Oh! That’s a Bigfoot! - My Bigfoot Sighting Episode 201

My Bigfoot Sighting

When tonight’s guest was a little girl her 5 older brothers are the reason why she used to spend so much time in the woods. Due to how they treated her, she used to spend inordinate amounts of time hiding in the woods, in places where they couldn’t follow, because she was afraid of them. A lot of times, she wouldn’t go back home until after dark. While she was spending all that time out there, she had some interesting experiences, experiences with Sasquatch. We hope you’ll tune in and listen to her share those experiences and experiences she had with something else on tonight’s show.

<v Speaker 1>Hey, you there, thanks for tuning in.
<v Speaker 2>You're ready for another episode of my big Foot Sighting.
<v Speaker 3>All right, then let's do this.
<v Speaker 4>Seen a bunch of run down, no horse towns where
<v Speaker 4>the church at the backbone, laws and the bow and
<v Speaker 4>the fasting melodies cove in with the bomb man rose
<v Speaker 4>with the roofs, run deep beyond the nose of the
<v Speaker 4>busy streets with the songs.
<v Speaker 3>Of the South of Su.
<v Speaker 4>Then when I hear the promp porch picking down home
<v Speaker 4>rhythm bringing out I Don't run from Banjung music.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, if you've had a bigfoot sighting and I would
<v Speaker 3>like to be a guest, please go to my Bigfoot
<v Speaker 3>Sighting dot com and let me know.
<v Speaker 1>Bigfoot sightings began in the seventies. Hi, my nickname is six.
<v Speaker 1>That's because I had five older brothers growing up and
<v Speaker 1>I came along and I was number six. I also
<v Speaker 1>did have three older sisters, but they grew up and
<v Speaker 1>moved out before I came along. And later in life
<v Speaker 1>I had what I called my second family and I
<v Speaker 1>got three more brothers. But six is what stuck for
<v Speaker 1>many many years, and lots of people don't know that
<v Speaker 1>about me. Also, just side note, I'm an enneagram six,
<v Speaker 1>and so later in life people started calling me six.
<v Speaker 1>From that it's a personality test. It just means I'm
<v Speaker 1>a loyalist, I'm prepared, I don't back down. And anyway,
<v Speaker 1>that's that's kind of a story of six. But the
<v Speaker 1>reason it's important is because those five older brothers, they
<v Speaker 1>are what kind of launched me into the woods. I
<v Speaker 1>grew up in a gang family. It was pretty dysfunctional
<v Speaker 1>and it was filled with all kinds of bad things.
<v Speaker 1>And as related to gangs, bad people came around too,
<v Speaker 1>And as a seven year old, I would take off
<v Speaker 1>to the woods. I would hear the motorcycles roll up,
<v Speaker 1>or I would hear the music start in the basement,
<v Speaker 1>and I knew. I knew to take off and go hide,
<v Speaker 1>and that meant the woods. So here's what's interesting about
<v Speaker 1>the woods that I grew up in.
<v Speaker 2>It was a bog.
<v Speaker 1>So I would run out into those woods and I'd
<v Speaker 1>hit that bog and it's like just this floating carpet
<v Speaker 1>of moss, and my brothers and their friends, I guess
<v Speaker 1>you would call them couldn't chase me there.
<v Speaker 2>They fell through.
<v Speaker 1>But I was little, and so I would hit that
<v Speaker 1>bog and I knew I was safe, and often I
<v Speaker 1>had to lay there, sometimes well into the night, until
<v Speaker 1>I knew it was safe enough to go back home,
<v Speaker 1>sneak into the house and find a place to hide there.
<v Speaker 1>And this bog at this time was actually in Michigan,
<v Speaker 1>and it's where I had my very first encounter. I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't sure what I was seeing. I was just laying
<v Speaker 1>I remember it vividly. I was laying on my left side,
<v Speaker 1>curled up on this floating mat of moss, and darkness
<v Speaker 1>was just starting to kind of hit the woods. The
<v Speaker 1>sun was just going down, and I heard before I saw,
<v Speaker 1>I heard this terrible crashing sounds, and I honestly thought
<v Speaker 1>it was my brother's somehow coming through the woods at me.
<v Speaker 1>And I kind of looked over to where the sound
<v Speaker 1>was coming from, and I saw this cedar tree straight
<v Speaker 1>up and down, not bent over, not falling over, none
<v Speaker 1>of that, but this cedar tree just moving through the woods,
<v Speaker 1>like straight up and down through the woods, and I
<v Speaker 1>could kind of see through the brush area. Now, remember
<v Speaker 1>I'm laying on this bug, I'm laying on this floating moss,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm just barely kind of able to look through
<v Speaker 1>the underbrush on the other side of the swamp, and
<v Speaker 1>all I could see was a form, and I was like,
<v Speaker 1>is that a bear?
<v Speaker 2>Can a bear do that?
<v Speaker 1>Like? Can a bear pick up a tree and carry
<v Speaker 1>it upright through the woods?
<v Speaker 2>I was seven.
<v Speaker 1>I had no idea like what was going on, but
<v Speaker 1>I could see the outline. I could see the shadow
<v Speaker 1>of something enormous and dark, and in my seven year
<v Speaker 1>old brain, I assumed it was a bear or it
<v Speaker 1>was a monster. I didn't know about Bigfoot then, but
<v Speaker 1>I knew what I saw. And I saw that tree
<v Speaker 1>moving through the forest straight up and down, and I
<v Speaker 1>was scared. But I had to kind of decide in
<v Speaker 1>that moment what I was most scared of was I'm
<v Speaker 1>most scared of something I couldn't identify moving through the
<v Speaker 1>forest in an incredible way that was like kind of
<v Speaker 1>far away from me. So I didn't really feel like
<v Speaker 1>danger or was I more afraid of going back home
<v Speaker 1>to where trauma would happen.
<v Speaker 2>So I just watched.
<v Speaker 1>I laid there and I just watched that tree and
<v Speaker 1>that very large dark form move it, crash it through
<v Speaker 1>my woods, through the woods, and after it was gone,
<v Speaker 1>I got up and I snuck back into the house.
<v Speaker 1>But that was my very first what I know now
<v Speaker 1>as my encounter.
<v Speaker 2>And when I.
<v Speaker 1>The next day, when I got to talk to my brothers,
<v Speaker 1>one of them said, oh, that's a bigfoot. And I
<v Speaker 1>didn't even really know what a bigfoot was, but he
<v Speaker 1>spoke it as if he really knew what one was
<v Speaker 1>and believed, and so I believed him, and I just
<v Speaker 1>started telling people like in my school, that I had
<v Speaker 1>a big foot in my woods. And then one of
<v Speaker 1>my other encounters shortly after that happened. That happened a lot.
<v Speaker 1>That happened a lot, not the tree itself, but me
<v Speaker 1>running to the woods, laying on this bug to be safe,
<v Speaker 1>and then seeing something walk through the woods, seeing something
<v Speaker 1>or hearing something. And I would later learn like I
<v Speaker 1>was hearing wood knocks or howls or grunts or screams
<v Speaker 1>or whoops as a kid, like I said, I didn't
<v Speaker 1>even really know. I didn't even really know what those were.
<v Speaker 1>And I never at that point actually got to see
<v Speaker 1>this being, this creature face to face or up close.
<v Speaker 1>I only ever saw when I was laying on the bog,
<v Speaker 1>like the motion of it, the form of it, usually
<v Speaker 1>at a distance, I just knew it was huge. But
<v Speaker 1>then the second occurrence started happening, same home. I would
<v Speaker 1>come home from work or not work, I would come
<v Speaker 1>home from.
<v Speaker 2>School and.
<v Speaker 1>I just felt like something was watching me from the woods.
<v Speaker 1>So our home was on a dead end street, and
<v Speaker 1>it had like the metal barrier at the end of
<v Speaker 1>that dead end, so that car just didn't, you know,
<v Speaker 1>run off into the woods. At the edge, there was
<v Speaker 1>a trail, and next to the trail, and that's the
<v Speaker 1>trail I always took when I h tailed it to
<v Speaker 1>the bog. But next to the trail was our shed.
<v Speaker 1>And I started getting off the school bus dropped us
<v Speaker 1>off right there at that corner of our house in
<v Speaker 1>the dead end, and I would get off the school
<v Speaker 1>bus and I was literally a latch key kid, So
<v Speaker 1>I had a string around my neck with the key
<v Speaker 1>on it, and I came in to you know, just
<v Speaker 1>let myself in. Oftentimes, if I saw motorcycles in the
<v Speaker 1>driveway or I heard music coming from the house, I
<v Speaker 1>would go be by that shed. I would just go
<v Speaker 1>hide out by that shed and that trail. But this
<v Speaker 1>this is when, like I said, this kind of started
<v Speaker 1>happening after I had my experiences on the bug I
<v Speaker 1>would feel like something was watching me when I got
<v Speaker 1>off the school bus, and I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I was a kid.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't think too much about it, but it kind
<v Speaker 1>of creaked me out a little bit. But I started
<v Speaker 1>looking as I came around the corner of the house.
<v Speaker 1>I would always look towards the corner of that shed
<v Speaker 1>where I would go hide, and that trail, And one
<v Speaker 1>day I stopped dead in my tracks because standing there
<v Speaker 1>at the edge of the shed, just outside the woods
<v Speaker 1>edge was something I had never seen before, and I
<v Speaker 1>only knew to call it a monster.
<v Speaker 2>It was.
<v Speaker 1>Well, like I said, I was a kid, so it
<v Speaker 1>seemed enormous. It seemed like it was twenty feet tall.
<v Speaker 1>Now with perspective as an adult looking back, I can
<v Speaker 1>say it was probably eight, maybe nine, maybe even ten
<v Speaker 1>feet tall, and it was very dark, not black, but
<v Speaker 1>like a dark charcoal, and hanging from it was hair
<v Speaker 1>that also, as an adult now, reminds me of Spanish moss,
<v Speaker 1>like when you see that hanging from the trees. It
<v Speaker 1>didn't look like moss, but it hung like that from
<v Speaker 1>this creature, from its kind of curved bent legs and
<v Speaker 1>from its arms, and as soon as it would make
<v Speaker 1>eye contact with me, it would turn and take off
<v Speaker 1>into the woods, or as soon as I would see it,
<v Speaker 1>it would turn and take off into the woods. But
<v Speaker 1>it was like it was making a point for me
<v Speaker 1>to see it. And that's when I started being afraid
<v Speaker 1>to go into the woods. And I didn't like that.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't like that at all because the woods was
<v Speaker 1>my safe place. The woods was where I ran to
<v Speaker 1>to be safe. And whatever this new creature was that
<v Speaker 1>I saw, I can remember on three occasions in elementary
<v Speaker 1>school seeing this very vividly. That's when I started getting
<v Speaker 1>in agreement with what some of my brothers said that
<v Speaker 1>there were monsters and monsters were real, So I started
<v Speaker 1>to ident I didn't know what it was, but I
<v Speaker 1>didn't identify it as bigfoot, because bigfoot, to me, I
<v Speaker 1>never felt afraid. Maybe I should have, but I never did.
<v Speaker 1>But this one I began to feel fear. And that
<v Speaker 1>was like my early childhood. Then what I call like
<v Speaker 1>my second kind of timeline of encounters was more in
<v Speaker 1>my teen years. So my mom passed away a week
<v Speaker 1>before my tenth birthday, and when she passed away, my
<v Speaker 1>stepdad brought me home from the funeral threw two black
<v Speaker 1>garbage bags at me and said, go in your room,
<v Speaker 1>pack your things, and go sit on the front porch.
<v Speaker 1>Your dad is coming to get you. You're going to
<v Speaker 1>go live with him. I didn't know what to pack,
<v Speaker 1>so I just threw a few things in these black
<v Speaker 1>garbage bags and I went and sat on the front
<v Speaker 1>porch and I waited.
<v Speaker 2>Now, my dad.
<v Speaker 1>And his new wife, and my three new brothers, they were,
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to say they were afraid of me,
<v Speaker 1>but they knew my upbringing. They knew the family I
<v Speaker 1>lived in, they knew the dysfunction, they knew the trauma
<v Speaker 1>I had lived through. And so when I moved with them,
<v Speaker 1>Dad immediately began making plans to move us away from
<v Speaker 1>the city and more out into the country. And so
<v Speaker 1>we moved to northern Michigan. Lived in the middle of nowhere, really,
<v Speaker 1>And what I found interesting, though, was we owned ten
<v Speaker 1>acres and the woods were mostly bobbed, and it felt
<v Speaker 1>like a new safe place. So my dad also was
<v Speaker 1>an outdoorsman and a hunter, and he had several deer
<v Speaker 1>blinds on the property, and back in the day, those
<v Speaker 1>deer blinds were literally just made from fallen trees, and
<v Speaker 1>limbs that were broken off and things like that. None
<v Speaker 1>that this new, you know, like go buy a cameo blind.
<v Speaker 1>It was just stuff we built and made with fallen limbs.
<v Speaker 1>And often I would run to the edge of the
<v Speaker 1>blog and lay in his deer blind because I didn't
<v Speaker 1>necessarily have people chasing me out onto that bog. Now
<v Speaker 1>I didn't need to be on that bog, But I
<v Speaker 1>went there for years as a teen, just going out
<v Speaker 1>into the woods, into our swamp and laying there in
<v Speaker 1>his deer blinds and feeling a sense of safety because
<v Speaker 1>even though this was a new home, it still came
<v Speaker 1>with its own set of problems and dysfunction, and I
<v Speaker 1>often again had to run to the woods to seek
<v Speaker 1>my safety. And it was here that I started having
<v Speaker 1>other encounters again, this time with again the bigfoot what
<v Speaker 1>I knew.
<v Speaker 2>To call bigfoot.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing in my face, nothing up close, nothing anything that
<v Speaker 1>I could say, Wow, this guy was right next to me,
<v Speaker 1>and I saw him exactly. But they were always the sounds.
<v Speaker 1>They were always the tree knocking, they were always the whoops,
<v Speaker 1>they were always the.
<v Speaker 2>Howls and that kind of thing.
<v Speaker 1>And then the shadows moving through the trees, sometimes not
<v Speaker 1>just shadows. Sometimes it was very evident that this was
<v Speaker 1>a very large creature. And now I'm a teenager, so
<v Speaker 1>I could identify it more as like, wow, this is
<v Speaker 1>probably an eight foot nine foot ten foot thing, and
<v Speaker 1>that is not a bear. Like we lived in northern Michigan,
<v Speaker 1>I knew what black bear were. We had encounters with
<v Speaker 1>black bear, and that was not a black bear. And
<v Speaker 1>so I started seeing them more as a teen, but
<v Speaker 1>again never anything just up close and in my face,
<v Speaker 1>so to speak. And this kind of continued. So that
<v Speaker 1>was my early years. But then in my twenties and
<v Speaker 1>my thirties, I was married my first husband, and I
<v Speaker 1>moved to North Carolina and we were right next to
<v Speaker 1>the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway, and I often spent my
<v Speaker 1>weekends up there.
<v Speaker 2>I would take the kids up there. We would hit
<v Speaker 2>the trails, and.
<v Speaker 1>There was trouble and trauma within that marriage. So the
<v Speaker 1>woods again became my escape. They became my safe place
<v Speaker 1>to go, and that's where I started having other encounters
<v Speaker 1>again just like I did as a teen, just like
<v Speaker 1>I did as a kid. Like I would find places
<v Speaker 1>to sit that I loved down the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway.
<v Speaker 1>In fact, there's a place there called the Orchard Alta Pass,
<v Speaker 1>and there's a train that comes through the mountains and
<v Speaker 1>it sounds like ghosts as the whistles blow coming through
<v Speaker 1>that tunnel. And if you sit there at that orchard
<v Speaker 1>and you hear that sound, it is eerie and haunting.
<v Speaker 1>And they say it's of the ghosts of the men
<v Speaker 1>who built that pass through the mountain. But that was
<v Speaker 1>my first encounter during this time of my life, sitting
<v Speaker 1>there listening to that train, which are I love. But
<v Speaker 1>then I also heard coyotes, and the coyotes were going crazy,
<v Speaker 1>and within the coyotes came another sound and it stopped
<v Speaker 1>me literally in my tracks because I was hiking, and
<v Speaker 1>I went back to my childhood, and I said, these
<v Speaker 1>are the sounds I heard from Bigfoot.
<v Speaker 2>There was something different.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't a coyote yip, it wasn't a coyote howl,
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't a chorus of coyotes.
<v Speaker 2>It was.
<v Speaker 1>I don't I don't even know how to describe it.
<v Speaker 1>But it was a sound similar and yet unlike. And
<v Speaker 1>I just knew, I just knew that I was among
<v Speaker 1>Bigfoot again, and so I would go back to that
<v Speaker 1>place the Orchard alta pass on the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway,
<v Speaker 1>and I would sit at that overlook, or I would
<v Speaker 1>hike one of those trails and get the glimpses, only
<v Speaker 1>the glimpses again, and I never really understood why I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't getting full on, in your face sightings. I was
<v Speaker 1>kind of grateful because now I'm an adult and I
<v Speaker 1>realized this could also be dangerous. But I often wondered why,
<v Speaker 1>why did and why also were all of my encounters
<v Speaker 1>around trauma, like trauma as a child and trauma as
<v Speaker 1>a young wife, And it just seemed like, I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>I just it just made me wonder why that was
<v Speaker 1>why I or that was when I always had these encounters.
<v Speaker 1>So then kind of fast forward into my later years,
<v Speaker 1>my thirties, my forties, and I'm married for the second time.
<v Speaker 1>My kids are grown, and we live on a homestead
<v Speaker 1>in Missouri, one hundred and thirty acres that's all ours
<v Speaker 1>and my father in law. We homesteaded with my in laws,
<v Speaker 1>so my mother and my father in law also lived
<v Speaker 1>there up on the land as we built our homestead,
<v Speaker 1>and my father in law used to always say, beware
<v Speaker 1>of the shape shifters, Like he didn't ever say Bigfoot,
<v Speaker 1>he didn't say sasquatch. He always said just beware of
<v Speaker 1>the shape shifters. And in fact, he would kind of
<v Speaker 1>make fun with like ups and FedEx and the guys
<v Speaker 1>who would come up to do deliveries and kind of
<v Speaker 1>scare them off and be like, you don't want to
<v Speaker 1>come up here, You don't want to come up here
<v Speaker 1>on this hill and this one hundred and thirty acres
<v Speaker 1>of shape shifters up here. And so one day I
<v Speaker 1>was standing out on the front porch of the main homestead,
<v Speaker 1>which is where my mother and father in law lived,
<v Speaker 1>and I heard crashing through the woods again, crashing, and
<v Speaker 1>I turned around and I opened up the door and
<v Speaker 1>I called to my father in law and I said,
<v Speaker 1>come out here, there's something coming through the woods. And
<v Speaker 1>he went out on the front porch with me, and
<v Speaker 1>he said, oh, that's the shape shifter.
<v Speaker 2>And I looked at.
<v Speaker 1>Him, and then he laughed and he kind of hit
<v Speaker 1>me in the arm, like, oh, I'm just joking, like
<v Speaker 1>he didn't want to scare me. But I felt like
<v Speaker 1>he truly believed, like he didn't want to really come
<v Speaker 1>clean about it because it was so far out there,
<v Speaker 1>but he didn't know what else to call it. He
<v Speaker 1>didn't know how to identify it. But we could see
<v Speaker 1>a shape moving through our trees and just crashing them
<v Speaker 1>down as it was moving through. So I began paying
<v Speaker 1>attention to noises that I heard on one hundred and
<v Speaker 1>thirty acres. My husband at that time, my second husband,
<v Speaker 1>also didn't go down into the woods with me much,
<v Speaker 1>but still the woods were my safe place, and I
<v Speaker 1>was also now in a time of trauma, and I
<v Speaker 1>needed another safe place to be, and so I took
<v Speaker 1>off to the woods. We also had horses, and we
<v Speaker 1>had a horse field, and I would watch the coyotes
<v Speaker 1>come out of the woods and cross that horse field,
<v Speaker 1>making their noises, being crazy like coyotes do, yip in.
<v Speaker 1>And I started paying attention because there was that sound again,
<v Speaker 1>that other sound that was within the coyote pack that
<v Speaker 1>just sounded different. And so when I would hear the coyotes,
<v Speaker 1>I would either run to the edge of the horse
<v Speaker 1>field or I would run out onto the porch and
<v Speaker 1>I would just look and I would scan, and I
<v Speaker 1>began seeing the form of what my father in law
<v Speaker 1>called the shape shifter, but it was bigfoot running the
<v Speaker 1>edge of the woods, not coming across the field like
<v Speaker 1>the coyotes did, but still running in pattern with them
<v Speaker 1>along the edge of the woods. And I called my
<v Speaker 1>second husband out there onto the porch with me one time,
<v Speaker 1>and he was like, that's just shadows. You're seeing something odd.
<v Speaker 1>That's just a shadow. That's just something odd, and he
<v Speaker 1>tried to just kind of play it off, but I
<v Speaker 1>knew in my heart of heart, so that's what I
<v Speaker 1>was seeing.
<v Speaker 2>Again.
<v Speaker 1>So we're building our home at this point and living
<v Speaker 1>in a motor home, and I had a puppy that
<v Speaker 1>was half German Shepherd, half Roddy, a black German Shepherd
<v Speaker 1>German Shepherd and a rought wild mix. And her name
<v Speaker 1>was Molly, and Molly was my job. My husband wanted
<v Speaker 1>nothing to do with the job of Molly, so at night,
<v Speaker 1>before I settled down for the evening, I would take
<v Speaker 1>Molly to the edge of the woods to go do
<v Speaker 1>her business. And it was out there for the first
<v Speaker 1>time that I had it was literally, I literally in
<v Speaker 1>my face encounter. It scared me so bad in that
<v Speaker 1>moment that I didn't really realize it until I was
<v Speaker 1>later thinking about it. If that makes any sense at all.
<v Speaker 1>But I was walking Molly along the edge of the
<v Speaker 1>woods and it was dark, and we, like I said,
<v Speaker 1>we lived in the middle of nowhere, and we didn't
<v Speaker 1>have like these big porch lights, and we didn't have
<v Speaker 1>the lights that came on at night. We had dark.
<v Speaker 1>We had dark, and we had stars. And I knew
<v Speaker 1>every inch of that place. And I didn't go out
<v Speaker 1>there with a flashlight or my cell phone or anything
<v Speaker 1>like that. I just took her to the edge of
<v Speaker 1>the woods. And as I was standing there waiting for
<v Speaker 1>her while she was doing her business, all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>I'm standing with my back towards where our motor home
<v Speaker 1>was in a field, and my face is facing the
<v Speaker 1>woods and my toes literally at the edge of the woods,
<v Speaker 1>and Molly's just kind of running around me on her leash,
<v Speaker 1>looking for her place. And standing there, I heard the
<v Speaker 1>most terrifying sound I have ever heard in my life.
<v Speaker 1>And I only know how to describe it as like
<v Speaker 1>multiple sounds all at once, like.
<v Speaker 2>The scream.
<v Speaker 1>Of something killing something that was also screaming, like I
<v Speaker 1>just don't know how else to describe it. It was
<v Speaker 1>so loud and so in my face, and I turned
<v Speaker 1>and I don't even know how Molly got back to
<v Speaker 1>the more home with me.
<v Speaker 2>I really don't.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if that puppy became a kite and
<v Speaker 1>was just flying behind me on the end of her leash,
<v Speaker 1>or if she was running with me.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. I tripped, I fell.
<v Speaker 1>I was this muddy, huge mess scrambling to get up
<v Speaker 1>and just get back to the motorhome. And as I fell,
<v Speaker 1>I kind of turned and looked again, and that is
<v Speaker 1>when I saw exactly what was screaming at me. I
<v Speaker 1>didn't I didn't have because it was pitch black. I
<v Speaker 1>didn't have super good clarity. But I now, in my
<v Speaker 1>mind's eye see exactly what screamed at me when my
<v Speaker 1>feet were at the edge of the woods. I can
<v Speaker 1>see the glow of the eyes that I didn't see
<v Speaker 1>when I was standing there being screamed at. I can
<v Speaker 1>see the shape. I can see the long hair, I
<v Speaker 1>can see the height. I can see the width of it.
<v Speaker 1>And I think that's what was most impressive to me,
<v Speaker 1>was the width of it. Not so much the height,
<v Speaker 1>but the width, the broadness of this this being, this
<v Speaker 1>the shoulders, the chest, even the hips. I can see
<v Speaker 1>it as clear as day now, and I saw it
<v Speaker 1>as clear as day when I was falling and trying
<v Speaker 1>to get back up. But again it was dark, so
<v Speaker 1>I don't have the color of its hair. I don't have,
<v Speaker 1>you know, the whites of its eyes or anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>But I clearly clearly see this thing standing in front
<v Speaker 1>of me. And I have been scared a lot in
<v Speaker 1>my life. I have been terrified a lot in my life,
<v Speaker 1>and I don't ever recall ever being as scared as
<v Speaker 1>I was in that moment, realizing how insignificant I was,
<v Speaker 1>how small I was. If that thing had it could
<v Speaker 1>have reached out and touched me, and if it had
<v Speaker 1>chosen to reach out and touch me, it could have
<v Speaker 1>killed me. And that's what I know now. And that
<v Speaker 1>was my very first what I call really my sighting,
<v Speaker 1>my sighting, and that wasn't that many years ago. I
<v Speaker 1>have been off the homestead now for two years. That
<v Speaker 1>second husband is now ex husband in a marriage that
<v Speaker 1>dissolved that I never saw coming. I really didn't, and.
<v Speaker 2>I moved.
<v Speaker 1>I had to start completely over in my mid to
<v Speaker 1>late fifties. And the one thing I asked of God,
<v Speaker 1>because I'm a believer, I asked him, Lord, give me
<v Speaker 1>a view of sunrise and let me be near the woods.
<v Speaker 1>You know, the woods are.
<v Speaker 2>My safe place.
<v Speaker 1>I had to look for an apartment, and where I
<v Speaker 1>live there aren't many, and so the waiting lists are long,
<v Speaker 1>like two hundred people long. And I was just like, wow,
<v Speaker 1>I don't even know where I'm going to go. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know how this is going to happen. But Lord,
<v Speaker 1>that's my request. Just please put me by the woods
<v Speaker 1>and give me a view of sunrise. Well, long story
<v Speaker 1>shortened that I did apply for an apartment, and you
<v Speaker 1>had to apply site unseen. You just put in your
<v Speaker 1>application and hoped you got it. And when you got it,
<v Speaker 1>they went and showed you where it was and what
<v Speaker 1>it looked like, and you just said okay. So that happened,
<v Speaker 1>and I got this apartment two hundred people this long,
<v Speaker 1>and I got it. And you walk out my back
<v Speaker 1>door and I'm six feet off of the woods, and
<v Speaker 1>you walk out my front door and across a field
<v Speaker 1>and a pond is a beautiful eastern sky, And I
<v Speaker 1>was like, okay, God, I know you arranged this place
<v Speaker 1>for me. I'm here and I'm grateful, and I'm just
<v Speaker 1>going to figure the rest of this life out.
<v Speaker 2>And that was.
<v Speaker 1>In the summer, and I didn't get to spend a
<v Speaker 1>lot of time in the woods during summer. But when
<v Speaker 1>fall hit, I started making it a point. Get out there,
<v Speaker 1>get into your woods. K these are your woods again,
<v Speaker 1>This is your safe place again. Trauma tried to take over.
<v Speaker 1>Hard things came into life, and you got the woods again.
<v Speaker 1>Get back into the woods. And so I did, and
<v Speaker 1>I started loving them. And then one day I was
<v Speaker 1>standing on my porch, which is about four feet off
<v Speaker 1>the edge of the woods, and I see a tree
<v Speaker 1>that is twisted and torn apart. The twisted part is
<v Speaker 1>leaned up against another tree, and then the stump of
<v Speaker 1>it is just you know, sticking up, twisted and crazy looking.
<v Speaker 1>And I knew that a bigfoot had marked that place.
<v Speaker 2>I just do it.
<v Speaker 1>So then I started listening and looking for other signs.
<v Speaker 1>There's tree structures back here, there's xes, there's teepees, there's
<v Speaker 1>bent trees. I've heard wood knocks, there's been.
<v Speaker 2>Whoops.
<v Speaker 1>And it felt like they I don't know. Some people
<v Speaker 1>say some people get tagged, and I guess I kind
<v Speaker 1>of feel tagged, like they always have shown up for
<v Speaker 1>me during or after times of trauma, and I kind
<v Speaker 1>of felt like that this time too, so but because
<v Speaker 1>I had been terrified on the homestead, I I didn't
<v Speaker 1>see them through my childhood mind's eye, if you know
<v Speaker 1>what I'm saying. Now, I have a reality check about them.
<v Speaker 1>So but yet I still love my woods, so I
<v Speaker 1>go out there often. And one time I went out there,
<v Speaker 1>and I always look this tree that got twisted and
<v Speaker 1>broken off has become a gifting spot for me. Put
<v Speaker 1>different things out there, like peanut butter and apples, and
<v Speaker 1>I have these suckers that are made from honey, and
<v Speaker 1>different things out and a tennis ball, different things out there.
<v Speaker 1>And I was standing on my porch looking to see
<v Speaker 1>if any of my gifting spot stuff had been taken.
<v Speaker 1>And well, before I tell you that part, let me
<v Speaker 1>tell you that tennis ball was taken and it showed
<v Speaker 1>back up on my porch, and I threw it as
<v Speaker 1>far as I could back into the woods, and a
<v Speaker 1>couple days later it showed back up on my porch,
<v Speaker 1>almost as if There's been a couple of times I've
<v Speaker 1>taken pictures with my phone and scanned the woods, and
<v Speaker 1>there's been what I feel like is a juvenile in
<v Speaker 1>my pictures, and it was almost as if that juvenile
<v Speaker 1>maybe was playing fetch with me. I don't know, but anyway,
<v Speaker 1>this particular time, I was looking out at that gifting
<v Speaker 1>spot to see if anything was taken, and I was
<v Speaker 1>kind of walking towards it a little bit, and as
<v Speaker 1>I was, something rose from the ground right there at
<v Speaker 1>the base of that tree and darted off into the woods.
<v Speaker 1>And immediately, in my growing up as a hunter, I thought, oh,
<v Speaker 1>wait till deer. That thing just took off lickety split,
<v Speaker 1>just up.
<v Speaker 2>I scared.
<v Speaker 1>I just you know, scared a deer up. And then
<v Speaker 1>I was like, wait a minute. I didn't see a flag.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't see that tail. It wasn't brown like a
<v Speaker 1>deer color. And as I started like this is all
<v Speaker 1>like happening, immediately in my brain, this isn't just me
<v Speaker 1>thinking about it for a while and pondering. This was
<v Speaker 1>like an immediate all of these thoughts going through my
<v Speaker 1>head at once. I realized what I actually saw was
<v Speaker 1>something very charcoal gray come up from the ground on
<v Speaker 1>two legs and bound off on two legs, legs that
<v Speaker 1>I want to call like haunches. And I felt that
<v Speaker 1>feeling of fear again. But I saw it, and I
<v Speaker 1>knew that I saw it, and nobody can tell me
<v Speaker 1>I did not see it. So then I was on
<v Speaker 1>the phone with a friend of mine actually named Dave,
<v Speaker 1>and not this, not at that moment, but later a
<v Speaker 1>couple of weeks, maybe even, and I start hearing this
<v Speaker 1>crazy dog, like this dog is just barking like crazy,
<v Speaker 1>and Dave's on the phone with me, and I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to go see where that dog is. I've
<v Speaker 1>never heard that, never heard that dog. And I went
<v Speaker 1>to my front door, which mind you, is a goes
<v Speaker 1>out into a parking lot. And I go to open
<v Speaker 1>the door, and immediately this giant, very dark, almost black,
<v Speaker 1>if not all black, long haired dog jumps at me,
<v Speaker 1>just ferociously barking his head off, trying to get me
<v Speaker 1>as I am trying to slam my door shut, and
<v Speaker 1>my friend is on the phone hearing all of this
<v Speaker 1>as I'm trying to shut this door. And I shut
<v Speaker 1>the door and realized this may be a dog man,
<v Speaker 1>might be a dog man. It was in my face.
<v Speaker 1>I was shoving it with one hand as I was
<v Speaker 1>trying to hold the phone with my other hand, and
<v Speaker 1>close the door, and terror felt like it hit me again,
<v Speaker 1>and I just started praying, no Lord, mm hm, no
<v Speaker 1>God in Jesus' name, No, I haven't seen that since.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't heard that since. But here's what I know.
<v Speaker 1>As a kid, my brother called all of these things monsters,
<v Speaker 1>and I wanted to keep all of the monsters in
<v Speaker 1>a box.
<v Speaker 2>Just keep them.
<v Speaker 1>All snugged down in there, don't talk about them anymore.
<v Speaker 1>People think you're crazy. Don't bring it up. It sounds
<v Speaker 1>like you're out of your mind. Keep them in a box.
<v Speaker 1>It's just safeer that way. And so that's what I
<v Speaker 1>did for years and years and years. But I felt
<v Speaker 1>like I felt like I had to hide a part
<v Speaker 1>of myself. I felt like I had to be untrue
<v Speaker 1>because people wanted me to feel ashamed or crazy. And
<v Speaker 1>that's actually what my friend Dave did for me, was
<v Speaker 1>he helped me take the lid off that box and say,
<v Speaker 1>these experiences are real, these encounters are real. Call them
<v Speaker 1>monsters if you want to. That's what a brother tried
<v Speaker 1>to tell a kid. They were, But I don't think
<v Speaker 1>they are not. Dog Man. I don't want to see
<v Speaker 1>him anymore. Bigfoot, I don't know that I really want
<v Speaker 1>to have an encounter in my face with a bigfoot again,
<v Speaker 1>because it's scary, but it's real. And if I can
<v Speaker 1>believe for things this big, here's where I want to
<v Speaker 1>flip the script and say, Okay, God allowed these things.
<v Speaker 1>They had to come through him somehow to be here.
<v Speaker 1>And if I can believe that He is big, I
<v Speaker 1>don't have to be afraid of what's in the box.
<v Speaker 1>And if He gives me these experiences, if he allows
<v Speaker 1>them in my life, then how can I not talk
<v Speaker 1>about them. I want to point back to Him in
<v Speaker 1>all the things, not just the things that feel explainable.
<v Speaker 5>Well that's it for tonight show. If you've had a
<v Speaker 5>big foot siding and would like to be a guest,
<v Speaker 5>please go to my Bigfoot Siding dot com and let
<v Speaker 5>us know. Thanks for listening, have a great night.
