00:00:06 Speaker 1: Hello, George, Welcome back to the Give Them Lai Lat podcast. The Bonus episode with Britney Cartwright, people went insane, writing questions. 00:00:14 Speaker 2: Are you ready, I'm ready? 00:00:16 Speaker 3: Do you like Q and A or do you get nervous? 00:00:17 Speaker 1: No? 00:00:17 Speaker 3: I like him all right? 00:00:19 Speaker 1: Purce L Jennifer says, uh, what do her parents and family think of Jack's Now? 00:00:27 Speaker 2: My family is super nice and they I mean, they don't like love him by any means, but they like have a lot of respect for him as the father of my child. So they're not going to like be mean to him, but they're not going to He's not going to be as close by any means as like how he used to be, right, you know what I mean. Like, my family's super nice, super forgiving. That's just who they are. That's just who they are and why I am the way I am. So, you know, my dad was just here for Cruz's birthday and I told him that, like, you know, Jackson's gonna come to the birthday, and my dad was like, well, that's fine, you know, and they both talk to him, my dad and my stepmom a little bit, you know, just stuff like that. 00:01:08 Speaker 1: But Jack's ever call your mom if he needs to get in touch with you. 00:01:13 Speaker 2: He hasn't done that recently, but he probably would, like if it went there. 00:01:21 Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what I mean, like if he really needed to get in touch with you. 00:01:23 Speaker 2: Yeah, he's got like weird I don't know, he gets weird jealous things even whenever it comes like my family, Oh my god, just weird. 00:01:31 Speaker 3: I can't imagine how he feels about you talking to his sister. 00:01:34 Speaker 2: Oh, and me and Jenny are super close, but he doesn't act like he cares about that. 00:01:38 Speaker 1: So really, yeah, maybe he thinks that like God keeps you close to what yea his yeople? 00:01:45 Speaker 2: Because I'm down to like take Cruise to Michigan to visit Jenny. I love her that much and I love Patrick, and I want them to always be in Cruise's life. She's a great person, great aunt. She's always had my back. 00:01:54 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:01:55 Speaker 2: So, and Jackson's always like, I'm like, yeah, I'll take him to Michigan. Jacks's like, well, can't I go? And I'm like, we're not going together, Like I could take him once, and you could take him once maybe if things are okay, but we are on like family vacation. 00:02:10 Speaker 1: He's tripping some Nicole zero nine zero five. Do you ever see you in Jack's co parenting in a healthy way? 00:02:18 Speaker 3: My ex was a drug disaster. 00:02:21 Speaker 2: I mean, that's the goal, one hundred percent. That's the goal is to get there. It's it's a struggle. Every day is different. But for the most part, like whenever we only talk about Cruise, it's fine. It's whenever Jackson wants to like come in and you know, I did that Brownie ad and he was asking me if I was dating one of the brawny guys. 00:02:38 Speaker 3: You're like, no, I'm dating all of that. 00:02:41 Speaker 2: So it's just like a lot of like ups and downs, you know what I mean. Yeah, he's got to let go of a lot of the control that he thinks that he has over me, you know. But whenever it comes to cruise, that is both of our main goal. So you know, I just hope that one day it gets, you know a little bit better. 00:02:59 Speaker 3: I think that. I think it definitely. 00:03:01 Speaker 2: I think it will too. It's still fresh right now and we're still reliving everything from last summer. 00:03:06 Speaker 3: So if you think about it, a year is really nothing. Yeah, a year like that's like a. 00:03:11 Speaker 1: Nice cushion to start healing. But a year really is like no, especially. 00:03:16 Speaker 2: When you've been together for so long. So if we're ex fighting, if you don't get along with the person you're co parenting with, it makes it extremely difficult. But I try to do my best and put that crap aside and you know, do whatever I think is best for cruise. 00:03:28 Speaker 1: Do you ever have moments where you're like, oh my gosh, this is so funny, this whatever that happened. I got to call Jackson, it's like, oh wait, like breaking that habit. 00:03:38 Speaker 2: I had that a lot of times. He was like my very best friend because I was with him twenty four to seven, and he was the person I told everything to. If it wasn't a secret, it had to keep from like my friends, you know. So yeah, that was kind of weird to have to stop telling him everything. Yeah, yeah, I. 00:03:56 Speaker 1: Can imagine that would be hard. I mean I remember going through my shit and I was like, all I want to do is call the one person who. 00:04:02 Speaker 2: Caused all of them exactly. 00:04:04 Speaker 1: So that's a fucking weird fel Yeah. Golden ex ex Lolita says, do you feel used. 00:04:09 Speaker 3: To being an LA girl already? 00:04:13 Speaker 2: I mean not really, Like I said, I don't even know where I am right now, so like when it comes like GPS and stuff, does I. 00:04:21 Speaker 3: Feel like home though? Does La feel like home? Yeah? 00:04:24 Speaker 2: Like my house, Yeah, feels like a home one hundred percent. Like I'm so glad. I love it there. I love my neighborhood. I love you know, me and Cruise, and I feel like I have I don't have family here, but I have like you guys here, and that's like my family in La. It's like my close friends. So I definitely do feel at home in La. I'm always going to be a Kentucky girl, a country girl, Like I don't think that that's ever gonna leave me. Yeah, but I enjoy La a lot. 00:04:50 Speaker 3: When you land in Kentucky, do you feel home? 00:04:52 Speaker 2: I feel home there too. 00:04:54 Speaker 3: Wow. 00:04:54 Speaker 2: Sometimes I get like really bored because, like my mom's we live so far out in the country, so like the WiFi works like half the time, and then I'm like, how did I live like this. 00:05:03 Speaker 3: For so hard? 00:05:05 Speaker 2: So there is a lot that's changed. But also even technology has changed a lot since I've lived in La. 00:05:12 Speaker 3: You know what I'm meaning the sneak game, what I was doing, I like. 00:05:16 Speaker 1: I had a Facebook maybe, oh, yeah, like a MySpace, I remember thinking, and you could put like your top eight bus friends. 00:05:23 Speaker 2: God if I had that, now, can you imagine how all my friends would be acting? If I had to pick my top. 00:05:28 Speaker 1: Eight you could only pick, it would be horrendous. Who would your top. 00:05:33 Speaker 2: Oh, I'm not even doing that. Please absolutely not, guys for today. No, I already go through it enough on the valley, I can't, can't. 00:05:41 Speaker 1: Even Mine would be you, Sheena, Janet, my mom, Easton, Logan, Leo. And then I need a filler so that person could always be swapped in. That's the one that would change, like every. 00:05:56 Speaker 2: My top eight too. I mean, I guess I could say who they are, as long as I didn't have to do like an order the orders. 00:06:06 Speaker 3: Oh gosh, your mom in there. 00:06:12 Speaker 2: Top eight. If I'm just doing like friends, it would it would be you, Kristen, Zach, Janet, Kara, mm hmm, oh gosh, am I missing people? Michelle and then oh gosh, see it's hard because I have so many good friends about home too. 00:06:38 Speaker 3: I think they top the rest of them all. 00:06:41 Speaker 2: Yeah, and so it would be like, uh, Lindy and Marianne. 00:06:45 Speaker 3: Love it so No, Nia and I. 00:06:48 Speaker 2: Didn't say, Sena, like, you know, they're all spoken. I love Shina, I love Nia. I thought I got so many close friends about home too. 00:06:57 Speaker 3: I know that's why the topic was hard. 00:06:59 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's is hard. But all those people would be on it getting changed in and out. Let me just say that. 00:07:05 Speaker 3: Yeah, I get trouble. 00:07:07 Speaker 1: See, I keep such a small circle, so like mine's easy. I got a phone call from someone the other day wanting to know about my friends. 00:07:14 Speaker 3: I'll just leave it at them. 00:07:15 Speaker 1: Do you know the call that I'm talking about? And I was like, you guys know who my friends are? You know who my friends are? 00:07:22 Speaker 2: Yeah, Mike, I don't know what anybody. 00:07:25 Speaker 3: People make me nervous. You know this called Sena. 00:07:28 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's hard. 00:07:29 Speaker 3: Got the roll of deck. 00:07:30 Speaker 2: It's hard to like trust people, I guess you know. 00:07:34 Speaker 1: Yeah, you think that's why you gotta be be around people who have a lot to lose as well. Yeah, Kyle s Boyd, besides his delayed speech cruisies, were there any other indicators of autism for Cruise. 00:07:49 Speaker 2: Dev Well, obviously the delight speech was like the first thing that we started noticing, and then his stemming, so he would you know, do stimming here? And there he walked on his tippy toe a lot when he was younger, and that could be an early sign of autism, okay. 00:08:03 Speaker 3: And. 00:08:05 Speaker 2: Just things like that really, and then he started not looking at people, Like the eye contact was a big thing, Like he looks at me, he always has, but like friends would come over or something and they would talk to him and he just would not look up. 00:08:20 Speaker 3: Okay. 00:08:20 Speaker 2: So those were some of like the early signs that I had. 00:08:23 Speaker 3: How is he with touching? Does he like to be. 00:08:27 Speaker 2: He loves getting tickled and stuff? Okay some days? 00:08:31 Speaker 3: Was that ever an indicator or not for cruisy? 00:08:34 Speaker 2: Not too bad for a cruisy, I know that is for a lot of kids on the spectrum, but not too bad for Crusy. Maybe with other people. But he's super loving with me, so like I don't notice it that much, you know what I mean. And anytime like Kristin or one of you guys comes over, like he lets you like tickle him and stuff. But he also might need a space a little bit, But it wasn't one of the things that was like an early indicator for okay, so you know, you would say your top were the delayed speech and then the tippy toes and eye contact, yes, yeah, okay, those and stemming, like sometimes he likes to like not bite his palm, but like push his palm of his hand really hard onto his mouth and he goes like ooh like that yeah, and that's something that he does. He used to flap some, but he's like kind of stop that completely. Wow, so OT is really but he's not stemming near as much as he used to. Ot is really helping him. 00:09:24 Speaker 3: Does he stem when he is excited, overwhelmed? All of it? 00:09:27 Speaker 2: All of it? So a lot of people think like if he's stemming, that he might just be like completely overwhelmed, which it could be. But sometimes he's like really happy and like just like really into something and you know, he just doesn't know how to get it out, so he just stems a little bit different and I just stim with him. 00:09:44 Speaker 3: I love that. 00:09:48 Speaker 2: Because I don't like to feel like he's out of place. Like if we're like in line somewhere and he starts like, you know, getting excited, then I'm going to get excited too. If he wants to spin in circles, then I'm going to spin in circles too. You're such a fucking I don't want to feel out of place, you know. 00:10:02 Speaker 1: I loved on Halloween you sent everybody. I think it was on Instagram something about like if you see a kid who's older, then you would usually see trick or treating. 00:10:15 Speaker 2: Like don't immediately go to like the worst thoughts that he shouldn't be tricker trading. It could be somebody on the spectrum. It could be somebody who was still a kid at heart very much wanting to enjoy all that stuff. Or it was also about like if a kid isn't saying thank you on Halloween, like maybe they're nonverbal, Like it doesn't always mean that somebody's being rude. So like anytime we were trick or trading, I was saying thank you, and like I could tell like a lot of times they were wanting like cruise to say it, and I was like, I was like thank you, you know, and I've made it like very obvious, like I'm saying thank you for him. But a lot of people think that that could mean that a kid's rude whenever it's not true, right, you know, So I'm just trying to make people aware, yeah, because. 00:10:56 Speaker 1: You do think I saw kids on the playground yesterday, I took Ocean and they were like, uh, jumping all over the place, and they seemed much older than kids who would play on a playground. 00:11:05 Speaker 3: And I immediately went. 00:11:06 Speaker 1: To that, and I'm like, I'm not gonna say anything because I don't know, So I just politely said, hey, guys, can we allow you know, Ocean to come through because I immediately went to what you said. 00:11:17 Speaker 2: It's true and there are kids who maybe are doing different things. 00:11:21 Speaker 3: I think they were a little asked. 00:11:22 Speaker 2: Yeah, but you had to like give people grace. 00:11:24 Speaker 1: Because you never know, you know what I mean, they ended up being a little asked, like that could have been a different situation. 00:11:30 Speaker 2: But you know, at least you knew to think about it first. 00:11:33 Speaker 3: Because of you. Yeah, that's great, you've taught me. 00:11:35 Speaker 1: Thanks can't decode zero four. Who from the cast do you think will surprise viewers the most in the second half of the season. 00:11:42 Speaker 2: Is it weird if I say myself, no, there's still a lot to come. 00:11:46 Speaker 1: No, I don't think it's weird to say yourself at all. You've had the most going on this season. 00:11:50 Speaker 2: Yeah, there's still a lot more to come, and I think that that's what's going to shock. Everybody is like, how can there be more? 00:11:55 Speaker 1: There is a lot, It's like never ending. Yeah, can I tell you who surprised me? Dody and we weren't getting along at this point in time, like when I had. 00:12:04 Speaker 2: Watched Oh yeah, Dody does it and I never called. 00:12:07 Speaker 3: So I don't know why. 00:12:09 Speaker 2: No, But Kristen, Kristen does absolutely amazing as well. 00:12:12 Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, who is this person? 00:12:14 Speaker 2: Yeah, she's like grown up, she's ready to be a mama. I can't I'm so excited for her. 00:12:18 Speaker 3: Calm makes sense. I'm like, what the fuck? Yeah, I don't like you? Why do I like you? Watching this show? 00:12:24 Speaker 2: I think even Alex Baskin said me and Kristen were like the two that he that he thought like the most people will be surprised about. 00:12:32 Speaker 3: Yeah, I fully agree with that. 00:12:33 Speaker 2: I agree with that too. Like Kristen does incredible. 00:12:37 Speaker 3: Yeah, like you you both well, I love you both. 00:12:40 Speaker 2: I just think I have a lot of things that people are gonna be shocked that it still has to happen. That's why LAST like myself. 00:12:45 Speaker 1: You know, I can't believe you keep a smile on your face, to be honest. 00:12:48 Speaker 3: That's when I if I don't laugh all across. I got it. 00:12:53 Speaker 2: Stay happy and positive. 00:12:54 Speaker 1: No, there were some scenes that I watched and you would be like, you will never believe listen to why you just said. 00:13:01 Speaker 3: I'm like I would be losing my mind. 00:13:04 Speaker 1: Yeah, No, you're a bad bitch, Beauty zero seven eighty five. The best piece of advice you would give someone who is on the verge of divorce. 00:13:12 Speaker 2: Oh gosh, like to try not to get a divorce, or to. 00:13:17 Speaker 1: Like, when someone is on the verge of divorce, what piece of advice would you give that? 00:13:22 Speaker 3: Don't do it? Kick back and wait, like start getting your ducks in a row. 00:13:27 Speaker 2: You gotta do whatever feels right to you. Trust your gut. Women have intuition like crazy, and I think, like you know, whenever it's time, obviously try if it's nothing that's like like like abusive, right, you know, like try because you did make vows to each other. But once it comes to a certain point and you have to move on, just like, do what you gotta do for yourself, stay strong and take care of yourself first for once, because we always put the other person. Like I feel like I didn't take myself. I was always taking care of other people, you know, so that whenever I finally had that switch, I was like, oh gosh, I gotta get out of here. 00:14:08 Speaker 1: Well, it was wild for you because you were so back and forth and then just one day you were like, I'm doing it. 00:14:13 Speaker 3: Yep. 00:14:14 Speaker 1: There's nothing that anyone can say. There's not one night of sleep that I may wake up and say I'm changing my mind. 00:14:19 Speaker 3: You were like, I'm done. Yeah, So that was your gut. 00:14:22 Speaker 2: Yeah, trust your gut. 00:14:24 Speaker 1: The last thing I want to ask you is someone said that Cruise is a beautiful name. How did you pick that name for your son? Oh? 00:14:34 Speaker 2: Man, I was visiting my mom in Kentucky and we were sitting out on the farm and you know, obviously I was pregnant and we did not find a boy's name for a while. These are so so hard. 00:14:46 Speaker 3: Oh my god. 00:14:47 Speaker 2: Cruz's last name is Couchy, So I wanted it, Like that's a hard name to like match with, yes, you know what I mean. So I thought like something with the sea would sound good with it, which because you know it starts with the sea too. And I was like looking at baby list names, which I was constantly doing, and Crewe was on there, like c r e W and I was like, I like that, and then I was like, ooh, what about Cruise And it just kind of like came to me, I guess because I saw Crew first and I just like really liked to see r u Z. And then my mom had always loved the name Michael, and Michael is Jackson's middle name, his uncle's name, his cousin's middle name, like it runs in his side of the family. And my mom is literally always said that Michael was her favorite boy's name. So then I was just like, oh, Cruse, Michael Cruse Couchy, Like that sounds great together, and it was kind of like Michael couch It just kind of like clicked in like that one day and then I was like, I think this is his name. 00:15:40 Speaker 3: So did someone give the name up? Shortsy Schwartzy Shirtsy? Who's here? He be on the pod? 00:15:44 Speaker 2: Poor thing. He felt so bad because, you know, Jackson gave him such a hard time about Jackson's I was sad because it was my first baby, and of course we all wanted to like say the name whenever it happened, but he didn't. He it was so innocent, he didn't mean too He made us all moomoos because you know, that was his thing, and it said mommy daddy and then Cruising and he posted it on a story so people were like, oh, his name's Cruise. 00:16:09 Speaker 3: Obviously You're like, god, damn it. Oh. 00:16:11 Speaker 2: I was so upset. But then he like sent me flowers and no, he kept was so apologetic. And remember when it's deleting the name over and over, so like, yeah, some people knew it, but like everybody didn't. 00:16:21 Speaker 3: Know it, you know what I mean exactly? Not everyone saw it's a great name. 00:16:24 Speaker 1: Do you remember when my ex posted Stacy and Bo's wedding invitations. 00:16:29 Speaker 3: And like the password where it was. I was like you dumbas? Yes, are stupid person? 00:16:38 Speaker 1: Yeah, I have a this or that game before, let's do it all right, the valley. 00:16:42 Speaker 3: Brunch or a sur dinner. 00:16:44 Speaker 1: When it comes to filming, would you rather film a brunch on the valley or film a dinner. 00:16:49 Speaker 3: With the surcast? 00:16:50 Speaker 2: The valley brunch? 00:16:51 Speaker 3: Wow, I'm offended. 00:16:53 Speaker 2: Well they're all my good, Hey you come on the valley, so you're included in that. 00:16:59 Speaker 3: Film with exes or filming hungover? Which is worse? 00:17:03 Speaker 2: Oh gosh, probably gonna be filming with xes now even though filming Hungover is terrible. It is so bad, but like I can't imagine, like you'll see throughout the season, Like it's not easy filming with Jacks. 00:17:17 Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't wait to see the rest. 00:17:19 Speaker 1: Yeah. Would you rather have Jesse as a husband forever or Jack's is a best friend for a day? 00:17:26 Speaker 2: Jackson is the best friend for a day? 00:17:27 Speaker 3: Okay? Easy choice? 00:17:30 Speaker 1: Reality TV reunion or real life confrontation? 00:17:33 Speaker 3: Which would you pick? Oh? 00:17:34 Speaker 2: Lord, I hate I hate them both. I don't like confrontation. 00:17:39 Speaker 3: No, you hate it? Yeah? I hate it? Yeah, happy once you get going, it's like once I going. 00:17:44 Speaker 2: I will stick up for myself. But I hate it. I think a reunion maybe because everybody it's almost like a therapy session where you're able to get things out. 00:17:54 Speaker 3: Yeah you know what I mean? Yeah I do. 00:17:56 Speaker 2: And it still is real life too. 00:17:57 Speaker 1: It's real life, but you feel like you all know the drills exact, we all know why we're here. Kristen as a roommate or Janet as a neighbor. 00:18:07 Speaker 2: I mean, I would do either one of those if it came down to it, honestly, right, But I don't want a roommate. 00:18:12 Speaker 3: Okay, it doesn't matter who it is. 00:18:14 Speaker 2: I don't want to live with anybody anymore. 00:18:15 Speaker 3: You know, you don't want to live with your mom and your brother. 00:18:19 Speaker 2: You got your great thing going on. I just don't want to have a roommate, you know, get it. It doesn't matter who it is. 00:18:24 Speaker 3: You want that big old house yourself. 00:18:26 Speaker 1: Last one, would you rather have Andy Cohen as your wingman or Andy Cone as your therapist? 00:18:31 Speaker 2: Andy Cohen as my therapist? Probably? I was going to say the same thing because even at like different reunions I've done over the years, he always seems to kind of be our therapist. 00:18:42 Speaker 3: He's excellent. 00:18:43 Speaker 2: Yea, Yeah, he's great. 00:18:44 Speaker 3: A man hosts Kardashian reunion. 00:18:46 Speaker 2: Yeah, like you's good it as doll. 00:18:48 Speaker 1: I would much rather have him as a therapist than a wee man, because chances are the man is going to switch teams and end up sucking Andy. 00:18:57 Speaker 3: I don't like that exactly. 00:18:58 Speaker 2: How about compete with it? 00:19:00 Speaker 1: Thank you for staying for a Q and A for the bonus you guys, Thank you for listening to another bonus episode of the Give Them All a Pod. 00:19:07 Speaker 3: I will catch you guys next week.
