<v Speaker 1>it again.

<v Speaker 1>what that feels like.
<v Speaker 2>All right, Welcome, but to everybody everybody's favorite Batman podcast,
<v Speaker 2>Slash White Knight, slash Defender of the poor, the broken,
<v Speaker 2>and the meek. I shall always be here to protect
<v Speaker 2>those in need because it is hard word man. All right,
<v Speaker 2>we have a We have a This is really hard
<v Speaker 2>to talk at this mask, by the way.
<v Speaker 4>Beat him ups, beat him ups man for the bee.
<v Speaker 1>I beat him up. It's what I do.
<v Speaker 2>This mask is so rigid, and it's cutting off O circulation,
<v Speaker 2>and I don't have ear hose, and it's blocking my
<v Speaker 2>nose hole. Why did they block? It goes into my lip.
<v Speaker 2>I can't breathe.
<v Speaker 1>Why shoul it keeps stuttering? It's probably just the thing.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's not starting on my end. I'm watching the
<v Speaker 4>stream as well. I would tell you, Batman, I swear all.
<v Speaker 2>Right, we got a Nintendo Direct today. Let's just carry
<v Speaker 2>on with the show. Uh for Mario cut World A
<v Speaker 2>fifteen sixteen minute and fifty one second Mario cutt World Direct.
<v Speaker 2>Why are you shaking your head? Just reacting to what
<v Speaker 2>I'm saying.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just reacting. You look great, by the way, Thank you.
<v Speaker 1>I feel I feel great.
<v Speaker 2>I feel you look re energized, like ever since I
<v Speaker 2>fired you last week and then rehide you. You look
<v Speaker 2>like you have a whole newly sold Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to earn my job back up. You have
<v Speaker 1>to start back up the ground.
<v Speaker 4>For exactly my last chance.
<v Speaker 1>Guys. Ham is still in Japan, by the way.
<v Speaker 4>Uh, that's that's what we say. That's by that he
<v Speaker 4>means we killed him.
<v Speaker 1>He's dead. We killed him and we buried him. In
<v Speaker 1>the crown. Don't look for the body.
<v Speaker 2>Really struggling. I'm not gonna lie. His mask sucks. Ah yeah,
<v Speaker 2>so what.
<v Speaker 1>Was the Who's I think you need to take the
<v Speaker 1>mask off? Now? I thought that I need to. It
<v Speaker 1>needs to settle in. You have Do you have the doc? Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I got the dock. We can get started, all right.
<v Speaker 2>So we had a Mario coott well direct Actually, can
<v Speaker 2>you you're lugged in?
<v Speaker 1>Now? Can you do a poll in chat? Do you
<v Speaker 1>know how to do that?
<v Speaker 2>I think so now that you're that you have all
<v Speaker 2>the modding abilities over there. Yeah, if you could do
<v Speaker 2>a poll for is Mario cut World worth eighty dollars?
<v Speaker 1>Yes? Or no? Maybe? I don't you do know how
<v Speaker 1>to do it?
<v Speaker 2>Okay, there's a little plus bottom at the bottom of
<v Speaker 2>the chat next to where you type in things. You
<v Speaker 2>hit that plus, I'll do it.
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying. I'm trying.
<v Speaker 2>It's you even said smiley face, so I know you're
<v Speaker 2>looking at it.
<v Speaker 1>It's right next to it.
<v Speaker 2>Oh that plus Okay, it's hard to see in this
<v Speaker 2>as opposed to what plus.
<v Speaker 1>I'm doing it. I'm doing it host the show I got.
<v Speaker 2>It is Mario ctt worth eighty dollars, yes or no.
<v Speaker 2>So we had a Sorry to keep repeating myself, we
<v Speaker 2>had a fifteen minute long Mario cut direct. This whole time,
<v Speaker 2>I have been waiting for this direct to pass final judgment.
<v Speaker 1>To give my final Josh McCall.
<v Speaker 2>On whether or not I feel like Mariocott is eighty.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like this is very divisive because there are
<v Speaker 2>people that think it looks like it's worth eighty, and
<v Speaker 2>there are people that are excited to buy the game regardless,
<v Speaker 2>and I understand that, like especially if Mariokott is your
<v Speaker 2>favorite thing and it has always been your favorite thing.
<v Speaker 2>And there's also an argument around like video game prices,
<v Speaker 2>if you take into account inflation for a MARIOCTT eight released,
<v Speaker 2>it's like eighty five dollars now, so it's like the
<v Speaker 2>same price considering inflation. So there are people that are
<v Speaker 2>making legitimate arguments for it, and I understand that. But
<v Speaker 2>I think where a lot of us are coming from
<v Speaker 2>with the price hike not being okay is if you're
<v Speaker 2>gonna go up to eighty, maybe like give a reason,
<v Speaker 2>maybe have it be on a game where it makes
<v Speaker 2>sense for it to be more, not like to be
<v Speaker 2>honest in the nicest way possible. Another run of the
<v Speaker 2>male mariocart game, Like I set it all in my video,
<v Speaker 2>but yeah, it's flashy, it looks good. It should it's
<v Speaker 2>been ten years since the last one. But like, what's
<v Speaker 2>it really adding other than an open world?
<v Speaker 1>So we could talk about that. I love how you're
<v Speaker 1>just trying to get oxygen in tears.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I really can't breathe. I could probably flip this.
<v Speaker 2>Oh my god, Oh I can breathe. You have like scissors,
<v Speaker 2>like we could kind of no soul. No, he's every
<v Speaker 2>now and then. I would just lift this out so
<v Speaker 2>I can take a quick breath.
<v Speaker 1>Chat. He can't take off his mask or he'd give
<v Speaker 1>away his identity, you know, I am. It is gonna
<v Speaker 1>be really hard to do the show like this though,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not gonna lie.
<v Speaker 4>Don't do it the whole time. Your face is getting red.
<v Speaker 4>They're making me nervous.
<v Speaker 2>It's because it's it's cutting off like oxygen. When I
<v Speaker 2>don't wear it, I can feel it. Please should we
<v Speaker 2>watch the direct I mean it's fifteen minutes long, Like Chat,
<v Speaker 2>what do you think, Like is it worth watching? I
<v Speaker 2>honestly feel like we didn't really get anything new in it.
<v Speaker 4>I mean I personally think that you said we were
<v Speaker 4>talking about it earlier and you were like, there was
<v Speaker 4>this and this, and so I don't know if it's
<v Speaker 4>worth watching.
<v Speaker 2>I mean I can summarize what was new. There's a
<v Speaker 2>rewind feature, and in the open world you can like
<v Speaker 2>collect coins.
<v Speaker 4>Wow, so like, yeah, definitely, can you collect eighty dollars
<v Speaker 4>worth of coins?
<v Speaker 2>People are saying watch it? I mean all right, I
<v Speaker 2>mean wait here, right, like this is the whole thing.
<v Speaker 2>It's only like fifteen minutes, right, yes, it's I mean.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not going to have much to say.
<v Speaker 4>Some people are saying, no, we should I do know
<v Speaker 4>another pole, because it's an overwhelmingly no for it.
<v Speaker 1>Actually, yeah, okay, we've got to do a pole. Should
<v Speaker 1>we react live to the Mario Cott World direct yours? No,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't see the Batman bill, so immediately I lose
<v Speaker 1>ten points. But I did see that you could play
<v Speaker 1>as a penguin now, and that reminds me of Penguin.
<v Speaker 1>That's kind of cool, because you know Penguin. I we
<v Speaker 1>go way back. Oswald.
<v Speaker 4>It's a bad thing. It sounds like you.
<v Speaker 1>Can play as Oswald. Well, It depends who you ask.
<v Speaker 1>There's there's two sides to everybody, just like two face
<v Speaker 1>Harvey Dead. So it's no is leading right now. Oh
<v Speaker 1>you never want to see it. That's leading right now.
<v Speaker 1>Let me see what they're saying.
<v Speaker 4>Uh, Tito Martinez, Yeah, Tino Martinez says, uh, not the
<v Speaker 4>hero we need, but the hero we deserve.
<v Speaker 1>That's me.
<v Speaker 4>This is amazing, that's me so chaotic. You want me
<v Speaker 4>to do the music again? Hold on, hold on. Lots
<v Speaker 4>of things happening, guys. I'm gonna do it.
<v Speaker 1>You got it. It's it's coming out. That's naman. It's
<v Speaker 1>it's like a coffee question food yea. Let me just
<v Speaker 1>summarize it. Then.
<v Speaker 2>So we had a Nintendo direct for the Mario cop
<v Speaker 2>keep repeating myself.
<v Speaker 4>Don't make Batman repeat himself, guys.
<v Speaker 1>And there was.
<v Speaker 2>Nothing now, I mean there's been that. We had the
<v Speaker 2>April second trailer direct.
<v Speaker 1>Look at it. We had like hours of Treehouse we had.
<v Speaker 2>I went and played it at the Experience in New
<v Speaker 2>York and I showed you the footage. There's the main mode,
<v Speaker 2>there's racing in the open world, and then there's, uh,
<v Speaker 2>the the knockout mode. You know, they did add in
<v Speaker 2>it's kind of kind of I gotta be honest, and
<v Speaker 2>I'm just being so negative now it kind of looks
<v Speaker 2>half asked. But they did add in a battle mode
<v Speaker 2>where you have the balloons, and they added in another
<v Speaker 2>version of battle mode that has coins.
<v Speaker 1>That you collect. But other than that, yeah, I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I just I don't I don't know, I don't know
<v Speaker 2>if I'm I don't know what I'm not seeing. You know,
<v Speaker 2>people are saying that it's worth eighty to me, and
<v Speaker 2>if it's worth eighty to you, that's one hundred percent,
<v Speaker 2>Like go for it, like get it, man. Like, if
<v Speaker 2>Mario Cut's your thing and it's worth eighty to you
<v Speaker 2>because you love Mario Cutt, get it. But you do
<v Speaker 2>have to acknowledge that you are being up charged for
<v Speaker 2>your love for Mario cut Like if you're saying, like, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it doesn't look like it has anything going on to
<v Speaker 2>make it worth eighty, but I love Mario cut so
<v Speaker 2>it's worth it to me. Then you're paying for the IP,
<v Speaker 2>you're paying for the privilege of Nintendo making another one,
<v Speaker 2>like and I just feel like that's where it's borderlining on,
<v Speaker 2>Like I wish Nintendo had given us a reason. I
<v Speaker 2>said this in my video today, but at least with
<v Speaker 2>Tears of the Kingdom, they gave us a good reason.
<v Speaker 2>But in Mario Cut, they haven't given us any reason.
<v Speaker 2>They just said it's worth eighty Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I don't know. I don't even know.
<v Speaker 4>If Tears of the Kingdom, I mean, I guess they
<v Speaker 4>gave us a reason why we're paying more than we pay.
<v Speaker 1>For the Switch version.
<v Speaker 4>But you know, I believe that, you know, you should
<v Speaker 4>lower the price of a video game after a couple
<v Speaker 4>of years.
<v Speaker 2>No, I mean I disagree on that one, but I
<v Speaker 2>understand people feel like that. As far as like lowering
<v Speaker 2>the price on games. We talked about that last week.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't ever reiterate stuff. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I just honestly, I don't really even feel like talking
<v Speaker 2>about it. Yeah, I put up a whole video today.
<v Speaker 2>We react to it live like it just is what
<v Speaker 2>it is. It costs eighty dollars. What are you going
<v Speaker 2>to do about it?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we have some things to talk about that on the.
<v Speaker 2>On the Oh my god, seeing me really nervous, guys,
<v Speaker 2>did he do this?
<v Speaker 1>If the stream goes out. Wood has passed out. Just no.
<v Speaker 2>I was in the mirror, by the way, putting on
<v Speaker 2>eyeliner and thinking to myself, this is what Batman before
<v Speaker 2>he goes to fight crime. He puts on eyeline around
<v Speaker 2>the mirror.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, haven't you seen the new the Batman with what's
<v Speaker 4>his name?
<v Speaker 1>No, my screen keeps cutting out. I can't see anything.
<v Speaker 1>Oh you look good. It looks good. It came back.
<v Speaker 3>All right.
<v Speaker 2>We're just gonna move on then, unless you know, unless
<v Speaker 2>you guys have anything to say about it, or you
<v Speaker 2>want to be maybe I'll open it up to chat
<v Speaker 2>quickly and then I'll move on to something else. Ten
<v Speaker 2>dollars from lago, Hey, what how do you feel about
<v Speaker 2>Nintendo having done this before? Castlevania four released for the
<v Speaker 2>price of seventy two, ninety nine and nineteen ninety one,
<v Speaker 2>while other games were forty and sixty adjusted for inflation.
<v Speaker 2>That's one seventy five Castlevania four?
<v Speaker 1>Is that not cap God? Why am I blinking? Who
<v Speaker 1>makes Castlevania?
<v Speaker 4>Because the mask is too total? It's not Nintendo, Konami Kanami?
<v Speaker 1>Thank you? Sorry? Yeah, that's Konami, isn't it? Yeah? It
<v Speaker 1>ist Why are we pinning that on Nintendo? Uh? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's good. Don't tell Nintendo. But I'm more excited about
<v Speaker 1>Donkey Kong.
<v Speaker 4>I think we all are. I think that's a unanimous thing.
<v Speaker 1>I all are. Yeah, I agree.
<v Speaker 2>I've been saying for a long time that we are
<v Speaker 2>lucky when it comes to video game prices being sixty
<v Speaker 2>for so long. When they made the jump to seventy,
<v Speaker 2>I understood, and I tried to rationalize it with my
<v Speaker 2>audience and have some conversations about it, about how sixty
<v Speaker 2>dollars even fifteen years ago is like eighty ninety dollars now,
<v Speaker 2>And for some reason, video game prices have never gone
<v Speaker 2>up with inflation, even though everything else has, even regardless
<v Speaker 2>of the fact that to make a video game cost
<v Speaker 2>million dollars more now than they used to fifteen years ago.
<v Speaker 2>And then you look at Super Nintendo Days. Games were
<v Speaker 2>like fifty sixty seventy dollars back then, which is like
<v Speaker 2>one hundred and fifty dollars now, and those games cost
<v Speaker 2>like one hundred grand to make, like they were made
<v Speaker 2>on such small budgets. So we've been lucky that video
<v Speaker 2>game prices haven't gone up. So when they went up
<v Speaker 2>to seventy, I was actually okay with it. I was like,
<v Speaker 2>all right, it makes sense we do to start increasing prices.
<v Speaker 2>If we expect developers to invest millions dollars into the game,
<v Speaker 2>then the games are gonna cost more. They're gonna go
<v Speaker 2>up with inflation. The better quality the game, the better
<v Speaker 2>the more they cost. But we only just did seventy
<v Speaker 2>a short while ago. To already do eighty is like, okay,
<v Speaker 2>let's pump the brakes a little, because then it's going
<v Speaker 2>to be ninety in a couple of years, one hundred
<v Speaker 2>and a couple of years. And to be honest, even
<v Speaker 2>if that's even if it keeps going at this rate,
<v Speaker 2>because once Nintendo does eighty and GTA most likely does
<v Speaker 2>one hundred because Rockstar is already talking about charging more
<v Speaker 2>for that game, then all of a sudden, the floodgates
<v Speaker 2>are open and Ubisoft can charge whatever, and this company
<v Speaker 2>can charge whatever. And I feel like we are about
<v Speaker 2>to enter the wild West of every company just doing
<v Speaker 2>this variable pricing. So my thing is, if we're doing
<v Speaker 2>that now, if it's already happening, can we have some
<v Speaker 2>explanation as to why this game is eighty or why
<v Speaker 2>this game is one hundred, or why this game is fifty?
<v Speaker 1>Like, what's the.
<v Speaker 2>Explanation behind this one being eighty? Or is it all
<v Speaker 2>arbitrary and it's eighty because you love Mario Kutt?
<v Speaker 1>What are you going to do, little piss boy.
<v Speaker 4>That's what it feels like to me. That's what it
<v Speaker 4>feels like. It feels like, we know this is going
<v Speaker 4>to sell a lot, so we're gonna charge as much
<v Speaker 4>as we can for That's what it feels like to me.
<v Speaker 2>It's what it feels like to everybody. And I keep
<v Speaker 2>feeling like a broken record. But they justified it with
<v Speaker 2>Tears of the Kingdom. They made a whole big deal
<v Speaker 2>about it. The developer came out, he was like, look,
<v Speaker 2>we've been working on this for five years. We've poured
<v Speaker 2>so much love into this and so much effort into this,
<v Speaker 2>so we're going to have to charge seventy. And it
<v Speaker 2>was in the time of other companies just charging seventy
<v Speaker 2>because they felt like it, and he's Nintendo doing it
<v Speaker 2>one time and they come with an apology and an
<v Speaker 2>explanation and it was like, oh okay, and it made
<v Speaker 2>us like it made me happy to pay seventy. I
<v Speaker 2>was like, okay, I'll support you, like like giving ten
<v Speaker 2>dollars to a Patreon for a YouTuber that I watch.
<v Speaker 2>It was like, okay, I will support you in this endeavor, Nintendo.
<v Speaker 2>But I just saying eighty and not giving us a reason.
<v Speaker 2>It's like, well, then, why did we have a hole
<v Speaker 2>to do about Tears of the Kingdom? And why is
<v Speaker 2>Donkey Kong only seventy? Does Donkey Kong suck?
<v Speaker 4>These are questions. These are questions that we've been asking.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I agree anyway, I'm over it.
<v Speaker 2>I'm also I can't do it. Please, I'm afraid you're
<v Speaker 2>gonna pass out. Oh God, dude, you really.
<v Speaker 1>Haven't seen the recent Batman movie.
<v Speaker 4>You look exactly like what's his name, dude, Robert Pattinson.
<v Speaker 1>Robert Pattinson, You look exactly.
<v Speaker 2>There is so much sweat in this mask already from
<v Speaker 2>the twenty minutes I've had it on, it was cutting
<v Speaker 2>into my nose.
<v Speaker 1>Ho late, here, I have a backup one.
<v Speaker 2>I bought a really expensive, like movie grade one for
<v Speaker 2>the bit and it's awesome like that, it does look awesome,
<v Speaker 2>but god damn, here, I'm gonna put on this crappy one.
<v Speaker 1>Oh that's so much nicer. Can you breathe?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you're maker be real nervous, dude.
<v Speaker 1>Your face is getting red.
<v Speaker 4>Oh as zero Yeah, because you're you're it was cutting
<v Speaker 4>off very light. Yeah yeah, your face was getting very rare.
<v Speaker 2>That was brutal. I'm not gonna lie, all right, So
<v Speaker 2>worried I'd have to give you like CPR or something
<v Speaker 2>that Lago says sorry Casoventi or four was the one
<v Speaker 2>I remember. Donkey Kong Country two was eighty on release,
<v Speaker 2>earth Bound was ninety.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Back on Super Nintendo days, prices were like the wild West,
<v Speaker 2>and then they got locked in at sixty. Yeah, and
<v Speaker 2>they've been sixty for a long time. I mean, if
<v Speaker 2>you if you're okay, we're going back to the wild West.
<v Speaker 2>I mean you think about what eighty dollars is back then.
<v Speaker 2>Now it's like one hundred and fifty hundred and sixty
<v Speaker 2>dollars or something, and we're literally entering a recession right now.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, like people can't.
<v Speaker 2>Afford it, Like, okay, you want to go back to
<v Speaker 2>one hundred and fifty dollars? Games essentially adjusted for inflation
<v Speaker 2>for every game. I mean, I don't know, I've been
<v Speaker 2>playing a lot more indies. I'll tell you that because
<v Speaker 2>I'm not. My whole career is games, and I wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>even be buying games at one hundred and fifty unless
<v Speaker 2>I explicitly had to review them or wanted to review them. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>but you know, like like some I'm looking over there
<v Speaker 2>at my games, Like Metaphor came out recently. I picked
<v Speaker 2>up that Plaguetail sequel. Those are for funsies for me.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't really talk about them really. I think I
<v Speaker 2>talked about Metaphor in the end quickly. But if they
<v Speaker 2>were one fifty, nah, No, I would get those when
<v Speaker 2>they were forty on sale.
<v Speaker 4>But yeah, recently, I mean, you know, I'm a gamer
<v Speaker 4>around a budget, and recently I don't buy games when
<v Speaker 4>they come out because they always go on sale. I
<v Speaker 4>won't buy a new game unless it has a multiplayer
<v Speaker 4>that I'm interested in.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that makes sense. I'm big into picking up multiplayer
<v Speaker 2>games lately because they're always free and you can play
<v Speaker 2>them with friends.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, exactly.
<v Speaker 4>But you know, like like for example, if like Gears
<v Speaker 4>of War six came out, I would buy that right
<v Speaker 4>away because I'd want to be vague. Hundred fifty I
<v Speaker 4>wouldn't buy it at one hundred and fifty.
<v Speaker 1>What's your limit?
<v Speaker 4>My limit? Honestly, my limit is like eighty dollars. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>like if I could afford if when Mario, when the
<v Speaker 4>new switch comes out, if I can get the new switch,
<v Speaker 4>I will get Mario Kart. But the eighty is my
<v Speaker 4>absolute limit. I wouldn't buy anything for more than that.
<v Speaker 2>I think what's going to happen here, in all honesty
<v Speaker 2>is we're all annoyed because it's not, well, it's not
<v Speaker 2>essentially what we agree to, not that we really actually
<v Speaker 2>agree to anything or we have any say in it.
<v Speaker 2>But I think we all as a community kind of
<v Speaker 2>let the seventy dollar thing happen without too much of
<v Speaker 2>a stink, because we understood. But I think what's about
<v Speaker 2>to happen is we're about to enter the wild West
<v Speaker 2>again of eighty dollars games. And then, as I said,
<v Speaker 2>GDA doing the one hundred, and what's going to happen
<v Speaker 2>is people are going to be pissed, and then people
<v Speaker 2>are not going to get over it, but they're going
<v Speaker 2>to get bored of being upset, and it's all going
<v Speaker 2>to level out and people are going to buy games
<v Speaker 2>and that's just what it is. And you know, you
<v Speaker 2>think about if I can try and draw a correlation
<v Speaker 2>that maybe doesn't work here. You think about you go
<v Speaker 2>to Starbucks now and you get a car. I went
<v Speaker 2>to Starbucks yesterday and I got a nitro colbrew and
<v Speaker 2>I asked them to put a little bit of cream
<v Speaker 2>in and it was seven dollars fifty. And as I
<v Speaker 2>bought it, I was like, this, this coffee they're pouring
<v Speaker 2>from a tap is seven dollars fifty. Wouldn't they sell
<v Speaker 2>twice as much if it was four dollars or three dollars? Like,
<v Speaker 2>who's paying seven dollars? You obviously, But the reality is
<v Speaker 2>I went and I bought it for seven dollars, and
<v Speaker 2>clearly that company justifies marking it up at that price,
<v Speaker 2>even though in my brain, I'm like, you'd sell twice
<v Speaker 2>as much at half the price. And I think that's
<v Speaker 2>what's happening here. I think these companies like Nintendo, they
<v Speaker 2>know that a lot of people aren't going to be
<v Speaker 2>able to afford it. They know that a lot of
<v Speaker 2>people won't buy it at eighty, but they know that
<v Speaker 2>that a lot of people will buy it at eighty,
<v Speaker 2>and it will make up the difference because for every
<v Speaker 2>what eight people that buy it, for one that boycott's,
<v Speaker 2>they've made the boycott back. Yeah, and there are people
<v Speaker 2>that will buy it. So ultimately we can sit here
<v Speaker 2>and be like, no one's gonna buy it if they
<v Speaker 2>raise the price to one hundred, But if five people
<v Speaker 2>buy it at one hundred, that makes up for the
<v Speaker 2>one guy that doesn't. So it's the same if if
<v Speaker 2>five guys the restaurant. No, if ten people come through
<v Speaker 2>a Starbucks drive through and buy a seven dollar coffee,
<v Speaker 2>it makes up for the three people that didn't because
<v Speaker 2>it was too expensive. That's just you can't. It's just
<v Speaker 2>the world we live in. I guess that's just what
<v Speaker 2>it's going to be. So people are gonna be upset
<v Speaker 2>and then people are gonna get over it and they're
<v Speaker 2>either going to buy the prices or they're not gonna
<v Speaker 2>be able to afford them. And that's the reality of
<v Speaker 2>what's about to happen. And that's why people are upset,
<v Speaker 2>and they're upset at Nintendo right now because Nintendo are
<v Speaker 2>the ones that's pulling the trigger to begin with, because
<v Speaker 2>they're the first people to do it. But they are
<v Speaker 2>not going to be the last. This is the start. Honestly,
<v Speaker 2>if they didn't do it, GTA would have and then
<v Speaker 2>Rockstar would have got all the flack and they probably
<v Speaker 2>still will. But yeah, Nintendo are just the first to
<v Speaker 2>do it, so they're copying all the crap and that's
<v Speaker 2>the reality. That's what I think, the reality of what's
<v Speaker 2>happening right now.
<v Speaker 4>I mean GTA is going to be like one hundred dollars?
<v Speaker 4>Am I wrong? Isn't that like what I think?
<v Speaker 3>So?
<v Speaker 1>I think it's going to be like one hundred bucks.
<v Speaker 2>The guy someone making GTA, or like the publisher or something,
<v Speaker 2>they said that games should be charged on a price
<v Speaker 2>value of hours played, which makes zero sense to me. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>I could I've played Stardo Valley for like three hundred
<v Speaker 2>hours and that game was fifteen dollars.
<v Speaker 1>What am I supposed to do?
<v Speaker 2>Pay one hundred bucks for Stardoo Valley?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that makes no sense to me.
<v Speaker 2>There's like Ratchet and Clank was eight hours long, big
<v Speaker 2>budget game, all this music effects, really quality game that
<v Speaker 2>was seventy It was eight hours long, low, So shouldn't
<v Speaker 2>that game be like twenty bucks?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, that's a great question. I have dumb I have
<v Speaker 4>a question for you. I mean, I'm a movie guy,
<v Speaker 4>you're more of a game guy. What why are games
<v Speaker 4>so much more expensive than movies?
<v Speaker 2>It's a good question. Let me break it down, let
<v Speaker 2>me think about it, let me give me let me
<v Speaker 2>give me a second.
<v Speaker 1>What game? What Movie's?
<v Speaker 4>Okay, let's just say, should I start googling like prices
<v Speaker 4>of like like how much like the most recent Captain
<v Speaker 4>America movie, for example, costs? How the movie tickets haven't
<v Speaker 4>gone up from twenty and like knock on goddamn?
<v Speaker 1>Would please? Yeah? I guess.
<v Speaker 2>I mean they're twenty bucks or like the Blu rays
<v Speaker 2>or whatever are thirty, but like you watch them in
<v Speaker 2>an hour, So I don't know if they can justify
<v Speaker 2>like charging any more because and it's someone's time you're
<v Speaker 2>asking for. I think when you make a movie, So
<v Speaker 2>who's going to value that time at like eighty dollars
<v Speaker 2>for an hour of watching a movie?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah?
<v Speaker 4>I don't know if it's so much about justifying the movie,
<v Speaker 4>But I mean the cost of making a movie is
<v Speaker 4>probably similar to the cost of making a game. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>in many cases I would agree with that. Yeah, So
<v Speaker 4>then why would the price be so different? Because I mean,
<v Speaker 4>you're still experiencing the movie, and the movie will live
<v Speaker 4>in your mind.
<v Speaker 1>I don't really have an answer for you right now.
<v Speaker 2>That's fair. You're raising a great question. Yeah that maybe
<v Speaker 2>chat can give an answer to what that could be.
<v Speaker 2>I think I think video games. Look up, let's do
<v Speaker 2>some googling. Let's shut this out, let's get to the
<v Speaker 2>bottom of this. How much your Captain America custom make.
<v Speaker 2>Let's ride this thought train. It costs one hundred plus
<v Speaker 2>dollars to take your family to the movies for two hours.
<v Speaker 2>That's a good point. You do have to pay per
<v Speaker 2>person per person. That's actually a great point. I think
<v Speaker 2>about that. Thank you for whoever said that. Do you
<v Speaker 2>think the gaming will become more of a status symbol
<v Speaker 2>based on the pricing in this economy? That would be
<v Speaker 2>a consequence of the Starbucks analogy. That's also a very
<v Speaker 2>good question. This is getting very thoughtful for Batman.
<v Speaker 1>Um sure.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe possibly depends how expensive it gets. I think more
<v Speaker 2>so in reality is a lot of people buy a
<v Speaker 2>lot of games. I don't know what the I'd be
<v Speaker 2>interesting to look at the average household for a gamer,
<v Speaker 2>how many games they py they buy a year. I
<v Speaker 2>think in reality, people will pick and choose games more carefully.
<v Speaker 2>So I don't think people that really wanted to buy
<v Speaker 2>GDA five or six won't buy it because it's one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>I think they won't buy two other games because they'll
<v Speaker 2>want to save up for GTA six. So I think
<v Speaker 2>the the money, the pricing, the wealth or whatever will
<v Speaker 2>get split differently between games in a household at that point.
<v Speaker 2>Because my point is, I think most gamers, most gaming
<v Speaker 2>people buy multiple games a year. I wouldn't even be
<v Speaker 2>surprised if most gamers buy at least one game a
<v Speaker 2>month or something like that on average. I'd be interested
<v Speaker 2>to know what the actual average is on that, and
<v Speaker 2>you would probably just cut down how much people are
<v Speaker 2>buying games, but they would prioritize the ones they really want.
<v Speaker 1>Please say, swear to me, swear to me? Where is she?
<v Speaker 1>Where are the drugs going?
<v Speaker 2>GDA is one hundred. Also, that's a good point. I
<v Speaker 2>am working under the assumption that GTA will be one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>Here I hit the t in that because most people
<v Speaker 2>make fun of me for calling it GDA.
<v Speaker 1>GDA Okay, so I got some numbers for you? Ready
<v Speaker 1>for him? Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>One second, som my assumption, based on what people that
<v Speaker 2>work at Rockstar and the publishers and developers are saying,
<v Speaker 2>is that this game is going to cost anywhere between
<v Speaker 2>a hundred to one hundred and fifteen dollars. That's the rumor,
<v Speaker 2>because yeah, that's just the rumor that that is coming
<v Speaker 2>out of rock Star. That's going to cost a lot
<v Speaker 2>of money because it this is the most expensive game
<v Speaker 2>ever made, and they're trying to get money back. I
<v Speaker 2>guess I don't know, I ask them hit me.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, So, according to some quick research, the Breath of
<v Speaker 4>the Wild Legend of Zelda was one hundred and million
<v Speaker 4>to make, yeah, and Captain America Brave New World. The
<v Speaker 4>most recent Captain America was one hundred and eighty million.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, so like half the price.
<v Speaker 4>A little bit a little bit more than half, yeah,
<v Speaker 4>but yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Lower less than half you made. I'm terrible at math,
<v Speaker 1>so you're right, I'm not gonna correct. Yeah. And then
<v Speaker 1>Duse to the Kingdom sold for seventy but then tickets
<v Speaker 1>to the movie sold for twenty. Yeah, So why why
<v Speaker 1>are we doing the question? Give me a minute. That's
<v Speaker 1>an average two twenty.
<v Speaker 2>Because I've been to the cinema near me, and like
<v Speaker 2>watch movies in IMAX or three D or whatever for
<v Speaker 2>an adult, And it's been like thirty dollars a ticket
<v Speaker 2>or like thirty two dollars a ticket, and then Kim
<v Speaker 2>and I both get a ticket, and now we're at
<v Speaker 2>like sixty I've legitimately gone to date nights with Kim
<v Speaker 2>for like sixty bucks for a ticket. So and then,
<v Speaker 2>as someone in chat pointed out, you go with friends
<v Speaker 2>or you go with the whole family, it can easily
<v Speaker 2>start approaching one hundred. So I think there is a
<v Speaker 2>closer one for one there than we realize. But also
<v Speaker 2>again you have to think about even though one cost
<v Speaker 2>this much and one cost this much, the entertainment value
<v Speaker 2>from a movie is only about an hour and a half,
<v Speaker 2>and you can only ask people so much for that
<v Speaker 2>hour and a half. And the most I've seen the
<v Speaker 2>mask for that is like thirty bucks. And I think
<v Speaker 2>when you when you ask someone to pay eighty dollars
<v Speaker 2>to go watch them, I don't think anyone's gonna do that.
<v Speaker 2>They're gonna wait for a streaming service or something.
<v Speaker 4>So question you, so you think that it's not worth
<v Speaker 4>buying Breath of the Wild if you're not gonna beat it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think that's pretty fair. I think yeah, I
<v Speaker 2>think so. Like if you're not if you buy a
<v Speaker 2>game for full price and you don't think you're gonna
<v Speaker 2>beat it, or you don't think you're gonna put enough
<v Speaker 2>time into it to get your money out of it, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>i'd say it's not worth it. You should definitely buy
<v Speaker 2>a game you think you'll commit to finishing. I know
<v Speaker 2>sometimes you don't always know that going into it, but yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I mean if the blanket question is is it worth
<v Speaker 2>sixty if you don't finish it, I think there's diminishing
<v Speaker 2>returns at some point. I think if I was to
<v Speaker 2>this is random, but if I was to put sixty
<v Speaker 2>dollars on Breath of the Wild, I would say, after
<v Speaker 2>like twenty twenty five, you've probably got your money back
<v Speaker 2>and then you push through to the end and it's
<v Speaker 2>a pretty good value game considering other sixties on the
<v Speaker 2>market at the time. But that's just I'm just throwing
<v Speaker 2>things out there roughly, just thinking off the top of
<v Speaker 2>my door.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I mean, I mean this we could go forever on. Like,
<v Speaker 4>you know, why is the camera TU button not working?
<v Speaker 4>It has stopped working. Okay, but has stopped working. Yeah, look,
<v Speaker 4>unplug and replug in the stream deck and.
<v Speaker 2>See if it helps. Youve got to go buy the
<v Speaker 2>USB and follow the cord. Don't pull out the wrong thing.
<v Speaker 2>When you see a movie, you're just renting it. There
<v Speaker 2>no ownership, no replays. That's another good point. I will
<v Speaker 2>say that you also don't own a video game when
<v Speaker 2>you buy it, but that's semantics because you do technically
<v Speaker 2>have the right to keep playing it.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, you can see me now, yeah, I mean you
<v Speaker 4>go into forever about you know the the I.
<v Speaker 2>Think a more comparable comparison is like buying the movie,
<v Speaker 2>like buying the Blu Ray for like thirty dollars, because
<v Speaker 2>going to a movie, you are also paying you're kind
<v Speaker 2>of paying a fee to use the facility, right like
<v Speaker 2>the people work there, they keep it clean. That's all
<v Speaker 2>counted into that ticket as well. So I think a
<v Speaker 2>more comparable comparison there is buying a Blu Ray, which,
<v Speaker 2>again you buy a Blue Ray at home thirty bucks.
<v Speaker 2>Everyone could watch it and you can lend it out
<v Speaker 2>and borrow it, so that probably is a better comparison
<v Speaker 2>to a video game. But again it's like an hour
<v Speaker 2>and a half. So, and most people watch a movie once,
<v Speaker 2>maybe twice. So I think it's just the value proposition
<v Speaker 2>that that media gives somebody also is factored into the value,
<v Speaker 2>not just how much money it makes.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, time to make it, I guess. I mean, I'm
<v Speaker 4>just curious because it's like it. As you can see
<v Speaker 4>from those numbers, it costs almost the same, if not more,
<v Speaker 4>to make a movie. Someone said blue rays are ten
<v Speaker 4>to twenty. I want to live in that world. They're
<v Speaker 4>ten to twenty, like after a couple of years, after
<v Speaker 4>a while while, Yeah, but new ones are like thirty bucks.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, definitely. Yeah, I'm just talking out my eyes. Really,
<v Speaker 1>I'm just being asked questions and I'm trying to answer them. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, movie this is, this is just the
<v Speaker 1>situation we're in. I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>I don't control it. People are saying movies don't get patches.
<v Speaker 4>That's not always true. I Disney plus, But then.
<v Speaker 2>If you watch the original Star Wars before all the CGI,
<v Speaker 2>that's the ultimate patch before he came in and he
<v Speaker 2>patched it, the George Lucas patch.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean video games do we get patches? That's true?
<v Speaker 1>NDoc and support post launch. I I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what that. I really don't know what
<v Speaker 2>that conversation. I don't I would like to know. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>so let's try this.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. It cost one hundred million to make what Breath
<v Speaker 1>of the Wild?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and Breath of the Wild sold about thirty million
<v Speaker 2>copies that I don't know it did.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I believe you.
<v Speaker 2>Thirty million times sixty that's one hundred and eighty million dollars.
<v Speaker 2>So it cost them one hundred million to make. They
<v Speaker 2>made one hundred and eighty million, so they almost doubled
<v Speaker 2>their profits. That's not a crazy if my math is correct,
<v Speaker 2>that's not a crazy profit margin. Like it's almost like double.
<v Speaker 2>But you would hope, you know, when you make anything,
<v Speaker 2>you hope to double your money on it. Right for
<v Speaker 2>the most part, I mean, that's like bare minimum. Maybe
<v Speaker 2>maybe I'm wrong. I don't think it's that crazy of
<v Speaker 2>a profit. It's not like, you know, it cost them
<v Speaker 2>one hundred million and they made a billion. It cost
<v Speaker 2>him one hundred million and they made what one hundred
<v Speaker 2>and eighty I'm just talking out loud. I'm just I'm
<v Speaker 2>just theorizing one point eight billion. Oh yeah, was my
<v Speaker 2>was my math way off?
<v Speaker 1>Maybe I didn't. I didn't do it sixty times? Hold on,
<v Speaker 1>let me do it again. I'm batman. I don't have
<v Speaker 1>to do math. Yeah. A lot of people are saying
<v Speaker 1>billion sixty times thirty. You forgot a zero? Yeah. A
<v Speaker 1>couple of people say I forgot a zero? Thanks chat.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's one point a billion. Yep, goddamn, I'm sorry,
<v Speaker 2>dumb pissload of money on that? Didn't they They did?
<v Speaker 2>They made a pissload. Holy that's a huge margin of
<v Speaker 2>that's insane. Okay, if I could just jump in real quickly.
<v Speaker 2>We got somebody that said, did it not take five
<v Speaker 2>years to make Breath of the Wild? Okay, so movies
<v Speaker 2>do take that long. You may not think that because
<v Speaker 2>they're shot in six months, but like writing it, getting
<v Speaker 2>everybody on.
<v Speaker 1>The boards minimum, Yeah, normally, you know what I mean.
<v Speaker 4>I would say it would take five years, especially in
<v Speaker 4>like the Marvel cinematic use in the universe. You got
<v Speaker 4>to make sure everything fits together, so you're planning. I
<v Speaker 4>don't know if it'll it will tell you.
<v Speaker 2>I wouldn't be surprised if they turn Marvel movies around
<v Speaker 2>from from inception to release, and you have to count
<v Speaker 2>in marketing and everything too. Three years, I mean, there's
<v Speaker 2>usually a pretty long wind. They don't just like I know,
<v Speaker 2>they seem rushed sometimes, but they don't just call up
<v Speaker 2>all the actors and they're like, hey, can you meet
<v Speaker 2>us next week? We're going to start shooting a Captain America.
<v Speaker 2>There is actually quite a lot of planning. Max is right.
<v Speaker 2>I would say you could probably turn a Marvel movie
<v Speaker 2>around in three years.
<v Speaker 1>I'm doing some googling. Uh, what would a good one
<v Speaker 1>hundred a game look like to you? Probably GTA?
<v Speaker 2>I mean I haven't seen it, but you know, with
<v Speaker 2>how long they've been working on it and the quality
<v Speaker 2>of Red Dead, I'm willing to believe GTA would be
<v Speaker 2>one hundred dollars game. Will Zelda cost one twenty? Greetings
<v Speaker 2>from Brooklyn?
<v Speaker 1>Who knows? Who knows?
<v Speaker 2>I mean, at this point, I'm honestly kind of sick
<v Speaker 2>of it. I don't know what to say, Like, what
<v Speaker 2>are we gonna do? There's nothing we can do. They're
<v Speaker 2>not going to change anything, So this is this is it?
<v Speaker 2>Now gas games have variable pricing. Now, there's no set
<v Speaker 2>pricing to video games. Bravely default Flying Ferry is forty,
<v Speaker 2>I think, which is a good sign. I mean, it
<v Speaker 2>might be just like a good favor from Nintendo that
<v Speaker 2>they made that one forty. But at the same time,
<v Speaker 2>I don't really even want to buy or play that one,
<v Speaker 2>so it doesn't really help me. Donkey Kong's only seventy.
<v Speaker 2>But I could definitely see the next Zelda being eighty.
<v Speaker 2>There's no shot. It's not the next Mario three D
<v Speaker 2>World that's eighty, you know, unless they go higher.
<v Speaker 1>That sucks. That's so sad.
<v Speaker 2>I heard GTA six will cost one hundred and twenty.
<v Speaker 2>There's rumors all over the place for that.
<v Speaker 1>To answer your question, you were right about three.
<v Speaker 2>Years, yeah, which is still like a lot of some
<v Speaker 2>game developments take three years. Most most take three years. Actually,
<v Speaker 2>Zelda is like a special case, special case. It took
<v Speaker 2>a long time on that forty one cord Key game. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>the card Key game doesn't matter though in that situation,
<v Speaker 2>because it's still forty digital and and you know, Mayra
<v Speaker 2>Cut's eighty digital eighty physical, So I know the cord
<v Speaker 2>Key sucks, but it's a difference. It's a different conversation,
<v Speaker 2>it's a different kind of suck. It's a different kind
<v Speaker 2>of suck, but I agree with you, it does suck.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>Do you have any news about the Hoary split pad pro? No,
<v Speaker 2>I don't, but I do appreciate the conversation shift.
<v Speaker 1>We could just change conversation at this point. Honestly, I do.
<v Speaker 2>Honestly, I'm kind of over it. I've been up since
<v Speaker 2>eight am. I reacted to the direct. I gave all
<v Speaker 2>of my thoughts that are alive on the direct still
<v Speaker 2>that I was pretty disappointed. I made it beat them
<v Speaker 2>Up's video, pretty disappointed, and then we've talked about it
<v Speaker 2>in this pretty disappointed. I want to reiterate again where
<v Speaker 2>my disappointment is coming from. It's just from Nintendo. I
<v Speaker 2>guess the air of arrogance. It almost feels like that
<v Speaker 2>they didn't have to justify it, and it's just like, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it's eighty now because it's really good, guys, trust us,
<v Speaker 2>we promise. Just kind of feels like a little bit
<v Speaker 2>of a slap in the face. After Tas of the Kingdom,
<v Speaker 2>they went so out of their way to justify seventy.
<v Speaker 2>It's just now it's eighty, and you also have to
<v Speaker 2>pay more for the console, and you also have to
<v Speaker 2>pay for our packing game, and also the seed button
<v Speaker 2>you have to pay for that too. And also we're
<v Speaker 2>adding in a camera that you can buy as an
<v Speaker 2>add on and that's fifty dollars. It's just a lot happening,
<v Speaker 2>I think. And also I said this in my video
<v Speaker 2>and I found this out today. But a lot of
<v Speaker 2>people are saying, oh, but there's a bundle. You can
<v Speaker 2>get it in the bundle, and it's thirty dollars cheaper.
<v Speaker 2>That's only until four all wild stocks last, and then
<v Speaker 2>you have to There is no bundle after that, so
<v Speaker 2>unless you get one Day one, which is obviously why
<v Speaker 2>they're doing that, which is a smart idea, and a
<v Speaker 2>lot of people will do that. At launch, still an
<v Speaker 2>eighty dollar game. That bundle doesn't change that it's an
<v Speaker 2>eighty dollar game. It's kind of a moot point in
<v Speaker 2>my opinion. But at launch, yes, you can save money
<v Speaker 2>if you don't care that you're getting a digital but yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that is a good deal. I recommend it.
<v Speaker 4>Aren't you a billionaire though? Can't you afford it?
<v Speaker 1>That's true, I can afford everything.
<v Speaker 2>Look also, to Max's point, I can't afford it, you know,
<v Speaker 2>especially because I claim it all on taxes.
<v Speaker 1>I can afford it, but that.
<v Speaker 2>Doesn't mean that I'm not gonna be annoyed by it
<v Speaker 2>or upset by it, or like feel like Nintendo taking
<v Speaker 2>advantage of us and the fact that I can afford it,
<v Speaker 2>you know, in that case, and also like my audience,
<v Speaker 2>my audience wants to be able to afford it.
<v Speaker 1>My audience wants to be able to buy it.
<v Speaker 2>And I would love, as a creator to be able
<v Speaker 2>to say to you guys, I can see its value.
<v Speaker 2>I can see it's worth eighty If you can't afford it,
<v Speaker 2>that sucks. But I can see its value, and I
<v Speaker 2>do think it's worth it, and it makes sense, and
<v Speaker 2>it's cool that Nintendo have put this much work into it,
<v Speaker 2>even though they knew they'd have to charge more or
<v Speaker 2>something like that, you know. But I can't say that
<v Speaker 2>because I legitimately can't see it. So I'm just stuck
<v Speaker 2>in this weird position where like, I'm excited for the game.
<v Speaker 2>I think it looks like a fun Mario cut, but
<v Speaker 2>I don't see eighty dollars.
<v Speaker 1>And that's it.
<v Speaker 2>That's my whole thing, that's my whole take, take it
<v Speaker 2>or leave it, sorry about it.
<v Speaker 1>I love you though.
<v Speaker 4>If I could just jump in just I know we're
<v Speaker 4>trying to move on, we will, But just to answer
<v Speaker 4>one question, we got two dollars Luis. He says, do
<v Speaker 4>we know how long it took them to make Mario
<v Speaker 4>Kart World? Apparently that also took three years?
<v Speaker 1>Oh? Yeah, did you google that? I sure did? Wow,
<v Speaker 1>that's who said that. Who asked the question? Said? Who
<v Speaker 1>said it took three years? Google? Oh? I don't know
<v Speaker 1>how true it is, But what did they say?
<v Speaker 2>Because sometimes they lead articles that you can click on
<v Speaker 2>and make sure and double check, because I assumed at
<v Speaker 2>eighty they've been working on it for like ten years.
<v Speaker 2>All right, well, MAXI finds that. Yeah, can we get
<v Speaker 2>a vibe check on chat? Like, how do you feel
<v Speaker 2>about what I'm saying? Is it fairly on point? Are
<v Speaker 2>you mostly agreeing? Do you think I'm off base? Is
<v Speaker 2>there anything else you want to ask? Should we just
<v Speaker 2>move on? Because at this point I feel like it's
<v Speaker 2>time for everybody to move on. Unfortunately, I feel like
<v Speaker 2>it just is what it is and there's nothing we
<v Speaker 2>can do about it.
<v Speaker 4>So it came up in the Mario Kart World Wikipedia.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, well, just I'll just believe you. I'll believe you,
<v Speaker 2>and I'll believe the Wikipedia.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, I mean it. I know they definitely sourced it.
<v Speaker 4>That's why I'm bringing up Wikipedia.
<v Speaker 2>Oh okay, but yeah, that's that's that's where it's definitely.
<v Speaker 2>Chat is saying agree. I'm going to read it in order,
<v Speaker 2>so I'm not cherry picking on point. I agree with Batman,
<v Speaker 2>agreed on point, on point, on hundredercent, agreed based yes
<v Speaker 2>and sad agreed same agree drop the price, Nope, you right,
<v Speaker 2>Nintendo our a joke, completely fair, all right, So I
<v Speaker 2>feel good about that. Common census is pretty good about that.
<v Speaker 2>Before we pivot into the next thing. Speaking of agreeing
<v Speaker 2>with me, I want to thank you guys uh for
<v Speaker 2>the last episode. I we ended it on kind of
<v Speaker 2>a rough note. I hit them my prophone is everything?
<v Speaker 1>Okay? Yeah, I thought I messed up. No, I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 1>Don't look at my face as I will look constantly.
<v Speaker 1>I will look directly. I will look directly. I've lost
<v Speaker 1>everybody else.
<v Speaker 2>I will look directly in your eyes if we're in trouble.
<v Speaker 2>But it's not gonna help because I can't see it.
<v Speaker 1>Embarished in a fire now he's, well, that sounds good.
<v Speaker 1>Actually I would eat that.
<v Speaker 2>Uh yeah, last episode kind of got it was kind
<v Speaker 2>of a weird thing at the end there, and you know,
<v Speaker 2>we ended, and some comments came in initially and I
<v Speaker 2>was like, I can't even read this, and I kind
<v Speaker 2>of kind of well owed in self pity there for
<v Speaker 2>a couple of days, and then I just got over it,
<v Speaker 2>and I refused to look at the comments because I
<v Speaker 2>just it's I was trying to listen to E and
<v Speaker 2>Bob screaming in my ear, not to look at comments.
<v Speaker 2>So I just refused to look at them and just
<v Speaker 2>assumed it was a complete, a complete s h I T.
<v Speaker 1>Show.
<v Speaker 2>And then before we went live yesterday and I was
<v Speaker 2>getting all my Batman stuff together, I was like, let's
<v Speaker 2>let's get ahead of it so I can actually read
<v Speaker 2>what the comments were.
<v Speaker 1>And you made my night.
<v Speaker 2>They were all actually awesome. I was completely surprised and
<v Speaker 2>taken off God very sweet, very wholesome. I appreciate everything
<v Speaker 2>everyone said, and it made me excited to sit here
<v Speaker 2>and be Batman. It made Batman a lot more fun
<v Speaker 2>and a lot less spiteful. So I appreciate that a lot.
<v Speaker 4>Thank you, Are you still interested with the Mario Kart
<v Speaker 4>stuff that I that we were talking about.
<v Speaker 1>We can talk about, okay, So I.
<v Speaker 4>I looked up the Wikipedia, I followed the links and
<v Speaker 4>it got it sent me to the website thedirect dot
<v Speaker 4>com and basically it's it's a rumor about the two
<v Speaker 4>to three years, so it could be long.
<v Speaker 2>That's why I wanted to double check because they haven't
<v Speaker 2>made one in a while, but they were working on
<v Speaker 2>DC so it's hard to say.
<v Speaker 4>But I mean, from what I can tell, this is
<v Speaker 4>a reliable source. But it's they're saying it's a rumor
<v Speaker 4>as well, so I know I keep saying it. I
<v Speaker 4>I just want to know why they think it's eighty
<v Speaker 4>because Doug said they're doing variable pricing now and when
<v Speaker 4>they determine something is worth more, they're gonna charge more.
<v Speaker 4>And I'm actually not two against that. Like I said
<v Speaker 4>this last week. God, I can't shut up. I said
<v Speaker 4>this last week. If Nintendo do this and do it
<v Speaker 4>correctly to appease their fans right in a way that
<v Speaker 4>makes us happy, then good for them. If they can
<v Speaker 4>figure that out.
<v Speaker 2>If Sony then comes along and they're like, oh, Nintendo's
<v Speaker 2>charging more, all our games are one hundred. Now, that's
<v Speaker 2>not Nintendo's fault, right, that's Sony's fault. Okay, So if
<v Speaker 2>Nintendo want to do this, I don't mind so much
<v Speaker 2>the idea behind them doing it. But if they're gonna
<v Speaker 2>do it, and they're gonna say it's variable pricing based
<v Speaker 2>on what we deem is worth more, then tell us
<v Speaker 2>why it's worth more.
<v Speaker 1>That's it.
<v Speaker 2>That's all I want. Why is this worth more? Did
<v Speaker 2>it take you seven years to make it? Is there
<v Speaker 2>more content in this game than any other Mario game?
<v Speaker 2>By like a lot, because I would argue that the
<v Speaker 2>last Mario catt had just as much content. I know
<v Speaker 2>there's like a thousand characters in this one, but I
<v Speaker 2>didn't ask to play as a cow.
<v Speaker 1>The cow is pretty sick though.
<v Speaker 4>Also, can I say something about this? I did not
<v Speaker 4>see the Yoshi bike in any of the promotional stuff.
<v Speaker 4>I've not seen the Yoshi bike.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure it'll be in there. This feels almost like
<v Speaker 2>a like a you know what, I'm not sure. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know why I said that. I'm going to revolt
<v Speaker 2>if there's no yes, But I.
<v Speaker 1>Don't know why I said that.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know why I instantly went on the back foot.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't see it either, and you know what, it sucks.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I lay with you. I love the Yoshi bike.
<v Speaker 4>What's your what's your go to character and bike?
<v Speaker 1>All right?
<v Speaker 2>Like and in Mario cott de Luxe, it was a
<v Speaker 2>Rose Peach and some bike and combination of wheels, and
<v Speaker 2>it was because at some point it was the meta
<v Speaker 2>for like the fastest bike combination with a character. And
<v Speaker 2>I think at some point that became not the fastest meta,
<v Speaker 2>but it's just all I ever used at some point.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, Rose Peach, mine was Rosalina with the Yoshi
<v Speaker 2>bike always. That's cute. I love that for you favorite,
<v Speaker 2>Well not anymore. I guess I'm gonna I'm gonna be
<v Speaker 2>so mad if there's no Yoshi bik. I literally bought
<v Speaker 2>the Yoshi Lego bike because I love the Yoshi bike
<v Speaker 2>so much.
<v Speaker 1>That is cute.
<v Speaker 2>I don't I'm going to bring up this trailer real quick,
<v Speaker 2>so I don't know if people notice, but with all
<v Speaker 2>these outfits.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even know where it would be screenshare. Sure.
<v Speaker 2>Also I talked about this on the podcast, but it's
<v Speaker 2>so funny to me that the map is just Breath
<v Speaker 2>of the Wild's map.
<v Speaker 1>Did you notice this, Like, in what way is that?
<v Speaker 1>Take it off screen for a second. I'll show you.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't matter like it I have.
<v Speaker 2>There's no like and criticism for me for this, but
<v Speaker 2>it is funny to me that it's literally the Breath
<v Speaker 2>of the Wild map. Okay, all right, So here's the
<v Speaker 2>Mario Cut world map and here's the Breadth of the
<v Speaker 2>Wild map. I had to find a colored version of it,
<v Speaker 2>but so Hirel Castle or Mushroom Kingdom right in the
<v Speaker 2>middle of the map, right on both then you have fire.
<v Speaker 2>Now the top part of the maps flipped so you
<v Speaker 2>have fire Mountain on the left and snow on the right.
<v Speaker 2>Here we have snow on the left and Fire Mountain
<v Speaker 2>on the right. You also have on the Mario Cut
<v Speaker 2>World one up top, you have a forest area up top,
<v Speaker 2>and then here I can't remember exactly where it is,
<v Speaker 2>but the forest with the Master Sword is somewhere between
<v Speaker 2>the top areas. I can't see it in here, but
<v Speaker 2>it is up in that area. Then the bottom part
<v Speaker 2>is the funniest part to me. So you have the
<v Speaker 2>desert on the left, desert on the left, and then
<v Speaker 2>the coastal region on the right. Even with if you
<v Speaker 2>look look at that bottom right map, you see how
<v Speaker 2>like it kind of curves up into.
<v Speaker 1>The coast like there's like a little tail.
<v Speaker 2>You go to the Birth of the World map, there's
<v Speaker 2>like a little curve up tail on the coast area.
<v Speaker 1>Interesting.
<v Speaker 2>It's it's like not a big deal, but it is
<v Speaker 2>like a one for one sort of this is how
<v Speaker 2>a Nintendo map is laid out. And then even like
<v Speaker 2>you know, you look at the middle of the map,
<v Speaker 2>it's like the grassy open plains, grassy open plains, Like
<v Speaker 2>it's just the same ideolog, ideologic, the same idea in
<v Speaker 2>both the maps. It means absolutely nothing, but it is
<v Speaker 2>just very funny to me that it's the same map.
<v Speaker 4>I think that this is kind of just a go
<v Speaker 4>to because like the Fortnite map looks kind of different
<v Speaker 4>to this.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, it looks kind of similar to this as well.
<v Speaker 2>They have they have a lava mountain and an ice range. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>and it does they've had lava mountains and they've had deserts.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, it's very similar. When it's like the different
<v Speaker 2>regions out away, I'll bring up the Fortnite map. Maybe
<v Speaker 2>they're all copying copying Fortnite, I don't think that, uh
<v Speaker 2>type in Fortnite chapter five map. Okay, do you see
<v Speaker 2>any similarities? I mean, yeah, I do see similarities. I
<v Speaker 2>don't think it's a one like a one for one
<v Speaker 2>layout of these two in comparison, but it's a it's
<v Speaker 2>a it's interesting. I mean you have the ice section,
<v Speaker 2>the desert section, the grass, and then I don't see
<v Speaker 2>like a fire mountain.
<v Speaker 4>But but you see what I'm saying where the grass
<v Speaker 4>is always in the middle and the snow is in
<v Speaker 4>one area and then the desert's in any other.
<v Speaker 2>No, I see the similarity. As I said, I have
<v Speaker 2>no point or river rocking point to this, but I mean,
<v Speaker 2>like this is Nintendo, and it's that both of the
<v Speaker 2>maps are theirs, and they're both laid out the same way.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, just thought it was funny.
<v Speaker 1>There's not I hadn't I it'll be a TikTok.
<v Speaker 2>I was just scrolling through the timeline and I saw
<v Speaker 2>the map and I wanted to bring it up because
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was interesting. I don't think it means
<v Speaker 2>absolutely nothing. Yeah, I don't know if I can find
<v Speaker 2>the spot, but I was gonna bring up the the costumes,
<v Speaker 2>because you know how there's a ton of different costumes
<v Speaker 2>now in this game. Yeah, they're not behind any kind
<v Speaker 2>of like sub menu of you know Mario and then
<v Speaker 2>all Mario's costumes are behind the same character. They're all
<v Speaker 2>individual characters, so strange. It's very strange. And you can
<v Speaker 2>see there's like tabs and tabs and tabs. I don't
<v Speaker 2>know where it is chat. I don't know if someone
<v Speaker 2>can find the time code for me. So I'm not
<v Speaker 2>just scrubbing through endlessly. But h I sent you.
<v Speaker 4>If you still have some of the docks from before
<v Speaker 4>I sent you some of the characters like two.
<v Speaker 2>Docs ago, I'd love to that. Does I could kind
<v Speaker 2>of too? Yeah? All right, what have you.
<v Speaker 1>Got like two docs ago I sent you?
<v Speaker 3>Oh?
<v Speaker 1>I don't have that. I could find it again. Sorry
<v Speaker 1>about that. I'm taking my jacket. All right, let's move on.
<v Speaker 1>I don't talk my maricon anymore. Am my word? You
<v Speaker 1>brought it up? What time are we at for the show? Ah,
<v Speaker 1>that's a good question. Who knows this says? We'ven't been
<v Speaker 1>doing it for fifty minutes?
<v Speaker 2>All right, good, let's burn through some things while you're
<v Speaker 2>finding whatever you're finding. Let me show this quickly, Nintendo. God,
<v Speaker 2>why is Bloomberg like this? Nintendo expected to sell switch
<v Speaker 2>to at a loss? We believe the Switch Too's bill
<v Speaker 2>of materials is around four hundred dollars, meaning the Nintendo
<v Speaker 2>would be selling consoles at a loss in the US
<v Speaker 2>with the ten percent tariff. So this is via Bloomberg
<v Speaker 2>doing a their like breakdown or study on like kind
<v Speaker 2>of what the components of a switch to might cost.
<v Speaker 2>I brought this up last week too, and it was
<v Speaker 2>kind of what I was trying to get at when
<v Speaker 2>people were like, oh, and video said that the GPU
<v Speaker 2>is only worth one hundred and fifty dollars, So Nintendo,
<v Speaker 2>we're making handover fist here, And my first thought was, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>there's like so many other parts in there though it's
<v Speaker 2>not just the GPU, and the fact that the GPU
<v Speaker 2>alone costs one hundred and fifty, then we're probably getting pretty.
<v Speaker 1>Close to four hundred.
<v Speaker 2>And I think if you go back and watch that video,
<v Speaker 2>I think I said that my estimation was three fifty.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, I wouldn't be surprised if it costs
<v Speaker 2>three fifty to four hundred to make. So Nintendo does
<v Speaker 2>make a profit on their consoles, which is something they
<v Speaker 2>have over the competition, which is really cool, but the
<v Speaker 2>profit margin is slim. So the point was if they
<v Speaker 2>are to try and sink the cost of the tariffs
<v Speaker 2>when they come in, even at ten percent, they immediately
<v Speaker 2>cut into their profits. They don't make it. It's not like,
<v Speaker 2>you know, they can afford to cut it without cutting
<v Speaker 2>into their profits. So I'm sure they're going to try
<v Speaker 2>and avoid that. Can they cut into their profits and
<v Speaker 2>still be profitable as a whole, Yes, because that's what
<v Speaker 2>PlayStation and Xbox do, But I don't know if they're
<v Speaker 2>going to want to do that if they can avoid it.
<v Speaker 2>You know, we're also still, by the way, if you
<v Speaker 2>are a fan of the show, when you're going back
<v Speaker 2>and watching the episodes months or years later, thank you
<v Speaker 2>for doing that. What a weird arc we're on right now?
<v Speaker 1>Huh uh.
<v Speaker 2>We're still currently dealing with the unknown of that. We
<v Speaker 2>don't know when tariffs will come into play, if at
<v Speaker 2>all they've been paused. We don't know when we're going
<v Speaker 2>to get to pre order and Nintendo switch to and
<v Speaker 2>a lot of these things are also adding to the
<v Speaker 2>confusion and frustration around eighty dollars.
<v Speaker 1>You know.
<v Speaker 2>I've been avoiding trying to talk about it because we
<v Speaker 2>don't know if it's going to really mean anything at
<v Speaker 2>the end of the day. But at the end of
<v Speaker 2>the day, a lot of frustration around the eighty dollars
<v Speaker 2>and the price hiking of everything is that we're going
<v Speaker 2>into a recession and that tariffs are looming over everybody's head,
<v Speaker 2>and everyone is stressed out about that too. We already
<v Speaker 2>can't afford games to go up, but what if this
<v Speaker 2>goes up and this goes up, and that goes up,
<v Speaker 2>and then the console cost six hundred dollars, you know.
<v Speaker 2>So there's a lot of stress from a lot of people.
<v Speaker 2>A lot of people are very stressed and scared right now,
<v Speaker 2>which is causing a lot of confusion and frustration and
<v Speaker 2>anger online. So I think a lot of like the
<v Speaker 2>people spamming dropped the price, are also just frustrated and
<v Speaker 2>done in general with a lot which makes sense, makes sense.
<v Speaker 2>Sorry about it though not my fault.
<v Speaker 1>Um. Moving on to some more fun things. Did you
<v Speaker 1>were you looking for something?
<v Speaker 3>Uh?
<v Speaker 1>Was I No? I don't know, I could remember if
<v Speaker 1>I gave you.
<v Speaker 4>Oh, oh, you said you wanted to stop talking about
<v Speaker 4>Marrit cards. So I stopped looking for that thing. What
<v Speaker 4>thing you wanted to see? The character selection?
<v Speaker 2>I would see it if you could find it, but
<v Speaker 2>you don't have to. Okay, someone in chat's probably already
<v Speaker 2>found it for us because I asked, and then I
<v Speaker 2>just didn't look.
<v Speaker 1>You can cut to me for a quick second or so.
<v Speaker 2>Somebody in the chat was like, I don't like when
<v Speaker 2>Wood asks to be cut to or cut away from
<v Speaker 2>all the time.
<v Speaker 1>Why doesn't he have a button. I don't want a button.
<v Speaker 1>No one man should have all that power. No one man.
<v Speaker 2>Hey, don't quote that guy. Got good song though? Did
<v Speaker 2>play Staints Throw three?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Of course the start of that game has that song
<v Speaker 2>and it slaps. Yeah, I'm such a sick I think
<v Speaker 2>it was three. It could be four, I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>And that's one of the best soundtracks I think of
<v Speaker 4>any that was really good.
<v Speaker 1>No, it's just we've done that.
<v Speaker 2>I hate when I have to switch buttons and stuff
<v Speaker 2>and Max. Whenever I only have one person here with me,
<v Speaker 2>Max has to like watch the chat and like find
<v Speaker 2>things and like do a bunch of other stuff, so
<v Speaker 2>he's not always looking at me and ready to switch.
<v Speaker 2>So sometimes I have to say cut to me, like now,
<v Speaker 2>like now, and then I have to say cut away.
<v Speaker 2>And I say that because I don't want you guys
<v Speaker 2>to have to stare at me down here while I
<v Speaker 2>don't need to be down here anymore.
<v Speaker 1>All right, confirmed?
<v Speaker 2>And then I switch to me, sorry, so he's got
<v Speaker 2>to play weird sounds while I'm talking to so he's
<v Speaker 2>so busy over there.
<v Speaker 1>And then I switch.
<v Speaker 2>Two game cards have a notch. This is so almost
<v Speaker 2>nothing news. But we were wondering why the carts were identical,
<v Speaker 2>and there is a notch, and I don't know what
<v Speaker 2>this means, this is just a picture. I'm thinking this
<v Speaker 2>means they probably won't click down all the way into
<v Speaker 2>a switch one. That would be my assumption, because I
<v Speaker 2>always wondered what would happen if you try putting it
<v Speaker 2>in a switch one, because it might confuse people. But
<v Speaker 2>this looks like maybe something to prevent it actually getting
<v Speaker 2>clicked down all the way.
<v Speaker 1>Or maybe not.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what this means, to be honest, but
<v Speaker 2>a ninten deal the account that tweeted this, they did
<v Speaker 2>also tweet about my grip, and that was nicer them.
<v Speaker 2>They were paid for it. But it was nicer them.
<v Speaker 2>All right, you can cut away now. By the way,
<v Speaker 2>I don't think we ever really talked about that on
<v Speaker 2>the episode. But you can buy my beat 'em Ups group.
<v Speaker 2>You can if you wanted to, you could buy it.
<v Speaker 2>It's really cool. You want me to show you. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know how I would do that.
<v Speaker 4>Actually, if you still want to see the character selection,
<v Speaker 4>it's at thirteen.
<v Speaker 1>On the docks. I would love to die back in
<v Speaker 1>a Mario cot.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, I feel bad. I didn't commit to the mask
<v Speaker 2>the whole time. It was legitimately killing me.
<v Speaker 1>It was legit it was legitimately making me nervous. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not kidding. Wait wait wait, cut to me, cut to me,
<v Speaker 1>cut to you.
<v Speaker 2>Oh if you started around it was a Batman ad,
<v Speaker 2>No way we missed it. It was it was the
<v Speaker 2>Jason Bateman ad, whether he's Batman the baitman.
<v Speaker 1>Damn uh.
<v Speaker 2>You have to start the clip h later, like go
<v Speaker 2>to you see where the replace start go towards the end. Also, guys,
<v Speaker 2>I bought a brand new MacBook just for you, guys.
<v Speaker 2>I hope you feel special and honored. I bought this
<v Speaker 2>MacBook so that the stream didn't suck and actually, I'm
<v Speaker 2>having so many issues with the MacBooks. I've never used
<v Speaker 2>a Mac before. I can't figure out how to get
<v Speaker 2>the sound from here into the laptop. So but we
<v Speaker 2>have videos, So what do you want?
<v Speaker 1>It's not perfect? Oh yeah, here we go.
<v Speaker 2>So we've already scrolled past Mario and Luigi and everybody,
<v Speaker 2>but here they are again in different outfits, and then
<v Speaker 2>they'll probably go over another page.
<v Speaker 1>I love the cow. I do love the cow. There's
<v Speaker 1>Mario Luigi again.
<v Speaker 2>So there's just like, as you unlock all of these characters,
<v Speaker 2>they add tabs and tabs and tabs and tabs.
<v Speaker 1>So weird.
<v Speaker 2>That's so silly. It's also not even an issue. Really,
<v Speaker 2>it's just silly that they did that. I don't know
<v Speaker 2>why they did that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's a very strange thing to do.
<v Speaker 2>All right, Maybe I should have just a cutaway button
<v Speaker 2>for me so when I'm done talking, I can just
<v Speaker 2>be like beep.
<v Speaker 4>I mean I think, yeah, I think you could do
<v Speaker 4>just a one, or I could do one, maybe one
<v Speaker 4>or two buttons.
<v Speaker 1>I do one or two buttons, and all of a
<v Speaker 1>sudden they have all the buttons.
<v Speaker 2>All of a sudden, you have like an h three
<v Speaker 2>button that would be cool. Could have used it last week.
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to How do I open this without
<v Speaker 2>you showing the whole screen?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what, don't don't. I'm not cutting to you.
<v Speaker 1>I I know when to cut. How do I do this? Oops?
<v Speaker 2>Oh no, no, I've messed everything up. You blew it, guys,
<v Speaker 2>I've destroyed everything. I want to show this, but I
<v Speaker 2>don't know if it'll show.
<v Speaker 1>The the what if I what if I delete that? Oh?
<v Speaker 1>I can't.
<v Speaker 2>Oh that's I'm so smart cutting to you. Yeah you
<v Speaker 2>can now, Okay, I'll cut to you. Sorry that took
<v Speaker 2>so long. I'm an idiot. This bag this day, when
<v Speaker 2>Bob and I went to the Nintendo Experience and got
<v Speaker 2>this bag, I didn't expect to get something for one
<v Speaker 2>and I was like, oh, that's sick. And then when
<v Speaker 2>we got back, the people that were invited to the event,
<v Speaker 2>like the actual influences, they showed off what they got,
<v Speaker 2>and all they got was like a tote bag, like
<v Speaker 2>a red like generic like Trader Joe's tote bag. And
<v Speaker 2>I said to Bob, I was like, what the hell?
<v Speaker 2>Why did we get such a cool bag? And they
<v Speaker 2>only got a tote bag, and this cool bag if
<v Speaker 2>you cut back is being resold for three hundred dollars
<v Speaker 2>on eBay. Did I'm sure the toe bag is a
<v Speaker 2>similar price. I got it for free. The tote bag
<v Speaker 2>is so boring. I'm sure it's Honestly, it's just a red,
<v Speaker 2>fully red bag with a switch to logo.
<v Speaker 1>But people want that exclusivity, you know. Yeah, maybe all right,
<v Speaker 1>you can cut awa again. I'm got away, guys. I
<v Speaker 1>kind of want to wrap up pretty soon.
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to go too long today because I've
<v Speaker 2>been up so long streaming. Let me just make sure
<v Speaker 2>that I've covered all the important things in my dock
<v Speaker 2>here that really matter. Trying to squirrel with Batman gloves.
<v Speaker 4>On if you want to do the Batman theme stuff
<v Speaker 4>and yes, no, let's do one now.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Okay, what do we got? I put a couple
<v Speaker 1>things of the day. Ah.
<v Speaker 2>Did you see the no cloud saves? By the way, Well,
<v Speaker 2>you might want to talk about that.
<v Speaker 1>What is that? Okay?
<v Speaker 4>So I want to myself you read it while I
<v Speaker 4>talk about it. So I was I was in the
<v Speaker 4>our discord please join our discard, and people were talking
<v Speaker 4>about how the apparently the new versions of Breath of
<v Speaker 4>the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom won't have cloud saves,
<v Speaker 4>like won't you won't be able to save your new
<v Speaker 4>progress on the cloud.
<v Speaker 2>And it says here it's currently unclear why. I mean, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that sucks. I don't I don't know what else to say.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to screen share. Yeah, that's yeah, that's kind
<v Speaker 1>of crazy.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, just heard about this just before we start
<v Speaker 2>just those games.
<v Speaker 1>What about like Mario coott or Donkey Kong. I'm not sure.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe there's something to do with the fact that you're
<v Speaker 4>taking it from the Switch.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Disclaiming the reads. Please note this software does not support
<v Speaker 2>the Switch online paid membership saved a backup feature.
<v Speaker 1>Why. I have no idea. That's a great question.
<v Speaker 2>I don't even know what to say. It's Breath of
<v Speaker 2>the Wild, Antis of the Kingdom support that feature. Why
<v Speaker 2>would this not support that feature? I don't even know
<v Speaker 2>what to say. What website is that again?
<v Speaker 1>Eurogamer? Yeah, okay, some people were asking Eurogamer if you
<v Speaker 1>were asking.
<v Speaker 2>It's Eurogamer's article titled the Switch to editions Elda games
<v Speaker 2>won't support cloud saves to back up your data? That
<v Speaker 2>I mean that sucks.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I almost want to say that it's maybe it's coming later,
<v Speaker 2>but Nintendo disclaimer says it doesn't support it like a
<v Speaker 2>finalized it just doesn't support it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>That doesn't make any sense. If if if Maria Catt
<v Speaker 2>and Donkey Kong and anything else does support it, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>then I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what to tell you. That sucks. We're
<v Speaker 1>gonna have to keep an eye on that.
<v Speaker 2>Somebody says it's gonna cost extra. Yeah, I already does it.
<v Speaker 2>It's the it's the membership thing. Oh, don't get me started.
<v Speaker 2>Let's not go off on that tangent. Let's do Can
<v Speaker 2>you go to uh the number nine on the list
<v Speaker 2>of Batman teer list?
<v Speaker 1>Are we doing that? Can you go to it? And
<v Speaker 1>can you make it a hyperlink for me? Oh?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, because I can't click on it and I don't
<v Speaker 2>know how to. I think you got to like go
<v Speaker 2>to the end of it and then like hit space
<v Speaker 2>bar or something and it makes it a hyperlink.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Yeah, there you go. Man Movies tier list.
<v Speaker 2>All right, guys, so we're pretty much done here. You
<v Speaker 2>can leave if you want.
<v Speaker 1>No don't leave.
<v Speaker 2>Stay with our most popular TikTok clip. Like on TikTok
<v Speaker 2>is me dressed as Spider Man with Kim dressed as
<v Speaker 2>Black Canary talking about Marvel comics, and it has over
<v Speaker 2>two million views. So we figured we'd use this as
<v Speaker 2>an opportunity to try and recreate magic in a bottle
<v Speaker 2>and see if we can get a Batman clip with
<v Speaker 2>me is Batman talking about Batman stuff. I'm gonna try
<v Speaker 2>putting this back on though, because this one's way better
<v Speaker 2>for the clip.

<v Speaker 1>last time. I don't know how I put it on.
