<v Speaker 1>this episode, I interviewed Darren from Texas. He was coyote
<v Speaker 1>hunting in East Texas when he called in something unknown.
<v Speaker 1>With this coyote locator call, he described hearing something very
<v Speaker 1>similar to what I experienced here in Missouri. I have
<v Speaker 1>heard it from other hunters in the past. People have
<v Speaker 1>called in dog man when they were coyote hunting. I
<v Speaker 1>interviewed a gentleman from Kentucky who was rattling deer antlers
<v Speaker 1>together and he thought a big buck was coming his way,
<v Speaker 1>but nope, it was a sasquatch. I also interviewed a
<v Speaker 1>turkey hunter from Tennessee that called in a bigfoot. If

<v Speaker 1>terrifying experience from the state of Texas. All right, Darren,
<v Speaker 1>welcome to Sasquatch Theory. How are you doing today.
<v Speaker 2>I'm doing pretty good.
<v Speaker 1>Oh pretty good, not too bad, Darren. If you would
<v Speaker 1>tell us a little bit about yourself, where you're from,
<v Speaker 1>and your encounter, please, or your experience.
<v Speaker 2>I live here Central Cases, around Hillsborough and a background
<v Speaker 2>going up spawn the woods, hunting, hiking. I've been all
<v Speaker 2>over hunting and me and my was my brother in
<v Speaker 2>law at the time. Me and him got together all
<v Speaker 2>the time. I went like to go cow hunting and
<v Speaker 2>usually go out at night and do that. We made plans.
<v Speaker 2>He worked down in East Texas at the time as
<v Speaker 2>a paramedic, like this little private community in their fire department,
<v Speaker 2>and I used to go with him down there on
<v Speaker 2>the weekends every now and then hang out with him
<v Speaker 2>and go hunting when he was off. And it's something
<v Speaker 2>we always, you know, kind of did for the past
<v Speaker 2>thirty years, you know, been around him and everything. But yeah,
<v Speaker 2>we made plans went down there to where he was staying.
<v Speaker 2>At these textures, I don't know if I really want
<v Speaker 2>to say exactly where he is, because the land really
<v Speaker 2>ain't never been hunted on and I didn't want really
<v Speaker 2>too many people knowing about you know, how good an
<v Speaker 2>area it was, and didn't want nobody else, you know,
<v Speaker 2>really coming in there asking him about it. But uh, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>we got together, drove down there and met up with
<v Speaker 2>him there at his house and he was already getting
<v Speaker 2>kind of dark at the time, and uh we was
<v Speaker 2>getting their calling equipment ready, you know, putting put all
<v Speaker 2>the stuff in the drug and uh that when we
<v Speaker 2>started heading out there, it was probably around nine o'clock
<v Speaker 2>at night, and this was probably around I believe it
<v Speaker 2>was in kind of mid November, and uh we've been
<v Speaker 2>kind of getting little icy rain or whatever a little bit. Anyway,
<v Speaker 2>we started going out and uh it was it was
<v Speaker 2>right there was none was up and uh, you tell
<v Speaker 2>it's gonna be pretty bright. And we discussed whether, you know,
<v Speaker 2>to go ahead. It's just we really never we never
<v Speaker 2>really had much luck collin Cowles at night on the
<v Speaker 2>full moon and h but we decided to go ahead
<v Speaker 2>and go down the Ambans. You know, it had never
<v Speaker 2>been hunted and uh they had a lot of cow
<v Speaker 2>problems this and then when we get down and we
<v Speaker 2>go down drop out in this bottom you know it's
<v Speaker 2>hilly around, but you know there's nothing. You know, it
<v Speaker 2>was pretty pretty much flatter on that little few hills
<v Speaker 2>and uh, that's pretty pretty good thick forest on that
<v Speaker 2>there was some swampy low area down in that bottom
<v Speaker 2>off in the trees. And uh, anyway, we got in
<v Speaker 2>the carrying part, got our stuff out. We usually called
<v Speaker 2>out the back of the pick up. We set the
<v Speaker 2>recorders and stuff out on top of the cab, and uh,
<v Speaker 2>what's your lights and you know, or rifle up there,
<v Speaker 2>just kind of getting ready for the hunt. And uh,
<v Speaker 2>it just kept seeming like, you know, the land was
<v Speaker 2>getting brighter. I mean it was pretty intense, you know
<v Speaker 2>how bright the moon was. And uh out probably up
<v Speaker 2>the fifties sixty yards. You know, you wouldn't have no
<v Speaker 2>trouble seeing anything walk across there and make out what
<v Speaker 2>it was or anything. And but anyway, decided on the
<v Speaker 2>start off with a I use a game color one
<v Speaker 2>of the electronic ones, and on there it has a
<v Speaker 2>towel locator is what the segment of cowld is and
<v Speaker 2>it imitates a pack of cowls like when they're running
<v Speaker 2>or starting out howling. You know, usually one start out
<v Speaker 2>howling and got a segment of others coming in howling
<v Speaker 2>behind it. Yeah, and it probably lasts about ten seconds,
<v Speaker 2>and decided to use that one sit there, you know,
<v Speaker 2>hit play. Wasn't really you know, expecting to hear anything
<v Speaker 2>right off the bad and uh yeah, set there a
<v Speaker 2>minute after the noise after the call kind of hinded
<v Speaker 2>there the first segment of it, And we sat there
<v Speaker 2>listening see if we could hear anything, any cadots responding,
<v Speaker 2>you know, mirrors or way y'all get a general idea
<v Speaker 2>there's you know, any cadots around there. And we sat
<v Speaker 2>up there and listening, you never heard nothing. So I
<v Speaker 2>hit the play button again on the on the call
<v Speaker 2>and it was the same call the cadots having when
<v Speaker 2>it stopped this time. I mean it just nearly as
<v Speaker 2>soon as the call stopped, there was this, I mean
<v Speaker 2>a howl started off. I mean it's like no other
<v Speaker 2>how ever heard it first started off. You know, it
<v Speaker 2>sounded like a wolf at first. And uh, they got
<v Speaker 2>red walls down there in that area, different pockets of
<v Speaker 2>it there, these churches and uh, let's say I've been
<v Speaker 2>hunting all over and I've heard the waves of north
<v Speaker 2>everything else and how deep and got along some of
<v Speaker 2>the how sound. But uh, I say it started off
<v Speaker 2>as a howl and it ran all together. The noise.
<v Speaker 2>It was like a howl roar, kind of lionessh sound.
<v Speaker 2>I would say, you know it kind of it kind
<v Speaker 2>of run me like a wolf talat and it just
<v Speaker 2>goes right into like a more African line war and
<v Speaker 2>it kind of dies often makes like a you know,
<v Speaker 2>like a canine hunting sound, like it's kind of like
<v Speaker 2>there at the head, and uh, you know it's something
<v Speaker 2>I've never heard. I mean, it was just unreal. It
<v Speaker 2>sounded to be, you know, somewhere around five hundred yard
<v Speaker 2>dog estimating. And you could just you could feel the
<v Speaker 2>sound vibrate, so you're like verb rate, so like a
<v Speaker 2>percussion off of my arm, you know, had its It
<v Speaker 2>just kind of slap ship. You could you could feel that.
<v Speaker 2>And uh, me and my brother in lawways, we looked
<v Speaker 2>at each other like, you know, was what the hell
<v Speaker 2>was at and uh, their second you know, like trying
<v Speaker 2>to make sense of that. Looking around, Uh you know,
<v Speaker 2>started shining a light out across there see if we
<v Speaker 2>picked up any eyes or seeing anything. And we said,
<v Speaker 2>you know, we're kind of whispering back forth each other.
<v Speaker 2>You know what, I don't know. It confused, remains like
<v Speaker 2>you know, what the hell was that? You never heard
<v Speaker 2>anything like that? And we're both looking at each other
<v Speaker 2>scratching our heads. You know, we sat there listening and
<v Speaker 2>see if it was only do it, you know or whatever,
<v Speaker 2>and never didn't hear anything else. We're trying to sit
<v Speaker 2>there about three to five minutes maybe and uh, we
<v Speaker 2>were still sitting there, you know, the chandalized looking brother
<v Speaker 2>law said go ahead and play that he and uh
<v Speaker 2>I played the colleg the same one cowld located where
<v Speaker 2>the cows have and uh right, just nearly as the
<v Speaker 2>same time, just nearly as the end of that that
<v Speaker 2>call ended, it lets out another howl, the same the
<v Speaker 2>same same how the same description started off like a
<v Speaker 2>wolf like can I into like I said, like a
<v Speaker 2>line more and like you know, it's like kind of
<v Speaker 2>a small huff on the end of it. And uh,
<v Speaker 2>but it was in a different location. H This location
<v Speaker 2>had come up closer and more to the riding the risk.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna guess another tree line was maybe I guess
<v Speaker 2>somebody seventy five yards from uh pick up. We was
<v Speaker 2>talling out back of the truck and we shined the
<v Speaker 2>lights and couldn't see nothing, and it sounded like it
<v Speaker 2>was just off in that tree line probably I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>maybe another fifty yards off in there. Uh and uh anyhow,
<v Speaker 2>I mean louder, more powerful, and were sitting there looking
<v Speaker 2>at each other like, you know, what the heck? And
<v Speaker 2>I was like, my brother in law was like, man,
<v Speaker 2>it sounds like we often kind of werewolf movie or
<v Speaker 2>something like like the noise. They said, that's freaking freaking
<v Speaker 2>you know. You know, he was ready to get on
<v Speaker 2>out there, and uh, you know he was pretty he
<v Speaker 2>was pretty shock that you tell he was scared. And uh,
<v Speaker 2>at first I wasn't really scared. I was like trying
<v Speaker 2>to figure out what what would make that noise and uh,
<v Speaker 2>it was just unreal. And uh we sat there a
<v Speaker 2>few more minutes, shine the light and everything else, and
<v Speaker 2>kind of discussed it teir sails and and uh I
<v Speaker 2>decided I don't play the noise again, and uh played
<v Speaker 2>it there one more time and there was there was nothing,
<v Speaker 2>no reply, no answer anything. It's like a completely vanished
<v Speaker 2>you know, moved on or whatever. Yea. And I tried
<v Speaker 2>a few other different little calls and uh, you know,
<v Speaker 2>see if he can get something on a response out
<v Speaker 2>of something. You know, I was curious on you know,
<v Speaker 2>what what would make that noise and how big it
<v Speaker 2>had to be to to make it feel like a
<v Speaker 2>noise let your body, you know, wayverberated there and and
<v Speaker 2>just to power behind it. You know, I've never heard
<v Speaker 2>anything like that before. I've never heard of anything like
<v Speaker 2>that since. H But we decided, you know, we don't
<v Speaker 2>get in the truck. We sat there, we got our
<v Speaker 2>stuff inside to pick up, getting ready to go, and
<v Speaker 2>we're kind of setting there for a little bit, you know,
<v Speaker 2>just kind of looking out the windows and uh, you know,
<v Speaker 2>shine the line out every known and men, you know,
<v Speaker 2>just thinking maybe maybe we might get a glance or
<v Speaker 2>whatever it is. And uh, nothing, nothing else never happened
<v Speaker 2>right there, and when uh we headed on back to
<v Speaker 2>his house. And when when we got there, we uh,
<v Speaker 2>you know, we said, they're disgusted at his house and
<v Speaker 2>this couldn't make no sense of it, and just I say,
<v Speaker 2>just really can't describe the noise that had made it.
<v Speaker 2>It's such a noise that you never would expect to
<v Speaker 2>hear to come out of any kind of woods, especially
<v Speaker 2>in these Texas or whatever. And uh, yeah, that was crazy.
<v Speaker 1>Do you think the coyote locator called it in?
<v Speaker 2>I think it did. Mh, I'm you know, I'm pretty
<v Speaker 2>sure it did. And uh, you know, whatever it was,
<v Speaker 2>I say it at the first some cowd calls, uh
<v Speaker 2>county locator called. They kind of started out with one
<v Speaker 2>main alpha or whatever starting to how first before the
<v Speaker 2>group cowd start chatting the in and go along with it.
<v Speaker 2>And uh, when it first started howling, the start of it,
<v Speaker 2>it reminded me of that, but a lot deeper, stronger,
<v Speaker 2>and just all the tire of the scene. And it
<v Speaker 2>just went all the way into you know that roar
<v Speaker 2>like snarling fucking noise at the end. There never was
<v Speaker 2>no break in between the different sound variations. You know,
<v Speaker 2>there's like one long breath whatever and uh stopped being
<v Speaker 2>there was no change jet. Yeah, yeah, I figured you
<v Speaker 2>know that. I don't know, I've thought about it a
<v Speaker 2>whole bunch of different talents, and I figured the call
<v Speaker 2>that locator it's probably what you know called again responded
<v Speaker 2>and curious to what was going on.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think so too, And what do you think
<v Speaker 1>the creature was.
<v Speaker 2>You know, I've pond thereupone that a lot, especially when
<v Speaker 2>you know me and him get gethered all the time,
<v Speaker 2>and don't I now and uh, you know we we
<v Speaker 2>discussed it, and you know every time we're together, something
<v Speaker 2>brings it up. And uh, at first, the family you know, cameine.
<v Speaker 2>You know, when it first started, it sounded like a
<v Speaker 2>big wolf, lone wolf, starting out highling and just change
<v Speaker 2>right inscribe right into like like a roaring and at
<v Speaker 2>the end of it like huffing, like snarling, like home
<v Speaker 2>and the power of it seemed to stay the same,
<v Speaker 2>even the hunk kind of snarling at the end of it.
<v Speaker 2>I mean it was loud and just as intense. You know,
<v Speaker 2>you could feel that through your body too. And yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you know it's got be confused, you know. It's then
<v Speaker 2>you hear things on uh you know, watching different shows
<v Speaker 2>and and everything, and you know there's some some some
<v Speaker 2>kind of house or vocalizations I've heard on some stuff
<v Speaker 2>like in the middle, you know, after it started off
<v Speaker 2>how in town. The middle sounds like some poculation, uh
<v Speaker 2>that I've heard of, you know, watching TV or looking
<v Speaker 2>at different things about it that sound familiar. But it
<v Speaker 2>just you know, I don't know what it was. Uh
<v Speaker 2>that right there. You know, I ain't much been a
<v Speaker 2>big Foot believer or any kind of dog man believer,
<v Speaker 2>you know, as far as buying into it, I was,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I like watching the stuff, hearing different things,
<v Speaker 2>and and uh, you know, open minded. But I say,
<v Speaker 2>you never never really surely accept it or believe anything.
<v Speaker 2>I guess more accepted until you hear or see something.
<v Speaker 2>And uh and that night is just hearing that. It
<v Speaker 2>just they just blew in our minds. We didn't you know,
<v Speaker 2>I've never had heard any kind of you always any
<v Speaker 2>kind of animal boy, you know what's the TV? You know,
<v Speaker 2>different over in different countries everything else, they're different kind
<v Speaker 2>of predators and noise in make and everything else. And uh,
<v Speaker 2>just nothing comes close to sounded like this. Yeah, let's
<v Speaker 2>push mail to ads. Uh, you know there's something out there.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what it is to be big foot,
<v Speaker 2>kah dog man. I don't know, you know, I still
<v Speaker 2>like much old dog man. Are you know trying to
<v Speaker 2>hate to think something like this running around? M hm?
<v Speaker 2>You know what what it could do? As powerful as
<v Speaker 2>what this sounded, its yeah, just kind of leaves maybe
<v Speaker 2>more questions, you know, confusion, you know, trying to make
<v Speaker 2>sense of it. You know it's been, it's been probably
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was around maybe three years ago, but
<v Speaker 2>trying of comparing it to something else, and it's probably
<v Speaker 2>more than four years ago. When ah that in turd
<v Speaker 2>and it's just as sharp in my mind, in my
<v Speaker 2>brook there's my exp but I still come and bring
<v Speaker 2>even my brother law for thirty years, it's just it's
<v Speaker 2>fresh in my mind as as short as it was.
<v Speaker 2>You know that mad had happened.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you understand. I appreciate you for reaching out and
<v Speaker 1>tell me about your experience. I had a similar experience
<v Speaker 1>one time whenever I was around like twelve years old.
<v Speaker 1>I was sitting in my bedroom. It was summertime, and
<v Speaker 1>it was around nine pm, maybe a little later, and
<v Speaker 1>I was just sitting there on my computer watching TV.
<v Speaker 1>And I had the window open, and I was sitting
<v Speaker 1>next to the window, so I could hear outside, like
<v Speaker 1>all the bugs, and you could hear like little animals
<v Speaker 1>walking around outside. Well, all of a sudden, I heard
<v Speaker 1>this call, this vocalization, and it was so deep and guttural.
<v Speaker 1>It sounded like a werewolf. But it lasted like seven
<v Speaker 1>seconds or so, and I don't know if I can
<v Speaker 1>even recreate it, but it was just like your Hollywood
<v Speaker 1>werewolf call, just like deep guttural. Yeah, but you could
<v Speaker 1>feel the base and the rumble from it. You knew
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't a coyote. But as like the vocalization happened
<v Speaker 1>whenever it ended, something like another thing vocalized. So it
<v Speaker 1>was like that deep guttural Hollywood werewolf call. And then
<v Speaker 1>it instantly transitioned into like this woman screaming like a
<v Speaker 1>But it all happened like all at once. But I
<v Speaker 1>was freaked out, so I slammed the window shut, got
<v Speaker 1>underneath the covers and wait until morning time. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>go out there.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what it was though. If it was
<v Speaker 1>a dog man or a dog man and a bigfoot
<v Speaker 1>or something else, I don't I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's crazy, you know, like I mentioned before, you know,
<v Speaker 2>when it first happened, first vocalization we was often you know,
<v Speaker 2>like a wearable movie or something. It was, you know,
<v Speaker 2>that's freaky.
<v Speaker 1>I thought somebody was playing a prank on me and
<v Speaker 1>like literally set up a PA system in the woods
<v Speaker 1>because it was that loud. Like if you've ever been
<v Speaker 1>to like a big concert or like a big band
<v Speaker 1>plays the bass, you feel like in your chest like
<v Speaker 1>it gave you that feeling.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and yeah, that's what we had too. And uh,
<v Speaker 2>you know we made comments thinking about it, you know
<v Speaker 2>later and stuff, you know, after watching uh some of
<v Speaker 2>them finding big bus shows and stuff like that, were
<v Speaker 2>you know, they're out there what they say call blasting,
<v Speaker 2>you know, blasting noise you know, out in there and
<v Speaker 2>hoping to hear whatever. I guess and uh, you know,
<v Speaker 2>first time I thought about that, you know, and let's
<v Speaker 2>say that the the basiness on it, the deep you know,
<v Speaker 2>it sounded like you know, like you say, like somebody
<v Speaker 2>had a speaker out there and you know by like
<v Speaker 2>these cars driving by down theirs, your houses or whatever.
<v Speaker 2>You know, whether the base is hit and you feel
<v Speaker 2>that noise, you know, verebrate through your chest even though
<v Speaker 2>some of it might might be that loud, but it
<v Speaker 2>hits your hard I guess the way the frequencies and
<v Speaker 2>the tire does. Right. Yeah, it's you know, we talked
<v Speaker 2>about that. It was like, well, maybe somebody's out there
<v Speaker 2>called blass. Maybe one of these people watching finding big
<v Speaker 2>foot out there doing some kind of investigation, you know,
<v Speaker 2>out there in the land somewhere or whatever. And then
<v Speaker 2>you know, then you go back right back to it,
<v Speaker 2>whether nobody else is supposed to be out there, and
<v Speaker 2>then it's like, well, had they moved from probably five
<v Speaker 2>hundred yards away in total opposite different directions too, maybe
<v Speaker 2>one hundred and twenty five yards away in another area,
<v Speaker 2>does the same thing, but more intense and more louder,
<v Speaker 2>you know. Hm, No, it wasn't nobody messing with us
<v Speaker 2>and or Eve, I know we was really out there
<v Speaker 2>to get messed with.
<v Speaker 1>Mm hm.
<v Speaker 2>Hm.
<v Speaker 1>I'd like to get a Fox Pro game call, like
<v Speaker 1>one of those handhelds that you just like select different
<v Speaker 1>calls and I've heard they work pretty good.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, yeah, they did it. As far as hunting, I
<v Speaker 2>can get a Box Pro and I got a uh
<v Speaker 2>one of the promos UH game callers, and uh that
<v Speaker 2>night I was using a matter of fact, it was
<v Speaker 2>the first time to use that. As far as that collar,
<v Speaker 2>I just got it probably maybe a month before. Is
<v Speaker 2>one of the promos, uh kimmers talking out the bag
<v Speaker 2>or as one of the speakers rode out from the side,
<v Speaker 2>just that a little stand and set it up wherever
<v Speaker 2>remote control and uh and it has the best like
<v Speaker 2>Cayo locator is what is kind of uh the cows
<v Speaker 2>howling and uh like one of them videos on your channel.
<v Speaker 2>I was going through the the other night when it
<v Speaker 2>was he was camping out there basically in your backyard
<v Speaker 2>in the woods there and uh it wasn't the colch
<v Speaker 2>were howling all around you mm hmm. Was it started
<v Speaker 2>off one hal and you got the group you know,
<v Speaker 2>chiming in and talent. That's the way. That's the way
<v Speaker 2>the noise uh located sounds.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Yeah, I like Primos. They make some good stuff.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, both both of them do. There's there's a
<v Speaker 2>lot of calls on Fox Prow that I love, and
<v Speaker 2>there's different calls on Primos I love, and uh, you
<v Speaker 2>know even though they might have the same name for
<v Speaker 2>you know, different for on her calls, but each one
<v Speaker 2>has a different sound even though you know, it's a
<v Speaker 2>different unity. That's why I usually kind of used both
<v Speaker 2>or whatever depending on where I'm at. And but yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that's uh.
<v Speaker 1>Do you ever oh sorry, I mean cut you off.
<v Speaker 1>Do you ever use a red light?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah? Yes, that's mainly what I used as a red light. H.
<v Speaker 2>I grew up My dad was a big cality hunter
<v Speaker 2>and go all over hunting, and so I grew up
<v Speaker 2>with him at the age I was, I was probably
<v Speaker 2>nine ten years old, going with him and his buddies
<v Speaker 2>at night. Usually I had to sit sit in the front,
<v Speaker 2>you know, in front of the truck or whatever. They
<v Speaker 2>get them back on the platform and you know, called
<v Speaker 2>back there. But that's a red Light's what I always used.
<v Speaker 2>And you know, keep up one of them handheld h.
<v Speaker 2>The main light I use is a QUB It's that
<v Speaker 2>two hundred thousand four old warming Specials they call it.
<v Speaker 2>It's got the red lens that's kind of deep inside
<v Speaker 2>that it's got like a cone on the end of
<v Speaker 2>the spotlight to focus the red light in one area.
<v Speaker 2>And uh, that way ain't glaring out to the sign
<v Speaker 2>that's blinded garything or blinding tee of your husband.
<v Speaker 1>With m H and I exposed as the eye shine correct.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, yeah, it'll pick up eye shine. I mean just
<v Speaker 2>really bright and intense. H.
<v Speaker 1>I got a headlamp and it has like a red
<v Speaker 1>light on there. And I noticed all the little critters
<v Speaker 1>their eyes will light up red and you can see
<v Speaker 1>them from far away. So I was thinking, Man, I
<v Speaker 1>need to get a good one for whenever I'm out
<v Speaker 1>here looking for sasquatch.

<v Speaker 2>Yes, yeah. You know. The way I've had it explained
<v Speaker 2>to me is that the red the red light, they
<v Speaker 2>don't bother the animals. They'll sit there and look. You
<v Speaker 2>hold it on them or whatever, and they'll sit they're
<v Speaker 2>still staring and they don't interferes with I guess their
<v Speaker 2>light spectrum the way they see.
<v Speaker 1>That's interesting because with like night vision optics, they say,
<v Speaker 1>never shine a flashlight in the optics, but with the
<v Speaker 1>red light, they say, it's all right, it won't damage
<v Speaker 1>the night vision.
<v Speaker 2>Right, yes, sir. And you know brid light. If you
<v Speaker 2>shine a regular bright light on anything, flashlight, spotlight or
<v Speaker 2>you know, any kind of animals, you know, they don't
<v Speaker 2>look their eyes light up, but they're usually gonna be
<v Speaker 2>turning their head or trying to avoid that light in
<v Speaker 2>some way, unless they're just really curious. You know a
<v Speaker 2>lot of deer, let's sit they're stare at the white light,
<v Speaker 2>you know, let's sit there and stare at the what
<v Speaker 2>you know, car light in the middle of the road,
<v Speaker 2>you know, until you hit them if you didn't slow down.
<v Speaker 2>I really love using them. The red lins, the red light.
<v Speaker 2>It it's always you know, work well. A lot of
<v Speaker 2>a lot of the people, you know, talking about one
<v Speaker 2>of call. They like using the regular light because they
<v Speaker 2>say it, Hm, it's more like a camouflages differing. Ever's
<v Speaker 2>behind that light it's you know, bright enough, or they
<v Speaker 2>can't see past their light, you know, it blinds them
<v Speaker 2>and they can't see used, so they don't know what
<v Speaker 2>it is. But I just really believe in the red lins,
<v Speaker 2>the red light doing any kind of like critter calling
<v Speaker 2>or whatever form of calling.

<v Speaker 1>any call blast, you're using the red light to look
<v Speaker 1>for whatever. In correct.

<v Speaker 2>I have. I've seen the lights in the woods before. Yeah,

<v Speaker 2>the time. But we're still going to not far from here.
<v Speaker 2>You're close to the Nolan River from the Brasis River
<v Speaker 2>any whereas the Nolan River feeds into the Brasis around
<v Speaker 2>little community coming of bloom Blum Take. I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>they're fifteen miles from me. Lived over there for a
<v Speaker 2>little while before moved over here, and uh, I just
<v Speaker 2>said all that for engineers land the public tune like
<v Speaker 2>the bows can't rafflehart or nothing on it their permanent
<v Speaker 2>mount all you won't or go on it all you
<v Speaker 2>want during the year or whatever. We used to go
<v Speaker 2>down there a lot at night, just see you could
<v Speaker 2>kind of camp out on it. Now you can't do
<v Speaker 2>that no more than wanted to camp out there. And uh,
<v Speaker 2>we're back twenty years ago a little more. We used
<v Speaker 2>to go down there camping quite often. And uh, and
<v Speaker 2>we see them lights, you know, you think it's somebody
<v Speaker 2>else with a flashlight walking through the woods. You know.
<v Speaker 2>We've been thinking whether you know, one of our friends,
<v Speaker 2>don't you know some of our friends knew were camping
<v Speaker 2>down there. Whatever. Figure maybe they was coming down there,
<v Speaker 2>somebody coming down the messing with this, or or somebody
<v Speaker 2>just doing the same thing, you know, you know, on
<v Speaker 2>the camp out somewhere and during the weekend or something.
<v Speaker 2>But you see the lights, you know, moving through the
<v Speaker 2>woods kind of at different heights, and sometimes the intensity,
<v Speaker 2>you know, with the light being brighter. You know, I
<v Speaker 2>think somebody's you know, getting pretty close to the flashlight.
<v Speaker 1>What color was.
<v Speaker 2>They were more uh what I call ambers, yeah looking, Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>That's what I seen. I've seen two of them moving
<v Speaker 1>about four feet off the ground and they were like
<v Speaker 1>an orange yellow color. I thought they were like people
<v Speaker 1>with flashlights or lanterns or something walking through the woods
<v Speaker 1>at night.
<v Speaker 2>Mm hmm. And the older you know, the older flash
<v Speaker 2>lights before they comes with the yellow these and these
<v Speaker 2>different kind of light bulbs. Most lights were flashlights or
<v Speaker 2>any of the battery ladders. A lot of them were
<v Speaker 2>the yellowish looking light amber color, and so that, you know,
<v Speaker 2>back then, that's what really might think of, you know,
<v Speaker 2>just one of the old yellow bubb looking flashlights walking
<v Speaker 2>through there, somebody coming. Yeah, they would end up going
<v Speaker 2>away and uh, you know, dispiry as quick as you
<v Speaker 2>know they did. You know what they appeared.
<v Speaker 1>Did you ever approach them or did you just stand
<v Speaker 1>and observe them.
<v Speaker 2>There was one time member brother in law and uh,
<v Speaker 2>his nephew who was camping out down there. Nephew was
<v Speaker 2>a young kid, and I loved doing all that stuff
<v Speaker 2>on the river. So we went down there to him
<v Speaker 2>camping down there with us, and we was kind of
<v Speaker 2>it was kind of father in there than what we
<v Speaker 2>usually usually uh go or whatever in a little different
<v Speaker 2>spot h down by an old cave. It's inside of
<v Speaker 2>the chief down there along the Middle River. And uh,
<v Speaker 2>you know one night we thought, you know, I thought
<v Speaker 2>somebody was coaching uh some of the land that joins
<v Speaker 2>up with that with that government land there. Uh you know,
<v Speaker 2>we knew the people that owned all the land down
<v Speaker 2>through there there joined and connected and a lot of
<v Speaker 2>times they let us, you know, go through their property
<v Speaker 2>hark to pick up and you know we cross over
<v Speaker 2>and go on goverment land. We have fun. And we
<v Speaker 2>actually seeing it looks like there's two lights, and we
<v Speaker 2>thought somebody was walking round through there in the trees,
<v Speaker 2>you know, on their property that had joined it. And
<v Speaker 2>we actually went looking for it. You know, we could
<v Speaker 2>see it. It looks like we was getting closer everything else.
<v Speaker 2>And uh, but we was having used lights also to
<v Speaker 2>you know, walking through the woods, you know, seeing where
<v Speaker 2>to go. But we was trying to keep our lights
<v Speaker 2>down to the ground that way nobody else you know,
<v Speaker 2>might not see us coming that way. And but yeah,
<v Speaker 2>they ended up disappearing. We just that time figure you know,
<v Speaker 2>well they've seen our lights, you know, coming that way
<v Speaker 2>towards end. We figured they cut them off and and
<v Speaker 2>it was high them from us or whatever didn't want
<v Speaker 2>to be seen again. But they never did come back
<v Speaker 2>home or nothing. So we went back to where we
<v Speaker 2>was camping at. Yeah, but that that area there around Blum,
<v Speaker 2>it's got a lot of history right there in that
<v Speaker 2>little town. It ain't it ain't very big now, but
<v Speaker 2>since the railroad, they moved the railroad and and took
<v Speaker 2>out the old railroad depot. Whether the railroad depots there,
<v Speaker 2>but it goes in a different direction. There used to
<v Speaker 2>be a school there that in the twenties and teens
<v Speaker 2>somewhere in there and nineteen hundreds thirty nineteen hundreds that
<v Speaker 2>there was a railroad university there where they taught people
<v Speaker 2>how to work on the railroads. Had to do everything
<v Speaker 2>before to send them out. Wann't actually work on some
<v Speaker 2>of the trains to those steam engines. And it wasn't
<v Speaker 2>a very big deal. Just the little boot in town.
<v Speaker 2>Then for a good while on that road come through there,
<v Speaker 2>and uh, there was a I think his last name
<v Speaker 2>was Blood or Bailey, I can't, I can't remember exactly.
<v Speaker 2>But the guy had his own train and uh, he
<v Speaker 2>had a circus and uh, I think it was called
<v Speaker 2>I think his name was Blood. But he used to
<v Speaker 2>they talked about he used to tie the elephants up
<v Speaker 2>there at his house and you know, the train callers
<v Speaker 2>and stuff down there with the animals on them on
<v Speaker 2>a little bypass or whatever whenever they you know, they
<v Speaker 2>wasn't out tearing or whatever. H different stage, shitty user.

<v Speaker 2>There's a historical market there about it. I can't remember
<v Speaker 2>exactly what it says.

<v Speaker 2>uh my brother in law's grandma. Uh hum. She used
<v Speaker 2>to talk about as a kid, well, people talking about
<v Speaker 2>a white gorilla there on that river and uh she
<v Speaker 2>talked about remember her dad and uh some others going
<v Speaker 2>and supposed to be looking for it, trying to find it.
<v Speaker 2>They thought it was down there in a cave that
<v Speaker 2>was on the side of that cliff. Kind of when
<v Speaker 2>I was talking about earlier that that cave in the
<v Speaker 2>area's well known because that's what Philip Nolan in Keista door. Uh.
<v Speaker 2>They found part of his stuff in there when when
<v Speaker 2>when the Spanish turned on him thought he was uh
<v Speaker 2>being too friendly with the Indians, making friends instead of
<v Speaker 2>just taking their horses and stuff. There's a lot of
<v Speaker 2>history right there about that and Philip know when the
<v Speaker 2>grave out there. But yeah, they always thought that that
<v Speaker 2>gorilla or whatever they thought made real escaped off that
<v Speaker 2>circus train and uh, and they used to talk about it,
<v Speaker 2>they said, for several years people were supposed to see it,
<v Speaker 2>you know, supposedly huge whatever. And you know, now I think, maybe,
<v Speaker 2>well that's that wasn't a gorilla that got off the
<v Speaker 2>train made you know, that's actually you know, a big
<v Speaker 2>food or sasquatches been running through that area for years.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it could be. Have you ever found any reports

<v Speaker 2>I've heard one. Uh. Yeah, there's another hunter in East Texas.

<v Speaker 2>there's like a retirement kind of resort, exclusive you know
<v Speaker 2>to older people or whatever that you know, it's like

<v Speaker 2>got own fire department, owned police department, and it's called
<v Speaker 2>Hilltop and uh and one weld was was close to there,
<v Speaker 2>and I've heard others talking about uh they was out hunting.
<v Speaker 2>You kind of described the same noise in a way. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>just by the way they was, you know, talking about it.
<v Speaker 2>I mean it sounded so much similar to what I heard,
<v Speaker 2>but just didn't know where exactly that who'd that report
<v Speaker 2>come from, or where it was or just looking out
<v Speaker 2>there on some random stuff I seen on the video.

<v Speaker 1>juvenile bigfoot or possibly a rake. It went up to
<v Speaker 1>the tree, sniffed the tree that he was just at,
<v Speaker 1>and it looked up into the air, but then it
<v Speaker 1>turned its head and focused on the hunter. The guy
<v Speaker 1>said he shot a few shots into the air and
<v Speaker 1>the creature took off, but he was so scared that
<v Speaker 1>he went back to his truck. But yeah, I appreciate
