Will Kyle Schwarber's free agency be drawn out? And how should the Phillies respond if so? And as a follow up, this is from Pan Martin on Facebook. Kind of related, Let's hear your guesses of the Big three Schwarber, JT, Rangers, Suarez, who signs first, no matter where? And when will it be?

Kyle Tucker, I think he's going to go for the last dollar because he has got a chance to move the market, and so I think that they may affect each other moderate. I do think before Christmas we will know on Kyle Schwarber, you toadd.

Then I think it'll be Kyle, and then I think, deep, deep, deep into the winter, we could get an answer and Ranger Suarez and unless somebody absolutely goes bananas and says we have to have this guy and make a monster offer, what do you hear?

Speaker 5: Like if they do what they did with Jason Worth, where a team goes literally bonkers because they were no one was even close in that day when he got what one hundred and twenty five million or whatever it was, you know, Boris isn't going to jump bars knew that that that that was going to be a number that was way beyond everybody else. So so they made the move there with Washington back then. I don't see that happen with Rangers, sware thing it's gonna be way drawn out. I think Rangers going to sign in like March, and I think JT is going to be the first and I think Kyle's going to be the next one.

And I don't think SWAR is going to be terribly drawn out either. I think both of them like it here and have unfinished business here. And I think that the organization wants both of them back and realizes it's going to have to do something to you know, get him and get him back quick and and move on and address other needs.

Speaker 2: You know, it's funny, Rubin, I've been thinking about this a lot. I feel the same thing I think. If they don't bring back JT. I don't like any of the options in free agency, and I don't know if I want to make a big trade. Adley Rushman might be great, but it's gonna cost you a ton and I don't like that. So I might just go with Marshawn and like you said, maybe like a solid number two guy who maybe could elevate into a number one spot if Marshawn gets hurt because he is injury prone, and I might go that direction and save those bullets, save those prospects, and save that cash for somewhere else on the roster.

I think they'd be willing to Marsh, same thing with Marsh And yeah, you're gonna be protective of Painter, You're gonna be protective of Miller, but you know, a run Escobar could be a guy that you know, he's farther away, but he's apparently a hell of a talent. Dante Nori could be available. There's some guys on that top ten list. I think they'd dig into beyond the top couple.

Jim you first mentioned last week that the Phillies had expressed interest in Don Manningly to be the Phillies bench coach.

Speaker 4: Yeah, he's the guy they want. It sounds like it's in his the balls in his court. I don't know how long they're gonna wait, because you do want to assemble your staff. But I don't think if he says yes to the Phillies, I don't think it puts undue pressure on Rob for simple reasons.

Speaker 4: He's pretty secure guy, pretty secure in his own skin. This is the guy who considered retirement a few years ago. Kind of look at this as you know, almost gravy for him, you know, staying on and continue to chase a world series dream with the Fes. So I don't think he'd be threatened at all. I think he'd welcome the uh, the support. I think he's got a good rapport with manning Lee dating to their time in the Yankees, on the Yankees staff and that organization, and you know, Dombrowski came out and said they were looking for big league experience, managerially experienced experience. He's managed two teams. Beyond that, he's got a lot of playing experience. And I think that would play well in the clubhouse because there's a kind of a dearth of big league playing experience on that staff. So I think it would maybe create more of a well rounded staff. But we'll see if Don Manningley says yes he I read that story on MLB dot com last week where he he wasn't sure that he wanted to be on the road quite as much. Well, you know, if he's not doesn't want to be on the road. Being a bench coach is not necessarily a job for you because you're gonna be back on the road. But I think there's a lot of things that would be attractive to him here, including his son.

So, after talking through all the trade candidates, free agent signings, potential minor league call ops, who is the single biggest difference maker you think the Phillies will realistically add to the big league roster in the twenty twenty sixth season. Realistically, realistically, I don't know. How realistic Bobaschett is or ale Fregman is depends on your point of view. I guess I think it's realistic that they could sign them. I guess does that mean realistically mean most likely?

But if you kind of look at this where if if they could move a ball, that'd be like a ten million dollar savings if they could move a stop. I'm not in a hurry to move them, but I'm just saying, if that could be like a seven million dollars save, they're bringing back Alvarado thunder from the left side, maybe that puts a guy like Matt Strom in play.

Then it becomes up to ownership, as they have done in the past, to react to a particular opportunity and inch it forward or nudge the payroll forward and try to make that opportunity happen. They can give him ten year, ten ten million in the first year and you know, twenty five in the next three or whatever something like that, you know.
