Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in Richmond next weekend. That's gonna be really fun. We has anybody looked into what the restaurants are around there? Where will we go have our our Should we bring a tape recorder and record our we do that every week? We were gonna want to have dinner with each other after and talk. Yeah, I'm in Richmond, Virginia, down south. Oh, I'm guessing maybe we can find some good barbecue. I'd be pretty happy with something along those lines. Okay, happy with barbecue. Um, what what political topics should we dive? O? Oh gosh, you guys start thinking about things. We'll figure it out. We'll figure out. I'm happy to get back out there and and meeting fans and seeing people. And this is actually this will be our first con since well my first con and maybe writer's first con since we started the podcast. Yeah, yeah, and so Will has already had the experience, and he's poets world listeners, the world listeners and seeing the pod meats world merch. It hasn't happened yet. Shirts everywhere and it's cool and yeah, people come up and throw out like you know, one liners are inside jokes on the podcast. It's really fun. I definitely I got recognized as Sundance a couple of times, and it was so interesting because people clarify, you know, as opposed to recognizing me for Boy Meets World, which people do, you know all the time, and they would be like, no, no, I'm a fan of Boy Meats World, but I'm a bigger fan of pod Meets World at this point, and so like they would go out of their way. It happened to be a couple of times I was like, oh, that's so nice. It's it's it's a it's a it's like a different level of recognition, you know. It's like not only do I know you from that TV show when you were a kid, but like now I'm kind of on this other journey with you. Um, so I am really excited to see the fans part of me because I feel the same way. There's something that feels more personal about pod Meat's World. Well then there is and I yeah, yeah, And I wonder if it's just because obviously Podmeats World is very much us. It's just us. It's not there are no characters, it's just who we are. Um. Whereas Boy Meets World of course, there's that feeling when somebody compliments you on it. There's always that like, well, I'm not the person who wrote and well I'm not the person who created it, and I'm you know, I'm just the physical actually exactly, I'm not actually to bangaloreans and all those things. So yeah, there is something so nice. So anyway, I am very excited to be out there and to see everybody and to have those conversations. And so yeah, we will be in Richmond the twenty fourth through the twenty sixth. If you haven't already got tickets, get them, come say hi, come meet us, and we're looking forward to it. I just want I want I want good food. I want good, cool, awesome places. Hopefully not chains, you know, we want a good local place where Will and I can scream at each other and guys, guys, we all love each other. I think I will saying and I think we're saying, yeah, perfect ribs like ribs after you eat them are really good to just fling across the table. So I think we're we've got some some good stuff happening. Welcome to pod Meet's world. I'm Danielle fisheral, I'm Riders Strong, and I'm Eric Matthews. So today we are recapping season two, episode eleven, The Beard. It originally aired December ninth, nineteen ninety four. The synopsis is that Sean gets Corey to Data Girl solely to keep her unavailable while he dates another one. It is directed by David Trayner, was written by Jeff Minnelle and a guest stars Blake. Soaper is Joseph Joey, the ride epstein Ethan supplie is Frankie Stacchino. John Capitos as Chubby. He appeared in ace Ventura, Independence Day and Speed. This is the first time we see mister Chubby, right, yeah, is the only time I think there's I think Henves back, but it's a different actor playing Chubby. I feel like somebody's pointed that out to us before. Yeah, yeah, uh. Lenny Wolf as car dealer, Hayley Johnson as Linda. She's from Kids Incorporated. He is and Ashley Johnson's sister, Yess's sister, Molly Morgan as Stacy, and Josh Keaton returns, but this time as Roy. It's so funny. When I saw Josh at the beginning, I was like, is that that's Josh again? But then I was like, no, it can't be because he looks different. It looks different, and I was like, no, that's not him, and then I saw his name in the ground. I was like, oh, yeah it actually, but yeah, it's funny. He looks less like himself in this shot or whatever. The last one, yes, and the last one he didn't even have any lines, right, So yeah, yeah, super interesting. But this makes sense why we were friends with him and like, because he was always kind of around like he was in two more than one episode. So yeah. Yeah. Well, to start our recap, we are in the Matthews kitchen. Amy is stressing and looking at pictures of cars at the kitchen table because she's looking to buy a new car. Corey and Eric enter to tell Amy she should get a turbo charged Ferrari, and Amy asks, how's that going to work for the family. She decides to go with a van, and both Corey and Eric yell no. Amy defends the van for camping and soccer and her job at the gallery, and then Amy yep, still, she's got a load paintings. She's just loading paintings. And remember how big of a deal minivans were, Like that was a thing, like because they didn't really exist before the early nineties, Like yeah, and then it was like suddenly everybody had a minivan. Like my family got a minivan. Everybody your family these mini van when we would go places and it was awesome. Yeah, it was a Toyota Previa. Yes, it was there, amazing car, awesome my parents. My dad kept ran that car into the ground. He loved it because you could actually put i don't know, a certain size would in the like you could open up and use it basically as a truck. And he's like, oh no, it fits a perfect size plywood whatever he build something, why would he would like have this measurement. He's like, other trucks, other vans can't do it, but the Previa, so he like three hundred thousand miles. They finally killed that car and threw it away, but or gave it away or whatever rebuilt it. But my parents loved that car and we bought it right when Boy Beat the World started. Anyway, I just it's just so funny to remember, like mini vans were in the in the culture. It's like now it's just like a standard thing, like people have minivans. But back then, man, they were the new hot thing. But it was so strange because I not that long ago, maybe a year or two ago. I flew back to Connecticut, and when I fly there, I fly into Boston because I liked fly direct. And I had to rent a car to drive there. And the only thing they had and I didn't know the horse. The horse had colic and yeah, the buggie was the axel was thine broken? Um, your penny farthing bike wasn't working. Your hey, oh here we go now driving wow here on these two fangled roads. Wow, check me out. I had to go to the gym and lift those big triangle things. Um. So the only thing they had was a minivan, and so I was like, okay, I'll rent this thing. I had so much fun in this minivan that I came back and said to Sue, we almost need to have children just to justify getting this damn thing. Best friend has a minivan, and when I first was pregnant, she said to me, Oh, I'm so excited you're gonna You're gonna get a minivan just like me. I can't wait, can't wait for you to get a minivan. And I was like, I am not going to get a minivan. No, thank you, it's not for me. I'm not going to get one. And then I had to get my car had needed service and it was going to take longer than expected, so they got me a rental car, and the only rental car they had was a minivan. And if I didn't spend the rest of the day googling luxury minivans, I was like, this is amazing. The doors they don't have to open wide. They slide open so you can fit in narrow like because our garage is very narrow, it's very long. So if in order for me to get both kids in the car, I have to back out of the driveway so that the doors can open, I wouldn't need to do that with a minivan. No, do they have hybrid minivans yet. Is there a hybrid or electric minivan? Is that a thing? I think they have hybrids that don't remember. Yeah, I'm sure it's love a good minivan anyway, and you can fit all the all the paintings from the gallery and soccer and when you go camping, it's probably great perfect. So Amy then leaves to try and figure out what color she's gonna get. Alan tells the boys they just witnessed the big difference between men and women. Men like to rush, rush, rush, and just do it, but women they don't like to just do it. You've got to buy him a car first. And then there's a real tim Allen laugh moment between the boys and we're out of that scene. Well, no, he does say, I'm just kidding, Yes he did. I never said that. I never said exactly, which I thought was nice because if it was I, if this were home and prove, he would have just ended on that. And there, you're right, you're right. But the fact that like Alan then says, I didn't just kidding, I didn't say just kidding softens the softens the sexism, if you will, what's nice just a little? There are there are actually many moments of um going out of the way to avoid some sexism, like even are there are there are other there are a lot of them, so we will point them out less than any zero. Yeah. And then we are in mister Turner's classroom. Mister Turner is teaching the class all about Hamlet. That's all they can get. That's all these people, which is like Hamlet. We already covered that episode season one, right, and and and then I was like, oh, it's gonna pay off in some way, but it doesn't. Actually we go into President Kennedy so and we never even get a shady melon. So what's the point. What is this? What is the point of this episode? Come on, we need more mergeez uh. So Sean says Hamlet sounds just like Thanksgiving dinner at his house. And then a girl in front of Corey who is not to panga. Yeah in topanga seat, I'd like to point that out, passes a note to Corey, but it's for Sean. And then we cut to mister Feeney's class room. Mister Feeney is teaching the class about is that Haley or is that that's Haley? That's Haley who also for some reason is the only uh young woman in class anywhere to pass a full size note, who uses an entire higher sheet of paper to pass a note? Right, right, it's very obvious. Yeah, you say, she's like a notebook. Like her hand this back to Sean. It's like, man, you were she drew a ma shady melon the whole paper she was giving me your thoughts on hamlet. You know, she just wrote, didn't we do this episode? And then she handed it back? Yeah I wasn't. In season one, Uh so, mister Feenie is teaching the class about the Cuban missile crisis. Mister Feenie explains that JFK had to make an impossible decision, and Sean guesses it must be between his wife and Marilyn Monroe. So this is the first time we've seen Phoenie and second because right, yeah, right, And then we're back in Foenie's classroom. We're facing the right way, finally, finally, the right way. So much better now, it's amazing. It's so dumb, but I just feel better. I know. I don't know why it must, I mean, we have we are so used to facing that Phoene classroom direction. Yes, so then another girl passes a note to Corey and he thinks this one has to be for him, but it's once again meant for Sean. Corey wonders if he has an unlisted desk? Okay, do we want to talk about what I discovered? I think so. I mean, this has been something I've been trying to get to the bottom of for a very long time. And I woke up this morning. Do you having solved the mystery for him? Sold to mystery last night watching this episode? Because when I saw this actress whose name is her name is Wayne's Stay, Molly Morgan, Molly. She is playing Stacy. When I saw her face, I had a series of memories flooed into me and I put some clues together, and what happened this week while we're filming this episode was she could do some amazing double jointed things with her arms, Like she could like take her arms and like wap them around her head. And Ben and I saw her doing that and immediately were reminded of the girl who had originally played to Panco. Because the would originally played to Pango for one day, we'd only worked with her one day. We did the table read and we rehearsed that day and then um, she was gone the next day and Danielle you replaced her based on that whole story that we've all told him heard a million times, but we couldn't remember her name because she was never credited with the role or whatever. And but we'd remembered that she could do this interesting contortionist stuff with her body. Also was in Yeah, she could also like she could also do it stuff. So when when this when when Molly Morgan did it, Ben and I looked at each other and said, oh, my gosh, that reminds us of person X, whose name I couldn't remember now at the age of forty three. And Molly Morgan overheard us say that and then me aside during the filming of this episode and said, you know, that actually was my sister. My sister was the original to Panga Wow. And she got fired and she doesn't want you know, people talking about it. I you know, I don't want everybody to know that I am that girl's sister, because it wasn't a great experience to have been fired, I guess obviously. Um, And you know, the show went on to do well. The character went on to become a part of the show. So anyway, so that that week we discovered that Molly Morgan was the sister to the person who was originally the cast is to Panga, So that I don't know, is so Bonnie Moan. What's her name, Bonnie Morgan? So now we now know it's Bonnie Morgan whom I looked up who is a contortionist, and she is. She's a famous They both are successful actors, performers, but she is she has made a big part of her career being like a contortionist, which is so funny that that's the connective tissue why we were able to remember this person or why you know, we were able to learn about who this person was, and so yeah, to discover her now in twenty twenty three, she you know, does she's like the Ring girl from the movies The Ring, like not the original ones, but like basically everything since the Gorela Bin. Yes, she is responsible for that famous spider crawl in the Ring too. Yes, she does all of that cool stuff with her boy. And then I guess I think she's She and her family are performers. They have like a I think they both of the girls that we worked with came from their dad was like a service performer or something, so they have this like crazy, interesting, cool career. She was raised by third generation circus performers, also have a fantastic horror lineage. They have been a part of horror franchises for generations. She is incredibly talented, incredibly famous. Maybe you know, like I said, she is absolutely famous for doing that spider crawl. You may not know, oh, the famous spider crawl by Bonnie Morgan. You may not necessarily know her name, but you know her work. And yeah, I have been wanting to get to the bottom of this mystery of who she was because I did, at one at one time know her name years and years ago, and I did look her up and I did remember seeing that she was a contortionist. And remember I brought it up to you writer, I said, well, yeah, because I think she's a contortionist now, and you said, is she really or do you just think that because we remember her doing those contortion things. And the funny thing is that I didn't remember that because I wasn't there for this week when you worked with Molly, so I wouldn't have seen that. And I don't remember Bonnie doing that on that first day because I had other things going on in my mind on that first day. That was the day I ended up auditioning for Topanga, So her doing you know, double jointed stuff was just not in my memory. But I have wanted to. I have wanted to solve the mystery because I have thought about her. I mean, I won't say every day, but I have thought about her so many times over these years, and I've often wondered whether or not my story, me telling my half of the story, has ever hurt her, you know, like I have. I had told the story about how I got to Penga and there was another girl and then she was let go and then they replaced it, and then I got the job. And it wasn't until you know, I mean I don't, I don't know. I should have thought of it, I should have thought of it earlier, but it wasn't until I was significantly older that I was like, Wow, what's her half of that story? For me, it's you know, a life changing moment, and for her it probably isn't life changing, but it also wasn't pleasant. Um well, but it was interesting, you know, because you could say the same thing about Marla sockle off. Right, Yeah, and when we brought it up with Marla, it's like suddenly this like, yeah, origin story for you that is pretty positive. Yeah, you know, could be kind of perceived as like an awful but Marla didn't seem to really be bothered that much by it. True. But the one thing I'll say that's a big difference is that it wasn't Marla's that she lost. It was possibly Marla's and it was possibly mine. It was going to be one of ours, and someone was going to win out over the other. Sure for Bonnie it was hers. Yeah, That's how I felt with Harry. I mean, it's that same thing because there was another Eric Matthews. So yeah, but neither of those situations or have you guys had no responsibility with the actual situation, right, Like, you were not doing the firing, you were getting You're just getting hired for a job that just unfortunately might be not great for this other person. But it's not your fault. And interestingly too, Daniel, I want I want to point out that I feel like on this podcast you were telling the origin story and it suddenly felt a little more negative even for you, in a way that you hadn't expressed it, you know, when when you heard David Trayner's point of view, it suddenly changed, um, and and all the what you had sort of seen is like this, this great story of you rising to the challenge of Michael Jacob's expectations and notes suddenly was like this is maybe not wasn't a great situation to be threat and to be fired and you know, so it's it's it is interesting that there's, um, there's a much bunch of different point of views here. Um. And I I don't know, like, I don't think it's a negative thing that you know, at twelve years old, this young actress did not you know, she didn't get this job or she had this job and got fired. I don't know, like I think it's it should be positive because she's clearly doing fine and has lived an interesting, cool life. And I don't know, but maybe, you know, I I hope that's true. And it's just I'm very aware of the fact that you don't get to tell somebody what their experience is of a situation you And so that is how I hope she feels about it. And I would nothing would make me feel better than for her to say to me, Oh my gosh, that was a really difficult time, and I beat myself up over it at the beginning. Like I it was tragic at that time, but man, now looking back everything where you know, I would love I would love that, But I don't want to just assume, and I have always thought I want her to know that me telling the story, UM was never meant if it did make her feel bad, I am sorry for that. I certainly never meant to, and I just want to. I just would like to apologize if if I have ever made her feel bad by just simply sharing my story, it bringing up something for her that was bad. So anyway, UM, And also to your point writer about you know, retelling the story, I think the thing that's one of the things I love the most about this podcast is that I still to this day think of that situation with the story of how I got to Panga, and there are parts of it that are so inspiring, and there are parts of it that I'm like, That's one of the reasons I've been successful, as my definition of success for myself in my career has been achieving these milestones, and one of the reasons I have been that way is because from the time I was young, I learned to rise to the occasion under extreme pressure. So there are still parts of it that I find inspirational. And then on the other side, I can sympathize and empathize with the child that was there, not the professional, not the actor, not the adult doing you know, not the kid doing an adult job. But I can empathize with the child that was there and think that's a tough situation And is that a situation kid should be in? And so I think it's both. And yeah, so anyway, thank you for solving that mystery. For me. I am going to reach out to her personally. My number one goal would just be for her to know that I have reached out to her, woman to woman, person to person, and just talk to her. And then my number two goal would be to introduce her to all of you on the podcast. I don't know if she's going to be interested in that. I hope that she would, and I hope that she will because I'd like to share her with you and I'd love for us to meet her and to hear about her life and her adventures in her career. And so yeah, so we'll we'll see how that works out. I remember working with Molly and having a really great time this week. She was awesome and she's great, she's greatly at theisode and you so, I have very fond memories small like and and and she confided in me, you know, she didn't want the words spread around the set that her sister was the original Topengo UM, and we bonded, like I remember hanging out with her and loving working with her. UM. And then of course, you know, she never guest starred on our show again. I never never saw her again and forgot her name until I saw it in the credits and I was like, I know her face that is the sister was the original Topanca and so connected the dods UM and then yeah, and it was also interested Hayley Johnson, who's in this episode. Her sister, Ashley Johnson is it was a child actress who worked with my brother on a show called Maybe This Time, UM, a pilot that didn't get picked up. And then she was in a bunch of stuff. She's still in a bunch of stuff and will you know where now right? Yeah, she as she's a friend, she's she is with the crew over a critical role and she's a D and D buddy so and she's she's engaged my friend Brian. So yeah, they're right. Yeah, I saw Ashley like a week ago. That's so funny. Um, so did you know her sister when you saw her in this episode? You oh yeah, oh instant, because because she and Ashley looks so similar, they do. Right. It was so funny to see Haley's face, like I remember her from this episode, but I also feel like she looks like somebody else, and I like to put it all together. Yeah, there is no Yeah, no, I've known Ashley for for years and years and years. Yeah. She's a big voice over actor too, so I mean I I've worked I think the first time I worked with Ashley she was like eleven or something like that. I mean, we've known each other for a long time. Yea. So, jumping back into our recap in the school cafeteria, Sean can't decide between the note passers Stacy and Linda. If he rejects Linda, she'll get upset, but if he rejects Stacy, she may get a sex change operation and come back as a very angry man. Weird out of nowhere joke, I know, and also then he says, hey, I've seen it happen, so yeah, really okay comes out of nowhere, and then Corey says, just choose, like when you picked between meat loaf and chicken at lunch. Right. Then Sean realizes something and asks, how do you know if you're having an idea? I love dumb Sean. Yeah, I don't hate dumb Sean either, if I dumb all right, yeah, yeah, okay, I kind of like dumb Sean more than I like angsty Sean. But I gotta see what where angsty Sean goes. I think I'm I mean, I don't think I like either. So but okay, no, you know, I definitely am not. Yeah, like, I don't know, I'm not comfortable with it, but I guess maybe I'm not going to be comfortable with anything. No, I don't think you're going to be comfortable. And I think it's also one of the things I don't think you're comfortable with is I don't think you'll ever see yourself as funny when actually you are. You were very funny, yeah, and I don't think you ever. I think one of the reasons you're funny is because you don't think you're funny, so you don't play it for the joke. Yeah, and it comes off as funny. It's funny. I mean, you was saying so earnestly, how do you know when you're having an idea? It was funny? It's so funny. It's so it's so funny. I really enjoy dumb Sean. It's literally one of my funny I I you know, I just feel like I'm looking at this show and looking at my acting. Um, I just feel like I'm out of control. Like I feel like I have no control. Like I feel like I'm just sort of lurching from beat to beat, which maybe makes it a little real or something. But um, watching it, I'm uncomfortable with my performance. I'm like, why didn't I work on that a little bit more? Or like, I don't know, it just feels off to me. But you know, I think a lot of that is just insecurity looking at you know, myself in an awkward stage of life and feeling awkward about it. I'm sure, but I don't know. I mean, compared to like Will, I feel like you were like you guys both are your present You're like presentable in a way that like I've every time I'm on the screen, I'm like, this kid's just a mess. There's no idea what he's doing, like just all over the place, like my face and my mouth and my eyes like I'm just not like I don't know. I mean, I just did. I don't feel presentable. I feel again, it's probably just my insecurity, Like it's a weird It's gotta be because it looks great. It did. It's a great character. I mean, it's a great character, and it's a perfect foil for Corey and the two of you work together really really well. And I had to pang it in when when there's episodes where it's the three of you, there's something about the trinity of the three of you that just the it balances perfectly. It really does. Yeah, I guess I do feel I guess I like the stuff with Corey in particular, Like, yeah, um, I don't know. It's probably me just judging my own appearance more than anything, you know, I just feel awkward. Yeah, I mean, I don't know what you're talking about. Your mouth and your eyes stay stayed on your face. They are in different there, They're never different directions at they are always on your face, and your face is always where it's supposed to be, and so yeah, I don't I don't know it. Then we're in the school hallway. Corey called Sean a sick and twisted individual, but Sean thinks he's a visionary because he wants Corey to date one girl while he dates the other, and that way she's off the market until he's ready to date her. And Corey says, you want me to keep her fresh? What am I tupperware? Which is exactly on the nose because later Eric calls it right out. You're you're safe, You're bubble wrap, bubble rap exactly. Corey says he has things to do. He can't date her. His calendar has Lincoln's birthday Sinco de Mayo and a warning to reorder the calendar in it, so obviously he's jammed. Remember calendars, guys, physical calendars. Will has a giant one, Yeah, Will huge, And it's the only thing that's that's determining my life right now. But I remember people used to have to have pocket calendars, right, oh yeah, the time all go. Like my dad always had one the fire department would give him every year, and I started I started using them. When I was a teenager, we would get them from the San Francisco Fire Department. There were these little pocket calendars that you have and they were great. I have one that I carried around and it's Bill to this day has every single letter from my freshman year boyfriend Jeff Arnell. Wow. So Sean says he's going to go out with the first girl that comes up to him, while Corey will go out with the other. And then Stacy comes over and she says hi, But he can't decide who he wants. He's still stuck between Stacy and Linda. He wants both, and actually I think Linda comes up first. Linda comes up to him, it says Stacy. Linda is the one who comes over first. And then he still stucks. So Corey says, fine, he wants Debbie and Sean no, yeah, And Sean says, but I want Debbie, and then Corey yell's there is no Debbie and you very perfectly say there's a Debbie somewhere. Can I say something very quickly about it's Haley, right, Haley Johnson. She was so perfectly cast as a seventh grader. I'm now putting it in my head that this is the seventh grade, and we've had some storylines and some stuff that happens some people that have been cast where it's like, wow, they don't look like they're seventh graders. She perfectly looks like a nice seventh grader. Well, see, I was during this episode. I was looking at how much Ben and I look older from when we started this season. Yeah, like it's already the progression, Like I feel like we're high scorers. Like I'm looking at it going, yeah, oh yeah, I'm definitely like I look like I'm in ninth grade or tenth. Yeah. You know, that's what I really liked about beginning of the season. I didn't so yeah, yeah, everyone's changing very quick at this age. But I thought she was perfectly cast because I feel the same way. But I wonder how much of it because I felt the same way even about myself. When I saw my face, I was like, wow, my face has gotten so much more mature. I wonder how much of it, though, is just us actually feeling more comfortable seeing ourselves in those sets and seeing us around the other background actors who all look older. I wonder if we think we've aged up more than we really have I don't know, riders super comfortable with it. So that's obviously what it is. The other thing I'd like to talk about about this episode and the last episode, the writing staff has now let Seinfeld completely permeate the writer's room. Oh really, because the last two episodes have just had Seinfeld and Seinfeld moments inside. It's just there's it's It was obviously huge in the lex kon at the time, and so there have been moments that have been like, oh, that's right from Seinfeld. Oh that's directly and this is one of them or what there there's a bunk. I mean, there's there's a couple of moments that happier happen here with like you know, the who's well, who's Debbie? I mean like all that kind of stuff like that is there are some Seinfeld isms there, you know, before U Ben Mike raving his socks, there's a whole thing. There's a whole storyline about Kramer always wanting his stuff warm, so putting. So the question, and I don't know if we came first or they came first. We all Seinfeld started in nineteen eighty nine and was on for nine seasons, so it was already like in its prime it did. But the but the episodes where Kramer is doing his socks and his clothes come later in the season, so I don't know, maybe this was earlier. I don't know, but there's definite Seinfeld references that are now starting to happen on the show. Hm, well, there you go. We have also been accused of stealing things from friends very consciously did South Park references on what did we from friends? Well, I actually think maybe it's not things that were in the show. But you know that very famous photo of the four of us all lying on each other in a little square format like in the Park that was apparently like it had already been done by friends. Oh, I think they all looked. I don't feel like the opening our opening credit sequence a lot. Yeah, something about the friends, Yeah, yeah, at the end especially, Yeah, I think the on and off again relationship stuff too. I don't know, I think that's a regular basic television trope at the time, though, yeah, exactly, it's just kind of maybe from us, Maybe they stole it from us. How about that? How about that Courtney Cox called her out? I love friends anyway, So we're in the school hallway. Frankie asks Joey if he forgot to do something on this Friday afternoon, and Joey says, yeah, he forgot to clean out his locker. He opens the locker and two very cute little nerds run out. Corey overhears Roy asking Linda out, so Corey decides to run interference to get him to go away, and Linda is thankful. Linda asks Corey if Sean is avoiding her, and then Sean runs over to Corey, sees Linda and quickly runs away because he's avoiding her. Corey says that he's just shy, and he compliments Linda, and Sean is probably intimidated because she has such a beautiful smile and she's sweet and she's smart, and I thought, wow, Ben is so Corey is so confident when he's talking the Ladies Man, and now he's got women all over to him again, and he's so naturally charismatic, and he have an easy conversation when this they're with this girl, when he's able to do it. From the standpoint of talking about Sean, Yeah, it's also funny because like Sean is established as this like ladies man or whatever, but like I'm kind of all over the place. I'm not and I've never kissed anybody on the show yet. I mean there was the one, the one episode where I was in a locker with a girl, But like we've watched Corey like yeah, a lot of different girls, not just to Panga, but like multiple episodes now where he's been aggressive or you know, but he just talks a lot about being nervous, but he actually pretty confident and funny and tier. When they opened the closet door in the seven minutes in Heaven episode, were you actually kissing her? Then? I came out with a different shirt on. Yeah, so I have not had an in the locker, in the locker room, the locker when you're in there, you didn't see it there in Yeah, yeah, yeah, well I thought the same thing. I was like, you know, for the guy who is so nerdy, never gets invited anywhere, it doesn't have any friends, he's the most popular kid in school. He's got women all over the place, He's going to every single party. It's like, oh, Corey's actually a pretty popular dude. Yeah, there's something, you know, this is something that's all it's always struck me about. Boy Mee's world. And I think it's part of the form itself, part of sitcom in general, which is that there is this it's like a play and and and we've talked about that a bunch, but like part of the play nature is that you're kind of told things more than you're shown things. So like we're told a lot who our characters are, and we talk about who our characters are, so like we're told who Corey is, we're told who Sean is, in a way that in a single camera show or in a movie, you wouldn't rely on people's dialogue to describe characters as often as you do in a sitcom. In a sitcom, we're literally like, well, Sean, you're always doing this, and Corey euro And it always struck me as odd and never felt like I feel like, in a lot of ways, like I'm giving credit four Like I've always felt like Sean is given credit for being this like bad boy who's always in trouble and the ladies man. But in reality, I didn't actually play that that often. Does that make sense? Like it just sort of said that that was my character in a way that like in any other context, if I was in a movie, I would have played Sean differently because I would have been I would have been acting those things out as opposed to verbally reinforcing them. But something about you know about the form of sitcom, and especially our show in particular, it's a lot of talk, and it's a lot of explaining characters, and then you know, to a way that I felt uncomfortable with later in later seasons where I would feel like we're just talking about who we are a lot, and which I'm curious to revisit, you know, by like fifth season, I feel like we're always like, but your Corey, who does this and this and this and this? And it's like, why don't we just have actions that describe or that illustrate that, as opposed to verbally describing that. And that was something that frustrated me about the form of sitcom. What I was thinking about when you just said that is what an actual perfect way of creating instant conflict to only have to show if you have to show the who they are with action and then create conflict by seeing them do the other part of that, it's much it's a much longer situation where what's the instant conflict? If I say, but Corey, you're always the good guy, and yet actually every time we see Corey he's always in trouble, and with Sean it's the opposite. Sean, Well, Sean's the troublemaker. And what do we actually see is always Sean being sensitive and Sean not getting into trouble and the formula, Yeah, this is the soft This is how Boy's World did it, right, I mean, this is how you compress that much meaning into a two minute episode, right, like, and it's it's it's it's tricky, like, but yeah, I feel like that is the formula for Boyme's World because I never felt like Sean was actually a bad person, Like he was never actually breaking the rules or actually doing anything, you know, besides like changing the poenie to weenie like, which is also kind of you know, there was all this talk, there was all this explaining to the audience like this is who these people are, and yeah, you know, and I think, especially for kids, you absorb those those those verbal descriptions almost as equally as you do what's actually happening on screen, so you know, and you give them just enough to to to uphold what you've said. So for you, it was blowing up the mailbox. You got that one episode. That's the biggest thing we could do, is you blowing up the mailbox. And now we buy it. You can say anything about Sean being a rebel, and that foundation has already been laid. And then for Corey, we do the thing with the seven minutes in Heaven. We see him get humiliated once and now we just no matter what else we show, we accept well, we've seen it, we've seen it, and you've said it about bunch of times. It must be true. Um so, yeah, very very interesting. Uh So, Linda asks Corey why he's not intimidated, and then we get a little flirty moment of silence between the two of them, and then we are in Chubbies. Frankie and Joey are standing at the jukebox when Frankie asks two girls if they want to dance, and when they say yes, Joey says, okay, go dance and sits back to watch and the girls shake their head like and walk away. And then Corey brings Linda to Chubbies for the first time. She says she's always heard it was a dive and he said it used to be a dive, but now it's a rat hole. Hold on, So no Danny in this episode. Huh No, No, So they were just picking and choosing. It must have been a budget thing. Yeah, they were constantly trying. Yeah, well they have two guest stars. Yeah, it's just like we had a serious number of guests, like a limited number of guest stars, and then they just would write to that that's exactly what it has to be. Well, Linda asks for a menu from mister Chubby, and Corey is embarrassed. He calls her a for an exchange student, saying nicht on the menu, and he says, you can't just come in here for like as a first time or in order. Corey says Chubby doesn't like that she has to act like a regular, and then he tells her how to order, which is a very detailed exchange and yeah it's by the way, this is very famous and the boy meets World lexicon. The I didn't ordering at all. I didn't I wasn't remember. I didn't even remember that we ever saw Chubby. But again, this is this is the Seinfeld thing. This is exactly this This a souper Nazi. It's the same. There's an ordering thing and you won't get I mean, it's all taken right from something right. I didn't think about that to complain, Its completely the same storyline. So Linda follows Corey's lead on how to order a turkey chubby with everything, and then she orders a diet soda and he pours out half of a regular soda and says half the calories. Very funny, very funny. Capitos is a big character actor. By the way, this was good. He's so great, such a good get for our show, though. I mean he's been in He's that kind's been around forever and he's been in everything. So yeah, it was I remember seeing him on the set and be like, oh my god, I've watched this guy in a thousand things. Yeah, really cool. They walk over to a booth and Linda asks why Corey isn't sitting next to her, and this gets a who from the audience, and just as they get comfortable, Sean and Stacy walk in and then Linda kisses Corey. Corey is almost speechless, but Sean didn't see it. Shan looks over. They exchange a thumbs up, and this is all just a bit and much for Corey. Great thumbs up between the two of you. M h, I love a good thumbs up. So this is this was cool to see this episode and this scene in particular, and then the next one in Choby's because this is where I became friends with someone who is still like one of my best friends in life. Um, she's in the background. She was actually Aaron. I don't you guys remember Aaron? Yeah, Aaron who she was. She grew up with Ben. Actually that's how she was there. She and Ben were friends when they were like six and seven back in Chicago, and she came out to LA for this episode to visit him, and we met filming this scene and sat and chubbies and talked. And then later on that week Ben, Aaron, Patrick, Renna who I had done summertime switched with, and I think some other people. I don't know if either of you guys were there. We all went to Burbank and watched Quiz Show, which was Michael's movie. We went to the movie theater to watch Quiz Show and I bought the Blind Melon CD there. Yeah, I think you were there too. From it was one of the first CDs I remember buying, and I loved that I loved that band. It became a Dancing girl. Yeah, but at that album, like I bought it from a vending machine at the Burbank AMC for whatever theater we went to flood Ruckers. Anyway, It's just so funny. As I was, I had the flood of memories and I could see there's Aaron in the background in the scene as an extra, and we sat and talked and we started a She went back to Chicago after visiting for the week and we started a phone letter relationship friendship that has lasted to this day. Now. I'm still best friends with her and her now her husband and her two daughters, and we see each other all the time. And it was so funny because I texted her a couple of months ago. I was like, I think your episode's coming up. Do you remember what it's called. She's like, my mom said it was called The Beard. I'm like, that doesn't sound like a Boyman's World titled what is the Beard? She's like, yeah, sorry, She's like, all your remembers that I yelled scum at one point. Ye. Anyway, It's just like, yeah, so Aaron is still like one of my and it was so cool to see this in New York. No, she's in Chicago. She she keep she moved out here for a while. She and her husband lived in San Diego for years, and now they went back to Chicago. So that, by the way, the Weird also the name of a Seinfeld episode, Are you serious? Ye? Oh my god? Same. They literally called the Beard. Yep. Ye. That is the most nineties or writer. We went to fud Ruckers. I thought of Blind Melon from a great movie. Yes, incredible. Yeah, see Quiz Show. If you haven't seen it, you should. Jeff McCracken and Michael Jacob's producers on that movie. So um, we're in the Matthews kitchen. Corey and Eric are setting the table with their dad when Alan asks if they remember the little conversation they had about women yesterday, and Corey says yes. As a matter of fact, he needs some advice. Alan says, men are creatures of action, and he calls Amy downstairs. She's wearing another very cool bolo tie. I don't know if you guys caught it this, I did, I did. I also in the work three piece suit that she's still in, it's a peplam a peplum skirt. Suit with a bolo tie and white tights. I did notice remember when we had Marguerite on and she was like the white tights. I've noticed a lot of white tights. Sarah marco Witz a big fan of white tights. I want to I want to make a note about that. Pepsi and peplum peplum. Absolutely PEPSI get it for your peplum um. Alan says he is taking charge of the car purchasing so she can avoid all the things she hates about the process. Alan then takes Amy outside to show her the nineteen ninety nineteen ninety five minivan he bought. Can we talk about where we never see the car? Never see the car? But also where's their driveway? Where? I don't know? I was so frustrated. I was like, wait, they pull around this side, which is didn't Grandma was a rolling Ston't she run to the other side. Yes, people come from the other direction all the time. House. It makes no sense, I mean, the truth really is. It just is what's convenient for camera for camera. So it just made sense that they wanted him to pull her outside and for her to see it. But so why if the car is parked over there? Why would the front door be on the other side? Makes no sense at all? Can I also ask, is what he did so awful? I'm curious for two months that they've wanted this car, they've set it up, that it's been two months that she's trying to decide what car it is. They finally get to a knight. Isn't it supposed to be her decision? Right? But she does. She says, I like the I like the minivan. He's like, pick a color, and then he even loots the fact that he's you said green with the tan and terrier. She picked the car and then picked the color and he went out thought I think what because I was thinking about this too, and I think what the idea was is that she never said there, that's it, I'm settled, go get now we can go get it. She said, hmmm, minivan, yeah, green Beisian terrier m And he was like, great, I'm gonna go do that, and she was like, I never gave you the go ahead. It's been two months of this. This is not we've just started. We started talking about buying a car like a monster, right, definitely don't see this. But the point is that she's I just I just think that, Yeah, he's the one that wants to drive it. Yeah, she should probably let her be a part of the process as much as she wants to be. So I think she was. She picked the car and the color, and then he went and bought it because they set up. Hey, you hate talking to the dealership, you hate doing this stuff. You picked the car, you picked the color. I went and got it for you. But she also probably hates being rushed into something that she didn't. You know what the question is, what is rushing after what? Whatever she decides, he doesn't get the decide. So if he's paying for the car, he doesn't get to decide. He's a galorest. Oh my god, this is one where I was paying for it together there and it's gonna be her car and they made the decision. So she she I don't think you get anything absolutely wrong, but I definitely think that, Like but the where she says, whoa, I didn't you know, Yeah, I think we should have a little I think this was a little too much like this is women are this way, and look how dumb the man is. And it's like his wife picked the car and picked the color, and he went and bought it, So I don't think the show reduces it too. I think it did. I mean, I think it's time. I think it was. I think it was a little like this is what women want kids, and then it's like you don't know women at all, and it's like, okay, well it's one bragging about how much men are this way, and men are people of action and we go out and do things. So I think that's the argument that's under my not that he's a bad person, right, but it's us would have made more sense that but again, you're not rushing into something after two months of deciding what it is. That was my problem with it. It's like, hey, if the line had simply been, hey, have you picked your car yet? Are you kidding? We decided to get it on Friday, give me a chance to look. But it wasn't. It was you've been looking at this for two months. Now you've gone, I want a minivan. Hey it's the mini. Meant it showed how like stupid the man was. Because what I didn't enjoy about it is how waffly it made. That's what I mean women. Yeah, and then it was like, you know, exactly, there's stereotypes something else, but you know what kind of wants for me. Yes, but I know, but and I like those things in the past though. But like a lot of things in Boy Meets World, I thought the end game was pretty great. Like I thought the like therapy session at the end, it was funny. It was it was funny, and it was like and I love the way both both Betsy and Rusty play it for realism, like they play true right, And I don't know, I just you know, because I had similar stuff with like the way Sean and Corey are in the beginning of this episode is pretty despicable, right, Like it's pretty awful, like the way that they're talking about women and well sure that's the point. They get to a place where they're you know, made to look like the asses that they've been and it's like, okay, good, Like so I feel like, you know, I don't have that same kind of I don't. I just we've done, we've it's it's it's a sitcom. I get that. But we've always talked about how one of the things that we avoided, especially with Alan and Amy, was kind of like he's the dumb husband and I know where it is it's like, it's never really that. And I felt like it kind of hit that this same a little bit where it was like, you know, because I didn't tell him, he wouldn't know, and it's like, Okay, I just it this thing that I was so proud that they'd avoided for so long. I felt like they kind of leaned in. Yeah, I guess it is kind of punitive towards him because he ends up being at the end having to give in and go Yeah, of course, I guess I need therapy because I went out and bought you the car you wanted, like yikes. And it was just I don't know if I get the sitcom thing, but I loved how we avoided that for so long, and it just seemed like this episode was kind of I don't it seemed I didn't like that. I didn't like it very much. I just didn't get how it was that big a deal. It was right, that was the thing. It just I don't know. Yeah, I would have rather it be about um a very big purchase without including me, because that's that's a conversation almost every married couple can have at some point time, and it's or it's a if you're going to avoid the situation. It's a conversation you have many times throughout the course of your marriage. What do we spend money on? Who do we have to ask permission before we spend money? How do we do ours? Our money all joint? Is it is some of it separate? So yeah, I mean I can see the idea if we just look at it as he made a very large purchase in her mind without getting her approval. Even if he so he miss interpreted exactly, he misses her out was a good thing, and she wanted to be more involved, obviously. That's if we just if we can reduce what happened to that that he thought he got approval, She says, you did not. I was not involved. I never I didn't know this was happening. And so now there was a very large purchase made that she feels like she didn't have input on, and I guess that was I guess maybe it's a writing thing for me because when they point out that she's been looking at the car for two months, right, she's now picked a color and an interior, then you're fully involved in the decision. Yeah, you made the decision, so it has to tie into the a storyline which has to do with you know, so every guess. I guess it's just a writing anything for me where it was like they could have a couple lines here or there, could have changed that entire thing for me. So Amy is upset. There, okay, Amy is upset Allan impulsively about the car and Alan doesn't get it. Amy asks what is it with men? They are always in a rush. Amy wants to talk in the other room, and that's a big uh oh from the audience. Everyone knows. And then when they leave, Corey tells Eric about Sean's dating plan, and Eric says, this is happening because Corey is safe. He's like bubble rap. Corey says, well, women think he's dangerous. Eric asks if he means Grandma, and Corey says, yeah, but also Linda, And then he talks about the fact that they kissed on the lips at Chubby's and then as excited, Eric says, everything is okay. Then he's not safe anymore. This is great because Corey and Sean both have girlfriends. Then Eric throws a wrench into the plan because Sean may break up with his girlfriend at any moment, and then he would ruin everything, and Eric has to tell him, you have to decide who is more important, your best friend or your girlfriend. You get Eric is, yet we still don't know what he is at this point, he's like was a ladies man. Now he's kind of just the your older brother. But then and it's like we're still finding him, I think, yeah, as as they're still trying to figure out how to write for Eric. Yeah, there's definitely there's definitely a little bit of the same way. How the house is set up is based on convenience. Yeah, who Eric is is a little bit of a character of convenience. Who do we need right now, Batt'll be let's give that to Eric. Absolutely. And like you said that with with Ryder, with your character, where you've had the mailbox, like we've established who he is. Eric never really had that kind of like here's what it is. We've established him, so now it's a foregone conclusion how we want him to be in the future. It's just I think you're right, exactly right, Danielle. He's he's he's an MCS your character at this yeah point, he's a character of convenience. And then we fade into mister Finie's classroom, Corey's face becomes mister Finie's face, and Nice dissolve. Mister Feinie continues to talk about the Cuban missile crisis and President Kennedy staring at the destruction of the world, and then Corey yells to give him a break because it's his first big crisis. And I thought, it's a It's interesting because this is I think maybe the first time the storyline is about history tying into oh yeah, as opposed to literature. Interesting even though we have Hamlet, it's not really it was really about Hamlet. It's about this history and how it's tying together. So mister Feeney tells Corey to put his head down. It's naptime, and then we're in the school hallway. Stacey tells Sean she wants to see a romantic foreign film, not something where someone's head blows up. And Stacy ends up thinking they may have less in common than she thought, and Sean says they don't have much as much in common as he thought either. Dumb Sean. I like dumb Sean. Okay, also to have dumb thing to have an argument over. But you know, maybe guys are spending too much time together over the last four days. I don't know is why you're supposed to date him on a multiple group of people? Ye, lots of people apparently at this age. Yeah. Corey overhears the conversation and tries to help, but Stacy walks away, somewhat ending the honeymoon phase of their relationship. They broke up over what movies they like. Sean thanks Corey for keeping Linda on deck. Looks like he's going to need her after all, and Corey panics and says no, Sean can't live without Stacy, and his voice gets higher and he becomes more panicked, and he tells Sean to goes. He tells Sean to go after Stacy, but then he runs after her himself. Really liked her, Yeah, he set it up with Corey, really likes her. I know. The thing that was so interesting about it is it's like I also I also thought in this moment, I thought, writer, it looked like you had a bit of a knowing smile on your face and not knowing how this episode turned out because I had no memory of it at all. You do then later know that he likes Linda and I liked that as the actor. I really sensed that you showed a little bit that you recognized what was happening in the moment that as he was raising his voice and he was telling you to go after Stacy, you were like, he likes Linda. I don't know if I got that. I noticed it. Did rider almost break You had it as a knowing smile. I had it as I thought he was about to start laughing. Interesting, I was about to start laughing. I didn't catch that. Yeah, I think you gave a little bit of like a It was a little bit of like a mom, what's going on with Corey? Exactly where? Right? And so? And I liked that because in the moment I thought it, and then later when it comes back, I go, oh, I saw I saw the moment it happened for him. I picked it up. So we're in Chubby's. Stacey is angrily talking to Chubby trying to order a salad, and Chubby says, where do you think you are? The sizzler, and then Corey runs up behind her and tells her how to order the turkey Chubby with everything. Corey says, it's so weird to see her without Sean. He sees them as a couple, even though they've only been dating for four days. He says it feels more like five. Stacy says she doesn't even want to hear the name Sean, so Corey changes his name to Merle when talking about him. Um, he says, them arguing tore him apart, and she says that's so sweet, and Corey says she should really give Merrell a chance and go out for him for like, go out with him for like a year or two a year two. And then Linda comes over and sees Corey sitting in a booth with Stacy holding her hand and telling her how to order at Chubby's. The girls commiserate and call it his routine. Did he teach you how to order? Like so funny? Corey says, I don't have a routine. I don't have boom. Yes, the boom, the boom came out, the boom came Yes, that guys that got the boom. Yeah. When he is he does the he does kind of boom, double fist pumps. I don't think it doubled. I think it was just once. I don't have the boom. I thought he did kind of like I don't think it was a one. It was I did see that. Okay, good Uh the girls say he's not innocent, but Corey swears he's a new newborn lamb and then Ben's so funny. Yep, that was really funny. One thing I noticed about that is still going on and I wrote this specifically down it's still really all Ben carrying this show. Yeah, I mean, he still has it all on his shoulders. The entire show is Ben stressed out. Like watching Corey I was exhausted for and just like, oh my god. It literally felt like he was running, running around juggling plates. It was just like he was just like, oh my god, he's still he's he's still killing it, and it's like this is all still on Ben. That's crazy, I know. Also we have to say this, the lamb sound is like the ultimate Ben Savage joke. Even loves sounds, impressions of like weird noises, and people do like this what he would be doing behind scenes all the time. It's like, yeah, he weird noises to make us just random sounds like he would just he would just pick up on things. I remember pointed it out to him once. I was like, Ben why do you always just obsessed with weird sounds? Or and he was just so good at it and he didn't always get to do it because I know, I think as the show went later on, Corey starts having weirder voices like do you remember when he in Maitland confronts him and he hadn't Yeah, yeah, right, like his ability to just do weird sounds or like tricks with his voice that You're just like what, I don't know why, but that's the funniest thing I've ever heard, this Lamb Bowman who lost it? But I'm pretty sure Ben is the one who introduced me to the Adam Sandler comedy CDs. Of course, yea and the Jerky Boys, which Dustin listen to the Jerky Boys and the Adam Sandler all those like exactly, yeah, he loves that. That. Yeah, he as a kid, that was I was big in our lives um. And then Linda and Stacy both say poor Sean, assuming that Corey is scamming them away from their original crush, and Sean walks up just in time. Sean asks the girls to leave for a second, and both the girls seem very into him again. One says I'll see you later, and then Linda's kisses him on the cheek and says, and I'll see you after that. Wow wow, yikes. Yeah, the first kisses You've got the Riz guys love it. Corey confronts Shawn about being safe and like bubble wrap. Sean knows Corey likes Linda and says, well, that wasn't part of the plan. Corey goes off about Sean's plan, detailing it word for word, and the girls are behind him, listening to every word, both of them. Right, they're both there. Now, this was in like a lot of things, I guess, but I feel like, in particular, wasn't this a Billy Crystal bit in something where it's like they're behind someone's right, baby, It's it's like six cliquers city Slickers. Well, he does one in city Slickers like a repetitive joke. It is just this just felt very familiar to me, and I did like it, like it's funny, but it's also it felt like it's already kind of a tired joke. Yeah, it's an old it's a very old joke. There's behind me, isn't he. Yeah, it's very it's very old. Both to him right. Stacy says she forgot her purse and had to come back. Corey hands it to her and she hits both of the guys with it. The girls are very mad and everyone in Chubby's calls them scum in the unison, which is what Aaron remembered, and then Sewan wants to start fresh and they shouldn't treat the girls as objects. Sean says he'll thumb wrestle for the girls, and then Stacy hits him one more time. As everyone claps, Sean bows, but then Corey explains, no, they're clapping because they hate us. Sean then yells and same to you, which it's funny, funny, I like it. Corey and Sean then sit in a booth saying they miss the girls, but now Sean respects Corey because he's dangerous and he can't be trusted around the girls he likes, which I was like, guess the lesson of this show. I don't really know what we've learned. I'm not really sure what point Hamlet, we've learned that if we go back to the Cuban missile crisis and the choice between I mean, you know, I heard Michael Jacobs once say that the thing that he writes over and over again and all of his shows. And this was from him during a panel that we were on and at a film festival, Our Television Best. He said, My he's like, my recurring theme is the love triangle between two male friends and a woman, Like the idea of like how do you navigate having a girlfriend and having a best friend best male friend? And it's true, like that is, yeah, the primary concern of boy Me's world. Like if you think overall, it's like there's you know, how do you love to Panga but also be best friends with Sean? And so it's already here, right, even without it being to Panga. It's like and you know, there are episodes where it lands where it's more about the relationship with the girl, and then their episodes like this one where it's really just about how two guys can be friends, you know, and like how do we navigate being friends and dating well by treating women horribly and still respecting each other in the end. But look, I just what I don't understand is how does this in particular seem as though to Corey he's now gained the respect of Sean, so he up until this point has felt like he's never had the respect of Sean, and then the actual way he feels respected is because oh, I can no longer trust you around females. I like, because you might kiss them, you'll make the moves us. I think you just answered your own question Danielle's Yeah, that's how okay. I just I feel like we have seen so much more respect shared between these two truly incredible friends. Yeah. I yearned for the your Corey. I'm Sean. Yeah, we are always going to be you know. That ending of that episode kind of beat as opposed to you. Also, this was one of the first episodes where the teachers essentially taught nothing. Yeah, there was no lesson from the teachers either. There was no I mean, he could correlate. Kennedy was deciding what to do in the Cuban missile crisis. So that's like dating your best friend's girlfriend. I mean, I get what he's talking about where it's his first crisis, right, but FENI didn't impart any wisdom. Turn it in't impart any wisdom. There was no you know, they kind of learned for themselves that Sean can't be around a woman. Yeah, schitzoid. Yes, that was Yeah, that was dismissive description of am. I would have actually preferred the idea of like, well, we may not have any girls here, but at least you know how to order, like, let's sake, make a joke out of it. Let's order a turkey chubby, let's share, you know, like something like, well, yeah, you know, we may have lost out on one good thing, but it's still you and me. And if this is as bad as it gets, you know, if if no, if I never have a partner in my life, but I always have you. Just something I guess a little more positive reading on it, in that Sean has been awful to Corey in the beginning of the episode, yeah, not realizing how awful he was being, just being dismissive of his friend. And then now he's not going to be a dismissive of his friends. He's not going to be like, you know, like if we just take it from that point of view of like, oh, I totally took advantage of you being a nice guy, like you being my friend, and you know, now I realized that I probably shouldn't have done that. It doesn't really come out that way, right, right, and I appreciate that perspective. And for Corey, he not feeling safe is a win for him, so he also from his own perspective, is like, yeah, danger boy again. Yeah, I'm a little danger boy. Yeah okay. I I like your idea of finishing it with a joke, though, could have been something like all right, come on, I'll get you turkey Chubby, and Sean goes, wow, that really is your only move, like something like that, and then you walk away, you know, like that's it's just better. Yeah, but it is time machine. Yeah okay. And then we're in the tag. We're at a car dealership. Alan and Amy are at the dealership trying to return the van because of a miscommunication. The car dealer suddenly becomes a therapist working through their marriage. Tell me about the inner Amy, and the dealer then suggests that they see him weekly. And I think this guy might have done more than one Boy Meats World episode because I really funny and I think I worked with him. I want to say he did another episode of the show. I could be wrong, but I swear he came back. I think he did perfect. He's so good. It was great. Yeah, I mean one thing I'll definitely say is it wouldn't surprise me if he comes back. We Michael Jacobs is really good about reusing actors that he likes working with. I mean we've seen already multiple different actresses and actor I mean Adam Scott, you know, played Senior and then still came back and played Griff.
