Revisiting WWF RAW is WAR 1997 - Go-Home To WrestleMania 13, Bret Hart SNAPS!

DEADLOCK: A Pro Wrestling Podcast

"THIS IS BULL.."

We're on the road to WWF WrestleMania 13, but before we get there, we have to set into the WAR ZONE. That's right, it's WWF Monday Night RAW is WAR, which is a really long name that eventually is just WWF RAW is WAR! There's a lot of big matches coming up on this PPV, and we get a little piece of all of them on this very show.

Of course, this is the episode of RAW where Bret Hart, after a main event cage match for the WWF Championship against Sycho Sid, loses his mind. He feels like everyone is against him, and he decides to take out that frustration verbally after pushing Vince McMahon down to the canvas! That main event also includes run-ins from Stone Cold Steve Austin & The Undertaker, who both want their opponent at WrestleMania 13 to leave this show with the WWF Championship, so they can get a shot at it.

Also on this show, we get to hear from Shawn Michaels, who just recently returned to the WWF, and we get an updated on his condition. Faarooq & Ahmed Johnson are barred from ringside during a match between the Legion of Doom & the Nation of Domination, which leads to some backstage chaos between the two. Ken Shamrock is here to scout a legend in Aaron Ferguson, and Billy Gunn also happens to be here getting in the way of that.

Of course, we have to mention the REAL main event; Mini Vader & Mini Mankind take on Mini Goldust & Mascarita Sagrada. It does not get any better than this.

All of that, and much more, on this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast!

<v Speaker 2>Night Raw.
<v Speaker 1>Home in nineteen ninety seven on March seventeenth, is WrestleMania thirteen.
<v Speaker 2>A little go home show to wrestle Mania thirteen And
<v Speaker 2>you might all know it is also the episode where
<v Speaker 2>Brett Hart gets really mad and says this is bullshit.
<v Speaker 2>And that is pretty much while we watched this because
<v Speaker 2>we haven't covered that yet and we were excited to
<v Speaker 2>talk about it and oil boy, what a show it is.
<v Speaker 1>Before we get into that, of course, we have the
<v Speaker 1>Deadlock updates.
<v Speaker 2>The updates rs follows number one. Who if you missed it,
<v Speaker 2>because there's a chance that you did, because there was
<v Speaker 2>a lot going on in Deadlock in the past week
<v Speaker 2>or so. But we did drop another podcast on Saturday. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>that means that over like the span of a week,
<v Speaker 2>there was including you know this one or the last one.
<v Speaker 2>There's three podcasts that came out, so we covered Lucha
<v Speaker 2>Underground episode three uh and we also, of course on
<v Speaker 2>last week's pod covered ECW Hardcore TV. So if you
<v Speaker 2>miss those somehow because there's been a lot going on,
<v Speaker 2>then you should go back and check those out because
<v Speaker 2>those are very nice to listen to and we have
<v Speaker 2>a good time and we want you to have a
<v Speaker 2>good time with us. Okay. Also, patreon dot com slash

<v Speaker 2>so many more of you join us along the way.
<v Speaker 2>And there is so much to watch over on patreon
<v Speaker 2>dot com slash Luck PW, especially after you listen to
<v Speaker 2>this podcast, because when this podcast is done, then you
<v Speaker 2>want to go listen to the Deadlock podcast after show,
<v Speaker 2>which is on the Patreon in the five dollars and
<v Speaker 2>above tier there's a video. Of course, it's not just audio,
<v Speaker 2>it is a video after show. And we do this,
<v Speaker 2>that and the other. We've the last one we did
<v Speaker 2>last week we began a Pokemon fire Red nuslock And
<v Speaker 2>by we, I mean James said you want to do this,
<v Speaker 2>and I said, I've never done it, yes, And then
<v Speaker 2>we did.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I've never done it either. It's been fun.
<v Speaker 2>Oh I thought you had.
<v Speaker 3>No.
<v Speaker 1>I've never done a nus lock myself. I might have
<v Speaker 1>maybe I dipped my toes in one a long time ago, but.
<v Speaker 2>Give it a little sture.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Yeah, I will say this much about the three
<v Speaker 1>shows that we did in the past weeks.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 1>There were three after shows also for those three shows.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, there's just a ton of content. Man Like,

<v Speaker 1>I'd like some more whatever the fuck. Yeah, that's the
<v Speaker 1>place to be.
<v Speaker 2>We got more of whatever the fuck for you, especially
<v Speaker 2>on patreon dot com Slaze Deadlock PW, so go check
<v Speaker 2>that out. Also in the ten dollars and above tier.
<v Speaker 2>A new retrosinc is now up on the Patreon. Dave
<v Speaker 2>Dubai weekly creates a retro sinc for us, the Official
<v Speaker 2>Deadlock Retrocinc. And on this episode he did a retro
<v Speaker 2>sinc for the highest rated episode of Raw from May tenth,
<v Speaker 2>nineteen ninety nine. I believe that also notoriously. For some reason,
<v Speaker 2>the only thing I remember from it was the main
<v Speaker 2>Street posse against the Stooges. That six actually so much. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>you can go relive not only that episode, but our
<v Speaker 2>review of that episode with the Deadlock retro sink in
<v Speaker 2>the ten dollar and above tier right now on patreon
<v Speaker 2>dot com Slaze Deadlock pew. And now it's time to
<v Speaker 2>talk about the retro.
<v Speaker 1>All right, let us get into Monday Night Raw for
<v Speaker 1>March seventeenth, nineteen ninety seven. World Wrestling Federation for over
<v Speaker 1>fifty years, the revolutionary force in sports and entertainment.
<v Speaker 2>That's what they do say, James. They do say this.
<v Speaker 2>We are on the go home to wrest Wresmania thirteen.
<v Speaker 1>Poo.
<v Speaker 2>But before we get into this retro, let's take a
<v Speaker 2>look at what was going on the water wrestling at
<v Speaker 2>the time. With the Wrestling Observer newsletter from The Observer
<v Speaker 2>March seventeenth, nineteen ninety seven and WCW news, Dennis Rodman
<v Speaker 2>became the latest media star of the moment, brought into
<v Speaker 2>pro wrestling as a publicity stunt. In an announcement made
<v Speaker 2>by WCW over the weekend, Rodman Rodman, the regularly suspended
<v Speaker 2>current leading anti hero of the NBA Chicago Bulls, who
<v Speaker 2>is a movie coming out this week, will be a
<v Speaker 2>part of the nWo group and appear on the ww
<v Speaker 2>uncensored pay per view show on three sixteen in Charleston,
<v Speaker 2>South Carolina, and What Make is believed to be two
<v Speaker 2>additional appearances with WCW as a participant in matches, the
<v Speaker 2>first of which is tentatively planned on the seven thirteenth
<v Speaker 2>Bash at the Beach pay per view in Daytona Beach.
<v Speaker 2>WCW was able to outmaneuver the WF, who was also
<v Speaker 2>pursuing Rodman. The WWF had offered Rodman a two show deal,
<v Speaker 2>reportedly for a one million dollar fee, the first of
<v Speaker 2>which would be have been in WrestleMania to appear in
<v Speaker 2>gold Dust Corner to attempt to help the faltering gold
<v Speaker 2>Dust character. What the Fuck Get helped the faltering Goldust
<v Speaker 2>character get over stronger as both a babyface and as
<v Speaker 2>a mainstream bizarre cult figure. The second of which would
<v Speaker 2>be a SummerSlam Payer Review match in August, where he
<v Speaker 2>and gold Dust would have formed a tag team. However,
<v Speaker 2>Rodman's representatives since Rodman worked a ww pay review in
<v Speaker 2>July of ninety five, as Hogan's cornerman for the Batch
<v Speaker 2>of the Beach in Huntington Beach, California, went to WWW
<v Speaker 2>match the offer. WI pulled the deal off for an
<v Speaker 2>undisclosed figure, although you'd have to figure they'd at least
<v Speaker 2>match the wf's offer, if not top tits in some fashion,
<v Speaker 2>since there were several incentives for WCW to do so.
<v Speaker 2>Rodman in the nWo was I mean, everyone fucking talked
<v Speaker 2>about I think you know people we will talk about
<v Speaker 2>him being in that. Do you think that Rodman with
<v Speaker 2>gold Dust would have had as much of a cultural
<v Speaker 2>impact as Rodman in THEWO.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just thinking right now of like Dennis Rodman and
<v Speaker 1>Hulk Hogan and they were smoking penises. That was like
<v Speaker 1>the big media thing they used. It wasn't really a picture.
<v Speaker 1>It was like a little video of them rowing.
<v Speaker 2>It coming out.
<v Speaker 1>Just thinking now that like Marlena was always smoking penises.
<v Speaker 1>Oh so maybe in a different universe, Dennis Rodman, gold
<v Speaker 1>Dust and Marlena are smoking penises and that's what's used
<v Speaker 1>in history.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, And they pull up to like a red carpet
<v Speaker 2>event because they like, fuck the movies, they do oh,
<v Speaker 2>and he has a movie coming out.
<v Speaker 1>What movie is that?
<v Speaker 2>He wasn't an action comedy movie called Double Team with
<v Speaker 2>John Claude Van Dam.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, Wow Van Dam. He was in NCW at the time.
<v Speaker 2>Him and Rob Vandam and does Parlanta smoking penis is
<v Speaker 2>on the Red Car. But this would have been huge.
<v Speaker 2>From The Observer, March twenty fourth, nineteen ninety seven, the
<v Speaker 2>future of the Ultimate Fighting Championships, Extreme Fighting Championships and
<v Speaker 2>the success of the upcoming Extreme Championship Wrestling pay per
<v Speaker 2>view shows all took turns for the worst over this
<v Speaker 2>past week due to what basically amounts to a controversial
<v Speaker 2>issue of cable system pay per view censorship. The NHB
<v Speaker 2>No holds Barred industry took a major hit this past
<v Speaker 2>week with the announcement that Telecommunications Inc. The largest cable
<v Speaker 2>chain in the country, will no longer carry the shows.
<v Speaker 2>So this is pretty big here, and I think this happens.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know how much it actually ends up affecting ECW,
<v Speaker 2>but I know UFC gets super fucked by you know,
<v Speaker 2>pay per view censorship, and you know, I don't know
<v Speaker 2>if they're already coming out of having to go underground
<v Speaker 2>here or if we're still in the weeds of that.
<v Speaker 2>I think we're probably still on the weeds of that
<v Speaker 2>for a minute here, where like you know, this no
<v Speaker 2>holds barred stuff is like soon frowned upon in you know,
<v Speaker 2>a minute before their business it ultimately almost dies because.
<v Speaker 1>Of it, from what I understand. Yeah, they had to
<v Speaker 1>make a big push for like regulations and rules and
<v Speaker 1>trying to make an actual sport out of it, you know,
<v Speaker 1>because right now, Yeah, I mean we've watched the early UFCS.
<v Speaker 1>It's pretty much a lawless land.
<v Speaker 2>Ye, no rules is literal. They actually really had no rules,
<v Speaker 2>and then the rules that they were bringing on wasn't
<v Speaker 2>really helping anybody's safety.
<v Speaker 1>No, no, no way. We watched some fights where dudes
<v Speaker 1>got soccer kicked in the top of their head, got
<v Speaker 1>punched in their balls to shit repeatedly. Yeah, Like, there's
<v Speaker 1>such a crazy spectrum of fights that we watched. It
<v Speaker 1>could be a match with Hoyce Gracie where they sit
<v Speaker 1>on the ground for an unlimited amount of time.
<v Speaker 2>Or wrestle.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we could watch two guys not trained somehow two
<v Speaker 1>hundred and fifty and zero in mixed marks, Larns come
<v Speaker 1>in and just immediately both of them just die in
<v Speaker 1>the center of the ring.
<v Speaker 2>No wonder it was fucking getting some steeze, right. It's
<v Speaker 2>funny though, I guess I never even thought of it.
<v Speaker 2>Like the fact that that and ECW were in the
<v Speaker 2>same like talking points is pretty interesting. Like obviously ECW
<v Speaker 2>was doing a bunch of hardcore ship but like what
<v Speaker 2>was like the cable network's just getting worked and they
<v Speaker 2>just thought it was like the same, like, Okay, you
<v Speaker 2>just put your extreme on something, it must be fucking
<v Speaker 2>super bad. Not that ECW wasn't doing crazy shit, but
<v Speaker 2>like it's not a UFC fight.
<v Speaker 1>If you ask Kurt Angle, it's even worse. I imagine
<v Speaker 1>what it really was was that it was called Extreme
<v Speaker 1>Fighting Championship, the other deal they had, and they just said, okay,
<v Speaker 1>so this must all fall under the same umbrella.
<v Speaker 2>Last few things here from The Observer March thirty first,
<v Speaker 2>nineteen ninety seven and WCW News. If there is anything
<v Speaker 2>that comes out anywhere, Meltzer says, and this may wind
<v Speaker 2>up in something like the National Inquirer regarding Ray Masiro
<v Speaker 2>Junior and one of the women from the cast of Friends.
<v Speaker 2>It is one hundred percent of work. I mean, that's
<v Speaker 2>good on Meltzer for looking out for his boy here Raybisterio,
<v Speaker 2>who was one hundred percent fucking Jennifer Aniston.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that was the deal, right, it was Raybysterio and
<v Speaker 1>Jennifer Aniston.
<v Speaker 2>How the hell did he get the iggy first before
<v Speaker 2>it came out on the Inquirer. Like, I still don't
<v Speaker 2>understand why this was a thing.
<v Speaker 1>The Raybisterio and Jennifer Andison or just the National Inquirer.
<v Speaker 2>In general, A fair fair I can understand how the
<v Speaker 2>National Inquirer is over, but the uh yeah, more so
<v Speaker 2>the Ray fucking Jennifer Andison story, which to this day
<v Speaker 2>I still decide to believe.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even know how the National Inquirer worked.
<v Speaker 2>I think it's just you just lie, like what, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you can just lie whatever you want and uh, all right,
<v Speaker 2>just get on there.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, no one could check any of this, get the
<v Speaker 1>magazine and like call it a fucking day.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, especially here, like when the internet's not as crazy, right,
<v Speaker 2>like fuck, Like all your gossip came from the news
<v Speaker 2>and the National Inquirer.
<v Speaker 1>The Aliens have landed in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Oh wow,
<v Speaker 1>did you look at that? All right? I guess I
<v Speaker 1>got work in the morning.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I guess. Not that she really mattered as much.
<v Speaker 1>Then, No, no, it didn't because it was never near you,
<v Speaker 1>no matter what you were reading, it was just never
<v Speaker 1>near you, at least as how it was for me.
<v Speaker 1>She just got lived in the middle of nowhere.
<v Speaker 2>You know, maybe some things might have been closer to Philadelphia, but.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, I bet a lot of this stuff was
<v Speaker 1>like that. For sure.
<v Speaker 2>Aliens weren't coming to Philadelphia.
<v Speaker 1>I'll tell you that Aliens landed in Philadelphia, met an
<v Speaker 1>eighty seven year old grandma and then beat her ass.
<v Speaker 1>Aliens win Daddy.
<v Speaker 2>Award, Aliens going to eat CW Show and are offended
<v Speaker 2>by Raven's.
<v Speaker 1>Act the alien side.
<v Speaker 2>Meltzer says, supposedly, oh, this is WC News. Continued, by
<v Speaker 2>the way, supposedly as a parting shot on the way
<v Speaker 2>to being fired, Eric Bischoff told Disco Inferno that for
<v Speaker 2>the rest of his life he'd never be able to
<v Speaker 2>get another job making eighty thousand dollars a year. There's
<v Speaker 2>a non compete clause in his contract, so he can't
<v Speaker 2>go to Titan for at least three or four months.
<v Speaker 2>So my feeling is Meltzer says, the rumors of him
<v Speaker 2>being Honky tonk Man's secret protege won't be the case.
<v Speaker 2>There's so much to fucking so. I think this is
<v Speaker 2>around the time he like refused to lose to Jacqueline.
<v Speaker 2>I think is what happened here. So they were like
<v Speaker 2>saying fuck off. Then he was gonna go to wf
<v Speaker 2>B Hockey talksman, They like, Bischoff has a fucking u
<v Speaker 2>a mission to kill that place. Yeah, son of Disco
<v Speaker 2>to see what they could do with them. Oh fuck,
<v Speaker 2>we need the disco inferno.
<v Speaker 1>You know what they should have done. They should have
<v Speaker 1>taken like they should have taken all the shitty acts
<v Speaker 1>from WCW and pushed him for like three weeks and
<v Speaker 1>then released them so they would have like negotiation power
<v Speaker 1>with the WWF. And then like WWF is signing a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of people from WCW thinking that these are the
<v Speaker 1>top guys over there, and then like they just totally
<v Speaker 1>played him. That would be crazy. Disco shows up and
<v Speaker 1>he beats Brown, he grabs a mic and they cut
<v Speaker 1>him off. Who's making eighty thousand dollars a year now?
<v Speaker 2>A disco ball comes out, he starts fucking dancing. All yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I look at him, looking at him, Go, he's great.
<v Speaker 2>Last thing here in WF News to counter the Miss
<v Speaker 2>Slammy Bikini contest, ww is going to have Sherry and
<v Speaker 2>Nancy in a piloting contest. The fuck is going on here? Through?
<v Speaker 1>What a great counter?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? Like what why not have Sherry and Nancy have
<v Speaker 2>a kick ass fucking match or something?
<v Speaker 1>The hell is the Miss Slammy Bikini contest?
<v Speaker 2>I think it was like they did a contest and
<v Speaker 2>who are Like they got to vote whoever at the
<v Speaker 2>best bikini and they won Miss Slammy.
<v Speaker 1>Well, if I had the option to pick who has
<v Speaker 1>the best bikini? Or who ate the hell out that pie?
<v Speaker 1>I mean I probably checked the pie one out.
<v Speaker 2>And hopefully to Jerry's there.
<v Speaker 1>Tommy Dreamer or Raven already did the pie deal.
<v Speaker 2>During They're hot angle for some fucking reason. I'm not
<v Speaker 2>sure what they were doing there.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I just had to get that off.
<v Speaker 4>You know, pie was hot to pop the boys and
<v Speaker 4>the Chance Demon Tommy Dreamer for like a cartoon. Tommy's
<v Speaker 4>just floating through the air over to the pie like
<v Speaker 4>his nostrils.
<v Speaker 2>Well that is it for the observer. Now let's talk
<v Speaker 2>about jumping me Monday night, Raw is War March seven teenth,
<v Speaker 2>nineteen ninety seven.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we kick off Raw here with the new intro.
<v Speaker 1>Why am I the thorn in your eye?
<v Speaker 2>Dude? I mean this song one kicks ass to fantastic intro.
<v Speaker 2>You know, it's never really explained why this is what
<v Speaker 2>it is. It just kind of kicks ass. Like there's
<v Speaker 2>dudes frantically running out of a warehouse because I'm at
<v Speaker 2>Johnson Is shooting fucking bazook is into the place like this.
<v Speaker 1>Is They're dropping bombs and shit.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like stone colds here to also blow up some shit,
<v Speaker 2>and then the boys got to get some working. So
<v Speaker 2>it's fucking Bretton Awtins, fucking this is fucking U the
<v Speaker 2>funk you dojo.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, this is what looks like if you ever go
<v Speaker 1>to wrestling train and by the way, and then to touch.
<v Speaker 2>That's how all the best wrestlers came out of schools
<v Speaker 2>like that.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even know why. Like I was looking at
<v Speaker 1>this intro here and I was thinking back, like what
<v Speaker 1>if I was flipping through the channels in nineteen ninety seven,
<v Speaker 1>and like, I'm just thinking back to when I was
<v Speaker 1>a kid, and like the TV just seemed larger than
<v Speaker 1>life to me. I don't know why, of course, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it was just like an escape, I think, and like
<v Speaker 1>flipping through the channels and just seeing a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>bombs going off and dudes fighting in a ring, like
<v Speaker 1>I bet you like that was like the coolest shit ever.
<v Speaker 2>Oly shit, yes, dude, Like I mean, I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>You know, obviously TV was probably a lot different than
<v Speaker 2>it was, you know, when raw first started, compared to
<v Speaker 2>fucking ninety seven, but like, hell, yeah, dude, like there
<v Speaker 2>what kind of fucking shit like that was on TV
<v Speaker 2>at the time at all.
<v Speaker 1>I actually looked up a few key things that happened
<v Speaker 1>in nineteen ninety seven television. Oh okay, I couldn't find
<v Speaker 1>a ton of stuff, but I found a couple of
<v Speaker 1>things just to kind of lay the land for where
<v Speaker 1>we're at in ninety seven.
<v Speaker 2>And yeah, put me in the world.
<v Speaker 1>Well, King of the Hill just debuted. Ooh, Tunami debuted
<v Speaker 1>on Cartoon Network. So cartoon network is a thing. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>Johnny Bravo, do you remember that show?
<v Speaker 2>I dude, I do.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, south Park actually just debuted.
<v Speaker 2>Ninety seven, what I think that was later?
<v Speaker 1>Wow, yeah, it said Southwark had just debuted in nineteen
<v Speaker 1>ninety seven. And of course, like if you want to
<v Speaker 1>look at the wrestling shit right, like we're coming up
<v Speaker 1>on the Montreal screw Job at the end of the year,
<v Speaker 1>staying hope. Yes, but this was like March, so this
<v Speaker 1>was early ninety seven, And honestly, like most of that
<v Speaker 1>shit happened late ninety seven, So by like early ninety seven,
<v Speaker 1>I mean flipping through the channels and just seeing a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of bombs going off in Piro and like sold
<v Speaker 1>out arena, You're just like, Wow, this is fucking awesome.
<v Speaker 1>It kind of reminds me of like Monster Jam. Monster Jam.
<v Speaker 1>When I was young, I was like, this is, without
<v Speaker 1>a doubt, the coolest thing I'll ever see in my
<v Speaker 1>entire life. I will always I will always watch.
<v Speaker 2>Cause that's kind of like wrestling, Like that's kind of
<v Speaker 2>like this presentation entirely, like you got the gimmick fucking
<v Speaker 2>trucks and there's it goes off the thing and it
<v Speaker 2>explodes and everything's fucking loud, And.
<v Speaker 1>To be fair, Monster Jam is still pretty badass. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>but like yeah, but like you know, compared to the
<v Speaker 1>cultural relevance it had back then, I mean, good god,
<v Speaker 1>almighty Monster Jam was so popular. And maybe it's because
<v Speaker 1>I grew up in the South, but like, no, Monster
<v Speaker 1>Jam was huge.
<v Speaker 2>No, it was fucking big near me too. I mean
<v Speaker 2>everyone knows Grave Digger, everyone knows it's it's a gold
<v Speaker 2>dust of monster drugs.
<v Speaker 1>What a ruhhhhhh.
<v Speaker 2>And that's when we finally get an intro here, Legion
<v Speaker 2>to Doom come out, uh and Vince finally introduces the show.
<v Speaker 2>Well come everybody in the war zone, Well come everybody
<v Speaker 2>on Monday night. It's like the most gutturall Evince I've
<v Speaker 2>heard in a really long dog.
<v Speaker 1>Vince actually taps into this all night long.
<v Speaker 2>Howard Finkel is in the ring and some kind of
<v Speaker 2>At first I was like, Wow, he's wearing some fucked
<v Speaker 2>up looking long sleeve. But it's a WRESTLINGIA thirteen long sleeve.
<v Speaker 1>Is it the hockey jersey or the denim jacket or
<v Speaker 1>just his own custom deal.
<v Speaker 2>I think it's a custom one, because later I was like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>maybe he's wearing the one that they advertised later, but like,
<v Speaker 2>the sleeves are different, and I thought it was just
<v Speaker 2>weird for the ring announcer to be wearing this. I
<v Speaker 2>felt like, that's kind of but I guess, you know,
<v Speaker 2>they're tapping into attitude here, so maybe cool ass Howard Finkel,
<v Speaker 2>it is super cool. WrestleMania thirteen shirt looked dope.
<v Speaker 1>Long sleeve shirt under short sleeve shirt under a long
<v Speaker 1>sleeve shirt.
<v Speaker 2>I mean it definitely looked like he had like a
<v Speaker 2>fucking nice suit on or something, and they just said
<v Speaker 2>put this fucking but that's all. We gotta sell some
<v Speaker 2>shirts with this fucking ugly ass. I hate this WrestleMania logo.
<v Speaker 1>By the way, I love everything about this stupid ass WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 1>I love like how ridiculously like pastime it looks. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, there's just something super like it is. Oh yeah.
<v Speaker 1>We got Undertaker and said, oh yeah.
<v Speaker 2>It's it's weird. How like that compared to this show.
<v Speaker 2>It's like, you know, Raw with this fucking heavy rock
<v Speaker 2>song and Pirro and on, and it's like, ouy shit,
<v Speaker 2>we're still we're still on an in between phase here on.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I guess the dichotomies of the shows are pretty crazy, right,
<v Speaker 1>Like Raw is brand new with the whole Raw's war thing.
<v Speaker 1>But I guess like WrestleMania thirteen also had the like
<v Speaker 1>it was like an explosion deal. It was like a
<v Speaker 1>fire deal for some reason, like on the graphics there
<v Speaker 1>in Hell. And then the theme song for the.
<v Speaker 2>Show is super.
<v Speaker 1>So Legion of Doom versus Nation of Domination. Here this
<v Speaker 1>whole show, we're on the go home to WrestleMania thirty team,
<v Speaker 1>so we're kind of getting tune up matches here or
<v Speaker 1>stuff to just make the match mean a little bit
<v Speaker 1>more here at Mania, i'm ed and Ferruke aren't here
<v Speaker 1>because they are at odds with each other, obviously, and
<v Speaker 1>we'll hear from them during the match, along with eight
<v Speaker 1>hundred other things.
<v Speaker 2>They're banned. They're banned from ringside, and Vince keeps saying
<v Speaker 2>that Fruke is conspicuous by his absence. How the fuck
<v Speaker 2>is that he's banned from ringside? How is that conspicuous?
<v Speaker 1>I didn't even think about that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. No, he's he's I
<v Speaker 2>completely know where his absence is. It's because he is banned.
<v Speaker 1>Well, Hawk and Animal Hot start on Savio Vega and Crush.
<v Speaker 1>I'm ed Johnson of course comes up on the screen
<v Speaker 1>and picture and picture here, and he has the blue
<v Speaker 1>AJ jacket on.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, so fucking cool. They showed again later and has
<v Speaker 2>the big WBF block logo on the back. I mean
<v Speaker 2>this jacket kicks ass.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I like it a lot too. He has the
<v Speaker 1>other version too. I think we saw one that was red.
<v Speaker 2>The red Yeah, yeah, that's right, we did see that.
<v Speaker 2>That's cool. I mean he had a few of them.
<v Speaker 2>They're fucking sick as fuck. Yeah. He uh, he comes
<v Speaker 2>up here a picture of picture. I mean there's there's
<v Speaker 2>by the way. Just to make it clear here, we're
<v Speaker 2>not skipping anything exciting in this first part of this match.
<v Speaker 2>They don't do shit. If anything, they do not know
<v Speaker 2>how to wrestle each other. Like Animal and Crush fuck
<v Speaker 2>up five sequences in the beginning of this match.
<v Speaker 1>They didn't cast shit.
<v Speaker 2>No, dude, No, they're super lost. Like at one point,
<v Speaker 2>crushes in the corner and Animal feeds in and you
<v Speaker 2>would think Crush is getting the boots up and that's
<v Speaker 2>what Animal is expecting, and he doesn't do an Animal
<v Speaker 2>just kind of fucking lays on him, and shit, they
<v Speaker 2>fuck up like a other spot I forgot what it was. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>just messy, messy match that it's like a two seg
<v Speaker 2>match too. I don't know what was going on here.
<v Speaker 2>I'd cut this for WrestleMania immediately if freaking Ahmed weren't
<v Speaker 2>so cool. This match is not making it to the
<v Speaker 2>pay per view. So Amed shows up picture and picture here,
<v Speaker 2>and Vince says, well, I'm ed the legion of Doomer
<v Speaker 2>clean a house right now, and you must be pleased,
<v Speaker 2>and Ahmed says he's very pleased, and uh we ain't
<v Speaker 2>he I mean, Ahmed unbelievable promo Like people talk about
<v Speaker 2>Scott Steiner being uh a, you know his style of promo. Listen,
<v Speaker 2>I'm met Johnson had some fucking classics here. We ain't
<v Speaker 2>start clean house yet, Vince. And Vince says, what are
<v Speaker 2>we gonna see in the Chicago street fight? And will
<v Speaker 2>this be the end of the nation domination? And he says, well,
<v Speaker 2>first of all, it's called a street fight. I can't
<v Speaker 2>tell you what's gonna you're gonna see because it's called
<v Speaker 2>a street fight. You know, tell him what you're gonna see,
<v Speaker 2>you might see something you don't want to see. And
<v Speaker 2>Vince's all right man. Thanks.
<v Speaker 1>So we go from the Ahmed Johnson picture and picture here,
<v Speaker 1>and now we have the Fruit picture and picture right.
<v Speaker 1>And the way that these are set up are so
<v Speaker 1>funny because Ahmed, like during his picture and picture they
<v Speaker 1>weren't really doing anything at all. They were just kind
<v Speaker 1>of hitting each other or whatever the case. Faruk picture
<v Speaker 1>and picture comes in and Savio hits a pole driver
<v Speaker 1>on Hawk, who nos sells it and then stands up
<v Speaker 1>it hits a drive.
<v Speaker 2>Kick and Vince is trying to like start his questions
<v Speaker 2>for Farruk, and he's like, oh, well, Fruk is here,
<v Speaker 2>and oh my god, I mean Vince tried his best,
<v Speaker 2>but you know, yeah, the interview to do the picture
<v Speaker 2>of pictures more important. We gotta sell this fucking angle,
<v Speaker 2>Vince says, says, uh, you know, hey, what's what's going
<v Speaker 2>Onuke says, nobody has better unity than the nation. And
<v Speaker 2>you can get the road Warriors all you want to
<v Speaker 2>bring on to Chicago because punk when you look up
<v Speaker 2>Street you see Feruk's name by it. I love fu.
<v Speaker 2>What a fucking great promo. This guy is in every
<v Speaker 2>company and every gimmick this dude has.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we've been watching a lot of Faruk lately, and
<v Speaker 1>he's been great in every era always.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, whatever they give this dude, he nails it
<v Speaker 2>every time.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it shows footage if I'm Met hitting the pro
<v Speaker 1>river plunge on Savio Vega. And then we get the
<v Speaker 1>All continues lower third, which is a dumpster fire, which
<v Speaker 1>is funny, dude.
<v Speaker 2>The fucking raw, the raw flaming. It's a it's like
<v Speaker 2>a you would see it on all like a Geocity site.
<v Speaker 2>The raws war flaming barrel gift, just two frames going
<v Speaker 2>back and forth, the fire existing. Yeah, they I'm in
<v Speaker 2>hit a Pearl River plunge on Savio and then the
<v Speaker 2>Nation not only jumped them, but they crush hit them
<v Speaker 2>in the neck with a two by four. I guess
<v Speaker 2>that's their thing.
<v Speaker 1>Now, well, we get the WWF Slam of the Week
<v Speaker 1>presented by Cool Borders on the PlayStation.
<v Speaker 3>No.
<v Speaker 1>I've played ss X, but I don't know about Cool Borders.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know if there was multiple Cool Borders. Maybe
<v Speaker 2>I played like Cool Borders two or three or something.
<v Speaker 2>I definitely played one of them, though it was just
<v Speaker 2>I don't know if I played it like a demo
<v Speaker 2>or something like that. I remember it being cool though.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, well, Undertaker choke slam said, and then fucking Taker
<v Speaker 1>dives on Vader. What the hell this is the coolest
<v Speaker 1>shit I've ever seen, Dude.
<v Speaker 2>They sold it like it was the first time he
<v Speaker 2>ever did it too. I don't know if he was
<v Speaker 2>just rarely doing the dive at this point or not,
<v Speaker 2>but dude, yeah, choke slam Sid, which is also gnarly looking.
<v Speaker 2>Sid's gigantic, and then just full sprint jumps over the
<v Speaker 2>rope on Vader and crunches them.
<v Speaker 1>It was video game style. That's how I like to
<v Speaker 1>do stuff in video games. I'll do one guy and
<v Speaker 1>I'm hitting the ropes all right.
<v Speaker 2>Here we go, no time to waste, motherfucker. I gotta go.
<v Speaker 1>So we come back to the match leads you to
<v Speaker 1>Doom versus Nations of Domination here, and we instantly go
<v Speaker 1>to another picture and picture of Frukes locker room.
<v Speaker 2>But he's not there anymore, dude, I wrote down. I
<v Speaker 2>was like, holy fuck man, they're thrown to another picture
<v Speaker 2>and picture. Could we get it off with these? But
<v Speaker 2>it actually was going somewhere, And you know what, if
<v Speaker 2>there was any match that was going to have a
<v Speaker 2>bunch of pictures. In the pictures, it probably should be
<v Speaker 2>this one. Yeah, Fruk's out there, He's gone. Then they
<v Speaker 2>throw it to Ahmed and Ahmed is watching like a
<v Speaker 2>normal person in what He's watching the monitor. His back
<v Speaker 2>is to the camera here and you can see the
<v Speaker 2>WAF logo on his AJ jacket. Pretty kick ass. Vince says, well,
<v Speaker 2>I'm at if you can hear us, and Ahmed looks
<v Speaker 2>back over his shoulder like like he's fucking annoying him
<v Speaker 2>trying to watch the show, and Vince is talking to him.
<v Speaker 2>Vince says, hey, Fruk's down his locker room, and Noma says,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not concerned. He was being from the thatch. I
<v Speaker 2>was beIN from the match. I'm gonna keep my asles
<v Speaker 2>on my crew and watch their back, which sound I mean,
<v Speaker 2>why wouldn't you until Faru comes up with a night
<v Speaker 2>stick and fucking beats the shit out of them.
<v Speaker 1>Dude. I also love that. Uh that As a wrestling fan,
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, sure, Yeah, he'd be watching TV right here,
<v Speaker 1>And like a normal person looks at this and says,
<v Speaker 1>why is he at the barrel in cage room? Why
<v Speaker 1>is the TV in the barrel in cage room.
<v Speaker 2>Well, that's where all the top guys watch the show.
<v Speaker 2>Of course they get no locker room and they got
<v Speaker 2>to watch it out here.
<v Speaker 1>If anyone wants to watch the show, you have to
<v Speaker 1>come to the cage and barrel room. But sadly the
<v Speaker 1>only person who wants to watch the show is on
<v Speaker 1>Met Johnson currently.
<v Speaker 2>Well, they went to the back. You know, I want
<v Speaker 2>to say chances and says hey everybody, if you guys
<v Speaker 2>want to come watch LD against the Nation, you can
<v Speaker 2>come watch it as a monitor. And nobody wanted to
<v Speaker 2>fucking watch the shit.
<v Speaker 1>He only one guy here in the WWF wants to
<v Speaker 1>push right now, and that's Ahmed Johnson. You always got
<v Speaker 1>to watch the people that are out there. Man, it's
<v Speaker 1>respect for the.
<v Speaker 2>Business, that's true. Sadly, Uh, guys like Stone Cold did
<v Speaker 2>not want it as bad.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, what the hell? Man, come on, well he did later.
<v Speaker 2>Oh you know what, he was watching imatche later. That's true.
<v Speaker 2>I'm mad in austin the future of the business, which
<v Speaker 2>at one point people did think that about Ahmed.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, why the hell wasn't Aaron Ferguson at the TV. Brother,
<v Speaker 1>you don't want to.
<v Speaker 2>Push Mike Bell was too busy getting his ass swooped
<v Speaker 2>in the back.
<v Speaker 1>Star probably pulled Aaron Ferguson aside after his said, brother,
<v Speaker 1>I'm at like I saw you in there and watching
<v Speaker 1>that TV.
<v Speaker 2>And then he pulled the Mike Bell aside and said,
<v Speaker 2>if you ever see Perry Saturn without the hair, fucking
<v Speaker 2>get out.
<v Speaker 1>Of here here.
<v Speaker 5>Son. If you come if you come back to w W,
<v Speaker 5>F you a work match, working damn match? What's your
<v Speaker 5>dear life? And you ever see you on that piece
<v Speaker 5>of paper a name, a name by the name. What
<v Speaker 5>you're talking to? Coach devotion? And said, you want to
<v Speaker 5>laugh at me?
<v Speaker 1>Son? I see you smirking? Is that funny?
<v Speaker 3>Laugh?
<v Speaker 2>I see you not at the monitor. If you ever
<v Speaker 2>come back here, I want to make sure you get
<v Speaker 2>a match on he.
<v Speaker 5>Listen, I was talking about the paper. If you that's right?
<v Speaker 5>You ever see you on the paper?
<v Speaker 6>Son?
<v Speaker 1>Were laughing at.
<v Speaker 2>We laughing at Sorry, Sarah, I'm just so funny. Was
<v Speaker 2>on this monitor?
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, Pa with you, that's right, I'll get out of here.
<v Speaker 6>Oh god, what.
<v Speaker 2>Fucking never bought?
<v Speaker 1>You want to talk about paper?
<v Speaker 2>There?
<v Speaker 1>Fergus at Tournchi Billy Gun, What the fuck is that
<v Speaker 1>guy's de Yeah, so Ahmed is knocked out on the
<v Speaker 1>floor now because Faruke hit him with the night stick
<v Speaker 1>and he's down on the floor, and uh, back in
<v Speaker 1>the ring here, we're going to the finish. Yeah, So
<v Speaker 1>Animal hits a double clothes line in the ring. He
<v Speaker 1>puts Savio on his shoulders for the doomsday and I'm thinking, Wow,
<v Speaker 1>I can't believe, after all this match was in picture
<v Speaker 1>and picture, we're still going to see the doomsday. I'm
<v Speaker 1>so excited.
<v Speaker 2>I know I was, and I was surprised. Sofia was
<v Speaker 2>gonna take it because I was like, ah, he's it's
<v Speaker 2>kind of bottom heavy. He might be going twelve to
<v Speaker 2>six here.
<v Speaker 1>So for Ruke runs in and he hits Animal with
<v Speaker 1>the night stick, and then the Nation of Domination jumps
<v Speaker 1>in and they attack Legion to Doom and it turns
<v Speaker 1>into a fucking Pier six brawl.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, they're going fucking crazy like everyone. Dude. Okay, Fruke
<v Speaker 2>fucking hits Animal with a night stick, which you know
<v Speaker 2>obviously interrupts the doomsday device. For some reason, Hawks still
<v Speaker 2>jumps off the top rope like he's going for doomsday.
<v Speaker 2>It just lands on his face.
<v Speaker 1>Well, you have to understand he he kind of like
<v Speaker 1>took that pile driver right on the top of his head,
<v Speaker 1>and yeah, the damage comes to you later.
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was like you know in the hockey game,
<v Speaker 2>where like if you're on the top, you just you
<v Speaker 2>have to do something after a certain amount of time,
<v Speaker 2>like you gotta.
<v Speaker 1>Go oh right, yeah, okay, So he just.
<v Speaker 2>Had to do the flying clothesline.
<v Speaker 1>And it would have been really funny if he did
<v Speaker 1>the backwards elbow drop for no reason.
<v Speaker 2>On nobody, which is pretty common in those games. Actually,
<v Speaker 2>so am Ed.
<v Speaker 1>Comes in, he's fucking jacked and super over here. I
<v Speaker 1>mean like he's a centerpiece of this for sure.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, his massive his back is fucking huge. The crowd
<v Speaker 2>is super fucking fired up, and they just want to
<v Speaker 2>see him dump dudes on the ground.
<v Speaker 1>I'm Ed hits the Pearl River plunge on jc ice
<v Speaker 1>and then uh, Delo takes the Doomsday device from the
<v Speaker 1>Legion Doom.
<v Speaker 2>Dlo does inside out bump on this day.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, nuts, Ahmed and Legion of Doom stand tall here
<v Speaker 1>before the pay per view and uh wow, man, I
<v Speaker 1>mean they are super hot. Off the end of this
<v Speaker 1>angle here.
<v Speaker 2>I know, Man, I fucking I always get I'm always
<v Speaker 2>sad when I see uh, not sad, but I'm like, amen,
<v Speaker 2>everything I see, I'm ed. I think it was fucking
<v Speaker 2>cool as fuck.
<v Speaker 1>You know.
<v Speaker 2>I just think injuries and ship must have caught up
<v Speaker 2>to uh, you know, his trajectory and uh. But man,
<v Speaker 2>at one point he was fucking he was he was
<v Speaker 2>on the road to be in the next guy.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, if you looked at him on this show, he
<v Speaker 1>looks like the complete package. Man, Pearl River Plunge is awesome.
<v Speaker 1>He's jacked. He does a good promo. Yeah, yeah, he's
<v Speaker 1>got a lot of like upside here.
<v Speaker 2>And then you know, speaking of over, I mean, road
<v Speaker 2>warriors are just over no matter what they do.
<v Speaker 1>I have no idea what Animal told his barber back then, Like,
<v Speaker 1>I literally have no idea. He's just like, hey, man,
<v Speaker 1>take the sides off.
<v Speaker 2>Please, you see hawk and give me the opposite.
<v Speaker 1>How much of the sides you went off? You know,
<v Speaker 1>just like most of it, all of them. If you
<v Speaker 1>could just like stop right above my ear, that'd be cool.
<v Speaker 1>So you want me to like cut cut the sides out, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>keep the.
<v Speaker 2>Rest, huh, all right, that'll be five dollars, then five dollars.
<v Speaker 2>Come on, you're on TV, all right.
<v Speaker 1>So a ringside Now we have Vince mcman's, Jim Row
<v Speaker 1>and Jerry Lawler ringside to go over the scoops and
<v Speaker 1>the rumors.
<v Speaker 2>A lot of dirt sheets, a lot of rumors here, James,
<v Speaker 2>because there there's a rumor that there's a cage match
<v Speaker 2>main event here that they only just started talking about. Now,
<v Speaker 2>that's what threw me off pretty bad.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and it could possibly not be for the WWF title.
<v Speaker 2>Well, hopefully Grilla Monsoon can fly his big ass from
<v Speaker 2>New Jersey and get here in time to tell us
<v Speaker 2>if it's going to be for the title or not.
<v Speaker 2>Because of right now, as of right now, it is
<v Speaker 2>a title match, Brett Hart against Psychocid for the WF title.
<v Speaker 2>And the controversy is, you know, having a title match
<v Speaker 2>this close to WrestleMania is unheard of, they are saying,
<v Speaker 2>which it does make for a pretty exciting main event.
<v Speaker 2>I will say, if you know, jump on ahead a bit.
<v Speaker 2>The idea was the idea is right, and I think
<v Speaker 2>what they did with it was pretty cool too.
<v Speaker 1>Well. Sean Michaels could be on the way to the arena,
<v Speaker 1>or maybe he's not.
<v Speaker 2>I heard of rumor that Sean Michaels is almost here
<v Speaker 2>and I heard that one. Well, we're not too far
<v Speaker 2>removed from losing the smile, so he's you know, he's
<v Speaker 2>trying to get back into the fold here, and what
<v Speaker 2>a surprise getting back into the fold of WrestleMania season.
<v Speaker 2>Not a bad idea for old jaw Michaels. Also, what's
<v Speaker 2>not a rumor? Stone Cold Steve Austin is here tonight.
<v Speaker 2>That's that's not good news. Why is Stone called Steve
<v Speaker 2>Austin here? Why the hell not?
<v Speaker 1>He's a pretty big match at wrestling at thirteen?
<v Speaker 2>He works here? What did he get? Also banned from
<v Speaker 2>the show that we don't know about her is because
<v Speaker 2>he's not booked, he's not allowed to come to the show.
<v Speaker 1>Well, Raw is War is brought to you by Celson
<v Speaker 1>Blue and Sega Saturn. If you buy a Sega Saturn
<v Speaker 1>you get three free games.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, what the hell is that? Right?
<v Speaker 1>Shoot, I don't know. I wasn't a Sega Saturn guy.
<v Speaker 1>I played the Sega Dreamcast.
<v Speaker 2>It could have been just any three free games, right,
<v Speaker 2>It was probably like, oh, here's like some bullshit that
<v Speaker 2>we have to give for free, like launch titles that
<v Speaker 2>maybe the Sega Saturn been out for a second already.
<v Speaker 1>We sports well, we have Hunter Hurst Helmsley with China
<v Speaker 1>versus Flash Funk with the funk Yets.
<v Speaker 2>Oh dude, China is super new on this show and
<v Speaker 2>they're putting her over like a fucking killer, like this
<v Speaker 2>is awesome. They show clips of her when she debuted
<v Speaker 2>at the Final Four in February, she just chokes Marlena
<v Speaker 2>over the guardrail, and then on Raw she rag dolls
<v Speaker 2>the shit out of her, and then last week on
<v Speaker 2>Raw she mother effen bombed referees into other referees.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's nuts to see China with Triple Ah here
<v Speaker 1>where he's still in his old gimmick.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it feels like, you know, the beginnings of you
<v Speaker 2>know what that obviously becomes. But he's you know, he's
<v Speaker 2>not even d X yet, that's not even a fucking
<v Speaker 2>thought yet. And Triple h is feeding with gold.
<v Speaker 1>Dust, Dude, he is. He faces gold dust at Wrestlemating
<v Speaker 1>at thirteen.
<v Speaker 2>He does, which you know, not a bad spot to
<v Speaker 2>be in with the top guy.
<v Speaker 1>Dude. There is a crazy graphic that comes on the
<v Speaker 1>screen that has China, Triple H, Marlena, and gold Dust
<v Speaker 1>on it. Shina with the glasses, Yeah, it takes them
<v Speaker 1>like the right side of the screens. He's got the
<v Speaker 1>little glasses on.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, Flash Funk, what an entrance?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean this is a whole entrance deal. I
<v Speaker 1>was surprised he even had a longer entrance than Triple H.
<v Speaker 2>Did he? I mean they're making something to him. He
<v Speaker 2>gets Piro, he gets Pirro, and Vince goes whoa.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Flash Funk and China get into it here before
<v Speaker 1>the match starts, and uh, China doesn't back down at all.
<v Speaker 2>The crowd like wants China to get active though, like
<v Speaker 2>they want her to fucking do something. They kind of
<v Speaker 2>get excited with the prospect of her getting in flash
<v Speaker 2>Funk's face.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, dude, because China's been throwing referees across the ring and.
<v Speaker 2>Shit, it's cool as fuck.
<v Speaker 1>Do they chant bishoff sucks?
<v Speaker 2>Here? They do chant fish off sucks And it's a
<v Speaker 2>group of dudes. It's not even like a huge chant.
<v Speaker 2>But there's like five dudes that are like at the
<v Speaker 2>show together in the front row and that must be
<v Speaker 2>like where the the mics are for the crowd, or
<v Speaker 2>at least you know a good portion of it. So
<v Speaker 2>because it's also the guys that have a like ECW
<v Speaker 2>adjacent signs, Like a guy has a Whipwreck kicks ass
<v Speaker 2>sign and another guy has a Nitro suck sign. So
<v Speaker 2>it's all those guys chanting bishoff sucks.
<v Speaker 1>It'd be funny if like Jim Ross stood up and
<v Speaker 1>like they turned the mices off for the crowd and
<v Speaker 1>he' said all right, everybody off shuph off shuns.
<v Speaker 2>Like Jeremy Fores. Come on.
<v Speaker 1>Flash. Funk gets the upper hand here early in the match,
<v Speaker 1>sends Triple H to the outside. Uh. Funk misses a
<v Speaker 1>baseball slide here and Triple H takes back over.
<v Speaker 2>That was cool. I like that. And that's when someone
<v Speaker 2>just holds their nitro suck sign right in front of
<v Speaker 2>the camera.
<v Speaker 1>Funk jumps over Triple H here and then goes to
<v Speaker 1>jump over him backwards, but Triple H grabs him on
<v Speaker 1>his shoulders and then just dumps them.
<v Speaker 2>Dude. I was like, wow, I'm about to see the
<v Speaker 2>evenson of the reverse rana here because it was the
<v Speaker 2>way they were moving felt like Triple H was gonna
<v Speaker 2>go on his head, but no, he just electric chairs them,
<v Speaker 2>which was also so fucking cool though.
<v Speaker 1>Dude, flash Funk even did the clap like he was
<v Speaker 1>timing himself to do a poison ra ona. I definitely
<v Speaker 1>thought he.
<v Speaker 2>Was dude, but like, you know, that would have that
<v Speaker 2>would have changed nineteen ninety seven wrestling. He might have
<v Speaker 2>got He might have got fired for doing something too cool.
<v Speaker 1>So flash Funk hits a combo on triple as that
<v Speaker 1>ends with a leg drop before heading to the top,
<v Speaker 1>and then he hits a guillotine leg drop off the
<v Speaker 1>top rope for it too, because China grabs his ankle.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, he fucking did the towirley fingers too, and I
<v Speaker 2>was like, oh, here's the moon salt. He does Alabama
<v Speaker 2>jam all right, man, Like goddamn, I know, yes, he
<v Speaker 2>was on his knees and he fucking did the tile
<v Speaker 2>and I was like, fuck, but he did you know
<v Speaker 2>leg drop or you know, maybe I could have also
<v Speaker 2>missed it and he was just signaling he was going
<v Speaker 2>to the top, but or just instinctively his down ton
<v Speaker 2>is only fingers.
<v Speaker 1>He did one finger twirl not too that means leg drop. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>Funk hits a belly to back and then he does
<v Speaker 1>the fingertime.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, yes, please this time, give me the fucking moon Salt.
<v Speaker 1>He wants the moon salt leg drop. He goes up.
<v Speaker 1>China gets on the apron. She distracts flash Funk and
<v Speaker 1>this allows Triple H to hit the pedigree with the
<v Speaker 1>arms held or a three point one.
<v Speaker 2>Flash Funk three point one kickout. Dude, I was fucking laughing.
<v Speaker 2>I feel every time we've been watching Triple H in
<v Speaker 2>this era, somebody's just fucking up his move, whether it's
<v Speaker 2>Freddy Joe Floyd just completely kicking out of it, or
<v Speaker 2>three point one kickout on here. Very fucking funny.
<v Speaker 1>So China comes in afterwards and holds flash Funk and
<v Speaker 1>Triple Ah starts beating him up after the match.
<v Speaker 2>Are you watching gold Dust?
<v Speaker 1>Are you watching?
<v Speaker 2>Hey? Where the fuck? I was begging for a gold
<v Speaker 2>Dust run in here?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, nobody's actually watching backstage. That's sucks. Aaron Ferguson's watching
<v Speaker 1>the monitor. Do I run out?
<v Speaker 2>Fella is afraid to go to the monitor. He's gonna
<v Speaker 2>get cast in by Stone Cold again.
<v Speaker 1>Aaron Ferguson's at the monitor. He looks over and he
<v Speaker 1>says you want me to run out. Produce is like,
<v Speaker 1>do not run out? No, So Sean Michaels has arrived
<v Speaker 1>to the building. The rumors were true.
<v Speaker 2>They were true, and in top guy fashion showing up
<v Speaker 2>after call time, that's totally acceptable here on this show.
<v Speaker 2>What I need to ask James this next part here,
<v Speaker 2>I'm curious if you experienced this the same way that
<v Speaker 2>I did. You know, we come back from commercial here
<v Speaker 2>and it's a wide shot and Vader's music is playing,
<v Speaker 2>and what I'm looking at this ring from Afar and
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, oh, fuck, yeah, Vader is in the ring.
<v Speaker 2>This is gonna be awesome until I find out it's
<v Speaker 2>not Fader.
<v Speaker 1>Dude. Yeah, so Vader's music is playing. We're back from commercial.
<v Speaker 1>I don't see a tron no. I was like, okay,
<v Speaker 1>so maybe they just fuck something up. Sure, And then
<v Speaker 1>it cuts to the ring and holy shit, it's Mini
<v Speaker 1>Vader and Mini Mankind.
<v Speaker 2>I fucking I swear to God my notes are Vader
<v Speaker 2>all caps is in the ring? Oh? Hell yeah? The
<v Speaker 2>next line is holy fucking shit. I was so fucking wrong.
<v Speaker 1>It is Minnie Vader, Minnie Vader and Mini Mankind and
<v Speaker 1>Vader and Mankind are like teaming up in real life
<v Speaker 1>right now. We see them later tonight.
<v Speaker 2>Actually they have a tag title shot at the pay
<v Speaker 2>per view.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, my favorite part of Minni Vader and Mini Mankind
<v Speaker 1>is that they don't work like Vader or Mankind whatsoever.
<v Speaker 2>Not at all, other than maybe trying to do their taunts.
<v Speaker 2>So before it gets too crazy here, there's a part
<v Speaker 2>here that we have to talk about because this only
<v Speaker 2>gets crazier. And I was so excited for you to
<v Speaker 2>see this, James, I withheld even mentioning this to you
<v Speaker 2>what the rest of this match looks like, because I
<v Speaker 2>I couldn't believe it. But before we get into that
<v Speaker 2>real quick, Vince on commentary says earlier day, at a
<v Speaker 2>press conference in New Jersey, a number of officials were
<v Speaker 2>on hand, including the undertaker, to witness the death of
<v Speaker 2>a tax bill that's right to ensure that the war
<v Speaker 2>zone can appear in the state of New Jersey, and
<v Speaker 2>indeed it will. And they show this press conference where
<v Speaker 2>undertake there's you know, the fucking New Jersey Governor's there,
<v Speaker 2>Christy Todd, Whitman's there, Linda McMahon is there, she's there.
<v Speaker 2>An undertaker walks up with a bunch of papers that
<v Speaker 2>are cut out to look like a tombstone and hands
<v Speaker 2>it to the governor, and Governor Christy Todd Whitman says, oh,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I'm glad to be able to make this happen.
<v Speaker 2>I used to watch wrestling with my son. Shit sucks now,
<v Speaker 2>she said. She used to have regular wrestling matches at home.
<v Speaker 2>She was doing pro river plunge to her son in
<v Speaker 2>the living room.
<v Speaker 1>She saw the poison on and she went home immediately and.
<v Speaker 2>Said, I have to try this, and then she turned
<v Speaker 2>on Nitruk because she wasn't watching roll for sure.
<v Speaker 1>Well she turned all that shit off because NASCAR's on.
<v Speaker 2>So Mini Vader and Mini Mankind are in the ring
<v Speaker 2>and I'm waiting.
<v Speaker 1>For their hold on, hold on before we fucking get there.
<v Speaker 1>Undertaker being in gimmick is nuts.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, Okay, full fucking gimmick for this tax bill thing
<v Speaker 2>where she's like looking over and I'm saying, oh, I
<v Speaker 2>used to watch wrestling, and you know, and he nods
<v Speaker 2>like this is this is so like we're super protecting
<v Speaker 2>k Fabe in ninety seven with Undertaker, Like he doesn't
<v Speaker 2>start breaking ca Fabe until like twenty years after this.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I feel like we've seen Undertaker at a
<v Speaker 1>lot of this shit, and I'm starting to question it.
<v Speaker 1>That's fucking true, because holy fuck, it's Undertaking, not in
<v Speaker 1>a bunch of random situations during this era.
<v Speaker 2>A good point. Yeah, you're right.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. So, like Undertaker is standing here to the left.
<v Speaker 1>It's it's nuts. There's like the woman what was.
<v Speaker 2>Her name, uh, Christy to Whitman.
<v Speaker 1>So we're looking at the camera. It's Christy Todd Whitman
<v Speaker 1>talking about how awesome wrestling used to be.
<v Speaker 2>Not so much.
<v Speaker 1>Now you have Linda McMahon over here, and then Undertaker
<v Speaker 1>with the tear tattoo on his eye.
<v Speaker 2>Standing in full Jimmy, Yes.
<v Speaker 1>An Undertaker takes a picture with her son.
<v Speaker 2>Oh my god, dude.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, because that opens up East Rutherford for everybody, right,
<v Speaker 1>that's right, yeah, not just WWF so wow.
<v Speaker 2>And w CW goes there too.
<v Speaker 7>I think, thanks for the house, Taker, that's me, thank you, Governor.
<v Speaker 7>New Jersey smells like shit, but so does Midian. She's
<v Speaker 7>just staring at him blank as he's saying this.
<v Speaker 1>To stop talking. She's waiting from to stop talking. So
<v Speaker 1>the Undertaker's just going on in tangent or whatever. GW
<v Speaker 1>fucking sucks. She just turns around. I think that's all
<v Speaker 1>telling me have today, Thank you so much, everybody. Wait,
<v Speaker 1>I have more.
<v Speaker 2>W c W fucking sucks.
<v Speaker 1>Well, that's the last time we take the Undertaker out
<v Speaker 1>of the w W.
<v Speaker 2>I think wrestling just got rebanded, so we get out
<v Speaker 2>of that fucking catastrophe. And uh what I'm like, I said,
<v Speaker 2>I already was looking at Mini Vader and Mini Mankind,
<v Speaker 2>and I, uh, what I witnessed next I could have
<v Speaker 2>never guessed in a million years the stars could have
<v Speaker 2>lined any better for this podcast and for me and
<v Speaker 2>my Fred Deer than what I saw next. As I'm
<v Speaker 2>waiting to see who the opponents of Mini Vader and
<v Speaker 2>Miniman Guid are. Not only do I witnessed Mini gold
<v Speaker 2>Dust walking out onto the ramp, but following him is
<v Speaker 2>the ladies man Mascarita Sogranda. Oh, oh, my fucking god.
<v Speaker 2>I have not been this excited at quite some time.
<v Speaker 1>This is the greatest team of all time. This is
<v Speaker 1>the greatest team I've ever seen ever in my life.
<v Speaker 2>Like, this is the most inspired thing I've ever seen.
<v Speaker 2>Mini gold Dust and Mascuerda sograda. Like that is the
<v Speaker 2>epitome of this show.
<v Speaker 1>I could not believe that we are seeing many gold
<v Speaker 1>Dust and mascuerinea sograta basi off against fucking Mini Vader
<v Speaker 1>and Mini Mankind.
<v Speaker 2>I could watch this every week and dude, even better,
<v Speaker 2>Mini gold Dust is like the Andre the giant of
<v Speaker 2>this division. Dude.
<v Speaker 1>In the past like two weeks, we've seen at least
<v Speaker 1>two different versions of Mascarita sograda.
<v Speaker 2>I know, I know, Like, yeah, there's supposedly a lot
<v Speaker 2>of them.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we're making the rounds on all the man ever
<v Speaker 1>in history.
<v Speaker 2>No one's covered gold dust or mascarita sagarana like this show.
<v Speaker 1>We just added a new gold dust barrier.
<v Speaker 2>Dude. This match also kicks so much as so.
<v Speaker 1>Mini gold Dust and Minni Vaders start off here and
<v Speaker 1>Mini gold Dust does the taunt, he does the gold
<v Speaker 1>dust tent.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, he does the and then fucking Vader kicks him
<v Speaker 2>in the stomach and starts kicking his ass.
<v Speaker 1>Dude, Minny Vader punches this ship out of gold dust
<v Speaker 1>and tons.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, oh my god, dude, his gear even says Mini Vader.
<v Speaker 2>It could just say Vader and we'd get it. But
<v Speaker 2>they went out of the way and put Minnie.
<v Speaker 5>Dude.
<v Speaker 1>I love that he did the tent, and they have
<v Speaker 1>this camera shot of it, and then later on during
<v Speaker 1>the Vader match, Vader does a very similar taunt from
<v Speaker 1>a very similar angle.
<v Speaker 2>Oh it's fantastic, dude, for real, for real. There has
<v Speaker 2>never been a time that we watched the Mini Division
<v Speaker 2>or whatever you want to call that. You know, Junior
<v Speaker 2>is event eventually what they call it. I'm sure it's
<v Speaker 2>called something different in Lucca. Never have we watch one
<v Speaker 2>of these and it wasn't awesome.
<v Speaker 1>I know, Yeah, I always enjoy it a lot. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>I literally love Masquerit's Sograta, yes.
<v Speaker 2>For like, I genuinely think he's fucking fantastic, Like there's
<v Speaker 2>money to be made here, Like this is awesome.
<v Speaker 1>So Minnie Vader starts taking fucking arm drags and shit,
<v Speaker 1>which of course is very similar to how Big Van
<v Speaker 1>Vader works. Of course, Segarata comes off the top with
<v Speaker 1>a cross body and a head scissors and follows up
<v Speaker 1>with a few arm drags of his own. Sagarada then
<v Speaker 1>fakes a dive and then taunts to a huge fucking reaction.
<v Speaker 2>He's so fucking over.
<v Speaker 1>Dude.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, he poses he's the star of this division until
<v Speaker 2>Vader comes in and running Yakuza kicks him in the
<v Speaker 2>back of his head.
<v Speaker 1>Dude, Wow, he nails him too well.
<v Speaker 2>I guess it's a mini Vader time now. Anyway, a
<v Speaker 2>major dominator of Superstar was made by FA officials starting
<v Speaker 2>to go a strip shirt just a couple of days ago.
<v Speaker 2>I got all the series on option shicks on the
<v Speaker 2>Superstar line. What the hell?
<v Speaker 1>So you have to call this number and then pay
<v Speaker 1>him to hear about this?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then he just tells you it was me.
<v Speaker 2>They stripped my oklaholma, my ash down butt naked.
<v Speaker 1>Gold Dust does a flipping sent on Evader on the
<v Speaker 1>outside here.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, Okay, all of my notes. By the way, I
<v Speaker 2>did not write Mini, so it's legit the same way
<v Speaker 2>you just said it. Like gold Dust did a flipping
<v Speaker 2>on all Devator.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I started off with Minny like when I wrote
<v Speaker 1>it down, and then from that point forward these are
<v Speaker 1>just the regular names.
<v Speaker 2>For me too.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. So gold Dust has a flipping sentan Evader on
<v Speaker 1>the outside in the ring. Mascarita Sagrada then Slingshot Victory
<v Speaker 1>rolls mankind and picks up the wind kicks fuck.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, how fucking sick is that? And I got
<v Speaker 2>a pig pub.
<v Speaker 1>Vader comes in and misses a fucking line. I mean
<v Speaker 1>he threw that shit crazy and uh Segrata then drop
<v Speaker 1>kicks him and chases him up the ram. What comes
<v Speaker 1>next I could not believe.
<v Speaker 2>Oh my god. Okay, first I want to say Vader
<v Speaker 2>Minivader coming in, missing a line, getting drop kicked, and
<v Speaker 2>then fucking powdering and run because the shots Yeah, dude,
<v Speaker 2>the shot at first is he gets drop kicked outside
<v Speaker 2>and then runs away of his own volition, like he
<v Speaker 2>just fucking starts running.
<v Speaker 1>He drop kicks him and starts sprinting.
<v Speaker 2>Shot Yeah, un til the shot shows maskers Segrata is
<v Speaker 2>full chasing him up the ramp. But I was like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>they're gonna go to the back. No, no, no, they
<v Speaker 2>have some shit to do.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, So Vader runs all the way to the side
<v Speaker 1>of the stage here and he looks over and he's like, wow,
<v Speaker 1>that's a big drop. So anyways, Mascaria Segratta full speed
<v Speaker 1>comes up behind him and pushes them off the stage.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, wow, holy shit, that was nuts.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's enough.
<v Speaker 1>Anyways, Vader stands up as Segrata full sends it. I
<v Speaker 1>mean just literally, my just Torpedo dives off the stage
<v Speaker 1>and destroys.
<v Speaker 2>It's like a fucking speeding bullet. How fast he jumps
<v Speaker 2>off this stage and how quickly his body falls as
<v Speaker 2>he jumps down and lands on Vader.
<v Speaker 1>It's nuts, dude. The fucking camera shot was so good.
<v Speaker 2>Oh my fantastic, Oh my god, it's so sick. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>this is nuts. They've replayed a few times too, because
<v Speaker 2>this is awesome. Somehow, I've never seen this in my life.
<v Speaker 2>This is fucking nuts.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I love this. Masquerita Sograda is awesome.
<v Speaker 2>He is so great. He is so great.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if we've ever seen a bad any
<v Speaker 1>version of Masquarita Sograda.
<v Speaker 2>No, dude, all nine of them are.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, they're awesome. We get the WrestleMania thirteen commercial here.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, they go over some of the matches here, of course,
<v Speaker 2>Brett and Stone Cold, uh Sid and Undertaker, Ahmed and
<v Speaker 2>Led versus the Nation of Domination. There's only one WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 2>It only happens once a year. That is not the
<v Speaker 2>case anymore.
<v Speaker 1>We get the Gorilla Monsoon town hall up next, where
<v Speaker 1>Monsoon will chime in on the rumor that, uh, there's
<v Speaker 1>a tag. I'm sorry, it's not even a tag. That
<v Speaker 1>there's a WWF title cage match tonight.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, because the rumor, you know, the issue is here
<v Speaker 2>is that people aren't sure if it's for the title
<v Speaker 2>or not. And that's what Vince asks. He says, will
<v Speaker 2>this or will this not? Be a WA championship match
<v Speaker 2>in the cage tonight? And Gorilla mont Soon says, I
<v Speaker 2>had no intention of being here tonight. I hate this show.
<v Speaker 1>So Gorilla Monson, is there gonna be a WWF title
<v Speaker 1>cage match tonight? But no, I mean no.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna tell you a fact. I made this match
<v Speaker 2>quite a while ago. But at this moment in time,
<v Speaker 2>the steel cage matches for the WF title. That fucking
<v Speaker 2>settles that, and Vince has will listen. Isn't it true
<v Speaker 2>that a number of Undertaker fans you were broad by
<v Speaker 2>tell you that this was unfair? What the hell is that?
<v Speaker 2>That was like a thing. Undertaker fans were corraling around there,
<v Speaker 2>beating down Gorilla Monsoon's door because Brett Hart was getting
<v Speaker 2>a title shot.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean it was just Undertaker and his whole family.
<v Speaker 2>Like Cane and Volbaran, Yeah, co Midian, my son, well Gorilla.
<v Speaker 2>Monsuit says, well, it's not unfair. How many times Brett
<v Speaker 2>Art come up on the short end of the stick
<v Speaker 2>And vinceays, well, how many times bretndar uses influence and
<v Speaker 2>Laula says yeah, how many times does he whined and
<v Speaker 2>cried to you? I can't believe him, Monsun and Monsoon says,
<v Speaker 2>I don't give a fucking time match my bitch, take
<v Speaker 2>it or leave it. Fuck you.
<v Speaker 1>So we have the Brett Hart town Hall here. Brett
<v Speaker 1>Hart comes out here and man, they have this side
<v Speaker 1>angle shot of him coming down the ramp. It's such
<v Speaker 1>a fucking wrestling shot. It's awesome. I love it.
<v Speaker 2>It just showed. It makes him feel like larger than life,
<v Speaker 2>right because the crowd's like all trying to touch his
<v Speaker 2>hand and shit and like he's cool as fuck.
<v Speaker 1>So, yeah, Bratt comes out here for his town hall
<v Speaker 1>and he runs down his accomplishments and uh he says,
<v Speaker 1>fuck the goddamn Undertaker.
<v Speaker 2>D fuck Undertaker, and fuck that lousy stinkt Hyena Stone Cold,
<v Speaker 2>Steve Austin I could be a five time WF champion.
<v Speaker 2>That would be pretty awesome. Thank you, Grilla Monsoon. I
<v Speaker 2>won the Rumble, which he didn't win. By the way,
<v Speaker 2>I won the Final four. I'm a four time WF champion.
<v Speaker 2>I think it deserves a little respect. This part of
<v Speaker 2>this story I didn't really know much about. Like everybody
<v Speaker 2>knows the arestling a thirteen, everybody knows the sharpshoo with
<v Speaker 2>the blood from a stone, you know, fucking oh yeah, dude,
<v Speaker 2>the double turn. Yeah, so like everyone knows that part,
<v Speaker 2>I didn't know how much they were already kind of
<v Speaker 2>eluding that Brett was turning before then, like in my brain,
<v Speaker 2>I guess maybe the documentary brain of me just you know,
<v Speaker 2>fucking learning this years later. Like it was, uh, Austin
<v Speaker 2>got popular, so they turned Brett and it was like, ah,
<v Speaker 2>they were he was kind of already turning here.
<v Speaker 1>Well, the crowd still liked him, like he was all
<v Speaker 1>but saying fuck you to every right, yeah, and the
<v Speaker 1>crowd was still like he's fucking hard.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>He said, uh, you know, I know the Undertaker's not
<v Speaker 2>too thrilled about this, but there's a kind of a
<v Speaker 2>new model in the WWF. You scratch my back and
<v Speaker 2>I'll stab yours, and the Undertaker may not be too
<v Speaker 2>thrilled about it. But after I win, and I will win,
<v Speaker 2>the Undertaker need not worry because I'll give him a
<v Speaker 2>shot and he can get in line like the rest
<v Speaker 2>of them. And after I changed the face ar wrestling
<v Speaker 2>at thirteen, I step in the ring with that lousy,
<v Speaker 2>stinking hyena stone Cold, He'll be in for the worst
<v Speaker 2>trashing of his life. I'm gonna take all those collected
<v Speaker 2>moments of stone Cold. He always it was never just
<v Speaker 2>Steve or stone Cold or Austin. Every time he talks
<v Speaker 2>about him, it's always stone Cold, Steve Austin, full stop.
<v Speaker 1>That's his name.
<v Speaker 2>That's like same with when he goes to ww Bill Goldberg.
<v Speaker 1>Bill Goldberg is legendary. Yeah, Like that's just how it
<v Speaker 1>is that Brett.
<v Speaker 2>I like it, man, dude, I do too. I think again,
<v Speaker 2>that's another thing I wanted to bring up. You know,
<v Speaker 2>something I kind of you know, just on the Internet
<v Speaker 2>or whatever the fuck, growing up like it was kind
<v Speaker 2>of I feel like, well, not well regarded, but kind
<v Speaker 2>of the consensus that Brett was a bad promo for
<v Speaker 2>a long time, and every time we go back and
<v Speaker 2>watch this, I'm like, these are great.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I think Brett's promos have aged pretty well. I
<v Speaker 1>think like his cadence and the way that he talks
<v Speaker 1>very naturally, especially as we have gone on in history
<v Speaker 1>ten twenty thirty years and everything just feels so fucking manufactured.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's just.
<v Speaker 1>Nice to like hear someone sound like they're just talking,
<v Speaker 1>Like that's just Brett Hart right there talking.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, Brett fucking runs out Austin. He says that
<v Speaker 2>you know, he's gonna take all those collected moments of
<v Speaker 2>stone cold Steve Austin, every time he jumped me from
<v Speaker 2>behind and every time he stabbed me in the back,
<v Speaker 2>and he won't be able to scream loud enough the
<v Speaker 2>words I give in the submission match. And I just
<v Speaker 2>want to, you know, say the fact that Ken sharm Rock,
<v Speaker 2>it's gonna be Rock. I respect that, I respect this
<v Speaker 2>guy's reputation, and I just hope he calls it down
<v Speaker 2>the middle, and he hope he gets nice and close
<v Speaker 2>to hear those magic words. I quit wrestling here thirteen.
<v Speaker 2>I'll be the five time WWF champion and I'll be
<v Speaker 2>looking at a nice long, healthy run, the best or
<v Speaker 2>is the best there was, and without a shadow dot
<v Speaker 2>the bester ever will be. And this is fucking no interruption,
<v Speaker 2>right like no, uh, someone else's music hits and he
<v Speaker 2>comes out. This was almost you know, it's close to
<v Speaker 2>a WCW interview that you'll get on on raw probably
<v Speaker 2>for years to come to where the guy comes out,
<v Speaker 2>he fucking has his words and now he leaves. This
<v Speaker 2>was great.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, like a mean gene ramp pro on WCW or something. Yeah, okay,
<v Speaker 1>I get what you're saying. Yeah, that is a good
<v Speaker 1>way to look at it.
<v Speaker 2>Its cool.
<v Speaker 1>Well, we got to a pre tape. It is uh
<v Speaker 1>footage from a high powered WWF marketing meeting.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, this takes place at eleven seven pm. We get
<v Speaker 2>a shot of w BF headquarters, the original one, and
<v Speaker 2>we see first Jr. At a table. There's a graph
<v Speaker 2>behind him. I just want you to note here, James,
<v Speaker 2>that there were there was a gold dust and Brett
<v Speaker 2>Jack's figure on that graph.
<v Speaker 1>Oh was there? I didn't see?
<v Speaker 2>Yes, it was, Yes, obviously gold dust high selling figure.
<v Speaker 2>So that's why Brett.
<v Speaker 1>Not the Jeff Jarrett shotgun on Saturday.
<v Speaker 2>Night, not not the Jeff Jarrett Shotgun or the Owen
<v Speaker 2>Heart one side by side looking identical. Yeah, if you guys,
<v Speaker 2>if you guys missed it, we well, obviously we do
<v Speaker 2>the Deadlock after show on our Patreon, and a couple
<v Speaker 2>of weeks ago we did an episode where I had
<v Speaker 2>about eight figures that I cropped and sent to James
<v Speaker 2>and had him guess what they are, and he had
<v Speaker 2>quite the time with that.
<v Speaker 8>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>It was very fun and a lot of people liked it.
<v Speaker 2>So maybe we'll have to do that again in the
<v Speaker 2>near future because a lot of those, especially this hour
<v Speaker 2>ninety seven figures were fucked up looking.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Billy Gunn had some of the worst figures I've
<v Speaker 1>ever fucking seen in my life.
<v Speaker 2>That's a stone cold is all over in the back.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you can find that on the Patriot patreon dot
<v Speaker 1>com for a Slash and Deadlock ew of.
<v Speaker 2>Course, So Jared's at this table and he says, you
<v Speaker 2>want a marketing idea, you want to sell product. The
<v Speaker 2>name of the game is Hatch, Black Hatch. Then it
<v Speaker 2>immediately cuts to Howard Finkel, who is holding a World's
<v Speaker 2>Greatest Ring Announcements VHS with him on it, and he
<v Speaker 2>says now this is going to sell. Then it cuts
<v Speaker 2>to Vince U and Vince has a mannequin head here
<v Speaker 2>with a It has a two pay on and a
<v Speaker 2>headset on, and he says, oh, it's it's a horse hair,
<v Speaker 2>two pay and a headset all in one, which I
<v Speaker 2>believe is a shot at Eric Bischoff.
<v Speaker 1>Ah, okay, sure, I think.
<v Speaker 2>That's what that was.
<v Speaker 7>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>And then we get two guys here. I believe their
<v Speaker 2>names were Adam and Doug. I believe Adam was the
<v Speaker 2>redhead one and Doug was not Doug. I think so.
<v Speaker 2>I think that's what it was.
<v Speaker 1>It's either Adam and Doug or Adam and George.
<v Speaker 2>Oh fuck, it could have been George, Adam and his friend, or.
<v Speaker 1>Two dudes are here.
<v Speaker 2>Man, this is Deadlocke. It's a guy red hair and
<v Speaker 2>brown hair.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, yeah, I just looked it up. Adam and George
<v Speaker 1>were iconic super fans featured in WWF during the mid nineties.
<v Speaker 1>They were not paid actors, but rather Colisseum Video employees
<v Speaker 1>handpicked by Vance and Kevin Dunn to portray obsessed fans
<v Speaker 1>who would camp out for pay per views like the
<v Speaker 1>ninety seven to where Rumble sneak into locker rooms and
<v Speaker 1>act goofy.
<v Speaker 2>So Adam says, uh, he's wearing the Wrestling of thirteen
<v Speaker 2>hockey jersey, and George is wearing the Wrestling of thirteen
<v Speaker 2>denim jacket, and Adam says, what a better way to
<v Speaker 2>feel the heat of Wrustling of thirteen with his hockey jersey?
<v Speaker 2>This thing is the daddy.
<v Speaker 1>So next time we have the Sultan with the Iron
<v Speaker 1>Chic and Bob Becklan and uh, they're taking on Mike Bell.
<v Speaker 2>Mike fucking Bell, Mike Bell, you may know from history
<v Speaker 2>matches like getting thrown out of the ring onto his
<v Speaker 2>head by Perry Saturn.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, the Sultan, the Iron Chic and Bob Backlan come
<v Speaker 1>out here and there's just one guy in the ring
<v Speaker 1>in a singlet, and it's just like that's kind of overkill.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, Okay. Sultan also gets Piro that they miss that
<v Speaker 2>he's like ring and missus in ring piroh Yeah. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>So the Sultan will be facing off against Rocky Mayavilla
<v Speaker 1>at WrestleMania at thirteen. Rocky Mayavilla is the Interconinal Champion
<v Speaker 1>and he has ringside on commentary for this match.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, he has the fucking black long sleeve jeans outfit on.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, he must have saw Mike Bell watching the monitor
<v Speaker 1>backstage earlier. He said, you know what, I respect this guy.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna go out there for this one.
<v Speaker 2>I want to one up him and go out the
<v Speaker 2>ringside and show him what the rock's all about. He's
<v Speaker 2>not the rock ket is he.
<v Speaker 1>No, he's Rocky Mayavilla. But he does have some of
<v Speaker 1>the stuff from the rock character here.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, he mentions the or something, right, that's right.
<v Speaker 1>He mentioned that the Icy Championship is the People's championship.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. I assume we're not too far off from him
<v Speaker 2>joining the nation too, so that's probably that makes sense. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>Sultan beats the funk out of this guy. Man.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, the Sultan hot starts on Mike Bell. He
<v Speaker 1>splashed him in the corner, he boots him down. He's
<v Speaker 1>got the iron cheek boots on.
<v Speaker 2>Dude. Oh my god. And of course, remember the guys
<v Speaker 2>we were talking about earlier who are doing the bishoff
<v Speaker 2>sucks chant. The same guys here do a fought two
<v Speaker 2>sucks chit.
<v Speaker 1>Oh wow, I didn't hear that one.
<v Speaker 2>Fought to sucks.
<v Speaker 1>So Sultan hits a pile driver and then heads up
<v Speaker 1>to the top rope and hits a huge splash off
<v Speaker 1>the top.
<v Speaker 2>Someone should have gave Mike Bell the iggy to no
<v Speaker 2>sell the pile driver because I got no sold early
<v Speaker 2>on the show, so this move doesn't mean anything.
<v Speaker 1>Wow, I can't even believe, like Mike Bell no selling
<v Speaker 1>the pile driver and then heading back agency Hawk just
<v Speaker 1>looks at him.
<v Speaker 2>Oh fuck.
<v Speaker 1>So Sultan after the pile driver and the huge splash,
<v Speaker 1>locks in the camel clutch and looks over to Rocky
<v Speaker 1>Maya Villa and points at him, and of course Mike
<v Speaker 1>Bell taps out.
<v Speaker 2>You know this is early on in the Rocks career
<v Speaker 2>here because Lalla on commentary's talking shit to him and
<v Speaker 2>he has no responses, like he hasn't figured out like
<v Speaker 2>comebacks yet, Like Lawler saying, you know, uh, where's your
<v Speaker 2>rabbit's foot? Huh? You gotta be the luckiest kid in
<v Speaker 2>the world, and Rock doesn't say a word. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>if this was even five years later, Jerry Lawler is
<v Speaker 2>getting run down with every fucking insult imaginable for five minutes.
<v Speaker 1>Where's your rabbit's foot?
<v Speaker 2>Rock, shut up, bitch, you can find it up your ass.
<v Speaker 2>It's just some.
<v Speaker 1>So Sultan and Rock go face to face ringside here
<v Speaker 1>as Bob Backlan. I don't know what he does or
<v Speaker 1>where he goes, dude.
<v Speaker 2>Iron Sheek is screaming at the rock, assulting a rock
<v Speaker 2>or fucking facing off just one.
<v Speaker 1>Like it shows. It shows a quick shot of Bob
<v Speaker 1>Becklan with the glasses jumping around, and he's like, gone,
<v Speaker 1>there's a whole post smatch here. Where is not here?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? Where did he go? I didn't even think of that.
<v Speaker 2>I was so distracted by Iron Chic.
<v Speaker 1>The glasses are like up, you can't see ship.
<v Speaker 2>He's lost. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Iron Cheek is talking ship to Rocky maya villa fu. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Rock says, okay, well I do it here. Didn't write
<v Speaker 1>that one down. So Sultan goes to grab the belt
<v Speaker 1>and Rock says, you know, I don't think so that's
<v Speaker 1>the people's belt, that's my belt, and we don't have
<v Speaker 1>to wait till WrestleMania. I'll kick your ass right now.
<v Speaker 2>That was awesome. I like that a lot. I thought
<v Speaker 2>that was fucking I liked that he stood up for
<v Speaker 2>himself and he was about to fight until Tony Alice
<v Speaker 2>shows up.
<v Speaker 1>Dude, Tony Atlas jumps over the guardrail like and comes
<v Speaker 1>over and holds the rock back. I couldn't believe it.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, wow, what is the chances of that? Like,
<v Speaker 1>what are the chances of Tony Atlas.
<v Speaker 2>Being here at all?
<v Speaker 1>I mean literally, yeah, literally, like, what are the chances here?
<v Speaker 2>That's maybe what should be asking that? What the fuck?
<v Speaker 1>We didn't even like, we didn't even take a beat
<v Speaker 1>on this or nothing. Like Tony Atlas jumps the guard
<v Speaker 1>and holds the rock back and they say, you know,
<v Speaker 1>Tony Alice was partners with his dad and that's it.
<v Speaker 1>I never hear about Tony Atlas again tonight. All right,
<v Speaker 1>so now it's time to put all your fucking little
<v Speaker 1>babies asleep. That's right, mm hmm. It's time to enter
<v Speaker 1>the fucking warzone. Motherfucker warzon. Aaron Ferguson's.
<v Speaker 2>Mike Bell couldn't make it in the war zone, but
<v Speaker 2>Aaron fergus On ken and he's getting his ship in
<v Speaker 2>and he's watching the matches.
<v Speaker 1>He's getting his ship.
<v Speaker 2>Well ship, and then uh, you know, Billy God took
<v Speaker 2>liberties big, he fucking took liberties on him his bullshit.
<v Speaker 1>Fuck you man, figures. So he had the Shawn Michaels
<v Speaker 1>town Hall. HBK is here, he gets the entering pyro
<v Speaker 1>for uh for his return.
<v Speaker 2>He gets his Yeah that I wasn't sure. It feels
<v Speaker 2>like it's his like first time back. But I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>if you know.
<v Speaker 1>Se HBK in this era. I just think, oh, he's returning.
<v Speaker 2>Now, the big comeback is upon us. Did he Uh? Well,
<v Speaker 2>of course Vince gives him that shot my God, which classic,
<v Speaker 2>so uh, Sean says it. You know, that reaction definitely
<v Speaker 2>helped him find a smile. He was looking four months
<v Speaker 2>ago and you'll never guess where it was. It was
<v Speaker 2>back in San Antonio where I left it, but now
<v Speaker 2>I decided to bring it with me everywhere I go.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, he thanks the fans for sending the cards
<v Speaker 2>and all that, and he says, you know, nobody knows
<v Speaker 2>more than me except maybe my parents how hard and
<v Speaker 2>difficult I am to deal with. And he looks at
<v Speaker 2>Vince and says, you know what, you might know that too. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that's right.
<v Speaker 1>He's not even telling the half of it.
<v Speaker 2>He's fucking annoying. Oh YEAHU Sean, God, Damn, I hate
<v Speaker 2>dealing with this fucking guy's you were so much holy yeah,
<v Speaker 2>fuck like I was hoping he wasn't coming back gang like,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what he's I was we had nineteen
<v Speaker 2>ninety seven without him, but Jesus.
<v Speaker 1>Where was he gonna go?
<v Speaker 2>E c w hap Thick. In the background of Sean
<v Speaker 2>doing this emotional pro bore, they're not.
<v Speaker 1>Even They're not even doing the pro anymore. It's literally
<v Speaker 1>them going back and forth on commentary and then it
<v Speaker 1>pants better them and they're just looking at him. All right,
<v Speaker 1>you finished?
<v Speaker 2>So Sean you know talks about his condition and Vince
<v Speaker 2>asked him that, and he says, and then he is
<v Speaker 2>coming along and next week I'm going to see doctor
<v Speaker 2>Andrews and he'll let me know what's going on, and
<v Speaker 2>hopefully within the next couple of months, I'll be in
<v Speaker 2>the ring, whether or not anybody likes it or not.
<v Speaker 2>Like it'd be awesome if you just retired for a
<v Speaker 2>little bit. Shut off a bitch.
<v Speaker 1>We just saw him bread of twenty years.
<v Speaker 2>Sean's staring at the waiting for his turn. So Sean
<v Speaker 2>you know says that I have to tell you the
<v Speaker 2>time off he's done wonders for me and I know
<v Speaker 2>a lot of people don't like it, that's right. But
<v Speaker 2>when I get back in there, I'm gonna be bust
<v Speaker 2>in a move. And when I get back in the here,
<v Speaker 2>the clothes are coming off one way or another.
<v Speaker 1>What okay? Coulda just said you're excited to be back
<v Speaker 1>and wrestling fans?
<v Speaker 2>But all right, and Sean says, uh, you know he's
<v Speaker 2>gonna be a WrestleMania it's right around the corner. He's
<v Speaker 2>upset that he didn't get an invite for it. So
<v Speaker 2>Shawn's back just in time for Russell MANI of course.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, Big Van Vader with Paul Hayman and Mankind
<v Speaker 1>and they're taking on Davy boy Smith with Owen Hart
<v Speaker 1>European Championship match.
<v Speaker 2>Oh was it for the title? I didn't even fucking
<v Speaker 2>catch that, I think, so, oh okay, that makes sense.
<v Speaker 2>They were parading around with the title, so that makes sense.
<v Speaker 2>This is real Vader and real Mankind, by the way,
<v Speaker 2>not Mini Sadly.
<v Speaker 1>So, Owen Hart has a Slammy Award still from last
<v Speaker 1>year and him and Davy are the tag team champs
<v Speaker 1>right now.
<v Speaker 2>And Owen keeps grabbing the European title and trying to
<v Speaker 2>parade around with it, very treveror Lye and Adam pressk.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Davy boys like, get the fuck off the title.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, man, stop fucking my shit.
<v Speaker 1>So Vader backs Davy Boy to the corner and just
<v Speaker 1>starts unloading on his ass.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, fucking lights his ass up. Like, Vader is awesome.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, we can talk about Vader all day. Also,
<v Speaker 2>British Bulldog is awesome. I don't know how much we've
<v Speaker 2>gotten to see British Bulldog like singles, especially talking you know,
<v Speaker 2>on the show, other than you know, when he was
<v Speaker 2>in the jeans, which I enjoyed.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean that is a whole different era. I
<v Speaker 1>mean the genes of course commemorated in the video game Forever.
<v Speaker 2>Which is always very true, but you know, this era
<v Speaker 2>of Bulldog, I mean he's he's never not gigantic, right,
<v Speaker 2>like he's always fucking huge, but man, he's a monster.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Vader is like really bringing it to him though, Like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what I expected with this match here,
<v Speaker 1>but I actually ended up really enjoying the match.
<v Speaker 2>I did too. I did too, like such a fucking
<v Speaker 2>easy story that they told here, like Vader size, but
<v Speaker 2>you know, Bulldog's impressive strength. Both like coming into play here.
<v Speaker 2>They this doesn't go very long, but what they did
<v Speaker 2>here is super fun.
<v Speaker 1>Davy Boy also has dog written on his pants just
<v Speaker 1>down the side.
<v Speaker 2>Awesome that dog.
<v Speaker 1>So Vader hits the Jake Something press and now I
<v Speaker 1>see an ecwrip sign in the crowd.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, what the fuck?
<v Speaker 1>What did they know?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? What did they know? In ninety seven, four years earlier.
<v Speaker 1>Vader tries to line down Davy Boy here, but he
<v Speaker 1>powers through and lines Vader down in reverse. Davy Boy
<v Speaker 1>then vertical suplexes Vader and shit cans.
<v Speaker 2>The holy shit dude stalling vertical suplex on Vader like,
<v Speaker 2>he holds him there for a good, you know, few seconds,
<v Speaker 2>nuts looking.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, very impressive. We go to commercial and come back
<v Speaker 1>and Vader hits the Vader splash for two.
<v Speaker 2>Off the second rope. Nuts. He's like, his splash is
<v Speaker 2>so crazy. He gets like he's not going outwards, it's
<v Speaker 2>just jumping straight up and down. It's fucking gnarly.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Vader misses the ass attack, which allows Davy Boy
<v Speaker 1>to attempt a crucifix pin here, but Vader doesn't go down.
<v Speaker 1>He just slams him right on the mat.
<v Speaker 2>Crushes him, dude, and that ring looks like it hurts,
<v Speaker 2>Like shit, there's not a lot of give there.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. He actually follows up with a splash, this time
<v Speaker 1>running and or standing? Would you rather sure? Only gets
<v Speaker 1>a two here? Vader hits a Jake Something press off
<v Speaker 1>the second rope. Now I've never seen that, which is awesome.
<v Speaker 2>Dude. Yeah, so sick cool as shit, and Jake Something
<v Speaker 2>might also should have to see this, because yeah, man,
<v Speaker 2>that was cool as hell.
<v Speaker 1>Vader goes off the second again, but Davy Boy power
<v Speaker 1>slams them off the ropes and hits two lines, and
<v Speaker 1>Vader tries to splash Davy Boy in the corner to
<v Speaker 1>try to get something back here, but Davy Boy straight
<v Speaker 1>up catches him horizontally and then body slams them.
<v Speaker 2>Fucking awesome, Like yeah, Vader goes for the splash in
<v Speaker 2>the corner. Super cool. How they did this, Davy Boy
<v Speaker 2>is a freak of nature. How he's able to just
<v Speaker 2>move this dude around power slam looked fucking cool. Then
<v Speaker 2>he goes for the he scoops him up going for
<v Speaker 2>the running power slam.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Davy gets Vader up for the stampede. But Mankind
<v Speaker 1>interferes and the match is a dec you win for
<v Speaker 1>Davy Boy as Owen Hart gets on the apron and
<v Speaker 1>hits Mankind and then.
<v Speaker 2>All yeah, dude, Mankind stops them, and then you know,
<v Speaker 2>Owen and Mankind are fighting in the ring. Vader jumps
<v Speaker 2>Owen so it's a two on one, and then Bulldog,
<v Speaker 2>before attempting to help Owen, turns and punches Paul bar
<v Speaker 2>in the head off the apron and takes the urn,
<v Speaker 2>which I was like, you know what, I didn't even
<v Speaker 2>consider this Undertaker is in an entirely different angle. Why
<v Speaker 2>the fuck does this earn matter at all?
<v Speaker 1>Still, dude, I have no idea. Yeah, Paul Bear has
<v Speaker 1>the urn. It falls into the ring. He just grabs
<v Speaker 1>it and starts using it as a weapon, a very
<v Speaker 1>video game esque.
<v Speaker 2>Makes a crazy sound every time he hits someone. He
<v Speaker 2>hits Mankind Invader in the head with it, and that's like,
<v Speaker 2>that's how we get out of there. Obviously, that's his building,
<v Speaker 2>like we said to the the WrestleMania match. But yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I was thinking about I was like, how how long
<v Speaker 2>do they still do? I mean, I get he's Paul Bear,
<v Speaker 2>but could the urn not have just gone away for
<v Speaker 2>a little bit, or is that iconic that he needs
<v Speaker 2>to have it? You know, like I either side of it.
<v Speaker 1>So now it's time for the main event, Billy Guy
<v Speaker 1>versus Aaron Ferguson.
<v Speaker 2>Let's fucking go is legit and Holy Ship based Aaron Ferguson.
<v Speaker 2>I could not find a lick of information about this guy.
<v Speaker 1>No, no, I mean, what a what a career this
<v Speaker 1>guy had?
<v Speaker 2>You could tell me he only existed right at this
<v Speaker 2>second here he was here for the purposes of Billy Gunn.
<v Speaker 1>That's the best type of art. Yeah, fleeting is the
<v Speaker 1>best type of art.
<v Speaker 2>You know what. You're right, You're right.
<v Speaker 1>You can't can't beat that. Aaron Ferguson, due, you know,
<v Speaker 1>the Picasso of professional wrestling.
<v Speaker 2>You know, I'm trying to see it doesn't even have
<v Speaker 2>like a cage match. He doesn't like ship.
<v Speaker 1>Did you check? Did you check under staying?
<v Speaker 2>Oh? Fucking you know, I should have checked that. The
<v Speaker 2>alter egos of yours. Wow, the people one wretch like
<v Speaker 2>him a lot.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, I imagine it's pretty high up there.
<v Speaker 2>They don't talk about him losing the Billy gun though.
<v Speaker 2>It's weird.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I would either right, So Billy Gunn versus
<v Speaker 1>Aaron Ferguson. Ken Shamrock is here on commentary.
<v Speaker 2>Of all the matches on this show that they could
<v Speaker 2>have had Ken Shamrock to come out to try to
<v Speaker 2>talk about this, that or the other. They have him
<v Speaker 2>come out and talk about the Aaron Ferguson match.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I'm not gonna pass up to be a ring.
<v Speaker 2>You know, sure, I guess you're right, dude.
<v Speaker 1>I mean I can't get Brett Hart's way of saying
<v Speaker 1>Ken Shamrock out of my head. Rock, So Billy gun
<v Speaker 1>Body slams Aaron Ferguson and then locks in a hold
<v Speaker 1>here as Ken Shamrock corpses on comment.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Shamrock is trying to be super nice. He's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that's a fucking good submission there, buddy, she looks good.
<v Speaker 1>Were they chanting Billy sucks here?
<v Speaker 2>Yes? I think that's right.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's hard when you have Aaron ferguson the ring
<v Speaker 1>to be over.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, the East Gona Be crowd loves Aaron Ferguson, dude,
<v Speaker 2>they do.
<v Speaker 1>He was one of the legends there. You might remember
<v Speaker 1>him his pit Bull Number two and then he went
<v Speaker 1>to sting.
<v Speaker 2>What a fucking career. Wow, very very darzo esk.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. So Billy gun logs in the arm bar and
<v Speaker 1>he gives up and.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, fucking son of a bit.
<v Speaker 1>Shout him, and Shamrock says, yeah, that's pretty good arm
<v Speaker 1>bar right.
<v Speaker 2>There, dude. He says, it's so incredulous, it's fucking funny
<v Speaker 2>as fuck.
<v Speaker 1>Well, Billy goes to ring side and says, Ken, Shamrock,
<v Speaker 1>fuck you.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you don't look tough to me. I don't think
<v Speaker 2>you can live up to your hype, and then tells Ken, hey,
<v Speaker 2>chill out, Chill the fuck out, now, come on, now,
<v Speaker 2>you're gonna be wrestling with this guy for the Interconal title
<v Speaker 2>for a long time and your future to chill out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, just go in there and bury him, Ken, Just
<v Speaker 1>bury out, fucker, breakish fucking legs. He's gonna be stuck
<v Speaker 1>in a road dog vortex anyways, can't Shamrock just go
<v Speaker 1>shoot on him.
<v Speaker 2>Him and his friends are gonna really fucking pitch me
<v Speaker 2>off for a long time. We should take him out.
<v Speaker 1>So Billy rolls back in the ring and calls Ken
<v Speaker 1>Shamrock to the ring and uh, Ken stands up and
<v Speaker 1>man he looks awesome.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, he looks fucking great. I mean he's also in
<v Speaker 2>fighter stance, like his fucking fighting stance, which is awesome.
<v Speaker 2>Like and Billy Gunnon mocks it. There's a UFC chant.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm really glad that Ken Shamrock like got involved
<v Speaker 1>with professional wrestling.
<v Speaker 2>Me too.
<v Speaker 1>I think he took to it pretty well. And I always,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I would never ever forget his entrance where
<v Speaker 1>he comes in and screams on the steps.
<v Speaker 2>Dude punches himself in the head and fucking flips out
<v Speaker 2>like it is awesome. You could say, I mean, he's
<v Speaker 2>pretty ahead of his time here, not only like you know,
<v Speaker 2>he's super early in early days of UFC, but you know,
<v Speaker 2>like other than you know him and Dan Severin, like
<v Speaker 2>super early in the crossover of coming to wrestling. If
<v Speaker 2>Ken if Ken Shamrock adjacent of how popular he was
<v Speaker 2>in UFC jumped over to like w E now, he'd
<v Speaker 2>be a man inventor.
<v Speaker 1>Sure it would have been cool to say DC jump.
<v Speaker 2>Oh my god, he I mean, like and he loves
<v Speaker 2>wrestling right, like I know, right would be cool.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, So Shamrock stances up on Billy here and they
<v Speaker 1>go to lock up, and Shamrock instantly puts him in
<v Speaker 1>an arm bar and Billy taps.
<v Speaker 2>Out and like I was like, Oh, that's gonna be it,
<v Speaker 2>but no, Billy gets back up and he said that's
<v Speaker 2>one time, but you can't do it two times, which
<v Speaker 2>is such a shitter thing to do. I actually love that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, And then Shamrock does it two times.
<v Speaker 2>Shamrock puts me in an ankle lock, which this is
<v Speaker 2>Billy gone off, so that he goes outside, grabs a
<v Speaker 2>chair and tries to rush the ring and he fucking
<v Speaker 2>is flipping out on the apron while the referee stops him,
<v Speaker 2>and he really wants them against Shamrock.
<v Speaker 1>So Billy gunn powders up the ramp with this chair
<v Speaker 1>and as he's leaving on the tron, Stone Colt, Steve
<v Speaker 1>Austin is here.
<v Speaker 2>He's here.
<v Speaker 1>Holy fuck, the scoops and rumors were true.
<v Speaker 2>They told the truth. He's here all these shit. So yeah,
<v Speaker 2>as you said, Stone Coll's down on the tron and
<v Speaker 2>Vince is talking to him, and Vince says, mister Austin,
<v Speaker 2>you must be very impressed with what you just saw,
<v Speaker 2>and Austin says, I ain't impressed with the damn thing
<v Speaker 2>because Billy Gunn just got through with a brutal match
<v Speaker 2>and Ken Shamrock went out there and tried to take
<v Speaker 2>advantage of him.
<v Speaker 1>But I love that Brett Hart is like trying to
<v Speaker 1>turn heel here and like Steve Austin's like, yeah, I'm
<v Speaker 1>still here.
<v Speaker 2>I don't care. He's such a dick. Yeah, And I
<v Speaker 2>want to know what the hell is so impressive about that.
<v Speaker 2>All he did was getting a couple of street fights
<v Speaker 2>and someone had a little video camera and he does
<v Speaker 2>the Hollywood blondetat.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's what I wrote down too. That's funny.
<v Speaker 2>I'm yeah, that was like suit. I mean, you know,
<v Speaker 2>maybe at the time people call it way more, but
<v Speaker 2>I was like, oh, that's fucking pretty cool. And he
<v Speaker 2>and they filmed it, and all of a sudden, he's
<v Speaker 2>a big star. He's overrated. One of these days, me
<v Speaker 2>and Ken Shamrock will square off and I'll beat the
<v Speaker 2>hell out of him as far as I'm concerned. Always
<v Speaker 2>got to do his call the match like he sees it.
<v Speaker 2>If he sticks his nose in, I'll bunch his lights out.
<v Speaker 2>And Vince says, well, why are you here? And Austin
<v Speaker 2>has a fantastic answer for this, Vince, is why are
<v Speaker 2>you here? Questioning why I'm here is a question a
<v Speaker 2>jackass would ask son. Because I'm the King of the ring,
<v Speaker 2>no one could tell me I can't be here when
<v Speaker 2>you set up a ring. I'm supposed to be here
<v Speaker 2>because it's my job. That is the best fucking answer
<v Speaker 2>he could have possibly given.
<v Speaker 1>That's fucking right. Yeah, all right, like he's the ring
<v Speaker 1>master first off.
<v Speaker 2>True, true at the king of the ring, dude, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, right, Like this guy is all about the ring.
<v Speaker 1>Don't set up a ring if you don't want Austin.
<v Speaker 2>To be there. You're damn right. I'm happy Brett Hart's
<v Speaker 2>getting title shot and by Hooker, by Crook going into WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 2>he will be the champion and it's going to be
<v Speaker 2>on the line. And when WrestleMania is over, you're looking
<v Speaker 2>at the new champion. Vincys, What what you mean by
<v Speaker 2>he's gonna be by Hooker Bright Grew? What are you
<v Speaker 2>talking about? Well, because Brett Hard never wanted to roll Rumble.
<v Speaker 2>I want it. I wanted to roll Rumble. I was
<v Speaker 2>supposed to go to WRESTLEMANI anyway, the final four. He
<v Speaker 2>only won because I was crippled and I was sick,
<v Speaker 2>and I would damn lot better now I was crippled and sick.
<v Speaker 2>Bret Hart on his best day can't lace my boots,
<v Speaker 2>and I will beat the hell out of Brett. And
<v Speaker 2>that's the bottom line. Because you're looking at the new
<v Speaker 2>champ fantastic. I mean, good lord, Yeah, obviously what happens happens.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, but even then, how can you not see
<v Speaker 2>this dude is so much different than everybody on this show?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah? For real? I love that he asked him, what
<v Speaker 1>do you mean by hook or by crook? I want
<v Speaker 1>to interfere in the main tonight.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm making sure Bright wins. I don't funk with him,
<v Speaker 2>but I want the title.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, I'm fucking the whole made up.
<v Speaker 2>Well backstage, Sid is yelling, I legit wrote Sid yelling.
<v Speaker 2>He says, I'm always ready, Vincent Ben and you stole
<v Speaker 2>call Steve Austin. You better keep yours out of my
<v Speaker 2>business cause you know, I know you why you're here.
<v Speaker 2>You got to be a complete idiot to not know
<v Speaker 2>what you're up to, which I love that Sid knows,
<v Speaker 2>he knows that Ausin is gonna try to fuck him tonight.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna take bright Heart, I'm gonna power bomb him
<v Speaker 2>right to the floor, and I'll walk out champion. And
<v Speaker 2>one reason why, because I'm the man, I'm the master,
<v Speaker 2>and I'm the ruler of the world. This is there's
<v Speaker 2>you know, obviously attitude error, you know the how many
<v Speaker 2>fucking stars are on top, but how many cool fucking
<v Speaker 2>dudes are on this show?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, there is a ton of cool dudes on this show.
<v Speaker 2>And did Vader Austin Brett, I mean, Sean's fucking cool,
<v Speaker 2>like fucking Ahmed Johnson's fucking on this show. Like, there's
<v Speaker 2>a lot of stuff happening here.
<v Speaker 1>So Vince starts talking on commentary here until the production
<v Speaker 1>team sets up the cage, and then of course we
<v Speaker 1>get to our main event of the evening, which is
<v Speaker 1>Brett Hart versus Psycho Sid for the WWF title in
<v Speaker 1>the Blue Steel Cage.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, Blue Steel Cage. This is a behemoth of a cage.
<v Speaker 2>This had sucked a bump against dude.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, like it's funny too, because there's points
<v Speaker 1>in this match where they're trying to climb over the
<v Speaker 1>cage to win and like, in my head, when I
<v Speaker 1>think of WWF climbing over the cage, I always think
<v Speaker 1>of like the mesh cage, like the big steel cage
<v Speaker 1>with the truss on the top. Of course, Like, yeah, okay,
<v Speaker 1>they climb over this big cage. And then I look
<v Speaker 1>at this and Sid standing on the top rope and
<v Speaker 1>he's halfway over the cage already. I'm like, ball fuck wow. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>in my head, it is not like this.
<v Speaker 2>So this is only escape, right.
<v Speaker 1>That's what it seems like. I didn't see anybody trying
<v Speaker 1>to win any other way.
<v Speaker 2>No, and there's no ref in the ring either, so
<v Speaker 2>I assume it's escape only. So yeah, like you said,
<v Speaker 2>but yeah, dude, Like but to your point as well.
<v Speaker 2>You know, the other cage has the top part too.
<v Speaker 2>This is just a big bar you have to climb
<v Speaker 2>over and hope it doesn't jam.
<v Speaker 1>Your balls, which was everyone's number one fucking problem with
<v Speaker 1>that deal, which is why they changed it to the
<v Speaker 1>next cage.
<v Speaker 2>That's what I was told.
<v Speaker 1>So Brett Hart makes his entrance first. Here he comes
<v Speaker 1>out all time cool entrance to me, Like, when I
<v Speaker 1>think of cool entrances, one of the first ones I
<v Speaker 1>think about is Brett Hart. I just love it.
<v Speaker 2>He the you know, the kind of I don't know
<v Speaker 2>if swagger is the right word that he has it
<v Speaker 2>when he comes to the ring, but he has that,
<v Speaker 2>you know, he you know, the Brett entrance. If you
<v Speaker 2>say Brett Hart entrance, you can visualize it if you've
<v Speaker 2>seen him enough. And like, he's just super cool. He's
<v Speaker 2>you know, he's he's walking with a purpose. It's not
<v Speaker 2>stone cold walk with a purpose, but it's still it's
<v Speaker 2>it's in the same vein.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Brett actually gives the glasses to the kid in
<v Speaker 1>the crowd, which is classic. I always think that's cool.
<v Speaker 1>And then the dichotomy of the entrances here Psycho Sid
<v Speaker 1>comes out badass as fuck, like completely different, like Aura
<v Speaker 1>compared to Brett Hart's entrance. Sid comes out with the
<v Speaker 1>WWF title, the ring jacket. He's fist bumping everyone. What
<v Speaker 1>a cool dude, man.
<v Speaker 2>He is so kick ass. He is the man like
<v Speaker 2>literally like that's and I will say WBF title looks
<v Speaker 2>awesome on him, this one especially.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I love I love the simplicity of his attire
<v Speaker 1>here too.
<v Speaker 2>It's very yes, yeah, just black he' right. Yeah, Like
<v Speaker 2>with the ring jacket kicks ass. Oh the vest dude. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>he he is cool as fuck and fantastic shape the
<v Speaker 2>fist pump or fist pumping fans. Is cool as shit.
<v Speaker 2>He gets in the ring and even with this cage,
<v Speaker 2>they give him the Sid text pyro, which is awesome. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>You know a lot of times when people talk about
<v Speaker 1>like guys from that era and they talk about guys
<v Speaker 1>that are huge. I mean, obviously Sid is tall, but
<v Speaker 1>everyone always talks about like Lex Luger, you know, like
<v Speaker 1>he was absolutely shredded and fuck he was like Lex Luger. Lord, Yes,
<v Speaker 1>on a different level when it came to his physique.
<v Speaker 1>But Sid is just I mean he is super shredded man.
<v Speaker 1>Like he has separation on his delts, his lats, his
<v Speaker 1>back looks no, my god, yeah, man, he just looks great.
<v Speaker 1>I can't can't tell you enough how great Sid looks.
<v Speaker 2>No, he's fucking He's also cool as shit man, Like dude,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, tall dude doing a power bomb is all
<v Speaker 2>I ever need in wrestling. For the most part.
<v Speaker 1>Sid should have done the casualty of war to Brett
<v Speaker 1>in this match.
<v Speaker 2>Holy fuck, I mean, somebody's gotta do it, like we're
<v Speaker 2>gonna have to start talking. Is that Jake something might
<v Speaker 2>have to start doing that fucking move, like something might
<v Speaker 2>have to give you here. I don't know, Jake Doyle
<v Speaker 2>might not be allowed to do it though.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, like I don't know what they're doing with
<v Speaker 1>that dude, or if he's even still there, what the
<v Speaker 1>case is. But like the idea of like Jake coming
<v Speaker 1>back and doing the casualty of war until Wardlow comes
<v Speaker 1>back and then they all like.
<v Speaker 2>Over the move, that's a lost art at the fucking
<v Speaker 2>move rivalry.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, right, that'd be dope. So the match actually starts
<v Speaker 1>with the lock up here. I kind of love.
<v Speaker 2>That, dude. I was surprised at how this match starts,
<v Speaker 2>like because you know, you look at Sid fucking monster.
<v Speaker 2>The match does not play out like there's a size difference,
<v Speaker 2>like Brett is so good and I guess so, like
<v Speaker 2>you know, in this world, Brett's so respected as a
<v Speaker 2>wrestler and an athlete, like nobody even bats and eye
<v Speaker 2>that he can not only lock up with Sid but
<v Speaker 2>get up on him to start.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Sid overpowers Brett or I think the story they
<v Speaker 1>were trying to play is that like Brett has to
<v Speaker 1>work around. Yeah, how tall that Sid is here? So
<v Speaker 1>like the only times like he's cutting them off at
<v Speaker 1>some points, but all his cutofs are like Sid makes
<v Speaker 1>the mistake right, Sid will climb, He'll he'll pull him
<v Speaker 1>back down, He'll take over for a second. Brett goes
<v Speaker 1>to climb, Sid grabs him. He just fucking throws him right.
<v Speaker 1>Like that's kind of like the deal.
<v Speaker 2>With when Sid grabs him too, it's so fucking nuts
<v Speaker 2>because he's not really like having to reach very far
<v Speaker 2>at all.
<v Speaker 1>No, dude, Yeah, when he stands on the top rope,
<v Speaker 1>he's like legit, like it's at his waist. It's nuts.
<v Speaker 2>This is crazy looking.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, Sid overpowers Brett early here he slams him
<v Speaker 1>into the steel cage twice. I love the shot they
<v Speaker 1>got here off the side of the cage. It looked awesome.
<v Speaker 2>That had to feel like shit, dude, that's like a
<v Speaker 2>That cage is unforgiving, not not mesh at all for
<v Speaker 2>those I mean, like, I'm sure there's people that know,
<v Speaker 2>but just in case you don't know, this, this cage
<v Speaker 2>is yeah, like James mentioned earlier, just blue bars. It's legit,
<v Speaker 2>like a fucking cell.
<v Speaker 1>Sid goes to climb over the cage to win, and
<v Speaker 1>this is where I noticed, like, wow, I mean he
<v Speaker 1>could probably step over this like big guy style on
<v Speaker 1>the ropes.
<v Speaker 2>He's there taunting yeah, and Brett fucking has to grab
<v Speaker 2>him by his ankle to stop him. And for some
<v Speaker 2>reason it made me think of two K Battlegrounds. Do
<v Speaker 2>you remember the cage match in that game?
<v Speaker 6>No?
<v Speaker 2>So it was the one where like, you climb up.
<v Speaker 2>It was like there was money on the cage.
<v Speaker 1>And I remember the money.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, you had to try to climb up and collect
<v Speaker 2>the money, but the cage would at certain points like
<v Speaker 2>electric qute you, so you had to do it before
<v Speaker 2>you get electrocuted or else that fucked you up.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's what happened in this match.
<v Speaker 2>Having a homicide in trying to get the money.
<v Speaker 1>So Brett takes over after stopping Sid from climbing out,
<v Speaker 1>and of course he tries to climb himself. Sid grabs
<v Speaker 1>Brett off the top rope and mother f and bombs him.
<v Speaker 2>Fucking awesome.
<v Speaker 1>Sid tries to go to the door here to get out,
<v Speaker 1>but Brett grabs his leg trips him, and this is
<v Speaker 1>where Steve Austin runs.
<v Speaker 2>Down of course, because Austin had a feel and Sid
<v Speaker 2>was gonna try to escape, and Austin's here and he
<v Speaker 2>fucking closes the door and Sid looks at him like, hey,
<v Speaker 2>what the fuck?
<v Speaker 1>Hey, fuck you man, I told you I was doing
<v Speaker 1>this earlier.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you said on this show that you knew I
<v Speaker 2>was coming, So why are you surprised?
<v Speaker 1>So we go to commercial, We come back and Sid
<v Speaker 1>hits the power bomb on Brett.
<v Speaker 2>And uh, you know what that should have been it?
<v Speaker 2>You know, Sid goes to climb up, but so do
<v Speaker 2>Stoke Gold Stunt Cold climbs up the other side and
<v Speaker 2>starts whooping Sid's s on the top of this cage.
<v Speaker 2>This is crazy visual.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, man, they just start throwing at the top of
<v Speaker 1>this cage.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>And then Undertaker also runs down and he climbs the cage,
<v Speaker 1>Brett climbs the cage. They're all up there beating each
<v Speaker 1>other's asses.
<v Speaker 2>Now, dude, this is fucking nuts looking yet four like
<v Speaker 2>these are not small dudes. Four dudes up there battling
<v Speaker 2>on the cage. You can hear the cage squeak from
<v Speaker 2>how much it should not have four guys on it.
<v Speaker 1>Right now, Undertaker punches Steve Austin off the cage. He
<v Speaker 1>goes down, he's on the floor. Now Brett gets Sid
<v Speaker 1>into superplex position and hits the superplex on Sid right
<v Speaker 1>in the sein.
<v Speaker 2>Oh my god. One, not only do I already love
<v Speaker 2>a great superplex, but I love Brett's superplex, especially two superplex.
<v Speaker 2>The Sid is fucking nuts, like that's a that's a
<v Speaker 2>match ender.
<v Speaker 1>Well, Austin grabs a chair from the outside and uses
<v Speaker 1>it on the Undertaker.
<v Speaker 2>He hits in the back of the chair, and then
<v Speaker 2>he starts stomping him out, and he pushes past the
<v Speaker 2>cameraman and says, get the fuck out of my way.
<v Speaker 1>I got that. That's funny. So Sid is climbing the
<v Speaker 1>cage now as Brett goes to the door on opposite
<v Speaker 1>sides of the ring. Who's gonna make it first? And
<v Speaker 1>Taker slams the door shut on Brett, and Sid is
<v Speaker 1>able to I'm out and win to retain the belt.
<v Speaker 2>I love this story, dude, I love this a lot.
<v Speaker 2>Like these four guys, you know, two and two are
<v Speaker 2>facing each other at Mania. They all have their issues,
<v Speaker 2>Like obviously Brett and Austin have their issues, and you know,
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure Taker and Sid have a story going on
<v Speaker 2>here too, But the title is so important that they'd
<v Speaker 2>rather fucking see the guy that they ultimately would not
<v Speaker 2>like to be champion because they want to be champion.
<v Speaker 2>They'd rather them win here because if not, it'll fuck
<v Speaker 2>up their chances or make their chance better in Austin's case.
<v Speaker 2>At Mania, I thought that, and I thought they executed
<v Speaker 2>as fucking great. I thought this was cool shit.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, So I mean Taker's face is said at Mania. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>so like, if Sid retains, Taker gets the title shot, correct,
<v Speaker 1>if fucking Brett retains, Steve gets the title shot. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean there's a lot here. I like it a
<v Speaker 1>lot too, man, Yeah, I thought it was dope. So yeah, man,
<v Speaker 1>we get the Brett Hart town Hall, very very infamous
<v Speaker 1>Brett Hart town Hall. Here, the crew is breaking down
<v Speaker 1>the cage. Vince enters the ring to talk to Brett.
<v Speaker 1>Of course, after losing the match, Brett is fucking pissed,
<v Speaker 1>of course, and uh yeah, man, what follows next is
<v Speaker 1>very legendary. Brett Hall, Brett Hall, Brett Hartmo.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so Vince is here to interview Brett. He mentioned
<v Speaker 2>before the break that he was gonna we were gonna
<v Speaker 2>get a word from Brett and he Vince gets in
<v Speaker 2>the ring and he says, Brett Hart, you gotta be
<v Speaker 2>terribly frustrated, extremely frustrated over what just happened. Bret snatches
<v Speaker 2>the mic from him and shoves Vince down, and Lola goes, WHOA.
<v Speaker 2>Which I don't know if this is the first time
<v Speaker 2>somebody put their hands on Vince or not. I can't
<v Speaker 2>say for sure, but the reaction was pretty big.
<v Speaker 1>Well, it definitely changed the Yeah, changed the emotion in
<v Speaker 1>the room for sure.
<v Speaker 2>So Brett has the mic and he says, frustrated. Is
<v Speaker 2>it the goddamn word for it? This is bullshit. We
<v Speaker 2>apologize ladies and gentlemen.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, wow, I mean dropping goddamn and bullshit and stuff.
<v Speaker 2>I mean this, Yeah. I think that's why it was
<v Speaker 2>even crazier. Like, you know, Brett was not this kind
<v Speaker 2>of promo, right, Like we talked about his promo earlier.
<v Speaker 2>How he's you know, straight laced and very you know,
<v Speaker 2>to the point. And this is Brett over the top.
<v Speaker 1>And this is on fucking television right now.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, right right in ninety seven.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, good lord says goddamn like one hundred times here.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, Vince gets up to sheveled, he leaves the ring,
<v Speaker 2>he stands the ringside. He's watching this and uh, it's
<v Speaker 2>it's interesting because Brett's cutting this promo and I'll I'll
<v Speaker 2>go over the promo here in a second. But Brett's
<v Speaker 2>cutting this promo and he's looking at Vince door in it,
<v Speaker 2>and it's so weird how like the shots are very
<v Speaker 2>similar to like how it looks when the screw job happens.
<v Speaker 2>Like it's same side of the ring, Like Brett's looking
<v Speaker 2>over and Vinces giving him the look and like super
<v Speaker 2>close to exactly how the end of the screw job goes.
<v Speaker 2>And like I was like, that's you know, if the
<v Speaker 2>conspiracy theorist and me thought for a couple you know
<v Speaker 2>seconds about that, you know, well, you know.
<v Speaker 1>There's standards in camera operations.
<v Speaker 2>Horse and you know, but you know, if if it
<v Speaker 2>were to happen, you know, maybe a couple easter eggs there.
<v Speaker 2>So Brett loses his mind. You screwed me, Everybody screws me,
<v Speaker 2>and nobody does a goddamn thing about it. Nobody in
<v Speaker 2>the building cares. Nobody in the dressing room cares. Aaron
<v Speaker 2>Ferguson doesn't care. It's so much goddamn it justice around here.
<v Speaker 2>I've had it up to hear. Everybody knows that I
<v Speaker 2>know it. Everybody knows it. I should be the WF champion.
<v Speaker 2>Everybody keeps turning a blind eye. You keep turning a
<v Speaker 2>blind eye to it. I got the gorilla monsoon he
<v Speaker 2>turns a blad eye to it. Everybody in the goddamn
<v Speaker 2>dress room knows I'm the best, or is the best
<v Speaker 2>there was, and the bester ever will be. And if
<v Speaker 2>you don't like it, tough shit. This is awesome. He's
<v Speaker 2>so fired up, dude.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I thought this was fantastic. It felt just super real, man.
<v Speaker 1>I think that's one of Brett's calling cards. Really was
<v Speaker 1>like his ability to mix professional wrestling with like just
<v Speaker 1>who he is, uh, was just second to none.
<v Speaker 2>I like, you don't like it, tough shit? Him saying
<v Speaker 2>goddamn was crazy enough, you know. And to make things
<v Speaker 2>better now he's left right side. He is on the
<v Speaker 2>tron again.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah sir, how he did that happen? What the fuck?
<v Speaker 2>He ran in the back very quickly, So Austin says,
<v Speaker 2>all you want to do anytime you go in the
<v Speaker 2>ring is cry, like a baby. I tried to go
<v Speaker 2>out there and help you, and you threw it all
<v Speaker 2>away because you're a loser. It could have been you
<v Speaker 2>and me for the Championship of WrestleMania, and you blew
<v Speaker 2>the whole damn ding because you're a loser. And he's
<v Speaker 2>fucking mad, and Brent says, well, you want to know
<v Speaker 2>why they call you stone Cold? Because your stones are
<v Speaker 2>so cold? Your stones, you won't come out of here
<v Speaker 2>step in the ring with me. You always gotta jump
<v Speaker 2>me from behind. You don't got the guts to come
<v Speaker 2>out here. He definitely thought the Stones line was like
<v Speaker 2>a killer.
<v Speaker 1>Well, he was going for the Stones line, and then
<v Speaker 1>Stone Cold just started fucking talking.
<v Speaker 8>You know why they call you stone on? What the
<v Speaker 8>colls don't go for? They call you stone?
<v Speaker 2>What do you call me?
<v Speaker 1>Don't go for? Hey? Let me let me God damn finish.
<v Speaker 2>Let me get loud, loud.
<v Speaker 1>Talking about many company to talk about with the company.
<v Speaker 1>The fuck is wrong with you? Stone called Steve Austin,
<v Speaker 1>fuck you man, Oh blow our match up?
<v Speaker 3>Many?
<v Speaker 2>I hate so dude, this is okay. I forgot all
<v Speaker 2>about this part. I just know that Brett Harp part.
<v Speaker 2>I forgot that this is where this part comes from,
<v Speaker 2>and I love this. The Sid is back out here,
<v Speaker 2>he's got the title, and Brett starts laying into him
<v Speaker 2>and he says, if you Brett says, if you think
<v Speaker 2>for one second that bell belongs to you, you're wrong. That's
<v Speaker 2>my belt. You know it, I know it. Everyone knows it.
<v Speaker 2>And Sid walking down the rimp. He gets to the
<v Speaker 2>bottom of the aisle and.
<v Speaker 9>He says, I don't know shit, cry baby, man, he's
<v Speaker 9>so fucking good.
<v Speaker 2>Sid has more better, like more iconic lines off the
<v Speaker 2>mic than he does on No shit baby, So fucking
<v Speaker 2>Brett tells him to come on, and Sid gets to
<v Speaker 2>the ring and they face off. We're gonna see him
<v Speaker 2>go at it again.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, So Brett and Sid face to face. Undertaker comes down.
<v Speaker 1>Brett just suicide dives.
<v Speaker 2>Shit, dude, you were talking about doing the in the
<v Speaker 2>video game, doing the Taker dive. That's what this was
<v Speaker 2>for me too. Brett just fucking sees Taker and immediately
<v Speaker 2>runs and dives on him, and Brett is mounted, punching Taker.
<v Speaker 2>I've never seen such a thing like this before. Brett
<v Speaker 2>is mounted punching Taker, and Taker like they're scrapping all
<v Speaker 2>runs in and slides on the ground to overtake and
<v Speaker 2>start kicking Brett's.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so he overtakes that situation. Then Taker just walks
<v Speaker 1>in the ring and him and Sid starts swinging on
<v Speaker 1>each other.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, I was like, what the fuck? This is awesome?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I love this. So Patterson and some refs come
<v Speaker 1>out and they break up Brett, Hart and Austin, and
<v Speaker 1>then Brett punches Patterson and Vince loses his fucking mind.
<v Speaker 2>That dirty rot inside of a bitch. Don't do that, Patterson,
<v Speaker 2>fuck you, He fucking snaps. Yeah, like Joe Brisco definitely
<v Speaker 2>got taken out too, and that did not matter nearly
<v Speaker 2>as much.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, So Taker and Sid goozle each other in the ring.
<v Speaker 1>Sean Michaels comes down the ramp with his bad knee.
<v Speaker 2>Big pop for Sewan, of course, and Vince is trying
<v Speaker 2>to don't do it. Don't do it, Sean, he's your hurt.
<v Speaker 2>Sean is watching his Brett back body drops Austin on
<v Speaker 2>the floor in the dark. Yeah, like the only saw
<v Speaker 2>because the camera kind of showed it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Then Austin's schoolboy's Brett in the middle of a scrap.
<v Speaker 2>That was funny. Well, love that. I was like, oh
<v Speaker 2>my god, school boy did fucking take over the situation.
<v Speaker 2>That was kick.
<v Speaker 1>Ass, Breton Austin fight up the ramp, fucking Sean Michaels
<v Speaker 1>enters of the ring, Undertaker and sid Or fighting ring side.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what's going on, but Wrestle Many at
<v Speaker 1>thirteen is this week.
<v Speaker 2>Good dude. Sean's involvement of this was super unnecessary. Like,
<v Speaker 2>I gut, he's over. He comes out here, walks by
<v Speaker 2>Austin and Brett fighting, picks up a piece of a cage,
<v Speaker 2>drops it. He's like seeing Taker and seeing get out
<v Speaker 2>of the ring. So he gets in the ring, goes
<v Speaker 2>out of the ring, grabs a chair, goes back in
<v Speaker 2>the ring, sees nobody's paying attention to him. Then he
<v Speaker 2>gets out of the ring. The fuck are you doing, buddy.
<v Speaker 1>He's coming back for that fucking belt. Y'all got to
<v Speaker 1>the end of the year. I'm coming back for this motherfucker, right.
<v Speaker 2>And I'm guessing that's what the idea was, right, like
<v Speaker 2>keep him in the title, pick your picture, I guess, yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>absolutely yeah. The show ends with bretton Austin fighting up
<v Speaker 2>the ramp, and uh, I mean man, what a what
<v Speaker 2>an electric wid end? The show?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, shit was dope.
<v Speaker 7>Man.
<v Speaker 1>I really liked the ending. I had a good time
<v Speaker 1>watching the whole show.
<v Speaker 2>Really, No, it was fun, dude. I mean obviously, like
<v Speaker 2>you know, we talk about this era a lot, and
<v Speaker 2>like you know how ww was just kicking all sorts
<v Speaker 2>of ass. But this is a this is a strong show.
<v Speaker 2>There was a lot of you know, you could see
<v Speaker 2>where things are going. There's a lot of momentum going
<v Speaker 2>into media and that's obviously what you would want. And
<v Speaker 2>you know, Mania season is probably a great time to
<v Speaker 2>start watching any fucking era WWE because that's when they're
<v Speaker 2>super trying. So that's uh what they were trying for here,
<v Speaker 2>building all the big matches of Manian Yeah, no, made
<v Speaker 2>for a fun show, and the Brett Hart stuff was
<v Speaker 2>fucking awesome, and you know, I did enjoy myself here. Well,
<v Speaker 2>that is it for WWF all March seventeenth, nineteen ninety seven.
<v Speaker 2>And now it's time for the main event.
<v Speaker 8>Let's read some fucking names, all right.
<v Speaker 1>Now it's time for the main event. The Patreon shout
<v Speaker 1>out segments segment, there's just.
<v Speaker 2>Wow, I mean, separating the one, just the one.
<v Speaker 1>Starting in the five dollars tier PJ. Julius Vargas killer
<v Speaker 1>d No. Eighty seven year old woman calls police because
<v Speaker 1>she is hungry and lonely. Officers show up and kick
<v Speaker 1>her ass.
<v Speaker 2>Well that's not a lot a lot of vitriol in
<v Speaker 2>that one.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, kick her ass was fully loaded there.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, all caps extended s like yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Wow, Nazareth Schmidty powers sam as Bots and I told
<v Speaker 1>them I invented Dick the Cop Jackson. That's definitely also
<v Speaker 1>a dance Scavin Dance user name. I see you.
<v Speaker 2>I'm pretty sure.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Yeah, they had a song back in the day.
<v Speaker 1>Uh dude, I was playing Wow, I was playing like
<v Speaker 1>Halo two. I don't know why I associate games and.
<v Speaker 2>Music with I love that. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, but like I just remember that playing Halo two
<v Speaker 1>and listening to that album. It was I think it
<v Speaker 1>was Downtown Battle Mountain Dance, Cavin Dance, like first big
<v Speaker 1>hit album after their original.
<v Speaker 2>Sure. Yeah, this guy was just coming up with his
<v Speaker 2>own thing here.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Actually fucking probably had nothing to do with that,
<v Speaker 1>my bad.
<v Speaker 2>Man, no idea what you're talking about?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, sorry about that. Kyle Rhino's TNA singlet when
<v Speaker 1>he cut the y into an eye. Had one of
<v Speaker 1>the Big Show's burritos last night and a damn near
<v Speaker 1>killed my toilet, called that sharp shooter.
<v Speaker 2>That's every day of my life.
<v Speaker 1>Tyler Blan, Sam Thomas Martin, Machine, David Devlin, Darien Barlow,
<v Speaker 1>ten Dollars, Tier the Ghool, Raw Dogging, Mister House, Platinum
<v Speaker 1>Chip Style. Why all right, buddy, you've had a few weeks.
<v Speaker 1>Did you consume any other media?
<v Speaker 2>Me? No, I told you, like, I'm almost done wrestling.
<v Speaker 2>It's close, but no, I haven't.
<v Speaker 1>Dude. You can get to that thing art and fall
<v Speaker 1>out so quick where you learn about Yes, come.
<v Speaker 2>On, I was thinking of Doctor House. I know that
<v Speaker 2>guy you know from the show.
<v Speaker 1>He does like Tna, Tyler Blackheart, Mama Hernandez, Tyler Hall,
<v Speaker 1>the Green Bastard from Parts Unknown?
<v Speaker 2>Is that another show thing? That's right?
<v Speaker 1>That's right? Trailer Park Boys, Trailer Park.
<v Speaker 2>Boys, Okay, I have seen that. My dad has seen
<v Speaker 2>way more of it, though, and he would get that,
<v Speaker 2>and I will tell him that and he will laugh.
<v Speaker 1>Michael nash Khalif my mom asked me for a rare
<v Speaker 1>ae W action figure for Mother's Day, even though she
<v Speaker 1>knows my brother makes more money than me. I told
<v Speaker 1>him to that.
<v Speaker 2>Dude, there must have been just a horrible chase. Richard's
<v Speaker 2>a joke there, and God, God blessed that this poor
<v Speaker 2>soul did not know the character limit.
<v Speaker 1>Roses are read, poems are silly. Hey, Johnny, I'm in
<v Speaker 1>town for mania. Is there anything to do in Philly?
<v Speaker 2>Fuck? Off is what you can do? You can start
<v Speaker 2>there and then you can watch Doctor House.
<v Speaker 1>Come on the The number one answer is always asked, Johnny.
<v Speaker 2>That's also the show's not called Doctor House. Isn't it
<v Speaker 2>just House? Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I think it's just House.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, See, I don't consume. I'm still in wrestling, so
<v Speaker 2>eventually we'll get there.
<v Speaker 1>Horace Hogan, Steve Goldberg, and Eric Angel are the real
<v Speaker 1>legacy to me, dude, that's birth right, Alex Wallace, b Bone,
<v Speaker 1>Jimmy Price, Samuel j.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>In twenty fifteen, Jesse Ventura threatened to break my neck
<v Speaker 1>over Star Wars tickets.
<v Speaker 2>That's like a Dan record story in twenty fifteen. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>what what Star Wars Wars twenty fifteen?
<v Speaker 1>Dude? Wow, I guess there was some Star Wars movies
<v Speaker 1>that were coming.
<v Speaker 2>Out of time sure, Okay, in my head, that's.
<v Speaker 1>Like eighties, nineties and early two thousands, and then.
<v Speaker 2>Horse Awakens came out in twenty fifteen.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, was that like the first one or the third one?
<v Speaker 2>Shit? Oh it's the first, yeah, of the sequel. How many?
<v Speaker 1>How many of these series come out? Like I'm just
<v Speaker 1>thinking about Halloween, like when they redid it recently, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm thinking, now, how many times have they had this
<v Speaker 1>problem recently where they make three fucking movies and the
<v Speaker 1>first one's like, oh shit, maybe they got something, and
<v Speaker 1>then they just they just don't. Yeah, yeah, didn't that
<v Speaker 1>happen with Star Wars too?
<v Speaker 2>I think it happens with every Okay I'm not first
<v Speaker 2>on Star Wars, so I mean.
<v Speaker 1>I mean you might know, g Star Wars, I know
<v Speaker 1>what the fuck's going on?
<v Speaker 2>Sure, yeah, I don't really know. It just happened a lot.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it does. It does happen a lot.
<v Speaker 2>It's cheese too, because like everyone's with it too. If
<v Speaker 2>you're a fan of a series, like more times than not,
<v Speaker 2>you're probably gonna give it a go, so like it'll
<v Speaker 2>at least the first one will make money.
<v Speaker 1>Why don't you even remember people talking about the new
<v Speaker 1>Star Wars. The only one I remember people talking about
<v Speaker 1>was the dude with the little Yoda thing.
<v Speaker 2>Oh that was Was that a movie or was that
<v Speaker 2>just the show?
<v Speaker 1>That was the show?
<v Speaker 2>I think yeah, that's right, that was the show. I
<v Speaker 2>remember that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, baby Yoda, right, yeah, that's right.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I'm pretty sure Jude's name was not Baby Yoda either,
<v Speaker 1>probably had nothing to do with Yoda.
<v Speaker 2>There's nothing funnier, by the way, people don't know this,
<v Speaker 2>and maybe someday will I'll have to invite him on
<v Speaker 2>just for something, or on Patreon or something just for
<v Speaker 2>you to talk about it. But there's nothing funnier than
<v Speaker 2>you and Chris talking about Star Wars. I mean it is,
<v Speaker 2>it is so it like it fucking breaks down so
<v Speaker 2>quickly of just fuck it, just because I don't really
<v Speaker 2>know much Star Wars, so I'm just trying to I'm
<v Speaker 2>in the middle of Chris and James just arguing about
<v Speaker 2>Star Wars and like, it's so fucking funny. Someday, someday
<v Speaker 2>you'll all experience it.
<v Speaker 1>Well, like we just like Star Wars, we like everything
<v Speaker 1>for completely different reasons.
<v Speaker 2>That is very true. Guy's arguing about Dragon Ball.

<v Speaker 2>Bar or something.
<v Speaker 1>Oh ah man the chase, Richardson, no chaser.
<v Speaker 2>Which is what we would do.

<v Speaker 1>going down the list of shit. We did the wrestling promotion,
<v Speaker 1>we did T.
