching <v Speaker 1>this thing and they're going to they probably have. <v Speaker 3>A big budget to like acquire users. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, so we'll see. I am not moved by <v Speaker 1>the trailer I saw, but this is like like a <v Speaker 1>lot of things. <v Speaker 3>If it plays really well, maybe maybe it'll win me over. <v Speaker 1>But it just right now, it feels like dangerously in <v Speaker 1>the concord zone. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 4>I mean, it's also kind of hard because it's like <v Speaker 4>I don't know how much money they paid or if <v Speaker 4>like Jeff was rearranging the show himself. It definitely feels <v Speaker 4>like something happened and they needed to shift the order <v Speaker 4>of games, like there were so many big games, Like <v Speaker 4>I feel like Control could have been a good ender <v Speaker 4>Mega Man. Probably not, but like Mega Man is a <v Speaker 4>great like close in game, and then you have yeah, <v Speaker 4>like a Controller of Star Wars. <v Speaker 2>So it kind of stinks that the the expectations. <v Speaker 4>Of yeah, half lif three, like like I mean, the <v Speaker 4>Altar Beast fans, they were they were ready, and now <v Speaker 4>they're just gonna rip in the shreds. <v Speaker 2>Uh this yeah it you know books good? Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>they're gonna wise. <v Speaker 4>It's it's hard, right because it looks like it could <v Speaker 4>be fun, but there's like no time before announcement to release. <v Speaker 4>There's no beta to get people actually excited excited for this, <v Speaker 4>and yeah, it being the last is just like it <v Speaker 4>kind of has the world against it, but so it is. <v Speaker 2>Yeah it is. <v Speaker 4>And it's also hard to compare any game to titan <v Speaker 4>Fall like that is a series of words. <v Speaker 1>That are like when you do can make the comparison, <v Speaker 1>it's like kind of want something has like a campaign <v Speaker 1>and maybe traditional multiplayer, and this is not that I <v Speaker 1>don't know, we'll see. I will give it a shot. <v Speaker 1>It's going to be free to play, it's going to <v Speaker 1>be a live service game. It'll be there when I <v Speaker 1>want to turn to it, at least, you know, until <v Speaker 1>if it doesn't do well, then it won't be. <v Speaker 3>But whatever, all right. <v Speaker 1>Total war Warhammer forty K announced from Creative Assembly. They've <v Speaker 1>done Total war Warhammer games before. This is the first <v Speaker 1>one they're going to be doing in the sci fi <v Speaker 1>forty K setting. Yeah, looks really promising. Invincible Versus announced <v Speaker 1>to a new character. Let's see that is Tierra Wack <v Speaker 1>or no, that's the voice actor Elmnal. Oh Elemental, right, yes, totally, yeah, <v Speaker 1>I know Elemental. And then for for Loop revealed as <v Speaker 1>PlayStation's new sci fi co op shooter from Bad Robot <v Speaker 1>and Left for Dead designer, this is another one that <v Speaker 1>I was left pretty cold by. It is kind of <v Speaker 1>a Left for Dead like. It's PlayStations publishing it. Jj <v Speaker 1>Abrams was on stage, the guy from Left for Dead <v Speaker 1>was on stage talking about, hey, this is the successor <v Speaker 1>to it, and then the game itself looked pretty generic <v Speaker 1>to me. <v Speaker 3>I don't know, how did you feel? <v Speaker 4>Did jj Abrams not look really like uncomfortable following a <v Speaker 4>Star Wars game with like a roaring applause, Like he <v Speaker 4>looked visibly uncomfortable there, and then like they're like, yeah, <v Speaker 4>you remember Left for Dead And then like a couple <v Speaker 4>of people are like, oh, we we got a clap. <v Speaker 4>It was right, It was unfortunate series of events. But yeah, <v Speaker 4>like there there was not a lot that did it <v Speaker 4>for me. I honestly didn't think the trailer speaking to <v Speaker 4>us as opposed to showing us what goes on in <v Speaker 4>the game didn't really work and if they were gonna <v Speaker 4>do like any scripted bits like I hate these kinds <v Speaker 4>of trailers, but like even the like forced friendship, like <v Speaker 4>we're working together and we're gonna talk you through, like <v Speaker 4>what the kind of gameplay loop is sort of trailers <v Speaker 4>would have hit a little bit better. So yeah, so <v Speaker 4>even though it's like a Left for Dead designer, it's <v Speaker 4>like kind of hard to get excited for this because, <v Speaker 4>I mean, we know what it is, but they didn't <v Speaker 4>really sell us on why that loop is worth coming <v Speaker 4>to them for. <v Speaker 1>Hey, myself muted, I think my wireless charging Logitech mousepad <v Speaker 1>must have died because my mouse just stopped responding and <v Speaker 1>it worked again when I plugged it in. So my <v Speaker 1>induction feel has broken. Everybody. Oh no, I'll forget that <v Speaker 1>looked at all right. The next game from the developers <v Speaker 1>of The Ascent is called No Law, and it looks <v Speaker 1>a bit like Cyberpunk twenty seventy seven. It's like a <v Speaker 1>first person RPG. It looked very cyberpunky. Let's see here <v Speaker 1>the yeah, oh this was a big one. Ace Combat <v Speaker 1>eight Wings of Thieve announced for PC and consoles, and <v Speaker 1>first trailer this is the first excuse me first Ace <v Speaker 1>Combat game since seven, which was like twenty nineteen, twenty eighteen, <v Speaker 1>twenty nineteen. I think that was awesome that they kind <v Speaker 1>of really pulled off and gave it like an air <v Speaker 1>of importance that I was really impressed by, how about you. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I'm very excited for this, having only really played <v Speaker 4>the base campaign when it launched and not really returning <v Speaker 4>to it. Yeah, just picking off where they left up. <v Speaker 4>Ace Combat has always been like kind of middle Gear <v Speaker 4>in the sky for me, like just some of the <v Speaker 4>most absurd storylines going on. <v Speaker 3>Really good way I look it. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I am always just a big fan of that. <v Speaker 4>It is probably the like the dog fighting game besides <v Speaker 4>like a Rogue Squadron that I've played the most in <v Speaker 4>my life. I actually I forget what it's called, but <v Speaker 4>like the Arcade one that came before, is combat one <v Speaker 4>that they put on like the like the shop or whatever, <v Speaker 4>like the retro game. That game is even them, That <v Speaker 4>game is really sick. I'm very excited about this. Got <v Speaker 4>me to buy the Top Gun DLC that I forgot <v Speaker 4>came out for seven. So yeah, I'm this is a <v Speaker 4>game I'm very itching to maybe marathon all of the <v Speaker 4>games in anticipation of this one, because it's been so long. <v Speaker 1>I was thinking the same thing. I'm at least going <v Speaker 1>to go back to some of those PlayStation originals. I <v Speaker 1>don't know if it was like Ace Combat four right <v Speaker 1>that they did up to four. I don't think I've <v Speaker 1>ever played four, so I'm gonna do that. Lenny Kravitz <v Speaker 1>is joining Double O seven First Light as a villain. <v Speaker 1>That game's still out March twenty seventh. He's going to <v Speaker 1>be a black market arms dealer. Cool, weird, but I'll <v Speaker 1>thank it. I imagine he might be involved in in <v Speaker 1>the Bonds song, which is maybe why he's in the game, <v Speaker 1>but who knows. Marvel Rivals Stephens season six trailer confirms <v Speaker 1>Deadpool as next playable character. That was a ne of course, <v Speaker 1>that was always gonna be. They were always going to <v Speaker 1>pull the Deadpool. <v Speaker 3>Lever, right. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>The Witness and Braid creator Jonathan Blow announced new two <v Speaker 1>hundred and fifty hour puzzle game. Why would you put <v Speaker 1>it that way? Order of the Sinking Star? <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>I like The Witness. I don't like Braid. I just <v Speaker 1>couldn't click with Braid. I don't like Jonathan Blow, but <v Speaker 1>was curious about this, and now I'm like, Okay, that's <v Speaker 1>a relief. I don't want to play this, so I <v Speaker 1>don't have to like deal with Jonathan Blow. But I <v Speaker 1>kind of also had a hard time of understanding necessarily <v Speaker 1>what it was. I'll say visually did not have the <v Speaker 1>the juice of a Witness. <v Speaker 3>Apparently his artists won't work with it. I don't want <v Speaker 3>to say it that way. I don't know. <v Speaker 1>I don't know the details, and I don't care they <v Speaker 1>don't work together anymore. <v Speaker 3>So that was pretty clear here. Any interest in Jonathan <v Speaker 3>Blow games and Witness in this game. <v Speaker 4>Like kind of like I like the concept of Braid <v Speaker 4>more than I like the execution, and then the Witness <v Speaker 4>was a game that made me feel really stupid in <v Speaker 4>high school, so I haven't gone back, but in a <v Speaker 4>post Blueprints world, I probably would find a lot more <v Speaker 4>enjoyment with that. Yeah, it's weird because it does look <v Speaker 4>kind of interconnected, and I think that is somewhat fascinating, <v Speaker 4>But I don't know it. It might be I just <v Speaker 4>need to watch someone stream like if Soldier Boys streams <v Speaker 4>it or something like, I'll watch him play it or something. <v Speaker 1>I think that would be the best way to consume <v Speaker 1>it for sure, like at least the most respectful and <v Speaker 1>deeply understanding of what was going on. And Jonathan Blow <v Speaker 1>would insist us to watch it that way. <v Speaker 4>That's his favorite streamer after all. Yeah, his favorite video game. <v Speaker 2>Guy. <v Speaker 3>Oh fuck, that's funny. <v Speaker 1>Lords of the Fallen two publisher discusses dismemberment lore and <v Speaker 1>learnings for the sequel they're making. <v Speaker 3>Lords of the Fallen two. <v Speaker 1>Out of Words is a stunning and unique take on <v Speaker 1>co op platforming game. <v Speaker 3>This is the other a split fiction. <v Speaker 1>Like actually, we didn't talk about the first one, but <v Speaker 1>we'll talk about it here in a second. Out of <v Speaker 1>Words was the I think the stop motion one, Like <v Speaker 1>the characters were the puppets or whatever. It had a <v Speaker 1>real strong style, and it is one of these co <v Speaker 1>op games two people play through the whole thing alongside <v Speaker 1>one another and sometimes doing varying tasks at the same time. <v Speaker 3>It looked really stylish and cool. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. I just find that fast that art style kind <v Speaker 2>of fascinating. It does have that kind. <v Speaker 4>Of like like a coraline sort of esthetic to it. <v Speaker 4>It's not afraid to get like kind of dark with <v Speaker 4>them just removing their mouths altogether. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. No, I'm a sucker for that. I love being able. <v Speaker 4>To just play games with friends, like sitting side by <v Speaker 4>side couch co op. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean I'm in for this. <v Speaker 4>I'm probably a little bit more excited for the other <v Speaker 4>one we haven't yet gotten to. <v Speaker 1>But saying yes, yeah, and did I skip that or <v Speaker 1>is that in here? Let's see, I'm gonna just go <v Speaker 1>control f Orbitals. Yeah, I don't see it in here, <v Speaker 1>so IgM missed it, so let's just talk about it. <v Speaker 3>Orbitals. <v Speaker 1>This is seventies eighties anime style, also split Fish, split Fiction. <v Speaker 1>It takes to Joseph feris like of two players playing <v Speaker 1>on their Nintendo Switch to where this game is being <v Speaker 1>exclusively released, kind of like doing cool things like one <v Speaker 1>player is piloting a neat eighties anime style spaceship and <v Speaker 1>the other one is using the gun on that spaceship <v Speaker 1>and you're going through Varius. <v Speaker 3>Stuff like that. <v Speaker 1>I don't like, who like Who knows if it's going <v Speaker 1>to be as good as the fairest games have been recently, <v Speaker 1>because like split Fiction got really good. But I will <v Speaker 1>say the orbital style won me over hard and I'm <v Speaker 1>ready to check this out. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I mean, you can pretty clearly draw a line <v Speaker 4>from it Tis two and seeing how they got to <v Speaker 4>split fiction, and both of those games are phenomenal. But like, <v Speaker 4>like both this and Out of World having such fastly <v Speaker 4>different art styles I think is really good for the <v Speaker 4>style of game. I feel like co Op does need <v Speaker 4>to be a focus going forward, just because it does <v Speaker 4>get a lot more people into gaming. Like the free <v Speaker 4>pass thing is so incredible in a like Lego Voyages <v Speaker 4>was one of the best games I played this year <v Speaker 4>co Op. But yeah, no, talking about this game. It <v Speaker 4>looks like an absolute dream. I am in low with <v Speaker 4>the aesthetic. I think you guys have mentioned it, but <v Speaker 4>it does look like the uh uh the Journey Daft <v Speaker 4>punk album like music video film. Yes, and it's incredible, incredible. <v Speaker 4>I love those like seventies eighties. <v Speaker 3>Like, yeah, it's interstellar. Yeah that's what it is. Interstellar. Yeah. <v Speaker 4>This this got one of the biggest pops in my <v Speaker 4>group when we were watching it in person last night, <v Speaker 4>it was it looks very cool. Yeah, I just don't <v Speaker 4>think it'll be switched to exclusive forever. <v Speaker 2>All my friends was really sad. <v Speaker 4>But like, I think getting that Nintendo alignment in Push <v Speaker 4>is probably really good, Like haities benefited from that a lot, <v Speaker 4>Like there's there's a long history of that. <v Speaker 1>But at the games sell best on Switch. It's stole true, <v Speaker 1>it's what you know. It's that in Steam. Steam just <v Speaker 1>has like a number, so Switch as like that audience <v Speaker 1>that is into those kinds of games. Okay, let's see <v Speaker 1>Neo three got a new trailer that games out February sixth. Man, <v Speaker 1>it's gonna be a busy year early. They're going to <v Speaker 1>release a demo a demo on January twenty ninth, so <v Speaker 1>a week before the game comes out. Mario plus Rabbits <v Speaker 1>creator David Soliani announced a new platforming game called Bradley <v Speaker 1>the Badger. This was another standout for me. It's basically <v Speaker 1>a parent style game. Yes, a conquer like not another <v Speaker 1>teen video game, is what I would like describe it as, <v Speaker 1>where it's like it's gonna take it's perioding a bunch <v Speaker 1>of different kinds of games. Like there's one called Badger <v Speaker 1>Born to give you an example, where the Badger character <v Speaker 1>goes into a bloodborn. It's still a platformer, but then <v Speaker 1>there is these other elements from these games in there, <v Speaker 1>and that is the whole point. According to the developers <v Speaker 1>for like we want to sort of show our love <v Speaker 1>for games by playing around in their space a little <v Speaker 1>bit and lampooning them. <v Speaker 3>What did you think of it? <v Speaker 4>This is at the end of the day. I think <v Speaker 4>this might be my favorite game that I saw yesterday, <v Speaker 4>just the way that it switching art style, switching gameplay, <v Speaker 4>it being David Soliani, Like that's a huge get. I <v Speaker 4>didn't realize he was going to rebound to have a <v Speaker 4>new game already. Yeah, because I feel like Sparks Marin Rabbit, <v Speaker 4>Sparks the Hope came out like two years ago. But no, <v Speaker 4>this is someone that I will follow it to the <v Speaker 4>ends of the earth. He is one of the most <v Speaker 4>wholesome men you can kind of point to in the <v Speaker 4>gaming industry right now. So yeah, this being all of <v Speaker 4>these things and more like we're gonna go into the <v Speaker 4>real world. The Badger is played by Evan Peter. It's <v Speaker 4>just a recipe for John really really getting down with <v Speaker 4>this kind of game. Everyone loved it, Like our WiFi <v Speaker 4>had problems with us all trying to steam wishless it. <v Speaker 2>But what did you think. <v Speaker 1>I'm really impressed by it, Like, like I think it's <v Speaker 1>you know, it looks really good. I think the kinds <v Speaker 1>of parodies it's going for feel very modern, like, oh no, <v Speaker 1>this is these are people who are into games right now. <v Speaker 1>It's not like, oh, if you asked Hollywood make a <v Speaker 1>parody of video games and they would be like, they <v Speaker 1>would do Mario, but they would do they would do <v Speaker 1>pac Man, and they do a bunch of arcade stuff <v Speaker 1>and Atari stuff, and it's like, there's nothing wrong with that. <v Speaker 1>But if you're going to have someone who really knows <v Speaker 1>ball come and do this, yeah, it's gonna be shit <v Speaker 1>like Bloodborne and The Last of Us and that's what <v Speaker 1>this game is doing. So to me, that's just exciting <v Speaker 1>because we know David Soliani knows ball. <v Speaker 3>So let's get that game and see how this goes <v Speaker 3>all right. <v Speaker 1>Stupid Never Dies is set in a world where monsters <v Speaker 1>are part of everyday life and you are a lowly <v Speaker 1>zombie kind of another zombie game. I kind of had <v Speaker 1>a hard time place in exactly how this one played. <v Speaker 3>The free ship go yeah, go ahead. <v Speaker 4>No, So I just didn't remember if this is the <v Speaker 4>one where you're like vomiting all over the place as <v Speaker 4>like a projectile weapon. <v Speaker 2>That's the only thing that stuck with me. <v Speaker 1>I think it might be yes, yeah, you play that <v Speaker 1>zombie character, and that there's other zombies you're taking on. <v Speaker 3>I don't really know. <v Speaker 1>The Free Shepherd kicks off the game Awards. So that <v Speaker 1>was the dog hurting sheep game. The sheep hurting game <v Speaker 1>that is out in twenty twenty seven. But it looked really, <v Speaker 1>really good. I'm a sucker for any sort of physics <v Speaker 1>mechanics game of like, hey, if you move here, you'd <v Speaker 1>cause another thing to move over that when you to <v Speaker 1>sort of to heard these things, Hurdling was a great game. <v Speaker 1>This one is going to be along those lines, and <v Speaker 1>I thought it looked really promising. The Last of Us <v Speaker 1>on Charge to four director Unveil's next project, Coven of <v Speaker 1>the Chicken Foot. This is Bruce Staley's new game from <v Speaker 1>Wildflower Interactive. <v Speaker 3>It doesn't look a lot like Non Charged or The <v Speaker 3>Last of Us. It's something smaller. <v Speaker 1>Old Lady Well, she's a witch. She has chicken feet <v Speaker 1>for legs, and then she's got some creature that follows <v Speaker 1>her around that she needs to kind of take care of. <v Speaker 1>Looks like sort of a platforming puzzle action adventure game, <v Speaker 1>and I thought it looked at very least, very cute, <v Speaker 1>very different. Dan made the point that I thought I <v Speaker 1>agreed with. We don't get to play as old women <v Speaker 1>in video games very often, and so it's very notable <v Speaker 1>when it happens, and I get excited to play us <v Speaker 1>old women. <v Speaker 3>And I want everyone to know screaming. <v Speaker 1>Yes, I'm gonna go screaming on the street to anyone <v Speaker 1>will listen, and those who won't as well, especially Okay, <v Speaker 1>let's see here de Krepit is a terrifying first person <v Speaker 1>souls like coming to PC in twenty twenty six. <v Speaker 3>Let's see audio. <v Speaker 1>Mech gets new gameplay trailer from the audio Surf people. <v Speaker 3>I love Audio Surf. <v Speaker 1>The idea is you take your music, put it into <v Speaker 1>this game, and then it looks like a Vampire Survivors <v Speaker 1>with you know, shiny musical notes coming at you as <v Speaker 1>the as the sort of projectiles. Pretty cool idea. I <v Speaker 1>like that quite a bit. Guild War Yeah, Guild Woar's <v Speaker 1>Two Visions of Eternity expansion is coming. It got a <v Speaker 1>trailer and Selasta two which I think is pronounced Solasta <v Speaker 1>that's going into early access March twelfth, twenty twenty six. <v Speaker 1>It's a turn based RPG sequel featuring voice talent like <v Speaker 1>I'maliah Tyler and Ben Starr, which yeah, yeah, of course, <v Speaker 1>of course he's in the game, of course. <v Speaker 3>Yes. All right, that's everything I have written down here. <v Speaker 1>Anything we might have missed, any Any final thoughts from <v Speaker 1>the Game Awards, John. <v Speaker 4>No, I mean for the Game Awards. He kind of <v Speaker 4>covered all of our bases. I think it was a <v Speaker 4>really great showing for Capcom and PlayStation and I thought <v Speaker 4>it was pretty decent. It's kind of hard to follow <v Speaker 4>what happened last year with so many Titanic announcements, But yeah, no, <v Speaker 4>I think they did a good job. If we're gonna <v Speaker 4>do like a letter grade kind of deal, what do <v Speaker 4>you think you would give it? <v Speaker 3>Yeah? I was. <v Speaker 1>I would be at a B minus C plus probably <v Speaker 1>a B minus though, because it's grading on a curve <v Speaker 1>knowing what these shows are, understanding that you can only <v Speaker 1>have the announcements that are available to pick from. That <v Speaker 1>means games that already have assets, have companies that have <v Speaker 1>spent the time and money to make these things already. <v Speaker 3>H and yeah, I was excited about a lot of <v Speaker 3>stuff that looked good. <v Speaker 1>It was easy to ignore the stuff that didn't like <v Speaker 1>nothing like gotten the way like in some years where <v Speaker 1>it's like, oh my god, we're doing this for so long. <v Speaker 1>There was some of that stuff, but we've built up <v Speaker 1>a calloused soul against the anime, the NonStop gotcha game <v Speaker 1>commercials or whatever, or commercials for the US military, which <v Speaker 1>I don't Maybe there weren't any, but it seemed like <v Speaker 1>there were. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, how about you? Where are you at? <v Speaker 2>I think, I honestly think I am in that B range. <v Speaker 4>It's gonna be kind of hard to disappointment with a <v Speaker 4>new control and a mega Man Game Star Wars Code <v Speaker 4>to or three effectively, not not literally, but yeah, no, <v Speaker 4>it was a great group of games. <v Speaker 2>Fox Tour. That's that's gonna take them getting used to. <v Speaker 1>Yep, it's better start now because we're gonna be saying <v Speaker 1>it a lot. <v Speaker 3>Yep. <v Speaker 4>Here you go in the street, talk about Grandma's I'll <v Speaker 4>scream from the rafters. <v Speaker 2>Uh fhau Tour. It's like it's turbo time. <v Speaker 4>And then we run around someone's apartment and like stampalon <v Speaker 4>all stuff. <v Speaker 2>Yeah no, absolutely, uh yeah, good show. <v Speaker 4>Not not mind blowing, but I there there was potential <v Speaker 4>for more stuff, but for what we got pretty happy. <v Speaker 3>Yep, same here, all right. <v Speaker 1>I think what we should do now is actually real <v Speaker 1>quick last story. <v Speaker 3>I'll just hit the details here real quick. <v Speaker 1>The studio behind Doom just unionized. This is from Ethan <v Speaker 1>Gotch at Kotaku. The team behind Doom the Dark Ages <v Speaker 1>is the latest to unionize as a wave of labor <v Speaker 1>organized and continue sweeping across Microsoft owned game studios. They <v Speaker 1>joined developers across Blizzard, Butthes and other Xbox teams and <v Speaker 1>a moved aimed at giving them a seat at the <v Speaker 1>table and how things like layoffs are handled at the <v Speaker 1>Tech Giant. Got to say, awesome to see this happening <v Speaker 1>in the same day as the Game Awards. The developers <v Speaker 1>taking their power where they can. You're not going to <v Speaker 1>get it from the statue you get at the Game Awards. <v Speaker 1>So that's pretty clear now that that doesn't have a <v Speaker 1>sway to like make you now you can go into <v Speaker 1>office the next day and make demands on behalf of <v Speaker 1>your team Like, no, it's going to have to come <v Speaker 1>from a union. <v Speaker 3>So shout outs to the team over there for making <v Speaker 3>that happen. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>Roughly one hundred and sixty five workers at ID Software <v Speaker 1>announced on Friday that they had a union unionized, or <v Speaker 1>that they have unionized with the Communication. <v Speaker 3>Workers of America, So shout outs to them. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's see here we have the poll question <v Speaker 1>from yesterday, which actually Sean got posted. <v Speaker 3>Thank you so much I saw. <v Speaker 1>I think he was asking people to go vote, and <v Speaker 1>we did ask Hey, what letter grade did you give to. <v Speaker 3>The Game Awards yesterday? And I have the results over here. <v Speaker 1>Let me do that real quick, YouTube dot Com, slash at, <v Speaker 1>giant bomb slash posts. All right, let's see here, give <v Speaker 1>the Game Awards a grade A B, C or. <v Speaker 3>D or lower. <v Speaker 1>I'm gonna go with the B that I said, as <v Speaker 1>did fifty two percent of respondents. Then the next most <v Speaker 1>popular grade was see it twenty five percent, thirteen percent <v Speaker 1>gave it an A, ten percent gave it. <v Speaker 3>A D or lower. <v Speaker 1>That's a healthy bell curve, right like that. You know, again, <v Speaker 1>he can only control so much. I think that his <v Speaker 1>show is always going to be inherently disappointing to people <v Speaker 1>who want something that's more reverent to the games industry <v Speaker 1>and more respectful to sort of the wider cultural touchstones <v Speaker 1>or cultural hot points that we talk about. <v Speaker 3>He's just incapable of handling those things. <v Speaker 1>What he is capable of doing is put on commercials, <v Speaker 1>and the commercials were pretty good. So everyone seems pretty <v Speaker 1>happy with the you know, b being the most popular. Okay, <v Speaker 1>that is it, no new poll question because it's time <v Speaker 1>to do the bomb twelve here in a second, before <v Speaker 1>we get to that, John Martin, why don't you tell <v Speaker 1>people where they can find you on the internet what <v Speaker 1>you have going on and all. <v Speaker 3>That good stuff. <v Speaker 4>Absolutely well, yeah, so you can follow me on Blue <v Speaker 4>Sky at Jonathan Martin dot com or John Martin zero <v Speaker 4>six dive or something that's that's great Jamie zero sixty <v Speaker 4>five on YouTube. I think they're removed the ability to <v Speaker 4>like actually change your handle or something, so something I <v Speaker 4>reverted on looking into that. Yeah, besides that, kind of <v Speaker 4>just streaming more games before the end of the year <v Speaker 4>and finishing games before I submit a top ten or <v Speaker 4>any kind of list of you guys should be a <v Speaker 4>good time. <v Speaker 2>Looking forward to it. <v Speaker 1>Yep, But we have some people sitting in their list <v Speaker 1>to us right now. I know that we're still going <v Speaker 1>to get some next week, so we'll expect a lot <v Speaker 1>more work soon, Marino and Lexi, we'll get that going. <v Speaker 3>Okay, let's see here we did that. <v Speaker 1>We should talk about what's happening on Giant Bomb later <v Speaker 1>today we're doing upf Ultimate Chicken Horse sequel, Ultimate Raccoon Sheep. <v Speaker 3>I think I think that's it is. I think that's <v Speaker 3>what we're calling it. HP Raccoon Ultimate Sheep, Ultimate Sheep Raccoon. <v Speaker 3>Thank you, Sean. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, we're gonna play that. It's gonna be a <v Speaker 1>good time. So I really enjoyed that first game, always <v Speaker 1>wanted to play more of it. Well, let's just wait <v Speaker 1>for the sequel. Here we are and we'll be wrapping <v Speaker 1>up the week with that. Okay, I think that means <v Speaker 1>John Sean, it's time four the Bomb twelve. That's right, <v Speaker 1>these are the twelve games that really matter to people <v Speaker 1>who are really playing video games. We got our results <v Speaker 1>in from a week where most of the games that <v Speaker 1>are gonna come out this year are now out. Like <v Speaker 1>that first week of December really does seem like the <v Speaker 1>finish line for just about everyone. There's you know, like <v Speaker 1>DLC coming for that Avatar game from last year or <v Speaker 1>maybe it's two years ago. It's coming out the same <v Speaker 1>day that the Avatar movie comes out. Yeah, stuff like <v Speaker 1>that will still happen. But instead or outside of that, <v Speaker 1>most everything out else for twenty twenty five is now <v Speaker 1>available to be on the Bomb twelve, so let's get <v Speaker 1>to it. Number twelve was Sectory, number eleven, Destiny two. <v Speaker 1>It seems like that that latest update, people are really <v Speaker 1>into it. <v Speaker 3>How star Wars is it? Everybody is? <v Speaker 1>It's something I should check out. I've never played that <v Speaker 1>much Destiny too, Maybe I should. I know it's like <v Speaker 1>faux fake Star Wars, but that's fine. Oh yeah, number ten, <v Speaker 1>Final Fantasy fourteen, number nine, World of Warcraft number eight, <v Speaker 1>Prince of Persia, The Lost Crown, number seven, The Outer <v Speaker 1>World's two, number six, Marvel Cosmic Invasion number five, Arc <v Speaker 1>Raiders number four, Hollow Night, Silk Song number three, Haighties two, <v Speaker 1>number two, Demon School, and number one Metroe Prime four. <v Speaker 1>Demon School got pretty close to taking that top spot, <v Speaker 1>but Metroy Prime four this is its first real full week. <v Speaker 1>It was number one last week, but that was like <v Speaker 1>right as it came out, it splashed and number one. <v Speaker 1>It was always got to be number one for this week. <v Speaker 1>So we'll see how many people are still playing it <v Speaker 1>next week, and I'll be interested to see, like like <v Speaker 1>the Christmas week Bomb twelve, John, I want to see <v Speaker 1>like what everyone returns to from this year. I think <v Speaker 1>there's a chance that's like Silk Song, Haities two or <v Speaker 1>Clare Obscure, where everyone's like, I'm going back to this <v Speaker 1>game that everyone everyone's been talking about this whole year, <v Speaker 1>and now I have some time. <v Speaker 3>Off, let's try to play that. <v Speaker 1>We will see all right, this will get updated on <v Speaker 1>giant bomb dot com. <v Speaker 3>Here's that works from now and everybody. <v Speaker 1>There is a below the fold on the front page <v Speaker 1>for giant bomb dot com, the new website, Thank you, Chuck. <v Speaker 1>There is a module there that has the Bomb twelve. <v Speaker 1>There's a link right there that's going to say vote now. <v Speaker 1>I will update that after this show each Friday, so <v Speaker 1>you can go and find the new Bomb twelve and <v Speaker 1>vote for next week's game, and we'll get the results <v Speaker 1>and we'll talk about on each Friday as we always have. <v Speaker 1>In the meantime, I think it's time to get out <v Speaker 1>of here. John Martin, thank you so much for hanging <v Speaker 1>out with me today and talking about video games. Man, <v Speaker 1>I really appreciate it anytime. <v Speaker 2>Jeff, it's always a pleasure. <v Speaker 1>Thank you all for watching and listening. You are the <v Speaker 1>best audience in gaming. Until next time, have a good one, <v Speaker 1>take care of yourself and goodbye. <v Speaker 3>Thanks Sean,
