Sam looking hands somewhat up, buddy, how do how do you do? And of course Dan Bayer Dan Byer the Great is also hanging out on standby with your updates. 00:02:30 Speaker 1: But thank you guys for being here. 00:02:32 Speaker 2: If we have time, I want to talk about World Baseball Classic. I'm just trying to get people pumped about that because it starts March fourth through the seventeenth, so we actually have meaningful baseball next month early next month, and I'm so excited about that. And speaking of rich I didn't want to rub it in, but did you see your boy today? Of course I saw pin A Lonzo hit his first home run as an Oriole, first of many. 00:02:53 Speaker 1: And you don't think that was lighting up my metch chat this morning? 00:02:56 Speaker 2: Hell, I just didn't know if you had time because I know you were in the nursery all day this doctor brown Thumb. Let me tell you Dan Bayer and I we bond on this on Lantana's Dan Bayer Dambuyer is the only guy in here that has curb epee. Have you seen my road is Dan Byer, I said to Cavino before we start, I said, you know, if I ever retire, and our boss Scott said, you won't because you can't shut up. But if I ever did retire when I was older, I said, I want to work in a nursery. Plants and flowers and fruit trees. Doesn't it just commue. 00:03:27 Speaker 5: It's a great, great spot. I always loved greenhouses, you know, surround the surrounding. There's something about the the the clear overhanging above you. 00:03:37 Speaker 2: I love this beautiful, I said to Cavino. We live in southern California. I want a plump tree, a mandarin tree, limes, lemon Why do people not have these? Are they cheap or they have no space so they don't want them? Like it's a legendary story about Magic Johnson. In fact, like when he first came out here, it was one of the things that like he was so impressed by. 00:03:54 Speaker 1: Like orange tree. 00:03:55 Speaker 2: Dude, when my East Coast friends and family visit me, you know what everyone does, They make orange juice and lemonade because they go, wait, you have these trees on the side of your house. 00:04:04 Speaker 1: That's true. 00:04:04 Speaker 2: As things we take for granted out here in California, I mean, just something as simple as palm trees. I want palm trees symbolized to me as a kid from the East Coast that yeah, I'm somewhere cool man, I'm on vacation. 00:04:14 Speaker 1: I got asked. You're right. 00:04:14 Speaker 2: We have these orange trees, palm trees, and we have access to them, and you would think that everybody would have them, but not everybody does. Well before we talk about Indiana and Chicago and the windy City and the cold Midwest. I'm curious about the avocado tree because I wonder if it takes because I see them, and I mean, who wouldn't want one, Dan Bayer any inside on the avocado tree. 00:04:33 Speaker 5: No, I don't, and we don't have any trees on our property of growing anything. But I do have a palm tree in the back. It probably needs to cut down. I'm thinking about charging admission to any guys like rich and myself that would just want to watch people cut down a tree because it's magnificent. Trim a palm tree because there's something satisfying the gratification of seeing it be cut down. Not that I don't like this one bit. No, you see, you're you're looking at it the wrong way. Sound, you're looking at it like a tree hugger. That's not what this is. This is a tree that doesn't have the room to grow and needs to be cut down. 00:05:10 Speaker 1: I don't know. Yes, well, the reason. 00:05:13 Speaker 6: Say it's a freaking lawn kind don't know what he's talking about. If you don't have grass to grow, then I have a bunch of trees in your yard. 00:05:21 Speaker 2: Sound. 00:05:21 Speaker 7: I don't know. 00:05:22 Speaker 8: So I was only an organic farmer for a decade, just telling you how. 00:05:25 Speaker 6: Does your how does your how does your grass grow? And there's trees and roots taken up. 00:05:29 Speaker 8: There certain types of grasses that will grow under trees. Maybe not here, though I'm not listening. You've been out in California longer than me, so maybe you know you know this soil better, he. 00:05:40 Speaker 1: Said, you know this. So I don't know what's up with this guy to. 00:05:43 Speaker 8: Come out there and just survey and just make sure that everything's checking off the list. 00:05:46 Speaker 1: Let me trying to access with this though. 00:05:48 Speaker 2: The reason I even bring it up is because I thought Rich may have missed that his boy Alonzo hitting bombs for the Orioles in his debut because he was so busy gardening this morning. Though, I told Kino, I said, I saw Peter Lonzo hit a home run. Of course, the met chat was popping like, well, he's gonna hit fifty in Baltimore. 00:06:06 Speaker 1: Of course he is. 00:06:07 Speaker 2: And then I went back to planting all the new flowers in my yard. It's that time. But you know what I want to start the show with. We're already seven minutes and having fun. I'm hearing the rumblings more and more, and I said, you know what, it's time for me to have a comprehensive breakdown. 00:06:21 Speaker 1: What the hell is going on? 00:06:22 Speaker 2: When you said rumblings, I thought you meant the el poyo loco. I just I heard that rumbling too. I'm sure it's agreeing with think. I'm gonna leave the studio in about twenty minutes. What is going on with the Bears in Indiana and Illinois? And well, what's going on is the Bears want to move because they're getting a better deal in Indiana and Chicago has its issues. 00:06:43 Speaker 1: They're not offering a big deal. 00:06:44 Speaker 2: But Chicago also, even as of yesterday, they had these congressmen saying, hey, look man, we've been pretty clear on we want to keep them here in Chicago. We want them to stay here with us we wish that they wouldn't go public with all their quests of moving out. We're doing our best to make things work. We're trying to keep it private, but they're doing their best to keep them. So there's a little bit of a conflict of the Bears are ready to leave, they're getting a better deal, yep. 00:07:12 Speaker 1: Well, and Chicago of course wants them. Here's the deal. There's a little back and forth, but at a question. 00:07:16 Speaker 2: Indiana lawmakers are advancing a bill they would create a Northwest Indiana Stadium, a publicly, a public body, empowered with land and bottle all the infos here. But the Bears are saying that it's a meaningful step forward in actually building a stadium in Indiana and moving the team. Now, of course Chicago doesn't want the team leaving. That would be ridiculous, and they've made it very clear. So they're a little upset that it's gone this farm. To be honest with you, when I heard this noise within the last month or so whatever, and. 00:07:48 Speaker 1: Of course the fans are devastating. 00:07:50 Speaker 2: I'm talking about you know, the politicians and people speaking on behalf of this go. 00:07:54 Speaker 1: Of truth be told it through me for a loop No. 00:07:57 Speaker 2: But the last month or so, I've ignored all these rumblings because I ask assumed it was just like rumors. Ye're like, God, that's not really gonna happen. I'm like, oh wait, this might really happen. So I got to ask you first and first mostly, if the Bears do move to Indiana, do the fans just roll with this and like, hey, business is business? Are they still the quote Chicago Bears? I mean the Jets and the Giants are the New York Jets and Giants. They play in Jersey. The forty nine ers are an hour plus away in Santa Clara. And guess what they're still the San Francisco forty nine is. In fact, they show shots of the Bay Area when they do rejoins from commercials. There's the illusion that the forty nine ers in San Francisco, we were just there. They're not in San Francisco. We lived in New York, in New Jersey growing up. Cavino Giants Stadium MetLife is fifteen twenty minutes from your family's house in Union, New Jersey. Well, I just like they're not in New York. I'm not saying this is one hundred percent accurate. I just coogled real quick, how far Chicago from Indiana. It's over three hours, so like. 00:08:57 Speaker 5: There's no but it's over the border of different not three hours. 00:09:02 Speaker 1: It's literally like thirty minutes away. Yes, it's over it's over the border. Oh okay, so then it's closer than I thought. How far? Okay, so Google's wrong. Thanks. 00:09:12 Speaker 8: Like there's a couple of things to play here, Like at least at least the Niners, although they're south playing South, they're still in the state of California. They're they're on the way the periphery of San Francisco. 00:09:23 Speaker 1: And that's the thing Rich brought up the Giants and Jets. There's no is there room in New York to be in the. 00:09:29 Speaker 2: Tri state area though, like if you're in New Jersey, I know if people from New York will deny this, but if you live in New Jersey, you could sort of claim New York some absolutely, you know, it's the same thing, and you go on vacation if you're from Jersey, and it's almost like that little joke on the East Coast or our East Coast affiliates. You meet a couple at the swim Up Bar in Mexico. 00:09:48 Speaker 1: Hey, where are you from? 00:09:49 Speaker 9: Hey? 00:09:49 Speaker 2: Where you goes from a lot of times people from New Jersey will say from New York. You could say that and get away with especially if you work in New York, because most people in New Jersey work in New York, you know, and and they're so connected and so close. I don't know if you could say the same. I don't think you can say the same. With Indiana and Chicago, people. 00:10:07 Speaker 8: Get get a little bit of slack for saying they're from Chicago when they're actually from the suburbs of Chicago. 00:10:12 Speaker 1: They're from like Decatur, Illinois. You're not from Chicago. 00:10:15 Speaker 8: Aperville or you know, Geneva or Saint Charles. 00:10:17 Speaker 2: My wife has family in the Naperville and Decatur area, and like I remember, we drove to see them. 00:10:22 Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, we're not Chicago anymore. 00:10:24 Speaker 8: Oh, like Richard, you're in the burbs. So if you build a stadium in the burbs, that's that's to me, makes more sense than building it in another state. 00:10:31 Speaker 1: I don't know, so I like it. 00:10:32 Speaker 8: If they did build in Aperville, if they're going to have to move away from Soldier Field. 00:10:35 Speaker 2: Let me let me take it to the Jets for a second, we do know, and it's common knowlogy, what's that stupid trick question? Like name the only NFL team in New York and idiots like Theoyants and it's like, no, the Buffalo Bills got it, got him, that's like the elementary that's the elementary school, like, you know, trick question. But the reality is, at one point, the Jets, we're trying to build a stadium on the West side of New York City, off the West Side Highway, right by the Hudson River. There was a plan at one point to build a stadium. Never went through. Honestly, that would have been a nightmare, dude. There's just much more room in the metal Lands. But that's why it's like fifteen minutes outside of the Lincoln Tunnel, the Metlands Netlife area Covenos, right, it's like swamp land and bam, there's MetLife. If you live or work in New York City, it might as well be New York doesn't like Jersey Long Island, Connecticut. Like no, I grew up there, same difference. 00:11:30 Speaker 1: It really is. 00:11:31 Speaker 2: The only people that'll correct you are like people from Manhattan, maybe because they live there. There people with a two on two area. Yeah, that's really it. Otherwise it's the same thing. So let's ask our friend the same story here. So what are your thoughts if the Bears. I guess there's a side question too, now that you're starting to take it more serious. Yea, do they remain the Chicago Bears? 00:11:50 Speaker 1: And probably not? 00:11:52 Speaker 2: You know, no, it would be a travesty if they didn't. That's where I land on this, and I'm curious to hear from our friends that are Bears fans. Are on Rich Fox Sports Radio Nation Chicago. Here's your chance, Bears fans, let's chat it up eight seven, seven, nine nine on Fox. What I thought was just silly rumors is becoming more and more of a possibility, not a reality yet. 00:12:14 Speaker 1: But we're talking. 00:12:14 Speaker 2: About advancing bills in the Senate in Congress, and you know, states fighting back and forth with billions of dollars of resources. And if Indiana has a deal on the table and you're playing dealer, no deal with how we men down the banker, It's like, oh, it makes this like what you more significant is how storied the Bears franchise is. Bears were founded in nineteen twenty. Indicator Illinois and moved to Chicago inteen nineteen twenty one and renamed the Bears in nineteen twenty two. So like the early nineteen twenties were talking about that's why this is significant. Over one hundred years later, now they're moving and everyone's okay with that. I mean that feels weird. Buyer is a historian of the NFL. No one knows more in this room than dB. I'm a far second. Maybe Danny, someone in the room for the History Channel. 00:13:09 Speaker 1: Just this one. It's far but a History Channel, look at this guy. I'll tell you about it. During the weekend, Hobnabin. 00:13:15 Speaker 2: Cavino talks about UFOs on the History Channel and an NFL expert his history. If I ever see a lower third, that says Steve Cavino, historian on a throw up. I'm a throw up, But damn bier. When you think of historic NFL franchises, I mean, don't you don't you automatically go to like Bears, Packers. 00:13:33 Speaker 1: There's a couple of teams you go to, correct. 00:13:36 Speaker 2: So it would be wildly weird if even if they want to cross the border to a different state, isn't there going to be a fight to be like, well, there's still the Chicago Bears, Like you don't think you don't think they'll try to keep that. 00:13:47 Speaker 1: Yes, they will. 00:13:48 Speaker 5: And again, the stadium is just across the border, like it's it's just more of the principle of being in Indiana that seems to be. But location wise, it's closer than a lot. I think it's closer than where Santa Clara is to San Francisco. You guys talked about so like those stadiums are yeats TB. 00:14:07 Speaker 2: Would you go as far as to call this a nothing Burger? Is it really like one of these things that on paper it might be they're moving in the end, but the reality is it's like if you're from that area, like, yeah. 00:14:18 Speaker 1: It's right across the border. 00:14:19 Speaker 5: You know what, Yeah, I'm gonna call it a nothing Burgers. Yees I am. 00:14:23 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:14:23 Speaker 2: So basically, if Dan Byer says nothing Burger Burger, it's no different than the Giants and Jets being in New Jersey, no different than the forty nine ers being in Santa Clara. 00:14:32 Speaker 1: Just the way of the world. It's just you need it. I mean, they need to room for these stadiums. Similar to what's going on with the Kansas City Chiefs. Correct. 00:14:38 Speaker 5: Yeah, they're moving into the state of Kansas. Different part of the metro area of Kansas City, but the part that's in Kansas. 00:14:44 Speaker 2: And I think because the name is because the name is similarly, we don't care. Yeah, yeah, I just think it's because it's the Bears and there's such a legendary team. 00:14:56 Speaker 5: That may be it's also a team to put a UFO shaped toilet as their stadium when we're doing Soldier Field. So like the decisions that they have made at times have not necessarily been But. 00:15:07 Speaker 8: If you have been in that UFO shaped toilet, it is right there in Lake Michigan. I mean, it's about as urban as it gets and it's a wonderful spot, which is kind of a shame if it has to move. 00:15:16 Speaker 5: It's a wonderful spot for people who like to go downtown and that's the only thing you're going to. And just nowadays, as we see stadiums being built, it is much more about what's around that stadium, and you're not going to be able to do that downtown. So in all the new places that are coming up, in the places that we've seen, point of even even just look here in La Sofi Stadium and what's built around around that. That's what that's now. 00:15:43 Speaker 1: They're building a row of restaurants and bars well up and down the street. 00:15:48 Speaker 2: At it from the perspective of the Chicago team, right in Chicago fans, what about if you're Indiana, you feel slighted a little bit or you just you're welcome, happy, you're happy. 00:15:58 Speaker 1: You have them. Is Jersey Field slided? 00:16:00 Speaker 2: You're not the Jersey feels like they're a part of New York. Well, you saw what Uncle Stevie's doing for the Mets. You know they want to build restaurants, casinos, hotels, all that stuff around City Field and Queens And that's that's like part of the bigger picture. Because if you don't know where the Mets play, City Field right next door used to be Shae Stadium. I don't know if you guys have ever been around that stadium were junk yards, like it is not like around around when Chase Stadium was just there. My dad used to try to park for free at like there was like chop shops. 00:16:33 Speaker 1: It is a gross area. 00:16:35 Speaker 2: So the fact that Steve Cohen's like, yeah, we're gonna put hotels restaurants, casinos. It makes sense for teams in the future to be like, all right, what can we do around this place? 00:16:45 Speaker 5: Yes, I didn't realize I've never been to Cityfield or Shay Stadium. I just when you land at JFK, you kind of drive through and then you see. 00:16:53 Speaker 1: All that is what the US Open is. 00:16:55 Speaker 2: And yeah, that LaGuardia Airport's there and it's city Field US Open And literally city Field was built next door to where Shaye Stadium was Shae Stadium. That is the parking lot now for city Field. So let's say hi to Steve in Chicago. Let's try to settle this with one phone call, even though the phones are hot. Let's let's talk to everyone. Your thoughts on the Bears. I'm trying to get I'm trying to get Steve Bartman on the line, Abe Frohman. All of our friends are good. Yeah, yeah, So if you want to call eight seven seven ninety nine on five, get Frank Thomas on the phone. I got him, love it, tut him to call off right now. Stevie, what's up? 00:17:30 Speaker 1: Steve? Hey, Steve, what's going on? 00:17:32 Speaker 10: Guys? 00:17:33 Speaker 1: Steven? Nothing burgers? Oh? 00:17:35 Speaker 2: Thanks man, nothing burger or a big deal. What are your thoughts and your friend's thoughts on the bears possible move. 00:17:42 Speaker 10: I just wanted to weigh in on a little drama that's going out with the City of Chicago and the Bears. Yeah, apparently Chicago still was over five hundred million dollars from the renovations from two thousand and three, and the Bears already paid up their obligations, and so Chicago's trying to stick the Bears with with that bill. 00:18:05 Speaker 2: So break it down for me everything you just said. I'm a little confused. So are you saying that the Bears are trying to say, like f you to the city of Chicago, we're moving, or is Chicago have they not done good bye the Bears? 00:18:17 Speaker 1: The Bears like we're out of here, Like what's give me? Bring? Give me the English here. 00:18:21 Speaker 10: Well, for the article that I've read is that the Bears want a new stadium, but Chicago don't have the funds to do it. 00:18:30 Speaker 1: Okay, there you go there and Indiana. 00:18:31 Speaker 2: It's like almost like saying you're asking your girlfriend to do something kinky and bed and she's like, no way, and some new girls like I'll do it. 00:18:37 Speaker 8: I think he said that the city didn't pay their share of the renovations, which I'm sure they were on the hook for much more than the actual Bears organization. 00:18:44 Speaker 2: And asked what they were hugely about yesterday and they were saying, you know, we were trying to keep this sort of quiet. They keep making this a public story and they're trying to figure things out again. We always compare it to relationships because it's true, but it really is like Indiana's like the new girl that's like, yeah, well, whatever you want to do, then you know, I'm. 00:19:01 Speaker 1: Whatever you want, where wherever you want. What do you tell me? 00:19:04 Speaker 2: Uh, let's go to John in South Carolina? Johnny Boy, what's up? 00:19:07 Speaker 11: Oh hey, how are you doing? Guys? 00:19:09 Speaker 1: What's up? 00:19:11 Speaker 11: Well, it's my sixty third birthday. 00:19:13 Speaker 2: Hey, happy birthday, buddy birthday. 00:19:20 Speaker 11: And the first thing I want to say, I have a couple of things to say, But the first thing I want to say is I don't know why you guys are so underrated when it comes to a duo in Sportscock Radio. I think I will take you guys over Rob Parker and Calvin Washington, all. 00:19:39 Speaker 1: Right, I mean I like those guys I know name some guys. 00:19:43 Speaker 2: I was gonna say, name some bes I hate. Yeah, tell me I'm better than someone. You give me some bunk show on piano than Weenie and the Butt. Yeah, tell me I'm better. Tell me I'm better than any show on other networks. 00:19:52 Speaker 11: Because I agree, I'm not going to say better than any of them. But you know I I love I love Marty and McGee ESPN, who's that. 00:20:05 Speaker 1: Marty Jeannetti, who's that who? And Willie mcgu Willie mcgu I love them. I love them. 00:20:10 Speaker 2: He doesn't have his radio turned down here, John, I love you. Have a good one brother. Birthday man, Happy birthday, and thanks for loving us. Appreciate it. Yeah, more than our friends. Next time you call John, turn your radio down, thank you. Not that means though he's like, I don't know why you guys underrated? I means some of his older pals be like, these guys stink, and he's fighting for us. 00:20:28 Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what. 00:20:29 Speaker 2: That's his impression of us is his old buddy's playing chess and feeding the pigeons, talking about how. 00:20:34 Speaker 1: Bad we are theres guys. Afternoon. 00:20:37 Speaker 2: That to you man for the ballooney, I think they shook. And then John's John's like, let me tell you that better than you think. Yeah, well, I appreciate that, John Man. His comment was complimentary. 00:20:48 Speaker 1: But if you really think John's waving his cane around as he compliments you guys. 00:20:52 Speaker 2: Sixty three, he's not ninety three, know what? But the way he said it, his friends hate us. 00:20:57 Speaker 1: But that is true. 00:20:57 Speaker 2: When someone's like, man, you guys are underrated, that means in his life someone has rated us poorly. 00:21:04 Speaker 1: That's like his wife or friends, or someone's like you listen, com on Rich again. 00:21:08 Speaker 2: I know it was meant to be a compliment, but that's how I took it. 00:21:12 Speaker 1: It's like Kavino, you know they're wrong about you. 00:21:13 Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks, I guess all right. You know what, We'll take all the rest of your feedback. The choice is yours. Guys joined the movement for cleaner movements and live a skid free life. Gotta live a skid fun That's why you stopped wearing white undies, right, but not anymore? Is everybody else living a skid full life? I don't care. Who are you from the Spartacus years? Are you from the Abe Lincoln era? Slip your game up? 00:22:33 Speaker 3: Man. 00:22:34 Speaker 2: Dude Wipes available at Amazon and major retailers nationwide. Dude wipes best clean pants down. Ooh some Chicago, huh? Iowa Sam our sound architect on the Ones and Twos Chicago, Bro, there's my jam right here. 00:22:58 Speaker 1: Do believe in you? And I know you believe in me. 00:23:04 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, thanks for believing in us. 00:23:07 Speaker 1: Fox Sports Radio Nations. 00:23:09 Speaker 2: What do you like Chicago when they're a little hornier, not like horny that way, like when they brow I love Later Chicago and Pete stas in there and he's extra horny. I mean they're extra mean. They're very trumpet based, like, but not all Chicago. 00:23:23 Speaker 1: That was a really good documentary. 00:23:25 Speaker 2: Yeah, I tell you, I like twenty four six and two Chicago era. But this is my jam. Feeling stronger every day. Cavino Enrich with Danny g Iowa Sam and Dan Bayer, who cares about Chicago. 00:23:38 Speaker 1: We're talking Indiana bears right Well, hold. 00:23:40 Speaker 2: On, I just Dan Byer was just showing me the layout. It really is like across the border. Yeah, he printed out a map quest that's weird. But I asked our buddy Drew Mack, who knows the area, and I asked him, would people in that Indiana area consider Chicago their city since it's so close. Or Indianapolis, the city he goes. The state is seventy five percent cults, but Northern Indiana so close to Chicago, they'd probably adopt THEMUG. 00:24:07 Speaker 1: Give you the analogy. 00:24:07 Speaker 2: If you live in South Jersey, it starts to go from I root for New York teams to I root for Philadelphia teams exactly like if you're from South Jersey, we have buddies from South Jersey. 00:24:18 Speaker 1: There's some it's like a line right like Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Like imaginary line, you know what I mean. Imagine every line like there's this. 00:24:25 Speaker 2: Is closer so you so that's your city. It may it makes sense, I get it. So when you really really think about it and break it down, when you see the layout, which I thank Dan Buyer for, yeah, it really. 00:24:38 Speaker 1: Does feel like not a big deal. You know what. It lounds like a big loss for Chicago. 00:24:44 Speaker 2: We are a line from the Fox Sports radio studio and again, Covido, I got to remind you to you can't be wiping with dry toilet paper. Got to make the switch, buddy boy to extra large, life changing fleshable dude wipes because wetter just cleans better available Amazon will major retailers nationwide. Dude wipes, how could you be feeling stronger every day? How could you actually have a great weekend if you're if you're if you're using a dry. 00:25:08 Speaker 1: Were you gonna say if I have a dirty tuckis? Yeah? Seriously, Yeah, it's good to put it. 00:25:12 Speaker 2: Hey, best clean pants down, dude wipes. Let's go to you guys. Let's say, how to Mitch in New Jersey talking about the Bears? The Bears Indiana? What are we thinking, Mitch? 00:25:21 Speaker 7: How are we doing? Yeah? Maybe maybe they're gonna do is to change their name. I mean, it's quite a move. I don't understand how these billionaires can't spook a little more or all of it, and how these cities and states, especially the cities can let the teams go. 00:25:37 Speaker 2: That's what we're posing. But the more we break it down, it's not that big of a deal. It is, but it isn't because it's so close to where the stadium already is. Dude, how about you go to Illina and I realized it was that close. Go to Illinois, grab some deep dish pizza and talk to AJ. 00:25:53 Speaker 1: What's up a hey? 00:25:54 Speaker 4: AJ? 00:25:55 Speaker 9: Hey, guys, thanks for taking my call. Love your show anytime. I'm near Peoria, Illinois, so kind of in the middle of the state, Bears country here we are. We are devastated at the news, but you know, Indiana's got a team already, right, But we we had the win taken out of our sales. I feel like with all this talk, we had a great season Caleb Williams, Luther burd and Colston Loveland. Just when we got momentum going in the right direction. I feel like it's kind of a roadblock. So very disappointing to hear that news. 00:26:28 Speaker 2: But AJ, this isn't like a Rams move to Saint Louis the fan base goes away. This is just sort of like, oh man, you're still Bears guy, right. 00:26:37 Speaker 9: Yeah, absolutely still a Bears guy. But the history right, yeah, Kago Bears not in Chicago. It just doesn't sound right, right, It doesn't resonate. 00:26:45 Speaker 1: The right way. I hear you, brother. Let's say hi to Patrick in Illinois. What's up Pat? What about Patrick? 00:26:50 Speaker 12: Hey, guys, I'm actually not real far from AJ and you guys. 00:26:56 Speaker 1: You guys can meet up for a lote later. 00:27:00 Speaker 9: I don't know if you guys know this or not. 00:27:02 Speaker 12: I'm surprised Iowa Sam doesn't. But there's actually a third state in play, because there's a bunch of Iowa lawmakers that are trying to secure funding for a stadium to try to bring the Chicago Bears to Iowa. 00:27:15 Speaker 1: See I did know about that. 00:27:17 Speaker 8: I just didn't want to bring it up because the idea of going three and a half to four hours west into Iowa and Okay, that's just to get to the border of Iowa and Illinois. 00:27:25 Speaker 1: And then if you're gonna like maybe build. 00:27:26 Speaker 8: A stadium for the Iowa Bears or the Chicago Bears in Des Moines, that's another hour and a half west. So they like the Iowa legislature, they put this out there and they're trying to lure the Bears to Iowa. 00:27:37 Speaker 1: But it's like even more unlikely than they're trying to get they're trying to get the Final Rows too. Geez. 00:27:43 Speaker 8: Yeah, So they're they're fine, but like I feel like that's a story that's way in the background because it's like it's almost impossible. 00:27:48 Speaker 1: It's like that's not gonna happen. Can they still be the Chicago Bears if they move that far We have a lot of Bears fans in Iowa. Why they want don't claim Chicago. I don't know. 00:27:56 Speaker 8: Ye're four and a half five hours from the actual state city of Chicago's how can you call yourself the Chicago Bears, Sami? 00:28:03 Speaker 1: Boy? If that were to happen, the Chicago Bears Iowa. 00:28:06 Speaker 2: But would you then be like, I'm Iowa Sam, I'm an Iowa Bears guy. 00:28:10 Speaker 1: Now, I've always been a Packers fan. 00:28:12 Speaker 2: I mean, if they were the if they were the iowas your Iowa said. 00:28:16 Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't know, it would be interesting. But I mean, would you be a traitor Bears and Packers arrivals? How can I how can I be a Bears fan? 00:28:24 Speaker 1: Uh? Yeah? One last one on this, Say hi to Ken in Missouri? Hey? Ken? What up? 00:28:28 Speaker 13: Ken? 00:28:28 Speaker 4: How you doing? 00:28:30 Speaker 9: Man? 00:28:30 Speaker 1: It's Friday? No complaints? 00:28:32 Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right. First, I gotta say I don't like Chicago, but. 00:28:36 Speaker 1: The band or the team, But yeah, what are we talking about here? Okay? 00:28:41 Speaker 4: Yeah, but there's a Raiders fan. I can relate to what they're going through. Man, I've been Raiders since Blando was there. I hated when they left Oakland went to the stink in l A love going back to Oakland. Now they're in Las Vegas. I still got my Raiders stuff. 00:29:00 Speaker 2: I'm by the way, And being that you're a Raiders fan, I can only imagine while they are in Vegas might not be your choice. You gotta be pumped about where you're going now, right, Canademy with Mendoza, Tom Brady sort of helping run things like your team feels like it's gonna be a good little run now for the Raiders hopefully. 00:29:16 Speaker 4: Right, there's potential. 00:29:18 Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, we're crying about all these things not making sense, and like the Lakers are called the Lakers and it makes no sense, but we roll with it because time passes and you just accept it. 00:29:30 Speaker 1: They're from Minneapolis, Minnesota. 00:29:31 Speaker 2: It's not named after Lake Balboa exactly, you know what I mean, No sense, same. 00:29:37 Speaker 1: Joke we always hear about the Utah jazz. It just it's just it's, as Pearl Jam said in the nineties. 00:29:43 Speaker 7: Is evolution. 00:29:44 Speaker 2: Baby, they're just going across the board. You're telling that big of a deal. You're telling me in Utah Mormons don't play the trump. 00:29:51 Speaker 8: There's no jazz clubs in Saltlake City. 00:29:55 Speaker 2: My point was though, you know, if they're in Indiana, whoo, but he do if they end up in Iowa and call themselves the bet Chicago Bears. Still, it's not like we haven't seen these things that don't make sense before. In time, it all becomes whatever I had to explain to my kids. I explained to my kids ponyball team at practice the other day, where the with the Mets, with the Shetland Mets, And like, Coach Rich, what's a met I'm like a metropolitan? 00:30:21 Speaker 1: Like what's that? I'm like, I don't know what you call a city? 00:30:23 Speaker 2: Folk like, it's like we just so willy nilly, just roll with team names m hm and people just you know, we adjust, You get used to it, you adjust. We're resilient guys. It'll be okay. I know it does suck for Chicago though, but I'd have to say this, Chicago, step your game up. 00:30:39 Speaker 1: Maybe it's a reality check. 00:30:40 Speaker 5: Here's the other funny thing about this was when the Bears were wanting to go to Arlington Heights leaving downtown. The outrage was, how could this team leave downtown? Why would you want to go out in the suburbs? And the Bears said that fifty percent of their season ticket holders were from would be closer to that facility than say, going downtown. That's something that you could say, Okay, you know what, it's maybe better for our fans, and there's gonna be stuff around it. But this is just the Bears trying to get the better deal and trying to get more of a break from the state. Yes, and so that's probably what rubs people the wrong way, Even if it would be a shorter drive from where they currently play at Soldier Field to where the Indiana Stadium is as opposed to the one they could have had out in Arlington nights, it's more of the I think what it represents with the team trying to get the good deal instead of taking care of their fans. 00:31:33 Speaker 2: I mean, oddly enough, while Soldier Field is a legendary spot, you'd argue one of the more legendary old school stadiums. I think Chicago. It's I think Cubbies anyway, that's that to me. You go to Chicago, the Cubby Bear, all the bars, Wrigly's the attraction. 00:31:52 Speaker 1: Yes, everyone's a Bears. 00:31:53 Speaker 2: Fan, but it's not like they're, you know, moving from Wrigley the Cubbies. 00:31:58 Speaker 1: It's Soldier Field was built in twenty four. Yeah, that's true. But the renovation, Yeah. 00:32:05 Speaker 2: Put the one flying saucer toilet renovated in yeah, two thousand and two, I think early two thousands. 00:32:12 Speaker 1: Well, now that we got dB, let's get an UPDATEDMN by what's going on? To my friends? 00:32:15 Speaker 5: I've never been to a game in the renovator, but I was it the old one. I was at the before the renovation. 00:32:20 Speaker 2: I guarantee they probably they probably had truughs in the men's room every old stadium with their trups. 00:32:26 Speaker 5: I just remember that the concourses were very narrow. 00:32:30 Speaker 1: Do you want to know a little bit of history. I don't know if I've ever told you this. 00:32:35 Speaker 5: It was the second game the Carolina Panthers ever played. It was a preseason game, and the Panthers and Jaguars, because there were new teams opened up in the Hall of Fame, game against each other. But then the next week the Panthers played the Bears in Chicago. It was early August. I was, yeah, that's that's the only time I've been to the Soldier Field and not to the renovated one. I think that's an answer in and of itself. 00:38:22 Speaker 1: How do I say this? 00:38:24 Speaker 13: Winning a medal at the Olympics is a life changing experience for every athlete. Doing it five times is exponentially harder, because every medal is equally hard for me, but everybody else's expectations rise, right, and so the two medals lost situation. To be quite frank with you, I think is kind of a ridiculous perspective to take. You know what, I showcasing my best skiing. I'm doing things that quite literally have never been done before, and so I think that is more than good enough. 00:38:55 Speaker 1: Thank you, yo. If she is the most decorated, I do love the laugh. It's it's it's. 00:39:01 Speaker 2: Like when Tom Brady laughed at that guy for calling him out on his jacket. 00:39:04 Speaker 1: My favorite was his hair. 00:39:06 Speaker 2: He was it's it's me and you that remember this more than anyone else. We called the tom Brady laugh. Did Gizelle pick that out? And tom Brady gave up. 00:39:34 Speaker 1: He gave. 00:39:38 Speaker 2: Like a like a you're like almost like I'm Tom Brady, You slob are questioning what I'm wearing. That's why I feel like II Leen goo was sounded like give me her laugh again. I'm the most decorated Olympian ever, you clown. 00:39:54 Speaker 1: That is very condescending sounding. 00:39:56 Speaker 2: He did ask like are they two golds lost or two silvers? 00:40:00 Speaker 1: Yeah, the question's a little loaded. It's not a fair question because people are always looking for the sound. 00:40:04 Speaker 2: Would you blame her for competing for China when she's making so much money to do it? 00:40:10 Speaker 1: No, she's playing by the rules. 00:40:11 Speaker 2: This wasn't Sam's Midweek major yesterday if you missed it, catching on the podcast, And you know, I stand by what I said. The rules are there for a reason, like it just requires what one parent to be a citizen. Yeah, and you know what, we'll be seeing that in the WBC next month. 00:40:28 Speaker 1: Aileen gou Alyssa Lou what you're gonna do? 00:40:32 Speaker 2: Like just a lot of fun Olympians this year. We talked about it yesterday. If you missed it, it's on the pod. But coming up we are gonna play Brainwave, Brainwave, Sweeping the nation. Yeah, it's slowly become my favorite game we play. I do love Last One Standing on Mondays, I do love Our Tyson or Mahomes Trivia. But I will say Brainwave has become a fan favorite. It's a matter of can you be on our brainwave? I find it so difficult not to see spoilers. 00:41:16 Speaker 1: For Love Is Blind? Does everyone have you like that kid Chris? I want to hear it. 00:41:21 Speaker 2: But what I'm saying is that Chris might be the biggest villain of all time. 00:41:25 Speaker 1: I don't know. 00:41:25 Speaker 2: I have a job, I have two little kids, and I still try to watch it in an episode or so at night. 00:41:30 Speaker 1: Rich let me tell you about episode seven. 00:41:32 Speaker 2: But no, but let me tell you, does everyone it's hard. 00:41:37 Speaker 1: You have to stay off Instagram, for sure. 00:41:39 Speaker 2: But what I'm saying, is everyone is just so quick to watch, like, oh, five new episodes yesterday.
