<v Speaker 1>Welcome on into the Non Tender podcast, where back again <v Speaker 1>for another week. Let's just count with it. We're doing <v Speaker 1>shorter this week. We keep doing like three hour long <v Speaker 1>marathon episodes. <v Speaker 2>Well, in our defense, but there's just a lot to <v Speaker 2>talk about it and there was a lot of hot <v Speaker 2>sauce to consume. That is true. <v Speaker 1>So I am curious though, I am curious if people <v Speaker 1>like the longer can we do a poet immediately as <v Speaker 1>we start? I'm curious, And if you're watching this after <v Speaker 1>the fact, leave it in the comments too, because I'm <v Speaker 1>going to try and keep this to like an hour <v Speaker 1>hour and a half because it's supposed to It was <v Speaker 1>supposed to be an hour at one point. But I'm <v Speaker 1>curious people like the shorter episodes or the longer episodes? <v Speaker 2>I mean, who wouldn't want longer episodes? <v Speaker 1>Well you would think that, But I saw a comment <v Speaker 1>and I get one guide all the time, but I <v Speaker 1>did see a comment that was like, I used to <v Speaker 1>like this podcast, but I don't get the time. <v Speaker 2>Okay, well they can just you know, watch as much <v Speaker 2>and then just did. <v Speaker 1>So what am I asking, like, do they do they <v Speaker 1>like the long longer episodes or shorter episodes longer, and <v Speaker 1>they know what that means, like an hour, hour and <v Speaker 1>a half or like two and a half hours. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>welcome on everybody. I'm really excited to be here, joined <v Speaker 1>as always by Sully and Night. Also, we have Breton <v Speaker 1>on the ones and tubes out there in the studio, <v Speaker 1>and we actually have added a monitor in here that <v Speaker 1>you guys can't see, so I can see him all <v Speaker 1>the time, like a window into the joyous facial world <v Speaker 1>that is Breenton. I said, I said, facial laughed. You <v Speaker 1>can show yourself when I talk about you. You know, <v Speaker 1>that's just a silly little goose. <v Speaker 2>This is a silly little I read that in this Condoms. <v Speaker 1>Okay podcast. All right, Well, we already have a pull <v Speaker 1>up and we already have like over one hundred votes. <v Speaker 1>They're saying that everyone, what's the percentage? Well, I might <v Speaker 1>try and keep it short at today. <v Speaker 2>We'll see. I'll leave it up for a little bit. <v Speaker 1>I'm finally not sick, but I'm so far behind and everything. <v Speaker 1>I gotta beat him ups. Video out yesterday, which I'm <v Speaker 1>really happy about it, very nice. I like that video. <v Speaker 1>Indiana Jones, Tomadatchi Life and Pragmata Well, speaking of we <v Speaker 1>I'm not going to touch the button yet. We have <v Speaker 1>a lot to talk about today, mostly the price hike, <v Speaker 1>which I hate to say, I told you so, you did. <v Speaker 1>I think it was two episodes ago. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it was discussed. <v Speaker 1>We discussed the possibility of a price hike that was <v Speaker 1>already rumored. Yeah, yes, well it was rumored because the <v Speaker 1>rest of the industry was doing it. And then there <v Speaker 1>was some sparks with that that that guy that used <v Speaker 1>to work at Nintendo going on Kitt and Christa and <v Speaker 1>essentially saying, yeah, they're probably gonna do it. You know, <v Speaker 1>that's nothing official, but it definitely seemed like it. And <v Speaker 1>after doing our episode, we kind of came to that conclusion, <v Speaker 1>and then we also pulled chat. <v Speaker 2>They were like, eighty percent it's going to happen. <v Speaker 1>It happened pretty So what I'm saying is, if you <v Speaker 1>watch the podcast, you already knew about this. <v Speaker 2>That's true. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you guys, guys are in the know. I know, <v Speaker 1>we're just behind now talking about it actually happened. But <v Speaker 1>we're going to talk about it. And the main thing <v Speaker 1>I want to talk about is is it's still worth <v Speaker 1>five hundred dollars because I tweeted that and it got <v Speaker 1>a lot of mixed results. It was very controversial apparently, <v Speaker 1>and I want to I want to break it down again. <v Speaker 1>Although I feel like a little bit of a broken <v Speaker 1>record at this point because I've been talking about this <v Speaker 1>system being worth its price and my opinion that I <v Speaker 1>thought it was going to be five hundred to begin with, <v Speaker 1>So I feel like my opinion should already be kind <v Speaker 1>of obvious. <v Speaker 2>But we'll get everybody's opinion. Of course, we'll break it down. <v Speaker 1>But before we get to that, I think I want <v Speaker 1>to change that the animation. I think I want to <v Speaker 1>classic what would you change it? Two weeks of doing this, <v Speaker 1>we got to keep it going. Oh, by the way, <v Speaker 1>happy four years of Nontenders, Right, yeah, I think we <v Speaker 1>should we should address that before we end of the game. <v Speaker 3>Yes, say you god, how do you feel about four <v Speaker 3>years of this podcast? <v Speaker 2>I can't believe it's been four years. <v Speaker 1>I so I keep getting one guide in the in <v Speaker 1>the Patreon episode for today, we're going. <v Speaker 2>To be what is it? <v Speaker 1>We're gonna be going over the wildest I hate comments. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>we've gotten so far, so yeah, I don't know. That's <v Speaker 1>a whole other tangent but the internet has been trying <v Speaker 1>to drag me recently on a bunch of different avenues, <v Speaker 1>and it's I don't understand any of it. So we've <v Speaker 1>got a bunch of hate comments. But one I saw <v Speaker 1>the other day was something about the only reason I <v Speaker 1>watched the podcast is to watch would give up on <v Speaker 1>another project. <v Speaker 2>Or something like that. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's been four years, Like at what point, Like <v Speaker 1>am I good? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 1>At what point did I like really try that? Podcasts <v Speaker 1>are not a decade? <v Speaker 2>No? Do it once a week is a lot of <v Speaker 2>the amount. <v Speaker 1>Of comments I see about like how I'm doing on <v Speaker 1>the podcast, or like the way that I do you <v Speaker 1>sit here in two Yeah, you try to try. <v Speaker 3>And he's got like a team that's like funneling thousands <v Speaker 3>of dollars into you and investing into you to do it, <v Speaker 3>and they're taking care of everything. You used the poster boy, <v Speaker 3>it's not easy. <v Speaker 1>We do these live so like Live, I need to <v Speaker 1>narrate a show, I need to keep a show structure, <v Speaker 1>and like sometimes I make mistakes, So sometimes I like <v Speaker 1>don't do a good job. But for the most part, <v Speaker 1>I think I do a pretty good job. Should hire <v Speaker 1>content live? Yeah, Ira, what No? I don't like Obviously, <v Speaker 1>that's why I like doing it live because it's a <v Speaker 1>challenge because like I see a vision in my head <v Speaker 1>of like this is how the episode is probably going <v Speaker 1>to go, and then it's me trying to like create <v Speaker 1>that and flow that. Obviously, with like Brenton's help cutting <v Speaker 1>the show, you guys help making it not boring. <v Speaker 2>And we do it live. <v Speaker 3>Most people do their podcast not live, like all the topic. <v Speaker 2>Because it's way easier. Does Joe Rogan do his live? <v Speaker 2>I doubt no. Way the wild stuff that comes out <v Speaker 2>of that show, yeah you can't. <v Speaker 1>But that's that's the other thing too that I think <v Speaker 1>you just mentioned is that you're not just the host <v Speaker 1>by in front of the camera. You do everything behind <v Speaker 1>the scenes as well. Oh thank you for so much. <v Speaker 1>It's just everyone here has a part as an Oh <v Speaker 1>you mean like putting together the title, the thumbnail, the <v Speaker 1>episode documentary. Yeah, everything, But like that's that's I think <v Speaker 1>what the strongest point of this podcast is is because <v Speaker 1>everyone has such an equal hand in like getting everything <v Speaker 1>now and right now. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, like a. <v Speaker 1>Large reason why this show is better than ever now, <v Speaker 1>and I truly believe it is everybody working on this <v Speaker 1>show has a role to play. <v Speaker 2>Before it was just you and Bob doing everything fifty <v Speaker 2>to fifty. <v Speaker 1>Well, to be honest, and we've talked about this a lot, <v Speaker 1>but the deal was that I would do everything to <v Speaker 1>get Bob involved. I just took. <v Speaker 2>Equity just for showing up. <v Speaker 1>Well, yeah, he did a lot as far as like <v Speaker 1>bringing his presence, his audience. He was one hundred percent <v Speaker 1>invested in the episodes when he was there. Yeah, and <v Speaker 1>like he like was passionate about it. He also did <v Speaker 1>the branding and he would do any new much that <v Speaker 1>we had. So I don't want to underplay what he <v Speaker 1>was doing because he was like one hundred percent. He <v Speaker 1>was my business partner and I couldn't done it without him. <v Speaker 1>But as far as like all stuff I just described, <v Speaker 1>it was still yeah I was, but now you have <v Speaker 1>more of the help than you Now the help is <v Speaker 1>a lot easier for sure. And yeah, I think you <v Speaker 1>said too like it's become a much higher tiered podcast. <v Speaker 1>I definitely feel that way, And I mean I can <v Speaker 1>see the production value increase more and more as this <v Speaker 1>goes along, other than when it hits The Basement series, <v Speaker 1>which you know wasn't my favorite, but it is nice <v Speaker 1>to see how many times I did the episode with <v Speaker 1>Kim and o'roy there. <v Speaker 2>It's so sweet to see that. Honestly, I love. <v Speaker 1>Thank you Expressman for making that. Thank you express Moon, <v Speaker 1>I appreciate it so much. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and thank you guys for sticking around for four years. <v Speaker 3>And I've only been here for a couple of months, <v Speaker 3>but I appreciate it. <v Speaker 2>You know, you guys. I want to be sat here <v Speaker 2>today with this guy. <v Speaker 1>I would have never met Knight, yeah, or would or <v Speaker 1>Pat or Red or usif that is true. <v Speaker 2>True. <v Speaker 1>And when I sat down and that one video and <v Speaker 1>I was like, you know, if I keep doing this, <v Speaker 1>We're going to meet new faces. We're going to meet <v Speaker 1>new people, people that I don't even know. I had <v Speaker 1>no idea at that point. I was talking about all <v Speaker 1>of you guys. But I love how close we will <v Speaker 1>become and the family that will go here in the financials. <v Speaker 2>I love it. <v Speaker 1>I love you guys, and yeah, thank you for the <v Speaker 1>four years. It really does mean a lot. Brenton's doing <v Speaker 1>a heart in the camera, but he didn't cut to <v Speaker 1>himself again to do it. <v Speaker 2>Man, he's doing it for you. Is private? Will me? Oh, <v Speaker 2>thank you. <v Speaker 1>I appreciate it. But yeah, I love you guys. Thank <v Speaker 1>you so much for everybody, especially the Patreons. Oh yeah, <v Speaker 1>the patres What I do without them? <v Speaker 2>All? Right? Games, So what have we been playing? I <v Speaker 2>will go first for it, will I? <v Speaker 1>Where's my controller? Uh? <v Speaker 2>Is this your little shop segment? Right now? It's just <v Speaker 2>the games he's been playing. <v Speaker 1>Oh. <v Speaker 2>I was going to show the games I've been playing, <v Speaker 2>but I guess I've lost it. Well. <v Speaker 1>In my episode yesterday, I talked about Indiana Jones, which <v Speaker 1>was one that I couldn't talk about last week. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>been playing that, really enjoying that. If you want my <v Speaker 1>full thoughts, you can go and watch that episode. But <v Speaker 1>the thing that I really wanted to say last week <v Speaker 1>was just how gorgeous it was. <v Speaker 2>Like, it's a phenomenal looking game. <v Speaker 1>Can't believe how good it looks, and it's all fully <v Speaker 1>on the cart so it's a great game to pick <v Speaker 1>up and support. Really really happy with it. The other <v Speaker 1>one I wanted to mention was Mixtape. Oh, because there <v Speaker 1>has been so much controversy around Mixtape, and I really <v Speaker 1>wanted because it's on switch To it's twenty bucks, I <v Speaker 1>really wanted to check it out before this episode so <v Speaker 1>that I. <v Speaker 2>Could have an opinion on it. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, and I didn't get a chance to play it <v Speaker 1>until today, Okay, so I was cramming it today and <v Speaker 1>I played it for an hour. So all right, let <v Speaker 1>me actually let me pull up a little bit of <v Speaker 1>gameplay of this game so we can talk about it. <v Speaker 1>So I haven't got any articles about this, but the <v Speaker 1>controversy around this game has been wild. Essentially that it's <v Speaker 1>not an actual game. It's like a visual It's essentially <v Speaker 1>a movie. It's a two and a half three hour <v Speaker 1>long movie that you have control over at times. So <v Speaker 1>like here in this section, this section, So all right, <v Speaker 1>let me kind of explain the game. It's called Mixtape <v Speaker 1>because the main protagonist loves making mixtapes. Okay, Like her <v Speaker 1>dream job is that she wants to be a music <v Speaker 1>super advisor on like movies and TV shows and like <v Speaker 1>build the soundtrack the soundtrack, right, So this game is <v Speaker 1>her building a soundtrack to her life. So she'll be like, <v Speaker 1>here's the next song, and she'll introduce it and then <v Speaker 1>you play out that song. So this was one of <v Speaker 1>the songs. It literally went for like three minutes and <v Speaker 1>all you could do is you could spam like head crashing. <v Speaker 1>You could spam like touching the light in the car. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>so you have control over that. But if you put <v Speaker 1>the controller down, the game would keep going. They would <v Speaker 1>just be sat there quietly right in the car, which <v Speaker 1>would be funny in its own right. <v Speaker 2>So it is. It's just it's a three hour interactive movie. <v Speaker 1>Yes, and when like this part here, I played this part, <v Speaker 1>and I actually did put the controller down because I <v Speaker 1>wanted to know if it actually did play itself. And <v Speaker 1>it does, okay, And if you wanted to take control, <v Speaker 1>you could spin the card around and you could like <v Speaker 1>move where it goes. But like having the assisted steering <v Speaker 1>on in Mariokott, you can't. You literally can't mess up. <v Speaker 1>There's no way of messing up. So it does play itself. Now, <v Speaker 1>now that I've explained all that, I wanted to explain <v Speaker 1>it because I love the Walking Dead Telltale series. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, that game was very much like and at the. <v Speaker 1>Time people called it a playable movie, and they would <v Speaker 1>say that in a degrading way. That would be like joh, <v Speaker 1>play right, And that's how I felt. So I honestly <v Speaker 1>I went to play this because I wanted to defend <v Speaker 1>it and be like, this is a Walking Dead situation whatever. <v Speaker 1>I guess solo after my hour of playing it, which <v Speaker 1>is apparently almost half the game, I have to agree <v Speaker 1>with most of the backlash. Well, I mean, it's it's <v Speaker 1>got nineties vibes. It's definitely trying to tell a story. <v Speaker 1>It's definitely like a like an artsy like niche genre <v Speaker 1>of a thing. <v Speaker 2>Is this story at least good entertaining? <v Speaker 1>It's not bad. I wasn't like, were you hooked? I <v Speaker 1>was hooked in some of like these moments. I was like, <v Speaker 1>that's pretty cool, like the way it's telling the story <v Speaker 1>and talking about music, the way it would cut away <v Speaker 1>from the game. The overarching story is that this girl <v Speaker 1>has booked a ticket to go to New York, but <v Speaker 1>her friends want her to go on a road trip, <v Speaker 1>and it's kind of her like explaining to them why <v Speaker 1>she wants. <v Speaker 2>To go to New York. Coming of age. <v Speaker 1>It's very coming of age, So it is it's good. <v Speaker 1>This part grossed me out. You control their tongues. That <v Speaker 1>that was very good. Who's kissing who? <v Speaker 2>I don't remember. I won't spoil it. I'm never gonna <v Speaker 2>play this game. I keep in mind again I played <v Speaker 2>it for an hour. <v Speaker 1>I did find myself when a cut scene would start <v Speaker 1>pulling out my phone to distract myself because I was <v Speaker 1>getting a little bored. So it's I fully expected to <v Speaker 1>be in defense of this game. I fully expected probably <v Speaker 1>thought it was going to be like The Walking Dead. <v Speaker 1>I thought it would be like a Walking Dead thing. <v Speaker 1>And I'm like, because everyone said that that was a <v Speaker 1>playable movie, and like you have so much controlling wait, <v Speaker 1>like you controlled the destiny this. <v Speaker 2>I agree. <v Speaker 1>The game plays itself. You don't actually need to do anything. <v Speaker 1>You can sit back and watch it happen. If you engage, <v Speaker 1>it's gimmicky and it's fun. It's like, oh, I'm hitting <v Speaker 1>the light in tune with the music. That's what you <v Speaker 1>don't have to and you don't get anything for doing gotcha? <v Speaker 1>So I yeah, I do actually have to agree a <v Speaker 1>little bit, and I do. The reason why it blew <v Speaker 1>up is because IGN gave it a ten out of ten. <v Speaker 1>Ten out paid for you a little bit mad at <v Speaker 1>the rating. So and I'm the first person sometimes to <v Speaker 1>defend IGN's reviews, especially when they come from my boy. <v Speaker 1>Logan ten out of ten is who reviewed Logan? No, <v Speaker 1>someone else guy, But ten out of ten is I <v Speaker 1>don't get that it is not a masterpiece? Is it <v Speaker 1>a ten out of ten for an interactive movie game? <v Speaker 2>I mean, I don't think I've. <v Speaker 1>Really seen another one that's like this level of like <v Speaker 1>literally a movie that you can somewhat engage with. So like, <v Speaker 1>I guess it's the best one. And it's genre. <v Speaker 3>Well yeah, I mean, how many games like this are <v Speaker 3>out there where there's literally. <v Speaker 1>No ad compared to it to like, I don't. <v Speaker 2>Know, probably none. <v Speaker 1>So I mean ten out of ten minutes genre, I <v Speaker 1>could maybe give it that ten out of ten as <v Speaker 1>a whole. <v Speaker 2>I'm not putting it up there with all carena at <v Speaker 2>a time. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it was just maybe you know, yeah, because you <v Speaker 1>you mentioned a good point where like games like The <v Speaker 1>Walking Dead or even like I know someone in chat <v Speaker 1>mentioned like the Minecraft story mode like that at least <v Speaker 1>like those games, you have control over what can happen. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>and with depending on the story, like your actions you <v Speaker 1>have concerts, they give you choice. Yeah, this is just <v Speaker 1>like if like it's basically saying like, oh, if you <v Speaker 1>want to play a game, you can. But other than that, <v Speaker 1>just like it looks really like Netflix. It's very pretty. <v Speaker 1>It looks really like very I love lighting. But yeah, <v Speaker 1>there's a lot to like here. It's very pretty. If <v Speaker 1>it's just yeah, two and a half hours. I just <v Speaker 1>watched the Ever really was a fan of stuff like that. <v Speaker 3>I mean, The Walking Dead probably the only exception, maybe <v Speaker 3>because it was like the first time a game I'd <v Speaker 3>played that had like interactions where you could choose your <v Speaker 3>path like while you're playing the game. But I remember <v Speaker 3>Netflix tried to do that with like a show. <v Speaker 1>I was thinking that if this feels like something that <v Speaker 1>should have been on Netflix, Netflix game, it should have <v Speaker 1>been an Netflix game, not necessarily so much a console game. <v Speaker 2>I see. <v Speaker 1>But I mean there's definitely some stuff to love here, <v Speaker 1>and I'm sure there will be people that really enjoy <v Speaker 1>this experience. I just was going to go into it <v Speaker 1>to defend what people are saying. People are right. I mean, <v Speaker 1>it is it is. It is what they were This <v Speaker 1>is the full game too, Okay, Yeah, the whole game <v Speaker 1>is two and a half hours, And I would say <v Speaker 1>that there's not like really a twenty. <v Speaker 2>Bucks I don't see, yeah maybeud. <v Speaker 1>I mean more like it depends what you want, because <v Speaker 1>like if you if you were to buy a four <v Speaker 1>K movie. If you were to go out and be like, <v Speaker 1>I want to go buy nobody to on four K <v Speaker 1>and go home and watch if that's going to cost <v Speaker 1>you twenty twenty five bucks, yeah, movies twenty bucks. Movie <v Speaker 1>ticket probably costs bout twenty bucks these days, like rent <v Speaker 1>a movie, you know, But if you want to compare <v Speaker 1>it to like Stardy Valley's twenty bucks, that's a different <v Speaker 1>cont that makes sense. It just depends, you know. But anyway, <v Speaker 1>that's my thoughts on that. I just wanted to have <v Speaker 1>an opinion and that's mine. <v Speaker 2>What about you, guys? What have you been playing? You <v Speaker 2>want to go? You can go? <v Speaker 1>I mean, well, I mean I haven't really been playing <v Speaker 1>anything new some more Tominacci. I realized, like because I <v Speaker 1>saw a part of your video when it came to <v Speaker 1>like the creativity of that game, because you reach a <v Speaker 1>certain point where you realize, like the more I the <v Speaker 1>more means I have, which is great because you have <v Speaker 1>more interactions. <v Speaker 2>But then it's just the recycled did you make me? No? <v Speaker 2>I saw yet I did get I'm not buying you <v Speaker 2>red bullets. That is messed up, Doug. <v Speaker 1>Anyway, I know what I gotta make red to Actually <v Speaker 1>at this point, I gotta make everyone. I will make <v Speaker 1>you that actually, but like that's the thing, like when <v Speaker 1>it comes to creativity. And then we and we talked <v Speaker 1>about it before, how sacrificing the online functionality for no <v Speaker 1>Filter is great, but maybe only it can only go <v Speaker 1>so far into you realize, like I really actually have <v Speaker 1>to start designing really cool things, and I want to <v Speaker 1>make it feel more immersive, Like it took me like <v Speaker 1>thirty minutes to draw a jersey. <v Speaker 2>Like the other day, like on like the cool custom thing. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it took me quite a bit to do that, <v Speaker 1>But like, am I willing to do that for everything? <v Speaker 1>Probably not. That's exactly how I feel. It's like I <v Speaker 1>have a vision. I can see, like kind I could <v Speaker 1>maybe do a cheesecake, But do I want to spend <v Speaker 1>an hour making one cheesecake that I'm going to feed <v Speaker 1>my guys, like one or two. It's like it's one <v Speaker 1>item in a very large game of custom stuff. <v Speaker 2>And then I think, yeah, that's true. <v Speaker 1>Your videos also said that if you want to like <v Speaker 1>get the mes earlier, you have to have what me <v Speaker 1>topia download at me and they want to download me <v Speaker 1>extra steps and then it breaks anyway. Oh yeah, apparently <v Speaker 1>a lot of the facial like style. Yeah, so Todaci <v Speaker 1>And but it is fun. It is fun. <v Speaker 2>It's funny. I make your own. So do we got <v Speaker 2>number sills about the game? We do have numbers. We <v Speaker 2>can talk about that later. <v Speaker 1>I used to ye about it. We can bring it up. <v Speaker 1>I mean we're on topic. I don't know if I <v Speaker 1>put it in my thing though, Oh yeah that I <v Speaker 1>think the numbers came out like the night after the podcast. <v Speaker 3>Oh and yeah, literally this night after the podcast, and <v Speaker 3>that's when intend to increase the price hike, like. <v Speaker 2>Right right, yeah, right after we ended. <v Speaker 1>Uh so we had not really a bet, but Sully's <v Speaker 1>had a he had a prediction. So they had a <v Speaker 1>prediction that Tomadotta Life would sell better than Polkapia did, <v Speaker 1>which and I I don't think we were on the <v Speaker 1>same page. <v Speaker 3>We were like, no, you guys thought I was crazy, <v Speaker 3>but then you conceded. <v Speaker 1>But then the week after I realized, oh, it is <v Speaker 1>a switch one game, Yeah, so it has. <v Speaker 3>I still was kind of like, b you told me <v Speaker 3>that if it didn't outsaw that you're I'm quitting the podcast. <v Speaker 1>So I said, that's true. You said that to me, <v Speaker 1>bro So I just pulled this article. Look, I hope <v Speaker 1>we get out of it what I'm looking for. Tomadoccia Life. <v Speaker 1>It sold three point eight million in the first two weeks. <v Speaker 1>Four million in the first two weeks. I don't know <v Speaker 1>that was the first two days. No, right, No, it <v Speaker 1>sold two million in the first four days. <v Speaker 2>Okay, Well that's pretty good. <v Speaker 3>Sold four million units worldwide as of so well, Pocopedia <v Speaker 3>has sold four million in the first five weeks. <v Speaker 1>So so far, it's sold four million. Tomadacci sold three <v Speaker 1>point eight in the first two weeks as of right now, <v Speaker 1>we don't have a number that's higher than But does <v Speaker 1>seem like that. I did concede. It's not like astronomically exceed, <v Speaker 1>but it's still like that. I mean over time, but <v Speaker 1>I give it over still poke Pia, over time. <v Speaker 2>I mean, you. <v Speaker 3>Gotta get those switch sales out and with that price hike, <v Speaker 3>good luck selling. <v Speaker 1>Well that's true, but the I have it in here somewhere. Actually, <v Speaker 1>but who was it. I'm gonna bring up my doc. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>let me bring up my dog, because somebody at Nintendo <v Speaker 1>said that pa Copia is the new switch to staple, <v Speaker 1>which is yeah, here we go. Nintendo president Shantaro says <v Speaker 1>POKEMONA is the new staple of switch To. This year <v Speaker 1>marks the thirty anniversary released Pokemon Red and Green, and <v Speaker 1>we recognize Pokemon is enjoying blah blah blah blah blah. <v Speaker 1>We're grateful Pokemon has been released and is driving hardware sales. <v Speaker 1>Will hope to continue selling the title for a long <v Speaker 1>time as a new staple for the switch To. So <v Speaker 1>they're going to be pushing it. Yeah, so it is <v Speaker 1>a good game. You're going to be coming against your <v Speaker 1>Tomadacci is going to be coming against. <v Speaker 3>I would say Pop is better than Tomadocci living Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 3>agree with that. But the thing is, you got to <v Speaker 3>understand that Tamadacci brings out the creativity in people like <v Speaker 3>that are artists, and there's a lot of those out there. <v Speaker 2>My god, you can get pretty autistic and. <v Speaker 1>No, but not like life brod outfits. <v Speaker 2>It's like next level. <v Speaker 1>I mean, Kim is super Atzi and she has no <v Speaker 1>interest in Tomadocci because she is all in on Pocopia, <v Speaker 1>Like she does not have the time. <v Speaker 3>Copy is like a blend of animal crossing too, So <v Speaker 3>it probably hits that it's a more vibrant game you're <v Speaker 3>in like the world the world is wild Pokemon. <v Speaker 1>I think Toma Ducie is gonna do really good right now, <v Speaker 1>and it seems to be doing really good right now. <v Speaker 1>Again that huge in store base that it has, which <v Speaker 1>it did have over a relatively small in store based <v Speaker 1>like you know, in comparison. I think moving forward, as <v Speaker 1>we go further in a switch to Pecopia will keep <v Speaker 1>going up. And I think Tom a DUTCHI is gonna <v Speaker 1>like kind of. <v Speaker 2>We'll have this conversation a year from now. <v Speaker 1>But it did way better than I expected, and you would. <v Speaker 1>I will concede that you were. <v Speaker 2>Right, right. I will concede that you are I agree <v Speaker 2>with that. <v Speaker 1>I can agree with that definitely. Yeah, is that what <v Speaker 1>you're playing games? I don't play games, you know, That's right. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. I don't I don't know anything about games. <v Speaker 1>Not a gamer, Yeah, Kylie, Kylie Kardashian is more of <v Speaker 1>a gamer than you are. Yeah. Yeah, she called Gandorf. <v Speaker 1>Well she didn't actually, someone in the room said, said Gandorf, <v Speaker 1>and then. <v Speaker 3>She said the legend of she's like zeld As the <v Speaker 3>best game, but I heard. <v Speaker 2>She knows that she knows a decent mouth about the lore. <v Speaker 2>She knows a little bit. <v Speaker 1>Someone someone in the room said Gandorf, and then she <v Speaker 1>started calling it Gandorf, and I think she was like, oh, <v Speaker 1>it must be Gandorf. Let me find that. Actually, I <v Speaker 1>want to watch that. Now, let's watch the clip. Wait, <v Speaker 1>you might get copyrighted. Really why it's a Netflix show? <v Speaker 2>Right? Oh is it? Well? The clip just play seconds. <v Speaker 2>What's the prom Well you are link mm hmm you <v Speaker 2>are one hundred years ago. Oh my god, such a nerd. <v Speaker 2>I'm such a nerd. <v Speaker 1>I gotta be honest. Some people had an issue with <v Speaker 1>her saying that and her realm. <v Speaker 2>This is very n yeah. Yeahs even knowing the name <v Speaker 2>of the game. <v Speaker 1>She's clearly into it and excited about it, but she's <v Speaker 1>trying to downplay it. And she's trying to downplay it. <v Speaker 1>I think it's cute and I think it's fine. It's fine. <v Speaker 1>It is nerdy for her for someone of her status. <v Speaker 1>This is massive nerd. So we are just like the <v Speaker 1>in cell's bottom of the barrel? <v Speaker 2>What did you do? Did you not think that we were? <v Speaker 1>No? <v Speaker 2>I mean, I mean please right. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, there was like a big war with. <v Speaker 2>All the mm hmm fantastic. She brought it where and <v Speaker 2>where to find you can see. To be honest, and <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna doing a lot of defending hire because I <v Speaker 2>love this clip. <v Speaker 1>I think it's awesome. Sometimes I forget what they're called. <v Speaker 1>I'm like being divine. She's on the right track, though, Yeah, <v Speaker 1>you knew what she meant. You were like waiting for <v Speaker 1>her to get it. Someone said it, she said Gandor. <v Speaker 1>That guy's sent her up to fail. Yeah, no, she <v Speaker 1>said it too, I know. But but she's new to <v Speaker 1>this and she heard someone say Gandorf, so in her <v Speaker 1>mind she's not going to correct it. She's like, oh, <v Speaker 1>it must be because and it's also to be even <v Speaker 1>more fair, I think it's just Gannon in this game. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I don't think it is Ganandorf. <v Speaker 2>I think it's just. <v Speaker 1>I think I think if she's this is the only <v Speaker 1>Eldert she's played the nickname I know. But in this game, <v Speaker 1>I don't think they ever say Ganandorf. I think, okay, well, <v Speaker 1>let me let me, let me look, he doesn't have <v Speaker 1>a a physical he's just he's just clam calamity Ganon. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>In fact, in fact, in fact, the caption even corrects <v Speaker 1>it as Gannon. Okay, so she just heard Gandorf from <v Speaker 1>that guy, and then I just went the fantastic, fantastic. <v Speaker 1>I'm still kind of new. So she googled I skipped it. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>she googled it and found out it was Divine Beasts. <v Speaker 2>Gotcha, I've already kind of conquered one of the Divine beteah, <v Speaker 2>my second Beast. But that's so fun. I went to <v Speaker 2>my second Beast. <v Speaker 1>Years before you started playing the game, there was a war. <v Speaker 2>The world is like, you. <v Speaker 1>Know, shamble, shambles. You know what I love about this <v Speaker 1>too is that I like, my job is to review games. <v Speaker 1>So when I think about how I would like review <v Speaker 1>Breath of the World quickly to somebody and I kind <v Speaker 1>of like get them hooked. I wouldn't start with so <v Speaker 1>one hundred years ago there was this war, and then <v Speaker 1>it was it was in shambles, and then you got <v Speaker 1>But it's just like this really innocent, like she just <v Speaker 1>started the game. That's kind of what it's fresh in <v Speaker 1>her mind, and she's obviously into the story. But I <v Speaker 1>would start talking about more of like the game play, Yeah, <v Speaker 1>like the free roaming, Like she's just talking about like <v Speaker 1>what's resonating with her, and it's just very I think <v Speaker 1>it's very sweet. <v Speaker 3>I think she's trying really hard to explain the story <v Speaker 3>to show like, hey, I actually played this game, and <v Speaker 3>I understand the prime. <v Speaker 2>It's clearly like paying it, of course you get in <v Speaker 2>the world. True black guys supportive, Oh, I like it. <v Speaker 1>You saved the world, yeah, flashbacks. It's the most intricate <v Speaker 1>you could be on that game. Like I've I've played <v Speaker 1>Wait So for days and hours, and there's like missions <v Speaker 1>to completely missions in the castle to save her. <v Speaker 2>To save her, it's the world from the divine. <v Speaker 1>He's asking questions that she doesn't know the answer now. <v Speaker 1>She hasn't played far enough yet. She hasn't got to <v Speaker 1>the castle yet. <v Speaker 3>I mean, but if you get off the Great Plateau, <v Speaker 3>you know that you got to go save Zelden again <v Speaker 3>in his castle. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, but you know, really, first time in the game, <v Speaker 2>you don't really know what's going on. She's she's answering <v Speaker 2>the question. <v Speaker 1>No, Yeah, she's doing basically based off what she's playing, <v Speaker 1>but she doesn't have the grand scope yet. <v Speaker 2>She doesn't really know that. She hasn't got that yet. <v Speaker 3>I like, you should hire Kylie Jenner to take over <v Speaker 3>my seat because you know she's clearly she plays games <v Speaker 3>where I don't. <v Speaker 1>You want it, Kylie, if you want to co host <v Speaker 1>the show, all we do is talk about Nintendo I <v Speaker 1>love and which you know we to be fair, we <v Speaker 1>probably do we do, but in like yeah, which you <v Speaker 1>know we to be fair, we probably do we do, <v Speaker 1>but in like you know, common common folks, normal people, <v Speaker 1>they don't really say that that's not that's not adult. <v Speaker 2>You're doing drugs or something. <v Speaker 3>But the Weekend I love how he represents like the <v Speaker 3>week is always posting on a Snapchat story him in <v Speaker 3>his switch. He was literally he was invited to sega. <v Speaker 3>He we got to play problematter early before it comes sick. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>that's how I want to The Weekends a gamer gamer bro. <v Speaker 3>He loves to switch. <v Speaker 1>He also loves Michael Jackson. <v Speaker 2>Yeah that's true. That's true. <v Speaker 1>I think he started his career as a Michael Jackson impersonator. <v Speaker 1>No way, I think that's true. I don't think. <v Speaker 2>I mean he's I'm thinking of ye. <v Speaker 1>He might not like Michael Jackson. <v Speaker 2>No he does. I'm sure he does. Yeah, I still <v Speaker 2>haven't seen the movie yet. I have to. Yeah, I'm gonna. <v Speaker 1>Right. <v Speaker 2>Are we done? Yes? <v Speaker 1>Look I'm head banging like the game. Yeah, he's just <v Speaker 1>pressing that one button. One button, all right, So you <v Speaker 1>have to cut, cut yourself to yourself? How can I <v Speaker 1>could you gotta cut? And then you do the joke. <v Speaker 1>It's so's it would have been funny. The longer you <v Speaker 1>take now, the more the moment's gone. But I'm not <v Speaker 1>gonna let this go until. <v Speaker 2>You do it it fair enough. Oh wait, that's not me. <v Speaker 2>That's where I'm going to go next. <v Speaker 1>There you go, Oh my god, this is you know, <v Speaker 1>it's there you go. How about you take those little <v Speaker 1>fingers and you do it down on the keyboard? <v Speaker 2>All right? <v Speaker 1>So I went straight to Nintendo's page here for this <v Speaker 1>no fluff, no filler notice regarding price revisions for Switch <v Speaker 1>Nintendo products and services so dedicated video game systems. The <v Speaker 1>one that obviously we are interested in here is Nintendo <v Speaker 1>switch To. <v Speaker 2>That's Japan only though. Yeah, here we go. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, switch to four point fifty is going up to <v Speaker 1>five hundred. I mean, obviously we also have Canada and <v Speaker 1>switch to here Europe here, but those are going. <v Speaker 2>To be Europe's only thirty dollars increase. <v Speaker 1>Well, that's going to be a kind of for inflation, <v Speaker 1>so it'll be like fifty bucks equivalent. What about Canadian <v Speaker 1>because Canadian's only going up by fifty bucks too, and <v Speaker 1>I know they're dollars a weeker than ours. You know, <v Speaker 1>I don't know how that works. Yeah, conversion rates, and <v Speaker 1>I'm moving to Canada. I don't know how that works. <v Speaker 1>I'm assuming, I'm assuming it's just a converted across the board. Also, <v Speaker 1>and this doesn't pertain to us, but the Nintendo Switch <v Speaker 1>on line service is getting a price increase in Japan. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I did see that, So I don't know if that's <v Speaker 1>something we need to be looking out for. We just <v Speaker 1>get one recently too. No, no, I don't think so. Well, <v Speaker 1>the effect for game chat just went in, so you <v Speaker 1>now you have to get that minisode but to use <v Speaker 1>game chat, but nothing for actual just regular NSL. <v Speaker 2>How much is it now? Like twenty a year? <v Speaker 1>Bro? <v Speaker 2>No? No, no, no, no no. <v Speaker 1>I got told for the reason for the Big Boy one. <v Speaker 1>It's like fifty expansion. That's what I got. <v Speaker 2>Fifty. I got charged it recently. <v Speaker 1>I was like what and then I think the Family <v Speaker 1>ones like eighty eighty. <v Speaker 2>I have it with you. Guys want to get on <v Speaker 2>a family plant together? And I have one from just me. <v Speaker 2>And but do you want to adopt someone? <v Speaker 1>I can, I can add someone in the mind. I <v Speaker 1>got ten more spots. Wow, you get twelve? <v Speaker 2>Right? Twelve spots? <v Speaker 1>I don't remember how many spots do you get? Why <v Speaker 1>did I think it was twelve? <v Speaker 2>That's a bit. That's a gaggle of kids right there. <v Speaker 2>That's definitely not Nintendo switch. <v Speaker 1>And then not that it pertains to us really, but <v Speaker 1>also playing cards are getting ah, up to eight an <v Speaker 1>increase up to eight, Okay, not twelve. It's still a lot. <v Speaker 1>That's still that's still a good price. If you break <v Speaker 1>it down, that's ten dollars a person. Yeah, that's pretty good, <v Speaker 1>all right. So the price is going up now, it <v Speaker 1>says here in their page, in light of changes in <v Speaker 1>the market conditions and considering the global business outlookd Nintendo <v Speaker 1>will revise the manufacturers suggested retail price, and then at <v Speaker 1>the very bottom of the thingy it says, we sincerely <v Speaker 1>apologize for the impact these price revisions may have on <v Speaker 1>our customers or other state holders, and we deeply appreciate <v Speaker 1>your understanding. So they apologized in this. I think they <v Speaker 1>tweeted an apology too. Yeah, and then they've also tweeted <v Speaker 1>a bunch of stuff since then, including like, uh like <v Speaker 1>promises to like fill video games till the end of <v Speaker 1>the year. We're gonna look at all of that too. <v Speaker 1>So there's been a lot of like after this happened, <v Speaker 1>a lot of other conversation, which I think a lot <v Speaker 1>of that came out of the fact that as soon <v Speaker 1>as this happened, the shares dropped, yes by like yeah, <v Speaker 1>I was getting pings on my phone from the Robin <v Speaker 1>Hood app all day, like your shares are down. Your <v Speaker 1>shares just. <v Speaker 2>Got the shares from my birthday. <v Speaker 3>As you look at the price of the shares from <v Speaker 3>like ten years ago and Switch one came out, they're <v Speaker 3>exactly the same they are today, Like they have not <v Speaker 3>really off or down. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah. I was saying that in the group chat, <v Speaker 2>you're not going to make money off of yeah. <v Speaker 1>Because they went down, And then someone in the chat <v Speaker 1>was like, time to buy, and I was like, if <v Speaker 1>you had bought ten years ago, you'd have the same <v Speaker 1>yeah money, Like the shares have not changed. <v Speaker 2>Nintendo is just not the one. <v Speaker 1>Nintendo's not the place to get stop short. Yeah no, yeah, no, man, <v Speaker 1>sorry to tell you with you. I know it's fun <v Speaker 1>to have the shares and you're like, I own shares <v Speaker 1>in Nintendo. <v Speaker 2>You're never going to make money from it, no, for sure, <v Speaker 2>But now, but. <v Speaker 1>Now I can make the joke of like the shareholders <v Speaker 1>aren't happy with the switching increase. <v Speaker 2>I'm like, yeah, you're right, you know what. I'm not. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I'm not. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, we're happy. <v Speaker 2>No, I'm not. I own Nintendo. <v Speaker 1>That is actually really fun with all the time every <v Speaker 1>time I see that, like the shareholders aren't happy. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I never think about the fact that I am one <v Speaker 1>that I'm not happy. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, you're right, I am yeah, you know what. <v Speaker 1>I'm right, you're right. Yeah, all right, before we dive <v Speaker 1>into it, I guess I just have some other things <v Speaker 1>to talk. Pulled up articles here stealth twitted about the <v Speaker 1>price increase obviously goes into effect September first. We have time, <v Speaker 1>so you do have time if you want to. I <v Speaker 1>think that it's way shorter in Japan. I think there's <v Speaker 1>happens like this month a month or thing. But here <v Speaker 1>we have until September first, which is a decent amount <v Speaker 1>of time. Yeah, yeah, you're playing games that. Yeah, I <v Speaker 1>was thinking about it too. I wouldn't be surprised if <v Speaker 1>around September first they also dropped Zelderkrei or a Time <v Speaker 1>with the special Edition switch. <v Speaker 3>So so so me and we're talking about this earlier. <v Speaker 3>Where did the special edition switch come from? Nate the <v Speaker 3>hate there? I don't think there was one. <v Speaker 2>I think this is maybe. <v Speaker 1>I mean, maybe there was something I don't recall. I <v Speaker 1>think it just came from us talking about it. I <v Speaker 1>think we just want one, do you think that. I mean, <v Speaker 1>it's been a year in some change. I think where <v Speaker 1>it came from is we had a bonus episode we <v Speaker 1>were talking about what special editions will Nintendo do, and <v Speaker 1>we just talked about what would be the first one, <v Speaker 1>and as far as everything we know right now or <v Speaker 1>at least think we know of, Zelder seems like the <v Speaker 1>most obvious one because we talked about we haven't had <v Speaker 1>a gold switch, switch one or switch to, but it <v Speaker 1>would be I can see it happening where we get <v Speaker 1>the price increase, and then shortly after all, like in <v Speaker 1>the month, we get your Time remake with a gold <v Speaker 1>switch too, and then everyone's like, well, i'd pay five <v Speaker 1>hundred for that one, it'd be more than five I was, <v Speaker 1>I was telling the price the same prize. <v Speaker 3>Well, because if this is if the switch is going <v Speaker 3>up to five hundred, that's without a game. <v Speaker 2>But I thinking the bundle edition. I didn't say nothing <v Speaker 2>about a bundle. You know what that reminds me of. <v Speaker 2>I remember, I don't get it. You don't get a game. <v Speaker 1>No, yeah, especially in Switch is just you don't get <v Speaker 1>the game, because I. <v Speaker 3>Remember I've never bought one, but I know the three <v Speaker 3>ds you would game with the bundle that they're selling you. <v Speaker 1>I think, for like and I could be wrong, I <v Speaker 1>think for ninety percent you can got away from that. <v Speaker 1>I think for ninety percent of the specialation Switched ones <v Speaker 1>they didn't come with it because I got the O <v Speaker 1>led and it was the spoltoon and three version and <v Speaker 1>that didn't come. <v Speaker 2>With the game. <v Speaker 1>It came out before, and I was like, why not? <v Speaker 1>Same thing I think with like Pokemon, Scarleton Violet, it <v Speaker 1>was just the switch. I think there was a red <v Speaker 1>switch one that came with a carry case and maybe <v Speaker 1>like one of the Mario games, and that was probably <v Speaker 1>more you just. <v Speaker 2>Throw a coat in that. <v Speaker 1>What is good Nintendo well they did for Mario Kart technically, <v Speaker 1>I mean yeah, because they were getting back at the <v Speaker 1>price that's right one, and they're doing that thing that <v Speaker 1>we're you and they are doing a thing. <v Speaker 2>Well, so then they did. <v Speaker 3>Nintendo did do that, so they might do that with <v Speaker 3>Oker enough time Switch. <v Speaker 1>But if we're specifically talking about special edition consoles, the <v Speaker 1>track history is no, you get the specialition console and <v Speaker 1>then you have to buy the game set. Apparately, that's <v Speaker 1>only with Switch because three DS was not like that. <v Speaker 1>But I got you and you, Yeah, I do remember those. <v Speaker 1>Umm my computer. Let me see if I have that <v Speaker 1>bundle in here? Yeah, choose your bundle, it's in here. <v Speaker 1>Can I get a tissue? <v Speaker 2>Please? I'm still congested from being sick. It's Pat out there. <v Speaker 1>We don't see him. I don't see him. All right, <v Speaker 1>never mind, I'll suffer through. <v Speaker 2>That's going to do. Thank you. I appreciate you. My god, <v Speaker 2>RD you gotta cut now, Oh my god, thank you, <v Speaker 2>RED appreciate you. <v Speaker 1>THENTW I switched to Choose your Own Game Bundle launches <v Speaker 1>this summer. Choose your in Game Bundle includes Mario Cottworld. <v Speaker 1>So this is this is cool. This is five hundred. Yeah, yes, <v Speaker 1>this is awesome to see. <v Speaker 2>Talk about this for a second while I blow my nose. <v Speaker 2>So we got games. <v Speaker 3>We got stores selling you a Nintendo Switch to with <v Speaker 3>a free game of your choice, a downloadable code you <v Speaker 3>get between Mario Kart World, Don Kong Bonanza or Pokemon <v Speaker 3>Pa Copia. <v Speaker 2>Interesting. <v Speaker 3>If you're gonna buy this for five hundred dollars, either <v Speaker 3>get Mario Kart World or po Copia or I mean <v Speaker 3>I would choose. <v Speaker 1>Mario Kart World out of all of them. As are <v Speaker 1>our sound effects for the day. You good, Thank you nice. <v Speaker 1>You know this reminds me of thanks for meeting My <v Speaker 1>Mike joined that too. I appreciate that. <v Speaker 2>I hope it was. <v Speaker 1>I remember when they did this with the WU where <v Speaker 1>they would have I think it was the WIU I got. <v Speaker 1>It came with like a choice of like we Party <v Speaker 1>Piping four, I wore a Nintendo Land and like something else. <v Speaker 1>I talk about this something well, I talk about this <v Speaker 1>a lot, and know what I said, it like that <v Speaker 1>that was a deal that you could get in Europe <v Speaker 1>and Australia and I don't know if it was here, <v Speaker 1>and I've mentioned it a few times, but I think <v Speaker 1>one of the games, like Mario Kart, came with a <v Speaker 1>code in the box for you to redeem for a <v Speaker 1>list of games for multiple Yeah, it was like you <v Speaker 1>could get Pickman, you could get this game, you could <v Speaker 1>get Luigi something okay, And I think mine was just <v Speaker 1>like you have the choice to get one of them <v Speaker 1>when you. <v Speaker 2>Bought the WU. <v Speaker 3>Yes, yeah, I got like mine, I was a Nintendo <v Speaker 3>Land edition because the box came in Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, with mine was Mario Kart eight plus a freaking. <v Speaker 3>Oh so then you bought it later then Yeah, I <v Speaker 3>bought my two years later or something, twenty fourteen. <v Speaker 1>I think, yeah, well, yeah, this bundles five hundred and uh, <v Speaker 1>this is like a this is essentially the same thing <v Speaker 1>that's yeah when it came out. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and Pokemon Z yep. <v Speaker 1>And then I don't know if they've said, I assume <v Speaker 1>not what happens with this when the price goes up. <v Speaker 1>I assume this bundle will probably last until September. <v Speaker 2>First. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, they're probably just trying to push out as many <v Speaker 3>cells as possible right before. <v Speaker 1>They probably I mean again, I feel like Nintendo did <v Speaker 1>a lot. They said a lot, and they did a <v Speaker 1>lot leading up to and after this like price increase <v Speaker 1>to kind of be like, well, there's this though, so <v Speaker 1>this is one right, Like, yes, we're increasing the price <v Speaker 1>September first, but if you feel like you need to <v Speaker 1>go out and get one right now before that price increase, <v Speaker 1>you can get one with one of these games and <v Speaker 1>save yourself between twenty to thirty dollars. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, sure, so like that's something. <v Speaker 1>And then obviously leading up to this, they also drop <v Speaker 1>the price of digital games, which we're seeing reflected in <v Speaker 1>the physical market too, with Amazon and Walmart matching those prices, <v Speaker 1>giving and taking. And again, like the increase is also <v Speaker 1>we haven't talked about it yet, but it's not Nintendo's <v Speaker 1>fault that the price is increasing. It's it's the economy, <v Speaker 1>it's the world. It's it's you know, the rising price <v Speaker 1>more than anything. I mean, you can talk about tariffs, <v Speaker 1>you can talk about the rising gas prices and everything, <v Speaker 1>you know, everything that's happening with the wall graphics card. <v Speaker 1>The main thing is just the ramp. That's the main thing. <v Speaker 1>Is the AI situation dominating the world, dominating the Internet <v Speaker 1>and sucking up all the ram. We talked about it <v Speaker 1>in that episode, but something is RAM heavy as that <v Speaker 1>Lenovo Legion Go Too that has so much like ram <v Speaker 1>in it that the price went from fifteen hundred to <v Speaker 1>three thousand. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, doubled. It doubled because of the you know. <v Speaker 1>And then you see the PlayStation price that went up <v Speaker 1>like one hundred bucks, right, and it's consistently gone up. <v Speaker 1>So this jump is and I say this cautiously, it's <v Speaker 1>pretty modest. I say the word just but just fifty <v Speaker 1>dollars is pretty low comparatively to everyone else that's had <v Speaker 1>to do this. Yeah, so you know, and this is <v Speaker 1>like the first time Nintendo's ever done something like this. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I delivered an increase. <v Speaker 3>I mean with the three D as they decreased the <v Speaker 3>price of the console when it came out. <v Speaker 1>This is the first generation as gamers where the console <v Speaker 1>prices are increasing, not decreasing, since video games and consoles <v Speaker 1>have been around. And for majority of people probably watching this, <v Speaker 1>it's not going to matter to you because you probably <v Speaker 1>already own a switch to now. For the people who <v Speaker 1>don't though, because I've talked to a few people who <v Speaker 1>actually don't have it at the bundle, yeah, we'll get <v Speaker 1>the bumble, that's what And I get it, like, you know, <v Speaker 1>it's fifty dollars, which you know, in the grand scheme <v Speaker 1>of things, is not a lot compared to everything else. <v Speaker 1>But I do get it because some people, you know, <v Speaker 1>especially right now, money can be tight. <v Speaker 2>I get it. You want to make sure you're getting <v Speaker 2>your money's worth. <v Speaker 1>And even I think you even said people talk about <v Speaker 1>this part, but like for me, I mean, already having one, <v Speaker 1>I think it's it's been well worth it. But like <v Speaker 1>at this point, I still think it's even with a <v Speaker 1>fifty dollars increase, I think you should still buy it <v Speaker 1>either way. Yeah, I'm definitely going to get into that. <v Speaker 1>I just want to go through. There's more. There's so <v Speaker 1>much that happened around this. So this article is from <v Speaker 1>game Spot. Nintendo increase the switch to price to five hundred, <v Speaker 1>and it still isn't enough. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, well, yeah, it's unfortunate. Let me read that. <v Speaker 1>That means we're gonna get another price increase, probably in <v Speaker 1>the next couple of years. We may could, which is <v Speaker 1>why my original thumbnail had question marks on the price, <v Speaker 1>because it could actually go up. Even more so, the <v Speaker 1>change in hardware pricing was not due to any one <v Speaker 1>specific fact in Nintendo president Photocall was said in the <v Speaker 1>company's recent financial results presentation. Rather, the decision was made <v Speaker 1>in light of various changes in the recent market conditions, <v Speaker 1>which we believe will have a medium to long impact <v Speaker 1>to the global outlook of our dedicated video game platform business. Unfortunately, <v Speaker 1>the recent surgeon memory and other component prices, and changes <v Speaker 1>in the market environment, including trends in the foreign exchange market, <v Speaker 1>and the price of oil, which I just touched on. <v Speaker 1>All of that, I think I said gas, but I <v Speaker 1>meant oil are all the factors that we anticipate will <v Speaker 1>continue over the medium to long term. Like almost all <v Speaker 1>hardware and twenty and twenty six, Nintendo was facing a <v Speaker 1>perfect storm conditions that's forced its hand the ongoing shortage <v Speaker 1>of crucial components. The week again, the rising oil prices <v Speaker 1>FOOTACA will added the higher price may create an additional <v Speaker 1>barrier to entry, but Nintendo is confident that engaging fund <v Speaker 1>will help enhance the switch to's ownership value for customers. <v Speaker 1>While this is another quote. While uncertainties remain regarding future <v Speaker 1>trends and component prices, we recognize they could have an <v Speaker 1>impact not only this year, but the next year as <v Speaker 1>well as for what after that. We will make necessary <v Speaker 1>preparations to ensure that we can respond flexibly to any <v Speaker 1>situation that arises. So essentially what he's saying here is <v Speaker 1>this medium to long term, Like this is not short term. <v Speaker 1>This is medium to long term, and they're going to <v Speaker 1>keep being flexible and adjusting to any situation that arises. <v Speaker 2>He expects it to get worse, not better. <v Speaker 1>So a lot of this wordage is essentially saying that <v Speaker 1>this five hundred of price increase, it's something for now. <v Speaker 1>It's technically and I think also what this is saying <v Speaker 1>is technically it should on there. I'm trying to word <v Speaker 1>this carefully, but on their end to actually cover the <v Speaker 1>rising costs and especially the future proofit more should be higher. <v Speaker 1>Five hundred was like we have to raise it. We <v Speaker 1>can't go more than five hundred right now because there's <v Speaker 1>a risk and reward. I don't think is the word <v Speaker 1>I'm looking for here, But you do needing to put <v Speaker 1>it higher because technically you do. And then losing out <v Speaker 1>in sales because your price of entry is too high <v Speaker 1>is like you're diminishing returns. See, so five hundred is <v Speaker 1>we're lucky to get five hundred is essentially what we're <v Speaker 1>getting out of this because Nintendo doesn't feel confident enough <v Speaker 1>to make it any more expensive for that, which makes sense. Okay, <v Speaker 1>the situation we're in with the economy and everything is <v Speaker 1>just f It is, for lack of a better word, <v Speaker 1>it is f. <v Speaker 2>And we'll ever get better is the real question. It <v Speaker 2>doesn't seem like you. <v Speaker 1>For the AI stuff. For the AI stuff, there's that's <v Speaker 1>just running rampant, and I know a lot of people <v Speaker 1>don't like it. I mean, obviously I hate where it's <v Speaker 1>going and I hate how much RAM is being dedicated <v Speaker 1>to it. There's no control I feel like that anyone <v Speaker 1>can have over that other than the big AA companies <v Speaker 1>like getting shut down, which isn't going to happen. The <v Speaker 1>other stuff a lot of the other situations that's happening. <v Speaker 1>A lot of people voted for this, so you know <v Speaker 1>a lot of this stuff, especially for America, was detailed <v Speaker 1>and listed before the last election that this stuff was <v Speaker 1>going to happen. <v Speaker 2>So a lot of this is just where reaping. <v Speaker 3>Because there's no regulation with like these AI companies like <v Speaker 3>sucking up all this RAM. <v Speaker 2>And AI think is the main fact this would have happened. <v Speaker 2>No matter what exactly, this would have happened no matter <v Speaker 2>what because of Ai. <v Speaker 1>Unfortunately. Yeah, but when the two things come together, it's beautiful. <v Speaker 1>We get Ai Jesus Trump. <v Speaker 2>That's and it's like a perfect resorm and everything that <v Speaker 2>I love. God, Yeah, anyway with that one. <v Speaker 1>So that's where we're at with that. I honestly, I <v Speaker 1>think there's even more. We have a nintendant President explains <v Speaker 1>why they decided against a higher price. This could honestly <v Speaker 1>probably be paraphrasing even more, yeah. <v Speaker 2>Or pretty much the somewhat the same thing. <v Speaker 1>But we have we will work, We will prepare a <v Speaker 1>robust software lineup to enhance the switch to ownership value. <v Speaker 1>We will work diligently to overcome this barrier that's come <v Speaker 1>on the president. And then I don't know if I <v Speaker 1>have it pulled up. Yeah, there's the price is taking <v Speaker 1>a slump. I'm gonna go to my doc quickly because <v Speaker 1>there was another quote about increasing. <v Speaker 2>Video game production or something about video game production. Oh God, <v Speaker 2>I don't know if I have it in here. Actually, <v Speaker 2>essentially they said I think might have been photo colla. <v Speaker 1>I said that they still have a couple of big <v Speaker 1>surprises before the end of the year. <v Speaker 2>Okay, that's what you said kind of detail. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, he said he wants the company to build a <v Speaker 3>strong lineup of games that will make the switch to <v Speaker 3>feel worth buying despite the price increased costs, which I <v Speaker 3>think you just said. <v Speaker 1>So in a way, I also kind of have kind <v Speaker 1>of be careful how I wear this too, Like, in <v Speaker 1>a way, this is somewhat pushing Nintendo to realize, if <v Speaker 1>we want to have you know, our consoles sell, we <v Speaker 1>should probably start stepping up our game production even more <v Speaker 1>with some of the stuff that we could be getting <v Speaker 1>in the future. Yeah, this could be like, this could <v Speaker 1>be like maybe the case of like games that they're <v Speaker 1>waiting to put out, let's say for like year two <v Speaker 1>or year three, maybe they're thinking, like, well, we should <v Speaker 1>probably have him ready now. <v Speaker 2>In the event that let's say, of. <v Speaker 1>A switch to, you know, God forbid, that it could <v Speaker 1>be like six hundred bucks like next year, or even <v Speaker 1>like more like that. So I managed to find the <v Speaker 1>the core indirectly on a weird website called nine to <v Speaker 1>five Toys, which I don't know what that is. But <v Speaker 1>the president said that the company has a variety of <v Speaker 1>new titles for Switched To in the works, and more importantly, <v Speaker 1>in the near term new titles prepared for the second <v Speaker 1>half of its physical year. That was the quote I <v Speaker 1>was looking for. Okay, So I mean not that were not, <v Speaker 1>you know, surprised by that. But there's still some new <v Speaker 1>at least a couple of new things that we don't <v Speaker 1>know about yet that hasn't been leaked yet, that hasn't <v Speaker 1>been revealed yet, that they're cooking and they're working on. <v Speaker 1>And then obviously we do kind of know that one <v Speaker 1>of those could be the Operina a time yeah, and <v Speaker 1>that you know, because technically they haven't said that yet. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Or it could be our Carena a time in <v Speaker 2>something else. It could be a couple of new things. <v Speaker 1>But either way, Nintendo feels confident in their product, and <v Speaker 1>I honestly I feel confident in it too. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>So now we can get into that a little bit. <v Speaker 1>I think I think we've juiced a lot of these <v Speaker 1>articles and everything, so, uh, there's so many spaces to <v Speaker 1>come at it. I mean, obviously, I know that raising <v Speaker 1>the price to five hundred sucks, but because we know <v Speaker 1>we've been used to four to fifty for a long time, <v Speaker 1>and it shouldn't be five hundred like it should be <v Speaker 1>four fifty Yeah, it's unfortunate that it has to be. <v Speaker 1>But leading up to this thing releasing, I always thought <v Speaker 1>it was going to be five hundred, purely because of <v Speaker 1>how much it's doing and the value I think the <v Speaker 1>console has. Yeah, overall, there's a lot of things that <v Speaker 1>people say when comparing it. They say like, oh, the <v Speaker 1>steam decks cheaper, which like, how much cheaper is the <v Speaker 1>steam deck actually? <v Speaker 2>For one, we look it up. <v Speaker 1>My response to that is twofold. Usually it's than by <v Speaker 1>a steam deck is my first one? Yeah, right now <v Speaker 1>I've played with the steam dick. Yeah, I like the <v Speaker 1>steam decks just fine. <v Speaker 2>It's right about now it's five forty nine to six <v Speaker 2>forty nine. <v Speaker 1>Okay, what about like very low end for like an <v Speaker 1>LCD model, like the cheapest model you can get, which <v Speaker 1>I think are out of stock anyway, the absolute base <v Speaker 1>of the base model. <v Speaker 2>Forty yea, yeah, like three twenty to three ninety nine. <v Speaker 1>So that's the absolutely that's the first revision, before it <v Speaker 1>got o led, before it got better battery, before it <v Speaker 1>got a lot. <v Speaker 2>Of stuff, but basic you can get like that one. <v Speaker 1>I'll say about that, like that's going to the absolute <v Speaker 1>base model. The switch to clears that and its build <v Speaker 1>and its quality and its performance, and it's like like HDR, <v Speaker 1>it's one hundred and twenty hertz and it clears it. <v Speaker 1>From a technical standpoint, I think that everybody forgets. Even <v Speaker 1>when you compare other models to the steam Deck or <v Speaker 1>that model the steam Deck, the switch to has a <v Speaker 1>lot more going on that ships in the box. You <v Speaker 1>have the DOC which is a whole like accessory component <v Speaker 1>in itself that has hardware in it as well that <v Speaker 1>enhances your switch and gives it that four K and <v Speaker 1>gives it all of that. So you're not only getting <v Speaker 1>a switch, you're also getting that also has these two <v Speaker 1>removable joy cons right that Like, that's that's a whole <v Speaker 1>accessory and expensive component in itself, and then it has <v Speaker 1>like the whole magnet thing and the blue tooth and <v Speaker 1>everything baked into it. So you're getting like a lot <v Speaker 1>more of a console of a unit at the similar <v Speaker 1>price to the high end and cheaper than even the <v Speaker 1>most high end like steam Deck. Yeah, so I think <v Speaker 1>it's priced appropriately for the market, right. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I was surprised when it was, you know, revealed that <v Speaker 3>four fifty because I was like thinking if it was <v Speaker 3>three ninety nine, that would be like, Okay, this is I. <v Speaker 1>Feel like that. That would be a miracle price. <v Speaker 3>That's what I thought I was going to be because <v Speaker 3>like at first when they announced the switch to, I <v Speaker 3>was like, is it really going to be that significant <v Speaker 3>of an upgrade from my bull Blood switch? <v Speaker 2>And I think now we've seen that. It definitely we've. <v Speaker 3>Seen that, but it's not like rate now as of <v Speaker 3>like when Nintendo launch the switch to, there wasn't like <v Speaker 3>the games to back up the capability of what the consoles, <v Speaker 3>like cable we do. <v Speaker 1>We didn't have as good of an understanding. I mean, <v Speaker 1>we had the details on paper, yeah, but we didn't <v Speaker 1>really have as good of an understanding of what it <v Speaker 1>can do visual exactly. And now we've seen things like <v Speaker 1>Resident Will nine. Now it's like, okay, yeah, liter exactly. <v Speaker 1>And when you compare, like you know, Resident Evil nine, <v Speaker 1>you put the side by sides with PlayStation there are <v Speaker 1>sometimes you can get confused, right, yeah, And you look <v Speaker 1>at the size of a PlayStation five, you look at <v Speaker 1>the size of switch. <v Speaker 3>You did that with Progmata And I was so surprised <v Speaker 3>because sometimes in the switch to version it would look better. <v Speaker 2>In my opinion, I actually. <v Speaker 1>Do think that in some ways the switch to version <v Speaker 1>looked better because it had to remove some lighting, and <v Speaker 1>I actually preferred the way it looks without some of <v Speaker 1>that light. It was bizarre. Yeah, but you know, and <v Speaker 1>it's not even just the size. You have to think <v Speaker 1>about when you look at a PlayStation five and you <v Speaker 1>look at a switch to and then you think this <v Speaker 1>is doing what this is doing? The Switch two also <v Speaker 1>comes with an inbuilt screen. The Switch two also comes <v Speaker 1>with in built joy cons exactly, like there's more tech <v Speaker 1>in there that you're paying for. Yeah, and when people, <v Speaker 1>you know, wanted that to come out cheaper, they were like, <v Speaker 1>it should be three ninety nine, it should be blah <v Speaker 1>blah blah. That's when Nintendo would have to look at <v Speaker 1>the console and start stripping things out to meet that. <v Speaker 1>So like we don't get the one hundred and twenty <v Speaker 1>hurtz HDR screen or like that is a I know <v Speaker 1>it's LCD. <v Speaker 2>That is a very nice else. It's a very good one. <v Speaker 3>It's very upset when it was like because I'm like, <v Speaker 3>this is gonna be a downwat for my old switch. <v Speaker 3>But looking at it side by side, I'm like, this <v Speaker 3>is better looking than although be it it is LCDs. <v Speaker 1>I know on paper, it's like O lead's obviously better <v Speaker 1>than than LCD, like obviously on paper, But if you <v Speaker 1>take the worst, cheapest O l e D screen and <v Speaker 1>the most expensive high quality one hundred and twenty hertz <v Speaker 1>or whatever, two forty hurts even like the most quality <v Speaker 1>LCD screen, you're gonna prefer the LCD. <v Speaker 2>Screen because it's then the lower quality OLEAD. <v Speaker 1>And this is just a really nice quality LCD screen <v Speaker 1>that I think looks better than the switch to. <v Speaker 2>Are you switch? Switch one was low quality. <v Speaker 1>Nona step it from the first novel. I'm just saying <v Speaker 1>people are people didn't give the l c D it's uh, <v Speaker 1>it's flowers, yeah, because they just heard l c D <v Speaker 1>and they were like, oh that's when in reality, in reality, <v Speaker 1>if you if you play the switch to HDR on <v Speaker 1>Mario cut World looks better than anything I ever saw. <v Speaker 2>On the OLEAD. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, like miles better. Yeah, So I'm excited to see <v Speaker 1>what they're all. Let's switch two is going to look <v Speaker 1>like Oh if at this point, if the base models <v Speaker 1>is gonna be five hundred, that thing's probably. <v Speaker 2>Gonna be six. I'd pay six hundred for it. I <v Speaker 2>do think it's wild because like, so I tweeted out. <v Speaker 1>Let me see if I can find that tweet. Oh well, <v Speaker 1>uh it was. It was perfect timing for it. I <v Speaker 1>never know how to get to my profile. Oh here <v Speaker 1>it is, look on the profile. <v Speaker 2>Ye yeah. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. So I saw this tweet getting retweeted and it <v Speaker 1>was what's your most controversial switch to take? So I said, <v Speaker 1>it's still worth five hundred. <v Speaker 2>It is. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, like I'm ten tons down on that one. It <v Speaker 1>is like, I don't know what to tell you. I <v Speaker 1>do find it wild how much? <v Speaker 2>How many? And I don't know if I'm going to <v Speaker 2>find him in here? <v Speaker 1>But there were people saying like it's not even worth <v Speaker 1>three hundred, which is like, oh, yeah, you're you're you're <v Speaker 1>being silly. Yeah, like you're being a hater to be. <v Speaker 1>You're telling me you saw like like there's no show <v Speaker 1>three hundred. You're saying, like, Nash, if you strip out <v Speaker 1>the internals and you just want the joy cons and <v Speaker 1>the screen, you want to abild it yourself, maybe we <v Speaker 1>can do like two fifty three hundred for the parts, <v Speaker 1>and you can put your own TPU in there, you <v Speaker 1>put your own SSD in there. <v Speaker 2>You can figure it out only from the ground up, <v Speaker 2>like a PC. Yeah, that's that's pretty well to me actually. <v Speaker 1>But I mean if you know, if I don't know, <v Speaker 1>I go, so I sometimes have to be careful with <v Speaker 1>what I say because I don't know, like I don't <v Speaker 1>know what's like kosher here, But like four fifty to <v Speaker 1>five hundred, if that's your breaking point, like I could <v Speaker 1>definitely break four fifty. I definitely see it worth four fifty, <v Speaker 1>but five hundred is a no go for me, sir, <v Speaker 1>I'm going to miss out on this generation because of <v Speaker 1>that fifty. There are like ambos that cost fifty. <v Speaker 2>That is true. You buy like ten packs of Pokemon cards. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean in twenty twenty six, fifty dollars is <v Speaker 3>legitimately nothing. You can't even go out with your girl <v Speaker 3>and spend fifty dollars. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's like yeah one person. Yeah, I mean, this <v Speaker 2>does that. <v Speaker 1>This conversation goes into a weird avenue of like I <v Speaker 1>don't know people, I feel like people hate when I <v Speaker 1>get into this avenue. But you're right, fifty bucks does <v Speaker 1>not go far these days. It really doesn't go people <v Speaker 1>I talk to, especially like it's a moment where like <v Speaker 1>you have to realize. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, not everyone. I get. <v Speaker 1>I get it can is in the same spot and <v Speaker 1>is in the same like has this much money like <v Speaker 1>to spend on games and things like that. Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 1>I mean even outside of that, if you if you <v Speaker 1>want to keep it in the switch to ecosystem, right, <v Speaker 1>you want to buy a switch to Let's say you're <v Speaker 1>gonna want to buy some games, yeah right, yeah, by <v Speaker 1>buy one less game, like, don't buy stuff fucks, you know, <v Speaker 1>like it sucks. It sucks that you can't buy Stoff <v Speaker 1>fucks if you want it. But you can still get <v Speaker 1>Mario cop you can get Pacopia donkey like make the <v Speaker 1>sacrifice somewhere else in the ecosystem. Yeah, don't buy all <v Speaker 1>by the pro control user switch. Don't buy the camera. <v Speaker 1>The cameras fifty bucks. Yeah, use to switch one Joy <v Speaker 1>cons is what yeah, no, no, no, the pro controller for <v Speaker 1>the switch one. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I owned five of those, right, and then I was <v Speaker 3>shocked when I found out that they're compatible with the <v Speaker 3>switch too. So I was like going to invest buying <v Speaker 3>like a couple more pro controllers for the switch too, <v Speaker 3>and I was like thank god I didn't, Yeah, because <v Speaker 3>it saves me ninety bucks for control I. <v Speaker 1>Know that this this is tough because I know it <v Speaker 1>sounds like cope and it sounds like we're trying to <v Speaker 1>make the best out of a bad situation. But that's <v Speaker 1>what it is. <v Speaker 2>Bro. You should happy giving me a model your money. <v Speaker 2>What's wrong with you? I know, right? Yeah, we shills. <v Speaker 1>I I it's trying to where it's stuck here. We <v Speaker 1>have no choice, this is happening. Yeah, So it's trying <v Speaker 1>to find the best in a bad situation. If the <v Speaker 1>question is too given to me, Blanket, Is this console <v Speaker 1>worth five hundred dollars? <v Speaker 2>Yes? <v Speaker 1>I thought it was gonna be worth five hundred before <v Speaker 1>it came out. Four point fifty seemed like a really <v Speaker 1>good deal to me. Is it worth five hundred? Yes, <v Speaker 1>that's and I'm even talking about just for the hardware. <v Speaker 1>I'm literally just talking about. Is this thing that comes <v Speaker 1>with a doc that I just took it out of. <v Speaker 1>Is this hardware worth five hundred comparatively to everything else <v Speaker 1>on the marketplace and what it can do? <v Speaker 2>Yes? <v Speaker 1>And that's before we talk about it's five hundred dollars <v Speaker 1>to them play Mario Cuttwell and staff Fox when it <v Speaker 1>comes out, and the news Elder and everything else that <v Speaker 1>goes into that. <v Speaker 3>Objectively, yes, it is worth five hundred dollars, Like that's <v Speaker 3>an argument you can make. But I think most people <v Speaker 3>when they purchase like a brand new console or a <v Speaker 3>phone or any electronics that's going to cost them money, <v Speaker 3>it's like they're looking at it from a subjective perspective. <v Speaker 2>Well, if I have a switch. <v Speaker 3>O LED and I have all these games on it, <v Speaker 3>do I need the switch to ye, less I'm gonna buy. <v Speaker 1>That's a personal question, you know, that's a personal question, <v Speaker 1>and that's that that. <v Speaker 2>Has nothing to do with this, that has something to <v Speaker 2>do with your finance. <v Speaker 1>That's what I'm saying. It makes sense, like for what <v Speaker 1>it's worth, and I agree with it, like, yes, this <v Speaker 1>is priced people out. Yes, this now will not make <v Speaker 1>sense for some people. But if you're asking me objectively, <v Speaker 1>is it still worth it? The answer is still yes, <v Speaker 1>which is why when people comment like no, it's not <v Speaker 1>because I already have a switch one. <v Speaker 2>Okay, there you go. Then that's your answer, Like that <v Speaker 2>doesn't make sense. <v Speaker 1>Play Mario Kart when it's ass y Mario. If you <v Speaker 1>don't like Zelda, if you don't like Staff, it's gonna. <v Speaker 2>Be worth it to you No. <v Speaker 1>I always tell people like if at least even before <v Speaker 1>the price, like like if there is a game that <v Speaker 1>you really want and it's a Switch too exclusive, then <v Speaker 1>there you go. But you do not need it, especially <v Speaker 1>if you have all this Switch one library, if you <v Speaker 1>have the entirety of like games that are still going <v Speaker 1>like Splotoon three is to switch one game that still <v Speaker 1>has plenty of a player base Mario Kart even like <v Speaker 1>Smash Smashes like the game right now or there's always <v Speaker 1>been the game on Switch, but like, yeah, we are <v Speaker 1>going to get to a point where, like you are <v Speaker 1>going to start seeing some of these new releases just <v Speaker 1>be switched to exclusives. At that point, you have to <v Speaker 1>ask yourself, well, okay, do I really yeah, because they're <v Speaker 1>not going to stop making Switch one games of course <v Speaker 1>until they do. <v Speaker 2>Until they do. <v Speaker 1>But like there was literally it was said here that <v Speaker 1>I believe it is important we consider how to expand <v Speaker 1>the entire software is including titles for both Nintendo Switch <v Speaker 1>and Intendo Switch. <v Speaker 3>To quoted by for the So it's like, if you <v Speaker 3>have a Switch today, don't worry. You're still gonna get games, <v Speaker 3>but you're not gonna get the Triple A games. You're <v Speaker 3>not gonna play New Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Yeah, when those <v Speaker 3>come out, exclude Kirby. <v Speaker 2>You're not gonna. <v Speaker 3>So it's like you gotta Yeah, it's like you have <v Speaker 3>to be able to make that decision. Is it worth <v Speaker 3>it for these new games to play those titles or not. <v Speaker 3>We're not trying to sell you guys on buy and <v Speaker 3>switch too is by the way. Now, I don't want <v Speaker 3>people thinking like, oh, we're glazy. You don't have to <v Speaker 3>buy anything. I will say, if you're watching this podcast, <v Speaker 3>you're probably interested. Yeah, you probably want one if you <v Speaker 3>don't have one. So I think some of that too <v Speaker 3>goes into this article I can pivot into because I <v Speaker 3>think when a lot of people look at the two cars, <v Speaker 3>look at the switch, and then they compare it to <v Speaker 3>their PC or their PlayStation or whatever, I think when <v Speaker 3>they think of value, they are just thinking of the graphics. <v Speaker 1>Look was like, that's it. That's the truth, Like, that's it. <v Speaker 1>You know, they're not thinking about again, Like I said <v Speaker 1>that it has a built in screen, that it's a handheld, <v Speaker 1>the mouse controls, you know, mouse controls all that any <v Speaker 1>more mouse, that it comes with detachable joy cones or <v Speaker 1>that it has this library of impressive games, or that <v Speaker 1>it does run a lot of these games. <v Speaker 2>They just do look a little What. <v Speaker 3>If at one point you could use your internet browser <v Speaker 3>with the mouse controls, that would be sick. You could <v Speaker 3>log in, yeah, I just the DS. You could use <v Speaker 3>the internet browser with the style of the style. <v Speaker 1>But a lot of people just look at value as <v Speaker 1>like what and it do graphically graphics? And I think <v Speaker 1>the interesting conversation to have there can spin off of <v Speaker 1>this because Buyershock creator says the switch to proves gaming <v Speaker 1>graphics are hitting diminishing returns, which I think is true <v Speaker 1>to an extent, because there will always be people that <v Speaker 1>the thing they love about video games is how it looks. <v Speaker 2>It'll look yeah, and like how good. <v Speaker 1>How my passion is pushing my fifty ninety TI as <v Speaker 1>far as it can go and making a game look incredible, <v Speaker 1>And that's that's valid. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's that's what you enjoy. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, But those games in the grand scheme of things <v Speaker 1>have diminishing returns if they're they're cool to price point <v Speaker 1>is how good the game looks. Yeah, And at this point, <v Speaker 1>like a lot of games that have been coming out recently, <v Speaker 1>they all start to look the same, like even like <v Speaker 1>I know it's kind of like a cliche example, but <v Speaker 1>I look at like, Okay, I look at like two K, <v Speaker 1>I look at Madden like I s like the games that. <v Speaker 2>They are diminishing returns every year. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, and you know it's because it's it is just <v Speaker 1>the same game and they try to definitely enhanced it. <v Speaker 1>But even with some of the newer games that have <v Speaker 1>been coming out too, like you there, it's only so <v Speaker 1>further you can go. <v Speaker 2>Until ww's looking pretty realistically. True, those games you look sick. <v Speaker 2>Even on the switch too, they look really good. <v Speaker 1>That's true, but like there's only a certain point you <v Speaker 1>can go before, like you have to take a huge leap, <v Speaker 1>and I feel like the closest game that can do <v Speaker 1>that is GDA six. <v Speaker 2>But but GDA six will actually be a fun game exactly. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>That so that and like that's like I feel like <v Speaker 1>that could be the leaping point for where could you <v Speaker 1>go next graphically for a game, because you can only <v Speaker 1>make it look so realistic until you're basically just you're <v Speaker 1>putting too much in the graphics of that point and <v Speaker 1>not the gameplay. <v Speaker 2>So true, King, thank you for sure. <v Speaker 1>So this article says realism doesn't age as well as <v Speaker 1>more stylistic things. BioShock still looks good, I think because <v Speaker 1>it wasn't trying to get every not in bolt super realistic. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>that game, I wouldn't say cel shaded, but it was <v Speaker 1>more cartoony if you remember. BioShock, and then Infinite specifically <v Speaker 1>had a very like brightened, vibrant art style. He also <v Speaker 1>pointed at the popularity the grund popularity of more affordable <v Speaker 1>and less technically ambitious hardware such as switch To and <v Speaker 1>vows upcoming Steam focused devices, saying the industry may already <v Speaker 1>have reached a level where additional graphical leaps are no <v Speaker 1>longer essential. Look at say the switch Too and even <v Speaker 1>the new Steam machine coming out. Those are not massive <v Speaker 1>technological upgrades. That wasn't their strategy. I think people are <v Speaker 1>realizing we're hitting a bit of diminishing returns with that. <v Speaker 1>And it's true both of those systems are kind of <v Speaker 1>just aiming at giving players more ways to engage and <v Speaker 1>play with video games, and obviously portably is a big one. <v Speaker 1>You don't need to be on the cutting edge technology <v Speaker 1>all the time. Even the stuff we're doing in Judas, <v Speaker 1>which I guess is this company is all narrative stuff <v Speaker 1>we're doing. It's not CPU intensive, it's work intensive on <v Speaker 1>our side. And I think this is something that Nintendo <v Speaker 1>has known for a long time. Yeah, Like that's why <v Speaker 1>a lot of their games are cartoony and stylistic and <v Speaker 1>cell shaded, and they have this longevity and they can <v Speaker 1>look back at their career of video games other than <v Speaker 1>on sixty four of COSE. They tried their best, and <v Speaker 1>they can see that their games hold up. Games like <v Speaker 1>wind Wakers still holds up today. A lot of their <v Speaker 1>games still hold up, which is why Nintendo's consoles have <v Speaker 1>never needed to be cutting edge. Like the value in <v Speaker 1>Nintendo's consoles has never been we can outperform the other consoles, <v Speaker 1>you know, and that's not something that like sells like <v Speaker 1>it used to. I mean Xbox Series X for example, <v Speaker 1>and like Xbox in general, it's big seller. A lot <v Speaker 1>is like playing with Power, It's like we're the best <v Speaker 1>looking console. It's like yeah, but nobody really cares because <v Speaker 1>it's not fun to play on the console. Microsoftware the <v Speaker 1>console wars between them, like yeah, you can perform the other. <v Speaker 1>When it comes to it became very much about that <v Speaker 1>and PlayStation ended up winning because not only could it <v Speaker 1>compete and in many ways look as good, if not <v Speaker 1>better at times, but it had games, It had fun <v Speaker 1>exclusives and fun experiences, so it out won the battle <v Speaker 1>because end of the day, that's all that really matters, <v Speaker 1>and that's what Nintendo does in droves. That's the value <v Speaker 1>that Nintendo brings out a company. And with the console, <v Speaker 1>it's the games, it's the platform, it's the experience, it's <v Speaker 1>playing anything anywhere anyhow. <v Speaker 3>Well, it's because Nintendo is so unique when it comes <v Speaker 3>to like they create their own games and then they <v Speaker 3>don't like, uh, let they'd be like cross compatibility between <v Speaker 3>other consoles, you know. So it's just like there is <v Speaker 3>to play their games on their consoles, and everything is <v Speaker 3>like you said, like the graphics are not so graphically <v Speaker 3>intense that they need insane hardware. So they do have <v Speaker 3>that edge when it comes to the uniqueness of like <v Speaker 3>all of their first party titles. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yes for sure. And also the switch to is <v Speaker 2>way more powerful and a lot of people realize realistic <v Speaker 2>like no, Zelda does not need to be hyper realistic <v Speaker 2>if they make ot remake like they did Star Fucks, <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna be pissed playing through Resident Evil nine and Pragmata. <v Speaker 1>I knew I wasn't getting the best looking like version <v Speaker 1>of those games, but they looked great, and they looked <v Speaker 1>more than good enough for me to enjoy the actual <v Speaker 1>fun game at its core. And if the only thing <v Speaker 1>giving those games value was how good it looked, I <v Speaker 1>wouldn't play it anyway because it wouldn't be fun. <v Speaker 2>It wouldn't hook me. <v Speaker 1>I'll be loaded up and be like, oh that's pretty <v Speaker 1>and then get bored. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, so I think that's good conversation. I mean, right, yeah, <v Speaker 2>I mean. <v Speaker 3>So you're happy about the price, Well, so I wish <v Speaker 3>it was more raised the price wasn't that? <v Speaker 1>Wasn't that like the hashtag whatever that people were saying. <v Speaker 1>I mean, yeah, I think we can all roll in Unison, sorry, <v Speaker 1>all in agreement with the idea that the console is <v Speaker 1>worth it. <v Speaker 2>Well, speak for yourself, buddy, I never said that. Oh <v Speaker 2>you don't think it is? What do you think? You <v Speaker 2>can't have a different opinion? <v Speaker 3>No, I know, but you know I don't want to <v Speaker 3>have a different opinion if it means getting cooked. <v Speaker 2>Oh oh, I see it's going to be serious. <v Speaker 3>I do agree that the switch because at first I <v Speaker 3>was resistant to the idea of it being even four fifty. <v Speaker 3>But then when you told me that Nintendo's losing on <v Speaker 3>each one of their consoles, and then I did my <v Speaker 3>research and I saw that they actually are in fact <v Speaker 3>losing money with every single switch they're. <v Speaker 1>Making well that they're not losing money, but the bracket <v Speaker 1>is pretty well in some situation. <v Speaker 3>It was like in like Japan, they went yeah, like <v Speaker 3>in countries, so it's like it wasn't the same universal. <v Speaker 3>So it's just like they're really trying to keep the <v Speaker 3>you know, like a breaking point where they're not bleeding <v Speaker 3>so much and they're not necessarily profiting off yet. So <v Speaker 3>when I saw that, I was like, Okay, I'm actually <v Speaker 3>more empathetic about the price of the switch to not <v Speaker 3>that I'm like happy selling out four fifty five hundred, <v Speaker 3>but it makes more sense. <v Speaker 2>It's not like, oh, they're greedy and they're just money hungry. <v Speaker 3>You're trying to squeeze out as much money out of <v Speaker 3>us because they know where there's this emotional attachment with <v Speaker 3>like their games and whatnot. <v Speaker 1>Like you have to yeah, I mean in general to me, <v Speaker 1>like dropping five hundred and anything is also kind of <v Speaker 1>like a questionable thing to do every now and then. <v Speaker 1>But yeah, buying it once for the next decade, yeah, <v Speaker 1>exact pretty much. <v Speaker 2>So like it's you said too, it's an investment, but <v Speaker 2>like it's a game console that already has so much <v Speaker 2>going for it. Yeah, and it's just every game that <v Speaker 2>comes out as just a bonus. <v Speaker 1>Not to mention. Again, like depending on your situation. If <v Speaker 1>you don't even have a Switch one, you're buying into <v Speaker 1>a library of fifteen thousand games. <v Speaker 2>That's literally which is pretty insane. <v Speaker 1>And they just did that patch where all those games <v Speaker 1>look better on Switch to Next. <v Speaker 2>So you could see exactly. And it's like, think about it. <v Speaker 3>You're buying a console once every seven eight years, when <v Speaker 3>a Nintendo console is unless you're getting like different versions. <v Speaker 1>You're buying a phone once every three to four years. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>and you're paying double the price. People spend fifteen hundred <v Speaker 1>on the phone. A lot of the same people that <v Speaker 1>will complain I. <v Speaker 3>Bought the iPhone and it does the same thing as <v Speaker 3>the sixteenth pro or. <v Speaker 1>Again, like and and again, I don't want to go <v Speaker 1>down the avenue, but the same people, like we all <v Speaker 1>make bad choices sometimes we buy like an ambo that <v Speaker 1>we think looks good for forty. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I stopped that a long time ago. I've slowed <v Speaker 3>down on it. For me, are sitting in a box <v Speaker 3>in my attic. I I don't want to have every me, <v Speaker 3>but I think that's. <v Speaker 1>Sell you could. Yeah there's a Yeah, there's a game <v Speaker 1>store next to me. <v Speaker 2>It does. <v Speaker 1>I not that it matters, but I do wish I <v Speaker 1>could convince more people that this console is is wor <v Speaker 1>it was worth for fifty like that was one. I <v Speaker 1>made a lot of videos about it, but just you know, <v Speaker 1>the like every element to it is more improved over <v Speaker 1>a Switch one, like like and I mean like the shell, <v Speaker 1>the buttons, like the screen, the sounds, the size, the size, <v Speaker 1>I mean the bigger screen. Everything about it is bigger <v Speaker 1>and better. So if the Switch one is three hundred, <v Speaker 1>you're already need to push it up. And then you <v Speaker 1>have the internals and like this like thing they're doing <v Speaker 1>with the AI up scaling and all the tech that <v Speaker 1>goes into that that are pushing these games so that <v Speaker 1>we can get these really cool experiences and be competitive. <v Speaker 1>I mean, like Switch one was great, it was cheap, <v Speaker 1>it was affordable. But if you go back and play <v Speaker 1>that now one you can kind of feel that the <v Speaker 1>system does feel cheaper. It doesn't feel like it's quality <v Speaker 1>of a build, and it really struggled to keep up. <v Speaker 1>Like it's sweet spot was Xbox three sixty and like <v Speaker 1>we dealt with that for eight years, even into the <v Speaker 1>PlayStation five era, right, and then with this new one, <v Speaker 1>we were kind of hoping that it could do PlayStation <v Speaker 1>four really well, and it's already giving us brand new <v Speaker 1>PlayStation five games and like it's that's crazy. It's so crazy, <v Speaker 1>Like everything about it is so much better, So like, <v Speaker 1>what is it going to be the same price as <v Speaker 1>the switch? One? That doesn't even make sense. <v Speaker 2>It's true. <v Speaker 3>The build quality is something that I noticed, like every <v Speaker 3>time I pick up my old switch, or especially my <v Speaker 3>wife's regular switch, it literally feels like a piece of <v Speaker 3>plastic toy. Like it's so flimsy and fragile. I'm like, bro, <v Speaker 3>there's no way I was like comfortably like throwing this on. <v Speaker 1>It's such a I talk about this sometimes, but there's <v Speaker 1>a weird like especially with Nintendo effect, where like when <v Speaker 1>you have the thing, it's the coolest thing. <v Speaker 2>It feels so new and it's so fun and fresh. <v Speaker 1>As soon as you get the next thing, you look <v Speaker 1>back and you're like, oh, oh my god. What One <v Speaker 1>of the biggest leaps was the DS that was like concave, <v Speaker 1>which I think it's like the first Yeah, would always <v Speaker 1>be silver like and it was like weirdly box and <v Speaker 1>then you get that new nice like slim and you <v Speaker 1>look back and you're like, what the hell? It happens <v Speaker 1>every time? Every time? Ah right, so let's do a poll. <v Speaker 1>We should do so you're actually plugging my computer again? <v Speaker 1>Oh okay, can I or I can? Can? <v Speaker 2>The host of the show? I can? I could. I <v Speaker 2>didn't want to forget. <v Speaker 1>From man, you really are in narcissis set here. <v Speaker 2>I'll do the pool, I could do it. <v Speaker 1>The poll. <v Speaker 2>The pole I was gonna do. <v Speaker 1>Is uh huh. What's the poll is? Is the switch <v Speaker 1>to worth five hundred? Let's just keep it simple, yes, <v Speaker 1>yes or no? This isn't like, do you prefer it <v Speaker 1>to be four fifty, because obviously yes, nobody wants to <v Speaker 1>prefer it to be four to fifty. We'd all prefer <v Speaker 1>to walk into some random flea market and find one <v Speaker 1>for two hundred. And they were wrong, and they thought <v Speaker 1>it was a switch one or something, but of course <v Speaker 1>I'd rather it be less. You think Ali Baba's selling <v Speaker 1>a switch maybe switch twos? Maybe, but be honest, is <v Speaker 1>it worth five hundred? And we might be in a <v Speaker 1>little bit Brenton was like yep. The Red was like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>we might be in a little bit of an echo <v Speaker 1>chamber here. I mean, we're all friends and fans of Nintendo. <v Speaker 1>So but I don't feel like somebody said they paid <v Speaker 1>six hundre for it, yo, tier reader, are you Canadian? <v Speaker 2>No? It's six on USD. A lot of people do. <v Speaker 1>And I want to say this, and I feel like <v Speaker 1>I shouldn't have to say this, so I forget to <v Speaker 1>say it a lot. But often when I do this, <v Speaker 1>I'll get comments and they'll be like, yeah, well in <v Speaker 1>Canada it's six hundred, seven hundred. I'm like, yeah, but <v Speaker 1>that's Canadians the same, right, it's the same. Yeah, you <v Speaker 1>get that six hundred here, it's going to be five <v Speaker 1>dollars in Australia is probably like nine hundred or something. <v Speaker 1>But like that, it is almost always the exact exchange rate, <v Speaker 1>literally almost always. And they do that for many reasons, <v Speaker 1>but one of them is so that people in those <v Speaker 1>countries or wherever it's like more expensive, can't buy it <v Speaker 1>and import it or scalp it, or we can't scalp <v Speaker 1>it there. <v Speaker 2>It has to be the same price. It's always the <v Speaker 2>same price. <v Speaker 1>So it's just you know, if it's more or less <v Speaker 1>for you because your economy is better or worse. I mean, <v Speaker 1>Nintendo and I can't really help you with that. <v Speaker 3>So far, we're eighty to eighteen people saying no, that <v Speaker 3>it's not worth No, No. <v Speaker 1>I can see it's eighty two percent with two hundred votes. <v Speaker 1>It's eighty twenty, which I think that's pretty indicative. <v Speaker 2>You've got a thousand people here, Guys vote up. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you can vote up. But I think that's pretty indicative. <v Speaker 1>I think I think people are on board. I think like, <v Speaker 1>especially if you have the system, especially if you had <v Speaker 1>it for the last year, if you werely like there <v Speaker 1>is an opposite thing of buyers remorse right where you've <v Speaker 1>had you've had it for a year and you're like, oh, yeah, <v Speaker 1>I got way more fun out of this, and I <v Speaker 1>expected I was happy to pay four fifty. Now that <v Speaker 1>I know how much fun I have and how much <v Speaker 1>how good Pickolpi, I can't imagine not having played it, <v Speaker 1>bro I would. <v Speaker 3>Go back and spend five I literally sometimes like talk <v Speaker 3>to some of my friends who haven't about the switch to, <v Speaker 3>and then in my heart I feel pity for them. <v Speaker 2>Experienced. Oh yeah, I feel that a little bit. Sometimes. <v Speaker 3>You know, it's like, dude, not now, It's true. It's <v Speaker 3>like you get the opposite of buyer's remorse with it. <v Speaker 1>I have to be careful not to be like, let's <v Speaker 1>make a face when someone's when I'm talking like a <v Speaker 1>friend and they're like, I don't have a switch to <v Speaker 1>because it's my whole thing. So I'm like, oh really, <v Speaker 1>then I don't know what to talk to you about. <v Speaker 1>I don't know where we are. Yeah, poll is pretty <v Speaker 1>much an eighty percent yeah worth it. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I appreciate that, everybody, all right. <v Speaker 1>I think we broke that down well and truly I <v Speaker 1>think that for this episode I will be called a <v Speaker 1>shill this one. <v Speaker 2>The last one I was a grifter with the stuff. Fucks. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>because I've stayed on should we be grifters today or shills? Guys? <v Speaker 2>What do you never know? <v Speaker 3>You really don't with the podcast although or should we <v Speaker 3>be fence sitters and not having an opinion. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're like, well, just over your wallet? Actually, can <v Speaker 1>I want to do something funny. <v Speaker 2>Honestly? <v Speaker 1>Oh now my computer turns back on, so this is <v Speaker 1>going to take a few minutes. But I thought it <v Speaker 1>was funny. So I've I've done something here. Oh so, <v Speaker 1>last week on the podcast, we talked about stuff foks. Right, <v Speaker 1>we did, And I will say that most of the <v Speaker 1>comment all of the comments were about, to put it nicely, <v Speaker 1>how wrong I am. <v Speaker 2>A week I didn't even read the comments they were. <v Speaker 1>They were essentially all saying I really like the design, <v Speaker 1>and they would have one hundred likes like I really <v Speaker 1>liked it. And most of them were just objectively like <v Speaker 1>I actually like it, which is great. <v Speaker 2>I want that. That's healthy conversation. <v Speaker 1>But there was a lot of Woods just a hater <v Speaker 1>Wood sucks Woods, just crapping on this thing, like Woods <v Speaker 1>bringing hater energy, would hate staff fox Wood was ready to. <v Speaker 1>So what I've done here is I actually edited up <v Speaker 1>last night a three minute, edited down version of my <v Speaker 1>thoughts on stuff foxs from last week. <v Speaker 2>Oh really, so you've conceded now you like it? <v Speaker 1>I am just letting you know from last week I've <v Speaker 1>edited down my thoughts, and I tried to touch on <v Speaker 1>every element, the redesigns, the graphics of the game, the <v Speaker 1>gameplay of the game, the price, everything into three minutes, <v Speaker 1>and we're gonna see. <v Speaker 2>Would the hater talk about staff? <v Speaker 1>Fucks, let's see it. This is for you guys, all right, <v Speaker 1>so we can take a look at it. Here. It <v Speaker 1>came out of nowhere. <v Speaker 2>I don't know why. It sounds like that. Know, the <v Speaker 2>audio got blown out. <v Speaker 1>It's very cinematic Star Wars very I was hyped. <v Speaker 2>I was exciting wings. It definitely was exciting I have <v Speaker 2>I saw this. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, well yeah, yeah, I'm still not a fan bro thing. <v Speaker 1>I'll be the only hater, like an objectional it's a <v Speaker 1>modern box. I mean it's odd, right and like somebody <v Speaker 1>made it so clearly someone likes it, so it makes <v Speaker 1>sense that they're going to be people that do like it. Okay, <v Speaker 1>So that's what I said about the redesign, right, I <v Speaker 1>don't know hater thoughts, that's just their initial thoughts. Right, <v Speaker 1>you probably said more living. <v Speaker 2>My first reaction was gorgeous looking game. I love the visuals. <v Speaker 2>Looks obviously way. <v Speaker 1>Better than the water version, which would be a surprised <v Speaker 1>but y gorgeous. I do like you know, the designs, <v Speaker 1>so I said it look gorgeous. Design Society said fantastic. <v Speaker 1>It's very high quality. This battle mode, which is cool. <v Speaker 1>That's actually si. I like that. <v Speaker 2>Very positive. <v Speaker 1>Added mouse which looks like this goes, this goes first person. <v Speaker 1>That's cool in the Yeah, that's it. That's I like <v Speaker 1>that actually surreal effect, you know what. I think I <v Speaker 1>would actually prefer playing the campaign, like I'm excited to <v Speaker 1>play the. <v Speaker 2>Game actually really cool, as I thought that was cool. <v Speaker 1>One of the big things I keep complaining about is <v Speaker 1>the camera and the lack of like cameras. This is <v Speaker 1>a really cool innovative. I love it. <v Speaker 2>I love love it. I love it. <v Speaker 1>That's awesome. That's a really cool feature. <v Speaker 2>So this is good. I think that's good. <v Speaker 1>But I still thought they were going to charge more <v Speaker 1>just because of how refreshed it looks with these I <v Speaker 1>thought it looked so good it would be yeah, yeah, oh, <v Speaker 1>I didn't mean to pause it like like a quick, <v Speaker 1>there's a minute left. I think, sorry, I'm not realizing <v Speaker 1>there's not much hate here. I'm sure it comes yeah, yeah. <v Speaker 2>I mean right. <v Speaker 1>I thought we'd still be up in the sixty or <v Speaker 1>seventy range. So I think this is a good price. <v Speaker 1>I think it's actually a surprising price and a great price. <v Speaker 1>My favorite will be this new one. Oh, I can tell, <v Speaker 1>just based off Wait, No, I'm sure. <v Speaker 2>I'm sure that hate's coming again because here I said <v Speaker 2>that this new stuff Fox will be my favorite one. <v Speaker 1>Okay, not the hate has to be after this. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I already alone to make it. Yes, baseline, even though <v Speaker 1>I don't like the game necessarily or the unrail shooter element, <v Speaker 1>it looks gorgeous. I'm sure it's gonna have a lot <v Speaker 1>of updated features, and hey, maybe it'll be the best <v Speaker 1>Unrail shooter I've ever played, and I'll be I'll be <v Speaker 1>awakened to it and like, is this me talking? <v Speaker 2>Hmmm? <v Speaker 1>Sometimes I think that I'm being a hater because I <v Speaker 1>don't like every release or some don't really Well, how <v Speaker 1>am I already addressing the comments? That's it's like you knew? <v Speaker 1>Wait was this from this week or last week? I <v Speaker 1>think it was last week. <v Speaker 2>You're a time traveler. <v Speaker 1>I don't have to like it all, you know, I don't. <v Speaker 1>There's enough to love something. <v Speaker 2>Some things are okay, some things I don't like it's <v Speaker 2>just there's so much like I'm just gonna gobble it <v Speaker 2>all up like a hungry Disney adult. You know, I <v Speaker 2>don't know. It kind of sounds like the adults might <v Speaker 2>not like that one. <v Speaker 1>No, that's true, and I'm not mad that like like <v Speaker 1>stuff folks like I don't like. <v Speaker 2>It's not for me. <v Speaker 1>I'm not mad about it. Well three minutes so like <v Speaker 1>what did the comments were really like roasting you? <v Speaker 2>Huh? <v Speaker 1>A lot that was saying that I was being a hater, <v Speaker 1>And it's like, we're gonna talk about it in the <v Speaker 1>patron episode today. But sometimes I'm like, where do these <v Speaker 1>narratives come from? Like what did you watch? Or even <v Speaker 1>the bigger question, did you even watch it at all? <v Speaker 1>That's what I And sometimes I'm like, is it the <v Speaker 1>thumbnail and title, because like the title was like the <v Speaker 1>situation's a mess. But I was obviously talking about this <v Speaker 1>blow up reaction online and I put all the comments in, <v Speaker 1>so I didn't think it the game looked like a mess. <v Speaker 1>One thing I said, I don't like the character, which <v Speaker 1>is I pretty universally agreed upon thing I think. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and if all the comments imagine if you I <v Speaker 3>bet you you said you like the characters, bro, the characters. <v Speaker 1>Are if we had If we had loved the characters, <v Speaker 1>all the comments would be like, I just wish the <v Speaker 1>eyes were bigger. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, this looks too, I just don't like the feet. <v Speaker 1>I think I made some weird artistic twice. <v Speaker 2>Anyway, I was blown away reading the comments, and I <v Speaker 2>was like I said, I was excited. Yeah, but it <v Speaker 2>I thought, I don't know. <v Speaker 1>All right, we I wanted to do a shorter episode, <v Speaker 1>but we can go for an hour and a half. <v Speaker 2>We got like ten minutes left. There, you go, what <v Speaker 2>do you want to talk about? Someone tried to. <v Speaker 1>Oh, yeah I did see that. We do have a <v Speaker 1>game too? Later, yeah, oh we have a game. <v Speaker 2>Yeah? Pulled that article though. No, I don't know if <v Speaker 2>I even want to talk. Okay, probably not. <v Speaker 1>Someone was threatening the Nintendo headquarters. Oh really did you <v Speaker 1>see that? No, with a with a B threat. <v Speaker 2>With a B threat? <v Speaker 1>Yeah a B oh, and say, oh I don't want <v Speaker 1>I don't want to tool. But we rested because they <v Speaker 1>weren't happy. It was a stoff folks, remake no, no <v Speaker 1>what it has? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, imagine, bro, remember when that guy pulled up to <v Speaker 3>YouTube and tried to you know. <v Speaker 2>I think I do. What year was that? <v Speaker 1>Is that in New York? <v Speaker 2>No, it was in California. <v Speaker 3>And then yeah, you do something crazy because YouTube apparently <v Speaker 3>stopped recommending their videos. <v Speaker 2>That's okay, that would do it for me. Yeah, that's <v Speaker 2>a bit extreme. We I don't want to end up <v Speaker 2>a negative neard something positive. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. I was gonna talk about Metro Prime sales, but <v Speaker 1>that's just kind of sad. That's kind of sad, isn't <v Speaker 1>it really? What are the what are the numbers looking like? <v Speaker 1>Is they're not they have not passed a million yet. <v Speaker 2>Oh, let's just do your game. Yeah, this nets to be. <v Speaker 3>Happy alrighty forever man. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, someone said watching Wood, watching Wood nice? And then <v Speaker 2>next week you got to react to that clip of you. <v Speaker 2>Oh I might when they come and then it's like <v Speaker 2>we just do that every week and then have like <v Speaker 2>at one point. <v Speaker 1>We'll have to get Brenton to put a camera on <v Speaker 1>the other side. <v Speaker 2>We can watch the reaction. All right, we'll do that <v Speaker 2>next week. <v Speaker 1>Sometimes I'll see streamers do that, well, they're reacting to <v Speaker 1>a clip of someone reacting to them reacting to a clip. <v Speaker 2>And I'm just like, I see four of them and. <v Speaker 1>Especially in drama clips when they go back and forth exactly, <v Speaker 1>pinging back and forth. <v Speaker 3>Tech tone and all the other creators always wonderful, wonderful creators. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, what's game? Anyway? <v Speaker 3>So this game I've been sitting on for the last <v Speaker 3>few weeks because we haven't done one. <v Speaker 1>I know, I kept pushing it. Sorry, we're doing and everything. <v Speaker 1>So this one is pretty straightforward. <v Speaker 2>Word. <v Speaker 1>You can only save one and the other is gone forever, <v Speaker 1>no new games, no future appearances. <v Speaker 2>This is easy. This is gonna be easy. I love <v Speaker 2>being cut throat with these get rid of stuff foks. <v Speaker 3>I don't think Starbucks is in this. This is before <v Speaker 3>we knew about the reveal. <v Speaker 1>Oh, I see, so this is just We're gonna start <v Speaker 1>at lighting and then it gets pretty serious. <v Speaker 3>Oay, okay, hold up, okay, good thing. That thing covers it. Well, <v Speaker 3>that's placed so perfectly so you can't see the characters anyways. <v Speaker 3>The first we have a toad versus goombas Toad. <v Speaker 2>Why'd you pick such flamboyant ones? Well, what is flamboyant <v Speaker 2>about them? You know? Well? <v Speaker 1>I just meant like, the images are very colorful. It <v Speaker 1>was on a bike, it's on a mustag is the <v Speaker 1>non Tendo podcast. Of course, Brenton's laughing that I said flamboyant. <v Speaker 1>That's not really the one I was looking at. Vibrant, Vibrant. <v Speaker 1>I don't really care. I got to eat save them. <v Speaker 1>We can delete both if that's okay, No, got cake <v Speaker 1>one and delete the other. You know, we're starting to <v Speaker 1>out light, so there's no emotions attached. So we're just <v Speaker 1>testing the water so you get the concept. <v Speaker 2>Of the game. <v Speaker 1>I feel like, oh my god, I'll never see a total. <v Speaker 1>Really don't care about either of them. <v Speaker 3>So you're telling me, you're telling me you don't care <v Speaker 3>about total or not at all. He never had any <v Speaker 3>impact on the Mario movie. <v Speaker 1>Nope, he annoys me in most of the games. I <v Speaker 1>hate dealing with him, talking with him. All right, well, <v Speaker 1>you know, if I were to pick, I would say, <v Speaker 1>we say you can pick, you can go ahead, and <v Speaker 1>then we actually like Goomber is like the classic Mario enemy. <v Speaker 2>It's like the one. <v Speaker 1>It's the one that he jumps on and it it <v Speaker 1>sounds like you want going well, I feel like he <v Speaker 1>I feel like he has more value than Toad. <v Speaker 2>Yeah wow, okay, well then there's your answer. I feel like, yeah, <v Speaker 2>I know this. <v Speaker 1>If we're deleting a Mario character or a Mario enemy, <v Speaker 1>you have like the Mario enemy and it's not really <v Speaker 1>the Mario character. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean Toads are pretty much base and well <v Speaker 3>they replaced Toad with this is no longer Princess Toads <v Speaker 3>to now she's princess. <v Speaker 1>But now does this include like all Toads like Captain <v Speaker 1>Toad and like the. <v Speaker 2>Video, it's worth those ones. I'll happily get those are <v Speaker 2>like yeah, those are like you know, side characters. Okay, <v Speaker 2>well then it's still Toads. Okay, well no more toad <v Speaker 2>all right, that's fine, all right. <v Speaker 1>Next up we have Warrior versus Actually, wait, hold up, <v Speaker 1>Warrio versus Yoshi. This one's easy. Warrior can go, Can go? <v Speaker 1>Yoshi stays not fussed. Yoshi, I'm keeping for Kim. I <v Speaker 1>really like again, I'm gonna stress this one more time. <v Speaker 1>Mario is not my franchise I have. I have no <v Speaker 1>attachment to these characters at all. <v Speaker 2>Okay. <v Speaker 1>I like some of the games. I like Odyssey, Bonanza <v Speaker 1>was fun. These these characters, these aren't my characters. They <v Speaker 1>get old. <v Speaker 2>Go. <v Speaker 1>I love Zeldas, I love Samus, you know, well, I <v Speaker 1>prefer the stuff. It's more games than if you put <v Speaker 1>Fox and Falco. I'd have a harder time deleting one <v Speaker 1>of them. And I don't even like that franchise that much. <v Speaker 1>I just like those characters. <v Speaker 3>I mean, you could just delete Falco and keep Fox, obviously. <v Speaker 2>That's what I would do. That's what I would do. <v Speaker 2>That's what you would do. <v Speaker 1>I would cook that bird, I'd make I'd make KFC <v Speaker 1>oh Falco nuggets, Entucky Falco. <v Speaker 2>That doesn't work, all right? <v Speaker 1>Next up we have Kirby versus you gotta keep Pikachi. <v Speaker 1>I actually don't really care about Kirby. Okay, sorry, sak, <v Speaker 1>He's fine. My favorite thing about Kirby is in Smash, <v Speaker 1>especially early on. One of the most unique in fundabilities <v Speaker 1>in all of the Smash was taking the copy ability. <v Speaker 1>I thought that was really cool. I didn't really grow <v Speaker 1>up with too much Kirby. No, Kirby is like a <v Speaker 1>staple childho thing for me. Like, come on, I care <v Speaker 1>about Pokemon a lot. If you would have put a <v Speaker 1>bunch of Pokemon, I'd have a hard time choosing. <v Speaker 2>Alright, all right, sounds good, all right. <v Speaker 3>Next up we have Sonic versus Donkey Kong. <v Speaker 2>Sorry, don't care. It might take that back. You're never <v Speaker 2>gonna get another Sonic movie. That's fine. <v Speaker 1>Sonic gets way more games. Great Sonic movies. They were <v Speaker 1>a lot of fun. We don't need to keep making them. <v Speaker 1>Sometimes you can cool well enough a. <v Speaker 2>Lot for you. How many are they gonna make? Do <v Speaker 2>you think? I don't know? At least one more? <v Speaker 1>Well, yeah, the four coming out, but then five maybe <v Speaker 1>after all? Right, next we have Bowser versus get it. <v Speaker 1>We're gonna keep getting. We're going to keep getting. I <v Speaker 1>mean I need him for my games. I don't need <v Speaker 1>Bowser for anything. <v Speaker 2>I don't. You just don't like Mario. <v Speaker 1>That's right, you don't Mario, but I like, I'm sorry <v Speaker 1>if you're if we're this isn't. I wouldn't sit here <v Speaker 1>on a random podcast and keep saying I hate Mario, <v Speaker 1>I hate Sonic. But if you're giving me like delete <v Speaker 1>or say characters, I'm gonna give you an honest opinion. <v Speaker 1>I don't care about these characters. Okay, Okay, I gotcha. <v Speaker 1>I mean this is gonna make the rest of it <v Speaker 1>pretty easy, then definitely would probably That's why as soon <v Speaker 1>as I saw it and you told me. I was like, <v Speaker 1>this is easy because also like should be fair. It <v Speaker 1>doesn't really, I don't whatever. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, okay, next we have a Peach versus all the. <v Speaker 2>Kippen Zelda, and we're gonna get rid of Peach. Mmm. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, ound is my queen. If I were to choose, <v Speaker 1>I would also pick Zelda. He pickled over Peace. Zelda <v Speaker 1>has so much more personality. All right, I'll just I'll <v Speaker 1>just take Liberty and doing the last one for you, <v Speaker 1>What did you think was gonna happen, my guy? I mean, now, <v Speaker 1>if I had known what was gonna Mario, I would <v Speaker 1>have switched up the whole roster. We could do it. <v Speaker 2>We gotta run it back. <v Speaker 1>Now you could run it back and put the Zelder <v Speaker 1>ones together and put the Mario ones together. Ye, that <v Speaker 1>would be harder, like it was like Linco Zelder. Then <v Speaker 1>I would be like for me if. <v Speaker 3>I have a deep attachment to both Zelda and Mario games, <v Speaker 3>so for me, it would be a really hard decision. <v Speaker 1>Yeah that makes sense, Yeah, sense, Like I have to <v Speaker 1>think about it. Probably, I don't even know what game <v Speaker 1>for me. I don't even know what would come close <v Speaker 1>to Zelder for any pairing, But I don't even know <v Speaker 1>if it would be in the Mario world, like you <v Speaker 1>might have to go somewhere else because I love I <v Speaker 1>love a lot of games, like I don't know why, <v Speaker 1>but the first one that comes to my mind is like, <v Speaker 1>would you rather delete Zelder or Dante from DMC? And <v Speaker 1>for me, that's actually harder than you would think. I <v Speaker 1>would probably pick Zelder, but those are link sorry, but <v Speaker 1>those are two of my favorite protagonists in like any <v Speaker 1>video game ever, Like I love Dante. I'd have a <v Speaker 1>really hard time with that one, yeah, which I know <v Speaker 1>is like a little bit more off the wall, but <v Speaker 1>or even like would you rather de Gannendorf or like <v Speaker 1>Marcus Phoenix from Kids? Or if you did like Marcus <v Speaker 1>Phoenix and master Chief something like that, I'd be like, <v Speaker 1>like video games, yeah, okay, but it's just my I <v Speaker 1>don't know why Mario is Mario. I I know I <v Speaker 1>have like a Nintendo podcasts so like and it's I <v Speaker 1>don't know, I feel bad sometimes Mario just never really. <v Speaker 1>I liked Mario one, two, and three on the NES <v Speaker 1>a lot, like when I was a kid. Those are <v Speaker 1>my favorite games on the NES and I still love <v Speaker 1>them now, Like the first Mario and the third Mario <v Speaker 1>I will go back and play. I love picking them <v Speaker 1>up on the Nintendo One line. I have such good <v Speaker 1>nostalgia for them for some reason. Everything after that until Sunshine. <v Speaker 1>I loved Sunshine, and then I fell back out again, <v Speaker 1>and I didn't really love a Mario until Odyssey Interesting <v Speaker 1>and that that was like my my Mario. And then <v Speaker 1>Bonanza I adored. I loved thousand Year Door. Actually, thousand <v Speaker 1>Year Door was huge. Love that one. If you had <v Speaker 1>put paper Mario in here, I'd probably weirdly have a harder. <v Speaker 2>Time, but you still would have picked Link if it <v Speaker 2>was against Link. Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. <v Speaker 1>But if it was like paper Mario against regular Mario, <v Speaker 1>I'm picking paper Mario. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>I don't know, it's weird. I just I never really <v Speaker 1>connected with Mario. I just I mean, because yeah, I <v Speaker 1>always for me. Whenever I think about Nintendo growing up <v Speaker 1>as a brand as a property, I always think of <v Speaker 1>Link and I always think of Zelda, and my first <v Speaker 1>go to is never Mario. <v Speaker 2>And I know that's weird. <v Speaker 1>It's probably like thinking of Disney and not thinking of <v Speaker 1>Mickey and going straight to like Aladdin. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know, but that's it. <v Speaker 1>For me, it's like when I think of Disney, I <v Speaker 1>think of Aladdin, like that's the equivalent. I don't know <v Speaker 1>why other than that's what I grew up with. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>well that's a pretty good point there, I think. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>all right, well I'll keep that and I'll keep that <v Speaker 1>in mind for next time I do anything Mario. The <v Speaker 1>game was fun. No, no, no, I know it's a fun game, <v Speaker 1>but I don't want to make it seem like I <v Speaker 1>was trying to make it. I was trying to wood <v Speaker 1>it up because I knew I was gonna have trying <v Speaker 1>to be. <v Speaker 2>Goofy on it. But I appreciate it. It was fun. No, <v Speaker 2>I understand, No, trust me. <v Speaker 1>And everyone knows even more how much I hate Mario. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>now we truly know. Yeah, I don't hate Mario. I <v Speaker 1>just don't have like a deep seated love for it. <v Speaker 1>Not trust me, You're not the only one. I have <v Speaker 1>friends that are like that. They're like, you know, they <v Speaker 1>could never connect with Mario, like yeah, you know, and <v Speaker 1>they're huge Nintendo fans and identify themselves as massive Nintendo fans. <v Speaker 1>I would rather play like an Oracle of Seasons over <v Speaker 1>like a Mario Galaxy. Yeah, just because I'd rather play <v Speaker 1>a Zelda game. Yeah, it's just like, love love Zelder. <v Speaker 1>I love exploring higher role, I love playing a link, <v Speaker 1>I love the adventure, you know. And I'm really not <v Speaker 1>so much into like platform is. I do like platforms, <v Speaker 1>it's just not my favorite genre. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I feel like it's like when people prefer Sonic over Mario. <v Speaker 3>I feel like a lot of it also has to <v Speaker 3>do with like that was their childhood game that they <v Speaker 3>were exposed to more for me. Yeah for me, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>Like for me, Mario is like what I grew up playing. <v Speaker 3>Was like my first ever video game experiences was with Mario. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>so I'm not like attached to him because like all <v Speaker 3>the story is so rich and beautiful, and you know <v Speaker 3>that's with Zelda. It's like the game and the story <v Speaker 3>and everything of it is, yeah what captivates me. <v Speaker 1>I've talked about this before on the podcast and it's <v Speaker 1>a deep cut. But like, growing up, I loved reading books, <v Speaker 1>and one of the books series I loved so much <v Speaker 1>was Emily Rodders del Tora Quest. Yeah, and it was <v Speaker 1>just this story of like a young kid who gets <v Speaker 1>this like magical belt and he has to go out <v Speaker 1>into the Kingdom and visit all these different locations and <v Speaker 1>get jewels for the belt, and once he has it all, <v Speaker 1>he gets powers. He gets a power on each one, <v Speaker 1>but then he unlocks like it's kind of like the <v Speaker 1>Thanosk Gauntlet, and then he saves the kingdom and it's <v Speaker 1>like set in like a Zelda time period of my <v Speaker 1>castles and everything. So when I ended up playing our <v Speaker 1>Karina after reading those books, it was like that coming <v Speaker 1>to life for me, and I've always chased those adventures <v Speaker 1>since then. It's why Witch of Three is one of <v Speaker 1>my favorite games of all time, because it's like an <v Speaker 1>adult version of like those books and Zelda. <v Speaker 2>So that's just where I love. <v Speaker 1>Getting into the shoes of a character, into the personality <v Speaker 1>and role of a character, and going on an adventure <v Speaker 1>with them, not so much like I can jump on <v Speaker 1>these platforms and then get a coin over here, which. <v Speaker 2>Is like, I get why that's on. It's like seratonin, <v Speaker 2>but it's just not. <v Speaker 1>It's a lot of cordial, Yeah, a lot of There <v Speaker 1>was a study done that showed that people who play <v Speaker 1>Mario games their cordoral levels are a little bit higher <v Speaker 1>than average, because you know, you're a little on the Edge. <v Speaker 2>Oh is that true? Yeah? <v Speaker 1>Oh interesting. My brother showed it to me when I <v Speaker 1>was there. But have you ever played Fable? I love <v Speaker 1>Fable play? Yeah, Fable was like, that's my favorite Xbox series. <v Speaker 1>I'm excited for the new ones. Yeah, but Fable one, two, <v Speaker 1>and three, especially especially two and three. I mean one's great. <v Speaker 1>A lot of people prefer it because they removed features <v Speaker 1>in two or three, but two was my all time goal. <v Speaker 1>And then I loved three and I played both of <v Speaker 1>those back in the day so many times. It was <v Speaker 1>that again. I know I said Witcher was like an <v Speaker 1>adult Zelda, but that was also an adult Zelda. That <v Speaker 1>was that was an adult. That was my first adult <v Speaker 1>all the experience. It was awesome. I love those games anyway. Alright, <v Speaker 1>I would like to keep it short today, but that's <v Speaker 1>an hour and night's to do this. <v Speaker 2>The super chats real quick. Go for it, all right, <v Speaker 2>Well we'll speak through this. We got a few, so <v Speaker 2>thank you everyone. Go for it, buddy, all right. <v Speaker 1>Prof Rock pr that two dollars donation, two dollars towards <v Speaker 1>your next switch to console purchase. <v Speaker 2>Thank you for that. <v Speaker 1>Uh fon Steele with the five dollars checking in on <v Speaker 1>the super chats. Good luck with the show today, boys, <v Speaker 1>and shout outs to night Sky great Stream on Tuesday. <v Speaker 2>Man, hey, shoutow you do. We had a lot of <v Speaker 2>fun things. <v Speaker 1>Thank you both of you so much. <v Speaker 2>Of course, uh. <v Speaker 1>Evil Robot super Bonus plus episode remember for two months. <v Speaker 2>Thank you for that. <v Speaker 1>Wait, I want to keep doing this, but we never <v Speaker 1>plugged Patreon. We did not know for like the third <v Speaker 1>week in a row, I didn't show this video that <v Speaker 1>Express Moon made. Oh yeah, okay, all right, so I'm <v Speaker 1>going to do a little plug here for Patreon. So <v Speaker 1>we didn't have I'm going to get back to those <v Speaker 1>super chats. Sorry, but we didn't have ancert today. So <v Speaker 1>I would like to once again remind people of Patreon <v Speaker 1>and YouTube members if you want to support the show, <v Speaker 1>if you want to help keep this going. By the way, <v Speaker 1>I realized how many employees does Nintendo have now in <v Speaker 1>that group chat, Like, I think there's ten in there, <v Speaker 1>but just but Justin's in there, and and and Pats <v Speaker 1>in there, So I think I think we're up to <v Speaker 1>eight employees seven because you don't count as an employee, <v Speaker 1>you're the boss. Well I pay myself there. Well, there's <v Speaker 1>not counting me. There's h Brenton cutting right now. We <v Speaker 1>have Salian Knight in the room. We have shorts EDITORFF, <v Speaker 1>we have Express Moon, who we hired to do the <v Speaker 1>r and who has made this thing we're about to show. <v Speaker 1>Brandon who uploads the audio to Patreon and U, Spotify <v Speaker 1>and it and all the elder persons and he masters <v Speaker 1>it too and adds in like little jingles and stuff. <v Speaker 2>And then is that seven? That's seven? <v Speaker 1>Okay, am I missing someone? <v Speaker 2>So you're eight? <v Speaker 1>I saw I'm the you already said, you said yes, <v Speaker 1>well you said the other use of counts in with <v Speaker 1>with Brenton there. So yeah, this show, what I'm saying <v Speaker 1>is a lot of moving parts now, a lot of <v Speaker 1>cruise making this possible. And this happened even when we're <v Speaker 1>not on the air, when you're seeing everything get shared <v Speaker 1>out to social media's. And then we talked about night <v Speaker 1>picking up Twitter more and actually engaging more and like <v Speaker 1>sharing out like when we see we're gonna do some <v Speaker 1>more social stuff. You'll see a lot more in the world. <v Speaker 1>I'm gonna tur notifications on if I don't see too. <v Speaker 2>Oh and we have a website now. I didn't talk <v Speaker 2>about that either. Wow, can actually go to Nintendo podcast <v Speaker 2>dot com. Whoa really yeah, Nonintendo podcast dot com. I <v Speaker 2>could do it right now, right now. <v Speaker 1>So it used to be so when I made it <v Speaker 1>the other day, it was official, which is like the official, <v Speaker 1>but we actually got the domain for just. <v Speaker 2>That's my hoo. And I want you to know something. <v Speaker 2>I made this website way all on my own. Let's go. <v Speaker 1>Well, that had a little bit of help from some coding. Coding, yes, <v Speaker 1>but I made this and I'm so proud of it. <v Speaker 1>You actually, i'd love for you to go and peruse it. <v Speaker 1>All the links work. It's really We've got a non <v Speaker 1>tender one hundred club measure. How come I don't got <v Speaker 1>this pool? So I always wanted to have a website <v Speaker 1>for the show. Mostly the main reason I wanted it <v Speaker 1>is because I wanted somewhere to host all of the merch. <v Speaker 1>So you can come over here now and you can <v Speaker 1>check out the merch that we have, and as we <v Speaker 1>get more, the hot sauce is going to get added here. <v Speaker 1>So here's the merch that we have for sale. <v Speaker 2>Brotherhood is so nice. I'm not even saying this because <v Speaker 2>what gave me one for free? But I'm telling you. <v Speaker 1>It's one of my favorite pieces of merch and people <v Speaker 1>always ask me, like. <v Speaker 2>Bro, what is that? So when I made this, I <v Speaker 2>think zesf and the chat was like you have merch, <v Speaker 2>and like you didn't even know. So the merch. <v Speaker 1>By the way, these first three shirts here or these <v Speaker 1>three designs, these were all Bob. Bob created these, and <v Speaker 1>they are all through the retailer or the closed production <v Speaker 1>that Bob had. So it's the really high quality for <v Speaker 1>these three specifically really high quality shows. For sure, the <v Speaker 1>polo I sauced and then the bonus shirt I saw. <v Speaker 1>They're both very nice, very nice, but they didn't have <v Speaker 1>that polo available in this other plog, yeah, because I <v Speaker 1>think those were Bob's version. And then this is my <v Speaker 1>new lite, so I think that actually is a different version, okay. <v Speaker 1>And then the socks, so yeah, that's all there, and <v Speaker 1>I wanted someone to host that. And you can find <v Speaker 1>this listen page where you can find all the places <v Speaker 1>that host the show and you can go and listen <v Speaker 1>to it. And then there's even an about section nice, <v Speaker 1>and there's even a little tab here for Patreon if <v Speaker 1>you want to support. The latest episode will always be <v Speaker 1>updated here automatically you can see today's is already there, <v Speaker 1>so I yeah, I spent like two or three four <v Speaker 1>days on this. So so proud anyway, stuff like this <v Speaker 1>and the show growing and becoming more professional, and I'm <v Speaker 1>really trying to make it feel like an actual product <v Speaker 1>auction because it is and I want to reflect that, <v Speaker 1>and the Patreon helps with that more than anything else. <v Speaker 1>And the YouTube members. When I say Patreon, by the way, <v Speaker 1>that's my catch all for YouTube membersiness. But this was <v Speaker 1>made by our artist Express Moon and it she just <v Speaker 1>did this and I loved it. I wasn't expecting it. <v Speaker 1>But it's kind of in a way like an advertisement <v Speaker 1>for the Patreons. So here you go. I love that. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I was gonna say the music, it's so good. It's <v Speaker 1>so cute too. This aesthetic is like the game mixtape <v Speaker 1>that I was playing. I appreciated her blacking out the <v Speaker 1>address to really or does she black her address? <v Speaker 2>Maybe? Maybe just her I saw her so she put <v Speaker 2>the Nintendo Club card in her wallet, that's her stick <v Speaker 2>or she made that and then yeah she did, which <v Speaker 2>I'm now realizing she's to get her own stickers. So <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna got a remedy. <v Speaker 1>I have to refund her for that, and then us <v Speaker 1>cooking a brownie at the end, which is adoring, nice, <v Speaker 1>love it so much. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, that was the last physical reward that we did. <v Speaker 1>This was the Nintendo Fun Club card that you could <v Speaker 1>pick out and put in your wallet and it was laminated. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>oh my god, thank you so much for that. <v Speaker 2>So if you want to join, thank you. <v Speaker 1>If you want to join the Patreon and get rewards <v Speaker 1>like that, or just get the bonus episodes, like we're <v Speaker 1>about to do one right now, and we're going today. <v Speaker 1>We're going to be looking at a ton I haven't <v Speaker 1>seen them. I have a list of that I believe <v Speaker 1>Knight and ZESF and was it just those two about <v Speaker 1>me went through Twitter YouTube or just Twitter, Twitter social <v Speaker 1>YouTube and Twitter and in some of the short form <v Speaker 1>and they they've screached and I don't know I feel <v Speaker 1>about this, but they screeched on it a bunch of hate. <v Speaker 1>And yeah, so if you want to see getting roasted, <v Speaker 1>so we're going to get roasted, and we're also going <v Speaker 1>to react to it in the bonus episode today, which <v Speaker 1>goes live immediately after this episode. So we're gonna end, <v Speaker 1>We're gonna go off the air, and then we're gonna <v Speaker 1>go live again for YouTube members and you can find <v Speaker 1>a link to that in the member tab on YouTube. <v Speaker 1>And then we're gonna go live for patreons too, same time, <v Speaker 1>same stream, and we're gonna have a ton of fun. <v Speaker 1>You get bonus episodes every week, you get behind the scenes. <v Speaker 1>We shot some behind the scenes today, you get polled, <v Speaker 1>you get you asked the patreons for questions today and <v Speaker 1>we're gonna answer some of those in the bonus episode <v Speaker 1>today as well. And there's just so many ways to <v Speaker 1>get engaged with the show and support the show. I <v Speaker 1>really with the Patreon. It directly supports the show. But <v Speaker 1>I didn't want it to just be a tip shart. <v Speaker 1>I wanted it to be somewhere where you guys actually <v Speaker 1>get called rewards, like literally you get something which baseline, <v Speaker 1>you always get a bonus episode, but you get more <v Speaker 1>and more depending on how much you support on for sure. <v Speaker 1>So thank you so much for all of our support <v Speaker 1>that we've had from all of the patreon's names that <v Speaker 1>are on the screen right now, right here, these vip patreons. <v Speaker 2>Thank you so much. We have to update this for <v Speaker 2>next week. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, we do, Yes, all of the ips and all <v Speaker 1>the Patreons and all of you guys watching this at home. <v Speaker 1>If you enjoyed the episode today, if you enjoyed the <v Speaker 1>show in general, like comment, subscribe on the YouTube version. <v Speaker 1>The audio versions rate at five stars. Leave us a <v Speaker 1>nice review. You guys want to say. <v Speaker 2>More, you have more? Oh, we didn't do this. You <v Speaker 2>want me to go through them real quick? You got <v Speaker 2>a lot of Yeah, I don't want to go you off? <v Speaker 2>All right, Well, you guys got more, a little bit bonus. <v Speaker 2>Actually we can keep this. We can keep the bike <v Speaker 2>music going, all right, even Robot I'm gonna say is <v Speaker 2>I'm glad I got my switched to from Amazon a <v Speaker 2>couple of days after the launch day. <v Speaker 1>Very nice luody by Hershey. Remember for two months on <v Speaker 1>the secret bonus episodes as well. I will fight anyone <v Speaker 1>who says shorter episodes. I hear you zastep with the <v Speaker 1>ten dollars solely start farting rapidly at intense speed. <v Speaker 2>Oh that is that is Oz. Thank you for those <v Speaker 2>men business with the money you paid him just so <v Speaker 2>you can pay him back. I see, thank you. I don't want to brag. We are <v Speaker 2>the one podcast, but I don't want to brag. But <v Speaker 2>I do believe I've said this before and I could <v Speaker 2>be wrong. <v Speaker 1>I do think it is the most viewed YouTube gaming <v Speaker 1>podcast on the internet. <v Speaker 2>I think I can agree. I don't know. <v Speaker 1>I don't know what one is. More if you, if <v Speaker 1>you guys know one, you can keep talking on. We're <v Speaker 1>gonna keep going on here Booty again saying five dollars. <v Speaker 1>Also fight anyone who talks smack about Wood Night or Sully. <v Speaker 1>Let's go. I appreciate that. I am MQ with the <v Speaker 1>nine ninety nine. <v Speaker 2>Hey Wood. <v Speaker 1>I've started watching you for a while and started watching <v Speaker 1>the podcast about a year ago. I got my new <v Speaker 1>favorite controller, the moapad, for my seventeenth birthday on May eleventh. <v Speaker 1>Love you guys, Happy belated birthday. Congrats to another baby <v Speaker 1>May birthday. <v Speaker 2>Thank you so much. <v Speaker 1>Dragonhart six one three The five Dollars mixtape nothing like Telltale. <v Speaker 1>Telltale actually gives you control over events. There are videos <v Speaker 1>of people putting Controllers down and mixtape plays itself. Hey, <v Speaker 1>I agree with you, that's the point. <v Speaker 2>Great take. <v Speaker 1>Yes, the Sleepy funds. He with the five dollars would <v Speaker 1>thoughts on making a video comparing all the Switch to <v Speaker 1>Controllers bro a hit though, Yeah, I've done. I did <v Speaker 1>that for Switch one. That's definitely the kind of idea <v Speaker 1>that I would revisit eventually. I just need more. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I need to get a little bit further in <v Speaker 2>so I can do it for sure. Grizzly Nick, thank you. <v Speaker 2>Welcome to the Secret Bonus episode as well. Think you <v Speaker 2>becoming a member the Litz my guy with A one <v Speaker 2>ninety nine both be the grifter and shrill the community needs. <v Speaker 2>I can agree. <v Speaker 1>I walk both lines. It's a fine line, but I <v Speaker 1>straddle it for sure. Fire with Fire, Glitz with the <v Speaker 1>ten dollars Canadian. I don't usually tune in for the live. <v Speaker 1>I like to listen to the VOD on Friday while <v Speaker 1>I'm at work. Just wanted to say thank you, well, <v Speaker 1>thank you for the donation. <v Speaker 2>Really appreciate that. <v Speaker 1>Proft Rock pr the two dollars, Nontendo times two awesome <v Speaker 1>and prof Rock with the five Gifted memberships for Nontendo. <v Speaker 1>That's all so much, prof Rop And then all we <v Speaker 1>got a couple more here too, actually underground with the <v Speaker 1>ten dollars who actually just said, don't forget to promote <v Speaker 1>the website and happy anniversary, just sang we just did. <v Speaker 2>Thank you for that. Thank you, and then thank you <v Speaker 2>so much. Listen so many. <v Speaker 1>With the two jewels, the one hundred. Oh is this <v Speaker 1>like bits or something? I don't know your two jewels, <v Speaker 1>and then more a couple of jewels. Thank you for that, Jesus, <v Speaker 1>thank you so much. And then last and not the <v Speaker 1>siggy welcome to the Secret Bonus episodes. Yeah, I don't <v Speaker 1>know what the jewels mean, but thank you. Yeah, I <v Speaker 1>think that's a new thing. I appreciate all of you <v Speaker 1>so much. And Professor Rock, and like so many of these, <v Speaker 1>like and Dan and Booty by Hershey and Dragonheart who <v Speaker 1>are supporting every episode and always in the chat. I <v Speaker 1>appreciate you all so much. Also, someone in chat said <v Speaker 1>Kit and Christa has more subs than you. Kit and Christer, <v Speaker 1>I'm my best friends. I am not comparing myself to <v Speaker 1>Kitt Chris. <v Speaker 2>How many subs as they got? <v Speaker 1>They have like one thousand more subs apparently. But I <v Speaker 1>also was not talking about subsive episode few. I was <v Speaker 1>talking about like the podcast itself and I'm curious, but <v Speaker 1>like it's not a competition. <v Speaker 2>No, I don't want to start naming certain people. <v Speaker 1>I'm just I'm just saying that when we were pitching, <v Speaker 1>they got one ky more than you when we we're <v Speaker 1>gonna get them when they get Like when we were <v Speaker 1>pitching to sponsors for the show, I started to look <v Speaker 1>around at other gaming podcasts that did sponsors because I <v Speaker 1>wanted to get a gauge of like views so we <v Speaker 1>could pitch better. And I that that's when I began <v Speaker 1>to realize I couldn't find another podcast that was doing <v Speaker 1>video podcasts on YouTube live or otherwise, or that we're <v Speaker 1>getting more posted views week to week. <v Speaker 2>And it was a realization where I was like pitch that. <v Speaker 1>I was like, go to the sponsors and say, like, <v Speaker 1>I'm pretty sure this is the biggest gaming podcast in America. <v Speaker 2>Do you want to be a sponsor? Yes? <v Speaker 1>And again that I could be wrong, but I looked everywhere. <v Speaker 1>I looked everywhere I look. I'll look this week and <v Speaker 1>I'll try and find one. We'll try whoever they are, <v Speaker 1>we're gonna beat them. <v Speaker 2>Let's go. <v Speaker 1>Spoke the Secret Bonus episodes, and I want to say, <v Speaker 1>I'm so proud of it and I'm so thankful for it. <v Speaker 1>You know, it's been four years and the show is <v Speaker 1>it's better than ever, so I just appreciate it. Here, <v Speaker 1>we're having fun, happy. It is an honor to be <v Speaker 1>here for you, right, Yeah, the narcissists here are guys. <v Speaker 2>I got you. <v Speaker 1>We've spent the last twenty minutes talking about nothing. We <v Speaker 1>need to end all right, let's get out of here. <v Speaker 1>I love you, O see you in the Bonus by <v Speaker 1>First
