<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, it's not Tuesday, it's Friday. And I know <v Speaker 1>the audio was doubled up there. I hopefully didn't ruin <v Speaker 1>the audio too much. I'm still figuring stuff out after <v Speaker 1>I ruined everything on the Dumb Truck yesterday. I'm your host, <v Speaker 1>Jeff Grubb. This is the Giant BombCast Revengeance for the week. <v Speaker 1>We are gonna be talking about some video games here. <v Speaker 1>Thank you for listening. I am joined by an all <v Speaker 1>star cast including sewn Terbo Sean McDowell. How are you doing, Sean, <v Speaker 1>I'm excellent. <v Speaker 2>Jeff, I got my Baja blast to watch down this <v Speaker 2>excellent podcast with and for both Dan and Mike. Since <v Speaker 2>I got both of you on the show today, watch <v Speaker 2>y'all know that I drank. <v Speaker 3>Do Hell yeah, that's a fun, fancy fourteen Mountain Dew shirt. Dan, Look, <v Speaker 3>we can come together. This is going to the world crossover. <v Speaker 4>That's Mike Games dot Com. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, Fantasy fourteen today, Mountain Do collaboration. You can collect <v Speaker 3>coach from Mountain Do. I have a Mountain Dew themed <v Speaker 3>mount in the key that I can fly around. <v Speaker 2>So good. Because there's a creature in Final Fantasy called <v Speaker 2>the Zoo and you can get a Mondu color zoo <v Speaker 2>that's called the Mountain Zoo. It's so good. I love it. <v Speaker 5>My genuine kneed jerk reaction to that news in my <v Speaker 5>head was, Wow, that's actually really bold of Mountain Dew <v Speaker 5>to do a partnership with such a niche game. <v Speaker 3>Oh, Dan, this was supposed to bring us together and <v Speaker 3>you had to go so many millions. <v Speaker 2>And millions of players and no way. <v Speaker 5>Next Dan Riker from Giant Bomb, Dan, are you doing <v Speaker 5>I'm doing great. <v Speaker 6>How are you, Jeff Grebb? <v Speaker 1>I'm excellent. I'm happy to be here talking about uh <v Speaker 1>a video game. I guess in Final Fantasy fourteen. <v Speaker 4>I don't know. It kind of just looks like a <v Speaker 4>clicker to me. I can't tell. <v Speaker 6>It's like the Banana game. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, the Banana game. Final Fantasy four Team pretty much <v Speaker 4>the same thing. <v Speaker 6>I'll let you know. <v Speaker 2>I am a real gamer. I play Final Fantasy four <v Speaker 2>Team with a controller. <v Speaker 4>Okay, well that changes things a little bit. <v Speaker 6>Is it on commerce? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's Oh yeah, it's on Xbox two as well, <v Speaker 2>but it's been on PlayStation since almost the beginning of <v Speaker 2>the rebooth. <v Speaker 6>It was on PlayStation three. <v Speaker 5>Dan, how do you do a game with all the <v Speaker 5>crazy menu stuff like that on a contolt. <v Speaker 2>Oh it's really it's really well thought out. You just <v Speaker 2>like hold, I just realized. <v Speaker 6>I don't care. Let's go, let's move on. <v Speaker 1>Ah, We're gonna talk about Marvel Rivals a handful of <v Speaker 1>other things, and then we're gonna do a mount rushmore <v Speaker 1>of Mario Party mini games. <v Speaker 4>And Dan sent me like twenty five links to open, <v Speaker 4>and I got them all here ready for everybody. <v Speaker 5>I'm gonna see if I can paste it in the <v Speaker 5>Chase bookmark folders so I can copy them. <v Speaker 2>All That went to actually very useful. Thank you for this. <v Speaker 6>Ye you can see images of it. <v Speaker 7>It's very very Yeah, it's handy. <v Speaker 8>Uh. <v Speaker 4>But before we do that, we are going to talk about. <v Speaker 1>A handful of games, and you know, let's see if <v Speaker 1>I can just here we go there you go all right? <v Speaker 7>Oh wow, this is the music they play when we <v Speaker 7>talk about games. <v Speaker 4>Let's talk about a video game. Yesterday was it? Yeah? <v Speaker 1>Yesterday we played Marvel Rivals, and by we I mean myself, <v Speaker 1>Mike Minatti and Turbo Sean, and I mostly enjoyed myself. <v Speaker 1>A big part of it is I don't have high <v Speaker 1>expectations for that game. I also don't really care if <v Speaker 1>it does well, So I'm just kind of going in like, hey, <v Speaker 1>entertain me. And it succeeded at that, and I'm I <v Speaker 1>think it goes a little bit beyond that, Like it <v Speaker 1>more than just succeeds at that. <v Speaker 4>It's I think it's a pretty decent game. A big <v Speaker 4>part of that is it's really really just Overwatch, right. <v Speaker 7>It is Overwatch. It's as shameless as it gets. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's like Overwatch phloss. You know. They did add <v Speaker 2>some stuff on top of it, but is like Overwatch. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're not just like yeah, go ahead. <v Speaker 7>Not just a gameplay, but like the UI very similar, <v Speaker 7>like the sound as I or some of the. <v Speaker 3>Art style very similar, you know, like a lot of <v Speaker 3>same moves and stuff. And sometimes that's like, oh there's <v Speaker 3>a character of a shotgun that's like and that's a <v Speaker 3>little like yeah. But then like the version of star <v Speaker 3>Lord very much like Tracer, right, you have like the <v Speaker 3>two dual pistols you kind of run around. It's sead <v Speaker 3>of like the zipping he kind of does like a jump, <v Speaker 3>but it's effectively very similar. <v Speaker 1>Right, Yeah, And you know what they do is is <v Speaker 1>they take Overwatch characters and they push them together into one, <v Speaker 1>which is what I mean, Like, yeah, he's like Tracer, <v Speaker 1>but he also does have reapers like shoot in every <v Speaker 1>direction sort of thing. <v Speaker 7>Yeah, Reapers Ultimate exactly. <v Speaker 3>Then like Punisher is a big example of that because <v Speaker 3>like he has a shotgun kind of Greeper, then he <v Speaker 3>has like an assault rifle kind of like Soldier, and <v Speaker 3>then he can have a turret form kind of like <v Speaker 3>best Right now, part of it it's like, Okay, how <v Speaker 3>many abilities will there really be and kinds of guns <v Speaker 3>can there really be in a game with this? Even <v Speaker 3>Overwatch is kind of starting to I don't want to <v Speaker 3>say recycle, but you know, like the new Healer and <v Speaker 3>Overwatch shoots people to heal them kind of like on <v Speaker 3>And of course there's like some differences there, but yeah, <v Speaker 3>there's only there's only so many things we can do <v Speaker 3>it a while, so. <v Speaker 2>Many ways you can fire a gun. Yeah, But what's <v Speaker 2>doing it for me is the fact that something that <v Speaker 2>I think both the casual audience is really gonna love <v Speaker 2>and is really good for competitive play is the team <v Speaker 2>up attacks, which everyone just loves team up attacks in <v Speaker 2>any game, you know, like fighting games and anything like <v Speaker 2>that you love seeing two characters like get together. It's <v Speaker 2>like I think about a Dragon Ball Fighters where you <v Speaker 2>get like Gohan and doing the like family kamehameha, like <v Speaker 2>that stuff is sick and so in here, when you <v Speaker 2>pair up say Rocket Raccoon and Groot or all of <v Speaker 2>the Spider people like Spidery, Venom and Penny Parker, they <v Speaker 2>will do something new and unique, whether it be having <v Speaker 2>a stronger ability or just a passive. I think most <v Speaker 2>of them are passives that they can give to each other. Like, <v Speaker 2>for example, I was playing Rocket, Mike was playing Punisher, <v Speaker 2>since they're both gun guys, like they have something going <v Speaker 2>on there. So I could like give Mike at buff <v Speaker 2>for where temporarily he would have unlimited AMMO and shoot faster. <v Speaker 2>That was just something I'd give because we built our <v Speaker 2>team around that. And what's very smart about it is <v Speaker 2>that also on the competitive side of things, encourages people <v Speaker 2>do have a well built team because all those team <v Speaker 2>ups are pairing like a tank and a healer, or <v Speaker 2>like an offensive person a defensive person. Yeah, it's encouraging. <v Speaker 2>It's encouraging you to not just pick your favorites. <v Speaker 1>Or like they're very specific circumstantial abilities, like when you <v Speaker 1>team up Black Panther and Magic. When you have those <v Speaker 1>two on your team at the same time, you just <v Speaker 1>get a long distance teleport that you can use whenever <v Speaker 1>you want. <v Speaker 4>You could just like. <v Speaker 1>Aim your hit the sea button on the keyboard, aim <v Speaker 1>the teleporter, and you can go get behind enemy lines <v Speaker 1>basically and attack them from behind. And that's going to <v Speaker 1>be useful when you need to do that. You don't <v Speaker 1>always need to have your characters behind enemy lines sometimes, <v Speaker 1>in fact that sometimes it's a bad idea. So you're <v Speaker 1>going to use that sparingly now. I was using it <v Speaker 1>a lot because I'm trying to figure out the game still, <v Speaker 1>but you can see from a strategic point. <v Speaker 4>Of view, you just kind of want to hold back. Now. <v Speaker 1>Part of me is like, it's weird that I have <v Speaker 1>this ability that feels kind of basic that I could <v Speaker 1>just like teleport a little bit further and I could <v Speaker 1>only use it if someone else is playing that character, <v Speaker 1>and then and then there is no like build up <v Speaker 1>to it. It is there is no like, okay, as <v Speaker 1>long as we work together or for close it's like no, <v Speaker 1>as long as there's these two people are on the team, <v Speaker 1>it works. So part of it feels a little bit <v Speaker 1>like underwhelming or not super well thought out or not <v Speaker 1>like synergistic in a lot of ways. And yet I'm like, whatever, <v Speaker 1>it was really cool to watch you as Rocky and <v Speaker 1>Raccoon jump on Groot's shoulders and run. <v Speaker 3>Around, right, And I do wonder if it's ever going <v Speaker 3>to be a problem where, you know, people who want <v Speaker 3>to play the competitive mode or tickets slightly more seriously, <v Speaker 3>are ever going to be like, you can't play a <v Speaker 3>character who doesn't have one of these semup attacks. They <v Speaker 3>are not necessarily a lot of those, right, Like most <v Speaker 3>characters might work with one other person or maybe two. <v Speaker 7>I don't know. <v Speaker 3>I don't know if there's any that don't have any <v Speaker 3>of them, but yeah, so maybe that's the thing. But <v Speaker 3>I really was having fun. I like Overwatch a lot, <v Speaker 3>and it's kind of just fun to play new Overwatch, right. <v Speaker 4>That's kind of what it feels like. <v Speaker 7>Yeah, you know, I've complained about Overwatch two and all <v Speaker 7>these things. <v Speaker 3>Part of that is just I played Overwatch a lot, right, <v Speaker 3>and you know, they do things like they can add <v Speaker 3>new maps, new characters, new modes, but it's still Overwatch, <v Speaker 3>and it's kind of a game that I maybe has <v Speaker 3>just run out of juice a little bit with so <v Speaker 3>just playing something that is here's completely new heroes, you know, <v Speaker 3>here's completely new maps, and of course a lot of <v Speaker 3>it is derivative and familiar, but still ultimately new and <v Speaker 3>still not figured out. And everybody is kind of in <v Speaker 3>that same boat again of playing something that's new. We <v Speaker 3>don't all immediately know who the best characters are, who <v Speaker 3>the worst characters are, and. <v Speaker 7>Things like that. So kind of fun being part of <v Speaker 7>that figuring out phase again. <v Speaker 1>Right, So, and then that's just where we're at with <v Speaker 1>this game, where it is one of these games that <v Speaker 1>we there's a chance we play it once, we never <v Speaker 1>play it again. And how useful is it for us <v Speaker 1>to come in here and tell you, oh, I had <v Speaker 1>fun for this one weekend? Is that what most people <v Speaker 1>are looking for for something, especially for a free to <v Speaker 1>play game you can go try yourself once it's available. <v Speaker 1>Right now, I think you still have to get your <v Speaker 1>hands on a code, which is not super easy, it's <v Speaker 1>not possible, but you get to be watching people on Twitch. <v Speaker 4>For a drop or whatever. <v Speaker 2>But like I think you're also coming specifically you, Jeff, <v Speaker 2>But because like Mike plays a decent amount of multiplayer games, <v Speaker 2>but I think you specifically don't play as my multiplayer <v Speaker 2>like online games much Anymoreah exactly. So I'm looking at <v Speaker 2>from the perspective of someone who does, you know, at <v Speaker 2>least once a week get together with my friends and <v Speaker 2>we spend a few hours playing some game. For me, <v Speaker 2>it is very easy for me to go and my <v Speaker 2>friends and say, because we've been talking about, like, man, <v Speaker 2>we miss Overwatch. Those were the good old days. We <v Speaker 2>were still like some of us we're still like in <v Speaker 2>college and everything, so we're sort of doing like the <v Speaker 2>late night stuff and kind of like, you know, just <v Speaker 2>hanging out and you know, it was fun times. We <v Speaker 2>kind of want to go back to that, and then <v Speaker 2>we're like, yeah, but Overwatch sucks now. So if I <v Speaker 2>can go to them and say, guys, this is the <v Speaker 2>good Overwatch, like, I can just instantly get them in, <v Speaker 2>get them playing, and we had a Yeah, we had <v Speaker 2>a blast. I think that's the audience they were going for, <v Speaker 2>and I think they are going to succeed there. How <v Speaker 2>much it does be on that, we'll see. I think <v Speaker 2>just having the Marvel license is going to go a <v Speaker 2>long way, especially when you do have just a very <v Speaker 2>aesthetically pleasing game. People are I think some people don't <v Speaker 2>like the artist style because it is like cell shaded, <v Speaker 2>cartoony kind of stuff. But I mean to any anytime <v Speaker 2>someone makes an argument like that, I'm just going to say, <v Speaker 2>you know what, the biggest game in the world is <v Speaker 2>not not exactly pushing boundaries in terms of like you know, <v Speaker 2>texture equality and stuff over there. <v Speaker 1>Right, So it's very clear that this game was made <v Speaker 1>to run eventually on phones in low powered hardware and <v Speaker 1>you know whatever, low powered laptops that kids have, like <v Speaker 1>those are the kinds of things that these games need <v Speaker 1>to run on. And I've always been fine with that. <v Speaker 2>And I think it looks exactly. <v Speaker 1>I think it looks really good an action. It's very readable. <v Speaker 1>A huge part of that, of course, again is everything <v Speaker 1>reads like Overwatch, so I know what everything is doing, <v Speaker 1>which is actually, you know, honestly a knock against Concord <v Speaker 1>where we were talking about that where it was like, hey, <v Speaker 1>this isn't as readable some of these things. This this <v Speaker 1>vacuum thing working. <v Speaker 2>For this robot thing. <v Speaker 7>Oh my god. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, the next one example. I felt that way about <v Speaker 1>a lot of things. Obviously, it's like, oh, there's something <v Speaker 1>on the ground that's read I know to shoot that. <v Speaker 1>I get that. But in this game, I immediately sort <v Speaker 1>of understood everything that was happening. And that is another <v Speaker 1>one of those things that removes that barrier of entry <v Speaker 1>that you're talking. <v Speaker 2>About, right, because with any online game you will need <v Speaker 2>to learn how it plays, of course, but even all <v Speaker 2>the little things, and like I was being a little <v Speaker 2>snarky about when we were playing, I know, but like <v Speaker 2>the fact that I could just like pull up my <v Speaker 2>hero's abilities at any time, and that you know, when <v Speaker 2>I did something like you said, the readability, I just <v Speaker 2>visually understood what was happening at all times. I had <v Speaker 2>to think about what the character was setting up for anything. <v Speaker 2>It's just very clear, Okay, this move leads into this move, <v Speaker 2>or this person says something on the ground. Oh, it <v Speaker 2>looks like something that's helpful because it has like sort <v Speaker 2>of a you know, friendly ara about it. On my <v Speaker 2>side of things, like you know that song that's going <v Speaker 2>to help me. All of all of these things just <v Speaker 2>work together to make it just a better gameplay experience <v Speaker 2>for me than the other herero shooter that's gonna try <v Speaker 2>to be vying for people's attentions. <v Speaker 4>Yep. <v Speaker 1>I will probably want to check in on it again <v Speaker 1>when it actually fully comes out. This is just a beta, <v Speaker 1>but I get the sense that they might sort of <v Speaker 1>roll this into a release, although I don't think they've <v Speaker 1>really revealed those details one way or the other, and it. <v Speaker 7>Don't seem far off. <v Speaker 3>There's like already a ton of characters, like clearly enough <v Speaker 3>characters for a launch roster, and things seem to be <v Speaker 3>working again. <v Speaker 7>I don't know. <v Speaker 3>I haven't gone to like the Marvel Rivals discord. I'm <v Speaker 3>sure people are maybe complaining about so and so character <v Speaker 3>being true. <v Speaker 7>There's just always hard to there's. <v Speaker 4>Like Wolverine, there's not a lot of the other like <v Speaker 4>really well yeah, but. <v Speaker 3>They're clearly holding things in their pocket, right, yeah, that's <v Speaker 3>exactly what they're doing, right, Like there's no Deadpool, which, <v Speaker 3>like you know that'll be a big drop obviously, things <v Speaker 3>like that. But you know, like when I was playing, <v Speaker 3>like some characters just immediately made sense to me, like <v Speaker 3>a punisher because they shoot people, Okay, not a did <v Speaker 3>Spider Man inspire me? Like can't swing and grab on <v Speaker 3>the walls and that's kind of a melee combo and <v Speaker 3>I was just getting destroyed. It's kind of like you <v Speaker 3>my insincts always well, this is a bad character, but <v Speaker 3>it could just as well be ah, maybe there's there's this, <v Speaker 3>it's just complicated. I remember the first Overwatch character I <v Speaker 3>ever played when I started that game was Genji and <v Speaker 3>was just like shooting shirty cans, going well, this is <v Speaker 3>a shooter game, right, so just throwing the shirt cans out. <v Speaker 7>I'm like, well, he's still do very much damage. This <v Speaker 7>is a bad character. <v Speaker 3>Then that character was you know, turned out to be <v Speaker 3>completely broken actually, because what you're supposed to do is <v Speaker 3>it's complicated. <v Speaker 7>That kills a lot of people. <v Speaker 3>And on the flip side, everybody was like fashion is <v Speaker 3>overpowered because he put out a lot of damage, but <v Speaker 3>he had to become a stationary turret. So once people <v Speaker 3>figure it out, oh, just be like a Farah or <v Speaker 3>anybody or a Hanso and you can just kill him <v Speaker 3>immediately because he can't move, And it's like, oh, that's <v Speaker 3>actually the weakest character in the game and has since <v Speaker 3>been completely reworks because he was so weak. <v Speaker 7>So it takes time to figure these things. <v Speaker 4>It takes exactly, yes. <v Speaker 2>He'll take us time and just the game feel or <v Speaker 2>what you're getting at there. I think having wacky abilities <v Speaker 2>is what makes these games so unique. And I love <v Speaker 2>the arcadi feel. That's because you know, yeah, turbo showing. <v Speaker 2>I'm all about the arcady feel in games, and that's <v Speaker 2>what Overwatch did a lot for me. Is like it's <v Speaker 2>not just especially an Arrow where we have people vying <v Speaker 2>for the the extraction shooter and stuff like that, where <v Speaker 2>it's like ultra gritty realism and everything like that. I'm like, nah, dude, <v Speaker 2>I want to be a ninja scial and walls and <v Speaker 2>like I want to be this little raccoon scurrying around <v Speaker 2>like shooting rockets at people and like his little healing <v Speaker 2>orbs and stuff. I want to be Spider Man swinging <v Speaker 2>through his guys. This just just fun. It's just cool. <v Speaker 1>Yep, It's it's just a it's just a kind of <v Speaker 1>a good time, is what I ended up happening with it. So, yep, Mike, <v Speaker 1>you finished Final Fantasy six. You got any final thoughts <v Speaker 1>on that you want to wrap up. <v Speaker 4>After this latest play through? Fantasy Final Fantasy Final Fantasy Thoughts? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, you know, so, I haven't beaten that game <v Speaker 3>since I played through the Game Boy Advance version. <v Speaker 7>I played through the other five Pixel remasters. They kind <v Speaker 7>of like had to wait a bit to get the six, <v Speaker 7>but it was really excited, and boy, that was just <v Speaker 7>an amazing playthrough. It is just one of the best <v Speaker 7>games ever, one of the best RPGs ever, and the <v Speaker 7>whole kind of like last few hours of that game <v Speaker 7>are so incredible. The last dungeon is cool. That Kefka <v Speaker 7>fight is amazing. If if you haven't even play Found <v Speaker 7>Fantasy Stix, just look at that fight. The weird kind <v Speaker 7>of like distorted creepy tower, you go up the track <v Speaker 7>dancing mad that plays. It's just an all timer bossname. <v Speaker 7>It's better than one when you get Angel. Even I <v Speaker 7>think the true ones know this. <v Speaker 3>It's also like one of the first games I can <v Speaker 3>remember chronologically that just went and we're gonna have like <v Speaker 3>a thirty minute ending. <v Speaker 6>Actually we're gonna really let this breathe. <v Speaker 3>The ending sequence is so cool because one of the <v Speaker 3>things about that game is that there are a ton <v Speaker 3>of characters ers, a ton of party members, and the <v Speaker 3>kind of like ending credit thing gives each one of <v Speaker 3>them a moment where they kind of get a title card. <v Speaker 3>They have a little vignette that it's like this end <v Speaker 3>credit section plays their character theme and it's credible, and <v Speaker 3>some of them kind of play together because the characters <v Speaker 3>are interconnected in a special way. <v Speaker 6>It just hits like crazy. <v Speaker 7>It's just one of those things where I beat that game. <v Speaker 3>It's a game I beat before, and I was just <v Speaker 3>kind of laying there, like I don't want to do <v Speaker 3>anything but just kind of sit here and think about <v Speaker 3>how much I like Final Fantasy six for a while <v Speaker 3>again as a game I know I love, and I'm like, man, <v Speaker 3>I think I like that game even more than I thought. <v Speaker 3>I really enjoyed that play through. I think the pixely <v Speaker 3>Master version is fantastic and probably definitely my preferred way <v Speaker 3>to play it now. <v Speaker 1>And then, before we move on to the second segment, <v Speaker 1>any thoughts about the second week of Nintendo World Championship <v Speaker 1>from you guys, specifically the World Championship Mode. I have <v Speaker 1>been kind of spending a little bit more time with it. <v Speaker 1>I do have a world record in the Metroid Morphball Grab, <v Speaker 1>which I think you guys have the loser time of <v Speaker 1>three point sixty. <v Speaker 5>Five, right, So that's hard to say. There's no way <v Speaker 5>ack it so that's the world record. <v Speaker 1>Six three point three point sixty three. YESU grub three <v Speaker 1>six three. Yes, there it is. <v Speaker 6>It is a good ship. It's funny. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, yes, I don't like having to play two minutes <v Speaker 5>of Kidicrous. I've only known it like two times, and <v Speaker 5>it's like, that's right, every second of it. And the <v Speaker 5>thing is, since it's not a cumulative score, I am <v Speaker 5>trying to get into the mindset of like, Okay, I <v Speaker 5>don't need to obsess over all five of them every week. <v Speaker 5>I'm just gonna pick the ones I enjoy, which are <v Speaker 5>normally all of them. But then like kidd Rises, especially <v Speaker 5>a long credicrous one, I don't want to fuck with, <v Speaker 5>so I'm spending time with the other four mainly. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, it's fun. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think it's it's I'm not like going crazy <v Speaker 1>like it did in the first week, but I'm still <v Speaker 1>there are times where it's like twenty minutes NonStop. <v Speaker 4>I've just played that little two. <v Speaker 1>Minute segment, two second segment hundreds of times in that time. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, like there's still that happening, and I'm still <v Speaker 1>enjoying it, but it's a little bit more reasonable now. <v Speaker 5>I want to try to get s rank on everything <v Speaker 5>in the main you know, like that out to be <v Speaker 5>all as exactly. <v Speaker 1>So I'm like, I did get the world record time <v Speaker 1>on that once, so I'm like, Okay, I can relax. <v Speaker 1>And then I started doing some other stuff, like what <v Speaker 1>am I doing? I was having fun getting the s <v Speaker 1>rink on everything. Although s rank on that final kittick <v Speaker 1>Chris one fucking sucks because you gotta what is it <v Speaker 1>you gotta You have to go through a level and <v Speaker 1>defeat a boss, and so you gotta be first. You <v Speaker 1>have to remember the path. This won't be a problem <v Speaker 1>for you, Mike Dan, It's gonna be a. <v Speaker 4>Problem for us. I hate it every time. Uh So <v Speaker 4>I'm like, I'm like, I think I go here. <v Speaker 1>It's like, oh, I'll go there, so I'll hopefully I <v Speaker 1>get it down enough so I'll just remember it. But <v Speaker 1>then you have to like go kind of fast avoid damage, <v Speaker 1>and then you gotta not have enough life to be <v Speaker 1>able to survive the boss. <v Speaker 4>The boss pretty easy. <v Speaker 1>Uh but you just gotta have enough life so you <v Speaker 1>could take like maybe one or two hits. And I <v Speaker 1>am always like right there about to die, and it's <v Speaker 1>it's a pain in the ass because it's so very long. <v Speaker 5>But you know, it's funny how social bubbles work, because like, <v Speaker 5>you know, based on talking to you guys and be <v Speaker 5>on Giant Bomb talking about any Asperral championship. As soon <v Speaker 5>as it got announced, this was like a thing. It's <v Speaker 5>like mark circle your calendar. This is one of the <v Speaker 5>big ones of the year, says it. And even when <v Speaker 5>it was like disappointing with the leader board stuff, we're <v Speaker 5>still playing this ship out of it and talking about it, <v Speaker 5>multiple streams about it, all this stuff, and so like <v Speaker 5>in my mind it's like that's one of the big <v Speaker 5>games right now and of the year as well. And <v Speaker 5>we recorded fire Escape a few nights ago, and like <v Speaker 5>Mike and Mary are like, okay, what is this? <v Speaker 6>What is the Oh you gotta be an old sicko <v Speaker 6>to be real. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, And uh, what's disgusting is we probably are <v Speaker 3>like the three people evangelizing the game the most. <v Speaker 7>We're in fucking Nintendo jail, Jesus. <v Speaker 6>An abusive relationship. <v Speaker 2>We need. <v Speaker 7>You know. <v Speaker 4>They're great. <v Speaker 2>They're great. No, they're really good. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, you're not getting out. That's not how it's gonna work. <v Speaker 3>It is funny how like this week I pretty much like, <v Speaker 3>you know, what I really like doing is that Metroit <v Speaker 3>thing over and over again, Like yeah, especially because I <v Speaker 3>know there's not a cumultive score. <v Speaker 7>I am just like, I'm not really gonna worry about <v Speaker 7>that kiddick or this one too much. <v Speaker 3>But you know, like, especially since I beat Fan Fantasy <v Speaker 3>six even I again, I was kind of wired. I <v Speaker 3>couldn't go to sleep because I was so I was <v Speaker 3>buzzying because I love that game so much. It's okay, <v Speaker 3>I got to play some Nintendor World Championship. <v Speaker 7>And I did. Like actually, instead of worrying about the <v Speaker 7>weekly challenges, I think I am going to just go <v Speaker 7>through and try to get more of these S ranks. <v Speaker 3>And that's maybe something I'm going to do more this <v Speaker 3>week at least, and then next week we'll see what <v Speaker 3>the challenges are. Yeah, I think overall, I didn't quite <v Speaker 3>love this week's roster of challenges as much as last week. <v Speaker 7>But that's fine. They last a week. We'll see what <v Speaker 7>we get next time. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, not the best. <v Speaker 2>I'll probably have more to say on Tuesday about it. <v Speaker 6>Though. I started playing a Ranger on Switch. <v Speaker 2>It's good. I don't know, because I've heard that the <v Speaker 2>one the sliding range. <v Speaker 1>Like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, people like that one a lot, right, Yeah. <v Speaker 5>It's very very clever. It's yeah, it's it's a thing. Yeah, Okay, <v Speaker 5>I think we'll talk about it Tuesday. But I just <v Speaker 5>played like a half hour last night. <v Speaker 4>It's like, this is good, okay, cool, yeah, excellent. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, there's a there's a handful of things that either <v Speaker 1>I can't talk about yet or just started. <v Speaker 5>So there's Wednesday that Yestian Barger lives next week that <v Speaker 5>it is okay, fantastic. We talked about on fire Escape <v Speaker 5>and I I went to Rave about that. <v Speaker 6>Yes, I mean, who's to say embargoes on? So I <v Speaker 6>don't know. <v Speaker 3>Again, yes, Missy something, I'll be allowed to talk about <v Speaker 3>Star Wars Outlaws. <v Speaker 2>We'll see. Yeah, this game looks cute a arranger. So <v Speaker 2>has the wonder Boy remake going? <v Speaker 4>Totally cool? <v Speaker 7>I like that, love the way that game looks. That's <v Speaker 7>a good remake. The remake all right, let's uh. <v Speaker 5>Someone in twist chat says, did someone say Mount Rushmore <v Speaker 5>of Maria Party Mini Games and their name is Hexagon Heat. <v Speaker 6>Let's good. <v Speaker 4>Maybe maybe you're gonna be like. <v Speaker 2>Demographic you for you coming up? Hexagon Heat prank to me. <v Speaker 5>You're like, hey, let's talk about Maria party, and then <v Speaker 5>you're talking about Marvel and Final Fantasy. <v Speaker 6>We got his ass, Everybody coming out each other show. <v Speaker 7>If there was a Final Fantasy game Dance should play, <v Speaker 7>it would be Final Fantasy six. <v Speaker 2>It's zz several times. <v Speaker 5>It's a lot of slow scrolling in text at the beginning, <v Speaker 5>and I drop off every time. <v Speaker 4>Man, it just but it's beginning with the mechs like <v Speaker 4>it's one of the coolest things. I say. <v Speaker 5>Movie is like, I'm already, well, that's an outlier. <v Speaker 6>That's a new thing, that's a new that's new. <v Speaker 5>I'm talking about throughout my life, not new current, open <v Speaker 5>minded mech liking Dan. I'm talking about hysterically. I'm saying, <v Speaker 5>all right, everyone says this Final Fantasy six is good. <v Speaker 5>I'm gonna put this j RPG, and I'm already thinking <v Speaker 5>it's gonna be bad. Oh and there's mechs and there's talking, <v Speaker 5>and it's so little. I don't know if I've ever <v Speaker 5>moved a character in that game. I've tried to start <v Speaker 5>it twenty times, always turned it off a movie character. <v Speaker 3>In terms of like JRPG pacing, this is like the <v Speaker 3>Michael Bay movie of j RPG pacing. <v Speaker 2>It's very No, that's that's like Mario RPG. <v Speaker 6>Like, okay, well yeah, Mario, it's marian. <v Speaker 2>I'm curious outside, I'll like say, Mario RPG Mario Luig <v Speaker 2>type situation. Are there any like j RPGs they've been <v Speaker 2>into in the past, Dan, Like, I take you for <v Speaker 2>maybe like a Crono Trigger. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, I will say. <v Speaker 5>Back in the day, I did not give it a shot. <v Speaker 5>But once I started reviewing games, and that was during <v Speaker 5>like the DS era, they did the D like Chrono <v Speaker 5>Trigger DS. It had a lot of quality life improvements. <v Speaker 5>And that's when I played like Final Fantasy four. I <v Speaker 5>remember liking that. And here's the thing, I never beat <v Speaker 5>these games. I the only Final Fantasy I've ever beat <v Speaker 5>was X, and I do like that game, but I <v Speaker 5>always played what's that you said? <v Speaker 4>Please don't call it that. <v Speaker 5>No Final Fantasy X, Yeah, the first, not X two. Yeah, <v Speaker 5>but no, I think cron Trigger. Yeah, it's just turn <v Speaker 5>based battles. Like the reason I liked X was because <v Speaker 5>I had that like active system on the side where <v Speaker 5>you kind of see like I felt like there was <v Speaker 5>more strategy and not just picking for Menus, you know, <v Speaker 5>and then twelve I was curious about because that was <v Speaker 5>doing something different with the battle and everything. Yeah, but <v Speaker 5>ultimately it's still it's like so many goddamn cussings that nonsense. <v Speaker 6>I can't do it. <v Speaker 2>Oh well, I don't agree with that. I was gonna say, <v Speaker 2>I understand where you're coming from, because infamously, despite being <v Speaker 2>a huge Pokemon fan, I'm not traditionally super into turn <v Speaker 2>based RPGs. Like something about the characters needs to do <v Speaker 2>it for me. That's why I like, I'm into Persona <v Speaker 2>and Pokemon that kind of stuff. It just really strong <v Speaker 2>characters will bring me in. But yeah, if it's like <v Speaker 2>like Classic Final Fantasy, I've gone back for like you know, <v Speaker 2>educational purposes, but they usually don't stick with me as much. <v Speaker 2>So I get where you're coming from. <v Speaker 5>And it's as you mentioned characters. So like you know, <v Speaker 5>Paper Mario and the Mario Luigi series, I've played all those. <v Speaker 5>I love those games, and well, I mean obviously Paper <v Speaker 5>Mario problems aside and everything, but like I like the <v Speaker 5>fact that in the Mario Luigi series there was active <v Speaker 5>stuff during the battles that kept me interesting, right, It's <v Speaker 5>why I like infinite wealth. It's why I like, you know, <v Speaker 5>like a dragon. It's because, like, oh, I feel like <v Speaker 5>I'm playing a video game while combat's going on. You know, <v Speaker 5>like I just if I'm just picking from a menu, <v Speaker 5>I'm out, just give me some even if it's just <v Speaker 5>timing a button. When Mario jumps on something, you know, <v Speaker 5>like then I feel like I'm playing a video game <v Speaker 5>men usual. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I feel both ways. <v Speaker 1>I Mean, I'm like, I'm glad the menu systems are <v Speaker 1>still there and just the menu, but I also engage <v Speaker 1>more when there's something to do. <v Speaker 2>There's definitely a place for both, and so I'm glad <v Speaker 2>both still exist. And like the text based ones or sorry, <v Speaker 2>the turn based ones tend to be more than the <v Speaker 2>indie space nowadays, but glad that they're still carrying that torch. <v Speaker 7>You know, we have a metaphor Fantasia coming out. It <v Speaker 7>will be a very big boy one. I'm very excited. <v Speaker 2>John. <v Speaker 3>It's funny because I have a friend who's like who <v Speaker 3>only plays like a few games really and like they're <v Speaker 3>big Pokemon fans. Still they drive me crazy because I'll <v Speaker 3>be like, well, you should play a found Fantasy. It's like, ah, <v Speaker 3>just don't like turn based combat, and I'm just like, <v Speaker 3>all you do is play pokey. <v Speaker 6>That's different. <v Speaker 2>Is kind of different, especially if you play like competitive level, <v Speaker 2>because they is more about the planning. It's about it's <v Speaker 2>about the strategy because like the battles will go like <v Speaker 2>by like that. It's like when you're actually in battle, <v Speaker 2>there's not as much to it. It's more about planning <v Speaker 2>your team that people really like about Pokemon. It's not <v Speaker 2>as much about because at the end of the day <v Speaker 2>with Pokemon you're kind of just mashed in a once <v Speaker 2>you have what. <v Speaker 7>Wait, dan, cha's a good play? <v Speaker 3>What is the difference between like the turn based combat <v Speaker 3>and something like x colm, because that's still because Okay. <v Speaker 6>Here's the thing. I like chess. <v Speaker 5>I think chess is great as a kid, I put, <v Speaker 5>I know, but I think it's so much more engaging <v Speaker 5>when you have all these different pieces playing off each other. <v Speaker 5>It just feels more like like when I play I <v Speaker 5>love tactics, Like Tactics Advanced specifically is my favorite thing <v Speaker 5>with finals in the title ever, because I just feel <v Speaker 5>like the jar system and the chess like you know, <v Speaker 5>just kind of like the positioning on. <v Speaker 4>The board and like that it's awesome. <v Speaker 5>I feel like I'm doing more and there's more strategy <v Speaker 5>to it. For so like, yeah, I like x com. <v Speaker 5>I like Fire Emblem. I like Advanced Wars like you <v Speaker 5>give me a grid. Now we're talking. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, you're moving, You're moving through a space, and it matters. <v Speaker 4>That is a whole. <v Speaker 1>It is a completely different thing than turn based menu <v Speaker 1>selection like both. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's why I'll play. I'll play Fire Emblem or <v Speaker 2>Advanced Wars over say like Dragon Quest any day. You know. <v Speaker 6>I also like that. <v Speaker 5>Mitch said, please don't call Final Fantasy X because he <v Speaker 5>just cemented I will never say Final Fantasy said better <v Speaker 5>than this match. <v Speaker 3>That's all right at this point, it's okay, valuable skills <v Speaker 3>for shoots for shoot. Just don't call Mega Man X <v Speaker 3>Mega Man ten will be why would. <v Speaker 2>You bring that into this world? Mike wasn't. <v Speaker 6>No, No, I don't want to ask you. <v Speaker 5>I don't want to sound ignorant about Mega Man because <v Speaker 5>Mega Man is cool, So I will call Mega Man <v Speaker 5>X Mega Man X. There was a game called Mega <v Speaker 5>Man ten, but that was the more retro in the style. Look, <v Speaker 5>I'm educated about cool games, so remember. <v Speaker 6>The remember Sheep Man and Mega Man ten. <v Speaker 4>Underrated. <v Speaker 3>It was an electric yeah, electric sheet. There's also just <v Speaker 3>a baseball man called Strike many ten is great. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, recognize this better, Just a little bit is better. <v Speaker 3>But I appreciate the struggle league that Mega Man ten <v Speaker 3>does come up with ideas. <v Speaker 6>Yes, it was like the Mega Man six. Then you <v Speaker 6>gotta see the reaching and I enjoyed the reaching Charge man. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, yeah. <v Speaker 1>Alright, let's we're gonna take a quick break. When we <v Speaker 1>come back, it's time for the mount rushmore Mario Party minigames. <v Speaker 6>Is everybodyo games. <v Speaker 4>Here we go there, it is all right, we'll back <v Speaker 4>right after this. <v Speaker 1>All right, we're back, and what we're gonna do here <v Speaker 1>is we're gonna decide the four most iconic, emblematic Mario <v Speaker 1>Party mini games, the mini games that make the Mario Party. <v Speaker 2>Uh. <v Speaker 1>I guess Dan, do you want to start us off <v Speaker 1>with like what you're thinking? <v Speaker 4>Because I brought this up. You're like, hell, yeah, I'll <v Speaker 4>do that. <v Speaker 5>I'm like, all right, I thought you lack like thirty <v Speaker 5>minutes ago, and it was like, yes, twenty links I have. <v Speaker 5>I have a lot of links which we should put <v Speaker 5>on screen because here Eve and I don't know everyone <v Speaker 5>by name, but you just see an image of it. <v Speaker 6>It's like, oh, right, that one, I'll say. <v Speaker 5>Before I look at all these images and we go <v Speaker 5>kind of go through the list, the first one that <v Speaker 5>came to mind to me was Bumper Balls and also Hot. <v Speaker 5>So if you want to start making a short list, <v Speaker 5>I have. <v Speaker 4>A short list. I'll be doing that as well. We'll <v Speaker 4>be going back and forth. <v Speaker 7>Bumper Falls is like the George Washington of Mario Party. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, this is like I feel like it's almost gonna <v Speaker 2>be like, what's the one we do when we're playing <v Speaker 2>Martyo Kart the spinoffs, like the Mount Rushmore spinoffs. I <v Speaker 2>feel like this is almost gonna be like that one <v Speaker 2>where I would be shocked at Bumper Balls and Hot <v Speaker 2>Rube Jump. Don't at least make it too like close <v Speaker 2>to the end. <v Speaker 5>I also would be shocked if anything beyond like anything <v Speaker 5>between three and the Switch ones. I wonder if we're <v Speaker 5>gonna get any of the GameCube or we want. <v Speaker 3>It's interesting because I'm curious, like Bander's probably a lot <v Speaker 3>for Mario Party one, and I feel like like, are <v Speaker 3>there any one V three or two V twos that <v Speaker 3>you really think would make it over the four player <v Speaker 3>ones are always better. <v Speaker 6>There one to be threes that are funny. <v Speaker 5>To me, They're not good, but either memorable or from <v Speaker 5>the first one before they realized it was breaking everyone's palms. <v Speaker 5>Taga War and the River one. <v Speaker 2>With the shy guys with the spars Paddle Battle, Yes, yeah, <v Speaker 2>those are yeah. <v Speaker 6>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I always think about Crane game because it's bullshit and <v Speaker 3>I hate that it's no fun. Yeah, so it's like <v Speaker 3>a problem. <v Speaker 2>Some of these two B two's are pretty iconic. I <v Speaker 2>feel like it's fun. Yeah, Bob's led Ron. I think <v Speaker 2>Desert dash as variants are pretty iconic where you're pressing <v Speaker 2>the buns in order and then a hand car havoc too. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, those are all fun. <v Speaker 5>The team ones are fun because it's like, oh, who <v Speaker 5>am I going to get teamed up with? But like, <v Speaker 5>I don't think any of these are going to make <v Speaker 5>it on on the final four. <v Speaker 2>The bowling ones so stupid. Becau's got your head on <v Speaker 2>a bowling pin. <v Speaker 7>I hate the ones where like the three people barely <v Speaker 7>are playing a game. <v Speaker 2>I said stupid. I meant it as a compliment. I'm sorry. <v Speaker 2>I thought you had to ridge it for it. <v Speaker 6>Like, no, either, it's hilarious. <v Speaker 2>No, great, great, see Grubb, Do you have a list <v Speaker 2>going here that we started adding. <v Speaker 4>To Yes, I do. Okay, so right now I bumper <v Speaker 4>balls and hot Rope Jump. <v Speaker 5>Crazy Cutters on there. I love Crazy Cutters. Crazy Cutters <v Speaker 5>is fun face lit facelift yeah, face. <v Speaker 4>Face just the one I was going to suggest, okay, good, yeah, yeah. <v Speaker 6>I love facelift it. <v Speaker 3>I mean, you know system Mario sixty four title screen <v Speaker 3>and just turn that into a MANI game is super smart. <v Speaker 4>I don't want to, like, you know, hold out on <v Speaker 4>our friend in chat any longer? Can we? Let's put <v Speaker 4>hexagon heat up there? <v Speaker 2>I any form that it takes is like the first <v Speaker 2>one's mushroom mix up. But you know what, for them, <v Speaker 2>we can say hext gun Yeah. <v Speaker 4>I think he s gun Heat is when it became iconic. <v Speaker 2>I think there is. <v Speaker 7>He is just kind of like yeah, well go ahead. <v Speaker 2>Oh. <v Speaker 5>I was gonna say, there's a type that I love <v Speaker 5>where it's like like crazy Cutter and Facelift are both <v Speaker 5>this where it's like you're just doing some fucking stupid <v Speaker 5>thing with an analog stick, and then it's some unseen. <v Speaker 6>Judge is going to give you a score out of <v Speaker 6>one hundred. <v Speaker 5>I love that, and then you can always argue about <v Speaker 5>like what the fuck you didn't trace that boot that <v Speaker 5>looks like shiit like, but you just have one like those. <v Speaker 3>Then there's kind of the last Man's Standing variety. I <v Speaker 3>think bumper Balls is probably the best of that. But <v Speaker 3>then you have bombs Away, although I think i'd they're <v Speaker 3>playing xicon Heat over bombs Away. <v Speaker 2>What about the. <v Speaker 1>Block card Derby because that one was so frustrating, but <v Speaker 1>it's also it's right, but it's so like the definition <v Speaker 1>of what Mario party is, where you are trying too <v Speaker 1>hard and you fuck up and you have no one <v Speaker 1>to blame about yourself. <v Speaker 5>And it's also weird and that like, oh, here's just <v Speaker 5>a giant Yoshi head on a tiny car, like fucked up. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, I like it. <v Speaker 2>I think look at the first one here that I <v Speaker 2>would argue the most iconic of last man Standing outside <v Speaker 2>of hexgne heat variants is shy guy. <v Speaker 5>Says, Oh, can I ask a request here? Actually, Doctor <v Speaker 5>Ryan just mentioned honeycomb havoc grub. Is it easy for <v Speaker 5>you to just have the honeycomb havoc? Can you find <v Speaker 5>like ten hours of honeycomb Havoc. It's the same track <v Speaker 5>music playing on loop in the background for us and <v Speaker 5>everyone else. <v Speaker 6>Give me, I just want to set. <v Speaker 5>The tone here, absolutely right, Okay, all right, it's really <v Speaker 5>one of the best tracks it's ever been in the game. <v Speaker 7>I says, it's such a bulls exactly. <v Speaker 1>It's great story is that the one is the sneak <v Speaker 1>a store, the one where you have to like sneak <v Speaker 1>up on the chain shop or whatever. <v Speaker 2>Party four barrel. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, I hate that one. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, but it's like that's like a last month standing <v Speaker 1>one where I think, like, yeah, it's all bullshit all <v Speaker 1>the time. <v Speaker 7>Yeah, I mean it's just an important part of Mark. <v Speaker 4>That's a positive for this series. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, anyone else like Castaways. I feel like I'm I'm <v Speaker 3>oddly good at Castaways. <v Speaker 2>The fishing. Nobody likes Castaways. <v Speaker 5>It feels good when you've got like a subtle analog <v Speaker 5>finger there and you can really kind of like got <v Speaker 5>that you know, like you know exactly how hard to <v Speaker 5>pull it back like it does feel. <v Speaker 6>Good, Mike, I get it. I don't know if it's <v Speaker 6>gonna make a. <v Speaker 7>Top four though, Pipsy Tourney, when we have to move <v Speaker 7>the that's the where you have to move the shell <v Speaker 7>around to unlock the tiles on. <v Speaker 5>That's a good one off one I don't know, like, uh, <v Speaker 5>this is. <v Speaker 2>The one, that one. <v Speaker 7>That one is one. <v Speaker 3>Escape Theirs is fun, but it's not as good as <v Speaker 3>the Men game in the Sixtus arcade. <v Speaker 7>That's the same thing. <v Speaker 5>Oh sure, yeah, it's derivative. Yes, thank thank you, yes, yes, <v Speaker 5>thank you. Christ and Grub promised me this won't stop until. <v Speaker 4>We're off the here, I promise it. Thank you. <v Speaker 1>Okay, okay, Chat, do you need more honeycomb, havoc juice? <v Speaker 2>I think they're probably also call it. We're all called juice. <v Speaker 6>It's the same thing. <v Speaker 7>God, I don't like any of Mario Party's attempts to <v Speaker 7>do music style games. <v Speaker 5>I like, uh, there's one where the look away thing <v Speaker 5>where the head's gotta look. I don't know if that's <v Speaker 5>not really music. No, I mean like bandstand uh move <v Speaker 5>to the music? Like Yeah, I don't like those at all. <v Speaker 5>Oh wait, I'm sorry, grub Chat says, at least it's <v Speaker 5>not the original N sixty four audio. <v Speaker 2>Grub, can you find the N sixty four person? <v Speaker 4>Please don't get on it. <v Speaker 6>It's more horribly and fucked up yeah, what is. <v Speaker 4>That one going to be called a honeycomb havoc as well? <v Speaker 5>Uh yeah, yeah, Mario party too to your honeycomb. <v Speaker 2>From them Superstar or something. <v Speaker 4>No, guess, keep guessing. <v Speaker 2>One. Top one hundred, yes, top one. Yeah the game. <v Speaker 2>These guys forgot about it in Jeopardy recently. <v Speaker 6>By the way, wow, wow, sure did you. <v Speaker 2>Think of what the one is where like you go <v Speaker 2>down the line adding a button and you need to <v Speaker 2>like memorize the fun sequence that's. <v Speaker 5>Roll call If it's from two, that's the one I'm <v Speaker 5>super where there's like a bunch of ghosts. <v Speaker 6>It's such are you gotta like a clicker? <v Speaker 2>You know? No, the beat goes on That's what it is. <v Speaker 2>The beat goes on in three. <v Speaker 6>Oh right, I tell from your reaction maybe. <v Speaker 2>It doesn't make the list, But that's one I think <v Speaker 2>about all the time because you have to like memorize <v Speaker 2>it and go yourself like BIZZI says situation. <v Speaker 6>Yes, yes, okay, I like that. <v Speaker 7>I like that. <v Speaker 2>That's a good one. But yeah, maybe it doesn't make <v Speaker 2>the list. <v Speaker 5>I'm looking at two now. Shell Shock is hilarious, the <v Speaker 5>one that's just battle. Thanks, Yeah, okay, I do like <v Speaker 5>shell shot. It's very fun. Yeah, good push shell Shocks <v Speaker 5>as possibility. I also Mecha Marathon is one of my <v Speaker 5>absolute favorites because it's one that is just purely determined <v Speaker 5>by how fast you can pressed the button. That is <v Speaker 5>something I've always prided myself on, is how fast I <v Speaker 5>can press the button mash. <v Speaker 1>Real quick for our audio listeners. And actually, in case <v Speaker 1>we missed anything, here's where we have so far in <v Speaker 1>the shortlist. Bumper Balls, Hot Rope Jump, Crazy Cutters, Facelift, Hexagon, Heat, <v Speaker 1>slot Card derby, Shy guy says, shell shock, and then <v Speaker 1>I was getting music ready. So if there's anything you <v Speaker 1>guys said while I was doing that, do you want <v Speaker 1>me to add and there. <v Speaker 6>That we're all call on there and shell shock? Do <v Speaker 6>you got that? <v Speaker 4>Yes? <v Speaker 2>Yes? <v Speaker 6>Will the audio listeners here with this great music? <v Speaker 4>Yes? <v Speaker 2>The audience you put it in there? Dan, don't thank you, Sean. <v Speaker 5>Oh, Disney dancing is kind of fun, the one where <v Speaker 5>you're all standing on a giant record and you get <v Speaker 5>all fucked up and you gotta grab a music note. <v Speaker 2>All right, fucking finished? Okay. <v Speaker 5>Anyways, Honeycomb Havock should be on there, because that's one <v Speaker 5>I love Honeycomb havoc. Yeah, you can fox someone over <v Speaker 5>so hard that it's like there is Teddy Roosevelt can <v Speaker 5>do about it. And you get the moment where you realize, like, oh, <v Speaker 5>they're gonna grab one, They're gonna I'm I'm talking. <v Speaker 6>About, there's nothing you can do. <v Speaker 2>I think the iconic one that was introduced into Bowser's <v Speaker 2>Big Blast. <v Speaker 5>Oh that's the most horseship mark, that is the most <v Speaker 5>Mario Party, the. <v Speaker 2>Epitome of Mario Party horseship. But I think like they <v Speaker 2>brought back multiple times like that is very iconic. I <v Speaker 2>can getting these consideration. The timing on it's even perfect <v Speaker 2>to repress it, and it's like that's variable too, like <v Speaker 2>like sometimes it like takes a second. <v Speaker 6>This game is funny. This game knows exactly what it's doing. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 5>I had a dream like two nights ago that I <v Speaker 5>was playing Mario Party Jamboree and I was so happy. <v Speaker 2>I'm so sorry for that game, man, I have too. <v Speaker 1>I am not looking forward to what we're gonna to <v Speaker 1>deal with that, but I suppose a jamboree of some <v Speaker 1>sort a jamb all right, I mean we will have <v Speaker 1>to cut this down before but I know if you don't, <v Speaker 1>if you don't want to leave any stone unturned, Dan, <v Speaker 1>I appreciate that. <v Speaker 6>I'm looking at it. <v Speaker 2>I want to go through the rest of the two <v Speaker 2>here real quick. <v Speaker 7>Pretty I mean, hop up bombs pretty good. <v Speaker 2>We're going to start being a little Put cake factory <v Speaker 2>on there, a cake factories. <v Speaker 6>Cake factory is great. <v Speaker 5>Although I have the fucking baby on my team when <v Speaker 5>I was playing with the five Weeks Old, and that's <v Speaker 5>you just you can't do ship and cake factory if <v Speaker 5>you're there's a baby, like they don't put the strawberry <v Speaker 5>on it a little. <v Speaker 4>And that's with the game. <v Speaker 7>This cake factory make you think of I love Lucy. <v Speaker 5>Also, no, I'm not ninety Night as a kid. <v Speaker 6>I didn't watch I've never seen watch. <v Speaker 7>Oh course, of course. <v Speaker 2>Man, I think I'm done with two. <v Speaker 3>Three gets a lot more ambitious, and I don't know <v Speaker 3>if it's for the best. Like there's like at where <v Speaker 3>you just you're just an airplane shooting each other and <v Speaker 3>it's cool. <v Speaker 7>But people really remember Aces High that well. <v Speaker 2>They I think they remember m p i Q the <v Speaker 2>quiz game. <v Speaker 7>That's fun, right, I mean there's a Mario puzzle party <v Speaker 7>where you just play like a drop down puzzle game, <v Speaker 7>which seems neat, but I you know, I think, yeah, <v Speaker 7>it's I like idea, but the actual puzzle game you <v Speaker 7>have to play is not a. <v Speaker 5>Worse Bumper Balls and that the one where it's like <v Speaker 5>you see everyone walk by, and then it's like, who <v Speaker 5>is the fourth one? <v Speaker 3>Like, I don't know if that's tough, I don't know. <v Speaker 3>I kind of like Title Toss. That's like one of <v Speaker 3>the one three games. I think it's kind of fun <v Speaker 3>where the guy and the one just has to butt <v Speaker 3>stomp and make waves for the other. I know, if <v Speaker 3>anyone else has any fun. <v Speaker 4>I like it. It's not gonna be top four title so. <v Speaker 2>Oh, I think I think people remember Hide and Sneak <v Speaker 2>more than a current call. <v Speaker 6>Definitely, yeah, but it also kind of actually that one does. <v Speaker 2>It does, But keep in mind, this is Mount Rushmore. <v Speaker 2>This is not quality. This is what people remember. <v Speaker 6>As I think we're doing quality or wait, what are <v Speaker 6>we doing? <v Speaker 2>It's it's like it's. <v Speaker 4>A mixture of all these things. <v Speaker 1>It's like Teddy Roosevelts maybe not one of the best presents. <v Speaker 1>He did some cool stuff, and he did some he's <v Speaker 1>really shitting a lot of other ways, but he's on <v Speaker 1>Mount Rushmore. <v Speaker 4>What does that mean? Well, he's iconic. <v Speaker 6>Okay, iconic eats a pizza. <v Speaker 5>I I think bonus points go to any game that <v Speaker 5>when it shows up in the like Roulett the Beginning <v Speaker 5>and it lands on it, you can yell it and <v Speaker 5>it's fun. <v Speaker 1>And so yeah, pizza an incredible name. And I can't <v Speaker 1>believe I have not been yelling this just whenever I <v Speaker 1>order pizza. <v Speaker 6>And it's just a. <v Speaker 2>Better version of a previous game, like they just improved <v Speaker 2>it with this one. <v Speaker 6>Are you thinking of the Treasure one? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, very treasure in one. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, but the Treasure one is like you're looking for <v Speaker 5>a specific thing eats a pizza. Aren't you trying to <v Speaker 5>eat the whole Eat the whole pizza? <v Speaker 2>Exactly? They simplified it and therefore it's just like it's <v Speaker 2>more fun and it's a team that you. <v Speaker 3>Corrected yourselfing you say eat and. <v Speaker 5>I be okay, just because then if we put it <v Speaker 5>eats a pizza on there, we get to say eats <v Speaker 5>a pizza several more times. <v Speaker 6>Incredible, whether it says or goes, you know. <v Speaker 4>Uh, eat a pizza, slap. <v Speaker 2>Down maybe, which is like the icon pops up and <v Speaker 2>you like slam your hand down before everyone else. <v Speaker 6>Maybe I do love that one. <v Speaker 3>Okay, okay, okay, yeah, I'm I feel like we might <v Speaker 3>be good on three, and now I'm curious of anything. <v Speaker 2>Four is good. Four I I will die on this hill. <v Speaker 2>Four is my favorite Mario party and is one. <v Speaker 6>Of I love book square. <v Speaker 5>I was just gonna say that that is a very <v Speaker 5>clever one, and like that's oh yeah, I think I <v Speaker 5>feel like I played that. <v Speaker 7>Yeah it is. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, book scirms for sure. Books on there. <v Speaker 1>Maybe maybe we do a little bit of a description <v Speaker 1>each time for people that are audio listeners that don't remember. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, that's it's when the book you're you're tiny little <v Speaker 5>guys and you're on a big book and it's falling <v Speaker 5>and there's shapes that are cut out. It's the job <v Speaker 5>and arrested development thing. When the house falls on there, <v Speaker 5>it is yep, yeah, there's a buster buster Oh. <v Speaker 7>My god with Charlie Chaplin, but show we can do <v Speaker 7>a rested development. <v Speaker 6>When I was watching Charlie Chaplin and Lucy and the <v Speaker 6>Computer that Wore. <v Speaker 1>Tennis shoes, I'm still when Hollywood exiled him for his <v Speaker 1>communist leaning, so sorry, Sorry, goes Bell Bottoms. <v Speaker 2>This week, I was screaming on my TV. <v Speaker 1>I'm like, my died actually a little bit inside when <v Speaker 1>he said that you were so what. <v Speaker 2>He's like, I didn't pay attention to fashion trends. I <v Speaker 2>just lost it. Have I ever told you guys my <v Speaker 2>Jinko story? No, definitely tell me this is it's actually <v Speaker 2>Chad James's story, but he told it a one time <v Speaker 2>on podcast where he said that, uh, he when he <v Speaker 2>was in high school. I think it was high school <v Speaker 2>one like Jenko's were still around. One day, they were <v Speaker 2>at lunch, you know, like hanging out in the lunch room, <v Speaker 2>and they're like, well, what are we gonna do because <v Speaker 2>we finished our lunch earlier. Dude just pulls out the <v Speaker 2>PS one one out of one pocket and some controllers <v Speaker 2>and the power record out of the other pocket. Is like, <v Speaker 2>let's play some PS one and I just set it <v Speaker 2>up with a little screen and everything, because you could <v Speaker 2>fit all that and some Jinkos. <v Speaker 6>Fucking awesome. <v Speaker 4>Yes, that rules. <v Speaker 6>Wow, guy's cool. <v Speaker 2>I love that story. Damn. I'm looking at four. I <v Speaker 2>think there's a lot of ones that I really like <v Speaker 2>but are kind of like, you know, versions of previous <v Speaker 2>ones or something. <v Speaker 6>Like the bomb is fun, the two D two reversa bomb. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, oh, this is the one where the bombs aren't <v Speaker 3>conveyor belts. You can't like your battling with something for <v Speaker 3>their team to push the buttons to switching back. <v Speaker 7>It's fun. I don't mean and I gut thinking four here. <v Speaker 5>I do want to cut us too, because this is <v Speaker 5>also a bad one to get teamed with a baby on. <v Speaker 6>Fair enough you lose three of the roads. They maybe <v Speaker 6>can't do any of it. <v Speaker 2>Dungeon duos. I feel like it's pretty memorable trying. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, don't you do to the end of the It's <v Speaker 3>pretty decent. Yeah, I saw you pulled. <v Speaker 2>It up on stream earlier, even Joe. Yeah yeah. <v Speaker 3>Also the one that is just kind of like cookies <v Speaker 3>and cream for a little cookies and cream. <v Speaker 6>Yeah yeah, I do like that. <v Speaker 3>Does that good enough description for audio cookies? <v Speaker 4>That's enough? <v Speaker 2>Just make it make it to the end of the <v Speaker 2>hallway while doing like bullshit, you know, switch make a <v Speaker 2>thing go around. Yet. I love Trace Race personally because <v Speaker 2>I was getting over ninety five percent, But I feel <v Speaker 2>like crazy cutters like the more iconic version of that, <v Speaker 2>So maybe we don't need to put both. <v Speaker 5>That's a good point, yeah, Sean, I think we might <v Speaker 5>have similar Mario Party opinions. I think everything you're saying <v Speaker 5>here this do you respect what I say? <v Speaker 2>One? <v Speaker 6>All right? <v Speaker 2>I think that's good for four, it's a good five. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>we ain't. <v Speaker 7>You know at what point did the gaetube games become <v Speaker 7>all about the microphone gimmicks? <v Speaker 3>As why there are four GameCube ones. I think the <v Speaker 3>only one people have fun this for is that first <v Speaker 3>one for. <v Speaker 2>Because it's just classic Mario Party. <v Speaker 7>Yeah, right, then they try to fuck it up. <v Speaker 5>I think the most fun job on the planet would <v Speaker 5>probably be the person that they hand you like a <v Speaker 5>hundred Mario Party mini games and they say name these <v Speaker 5>in English? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know what would be an English thing? Here? <v Speaker 5>It's like, oh, this is mazed and confused. This one's <v Speaker 5>Coney Island, This one's just great cake factory. Dinger Dinger Derby. <v Speaker 5>Put Dinger Derby on there. <v Speaker 4>I'll put Dinger Derby on there. Give me a second, <v Speaker 4>yep eats up informing. <v Speaker 3>That people like Mario Party six excuse me, ah Man <v Speaker 3>Fire looks like a fun one versus three game. I <v Speaker 3>like the idea of just trying to catch everybody on <v Speaker 3>fucking fire with flamesover seems so fu up. <v Speaker 6>I love it. <v Speaker 7>Yeah, Mario Mex Oh, Mario Mix is just like a <v Speaker 7>different version of the tank one. It looks like it <v Speaker 7>looks fun. <v Speaker 5>If it was just a full middle your solid game <v Speaker 5>with Mario inside Mario Party. <v Speaker 2>I think Square Away is the only one that's uh really. <v Speaker 3>You know, oh when when you're the dice and like <v Speaker 3>it's a one B three, so the one is a <v Speaker 3>smaller dice and the three or bigger dicey. <v Speaker 2>Trying to flat the smaller one. And that's also one <v Speaker 2>that I believe has come back before. <v Speaker 7>But yeah, the fact that I recognize it means it <v Speaker 7>must be in Superstar. <v Speaker 5>We are we are at the point where I'm not <v Speaker 5>recognizing these as much, and I'm trying to think of why. <v Speaker 6>And it's like, oh, I was in college, and it was. <v Speaker 5>Probably harder to find people that wanted to play Mario Party. <v Speaker 1>I was because you were drunk. Oh no, it's just <v Speaker 1>well that couldn't find it human means well, I just <v Speaker 1>put up with you, are I guarantee. <v Speaker 5>Every time a new one came out that I had <v Speaker 5>to review, and that would have been the game tubera. <v Speaker 5>I definitely pulled people in like after the bar be like, Okay, <v Speaker 5>you gotta come play with me. We'll just do twenty <v Speaker 5>turns gone, We'll only take a four in the morning. <v Speaker 5>So that is probably the context that I reviewed all these. <v Speaker 2>I think that's all I'm saying. <v Speaker 7>With the pun, I like the pun of fish upon <v Speaker 7>a star. <v Speaker 2>But it's good. <v Speaker 4>Stop we're still on five. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, still hovering around five. <v Speaker 7>I don't like I'm moving on. <v Speaker 1>Let's let's keep going because we got to have a <v Speaker 1>show at three pm. <v Speaker 7>Right, uh wow, I mean I look, I think it's <v Speaker 7>it's almost getting kind of settled here. <v Speaker 6>Although people chain said six is great. <v Speaker 7>If you want to shout out one of these vide games, <v Speaker 7>no but ease artist. <v Speaker 5>Is that the one where you can catch all the <v Speaker 5>little goombas and sometimes there's a gold goomba. <v Speaker 4>Yes, that one. That's a good one. <v Speaker 5>Yes, Oh pokey punch Out. That's another one where you're <v Speaker 5>just jamming on a like a madman. <v Speaker 6>I love that. <v Speaker 2>Oh snow World where you need to go around the <v Speaker 2>face buns as quick as you can on snowboard. <v Speaker 6>That one's awesome. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's yeah, that was really good. I like that <v Speaker 2>one a lot for that one. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, I did a I did that really well <v Speaker 1>once and then never again. <v Speaker 6>Put the snowboard one in there. That's good, all right? <v Speaker 4>Like what was I called again? Snow World? <v Speaker 2>Okay, snow Work goes up from six. <v Speaker 7>This is one of those other platforming ones, which there's <v Speaker 7>been other versions of this. There's that one where you t. <v Speaker 2>I never like these. I feel like my friends don't either. <v Speaker 7>I do, but I'm gonna jumping. <v Speaker 6>I don't remember Trott. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, that's right. <v Speaker 5>Kiper Sniper is one, and these are all what are <v Speaker 5>these strawberry short pews? <v Speaker 3>I should play That's what we need to do. We <v Speaker 3>need to play one of these GameCube ones. <v Speaker 6>Touching should yes, Sumo of Dumo what. <v Speaker 2>That's These are some weird ones. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, yeah, these are fucking weird. <v Speaker 7>Is there is there anything from the we control of one? <v Speaker 5>We are going to get at least one jerk off <v Speaker 5>one in contention, maybe not on the. <v Speaker 2>We're on seven. Now, we're on seven. I'm not seeing <v Speaker 2>much from this one. Pokey Pommel. We already have like <v Speaker 2>a mashing a. <v Speaker 6>Ones, big dripper. God, these names are good. <v Speaker 3>Ghosts in the hall in the mathemorgan I just thought <v Speaker 3>that is crazy. <v Speaker 2>Damn it, God, they love their jobs over there. <v Speaker 8>Yeah we should, God, damn Mathem mortician coin op Bob <v Speaker 8>Pogo a Go go Wheel of woe be my chum, oh. <v Speaker 2>Man, good? <v Speaker 7>All right? <v Speaker 2>Eight rank? <v Speaker 6>What is what the friend of jerk offf era every <v Speaker 6>jerking off? All right, that's what is Crank to rank? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, crank? <v Speaker 4>Oh my god, put. <v Speaker 6>Crank to rank on the list. <v Speaker 1>Just rank is credit incredible thing that they put into <v Speaker 1>a video game. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Jeff, shake it up? Is the rank is a <v Speaker 2>funnier name for it's your name, but everyone knows. Everyone <v Speaker 2>knows shake it up? <v Speaker 6>You want to shake it off? <v Speaker 3>Set in like modern day New York City. <v Speaker 4>It's New Duk City right there. <v Speaker 3>This is out before the time of Two Tongues, New <v Speaker 3>Dog City's eternal. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, crank to rank, crank to rank. <v Speaker 5>I might be pushing for crank to rank. You gotta steal other people's crop. <v Speaker 4>God damn. <v Speaker 6>It also a game eight. <v Speaker 5>Maybe not the best mini games, but this might be <v Speaker 5>like the best assortment of top names. <v Speaker 7>Yeah, holy ship, all right, I'm on I'm on nine. <v Speaker 7>Now it's a game called tuber Tug, which is just <v Speaker 7>another man. <v Speaker 2>That's like a British name right there. <v Speaker 4>You gotta do some tuber tagging now dot com. <v Speaker 5>Can anyone in the change to check tuber tug dot com, <v Speaker 5>Crankdora dot com. <v Speaker 3>He's going where maybe maybe put your cognito. <v Speaker 5>Tuber tug dot com is incredible. If anybody wants to <v Speaker 5>redirect that to. <v Speaker 2>A giant jan t m T M t m T. <v Speaker 3>There's there's a game in nine called Pizza Me Maria. <v Speaker 3>I don't even know what you do in this game. <v Speaker 3>Looking at this picture, it's like you're playing cards with <v Speaker 3>pizza toppings. <v Speaker 4>A party Pizza to Me Mariorow. <v Speaker 2>It looks like it's some one of those like you know, <v Speaker 2>like cooking games where you need to like complete the <v Speaker 2>order like an overcoat kind of thing. <v Speaker 5>Oh man, if we didn't know the GameCube ones, these <v Speaker 5>we ones and we you went, this is just the <v Speaker 5>bad lands of Mario Party. I don't know what the <v Speaker 5>fuck's going on with these hogs? Ten one persons rivals <v Speaker 5>mini games as whole hogs you pop out of holes <v Speaker 5>and it's what's a hog? <v Speaker 2>It? I guess? <v Speaker 7>Is it just more mania again? <v Speaker 6>That's like a controller with holes in it that you <v Speaker 6>pop out of. <v Speaker 7>Okay, okay, I can't. <v Speaker 1>Here's double Thunder. Scoot scurry that's a good one. <v Speaker 2>Scoot and scurry one right, Yeah, No one played on <v Speaker 2>the car. You're all in a little dumb car together. <v Speaker 2>If you can get like specifically a group of five together. <v Speaker 2>This one actually was pretty fun. I thought, well, you're <v Speaker 2>entitled to that. Found it pounded there's a question mark. <v Speaker 6>Found it pounded exclamation point? <v Speaker 7>All right, they know what they're doing. <v Speaker 4>Oh where is it founded? <v Speaker 3>Ground Pound Pals, Bouncy Bounty. <v Speaker 7>Now I'm just like looking at it. <v Speaker 6>No, I don't know. And then there's the only other <v Speaker 6>original one, Super Mario Party, which. <v Speaker 2>We get into some good ones here. Let's see there's <v Speaker 2>some good ones. Slabarazzi. <v Speaker 5>I think Slaparazzi is one of the best modern Mario <v Speaker 5>Party mini games. It's a great name, It's got all <v Speaker 5>the marks of a great Mario. Listen, that's the one <v Speaker 5>where you're shoving people all the way up. He's a <v Speaker 5>good one one. <v Speaker 6>Oh Can't Take Pancake? Yes, pancake, and that's whe where <v Speaker 6>you get pancakes, especially. <v Speaker 5>After what I heard recently about how you can just <v Speaker 5>if I wanted to be an asshole, I can just <v Speaker 5>hold on to the last pancake forever and the game <v Speaker 5>just won't end. I have never been able to deploy <v Speaker 5>that nuclear oxen yet, but I've been waiting to play. <v Speaker 6>Can't Take Pancake ever since I learned that. <v Speaker 2>Oh No, candy shakedown, you know yellow at rumble going there, <v Speaker 2>I try to shake the candies out of the jar. <v Speaker 5>I prefer for the HG thing or the motion stuff. <v Speaker 5>I like the one where you cook the meat. <v Speaker 2>Yes, I was looking for that one trying. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, which one is the meat? <v Speaker 2>That's the one that show in the trailer. <v Speaker 4>On the first row. <v Speaker 6>That's it. <v Speaker 2>That's it. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, and you're cooking. It's like a cooking look a look. <v Speaker 1>So you feel the sizzle and it changes as and <v Speaker 1>that's when you flip. <v Speaker 5>It and there's the color like you can flip it <v Speaker 5>and you can see a good dark on one side <v Speaker 5>and everything. <v Speaker 6>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I think I've never played this, and I think it's <v Speaker 3>my favorite mini game. <v Speaker 2>It's fantastic. <v Speaker 5>Oh that sign Steel delivers kind of fun where you <v Speaker 5>have you're piloting drones and trying to steal delivery drivers. <v Speaker 7>That's funny, steal things. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, there's some good ones in here. That's a good game. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>all right, I think we got the best one. <v Speaker 7>Last calls here, start whittling. <v Speaker 2>I think we're probably good. <v Speaker 7>We've got a list here, yeah. <v Speaker 1>All right for audio listeners once again's we'll go from <v Speaker 1>the bottom up. Okay, do <v Speaker 2>you want to move? <v Speaker 4>You want to put any locks end? You want to <v Speaker 4>put any that are locked? <v Speaker 5>Bumper balls is like the it's like the I think <v Speaker 5>the first screenshot I saw Mario Party was probably bumper Balls, <v Speaker 5>and I instantly was like, oh, I want to play that. <v Speaker 2>That's our Washington right there. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, yeah, okay, George Washington, what was Okay? These are <v Speaker 6>all good? <v Speaker 5>Look okay, look we all like to laugh at the <v Speaker 5>whackoff games. <v Speaker 6>Are any of them? Mount rushmore quality? Rank to rank? <v Speaker 2>Okay, what are you rank? Like? <v Speaker 3>But what do you you? You you it's a flagpole thing. <v Speaker 3>It's a flagpole thing. <v Speaker 4>Okay, you seriously about cranking the ranking? Dan, You can't <v Speaker 4>get one over on this guy. <v Speaker 2>People made so many jokes about whacking off with a <v Speaker 2>we remote back in the day, and they were basically <v Speaker 2>referring to shake it up. I think shake it Up <v Speaker 2>could be one that like makes a little ways here close. <v Speaker 5>It is fun Actually, Mario party is to laugh with <v Speaker 5>your friends while doing competition. <v Speaker 1>I think of you laughing playing that when I get <v Speaker 1>to shake it up Maria party. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it is just the wee era version of the <v Speaker 2>mashing a meks. That's funny because yeah, you're like whacking <v Speaker 2>off with we are stupid. <v Speaker 1>We'll say goodbye to crank to rank unfortunately and shake <v Speaker 1>it up for now. <v Speaker 6>We didn't do tuber Tug. <v Speaker 5>Okay, I don't think Stooper Tug is a whack off game. <v Speaker 6>It just sounds like one. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, but there's tuber Tugg. Now I'm gonn. <v Speaker 2>I'm immediately thinking, uh, shell shocked. Probably doesn't make it. <v Speaker 5>Oh that was the Battle Tanks one. Yeah, it's good. <v Speaker 5>These are look, these are all good. They're all winners. <v Speaker 7>But I don't I don't want guy says Veto. <v Speaker 2>That's a pretty iconic one. It's pretty iconic. <v Speaker 7>There's a lot of iconic ones here. <v Speaker 5>As much as I like cake Factory, and how much <v Speaker 5>I like saying cake Factory Country. <v Speaker 1>Does just sound like a sexual inia even more than <v Speaker 1>some of these other ones. Yeah, I'll go to cake <v Speaker 1>Factory dot com and you'll see some real ship. <v Speaker 6>Oh good, I think we can take it off. I <v Speaker 6>don't know if I could. <v Speaker 3>I can't take eats a pizza seriously anymore, now that <v Speaker 3>I know they could have named that one. <v Speaker 7>It's pizza me Mario. <v Speaker 6>No, I think he eats a pizza is better. That's <v Speaker 6>a name. <v Speaker 4>Pizza. <v Speaker 1>It's that it's a pizza me. It's pizza me Mario <v Speaker 1>eats a pizza. But so we all say it three <v Speaker 1>see one? <v Speaker 2>Okay, I guess I'm not feeling Honeycomb havoc either. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I love it, but I get it. <v Speaker 6>Which one honey comb? <v Speaker 5>The one where you want to you're either getting a <v Speaker 5>delicious fruit or a bunch of bees singing you. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 4>I would take browsers Browser's Big Blast over that for <v Speaker 4>like the complete bullshit ones. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think for a lot of these. If you <v Speaker 2>have to ask, that's probably not a good sign. <v Speaker 6>Well, that's what it is. <v Speaker 5>Like Honeycomb havoc, there is actual strategy you can employ it. <v Speaker 5>Bowser's Big Glass is so pure and it's bullshit exactly exactly. <v Speaker 6>I wouldn't get the block card Derby. <v Speaker 1>I do like it, but yeah, yeah, definitely I like <v Speaker 1>that one. A lot, but it's I don't think it's <v Speaker 1>going to actually make it after we got through all <v Speaker 1>these what's. <v Speaker 7>What's snow world again? <v Speaker 4>That is the one. It's the face buttons. <v Speaker 1>You're going around the face button circleboarding. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, probably not. I'd like just that one. Yeah, we <v Speaker 2>probably take that one on. <v Speaker 6>Let's cut either crazy cutters or facelift. <v Speaker 1>I would I think I would keep you right, god, Okay, <v Speaker 1>I'm gonna say I'm gonna facelift. <v Speaker 5>I love facelift because the eyebrows. Okay, you gotta get <v Speaker 5>that up there, like justum trying to figure out e bro. <v Speaker 5>His nose is a little bit down, like you know, Yeah, <v Speaker 5>it's hard. I like them both, almost equally excited to <v Speaker 5>them both both. Maybe get rid of book Squirm. I <v Speaker 5>like Bookscorm. It's good, but look at the competition here. <v Speaker 6>There is a murderers. <v Speaker 2>I think in reaching that balance of good and memorable, <v Speaker 2>Bookstorm is as memorable for as many people, even though <v Speaker 2>it's a very good game. <v Speaker 3>What I'll say about is I think it's the maybe <v Speaker 3>the best of the game. <v Speaker 7>Cub Era. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, easily, I would give you that. Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's fair. Yeah, roll. <v Speaker 6>I like I don't think it the hangs with the <v Speaker 6>rest of these, it's not gonna hang. <v Speaker 5>Yes, okay, look all due respect to hexagon heat. <v Speaker 6>Really yeah, great one. <v Speaker 1>It's yeah, it's so close bump the balls exactly. <v Speaker 5>It does have the hilarious moment that always happens though, <v Speaker 5>where everyone's crowded on the light blue mushroom. One straggler <v Speaker 5>is coming up and jumps but bounces off their heads <v Speaker 5>into the lava. <v Speaker 6>That is a crazy Pier Mario party moment right there. <v Speaker 1>I mean, I'm thinking about another lock, so we'll only <v Speaker 1>have to keep two hot rope jump feels like a lot. <v Speaker 7>It's just about to suggest we get rid of it. <v Speaker 3>It's you got look, I know you have a moment <v Speaker 3>for it. It is just jump. <v Speaker 5>Not just because of the moment, like that moment was great, <v Speaker 5>but like yeah, as a kid playing it was just <v Speaker 5>my sisters, we were always excited because it's just so <v Speaker 5>everyone's so just locked in on you're locked. <v Speaker 4>In yeah, yeah, this is. <v Speaker 2>The one you try to get to ninety nine or <v Speaker 2>whatever on you know. Yeah, but then Mario Otissey has <v Speaker 2>its own challenge. Yes, yeah, that's exactly what they were <v Speaker 2>thinking of. <v Speaker 5>Mario Otissey had a leader board the single player Mario game, <v Speaker 5>but any what the fuck? <v Speaker 2>Goddamn it. I'm also not feeling dinger Derby right. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, it's actually the most infuriating one because you just <v Speaker 5>miss every time. <v Speaker 6>Trying to pay attention. <v Speaker 7>How wrong do you guys feel about check? I says, <v Speaker 7>I know it's an iconic one. <v Speaker 2>But I'm fine cutting it. Yeah, I get it. <v Speaker 6>I'm like, damn it, we have. <v Speaker 4>To cut one of facelift or Crazy Cutters. Guys. <v Speaker 7>Yeah, okay, everyone, just let's go down the line. <v Speaker 2>Damn it. <v Speaker 3>I'm gonna call on you. You say one or the other. <v Speaker 3>We're gonna do a vote to cheap or cut to keep? <v Speaker 3>Which one are we keeping? <v Speaker 4>I want to get facelift. <v Speaker 7>I want to facelift in. <v Speaker 6>Crazy Cutter, facelift facelif facelift You. <v Speaker 2>For facelift Sean crazy Cutters. <v Speaker 7>Oh all right, I don't want to all the facelifts. <v Speaker 2>We don't. <v Speaker 3>Okay, face cut iconic crazy cut it's right there, and <v Speaker 3>the part of the exterwords are shaking and the goomba <v Speaker 3>like breaks out of the thing and so much fun. <v Speaker 7>Man. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, what about slack? <v Speaker 3>We haven't talked about Slapparazzi yet, which is definitely the <v Speaker 3>best modern one. <v Speaker 1>Part of me, it feels like it's like it maybe <v Speaker 1>should get a little extra up there because of that, <v Speaker 1>But I don't. I love Slaparazzi, but maybe it's not <v Speaker 1>actually gonna hang out. <v Speaker 2>I love is like in the same pantheon as Book Squirm. <v Speaker 2>For me, it's a fantastic game, but I'm not sure people. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, it's we can't give it bonus points or wait, <v Speaker 5>because it's like, oh, it's very good for the modern ones, <v Speaker 5>you know. I kind of want to say to to <v Speaker 5>lock in Bowser's Big Blast just because of how pure <v Speaker 5>it is. <v Speaker 6>Just it is in a game full of horseshit. <v Speaker 5>It is the one where they don't even try to <v Speaker 5>put a veneer over it. <v Speaker 1>It's I mean, we should get rid of Hextagon Heat <v Speaker 1>because we said that Bowser's Big Blast was more pure <v Speaker 1>than hexcott were. <v Speaker 5>I thought we already got I love the Bounce, but okay, okay, <v Speaker 5>out of this, I gotta say Facelift, Like the whacken <v Speaker 5>Off is funny, but Facelift is a unique and super <v Speaker 5>fun mark a party mini game that I think everyone loves. <v Speaker 7>Yeah, that's right. <v Speaker 2>The irony of it came from another game, but. <v Speaker 1>Sean, you you're gonna get that clip later for us, right, well, <v Speaker 1>love black enough. <v Speaker 2>So that's why I have the solo track track. <v Speaker 4>All right. <v Speaker 1>Our mount rushmore of Mario Party minigames is Bumper Balls, <v Speaker 1>Hot Broke, Jump, Bowser's, Big Blast and Facelift. <v Speaker 6>Are they all from like one? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? Big Blast is too okay? Right? <v Speaker 4>So but this is right. <v Speaker 7>I mean, we all knew it was going to be <v Speaker 7>early game heavy here. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 7>I still thinking Pizza Me Mario was robbed. But that's okay. <v Speaker 5>There is a reason all four of these are in Superstars. Yeah, absolutely, Yeah. <v Speaker 5>I could have probably just looked at the list of <v Speaker 5>the games of the minigames. <v Speaker 6>It's super or Top one hundred. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, alright, that okay, let me do this.
