Do you remember what they called Jim. 00:00:07 Speaker 2: I've thus forgot what they called Jim. 00:00:10 Speaker 3: No, I didn't read that ship. 00:00:11 Speaker 4: Oh okay, Huckleberry called him and word Jim. 00:00:14 Speaker 3: Nigga Jim, yeah or that word. It was like, I will not read this. 00:00:19 Speaker 5: Rory put it down. Chapter one. It's like a mad live You get to fill in the blank. It's like blank, Jim. Roy's like, nope, not me, my good old pal, Jim, this. 00:00:30 Speaker 1: Book no mistake. 00:00:44 Speaker 3: Be calm, so numb. Welcome to a new episode of New Rory and Mall. I am Mall, I'm Roy. 00:00:52 Speaker 6: I'm sorry about yelling your ear people. That was just my way of getting the Royd rage out. 00:00:57 Speaker 2: What does that rank on rock songs that black people like. 00:01:00 Speaker 3: Oh, that's top, that's top, that's top ten. 00:01:03 Speaker 5: Does jay Z doing the collab have a lot of weight in that or is that just purely that record no Jay Stamp. 00:01:08 Speaker 4: I think it does. 00:01:09 Speaker 2: I think the Jay Stamp helped, Yeah, but I think that was going that was crossing over regardless. 00:01:14 Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a great record. 00:01:15 Speaker 3: Jay only did it because he liked that record. Yeah, can we he liked that record. 00:01:20 Speaker 2: Let's let's put a Patreon topic to go to top ten rock records that black people like. That could be a Patreon conversation. 00:01:26 Speaker 5: I like that. 00:01:28 Speaker 2: Anyways, let's start the episode. 00:01:30 Speaker 3: How are you feeling, man? I'm cool, you look good? 00:01:32 Speaker 5: You think so? 00:01:33 Speaker 7: Some sleep? 00:01:33 Speaker 2: I did actually get a little bit of sleep. I got a haircut too. 00:01:36 Speaker 3: Oh that's what I'm sorry. I didn't notice. Do you guys get offended when your friends don't notice it? No? 00:01:41 Speaker 2: I just my hair was longer than it had ever been in quite some time. So I'm a little offended you didn't notice that. 00:01:45 Speaker 3: I'm sorry about that. 00:01:46 Speaker 2: But a regular haircut, I wouldn't expect you. 00:01:48 Speaker 5: Okay. 00:01:48 Speaker 2: The grays were popping out the side like you would not fucking really coming in coming in? No, they're here. 00:01:54 Speaker 3: Are you embracing it though? Yeah? Men, we don't embrace out gray. 00:01:58 Speaker 2: I don't mind the grays in the beard. They're they're sprinkled in there, a little bit sprinkled when the sides were like that. Oh yeah, No, feeling that it's time to time to get the fade back. Gotta gotta tape of the side. 00:02:09 Speaker 3: Man, I think the gray is kind of like it's it's it's like a stamp. I'd like to let people know this. I'm seasoned. I've been here for a while. 00:02:15 Speaker 5: Salt and ginger. 00:02:16 Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been here for a while. 00:02:17 Speaker 2: Well, let's let's make it a race thing. 00:02:19 Speaker 3: Love it. 00:02:19 Speaker 2: White people don't do well with kind of gray. We either have to go full silver fox mode or not have grays at all. Like that in between gray area just looks like you're going through some things. 00:02:31 Speaker 3: Yeah, it looks like you stretched out. 00:02:32 Speaker 1: Now. 00:02:32 Speaker 2: I feel like black people when they get just a little you know, salt and pepper and the beard, it looks great. They can transition well with that. 00:02:39 Speaker 3: I got a few grays in the beard, in the hair. I'm not mad at it. I embrace it. 00:02:42 Speaker 2: I can't believe I grade before more. 00:02:45 Speaker 5: Yeah. I was gonna say, mall you. No, I I had a few noticed. 00:02:49 Speaker 2: I can see some back here. 00:02:50 Speaker 3: Yeah, well that's damn wow. Wow, that's like my birthmarks. 00:02:55 Speaker 2: No, I'm not talking about the I'm all right, some back there there's a whole patch. 00:03:00 Speaker 3: No, that's that's from my vide lago. 00:03:01 Speaker 5: No, but above the vid yeah, residual. 00:03:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, that was the original vid. 00:03:07 Speaker 3: Yeah, that was that was the original vid. 00:03:09 Speaker 2: I feel like we owned a lago nineteen. 00:03:11 Speaker 3: It's not where do y'all. 00:03:12 Speaker 6: That COVID only came like existed after we got rid of to pay phones in New York City. 00:03:17 Speaker 3: Uh, and when we had payphones, there was no COVID. 00:03:20 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm trying to are the. 00:03:21 Speaker 6: Nastiest things ever, like random people just using the same phone. 00:03:25 Speaker 2: Putting it on their face. 00:03:26 Speaker 4: You all use the same toilet, who used the same public restrooms? 00:03:30 Speaker 5: You sit down, we still use it a urinal yeah, and not the. 00:03:37 Speaker 6: Same as I definitely ship on flights, all flights as wild. Yes, how many times. 00:03:42 Speaker 5: They're like we're boarding now is like I'll hold it. 00:03:44 Speaker 6: Yeah, you know because Editing is the guy that if he has like an eight a m flight, he goes to shake shack. 00:03:48 Speaker 3: Yeah what is what? 00:03:51 Speaker 2: And that's a specific to JFK thing for our international listeners. They have shakeshack at JFK at six a m. The line is around the court. I don't And it's like they're not getting like a breakfast sandwich, that getting a double burger with shake sauce and a milkshit. 00:04:05 Speaker 3: That's why America's obese. 00:04:07 Speaker 5: Yeah, drop a heater on the way to Miami. 00:04:09 Speaker 3: Yu. 00:04:10 Speaker 2: The nastiest thing I ever saw was I'd got off a flight at JFK, and the person in front of me, you know how, like sometimes you just end up following people to go off your flight because you're going in the same place, veered off and went in the shakeshack line to the airport he landed at. 00:04:22 Speaker 4: That's so weird. 00:04:23 Speaker 2: That's like, come on, man, like bro, and we were coming from like Atlanta. It's not like he was on a twelve hour flight flight. 00:04:29 Speaker 6: I never understood how people like the first thing they do when they're taking a flight in the morning is get a burger. 00:04:35 Speaker 3: That's weird, like a burger. Why not just some fruit, like juice, a smoothie, something like a burger. It is what it is. That's why we all have a heart disease and clogg daughteries and shit like that. 00:04:47 Speaker 2: Well, and I think once or twice in my life I probably probably had to do it. Well LA flight probably. 00:04:53 Speaker 1: I've definitely taken six dollars. 00:04:55 Speaker 4: Yeah, you're not taking a ship. 00:04:57 Speaker 6: I've never I took a ship one time on the plane because my stofe, you don't eat, you know I do eat. But I'm just saying, like to take a ship before I get to the airport in the morning, Like, and that's it, Like I don't need to ship once I'm on the flight. 00:05:09 Speaker 4: Too, Like no, I mean it's not like I don't take my routine ship on a plane. 00:05:13 Speaker 2: And I was just like, Okay, I got a ship, brings the newspaper, chuck some laxatives before it gets I just. 00:05:19 Speaker 3: Don't understand that. Like if you before you leave your house in the morning to go to the airport, yeah, take a ship. 00:05:23 Speaker 4: Yeah, but sometimes I have breakfast and ship. 00:05:25 Speaker 1: Sometimes I'm always running late, so that's my I'm always running late, packing late, so I don't get the chance. Sometimes I forget to people. 00:05:31 Speaker 5: So you forget the ship if I like running, like. 00:05:35 Speaker 3: Forgetting your kid at the house, like when you leave it, I don't can't forget the ship home alone. 00:05:40 Speaker 2: Parents, they need to do they did. 00:05:41 Speaker 3: All they had to do was take a ship. They're like, oh, where's Kevin. Meanwhile they should have flight, Like damn forgot the kids. Nobody took a ship that morning. That was the problem. 00:05:50 Speaker 6: Well all right, Well, we officially know that it's getting warm in New York City because our Groundhog, which is the Summer Jam lineup, has been announced. 00:05:57 Speaker 2: I thought it was stopping frisk. 00:05:58 Speaker 6: No, I'm a jam lineup has been announced. I don't know how I feel about this one, but I do. 00:06:05 Speaker 3: I do. 00:06:06 Speaker 6: I'm enjoining the announcement only because we do know it's officially Summers on the way, and it is celebrating fifty years of hip hop, which is a great thing and an amazing thing in itself. 00:06:16 Speaker 3: So I was excited about that. The lineup though, well, let's talk about it. 00:06:20 Speaker 2: Let's let's start with some love. Hot ninety seven gets a lot of shit for not supporting New York artists. 00:06:26 Speaker 3: They do. 00:06:26 Speaker 2: Outside of one glow Rilla, that's it, right, everyone else is a New York artist. Toiler Race from Jersey. Yeah, so it's an all New York City lineup. Cool, celebrating fifty years of hip hop. I'm sure the Locks are going to bring out a bunch of New York City legends. 00:06:40 Speaker 3: Hope. 00:06:41 Speaker 2: So Hot ninety seven needs to tell the rest of you'll to shut the fuck up. Do they not support well, this New York artist? 00:06:46 Speaker 6: This is definitely a New York heavy lineup. New York is represented very well with this lineup, that is for sure. But there are some other things to talk about. The main thing that stuck out is the fact that it is now moving from Medlife Stadium in New Jersey, which was a capacity of eighty two thousand people, to the UBS Arena in Long Island, which is nineteen thousand. So what does that say about the Summer Jam event? Sixty thousand less seats, the lineup, the drawing power. 00:07:14 Speaker 2: Maybe I think it just speaks to whatever the budget that MS probably gave them, Yeah, which I mean, I know for a long time Summer Jam was a big money maker for them and they would put the bread up and get it back. But yeah, I think it's just they didn't get the budget they deserved for Summer Jam. It's just not what it was. Why, Probably because their income in general, like when they go to accounting meetings, that they just don't have the money to put up to do say a met Life, because if you go over one minute in MetLife, it's fucking a quarter million dollars. So it's probably just a nightmare. Even though festivals are getting bigger and performances are becoming more important for artists. I just don't think Hot ninety seven being they're not on iHeart where iHeart can take a budget from another thing and just give it. Yeah, MS, I think Emma still owns them. You let me know flex with the checks that he gives you. Are they from mister Flex? Are they from MS? 00:08:06 Speaker 4: They're from mister Flex? But yes, I'm sure MS owns the. 00:08:10 Speaker 2: F flex on your flex flex Nay. Yeah, I just don't think they have the capital to be able to put together a met Life show. And the money that artists are getting from festivals right now, you know, they're getting way over what they typically do when Verizon is hosting a certain festival. Hot ninety seven projects doesn't have the money into one fund met Life to be able to afford the artists that they want. 00:08:40 Speaker 3: I think that's I'm leaning more towards that. 00:08:42 Speaker 6: I think the fact that the Summer Jam Festival over the years has not been able to either book the bigger acts. 00:08:51 Speaker 3: And and I think it speaks a lot. 00:08:52 Speaker 6: I think it speaks to the fact that just hip hop in general is now you know, the artists that are you know, I guess clickworthy names. 00:08:59 Speaker 3: They're just not stadium draws. 00:09:01 Speaker 6: Yeah, they don't draw eighty thousand people like you know they like it's like the festival stage. This is now like quote unquote festival stage. Now, this went from a stadium stage to the festival stage that used to be outside of the stadium at MetLife. This is what this feels like now. It's like, Okay, we have to condense this, we have to downsize this a little bit only because again, a lot of these artists, while they do have records that are you know, trending on social media and TikTok and things like that, it's not gonna draw a stadium sized crowd to come out paid to see these artists only perform one or two records that. 00:09:34 Speaker 2: They have, right, And it just kind of sucks because, you know, Summer Jam is such a staple to us that this has turned into like, you know, one of those nights at the Barclays and they'll put together like a quick lineup, promoted two weeks before, sell twenty thousand tickets, and you know it's not you don't stop what you're doing that year, right the way you may have for Summer Jam. Before. 00:09:54 Speaker 1: Let's talk about what the lineup actually is, and tell the listeners who's headlining, and all right, well. 00:09:59 Speaker 3: The line of Cardi B is headlining. Shout out to Cardi Ice, Spice. 00:10:03 Speaker 6: Coyler Ray, Glow Riller, Lola Brook, French Montana, Favo, Little TJ. And the celebration of fifty years of hip hop with the Locks. And we do assume that the Locks will bring out other acts to join them on stage. So the lineup, it's not it's a New York lineup, New York heavy, even though obviously Coyler Ray isn't from New York, it's Jersey. 00:10:22 Speaker 3: Same thing, it's ot cousin. 00:10:23 Speaker 6: But so, how ninety seven did the right thing in representing New York, the New York artists, supporting New York artists, giving them a stage, giving them the festival. But again a lot of these artists to put them in front of eighty two thousand people and expect them to sell out out. I don't think that that is it makes sense financially. 00:10:43 Speaker 4: So now saying that right, seeing how you guys aren't as excited about the lineup, does that say a lot about ninety seven or how the music world is in New York right now. 00:10:53 Speaker 3: That says a lot about the state of music, the state of hip hop. 00:10:56 Speaker 2: No, I actually think the opposite. I think this speaks great New York is really doing because a few years ago, you couldn't do one, two, three, four, seven acts that are from New York and that are relevant. 00:11:08 Speaker 3: Especially you're the masses. 00:11:10 Speaker 2: From a radio standpoint. You could do it maybe from a underground standpoint. 00:11:13 Speaker 3: No, you could. 00:11:13 Speaker 6: You could have did seven orders from New York, but they would have been on the festival stage. 00:11:17 Speaker 2: Fair. But I'm saying like relevant to the kids, not just the legacy acts. Like I loved when Summer Jam would just throw Wu Tang randomly on the lineup. It's great, but that would be the representation for New York that year because everything was was in the South or somewhere else. But I think this speaks this speaks great to New York City. 00:11:34 Speaker 3: Yeah, but I don't mind. I don't mind Hot ninety seven Summer. 00:11:36 Speaker 6: Jam not being a New York I mean, obviously support New York acts if they deserve, Like Cardies from New York. French is from New York, you know, five year Little TJ They're New York. The Lox is from New York. So it's like New York is supported. But I just think that summer jam, you know, for whatever reason, a lot of the big artists have their own festivals now. So maybe it's like they don't want to do a summer jam anymore because they have their festival this summer, you know what I mean. 00:12:01 Speaker 3: So it's kind of. 00:12:02 Speaker 6: Like it's other festivals. It might be booked for a festival on the West Coast, it might be booked for a festival. I just saw an amazing lineup for Napa Naple Blew. 00:12:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, I was that, you know, for this is the third, third year or second year that they have had probably the best. 00:12:15 Speaker 3: You know what I mean. 00:12:15 Speaker 6: So it's like a lot of festivals are popping up where artists already booked and artists are performing. 00:12:19 Speaker 3: They'd rather touch that stage than clauses too. 00:12:22 Speaker 6: Yeah, So it's just you know, it's it's it's a lot of it's a lot of very variables involved here. But the downside to me, of the of the venue is the biggest part, and let's just keep it real of the location is a little. 00:12:34 Speaker 2: That's what I wanted to get to after we discussed the lineup, the first thing I saw when it moved to Ubs Arena, which is at Belmont, was not oh shit, they downsized, It was why did they pick this fucking arena? Do that ship at Barclays, which is used to having acts like that go to that arena? Yeah, let's get it. Let's not get it twisted. This is in Long Island, but not really in Long Island. This is one block away from Queens Village. This is ten minutes away from East New York. I don't know if the Elmont pd is ready for what's about to happen. With this being all New York City artists, It's not like it's a bunch of Southern artists that we're just doing it in New York. Everyone here has a crew, and that crew has a crew who has a crew. And it's also inside, and it's more difficult to get into an indoor arena than it is to get the outside shit. Let's just be honest, easier sneaking the shit. That parking lot is going to be the most dangerous place on Earth. Nikes, this shit is going to be terrifying. I'm sure they're gonna have State troopers, but Elmont p D would probably have to take the bulk of a lot of this shit. 00:13:41 Speaker 1: So ry. 00:13:42 Speaker 2: This is walking distance from Queen's Village. 00:13:45 Speaker 1: Explain what Queen's Village is to our non New York listeners. 00:13:49 Speaker 2: Queens Village has some areas that can get a little dicey. Uh, that's it, just dicey. 00:13:54 Speaker 3: Two weeks ago, one of you can get diced. 00:13:57 Speaker 2: Two weeks ago, one of the biggest gang raids in New York City history happened five minutes away from where Ubs Sreena Is Baisley Projects is. You could get there in fifteen minutes maybe less. Yeah, this is the area where the biggest gang raid ever just happened. And they're going to put a full New York City lineup, which we've seen, we've seen the music videos. I know it's all prop guns, it's all for show. 00:14:23 Speaker 3: Yeah, I understand that. 00:14:24 Speaker 2: But let's just say maybe in a world it's not all of those crews plus just regular gangs are going to go to this. 00:14:33 Speaker 3: It's a sticky situation. 00:14:36 Speaker 2: And you have to also understand. Summer Jam, of course, always brought out that crowd, and that crowd did travel all the way to the meadowlands to go. It was always a Little Dicey in that parking lot of Summer Jam as well, but it held eighty two thousand people, so it was easier to get a ticket and those people let's go into the show. Yeah, nineteen thousand tickets. You know how many people are not going to get in? You know how many people are gonna be in that parking lot drunk, pissed off? Yeah, in the same area I do. This is the most dangerous shit ever. I'm happy for this New York City lineup. I'm terrified for this day. 00:15:13 Speaker 6: It's gonna be It's gonna be one of those events where, you know, we want everybody to be safe, we want everything to go off without any problems and any you know, unfortunate circumstances. But the location where it is, you know, it's we know how hip hop can be with everybody in their cruise, their entourages. I mean, I just I don't know, man, It's just something. Something just doesn't feel right. It doesn't feel safe. 00:15:39 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:15:39 Speaker 1: I was gonna ask you guys gonna go. I would like to go. 00:15:42 Speaker 5: No, there's no at home, no are you? 00:15:46 Speaker 6: But to be fair, I haven't gone to Summer Jam in years. Those every year I just I just haven't gone in years. I haven't been a Summer jam years, not because it's just one again. Last year didn't That was probably one of the few years in the in a while where it didn't rain. But most years for Summer Jaen, that was the ongoing thing. Every year it rains in the stadium. It's thunder lightning, pouring rain, and you're just sitting there. They stopped to show for a while. Everybody's inside by the concession stands hoping that it stops raining. So I just stopped going after a while. This year, it's it's in an arena. It's not out in a stadium that's you know, no roof or anything like that, but it's where it's at the location. It's a smaller venue, and it's just I don't know. Something just doesn't feel right, Something doesn't feel like it's someone that was Like if somebody was to invite you to a party and you know it's in a dice neighborhood, it's like, you'll call me when you get there, let me know what you know, what I mean, like, let me know what it looked like when you get in there. 00:16:42 Speaker 2: As also, this is in legitimately a residential neighborhood like the meadowlands around everything is either swamp or highway or just empty fucking land. 00:16:54 Speaker 3: Yeah, this is legitimately. 00:16:55 Speaker 2: In a residential neighborhood on the border of Elmont Cambria Heights in Queens Village. So escaping that parking lot with a cross island already going to be a traffic jam that's gonna spill into all the neighborhoods around. 00:17:09 Speaker 6: Yeah, people gonna park in those neighborhoods, walk to the arena. 00:17:13 Speaker 2: It's this is gonna spill all into the This is just not a good idea. 00:17:17 Speaker 1: It's give me a nice ghetto good time. 00:17:19 Speaker 3: And like, listen people, people, it's gonna be that. For sure. 00:17:22 Speaker 2: People could say, all right, Barclays Center, it's in Brooklyn, Like, wouldn't that be worse. They are equipped for that. They know what time it is and there's bench shootings in the Barclays. But they prepared and made the Barclays knowing where it was, knowing the people that were gonna be there. The security shit is fucking insane. Not to say it won't be here. I just don't think UBS has ever had this type of event with the type of crowd specifically that's gonna come the one. I don't mean that in the way you guys think. I mean, I think actual gang members. 00:17:52 Speaker 3: The one thing that was gonna the one thing that was gonna bring me to one. 00:17:55 Speaker 6: Ago is the Locks. Yeah, like I thought about it, I'm like, damn the Locks. 00:18:00 Speaker 2: This staff is used to Islander games. Yeah, like to me again, Yeah, the Angry Long Island Whites are pretty rowdy. 00:18:08 Speaker 5: They're pretty roddy right now too. 00:18:10 Speaker 3: That was it. That was the draw for me though. The Locks. 00:18:12 Speaker 6: Like I looked at the lineup, I was like, I might want to go just to see a Locks perform do a lot of their records. But yeah, I don't know if Styles and kids and She's gonna get me to go to to the UBS arena. I don't think I'm think I'm gonna ship out on this one. But it is a good thing that, you know, they be able to put a good lineup together. Shout out the Cardi B headlining. Shout out to Little TJ. You know, he went through a lot of the fact that he's even able to be on the stage and perform in his healthcare again, Shout out to him and shout out to you know, just all of the all of the other acts, shout out the loller Brook. 00:18:43 Speaker 3: You know what I mean. She she's she's popping. She's hot right now, that's. 00:18:45 Speaker 2: Another thing to look for her. 00:18:47 Speaker 5: Yeah. 00:18:47 Speaker 2: I think it's great. I think it's great that Little TJ is on this bill and it's healthy and it's able to perform. 00:18:51 Speaker 3: Yeah. So if nothing else, just congrats to those you know, those acts and those artists. 00:18:55 Speaker 2: That kind of No, I'm not shitting on Little TJ. I think that that's amazing. But we've seen publicly that there seems to be an internal beef on why he was harmed. 00:19:07 Speaker 3: Mhm. 00:19:09 Speaker 2: Has Little TJ been outside for real since? 00:19:12 Speaker 3: No, I don't think so. 00:19:13 Speaker 6: I mean he's been yet, He's performed, he's hit a couple of stages, but not like really outside of New York like that. 00:19:19 Speaker 3: I don't. I don't believe. 00:19:20 Speaker 6: I know that he did a video shoot. Was Ice Spice They did a video shoot. He had got arrested, I think in the mix of all of that. But other than that, I haven't. I haven't heard about Little TJ being out out And. 00:19:31 Speaker 2: I'm not saying Little TJ is a problematic artist that shouldn't be booked anything like that. Let's just go off what they've put out. Clearly there is some tension amongst entourages with Little TJ in New York City. 00:19:43 Speaker 6: He said that what was the what was the festival that year where a lot of the artists had got locked up? 00:19:48 Speaker 2: Rolling loud, rolling loud? 00:19:50 Speaker 5: Oh God, that was crazy. 00:19:51 Speaker 3: Yeah, that was sick. 00:19:53 Speaker 6: Hopefully this year again, nothing like that happens. Hoh, these guys got their you know, legal affairs and all that. They don't have any active warrants. 00:20:00 Speaker 2: But if you have an active warrant, you will be caught at this. 00:20:03 Speaker 6: Oh no, they're gonna catch you before you get inside. They're gonna they're gonna be there waiting for you. So have all your ship together. 00:20:08 Speaker 3: Don't be going. 00:20:09 Speaker 6: Don't even go over there if you don't have your legal you know, things to put in order. Your lawyers tell you everything is good. You don't have no active warrants and ain't nobody looking for you. If they are, stay your accid in the house. Don't go over it because they're gonna lock you up. 00:20:21 Speaker 2: You cannot escape Belmont easily. Jesus, I'm telling. 00:20:25 Speaker 3: You sound like Alcatraz. Yeah, y'all have you been there? Yeah, I've been. I've been over there. It's been years, but i've been. 00:20:30 Speaker 2: It's either a Cross Island or resident You can't get out. 00:20:34 Speaker 3: Of the traffic. The traffic getting out of Summer Jam and met life used to be crazy. Oh god, So imagine what. 00:20:40 Speaker 6: It's gonna be like in a residential area with traffic lights on every other corner. 00:20:43 Speaker 2: And Cross Island is a parking lot on a Tuesday at one am. Yeah, let alone at this time. 00:20:49 Speaker 6: Well, let's just see how it goes again. Hopefully everybody's safe. It will be beautiful if all of this goes off without any incidents, and you know, hip hop is able to come together, Summer Jam is able to go off without any you know, any crazy shit happening. But I don't know, man, Something just something feels just a little off, a little shaky, just a little shaky. It's like when you sit in the chair and you like, I feel like if I sit down too hard, this ship might break. 00:21:11 Speaker 3: It's like one of those it's what matter of fact you wanted this? 00:21:13 Speaker 6: You never sat on the chair and it was like one of them legs was kind of like one of those kind Yeah, you're like, nah man. 00:21:20 Speaker 2: You know when in Belly when Nas walks out of the barbershop and sees a Z there with his son, and then a Z looks around and says, you know, I'm about to blow done. That's what this feels like. 00:21:29 Speaker 3: Yeah, this feels like I'm walking to blow. It's definitely like I'm gonna leave. 00:21:32 Speaker 2: This looks very unsafe. It's good to see you, though, but I'm gonna leave. 00:21:35 Speaker 3: You know. 00:21:35 Speaker 6: But that that scene was crazy for a number of reasons. But I understand what you're saying. But either way, shout out to Summer Jam. It's officially getting warm again because that's our groundhole in New York City. 00:21:45 Speaker 2: So and watch it be beautiful and sunny when they do it inside. 00:21:49 Speaker 3: Oh absolutely, you know that that's our life works. 00:21:50 Speaker 2: For those that don't know Jam every single year. 00:21:58 Speaker 3: I love the fact that the Summer Jam is a heavy female. 00:22:01 Speaker 2: Presence representation of the times. 00:22:03 Speaker 6: Yeah, but I you know, why aren't we Why are we not pushing other female artists that are maybe just as if not more talented. 00:22:14 Speaker 2: By talent, You just mean by like your opinion of their talent level. Same talent level moving the same amount of units or have the same amount of attention. 00:22:25 Speaker 3: Yeah, but I don't put talent behind moving units. I put that. 00:22:28 Speaker 6: I put the units behind, the push, behind the machine, behind the industry pushing an artists that I don't equate that to talent. Like I feel like we don't see Tierra Whack enough. We don't get her on you know, stages, enough festivals enough, like. 00:22:45 Speaker 2: Don't I know, I know, don't you I'm sure will eventually be on all these lineups once TD wants to like let her out into the worlds rather than doing averse every eight months. Tira Wack I've seen on festival lineups. Tara Whack to me is more of a festival act than say Summer Jam, because Summer Jam tends to lean into radio, where Tierra Wack, I don't even think tries for radio. But a lot of the quote talented female EMCs wouldn't end up I think on a radio style festival in this way. But I mean not to say Tara Wack couldn't be on more festivals, but I have seen her on them. She does get some looks in that degree because that the festival crowd isn't the mainstream radio crowd and they would like Tara Whack, but I wouldn't see her on a summer jam per se at this time. I think you have to have like a hit. 00:23:37 Speaker 6: No, I'm not, I'm not. I'm not saying just summer jam. I'm saying, why don't we, you know, see the push behind of the talented dope female mcs, female rappers. 00:23:49 Speaker 2: Well, they don't really necessarily push talented male rappers either, so there's no way they would push talented female rappers. And I'll get misogynistic here. When the quote unquote talented EMC men get that push, it's because the hip hop heads, which are typically male dominated, push that artist. Women don't support the female EMCs like that from a massive standpoint. I'm not saying that they don't, you know, fill up their own tours, but from a larger sense like this, Yeah, women don't support female mcs like that. Well, And because mcs are usually supported by the underground or the hip hop head or the nerd, whatever the fuck you want to call it, that's typically male and men, for the most part, whether we like it or not, don't always lean into female rappers. We don't but you guys can all be this amazing people. I understand you all love every female artist, but we don't know. 00:24:43 Speaker 6: But when did that start though, because there was a time where, you know, it was all about who's dope, Like when Kim was out, Kim was Kim, but then it was Foxy doing her thing. Foxy had her push the women supported little like there was a time where there were a lot of dope MC's. 00:25:00 Speaker 3: They didn't sound alike, they didn't look alike, they didn't you. 00:25:03 Speaker 6: Know, they had their own everybody had their own wave, but everybody it seemed like it was more. 00:25:09 Speaker 3: Support for the dope female rappers. 00:25:12 Speaker 2: Well they also had, But I would say there is that as well to the level that Kim and Foxy were at. I think the female rappers are supported the way Kim and Foxy were if you're talking about the lyrical lyrical ones. 00:25:24 Speaker 1: So y'all weren't checking for Kim if she wasn't a part of who she was a part of. Y'all weren't checking for Eve if she wasn't a part of who she was a part of. Y'all weren't checking for none of these female rappers if they weren't a part of an all male crew. That's how they got that push, because you supported the entire crew. They were on the features, all of these things. These female rappers are not on an all male crew. They're coming out by themselves. It's a completely different. 00:25:46 Speaker 2: But also I would put Kim more towards a Cardi Lotto Glorrilla rather than a Tierra whack. And so I think that Glorilla, Lotto, Cardi are all getting the push, the same push that Kim got. Is there a more lyrical rapper you can think of from the little kim Era that didn't get. 00:26:07 Speaker 3: A push from from the kim Era. 00:26:10 Speaker 2: Yeah. Like, but I don't even think Jeanie Ray is super dope. I just don't even think she even cared to play the game to get a push. But even then, to Demarris's point, she was with the all male crew, she was running around black Star. 00:26:22 Speaker 6: Yeah, but I don't think that I don't think that you need like recruited Queen Latifa come from recruited Irvington. I mean, like MC light like there was there was like it wasn't always like that. It wasn't like female rappers and mcs didn't always need a cold sign or a stamp from a male dominant crew like that wasn't always a thing, but I think happened. 00:26:46 Speaker 2: They're getting the most push I think they've ever gotten right now though. Yeah, but lyrical ones aren't but lyrical rappers in general dark, No, we don't get that. 00:26:55 Speaker 3: You're saying lyrical. I'm just saying more talented, Okay, Like I'm not just saying it has to be a cool I'm just saying more talented. 00:27:01 Speaker 6: Like, there's a lot of talented female rappers that I feel like don't get the push that they deserve because it's like, Yo, she's dope like and her music is crazy. 00:27:10 Speaker 2: I mean, Tera Whack is a great example of that because she one can rap for real, She's very talented. She makes actual good songs in music. So yeah, I don't know what the disconnect is there. I don't know her personally or what her situations has been within business, but that would be one I do agree with. But other than that, I think female rappers have gotten the most push they've ever gotten in their lives. Yeah, matter of fact, I think some are getting pushes they don't deserve at all. 00:27:34 Speaker 3: No, a lot of them are getting pushes they don't deserve. 00:27:36 Speaker 1: But that's that's what the male rappers too. But that can go into the whole conspiracy of hip hop and what's being pushed by these record labels. Right, they're not pushing talent. They're not the rap that we hear on the radio these days. Very few artists until like we've spoken about our greats that we have from our era. These rappers are not talented, they don't have they're not talking about anything real or of substance. They're rapping the same. 00:27:59 Speaker 5: And she thinks they just moved. 00:28:00 Speaker 6: They just moved a summer jam festival from an eighty two thousand seat stadium to a nineteen thousand seat arena exactly because it's not you can you can you can trick the algorithms, you can do the TikTok thing and all of that, and it looks great on social media and things like that. That doesn't always translate into people buying a ticket and coming out, leaving their homes, getting dressed to come see you on the stage perform. Well, you know, we'll keep it on the loop and spind it. Girls will make you know, Instagram reels and things like that. To these records and things like that. But now when you say, hey, get dressed and then you know, get in your car and drive over there and pay money to go see that artist, they're like, no, I'm cool, And to me that's an issue. 00:28:39 Speaker 2: Okay, but a lot of what because. 00:28:41 Speaker 3: Like, where's the talent? 00:28:43 Speaker 6: We get the loop, we get the hooks on a loop on TikTok and it sounds you know, the caption is good, but where's the talent? 00:28:49 Speaker 3: Though? 00:28:50 Speaker 2: But as an anti TikToker, I will say I would rather see that type of shit at a festival or at an arena than I would some lyrical shit you unless there's a difference when we when. 00:29:00 Speaker 1: We went with j Cole did with Dreamville and he is a unicorn. 00:29:04 Speaker 3: But so that's my point, Okay, I like still matter. 00:29:09 Speaker 2: I like we went to go see Kendrick at Barclays. That was a performance in a show catered around all his lyrical amazing shit. With these types of festivals and shit, you don't get a crazy budget for creative You have to couldn't come with trucks unless you're the fucking headliner. You get thirty minutes, sometimes twenty, and you're going on stage sometimes the mics aren't even right, like, but it's a hard thing to pull off. 00:29:35 Speaker 3: So yeah, give. 00:29:36 Speaker 5: Me the. 00:29:37 Speaker 6: Don't do that because we know where Summer Jim used to be sure, we know the level it used to be at that. We know that the talent that used to touch that stage, we know the artists that used to touch that stage. 00:29:48 Speaker 2: But things developed. 00:29:49 Speaker 6: Clearly there's been a change in the talent level in hip hop and in the artistry. 00:29:55 Speaker 3: It's been a change. 00:29:56 Speaker 2: But this is a recycled convo because I'm sure in two thousand and three when fifty headlined, there was people saying, please get this dumb down, go shoddy, it's your birthday ship off the Summer Jam stage. Why is most not on here? Yep, it's changed because now we now in retrospect, fifty is super lyrical. But it's just moving forward like this is just how it goes. It's gonna be dumbed down more and more. 00:30:20 Speaker 3: No, I but I do. 00:30:21 Speaker 6: I do think that this is a direct result of uh, the industry being affected by you know, social media impressions algorithm. Yeah, things like that like this and to and That's what I'm saying. So now the talent is on display because now it's a stage. You can't hide behind the algorithms and the numbers. Now when you know you're talking about yo, get people to come out to see this artist. Put this put this artist in the stadium, or we can't draw these numbers anymore. We gotta we gotta downsize it. Then clearly that's it's a correlation. It's all I'm saying, Like, when you have talent, like you said, Kendrick Lamar Coler, super lyrical, but it's a talent thing. When we went to that that that that show, you saw the whole. You got the whole picture of what is an artist. You understand what I'm saying, Like it's not just yo, here's a dope twenty seconds of a song or fifteen seconds of a song on a on an instant on a social media platform that everybody is posting. It's like, no, this is a whole thing. This is an actual artist with talent, talent level. 00:31:16 Speaker 5: But we saw we've seen the talented artists pop from TikTok and then it goes it transitions into the live shows like this, it's the whole Steve Lacy thing, mm hmm, that whole when he seemed to be his entire tour was TikTok fans, and then he's like, you know, he had the adverse reaction towards it, but I mean there are benefits. 00:31:34 Speaker 3: That's a very, that's a very I know, like he's he's different. 00:31:37 Speaker 5: Like I got get it. 00:31:38 Speaker 2: Lacy was very popular before, oh yeah, absolutely, and putting on. 00:31:41 Speaker 5: He's significantly more known now. He's always been a great musicians, always be putting out greatmusic. But I'm saying like in terms of talent level, was recognition. Yeah, in terms of like recognition and popularity, it's TikTok that got him to that point. 00:31:53 Speaker 2: But also when we went to go see Kendrick, we wanted that. But if someone's going to see Ice Spice, I'm not taking away from her level, but the point to go to that performance would be the phone I get to have Ice Spice actually do it live, when I can hold it and wrap along and do the little Ice Spice dance, I can put on my TikTok me seeing her like, that's the that's the point of going to an Ice Spice performance. 00:32:15 Speaker 5: The bendover and White, that's the whole you want. 00:32:17 Speaker 2: That you're going so you can put that you want with ice spice behind you. 00:32:21 Speaker 3: Yeah, but everybody, Yeah, but how but obviously. 00:32:26 Speaker 5: That's what you want. 00:32:27 Speaker 6: Yeah, but it's like, but it's it's they had to downside significantly. And I don't tell about sixty thousand less seats. 00:32:35 Speaker 2: But but that's that's not that's not good. That's not a good comparison because I think that's a Hot ninety seven thing and budget because clearly we see performance and festivals are getting bigger rather than downsizing. This I think is a personal radio MS communications issue and just sponsorships, like everything around the Hot ninety seven brand, which is just a radio thing in general with hip hop. 00:32:57 Speaker 1: And as far as talent, when it comes to women rappers, Let's be honest, y'all. And when I say y'all, I mean men in general, not y'all in this room. Y'all support the women. Y'all support the women that bend over and shake their their asses. People all the time say, oh, Meg raps about the same thing. But when Meg Meg is an extremely talented rapper, when she gets into her wrapping bag, nobody wants to hear that shit. Y'all want to hear her rap about pussy y'all want to see her torque and bend over. That's what sells. So if you want to make money in this in this era of music, you have to rap about what people are going to support. Minim misogynistic. If you're not rapping about pussy and shaking your ass, they're not supporting it. 00:33:37 Speaker 2: No, this is where you're wrong. We don't want Meg to rap about pussy. We like watching women. We like rap along to Meg rapping about pussy. I don't sit there and go God, I hope Meg gives me another pussy bar. 00:33:47 Speaker 3: I like the reaction, well, particularly I do. Oh, I can't wait for it. 00:33:54 Speaker 2: I like the reaction when I'm out or whatever at an event, seeing women react to the women rappers. It's fun, it's a great environment. It's it's something I enjoy. I don't know if that makes me creep, but I don't think so. 00:34:07 Speaker 1: Women aren't gonna react the same when we rap it about when she's on it, wrap it about real shit. Women aren't gonna react to same. They're not gonna play that because you can't, because. 00:34:17 Speaker 2: We don't see it. You got to give me your sixteen rather than the pussy sit right. 00:34:21 Speaker 6: You got you talking to somebody that you're talking to somebody that saw exactly what Little Kim's hardcore did like and those was pussy bar. She was talking crazy all through it out, but it was still a certain talent level. 00:34:33 Speaker 3: It was still the music was still. 00:34:35 Speaker 2: Big, was right in her mind. 00:34:36 Speaker 6: Regardless of who was writing it, she was delivering it for ther whole look that aesthetic everything, and it was just like, Yo, the music was dope. 00:34:44 Speaker 3: You understand I'm saying. It's like the music now is. 00:34:46 Speaker 6: Like you get a bar and then you get something in the hook and then it's like all right, but what else? 00:34:50 Speaker 3: Now? You know what I'm saying. 00:34:51 Speaker 6: So now you're trying to ask people to come out to see that live, see that's going You might get them a couple of times, but they not gonna keep coming to see that. 00:34:58 Speaker 2: But you're right with the deliver. Like we like Kim because of her delivery and her attitude on the songs. And I think that's the same reason we like the female rappers now. They deliver really well. They the way they say simple ship sounds fire Kim. I didn't just listen to a Kim album by myself, Like there have to be some women around for me to want to bump Little Kim. Oh no, Like besides, I just don't know if I'm no. 00:35:27 Speaker 6: We were listening for Kim with record Little Kim Hardcore album was playing the Foxy album like we was playing because they was really they was spitting, it was really rapping. 00:35:36 Speaker 2: So he was just chilling in your crib alone, just just more headphones on IM just banging out to Little Kim. 00:35:42 Speaker 6: I definitely used to definitely used to go to school, like on the train with my walk in on my headphones on listening to tonight. 00:35:50 Speaker 3: I mean I wasn't. I wasn't singing along. It's like it was playing, you know what I mean, Like Foxy's album. It was playing for sure. Absolutely you wanted to with the beat, huh. I didn't want no problems with the p at all. I still don't. I don't want no problems. 00:36:05 Speaker 6: I'm just saying it's a certain level to me, Like I said, the music industry is affected by social media platforms because now it's not about talent, it's about king just catch a good fifteen seconds in a song that's gonna go viral that the kids are going to love. So that's what I'm saying now it's starting to affect other areas of entertainment. 00:36:21 Speaker 5: Sure, because of TikTok videos in the fifteen second cycle, we're conditioned to only consume that much audio, which gives the artists less incentive to put time and effort into their lyrics. Because if you have the fifteen seconds that pop, who cares what the remaining minute and half of the song says? 00:36:37 Speaker 2: Right? 00:36:37 Speaker 5: So, yeah, you're right. I agree in that front. 00:36:39 Speaker 6: And that's what I'm saying. It's just it's just we gotta again. I'm happy that these artists are geting these looks. I'm happy that they're making the money that they're making, they're supporting their families, themselves or whatever. 00:36:48 Speaker 3: All of that is great. 00:36:49 Speaker 6: I'm just starting to say that it's starting to and it's going to keep affecting certain other areas of entertainment because the talent has to stand up and meet these numbers on these algorithms. 00:37:01 Speaker 3: It's all I'm saying. 00:37:01 Speaker 2: And I agree, But I'm not saying that just fell out of thin air. I think the era you're talking about that we love did start that. I think they dumb shit down. They realize what worked with the radio. They just focused on a hook, They just focused on a bridge. They just focused on one single part of the song. Even back to let's talk about fifty go Shardi, it's your birthday, that was the part. Of course, the rest of the record is great, but that started where we are now. It was certainly focused on what's the hook? What's the beat? 00:37:34 Speaker 3: Is the beat? 00:37:35 Speaker 2: Simple to Yeah? 00:37:36 Speaker 3: The hook was always the hook was always the hook. That's why it's called the hook. 00:37:40 Speaker 2: And I'm saying it as hip hop went even specifically to the era of Kim that we're talking about, the hook post ninety eight, the hook was the only fucking thing that mattered when it came to mainstream shit. It was the only thing that was focused on. 00:37:54 Speaker 6: Yeah, but again, I mean, you know, but it still has to be a certain quality though it has to be. It can't just be the hook and then what's after that? Like a lot of these records, I literally only know the hook. I don't know nothing else. 00:38:10 Speaker 2: Right. We know Swiss and Farrell to be some of the best producers we've ever seen on Earth. That's not why they've lasted so long and why they were so popular in the two thousands. It was because they came to the studio with a hook already there that they focused on forever, and they just plug artists, plug and play. That's why they lasted so long in this game, because they just focused on the hook when it needed time to have a radio record. 00:38:35 Speaker 3: I'm with you, the hook is. 00:38:37 Speaker 2: And then when the South part of the Ralph game and like really really blew up, it was focused on twenty seconds of a hook in a dance. Like It's just gradually got to this point. I can't just blame this era in these kids, because the Job the Time I Love were the ones that started this shit. 00:38:53 Speaker 5: The snap era in the like Soldier Boy, I mean obviously predated the social media TikTok stuff, but all of those records are the same formula. 00:39:03 Speaker 3: No definite Rington is the first TikTok rap. 00:39:05 Speaker 2: We have to focus on the twenty seconds that is going to sell a ringtone. Yeah, that was the first, and of course there was way more going on and you actually had to rap three verses and the beats may have been more complex. I'm not comparing it too, I'm just saying it was the start of where we are now. 00:39:21 Speaker 1: Yeah, hip hop has been getting dumbed down. Throughout history, It's gotten dumber and dumber. We just have these little That's why said when you mentioned Ja Cole, I'm like, oh, the unicorn. We have these little unicorns that pop up and we hold so tightly to their music. And then they have like kids that come and you know they do sorta kind of well. But the main stream hip hop has been getting stupider for forever. This is this is non new. 00:39:44 Speaker 6: I mean again, all everybody is saying, valid shit, The hook is the most important singe is to catch as part of the record. 00:39:52 Speaker 2: It's posted for eternity. I'm saying it became the only thing. 00:39:55 Speaker 6: But the great artists they know how to live and survive in between the hook, and then they know how to do things with in the verse verse that sounds like a hook. 00:40:05 Speaker 3: You know what I mean? 00:40:06 Speaker 6: Like so right, it's little things like that that I think that a lot of the times get lost now because it's so much like yo, just give us fifteen seconds that we could loop on social media and it's like whoa, but. 00:40:18 Speaker 3: What about the rest of the record, what about the album? 00:40:20 Speaker 6: You know what else? Like what are we doing with this artist? Is it just like you're just gonna make money for social media and then say, oh, let's put this artist on the stage. 00:40:27 Speaker 3: Then the artist. 00:40:28 Speaker 6: That's why when everybody was killing Ice Spice, what was rolling loud, it was like, what did you expect? 00:40:34 Speaker 3: You know what I mean? 00:40:34 Speaker 6: Like she's not ready for bedroom exactly. It's like, what did you expect for this artist to do? Like I remember years ago, bryceon Tiler was talking about when his record took off from SoundCloud. 00:40:45 Speaker 3: He didn't even know. 00:40:46 Speaker 6: He was like, wait, they want another record, Like I don't have one yet, you know what I mean. It's kind of like how you throwing this artist in front of it this festival crowd, and it's like I don't even know how to stand and hold my hand and hold the mic and I don't even know my back to the crowd I'm talking to, like my d I don't even know what I'm doing. 00:41:02 Speaker 5: Performance is a whole different entity. You can't smart and. 00:41:05 Speaker 6: That, but that speaks to another level of talent, you understand. That's another That's another area of being an artist that you have to dominate, which is why I said, you can be the lyrical guy like Kendrick, but then when you go see the Mister Big Steppers, Mister Morale and a Big Steppers show. You sitting there like, yo, this is insane. 00:41:22 Speaker 5: It's a live film. 00:41:23 Speaker 3: Yeah, you understand. 00:41:24 Speaker 6: I'm saying at budget, not just budget, because if you have that talent level, oh, somebody will find the budget sill together, Yeah, make it app and you can scale it down. Like we saw Bad Bunny at Made in America. 00:41:36 Speaker 2: You know what I mean. 00:41:37 Speaker 6: Like he just condensed what was his normal show to a festival show, Like I gotta condense it. 00:41:42 Speaker 3: But it's a whole world that he's created, which is why he is who is. 00:41:46 Speaker 2: It's just a talent level over fifteen years of experience too. Like I watched Kendrick from. 00:41:51 Speaker 3: No, No, No, I'm not I'm not comparing. 00:41:54 Speaker 6: I'm just saying, you can be the lyrical guy that doesn't just focus on the fifteen second hook and be amazing. 00:42:00 Speaker 2: He had the time to get there, whereas Ice spice throughout there. 00:42:04 Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. 00:42:05 Speaker 2: It's like, then there's other weird shit like the LMA situation. I've heard her talk about that, Like when that record blew up, they were like, all right, we need more of this. She was like I put that out a year ago, and I have a whole new album with a different sound. Scrap that because now you're just doing this get mustard over here, yes see. 00:42:22 Speaker 1: But that even leaks into R and B. Like it's not just about who's talented. Like I said, Keanu Today had one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. If you're not getting the push, you can have an amazing talent, you can be amazing, you can write rap, seeing everything. But if you're not getting the push, then it doesn't matter. If the powers that be aren't pushing you, it doesn't matter how talented you are, you're not going to see the success that you should be. It's been a problem for a loss of time. 00:42:49 Speaker 6: Though, Like we need to we need to push a lot of these R and B. Tink needs to get pushed more. People need to start talking about Tink a little more. We love Scissor, Love Summer, we love those those acts. Go listen takes catalog. 00:43:01 Speaker 2: But there's a balance. I don't want to put it all on the quote unquote powers that be because it's not like people talk like you could just take fucking me and be like, here's the song and now you're the number one artist in the world. 00:43:14 Speaker 1: Why that's what they did. 00:43:16 Speaker 2: Ice Spice. Ice Spice delivered with music, She delivered with an image. She branded herself really well. Her her personality she branded really well. Like let's let's not say Ice Spice went to the label and they taught her how to be a cool bronx chick. Like, yes, the powers that be pushed her, but she also pushed herself, you know what, to brand herself. She knows how to deliver records. She understands her audience, she understands TikTok and all that shit works. 00:43:41 Speaker 3: She gets it. 00:43:42 Speaker 2: So there's a lot of factors that come in to it. Like Tanashe, I think she's super talented. She's had every fucking opportunity you could think of. She's been pushing every way possible. Sometimes things just don't click, And timing is a huge thing as well. Sometimes you just miss your fucking I don't know if it's magic, I don't know if it's sorcery, I don't know if it's the stars. Sometimes timing really is what matters. 00:44:06 Speaker 6: No time and is everything, And we understand that your job is to be prepared for your time and your moment. 00:44:10 Speaker 3: But I feel like a lot of artists are. 00:44:12 Speaker 6: But it's just because now the game is so warded down with a lot of fluff and a lot of just bullshit. 00:44:17 Speaker 3: It's like a lot of dopehit gets lost. 00:44:19 Speaker 6: Like you know, I talk about Victory Monet and Jozzy just put out an album Songs for Women, Free Game for Niggas. That's incredible. These are the joints we need to start. 00:44:29 Speaker 2: Like. 00:44:30 Speaker 3: It's artists that are there, you know what I mean. 00:44:31 Speaker 6: But it's like because there's certain artists that are just always pushed and on our algorithm consistently, that's done purposely. 00:44:37 Speaker 2: I think Jozzy is a great example. That's when talent meets push. Yeah, project is incredible. She's also a star just in her own right. She has people behind her that will push it correctly. Sometimes those two things don't mix. And timing who she is personally, we haven't seen this yet, even down to the title of her project, which I won't. 00:44:57 Speaker 3: Say, Songs for Women, Free Game Niggas. 00:45:00 Speaker 2: So who she is, our sexual orientation, how she presents herself. This is the perfect time for JAZZI. Yes, sometimes it's timing Ice Spice a lot of timing with this one soon. M So it can't always be. We're not just gonna throw me and Eddin in a group and then Atlantic's gonna be like number one. 00:45:20 Speaker 5: You guys, what would that group be called? 00:45:22 Speaker 4: Orange and Mangos? 00:45:24 Speaker 2: The Fruits Wow. 00:45:27 Speaker 5: To count. 00:45:28 Speaker 2: We could join Fruit twn, they could extored us. 00:45:29 Speaker 5: We could to counter Demerius' point about like it like there is no universal button. I guess someone that was recently at the label system. 00:45:40 Speaker 2: Huh, that's hit the button. 00:45:41 Speaker 5: Yeah, that's someone there said that, Yeah, I have my finger on the button. No, but there is nody. It's in everyone's best interest at the label to see all their artists, you know, progress and succeed. There's no like, no one at the label is like, let's wait another year on this one. If it if it happens, and you have that moment like when I was Atlantic, Jack Carlow popped. No one in the building was like suppressing Jack until what's popping happened? What's popping happened, and then all the powers that be were able to get him in positions that he wasn't ready for at a time before that record, before that moment hit. So it's also about like scaling artists at an appropriate rate. You can't just throw so and so on snl if no one knows who they are. Like, if you're an artist, you need to know what looks when the look makes the most sense for you to go on certain platforms, to be a part of certain festivals. You can't just get the house thrown at you and expect to just take off. That's not at all hell it works. 00:46:34 Speaker 1: Oh of course. 00:46:35 Speaker 2: No. 00:46:35 Speaker 1: When I say like the powers that be, I'm not even like talking about the leak. I think like hip hop is a huge consistent, like a huge conspiracy. And I think that you. 00:46:42 Speaker 3: Think hip hop is a conspiracy, not. 00:46:44 Speaker 1: Hip hop itself, But I think the music y'all don't think that. Y'all don't think that we've been dumbing down this shit, Like you don't think that there's something behind that. 00:46:51 Speaker 2: Yes, I just feel like the CIA doesn't have rhythm, Like what's the conspiracy? 00:46:55 Speaker 5: Yeah? 00:46:55 Speaker 3: So like why would they? 00:46:56 Speaker 1: So you don't think that there's a reason that stuff about drugs and guns stuff gets pushed so much more. You don't think that there's a reason that songs about hating men all of that. Oh yeah, girl, fuck him, leave him. Like y'all don't think that there's a bigger thing behind. 00:47:11 Speaker 2: That's just hip hop. I think society music. 00:47:14 Speaker 1: Period, not just hip hop music period. I think that there's a reason why in black music, if you sing about love compared to if you sing about fuck that nigga, which one is gonna blow up more? If you sing about drugs and all of that stuff, and compared to singing about positive things, why one's gonna blow up more? But I could be being a conspiracy theorist, but I've thought about that for a long time. Why some of that stuff gets pushed. I mean, I don't think that's a label thing. I think it's bigger than that. 00:47:39 Speaker 2: That's just in general. I think with society. 00:47:41 Speaker 4: Yeah, violent movies you kind of way more intriguing, Like every single time. 00:47:45 Speaker 5: Via crime podcasts, most humans escape is like the extreme of what reality is now. 00:47:52 Speaker 2: I think labels may look at that and go, oh, let's definitely exploit this at the detriment of that community. I think there is a conspiracy, not even a conspiracy. I just think corporations do not give a fuck about the safety of people, so they'll take advantage of a community liking that type of music and push it because it's going to be profitable. So I agree with you somewhat. I just don't think there's a meeting at Atlantic where they're like, we need to get more guns into No. 00:48:20 Speaker 1: But that's why I said, I think it's bigger than the labels. But at the same time, it wasn't always like that. 00:48:25 Speaker 2: Oh no, it's definite. Yeah, every democratic meeting. 00:48:29 Speaker 1: Hip hop used to be extremely informative, extremely like Fight the Power all of that stuff. Music used to only be about love music well, mainly like mainstream music used to be love songs, and they did well. There's some of your favorite songs that you still listen to this day. At some point there was a switch. I just don't think that that just happened naturally because of human they are. 00:48:50 Speaker 2: But also I think that's a bit misleading to in pardon my complexion. Yes, there was Public Enemy and Fight the Power. But at the exact same time, kars One had an oozy on his album cover. 00:49:00 Speaker 3: But what was the oozy representation of fair? 00:49:02 Speaker 2: But if you don't do the knowledge of a certain b DP records, they can just sound like gunshots and murder. 00:49:08 Speaker 3: Yeah, But that's why you got to do the knowledge. 00:49:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, but we're talking about impressionable people that it's affecting. 00:49:14 Speaker 6: And hip hop went from you know, them trying to ban n w A for saying fuck the police and all of these things. Ice T they were trying to ban it. You know, Snoop Dogg, he was saying bitch too much in his record and these are these are you know they was. This was a time where they were trying to ban those things. 00:49:29 Speaker 5: And Jay tried to ban bitch. What Jay tried to ban bitch? 00:49:34 Speaker 3: J tried to band bitch? 00:49:35 Speaker 5: What do you mean that happened when when Blue Eyed was born? Like, I'm not saying bitch anymore. 00:49:40 Speaker 3: He didn't know he was saying. 00:49:40 Speaker 5: He was. 00:49:41 Speaker 3: He wasn't saying the world know that's not banned. 00:49:43 Speaker 2: I feel like he said he said it like I think songs later, but he definitely said we and probably Tims in the video. 00:49:52 Speaker 3: You know for sure he had Tims on last night. 00:49:53 Speaker 6: But I'm just saying like hip hop went from that from to where they were trying to sensor that and get those albums and artists off the shelves to now, like Damara said, a lot of these artists. Look at you look at a lot of these draw artists. Look at their numbers on YouTube. 00:50:07 Speaker 3: It's insane. It's a thousand guns in the video. One nigga. I'm like, it was two niggas in this whole This whole video had two males. They had ninety guns. 00:50:19 Speaker 5: Like, where's Waldough. You gotta find the artists. 00:50:20 Speaker 6: But but you were trying to ban. You were trying to ban n WA for saying fuck the police. They were just saying something, yo, fuck the police. 00:50:29 Speaker 3: Take that off the shelves. 00:50:31 Speaker 6: But these gentlemen over here in Chicago, they got nine hundred million views on this video and they getting paid for it. 00:50:37 Speaker 2: But I think that comes from a society thing that's bigger. Like I don't know if Chief Keith, his whole life only fourteen years at that point, was just like just love music, I want to be a rapper. It was profitable at the time, and he was talking about exactly what was happening in Chicago, which is not raps problem. 00:50:55 Speaker 3: No, I'm not saying this raps problem. 00:50:57 Speaker 6: I'm just saying the way the industry is designed, the way it's set up, Like what Chief Keith and them was doing was literally just being what it hip hop has always done, is being a mouthpiece for the community and what's going on and letting the world know, like, Yo, this is what we deal with, this is what we go through. We're trying to get away from this. We're trying to get an escape, We're trying to create a way out. 00:51:13 Speaker 3: But then once they. 00:51:14 Speaker 6: Started paying, you know, when Chief Keith BLIPM became the icon that he is, what does that do? It bursts a bunch of other chief who genre you understand what I'm saying. So they now they seemed like because he made it out doing that, we're from the same area. Okay, let's talk about what we're still going through and let's try to get out of that. But what I'm saying is, keep in mind it came from trying to ban somebody, a group, one of the most iconic groups ever, from saying fuck the police. So now, okay, all of these black men could have automatic weapons in their videos and do a nine hundred million views on YouTube, and we're gonna pay them every month for doing this, and we're gonna push them in the algorithms and let them keep doing that. Even though the crime rate is what it is in Chicago, and you know, we're gonna put these gentlemen in prison, and he has active warrants to go lock them up because we've seen them in the video of a gun in this It's like, wait, hold on, but y'all paying them. 00:52:02 Speaker 1: To do this, and now music isn't sorry to cut you off doing it. And now music isn't just reflecting what's going on. What's going on is reflecting the music, like they're copying the music. So now it's just not Oh, I'm rapping about what's going on. Now, I'm trying to do what's what people are rapping about now? Because these because hip hop is so influential and these are the leaders now, so now I'm even if I'm from the fucking suburbs, I'm trying to be against. That's how fucking six nines get bored. 00:52:30 Speaker 6: Well, that's why Chris Rock is a legend with CB four with the movie like that was the NWA playoff n WA and it was like, here, God, here, this is what the music is gonna do. It's gonna influence people that are not going through this, not from this culture at all, and they're gonna try to imitate a mimic this because they're so in love with what is going on in our culture. 00:52:49 Speaker 3: But in fact that. 00:52:50 Speaker 6: You don't have you're not You didn't grow up in poverty, sir. You could have went to school, you could have got a degree. You didn't have to go this route. But how it's hard to tell a kid yo ghosting in class go do that when his homeboy from the hood is doing eighteen million views on YouTube and just bought his mother a house and he has four cars, And it's like, go to school. Turn the beat on, fam, that's what we're about to do. Like I'm not going to you understand what I'm saying, but it's like, what do we do? How are we programming? 00:53:16 Speaker 2: Let's go create some ops? Yeah, like nobody like creating an op. 00:53:20 Speaker 6: This, nobody dislikes you, sir. You're creating this energy that is not real. You miss because you're being monetized for it. It's hard to tell these kids don't do it, yep. But then they when you say, okay, now you sir, go on that stage and entertained. 00:53:34 Speaker 3: But he's not an entertainer. 00:53:36 Speaker 5: Yeah, get to dance, get to dance. He's not that he's not dancing for these white people. 00:53:42 Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't. 00:53:44 Speaker 6: It's not there because he didn't even want to really be an artist. He just imitated something he saw called a lick saw went viral, and now tomorrow you have to entertain thirty thousand people on stage. And then what we do record him get mad because he doesn't have rhythm, or she doesn't have rhythm. She's awkward, you know what I mean, can't dance, can't do nothing. It's like, yo, what is this? And now you're killing up? But it's like the industry pushed. 00:54:06 Speaker 2: That, and I feel like with these kids, though, their form of entertainment is that fifteen seconds and just a TikTok, fine, oh give what the fuck? So to them that's entertainment. We look at it because we've seen performances like, all right, this is awful. But to these younger kids, their form of entertainment is the phone, so they get to see what's on their phone in front of them. It's nothing if you drop it over a two track. 00:54:27 Speaker 5: If you go on Twitter or TikTok or any social media platform where people are just live posting from a festival, it's crazy. You'll see the same fifteen second clip of Ice Spice doing the section of the song that they know. You'll see thousands of videos of people in the crowd posting filming the same second. So when you experience it, like if say we weren't a Dreamville, we're just watching from Afar, if we go online, we would see these same clip just flood our news feed because everyone just wants that one moment of that fifteen seconds of their artists doing the one thing that they now. 00:54:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, and. 00:54:59 Speaker 2: Give Icepice a little the credit, though, I feel like she's give all the credit. Well, no, I just think she's become a better performer quickly. 00:55:06 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, absolutely no, She's gonna. 00:55:08 Speaker 2: Figure it out, like if you don't remember. And I'm not comparing them by any means because Ice Spice up still has a lot more to prove. When Carti first came out, she could not perform at all. Cardi is an incredible perform Now I think she's a really really good performer. You can understand every word and Cardi b rapping she puts together. Of course, she was a creative director, puts together a real show. At this point, Yeah, no, she got give Ice by some time, she'll get all the SpongeBob characters on stage, which big ship, the way they did, the way Katie Perry did the shark thing. She'll have a whole bikini bottom. She'll come out of the pineapple eventually. Just give her some time. 00:55:41 Speaker 1: But that comes with artists development, because they aren't doing artists development anymore these days. And I think that we've spoken about that, like you need to go and fucking rehearse, and you need to practice your fucking breath control, and we need to make sure that you know what I'm saying, like we have to put make you an artist, especially if you're gonna be doing all these festival stages. But they don't care about that anymore because go up there to work and walk. 00:56:02 Speaker 2: Away, you know, will be fired. If Ice Spice came out of the pineapple and then Kai came from under the rock and he was Patrick. 00:56:09 Speaker 4: I kind of love that he comes out and he does. 00:56:13 Speaker 2: It's a good question who would be Who's an Ice spice hater? 00:56:18 Speaker 1: Mm hm, Demarus Loto aren't really getting along these days. 00:56:22 Speaker 3: Ice spice and lotto or beefing not beefs. 00:56:26 Speaker 1: There's been ship, there's been some little little tips. Yeah, explaining to you off. 00:56:32 Speaker 2: I don't like to and I never know beef because women usually support each other so much. 00:56:38 Speaker 3: Yeah, so crazy w NBA games. You sold out. 00:56:41 Speaker 1: Y'all just said that Ross wanted Drake's ship off his off as the Martin music. Men don't support men other men either, y'all just fake. 00:56:49 Speaker 3: You gotta see these niggas climbing over the girls to get a picture. 00:56:51 Speaker 1: Work it faked, dick ride it will support fake really ain't fake? Oh, ship knees and everything. 00:56:57 Speaker 5: Oh God, you gotta see him, don't row. 00:57:00 Speaker 4: Don't have to see them. 00:57:01 Speaker 2: You gotta see them. 00:57:02 Speaker 3: Have you been outside, lady, Oh, it's crazy out. 00:57:04 Speaker 2: There and I see women. I see the conspiracy women are trying to do with men supporting men. You try to shame us by calling him big bro. We can't even if we're not the leader of the crew. Where the now women, You guys are kind of like the government and hip hop in that regard. You're trying to separate men from liking each other. 00:57:21 Speaker 1: I tell y'all all the time that men set the standard for what women will accept. 00:57:25 Speaker 5: Rory. 00:57:26 Speaker 3: I have been trying to do that for years and it's not working. 00:57:28 Speaker 1: I have been at party it is. I have been at parties with Rory and he'll see somebody pick riding and he'll go, oh god, you're the number one. 00:57:38 Speaker 3: Sound like that? 00:57:39 Speaker 1: Yeah, okay the police. 00:57:43 Speaker 5: Yeah, that's crazy, nasty force. 00:57:47 Speaker 2: That precink is crazy. 00:57:48 Speaker 3: What does the academy look like? 00:57:50 Speaker 2: I don't want to go to those tubs at all. The DRP no what I'm a hater though, I'm part of the conspiracy to stop men from supporting each. 00:57:58 Speaker 1: Other man when men be kick and bitches out this section to try to get next to other men in the section, both of y'all vomits. 00:58:04 Speaker 2: It's called unity. You and I. 00:58:08 Speaker 6: Yeah, Queen the teeth and made a jazzy tune back in the day that was amazing. 00:58:12 Speaker 2: You talked about that, and I'm an advocate of men need more big bros. Stop shaming men from having big bros. They need gudance. 00:58:18 Speaker 1: No, you definitely need big bros. 00:58:20 Speaker 2: Women are trying to stop the big bro movement. 00:58:22 Speaker 1: No, we're trying to stop you for big brothers. Sister, don't know big bro when you see them, you don't know, then, what's. 00:58:28 Speaker 5: The heart your big bro? 00:58:31 Speaker 2: You're super because they motivate me. On I G he. 00:58:38 Speaker 1: Me and big bro working bro, you ran into him at the bathroom and made in America Like you're not even this isn't even your media, it's your homeboys media passes. 00:58:45 Speaker 2: And we discussed working. 00:58:46 Speaker 3: Wait that really happens? Like, hell, man, you meet each other at the bathroom, go to. 00:58:50 Speaker 5: Your tagged photos. Everybody's like, my big bro mall, like that's all your pho. 00:58:55 Speaker 6: No, no, no, no, no, no no, I'm talking about meeting in the meeting a man in the bathroom and then like I mean, after you watch exchanging info. 00:59:01 Speaker 5: That's sick. 00:59:02 Speaker 2: I've been asked for pictures in the bathroom. 00:59:03 Speaker 6: No, I'm not you missing what I'm saying. I'm talking meeting a man in the bathroom and exchanging phone numbers. 00:59:08 Speaker 1: They're not exchanging phone numbers, they're just yo, this is taking a picture. 00:59:12 Speaker 5: You know they're going over to your No, yoyo, what's your. 00:59:13 Speaker 6: I G. 00:59:15 Speaker 5: Putting the phone over the year Yeah, I'm verified. Yo. 00:59:21 Speaker 2: Did you follow back yet? 00:59:22 Speaker 3: Oh damn, that's sick, mall. 00:59:30 Speaker 5: Yes, sad day for you, by the sad week for you? 00:59:34 Speaker 3: Sad week? 00:59:34 Speaker 5: Or is this just the beginning of a beautiful time? Oh? 00:59:36 Speaker 6: This is the beginning of this is like when the movie starts, it's like that slow, sad music playing, but then at the end of the movie, it's like a joyous, happy occasion. 00:59:46 Speaker 3: That's life is great. You leave the theater like, yeah, that was a great film. President Donald Trump was arrested. 00:59:53 Speaker 2: I just don't see the correlation. 00:59:55 Speaker 3: He was arrested, he was arrested. 00:59:58 Speaker 2: He's taking us on this film. 00:59:59 Speaker 6: No, look, you're gonna see. He was arrested. What was that TUESDA Monday. He was arrested and arraigned Monday in a New York court. 01:00:08 Speaker 2: Smart guy, everyone knows. Never turn yourself in on a Friday Monday. A judge right away. 01:00:13 Speaker 6: Yeah, had the jet waiting and left New York immediately after. He was arrested, and he pled not guilty to thirty four felon accounts. 01:00:22 Speaker 2: Thirty four felling accounts was fucking crazy. 01:00:25 Speaker 3: Yeah, man, But he wasn't dieted. 01:00:27 Speaker 6: So this is the first time that a former president was actually arrested. So it was a big day in Manhattan. Traffic was fucking crazy. But I feel like this is a simulation. Once again, this is a movie. We're all sitting in and playing a part of. 01:00:42 Speaker 3: May we like it or not. 01:00:43 Speaker 2: I'm not making an a Trump thing specific, but we should make this more of a thing arresting presidents. 01:00:49 Speaker 1: Yeah, should we. 01:00:50 Speaker 2: I actually think it should be standard. At the end of your term, you're not arrested per se, but you need to put on trial for the decisions you made. We need to go through your entire. 01:01:00 Speaker 3: Term as as president. 01:01:02 Speaker 2: Yes, the way they do in corporate companies. You get your yearly review and all that ship, and then you need certain people to the people that refused or get a raised. 01:01:10 Speaker 5: Yeah, we need to do. 01:01:11 Speaker 2: This with every single president because I also think presidents would be a little bit more careful in the things they did had they have to stand there and be held accountable by everyone. 01:01:23 Speaker 6: I was kind of disappointed when Julian and I were disappointed when he didn't have handcuffs put on him, because we figured that would be one of the greatest photos in the history of America. And I think it be even greater photo if if and when he went the next election to go from handcuffs in a Manhattan courtroom to winning the presidency again. 01:01:43 Speaker 5: They missed a prime marketing opportunity. 01:01:46 Speaker 2: It would be the highest selling T shirt maybe of all time, absolutely because because Democrats would buy it thinking like Trump locked in handcuffs, and Republicans would buy it like, yeah, our guys. 01:01:56 Speaker 3: Guys hard tall part is shirt. 01:02:00 Speaker 6: Look at look at Donnie Tintoes. Gotta call him Donnie tin Toes him now on. He's not snitching on nobody. 01:02:08 Speaker 3: You think, no for what don He's not gonna take the stand a man. 01:02:12 Speaker 2: He is kind of a big sniche. 01:02:13 Speaker 5: He said, it's a big nothing You got Papa and hit that hit that stand and. 01:02:18 Speaker 6: You ain't see him at mar Lago when he left New York speech was beautiful. 01:02:23 Speaker 2: It is out on bail speech. 01:02:24 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, come on, man, he threw a party and your derves. 01:02:27 Speaker 2: Name Damarus w washing together. I can't lie. We were glued to the TV. 01:02:30 Speaker 3: You have to be it's Donnie ten Toes. How can you not? 01:02:34 Speaker 5: Can you not be glued to the platinum first speech? 01:02:37 Speaker 6: Like that's his first This is the rollout for his second album. You gotta look, you gotta be glued to this. 01:02:42 Speaker 3: This is entertained. This is what America is. 01:02:43 Speaker 6: This One of the reasons why I love Donald Trump is because he is exactly what America. 01:02:48 Speaker 7: Is a piece of ship exactly, a thief. This is this is a what did what? What was the disrecord that Drake supposed to be? This is America, This is America. This is what childish Gambinos saying. 01:03:00 Speaker 2: He was talking about Trump. 01:03:01 Speaker 3: He was talking about Trump. 01:03:02 Speaker 6: This is America. This is the guy, this is what America looks like. This is what America is based on, you know, and it's it's it's just we have to wait and see. Now it's gonna be crazy when none of these charges stick. He's not going to be arrested. People think that people there are people that really think Donald Trump is going to be arrested and thrown into a cell. Well, he's been arrested, you know what I mean, like thrown into like you know, people thought he was gonna be like Monday, he was gonna be putting handcuffs and putting into a cell. 01:03:25 Speaker 1: Ye. 01:03:25 Speaker 6: I'm like, y'all think that a former president is going to be put into. 01:03:29 Speaker 3: A jail cell that hard. 01:03:30 Speaker 1: It's a gym pop. 01:03:31 Speaker 3: It will not happen. 01:03:33 Speaker 2: It's mostly I think they're just using this uh Stormy Daniel thing as just the way the way cops like I smell weed in your car. Now we can search it even if they don't. Yeah, this is just so they can open all his taxes. 01:03:46 Speaker 3: Yeah, they just want to. 01:03:47 Speaker 2: They just want to warrant to get into everything. And I think there is a world and this could just be the marshmallow Democrat that I am Marshmallow, that there's a world where Trump could end up in one of those camp federal prisons. That's you know, they serve ice cream and ship like, it's not really jail tennis courts, that's not Yeah, like wherever they sent fucking Jordan Belford. 01:04:09 Speaker 3: It's not happening, no way. 01:04:11 Speaker 5: And Martha Stewart, she did hurt. 01:04:13 Speaker 3: You're comparing Martha Stewart to do the same. 01:04:15 Speaker 5: She went through a similar facility. They both about the same age. 01:04:19 Speaker 6: They're not the same though. This is Donald Trump, the former Presidenty're both playing the sheets. He will they do that, They do do that. 01:04:25 Speaker 2: It was also double Andsandra for KKK. 01:04:28 Speaker 6: But he will nice, he will not. Donald Trump will not be put into a jail. Will not happen. 01:04:33 Speaker 3: You cannot put a former president into a prison cell. 01:04:35 Speaker 5: You can, you cannot. 01:04:37 Speaker 2: Plenty of countries have done it, and I think Trump more to his followers. If Trump was in a jail cell for a month. 01:04:44 Speaker 3: It won't it's it's not going to happen. This is not going to happen. I don't. 01:04:47 Speaker 6: I think that this is all a fucking This is just a distractive from which we're talking about. This is why this is America. We're talking about this a president being in dieted on thirty four accounts for alleged hush money and fundeling funds, all of this more than we are talking about kids that were killed in a school in Nashville, Tennessee. 01:05:05 Speaker 2: Well, he won't go to jail because if he goes to jail, it starts the snowball on both sides of who else needs to go to jail. Even Democrats at the level of office don't want Trump to go to jail. That opens up too much for everyone. It exposes everyone on that level. 01:05:22 Speaker 6: I think what they're hoping to do is that this will derail his bid for the next presidential election, which it won't. I think that this only helps him. I think that this is officially his campaign. I think that they made a big mistake in doing this, because again, this is the press that he probably didn't want, but it's pressed nonetheless, so he's going to turn it into something where at the end people are going to vote for him. 01:05:45 Speaker 2: He was out of the headlines for a while. Yeah, so I think this just worked and this. 01:05:50 Speaker 3: Is his This is his six ' nine getting jumped into La Fitness bathroom. This is what this is. 01:05:54 Speaker 2: That's what it is. 01:05:55 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the same thing. It's like he was kind of chilling, laying a low a little bit. 01:05:59 Speaker 2: You don't think get shugged, bail and pock out. 01:06:01 Speaker 1: Nah. 01:06:01 Speaker 2: That speech wasn't California love. 01:06:03 Speaker 5: Oh? 01:06:03 Speaker 3: That speech was definitely California that's you know. 01:06:05 Speaker 6: That speech was. That speech was Andre three thousand. When he said thank you at the gram just what it was a thank you? It was like, yo, y'all, just this is my campaign. Now all of the cameras are back on me. 01:06:16 Speaker 2: He was just trying to say the South has something to say. 01:06:18 Speaker 3: That's it. That's all. He was saying. 01:06:19 Speaker 2: The Red States have something that. 01:06:20 Speaker 3: We had, The reds have something to say. 01:06:22 Speaker 6: This is Donald Trump's new campaign, and this is what's gonna get him back into the White House. 01:06:28 Speaker 3: I guarantee it. 01:06:29 Speaker 5: You think he's gonna win there's. 01:06:32 Speaker 6: No there's no question he's gonna win now. I said that before this happened. I said, Yo, if they indict this dude, they are helping him. They're gonna help this is helping him win his next presidential election without a doubt, without a doubt. 01:06:43 Speaker 2: But I'm just I'm scared. I don't have much to say. Besides, I'm terrified. What just this next year? Four? Oh my god, that's gonna be the biggest circus on planet fucking Earth. 01:06:56 Speaker 3: Would you vote for Biden again? 01:06:58 Speaker 2: Probably? 01:06:58 Speaker 3: Not of people feel that way. 01:07:00 Speaker 1: A lot. That's what That's why I think he's gonna wait because a lot of people. 01:07:03 Speaker 2: I didn't say I was voting for Trump. 01:07:05 Speaker 6: I'm not trusting me, and I know vote yeah, no, vote for Biden is a vote for Trump. 01:07:10 Speaker 5: I know. 01:07:11 Speaker 2: I understand your logic. I get it. I know I'm part of the problem. But if it's Trump and Biden again, those are the two candidates at the end of all the primaries, I'm cool, you're just not voting. 01:07:21 Speaker 5: No, But then if you don't vote for Biden, you're not supporting black people. 01:07:24 Speaker 3: But don't vote for black pot That's what Biden said. If you don't know him. You're not black? 01:07:29 Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know. For the last three three years, you guys, I have not been black. I don't know if you'll notice or that. 01:07:34 Speaker 3: Oh I forgot. Sorry. 01:07:35 Speaker 2: I know I am part of the problem because I'm in that crucial swing state of New York. I just don't think I'm gonna I don't think I'm gonna vote. 01:07:43 Speaker 6: And that's another thing. Why the voting system is just the electoral votes what matters. This ship is all it's it's it's a bunch of nothing. It's like a fucking pyramid scheme. 01:07:51 Speaker 5: At this point, you could get a house in the swing state. 01:07:54 Speaker 2: Me. 01:07:54 Speaker 5: Yeah, I would love to the mix. 01:07:56 Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I would love to big. 01:07:59 Speaker 6: I just again, I just think that this is something that Trump didn't want, but now he's like, oh, they're helping me, because that's all this is. 01:08:05 Speaker 3: This is this is press at the highest level, and this is all he needed and didn't want, but he needed this, so we'll see. I don't know, man. 01:08:14 Speaker 6: Jill Biden though, she she invited Iowa and l s U to the to the White House. 01:08:19 Speaker 2: First time I've ever heard Jill Biden speak. 01:08:23 Speaker 3: Yeah, she invited them to the White House. 01:08:24 Speaker 6: Angel Reese went on social media and kind of laughed at the thought of that and said, we not. 01:08:29 Speaker 3: Coming, period. 01:08:31 Speaker 6: And then people went on to ask would Jill Biden have invited l s U if they had lost. 01:08:36 Speaker 2: As progressive as the Democratic Party claims to be, they really don't let women speak. I haven't heard from Kamala. I haven't heard from Jill. 01:08:43 Speaker 1: Kamala is in a silk pressed chair like she be chilling. She don't want to speak. 01:08:48 Speaker 2: Do you think she shows up to the IOWA and LSU party? 01:08:52 Speaker 1: Oh, for the l s show. She gonna be in there, you know her. 01:08:56 Speaker 2: This is kind of nuts. All right, let's go with the obvious. If IOWA one are both teams being yeah, no, come on. 01:09:03 Speaker 3: Man, we know that. 01:09:04 Speaker 6: No, it's not it's not happening. LSU would not have been invited if they didn't win. 01:09:09 Speaker 3: We know that. 01:09:10 Speaker 6: Like, that's why this is all just some dumb stupid shit like invite the team that won, period, Like invite LSU. You don't have to invite Iowa, Like why is IOWA being invited? And I love shout out to Kaitlyn Clark because she's been very like, you know, outspoken, about it, Like, listen, guys, like, why y'all doing this turning this into this It's just women competing. 01:09:30 Speaker 3: We had a great time, great game, great tournament. 01:09:33 Speaker 6: We got a lot of odds back on women's basketball, you know, but it's turning into something else. 01:09:38 Speaker 2: Now. 01:09:38 Speaker 3: Let LSU have the moment they won. They should be invited. 01:09:41 Speaker 6: Like Kaitlyn Clark is, She's been real classy throughout this whole thing. I think she's, you know, been saying the right things and moving the right way. So shout out to her because I don't want that to get lost. 01:09:51 Speaker 2: And speaking of things getting lost, let's have another quick Reddit segment. I know we had one on the last episode. I did see a great thread about our reaction to Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese that because we said the media was outraged at itself for being racist, that was us defending Dave Portnett. Oh, how did that We said that we're trying so hard to get to barstool that because we said the media is outraged at the media for being racist, that we are now defending Dave and we are trying our best to get in Dave's good graces to get on barstool, no, because and boy was there a lot of replies saying, yep, I thought the same thing. Yeah, people out there, I'm not saying we're the best at articulating shit. But if you took that conversation is that I don't really know what to tell you. 01:10:37 Speaker 3: See, that's why I don't pay attention to shit like that. 01:10:39 Speaker 2: We were saying, Caitlin Gark and Injuries both have no issue with trash talking. Yeah, the media is outraged at the media, not at what's going on on the court though. 01:10:48 Speaker 3: I don't know. 01:10:50 Speaker 5: Did you guys see Gillian Wallow's response. 01:10:53 Speaker 3: I did, and they caught a lot of flat. 01:10:54 Speaker 6: A lot of people felt like they was tap dancing because at the end of it they said, Dave, we love you. 01:11:00 Speaker 4: That's a kind of crazy, know they did. 01:11:02 Speaker 3: You know what I mean? 01:11:03 Speaker 6: But Dave was out of line. He was out of line for that tweet. He was out of line. Like first of all, calling a female classless piece of ship is insane, Like you just that's just not You don't do that. You don't call a woman a classless piece of shit, even if even if the woman is being a classes you don't say it. You don't post it on social media, like, just don't do that like that, So that it was unnecessary, it was uncalled for. It was out of line and very disrespectful. 01:11:32 Speaker 2: For Dave to be a Patriots fan and at one point a huge Kronk supporter to call someone a classless piece of ship for pointing at their finger after winning the national championship, but also support Gronk on a regular season game. It's fucking insane. 01:11:46 Speaker 6: I think Dave does a lot of things for for clickbait viral. He knows his audience, know, you know, he knows what he's doing. But that was out of line. That was very disrespectful. It's just again, you're talking about women, young women at that, So to call a young woman, a collegiate athlete a classless piece of shit and you're a grown man, that's you completely out of line for that. That's very disrespectful. But yeah, I did see Gillian Wallow address it. I did see people not happy with their response and h and saying they kind of, you know, tap danced around it a little bit and you know, whatever whatever. But I understood what Gillian Wallow was saying with that. It's like, do we hate Dave. Do we, you know, want to condemn him, and we're not fucking him no more, no, but we do want him to know, like, yo, that you out. 01:12:29 Speaker 2: Of line, you disrespect, tell your friend you're wrong. Yeah, and this is coming across as you only doing it to a black woman, just letting you know, Yeah, exactly. 01:12:36 Speaker 1: Not coming across, That's what it is. 01:12:38 Speaker 6: It's like when Snoop had words about Gail King and in regards to her comments on Kobe, and Snoop went a little too it was aggressive. 01:12:45 Speaker 3: I get it. 01:12:46 Speaker 6: Snoop had passed. I mean, excuse me, Kobe had passed away. People were still morning and kind of heard about the passing. Gail King had her remarks about Kobe. So yeah, everybody was because even I know, huge Kobe fan, I was like, damn, Gil, that was a little You may't have to bring that up about Kobe right now. We mourning the loss of him, his daughter and her friends and their family on the helicopter like it's a tragic event, and you bringing this negative thing up about that happened in Kobe's life just the wrong time for that. 01:13:15 Speaker 3: Snoop went a little too crazy. 01:13:16 Speaker 6: He went crazy, like he went crazy like he was calling us some things that he shouldn't have and you know, it was like I get it. We was all felt some type of way about what Gail King said, But you ain't have to go that far, you know what I mean. And that's kind of what Dave did with his remarks. You could say that yo, you know, taunting and all of that is like come on, like you know what I mean, Like you didn't have to go that hard on Caitlyn cool, but to say she's a classless piece of shit, it's like, bro, you that's a little you're going a little too far away. 01:13:44 Speaker 2: And that, from my understanding, David never commented on Caitlin, who for the entire season was taunting players. 01:13:50 Speaker 6: Yeah and again, and we talked about it. Taunting is great. Shout out to Yukon the Yukonvin's team. They won a national championship and I was watching the game and I said, this is exactly why. 01:14:00 Speaker 3: You need taunting in sports. That game was very lacklust. 01:14:03 Speaker 6: It was very like the final buzzer went off and it was like it didn't even feel like they won a national championship. 01:14:11 Speaker 3: But this is what I'm there was like the bubble championship. This is what I'm saying. 01:14:14 Speaker 6: This is why you league those type of things in sports. You need players to kind of go at each other, should give it that edge, to give it that meaning, Like, Okay, they really out here competing and they really just mean something. And I'm willing to bet that they talked to both of those teams before that game. The rest listen, no taunting, no trash talking. 01:14:34 Speaker 3: I know they did. 01:14:34 Speaker 6: I know that because you could just feel it didn't feel like it was a competitive game. It just felt like they just out here playing basketball and then somebody won. It didn't feel like a national college championship game. So again, you need trash talking and you need taunting in sports. I think that that's part of the game. It's always been a part of the game. It's not going away no matter how many times you try to give a player tech and kick a player out. 01:14:57 Speaker 3: Players are going to compete and they're gonna talk trash. 01:15:00 Speaker 2: Did Joe Biden apologize? I feel like I saw a headline that said she apologized. 01:15:04 Speaker 3: For inviting Iowa, for inviting both teams. I mean, I wouldn't. 01:15:09 Speaker 6: I don't even care if she I don't think she needs to apologize for inviting both teams. 01:15:13 Speaker 3: I think that is just it's laughable. 01:15:15 Speaker 6: It's like, it's not you know, I don't think it's a disrespectful thing to invite both teams. I think it's something to laugh at, Like you wouldn't invited LSU if they lost. 01:15:22 Speaker 4: It was more of she said, because of good sportsmanship, and that was just kind of. 01:15:26 Speaker 3: Well, I get it. That's what I'm saying. I don't think she needs to apologize. 01:15:30 Speaker 2: So she was making a joke and saying that playing off that there was not good sportsmanship. 01:15:34 Speaker 3: No, no, no, she wasn't making a joke. She legit like invited Iowa. 01:15:37 Speaker 1: She was being a typical she was white woman. 01:15:40 Speaker 6: She was trying to show that she was trying to show that, you know, let's bring both teams together in the mix of everybody trying to make it this disrespectful tony thing, trash talking thing. Let's show that there's good sports well good you know sportsmanship, and people can get yeah, like but you know. 01:15:54 Speaker 2: Can you don't imagine all the teams that lost to the Patriots on a field goal in the last second, they play hard to Yeah, Like. 01:16:01 Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. 01:16:03 Speaker 6: This is part of sports, This is part of competition. It's like when you give teams a. 01:16:08 Speaker 1: Party participation, what are you doing? 01:16:10 Speaker 6: Like, No, you don't get a trophy for that. You go hard in the game and you play hard so that you can get that trophy. If you lose, go in the locker room, get ready for next season. You'll have a great summer, like workout, work on your game, come back next year hopefully you're a better team. But you don't get a participation award, trophy, and definitely don't get a participation a participation invite to the White House? 01:16:31 Speaker 2: Well, is do we think ls she was gonna go? 01:16:33 Speaker 1: After that comment, LSU said they're not. Well, Angel Reese says her team isn't going. 01:16:38 Speaker 6: She tweeted that were not coming. But I do think that LSU will be at the White House. I do think that they're gonna go. I can't see them not going. I don't know if a team ever didn't go to the White House. 01:16:51 Speaker 2: The Trump administration. Mad Teams was like all teams that was different because a lot. 01:16:56 Speaker 5: Of except the Clemson team. I'm pretty sure the Clemson because that's where the photo. 01:17:01 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I can't. I can't. I can't see the l s U women's basketball team not going. 01:17:07 Speaker 1: Why can you not see them going? Because Angel has been like very adamant and we're not going. 01:17:12 Speaker 3: I mean, Angel might not go. 01:17:13 Speaker 2: That's my point thinking there's plenty of players that just have not gone like Angel. 01:17:17 Speaker 6: I don't think Angel will go. I can't see her going, especially after tweeting we not coming. I can't see her going, But I do think the l s U team will be there. 01:17:25 Speaker 1: I think that Angel is a leader on her team and from what I've seen with her team, her the way, her relationship with her coach, and as a leader of her team, her team, they're a very close knit team. If she's saying we not coming, not I'm not coming. If she's saying we not coming, I bet my billion dollars, my bottom dollar are not going. 01:17:44 Speaker 5: I mean, it's it's interesting in some players at that damn house. 01:17:47 Speaker 3: I think so, I think, I think, I think I think they will be represented. 01:17:50 Speaker 6: Again, I don't. I'm pretty sure Angel's not going. But again, you know, I just think, like again, look at what it turned into. 01:17:57 Speaker 3: Yeah, like Angel should go. 01:17:59 Speaker 6: Because they you know what I mean, and it's part of it. It's like, Yo, you win, you go to the White House, you meet the President, even if you don't like him, or you don't like the First Lady, whatever, you go with your team, go to the White House. 01:18:08 Speaker 3: You know, you accept your give. 01:18:10 Speaker 6: The jersey to the First Lady or whatever or to the President, and you know, you have a celebration. That's part of the whole you know, winning the national title. But now it's turned into this. Now Angelis is in a position where she has to tell the First Lady we not coming because of the backlash that she got from taunting and being competitive. That's that's really what it is. So it just turned into again a bunch of shit that it shouldn't have turned into. It took away from the fact that two great teams competed and it was one of the best women's tournaments I've ever watched and definitely one of the best championship games. So, I mean, it just turned into something that is should of and it's just stupid. And here we all talking about a bunch of shit we shouldn't even be talking about. But either way, shout out to Ajurie, Shout out to Kayln Clark and their teams where they did for women's the women's tournament was it's definitely elevated the tournament that I think they have more views than the men's game because I don't I don't know many people that watched the final, the championship game for the men's game, So shout out to them for that alone. 01:19:11 Speaker 2: Would you go if we got invited to the Biden administration White House. 01:19:15 Speaker 6: To go see sleepy Joe and you no? 01:19:19 Speaker 2: Why not? 01:19:20 Speaker 5: Oh? 01:19:20 Speaker 3: I don't want to meet Joe Biden. 01:19:23 Speaker 2: I mean people have Alzheimer's are fun to be around. 01:19:25 Speaker 5: Wow, Yeah, but you tell all your secrets? I forget right away. 01:19:29 Speaker 2: Yeah, as you the same question? 01:19:31 Speaker 5: Whatever, get an ice cream call with them? 01:19:32 Speaker 3: You want to pinch my cheek? Where are you from? Son? 01:19:34 Speaker 6: I'm a grown fucking man, Get your hand over. But you know, old white men think everybody's a kid. It could be a grown man. Would a been Hey, how you doing? 01:19:40 Speaker 3: Son? Get off me? 01:19:41 Speaker 1: But I think, why do you have Why did you have an Italian accent? But I think that there's just been a lack of respect for president's period, starting with like with Trump, I think that that became a whole thing where people don't care about going to the White House as much as they used to. Are Am I crazy for that? 01:19:57 Speaker 2: No? 01:19:57 Speaker 3: People don't care what a lot of shit that they used to. 01:19:59 Speaker 5: Now they don't care to Obama's happy as hell. 01:20:02 Speaker 6: Yeah he was black. Yeah, it's cool to meet the first black president. That's pretty cool. But Donald Trump and everybody he's racist. 01:20:10 Speaker 3: He's this, he's that. Fuck him, I get it. 01:20:11 Speaker 1: And then nobody really likes Joe Biden. 01:20:14 Speaker 6: Like, Joe Biden doesn't even know you're there. He's sleep standing up it just like, why am I here? This old man's falling asleep standing at the podium. 01:20:22 Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean we Sometimes you just don't want to visit your grandparents when it's not out. 01:20:25 Speaker 3: I'm not going over there. 01:20:26 Speaker 5: Well, let's stay on something that also happened during the tournament. During the women's final, a commercial not a commercial, pardon me post went up on social media from a transgender social media influencer, Dylan mulvaney, a sponsored post with bud Light, and in the post, Dylan showing cans that have her face on the cans. So immediately transgender, transphobic people took to the mean streets of Twitter and boycotted and Heiser Busch and all the products. Who is that this is an influencer in the LGBTQ plus community. Okay, so they, you know, saw an opportunity to get it, like you know, partner do some brand sponsorship stuff, custom cans, all that stuff and for tournament time. Here's the caption here. 01:21:15 Speaker 2: But I thought the right hated cancel culture and boycotting products. I thought that was I thought that was un American. 01:21:21 Speaker 1: No, they were cutting up their fucking what were they cutting up the Nikes or something? They were cutting up their Adidas? 01:21:27 Speaker 2: Oh? 01:21:28 Speaker 5: What were they? Was it Nike? 01:21:30 Speaker 3: Adidas? From Kanye made the remarks he made. 01:21:33 Speaker 1: I know they were cutting up Adidas, but they were cutting up they always cut it was cut. 01:21:36 Speaker 6: Up the Didas that nobody wears they wasn't cutting no yeasies. Yeah, I ain't seen no slides being cut up. I ain't seen none of that in them yeasy hoodies being burned like y'all was y'all was burning a Didas performance where like nobody wears that. 01:21:50 Speaker 2: Why is this a big deal? 01:21:51 Speaker 3: Still? Transgender? Uh? Transphobia? 01:21:54 Speaker 4: Yes, we really like beer in America. 01:21:56 Speaker 6: People are listen, man, again, and this is I think that we get caught up because we are on social media. I think that we think that social media is like a real thing and it's not like you have a group of people that tweet things, that post things on social media, and we tend to think that this is what the world is feeling and it's not a real thing, like these are just a very very small cluster of people sprinkled on the Internet that get upset about certain things and they tweet it out and they post pictures and post videos, and we think that the entire world feels like this, where there's ninety percent of the world that don't even know that that's even happening. Like it's just like this is just one of those moments. We won't even be talking about this tomorrow. 01:22:33 Speaker 5: Mom. 01:22:33 Speaker 1: If you think that there is a very small transphobic community, it's. 01:22:38 Speaker 6: A huge transform You are No, I'm saying that cares about this bud light shit. 01:22:42 Speaker 5: Oh oh well, this is I think this is like most times where it's acceptable to be ignorant and racist or transphobic or whatever just to hate someone. They're using bud light as the vehicle to show how they feel about another group. They can't just outwardly hate Dylan for being a they have to hate bud Light, who now supports the people that they hate. So now it's like, oh shit, I have permission to shit on a brand, and I can. That brand is now forever in my mind attached to the thing that I really fucking hate. Cool. So, like we look at artists like this guy, this country singer Travis Tritt, who said, fuck all Anheuser Busch products take him off my tour hospitality rider. 01:23:21 Speaker 2: That thirty rack of bud Light is really going to kill him. 01:23:23 Speaker 5: And then and then we also get the video from Kid Rock of him loading up an ar and airing it out on like two cases of bud Light. So it's just a vehicle for them to be comfortable enough to project hate on a product rather than the people. 01:23:37 Speaker 6: And you talking about two men that literally I haven't seen Kid Rock in out before this video. 01:23:44 Speaker 3: I haven't seen anything kid Rock. I don't know what he's doing. 01:23:47 Speaker 2: This is where bud Light fucked up. And it's not hiring a trans influencer. I would assume the right would not know who the trans influencer is. Right, it looks just like a white woman. They should have put her on the can to see right wings response at who's this hot white chick that's on the can? And then in a month they go transgender, you're gay. That's how bud Light should have done this campaign. They should have put that woman on there, not said she was trans. Watched all these fucking uh tailgaters at the fucking Eagles gang, Oh, who's this hot? 01:24:22 Speaker 3: Who's this hot white chick? 01:24:24 Speaker 5: I love that accent? Put the QR coder only on the can. 01:24:29 Speaker 2: And then and then like a month later, during some really white sporting event or the Country Music Awards, they do a fucking commercial where that woman comes on camera and it's like, used to be a dude, ha cut camera. 01:24:45 Speaker 3: That's a sick bud Nobody is that a better campaign. Nobody's gonna stop drinking butt light. That's not this. 01:24:49 Speaker 2: Also, transgender people are not gonna start drinking but light. 01:24:52 Speaker 5: This is not this is not all they own selters. 01:24:54 Speaker 6: This is this is why this is just stupid, because this isn't gonna do anything bud bud Light is still going to be selling and Bush is not gonna lose any money behind this. 01:25:03 Speaker 3: This is just ignorance, a small group of ignorant. 01:25:06 Speaker 6: People being upset about stupid ship, Like this is what this is what I mean by it really doesn't matter. Like people get upset and offended by a ship, and it's like, this isn't gonna affect anything, like you being ignorant is not going to affect anything, like and bush will be fine, but it will still be selling at all these events, like nobody cares, Like nobody cares that you're offended by this dumb shit because you're ignorant. You're ignorant. If you're transphobic, that's just your ignorance. But you can't project your ignorance out and think that people are gonna be like, oh, yeah, I agree, let's not drink but light, Like what an interesting round. 01:25:37 Speaker 2: But you're not so much ignorant as you are just bored. Yeah, I'll get a hobby. 01:25:42 Speaker 6: Yeah, beers was definitely out of bullets and you had to purchase those beers. 01:25:47 Speaker 3: That that goes back. 01:25:48 Speaker 2: To those and those bullets. 01:25:49 Speaker 6: Yeah, like that goes back to when they used to purchase CDs and albums and bullo and it's like, I don't care what you. 01:25:55 Speaker 3: Do with those CDs. 01:25:56 Speaker 2: After my second week numbers are great, Like I don't get by. 01:26:00 Speaker 6: Actually go buy all of my albums out of the store and burn them. 01:26:04 Speaker 3: I don't care. It's just it's just stupid, ignorant ship. 01:26:08 Speaker 5: This is the crowd too that loves you know, the football games, basketball, a lot of sporting event crowd all those arenas only sell and Heiser Busch. 01:26:16 Speaker 3: So you're gonna go to the game now you only got bud light. 01:26:19 Speaker 5: I'm not a drink over. 01:26:21 Speaker 3: You're gonna an alcoholic, Like what do. 01:26:23 Speaker 5: You hate your life? 01:26:23 Speaker 3: Yeah, like strink the beer, to drink the beer, and they're going. 01:26:26 Speaker 1: To drink the can with the trans woman on it, Like. 01:26:29 Speaker 6: I don't care because they not even see the can because you know, white people have loved those little. 01:26:35 Speaker 3: You know, white people love those the can. 01:26:37 Speaker 5: We should make them shotgun it, so put the whole in, you know, like on on her. I don't know if it's whatever, the decision was made, if it's there or not, but then shotgun it all. Then it's like your boom you need. 01:26:49 Speaker 2: Actually that's a great you need. I think that's part of add that to the campaign that I. 01:26:52 Speaker 5: Was there, you go suggesting that it's like a shotgun case race. 01:26:56 Speaker 2: And on top of that, because you know Twitter, they allowed you can show what ever, if that transgender did did keep you know, kept the equipment, it would be funny. A month later that on Twitter she actually pulls her dick out with the bud Light camp just to show why can't she. 01:27:13 Speaker 5: Just be That's how she pierces it for the shotgun would hurt? He hooks her dicking? 01:27:17 Speaker 4: It can't she? 01:27:18 Speaker 3: It is funny? 01:27:18 Speaker 6: Why she Why can't she just drink a butt like like you gotta pull. 01:27:23 Speaker 5: It my cap. 01:27:24 Speaker 2: My campaign is to prove that these transphobic, racist guys are one dumb two thinks she's a woman and would fuck her. Then a month later they find out not you know, thought it was you. 01:27:39 Speaker 6: You're giving them too much credit. I think even if they knew it was a trans they would fuck. 01:27:42 Speaker 5: I mean, we've seen what that Republican Congress when they're drunk. 01:27:46 Speaker 3: But yeah, it is just watched like why you what are you mad at? You know what? 01:27:50 Speaker 2: I'm outraged that bud light costs twelve dollars at a Sporning event. 01:27:54 Speaker 6: That's what I'm outraged there, like y'all be paying fifteen dollars for a couple of it. 01:28:01 Speaker 2: Better come with a transgender you. 01:28:04 Speaker 3: Better transgender gentlemen man right here kidding me? Sit that translady right next to me at this game? Are you kidding me? For fifteen dollars, you gotta comport his fucking beer. 01:28:17 Speaker 2: This is just more more bullshit. But it's okay. 01:28:20 Speaker 5: There's another uh controversy. It's not even controversy. It's just the same people getting mad. Ru Paul has an official doll at Build a Bear, so you can imagine this butt like crowd also love that news because they're so invested in Build a Bear. 01:28:35 Speaker 1: Well, they feel like, okay, so so I'm not speaking for them, but I'm speaking for them. 01:28:39 Speaker 3: They are. 01:28:40 Speaker 1: They feel like it's being forced in their faces. That's what they feel the same way where they talk, where they say they're talking about it in schools, it's on TVs and every shows, it's on their beer kids. Now it's in their build of bears. They feel like it's being forced on them. 01:28:55 Speaker 5: You can also just not buy Black Bears were enough. 01:28:59 Speaker 2: It's like me and Jem and I can't even go hunting anymore and go to Build Bears. 01:29:02 Speaker 5: In front of me, I get a bud light and building bear anymore. 01:29:05 Speaker 3: Full day of fishing, I gotta go to build a bears. 01:29:07 Speaker 4: See this, that's actually really good. 01:29:10 Speaker 2: This here's my real voice. 01:29:13 Speaker 5: This is not my re read this quote. 01:29:15 Speaker 6: This Wold company is trying to bring satan into your homes. 01:29:18 Speaker 5: It's stuffy. 01:29:20 Speaker 3: That's a fire beer. I don't care what anyone I don't. You're not doing. Yeah, you know that's satan right there. 01:29:26 Speaker 6: That's not just the doll that's saying what I will say? 01:29:30 Speaker 1: Does Ruaul have a huge child? 01:29:34 Speaker 6: I thought about to go somewhere else with that. I was about to like, ma'am, I don't know, Hugh, never seen it. I don't know what you're about to know what I'm saying? 01:29:40 Speaker 1: Does ul have a huge child? Fucking audience? 01:29:44 Speaker 5: Sweet? 01:29:45 Speaker 3: No, But that's why people are. 01:29:46 Speaker 6: People are upset because they feel like this is this is this is something for children, and the fact that this is a grown adult male. 01:29:55 Speaker 4: You know how many adults by build of bears. 01:29:58 Speaker 2: Genis Smith says this is not good. When my son was little, we went to build a bear many times. It was so much fun. I sure wouldn't go now. I felt probably pretty fun. 01:30:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, damn Jenis Smith. 01:30:13 Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, listen, I understand how some people could feel offended, but it's it's other things like I saw it, this is this is now, this is just whatever I'm talking about, like people being offended by things Like I saw a clip where there were certain books that were. 01:30:27 Speaker 3: In schools, like in elementary schools. 01:30:29 Speaker 6: That had it was like incest in uh a rape. Yeah, well yes, but there were there were there were some books that were available in these libraries that was like, how do we not know that these books are in shelves at our kids' schools in the library, like with this type of language in it, with these type of images. 01:30:50 Speaker 4: Reading. 01:30:51 Speaker 1: All right, but let's be honest. When I was a child, I was reading when I was an elementary, a child called it. Does anybody remember that? 01:30:58 Speaker 5: Yeah? 01:30:59 Speaker 1: Yeah, that was like required fucking reading and that. 01:31:01 Speaker 5: Was not and that was abused. 01:31:04 Speaker 1: Yeah, like we're not. Also we grew up, we're reading like Harry Potter books and ship. There was all types of Erry books. 01:31:09 Speaker 2: Yeah, there was Shakespeare Ship that was required. 01:31:12 Speaker 1: Yeah, of mouse, mice, of mice and men. Yeah, there was all types of violent, horrible ship that we were reading as kids. 01:31:19 Speaker 2: And the animal farm metaphor exactly. 01:31:22 Speaker 4: Do you remember what they called Jim. 01:31:25 Speaker 2: I've thus forgot what they called Jim. 01:31:30 Speaker 3: No, I didn't read that ship. 01:31:31 Speaker 4: Oh okay, good, Maybe it's better that way. 01:31:33 Speaker 2: But they got really specific and explaining Jim in a weird way. 01:31:38 Speaker 4: Yeah, Huckleberry called him, and we're Jim nigga Jim. 01:31:43 Speaker 2: Yeah, he through the hard e R. 01:31:45 Speaker 5: Yeah. 01:31:45 Speaker 2: I think it was capitalized in the book. Yeah, just the e n R was. 01:31:49 Speaker 3: I will not read this. 01:31:52 Speaker 5: Rory put it down chapter one. 01:31:53 Speaker 2: I don't think. 01:31:57 Speaker 5: It's like a mad fill in the blank. It's like Jim. Roy's like, nope, not me, my good old pal Jim in this book audio Friendship, that's family Jim. 01:32:11 Speaker 3: I would self edit like I do with rap. Yeah, you have to. 01:32:15 Speaker 6: Editing is a good thing, and self editing is what people need to do before they go on social media and tweet shit. 01:32:20 Speaker 2: So I don't even think I read Huckleberry Fan. 01:32:22 Speaker 4: I definitely didn't, but I know that much. 01:32:25 Speaker 2: I mean, listen, the Ken doll doesn't have a dick, so when were they not outraged? 01:32:30 Speaker 4: Then that's a great point. 01:32:32 Speaker 2: And then if you had a dick, that would have been weird. So it's dulls. 01:32:36 Speaker 4: Yeah, they're bears, but this is also for adults. 01:32:39 Speaker 2: But reality, that's the. 01:32:40 Speaker 1: Thing, like, out of all the people in the world, Up Paul has a teddy Bear, and Rue Paul is not. He's not for children, like he's for adults. So that's that's the point that I kind of understand, Like, Okay, well, what the fuck is the point? So I can't be mad when it seems like you guys are forcing this in our faces, because like, this is forced to me, this is forced. 01:33:00 Speaker 2: Is their teddy Bears only the children bear not have other characters? 01:33:03 Speaker 1: Yeah they do, I'm sure they do, and I'm sure there are people that children know who the fuck they are. 01:33:08 Speaker 4: Yeah, but this is for adults. 01:33:09 Speaker 1: I'm sure Football has children fans, but he's not a children's entertainer. 01:33:13 Speaker 5: Yeah. Also, yeah, to Edden's point, not all bill de Bears are markets for children. They're there. They've become collectors items. 01:33:19 Speaker 4: People like a lot of adults, growing adults collect action figures all the time. 01:33:23 Speaker 2: It's a big Valancine's Day thing. 01:33:25 Speaker 5: This is a limited release too, so it is they're like trying to create a novelty behind it. 01:33:29 Speaker 3: Yeah, do you'll think that there are double standards in being gay. 01:33:32 Speaker 5: Yes, wait what you're saying between men and men versus women? 01:33:37 Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yes, you just said that men can't be bisexual. 01:33:40 Speaker 2: So but women are also super homophobic because you guys shame us. You call us gay when we're not as an insult, I have already say he's gay. 01:33:47 Speaker 1: Sorry, Where do you think that insult came from being gay? 01:33:52 Speaker 4: Men? Specifically? 01:33:57 Speaker 5: That came from men. 01:34:00 Speaker 6: I just think that that was sorry, sorry, And I think double stands. I think double stands are healthy. But there's definitely double stands. That's just the world for sure. 01:34:09 Speaker 1: Well like like what, like what double standards are healthy? 01:34:13 Speaker 3: Well, I mean exactly, like if a guy. 01:34:17 Speaker 6: This is why it's crazy, because if a guy has a sexual experience with a guy just one time in his life and never does it again, he's still gay forever. 01:34:27 Speaker 2: But you, like, we've had this conversation before and you said that and we all said like, no, I don't know, and he was like, no, that's big gay. 01:34:34 Speaker 5: Yeah you did say that. 01:34:35 Speaker 2: I think so as well. 01:34:38 Speaker 4: And I'm still saying so if a girl has a girl, you don't think that she's big gay. 01:34:42 Speaker 5: For no. 01:34:47 Speaker 3: Fact. But she's great, that's a great time. Actually, what's her number? Hang out? 01:34:55 Speaker 6: But like if if if a woman knows, like damarus, if you know, if you have a friend guy and you know that he had sexual he had a sexual experience with a guy before. 01:35:05 Speaker 1: And he didn't like it, well say he hated it. 01:35:08 Speaker 3: I'm sure you can never not see him sucking in God's dick. 01:35:13 Speaker 2: I've heard plenty of women say that they could never deal or date, like really be in a relationship with a guy that was either bisexual or had male. 01:35:20 Speaker 3: Can you experience I'm asking you women, you can? You can? You can you date a god that had sex with one guy in his life? 01:35:28 Speaker 5: No? 01:35:29 Speaker 1: I cannot? 01:35:29 Speaker 3: Why not? 01:35:30 Speaker 1: Because I just I am extremely like I'm bad, I am toxic with the way I think about men and women like so I am not the person to ask. But I know plenty of women who do date bisexual men. 01:35:42 Speaker 5: But you set the standard. That's the point you speak for all women. Well no, not just demerits too. But there's an example that we're in our seeing. Like yesterday, my good friend who you both met in Houston's been here was seeing someone who came out. You met her too, as by too. He confided in her. He said, Hey, I really like you. I want to date you, but I also would like to experiment with men. I think I'm like attracted at both. And she was like, fuck that. Now. 01:36:11 Speaker 6: No man has ever said to a woman you like women, get away from you. 01:36:15 Speaker 1: Wait, hold on, as the bisexual. No, let me tell y'all are very very y'all. 01:36:28 Speaker 5: Are very not for real. 01:36:30 Speaker 1: I'm telling you as a bisexual women woman. Yes, there are. I have had men who left over that ship. A lot of men who know a lot of. 01:36:41 Speaker 3: Men like straight. Tell me. 01:36:44 Speaker 1: I've had men straight telling me I don't like that gey. Believe I swear to there are. There are more than you would think. 01:36:50 Speaker 3: But I feel like that's some insecure that's great to say. You know why they don't like that, that that gay ship? Yeah, because they're gay. That's how I wait. 01:36:57 Speaker 4: No, that's not what I said. 01:37:00 Speaker 6: When I say, man that doesn't like a woman that likes women, you're gay or Gayay. 01:37:05 Speaker 5: The original point was women create that double standard. They do. 01:37:08 Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure, because, like I said, a woman if a guy, if a guy has a sexual experience with one guy, say it happened fifteen years ago on spring break in Fort Lauderdale. 01:37:17 Speaker 5: That's very specific. 01:37:20 Speaker 3: I mean I figured would experience. I feel like a guy would have a experience on a spring break. 01:37:26 Speaker 6: Like you know how white boys get sa diplow say he on toy yah, he like wherever the party is that it might happen with a guy. 01:37:33 Speaker 2: I feel like there's enough women at spring break he wanted to do that. 01:37:37 Speaker 3: I'm with you any right, So let's just say it happened one time. 01:37:41 Speaker 6: The marriage said she cannot be with a guy that had a sexual experience. 01:37:45 Speaker 3: With another guy. 01:37:46 Speaker 6: I'm just saying that. I'm not saying you're wrong. I do know some guys that I'm saying. I think you're speaking to, like girls that date women all the time type of thing with guys like nah, I ain't really into that. I'm talking about if you just had a sexuspriience with one of your homegirls one night, you tell your boyfriend that he's not leaving you. 01:38:06 Speaker 1: I literally got left for that exact ding no no, no, but no, no no, you're vibe my first sexual experience with a woman. My boyfriend broke up with me when he found out about it. How are you telling you? I was eighteen years old, but how was he He was twenty five, Jesus, I'm telling you twenty four. I'm telling you that there are men who, especially older men, do not like that gay shit. They don't like There's plenty of them. Sure, the majority, yes, think it's cute, right, but a lot of them do not. 01:38:36 Speaker 5: Think it's because he tried to be as well, but he couldn't. He never found out that you did. 01:38:40 Speaker 1: He don't even know that. He was never trying to get a three of He never met her. 01:38:43 Speaker 2: And no, no mars is saying she'll datum, but he doesn't deserve a build a bear. That's all. Leave it out of the mall. 01:38:52 Speaker 1: But I just feel like men set that standard because women will accept the bisexual men before men will accept the bisexual. 01:38:58 Speaker 5: I say, otherwise women will, women. 01:39:02 Speaker 1: Will so, y'all, So women will accept that a man could be bisexual before men will accept that a man can be I. 01:39:07 Speaker 2: Think, actually, you just don't think you're accepted. 01:39:11 Speaker 3: And then y'all don't even accept it though. 01:39:13 Speaker 5: Look at the rhetoric you start like, y'all don't. 01:39:15 Speaker 3: Even accept it though, But y'all will accept it before that. 01:39:17 Speaker 1: Will accept it, will accept that you can be bisexual, we won't be attracted to it. That's the difference. Y'all won't accept that a man can be bisexual. 01:39:23 Speaker 5: We all do. 01:39:25 Speaker 2: Only one that being by but also biphobic is I'm not by phobic. 01:39:30 Speaker 4: That's a lot. 01:39:32 Speaker 1: Y'all called me homophobic, right, call you homophobic. I said that you're not homophobic. But I just the same way that I don't think that if you won't date a trans person, you're not transphobic. But you can be on a track. 01:39:43 Speaker 3: You can can have preferences. 01:39:45 Speaker 6: And I think that's where the world has gotten lost, where they started feeling like we can't have preferences. 01:39:50 Speaker 3: Can have a preference. It's okay to have a preference. I don't like Chicken or bud Light. I don't like bud Light. I don't like this. I don't. 01:39:57 Speaker 6: But now I'm not saying I don't like bud Light because y'all pull a trans transsexual woman. 01:40:01 Speaker 3: On the camp. 01:40:02 Speaker 6: I'm over stellar type of guy, you know what I mean? 01:40:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, but I like the stella. 01:40:07 Speaker 6: Is what I'm saying. So you like, Well, no, that's not what I'm saying. I know if dislike him, but that's not what I'm saying. 01:40:12 Speaker 2: What if Stella does a campaign with a transgender and it's called Stella got her dick back. 01:40:16 Speaker 3: Ah campaign. 01:40:21 Speaker 1: Advertising? 01:40:22 Speaker 5: So yeah there? 01:40:23 Speaker 6: Oh man, well listen man, thank you for another episode. 01:40:27 Speaker 3: Guys. 01:40:27 Speaker 6: It's been great on this audio clusterfuck of a journey that we've been on. 01:40:31 Speaker 3: Today. 01:40:31 Speaker 2: Next episode we're getting into this cash app founder uh being stabbed to at the rest in peace to Bobby. But we're going to get into. 01:40:37 Speaker 6: This wild story, wild story that came out. But you know again, it just happened. Wait for some more information to come out on that. So yeah, we'll be back in a few days.
