What's up? Guys? Welcome to Dinner with the Healers. My
name is Eric, and with me as always are my
lovely wife Amanda Hi, guys, my beautiful daughter Stella Hi,
and my super handsome son Henry. Hello. If this is

In this episode, we are rewatching season one on episode
twenty four, Wagon Ride and talking about how we feel
about it now, three years later after we watched it
the first time, and it is going to be super fun.

Speaking of things that are awesome, we just got done
rewatching wagon ride.
They's going the wagon?
Yeah, not the wagon, Henry, could you tell us what
was going on at the beginning of this episode.
At the beginning of the episode, we can see Bluuie
and Bingo waking up Bandit because they want to go
to the park so they can play on the monkey bars.
Bannitt tries to see if Chili will take them, but
Chili tells Bandit that she's asleep. Blue, Bandit, and Bingo
head down to the kitchen so then Bannit can splash
water in his eyes. And then Blue says we should
go on the wagon, and ban said, oh, not the wagon.
He doesn't seem too excited about pulling the wagon. I'm
guessing that he's had problems with that before. Amanda, what
did you think about seeing the girls just laying on
Bandit to wake him up, That that's what he opened
his eyes to.
That has to be a shock in the morning when
they're both laying there staring at you.
Yeah, we haven't had that with these two as much
as we've had that with our pets. Yes, but Chili
saying that she was still asleep. I think the roles
are reversed in this house. I've probably tried to pull
out on you before.
Wait what Yeah?
Right, you should see the look she's given me. Guys.
Oh goodness.
Stella Bingo is super stoked and she has a friend
coming with them. Who is it?
It's her plushy name, Jasmine.
Jasmine must be one of Bingo's favorites. She sure is
excited to have her come along. And in the wagon
bandit tells the girls to do something before they can leave. Stella,
what's going on?
He tells them to put on their seatbolts.
Yeah, but there aren't any, right, Yeah, it's a wagon.
It's cute though that they're good natured about that. Do
I ever make jokes like that? Yeah?
You do?
Are you good natured about them?
I don't know, it depends.
That's a node to everybody body listening. Blue is super
super stoked to go to the monkey bars, and she
has a plan ready to go.
First, I get you there and then back then got
to skip ball one way and then now.
Skip ball on readack.
They've barely got going and band It encounter somebody stella,
who is it and what's going on?
They ran into Bandit's friend named Rocco, who was out
jogging and him and Bandit were trying to talk, but
Bluie just didn't want to wait and she wanted to
get to the monkey bars now, so she asked Bandit
if they could just go and ahead to the monkey bars.
We hear a phrase right here about having to get
up early, Amanda, what was it?
Rocco made the comment to Bandit that he was up
pretty early, and Bandit says, gotta be done.
Speaking of got to be done, there is an awesome,
awesome Bloey podcast called Gotta be Done. They're like the
original Bluey podcast, one of my all time favorites. They've
been so kind to us in our podcast and we

Yeah, definitely check them out.
Mary and Kate are definitely awesome. Anyway, Banda is wanting
Blue to be a little more patient. Blue actually has
a plan that she would rather institute instead.
Yeah, I've got a plan, you know. Allowed to stop
the wagon and chat to your friends. You have to
take us straight to the monkey boss. Nice stopping.
Hmmm, interesting plan. I know how about this plan? I'll
do what I want and you don't tell me what
to do.
No, I don't like that plan. Let's get with mine.
Thanks.
Bluey didn't seem like she cared too much for that plan.
No, she did not, and Bandit said that was fine.
What did he do instead of continuing to take the
wagon of the girls to the park, He turned the
wagon around and decided they were going to go home.
But then Blue quickly changed her mind and said, okay,
we can go by your planned dad.
Yeah, she changed her tune pretty quickly. Well, Bandit comes
up with a different plan this time, Amanda, what's going on?
Banda tells Blue that the next time he stops to
talk to somebody, he wants her to put her hand
on his arm and then that will let him know
that she needs to tell him something. But if he's
still talking, he'll put his hand on her hand to
let her know that he understands she wants to talk,
and he'll be able to talk to her in just
a moment.
I thought that was a really good plan.
I thought it sounded like it worked to me and.
It was a very patient and loving way for him
to handle this situation.
Yes, it was.
As they continued on in the wagon, they went past
a cross street and I saw the sign. Did it
say Bean Street and Glows Street?
Yeah? I think that's what said.
I don't know why. That just struck me. I love
seeing stuff like that. Henry Bluie is still talking about
what she's going to do as soon as she gets
to the monkey bars. What's her plan now?
Her plan is after she does the skip bar, she's
going to hang upside down and be a fruit bat.
She has put a lot of thought into what she's
doing on the monkey bars when they get there.
Yeah, she really has been planning a lot.
Do you do that, like when you would go to
the park, would you be thinking of the exact order
that you were going to do things?
No? I would just really whenever we would get there,
I just really start running around, sliding down slides.
Yeah, that's always how I rolled too. In the meanwhile, Henry,
we find out it's a special day to celebrate. What
is it?
It is Jasmine's birthday.
Yep, Bingo's little plus friend is having a birthday. Right away,
Bandit meets up with another parent, Stella, who is it
and what are they doing?
Bandit runs into Chloe's mom and she's going on a
walk and pushing her baby in a stroller, and she
was talking about how the baby was just now learning
to roll over and about how he keeps her up
all night.
Do you remember when Henry was born, him keeping all
of us up all night?
Not really, but that was a while ago.
I feel like you were able to sleep through it
pretty well. Yeah, maybe it was, Amanda. What do you
remember from those days?
I remember being up a lot.
Yeah. Would you have been out in the early morning
going for a walk with the stroller?
No?
No, that's a firm no.
No.
We were more of a let's turn the TV on
quietly and try to rest.
This time, Bluie did a much better job of letting
Bandit know that she was ready to go. Still, what
did Bandit tell her?
Bandit told her that she did a good job, but
she just needs to be more patient. And he also
told her that next time they had to stop, that
she should look at what Bingo is doing.
Right, because so far Bingo has been doing a good job.
Is staying patient. Bingo was picking some birthday ferns for Jasmine.
Before they get back on their way, they get stopped
again by someone, Amanda, who is it?
They stopped to talk to McKenzie's dad, who was out
riding his bicycle, and he said the same thing to
Bandit as everybody else that they've stopped to talk to
so far has said, e're up early, and Bandit responds
with the same words, got it done.
Blue is having a tough time staying patient, and we
hear the soundtrack music start to get all echoe to
show that she is having a hard time clinging on
to her patients. But she remembers what Bandit told her, Amanda,
what happens?
She remembered what Bandit told her about next time they
stop watch what Bingo does? She looks over and she
sees Bingo playing with Jasmine over in a patch of grass,
and she was telling Jasmin that the wagon had broken
down and how were they going to get to the
birthday party? And then Blue had a plan.
I think the magic here was that Bingo was just
playing wherever they were. She played in that moment, and
that was what Blue was supposed to take away from
the whole thing, Bingo starts to amuse herself instead of
expecting someone to do it for I did like how
when Blue looked over there, the light, the angelic light
almost like you expected to hear oh shining down on
Bingo watching her play, And it really did accent her
cute innocence.
It really did.
But yeah, Blue had a plan to play, now, Henry,
what did they do?
Bingo was saying at the bus stop with the old
lady and Blue was pulling the wagon, and Blue told
Bingo that the bus was heading to the party area.
So Bingo gone on, showed Blue her ticket, and Blue
pulled the wagon to the party area.
The little lady that Bingo was sitting next to, you
could tell she thought that was really cute. I was
hoping she would have a line. I was hoping she
would say something. I don't know why. I don't know
what I expect her to say, but I just thought
that would have been cute.
How fun at the party?
Yeah, bandit tells them that it's time to keep going
to the park. And Blue seemed kind of disappointed, didn't she, Henry, Yeah, she.
Did seem a little disappointed. I think she'll still wind
the play bus.
Yeah, she enjoyed that. She wanted to play bus stop.
As they get to the park, they're crossing this big bridge, Henry,
what do the girls yell down there?
They're yelling you won't get us, bridge troll. Yeah, we
eat some of the kids.
I liked that Bandit was ready to play along and
tell that bridge troll how it was going to be Stella.
Bluey seemed super stoked when she got to the monkey bars.
What happened?
She only went across the monkey bars once, and then
she asked Bandit if they could go back to the
bus stop.
How did that make you feel when you saw that, Stella?
I think that if a kid did that to me,
I would be pretty annoyed, especially since blue was complaining
the whole time about wanting to go to the park.
Yeah, that he wasn't getting them there quickly enough, But
once he did, she took one trip across and was
ready to be done. Amanda, have these kids ever done
anything like that to us?
Oh? Never, They've never done anything like that. Maybe a
few times, not today so far though, so far not today.
Yeah, Banit goes ahead and goes back to the bus stop.
This time, both of the girls are passengers, Amanda, what's
happening in their game?
The girls are at the bus stop, sitting on the
bench together, and there are a couple of other people
waiting at the bus stop as well.
As they're sitting there.
They're complaining about how late the bus is going to be,
and then we see Bandit roll up with the wagon
and he doesn't seem very excited, and he calls out
that the bus is here, and the girls hop in
and they're ready to go.
Bandit seemed embarrassed to be playing this game in front
of the other grown ups there. We had the lady
who was there the first time, and now we have
two other people, one guy on his phone and another
one listening to music, and Bandit seems like he's self
conscious about pulling in this game a little bit. And
the guy on the phone kind of is looking at
him grinnin because you know, he's probably thinking, oh, I've
been there, brother. But Bandit did something super cool, Henry.
What did he say?
He asked if anboy else wanted to hop on?
Yes, and they politely declined, probably, which was good for him.
That would have been a tough pull.
Yeah.
The one guy said, oh, we'll just wait for the
next buff.
Yeah.
I thought that was cute that he kind of played along.
Yeah, that one was cute. That's one thing when parents
are out and you see other parents, especially with littles,
and you're remembering what it was like, you immediately get
taken back to that time and put yourself in their
shoes and start looking for is there a door that
they girl are going to need open that I can
go grab for him because you just remember how tough
it was. Yeah, it was so cute. It sure seemed
like they were having a good time, didn't it.
Yeah, they look like they're having a really good time.
As bandit was pulling him. He's the bus driver and
he's telling the girls, you ladies are out early. Henry.
What did they tell him?
They told him God to be done.
And that was the episode, Henry. Did we forget anything?
Nope? I don't think so.
Well, you know what it's time for.
Did we learn anything today?
Could anyone tell us what did you learn today?
I learned that sometimes he has to be patient and
also sometimes kids will be like, oh, I want to
go to this place, and then whenever you get there,
they'd be like, Okay, can we go back now.
Both of those things are true, yes, anyone else.
I agree with Henry that I learned that sometimes you
just have to have patience, because in this episode we
realize that Bluie needs to have more patience, but I
think we also see that parents need the patience also,
because for Bandit to wake up with both of the
girls in their face wanting him to get up like
right now, and then being in a hurry to get
to the park. As a parent, you definitely have to
have that patience as well, So everybody needs to have patience.
I think Mom and Henry are right. Being patient is
something everyone has to do.
Being patient is tough, and everybody did have to be
patient here. Blue He wasn't being patient with her dad.
Bandit was being pretty patient with Bluie, but you could
tell it was starting to wear them out. I was
glad that the other parents were cool. They recognize, yeah, kids,
you know how kids are. They're something all right, and
didn't make a fuss about it. Bingo was the one
who was sort of the bright shining star of who
to learn a lesson from in this one that every situation,
the only thing you can control is your reaction. To it.
How you react to a situation. That's the only thing
that you can control. Most of the time. You can't
make somebody else do something different, but you can decide
to not get upset. You can decide to not make
a huge deal out of it. And what she did
was she found her own fun in the moment wherever
they were, and was really fairly agreeable about everything because
nothing was getting her down.
Yeah, she was doing a really good job. She was
keeping herself occupied, she was using her imagination, she was
being patient, not being in a big hurry.
She was doing her own little Bingo thing.
She was going to have fun no matter where she
was exactly, and her fun is all kind. It's oh,
it's your birthday, let's do something amazing for you. Oh,
let's do this for you. Bingo is a very very
kind person, she really is. And that's tough. When you're
a kid, I get it to be in a situation
like that where your parents are talking to somebody, and
I know these guys had to deal with it.
Oh yeah.
At my work, people would always want me for something
and they would have to just sit there while people
talk to me about things. And for the most part,
they were pretty cool. Henry did a better job of
it because he would typically just start playing with something.
I think it's a little bit easier for the younger one.
Yeah, I know.
There would be times when I would get stopped at
like the grocery store by somebody I knew, and within
a few seconds of talking to another grown up, you
would hear the can we go?
Now?
Can we please go?
I remember hearing the car horn honking and the engine
revin out in the parking lot, and it was Stella.
She was like six. She's like in the car saying
let's go, Stella. Did that really happen?
No?
Does anybody have any parting thoughts about the episode?
I feel like the part to where after they get
to the monkey bars and then Blue asks if they
could go back to the bus stop. Sometimes that's me,
especially whenever I have to go to the grocery store,
because I'd be like, yeah, I'll come help you, and
then after like five minutes being there, I'd be like, Okay,
can we go home now?
Yeah, that's a little bit different, though. It would be
different if you were like, hey, can we go to
Lego Land? And then the second we got in, You're
like Yep, there's lego stuff here. Can we go home? Now?
It would be like that and you wouldn't do that, though,
would yet?
No?
I would not do that.
Yeah, Lego Land's pretty great.
I like being able to see Bandit play with the
girls like that. I bet they had a lot of
fun doing that.
Did you like it when I would do stuff like
that with you?
Yeah? I did.
Yeah.
I liked how in this episode Chili got to sleep
in while Bandit took care of the kids.
Yeah. I thought that was pretty cool. That's how it
is here usually too, so I can see why you
would identify with that.
I'll just keep my mouth shut.
Fair fair, fair fair. I enjoyed this one. I love
seeing Bandit playing with the girls, and I also like
seeing the other parents. Their conversations are so realistic, talking
about how, oh this baby's keeping me awake all night
and just stuff like that. It's just a slice of
life for the Healer family, and we can all relate
to some part of this. We can all find ourselves
in every one of those interactions. I can see myself
in Bandit shoes, I can see myself in bluey shoes
being like, well, let's wrap this up. And move along.
I got stuff I want to do. Yes, I can
put myself in the shoes of the other adult being, like,
I can't believe this kid is acting like this, you know,
all the stuff.
Yes, it's all very relatable.
I think the person I wanted to relate with the
most was Bingo. I don't know that I always do,
but that's who I wish I could emulate all the time. Right,
She's just in it to win it. She's doing her thing.
Nothing gets her down, and man, that is a good
way to approach life.
It really is.
She's just I don't know, she's just a sweetheart.
She is. She's probably one of the most happy people
you're ever likely to meet. Yeah, I know I said
this before, but I really liked the interaction with the
other grown ups at the bus stop when Bandit had
to pull up as the bus and pick the girls up,
watching them and watching the older lady and the smiles.
It was so subtle and so perfect. It was awesome.
I love that.
It was very cute.
And if I were at that bus stop and I
saw Bandit pull up to pick up the two kids
playing bus and he said, anybody else need to ride,
I would have done the same thing and said something funny,
you know, to go along with it, like oh not thanks,
or something like the one guy did.
Rise I really enjoyed this episode. Well, guys, we think
Bluie is awesome. And speaking of things that we think
are awesome, Henry, what should we do next?

I'm expecting that you guys would know. They're the social

And there's a lot of like counting and singing things
that would be tough for us to really make an
episode about. There is one bright shining star in them, though,
and it's Bandit telling the story of Cinderella in only
the way Bandit can and it's pretty darn good. I
don't know that we could do a whole episode about it,
but you never know. Maybe one of these days will
give it a go.
Bandit is a great storyteller.
