Even when I'm coaching the kids, I'll say some stuff you know about will the nice Hayes run nice Hayes h like? And then say some other stuff. The next one, Sandlot, absolutely incredible. One of my coaches called me Smalls back in the day because I wore my hat up like Smalls did. Great story for kids or a great movie for kids. I wish more kids would get outside and do this. It doesn't happen too often anymore.

Speaker 2: I've been hacking Sack new Jersey, Richard pryor absolutely hysterical, hysterical movie. He's got to spend all this money so he can get more. Absolutely phenomenal bull dorm. I thought that had to be up there. Anything with Kevin Costner is truly amazing, funny, goofy movie talks about Cratzy in the minor leagues pretty much and how it went.

For the love of the game, a lot of these picks, a lot of these picks for me is really how the movie made me feel. I think maybe that's how anybody is. So it's not necessarily the movie how it like how it went, or like how was produced or is it a classic or whatever. For the love of the game. For some reason, I even had my license plate on the first vehicle that I ever purchased was for the Love. So that's one of my top five. The Sandlot is a classic that is just brings you back. I can sit down and I can watch that movie every single time from start to finish. And that's why I kind of left some of the movies I left off of this because I can't watch them some of them start to finish. Some people are gonna laugh at my Summer Catch with Freddy Prince and Freddy Prince and Jessica Biel, But Summer Catch was made in two thousand and one. I was in college and my dream was to what get drafted, to watch Freddy Prince go to the Cape, be the underdog story, the guy who probably shouldn't have even been on the Cape. It was exactly what how I got my summer ball job. Now, granted I didn't get in trouble like Freddy's character did in the movie, but the fact that I was in love with my now wife, current girlfriend, and I was trying my hardest to make it to the big leagues, just like Freddy's character was, he was he was, And so that's why Summer Catch really hits home with me. The natural while maybe not like the best movie. For some reason, I sit down and I watch that thing start to finish. Whenever it comes on, I will not turn it off. I think it's because it was the first baseball book that I ever read, and the movie for me didn't disappoint, and I gotta see the lights blow up at the end of it. And Major League is the first movie, first rated R movie that my dad and I ever watched, and we watched it over and over and over and over again, and we still laugh to this day about that movie.

That's good one Moneyball at three. Treasure League is in there. At four, Moneyball is AJ's favorite. Eight Men out at five, that's about the nineteen nineteen Black Socks scandal. It's pretty old movie. The Natural at six. They have Old Durham at seven, mister Baseball a man.

It's the fields for me because it was that time period where my fat face was not making it to the big leagues and it was like, are you are you taking care of your family? Do you have to do the right thing? And then he comes back and he makes it to the big league. Sorry to ruin it for everybody who hasn't. It's a real story. So it's a great story. Maybe the listen cheesy Disney part of it wasn't you know, maybe maybe didn't click with me. It's definitely a top ten though I got the same feels I got my dad. Even my dad even teared up when he watched it. He's like, I was just watching it. He's like, this is your story. I'm like, Dad, I'm not thirty seven, like I made it to the big LEAs at thirty like I was way ahead of it.

Speaker 1: That's yeah, there's going to be any movie there is. But anyway, the part from the Rookie that hit. I remember seeing the commercial and then I was like, we immediately need to go. I like the realistic stuff, but just for a little bit of an unrealistic disney Ish part of the movie where he throws the baseball and then the miles per hour on the road like picks it up, but then it's wrong and it clicks back into the right number. That just I don't know, for some reason, that just hit for me. I'm with two on I'MDB did and half of the Love of the Game. I don't know if I have it won, but I just think it's very underrated and maybe you're just a sucker for the emotional story. Just I liked the cinematography, the way they took us in and out of what was going through his mind during that perfect game. So I mean, I don't think he was going through his whole life story, but I just thought the way that they drew it up was really cool. We have one more list for you, Rotten Tomatoes number one. Many of you heard don't know it because it just came out and it's called EFIS. I don't want to like trash all over Rotten Tomatoes, but I have heard that they're kind of in their steroid era right now, so numbers get juiced so ephis I have not seen it. It might be incredible. It came out in twenty twenty four. They have Bull Durham number two, The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg at number three. I've never seen that one. The League at four, Moneyball at five, Up for Grabs at six?

So I can't comment other than the fact that there shouldn't be three movies in the top ten that I haven't heard of, And I mean, everybody Wants Some was made in twoenty sixteen, and I'm looking at I'm looking at the people on the the cast Glenn pat nineteen eighties and six is a comedy. I love comedies. Yeah, my career was a comedy. But if there was a movie, there was a movie that signified my career, trouble with the curve kind of a slow mood for me.

It just feels like for me, it's an irritat movie. I'm not as irritated as as AJ about it. And now he just kind of that's like his like platform that he stands on, like that's his political running, his running platform that he's just you know, he's never going to watch Moneyball, but he also is never going to watch Sandlot the Sandlot, So it he doesn't have he doesn't have credibility in in movies for me. But I think there's always I think there's always one Brewsters Millions. He that was on his list. The the owners the Owner's network always played that during the time of the year, during the time of year when I was like, I want to see some baseball highlights, show me some old games, don't show me. Don't let me turn on your your owner's network and see Brewsters Millions again, Like I don't. I don't need to see him. He the Owner's Network. That's what it is.

Speaker 1: This overrated for me because I want to pick something that's in the cream of the crop, top ten for most for some reason, Like I respected and was fine with Bull Durham, but after I watched it, I was just like, that was fine. I don't need to see that again. A lot of the jokes just didn't hit for me. I don't know, it's just it didn't connect with me like so many other ones we're going through right now did. I'm not saying it was a bad movie. I'm just saying I didn't watch that and be like absolute classic, Oh my god, that was incredible. That was hilarious. It just didn't hit for me like I thought it would because that was one that I didn't see until a little later in life. It was one that I was looking forward to seeing. A lot of people are like, oh, bull Deram, that's the best movie ever for baseball. You got to see it. And then I'm like, you know, you know how you like really get ready for one that gets typed up. You sit down, You're like, this is going to be an all timer. I was like, oh, that was good. I was like, that's not an all timer for me. Controversial.
