<v Speaker 2>all right, And I think this was the surprise of
<v Speaker 2>the season for me overall. Went through them all.
<v Speaker 3>It's like I haven't known you all my leafe.
<v Speaker 2>It's the episode that I thought. I just did not
<v Speaker 2>expect this to be as good. I didn't expect to
<v Speaker 2>enjoy as I'm not saying it's a great episode, but
<v Speaker 2>I personally enjoyed a lot more than I thought I
<v Speaker 2>was going to, particularly because the A plot was good
<v Speaker 2>and the B plot was also very relatable for me.
<v Speaker 2>And It's midnight towboy.
<v Speaker 3>Right it was. It was in the maybe list, Yeah, yes,
<v Speaker 3>I remember you could. I was almost going to put
<v Speaker 3>this in for one that I enjoyed as well.
<v Speaker 2>Matt Dylan was really good as Louis. Matt Dylan was
<v Speaker 2>great Home. We always like it when Home is really
<v Speaker 2>good at his job, and the only thing that sort
<v Speaker 2>of held it back a bit for me was that
<v Speaker 2>the town goes into disarray because Home's not towing cars anymore.
<v Speaker 2>I always everyone something happens and everyone's towing cars, right,
<v Speaker 2>And then there's no sort of wrap up for that story.
<v Speaker 2>I thought, just sort of at the end, sort of
<v Speaker 2>trailed off a bit, got a bit wacky towards the end,
<v Speaker 2>but I thought for ninety five percent of the story
<v Speaker 2>was really good. And the B plot I mentioned before
<v Speaker 2>was Marge and Maggie the child independent story B plot,
<v Speaker 2>which is something that I'm sort of going through at
<v Speaker 2>the moment where my kids are getting four and six,
<v Speaker 2>they're getting of age where they could start looking after themselves,
<v Speaker 2>and sort of the fear of oh, oh yes, A,
<v Speaker 2>you probably won't need me as much anymore, and B
<v Speaker 2>will you want to play and hang around hang out
<v Speaker 2>with me anymore? Because Alie still want to kick the
<v Speaker 2>footy with me. They're kicking the footy with him on
<v Speaker 2>the weekend. But there will come a point where he'll go,
<v Speaker 2>I'm going to my mate's place, and you don'tant to
<v Speaker 2>keep no, no, I'm going to Jerry's house. Okay, ah, okay,

<v Speaker 2>probably shoudn't keep watching the mat because Holly will want
<v Speaker 2>to watch it. So you see, can We watched The
<v Speaker 2>Girl's Footy al it loves the girls footy, so we're
<v Speaker 2>watching it, and then it got to like nine o'clock
<v Speaker 2>and I went, mate, you've really got to go to bed

<v Speaker 2>they never allowed to use the iPads unless it's very rare,

<v Speaker 2>I put it so it's time to bed, and he's like, okay.
<v Speaker 2>They handed in the iPad and it had the fox
<v Speaker 2>to up. His eyes lit up and he's like, can
<v Speaker 2>I watch you in bed? I said, you can put
<v Speaker 2>it on your desk and you watch it to the
<v Speaker 2>end of the game. You got to turn it off
<v Speaker 2>for gears, okay. And he runs into his bedroom and
<v Speaker 2>I start. I said, I'm going to be in my
<v Speaker 2>office editing, okay, and he goes yeap, so walking here
<v Speaker 2>to start editing, and about five Secondslater he was running
<v Speaker 2>out of his bedroom just gives his massive cart and
<v Speaker 2>he goes, You're the best dad ever. And I was like, ah, y,
<v Speaker 2>that is very hard. I was like, he went, he went,
<v Speaker 2>he left, and he went. Now I'm coming back to
<v Speaker 2>him another cuddle.
<v Speaker 3>Ah, what a sweet lad and what a good dad.

<v Speaker 2>But it's but the b plot. So I'm finding it.
<v Speaker 2>I found it very relatable. I find the ones where
<v Speaker 2>the kids and the parents at odds with each other
<v Speaker 2>more alaienable than I did when I was a kid.
<v Speaker 3>Off here well yeah, I mean I think Maggie, stuff
<v Speaker 3>like this is maybe you can do it with all
<v Speaker 3>the kids, but it's tough for the senses because you know,
<v Speaker 3>as we tend to say, retains the status quo. Things
<v Speaker 3>remain the same as I always do. So yeah, it's
<v Speaker 3>hard to have stories where, oh the kids are growing up,
<v Speaker 3>all the cats and the cradle stuff. So on the
<v Speaker 3>occasion when you can do that and do it well
<v Speaker 3>as I think they did in Midnight Towboy, yeah, it's
<v Speaker 3>gonna make an impression, particularly with good parents like yourself.
<v Speaker 2>It could have even been higher on my list. It's
<v Speaker 2>just the ending was a little bit off for me.

<v Speaker 3>are basically short stroking it all over the place when
<v Speaker 3>they get to a park city or tell you ride

<v Speaker 2>It's nice when these mocks mock up what was mocking
<v Speaker 2>episodes because you can say pissed takes. They kind of are,
<v Speaker 2>but in a loving way. But it's nice when they're
<v Speaker 2>written by people who you know are doing it from
<v Speaker 2>the right place.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, taking the mickey, yeah yeah, that feels a little
<v Speaker 3>less harsh than taking the piss.
<v Speaker 2>But this isn't like a South Park version where it's
<v Speaker 2>completely mocking something. This this is they're doing it from
<v Speaker 2>a place of love. You know, it's like you can
<v Speaker 2>tell this was written by film nerds.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, but again the feeling even Trey and Matt when
<v Speaker 3>they do stuff like that sort of like there's love
<v Speaker 3>in there, but where we're not going to go easy

<v Speaker 2>seeing Skinner and Charmer succeed at something and get along.

<v Speaker 2>enjoy a story that includes includes suicide and where he

<v Speaker 2>it away from being higher on the list was that
<v Speaker 2>Patty and Salmone tried to kill Homer in the end.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, and there's there's the fallback of ohithough they
<v Speaker 2>knew this ship was down there, that he lands on
<v Speaker 2>the party boat, but then they make the joke of
<v Speaker 2>them saying, no, we didn't know it was there, And
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, you didn't need to make that joke. You know.
<v Speaker 2>The joke worked with them just pushing him to scare him.
<v Speaker 2>That's enough of a thrill for them. But I just
<v Speaker 2>thought the ending was a little patchy for me. I
<v Speaker 2>liked the overall that they forget me shot and that
<v Speaker 2>kind of thing, but so Homer's motives were all really
<v Speaker 2>good throughout the episode. He felt bad that he ruined
<v Speaker 2>the surprise party, so he had to forget me shot
<v Speaker 2>so he could remember it and be surprised again. For
<v Speaker 2>Marge's benefit. But I saw the ending of the party boit,
<v Speaker 2>I thought I just found a little bit out there,
