<v Speaker 1>shares an unforgettable encounter she had while camping in the
<v Speaker 1>Santa Cruz Mountains. What began as a quiet knight in
<v Speaker 1>the woods turned into a chilling experience. Metal banging in
<v Speaker 1>the dark, heavy footsteps circling her tent, and something powerful
<v Speaker 1>enough to keep her boyfriend at the time asleep while
<v Speaker 1>she lay awake listening in fear. But this encounter didn't
<v Speaker 1>end at the campsite. It followed her home through strange lights,
<v Speaker 1>prophetic dreams, and spiritual connections with the land itself. This
<v Speaker 1>is a story that goes beyond the physical realm. It's
<v Speaker 1>about the connection between humans, spirits, and the mysterious beings

<v Speaker 1>from the state of California here on Sasquatch Theory. Carlo,
<v Speaker 1>Welcome to Sasquatch Theory. How are you doing today.
<v Speaker 2>I'm doing well. Thank you.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's a pleasure to have you on the show, Carla.
<v Speaker 1>If you would tell me a little bit about yourself,
<v Speaker 1>where you're from, and your experiences from the very beginning,
<v Speaker 1>please thank you.
<v Speaker 2>Well. My name's Carla. I am have grown up up
<v Speaker 2>my whole life in northern California, and back in two thousand,
<v Speaker 2>I met my then boyfriend, Justin, who at the time
<v Speaker 2>was a on site maintenance caretaker for a privately owned
<v Speaker 2>campground in the southern California Redwood Mountains. Deep deep in
<v Speaker 2>the mountains, it would take him about an hour every
<v Speaker 2>day to drive one way into the mountains from the
<v Speaker 2>city to get to this campground, so it was pretty
<v Speaker 2>remote and the off the main highway, it was about
<v Speaker 2>fifteen to twenty minutes of just one way pretty much
<v Speaker 2>very rocky, twisty, windy back roads to get into this
<v Speaker 2>basin area of this campground. And like I said, it
<v Speaker 2>was privately owned by a company that provided it was
<v Speaker 2>a I would consider it a lamping campground. That's what
<v Speaker 2>they call it these days. It had recreation centers, volleyball
<v Speaker 2>cabins and campsites, a baseball field, a playground center, tennis courts,
<v Speaker 2>is very very large creek running through it, lots of wildlife,
<v Speaker 2>and the campground was utilized by the employees during the
<v Speaker 2>spring and summer seasons, and during the fall and winter
<v Speaker 2>the campground would close down and it was just the
<v Speaker 2>on site management that would stay during the year to
<v Speaker 2>take care of the grounds. And so for the first
<v Speaker 2>three years, Justin just traveled in and out, back and
<v Speaker 2>forth as maintenance. And during our time dating, the on
<v Speaker 2>site manager retired and Justin got the opportunity for the
<v Speaker 2>management position there and he kind of absorbed his maintenance
<v Speaker 2>position as well, and so he became the management living
<v Speaker 2>on site in the caretaker's facilities, and I moved in
<v Speaker 2>with him with my daughter at the time, who was
<v Speaker 2>nine years old, and it was a really unique experience
<v Speaker 2>to be that deep out in the redwoods where there's
<v Speaker 2>no signals and just nobody except for these campers during
<v Speaker 2>the during the on season, and so during the off
<v Speaker 2>season when we would we would close the campgrounds, it
<v Speaker 2>was a really neat opportunity for Justin and I to
<v Speaker 2>go out into the park and just camp wherever we
<v Speaker 2>wanted to, and oftentimes it would be just out in
<v Speaker 2>the meadow somewhere out of the camp sites, because the
<v Speaker 2>camp sites were typically all in redwood groves and we
<v Speaker 2>liked to camp in the meadows where you could see
<v Speaker 2>the stars. And so one night during the off season,
<v Speaker 2>I believe it was in the fall of two thousand
<v Speaker 2>and seven, actually it's when it was, and we had
<v Speaker 2>camped out behind the management facility near a playground area,
<v Speaker 2>which was also near a very ancient Native American It
<v Speaker 2>was the Natives that resided in that area. It was
<v Speaker 2>a grinding stone area, which was really neat, but it
<v Speaker 2>was basically just a big open field in this area.
<v Speaker 2>We pitched this tenant and it was it was a
<v Speaker 2>night where there was just no moon and it was
<v Speaker 2>all stars, and we were out there for quite some
<v Speaker 2>time looking at the stars and then went to sleep
<v Speaker 2>like we usually did wherever we were camping. And also
<v Speaker 2>near the area where we were camping, across from the road,
<v Speaker 2>the little back road, there was the big recreation center.
<v Speaker 2>It's kind of at the top of the hill where
<v Speaker 2>they would have food functions, and there was a big,
<v Speaker 2>giant I think it was like a three yard dumpster,
<v Speaker 2>just like a really big one that was taller than
<v Speaker 2>meum five to three, And so I had to throw
<v Speaker 2>stuff up over my head, this big metal dumpster, and
<v Speaker 2>it had a the rubber lid that would come down
<v Speaker 2>and here there's a metal bar that would cross over
<v Speaker 2>the top of it to close it. And so this
<v Speaker 2>was during the off season. This canister was there this
<v Speaker 2>and was completely empty. There would have been no food
<v Speaker 2>or anything desirable in there because there'd be no campers.
<v Speaker 2>And so this this area next to us, it's it's
<v Speaker 2>pitch black. There's no there's no lights, there's no lighting,
<v Speaker 2>there's no lights anywhere. All we had was our headlamps
<v Speaker 2>out there with the time with us, and so we're
<v Speaker 2>sleeping and I wake up to just this loud banging
<v Speaker 2>it and it sounds like just metal just banging, and
<v Speaker 2>it's reverberating and it's like boom boom boom, and then
<v Speaker 2>it'll stop and then boom boom boom louder and it
<v Speaker 2>and it kept on in probably about three sets of
<v Speaker 2>this booming and I and I started shaking justin and
<v Speaker 2>I said, what is that? And he's just he wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>wake up. And it was very out of his nature,
<v Speaker 2>because this is a guy who he'll go outside and
<v Speaker 2>to check anything out. He backpacks alone in the mountains,
<v Speaker 2>in the woods. He has no problem with wildlife or anything. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>he's just I've always felt safe with him because of
<v Speaker 2>his comfort out there in the woods. And so he
<v Speaker 2>I roused him a bit and he said what what
<v Speaker 2>I said, what is that noise? And we lay there
<v Speaker 2>and listen and he listens and he says, I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I said what he said, that's got to be the
<v Speaker 2>dumpster lid slamming. There's nothing, there's nothing out here that
<v Speaker 2>could do that. And when he said that, it just
<v Speaker 2>is like instant terror kind of like filled me because
<v Speaker 2>he's he just didn't know what it was, and he
<v Speaker 2>always knew what everything was. And so we're sitting there
<v Speaker 2>and he's and it's banging. Later I said, well, why
<v Speaker 2>don't you look? And he says, I don't want to look,
<v Speaker 2>and he just kind of laid back down, and I'm
<v Speaker 2>sitting there just just terrified, and I'm like, honey, what
<v Speaker 2>is And he just kind of like went back to sleep,
<v Speaker 2>and I'm trying to rouse him. I'm just what is that?
<v Speaker 2>And he's like, it's okay, just go back to sleep.
<v Speaker 2>And it was just out of character for him, and
<v Speaker 2>I felt very terrified, and so I just kind of
<v Speaker 2>hunkered back down inside my tent and pulled the sleeping
<v Speaker 2>bag up over me and just was laying there, wide away, scared.
<v Speaker 2>And then I start hearing footsteps on the trail below us,
<v Speaker 2>and the trail below us like it's not matance, it's
<v Speaker 2>full of leaves and sticks and stuff. And I'm hearing
<v Speaker 2>like a breathing and by peterle walking, and I wake
<v Speaker 2>him up again, justin there's something on the trail below us.
<v Speaker 2>What is that? I don't know? And he just keeps
<v Speaker 2>like going back to sleep and he won't get up,
<v Speaker 2>and I felt like there was something just kind of
<v Speaker 2>keeping him from getting waking up. And the next day
<v Speaker 2>when he's spoke about when we spoke about it, he
<v Speaker 2>said he remembered hearing something yelling. I didn't hear anything
<v Speaker 2>like that. He said there was a high pitch yelling,
<v Speaker 2>and he just said, I don't know what it was.
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to talk about it, and we just
<v Speaker 2>kind of left it at that, And it was something
<v Speaker 2>that always just really we could never explain it because
<v Speaker 2>there's no bears out there where we were at. There
<v Speaker 2>was nothing that could lift or slam that lid. And
<v Speaker 2>I thought that maybe it was something kicking the canister
<v Speaker 2>as well, because it was making the bin as well,
<v Speaker 2>because of the sound that was making. And the next
<v Speaker 2>day when he did go up there to look, the
<v Speaker 2>bar had been moved off of the top of the canister,
<v Speaker 2>which only a human could reach. There's a possibility somebody
<v Speaker 2>could have been out there, but it was, like I said,
<v Speaker 2>it was pitch black and out in this road where
<v Speaker 2>it's only accessible by foot, so deep. I don't know
<v Speaker 2>what else it could have been other than a sid
<v Speaker 2>squatch or or I don't know, I don't know. It
<v Speaker 2>was just very interesting experience, and it kind of went
<v Speaker 2>in line with a lot of other strange occurrences that
<v Speaker 2>we had out there as far as the land.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that is terrifying, and it does sound like bigfoot activity.
<v Speaker 1>This thing was banging on possibly like a metal trash
<v Speaker 1>can or something that was metal, and you could hear
<v Speaker 1>bipedal walking and it breathing. Did the breathing sound like
<v Speaker 1>a huge animal.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, it sounded like a like a deep and I
<v Speaker 2>got the distinct feeling that whatever it was was intentionally
<v Speaker 2>trying to scare us out. Whatever it was was upset.
<v Speaker 2>It was because of the intensity of the banging, how
<v Speaker 2>it just kept picking up and getting louder, and then
<v Speaker 2>being that we didn't move and we didn't vacate the area,
<v Speaker 2>I think it went down to that trail and tried
<v Speaker 2>to make it self heard and known as well. I
<v Speaker 2>really feel like it wasn't expecting if it was an
<v Speaker 2>area where it was passing through, it wasn't expecting probably
<v Speaker 2>any humans, because there's normally never any humans out there
<v Speaker 2>in this campgrounds this time of year.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I've heard the huffing before myself and the bipedal walking,
<v Speaker 1>and it's definitely a terrifying thing. I can't imagine what
<v Speaker 1>you felt like when you were in the tent and
<v Speaker 1>you heard this, especially since your boyfriend just kept falling
<v Speaker 1>back asleep.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah, he just didn't want to get up, and
<v Speaker 2>he wasn't interested in looking, and that really it was
<v Speaker 2>out of character for him, really out of character for him,
<v Speaker 2>because Yeah, typically, I mean we'd go out and if
<v Speaker 2>there was a skunk walking by or whatever, you know,
<v Speaker 2>we're flashing the light outside the tent to see what
<v Speaker 2>we're hearing. It's a deer. And the other thing about
<v Speaker 2>the area is it was highly I would imagine that
<v Speaker 2>it was just rich in so much food for whatever's
<v Speaker 2>out there. There was a deer, there was wild turkeys
<v Speaker 2>would show up in the fall, just in the major groups,
<v Speaker 2>just big groups of turkeys and all different kinds of
<v Speaker 2>just animals out there. The wildlife out there, especially during
<v Speaker 2>the off season, it was so abundant. And then the
<v Speaker 2>water being the resource out there too, with the creek
<v Speaker 2>flowing through.
<v Speaker 1>Oh well, so yeah, this sounds like a perfect area
<v Speaker 1>for sasquatch. You have a big woods, running water, a
<v Speaker 1>Native American site, and campers in the area.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. In two thousand and eight the historical archaeological people
<v Speaker 2>came to survey the land because it was being transferred
<v Speaker 2>to the state, and those grinding stones were like historic,
<v Speaker 2>they said. And my husband when he was doing maintenance there,
<v Speaker 2>he had actually found arrowheads. Every time it would rain,
<v Speaker 2>he would find stuff arrowheads. He found a bowl, a
<v Speaker 2>mortar bowl that they dated at like twenty five hundred
<v Speaker 2>to three thousand years old. So this is just very
<v Speaker 2>very ancient land that was very inhabited by the natives.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and I feel like the Sasquatch are ancient creatures.
<v Speaker 1>When you experience the activity, it definitely has like an
<v Speaker 1>ancient feeling to it.
<v Speaker 2>Yes. Absolutely. There was another really interesting thing that happened.
<v Speaker 2>At the time we were residing up there. We had
<v Speaker 2>two domestic feline cats, and one of which was quite
<v Speaker 2>fond of going on hikes with us, and he would
<v Speaker 2>hike all the way up to the top of this
<v Speaker 2>mountain where it was just a huge lookout. It was
<v Speaker 2>about a two hour hike, and he would follow us
<v Speaker 2>all the way up there and never ever had any
<v Speaker 2>issues of getting scared or any weird behavior. He had
<v Speaker 2>been up there plenty of times, and one time we
<v Speaker 2>went up there and this was in the daytime, and
<v Speaker 2>there was a group of four of us and we
<v Speaker 2>went up there and he went. Once we got to
<v Speaker 2>the lookout, he would kind of poke around like he
<v Speaker 2>always did, and he went poking around, and then he
<v Speaker 2>just didn't come back. And we were getting ready to
<v Speaker 2>head back down the trail and we start calling for
<v Speaker 2>him and I can't find him, and he's not anywhere around.
<v Speaker 2>I'm looking and looking, and I finally found him and
<v Speaker 2>he was hunkered down underneath a man's in need a bush,
<v Speaker 2>just completely terrified. And I kept picking him up and
<v Speaker 2>trying to bring him back on to the trail, and
<v Speaker 2>he would not and he just kept slinking down and
<v Speaker 2>trying to hide. He was trying to go off trail
<v Speaker 2>and hide, and it was so bad that I ended
<v Speaker 2>up having to My friend had a chance Sport backpack,
<v Speaker 2>and we had to empty out his whole backpack and
<v Speaker 2>put the cat in the backpack to get him back
<v Speaker 2>down the trail because he was just petrified. And we
<v Speaker 2>still don't know what it was, but we did get
<v Speaker 2>just this weird feeling like we were being watched. Like
<v Speaker 2>the latter part of our hike up there, and it
<v Speaker 2>was again just it never happened again, and he never
<v Speaker 2>followed us back up pet trail again either, and it
<v Speaker 2>was just a really strange occurrence.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, So what else happened after.
<v Speaker 2>This as far as bigfoot activity, I wouldn't say anything much.
<v Speaker 2>We weren't big into like we weren't aware so much
<v Speaker 2>of like sasquatch and the presence up there. We would
<v Speaker 2>have been definitely looking for footprints and that kind of
<v Speaker 2>thing at the time. But we had some other very
<v Speaker 2>strange experiences, one of which was with involved one of
<v Speaker 2>the ravens that was up there. So when we first
<v Speaker 2>arrived as caretakers on site, there was a raven that
<v Speaker 2>actually crossed my daughter's path. First, she came in the
<v Speaker 2>house terrified, Mom, there's a big black bird. It won't
<v Speaker 2>let me get my bike. And I said, we'll go
<v Speaker 2>give it an offering and introduce yourself, you know, and
<v Speaker 2>give it a piece of bread, and she did. And
<v Speaker 2>that raven ended up being just great friends with everyone
<v Speaker 2>in the household, and we fed him and he followed
<v Speaker 2>us around the community around the campground, and he also
<v Speaker 2>had a mate, and one day I heard him screaming
<v Speaker 2>in the backyard, squawking squawking, and I went out into
<v Speaker 2>the backyard and there was a hawk standing on his
<v Speaker 2>mate in the backyard and he had killed her, and
<v Speaker 2>he was standing there, and then the male raven was
<v Speaker 2>standing on the fence screaming at the hawk. And I
<v Speaker 2>ran down and I chased the hawk away, and there
<v Speaker 2>was the female raven and just a big pluff of feathers.
<v Speaker 2>You can imagine when like a bird gets attacked, there's
<v Speaker 2>just feathers everywhere, and so there's just a down and
<v Speaker 2>the black feathers and they're all over the place. And
<v Speaker 2>I was pregnant at the time with my son, and
<v Speaker 2>I just couldn't stand the sight of it. It was
<v Speaker 2>so sad, and I didn't know what to do, and
<v Speaker 2>so I looked. My husband had made like a pile
<v Speaker 2>of redwood boughs because he had trimmed the tree, and
<v Speaker 2>so I just took these boughs and I covered up
<v Speaker 2>the whole body of her so you couldn't see it,
<v Speaker 2>because I didn't want the raven there her mate to
<v Speaker 2>see it any longer. And I thought, I'll come down
<v Speaker 2>and all barrier tomorrow, and so I left her there
<v Speaker 2>overnight and I came back down in the morning to
<v Speaker 2>bury her, and I picked those bows up, which were
<v Speaker 2>in the same exact place as they were when I
<v Speaker 2>had laid them there, and she and every single fluffy feather,
<v Speaker 2>every down feather, it was gone, completely vanished, completely gone,
<v Speaker 2>And I this is the kind of strange stuff that
<v Speaker 2>would happen on this land. There was no explanation for it.
<v Speaker 2>Even if a wild animal were to have come and
<v Speaker 2>scavenged on the body, or if the raven even was
<v Speaker 2>to get the body out and do something, there was
<v Speaker 2>no way every single sign of this could have just disappeared.
<v Speaker 2>And so that was just a very strange occurrence that
<v Speaker 2>had happened as well. That kind of went along in
<v Speaker 2>line with all of the other things that would happen
<v Speaker 2>up there. When we first moved up there, also my
<v Speaker 2>daughter had an experience. We didn't have any coverings over
<v Speaker 2>the windows yet, and she came terrified into the living
<v Speaker 2>room saying she was seeing strange lights outside the window,
<v Speaker 2>and so we put up We hung something up in
<v Speaker 2>the window that night and so she wouldn't see anything else.
<v Speaker 2>And later that week we were going on a hike,
<v Speaker 2>and it was oftentimes we would come back and it
<v Speaker 2>would be dark and so we were heading back towards
<v Speaker 2>the house and it was it was very very dark,
<v Speaker 2>and we were talking about it, my husband and I
<v Speaker 2>and I go, well, you know, there are there are
<v Speaker 2>things out there, and I really believe there's you know,
<v Speaker 2>there's UFOs out there and whatnot. And I said, it's
<v Speaker 2>my belief that if they want you to see them,
<v Speaker 2>then you will. And right when I said that, right
<v Speaker 2>light just went right over our heads, right over the house,
<v Speaker 2>and it was something completely unexplainable. I don't know what
<v Speaker 2>it was. Other campers reported lights in the sky as well, also,
<v Speaker 2>like bright red lights they would describe as like a
<v Speaker 2>fire in the sky. So, yeah, very interesting things happening
<v Speaker 2>out there.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely with the raven, do you feel like there
<v Speaker 1>was some sort of significance behind that, like a message
<v Speaker 1>or something like a spiritual meaning I guess is what
<v Speaker 1>I'm saying.
<v Speaker 2>Well, yeah, we were, you know, the spiritu connection with
<v Speaker 2>this raven. I just felt like he had been a
<v Speaker 2>guardian of the land for so long. One morning I
<v Speaker 2>woke up and I heard chattering almost like how they
<v Speaker 2>described the Bigfoot chatter, and I've heard like the Sierra sounds.
<v Speaker 2>It was this chattering and it was in early morning
<v Speaker 2>hours and I look out the window and there was
<v Speaker 2>about twelve adult ravens in a circle outside on the
<v Speaker 2>property and they were talking like they were having a
<v Speaker 2>powow in this chatter. And what was strange was that
<v Speaker 2>anytime any other raven or any other bird would come
<v Speaker 2>into this area, this we used to call him Brother Raven.
<v Speaker 2>Brother Raven would run them off because it was his,
<v Speaker 2>his land and his area, and only him and his
<v Speaker 2>mate had claimed. And so it was really interesting to
<v Speaker 2>see them standing in a circle like this, and then
<v Speaker 2>they ended up departing. It was like they just came
<v Speaker 2>and had their little meeting and then left. But I
<v Speaker 2>really feel like the guardian, that the Ravens are the
<v Speaker 2>guardians between the realms. And you know that Raven had
<v Speaker 2>had just an awareness that far surpassed any animal that
<v Speaker 2>I had ever come in contact with. He was highly intelligent.
<v Speaker 2>He used to follow them. He would follow me. I
<v Speaker 2>worked twenty minutes down thirty minutes down the road at
<v Speaker 2>the market at one point, and he would follow me
<v Speaker 2>from the market home and he would know my hours
<v Speaker 2>and he would know that every day I would come
<v Speaker 2>home from the market. I would bring him an offering. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>so I don't know exactly what the significance was behind
<v Speaker 2>that disappearing, but I just know that they're very spiritual
<v Speaker 2>animals and they're magical in ways that we just don't
<v Speaker 2>even comprehend.
<v Speaker 1>Really, yeah, I would agree with that, and the fact
<v Speaker 1>that you were seeing strange lights in the area. I
<v Speaker 1>feel like there's a connection with the lights and the
<v Speaker 1>activity that's taken place, whether it's cryptid creatures, native American sights,
<v Speaker 1>or I don't know everything.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like, yeah, that's how we felt. And as
<v Speaker 2>far as like being on the land, how I felt,
<v Speaker 2>I've always had let's say, a psychic abilities. When I
<v Speaker 2>was out there, I got like blown full open as
<v Speaker 2>far as energetically in my ability to see things and whatnot.
<v Speaker 2>For example, part of my time out there, I was
<v Speaker 2>doing massage therapy. I was traveling over a very dangerous
<v Speaker 2>mountain road, and during one of my travels over that road,
<v Speaker 2>I saw myself having a bad car accident, and I
<v Speaker 2>equated that with the path that I was taking. And
<v Speaker 2>so that night when I came home, I sat down
<v Speaker 2>with my family and I said, hey, I feel like
<v Speaker 2>I'm going to be in an accident if I keep
<v Speaker 2>going this way over this mountain, I think I should
<v Speaker 2>start taking the other way around, even though it's about
<v Speaker 2>twenty minutes longer. And they agreed, and so that week
<v Speaker 2>I started taking a different route, and that week I
<v Speaker 2>was in a terrible car accident. I almost went over
<v Speaker 2>a two hundred and fifty foot ravine. But that kind
<v Speaker 2>of ability where even though I was going this other
<v Speaker 2>way around, I did see this accident happening. It was
<v Speaker 2>just very you know, that kind of that kind of awareness.
<v Speaker 2>It was it was really easy for me to tune
<v Speaker 2>in when I was out there. There's literally no signals
<v Speaker 2>or anything like that. And so yeah, those kind of
<v Speaker 2>experiences were frequent for me. And what I witnessed on
<v Speaker 2>the land with visitors was that if you came there
<v Speaker 2>with good intentions, you would have a fabulous time. It
<v Speaker 2>was like the and amplified things. And if you came
<v Speaker 2>there with a negative attitude or anything like that, like
<v Speaker 2>you would leave having a really negative experience. Like for example,

<v Speaker 2>just had a really nasty disposition about the land and
<v Speaker 2>was saying some kind of really awful things, and she
<v Speaker 2>ended up breaking her ankle while she was out there,
<v Speaker 2>and you know, it was things like that that you
<v Speaker 2>would just go, Wow, these like really intense things. Experiences
<v Speaker 2>happen to these people when they're out here, either good
<v Speaker 2>or bad.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I could agree with that, Like, if someone's really
<v Speaker 1>negative in their life, they might have a negative bigfoot encounter,
<v Speaker 1>but if they're positive, they might have a positive experience
<v Speaker 1>with them.
<v Speaker 2>Sure. Yeah. Yeah, the land definitely was very much it
<v Speaker 2>had just an awareness to it out there. It was yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that it was so remote, it just wild. Yeah, you
<v Speaker 2>definitely felt looked at when you were out there.
<v Speaker 1>You know, yeah, the forest is alive, but it definitely
<v Speaker 1>feels like it's intelligent when you experience things.
<v Speaker 2>Like this, yes, yeah, yeah, different, different kind of experience.
<v Speaker 1>Do you feel like the Sasquatch were, I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>like attracted to the ability that you have as far
<v Speaker 1>as experiencing things that are out of the norm.
<v Speaker 2>I do. I do. I think that that I felt
<v Speaker 2>that my experience from Justin's experience was different and that
<v Speaker 2>I was meant to be aware and awake and experience
<v Speaker 2>it and he wasn't in that way. For some reason,
<v Speaker 2>I felt like I was, Yeah, my awareness level. It
<v Speaker 2>may have been drawn to that in some way. I
<v Speaker 2>feel like I definitely pulled in a lot of those experiences.
<v Speaker 2>Another really magical thing that happened when we were up
<v Speaker 2>there is my grandmother passed away and we had been
<v Speaker 2>gone shopping in town one time or during that day,
<v Speaker 2>and when we came back from town and pulled into
<v Speaker 2>the park, every open space of grass was covered with robins.
<v Speaker 2>I've never seen anything like it. There was never a
<v Speaker 2>migration out there. I mean we had been out there
<v Speaker 2>several seasons at that point, and the robin was my
<v Speaker 2>grandmother's bird. My grandma was a singer and she loved
<v Speaker 2>the song of the robin, and so when we pulled in,
<v Speaker 2>I knew that my grandma had passed away, and they
<v Speaker 2>didn't even get startled. I mean we just pulled in
<v Speaker 2>and walked around and drove past away and they were
<v Speaker 2>just covering, just covering every square inch of the park
<v Speaker 2>that we could see, just thousands of them. It seemed. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that was another really incredible experience, and I knew right
<v Speaker 2>away that it was my grandma sending me that message
<v Speaker 2>up there.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's interesting. I've heard that from people that have
<v Speaker 1>lost a family member. They claim they see like a
<v Speaker 1>certain bird or a flower that was connected with the
<v Speaker 1>person that passed away.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah, it was an incredible experience and it only
<v Speaker 2>happened that one day at one time. Up there.
<v Speaker 1>Is it still the same way today in that area,
<v Speaker 1>Like can you still camp there?
<v Speaker 2>Is?
<v Speaker 1>It like pretty remote.
<v Speaker 2>It was destroyed in a big fire, so it's been
<v Speaker 2>closed for I think four or five years. The caretakers
<v Speaker 2>that were up there lost everything.
<v Speaker 1>Oh man, I hate to hear that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, very very sad. But the really interesting and
<v Speaker 2>kind of neat thing is is that it's going back
<v Speaker 2>to nature in a way. I haven't heard anything about
<v Speaker 2>what's going on up there at all or how bad
<v Speaker 2>the fire was, but I do know that the manager's
<v Speaker 2>cabins were destroyed campgrout, the manager's facilities were destroyed in
<v Speaker 2>a lot of the cabins. But yeah, we were I
<v Speaker 2>think we're going to take a trip out there this
<v Speaker 2>summer and just kind of go check it out because
<v Speaker 2>it's been so long. It'll be our twenty year anniversary
<v Speaker 2>coming up, and so I kind of wanted to revisit it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's like the fires can definitely be devastating to
<v Speaker 1>the land and have a profound effect on them. But
<v Speaker 1>it's wild to think that death can bring life, like
<v Speaker 1>those fires will rejuvenate new life. And I guess that's
<v Speaker 1>how it is with people, Like you have to go
<v Speaker 1>through the fire to feel live again.
<v Speaker 2>That is very true, very very true.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it still sucks for the wildlife.
<v Speaker 2>Though, it does. It really does. Yeah, I'm hoping we
<v Speaker 2>might see brother Raven. Yeah, if we go back.
<v Speaker 1>A lot of my friends up north, like from Minnesota, Michigan,
<v Speaker 1>or Canada and Alaska, they all have like a spiritual
<v Speaker 1>connection with ravens. They say that like ravens like our messengers,
<v Speaker 1>and there's just something spiritual about them. And I guess
<v Speaker 1>that belief has been around for a long long time.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, yes, absolutely, they're Another really interesting connection with the
<v Speaker 2>raven was with the pregnancy of my son. I was
<v Speaker 2>a couple of months pregnant and my husband and I
<v Speaker 2>and my daughter we were all in the at the
<v Speaker 2>in the caretaker's house there, and my husband was in
<v Speaker 2>the kitchen doing the dishes, and we were tossing up
<v Speaker 2>names and he says, what about the name Odin? And
<v Speaker 2>I said, Oh, that's a neat name. Gosh, that sounds familiar.
<v Speaker 2>And he says, I don't know why that just came
<v Speaker 2>in my head. I don't know where that's from. And
<v Speaker 2>I said, oh, I think that was like the Norse,
<v Speaker 2>one of the Norse, all the all father Norse. And
<v Speaker 2>he goes, oh, yeah. I said that's interesting, and I
<v Speaker 2>go that I like that name. What about a middle
<v Speaker 2>name and he says, well, a tree name would be neat.
<v Speaker 2>I've always thought that would be Neat. What about Ash?
<v Speaker 2>And I thought, Oh, that's a neat name, And so
<v Speaker 2>I go downstairs and I google, and Odin is associated
<v Speaker 2>with the ravens. And in the Norse mythology or Norse history,
<v Speaker 2>Odin hung on the Yadgetul tree, which was an ash tree,
<v Speaker 2>and that's part of the whole Norse story. And that
<v Speaker 2>so our son we named our son Odin and Odin Ash,
<v Speaker 2>And yeah, we've always had that connection with the raven
<v Speaker 2>We feel like that was part of his gift to us,
<v Speaker 2>that he brought us our son and our son's name,
<v Speaker 2>which we thought was interesting and magical the way it
<v Speaker 2>came to us.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, And I feel like they had a connection
<v Speaker 1>with the things that people are experiencing today as far
<v Speaker 1>as like the cryptids, the orbs, the strange phenomenon, like
<v Speaker 1>the story of Odin. It kind of mirrors like the
<v Speaker 1>story of Jesus, Jesus and Christianity.
<v Speaker 2>Absolutely, yeah, yea, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>It makes me feel like the same thing keeps happening,
<v Speaker 1>and I often wonder, is like this same scenario playing
<v Speaker 1>out like in planets across the universe where someone comes

<v Speaker 2>the same thing, but it's it's fit for the time

<v Speaker 1>as ancient civilizations, these creatures, the Smithsonians, the giants that

<v Speaker 2>picks them up a lot, which is interesting. But yeah, what.
<v Speaker 1>About the red light that you were talking about, like
<v Speaker 1>the fire in the sky, is that something common that's
<v Speaker 1>seene there in that part of California?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, my husband, my husband and I actually where we're
<v Speaker 2>at now, we're over in Humboldt Bay, California. Now, we
<v Speaker 2>did see like a ball, a red fireball of light
<v Speaker 2>drifting over us in a way and then it just
<v Speaker 2>kind of split, you know, it's going slow one second
<v Speaker 2>and then cuts off to a different direction and it
<v Speaker 2>disappears that that's something that we've seen here. Yeah, it's
<v Speaker 2>not uncommon out here. And yeah, as far as that,
<v Speaker 2>but yeah, a lot of a lot of warb activity,
<v Speaker 2>especially like at the lakes and stuff. There's a place
<v Speaker 2>called Ruth Lake out here where I picked up a
<v Speaker 2>lot a lot, and you know what, I think a
<v Speaker 2>lot of activity too. There's just a lot of unrested
<v Speaker 2>souls here along the California coast because of what's happened
<v Speaker 2>with the Natives. You got places like called Battle Rock
<v Speaker 2>and even the land that we're managing on now is
<v Speaker 2>it's a massacre site. It's a mobile home community built
<v Speaker 2>on top of a Native American massacre site. And like
<v Speaker 2>the property that we're on right now, there's strong, strong
<v Speaker 2>Fay activity here. And it took us a couple of
<v Speaker 2>years to get after making many offerings down at the
<v Speaker 2>river to get them to settle down, because they there
<v Speaker 2>was just a lot of trouble with the facilities that
<v Speaker 2>are down on the river and things that would happen
<v Speaker 2>and go wrong and that were just unexplainable with the
<v Speaker 2>lift station systems and whatnot. And our whole community underwent
<v Speaker 2>a major upgrade. We got this company, Pacific Gas and Electric,
<v Speaker 2>who ran all new gas electric lines through the whole community,
<v Speaker 2>which the communities built basically right down on the river.
<v Speaker 2>And I let them know that if they continued to
<v Speaker 2>disrespect the land and the way that they were throwing
<v Speaker 2>their cigarette buds, leaving oil dumping things, that things would
<v Speaker 2>go wrong down there. And they laughed at me, thought
<v Speaker 2>it was funny. And boy, their equipment started breaking, their
<v Speaker 2>trenches started caving in. Went through five or six foremen
<v Speaker 2>through this project because they kept quitting and walking off
<v Speaker 2>the job because of how much trouble and things were
<v Speaker 2>happening down there. And finally they got decent forman down there,
<v Speaker 2>and I said, if you go down there and you
<v Speaker 2>do some prayers, you do something to talk to the land.
<v Speaker 2>You need to speak to the land, maybe you'll have
<v Speaker 2>a better time. And he did and things kind of
<v Speaker 2>went a little bit smoothly, more smooth from then on.
<v Speaker 2>But the land is alive here and it just holds
<v Speaker 2>It holds a memory, and it holds energy. And like
<v Speaker 2>you were saying, if you bring something negative, you're going
<v Speaker 2>to experience that negative. And that's what these workers were doing.
<v Speaker 2>They were very very negative, throwing tools and angry because
<v Speaker 2>things weren't going the right way and the land would
<v Speaker 2>just give it right back to them, and it took them.
<v Speaker 2>It was supposed to be an eighteen month project and
<v Speaker 2>it ended up taking four seasons to get them out
<v Speaker 2>of here because they just couldn't get it together.
<v Speaker 1>No, well, yeah, you definitely have to respect the land.
<v Speaker 1>And that looks like a really cool area. I've never
<v Speaker 1>been to California before, but I would love to see
<v Speaker 1>the redwood trees and then Humble County. I mean that
<v Speaker 1>that looks like a lot of woods. Humble Bay National
<v Speaker 1>Wildlife Refuge and the Headwaters Forest Reserve, like that looks
<v Speaker 1>like a really cool area.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, it's beautiful. It's beautiful. We've been here eleven years
<v Speaker 2>now and it's very similar to where we came from.
<v Speaker 2>But the population is very small, so it's really nice.
<v Speaker 2>And yeah, the trees outweigh the people.
<v Speaker 1>Wow, that's amazing, because I know California has a huge
<v Speaker 1>population of people, but from what I see on a map,
<v Speaker 1>there's huge areas that outnumber the people. I bet the
<v Speaker 1>Humble Redwood State Park is a really cool area. How
<v Speaker 1>old are those trees, like the real big ones.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, they're over a thousand some of them. Yeah, there's
<v Speaker 2>old growth out here too that are.
<v Speaker 1>Very old, so they've been here before, like the Native
<v Speaker 1>Americans or when the Native Americans were still around before settlers.
<v Speaker 1>Like those are the same.
<v Speaker 2>Trees, Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I wonder if there's like intelligence with those trees as
<v Speaker 1>far as like the orbs, Like is there more bigfoot activity,
<v Speaker 1>more orb phenomenon with the redwood trees compared to like
<v Speaker 1>areas like Missouri with oak trees that aren't as old.

<v Speaker 2>I wonder there is a definite awareness to the redwoods
<v Speaker 2>that it's they're unique in a really special way, and
<v Speaker 2>that their underground root structure is one solid membrane. So
<v Speaker 2>they are all connected in a way that has allowed
<v Speaker 2>them to withstand earthquakes and those kind of things in
<v Speaker 2>floods because they're just it's like a big solid mat
<v Speaker 2>under there that holds them together and they share a
<v Speaker 2>collective consciousness. Their roots are not intertwined, they are together there.
<v Speaker 2>It's one solid, solid consciousness. I believe there's just a
<v Speaker 2>really different feeling in a redwood forest compared to any
<v Speaker 2>other forest that I've ever ever been in.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's like a giant I don't know, like central
<v Speaker 1>nervous system. It really Yeah, i'd love to see it.
<v Speaker 1>I bet that'd be really cool. And out here in Missouri,
<v Speaker 1>like the sasquatch, they'll slowly hide behind trees, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure they do this all over the world, but I
<v Speaker 1>feel like there they'd just be able to hide so

<v Speaker 2>are mushroom foragers, and so we go out off trail
<v Speaker 2>and and get out there and and uh and yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I would get lost if it wasn't for him. He's
<v Speaker 2>got a GPS in his brain, Like I said, he's
<v Speaker 2>really really comfortable with all that kind of stuff. And yeah,
<v Speaker 2>we definitely get out there in the in the areas
<v Speaker 2>that other people don't, which is really neat.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's so cool. You got like huge woods there,
<v Speaker 1>a bunch of waterways, but you're also close to the beach.
<v Speaker 1>I mean that's got to be a cool feeling knowing
<v Speaker 1>that you have it all.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, it really is. It's the best of both worlds.
<v Speaker 2>My husband's an avid surfer and so that's that's part
<v Speaker 2>of the big draw out here in the backpacking and surfing, hiking,
<v Speaker 2>all of it. You know, it's a really nice area.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Then I bet there's sasquatch even on the beaches,
<v Speaker 1>because I've heard that in Oregon and Washington where they're
<v Speaker 1>like digging up clams right there on the beach. So
<v Speaker 1>that's gotta be cool.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. And there's some areas that are so wild out here,
<v Speaker 2>like the Lost Coast. I mean where you know, the
<v Speaker 2>forest is basically coming right up to the rocks at
<v Speaker 2>the ocean and so and it's so rugged and so wild.
<v Speaker 2>It's just people aren't out there. It's perfect habitat, it's
<v Speaker 2>perfect environment for squad which out there. The Lost Coast
<v Speaker 2>is very rugged and wild. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely. And what kind of mushrooms do you guys look for?
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure the sasquatch are seeking out the same food sources.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, right. Gosh, we've got hedgehogs, we've got Chantrell's porchinis oysters. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>haven't found any matsukis yet, but that's on my list

<v Speaker 1>That's what lost my mind is like, you guys have
<v Speaker 1>completely different trees in your area, but yet the same
<v Speaker 1>mushrooms are growing there as like in Missouri or even
<v Speaker 1>like up north Canada and Alaska. That's kind of cool.

<v Speaker 2>what trees and where to look, and yeah, there's an
<v Speaker 2>abundance of them out here. Yeah, what's really it's just

<v Speaker 2>forests just anywhere out here, and it's just yeah, you

<v Speaker 2>their habitat is being depleted. They're just kind of being
<v Speaker 2>more drawn to this area because of its abundant and
<v Speaker 2>rich in resources. Yeah, and like the headwaters back there,
<v Speaker 2>that's it's salmon run through there.
<v Speaker 1>Really, that's it's amazing. I didn't know that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, the salmon run through there every year.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, yeah, I guess that's the area where
<v Speaker 1>a lot of Bigfoot reports come from. Now that I'm
<v Speaker 1>looking at a map on the Six Rivers National Forests,
<v Speaker 1>Willow Creek. Yeah, yeah, all those areas is where I've
<v Speaker 1>had reports at in the past. Okay, so this is like, yeah, hilarious.
<v Speaker 2>I wanted to alsot something rae happened with my husband nuts.

<v Speaker 2>the big Foot with when we were in the tent,
<v Speaker 2>my husband had dreams for like probably a year of
<v Speaker 2>seeing Bigfoot, of trying to talk to him, of being
<v Speaker 2>pulled by him, of being grabbed by him. Just he
<v Speaker 2>would he would he would wake me up by in
<v Speaker 2>the middle of the night, talking, yelling, and I'd have
<v Speaker 2>to wake him up. What was it? Oh my god,
<v Speaker 2>it was Bigfoot again in my dream. And so that
<v Speaker 2>was something very strange that affected his sleep for quite
<v Speaker 2>some time when we were probably the rest of the
<v Speaker 2>time when we were out there, I would think it
<v Speaker 2>would just sleep disturbances with big dreams. So's quatch like
<v Speaker 2>he was trying to talk to him.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's strange you say that, because right before you,
<v Speaker 1>I interviewed a gentleman from northern California who worked for
<v Speaker 1>a logging crew and he's seen these creatures several times,
<v Speaker 1>but he claimed that they would get into his dreams,
<v Speaker 1>and he said they were the most realistic dreams he's
<v Speaker 1>ever had. And he saw like a ten or twelve
<v Speaker 1>foot jet blackmail and a brown one that was like
<v Speaker 1>a coco brown.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's freaky.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it was it what he would he would startle
<v Speaker 2>me by by these, you know, having these, he'd be
<v Speaker 2>really just trying to talk and just having trouble and
<v Speaker 2>not being able to wake himself up. Yeah, you know,

<v Speaker 1>I can imagine what that would be like to hear
<v Speaker 1>my partner like freaking out, like, oh sasquatch, like waking
<v Speaker 1>up from like a dream.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah yeah, He's like it's pulling me what like, oh

<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I mean with the experience that you had, there's
<v Speaker 1>got to be a connection there, and maybe it has
<v Speaker 1>something to do with like the telepathy or I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how they get into your dreams, but
<v Speaker 1>there's definitely something like supernatural or paranormal.
<v Speaker 2>Behind it, right right. I think too when you're in
<v Speaker 2>areas like that power spot and it just the lack
<v Speaker 2>of outside noise from the city, energy and other people
<v Speaker 2>and all this stuff. It just makes it easier for
<v Speaker 2>psychic telepathy, communication, those kind of things when it's just
<v Speaker 2>the woods and you've got basically the Redwoods acting is
<v Speaker 2>kind of like filters, kind of filtering out all the
<v Speaker 2>outside noise from the city. I feel like it just
<v Speaker 2>kind of amplifies anyone's ability to kind of tune in
<v Speaker 2>out there, you know.
<v Speaker 1>M Yeah, absolutely. It's a confusing thing because, like I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, as a Christian in the Bible, it says
<v Speaker 1>the like teleopathy, being a psychic, all that stuff is bad,
<v Speaker 1>But it's like, well, when the Holy Spirit speaks to you,
<v Speaker 1>it's like you have this knowing and't that telepathy? Or
<v Speaker 1>if God speaks to you like this invisible being that
<v Speaker 1>you hear like an audible voice from that's kind of
<v Speaker 1>like teleopathy. Or if an angel talks to you, that's

<v Speaker 1>Have you ever heard of any reports in your area
<v Speaker 1>where people find like giant skeletons, anything like that.
<v Speaker 2>I think I have read something about things being found
<v Speaker 2>in the area. I've never spoken to anybody, but I
<v Speaker 2>think if you, if you do a little bit of research,
<v Speaker 2>I think there was something some some bones or something
<v Speaker 2>found out here in the in the Humboldt Hills might
<v Speaker 2>be able to pull a little some on the internet,
<v Speaker 2>wouldn't surprise me.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I would do some research on that because a
<v Speaker 1>lot of the areas that are having big foot encounters
<v Speaker 1>today are areas where people have found giant skeletons in
<v Speaker 1>the past.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah, there's a place. Oh no, Actually, that's an
<v Speaker 2>organ somewhere that we want to you know, it's called
<v Speaker 2>I think Devil's Table, but it looks like it's an
<v Speaker 2>ancient tree that was cut down, very large hiking rock
<v Speaker 2>they call it. But yeah, I believe there's these ancient
<v Speaker 2>petrified trees that were cut down around that time when
<v Speaker 2>there was giants and whatnot, and there's some remnants of
<v Speaker 2>that in and around our area.
<v Speaker 1>Isn't that similar to the Devil's Tower? Yes, uh huh, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it does look like a huge like petrified tree stomp
<v Speaker 1>or something. Either it was cut or like there was
<v Speaker 1>ocean there and like the waves like smoothed it out right. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>if you mentioned that on Facebook, people will make fun
<v Speaker 1>of you though, so don't say it.
<v Speaker 2>On Facebook, of course.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're not allowed to give your opinion on Facebook.
<v Speaker 1>Everything's got to be plane, Jane.
<v Speaker 2>I keep that to myself. In fact, just sharing this
<v Speaker 2>story with you is definitely outside of my my box
<v Speaker 2>of doing things. You know, my husband every night has
<v Speaker 2>been listening to your podcast and he's like, you should
<v Speaker 2>really send him an email and tell him about what happened, honey.
<v Speaker 2>And now it's like, okay, why not, you know, but yeah,
<v Speaker 2>listening to all these stories. I really love what you're doing.
<v Speaker 2>I think it's really fantastic. And to me, it's it's
<v Speaker 2>like an old world way of you know, storytelling. This
<v Speaker 2>is what you know, we all are missing right now,
<v Speaker 2>and I think it's a really wonderful way to reach
<v Speaker 2>people and a wonderful avenue for communicating these these experiences.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, the same way today as it was for the
<v Speaker 1>Native Americans, Like everything was shared like with the world traditions,
<v Speaker 1>and it's the same way with like these cryptods. People
<v Speaker 1>always say, well, where's the proof, where's the pictures? It's like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, but I alid.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, And when you do experience something like that,
<v Speaker 2>the last thing you're thinking about, honestly is picking up
<v Speaker 2>a camera, especially if you're not looking for that experience
<v Speaker 2>and it just happens upon you. Kind of thing. I
<v Speaker 2>really believe that that's why so many of these things
<v Speaker 2>you don't have proof because you just experienced it. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, It's like if a piano is getting ready to
<v Speaker 1>fall on you, or if an earthquake was happening, and
<v Speaker 1>it's like you're not thinking about your phone, You're like
<v Speaker 1>studying what's about to happen to.
<v Speaker 2>You, right right.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like when you guys were camping, like he
<v Speaker 1>just kept going back to sleep because maybe like it
<v Speaker 1>was fear induced. I know sometimes when I'm doing research
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like in my tent trying to go to
<v Speaker 1>bed and I hear something really spooky, sometimes I just
<v Speaker 1>go to bed because it's like I don't want to
<v Speaker 1>get up right now, And as a researcher, I should
<v Speaker 1>be getting up and documenting it, but sometimes I'm so
<v Speaker 1>afraid to where I'm like, uh, I'm going to bed
<v Speaker 1>right right.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's definitely it was. It was scary. It was
<v Speaker 2>scary because whatever it was was huge to be making
<v Speaker 2>that loud of a noise, and yeah, it definitely put
<v Speaker 2>us put me in a space of fear.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, the bigfoot that I encountered when he walked off,
<v Speaker 1>I followed him. I couldn't see him anymore because he
<v Speaker 1>disappeared in the woods. But I could hear him like breathing.
<v Speaker 1>It was just like a like a huffing sound. He
<v Speaker 1>sounded like a big caveman or like a giant bull.
<v Speaker 2>Just like right right right freaky yeah, yep, yeah, especially
<v Speaker 2>when it's that dark out you know, it's just yeah,
<v Speaker 2>we didn't want to see what was out there.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's all funn and games until the sun.
<v Speaker 2>Goes down, right, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, do you got anything else you'd like to share?

<v Speaker 1>Carla's story reminds us that not every bigfoot encounter is
<v Speaker 1>simply about seeing a creature. Sometimes it's about feeling the
<v Speaker 1>presence of something far deeper and older than we can understand.
<v Speaker 1>The Santa Cruz Mountains continue to hold their secrets, the lights,
<v Speaker 1>the dreams, the consciousness of the land itself, and the
<v Speaker 1>possibility that we share this earth with beings we've yet
<v Speaker 1>to truly know. The experience that Carla had when she
<v Speaker 1>was camping really reminds me of bigfoot activity here in
<v Speaker 1>the Ozarks in Missouri. I've had similar experiences where I've
<v Speaker 1>laid down in my camp inside my tent, and i
<v Speaker 1>could hear something big walking around outside, huffing and making
<v Speaker 1>all kinds of noise. In the morning, when I'd get
<v Speaker 1>up and check the area, nothing would be out of place.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't see any tracks, but I definitely heard bipedal
<v Speaker 1>footsteps and something big huffing.
<v Speaker 2>In the night.
<v Speaker 1>I do feel like these things can possibly get into
<v Speaker 1>your dreams. The other night, I was dreaming about an
<v Speaker 1>old research area that I used to go to in
<v Speaker 1>the Mark twenty National Forest, and we were all at
<v Speaker 1>the cabin. Everyone was inside. I walked outside of the
<v Speaker 1>cabin and on the back side of the cabin I
<v Speaker 1>saw a juvenile sasquatch on all fours walking behind the cabin,
<v Speaker 1>and it just looked over at me as to acknowledge
<v Speaker 1>my presence and pretty much kind of saying like, don't
<v Speaker 1>follow me. If you're good, I'm good, don't come near me.
<v Speaker 1>And it was strange. It looked just like the juvenile
<v Speaker 1>that I encountered in real life, except this one was
<v Speaker 1>a red and black color and it had the same eyes,
<v Speaker 1>the same conical shaped head. But it was a really
<v Speaker 1>vivid dream, so it's hard to say exactly what was
<v Speaker 1>going on there, but I can confirm these things can
<v Speaker 1>get in your dreams, or you can have supernatural dreams
<v Speaker 1>about them. That's pretty much all I know. And yeah, Carla,
