00:00:02 Speaker 1: No woyan. 00:00:03 Speaker 2: Now, so how was your date with Adam? 00:00:08 Speaker 1: We're gonna get to it, wait to get to it. And I told my mom I was going to tell the truth. 00:00:15 Speaker 2: Oh you hit it, You hit it. 00:00:16 Speaker 3: If you hit it, you got the tea, you got the Earl Gray, they got the Earl Gray on you. 00:00:23 Speaker 2: Are we recording? I hope we are Earl Gray on you? Mm hmm. That's that's how you want to speak about my lovely mother. No, I'm just saying, what's the you know, how was it? 00:00:37 Speaker 1: There was lots of process. There's lots of process. As as I'm getting older, my mother and I are getting closer. We've always been really close, but closer on an adult level, much more than a mother son level. So I see a lot of things that I never saw that she hid from me. And we've been a concert together. But you know, I went to like the Mariah Carey Heartbreaker tour with her. 00:00:59 Speaker 2: Yeah that safe. 00:01:01 Speaker 1: Ye, I've went to like safe concerts. I have not gone to a concert where the theme of the concert is for the lead singer to take his shirt off and that's what everyone anticipates throughout the show. 00:01:13 Speaker 2: Wasn't aware of. 00:01:14 Speaker 1: That and I don't like how Adam Levine is almost fifty and looks that good. It's incredible, So I guess we can just start at the beginning. 00:01:26 Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do it. 00:01:27 Speaker 1: My mom got what you would call, I think like a caraffe of some sorts of chardonnay. I've never seen you could literally buy a bottle of wine in plastic that they pour into to go to your seat so you don't have to get back up. I think by song too, it was three quarters of the way done, so I'm getting a lot of woos and a lot of hands up. Yeah, I'm like, my mom doesn't even know this song. 00:01:52 Speaker 2: She started to wave by itself. 00:01:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, Adam Levine could have got on that mic and said I regret to inform everyone there's been a school shooting, and my mom would have. 00:02:00 Speaker 2: Been like whoo. 00:02:03 Speaker 1: He said anything, and my mom was wooing it up. 00:02:08 Speaker 3: Yeah, Adam, Adam, Adam makes the women happy. He definitely makes the women happy. He's you know, he's one of those guys that the women, you know, love to go out and see and and living and living color. 00:02:19 Speaker 1: But I just I was taking aback that my mother fell for where my lady's at line so easily, like with no hesitation, right here, yes, and we were right there, we were like row five. He could hear her say, Yo, the ladies are here. 00:02:36 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:02:38 Speaker 1: I just some things you just think in your head of your mother, Like my mom would never just cave to where my lady's at. She would need a little bit more than that, like where are my ladies that have been successful for this, Like just something to add to it, not just you know, are you in the building, Like I don't think Adam thought, all right, it's just dudes that showed up today. She felt right for it, right for it. And then at one point when he took his shirt off, she stared directly in my face and I have the video which I will lock away forever, looked at me directly in the eyes and said, he took his shirt off. He was like, I could see that one. I see that he took his shirt off. We're close enough to see his nipples. 00:03:20 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:03:21 Speaker 1: But she had a really good time. Her friend had a really good time. That was so she had a good time. That's that's shit, amazing time. I was so happy to see her happy. She she loved that. 00:03:28 Speaker 2: Shit. 00:03:29 Speaker 1: It's nice with some of the benefits and the friends that you meet along this industry, you can do cool things for your parents. Like typically I'm used to being able to get shorty fucking little baby tickets. It's nice that I could get my mom some tickets to a band that she likes, and we could go together and she could bring her friend and we could sit really close and get the whole little waitress treatment at the show. 00:03:50 Speaker 2: Like it was great. 00:03:51 Speaker 1: So thank you PJ Morton, you made my mother's life. Shout out to PJ Man. She really really good guy. Yeah, I mean I've really I was talking to PJ before. I was like, damn, I assume with the COVID shit, you know, we probably can't go save it up and everything, and he's like, yeah, we're literally trapped in our hotel rooms. 00:04:08 Speaker 2: They won't let us leave. 00:04:09 Speaker 1: And then as the night progressed, I was like, probably a good idea, No, no, great idea. I'm actually really you know, shut out that we couldn't go backstage and my mother keep everything copa steatic because I feel like Adam probably doesn't put his shirt back on you when he's backstage. 00:04:22 Speaker 2: No, if you don't work out and leave your shirt on after you take it off, and. 00:04:25 Speaker 1: It was it was like a perfect end of summer night where he was like listening just enough for my mother to go crazy. 00:04:32 Speaker 2: Neither here nor there. 00:04:34 Speaker 3: So he had a great night with Adam and Room five and in PJ Morton and Mom. I thought about you. I was like, I wanted to wait until I got the reaction live. I didn't want to ask you about it. I didn't want to text you. 00:04:46 Speaker 1: Stayed till Sunday in Philly. How was it hopped over to Maid in America in the rain? 00:04:52 Speaker 2: Mind you. 00:04:52 Speaker 1: I didn't pack to go to a festival, but I only had like nice clothes, but I. 00:04:56 Speaker 2: Went to lock up your good new balances. 00:04:58 Speaker 1: No, I went to I went to Made in America in the rain in doors. 00:05:02 Speaker 2: Oh my god, listen. 00:05:05 Speaker 1: I didn't leave the fucking tent because it was raining. So they stayed completely fine. But I did feel like I was. I got there and was like, aren't you pass forcing things? 00:05:12 Speaker 2: Yeah? 00:05:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I even grabbed a drink, like maybe this will loosen me up and I'll start to enjoy. I really saw my what you could have been on ninety five right now. 00:05:21 Speaker 3: Trust me, I've had plenty of nights like that where I'm like, I forced it. 00:05:24 Speaker 2: Never again, Yeah, never again. 00:05:25 Speaker 1: But may it was cool. Just the rain kind of fucked it up. Towards the end of the night. It stopped and it was cool. But it was nice to run into some people and seeing all the Griselda guys was nice. 00:05:34 Speaker 2: Nice to see them all together. Their their performance was great. Yeah, it was. It was cool. 00:05:39 Speaker 3: I saw some Adoja cat set. I said, if there, he's going crazy right now. I was side stage my brother he was going crazy. I was on the side of the stage. 00:05:46 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:05:47 Speaker 3: Yeah, she looked good. She looked good, she sounded good. The crowds you enjoyed. But yeah, I know I wasn't going I got invited to come down there, but I was like, nah, I'm cool. The weather was kind of trash. 00:05:57 Speaker 2: Yeah it was. It was. 00:05:59 Speaker 1: It just wasn't a good between COVID kind of running rampant again and the safety rules that it required for Made America, which did make me feel good because they they definitely like you had to go through apps and put your fucking tests and vaccine cards and it was tough to get in, So that made me feel better. But between that, the rain just people weren't really into it that same way, and it was not Made America's fault. 00:06:24 Speaker 2: It was just a weird energy at that time. That's why. 00:06:26 Speaker 3: That's what it is about festivals. If the weather is not up to par and you know it's it's hit or miss, you know, that's the That's the great thing is if it's great weather, great time. 00:06:36 Speaker 1: Yeah, but ship, Let's get to the nitty gritty man. 00:06:38 Speaker 2: Let's get to it. 00:06:39 Speaker 4: Man. 00:06:39 Speaker 2: When we got again. 00:06:40 Speaker 1: Recaps are cool, weekends are great. 00:06:44 Speaker 2: What we got? How you feeling. 00:06:46 Speaker 3: I've been reading some things online, been seeing some reactions to music and okay, you know albums. 00:06:55 Speaker 1: What type of reactions we'll start there. What type of reactions did you see off off the rip. 00:07:00 Speaker 3: I'm gonna be honest, man, I'm seeing more people say that they're kind of disappointed with the Drake album than I thought I would. 00:07:08 Speaker 2: And that's surprising to me. Why well, because well, let me say this. 00:07:12 Speaker 3: I think that people anticipated a different sounding album. I think people took Certified Love a Boy and anticipated a very R and B heavy album from Drake, and I think that was one of the things that people were kind of thrown off by. 00:07:26 Speaker 2: They thought that this was. 00:07:26 Speaker 3: Gonna be a very R and B heavy album, heavy sound, and it wasn't. And I don't know why, because Drake already addressed that he would never do like an R and B album. He addressed that years ago. He said he would never do that. I don't know why fans are anticipating that, but that was one of. 00:07:41 Speaker 2: The general kind of. 00:07:43 Speaker 1: Says something because it's such a weird title that you would think that, all right, I'm gonna call it something obscure because the music. 00:07:52 Speaker 2: Is so different and great. 00:07:53 Speaker 1: Like not to say Drake hasn't had good album titles, but like none of them have been like, oh my god, what is that about? 00:08:00 Speaker 2: Right? Like thank me Later? 00:08:02 Speaker 1: I wasn't like, holy shit, yeah, let me thank you. What it's about, what it's about to happen, let me go thank him? Yeah, even views from the sixth I was like, all right, he's about to give us probably a pretty heavy Toronto sounding album. 00:08:14 Speaker 2: If you're reading this, it's too late. 00:08:15 Speaker 1: By the time we got it. It was the surprise joint, So the title made sense. It wasn't an anticipation of what it was. When I heard Certified lover Boy four fucking years ago or whenever he announced it. I was like, all right, if he had if he is gonna call it this, this is about to be some shit. He knows that he's sitting on something that's kind of crazy, you're gonna call it certified lover boy because he either he's really gonna get clown, which I know Drake doesn't give a fuck about, but he's gonna get clown for that title. So he knows he has some music that's gonna shut everyone the fuck up. It's one of those fucking reverse all right, clown me go ahead, You're gonna love everything on here. So yeah, maybe everyone did into this title too much, but they should have the biggest artist in the world and call some shit certified lover boy. 00:08:58 Speaker 3: Well yeah, but again, and you can't take that title and just assume that this is gonna be an R. 00:09:03 Speaker 2: And B album. 00:09:04 Speaker 3: I didn't say that. I just think you're I think that's what most people. Yeah, I think that's what most people did. They took this title and they kind of ran with it another way. So when they didn't get what they thought they were going to get, expectations weren't met. 00:09:14 Speaker 2: So some people feel disappointed. 00:09:17 Speaker 3: But yeah, I was really surprised to see that, because, uh, I feel the opposite. I feel like this album was really good. I feel like, minus maybe two or three tracks, uh, I like it. I like it a lot, And it's hard for me. It's hard for me not to like a Drake album just because I think that Drake makes the type of music that I think I can. You can really play anywhere. You can play in the house, you can play in the car, you know what I mean. You can listen to you know, on a flight, you could, you know. So it's hard for me not to like the album because a lot of his records have so much replay value. But minus two or three tracks on this album, I'm i'm I'm I'm liking it. 00:09:51 Speaker 1: Everything he said about Drake is what makes him a lesson, and I agree and listen, listen to Drake in any setting by yourself, with women, family, parties, crib wherever. 00:10:01 Speaker 2: He's great at that. 00:10:02 Speaker 1: He's probably the best artist at that period in music. That does not make me like this album though, because the caliber in which he did it on this album does not meet his standard. I'm only here to compare Drake to Drake and nobody else and Drake is in another stratosphere, so I can only do that with him. To the caliber of the music Drake makes, this was subpar to me, sub par to Drake. Now, if anyone else put out this album, it would be great, because Drake makes good music. It's never gonna sit there and go that is fucking the wackest thing I've ever heard in my life. Please don't ever play that again. He has a familiar voice. He's been around for a decade. We love his voice. When shit comes on, it sounds good. I was talking with a friend of mine. I was halfway through the album. I didn't listen to it the night it came out. I waited, and she texted me and said, this is a parody album. I said, what are you talking about? She said, this feels like a parody album to me, and I was like, all right, that's weird. And I kept that in my mind as I listened to the rest of it. And I listened to it the second time m h. And then I text her back and said, I completely agree with you, especially when looking in that lens in the back of your head. This feels like a Drake parody album. I know that sounds weird because Drake made it. It feels like he was trying to recreate other great Drake songs that have already happened, and they missed the mark from the great ones that already existed. It felt like someone else was trying to make a Drake album. And I know that may not make sense to some people, but I have said that. I've had this conversation with a few people and they're like, Yo, you don't need to explain it. I know exactly what you're talking about. It felt like someone was making a Drake album and they weren't Drake. Because Drake has set the bar so high. That's why I'm comparing it to him in this in this sense, because he just I could almost go through the whole track list and come to a great song that already existed that it sounded like he was trying to recreate. So to me, it felt like, I don't want to use lazy because that's unfair, very unfair, but it just it felt like it almost felt like a Tory Lanez album, Like when Tory tries to do Drake all the time. It felt like Tory picked Drake beats and tried to rap and sing like Drake what he always used to do. And again when Toy did it it wasn't bad, and then Drake doing it here it's not bad at all. But I can only compare him to him in that sense. It missed the mark of all the greatness that he did. And I'm one of those people that, YO, don't go you know the whole line if you want my old albums by them type shit. But in this sense, yeah, because you're trying to recreate the shit you already did so well. 00:12:49 Speaker 3: So you're saying that you don't feel like he raised the bar with this album at all. 00:12:54 Speaker 1: I don't think he raised the bar in his catalog at all. Okay, is it great music? 00:13:02 Speaker 2: Yeah? Am I gonna listen to this again? Of course? 00:13:05 Speaker 1: Am I gonna play this around other people? Of fucking Christ. 00:13:08 Speaker 3: You're just saying you're ready, You're you're ready for Drake to push push the bar higher on hisself, which is. 00:13:15 Speaker 1: Yes, but all right, look at it the other side of the coin too, Drake doesn't need to. I feel like everything Drake has been talking about the past few years has kind of been a numbers game number one and everything you can't fuck with me, your chicks listen to my music. 00:13:29 Speaker 2: There's literally no one on earth that can do it. 00:13:31 Speaker 5: M H. 00:13:32 Speaker 1: So yeah, if don't fix something that's not broken, But in music, you should try to push some shit forward, especially if you're one of the great period this. This to me is like I could see them in the studio going, all right, we loved Lord knows, let's try to give them you only live twice and try to recreate it do. I love that record, of course, it's one of my favorite on there, But a lot of this shit just feels like they were trying to reac create the past. And on top of that, you're a little older, right, some of that shit's probably not going to hit the same because I don't know if you're living it the same way you were before. Drake is thirty four. What we say he was thirty four, Drake is thirty four years old. But I think Drake is an older thirty four year old because he has lived a lot of life. Yeah, he's lived an shit, a ton of life. This the fucking twenty one year old Drake could have wrote this shit. I'm not asking him to give me a mature fucking album. I'm not at all like, I'm not saying, yo, come on, give me your four to forty four. I don't want that from him. It's not what I'm asking. But when I know the twenty two year old, twenty one year old could have wrote a lot of this outside of being number one in the entire world, Yeah, I think it's a step back. I don't think it's a step forward in your career. 00:14:49 Speaker 2: So for you, it's the content, it's. 00:14:51 Speaker 1: The contents, it's the production. To forty, to me, is probably in the top three or four or best vocal sample pickers in hip hop ever. 00:15:03 Speaker 2: To me my. 00:15:04 Speaker 1: Personal taste, I feel like forty was bored on this album, and I love the vocals. 00:15:10 Speaker 2: It's forty. 00:15:11 Speaker 1: So the beats are gonna sound incredible, the mixes are gonna sound incredible, the beat changes are going to sound incredible. 00:15:16 Speaker 3: But is forty bored? It's more the same. Okay, So you said that you just were expecting a better sound as far as production, the better sound as far as content. You don't feel like Drake taught you anything that he hasn't here or told you anything that he hasn't Aready told you before? 00:15:38 Speaker 1: Drake is one of the best reflectors if you will on in rap to me, Ever, as far as how can how he can articulate real rap records of reflecting on things that have happened throughout his life, throughout the past year, current shit, and do it in such a clear way, Drake is the best at that. What I didn't learn anything from this album Besides he still hates Kanye. Okay, even the records I run to because I like the deeper if you will type of Drake records. I like the rap in I'm not gonna say just the time records because He's Do Not Disturb is not a time record either, But those type of records is my favorite. Shit on these of course they're great, but they haven't really evolved, right. I'm never gonna I'm never gonna tell well, yes I will, because I'm a fan of music, and unfortunately, art is to be dissected and it's to be critiqued. It just is what it is. I'm not here to be mean or disrespectful anything like that. I'm just here to critique it as a fan. In my opinion, shouldn't fucking matter because plenty of people like the shit. I would have loved to hear what the past two or three years have been with your child outside of I think it's great that you and your girl are the great co parents. Think that's amazing that line, and damn, I really wasn't expecting to have a child. 00:17:03 Speaker 2: I need a little bit more than that. 00:17:06 Speaker 1: In the evolution of Drake, I've heard you talk about hoes forever. You're the best at talking about hoes. I've related to every whole line you've ever said. I've wanted to put it up as my caption, but I have too much fucking pride to do so. I've almost texted it, texted chicks your lyrics, but out of pride, I didn't I relate to you on the on the whole talk, even the relationship talk, the mother father talk. I've loved that he does talking about your parents better than anybody to like. I love that about Drake. 00:17:37 Speaker 2: I just haven't. 00:17:38 Speaker 1: I didn't get it at all on this album, and we watched so many things happen besides Kanye fucking West happened to him, and I just don't think I've learned anything here. 00:17:49 Speaker 2: And that's a big thing for me. 00:17:51 Speaker 1: With artists asked, and again, I'm not trying to sound like I know what the fuck it takes to create music like that. But artists, of course, as you would have advice, everyone advice, right. Usually, my biggest critique to people when they send me an album is I didn't learn anything about you. I don't know anything about you on this. I can't really connect to you on certain things because you didn't really tell me about yourself. 00:18:14 Speaker 2: But but why do you want? Why do you see? 00:18:16 Speaker 3: And that's that's that's where I think I'm different at because I really don't like and listening to albums a lot. 00:18:22 Speaker 2: I really don't care if I learned about the artists. 00:18:24 Speaker 3: Or if the artist tells me like deep intricate stories about themselves, like I'm just here for like good music, you know what I'm saying, Like I don't. I don't dissecting to the point where I'm like, oh, he didn't tell me like what his life has been like and what is you know, what's been going on? Like that's cool on certain tracks, you know, if you want to give us a glimpse of that, But to me, it's just entertainment, Like I don't really I don't really expect that. Now, if the artist wants to give me that okay, cool, But if they don't give me that, that doesn't mean that the album isn't good to me. 00:18:51 Speaker 1: So I agree with you. With a lot of artists, Drake is not one of them. Drake is a very personal artist. We know everything about him because he's told us. That's why people connected to Drake so much, because for so much of his career he's been that regular kind of relatable guy. Like if he talked about a lot of regular shit, like not everyone as a street dude, so there was a lot of shit that he was talking about. I was like, damn, all right, Yeah, I've been through that type of relationship. I've fucked through that type of chick. I have that type of relationship with my father. I have that type relationship with my mother. Oh I understand that that that struggle of that type of come up. That's really why I think a lot of people related to Drake because he was so vulnerable and said a bunch of shit that we relate to. We connected to him in that capacity he even did. Him and Kanye are actually probably the two best artists that can do introspective shit on Party records. Drake will give you introspective Bars on a party record. Yeah, so I agree with you. Yeah, I don't need to know everything about every artist. You don't need to give me that deep dive shit when Drake, Yeah, you respect him as as a big Drake fan. I need that type of shit from you all the time, and he did give some. I just think so much has happened, and you know what, maybe he's not ready to talk about the kid thing. Maybe he's not ready to really talk about certain things that happen in his life, and that, of course is his, you know, his choice. And who am I to ever force someone to tell me about their entire life. I've just seen him do it his whole career. So it's interesting now that we get to this point of your decade in or more and you chose to stop doing it. Usually artists get older and give us more of it, not less of it, not more of like kid talk that's on here. It's I mean, it's a lot of hosha. 00:20:39 Speaker 2: And granted we all. 00:20:41 Speaker 1: Thirty four years old, it doesn't mean you can't get into it with the hoes. And I always want to hear Drake talk about that type of stuff. Just balance it out a little bit more for me. 00:20:49 Speaker 3: Okay, and I get it. So let's let's run through it. Let's run through the album real quick, let's run through the tracks. 00:20:54 Speaker 2: He now we do well. We all have crowned Drake probably the king of intros at this point. 00:20:59 Speaker 3: He's definitely up there, right, So how do we feel about Champagne Poetry? 00:21:05 Speaker 2: I like it. 00:21:05 Speaker 1: I liked how forty did that vocal sample? I did enjoy the intro. I don't know if it's set the tone where I was like, oh fuck, what is about to come? But I really enjoyed it. It's probably the one I go back to the most. 00:21:20 Speaker 2: I like it. 00:21:22 Speaker 3: I think he had some interesting bars on there. I like I love the uh the track, I love the beat, So for me, that was a win. 00:21:31 Speaker 1: Pobby's Home, what a fucking waste of an amazing beat. It's great for the first listen. 00:21:40 Speaker 2: Yeah, what's in your cup? Let me? I ask? Is that water? Never mind? Then? Can we be honest about albums anymore? 00:21:48 Speaker 5: No? 00:21:48 Speaker 2: No, absolutely, I just wanted to. I just want to. I'm just trying to gauge my boy and see where you at. That's all. 00:21:52 Speaker 1: And people think Drake and I have some type. We don't know every time we see each other. It's fine, it's love, it's and everything. Absolutely, and he knows that I'm just sitting here critiquing an album because I'm a huge fan, shitting on him. He is a legend, He is a goat. I agree with him in that Kanye line of you slid down to number three? Oh, I mean yeah, let's I agree with mis do get to that. We're gonna get to We're gonna get to all of that in a minute. But let's let's let's go. And I'm saying, well he said it in recent times. Yes, it looked like Kanye was quiet for a while. 00:22:21 Speaker 2: No, no, let's not even let's not get there. Yeah. 00:22:26 Speaker 1: I thought it was funny. I thought it was cool. I just don't know the replay val. I don't know the replay value of harmonizing Daddy's home that I would just go back to. And he was right in it, he these are his. 00:22:43 Speaker 2: Kids, talk your ship on it. 00:22:44 Speaker 1: Yeah, but that beat, I feel like Drake could have spased on that beat is fucking insane. So to just have you kind of get your joke off on that one I didn't like. I don't hate the content. I hate it on that beat, okay, got you like just Daddy's Home, like I can't be in my card. Like it was cool to first listen. 00:23:06 Speaker 2: I laughed. 00:23:07 Speaker 1: I was like, oh, he's right. Then he got Nikki. I was like, oh, this is fucking amazing. But and that was great. He got Nikki because NICKI needed to say that. I'm gonna go get y'all mom. I mean Nicky as your mom. I've been trying to say that. And they call me a bar but whatever, Like, no, I'm a boy, don't call me one. I know I'm a bar, Like just like I know I'm a black man, but don't call me a black man. I know him black man. Uh, Poppy's Home for me was I liked it. I thought it was a good record. I just like to hear good raps, good lyrics, good beats. That's it simple. 00:23:42 Speaker 3: As long as you wrapping, you're getting your shit off, you're saying some slick shit your flow. Cadence, did you sing along to Daddy's Home? No, I can't sing that. Okay, you would never hear me saying Daddy's Home. Yeah no, no, you would never hear me saying that. But but to me, it was good song. Ignore that, right, I wouldn't skip it, Like, if it comes on, I'm not skipping that. I'm not skipping that track if it comes on. 00:24:05 Speaker 2: Who produced that? Did Forty do that one? 00:24:09 Speaker 1: Because to me, that's that sounds like if Forty's not bored on that one? That beat was so good, I just didn't need talk to his kids on or talk to your kids. But just don't get don't use that stuff. You don't like Daddy's Home. 00:24:22 Speaker 2: I get No, I get it. I get what you said. 00:24:23 Speaker 4: Yomi super Mario, Jerrell Young and Mark Burno. 00:24:27 Speaker 3: Well, y'all smoked that beat that be That's what I'm saying. The raps was good, the beat was good. 00:24:32 Speaker 1: It's Drake the raps are gonna be. 00:24:34 Speaker 3: Yeah. So that's what I'm saying. It's it's hard for me not to like like I don't. I don't look at none of these artists for like super deep, introspective ship from their lives, lives like that. 00:24:43 Speaker 1: Wait, I didn't say he needed you know, I'm not saying I'm not. I'm not saying you say that. I'm actually didn't want him to on that right. 00:24:47 Speaker 2: No, I'm not saying you said that. 00:24:48 Speaker 3: I'm saying in general, I don't really like to me, this is all entertainment, Like, I don't really you know what I mean. I'm not looking for much other than yo rap, good, give me some flows, give me a good beat, talk some slick shit, you know, say some witty shit in your bars, and just me. I'm satisfied after that. I don't really need much after that. Girls want girls. And this is when we was talking about. When we walked in today, you were saying that you didn't particularly care for this no track, that this would have been a great leak. 00:25:18 Speaker 2: Okay, this is cool as a leak to me, a leak that doesn't make it on the album. Yes, okay, I. 00:25:23 Speaker 1: Think, all right, maybe I need to hear it in the setting where girls are liking girls, and I could, like, you know, really fuck with. 00:25:31 Speaker 2: It that way. 00:25:32 Speaker 1: Listen, listen, and Drake does it a lot with me where I would dislike a song when I first heard on the album, and I'll hear it in a setting four months later, I'm like, all. 00:25:39 Speaker 2: Right, I get it. I think this is gonna be one of those ones for you. 00:25:42 Speaker 1: I just initially after that, again, it felt like it felt like an incomplete song. That's why I said, I like it as a leak, like I like the hook is cool. Girls like girls on from like cool. People can sing that in the club, they can sing it anywhere. He was just taking Paul. It felt like an incomplete record, just sent to baby a little baby, and. 00:26:02 Speaker 2: Then was like, well fuck it, this is done. Okay. I liked it. 00:26:07 Speaker 3: Do you feel like you're a lesbian? No, I don't feel like I'm a lesbian, but I like the record. Well you sing I like lesbians? 00:26:13 Speaker 1: Well you say when this comes on, when you sing along to the you're a lesbian part, or you just get quiet like the way I word. 00:26:20 Speaker 3: No, you gotta know what the lesbian part. That's when you take a sip. But whatever, you got your head when that that part come on, you take a sip real quick. Oh that's then you get back into your ship. Just so funny. 00:26:28 Speaker 1: Said people wonder why I get so drunk when we're out. It's because when I listen to the music that's on, I want to wrap along to it. 00:26:35 Speaker 2: But there's so many n words. 00:26:37 Speaker 3: You got to you gotta sip. Yeah, see, you know how to do exactly. So when certain bars come on, that. You know, you can't say you just sip real get. 00:26:43 Speaker 2: One of these. I mean once you do this, Yeah, like you're good after that. 00:26:50 Speaker 1: Well great for a LGBTQ song. 00:26:54 Speaker 3: Yeah, I hope they have a video for this because it's gonna be a really really this can be a really great video. That's to go on porn Hub though, Get that on Viva. Yeah, no, give me like a real video for that. Shout out to Sukiana. Is that her name, Sukiana? Suki Hannah? 00:27:07 Speaker 2: Is that her name? I don't Suki Hannah. 00:27:09 Speaker 3: I want to say her name right, because she's restoring the films with that video. What is the name of that video? She's restoring the feeling pussy everywhere. That's that way we Suki Hanna. I want to say that I love you for that video. You're restoring the feelings, restoring. 00:27:25 Speaker 2: The vibes that gave me. 00:27:27 Speaker 3: That that's tip drill times one hundred. So I shout out to you because I like what you did with that video. 00:27:32 Speaker 2: That was really dope. 00:27:34 Speaker 1: Since I'm gonna sound like I hate her with everything today, it was great, but it wasn't very much pussy. 00:27:39 Speaker 3: Well yeah you got it, Yeah, you got it. I saw a lot of titties and ass. I mean, I mean, I'm pretty sure she has the other version she covered here. Yeah, I mean, but if I'm pretty sure, if you go on like spank bang or something like that. Yeah, I credited version up there, but shout out to Sukiana. That was really dope in the Bible. Next record, uh in the Bible. Damn, I can't hear it. 00:28:05 Speaker 5: I gotta because it was forgettable. 00:28:07 Speaker 3: No, no, no, it's just that I'm terrible with song titles, but I know the song when I hear it. 00:28:10 Speaker 2: Drake's verse was good. 00:28:12 Speaker 1: Didn't mind it again, more of the same as far as production goes. Dirk super unnecessary on it. Cut Dirk's verse off. 00:28:18 Speaker 2: Oh this is the one with Dirk shouted out his girls. 00:28:20 Speaker 1: Which is amazing. Yes, that's fire. I love that Dirk did that. 00:28:23 Speaker 2: That's goals. 00:28:23 Speaker 1: Whoever the fuck y'all say. But don't waste givey on. 00:28:30 Speaker 2: He wasted to give you on to you on this one. Okay. 00:28:32 Speaker 1: I loved Giveon's verse. It was too short. That should have been Drake featuring giveon. If we're gonna go this route on in the Bible. Because Drake was talking that. 00:28:41 Speaker 2: Shit on his verse. I fucked with his verse. 00:28:44 Speaker 1: You gotta let Giveon go crazy for like a thirty two, don't put two features on this, make this the drake and give me on record. 00:28:53 Speaker 3: I do remember, I don't like Dirk like left he had like I think, two more bars. He just left at the end of his verse where he could have got off and it was kind of like just like a lot of things felt incomplete on this out. 00:29:03 Speaker 2: Yeah I didn't. I didn't. 00:29:04 Speaker 3: I didn't understand. I felt like Dirk could have got his ship off for two more two or four more balls on that actually, But. 00:29:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm cool. 00:29:11 Speaker 3: I mean, it's not one of the standouts to me, but I'm not you know, I'm not mad at it. I don't know if I played as much as I would play girls want Girls. 00:29:19 Speaker 1: I just feel like you got to surround a song around givey On, not just plug and play, Like let me just put give On on this third verse, like all right, I got this, let's pack this one up with the popular features or let's try to put Dirk on something different, which I I'm cool with, but just not with a give on record. I needed just the Drake and give on. I know they did the freestyle joint, but yeah, the R and B side of them too. 00:29:42 Speaker 2: I got a cook for a minute. I wish it was just a hook. It's like Chicago freestyle. Okay, yeah, okay, all right, what about love all? Okay? 00:29:55 Speaker 1: I like this record a lot. When it leaked about a year I did, I'll play this record a lot. This was one of my favorites out of the leak. I commend Drake. I would have never thought Hove should go on this and good call. 00:30:12 Speaker 2: Great call, great call. I didn't. I didn't. 00:30:15 Speaker 3: I didn't expect to hit a song on the album actually, because it had leaked so long ago. I thought he was scrappy. But I loved this record, and like you said, adding. 00:30:22 Speaker 1: J to it was like, oh shit, okay, because I went like, did I go straight to the J one? I think I did go straight to the J one? And when it started to play, I was like, wait, he put Hove on this, and I was skeptical, but it really worked out, and I think Hope smoked it. I won't ask the questions because I know you're that's that's family ship. But he was talking to Dame. 00:30:48 Speaker 3: No, he wasn't you think Dave tried to kill j I don't. 00:30:54 Speaker 2: Well, there were some bars in there. No, not the whole versus. 00:30:59 Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, no, maybe maybe, But I think that was Jay just getting in his autistic bag and just painting a picture of you know you still you're still cool with dudes that. 00:31:09 Speaker 2: You know I don't funk with. 00:31:10 Speaker 3: And this is why why you think we not were not friends, because you cool with dudes that I don't funk with. 00:31:16 Speaker 1: And sometimes y'all did everything literal. Yeah, No, I don't think Jay was I don't think anybody's trying to kill people were still chilling with him. People can try to kill you in other ways. Absolutely, but great, great, Yeah, I love the love the record. That's more so the whole I would have liked on on the Donda thing that didn't feel rushed, felt like he was really cared about what he was saying. 00:31:39 Speaker 2: Mm hmm. 00:31:40 Speaker 1: And I know that one stung to Yah. Yeah, damn, he gave me, gave gave my rival the better. 00:31:46 Speaker 3: But I mean, I mean, I mean, in all finis, Jay probably had more time, that's true, but with this, with this record, but he they rushed it for the first listening. 00:31:55 Speaker 1: Jake Jake could have had three or four weeks for the final Donna one that cool, give it. That could have been the snippet, right, But I don't know neither here nor there. I do love that record. That record is really good. It was one of my favorites from the league. 00:32:07 Speaker 2: Okay, fair trade, Travis Scott. 00:32:12 Speaker 1: No, no, it's it's cool. It's cool Drake record. 00:32:14 Speaker 2: No, I'm just asking. I don't know. 00:32:16 Speaker 3: We haven't spoke about this, so this is all real time for me, Like I don't I haven't asked you anything about the album. 00:32:22 Speaker 1: It's cool Again, it would have been a cool leak to me. It's all right from Drake from Drake standards and Travis Scott standards and Drake and Travis Scott together standards and again, I want to make sure people I'm not holding every artist that they have to go to their best material. I'm not holding Nas to Illmatic, not olden Ja the reason, no Doubt'm not olding Drake to take care nothing to say whatever one. 00:32:46 Speaker 2: You think is the best. 00:32:47 Speaker 1: It's just kind of like, I cool whatever that one. If you just let the album play and we're at a kickback, I probably like it. 00:32:56 Speaker 3: I'm mad at it coming on. Yeah, but it's just I feel the same way. I'm not mad at that whatever. I'm not mad at it. I wouldn't. I don't think I would rush to play it, but I'm not mad at it. 00:33:05 Speaker 1: Way too sexy, I'll be honest with you. On my way down at Philly is when I when I gave this a first full listen on Friday morning, whenever the fuck it was, I was one of the carpool lane and flipped my Mazda over on purpose. 00:33:21 Speaker 3: Now you can't. You can't flip the Masi man. Don't flip the Masi. You need the Masi man, Don't flip the Mazi man. 00:33:28 Speaker 1: I was almost six to my stomach when that sample came on, and then when the song came on, I was like, it was the first time I've ever said, all right, this is a garbage song by Drake. 00:33:42 Speaker 2: But I was out in Philly all weekend. 00:33:45 Speaker 1: You did not stop fucking playing it, So I don't know if I've been brainwashed. No, no, no, I just hated the sample when I first heard No, No Clear. Then I started kind of shaking my hips a little. 00:33:54 Speaker 3: No, No, be clear, They're gonna make you like this record. 00:33:57 Speaker 2: Oh no, they've already maybe like it. 00:33:58 Speaker 3: They're gonna make you. I don't like it, but I know they're gonna make me like it. I kind of wish like I'm never gonna say I'm way too sexy, like that's just I would never say that. No, I do not think I'm a bad bitch. 00:34:08 Speaker 1: It's the first, it's the first men Feeling our Self record. 00:34:13 Speaker 2: This is the this is the male version of OP. Wow, this is this is this is it was? You know what I mean? This is the male version of OP. Yeah. And I get it. Like I've seen the video. They're having fun. 00:34:26 Speaker 3: It's like you said, a parody, like they're not They're not, you know, too cool to make jokes and laugh at themselves. 00:34:32 Speaker 2: I get that whole part. 00:34:33 Speaker 5: You know. 00:34:34 Speaker 2: That's that that to me, I'm not I'm not mad at that. I think that was great. 00:34:37 Speaker 3: But if you ask me when I play this in the car and the crib, and no, I wouldn't. 00:34:42 Speaker 1: It's and ironically, this was the only song I heard from the album outside so far, and I heard it ten thousand fucking times in feeling. Oh No, They're gonna make me like it and it works. No, they're gonna really listen. The girls love this record. No, the fellas was going crazy. 00:34:57 Speaker 2: Really this record. I went to a club and feeling on DJ, you have you spun this at your set? 00:35:03 Speaker 4: On your every single hour someone asked me for this fucking song? Really every single hour? All dudes, how do you feel about it? It's good you like it? 00:35:12 Speaker 2: How do you feel? 00:35:13 Speaker 1: How do you feel about men coming up to you to request the song? 00:35:16 Speaker 3: I was not surprised. And then that song. Yeah, I don't know about way too sex. I just can't because I can't sing the hook. I can't be like, I'm way too sexy for this, this hoodie, way too sexy for this, supreme, way too sex. 00:35:29 Speaker 2: I can't. I can't say that. No, you can't get right. 00:35:32 Speaker 3: Yeah, I just can't get it off. And I'm not sexy, So maybe that's why I don't like it. So, I mean, I don't know. Sure someone finds you sexy, yeah, I mean, but you know they're probably not sexy if they find me sexy. 00:35:41 Speaker 1: So well, if they decide on a TikTok dance, will we do it for this one? 00:35:45 Speaker 2: I've never done a TikTok dance in my life. Rory. I don't think I'm going to start. 00:35:49 Speaker 1: Here, but I do want to backtrack to men coming up to Edd and to request the song. We have to add this because you know, men can never have fun and we judgment for everything they do. I'm still adding this to the list as you can't go up to the DJ and request a. 00:36:01 Speaker 4: Song can you play that? They wouldn't say can you play way too sexy? That like, can you play that new Drake? And I already knew it was way too sexy? 00:36:07 Speaker 2: Oh you already knew that. They alway knew. 00:36:09 Speaker 3: Okay, so you didn't you didn't think about Nope, love all the one. 00:36:14 Speaker 4: That the music video dropped that same day. What they want to That's what I'm saying. 00:36:18 Speaker 2: I get it. 00:36:18 Speaker 3: It's like you said the parody thing that it having fun and not they're not afraid to laugh at themselves and have a great time. Like I get that part, But I'm just talking about the music. I just can't. I can't play this and get jiggy to this. I just can't. Just not my vibe. You know, you watch them a distancing Oh no, if it comes on, I'm not mad, And if I'm in the spot and it comes on like I know, I already know what it's gonna do in the spot. I'm just saying me personally, I just can't. 00:36:42 Speaker 2: Can you your eye it? Can I brop my head too? Oh yeah, I bought my head to it? Can you swing your hips to it? 00:36:47 Speaker 4: What? 00:36:47 Speaker 2: Hips? No? Hips off limits? When the Way Too Sexy comes on? 00:36:50 Speaker 1: Hips don't lie though, Once I get past the sample in the beginning, like if I could forget that part, if they could like men in Black hit me with the forgetful thing halfway through the song, I like it a lot. Okay, future futures versus great, but it's still coming off the heels of that sample. Listen, Drake has Kawhi Lenard, what's dancing? Like, if Kawhi Leonarx. 00:37:14 Speaker 3: Can start dancing, you know what, let me rethink this. If Kawhi Lenon can dance, maybe I should be dancing. Because Kawhi doesn't do any I doesn't even doesn't talk. Yeah, he doesn't even speak, so for him to be dancing the Way Too Sexy, it's like, you know what this is about. 00:37:26 Speaker 2: They're just having fun. 00:37:28 Speaker 3: They're not taking themselves seriously obviously, so I think it's I think it's gonna do exactly what they intended it for it to do. 00:37:35 Speaker 1: Kawhi and this video is me at the club. I'm just awkward. I'm not quite sure what I should be doing. 00:37:42 Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, look at the ladies splaying water missed on on themselves, like, you get it. 00:37:46 Speaker 2: You know what this is about? Just having fun? I get it. 00:37:49 Speaker 3: I understood as soon as I saw the video. I understood what they were going, what they were going with it. I understood that we'll. 00:37:53 Speaker 1: Go quick because I'm sure people are going through every single record TSU was off the league from a year ago. I ran this one of the round two already love it. Yeah, it's cool. I fuck with it again. Wouldn't mind it just be a leak but not maden it into deep another cool record? 00:38:09 Speaker 2: Whatever? Pipe down? 00:38:11 Speaker 1: Now, if you're gonna give me more of the same pipes, yo, okay. If you're gonna give me more of the same sound that you've given me before on an album, let it be this. Give me twelve of these Like this sounds like all right, I know my sound, I know what works. I know what my core fan base, which is fucking the world, is gonna love this. Just feels a little stepped up, feel like there was more care put into the traditional sound of Drake in pipe Down, more into the lyrics. The point of view the production, like pipe Down to me is trying to take that traditional regular sound a little bit further. 00:38:50 Speaker 2: Okay, I like piped Down, Love you have his Homebreak phenomenal. Wish it was long, but. 00:38:56 Speaker 3: Yeah, I was expecting Drake to have some bars on I was singing, But okay, I love the really good interlude is what they call it. 00:39:03 Speaker 1: I guess, Yeah, wish it was a little longer, but incredible. No friends in the industry. I've heard that record a million times from Drake. 00:39:11 Speaker 2: I'm cool to talk. 00:39:13 Speaker 1: I've heard no Friends in the industry plenty of times from Drake. I can go back to the other ones that are no. I'm listening. 00:39:20 Speaker 2: I got it. I go listen to Energy, I Hate You, I. 00:39:22 Speaker 1: Hey, Knife Talk, twenty one, Savage Project, Pat. I just I don't know if I'm the one that should be even commenting on that record. 00:39:30 Speaker 2: Maybe I mean I'm cool either way. 00:39:34 Speaker 1: Seven of them on the bridle Path love it. 00:39:37 Speaker 2: It's it's really really good. 00:39:39 Speaker 3: Anytime Drake tells us what Tom he he was on the anywhere in the world. 00:39:43 Speaker 2: Where's the bridle path? I'm poor? So is that like Alston I don't know what bridle path is. 00:39:48 Speaker 1: And Yugoslavia that I'm not aware or was he was in Toronto walking on a bridle path? 00:39:54 Speaker 2: Is it in Toronto US? Okay? Okay, seven am at his house, seventy at home at the crib, Yeah, seventy game at the house. Okay, And I like that. 00:40:06 Speaker 1: Kanye already put your address out, all right, seven am, you know where it is. 00:40:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, But I see whatever Drake gives us a time stamp, of course, it's always Gona. I don't think I think he's he's he every time he gives us a time stamp. 00:40:16 Speaker 1: We love that record and gonna sound more like a hater. I really like it. 00:40:20 Speaker 2: But you had it already. 00:40:23 Speaker 1: He can continue to give me these types of records. I didn't need a lot of that focus to be on Kanye West. I think I think Drake and Kanye think we care about Drake and Kanye now, and I'm not talking about just me. 00:40:33 Speaker 2: I'm talking about the rest of the world. 00:40:34 Speaker 1: Of Course, we're gonna watch because we're all messy, so we're gonna click it right. Nobody cares, but you two now, like, please let this be the end. 00:40:43 Speaker 2: No it's not, but are to go make music? 00:40:47 Speaker 3: Yeah it's not, but we're gonna talk about that. What was the next track? 00:40:50 Speaker 2: Race? Race my mind? Love it. 00:40:52 Speaker 3: I feel like this could have been a Magic Jordan record. Yeah, this was my favorite leak that came out. Yeah, I'm glad he added the second parts to it. 00:40:59 Speaker 2: I love this record, Fountains Fountains, I have it before, I have it. I like it. I like it, but I have it get along better. I love it, Glad it's just him and Tie. 00:41:08 Speaker 1: I think that there needs to be more of that on the album with the features, no double features, just you and the other artist. 00:41:13 Speaker 2: Love it. You only live twice. 00:41:16 Speaker 3: I'm not mad at any time Wayne Ross and Drake get to just get balls off. 00:41:19 Speaker 1: Wayne's pasz Ross. It feels a little dated, like some of this had been done and they just it sounds familiar. It sounds familiar, but shout out to Bank. It's a great bank beat. 00:41:32 Speaker 2: I miss you too. I felt like this was a spike just to Kanye. I like it though, it's cool, like it fucking fans. I like the rap part of it. 00:41:41 Speaker 1: Yeah, cool, not mad at that one, and then the remorse Again, I love it, but I think he could have. 00:41:48 Speaker 2: Went further and a little bit deeper on it. 00:41:51 Speaker 1: Okay, I've said this about certain Drake songs before, and yeah, I don't want to say certain full albums, but he does have a way of down the line, You're like, she was pretty good. 00:42:01 Speaker 2: I was wrong, but this went to me. I don't feel like. 00:42:04 Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I think that's uh, that's why I'm man. I just you know, again, I don't. I hate to you know, we only lived with it for a week or not even a full week yet, and that's that's unfair to artists a lot of the times because they take so long to put this this art together and you know, put it out to the world, and we take not even a day sometimes when people start tearing it down. So yeah, but I just, you know, just off of listening to to the music, to the sound and the content and you know, just you know, what Will was presented. I don't I don't see how people are not uh enjoying it, you know what I mean, Like it's it doesn't it's it's good music. At the end of the day, Like I you know, that's all I really care about receiving from artists that I like is just give me good music. And I think that this album has really good music on. 00:42:52 Speaker 2: It so well. 00:42:53 Speaker 1: I mean, I think how he how he ended the album with when you're winning, nobody's praying for you on a on a deeper level where he is in his career. You get less leeway when you're as great as he is, or once you've yes status. 00:43:07 Speaker 2: We know, we have high expectations. No, absolutely, I get that, and and that's you know, that's self included. Yeah, that's the expectations for you. 00:43:12 Speaker 3: That's right, And that's a great position to be in because that means that you've been people have championed you for a long time and they put you on this pedestal so they expect greatness from you. 00:43:21 Speaker 2: I understand those things. 00:43:22 Speaker 3: Uh again, I'm just not you know, after only five six days with it, I can't you know, I just don't understand how people not enjoying just good music. You know, a lot of the times you get a lot of these albums, and you know, when it's not good music like this is not you know, I mean, I think that this is just something that people were expecting a different sound. Maybe they were expecting, you know, like I said, more R and B heavy Drake, and I don't think that since. 00:43:45 Speaker 2: They got they didn't get that. They're disappointed. But I enjoyed. 00:43:49 Speaker 3: I enjoyed the music on the album, and again we got more time to live with it. We need to hear it in different settings. I think that's important too, once we get around different people and start to hear it. Like I said, the way too sexyre, I know what they're gonna push on me. 00:44:01 Speaker 2: I know that already. I'm not even I can't even feel sexy. Yeah, I'm gonna move MYX to it, sooner or later. I'm gonna move my hips to it. I know that. But you can get dressed to that record. Excuse me when you're trying to put your fitt together to go out at night, like you think you might, you might throw that one on. No, No, we're gonna skip that. 00:44:15 Speaker 1: What's some what is some of your like, let me get dressed before I go out? Type of record you're throwing in the crib when you're laying out the fit on the bed, trying to match them to the hat. 00:44:26 Speaker 2: I need to hear some boom boom boom. You know what I mean. 00:44:28 Speaker 3: Give me some Give me some West give me some west Side, Give me some Bennie, give me some Conway. 00:44:32 Speaker 2: Man. You want to feel you want to feel like a drug dealer. Yeah, I want to. I want to. 00:44:35 Speaker 3: I want to get dressed, minus the gun. I want to lead a gun in the crib. 00:44:37 Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. Of course I want to. 00:44:39 Speaker 3: You know, that's that's the type of ship I like getting dressed to. I like I like that real hardcore hip hop ship. When I'm getting dressed on my on my way to the spot. Oh no, give me some race my mind, give me ship like that. You know, actually know race my mind is leaving the spot. Absolutely, that's leaving this. Yeah, on my way to the spot. Listen, way too sexy. Throw it on, go on, rory, fuck it, were going to the club, throw it on. 00:45:02 Speaker 1: They better be girls in the car. Oh no, for sure, there's always women in the can. If you and I just oh no, no, no, no, down the west. 00:45:08 Speaker 3: Side and I try not to throw that in there. I think I thought you would just assumed that we had women in the car. 00:45:12 Speaker 2: But I'm afraid you for the sake of the listeners. Okay, yeah, no, no, we definitely have women in the car for sure. For sure. 00:45:18 Speaker 1: Well we shall see. But I want to stay in music. This is gonna be a music podcast today. Sorry for the people that don't particularly care for music or what's going on now. 00:45:27 Speaker 3: You know, whoever feels a way about us breaking down music. I mean, listen, y'all hate when we don't. So this is listen to the biggest acts in the world drop. Finally, after playing chicken and mouse with each other for like two months, they finally gave it. Yeah, well yeah, two years, they finally gave us the art. They finally gave it to the world. So yeah, this is what we have to do. We have to sit and we have to talk about it together as a community and as fans of the art. 00:45:49 Speaker 2: We have to This is what we have to do. So this is what we're doing. 00:45:51 Speaker 1: Today, staying on music. These niggas gotta fight, man. 00:45:57 Speaker 2: No, I'm joking. They don't fight my triller. 00:46:01 Speaker 1: And I'm taking Drake in that fight. Ohow, not important. Let's not promote violence. 00:46:07 Speaker 2: They should pie. 00:46:07 Speaker 3: Up, you know, they should should be good, good Christians and good Jewish people. And yeah, in all seriousness, it's getting a little uh as as uh as consumers and as fans of both of these gentlemen. 00:46:19 Speaker 2: It's just a little weird. Now. 00:46:20 Speaker 1: They can disagree on who the Son of God is, but let's agree on artistry. Yeah, let's let that be the only agreement together we ever have. 00:46:27 Speaker 3: Yeah, they can exist together, and we can have dond and we can have Certified level boy and enjoy both just as equal as we do anybody else that drops. Although I did love the fact that that whole competition thing. I love the competitiveness of it, though I love the who's gonna drop who's not? But I think this is a lot more personal than we know it is. 00:46:49 Speaker 1: And I think that's why they and that's why it's weird to me, that fucking digging the ship into the ground. Yeah, just beating us over the head with all the ship because personal to them, and we don't care. 00:46:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, And it's not only that we didn't get a great piece of art because of it, you know, the whole the life of the Party record, Yo. 00:47:07 Speaker 1: And on top of that, that Poppy's Home beat. I'm sorry to go back that Poppys home beat take all Drake's concept out of that, Kanye West and Drake on that beat would have been insane. 00:47:17 Speaker 2: Okay, I see what you mean. Yeah, I can hear it. 00:47:20 Speaker 1: That would have been a special type of record. I can hear it type of beat. 00:47:23 Speaker 3: And the fact that he put Cuddy on the album, and he Cuddy was one of the he caught it. 00:47:28 Speaker 2: He caught some shots on Two Birds One Stone, right, Yeah, there had some disagreements. Yeah. 00:47:31 Speaker 3: So I mean it's like, listen, man, I understand listen, and and I can only assume what this is about. When there's two of the biggest artists, it can only be two things that this beef is about, first and foremost to me, as far as I'm concerned, I won't say what There's only two things, two things that this could be about. Women and if it is just like come on, man, put that shit in, you know what I mean, Like, let's get past that shit and just get back. 00:47:50 Speaker 2: To the art. Man. 00:47:52 Speaker 1: Listen, man, But life for the party. So because of this beef, we got an amazing record. But I still think on both behalfs Kanye and Drake, that was one of the cornier things I've seen them do on two behalves. We'll break down the verse in a second, but I don't understand how you guys hear that three stacks verse Drake, who we know is extremely close with his mother, Kanye, who we know has lost his mother, and heard that type of pain come from somebody's mouth to then say, let's add this as a chest piece in our corny beef that everyone in the world but us two are over. And when Kanye hears that verse says, I'm doing a Donda album, He's speaking to my mother, to his dead mother, and then I'm gonna go and rap about a Drake beef. I think they're both corny and used thousands pain for their bullshit. 00:49:06 Speaker 3: It was just classless. It was a bad, bad They didn't read it. He Kanye didn't read the room. 00:49:13 Speaker 1: Nor did Drake well, and I don't know that Drake was the one that was behind leaking it. 00:49:17 Speaker 3: But yeah, no, so that's why I can't. I can't spread things that are wrong. So yeah, that's why I can't say it because I don't know who leaked it. I don't know who was behind leaking it. I'm just saying, as far as you know, just the energy around it. It was just a misopportunity for the fans to receive this record, even though we received it as a leak. But you know, you know what I mean, Like I would have loved to just fort this record to be on the actual album. I think Andre three thousand reminded us why he's been held as one of the greatest rappers artists that we have in our culture, because whenever he decides to, you know, pop out and and give us some art, it's always something that we just enjoy and love and it hits us in a a different way. 00:50:01 Speaker 2: This was really special though. 00:50:02 Speaker 3: This was like a real, real special verse, you know, real heartfelt a lot of emotion, you know, just the way he was talking to Kanye's mom who passed about his own mother that passed and saying, if you see her, you know, telling these things and tell it. 00:50:21 Speaker 2: I just need a sign. It just showed me, show me something to let me know she's still with me, you know what I mean. 00:50:26 Speaker 3: Like, I thought that that was real special. And you know, he addressed a lot of things and people saying he was weird and he was high all these years, and he was kind of like and he was like, nah, you know, I wasn't even smoking all those years. I was, I was chilling. I just thought that it was classic. It was a classic way for Andre two thousand to show us that he hears a lot of the shit that people says about him, and he has a lot of reads a lot of the things that people, you know, post about him, and but he's just like, listen, I'm living my life on my terms. 00:50:53 Speaker 2: I'm not. 00:50:54 Speaker 3: I don't subscribe to a lot of the things that the world subscribes to these days. I walk around playing a flute. You catch me in the airport playing the flute. I told you. I saw arm two three thousand standing on thirty fourth Street by the old Victoria's Secret Store, just standing. 00:51:08 Speaker 2: On the corner. Everyone in New York City has met him and c yeah. 00:51:10 Speaker 3: I'm just like it was almost like double take, Like it was that three stacks like and he was just standing there and he was like, oh, what's up. 00:51:16 Speaker 2: I was like, oh okay. 00:51:17 Speaker 3: But you know, that's why he's he's one of the special artists that we have because he does. 00:51:22 Speaker 2: Things and he on his terms, you know what I mean. 00:51:24 Speaker 3: He's not with and it's refreshing to see people still carry themselves in the way where they don't get pulled into a lot of the bullshit, which is why this was kind of corny to me, because in a weird way, you pulled three thousand into some bullshit and you know what I mean, And it was like that to me was the unfortunate part, Like you know he does, he's not about none of this shit, and here y'all go putting him in the middle of some shit, and it's just like, fam, I don't want to have anything to do with any of this shit. You asked me for a verse, I gave you a verse, and now I'm smacked dead in the middle of some shit that I know nothing about and don't care about. 00:51:58 Speaker 1: You could see it in his response, which Andre three thousand does not reply to things, especially off of a verse, off a record, in the public, put out a public statement. He doesn't do that, so you can see his hurt in Hey, listen, I've never lost a parent. It's one of my biggest, biggest, biggest, biggest biggest biggest biggest biggest fucking fears, and then to have to talk about it to the world is just something I couldn't even fathom. So for him to do that and have those those conversations with Kanye about this being a concept of losing our mothers, to then hear Kanye's verse that wasn't about that, and then to have the person he was talking about leak his pain that you know, he would probably like a say, and how it's going to be released. Absolutely, I can feel how annoying that is, but I do want to get a little nerdy and get into this verse. This is the first verse I think in I don't know how many years that like literally made me choke up. 00:53:05 Speaker 3: Well, it was, yeah, because it was you know, it was you could just you could hear it in his it would see R three three thousand. To me is because he just understands it. He's one of those dudes that just even in his tone on the record, you know, even in his emotion is a. 00:53:21 Speaker 2: His approach. 00:53:22 Speaker 3: Everything was really really just it felt like this was something that he said to himself in the privacy of his own home and speaking to his mom and praying and stuff like that. That's what it felt like to me. This felt like something that he said, you know, to alone, to his mom. 00:53:38 Speaker 2: Thoughts of greeting. 00:53:39 Speaker 3: Yeah, like it just greathing in real time, right, and it's and it's kind of like that's what to me. That's what bothered me the most about this, this leaking was because it was so intimate and it was so personal that I felt like it was given to the to us the wrong way. And I was like, you know, this was a missed opportunity one, but it just wasn't you know, don't get the full art of it because it was given it was given to us the wrong way, you know what I mean. And that's why I was like, damn, like I so hundred three thousand amazing verse. But it was just so special, you know, to be on Donda and you know it again, it's unfortunate because it you know, it fell into some bullshit. It fell into you know, the middle of some bickering and some quote unquote beef. And this is not what this is about. This is a This puts all of that shit to the side. This puts life in this verse put life into perspective, you know what I mean. Like, we can beef and bicker all we want, but this is what life is. This is the seriousness of life. This is how delicate life is. This is how fragile life is. And it was just a real intimate, private, personal, heartfelt, emotional verse that I think just felling, you know, stumbled into uh unnecessary drama. 00:54:50 Speaker 2: And you know again, I. 00:54:53 Speaker 1: Want to get into the concept of the verse. I know, of course, the concept of it, the concept of okay, one thousands verse of telling this to Donda, of course, the obvious Donda album Kanye's Mother Past two. Talking to as dondam it reminded me, do you have like that eld like that other mother that you talk to about your family? Because I don't care how close you and your mother are, there are certain things that you just don't talk about that you would like to talk about. But there's still that mother's son component there. We're not friends, right and we are still family and things just certain things I just can't tell you, Like, for example, my friend Raven, her mother, we talk a lot. I talk to her a lot about certain things I can't say to my mom, certain things from my childhood. I can't say to my mom that I would like to, but it's probably not the right place or time to do so. But there are things you need to say and you can only really say them to a mother, Like, I could talk to my friends all day about certain shit, but you can only talk to a mother sometimes about motherly shit. So just that concept of talking to another the mother about all the shit you have kind of had in your head about your mother's life, your family's life, is such an incredible concept to me to begin with. 00:56:08 Speaker 2: And I don't care that I'm nerving out on this type of. 00:56:09 Speaker 1: Shit, but going into that grieving process, I feel like when people die, we either immortalize them in the sense that they were the greatest human being that has ever lived, or they were a piece of shit. It's typically, I feel like how things go when people die. Humanizing both your parents and your experience with them after they pass and then sharing that with the public. 00:56:36 Speaker 2: Is some shit. 00:56:37 Speaker 1: I couldn't even really fathom, like to really put that in perspective after your mother dies, because all you want to do is be like, well, she raised me, she was the greatest woman ever. But Andre three thousand has one of those rappers that can say so much in one bar and mean a thousand fucking things to even say. Of course, if I'm doing a tribute to my mother, I want to say all the amazing things, But him, adding him, I really miss her overstepping. Yeah, and we all have had that type of experience with a parent where you feel like when people pass there are certain things that I know, we don't like to admit it because it's taboo to say, but you do have some relieving feelings in certain places. They weren't a perfect person that you don't have to deal with on certain things. So to add in those little tidbits of putting your parents in a human level of saying, yeah, there was just some kids. My mother spited my father. That was wrong, but she was a hurt woman. Does my father have shame over it? Like going through your real childhood after they passed is some real human shit? To me, it's not, Yo. She was the greatest mother. She did everything for me, She struggled. I'm here because of this. Of course we all know that story. This is a real one to me. 00:57:53 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:57:53 Speaker 3: And the reason why this was special was because out of all the tracks on the album, on the Donda album, I think this was the one that kind of summed up what I thought the album was going to be about. When I heard the title, Yeah, right, Donda, which is Kanye's mom who passed so this was like, to me, this was this summed up. 00:58:16 Speaker 2: A lot for the meaning of the album. 00:58:18 Speaker 3: And you know, like you said, for two of these artists whose mom mom's transitioned, it was just you know, a beautiful, beautiful, intimate, honest verse and that you know, again, I'm just I'm mad we didn't receive it the way we should have received it. This is kind of like, you know, spoiling a surprise party. Yeah, and this is what it felt like to me. It's like, damn, this would have been amazing. You know, even it's still an amazing piece of art, but it's like we didn't receive it the way I think we should have. 00:58:47 Speaker 1: And to even get into like back to the idea of things you kind of wish you could share with your mother about your childhood, of maybe intimate moments with you know, when you had to keep that a secret because teenagers really supposed to be fucking and the church party, y'all can debate. I'm give fuck about that, yeah, but to me, that was like he probably wanted to have that conversation with his mother at one point because you all the things that you would probably need your parent through as far as losing virginity, getting into that sexual experience, going through puberty and all that type of things. We're trained to hide those things from our parents. You can never really have those conversations. I think that's why a lot of time shit gets fucked up and doesn't go correctly because you really got to hide that shit. 00:59:31 Speaker 3: But that was the beautiful part about this is because he, like you said, he was talking to Kanye's mom, like, can you tell her? 00:59:38 Speaker 1: Because I don't want to tell you no. But that's like with the Raven's mama thing. There's so much things I would love to tell my mother about my childhood, about my teenage years, but I just don't think we're there yet, right Love, We're just starting to get to that point where I can tell her certain things that happened already. So that's why that concept is so ill. And even to go deeper on that mother concept of him saying, the other girl's mother knew, but she was gonna let us experiment. Remember that cool mom conversation we had a long, long, long time ago that there was always the cool mom in the crib. We did it in a joking way, but I don't I don't think we ever got into how important the cool mom kind of is. The cool mom in my neighborhood actually came with my mom to the Maroon five show. She set up an environment where it was safe, but she really let everybody explore in that basement. She knew what was going on down there. Nobody was leaving that fucking house. She knew who was coming in and out of that house. She knew the things that would have been needed, i e. Condoms, things like that. She would have those types of talks with people that was in retrospect. I used to think, Yo, I was the wildest house ever. First time I ever touched a vagina, first time I touched the titty, first time I got drunk, first time I got high, first time. I had a lot of first times in that basement, and we always talk it is a wild fucking place. 01:01:03 Speaker 2: No, it wasn't. It was the safest fucking. 01:01:05 Speaker 3: Place exactly exactly. And that's how my home was growing up. Like my mom was the cool mom. But it's funny because as cool as my mom is and was when I was growing up, it's still a lot of things that I would never do for my mom, of course, and my mom smokes weed. I have never smoked with my mom, and I don't think I ever will. It's just certain lines. I just feel like I can't. I can't cross with my mom, you know what I mean, Like even though she knows I smoke, but I can't see me sitting down smoking weed with my mom. I just can't. It's still my mom, you know what I mean. Like, but she was always the cool mom. She would rather us be in the crib than to be outside doing dumb shit, you know what I mean. If y'all want to have a party, come have a party at the house. Don't be in somebody else's crib. I don't know that neighborhood, and it's a safe place to explore when you're under exactly exactly exactly. But you know, to me, that was special, man, that was special for uh Andred three thousand to give us a verse in that way. And like I said, with the title, the title of the album being Donda and this was just like you know, this was to me, this this this completed the album, you know what I mean, because again he just gave us a real intimate, honest, uh you know, special, heartfelt, emotional, you know verse about his mom and still and you know, paying tribute to Kanye's mom as well. So I'm just, you know, I'm just it's just unfortunate that we got it the way we did to me that I think that that was unfortunate. And again, I don't know what this. You know, it's it's like you said, Rory, it's it's weird. Now it's to a weird point. I don't know what this Drake Kanye thing is about. At first, it came off as competitive, which is always great. 01:02:40 Speaker 2: But now it's reached. 01:02:41 Speaker 3: A point where it's like, you know, certain things are being said, and you know, Kanye is saying certain things and Drake is saying certain things. And now it was kind of like, you know, it's kind of like if you know, you see two people arguing and it's you're like, yo, they's serious or it's still like a little just joking, like you know what I mean. And I think it's gotten to that point now where it's like this may be more serious than I think we thought it was. 01:03:05 Speaker 1: At first, I can tell by it and they're both obsessing over it. But yeah, they're both two obsessive. 01:03:10 Speaker 2: People, naturally both get it. I get it. 01:03:14 Speaker 3: But now, like I said, it's to a point now where if it starts to affect the art, now it's a problem. Or other other people's are or other people's are someone like Andre three thousand that we barely funck from you. But then when we get to hear from him, he gets to tell us about his mother in the past. Right now, we may we may not ever hit Andre dwo thousands for the next six years. 01:03:32 Speaker 1: Now, Like, of course, I mean terrified, even though I was so happy he said in that statement that he would love to work with Tyler. I love to work with Jay, love to work Kendrick, there was a few other names. 01:03:42 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:03:43 Speaker 1: I do hope that that actually does happen, and I hope people think off that that to reach out to him, because I think a lot of people think, no, three sacks don't want to fuck with me, and they don't hit him up. 01:03:52 Speaker 2: I think he needs to be hit up. 01:03:53 Speaker 3: Well that's good because everybody shouldn't be hitting Andre dwo thousand first of all, first and foremost, like let him say that he wants to work with you. Yeah, you know, I mean, don't certain artists. You should never even think about anybody, you know what I mean? Like don't even play yourself. 01:04:05 Speaker 1: I mean Kendrick could reach out to Oh no, absolutely, I think Tyler could reach out absolutely absolutely, because Tyler, I mean, Tyler is a three thousand. 01:04:13 Speaker 3: He's an outcast baby, you know what I mean. You look at the art and you know the way he presents itself, the aesthetics of everything, like you can definitely tell the influence of Andrew three thousands lives in tow. 01:04:21 Speaker 1: But no, just this this verse. And I was talking to ninth too, from like a music standpoint. Knife was breaking down every last i mean, outside of the obvious with voice control in his tone and how he made it so conversational. Knife was talking about the pockety picked before the horn, and I was like, I mean, he's yeah, he's the fucking greatest. 01:04:41 Speaker 2: No, No, he like I said, he he does. 01:04:43 Speaker 3: Dred th thousand is just you know, he's just a very special part of our culture. He's a very special element in our culture. And again I'm just I'm just you know, it's unfortunate that we just received it this way. 01:04:54 Speaker 2: That's all. 01:04:55 Speaker 1: Of course, he was quote unquote trending when it happened. So my ig feed a bunch should three stacks interviews came up, and an old one came up. Someone asked him like why he stopped rapping, and he was saying, hip hop is hip. You gotta think of the first word. It's got to be young. If not hip, what's the point. I don't know what I could really offer to the game right now. And that made me sad because then you get moments like this, this is an amazing offering, like this works more than we've ever needed its work. Yes, you can continue to be who you are. You don't have to change what you did or what you want to continue to do and still offer hip hop like it's only hip when you're trying. When you're the old dude trying to do what the young people are doing, then you're not hip. You're yourself and can still offer the world. Hip hop is growing in age, like it's a very young r form. People get older, you be old and still put out music. It still matter absolutely, But I think it's you know again. 01:05:56 Speaker 3: I like the way three thousand moves in the sense of he doesn't oversaturate, hisl he doesn't, you know, give too much of hisself. He lives on his own terms. He moves on his own terms. If he's not inspired to, you know, work with certain artists, he just doesn't do it. No matter how big the artist may be, he's not going to do it. And there's something special about that. And I think that a lot of people should take a page out of it, because a lot of people do oversaturate themselves, you know what I mean. Like in this court, it's like, you know, you got to keep yourself some type of like, you know, keep your art to yourself most of the times, and don't put so much of yourself out there because again, like you said, you give us this art that you may feel so intimately about and so personable about, and then we tear it down in ten minutes, you know what I mean. So it's kind of like keep someone that shit to yourself. And I think that a lot of these artists should take a page out of undred two thousands book. As far as the way he moves, None of you are hundred two thousand. Let's be clear about that. You need to give us more music. Yeah, some of y'all need to give us more music, but take a page out of his book as far as the way he moves and just being inspired and being true to his art and true to himself. 01:06:58 Speaker 2: Yeah, and to wrapped his verse up in that topic. 01:07:02 Speaker 1: This was like that realization I had in my twenties that oh my god, my parents are just two people. Eat holy shit, they're what the fuck? Those are just two people that were trying to figure it. 01:07:14 Speaker 2: The fuck out. They were eighteen. 01:07:15 Speaker 1: They all did they both did bad things to each other. Oh my god, they're not superheroes. 01:07:20 Speaker 2: Holy shit, They're not perfect. Why did I expect them to be that? 01:07:22 Speaker 1: But no, this was great, And this I think was a perfect example of this was like when you go to the club and you don't like to go to the club and then fight breaks out, and you know, that's why I don't. 01:07:32 Speaker 2: Go to close. Yeah, exactly, that's that's that's that's perfectly put. That's a three seconds. Absolutely. 01:07:38 Speaker 1: I came out, got my best fit on. You know I don't come out. You invited me and said it was going to be my vibek. Yeah, this is why I don't come outside, exactly exactly. I do want to ask you, do you think that was interesting? 01:07:51 Speaker 2: You said the weed thing. 01:07:53 Speaker 1: You probably couldn't There a certain lines you could never go over with your mother and I'm going through that now with my mom wants certain things to share and do around her. Aink that line 'll ever get erased. 01:08:04 Speaker 3: I don't think so, man. Like, it's just my mom is always going to be my mom no matter what. You know what I mean, And it's certain levels. It's just certain levels of respect that I just will always have, Like I try not to even curse in front of my mom. I hate that my mom listens to the podcast sometimes because I know she hears things that sometimes I don't want her to hear. 01:08:23 Speaker 2: But it's just like that's mom. Man. 01:08:26 Speaker 3: It's just certain things that I just never ever want to expose my mom about me, even though I mean, she knows. 01:08:32 Speaker 2: My mom knows me. 01:08:32 Speaker 3: She she she asks certain questions without asking certain questions. 01:08:37 Speaker 2: And you know, there's some things she knows already. They know. Listen. 01:08:40 Speaker 3: One thing I learned, and that's why it's really crazy, is because one thing I learned about my mom is that she knows everything about me, whether I tell her or not, Like she knows everything about me, like and it's just like sometimes I decide to tell her something and she's like I been do that, Like I knew that, Like you think you're telling me something that I don't know about you, Like I know that I know my son. 01:08:59 Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, my father says, I have the user manual on you. Exactly it perfectly, That's what my father says me. But you know, again, it's just certain things I just can't just it's just my mom and I'm not I mean, I don't really mean cursing or smoking weed per se. I guess I just mean certain conversations because I've started to learn. I know, we were joking about the Maroon five shit, and I was like, damn, I'm starting to learn more about my mom in certain settings. I'm started to have conversations about my childhood with my mom, about certain things with her and my father. And because we've gotten into the space that, you know, she knows that I'm an adult and have reached a place mentally as an adult that we can have those types of conversations where she knows she doesn't protect me on certain things. But within that you kind of fall into even like cooler shit you just learned about your parents that they were hiding from you, Yeah, just because they didn't want to look they wanted to be a good example. 01:09:50 Speaker 3: I think that's something that that's a great way of looking at it, like you know, and having that that type of conversation, you learn things about your mom, you know, or your dad that you didn't know, like, oh shit, I didn't know like you were. It's like, yeah, you thought your mom was just your mom all her life, Like you know, I had a life before I had you. And so it's a lot of things that I learned about my mom just in certain conversations. But again, it's just certain things that I just like, it's mom, Man, I don't want to I don't want to tell my mom how I was slammed piece of shorty last night. Like even though she knows, you know what I'm saying, Like she knows me, so she's like, you know what I mean, Like, yeah, I know as long as you walk kind I'm like, I don't care, like you know what I mean. 01:10:23 Speaker 2: It is what it is. But it's just certain lines that it's still like, oh, that's mom. I can't do that. 01:10:29 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not saying tell her what positions you had Shorty in but oh. 01:10:33 Speaker 2: No, don't get in. 01:10:34 Speaker 3: You know, she knows her son is a freak. She know that she knows that that that's not my mama. 01:10:39 Speaker 2: Look at me conversations with you. 01:10:41 Speaker 3: She won't blink, she won't even blink if you tell certain things like oh that I could have been told you that. 01:10:46 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:10:46 Speaker 1: No, man, I have this idea that I that I want to do not just with my mom, but with a lot of my family. And it's where podcasting kind of sparked the idea. And when my grandmother passed at the repass talking to her younger sister and she was just telling me just off the cuff stories about my grandmother that I never knew and all this, and I was like, this sounds like a podcast. But I would never release this podcast because it's our intimate family shit, right, but we should make this a family podcast. It never gets released, but everyone can tell their whole story. And how ill would it be if you were fifteen years old and then your father passed down a bunch of MP three's that told you your whole fucking lineage up until your great grand bather. 01:11:35 Speaker 2: That's fire. 01:11:36 Speaker 1: So yeah, I think when we have if we're blessed to have our family here and we're blessed to have this technology here, it should form together. 01:11:45 Speaker 3: Yeah, at some point, and so I get what you mean. In some way, we should figure out a way to do that. Yeah, and even if the family just keeps it, oh no, no, I don't want to release anything. No, just to pass on like from generation to generation. Let's but my family anymore. Somebody gonna got onto one of my uncles, give them a couple hundred you'll release that, release that family pod my uncles and let that ship fly. And and it's like, all right, now everything is out there. 01:12:10 Speaker 2: Here's the difference. No one. 01:12:12 Speaker 1: No one cares about my family's lineage. They might care about yours. 01:12:19 Speaker 3: Bridges and tunnels and ship like that's listen, that's some important ship in the city. 01:12:23 Speaker 2: Man. 01:12:24 Speaker 1: All right, Yes, they built the bridges, but they were only driving over them to go listen to your family make music. 01:12:31 Speaker 2: That is true. I didn't think about it. 01:12:32 Speaker 1: Like bridges are timeless, but not in the same way. Not in the same way, not as not like no. 01:12:36 Speaker 2: One drives over this, Like I wonder who made this. Yeah, but that'd be dope. Though. 01:12:42 Speaker 1: That was a lot of music. Yeah, I bad everyone, but we had to do it. We had to do those breakdowns. We don't usually get a Drake album and a leaked Andre three thousand verse that doesn't happen very often. Is there anything else that we should we should address while we're here. 01:12:57 Speaker 2: Oh, let's get some more important things. Uh, would you ever would you break up with your. 01:13:01 Speaker 3: Girl if she if you found out she had a threesome with two guys, not like cheated on you and did that Like this happened before y'all got together, Like say, y'all was just talking one night and she's like, yeah, you know one night, you know, I had two guys that I was cool with and it just kind of just happened. 01:13:17 Speaker 2: It kind of just happened. 01:13:19 Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate when women say that. I've had more than one woman saying. 01:13:24 Speaker 2: That to me that it kind of just happened. It kind of just happened, and it pissed me off more. 01:13:27 Speaker 1: Yeah, because I would have respected you more if you would have been like, no, that's what I wanted to do and I just did it. Yeah, I could respect you off that when you started be like I don't know, like I was just in one thing led to another feelings and like I just went this way and things happened so fast. No, that's not off really quick. 01:13:44 Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. 01:13:47 Speaker 1: And now if it's with two dudes, now there was, they would take its You could make it. You had double the time to figure it out. I like to pretend that I'm I'm well, not to pretend I think I am one of the more understanding and secure people that one would would that would throw my head for Yeah, that hurt only because I like, I don't like to put things on people that I've done before too. 01:14:17 Speaker 2: I can't. 01:14:19 Speaker 1: And it's not a train, it's a threeesome. I've never fucked a girl with my man's because I think it's weird. It's a really weird thing to me. It's a weird concept. I'm not saying if that's your kink. If that's your thing, more power to you go do it all the way, no judgments for me. 01:14:34 Speaker 2: It's just not my thing. So I like it. 01:14:37 Speaker 1: That's weird, And then the dudes you did it with gotta be weird. 01:14:42 Speaker 3: I'm yeah, I think I would break up with my girl, Like if she told me she had a threesome with two guys. 01:14:49 Speaker 2: It's kind of. 01:14:50 Speaker 1: Like, well, how far into we are we into the relationship. I don't care how far I am. 01:14:55 Speaker 3: No, I don't give a fuck, how far If I find out you let two guys. 01:15:02 Speaker 1: And we finally do shrooms together, five years stops and things just start coming out. 01:15:07 Speaker 2: This is what a five years stop. 01:15:08 Speaker 3: We can still be cool, but I can't because you know why, I'm never gonna be able to look at you and not think about that vision that Yeah, like I just weird thinking of the vision. 01:15:16 Speaker 2: It's just like two dudes at the same time, was just on top of you going to town. 01:15:22 Speaker 1: I just say I understand the male pride, and I know I'm the one that usually will find understanding and certain things. 01:15:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, that one is. 01:15:29 Speaker 3: And I know everybody has it tough. That's what I'm saying. That hasn't passed and all of that. I get all of that, but it's just like, it's just certain shit you shouldn't be doing. 01:15:37 Speaker 1: And then me, especially with people that I love, I try to do my best to rationalize things, and to rationalize things, it takes details. It takes me to understand where what your point of view was during it and what was going on. And I don't want to know those details because it's just gonna make it worse. 01:15:52 Speaker 2: This know what I'm saying. And imagine if it's like two dudes. 01:15:54 Speaker 3: That's like, you know when you see certain dudes, like he doesn't look like the cleanest dude, Like, what if it's like one of those dudes. 01:16:00 Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what I'm saying. It's like. 01:16:07 Speaker 1: What if the other dudes clean. It's kind of like they cancel each other out and like a math thing. Yeah, pem does what is it called? You just carry the one like he may be dirty, but the clean god got in there afterwards. 01:16:20 Speaker 3: And that's like a real situation. Oh, slamming on her? Nah, you and the marriage. You got mad because I said I will break over her after five years? 01:16:32 Speaker 1: Well, imagine imagine your girl going well, not one of them was cleaned, Oh my god. 01:16:39 Speaker 3: Pemic pemic is an acronem used to mention the order of operation. No, Rory, I'm not as kids. 01:16:46 Speaker 1: Pem dos is a math thing from high school, Rory, you went to city public schools. Probably I probably was abtient during I don't know, maybe I don't remember pem do whatever the fuck it was, Ry, I haven't been to high school in twenty years, bro, But is like a staple. Pem dos is up there losing your virginity. 01:17:03 Speaker 2: Okay, well, yeah I didn't. 01:17:05 Speaker 3: Yeah, remember parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, edition, and s attracts. 01:17:09 Speaker 1: Actually the only thing in math that actually like really makes sense when you get into that way. 01:17:12 Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, so subtraction. You got to subtract yourself from the relationship at that There you go. 01:17:17 Speaker 2: Because she was multiplying. Because she was multiplying vagina exactly exactly, they put They put her in the parotia. Man, see, thank you, thank you for this pleasure, shorty. In parentheses she was in it got exactly. So, yeah, I'm breaking up with her. How would you break up with her? I'd be like, yo, listen, man, you know, I know we all have a past, and we all have done things that you know, we're not too happy about. But it's like there's certain things I just can't look past, and you laying down with two men at once is just like I can't get past that. I'm sorry, she. 01:17:50 Speaker 4: Breaks up with you for have hading a three something she fucked up? 01:17:55 Speaker 2: Is she fucked up? Yeah? No, I'm lit. 01:17:59 Speaker 1: Listen, there's can we call spadas, babe? Yes, double standards exist. It exists. We all use double standards as a buffet because some double standards make sense. 01:18:09 Speaker 2: Absolutely. 01:18:10 Speaker 1: There's ship about double standers with men that are not fair at all. Also ship that's double standards of women that are not fair at all. But I'm gonna use the ones that work on my end. YEP, getting fucked by two dudes is not the same as a guy having three someme with with two girls. It's not demastics not I'm sorry. I know we're all positive now and I agree with it. No, but let's just call a spadas spade. It's not the same thing. I've gotten past that it's a train. I've gotten to the understanding point that it is a threesome, but it's a different type of threesome it is. 01:18:39 Speaker 2: I'm with Rory on this one. 01:18:41 Speaker 1: And girls like girls where I'm from exactly, So it's okay if I do it because she might have liked both them shicks, I promise you cut it. 01:18:57 Speaker 2: That is fucking hysterically. I probably know they do that where I'm. 01:19:05 Speaker 1: From, that where I'm from. If you just put beliefs on that that would be funny and keep it. Girls like girls where I'm from. So I think you might have liked those girls, and I may have not liked the gentleman that she decided to let her put her in parentheses. 01:19:24 Speaker 3: But do you have you ever noticed the one guy that comes around and your girl just has like this different energy which she's always happy to see him. Uh, they always take great pictures of each other. 01:19:37 Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. 01:19:39 Speaker 3: Do you ever have you ever like asked your girl like yo, y'all ever did anything like or you just kind of just like, yeah, mind your business. But it is my business though, right If it's my girl, I think it is. And this is a guy that we see all the time when we hang out, Like he's a guy that's always around. 01:19:57 Speaker 1: If that's my girl, it changes things drastically, Yeah, because here's always been my thing. Your past is your past, right. Of course, there's cliff notes in that, it's not just far prints fine print for sure, But for the most part, your past is your past. 01:20:14 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's who you are. 01:20:15 Speaker 1: I don't particularly want to sit here and listen to you talk about your past like that, just kind of out of sight, out of mind. 01:20:20 Speaker 2: I just know everyone has fucked a bunch of people before I'm thirty one years old. 01:20:25 Speaker 1: I do ask, though, if we ever go into a room or a situation or something I don't need to know the details. Just give me a heads up. Yeah, just so I know how to move. I am still a man with pride. Just let me know how to move. Yeah, you just want to know who? So you don't want to know how? Just yo, Just I need to know. Yeah, that's it. I don't need to know how many times. I don't need to know what the situation was. I don't care how it ended. I just need to know. All Right, men move crazier than women in a lot of caddy ways, So I just need to know how I'm gonna have to deal with this dude if he makes a facial reaction, I just got to have some info so I know what that facial reaction means. 01:21:05 Speaker 2: So you would actually girl like yo, Like you. 01:21:07 Speaker 1: Know, i'd ask her ahead of time, which I had with every woman I've been with when I was like an adult adult, especially in some of the spaces we move in. Just in general, always let me know if there's there's something that I should know going into, especially a. 01:21:24 Speaker 2: Type of work environment or something like that. 01:21:26 Speaker 1: Right, But I've definitely peeped some times where I'm like, she didn't tell me. I could feel it, y'all. Have amazing chemistry. You should probably fuck tonight. Y'all have better chemistry, way more than I do. 01:21:43 Speaker 3: If y'all did fuck yet y'all, y'all are going to word Yeah, yeah, I know what you mean, but no, I'm not too proudful to ask that. 01:21:49 Speaker 2: It's just more of a you gotta let me know. Yeah, I don't. I don't. I try not to ever ask a woman like specifically who she's been with or but it is certain times where you just know it's an energy, it's a certain type of chemistry with her and certain guys, and you just like, yo, like I ain't you know your past is? Your past is? You know? 01:22:10 Speaker 3: But it's like, how well do you all know each other? Becuse y'all seem to be like on they'll finish each other's sentences, and he knows your favorite drink and you know what I mean, It's like, I just need to know, like what's going on? 01:22:22 Speaker 2: All right? 01:22:22 Speaker 1: Let me ask you this and we can wrap what hurts more if you know if you know Shorty has been with this dude, but you're cool with it, like it is what it is. 01:22:34 Speaker 2: You all end up in the same party, the same room, whatever, y'all moving around. You're not threatened, You don't care. 01:22:41 Speaker 1: She sees him and her face lights up a little bit and they have a good rapport and a good hug. Or are you more upset if she stand offish and mad that he's in the room, Oh, if she's obvious? Answer, I don't think is the right one. No. 01:23:01 Speaker 3: If she's standing officeh and mad, that's there's still a certain he's still tapped into you emotionally somewhere. 01:23:06 Speaker 1: I'm way more upset. If she's upset that he's in the room. You still can Yeah, yeah, you still care about him? And then I gotta, I gotta, I gotta pop on this nigga. Now, now I gotta go across his head with a bottle, Like that's just how I feel. 01:23:18 Speaker 2: Don't ruin my night because you still got feelings for this guy? Yeah that he here? 01:23:22 Speaker 1: Yeah, like please, like please have your face light up and hug him and pretend to be friends. 01:23:26 Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's but hold on, because that's a that's a two way street. Because now what if her face lights up whenever she sees this guy and he hugs her. But what if it's the type of hug where he picks her up and like spins her around, like can. 01:23:38 Speaker 1: We get into can get back to reality? Get back to it? That happens? Where does that happen? 01:23:44 Speaker 3: Come on, son, the nigga definitely lifts your shorty up off her feet and like spun her around. And one, I hadn't seen you so long because one thing, there's one thing I have not done. 01:23:56 Speaker 1: About it about things that make me look crazy all the time in this podcet. So you should know I'm being dead ass of a girl. If a dude pick my girl up and spin her at a party, no, I'm picking him up and spinning around at that party. 01:24:08 Speaker 2: You gotta be out of your fucking mind. 01:24:10 Speaker 1: Yea. 01:24:10 Speaker 3: By the time we spin around, I'm standing right there like your fan on the spinning around. When he turned back around, I'm right there on him. Yo, my man, let me talk you outside real quick. Yeah, no, for sure, I'm with you. 01:24:19 Speaker 1: No, I'm popping wild. He's in her arms. He gotta lift both us up. 01:24:25 Speaker 2: Now now. 01:24:29 Speaker 1: Now we all spin it. Yeah yeah, yeah, no, that's a fact. I'm gonna put her right in the parenthesis. She's gonna be in pemdas she would get trained by two guys. Again, I'm with you on that. I'm with you on that you can't let a nigga pick your girl. 01:24:39 Speaker 2: But that does not happen, y'all align to me. It happens. You've been picked up before it in front of you. Man. 01:24:45 Speaker 5: First of all, men don't even pick don't do that to me in public, okay, saying it might be a new relationship, so he might not know that you're ord. 01:24:54 Speaker 2: Well you know now if it's a group of y'all, wait, but hold up, don't do that because to pick up a woman in the hugging type of thing, it's a ninety ten thing. 01:25:05 Speaker 1: It takes ninety of you and ten of her to accept the pickup. Yeah, so don't do that like it's some she knows that I'm there. 01:25:13 Speaker 5: You look crazy if you stopped him from hugging, like like crazy and it looks obvious. 01:25:18 Speaker 2: Oh what does she give him? Like the two hands like stop? 01:25:22 Speaker 3: Like if she give him to stop with the two hands on his chest like he go to pick up He's like, come on, you know this was your favorite when I used to spin you around and you're sitting right there sipping your cosa Migos. 01:25:33 Speaker 1: Rory the bottom next to me, Yeah, but call me the bottom next to me, the bottom neck. 01:25:37 Speaker 3: Yes, but call me. I'm gonna come sp the block. I'm gonna come spin the block. But you don't worry about it. 01:25:42 Speaker 2: Just call me. 01:25:43 Speaker 1: So I got you spin my girl, I spinning the block. 01:25:48 Speaker 2: That's some funny shit. Man. I still again, I still don't believe you. But it's cool. No, it happens. I've seen it before. 01:25:53 Speaker 1: It happens for sure, not in front of their man. 01:25:56 Speaker 2: Yeah, does he have nuts? I don't know. 01:25:59 Speaker 5: I've never seen him and he didn't react afterwards. But you can't say that it probably. 01:26:02 Speaker 3: Doesn't go yeah, because he might not know. He might not He might not know. Homie might not know that you you there with your man, or you date someone. 01:26:11 Speaker 2: I said, it's a ninety ten things. She gotta go with it. 01:26:13 Speaker 5: With the hug, with the booty grab. 01:26:15 Speaker 3: Nah see see see No if you grab my girls ass, now, the whole the entire spot get shut down now, like everybody's fighting. Like I'm fighting everybody, Like you know what I'm saying. Who invited me here? I'm fighting him, I'm I'm fighting a waiter. I'm I'm fighting I'm fighting everybody. Everybody has to fight. Don't grab my girls ass. You can't do that. You got to know you can't do that. 01:26:38 Speaker 2: This is getting me anxiety. 01:26:39 Speaker 3: Don't worry about it. Were gonna get you off this topic. Yeah, but on some more uh other news, sad news. Unfortunately and uh there we lost a staple in our culture. H staple in New York City culture. Hell yeah, Michael K. Williams uh passed away. Uh this week sad tragic news to receive it definitely, Uh caught us all by surprise. I opened my phone and I saw that I couldn't believe what I was reading. Yeah, and this was a you know, if you never met Michael uh, he was one of those guys that his energy. Man, he was such a down to earth, humble uh, a true true hip hop head. His energy was just like he was just such a pleasure to be around. 01:27:30 Speaker 2: Man. 01:27:30 Speaker 3: If you're ever in the same room with him, he had this look if you you know, if you never met him, he had a look that may intimidate some but not but it didn't like it did. Yeah, Like his his look didn't match his personality. Like he was such a cool dude man, and you know, it was so unfortunate to hear about his passion. 01:27:53 Speaker 1: It's a small type of sentence that we say a lot. But you could you can catch Michael in any spot, and I. 01:27:59 Speaker 2: Mean anyway, I mean anyway. 01:28:01 Speaker 1: You could be at like some crazy dive bar in the Lower east Side. 01:28:05 Speaker 2: Anybody is that? Is that Michael K. 01:28:07 Speaker 1: Williams Because he was just that such of a down to earth like New Yorker. I'm not even saying with New York because I've seen him out in some dive bars in other cities. 01:28:15 Speaker 2: YEA wait, hold on, is that what like what you're doing here? 01:28:18 Speaker 1: He was his like he was just wanted to be himself and be around ship that was authentic to him, not what an actor is stereotypically supposed to be. 01:28:28 Speaker 3: Yeah, he wasn't. He wasn't. He wasn't the stereotypical actor. He didn't you know, he was. He was still one of the one of the home boys, you know what I mean. Even if you didn't know him, if you met him one time, you felt like you knew him for forever. He had this infectious energy, you know, he was just he loved people, He loved having real conversations. Even if you were a complete stranger his first time meeting you, he would have a real conversation with you. Remember the first time we met, I felt like, this was my boy, this was my hommie, this was exactly that I grew up on. Yeah, it was just like it was. It's crazy how just natural the conversation was. And it's just so unfortunate man, just to hear of his passion, and you know, it definitely was something that caught me off guard, and it hurt me deeper than I thought it would, honestly, Like I didn't think that, you know, hearing about his passion would hurt me the way it did. 01:29:17 Speaker 2: But that really really hurt me. 01:29:20 Speaker 3: So prayers to his family, Prayers to his friends, colleagues, uh, anyone that had the opportunity to meet him and that you know, got close to him. I know that it's a sad time and a hard time for for everyone, but you know, let's let's let's keep his his his spirit alive. Let's let's greet each other with the same energy he greeted us with. Let's uh, let's love each other. That was the same way he loved all of his friends and his family, Uh, you know, and let's let's have the same passion for the art. I think that's one thing that I take away from him. He has such a passion for hip hop and and house music, and you know, acting that he put his all into it. He gave it as all. He put all of his his his spirit and his energy into whatever he was doing. And I think that that's something that I can take from from coming into you know, conversation with him, is that he was just so passionate and so if he was doing something, he was giving it all. 01:30:12 Speaker 2: You know what I mean, He's putting us all into that. 01:30:14 Speaker 3: And that's something that I think that you know, we need to take from from him and his passing and his legacy is that to give it one hundred percent. Man, don't don't, don't leave nothing on the table. Go hard, love what you do, do what you love, and love one another while you're doing it. 01:30:29 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:30:29 Speaker 1: What really fucked me up on what was that on Saturday Sunday Monday Sunday was over day. I was thinking about the times that I've been around him, and like you were saying, he'd be made you feel like you had known him forever. The moment you got to know him, and it kind of felt like that quality I love so much about him may have also been part of the reason of his passing like he had. When I say he had this certain sadness about him, I don't mean it in the way that you guys are probably thinking, but it's something I identify with. And that type of sadness makes you identify with any walk of life easily, like you could find things in people easily, just because your sadness makes you, I've guess more introspective. I don't when he's that word again, but it just makes you find great qualities in people because you felt so many shitty qualities before. And that just kept racing in my head. Of like that why I loved him so much may have been why he was, you know, in this position that he was fighting for his life. That just made me even more sad. Of why I loved him so much is may could have been that because he could identify, he could make you feel like, he could tap into you so easily, because he understood the human brain and he understood feeling so much. He had felt so much, then he could find anybody and find what they felt and connect with them, which is such a beautiful quality in somebody. But that's the catch twenty two of having that quality. You fight with yourself over it and it fucking sucks. Yeah that you know, he was such such a good dude, real cool dude, real real cool dude. 01:32:14 Speaker 3: If you never had the pleasure of meeting him, man, trust me when I tell you, just a solid, solid individual, super down to earth. Like I said, you can find him in the most random of spots and you know, literally just hanging with people, hanging with his crew. You know, it's his people that he loved. 01:32:32 Speaker 2: Yeah. So you know, again, prayers and condolences and rest in peace to Michael K. Williams. And so you're saying how he took his craft. 01:32:41 Speaker 1: We all know Omar was one of the greatest TV characters of all time. 01:32:46 Speaker 2: That was said. 01:32:46 Speaker 1: That was said well before everybody knew that. What I don't think a lot of people do talk about. You know how taboo that role would have been to take, especially from somebody from e He's flatbush. 01:33:02 Speaker 2: Mm hmm. 01:33:03 Speaker 1: I'm gonna be playing somebody gay and it's going to show up on Hammerton. It's not just going to be said, We're gonna show it, and for somebody that just speaks to Michael's character of one accepting people and it not mattering, and to how serious he took his craft. 01:33:21 Speaker 2: If we're gonna do this, We're we're gonna do this. 01:33:23 Speaker 1: And at a time when the wire came out, it wasn't the most progressive times at all. No, he's not probably from the most progressive place. I'm sure that neighborhood may have probably said something like come on, man, for sure, so so ahead of his time in that representing that community, showing how masculine that community can be, and not giving a fuck what who you grew up with thinks, like right outside of Omar, the character that part, I just think spoke so much much to whom Michael was as a person, not Omar selflessness, Like, yeah, man, I don't can I know who I am? 01:34:05 Speaker 2: Right? Community is fine with. 01:34:07 Speaker 1: Me, absolutely absolutely, But yeah, rest in peace, Michael Kay Williams. Prayers to his family, Prayers to his son, m h. I'm not if he has other children. I really apologize. I was just aware of one son, but yes, prayers to. 01:34:22 Speaker 2: His family absolutely, But yeah, I. 01:34:27 Speaker 1: Didn't mean to get sad. Really, we really liked Michael a lot. 01:34:30 Speaker 2: No. 01:34:30 Speaker 3: Absolutely, that was like I said, that was that was tough to to receive that news. And it's still tough to you know, to have it like really sink in and and and come to terms with it. Man, it's just you know, it's unfortunate, really really unfortunate. But in other news, uh, what we gotta just look forward to this weekend? 01:34:48 Speaker 1: Are you doing uh? Are are you hitting any fashion week events? 01:34:53 Speaker 3: Absolutely not. I think that fashion Week should be eliminated from New York. You don't think we're fashionable anymore, not that. 01:34:59 Speaker 2: We're not fast. 01:35:00 Speaker 3: I think the city is just's we just have so much shit going on on a regular day. We don't need more reasons for traffic. We don't need more reasons for gridlock. We don't need more reasons to not be able to find parking. Like it's just like enough is fucking enough. I just feel like fashion Week is every other month, this gash. Your week in New York is every week. Every week is fashionable shit going on on the sidewalks, Like when people are dressed, they look good, women look good, they look great. Like It's like, we don't need a week designated to say Hey, We're gonna bring all of the designers in the world and have them showcase their new line. 01:35:36 Speaker 2: And it's like, all right, we get it. 01:35:38 Speaker 1: New York is to me the epitome of fashion. Like I feel like you can't do fashion and not say New York. I feel like everything, Oh no, listen, look for your dress. I don't dress fashionable, so. 01:35:51 Speaker 2: You look great, man. 01:35:52 Speaker 1: I still feel like New York is fast. You got to do fashion week in New York. It all comes with New York to me, like, maybe do this ship in j is he even calls that? 01:36:01 Speaker 3: Or how do I just like put everybody on a big ass cruise ship and then send that ship out to like the Hudson River somewhere, and like, have that ship there. 01:36:09 Speaker 2: I think I saw this in Dark Night. Yeah, they have that ship. Have that ship. 01:36:13 Speaker 3: Have that ship there, right, and then like when it's done, everybody can dock and then like leave. 01:36:19 Speaker 1: You want to know why Rihanna's funny to me? For a post Rihanna has If you don't think she was done with music, She's now a party promoter. She posted a regular ass flyer on her ig that had the email. 01:36:32 Speaker 2: To RSVP. 01:36:35 Speaker 3: Who has that email. I would love this world, has it? You know, like who's controlling it? Like who's who's answering the email? There's no way that is a function of email. 01:36:43 Speaker 2: No, not at all. 01:36:44 Speaker 1: And I want to know what, Like what type of emails you think hit that inbox? 01:36:47 Speaker 2: Fam? Come on, do one? What do you think the ratio of dick pics were? Oh? 01:36:52 Speaker 1: There and there they're doings and thousands for sure, but how many? Let me tell you who my client is. Who's nobody? Email came in there? 01:37:01 Speaker 2: Come on, man? Is that real? 01:37:03 Speaker 1: Like? 01:37:04 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's right there. Here's the thing. 01:37:08 Speaker 1: If event, if Rihanna is planning a met Gala after party and says, don't plan one because she's doing one, I'm gonna plan one because y'all not getting in it. 01:37:17 Speaker 2: You're not getting in that. 01:37:19 Speaker 1: This is my perfect time to plan a party. You can get your shit off right now for sure? Absolutely all right, fucking Gallipaloosa. See all there, see how the Gallupaloosa. Let's fucking do it, man, fuck it. But I thought that was hysterical that she she posted this with the rs VP email and the time. 01:37:37 Speaker 2: And it's just private event. 01:37:38 Speaker 1: But I mean, out of the email I'll see if I get us a plus one. Yeah, there will reply promptly. 01:37:44 Speaker 3: Yeah, I think they'll reply to our email. I think if we shouldn't email and we try to get on the list, I think they'll I think they'll they'll respond to that, they'll get us in there. 01:37:51 Speaker 1: But have you ever looked at one of those like party email rs VP things. No, They're the funniest thing on planet Earth, the amount of things that the way people try to validate their client or themselves, Like damn, like yo one time, like when Cutty and Oh nine, I took photos of them, like they'll break down their resume like you have would not believe to get in just to get. 01:38:15 Speaker 3: Into this part of Yeah, I'm not see you know me, Rory, I could care less about these type of events and these parties and shit like that. Like I don't. I don't try to go. I don't try to you know, reach out to anybody to go. I just don't. It's just not something I'm into like that. So, I mean, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be great. I prepcire everybody's gonna look great. I'm sure Rihanna's gonna look amazing. But I could see I opened my Instagram and see what's going on. 01:38:38 Speaker 1: I just want to know what they The only thing I care about the MET Gala is what they do inside, because I think that's where they decide where our tax dollars go. I think like it's Illuminati eyes wide shut thing. I think there's weird orgies in there. I think the moment they all get in all them gowns and shit that, yeah, I think those are immediately gone and they're all in like the same knit suit. 01:38:59 Speaker 2: They don't have fun. 01:39:00 Speaker 1: Weird things over their eyes and they're all doing rituals. 01:39:02 Speaker 2: Oh so like at Kanye release party. 01:39:04 Speaker 1: Yes, I think I think Kanye finally gave us what happens inside the MET Gala, got you? 01:39:09 Speaker 2: Oh got it? 01:39:11 Speaker 1: I think they sacrifice a rapper in there, sacrifice the three thousand verse. Yeah, like check on little YACHTI after this, there's always and I'm not saying Yacht's this, but there's always like a rapper that's hot and like we're like, damn. 01:39:26 Speaker 2: They got that. 01:39:27 Speaker 1: They got that Met Gala invite off like just that one single and then they disappear. The comminator, Like do you think Designer was sacrificed. I'm not saying his physical body, but like his career. Do you think was like sacrifice that a met Gala wants. 01:39:41 Speaker 2: No, Okay, I don't think so. 01:39:43 Speaker 1: I think for all their careers to continue on, they have to take someone hot at the moment and sacrifice. It's like it's like when they drink the blood of unicorns to stay young forever. I think they got to sacrifice somebody's career at the met Galon. How they do it is they they put this light out as young artists, Like, all right, fuck, I got an invite to them that gala. 01:40:01 Speaker 2: I made it. 01:40:02 Speaker 1: No, you didn't, sir, we made it. We made You're gonna continue. You're gonna be some reason why we continue. 01:40:10 Speaker 2: Your career is fucking over after this. 01:40:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a reason you're you're confused by. Yeah. 01:40:15 Speaker 3: No, I'm cool on these type of parties though, I get it. Everybody dresses up, looks great. But like I said, once you got Instagram, you open Instagram, you can see what's going on. You don't need to be there. 01:40:24 Speaker 1: All right, wait, wait till we get invited and they try to sacrifice our podcast career. 01:40:30 Speaker 2: Have fun. Yeah, so that's about it. This weekend, I'm not I don't have any plans. 01:40:36 Speaker 1: I'll be at biggies that night. I'll be on Clinton. 01:40:39 Speaker 3: I still have never been there. I gotta go. I gotta get I gotta stop by there. I gotta see how it is. I see a lot of people frequent that place a lot. I gotta check it out. I just like to see the little cool everyone. 01:40:51 Speaker 2: It's nice. Yeah, I gotta check it out. And where would you want? You don't have to wear a gown my type of ship. 01:40:56 Speaker 5: Uh. 01:40:57 Speaker 2: Any plans this weekend? No, I don't think so. Yeah, I think so though. Yeah, No, no plans. Uh. 01:41:03 Speaker 3: NFL season is back. I don't know if you're into a fantasy football. 01:41:07 Speaker 1: I am, but I was kicked out of every league the past two years, so I gotta find new friends. 01:41:13 Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I think I'm gonna try to follow the NFL again. I started a little bit the last two years. 01:41:18 Speaker 1: Maybe look at how look at how he turned your back on Caps. 01:41:21 Speaker 3: I mean Cap he signed a deal for me to do like I was riding with him as long as he Yeah, but I mean the cause is kind of. 01:41:28 Speaker 2: Like, yeah, he took a track and the fuck it you know what I mean, It is what it is. 01:41:32 Speaker 3: Still still still a huge Cat fan, but I'm I'm gonna try to get back into football. Go Buccaneers, Go Brady. That's all I know. I'm still a Brady fan. So it is what it is. Uh Baby keen Alvin Tomorrow. Yeah, baby became Ari's uh new single Pressure single. You had a chance to hear it when I was in Atlanta. JD played it for me real dope. I like, sounds really really good. Album is really really good. 01:41:56 Speaker 2: Now we have some of Walker's album is the one we're looking forward to now, right, But I think we're gonna get Ari in summer around the same time, I hope. So is there a bee festering? Of course not. They love each other. 01:42:06 Speaker 3: Okay, I was trying to start some bullshit. Yeah, So I'm looking forward to Ari's single Pressure. I loved it. I'm looking forward to Summer's album. I think album is. You know people are gonna love it. It's from what I heard, is again easily one of the best R and B albums in the last haven't many years. Yeah, man, but no plans this weekend. 01:42:27 Speaker 1: UH twentieth anniversary nine to eleven. 01:42:30 Speaker 3: Yeah, sort of watched the documentary on Netflix about it. The documentary was fucking crazy. 01:42:36 Speaker 1: Twenty years That's that's fucking crazy. 01:42:38 Speaker 2: Did you watch Clickbait? I'm gonna started this weekend. That's actually my weekend plans. 01:42:42 Speaker 1: Yeah. 01:42:42 Speaker 2: I watched. I watched the first five episodes that Shit Is Fired. Really good. 01:42:49 Speaker 1: Good to see Vince Fince's back on really good. 01:42:51 Speaker 2: Thanks Green. I watched. 01:42:54 Speaker 3: I finished Godfather Harlem the second season. Great, great season. 01:42:59 Speaker 2: Uh? What else did I finish? Over the weekend? 01:43:04 Speaker 1: I watched Worth What You Had to Do with nine eleven. It was about the story of the lawyer that had to negotiate, if you will, all the settlements for everyone that lost the family member. 01:43:12 Speaker 2: Okay in the nine eleven attacks. It was interesting. Okay, it was interesting. 01:43:18 Speaker 1: You gotta sit, like, don't look for action, you gotta sit and like like dialogue and like lawyer stuff. 01:43:24 Speaker 3: Yo, the the the older I get, you know, and watching the nine to eleven doc uh, it's crazy that we lived through that, Like and watching that ship on the in the documentary and remembering, you know, being awake and watching the news and watching all that shit happened, and then watching the whole city was just like the uptown was a dead zone that with no cops, there was nothing. Everything was closed, all stores were shut down, and it's just crazy to see that again, like all the footage and know that you lived through that, to see those buildings fall, and to see you know, the aftermath and the clean up and every you know, the work is down there trying. 01:43:59 Speaker 2: To sort through all of that rubble and debris. 01:44:02 Speaker 3: And all of that, trying to find human remains, and it's just crazy to watch that shit and realize, like, this wasn't a movie. This was something that happened right down the block from here, you know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, it's like it's fucking insane. But you know, if you get a chance to watch it again, you know, watch the document nine to eleven. Like you said, the twenty year anniversary, it's hard to even fathom watching I don't even like calling it an anniversary because it's not something you're want to celebrate. 01:44:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's you know, it happened. 01:44:30 Speaker 3: So Prayers to the families that were affected by that, Prayers to everyone that was affected by that, Yeah, and all in New York City, New York City, tri State, anybody around the world, because there was other events in DC, Depentagon and the crash in Pennsylvania, so it was other pieces pieces of the world that were affected by that as well. But yeah, if you get a chance to watch that, yeah, make sure you watch Clickbait because I like, I want to talk about it next week. 01:44:53 Speaker 2: We started this weekend, especially Vincent chasing it. 01:44:55 Speaker 3: I'm cool, all right, man, I'm gonna go and take fill myself over some black seed oil and a whole bunch of other herbs and ship over the weekend man, and try to get right. Please cut these fucking a c's off. The summer is over. The summer was fucking terrible. I'm on record saying this. The summer was trash. I don't give a fuck with anybody else thinks this summer was terrible. 01:45:15 Speaker 2: That might have been worse than the quarantines. This was. This summer was fucking terrible. 01:45:19 Speaker 1: But I don't care. Falls Here my favorite season, soah falls here to. 01:45:22 Speaker 3: They turn those fucking acs off, all these restaurants turn the AC off. 01:45:25 Speaker 2: You're killing me. 01:45:26 Speaker 3: I fucking hate it. And now I gotta go fucking docting myself back to one hundred percent. But we'll be back next week. That's the ginger bit, man. I'm all y'all be safe. 01:45:39 Speaker 2: No Wolli and nond
