<v Speaker 1>On me. <v Speaker 2>Welcome into a Nontendo podcast where starting fresh right now. <v Speaker 2>We had a massive audio glitch the first time we <v Speaker 2>went live. If it happens again, I'm gonna pull my <v Speaker 2>hair out. My name is Wood Hawker, and I'm my. <v Speaker 3>Hair out because I'm very attached to it. <v Speaker 2>So I'm excited to talk about Pokemon today. And I <v Speaker 2>was trying to make it a surprise, but Ham is back. <v Speaker 2>I'm here. Hello, I'm back. I'm back. I made it <v Speaker 2>fresh off of COVID. Yes, I shouldn't say that so <v Speaker 2>quickly in the episode? Can you can you erase that <v Speaker 2>I am not a miracle? Algorithm is gonna hate that <v Speaker 2>I said that. I don't know what you want me <v Speaker 2>to do about that. What you had though, I think <v Speaker 2>I might have. Yeah, it tasted like it, if you <v Speaker 2>know what I mean. It tasted like it. <v Speaker 3>Tasted like like a bashirt. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Well, I hope that you're all good because I don't <v Speaker 2>want to get see. I'm okay, I'm okay. I'm excited <v Speaker 2>to be back with him. It's given Kim the day off. <v Speaker 2>She is a lot of pregnancy cramps, and I'm excited. <v Speaker 2>I'm excited. You know what else I'm excited. <v Speaker 3>For the intro music. Did you did you like how <v Speaker 3>I picked up on what you were going for there? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? Yeah I did. I'm not sure there was. It <v Speaker 2>was a bizarre We went live and immediately a bizarre <v Speaker 2>extreme audio issue that cannot be explained, inexplicable. We didn't <v Speaker 2>figure out what it was. We just took the episode <v Speaker 2>down and started again because it was immediate, and I <v Speaker 2>think it's just a cursed sign of ham. <v Speaker 3>Well, okay, let's let's listen. This is Are we really <v Speaker 3>going to unpackt this right now? Because not, Let's talk <v Speaker 3>about all the problems that you had last time, not <v Speaker 3>without me, nothing that I had to rip the episode <v Speaker 3>down and start again. I'm sorry, but it doesn't matter. <v Speaker 3>At the end of the day, we both can't explain <v Speaker 3>what the hell just happened. <v Speaker 2>I'm saying cursed. There's something about audio when you're here <v Speaker 2>at the start of an episode, even in the first <v Speaker 2>like minimum five minutes, where something goes wrong inexplicably that <v Speaker 2>we can't explain. You can get us for a curse. No, <v Speaker 2>I can't fire you for a curse. <v Speaker 3>That's true. <v Speaker 2>I'm not saying it's your fault. I'm saying you are <v Speaker 2>cursed and that's your fault. <v Speaker 3>Well, what we can all be grateful for is the <v Speaker 3>fact that Clint Thurman just super chat at twenty dollars <v Speaker 3>and said welcome back, Ham and I can appreciate that. <v Speaker 3>Thank you. <v Speaker 2>Thank you so much for saying that I don't have chat. <v Speaker 2>I forgot to have chat. You're gonna have to. <v Speaker 3>Also, Tito Martinez with the one ninety nine super chat says, hemn, <v Speaker 3>thank you. <v Speaker 2>I want to bring up chat. Actually, you guys are <v Speaker 2>crushing it lately with these super chats. Thank you so much. <v Speaker 2>Keep me. Can you keep me abreast the super chat <v Speaker 2>because usually usually I miss them. <v Speaker 3>I'll do my best. I will, Yeah, for sure. <v Speaker 2>So much for doing that and for saying that. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>and thank you. We've got a new member as well <v Speaker 2>as you just did you. <v Speaker 3>I don't know how to I don't I don't know <v Speaker 3>how YouTube works. <v Speaker 2>Leaks of dreams. <v Speaker 3>There you go. <v Speaker 2>All right, So we have a lot to talk about today. <v Speaker 2>We're deep diving into Pokemon. I if you're watching this <v Speaker 2>and not listening or listening, I guess I'm gonna explain <v Speaker 2>to you. I have a table field with Pokemon stuff <v Speaker 2>here and a lot of it's very nostalgic. As I <v Speaker 2>was pulling it all out, I realized how much sentimental <v Speaker 2>value I have a lot to this Pokemon stuff. All <v Speaker 2>of these are my original game Boy games from Australia. <v Speaker 2>The game Boy color ones blue red, Well that's not <v Speaker 2>game board color, you know what I mean? Leaf green, <v Speaker 2>which I actually believe was my brother's silver gold. Then <v Speaker 2>I have the Japanese red that I bought while I <v Speaker 2>was in Japan. A lot of this I got in Japan. <v Speaker 2>Actually this guy. I got it one of the Pokemon <v Speaker 2>centers in Japan. They had every single stuffy for every <v Speaker 2>single Pokemon and I wanted to get one, and I <v Speaker 2>chose Rattini because it's so cute. This came from the <v Speaker 2>Pokemon Cafe. So did that mug. I don't know if <v Speaker 2>you can see the mug, the little wooden one in <v Speaker 2>front of him. <v Speaker 3>Then I moved it because it was kind of in <v Speaker 3>the way. <v Speaker 2>It's the coolest mug. I got that at the cafe <v Speaker 2>as well. What else have I got here? Oh? This <v Speaker 2>is that really rare Pokemon happy Holiday switch that I <v Speaker 2>got In the last Japanese blog. Pokemon themselves sent me <v Speaker 2>this Denim Pikachu. <v Speaker 3>I love that. <v Speaker 2>It's like a weird like denim fabric, so it's cute. <v Speaker 2>Pokemon Company actually have been really nice to me over <v Speaker 2>the years. I haven't heard from them in a while, <v Speaker 2>in a minute, but they've sent a lot of really <v Speaker 2>cool things. Yeah, like that Pokemon Pikachu and just like <v Speaker 2>a ton of Pokemon. <v Speaker 3>There's a lot of cool stuff over here too. <v Speaker 2>But you know, yeah, I got that Ramen Pikachu. I <v Speaker 2>think they explain Pokemon sent me that Ramen Pikachu there <v Speaker 2>and you're right, Oh, your left camera left this guy <v Speaker 2>he's holding Ramen. This guy no, the Pikachu holding wrong. <v Speaker 3>Oh, I'm sorry, I'm not. <v Speaker 2>That thing. There is something that Kim. The wont in <v Speaker 2>front of you is Kim and I saw that in <v Speaker 2>Japan and we really wanted it, and then she bought <v Speaker 2>it for me when we when we got home. <v Speaker 3>Beautiful, I was there at game stop when you bought <v Speaker 3>this too. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, refuse to open. That's too cool. All right. <v Speaker 3>We got a couple of super chats by the way, <v Speaker 3>and they have some questions about Pokemon Za and stuff <v Speaker 3>about that, so we can we can feel those later. <v Speaker 3>But big thanks to munching munch slacks for the nine <v Speaker 3>ninety nine super Chat and off Rock. <v Speaker 2>I wonder how many days there are until that switch <v Speaker 2>to direct thirty four? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's a good guess. <v Speaker 2>Thirty four. We're getting really close to that. That's a <v Speaker 2>that's a month out at this point thanks to feb <v Speaker 2>being so short as well, I know, literally a month out. <v Speaker 3>Love and hate February being short. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, I was thinking today like it's gonna go <v Speaker 2>by so quickly, like this month is gonna fly by, <v Speaker 2>because life is life. But then as soon as we <v Speaker 2>get that direct from there, it's gonna be crazy. We're <v Speaker 2>gonna be rushing out and trying to get pre orders. <v Speaker 2>Then it's probably gonna release a month or two after that, <v Speaker 2>and we're gonna release with cool new games like Mario Kart. <v Speaker 2>And then a month or two after that we're gonna <v Speaker 2>get like third party games. We're gonna get Pokemon Za, <v Speaker 2>we might get Metroid Like as soon as I feel like, <v Speaker 2>as soon as that direct rolls. <v Speaker 3>Around, we're doing okay over there, king what's going on? <v Speaker 2>I don't know. I'm getting messages about the never mind. <v Speaker 3>I'm going to expand real quick because I had a <v Speaker 3>way for my lower third to disappear. <v Speaker 2>As soon as it As soon as we get this direct, <v Speaker 2>I feel like the rest of the year is going <v Speaker 2>to roll so quickly. I'm really excited. <v Speaker 3>There's gonna be a lot of exciting stuff coming up. <v Speaker 3>We got switched to, we got Wood two. Yeah, it's <v Speaker 3>gonna be well. <v Speaker 2>Wood end Kim too. Yeah, it's like a it's like <v Speaker 2>a mish mash. It's it's a collapse. It's like a <v Speaker 2>two fer. It's a it's a tooth kind of. It's <v Speaker 2>a collabse like a two fer. We're also in a <v Speaker 2>baby a collab. It's crazy. I collab with Kim on <v Speaker 2>something special. Ah. We also are inching towards the one <v Speaker 2>hundred k subscribers, thinking everybody that's hitting that subscribe button. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it was like like checking is like thirteen hundred <v Speaker 3>new subscribers in there. <v Speaker 2>I know you guys are crushing it. Thank you. And <v Speaker 2>then the Patreon supports crazy and the super chats are crazy. <v Speaker 2>I really appreciate the support, and I'm just so excited <v Speaker 2>for everything this year, both on the podcast and the <v Speaker 2>main channel. We want to do voicemail and then we'll <v Speaker 2>get We'll get tucked in with the Pokemon presents or <v Speaker 2>do you want to save that. <v Speaker 3>I am happy to do a voicemail. I'm realizing that <v Speaker 3>you would need to share your screen to do it. <v Speaker 2>Now because it's not on this Let's not do it. <v Speaker 2>Let's not pull the rip cord. <v Speaker 4>Right. <v Speaker 3>I can make it happen, but I'd have to open discords. <v Speaker 2>I want to dive straight into the direct oh the <v Speaker 2>Pokemon presents. But before that, there's one thing I want <v Speaker 2>to share because I keep forgetting to share this every <v Speaker 2>week and it's the last week that I can share <v Speaker 2>it if you can show my screen. So if you <v Speaker 2>guys remember we did an episode with F and D Films, <v Speaker 2>Aaron and Vinnie a while ago. Really nice guys. They <v Speaker 2>ended up becoming really close friends of mine. I love <v Speaker 2>those guys a lot. I supported them last movie, and <v Speaker 2>also I bought their dv I when I was like <v Speaker 2>eighteen or six seventeen, maybe I bought their DVD like <v Speaker 2>I was such a big fan. I am a big <v Speaker 2>fan of them, their original YouTube content creators, and they're <v Speaker 2>working on their new movie and they started an Indiegogo <v Speaker 2>and I've supported this one too, and I just want <v Speaker 2>to give it a shout out. Take a look over <v Speaker 2>it and see what you think. It's for a horror movie. <v Speaker 2>They're working with some really cool special effect artists and <v Speaker 2>prop artists, and it's an idea they've had for years. <v Speaker 2>And yeah, I just wanted to give it a shout out. <v Speaker 2>If you enjoyed that episode where they were on check <v Speaker 2>out their their Indiegogo here for meat Man. Yeah, it's <v Speaker 2>wanted to show that. <v Speaker 3>Love that. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'll leave a link down below too. It's not <v Speaker 2>there right now, but I will leave it. Okay, let's <v Speaker 2>stay into the Pokemon Presents. Do you want to start <v Speaker 2>off the rip with the Pokemon Za trailer or do <v Speaker 2>you want to go through the whole thing. <v Speaker 3>I haven't seen it yet, okay, because as everybody knows, <v Speaker 3>and as you know, I don't watch you or your content. <v Speaker 2>So well, I only st uploaded the video. <v Speaker 3>But it doesn't matter. It's the same, the same, same <v Speaker 3>thing as true. <v Speaker 2>It's nineteen minutes long, and i'll tell you now, the <v Speaker 2>only interesting thing you said there's three minutes. <v Speaker 3>Oh, your video is nineteen minutes long. <v Speaker 2>The Pokemon Presents is nineteen pokemon and I'll tell you now, <v Speaker 2>the only interesting thing is Pokemon Za, which is three <v Speaker 2>minutes long and it's near the end. The rest is <v Speaker 2>very boring, as is every Pokemon Presents. Right, so you <v Speaker 2>want to start with the fund or you want to <v Speaker 2>you want to get that. <v Speaker 3>I'm happy to start with the fund, which, by the way, <v Speaker 3>one of the super chats that came in said that <v Speaker 3>Pokemon Presents was mid. <v Speaker 2>Pokemon Presents is mid every time. Okay, they do twenty minutes. <v Speaker 2>It's mostly fluff, it's mostly mobile games and updates to <v Speaker 2>like Unite or whatever, and then they have one big <v Speaker 2>thing at the end. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. Yeah, Well then let's let's get straight into it. <v Speaker 2>Let's let's dive straight into the news. I'll just skip <v Speaker 2>ahead then in the in the actual event. Uh boom bam, <v Speaker 2>boom bam. You ready, I'm so ready, brother. I don't <v Speaker 2>know how much I want to pause this. I'll pause <v Speaker 2>it here. All you want is a podcast, dude. I <v Speaker 2>feel I feel like I feel. I wish they would <v Speaker 2>get help. I wish they would get help. I say <v Speaker 2>this every time because I see the vision. I truly <v Speaker 2>do see the vision. But their world building skills like <v Speaker 2>game freaks, world building capabilities so unchanged. Well, they're also <v Speaker 2>just so rudimentary, Like they're so basic, Like the architecture <v Speaker 2>here of these buildings and just the general vibe of <v Speaker 2>everything is all the same. They had one idea for <v Speaker 2>a building type, and they kind of moved around some <v Speaker 2>windows and colors, but for the most part, it's it's <v Speaker 2>just so rudimentary, it's so straight cut. It's so here's <v Speaker 2>a rectangle building, here's a rectangle building, here's a rectangle building. <v Speaker 2>It's just very uninspired, and I wish they had more <v Speaker 2>help with world design. But I appreciate the scope of <v Speaker 2>the city they've tried to build. It does look quite large, okay, <v Speaker 2>and if the whole thing is explorable that, you know, <v Speaker 2>maybe you can. <v Speaker 3>If it's gonna look like this on switch to, I <v Speaker 3>really hope that we're still getting I. <v Speaker 2>Hit play a long time ago. <v Speaker 3>By the way, it's YouTube has been doing that for <v Speaker 3>me a lot too. I was gonna say, if it's <v Speaker 3>gonna look like this on switch to, I really hope <v Speaker 3>that we're gonna get the frame rates that we deserve <v Speaker 3>out of. <v Speaker 2>The frame rates absolute mess I shot that. <v Speaker 3>I was going to say, like, looking at where we're <v Speaker 3>looking at right now, if any if arc is or <v Speaker 3>anything else was an indicator for frame rates, then this <v Speaker 3>is optimistic frame rates. <v Speaker 2>Frame rates is gonna be al. So we have a <v Speaker 2>look inside here in one of the areas. Now, these <v Speaker 2>shopfronts you remember Scarlet and Violet vaguely, These are very <v Speaker 2>like the shop fronts from and Violet. They had these <v Speaker 2>little outlet mold type things, and you would walk up <v Speaker 2>to a door and it would trigger a load screen <v Speaker 2>and trigger a shop front like menu screen and you <v Speaker 2>would shop. This is just straight taken from Scarlet and Violet, <v Speaker 2>which is fine. Obviously, I would prefer to be able <v Speaker 2>to walk into a store in real time, walk up <v Speaker 2>to a counter, maybe explore the store by something, rob <v Speaker 2>the clerk very red dead redemption, No exactly, but you <v Speaker 2>know Pokemon like to cut a lot of corners here <v Speaker 2>to streamline things and to ease up the frame rates. <v Speaker 2>So so this is I mean, it's just showing a <v Speaker 2>montage of everything. That explains it more later, but we <v Speaker 2>just saw. I'll explain to you some of the wild <v Speaker 2>areas in the game, so and Chat can tell me, <v Speaker 2>Chat tell me if I'm wrong here. But it seems <v Speaker 2>like the whole game is set just in the city. <v Speaker 2>So you know how in Pokemon Archais you had a <v Speaker 2>little village and you could go out to all these <v Speaker 2>huge expansive areas over this seems like to me, you <v Speaker 2>have this one giant city that's your playground, and the <v Speaker 2>city has sectioned off certain streets that are wild areas <v Speaker 2>where they let Pokemon rome and grass overgrows and you <v Speaker 2>can go in there and you can interact and catch Pokemon, <v Speaker 2>which is an interesting idea. I said in my video today. <v Speaker 2>I think I didn't edit it. I don't know if <v Speaker 2>it got cut out. It would be wild if like <v Speaker 2>you walk down a street in New York City and <v Speaker 2>that street was sectioned out to be like a touch <v Speaker 2>zoo type thing, and you just walk in there and <v Speaker 2>there's like girafts and pigs. They you know, they have <v Speaker 2>a zoo. They have a central park zoo, the central <v Speaker 2>and then they have rats in the streets. <v Speaker 3>They have those as well. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and this confused me a little bit. So I <v Speaker 2>believe that Tota Dial and Chicka rita Gen two Pokemon, <v Speaker 2>but tep Pig is Gen five. Sure, so they just <v Speaker 2>they they got rid of the sinate, the Cinequil, whatever <v Speaker 2>the name of that Pokemon was, and replaced it with <v Speaker 2>the pig. Okay, so why did they mesh. <v Speaker 3>I couldn't tell you. That's a that's a question for <v Speaker 3>either Jordan Friends or Scootish or Austin John. If I <v Speaker 3>were to phone a friend, they usually all on speed dial. <v Speaker 3>That's true, we could phone a friend. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if I set up for that. I <v Speaker 2>do love the pig. The pig is very cute. I <v Speaker 2>think I'm gonna go toe to dial though. Okay, are <v Speaker 2>you gonna play this? Maybe I don't. <v Speaker 3>I'm I'm I'm on the fence because you know, like <v Speaker 3>I love a good open world game, and if it's <v Speaker 3>done well, I would definitely try it. I'm one hundred <v Speaker 3>percent down. I would probably go chick rito. Yeah, cool, <v Speaker 3>what did they stop? <v Speaker 1>Call? <v Speaker 2>I don't think i've seen this. Hold on, what's that? <v Speaker 3>That's cool? <v Speaker 2>What happened right now? What happened? So we're just yeah, <v Speaker 2>it's like real time like Pokemon battle play Archaeas, No, <v Speaker 2>Oh you didn't, No, I didn't. Oh yeah, that's the. <v Speaker 3>Whole thing I thought. I thought it looked like shit. <v Speaker 2>I hate Oh. <v Speaker 4>Well. <v Speaker 2>The reason why Archaeus was sick despite how it looked, <v Speaker 2>was that it introduced for the first time in a <v Speaker 2>core Pokemon game, the battling mechanics of like Open World, <v Speaker 2>you throw a Pokemon, you throw a pokebo whatever you want, yeah, <v Speaker 2>to catch Pokemon, and then you also throw out Pokemon <v Speaker 2>whenever you want, and they can battle and interact with <v Speaker 2>what wild Pokemon just in the overworld. <v Speaker 4>You know. <v Speaker 3>I think they feel like they stole that from Power World. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, so they haven't got to it yet here. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>But something they've added to this version, which is really <v Speaker 2>sick is certain moves will have lengths and like distances, <v Speaker 2>and we'll go on a certain trajectory. So now when <v Speaker 2>you say, hey, do this attack, if the Pokemon aren't <v Speaker 2>lined up or you don't say it at the right time, <v Speaker 2>the attack can actually miss. Oh almost like the actual anime. <v Speaker 3>That's cool. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and there's a shot in here too of we'll <v Speaker 2>get there. I'm sorry, I'm getting ahead. But he has <v Speaker 2>like a butterfree type bug whatever the pokemon is called, <v Speaker 2>it's not butter free. And a fire blast comes and <v Speaker 2>he moves around and the butterfly follows him and dodges it, <v Speaker 2>and then he retreats it, and he throws out Onyx <v Speaker 2>and makes Onyx attack. <v Speaker 3>Oh that's cool. There's a lot Like I really like <v Speaker 3>that a lot. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's sick. Actually, it's like the big change in <v Speaker 2>this one for the gameplay, and I like it a lot. <v Speaker 2>I actually haven't seen any of this, no, no, because <v Speaker 2>I reacted to the separate standalone trailer that wasn't in <v Speaker 2>the Pokemon Presents and none of this like preamble, like <v Speaker 2>uh non tender exclusive v role was in that. Also, <v Speaker 2>can we talk about just the visuals on this building? Yeah, like, <v Speaker 2>who are we kidding? <v Speaker 3>It looks terrible. <v Speaker 2>It's so it's such a pain because I don't want <v Speaker 2>to be negative. On one hand, I am very excited <v Speaker 2>for this because I loved Kias, And on the other <v Speaker 2>hand I can't ignore the elephant in the room that <v Speaker 2>this game is bugly as old hell. This building is <v Speaker 2>like just so unresolution, not assets, not loading in vibe. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I'm not look at that, like we don't need <v Speaker 3>building interiors, right, like we're okay with that, but just <v Speaker 3>look at those window panes. <v Speaker 2>There's no depth, no depth, Like it's just it's a <v Speaker 2>it's a jpeg. But not only is it a jpeg, <v Speaker 2>they couldn't even make it a nice crisp one. It's <v Speaker 2>just so low resolution, Like this isn't actually even assets <v Speaker 2>that they've built in the game. This is just a <v Speaker 2>picture slapped onto the side of a building. Why can't <v Speaker 2>the picture be high resolution? <v Speaker 3>It's like it's it's literally like a digital facade. <v Speaker 2>This is bare bones game development. Game freak. I I <v Speaker 2>need you guys to listen to what I'm saying. Game <v Speaker 2>freak cannot design worlds. They don't possess the no how <v Speaker 2>they don't have the technology. They're not matching our freak <v Speaker 2>So I don't they're not matching our game free Yeah, <v Speaker 2>they're not matching. I don't know why they keep trying <v Speaker 2>and they're not getting help. Like, every every element to <v Speaker 2>it is horrible. When you put it all together, it's <v Speaker 2>passable because it tricks your brain and it's like, well, <v Speaker 2>it's a city, but if you actually break down any <v Speaker 2>like small part of it, it's awful. Oh you did <v Speaker 2>like a weird like jump gliding thing. <v Speaker 3>Oh my god, Pokemon Assassin's creed. <v Speaker 2>So like we're flip flopping between being excited and being annoyed, <v Speaker 2>which experience. <v Speaker 3>We're excited for the mechanics, but it always is gonna <v Speaker 3>look like shit. <v Speaker 2>You know if it does do like a weird Assassin's <v Speaker 2>creed flying thing rooftop to rooftops, So that does actually <v Speaker 2>create like a Tiers of the Kingdom level of depth <v Speaker 2>because not only do you have this massive city, but <v Speaker 2>you have all the rooftops. Yeah, that's actually pretty cool. <v Speaker 2>That's that adds a whole I wonder if there's like <v Speaker 2>an underground. <v Speaker 3>Right by the way super chat from last Gen Gamers <v Speaker 3>five dollars, thank you so much. What sucks with sharing <v Speaker 3>a birthday with Pokemon is a lukewarm gift every year. <v Speaker 3>Hopefully ZA is gonna be good because I haven't been <v Speaker 3>impressed recently, so hey, appreciate the choir. Brother. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, we're right there with you. I mean, I'm trying. <v Speaker 2>I'm staying positive as I can. Yeah, I just don't <v Speaker 2>know why they refuse to get help, because like this <v Speaker 2>is most likely going to be a Switch to Day <v Speaker 2>one launch as well, because it's releasing late this year. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>and this is, you know, one of the Switch two <v Speaker 2>games we're gonna get. And you know that people on <v Speaker 2>the other side of the fence, the PlayStation fans, the <v Speaker 2>PC fans, they're gonna look at this, and they're gonna <v Speaker 2>get a bad opinion of the switch too, right, They're <v Speaker 2>gonna be like, oh, this is what the switch too. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>We do this all the time with Pokemon, specifically because <v Speaker 2>Pokemon is so widespread. Millions of people love Pokemon, millions <v Speaker 2>people have eyes on Pokemon, and for a lot of <v Speaker 2>people outside of the switch ecosystem, this is their reference <v Speaker 2>point for what switched games look like. <v Speaker 3>The unfortunate reality is that Nintendo is perfectly Pokemon comedy, <v Speaker 3>perfectly capable of maintaining uh their business and thriving through <v Speaker 3>maintaining their business by just doing more of the same. <v Speaker 2>Right. <v Speaker 3>I feel it's because it's all because the fan basis. <v Speaker 2>I feel like break eventually. Maybe eventually, but I mean <v Speaker 2>the people in the chest so you just read a comment. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but I still think a lot of even the <v Speaker 3>people in chat right now who are like this looks <v Speaker 3>like shit, still gonna buy the game. <v Speaker 2>I think it damn will break eventually, I really do. <v Speaker 2>And I also feel like they would perform and sell <v Speaker 2>even better if they actually looked good. <v Speaker 3>I agree, I think they would perform and sound a <v Speaker 3>lot better. <v Speaker 2>But anyway, as I was saying, you know what, I <v Speaker 2>mean like this is this is a lot of people's <v Speaker 2>reference point, and the switch to is going to immediately <v Speaker 2>get off in the first year on a bad foot <v Speaker 2>because a lot of people are going to look at <v Speaker 2>it and be like, oh, huge upgrade to the switch huh, <v Speaker 2>four hundred dollars for the switch too, And this is <v Speaker 2>what it looks like. It's unfortunate, and I'm hoping they'll <v Speaker 2>be like an improved switch to version. But no matter <v Speaker 2>how much you know resolution they pump into it or <v Speaker 2>smooth out frame rates, the game is designed at its <v Speaker 2>base the way it's designed, and this is just how <v Speaker 2>the game looks right. <v Speaker 3>Two dollars super chat from zero Gifted sub says, I <v Speaker 3>wish the invented alphabets weren't gibberish. Thank you for that. <v Speaker 3>And then also Christian's second something can't name it cut <v Speaker 3>up two dollars super channel says, do you think it <v Speaker 3>looks better than archaeas? And I don't. <v Speaker 2>I would need to see them side by side. I <v Speaker 2>don't think it's a huge improvement. I think I think <v Speaker 2>some areas look a little better, and I think that's <v Speaker 2>just because if they really have focused on only making <v Speaker 2>a city and not like five or six large expansive, <v Speaker 2>huge areas. They might have been able to condense their <v Speaker 2>efforts a bit as a whole, though, I mean, I <v Speaker 2>think it looks on pop. I think it looks as bad. <v Speaker 2>They're clearly working with the same engine and the same <v Speaker 2>assets and the same everything from Archias. So there's only <v Speaker 2>so much better that it will look. <v Speaker 3>I agree. <v Speaker 2>Uh oh, you see you see the dodge there too. <v Speaker 2>I'll rewind it a little bit, so there's like a <v Speaker 2>fire spinning wheel and he he leads the Tota dial <v Speaker 2>over to the right, turns him around, tells him to attack. <v Speaker 2>So that's pretty sick. <v Speaker 3>That is pretty cool. Gives it a little bit more <v Speaker 3>like mobile energy. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, more tactics, more strategy to the battles. And I <v Speaker 2>said this in my video too, but it breaks it <v Speaker 2>even further away from the traditional Pokemon style games where <v Speaker 2>you would select an attack and it would hit you know, <v Speaker 2>It's just there was a chance of it missing, but <v Speaker 2>you it was a random chance. This is taking it <v Speaker 2>even a step further from like a turn based RPG, <v Speaker 2>because even an Archaeus, if you selected an attack, it <v Speaker 2>just had a random chance of missing or hitting right right, <v Speaker 2>whereas now you can actually control that element. Yeah, you <v Speaker 2>can actually get good at battling in this game, right right, <v Speaker 2>beyond spamming an attack. <v Speaker 3>Yes, And also a ten dollars super chap from Tyler <v Speaker 3>Owen says Pokemon Champions is a big deal for competitive <v Speaker 3>it's an official version of Pokemon Showdown. I hope that <v Speaker 3>it turns out to be a new, full fledged stadium game. Also, <v Speaker 3>Cydequill was an archaeast, so. <v Speaker 2>As one of the starting Pokemon. <v Speaker 3>I don't think we were talking about sindicqual, were we <v Speaker 3>or no? We were Yeah, yeah, yeah, so you're saying <v Speaker 3>it was Yeah. I think that's what we're saying is <v Speaker 3>it was replaced, right what? <v Speaker 2>What? <v Speaker 3>I don't It doesn't matter. <v Speaker 2>It's not the three starting Pokemon in this game. Two <v Speaker 2>of them are the starting Pokemon as no or two <v Speaker 2>of them are the starting Pokemon from gent two, but <v Speaker 2>they switched one out, whereas the starting Pokemon in uh <v Speaker 2>who was the starting Pokemon in Occhius. I don't even know, <v Speaker 2>couldn't I didn't play the game, don't even know. All right, <v Speaker 2>I'm getting bored of this, this this montage. <v Speaker 5>Give me the thing city that people and Pokemon City <v Speaker 5>and the Carlos read the Pokemon series. <v Speaker 2>All right, here we go. <v Speaker 5>The story takes place in Lumio City, the larger. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, here we have the city. You can see how <v Speaker 2>big the city is. <v Speaker 3>They made Tokyo Tower. <v Speaker 2>They made Tokyo Tower, and there's a big, almost French <v Speaker 2>looking city around it. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, just city in the Collos European Prison Tower stands <v Speaker 5>tall at the center of this city of beautiful vistas. <v Speaker 2>Beautiful vistas is a lot. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, that's a bit of a stretch. <v Speaker 2>That's a big that's a big word. That's a beautiful <v Speaker 2>that's a tough one. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 5>These days, Lumios is undergoing a high text urban redevelopment plan. <v Speaker 2>Mm hmm. <v Speaker 3>Adequate, adequate vistas, adequate vistas even then, even then, yeah. <v Speaker 2>Maybe just vistas. <v Speaker 3>Yeahs, let's just drop the adjectives adjectives. We all know <v Speaker 3>that it's not it's anybody here. <v Speaker 2>I mean, we're literally looking at a two forty p <v Speaker 2>resolution wall right now. It really looks bad, by the way, <v Speaker 2>to break down this beautiful game development here from game Freak. <v Speaker 2>On the left and right of this wall, we have <v Speaker 2>clearly a little slightly more rendered in different kind of <v Speaker 2>brick that does that's so bad. That is that is <v Speaker 2>overlaying on top of a low resolution way worse, they <v Speaker 2>put this in the trailer and it's not even lined <v Speaker 2>up in a way that would actually be built in <v Speaker 2>real life. <v Speaker 3>It makes any sense, It doesn't make any sense. <v Speaker 2>It makes literally no, it's just it's just two visual like. <v Speaker 3>Two D assets that are just like improperly meshed with <v Speaker 3>each other. <v Speaker 2>The floor is also a different level of low resolution. <v Speaker 2>And on the right here you can almost see like <v Speaker 2>an error in the way that it's joined up with <v Speaker 2>the wall. So you know, beautiful vistas, beautiful vistas, beautiful <v Speaker 2>environments really all around city that people. Oh actually that <v Speaker 2>little uh, that little black mark I saw looked like <v Speaker 2>it was actually the floor glitching out a little bit. Whoa, well, <v Speaker 2>I can't even get back Where the hell was it? <v Speaker 3>Where are you? <v Speaker 2>Where am I? <v Speaker 4>You? <v Speaker 2>Doing? What happened? <v Speaker 5>City? To see the dice, you'll meet three pokemon, one <v Speaker 5>of which will become your first partner, Chicka, Rita, Tepig, <v Speaker 5>and Totadel. <v Speaker 2>That right there, not too bad, this one shot not <v Speaker 2>too bad? <v Speaker 3>Not too bad. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, you'll choose one of these pokemon to accompany you <v Speaker 5>on a new journey as you get to know Lumio <v Speaker 5>City and its inhabitants. <v Speaker 2>All right, we don't we needed to watch the whole thing. <v Speaker 2>Let's just skip to what we do, what we do <v Speaker 2>best when even impressed no more, you're used to it. <v Speaker 2>What song is that? You're throw a poke ball. <v Speaker 5>If you're having a hard time catching one, has one <v Speaker 5>of your Pokemon use its moves to weaken the target, <v Speaker 5>making it easier. <v Speaker 2>We see we're battling up on the rooftop here. I'm <v Speaker 2>really interested to see how I'm just I want to <v Speaker 2>know if you leave the city. I mean, I want to, <v Speaker 2>but it doesn't seem like it. It does, it does. <v Speaker 3>It does feel a little odd that we're being confined <v Speaker 3>to a city. <v Speaker 2>It does seem like a slight step back. And I <v Speaker 2>mean like the city looks big, but not like that big. No, <v Speaker 2>not as big as obvious as worlds. <v Speaker 4>Right. <v Speaker 5>I think the next part is the battle offers a <v Speaker 5>style of Pokemon battling not seen in previous titles. <v Speaker 2>Here we go. <v Speaker 5>Moves can have a longer or shorter reach, or different <v Speaker 5>areas of effect. To choose your timing and positioning carefully <v Speaker 5>to gain the upper hand. <v Speaker 2>I really love that. There's a better example coming up, <v Speaker 2>I think, but yeah, here Pokemon. See he like dodged <v Speaker 2>it with the butterfly. <v Speaker 5>The Vivilion dodge incoming, which is the Onyx swap Pokemon. <v Speaker 5>If you need to and find the right moment to <v Speaker 5>unleasha move. <v Speaker 2>It's just really, it's just cool. It just I already <v Speaker 2>talked about it, but it adds a whole new level <v Speaker 2>of strategy. I also like mega evolutions being back mega evolution. <v Speaker 2>I think that is the best, the best like a <v Speaker 2>bonus evolution we've had in a game. And I never <v Speaker 2>really got into like the Crystal Pokemon or the Giganto <v Speaker 2>Max Pokemon. They all got very gimmicky, whereas this was <v Speaker 2>just really cool at the time, maybe because I was younger, <v Speaker 2>but I was like, oh, I can evolve my Charrazad <v Speaker 2>a step further, like going Super Saiyan full go. You <v Speaker 2>can go one step beyond, you know, it's kind of cool. <v Speaker 2>It's very early two thousands. <v Speaker 5>Coded resonates with the megastone held by their Pokemon, the <v Speaker 5>Pokemon will do more than just change shape. It'll unlock <v Speaker 5>a new level of power, turning the tide of battle <v Speaker 5>in its favor. <v Speaker 2>That Charizot is not as big as I thought he <v Speaker 2>would be. Yeah, he was kind of a short king. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I would think that a mega evolution would make <v Speaker 3>it a lot bigger, But I know that like a charge. <v Speaker 3>I think charizars typically are about that size. They're like <v Speaker 3>five feet tall. <v Speaker 2>I think really only five feet tall. <v Speaker 3>I'm pretty sure. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I thought he was a you could ride a <v Speaker 2>charizard in the animal Charsar car? <v Speaker 3>Right there? <v Speaker 1>Is that? <v Speaker 3>Is that an English or Japanese the one? <v Speaker 2>It's in English? <v Speaker 3>What does it say for them? <v Speaker 2>Does it actually tell you that it usually does? <v Speaker 3>Yeah? <v Speaker 2>Why does it say that? <v Speaker 3>Like in the the right beneath? <v Speaker 2>Five foot seven? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, five seven? He's a short can wow. <v Speaker 2>I don't know he was so short. The picture was <v Speaker 2>one foot four, one foot four. <v Speaker 3>That's tiny. <v Speaker 2>That's a foot. It's a foot. Well, it's not that tiny. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>depending on what we're measuring. <v Speaker 3>What we're measuring. <v Speaker 4>In its favor? <v Speaker 2>All right, I think that's pretty much. <v Speaker 5>It can use its transformation into a city that belongs <v Speaker 5>to both people and pokemon. <v Speaker 2>What do we think you can cut away? Because I <v Speaker 2>want to bring up chat too, What do you what <v Speaker 2>do you think I think? <v Speaker 3>I mean I'm unsurprised and still disappointed with how visually <v Speaker 3>unimpressive it is. But at the same time, I do <v Speaker 3>like the new mechanics that we're seeing, and that's enough <v Speaker 3>to make me at least want to play it. I <v Speaker 3>don't know if I want to spend the money to <v Speaker 3>buy it, but I would want to play it, you know. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Chat give me your vibe. You do a poll <v Speaker 2>in chat. What do you want it to be? What <v Speaker 2>should we make it be? Are we do we excited? <v Speaker 2>Just mid or not interested? I guess? <v Speaker 3>Or how about will you buy it? <v Speaker 4>No? <v Speaker 2>Okay, just pokemon za. Are you excited just middle of <v Speaker 2>the road or not not interested? Because I don't want <v Speaker 2>to do what would you buy it? Because I feel <v Speaker 2>like most people are just gonna buy it. Yeah, even <v Speaker 2>if they're not interested, I think that they might actually <v Speaker 2>buy it. My Cinequil was a start of Pokemon in archaeas, <v Speaker 2>along with Oshwart and Raleit. Okay, so they already did CINEQUI. <v Speaker 2>I guess I didn't notice at that point that those <v Speaker 2>weren't the same generation Pokemon. All right, there's a poll <v Speaker 2>up right now if you guys want to vote. My <v Speaker 2>thoughts are I'm excited because I loved Archeus and I <v Speaker 2>want more of Archeus, right, so I'm gonna give this <v Speaker 2>game a shot. I think I'm gonna I think some <v Speaker 2>things that are gonna let it down are the frame <v Speaker 2>rates are gonna bother me. Archeus was definitely more put <v Speaker 2>together than Scarlet and Violet. Scarletand and Violet was bug central. <v Speaker 2>Archeus I rarely had any bugs. It was pretty competent, <v Speaker 2>and it's in that sense, so I'm not expecting too <v Speaker 2>much of that. I think I'm going to be disappointed <v Speaker 2>by the visuals just because game Freak refuses to get help, <v Speaker 2>which is something I've talked about a ton. <v Speaker 4>Uh. <v Speaker 2>Other than that, I'm trying to be I guess I'm <v Speaker 2>trying to be excited. That's where I'm at, trying to <v Speaker 2>be excited. <v Speaker 3>I feel that like it for me, and I know <v Speaker 3>that this is not you know, it's not conducive with <v Speaker 3>like being on a Nintendo podcast, right, but for me, <v Speaker 3>visuals are very important, Like it's it's a key element <v Speaker 3>element to being immersed. <v Speaker 2>When the game looks as bad as this, yes, yes, <v Speaker 2>like you be content with like Breath of the Wild <v Speaker 2>graphics yeah, Well, like Xeno Blake Graphics. <v Speaker 3>I am. I am content with them, but this is <v Speaker 3>is rough and. <v Speaker 2>I wouldn't even blame somebody for not wanting to play <v Speaker 2>the game, even if it's fun, because of how it looks, <v Speaker 2>because for some people that's a bare minimum. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. There's not much else to say <v Speaker 3>about I just it's important to me that it looks good. <v Speaker 2>So I actually know, I feel like I'm kind of <v Speaker 2>like excited about it right now because I've seen it <v Speaker 2>and the new battling mechanic is interesting. But other than that, <v Speaker 2>there was nothing new in this now, if I'm really <v Speaker 2>being critical. Other than the new battling mechanic they added, <v Speaker 2>it's literally exactly what we expected. Nothing's really different. They <v Speaker 2>didn't add anything. We didn't even get any Ham sandwiches <v Speaker 2>in this one of but Ham sandwiches were a big <v Speaker 2>deal in stolet and violence. And it seems like it's <v Speaker 2>downscaled in the sense that it is just in one city, <v Speaker 2>and the city does not look that big. I mean, <v Speaker 2>there is the rooftops, which double it, I guess. So <v Speaker 2>I don't know if we saw anything today that we <v Speaker 2>couldn't just expect from what we were told months ago <v Speaker 2>there's like a metro that could be cool. A subway, yeah, <v Speaker 2>but it'd be a cutscene, you think. So if you're <v Speaker 2>taking a train in the game. <v Speaker 3>Oh, I'm not talking about taking a train. I'm talking <v Speaker 3>about being in like the trade stations and stuff, you know. <v Speaker 2>I think if there's any I think there's any it <v Speaker 2>would be cool to have an underground I agree. If <v Speaker 2>there's any kind of underground and train system, they'll probably <v Speaker 2>do it behind a jpeg. Just like in Scarlet and <v Speaker 2>Violet when you would eat an ice cream, you would <v Speaker 2>eat a jpeg of an ice cream. <v Speaker 3>Right, yeah. Yeah. And if it's anything like Paris, maybe <v Speaker 3>it's got some like Hodi catacombs, right, maybe so we <v Speaker 3>can like find some weird old dead Pokemon in it <v Speaker 3>or something like that. <v Speaker 2>I think I'll have to wait and see what new <v Speaker 2>Pokemon looks like and make my mind up from there. <v Speaker 2>I don't think there will be any new Pokemon. I <v Speaker 2>think this. I think the Legend series is all the <v Speaker 2>same Pokemon. Please let this be a Zelda situation. <v Speaker 1>The deep. <v Speaker 2>Cody someone said exactly, Cody would just sounds jaded. I'm <v Speaker 2>trying to be so positive, right, now, but let me <v Speaker 2>see what Cody said. I just weird. <v Speaker 3>No, hold on, I'm sorry many there's many times where <v Speaker 3>I would be happy to accuse you of being jaded. Okay, <v Speaker 3>but I think that we're all on the same page <v Speaker 3>about this. At the pole has forty one percent of <v Speaker 3>people saying it's mid So are we all jaded? I <v Speaker 3>don't understand. And you said you're You even said you're excited. <v Speaker 3>If you were to vote in that poll, you would <v Speaker 3>have said excited. <v Speaker 2>I'm excited, but I'm definitely jaded. Yeah, I'm sorry you <v Speaker 2>are jaded. No, I think I gotta be honest. I <v Speaker 2>think if you are a Pokemon fan and you're not <v Speaker 2>jaded at this point, yes, you've got a little bit <v Speaker 2>too much of Pokemon up your butt. <v Speaker 3>I think I was more. I was more defending the <v Speaker 3>fact that you're not like, you know, you're not approaching <v Speaker 3>this in poor taste. <v Speaker 2>I'll say this honestly, and I'm not trying to upset <v Speaker 2>anyone's feelings. If you are an honest Pokemon fan, like <v Speaker 2>you're a fan of Pokemon and you're not jaded by <v Speaker 2>them at this point, and you're not expecting more, I <v Speaker 2>don't think you're as big of a Pokemon fan as <v Speaker 2>you think. I think you're a pretty casual fan if <v Speaker 2>you're not asking for more or expecting more, or wanting <v Speaker 2>more than what Pokemon has been giving us in their <v Speaker 2>main series, and you're content with how they are. Uh, <v Speaker 2>I don't know if you're the level of Pokemon fan <v Speaker 2>that I am, and I'm not even that match of <v Speaker 2>a fan. <v Speaker 3>I kind of disagree. Actually, I think that people who <v Speaker 3>are content with this are super fans because they'll just <v Speaker 3>be happy with any Pokemon stuff that gets fed to them. <v Speaker 3>I think that they're bad consumers, is what they are, <v Speaker 3>you know. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. Maybe it's a little from Colum, a <v Speaker 2>little from columb maybe a little bit of both. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>because I feel like like casual Pokemon fans like that <v Speaker 2>aren't really into Pokemon but want to give it a shot. <v Speaker 2>If they picked it up and they saw what it <v Speaker 2>looked like, they would probably just not play it. <v Speaker 3>Super chat from CS for five euros, thank you, says, <v Speaker 3>Please take a look at the Pokemon website. It has <v Speaker 3>a map of the city and other cool stuff. Also, <v Speaker 3>Champions will be huge for competitive. <v Speaker 2>I'll have to believe you on Champions because I'm pretty <v Speaker 2>sure it's a mobile game. <v Speaker 3>Can I see the map? I love? I love a <v Speaker 3>good map. I'm a big map fan. <v Speaker 2>Let me try and find it. <v Speaker 3>Let's call it geography. They said the Pokemon website. <v Speaker 2>I don't know mookem on website. I'll just type in <v Speaker 2>Pokemon website. Then, okay, is the is the Pokemon Champions thing? <v Speaker 2>Not just an app on on mobile? <v Speaker 3>Is it not? <v Speaker 2>It's not coming to console, is it? I might have <v Speaker 2>missed that. If it's coming to console, it's not on <v Speaker 2>the website, not immediately, So I don't know how to <v Speaker 2>find that. Pokemon Legends map z z a map six <v Speaker 2>hours ago on a Reddit. Reddit's got me. Oh, this <v Speaker 2>is not a This is not a good map. You <v Speaker 2>can show it, but it's not going to give you <v Speaker 2>much of an idea. <v Speaker 3>Oh it's like a cartoony map. I don't like that. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, no, this is giving me absolutely nothing. <v Speaker 4>But it does. <v Speaker 2>It does look to me. <v Speaker 3>It's literally an amusement park. <v Speaker 2>It's an amusement pug map. To me, this looks small. <v Speaker 2>If if I'm being honest, this looks like I could <v Speaker 2>walk around this city in a game in a day, right, <v Speaker 2>I mean, maybe I'm crazy for that. <v Speaker 3>But also zero gifted subs before when they super chat <v Speaker 3>had said about the language, the written language of being, <v Speaker 3>I think it looks stupid. <v Speaker 2>I don't really care about that. I'm not even looking <v Speaker 2>at that. All right, let me pull away, let me <v Speaker 2>go back to the chat here. <v Speaker 3>Yes, and while you're doing that, we also had a <v Speaker 3>five euro five dollars super chat from x dot. Matt said, <v Speaker 3>I wonder if they showed footage from the switch from <v Speaker 3>the switch and not from the switch to because of <v Speaker 3>Nintendo not allowing switch to stuff yet. <v Speaker 2>Someone said, that's not the map he's talking about. But <v Speaker 2>every there's like a couple links here, and every map <v Speaker 2>is that map. So if there's a different map. <v Speaker 3>Help us with a like like a link in chat, <v Speaker 3>like a non working link that like take the dot <v Speaker 3>out of it. <v Speaker 2>The map is higher res than the game. That's funny, <v Speaker 2>that's that's unfortunate. Champions. I cannot scroll up with this man. <v Speaker 2>So Champion looks fun. But you know that advert trolled <v Speaker 2>us all into wanting old games. They won't give us <v Speaker 2>classic collection. Okay, well, let's go back and watch that <v Speaker 2>and then we'll just Champions is on console. The trailer <v Speaker 2>is dope. Yeah, I think that I saw the trailer. <v Speaker 2>I think the trailer is tricking you a little bit. <v Speaker 2>But let me pull it back and we'll watch this <v Speaker 2>whole trailer. I think they're preying on your nostalgia a <v Speaker 2>bit here, but let's watch. So we got the game <v Speaker 2>Boy Original game Boys playing Pokemon with the link cable. Well, <v Speaker 2>that kid is sweating, sweating, sweating playing the game Boy. <v Speaker 3>It's a turn based game. <v Speaker 4>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>And then Pokemon Stadium, so obviously they're leaning into this. <v Speaker 2>This is like Pokemon Stadium. Yeah, and then Game Boy <v Speaker 2>Advance with link cables. U we the we Pokemon Stadium. <v Speaker 2>I suppose the DS Pokemon Stadium. I didn't know there <v Speaker 2>was one. I think it might just be Pokemon games <v Speaker 2>at this point. And then on a phone, it it <v Speaker 2>all comes together on a phone. You guys have phones, right, <v Speaker 2>You guys have phones right. See, I mean it looks <v Speaker 2>like Pokemon Stadium. The fact that it's on a phone though, <v Speaker 2>is not giving me much confidence. And maybe I'm crazy <v Speaker 2>for that platform it is on. It is on platform too, <v Speaker 2>but like so is like Unite and Unite on Switch <v Speaker 2>feels like a mobile game, right that you're playing on <v Speaker 2>the concept. I'm just I'm a little wary when it <v Speaker 2>when it is also for mobile, because you know it <v Speaker 2>that means it's free with micro transactions, so you know, <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 3>Swings around it ups. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, oh he still sweat everyone sweating. You've went in <v Speaker 2>so much. Yeah, I gotta be honest. Everybody that's saying <v Speaker 2>like this is looking awesome, you can't tell yet. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, we don't know. <v Speaker 2>What all they've done here is they've massively preyed on <v Speaker 2>our nostalgia for this idea and then shown us a <v Speaker 2>out of engine rendered gameplay in an actual stadium with <v Speaker 2>people like I don't know if you guys, And Pokemon <v Speaker 2>Go is a great game. It's fun. But if you <v Speaker 2>remember the original launch trailer for Pokemon Go, where people <v Speaker 2>were walking around cities and they were like real Pokemon <v Speaker 2>and they were seeing them in the real world, and <v Speaker 2>it's like, I mean, I guess that kind of representing <v Speaker 2>what the game is going to look like. But end <v Speaker 2>of the day, it's like little guys on a map, <v Speaker 2>you know it. It's not it's not that we're not <v Speaker 2>actually looking at the game right now. It's what I'm saying, I. <v Speaker 3>Don't know if that's the best example though, because you <v Speaker 3>did see them in ar so that is kind of <v Speaker 3>what they. <v Speaker 2>Were going for there, right, Sure, I don't think. I <v Speaker 2>don't know. If you know the trailer I'm talking about, <v Speaker 2>I don't where it's like super high action and they're <v Speaker 2>like battling in the city. <v Speaker 3>And it's like this, Yeah, it's like, well it's bullshit. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't doubt that there will be two Pokemon <v Speaker 2>standing across from each other battling, but we don't know <v Speaker 2>the in depth complexity of the battle system, or like <v Speaker 2>if it's paid to win like Unite was when it released. <v Speaker 2>Call me jaded, I mean I am because I have <v Speaker 2>seen Nintendo and Pokemon release these apps on the mobile store, <v Speaker 2>even the new TCG app. I feel like it's so <v Speaker 2>micro transaction heavy, and I really feel like they stop <v Speaker 2>giving you good cards if you're not paying. <v Speaker 3>Do you think so? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? I do really think so. <v Speaker 3>People love that game too. <v Speaker 2>I mean, I'm pretty addicted to it, but even I <v Speaker 2>feel like the money side of it all affects the <v Speaker 2>gameplay experience. <v Speaker 1>Is carrying out the planning for this project while development <v Speaker 1>is being handled by the Pokemon Works and Pokemon Champions <v Speaker 1>will be coming not only to the Nintendo Switch family <v Speaker 1>of systems, but to mobile devices too, family able to <v Speaker 1>choose how you want to play based on where you are. <v Speaker 2>What's more, it also interacts with Home, so you can <v Speaker 2>transfer your Pokemon from Goal and Scarlet and Violet into <v Speaker 2>Home and into Champions, which is interesting. I just wish <v Speaker 2>they had shown Pokemon game, the game and how the <v Speaker 2>game works a bit more. <v Speaker 1>Pokemon trainers from all corners of the world. <v Speaker 3>So when is this happening? <v Speaker 2>I don't know. It's so long and they talk so much. <v Speaker 3>Why they why they voice over the Japanese guy, another <v Speaker 3>Spanish guy. <v Speaker 2>I don't know Chat. I want to know when that's <v Speaker 2>coming out? All right, you can cut back, so I <v Speaker 2>want to see chat. Anyone know when that's coming out? <v Speaker 2>I gotta wait for Chat to catch up. It always <v Speaker 2>take a minute. Did they already cover the extended look <v Speaker 2>at Pokemon Za on the Pokemon you tent you? I <v Speaker 2>don't know. I don't know I did that. That's what <v Speaker 2>I looked at today in my main video was the <v Speaker 2>separate thing. I honestly hope it's just normal term based <v Speaker 2>Pokemon for this one, not weird tapping phone crap, and <v Speaker 2>that's the thing. We don't know idea, we don't know <v Speaker 2>how it plays because like with mobile games, and look <v Speaker 2>at their mentality with Pokemon TCG, they streamlined everything. They <v Speaker 2>streamlined the battling so that it would be easier to battle. <v Speaker 2>They streamlined everything because everything is retention now, everything is <v Speaker 2>how quickly can you get in and out of things? <v Speaker 2>And how can we get people to stay on the app? <v Speaker 2>And people having long drawn out sixteen Pokemon where they're <v Speaker 2>doing move after move after move on a mobile game <v Speaker 2>where people are expected to play this on the toilet <v Speaker 2>or in a waiting room or something like that, they're <v Speaker 2>gonna want to speed this up. They don't want people <v Speaker 2>disconnecting from battles. They're gonna if it's a mobile game, <v Speaker 2>that's going to affect how the game is played one <v Speaker 2>hundred percent. It's gonna be quick, it's going to be streamlined. <v Speaker 2>I think at most you're gonna get two v two battles. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if you're gonna have many more, maybe <v Speaker 2>one Pokemon on retainer that you can you can switch in. <v Speaker 2>I don't think we're getting the full Pokemon Stadium experience <v Speaker 2>with the mini games that we used to have and <v Speaker 2>like a whole battle tag like I don't know, I <v Speaker 2>don't know what I'm just saying. The mobile game of <v Speaker 2>it all is gonna make it quick, streamlined, and introduce <v Speaker 2>micro transactions. And for me who grew up with the <v Speaker 2>original games, if you're gonna pray to my nostalgia and <v Speaker 2>pray to what it was like playing games back then <v Speaker 2>and playing Pokemon Stadium back then, that's what I want now, <v Speaker 2>And that's what you're setting me up for now. And <v Speaker 2>I sorry if I sound jaded. I just highly doubt <v Speaker 2>that's what we're getting. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, I think that there's I mean, like to <v Speaker 3>go off what you said right that, Like, the retention <v Speaker 3>is obviously something that they're trying to focus on, because <v Speaker 3>if you look at like how battling works in the <v Speaker 3>new TCG Pocket Game, they've vastly simplified how that works <v Speaker 3>compared to like how the actual TCG works. So that's <v Speaker 3>one thing. Also battling, if battling in this is anything <v Speaker 3>like battling in Pokemon Go, so many people are gonna <v Speaker 3>be out so quick because I feel like battling in <v Speaker 3>Pokemon Go, maybe I'm like alone in this is so stupid. <v Speaker 3>The fact that the fact that they have championships for <v Speaker 3>that shit doesn't make any Like you got two guys <v Speaker 3>sitting across from sure that at a table just tapping <v Speaker 3>away at their phones. <v Speaker 2>Really, it just doesn't mean. I'm highly doubt that's how <v Speaker 2>you'll interact with it here. But I don't know if <v Speaker 2>they'll be like a different way of interacting with it. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. Someone said, it's not it's not cool <v Speaker 2>Pokemon Stadium. No, I know, but that's what they're trying <v Speaker 2>to put across by showing all the old link cables <v Speaker 2>and people playing Pokemon Stadium and now it's two Pokemon <v Speaker 2>finding each other in a stadium. They're trying to pray <v Speaker 2>off of that. But if it was that, like they're <v Speaker 2>kind of leaning towards in the nostalgia clips, they would <v Speaker 2>call it Pokemon Stadium. But it's not. It's Pokemon Champions. <v Speaker 2>And someone else said Pokemon Unite matches aren't exactly short. <v Speaker 2>Pokemon Unite matches are about ten minutes long, which for <v Speaker 2>a mobile game. Molba game is really short, like Legua <v Speaker 2>Legends and Doda matches forty five to twenty hour those games. <v Speaker 2>Go Unite is like a like a brief there's in <v Speaker 2>Doda you can do quick play and or quick matches <v Speaker 2>or something, and those can sometimes be ten minutes, but <v Speaker 2>more often than not fifteen twenty. And Unite's even quicker <v Speaker 2>than that. Like when I play Unite, it's fun, but <v Speaker 2>I had to stop playing it because right when Unite <v Speaker 2>would get good, right when you finally leveled up and <v Speaker 2>you've got all your abilities and you're starting to get <v Speaker 2>fed and reckon the game, the game ends, like right <v Speaker 2>at the good spot of any other mobile is when <v Speaker 2>Unite ends. Because it's so quick. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, Unit Unit, it doesn't. It doesn't cater to the <v Speaker 3>to the toilet gamer like you said before, right, and this, <v Speaker 3>I feel like this, this Champions thing is probably gonna <v Speaker 3>cater more to the toilet gamer. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Uh, Poken isn't really Pokemon. It's a beat them up. <v Speaker 2>This is not Polkin tournament. I'm just reading comments. They <v Speaker 2>specifically showed double battles, yes they did. <v Speaker 4>Uh. <v Speaker 2>I hate the whole micro transaction scene. There is no <v Speaker 2>game in the app Store that doesn't have them, or <v Speaker 2>at least possibility to buy. <v Speaker 4>No. <v Speaker 2>A thousand percent this game will have micro transactions, which <v Speaker 2>again it's just for me, is like, that's not when <v Speaker 2>I think of a game that has longevity that I'm <v Speaker 2>going to enjoy and sit down and play on my console, <v Speaker 2>that game does not have micro transactions, not in the <v Speaker 2>sense of like anything pay to win or anything that <v Speaker 2>the other Pokemon games have introduced, because like Pokemon TCG, <v Speaker 2>you can pay to get more and to speed things <v Speaker 2>up and get quicker. Now, other than like battling people, <v Speaker 2>you're not really getting an advantage other than getting the <v Speaker 2>cool cards quicker or more cards quicker. It's not really <v Speaker 2>that dire. In Unite, there was pay to win elements <v Speaker 2>when it first came out. In Pokemon Go, you can <v Speaker 2>pay to hatch Pokemon quicker. You can pay to do <v Speaker 2>a lot of things quicker. So again, it's just not <v Speaker 2>for me. It's not an enjoyable experience. <v Speaker 3>Isn't It doesn't feel like it's a game to me anymore. <v Speaker 2>No, it feels like a mobile game. <v Speaker 3>No, it doesn't even feel like a mobile game. It's <v Speaker 3>just like, I feel like calling this a game is <v Speaker 3>almost disingenuous, right, because it feels like they're sort of <v Speaker 3>like building this Pokemon Online Web three esque ecosystem for <v Speaker 3>Pokemon now where it's like you've got your Pokemon and <v Speaker 3>go and then you can move it into Champions this <v Speaker 3>and that. It just it feels like it's like we're <v Speaker 3>just collecting stuff in an virtual space at this point, <v Speaker 3>and it's not really a game anymore. It's more just like, <v Speaker 3>look at all this fancy shit that I have. You know, Okay, <v Speaker 3>That's how I feel about it. <v Speaker 5>You know. <v Speaker 3>If if everyone's gonna get accused of being jaded. <v Speaker 2>Let it be me. I like the home idea, if <v Speaker 2>this was like stadium. Kim and I talked about this recently, <v Speaker 2>but one of the coolest things for me as a <v Speaker 2>kid was taking my sprites from my game Boy Color <v Speaker 2>games and putting them into stadium and seeing my Pokemon <v Speaker 2>in full. That's something they've been doing since, like I <v Speaker 2>was a kid. So the idea of having a stadium <v Speaker 2>like game where I could take a Pokemon I've trained <v Speaker 2>up in Scotland and Violet and battle it against somebody. <v Speaker 2>Although I could just do that in Scotland and Violet <v Speaker 2>I think I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure you <v Speaker 2>can't just battle someone in Scotland and Violet. It's still cool. <v Speaker 2>I like the concept, but yeah, I guess we'll have <v Speaker 2>to see. We'll have to see, right, because we don't know. <v Speaker 2>Maybe this game is like a Unicorn mobile game that <v Speaker 2>has no micro transactions and is a fully fledged Pokemon <v Speaker 2>Stadium style game, and I'll love it and I'll be <v Speaker 2>addicted to it. <v Speaker 4>Right. <v Speaker 2>I just can't think of a mobile crossover game that <v Speaker 2>has captured me that same way yet. Maybe this will <v Speaker 2>be the first time, hopefully. Is there a game that's <v Speaker 2>on consoles that's also on mobile that has really other <v Speaker 2>than games that have gone to mobile eventually, like gensch <v Speaker 2>An Impact went to mobile eventually, even that's micro transaction heavy, <v Speaker 2>but that's a really popular one. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I'm trying to think what mobile to console crossover game <v Speaker 2>from day one has actually been successful. <v Speaker 3>Let me tell you about the Gospel of a little <v Speaker 3>game called Roadblocks. <v Speaker 2>Was that mobile the same day? <v Speaker 3>I don't know if it's same day, but it's it's <v Speaker 3>I would say all probably kids are widely playing it <v Speaker 3>on their iPads right, Like, it's very mobile focused, I <v Speaker 3>think for kids. <v Speaker 2>So Bilatro Bilatro, Uh, Sure, a lot of indie games, <v Speaker 2>but Bilatro is no, that doesn't count because that was <v Speaker 2>like ten dollars and it had no micro transactions. I agree, <v Speaker 2>that was just an indie game that came out on mobile. <v Speaker 3>Well, I play a little game called Majong Soul and <v Speaker 3>that's cross platform day one, and I love it. <v Speaker 2>So Pokemon Champions is a sixty dollars game on mobile. <v Speaker 3>You think, no way, bro, no shot, no shot. <v Speaker 2>If it's a sixty dollar game, I will eat all <v Speaker 2>of my words because then it won't have micro transactions. <v Speaker 3>Mmmm no, I mean I wouldn't put it pat well, <v Speaker 3>I think Pokemon would do that, but I wouldn't put <v Speaker 3>it past some companies to do that. <v Speaker 2>All right, let's keep going through some of the I mean, honestly, <v Speaker 2>there's nothing else to go through. If we're being real, <v Speaker 2>you can cut to me. I'll just skim through it. <v Speaker 2>They're doing new episodes of Pokemon Concierge, which that was <v Speaker 2>a really great show. If you haven't seen it, it's <v Speaker 2>all stop motion. Yeah, Kim and I loved it, very heartfelt. <v Speaker 3>Meo. <v Speaker 2>That's coming in September. There's DC for Pokemon Unite. There <v Speaker 2>are other mobile game there's updates to the trading card <v Speaker 2>game of some kind. Uh huh, new set, no idea, okay, <v Speaker 2>and then that's it. It's the whole thing. Yeah, well <v Speaker 2>do you actually care about this? <v Speaker 4>No? <v Speaker 2>I don't not really? No, okay, all right, cutaway. <v Speaker 3>And uh I. <v Speaker 2>One more Pokemon themed thing that they didn't put into <v Speaker 2>that presence that I thought was pretty cool is this. <v Speaker 2>Pokemon and Honda have teamed up together to make a <v Speaker 2>Pokemon scarlet and violet motor bike. <v Speaker 3>I feel like this is pretty cool. <v Speaker 2>Sick actually, I don't know why this wasn't in the <v Speaker 2>event Underpower Your Dreams. It's literally a cride on whatever <v Speaker 2>it's called. I believed Honda you co ride. Is that <v Speaker 2>what they called it? Coride On because you can ride on. <v Speaker 3>I don't think that's why they called it that, But <v Speaker 3>making that joke not about riding a Honda, but about <v Speaker 3>riding something else. <v Speaker 2>I don't understand. This can't be what the bike looks like, <v Speaker 2>because it's got spikes on the wheels, for one, and <v Speaker 2>this is clearly like a three D model. Maybe like <v Speaker 2>maybe there's like little there's wheels, I know what it is. <v Speaker 2>There's wheels inside. This is a casing. Yeah, there's wheels inside, <v Speaker 2>and there's probably like a part here that touches the floor. <v Speaker 2>I was I was picturing those like giant wheels, the <v Speaker 2>whole thing spinning. Yeah, yeah, and definitely not. I I <v Speaker 2>don't know how much that's gonna cost. <v Speaker 3>You go to the frame of it, the whole thing <v Speaker 3>in in view. <v Speaker 2>Again, I don't know how much that's gonna cost. But <v Speaker 2>I want one. You ever see you ever see it <v Speaker 2>like a like a mall and they have those like <v Speaker 2>those like things kids around you back and forth. <v Speaker 3>No, no, it doesn't rock you back. I'm talking about <v Speaker 3>like they actually have those things on wheels at malls <v Speaker 3>now where you could pay to like let your kid <v Speaker 3>ride on it and it goes around like one mile <v Speaker 3>an hour. Kind of reminds me of that. <v Speaker 2>It does look very silly, kind of silly. I want it. <v Speaker 2>It's cool. It's yeah, cool, Yeah, I want it. Okay, okay, <v Speaker 2>all right. <v Speaker 3>Not a super chat from Monado, Max ten dollars thinks <v Speaker 3>so much. <v Speaker 2>Just got here. <v Speaker 3>So you might have talked about this already. But that <v Speaker 3>Shovel Night concert was incredible. Uh didn't get a chance <v Speaker 3>to say hello at the concert, but that event was amazing. <v Speaker 3>Oh you were there, Oh you were them? Well why <v Speaker 3>didn't you say hello? <v Speaker 2>Did you see me? We can talk about that, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>so quickly. <v Speaker 3>I wasn't there distinct lack of an invite even though <v Speaker 3>it's in my city, but. <v Speaker 2>Hey, we didn't want to get COVID. <v Speaker 3>I didn't have COVID. <v Speaker 2>So last weekend, Bob, Hannah, Kim, e, Erica, and I <v Speaker 2>as pictured here, as you can see, all went to <v Speaker 2>the Shava Knight concert. Big shout out to Celia from <v Speaker 2>your club games for inviting us and sitting us all <v Speaker 2>together too. Bob looks absolutely insane in this picture. By <v Speaker 2>the way, in this picture, yeah, I can't zoom in anymore, <v Speaker 2>but you get the idea I do. It was really cool, <v Speaker 2>really great time. So I expected when we heard we're <v Speaker 2>going to Shove Night Live concert, I expected it to <v Speaker 2>be like an orchestra or something, but it ended up <v Speaker 2>being just like a band, which is pretty cool. Felt <v Speaker 2>more like it felt more indie. So here I have <v Speaker 2>a little bit of it. They timed a lot of <v Speaker 2>it up to the gameplay too, which was nice. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, can I can I tell you? Can I tell <v Speaker 3>you something? Straight up? Dude? What's that one of my <v Speaker 3>are you done showing this up back? One of my <v Speaker 3>one of my like all time, I guess bucket list <v Speaker 3>things to do and if anybody ever here's one happening <v Speaker 3>in New York City, please tell me and hit me <v Speaker 3>up or just in the in the local area. I <v Speaker 3>want to play Mario Kart while they're like playing the <v Speaker 3>music on stage. You know, you ever seen something like that. <v Speaker 2>There's a place you can go for that. <v Speaker 3>I would love to do that. <v Speaker 2>Oh my god, sure that's an actual thing. Yeah, no, <v Speaker 2>it is. <v Speaker 3>It's a thing and I've seen plenty of videos of <v Speaker 3>it and I would love. <v Speaker 5>To do that. <v Speaker 2>You should do it maybe. So yeah. Anyway, thank you <v Speaker 2>Celia for the invite. It was a lot of fun <v Speaker 2>and we it was like an hour and a half too, <v Speaker 2>and they were the main guy. He's from the Big <v Speaker 2>a bit Big band or something. He has another band <v Speaker 2>where he does this kind of stuff. And we went <v Speaker 2>out for dinner as well, which is really nice. We <v Speaker 2>just spent a night out in New York. So that <v Speaker 2>was fun. It was a good time. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, cool, love it. <v Speaker 2>How long have we been live? <v Speaker 3>Uh? Fifty seven minutes and fifty nine seconds. <v Speaker 2>Speaking of the baby, do we get the baby to <v Speaker 2>do this? Do you think Max sent me this? Yes? <v Speaker 3>But Max also said in his message, if I recall <v Speaker 3>that you could do this if you want to exploit <v Speaker 3>your baby for views. <v Speaker 2>It's not really exploiting, no, I guess not when he's <v Speaker 2>a baby too, Like I don't. We don't know how <v Speaker 2>much we want to show him more at all. We <v Speaker 2>haven't decided that at all. But when he's like a <v Speaker 2>baby baby or babies look the same. Yeah, I'm not <v Speaker 2>really too worried about it when he's like a baby baby. <v Speaker 2>But like you know, this is just like a cute, <v Speaker 2>little fun thing. Yeah, you can't even see this baby's face. Really, <v Speaker 2>you're kind of right though, Actually, now that I think <v Speaker 2>about it all, they say we've seen three babies now <v Speaker 2>that it'll be the same. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, I couldn't. Couldn't distinguish them, couldn't pick one <v Speaker 3>out in the lineup. <v Speaker 2>I don't know why you would ever have a lineup <v Speaker 2>a baby? You have a pick? So where were you <v Speaker 2>on the morning February third? This is cute, I see. <v Speaker 2>Mostly I want to do it because they want to <v Speaker 2>know what he would pick. This one's already walking. This <v Speaker 2>one decided a long time ago, of course, Charmander. I <v Speaker 2>feel like Charmmnder is a good go to for babies. <v Speaker 2>Because he's so bright. He's like bright orange, and the <v Speaker 2>other two are both blue and kind of blend in. Sorry, <v Speaker 2>I'm just watching all these babies now. He's already dressed <v Speaker 2>as Pikachu. He's cheating. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, he'd biased. <v Speaker 2>Should we do that? Yeah? Your Nate poland Chap. I <v Speaker 2>don't think you need a yes or no? Should we <v Speaker 2>do that with the baby? Yes or no? Should? <v Speaker 3>I think I'll make the pole though, let me and <v Speaker 3>the By the way, the last poll was forty four <v Speaker 3>percent excited, forty and thirteen percent not for me. <v Speaker 2>Thank you for that. Also, guys, after this episode today, <v Speaker 2>if you haven't already watched my my reaction on beat <v Speaker 2>Him upside, appreciate it. If you go over and we <v Speaker 2>uh go watch that. I apologize if I seem a <v Speaker 2>little tired today. I've already filmed that video and done <v Speaker 2>two thumbnails and a little time. I'm a little tired. <v Speaker 2>I was up late last night. Yes, yes, I should, <v Speaker 2>only if you do old the starters. What do you <v Speaker 2>mean all the No, it's got to be it's got <v Speaker 2>to be the original three yea, hands down. I like <v Speaker 2>how you said she would we make the baby pic <v Speaker 2>Astata almost like it's our baby. Should we make the baby. <v Speaker 3>I don't know. You will tell you five dollars Canadian <v Speaker 3>money from the funny man, says, I feel and hope <v Speaker 3>the reason it looks bad. <v Speaker 2>Because the reason than it just looks bad, yeah, is because. <v Speaker 3>It's being built mainly for switch to. But they're not <v Speaker 3>allowed to show any films now discussed. <v Speaker 2>I hate to tell you that's not the case. They <v Speaker 2>just can't make a game game. But I appreciate the hopefulness. <v Speaker 3>Game Freak is wildly incompetent, so they're really incompetent. <v Speaker 2>I have a few things to go over, but we <v Speaker 2>can save them for the bonus episode. I just want <v Speaker 2>to let you guys know what we're going to look at. <v Speaker 2>There's some talk about a new Mario and Rabids game, <v Speaker 2>but also the creator that game being upset at you bestoft. <v Speaker 2>There's a Xeno Blade overview trailer I wanted to look at, <v Speaker 2>and a couple other fun things that I wanted to <v Speaker 2>look at. But I want to get that voicemail before <v Speaker 2>we leave. <v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, let me let me pull it up. You <v Speaker 3>talk to chat, okay, I'll I'll put your lower third up. <v Speaker 3>Just say things. Okay, wait, what just putting your lower <v Speaker 3>third up. You don't got to do that. Why not <v Speaker 3>wood in hand? <v Speaker 2>Baby? What are you planning to go to PACs East? <v Speaker 2>I've already talked about this. It depends on the baby. <v Speaker 2>It depends when the baby comes. We have no idea <v Speaker 2>baby will be like nine months. But yes, I don't <v Speaker 2>know what that means. They need Monolith. I don't know <v Speaker 2>why they're the own the game studio that's refusing to <v Speaker 2>get help from Monolith. One oflith has helped with Zelda, <v Speaker 2>They've helped with everything like that. They Nintendo have now <v Speaker 2>acquired them in that back pocket. I don't know why. <v Speaker 2>I don't know why game it doesn't make any sense <v Speaker 2>to me. That's so stubborn. <v Speaker 3>Are you ready? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 3>It should it should work. <v Speaker 2>I would. <v Speaker 4>This is Tyler, big fan of the show. Hope you <v Speaker 4>get that one hundred thousand for that play button congrasts <v Speaker 4>from the baby, Thank you, thank you for that. I <v Speaker 4>am thinking that there's a possibility for a casting option <v Speaker 4>for this switch too, not a second stream, but the <v Speaker 4>option to take it. But then you have some capability <v Speaker 4>to play it on the TV and on the switch <v Speaker 4>device while you're holding it, so you'll almost have like <v Speaker 4>the switch to but better? What are your thoughts? Thank you? <v Speaker 2>I don't understand what do you mean the switch too bad? <v Speaker 3>His I think what he meant to say was the <v Speaker 3>we the we. <v Speaker 2>U oh the YouTube but better? That that last bit <v Speaker 2>through me that that's an idea that I had in <v Speaker 2>my video. I put out that idea in my switch <v Speaker 2>to like whatever video that I made. I don't even <v Speaker 2>remember what video it was in. Yeah, now I think <v Speaker 2>that you'd be casting to the dock or yeah. It <v Speaker 2>came from the idea of the console having a C <v Speaker 2>button and me thinking maybe that meant cast. The only <v Speaker 2>thing I could think of for like, why would you <v Speaker 2>have a dedicated button that says cast is if you <v Speaker 2>could cast directly to the TV, And the best way <v Speaker 2>to do that would be to go through the dock <v Speaker 2>and use it like a like a Stadia dongle almost <v Speaker 2>and just stream your game of the TV. <v Speaker 3>So can I can I say something, by the way about. <v Speaker 2>Thanks for the voicemail? <v Speaker 3>Than you can? I can I say something, by the <v Speaker 3>way about the dual screen concept? What so if Nintendo <v Speaker 3>makes if they do the dual screen thing as is <v Speaker 3>described in that image that we were all looking in <v Speaker 3>that video, I will get an embarrassing Pokemon tattoo or something. <v Speaker 3>There is no possible way that that happens. I don't <v Speaker 3>see that. There's no way. Okay, I just it would <v Speaker 3>be so wobbly. There's just no way. It would be awful. <v Speaker 3>What do you mean wobbly? <v Speaker 2>Have you looked? <v Speaker 3>You gotta look at the image again, dude. I just <v Speaker 3>it would just be wobbling all over the place, it would, <v Speaker 3>I know. But that's what I'm saying. People think that <v Speaker 3>this thing can like actually happen. It can't. There's no <v Speaker 3>way it could have. <v Speaker 2>Absolutely a way it would issue. Is you think it <v Speaker 2>would be wobbly? Yes, it would be so wobbly. There's <v Speaker 2>no way this would work, dude. Like I'm telling you <v Speaker 2>right now, the laws of physics do not allow this. <v Speaker 2>That's why are you baffled by this. I'm so confident <v Speaker 2>that this is that would not work. I don't know <v Speaker 2>what to say. <v Speaker 4>I don't know. <v Speaker 2>I don't even know how to begin. <v Speaker 3>Well, do you have insider information that I don't know? <v Speaker 3>Because I'm telling you right now that you think. <v Speaker 2>There is absolutely no way that Nintendo could design a <v Speaker 2>screen that sits on top of an already rigid screen. <v Speaker 3>Could they would be design it? Could they design it? Yes? <v Speaker 3>Could they design it in a way that it wouldn't <v Speaker 3>be wobbly? I don't think so, Like it would the <v Speaker 3>only way that they could do it. If it was, <v Speaker 3>it would have to be in case to go get <v Speaker 3>a three D that's a that's a okay, I'm glad <v Speaker 3>you brought that up. Okay, there's just no way because <v Speaker 3>like a three DS is its own system, right, Okay, <v Speaker 3>So the whole thing hinges on the bottom, like if <v Speaker 3>you have something that attaches to it. <v Speaker 2>Huh, it's it would have to in case it would <v Speaker 2>have an entire thing. No, it would just have to <v Speaker 2>clip onto the top. No, it wouldn't. <v Speaker 3>If it clipped on the top, it would be wobbly. No, <v Speaker 3>if it clipped on the top of you. I'm telling <v Speaker 3>you right now, there's no way. I'm I'm I'm so <v Speaker 3>sure of this three D printed Okay, I'm telling you <v Speaker 3>right now, there's no way. <v Speaker 2>So in I believe is it Switzerland, they have a <v Speaker 2>had drawn collider. It's sixteen miles long. Yeah, and the <v Speaker 2>whole thing works together in all its little intricate pieces <v Speaker 2>to spin around. So quickly, it can split an atom. <v Speaker 2>You don't think there's another human on earth that could <v Speaker 2>design a top screen that wouldn't be wobbly on top <v Speaker 2>of a switch. <v Speaker 3>I don't think that you could design it in such <v Speaker 3>a way that it wouldn't be wobbly unless it encase <v Speaker 3>the entire system. <v Speaker 2>One, who's to say that wouldn't be the case? Two? <v Speaker 2>Absolutely you could without question. <v Speaker 3>This, this has to This has yet to be determined then, <v Speaker 3>because I just don't. I do not see it. I <v Speaker 3>don't see any humanly possible way that this could happen <v Speaker 3>that your brain so it would have to it would <v Speaker 3>have to hook it. My brain is limited, my. <v Speaker 2>Brother, I can't imagine a way I can. I just <v Speaker 2>told you a way that I can imagine it would <v Speaker 2>do it, but it can think the way. <v Speaker 3>Yes, I do. I truly do. I truly do, because <v Speaker 3>if you can, you. <v Speaker 2>Pull up the please that's a fan image. <v Speaker 3>I understand it's a fan image. Okay, but we're not <v Speaker 3>working on that image. Make that we're not working on <v Speaker 3>that image. <v Speaker 2>I'm saying that will that fan image be wobbly? Probably? <v Speaker 3>Yes, I agree with Okay, But what I'm saying though, <v Speaker 3>is it unless what they make comes down and clasps <v Speaker 3>the entire switch. There's no way it's not going to <v Speaker 3>be wobbly. <v Speaker 2>Okay, maybe that's what it will do. Or maybe they'll <v Speaker 2>just have like clips on top that it clips in <v Speaker 2>and snaps in a place it. <v Speaker 3>Might not even happen. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>So I like the little mouse thing you made. By <v Speaker 3>the way, speaking of switch. <v Speaker 2>To stuff, Yeah, because you can make anything. Yeah, you <v Speaker 2>can literally make anything. <v Speaker 3>I think that's really cool. <v Speaker 2>Thanks. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I like that. <v Speaker 2>Do a poll, do a Paul pull for what will <v Speaker 2>it be wobbly? No? Is there a way that a <v Speaker 2>top screen can be designed to not wobble? <v Speaker 3>Oh my god? All right, fine, fine, also eighty six. <v Speaker 2>Percent conversations giving me brain damage? <v Speaker 3>Eighty six percent. Yes, you should have the baby. <v Speaker 2>Do Thank you for that. Appreciate that, all right? Poll? <v Speaker 3>Is there a way to make a top screen not wobble? <v Speaker 3>Start poll? <v Speaker 2>I I don't really even feel like I need. <v Speaker 3>To, Like, I don't think this pole is even fair, because, yeah, <v Speaker 3>there is a way to make it not wobble. It's <v Speaker 3>to make it in case the entire switch, which is <v Speaker 3>exactly what I'm saying. Okay, okay, the pole. <v Speaker 2>Stop the poll, and right, other than encasing the host <v Speaker 2>about just that's the caveat for because I've already voted <v Speaker 2>and it's seventyes. <v Speaker 1>Do it. <v Speaker 2>Other than encasing the whole switch? What's in rage mode? <v Speaker 2>I'm not, honestly, I'm not, he is can it? I don't. <v Speaker 2>I don't have a way of like, I don't even <v Speaker 2>need I don't think I even need to argue the point. <v Speaker 3>If you, I'm sorry, but you brought up the large <v Speaker 3>headron call lighter as your example for this, as if <v Speaker 3>the people who work in Nintendo are smashing particles together, right. <v Speaker 2>Like, But I'm not saying but that is, there are <v Speaker 2>things that humans have done that are so unbelievably possible <v Speaker 2>that attaching a top screen that doesn't wobble has to <v Speaker 2>be on the low totem pole of designer. But we're <v Speaker 2>also we. <v Speaker 3>Work, we work within the confines of the laws of physics. <v Speaker 3>Though right it does like. <v Speaker 2>It's just I can I can already see it. I <v Speaker 2>can already just see a way that I can see it. <v Speaker 3>And I can see it, and I can see it wobbling. <v Speaker 3>That's it. Unless it doesn't have there's no there's nothing <v Speaker 3>there for it to latch onto a part is. <v Speaker 2>The whole switch for it to la. It's just just <v Speaker 2>have it click in. <v Speaker 3>That's what I'm saying. <v Speaker 2>You realize themselves click in. Yes, but without attaching around <v Speaker 2>the whole unit. I get that, But design something that <v Speaker 2>clicks in the same way. <v Speaker 3>The different it's a you're talking about female to male <v Speaker 3>rather than male to female. It's different. <v Speaker 2>It's different, it's different, it's reversed, but it's the same. <v Speaker 3>I cannot wait to be well. I'm not going to <v Speaker 3>get like I'm not going to get like vindicated here. <v Speaker 3>There's no way. <v Speaker 2>But beyond the screen issue, it is. It baffles me <v Speaker 2>that you could even have this limited scope knowledge of <v Speaker 2>thinking that something could not exist if designed to exist. <v Speaker 3>I'm saying it can be designed to exist, but it <v Speaker 3>needs to be very different. <v Speaker 2>I don't think there's the way that it's been. I <v Speaker 2>think there's one hundred ways to do anything in life. <v Speaker 2>I don't think anything has one way. I don't think <v Speaker 2>there's anything that can only be done one way. <v Speaker 3>Well, here's the thing, and I think that this is good. Actually, <v Speaker 3>sixty percent of people say that it's possible. Right in <v Speaker 3>this chat right now, forty percent agree. <v Speaker 2>With me, Okay, that's fine. I think I think, I <v Speaker 2>think you've confused a lot of people. <v Speaker 3>Ah, so bonus episode ode coming up just now. Then, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>never did that, We never did the sponsor. <v Speaker 2>Oh no, it's fine, doesn't matter, we'll do it next time. <v Speaker 2>Chat is the instigator. Yeah, I know. Chat just wants <v Speaker 2>to go against me, I think is what it is. <v Speaker 2>You think, So yeah, let me have this, all right? <v Speaker 2>Let me. I can't let you have it. I can't <v Speaker 2>chat chat. Let chat. <v Speaker 3>For the forty percent of you that agree with me, <v Speaker 3>please just say that you agree with me for the <v Speaker 3>sake of agreeing with rather than disagreeing with. <v Speaker 2>What like, let me have this, please, I would love <v Speaker 2>to know if it's like ever been done before on <v Speaker 2>any other device where like a screen has been attached <v Speaker 2>on top as like as an example. I don't know <v Speaker 2>how I would find that per se, but I Google <v Speaker 2>imaged it and I'm just getting laptops with two screens. <v Speaker 3>I mean even laptops be wobbling, you know, those screens <v Speaker 3>are huge. Yeah, but this screen would also be huge, though, No, <v Speaker 3>I think yeah it would be. <v Speaker 2>I already had this conversation with Max in on ontendo <v Speaker 2>check because he was like, don't you think it would <v Speaker 2>be heavy, but that you can get screens like right <v Speaker 2>now you can order a screen off eBay. That's like <v Speaker 2>a third of the weight of a switch, right, because <v Speaker 2>the switch has all its internals, so the screen on <v Speaker 2>the top, it only has to be a very flat <v Speaker 2>or regular led screen or or let's screen or whatever <v Speaker 2>it is. It'd be very flat, it'd be very lightweight. <v Speaker 2>And then as long as you secure the base on <v Speaker 2>both the top on the left and the right so <v Speaker 2>it like clicks in in some way, and then it <v Speaker 2>has a joint along that top part that clicks in <v Speaker 2>that folds, it's fine. And I mean I don't know <v Speaker 2>like what the barometer of wobbly is, but if if <v Speaker 2>you think you're gonna like wave it and the guy <v Speaker 2>is gonna be moving around like this, I don't think so. <v Speaker 3>I just think that as far as anchor points for <v Speaker 3>connecting to the top or I guess technically the bottom <v Speaker 3>of the switch is concern. The only thing there really <v Speaker 3>is the USBC port Like I mean, like, yeah, right. <v Speaker 2>No, you can just no in life, we have clips, <v Speaker 2>I get. <v Speaker 3>I get, so we can move past this. <v Speaker 2>Which screen there's like a whole area of bezel in <v Speaker 2>between the top of the screen and in between the <v Speaker 2>two joy cons, so you can just clip into the top. <v Speaker 2>The whole thing might be a clip that you clip in. <v Speaker 2>They said the male to female, so it could be <v Speaker 2>a female clip that goes over the top. Mark read UK, <v Speaker 2>thank you for the five pounds, says my thing is <v Speaker 2>the satisfied grip doesn't wobble, and it doesn't in case <v Speaker 2>the whole switch it does. <v Speaker 3>It literally does. <v Speaker 2>No, I would say he is right. <v Speaker 3>Possible have held have held held supported? <v Speaker 2>I would say he is right. The satisfied grip it <v Speaker 2>clips onto the side. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but the whole it clips onto the entire switch. <v Speaker 3>The whole switch goes into. <v Speaker 2>It like it clips onto the side though. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but the whole thing goes into it. The whole <v Speaker 3>thing was into it top. If it was a screen <v Speaker 3>attached to a satisfy grip, it wouldn't wobble. I agree <v Speaker 3>with that. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, there's also exactly what I said before, And so <v Speaker 2>this is actually a good example of how it's been <v Speaker 2>done before. For phones. You can get like little hands <v Speaker 2>to play like the thing with and all that has <v Speaker 2>is like a band, like a stretchy band and you <v Speaker 2>just stretch it up and you clip it on top. <v Speaker 3>Yes, that's what I'm saying, Like, it's exactly what I'm saying. <v Speaker 3>That the problem is that it wouldn't work. It wouldn't <v Speaker 3>work by just popping something on top. It would have <v Speaker 3>to clasp onto the entire switch. That's what I've been <v Speaker 3>trying to say this whole time. <v Speaker 2>You said in case, yes, not like a clasp on <v Speaker 2>the whole. <v Speaker 3>That to me, that's encasing the whole switch. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, okay, well to most people that isn't. Oh my god, <v Speaker 2>all right, but what's your what's your problem? Then? If <v Speaker 2>if there's a way of doing it where it doesn't wobble, <v Speaker 2>either with one clasp or the whole thing, or a <v Speaker 2>way that it would work, why is that the barrier <v Speaker 2>of like it's not going to happen. <v Speaker 3>I'm not saying it's not gonna happen. I'm saying it's <v Speaker 3>not gonna look as sleep cool as the way that <v Speaker 3>they're putting it out to look. <v Speaker 2>Like who's putting But I said from the start that's <v Speaker 2>a fan. That's not how it's gonna look. I agree. <v Speaker 3>I want to move past this conversation so badly of. <v Speaker 2>Well, I did a whole episode with Kim about this <v Speaker 2>thing and how I think it's possible, and then you <v Speaker 2>came in right now and you are like, there's no <v Speaker 2>way it's happening. <v Speaker 3>So I just always happening like that. <v Speaker 2>But I said then, I said in the episode, this <v Speaker 2>is a fan mock up. Obviously it won't look like this, <v Speaker 2>but let's talk about the possibility of two screens. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I also to be to be perfectly truthful, though <v Speaker 3>I feel like it's unnecessary. Also, I feel like it's <v Speaker 3>a lot. <v Speaker 2>It's too much. <v Speaker 3>Like that's my that's my opinion about it. Even if <v Speaker 3>they do get it to work and not wobble, I <v Speaker 3>think it's too much. <v Speaker 2>Okay, that's a different conversation. <v Speaker 3>I didn't get to talk about it last time. I <v Speaker 3>want to be able to talk about it. <v Speaker 2>You know, thinks Movers says the DS wasn't wobbly. I <v Speaker 2>agree with that. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I agree with that too. That's not my point, <v Speaker 3>but okay. <v Speaker 2>But that it wasn't encased in the whole thing, that <v Speaker 2>was just attached on the edges with like hinges. I <v Speaker 2>just so if you clipped it onto the side of <v Speaker 2>the switch with hinges, I swear to god, dude, I can't. <v Speaker 2>It's just not the same thing. It is, though it <v Speaker 2>is the same. I need to bring up the Hadron collider. <v Speaker 3>Oh my god, we'll just be bringing up the Hadron <v Speaker 3>collider every. <v Speaker 2>Time running around the field with the goal post. I <v Speaker 2>don't know what you're talking about. Ham is the one <v Speaker 2>with the goal post here. <v Speaker 3>So the Patreon, I want to put the Patreon scroll up? <v Speaker 5>So bad? <v Speaker 2>Price seven dollars worth a second screen? Probably it would <v Speaker 2>be too much. Yeah, the DS absolutely was a little wobbly. <v Speaker 3>Though. <v Speaker 2>The DS was a little a little wobble. It was, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>but it was it was, but it was fine for <v Speaker 2>like ten years. It was fine. <v Speaker 3>It was fine. <v Speaker 2>It was okay. The three The three DS had a <v Speaker 2>nicer hinge, but was still. <v Speaker 3>A little wobble. Og DS was really bad for that, <v Speaker 3>it got bad. <v Speaker 2>I mean, I don't think it's going to be like <v Speaker 2>you're playing in an earthquake. No, but I'm sure baseline, <v Speaker 2>if Nintendo released it, it would be nice. It would <v Speaker 2>have would if they found a way to do it, <v Speaker 2>it would be good. It would have to be. Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>would I sent it on Twitter? You sent? I don't. <v Speaker 2>I'm not lugged in on Twitter. But I appreciate it. <v Speaker 2>I don't know what you mean. I don't know what <v Speaker 2>you sent. Hadron collider makes everything wobble at the atomic level. True, See, <v Speaker 2>even the Hadron collider wobbles to god. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, well, I mean the earth shifts and stuff, doesn't it. <v Speaker 3>I don't know. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. True, you want to get out of him? I did. <v Speaker 3>I've been I've been saying thanks so. <v Speaker 2>Much for watching today. I really appreciate it. We got <v Speaker 2>a bonus episode to do if you wouldn't mind watching that. <v Speaker 2>I appreciate it. We have a lot of exciting things <v Speaker 2>to talk about. Thank you all for the patreons and <v Speaker 2>everybody down here that's supporting the show. Thank you for <v Speaker 2>Ham for coming back here. Thank you for having me <v Speaker 2>back last time, despite my last time. Yeah, I feel <v Speaker 2>like I feel like I feel like you're wobbling in <v Speaker 2>the show too much. I appreciate you. Well, go watch <v Speaker 2>the video that I put up today and like comment <v Speaker 2>wherever you're listening. I appreciate it. Sorry, it was more <v Speaker 2>of a visual podcast today, but that's what it's like <v Speaker 2>every time we react to like events. <v Speaker 3>Like this, yea and become a patron. <v Speaker 2>Hey, anything, you want to add anything from other episodes <v Speaker 2>you he disagree with. <v Speaker 3>No, just stay safe out there. Everyone's getting sick right now. <v Speaker 3>Don't get sick like for like three weeks. Every time <v Speaker 3>for two weeks, and then I did a courtesy week. <v Speaker 3>So yeah, it was if I get sick, No, you <v Speaker 3>should be, you should be. Okay, you'll be all right. <v Speaker 2>I want to be sturdy on my feet next week. Okay, <v Speaker 2>you know you know what I don't want to be <v Speaker 2>next week. Goodbye everybody, Goodbye <v Speaker 4>The
