<v Speaker 1>Go a bit. It's the Internet. You're busy. <v Speaker 2>Let's do this for January twenty ninth, twenty twenty five. <v Speaker 2>For the next hour or so, let me help you <v Speaker 2>sort through the world of gaming on Games Mornings Live <v Speaker 2>with me Jeff Grubb. Today, there was a shakeup in <v Speaker 2>the PlayStation c suite and Xbox has seemingly bought its <v Speaker 2>way to the top of the gaming heap. But first, <v Speaker 2>please join me in welcome today's co host to Games Mornings. <v Speaker 2>It's Lex A lot of you everybody, Lexi, how are <v Speaker 2>you doing? <v Speaker 3>Web? <v Speaker 4>I just spent over one hundred yuo on things for <v Speaker 4>changing my name legally. Yeah, and then on top about, <v Speaker 4>I also spent about one thousand y oom booking flights <v Speaker 4>to Japan. So if anyone wants to hire a freelance writer, <v Speaker 4>now would be a great time for me. <v Speaker 1>Let's let's make it happen. Let's let's pay for Japan. <v Speaker 1>Let's pay for all the paper for work. <v Speaker 2>It's it always happens all at once, right, So like, oh, man, <v Speaker 2>I was feeling flush and then oh no. <v Speaker 1>All these things stacked up at the same time. <v Speaker 4>So the Japan thing was like I was kind of like, <v Speaker 4>you know, I've always wanted to do an actual holiday <v Speaker 4>travel on my own, and I've never done that, and <v Speaker 4>I haven't actually been on holiday since twenty seventeen with <v Speaker 4>like my family. So I was like, listen, I have <v Speaker 4>to do this. And then I looked at Japan and <v Speaker 4>I was like, that's fucking expensive. So now I'm like, okay, <v Speaker 4>what about I go for three weeks and one of <v Speaker 4>the weeks is TGS and I make ACKs some money <v Speaker 4>on that, and I have some friends in Japan who <v Speaker 4>I can hang out with for the other two weeks. <v Speaker 4>So that's what I'm doing. And then the name change stuff. <v Speaker 4>Let's just say global politics has changed in such a <v Speaker 4>way that I'm preempting any potential win changes in Irish politics. <v Speaker 2>Sure, yeah, yeah, you've seen enough seen enough shifts to <v Speaker 2>know anything can happen. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, actually guys, yeah or good allies across the palm <v Speaker 4>and either side of across. <v Speaker 1>The pond in any direction. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, really both changing their opinions on certain things at <v Speaker 4>a government level. So I was like, I should get <v Speaker 4>this done sooner other than Lasia. <v Speaker 2>Yep, it's kind of it's all rapidly falling apart. Hey, <v Speaker 2>they can't just let everybody know. They can't turn me <v Speaker 2>against you. They're only making me more on your side. <v Speaker 2>I don't know why they do these things, but no, <v Speaker 2>we're with you and we're gonna stand with you no <v Speaker 2>matter what. So it's getting it's getting rotten out here. <v Speaker 2>Lexi in the old US Avey not feeling very fond <v Speaker 2>of this place at the moment. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, we're. <v Speaker 2>Gonna we're gonna do our best to kind of keep <v Speaker 2>our heads up and take care of each other as <v Speaker 2>best we can. But you know that I'm glad that <v Speaker 2>you're getting ahead of it. You take care of yourself first, <v Speaker 2>and we'll be there to have your back as best <v Speaker 2>we can. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, thank you, absolutely. How how else are things going? <v Speaker 4>You know I've been I was like Januarie was super <v Speaker 4>quiet for the first three quarters of it, And it <v Speaker 4>was super super quiet because there were no games coming out, <v Speaker 4>and we did a shitload of work with start Menu <v Speaker 4>for Winter Spectacular. We had pieces going up every single day. <v Speaker 4>We put up like thrsty nine pieces over the course <v Speaker 4>of a month, all of which for a website that <v Speaker 4>doesn't run ads and doesn't have any like real money <v Speaker 4>coming in is a lot. So I was really burnt <v Speaker 4>out after that, and then like not having anything to <v Speaker 4>work on in January was a bit like oh shit, <v Speaker 4>like there's no work right now. And then I look <v Speaker 4>around at like freelancing budgets and everyone's like we're already <v Speaker 4>out of budget for the year, which is really great. Thankfully. <v Speaker 4>There's a couple of games coming out now. So I <v Speaker 4>reviewed AUCS Must Die Death Trap for Shack News, this <v Speaker 4>frime that I. <v Speaker 3>Didn't like it, super didn't dig it. <v Speaker 4>It's one of those games where the more I played, <v Speaker 4>the more I was like, ah, man, it's just I <v Speaker 4>talk about it in my review. But it's a weird <v Speaker 4>game because it's twenty five dollars and there's no micro <v Speaker 4>transactions in it. But the like measure progression Treadmill is <v Speaker 4>such a slog that you must assume there are plans <v Speaker 4>to like fast for you to be able to pay <v Speaker 4>to fast track, because there's like, after twenty hours, I've <v Speaker 4>barely made any progression in that game, and it's just <v Speaker 4>everything is so slow to upgrade. And then I'm reviewing <v Speaker 4>another game which I don't think I can talk about, <v Speaker 4>but I finished it last night and it was excellent, <v Speaker 4>and it is something that is going to fuck Jan up, <v Speaker 4>really gonna fuck Jam in particular up. It's his shith <v Speaker 4>And then I'm reviewing like a Dragon. Pio Uku's in <v Speaker 4>Hawaii next month, so that'll be good. And next month <v Speaker 4>is super fucking busy because you know, lots of games <v Speaker 4>coming out. Suddenly, there's like fifteen games on the release <v Speaker 4>schedule for next month, so it's gonna be busy. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and there's a you know, so I started looking around. <v Speaker 2>I'm like, oh, there's there's some games right now, but <v Speaker 2>it's not like next month. Next month is like, oh, <v Speaker 2>you can't ignore those games. This is like Sniper Elite <v Speaker 2>Resistance or ORCS Must Die. And I think it's easy <v Speaker 2>for a lot of people if they're not in the <v Speaker 2>mood or they don't want to spend money, to just <v Speaker 2>sort of overlook those though that's just the kinds of <v Speaker 2>games that they are. So yeah, it'll it'll pick up <v Speaker 2>in February, and it doesn't feel like it's gonna let <v Speaker 2>off until summer. And even then we'll see, let's probably <v Speaker 2>plenty of games still to get announced. In the meantime, <v Speaker 2>let's let's do a show and explain what we do <v Speaker 2>here most weekdays. I Jeff Grub will help piece your <v Speaker 2>gaming life back together. That includes breaking news and maybe <v Speaker 2>even some of our own original reporting. For all these topics, <v Speaker 2>I'll get the input of a bona fide expert who <v Speaker 2>will make me look smart. If you were watching live <v Speaker 2>on twitch, welcome. You can always listen to the show <v Speaker 2>later on podcast feeds by searching for Game Mess Mornings, <v Speaker 2>or find the RSS on giant bomb dot com. You <v Speaker 2>can also catch the show later with chapters and timestamps <v Speaker 2>on YouTube. <v Speaker 1>Hello YouTube. <v Speaker 2>All right, we have a lot to get into, so <v Speaker 2>let's start the Morning Mess with PlayStation leadership shakeup sees <v Speaker 2>new soul CEO in charge. This is from Darren Bonfuse <v Speaker 2>at GameSpot. It's gonna read through this and then we'll <v Speaker 2>kind of talk about what I heard about this on <v Speaker 2>the Interactive Entertainment is switching from co CEO system currently <v Speaker 2>occupied by Hideaki Nashino or Nishio and Herman Holst to <v Speaker 2>join to just one person in charge. Nischo has been <v Speaker 2>promoted to sole CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment and we'll <v Speaker 2>step into this role starting April first, twenty twenty five. <v Speaker 2>Holst will continue to serve as CEO of the studio's <v Speaker 2>business group, reporting directly to Nisho. It has been a <v Speaker 2>pleasure working more closely with Herman and Nisho and gaining <v Speaker 2>insight into the ever changing, fast paced world of Sony <v Speaker 2>Interactive Entertainment. CFO Heroki Totoki said in a press statement, <v Speaker 2>as we hand the Patanda Nisho in this except in <v Speaker 2>this exceptional leadership team, I am confident that SEE will <v Speaker 2>reach new heights in the days of head Let's stop here. <v Speaker 1>This is what it's actually about. People, I think completely fairly. <v Speaker 2>Ours are looking at this as like, oh Man, Herman <v Speaker 2>Holstk got kicked to the side, and it's just because <v Speaker 2>of Concord and all this, And of course they are <v Speaker 2>changing things up inside of Sony because of Concord. That <v Speaker 2>clearly did happen. This is more about, seemingly, you know, <v Speaker 2>I can't confirm this actually, but like this seems like <v Speaker 2>it's more about getting total key out of PlayStation and <v Speaker 2>back on the path to taking over Sony. <v Speaker 1>Entirely as an entire corporation. <v Speaker 4>It's kind of weird that he like came in and <v Speaker 4>became the head of PlayStation, considering he was so high <v Speaker 4>up in sonyaf. <v Speaker 2>Exactly, So this was always a detour for him where <v Speaker 2>he was like, Okay, Jim Ryan did made some choices <v Speaker 2>I need. Well, I'm gonna go in there and get <v Speaker 2>my hands dirty on this thing. PlayStation is the golden <v Speaker 2>goose for Sony and in many many ways pays for <v Speaker 2>a lot of the bills. So getting there and getting <v Speaker 2>a really good understanding of PlayStation gonna beneficial to eventually <v Speaker 2>becoming CEO of Sony, which seems like the path that <v Speaker 2>he's on, and then also making sure that that you know, <v Speaker 2>cleaning up any messes and understanding what the path is <v Speaker 2>going to be going forward. So this is about a <v Speaker 2>nish No stepping up into the space the space that <v Speaker 2>was previously occupied by toto Ke and. <v Speaker 1>Permanent Host's role is pretty much untouched. <v Speaker 2>He I mean, I think they even say like he's <v Speaker 2>still CEO of the Studio Group, just not CEO of Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Host will continue to serve as CEO of the Studio <v Speaker 2>Business Group, reporting directly to Niche now, so he's reporting <v Speaker 2>to Nisio And that might sound like an emotion, but <v Speaker 2>I think this is more just like things shifting around <v Speaker 2>slightly and all the same things will continue to happen <v Speaker 2>as they were in the last several months. Basically, do <v Speaker 2>you read anything else into this? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I mean the way that they kind of had <v Speaker 4>that original partnerships, the co CEO partnership split up was <v Speaker 4>like Nischano was head of the platform and Holts was <v Speaker 4>head of the studios, and in that relationship you can <v Speaker 4>already kind of see what what or how Holts would <v Speaker 4>kind of be reportion to that guy, Like it is <v Speaker 4>going to be the system that leads the developers in <v Speaker 4>some ways, you know, because the next system is what <v Speaker 4>limits the developers or what enables them and things like that. <v Speaker 4>And I'm sure this probably changes like the dynamic of <v Speaker 4>the c suite relationship between those two and it might <v Speaker 4>not feel great that someone has just gotten a title <v Speaker 4>promotion over you and now you're reporting to them after <v Speaker 4>working with them directly. But I don't think in material terms, <v Speaker 4>this changes a whole lot about the day to day <v Speaker 4>of Sony. Other than taking to Tokey out of Ish <v Speaker 4>and placing him on the Sony side, it seems like <v Speaker 4>he has really reasserted the people who he wants in charge, <v Speaker 4>and like you look at the amount of things that <v Speaker 4>were cold in the last like six months under him, <v Speaker 4>he clearly cleaned house in a very serious way of <v Speaker 4>he was not happy with the projects that had been <v Speaker 4>greenlish or that were currently in production, and whether stopping <v Speaker 4>production on all of those is the right call is <v Speaker 4>impossible to say if you haven't seen those games, and <v Speaker 4>if you don't know how long in development they are. <v Speaker 4>Like I was thinking about this the other day. You <v Speaker 4>know that Blue Point game must have been nearly done <v Speaker 4>because like Demon Souls came out in twenty twenty, and <v Speaker 4>so it must have like five years. It must keep <v Speaker 4>it getting Yeah, it must have been getting ready in <v Speaker 4>some shape or form, and it must have been like <v Speaker 4>playable in some shape or form. So those are like <v Speaker 4>big calls to make to not release stuff like that. <v Speaker 4>And I think that's a testament to how much Sony <v Speaker 4>has seen the washer dry up from this particular well <v Speaker 4>that they thought was like overflowing, and it turns out, no, <v Speaker 4>there's a lot of water in that well, but like <v Speaker 4>only three or four people are actually pumping ash, and <v Speaker 4>you're not going to be able to like start pumping <v Speaker 4>it there yourself because they're just going to kick you <v Speaker 4>out of the space. <v Speaker 3>So yeah, it's it's a weird one. <v Speaker 2>This is, I mean, I think you nailed it where <v Speaker 2>it's like totally he seemed to be doing doing the <v Speaker 2>thing that like after Ricky Rick Hootello, when Rick Hotello <v Speaker 2>left EA or was fired by EA, and then they <v Speaker 2>had that long gap before they hired Andrew Wilson as CEO, <v Speaker 2>and they had an older CEO kind of come in <v Speaker 2>as the chairman and basically just clean house and cut <v Speaker 2>a ton of jobs and did a bunch of dirty <v Speaker 2>work that would have looked really bad for a new CEO, <v Speaker 2>just kind of going there and ripping apart everything in <v Speaker 2>there and leaving kind of a husk, but a streamlined <v Speaker 2>husk that would make it easier for a for a <v Speaker 2>new leadership team to kind of come in and make decisions. <v Speaker 2>Kind of feels like that's what happened here where totally's <v Speaker 2>like I'm gonna I'll listen. I will take the brunt <v Speaker 2>of making these harsh choices to cancel a lot of <v Speaker 2>games people have been working on for years. I will <v Speaker 2>set up a new sort of a baseline for you <v Speaker 2>to work from. Now you go make the decision, the <v Speaker 2>positive decisions to green light things going forward, and you <v Speaker 2>can have something of a fresh start. Niche, you know, <v Speaker 2>someone who has been in the PlayStation for a long time. <v Speaker 2>There's a lot of good relationships, and the idea now <v Speaker 2>is Okay, build a future for PlayStation, a new future <v Speaker 2>for PlayStation, separate from the one that we thought we <v Speaker 2>were going to be building and was completely wrong. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I think something that like has been very and <v Speaker 4>you've talked about it before about like the games industry <v Speaker 4>has had massive growth for such a long time and <v Speaker 4>now it's having to reckon with not having as big growth. <v Speaker 4>Like the games industry has always been a dirty business <v Speaker 4>because it's a business, like all businesses are dirty businesses <v Speaker 4>in that sense, and suddenly you feel it a lot <v Speaker 4>more when you're not making money or when you're not <v Speaker 4>making as much money as people want you to. So <v Speaker 4>I think that's kind of the reckoning that's happening here, <v Speaker 4>is the readjustment of things aren't as good as they <v Speaker 4>once were, even if they're still good. <v Speaker 3>It's fucking shit. It's really bad. <v Speaker 1>Absolutely. <v Speaker 2>There is a little bit of a read on this <v Speaker 2>from PlayStation fans where they're happy to be like, Okay, <v Speaker 2>Niche you know, is in charge, not Herman host Herman <v Speaker 2>hosts seem to be big on Live service, so this <v Speaker 2>is how they're reading it. I don't necessarily agree with this, <v Speaker 2>whether like Herman Holst was the live service guy and <v Speaker 2>Nishio has been with PlayStation since like two thousand. He's <v Speaker 2>an old school guy. So this means that we're going <v Speaker 2>to get more of the kinds of games. <v Speaker 1>That we really want. I mean, I think that they <v Speaker 1>probably are. <v Speaker 2>Going to get more of the games that they probably want, <v Speaker 2>but out of a necessity of they don't know what <v Speaker 2>else to make. <v Speaker 1>Do you think that there's anything to. <v Speaker 2>That, Like how much of a live service guy do <v Speaker 2>you really peg as a Herman Holst? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? <v Speaker 4>I mean, like you look at it Kalilla add multiplayer <v Speaker 4>in kill Zone, but like those weren't multiplayer games. Those <v Speaker 4>were games that were single player shooters first and foremost, and. <v Speaker 3>They were tech pieces. <v Speaker 4>Like Herman Holst has always struck me as a tech <v Speaker 4>guy and a guy who really wanted to like lead <v Speaker 4>innovation in what engines are we using, Like they developed <v Speaker 4>their own engine internally and then they started lighting it <v Speaker 4>out to Kojima and stuff. He does very much so <v Speaker 4>seem like a guy who that is his like interest <v Speaker 4>is enabling developers to make different kinds of things and <v Speaker 4>games and stuff like that. So whether that be that, <v Speaker 4>like maybe he thought this was the best way to <v Speaker 4>enable developers was to get them all making multiplayer games <v Speaker 4>that would get them a shitload of money, I don't know, <v Speaker 4>but like I think ultimately, like Herman Holst is probably <v Speaker 4>just a businessman at this point, Like he's less of <v Speaker 4>a developer and more of a businessman, and this is <v Speaker 4>the shift that happens when you become a businessman. <v Speaker 1>Yep. <v Speaker 2>I think you know, a lot of people in Chatter <v Speaker 2>are kind of being like ah Niso also seemed to <v Speaker 2>be on board with the live service stuff. This seems <v Speaker 2>like copium and that's yes, I think I tend to <v Speaker 2>agree with that. I think, you know, these corporate leadership teams, <v Speaker 2>like I think we want to assign like character sheets <v Speaker 2>to the people that run these companies and be like, <v Speaker 2>this is the kind of person they are, and this <v Speaker 2>is the kind of things they're into, and it's like, <v Speaker 2>I don't they're all just trying to make money for <v Speaker 2>these companies and they'll kind of kind of go along <v Speaker 2>with the flow if it seems like the new thing <v Speaker 2>is going to do that and then when it doesn't, <v Speaker 2>they will maybe retreat to something that is familiar. But <v Speaker 2>I think Herman Host and Nicho are e guys that <v Speaker 2>would be willing to produce games that are big, single player, <v Speaker 2>narrative driven games that Sony is known for. So yeah, <v Speaker 2>probably will get more of that. But Sony is still <v Speaker 2>looking around for what's next, as we always say on <v Speaker 2>the show, and they just. <v Speaker 4>It is going to be interesting because I talked about <v Speaker 4>it on Blue Sky awhile ago. Like the dearth of <v Speaker 4>first party games that seem to be far into development <v Speaker 4>within Sony is really kind of staggering. Like you have <v Speaker 4>Insomniac working on their stuff which may or may not <v Speaker 4>come out this year. You have Goes to your toy <v Speaker 4>and you have the Naughty Dog game. But then apart <v Speaker 4>from that, almost every other studio has either just released <v Speaker 4>a game or had their games either canceled or the <v Speaker 4>studio itself shut down, like Neonkoi and Firewalk, and there's <v Speaker 4>a third one. All studios were shut down within the <v Speaker 4>last twelve months. So whether Sony are going to be <v Speaker 4>making load of third party deals or something, or whether <v Speaker 4>they are just like, hey, we don't have exclusives for <v Speaker 4>a while, and they wind up in the same boat <v Speaker 4>as Microsoft, where Microsoft doesn't really have exclusives anymore either. <v Speaker 3>My default. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's a weird fucking time for games. Like suddenly <v Speaker 4>exclusives seem like more of a burden than. <v Speaker 1>A like a liability. Yeah, they're a liability. They are. <v Speaker 1>That is a thing sitting on your books that is <v Speaker 1>not making you the money it could be making. And <v Speaker 1>to what end? Uh you know, I said. <v Speaker 2>It months ago, and uh, you know, I probably will <v Speaker 2>actually finally make that video now that this news just <v Speaker 2>kind of keeps hitting. <v Speaker 1>Harder and harder. <v Speaker 2>They station won the console warr and so what it's <v Speaker 2>it's they have I have to do out what's next? <v Speaker 4>The super interesting thing will be, you know, how much <v Speaker 4>does Microsoft market this Indiana Jones Porsche to PS five? <v Speaker 4>How much do they push it? Do they try to <v Speaker 4>give it like this is the second push of the game? <v Speaker 4>I think, yeah, yeah, because it wasn't in that developer <v Speaker 4>direct which kind of leads you to believe like, oh, <v Speaker 4>they're just gonna do like a separate thing for it. <v Speaker 4>They're going to like do a separate marketing campaign for <v Speaker 4>and so I do think they will think of this <v Speaker 4>as like almost like early access one point or was <v Speaker 4>the second launch for a game nowadays they're thinking of <v Speaker 4>bringing it to PlayStation is like as big as a <v Speaker 4>second launch. <v Speaker 1>Yep, I think you might be onto something. <v Speaker 2>Uh all right, just real quick, before we move on PlayStation, <v Speaker 2>just drop the blog post saying that the PlayStation network <v Speaker 2>accounts will be optional on PC going forward. <v Speaker 1>Let's see here. I'll just read this headline. <v Speaker 2>Marvel Spider Man two, Horizon zero done remastered, the Last <v Speaker 2>Is Part two remastered, and God War Ragnarak to offer <v Speaker 2>in game content unlocks for users playing with the PlayStation <v Speaker 2>network account, but those are bonuses to like entice you <v Speaker 2>to sign up, and they're gonna instead make it optional <v Speaker 2>so you don't have to. Yes details on new benets <v Speaker 2>for players who opt to sign in with an account <v Speaker 2>for PlayStation network, like for Spider Man two early unlocked <v Speaker 2>suits you get the Spider Man twenty ninety nine black <v Speaker 2>suit and the Miles Morales twenty ninety nine suit early. <v Speaker 2>So it's gonna be things like that, which is probably <v Speaker 2>the move for this sort of thing. Make people feel <v Speaker 2>like they're getting something and they will be more likely <v Speaker 2>to do it. And then that's opposed to Okay, sure, <v Speaker 2>not everyone's going to do it to get this stuff early. <v Speaker 2>Some people just won't even care, they won't pay attention. Sure, <v Speaker 2>and you're gonna miss out on third data. I'm sorry, <v Speaker 2>but this way you get people who are excited to <v Speaker 2>or at least you know, a little bit more excited <v Speaker 2>to sign up, and won't whine about being forced to <v Speaker 2>sign with the PlayStation Network on PC, which is God. <v Speaker 2>I really do hate signing into these third party things. <v Speaker 2>When I launch a Steam game these days, LEXI that <v Speaker 2>EA launcher thing, I just it sits open in the <v Speaker 2>background on my computer, like asking me for a nick <v Speaker 2>my name and pastor, and I'm like, motherfucker, I don't <v Speaker 2>know it, and I don't care to learn it. <v Speaker 1>Just leave me alone. <v Speaker 4>I've been streaming all of the Call of Duty Black <v Speaker 4>Ops games because I'd like, never be a Call of <v Speaker 4>Duty campaign before, and I was like, listen, Black Ops <v Speaker 4>is a continuous theories in some ways, so this is <v Speaker 4>a really interesting way to see the breath of this <v Speaker 4>of the Call of Duty franchise. And I got to <v Speaker 4>Cold War and it's like sign into your Activision account <v Speaker 4>and a part of me fucking died and that was like, <v Speaker 4>I don't fucking I don't know what this password. I <v Speaker 4>had to spend like fifteen minutes off stream trying to <v Speaker 4>figure out, like. <v Speaker 3>What fucking email did I have this tie dude? <v Speaker 4>Like, and then I had to go and do it <v Speaker 4>for Black Ops six as well, and I was just like, God, <v Speaker 4>this is this is sucks. <v Speaker 3>This sucks. <v Speaker 4>It is wild it took them this long to figure out, like, hey, <v Speaker 4>we have to give people to do something, like to <v Speaker 4>get them to do something they don't want. <v Speaker 1>Yep. <v Speaker 4>Like people won't just do shit because you tell them <v Speaker 4>they should, especially if they literally can't. Like there are <v Speaker 4>places where you just can't sign into PSN because the <v Speaker 4>PSN doesn't operate in that country. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Schanz is no one who gaves me to use <v Speaker 2>as a password manager. I do, but like you got <v Speaker 2>to remember, Sean, how like just I could turn my <v Speaker 2>brain off and be that lazy or I'm like I <v Speaker 2>don't want it, Like I have a lot of passwords <v Speaker 2>in there, so I'm like i'd have to, like I <v Speaker 2>can use the search function. It's just that so like <v Speaker 2>two percent annoying that I just hate it, and I'm <v Speaker 2>like I have done it. <v Speaker 1>I have signed them before. <v Speaker 3>We need password managers. Is just the fucking like worst. <v Speaker 2>Yes exactly, and we'll do it and then it'll be like, Okay, <v Speaker 2>well we signed you out for security reasons. <v Speaker 1>After a week signing again, I'm like, I don't want <v Speaker 1>to do this. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>The Activision one is so especially annoying because they have <v Speaker 2>changed their accounts tied to Call of Duty so many <v Speaker 2>times and I'm just like, which one are you asking for? <v Speaker 4>It'll be fascinating playing through all those games in order, <v Speaker 4>because you're basically doing like three to four year jumps <v Speaker 4>in time and seeing like the way even in the <v Speaker 4>campaigns of like them being like, how do we fucking <v Speaker 4>make this next one different? To the menus just getting <v Speaker 4>like more and more fucking god awful. It's really fascinating <v Speaker 4>to like compare those games. That first game, I'm still <v Speaker 4>thinking about it. That first game is seven and a <v Speaker 4>half gigabytes. That first Black Ops game, Black Ops Call <v Speaker 4>Old Wall is one hundred and eighty nine gigabytes. <v Speaker 1>Yep, they got and it. <v Speaker 3>Costs seven hundred million dollars to make. <v Speaker 2>That's no, no, no doubt. All right, let's move on <v Speaker 2>to Xbox here. Despite Xbox's struggling hardware, Microsoft was reportedly <v Speaker 2>the top video game publisher in December. This is from <v Speaker 2>George yannga game spot. Let's read through this. Microsoft was <v Speaker 2>apparently the number one video game publisher in December twenty <v Speaker 2>twenty four, despite struggling to sell Xbox hardware. Its success <v Speaker 2>here is attributed to Call of Duty, according to Global Data. <v Speaker 2>To be clear, this data applies to Steam, PlayStation and Xbox. <v Speaker 2>As such, it does not paint a full or complete picture, <v Speaker 2>as Microsoft also owns and operates mobile gaming titles like <v Speaker 2>Candy Crush and Call of Duty Mobile. According to data <v Speaker 2>from Ampeer, Call of Duty HQ, which comprises Black Ops six, <v Speaker 2>Warzone and other Call of Duty games, drew in thirty <v Speaker 2>eight drew in thirty eight monthly users. That's probably thirty <v Speaker 2>eight million monthly users probably, you think in November twenty <v Speaker 2>twenty four, and sixty four percent of consumers spending on <v Speaker 2>micro Soft titles in December was through PlayStation, mostly. <v Speaker 1>On Call of Duty. <v Speaker 2>It's like, well, yeah, like Call of Duty is gonna <v Speaker 2>make that was going to swing that in the PlayStation <v Speaker 2>direction immediately, So that's not too surprising. Microsoft's position as <v Speaker 2>the top publisher in twenty twenty four also included sales <v Speaker 2>of Indiana Jones in the Great Circle or the Fantastic Circle, <v Speaker 2>depending on who you are, which was released in December, <v Speaker 2>and Perie Swell Circle Really swell, sir, you did a <v Speaker 2>good job on that circle. Andy m Perre also noted <v Speaker 2>that Electronic Arts generated three hundred, three hundred and sixty <v Speaker 2>six million excuse me over the same period, put in <v Speaker 2>it second to Microsoft. E Sports FC twenty five was <v Speaker 2>the biggest driver for EA's success, although it's still underperformed <v Speaker 2>according to EA's internal expectations. Chinese publishers like net Ease <v Speaker 2>and Tencent pulled in impressive numbers as well. Ampere estimated <v Speaker 2>that Marvel Rivals brought in twenty nine million monthly active <v Speaker 2>users and Path of Extyle two generated one. <v Speaker 1>Hundred and forty eight million dollars. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, this is an incomplete picture. It's also I think <v Speaker 2>ampeer's internal estimations which are always going to be projections. <v Speaker 2>For the most part, they will have access to a <v Speaker 2>lot more data than we do, not all the data. <v Speaker 2>The fact that they are just looking at Steam PlayStation <v Speaker 2>and Xbox Xbox does leave out massive swaths of China <v Speaker 2>and a lot of other important markets. So yeah, I <v Speaker 2>mean Microsoft probably is actually now the number one publisher, <v Speaker 2>very close to ten cent or very close to ten cent. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, this is this was the whole end goal <v Speaker 2>here for. <v Speaker 1>That big acquisition. <v Speaker 2>Really, I think during that acquisition they were probably talking internally. <v Speaker 2>They were talking internally about like what are we gonna <v Speaker 2>do with exclusives? But very quickly it's like, this is <v Speaker 2>so expensive and what is the point of doing this <v Speaker 2>if we are not going to kind of try to <v Speaker 2>grow beyond the confines of the Xbox hardware And they <v Speaker 2>have done exactly that, and now they are number one <v Speaker 2>and it has changed the landscape overall. <v Speaker 1>How do you read all this? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's interesting because like hardware has never been the <v Speaker 4>part of the selling video games that has been profitable, <v Speaker 4>Like it's always been the last leader. <v Speaker 3>Bush. <v Speaker 4>It worked in such a way that once you had <v Speaker 4>the console out and everyone was paying you thirty percent <v Speaker 4>to get their games ONISH, that money just exponentially grew <v Speaker 4>really quickly for you. Now it's at the point where <v Speaker 4>that money isn't enough, so suddenly the best way to <v Speaker 4>make money is just be a publisher. And if you <v Speaker 4>have to make a console to do that as well, <v Speaker 4>then sure, But it's been fascinating to watch Xbox tread <v Speaker 4>this line of we're still making boxes, and we don't <v Speaker 4>want to alienate our audience and we don't want to <v Speaker 4>upset people, but also, like, guys, we just need these <v Speaker 4>video games to make fucking money, and we need them <v Speaker 4>to sell everywhere, because ultimately there aren't as many Xboxes <v Speaker 4>in the wild as though would need to be for <v Speaker 4>these games to make their money back, and how they <v Speaker 4>push those onto different platforms is seeing like very mixed results. <v Speaker 4>Like I don't think I've talked to fucking anyone that <v Speaker 4>has played a game through cloud streaming on their phone. <v Speaker 4>Bush it's there and their thought processes. Eventually people will <v Speaker 4>want to do that, and like I'm skeptical, Bush sure, <v Speaker 4>and their planning first, a lot of Xboxes stuff seems <v Speaker 4>to be the long game. And it's very weird because <v Speaker 4>Xbox has always seemed to be playing the long game <v Speaker 4>and it's never quite worked out how they expected it to, <v Speaker 4>so it kind of just seems like a series of <v Speaker 4>failed bets in a lot of ways. And I like, <v Speaker 4>even when they were like the new Xbox is going <v Speaker 4>to be your TV platform all in one. They were <v Speaker 4>half right about like people wanting an all in one platform. <v Speaker 4>They were long that it's just going to be the <v Speaker 4>TV that's the all in one platform. <v Speaker 1>Yep. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, And I think that is where like this current <v Speaker 2>iteration of Xbox begins to just feel like, Okay, they've <v Speaker 2>they've just accepted that a lot of those long. <v Speaker 1>Like, I don't know if they if they believe Cloud <v Speaker 1>is going to be much of a thing anymore. They haven't. <v Speaker 2>They don't, they don't invest much into it. They have <v Speaker 2>not made that service much better recently, and they maybe <v Speaker 2>long term and they're still like, yeah, that could be <v Speaker 2>a thing, but they're looking at like the way people <v Speaker 2>have behaved on mobile and like those are the way <v Speaker 2>those residaval games are sold and be like that's it's <v Speaker 2>just a different audience and they're not gonna want these games, <v Speaker 2>and so we will go out and buy Candy Crush instead, <v Speaker 2>and we'll get money through them through those games that <v Speaker 2>they actually want. <v Speaker 1>Uh, And then so that gave them, that gives them money. <v Speaker 2>Now, and it's like, okay, well, the hardware is not <v Speaker 2>the answer, or trying to have the walled garden is <v Speaker 2>not the answer. So let's you know, have some service <v Speaker 2>games we have we already have Minecraft. What else can <v Speaker 2>we get like that Call of Duty? So now we're <v Speaker 2>making a lot of money Now it kind of feels <v Speaker 2>like this is just the brunt and the blunt instrument <v Speaker 2>to attack the weaknesses of the platform that they had, <v Speaker 2>and I mean it's working in that. Yeah, this is <v Speaker 2>now a company that makes a lot of money through <v Speaker 2>video games. <v Speaker 4>It is. <v Speaker 1>And really I don't know when I look at it, <v Speaker 1>look at Call of. <v Speaker 2>Duty, look at Minecraft and a lot of the other <v Speaker 2>like you know, even like a c of Thieves, a <v Speaker 2>game that they put out onto multiple platforms, and every <v Speaker 2>time it grows pretty large, a large audience on those platforms. <v Speaker 2>And Microsoft does seem maybe more set up for the <v Speaker 2>future than PlayStation at this moment, even the immediate future. <v Speaker 2>I think the one you know, misstep is. <v Speaker 4>I mean, like Xbox have games coming out in some <v Speaker 4>form like Sony is a big question mark Xbox. They <v Speaker 4>had their developer director and who's like, Okay, you have <v Speaker 4>like a lot of stuff for the first half of <v Speaker 4>twenty twenty five, and it seems like you have stuff <v Speaker 4>for the second half too, Like after all this time <v Speaker 4>and it it feels it's like fucking someone who keeps <v Speaker 4>on fucking up and then like telling you that they're <v Speaker 4>going to be better next time, and you are like <v Speaker 4>so hesitant to believe them. But this time it seems <v Speaker 4>like they're actually meanish of like, no, no, we're going <v Speaker 4>to get like a good slaty games for the entire year. <v Speaker 4>We're going to get like releases every two months. We swear, <v Speaker 4>we swear. <v Speaker 1>I don't know. <v Speaker 3>It's so hard to believe them sometimes. <v Speaker 2>Well, and it's also like your friend that was going <v Speaker 2>to get their their ship together and you're like, okay, great, <v Speaker 2>and then they always failed. And then now now the <v Speaker 2>way that they're getting their shit together is kind of unseemly, <v Speaker 2>like they're they become like they've become like gembros. <v Speaker 1>And they're they're just like, Okay, this is not what <v Speaker 1>we meant. <v Speaker 2>We kind of wanted you to just make really fun <v Speaker 2>games for your thing that we wanted to play, and <v Speaker 2>now you're like. <v Speaker 1>Well, look at how much money we're making from Call <v Speaker 1>of Duty. That's oh, okay, all right, well good for you. <v Speaker 1>I guess I can't hate it, I suppose, but I <v Speaker 1>don't love it either. <v Speaker 2>I think that is continue that continues to be like <v Speaker 2>the one area where labe. I think if PlayStation continues <v Speaker 2>to make the games they're making, they're always going to <v Speaker 2>have stuff that's in that mix for for Game of <v Speaker 2>the year, stuff that game gamer ass gamers really love. <v Speaker 2>And in the meantime, is that going to be a <v Speaker 2>long term solution to the growth of PlayStation's. <v Speaker 1>Looking for I don't know, but I think at this. <v Speaker 2>Point I'm even kind of like more interested in, like <v Speaker 2>what a lot of those Sony studios might end up <v Speaker 2>doing after this latest round of call, the call of <v Speaker 2>all the live service games. And yet, you know, ten <v Speaker 2>years from now, I think we'll look back at these <v Speaker 2>years and be like, Wow, Microsoft really set itself up <v Speaker 2>for the future and has a much better grasp on <v Speaker 2>where things are headed. Not that that will end up <v Speaker 2>with us getting a lot of cool games that I <v Speaker 2>am into in any way, all Right, got a lot <v Speaker 2>more to talk about. Let's take a quick break when <v Speaker 2>we come back. The latest on the new MLB and <v Speaker 2>Bloodline rules, and. <v Speaker 1>I'm in a wrestling game right after this, alright, so <v Speaker 1>let's get back into it. <v Speaker 2>Let's see here, MLB the show twenty five is coming <v Speaker 2>in March, but this time it won't be on game <v Speaker 2>Pass or last gen consoles. <v Speaker 1>This is from Tom Ivan at VGC. <v Speaker 2>Sony has unveiled MLB The Show twenty five ahead of <v Speaker 2>the game's release on March eighteenth, twenty twenty five. The <v Speaker 2>game will be released for PS five, Xbox Series X <v Speaker 2>and S, and Nintendo Switch, with early access available from <v Speaker 2>March of fourteenth for players who purchase the digital Deluxe <v Speaker 2>edition for one hundred dollars. Uh lex see what Who? <v Speaker 1>What's your favorite baseball team? Busy with you? Guys? <v Speaker 4>The one the one in Yakuza five that the guy <v Speaker 4>played for before he got kicked out. <v Speaker 3>It's a whole crime set. That's right, you should play yakuz. <v Speaker 1>That is actually the right answer. Congratulations, you got you <v Speaker 1>got it correct? What a way? Yeah? Uh, this is. <v Speaker 2>The MLB The Show twenty two, twenty three, and twenty <v Speaker 2>four all came to game Pass, and now they're not <v Speaker 2>doing game Pass anymore. They're probably like, okay, we have <v Speaker 2>like properly fertilized the ground. Yes, exactly, and now there <v Speaker 2>is an audience that expects this game on Xbox and <v Speaker 2>we'll just sell this new one to them and then <v Speaker 2>maybe you know, it's possible the amount of money that <v Speaker 2>they would ask Xbox to give them now like went <v Speaker 2>up drastically or something like that, So yeah, this makes <v Speaker 2>some sense. Also, you know, cutting off last gym, so <v Speaker 2>that means no PS four version, no Xbox one version, <v Speaker 2>but you still get a Nintendo Switch version, so they're <v Speaker 2>making one that would run on that stuff. But they're <v Speaker 2>like that maybe that audience isn't there anymore, so this <v Speaker 2>is not necessarily just a technical thing. Although not even <v Speaker 2>if you do have as a Nintendo Switch version not <v Speaker 2>having to port and support to other devices, it's still <v Speaker 2>going to save you money. <v Speaker 4>But really, I think I wonder if they're also at <v Speaker 4>the point that like FIFA is out where the Nintendo <v Speaker 4>Switch versions are only like loss to updates. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I wonder that too. <v Speaker 2>I don't think it's as as aggressive as the way <v Speaker 2>it is with the FIFA, where it's just like, yeah, <v Speaker 2>it is the same exact game and they just update <v Speaker 2>their rosters. <v Speaker 1>But it's probably pretty close to that either way. Though. <v Speaker 2>I think, hey, that last gen is finally done. It <v Speaker 2>feels like sports games are finally stopping support for PS four, <v Speaker 2>So if that was something that was like you know, <v Speaker 2>a hang up for people. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, maybe we really are moving on from that. <v Speaker 2>Does that mean that these generations, that the generation that <v Speaker 2>we're in that is, you know, turning five years old, <v Speaker 2>is actually getting started for real. <v Speaker 1>Still doesn't feel that way in a lot of ways. <v Speaker 4>But yeah, there's a there's a great thing in my <v Speaker 4>local toy store, which is like the only place that <v Speaker 4>still sells physical video games in Ireland, where for about <v Speaker 4>eighteen months now they have had a coming soon section <v Speaker 4>and in the coming soon section there's been boxes for <v Speaker 4>Rugby twenty five, which was originally called Rugby twenty four, <v Speaker 4>which is still in early access and continues to be delayed. <v Speaker 4>So when that comes out, I'll talk to everyone about <v Speaker 4>sports games. But last time I played it, it wasn't good. <v Speaker 1>Oh weird. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, man, that comes through all these sports games. NHL <v Speaker 2>has been crap for years. It's it's rough out there. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>we'll see. I bet MLB the show has built up <v Speaker 2>that audience and Xbox will do just fine. I wonder <v Speaker 2>if the switch version will get a significant update for <v Speaker 2>switch To or if they'll just like let this one <v Speaker 2>ride and then make a new one for switch To <v Speaker 2>the following year. I'd be curious to see all that, <v Speaker 2>but yeah, shout out to MLB. The show actually still <v Speaker 2>continues to be one of the better sports games if <v Speaker 2>you can stomach baseball, which I get all right. Bloodbine <v Speaker 2>Rules and inter gender wrestling headline new match types for <v Speaker 2>WW two K twenty five. This is from Jake Valentine <v Speaker 2>at Duel Shockers. The latest entry in w W two <v Speaker 2>K franchise is paying respect to the Bloodline, with Roman <v Speaker 2>Reigns set to grace the game's cover. Two K and <v Speaker 2>Visual Concepts are ready to announce the new match types <v Speaker 2>players can expect in w W two K twenty five. <v Speaker 2>Bloodline Rules is coming to ww two K twenty five <v Speaker 2>based on the popular WWE match type most famously seen <v Speaker 2>at WrestleMania is that forty Yeah, That'll be forty main <v Speaker 2>event between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. It is known <v Speaker 2>for featuring several run ins interrupting the match. Visual Concepts <v Speaker 2>wanted to pay respects to its unique rules in quirks, <v Speaker 2>I mean, it's let's you know this, It's just a <v Speaker 2>no holds barred, no rules at all, anything goes kind <v Speaker 2>of street fight, right, will the hot goth lady be <v Speaker 2>in it so that this is actually important for the <v Speaker 2>other one. So the inner gender wrestling match means that <v Speaker 2>the hot goth lady can beat the hell out of <v Speaker 2>Dominic Mysterio, which is what we all want. This is <v Speaker 2>this is the thing that we've all been waiting for. <v Speaker 2>So yes, we have, We've ascended, and we've reached the now. <v Speaker 2>WWE games in the past have definitely had inter gender <v Speaker 2>wrestling where you know, you could have people, you know, <v Speaker 2>hit a lady with a chair in the background and <v Speaker 2>no one ever said anything. <v Speaker 1>And then they haven't done that for years. <v Speaker 3>So now that's twenty twenty five and politics have changed. <v Speaker 2>Today you get hit a woman again in a video game. Ah, <v Speaker 2>I mean yeah, really, we just want Raya Ripley to <v Speaker 2>hit Dominic Mysterio. <v Speaker 1>So there it is. <v Speaker 4>I've seen that guy's Mully. She looks like a scumbag god. <v Speaker 1>He's the number one scumbag god. <v Speaker 3>He's she seems like he's really good at being a scumbag. <v Speaker 1>He's so good at being a scumbag. <v Speaker 2>It's the best uh in the Like he's found ways <v Speaker 2>to like turn up his scumbag thiss. He's the one <v Speaker 2>heel that had a heel turn while still being a heel. <v Speaker 2>It's an incredible thing. <v Speaker 1>He's an artist, he is. <v Speaker 4>He is the most Australian looking American I have ever <v Speaker 4>seen in my life. <v Speaker 3>Like he looks like he drives a USh. <v Speaker 1>Yes, I know exactly what you what you mean? <v Speaker 3>And she plays like Ozzie rules football. <v Speaker 2>Like he's incredible and it's like no offense but yes, <v Speaker 2>offense to everybody that was mentioned there, Australian's Americans and <v Speaker 2>especially Dominic mysterio. Yeah, the guy guys actually knows what <v Speaker 2>he's doing and he's very good at it. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's just keep going here. <v Speaker 2>Balder's Gate three is getting local co op for Xbox <v Speaker 2>or Xbox series s very soon. This is from Jonas Mackie, <v Speaker 2>a game reactor. Larry and Studios has officially moved on <v Speaker 2>from Balder's Gate three, but they can't quite let go, <v Speaker 2>and late last year it was revealed that they have <v Speaker 2>patch eight in the works. Now they've sent it out <v Speaker 2>to select partner of participants and told us more about <v Speaker 2>its in in a blood post complete with a big surprise. <v Speaker 2>The studio rights wanting to play multiplayer a little closer <v Speaker 2>to home. Patch eight will also bring split screen to <v Speaker 2>Xbox Series S consoles. This has been said to be <v Speaker 2>one of the major problems Larry and had with Balderskate <v Speaker 2>III for Xbox Series S, which caused the game to <v Speaker 2>be delayed by several months. For Xbox Well, the feature <v Speaker 2>is only coming now, better late than never, as they say, <v Speaker 2>so God, I think it's just interesting that this is <v Speaker 2>something like one once they got the approval from Microsoft <v Speaker 2>to not have to put this into Xbox Series S. <v Speaker 1>If they wanted to release it for Xbox Series X <v Speaker 1>with this feature. <v Speaker 2>I kind of figured it'd be like, well, yeah, I mean, <v Speaker 2>how many people are really gonna end up using that anyhow, <v Speaker 2>so that, yeah, go ahead and just release an Xbox <v Speaker 2>Series S. Let people play that game the way they're <v Speaker 2>mostly gonna play. If they really want this, they can <v Speaker 2>get a different device and play it there, and they'll <v Speaker 2>never add this in later, even if they figure out <v Speaker 2>because why do that work for something so minischool, But hey, no, <v Speaker 2>they're doing it, and they're kind of like, Okay, now <v Speaker 2>we have the future complete version on all these devices <v Speaker 2>where it's available, And I think that's pretty impressive that <v Speaker 2>they actually were able to pull this off and actually <v Speaker 2>saw it through. <v Speaker 4>It's been really fun seeing Larry and be like, this <v Speaker 4>is our last patch, like four or five times at <v Speaker 4>this point. Those are good people over there. I have <v Speaker 4>bumped into a few of the people from Larry and <v Speaker 4>Dublin a few times, and they all seem very cool <v Speaker 4>that that's mainly like a narrative team over there out <v Speaker 4>of that office. But yeah, this is impressive that they <v Speaker 4>managed to get this working. I guess some of this <v Speaker 4>is stuff that does come with a console getting on <v Speaker 4>in ages, people find out how to optimize it them <v Speaker 4>more and you do things that you didn't think you <v Speaker 4>could do. But it's rare that people actually go back <v Speaker 4>and implement those learnings, especially for like a game that <v Speaker 4>I can't imagine has its biggest player based on Xbox <v Speaker 4>and certainly wouldn't have its biggest x Or player based <v Speaker 4>on series S because that seems like a weird way <v Speaker 4>to play that game. Like, as someone who played most <v Speaker 4>of that game on Steam Deck docked to a TV, <v Speaker 4>it's not great playing it at lows like it doesn't <v Speaker 4>it looks pretty smeary on lower end hardware. <v Speaker 1>Yep. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, so yeah, I'm people playing out in chat maybe <v Speaker 2>they did this because they were getting this ready for <v Speaker 2>switch to and so they were already doing the work <v Speaker 2>and that just made it easier to get ready for <v Speaker 2>Xbox Series S. But still, it's like, that's impressive that <v Speaker 2>they edited in there. I think you're right, though, not <v Speaker 2>the ideal way to play a game like this that <v Speaker 2>is so detailed, you know, and you know it actually <v Speaker 2>runs probably does run at a decent resolution on Xbox <v Speaker 2>Series S. <v Speaker 1>This was like a CPU. <v Speaker 2>Thing, so I may maybe they would be able to <v Speaker 2>get over it, or maybe a RAM thing. <v Speaker 1>I'm not sure. It was probably a RAM thing actually, <v Speaker 1>now that I think about it, So yeah, hey, very cool. <v Speaker 1>Do you think this really is the last patch? <v Speaker 3>I don't know. <v Speaker 4>The people at that studio fucking love working on that game, <v Speaker 4>like they've made that part of the culture is that <v Speaker 4>they enjoy working on balds Gate three. But also I'm <v Speaker 4>guessing that they are pretty keen to have a solely <v Speaker 4>wholly owned project that they can work on that isn't <v Speaker 4>partly owned by Wizard of the Coast or Wizards of <v Speaker 4>the Coast, so that they can Supportvash easier for longer. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're probably right. All right, let's see real quick. <v Speaker 1>This guy announced that yes. <v Speaker 2>Warrior Where or Warrio sixty four on Blue Sky shared this. <v Speaker 2>Starting in January twenty twenty six, PS four games will <v Speaker 2>no longer be a key benefit and will only be <v Speaker 2>occasionally offered for PlayStation Plus monthly games and and game catalog. <v Speaker 2>We may still provide titles that could be playable on <v Speaker 2>both PS four and PS five consoles after this date. <v Speaker 2>So basically they're just like dropping the Hey, you're guaranteed <v Speaker 2>to get two PS four games as part of this deal. <v Speaker 2>Of those parts, that'd be the PS Plus Essentials subscription <v Speaker 2>tier I think where this month you get paid a <v Speaker 2>three and high on Life and pac Man World repack. <v Speaker 2>Going forward, the stars, all the stars are here. Going forward, <v Speaker 2>they may have PS four games offered in there, but <v Speaker 2>they may not as. <v Speaker 1>Well, and that will be I mean when you a year. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, when you compare this to previous generations, that's a <v Speaker 4>fucking ridiculous run because I only started getting PS Plus <v Speaker 4>when I bought a PS four because you needed to <v Speaker 4>pay for the online for the first time, and so <v Speaker 4>I have that back end of PS three games also <v Speaker 4>on my account, and like that didn't last very long. <v Speaker 4>It lasted like I think maybe twelve months, maybe twelve <v Speaker 4>or thirteen months. <v Speaker 1>Yep. <v Speaker 4>I think one of the final games on there was <v Speaker 4>like Yakuza five to one month and then what was <v Speaker 4>it Melgia Solid four for the final month and those <v Speaker 4>were the last like big games that they added to ish, <v Speaker 4>So like those weren't that Lace era PS three. So yeah, <v Speaker 4>it's it's interesting that it's lasted almost five years, six years. <v Speaker 4>By time this comes to an end, that's when they're like, <v Speaker 4>we're no longer supporting it, which is wild. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I think trying to remember there's xboxes equivalent like games <v Speaker 2>with Gold, Like god, is that even still exists? <v Speaker 1>No? <v Speaker 4>No, got rid of that, okay, yeah right, so there's <v Speaker 4>no way to like buy or get games that you <v Speaker 4>own through a subscription service on Xbox anymore. And they <v Speaker 4>still do have Xbox Live Gold, but it's just to <v Speaker 4>play online, I think. <v Speaker 1>Right. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's like when they did they rename it to <v Speaker 2>that one's like the Xbox Game Pass Basic or something <v Speaker 2>like that. <v Speaker 1>I can't, I can't keep straight. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's it's a fucking mess. There's forty years of <v Speaker 4>game Pass and Gold was like folded into them. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Man, they still use that court term. Yeah, and I <v Speaker 2>think you like even before that, they had begun not <v Speaker 2>supporting some the older consoles much sooner than that, which <v Speaker 2>made sense. They were kind of like I remember some <v Speaker 2>of those months, they'd like, here are the games with <v Speaker 2>gold for this month. They'd be like, woo, this is grim. <v Speaker 2>This is not a great selection. And it was that <v Speaker 2>way for many months in a row. So when they <v Speaker 2>cut that off, it was like, Okay, yeah, no one's <v Speaker 2>really complaining. <v Speaker 1>I'm glad. <v Speaker 4>It is like, it's so fucking wild to think of <v Speaker 4>developers still supporting the Xbox One console. Yeah, that's like <v Speaker 4>when you think about what that machine is and what's <v Speaker 4>inside it, and like what it must take to get <v Speaker 4>things running on it in a mountain, like it's like <v Speaker 4>fucking making web apps for fucking Windows seven or something like, <v Speaker 4>it's wild. <v Speaker 2>It's uh and it's really why the like John Carson <v Speaker 2>and Chat points out, like what a strange transitional non <v Speaker 2>generation this has been. Really Yeah, has felt that way <v Speaker 2>for a number of reasons. But of course the lumbering <v Speaker 2>corpse of the Xbox One VCR edition is definitely a <v Speaker 2>big part of that. Just like every once in a while, <v Speaker 2>game would be like, hey, we support this so and <v Speaker 2>it's like weird, weird, weird. <v Speaker 4>Well, I'm sharing this in chat right now. I booke <v Speaker 4>the link because it's blue Sky and the other nice. <v Speaker 4>Last night, because this is the life I lead. I <v Speaker 4>was looking at different versions of Space Harrier, like all <v Speaker 4>the different versions that they made for it, and I <v Speaker 4>found the most gnarly fucked up version I've ever seen <v Speaker 4>of a video game. They made a version of Space <v Speaker 4>Harrier for the Sharp MZ, and holy shit, it is <v Speaker 4>one of the worst looking things I've ever seen in <v Speaker 4>my life. <v Speaker 2>I want to see if I could see. I don't know, <v Speaker 2>Nicky broke the link too. If I just copy this <v Speaker 2>link and paste, it will. <v Speaker 3>Yeah did you copy it? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? Okay, Oh that is messed up. That is okay. <v Speaker 1>Oh good, that's that's amazing. <v Speaker 4>Oh it's incredible, Like it's this is what I think <v Speaker 4>of whenever people talk about like, oh, video games were <v Speaker 4>better back in my day, and it's like, no, dude, <v Speaker 4>Like you were going home and you had a home <v Speaker 4>computer and you were being charged like sixty to seventy <v Speaker 4>to eighty box first, and there was no way for <v Speaker 4>you to know that this is what the game looked <v Speaker 4>like when you plugged it in, and then you plugged <v Speaker 4>it in and you're, well, I guess I'm fucking playing <v Speaker 4>this now. <v Speaker 1>I don't know. I think this might be kind of better. <v Speaker 1>I'm looking at it. <v Speaker 2>I'm feeling things. It's like, oh, that's that's hot shit <v Speaker 2>right there. I love I love how. <v Speaker 1>Messed up this is? All right? Well, okay, I'm gonna <v Speaker 1>try to play that version of Space here here. That's <v Speaker 1>it's nuts that that, like these kinds of versions of <v Speaker 1>those games existed. <v Speaker 3>I love his little leg animations. <v Speaker 1>Yes, just block. <v Speaker 2>Uh huh, absolutely, okay, I think yes, let's let's hit this. <v Speaker 2>Destiny two is getting Star Wars gear and latest crossover <v Speaker 2>collaborations from Eddie McCoo at game Spot. Destiny is getting <v Speaker 2>crossover content with one of the biggest sci fi franchises, <v Speaker 2>as Bungee has announced a partnership with Lucasfilm to bring <v Speaker 2>Star Wars content to Destiny Too, launching February. <v Speaker 1>Fourth with the with the Destiny to Heresy update. <v Speaker 2>Star Wars content includes new armor ornaments, accessories, emotes, and <v Speaker 2>finishers that are inspired by Star. <v Speaker 1>Wars quote quote unquote. <v Speaker 2>More specifically, the armor ornament include one per Guardian class, <v Speaker 2>and they are inspired by soldiers of the Galactic Empire. <v Speaker 2>You know, you can get a glimpse of the new <v Speaker 2>armor where it's you know, they're all variations on like Stormtroopers. <v Speaker 4>It's weird that they're all Stormtroopers. I mean, it's weird <v Speaker 4>that it's like, hey, do you want to dress up <v Speaker 4>as the Space Nazis. Jeff Bakla's gonna love this update. <v Speaker 3>He's gonna get way into clamorous too. But everyone else <v Speaker 3>is like, this is a bit weird. <v Speaker 2>I mean, you know, it's a necessity, right when they're like, <v Speaker 2>they're trying to make Destiny makes sense with these collaborations, <v Speaker 2>and it's like, well, we can't just put fucking Han <v Speaker 2>Solo in there, right, we gotta make something that kind <v Speaker 2>of looks like it makes sense in Destiny, and that <v Speaker 2>leads you to Stormtroopers, the Red Imperial Guards, and then <v Speaker 2>I think the Death Troopers or shock Troopers or something <v Speaker 2>like that. <v Speaker 4>And it's admirable how much they've tried to keep the <v Speaker 4>spiritual Destiny alive while doing these crossovers. Yeah, but also <v Speaker 4>they're still doing the crossovers, so inherently people are like, well, <v Speaker 4>it's just another one of these games that has been <v Speaker 4>taken by like the entropy of crossover culture and how <v Speaker 4>that's the only way to generate money for a live <v Speaker 4>service game in the long run. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's And I gotta say it didn't work in <v Speaker 2>terms of like trying to like maintain the dignity of <v Speaker 2>Destiny because when I glanced at this headline and I <v Speaker 2>like in my feedley and I saw the image of <v Speaker 2>the Stormtrooper and the Death Trooper and the Imperial Guard, <v Speaker 2>I'm like, Okay, more Star Wars stuff in Fortnite. I <v Speaker 2>just assumed it was Fortnite. I just eat like, so <v Speaker 2>it's like, yeah, sure, I guess this looks like it <v Speaker 2>can make sense in Destiny. But I looked at it <v Speaker 2>and thought that's Fortnite. <v Speaker 4>I honestly think the thing that made it even worse <v Speaker 4>for my reaction to it was I looked at it <v Speaker 4>and I went, man, I missed Destiny one. Yeah, And <v Speaker 4>I was like I was nostalgic for the heady days <v Speaker 4>of Destiny one, and like this season is also bringing <v Speaker 4>Aux back, who was a big character in Destiny one, <v Speaker 4>and so like it feels like they are kind of <v Speaker 4>also at that point too. I really hope Mamaton is good. <v Speaker 4>There's some leadly cool people doing some leadly cool work <v Speaker 4>on that, but I just don't know if there is <v Speaker 4>space for it in the markish and that sucks. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, all right, I wanted to talk about this one <v Speaker 2>real quick. This happened earlier this week, but it had <v Speaker 2>a big effect on in Vidia, so biggest markets loss <v Speaker 2>in history. In Vidia stock sheds nearly six hundred billion <v Speaker 2>as deep Seek shakes Ai Darling is from Derek Saul <v Speaker 2>at Forbes. Yeah, everyone right in the streets. It's a <v Speaker 2>good time. We're taking it all down. In Vidia sa <v Speaker 2>dubious Wall Street record Monday as the stock at the <v Speaker 2>forefront of the US led artificial intelligence revolution. Got a <v Speaker 2>scare from deep Seek, the Chinese AI company which developed <v Speaker 2>a chat GPT rival at a fraction of the reported <v Speaker 2>cost of its American peers that they have some key <v Speaker 2>facts in this story that say shares of Nvidia plunged <v Speaker 2>seventeen percent by clothes, suffering its worst daily percentage loss <v Speaker 2>since March twenty twenty, when stocks briefly crashed at the start. <v Speaker 1>Of the COVID nineteen pandem. <v Speaker 2>In Vidia lost five hundred and eighty nine billion in <v Speaker 2>market capitalization Monday, which is by far the single greatest <v Speaker 2>one day value wipeout of any company in history, more <v Speaker 2>than doubling the two hundred and seventy nine billion market <v Speaker 2>cap lost by none other than in Video on September third, <v Speaker 2>twenty twenty four. Met US two hundred fifty one billion <v Speaker 2>dollars loss February third in twenty twenty two is the <v Speaker 2>third biggest daily loss. The slide knocked in Video from <v Speaker 2>its position is the world's most valuable company, sending its <v Speaker 2>valuation from three point five trillion to two point nine trillion. <v Speaker 1>How will they be able to live with themselves with <v Speaker 1>only being worth two point nine trillion dollars less than <v Speaker 1>Apple's and Microsoft's. Probably just go. <v Speaker 3>Home, you know. <v Speaker 4>I don't get up in the morning for two hundred <v Speaker 4>and nine trillion dollars. Just fuck it. <v Speaker 2>To put it in perspective, six hundred billion dollars like <v Speaker 2>that that they lost in value is more than the <v Speaker 2>worth of all publicly traded companies except for thirteen. They're <v Speaker 2>only thirteen companies worth more than that, So they've lost. <v Speaker 1>That's so much they lost. <v Speaker 2>I think that this is fastating in a lot of ways, <v Speaker 2>because boy, I think it's not a coincidence that China <v Speaker 2>held onto deep Seek until Donald Trump was president. This <v Speaker 2>definitely feels like, Hey, you're gonna start your your h <v Speaker 2>your trade war, and you're gonna put on a lot <v Speaker 2>of tariffs, and you're coming for China. We have ways <v Speaker 2>of attacking you as well. You know, your entire economy <v Speaker 2>propped up by the AI revolution, right uh. And and <v Speaker 2>you are trying to lock us out because you're not <v Speaker 2>going to sell us chips. You know, Biden signed a <v Speaker 2>thing like we can't. We're not going to sell the <v Speaker 2>best AI chips to China. <v Speaker 1>It's illegal to do that. <v Speaker 2>And then on top of that, like clearly the strategy was, <v Speaker 2>let's build AI in such a way that it does <v Speaker 2>really do everything and becomes so expensive to compete with <v Speaker 2>that we control it one and it becomes a tool <v Speaker 2>of the United States and it's financial partners, and no <v Speaker 2>one else can really get in on that party unless <v Speaker 2>they're invited by these companies that are in the United States. <v Speaker 1>And uh. <v Speaker 4>It also it really feels like it come to God <v Speaker 4>moment for the AI market because it's everyone like, oh, <v Speaker 4>they made this for way cheaper and like it's about <v Speaker 4>as good, but also it still sucks, you know, it's <v Speaker 4>still isn't doing It still isn't doing things that we <v Speaker 4>promised it would do or that would actually be useful. <v Speaker 2>And it really just because I think it's uh, the <v Speaker 2>reality is AI. Even as even when you do talk <v Speaker 2>about the best AI that they spent all these hundreds <v Speaker 2>and hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars on that <v Speaker 2>also wasn't very good. <v Speaker 1>And so an open source solution released by China. <v Speaker 2>And let's not get ourselves, this is not China's real <v Speaker 2>thing that they're working on for AI. They one hundred <v Speaker 2>percent have the more expensive version that does do everything <v Speaker 2>that they're working on in secret. This is a targeted <v Speaker 2>attack to affect the economy of the United States. <v Speaker 1>Uh. <v Speaker 2>And it's like the fact that that is cape that <v Speaker 2>is possible does show how shaky this all was and <v Speaker 2>how it was a house of cards and that the <v Speaker 2>the the the AI had not it was not really <v Speaker 2>close to getting to the point where they thought it <v Speaker 2>would be worth all that money. So that's what we heard, <v Speaker 2>you know, open AI say a bunch of times, Oh okay. <v Speaker 1>Well we're almost there. We're almost there. <v Speaker 2>We just need a few more hundreds of billions of dollars. <v Speaker 2>We need another round of investment to do another round <v Speaker 2>of massive training. And it's like, oh, okay, wolf subtle <v Speaker 2>gillsdor what happened to all that other money for making <v Speaker 2>all that thing that could just make a movie when <v Speaker 2>you just wrote a sentence? <v Speaker 1>What happened to that? Why won't you share that with us? <v Speaker 1>So I thought you said it was ready to go. <v Speaker 1>It's because it sucks, and so. <v Speaker 3>China sucks. <v Speaker 4>And also I wouldn't be shocked to hear that maybe <v Speaker 4>not all that money made it to the project. <v Speaker 1>Oh sure, yeah, you know, of course not. Yes, it's <v Speaker 1>gonna be. There's gonna be coruption the entire way. <v Speaker 2>Sure, it's just if this is this was our big <v Speaker 2>bet from ensuring the soundness of the global economy. Uh <v Speaker 2>oh oh, this is a really bad sign. And if <v Speaker 2>this is only the beginning, the opening shot of this <v Speaker 2>economic cold war between China and the United States that <v Speaker 2>states it's going to happen over the next four years, <v Speaker 2>We're all gonna get caught in the crossfire. <v Speaker 4>And it's going to be a realate of people who <v Speaker 4>are like, let's invest in gold. You know, like, let's <v Speaker 4>the gold Standeds coming back. <v Speaker 2>Baby, Well, I'll take some AI gold, I guess all right, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>a couple more stories in here. Dinal Crisis one and <v Speaker 2>Dinal Crisis two have been re released right now on <v Speaker 2>PC DRM Free as part of gog's ongoing efforts to <v Speaker 2>preserve games of the past. <v Speaker 1>This is pretty cool. <v Speaker 2>It comes from Alexander Cope at Windows Central. Not content <v Speaker 2>with just re releasing the original Resident Evil trilogy on PC, <v Speaker 2>GOG has decided to take things further by announcing that <v Speaker 2>it has re released CAPCOMs Classic Dino Crisis and Dino <v Speaker 2>Crisis two right now for PC. Improvements for each game, <v Speaker 2>as stated on gog's official website, include full compatibility with <v Speaker 2>Windows ten and eleven, all localizations of the game, original <v Speaker 2>Arranged and original Arrange in operation wipeout modes are included, <v Speaker 2>improved direct ex game rendering, new rendering options, windowed mode, <v Speaker 2>vertical synchronization control, blah blah blah blah, a bunch of <v Speaker 2>bunch of stuff in there. Basically, they are doing everything <v Speaker 2>to make these games solid for the future. Going forward, <v Speaker 2>they will just kind of work for a very long <v Speaker 2>time on PC. This is a very cool thing that <v Speaker 2>God does. And I'm glad that Dino Crisis got this treatment. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, and the extra cool thing about this is it <v Speaker 4>went hand in hand with Gog announcing that the bringing <v Speaker 4>back hashtag Building the List. <v Speaker 1>Yes, the Gog dream List. <v Speaker 4>Adam boys out there reviving Hashtag Building the List with <v Speaker 4>his new venture. He's not actually doing that, but yeah, <v Speaker 4>the dream List sounds like an actual good and interesting <v Speaker 4>thing that I like the idea of. <v Speaker 1>Yes, I see. <v Speaker 2>In addition, God has announced it's launching the God Dream List, <v Speaker 2>a place where gamers can cast their votes on what <v Speaker 2>classic old school games GOG should revive next, and their <v Speaker 2>crusade to save old video. <v Speaker 1>Games from becoming lost media. Let's see here, there's a <v Speaker 1>Sean note here. What that means? <v Speaker 2>I think this is all really neat and you might <v Speaker 2>get more juice out of this squeeze than ask you <v Speaker 2>the nice Irish lady about American baseball and pro wrestling. <v Speaker 1>I don't know who that notice for. Yeah, I'm very <v Speaker 1>very excited about this. What game would you. <v Speaker 2>Want to see them do next? You know, not that <v Speaker 2>an old game to you is apparently not Space Harrier? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I know they did that Stranglehold one that was <v Speaker 4>really cool. So maybe some more of those weird like <v Speaker 4>three sixty games that are in limbo and arm Pound <v Speaker 4>Backwards compatible. I'd be way into those games that kind <v Speaker 4>of like what I'm saying is fifty cent Blood on <v Speaker 4>the Sand, Bring the Back. <v Speaker 1>Finish gets a ramp and gets a crystal skull. It's <v Speaker 1>pretty dope. <v Speaker 4>Did I tell you about There was a time I <v Speaker 4>was playing that game. I was playing through it in <v Speaker 4>twenty twenty three, and you know, as you do, and <v Speaker 4>as I was playing it, I was like, I should <v Speaker 4>just turn on the match making just in case, and <v Speaker 4>someone joined and started like shirping me through. And then <v Speaker 4>a few days later I started playing this again and <v Speaker 4>I opened up the matchmaking and the same guy I joined, and. <v Speaker 3>I was like, who is this person playing it? <v Speaker 4>And then I like tweeted about it, and the guy <v Speaker 4>fucking was like applied to the tweet, being like, that's me. <v Speaker 3>I just play this game, and like followed me. <v Speaker 4>I was like, okay, I now have a fifty cent <v Speaker 4>Blood in the Sand stan following me. <v Speaker 2>That rules it was probably Tony yo, I bet it <v Speaker 2>was almost certain. I don't know how to say Tony <v Speaker 2>Y I think that's it. I think it's Yale, but okay, yeah, sure, <v Speaker 2>all right, yeah, or maybe it was Curtis himself. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I was waiting for it. <v Speaker 1>I knew it too. <v Speaker 2>I just I always read it that way in my head. <v Speaker 2>I'm like, that's no out. I know how anyone's ever <v Speaker 2>said it, but that's just how I've always read it. <v Speaker 1>All Right, let's see here. I think let's move on <v Speaker 1>to the poll question from yesterday. There we go. <v Speaker 2>Have you played a local multiplayer game with another person? <v Speaker 2>Pers for as for today? This is from Monday. Do <v Speaker 2>you still buy physical games? Fifty five percent say yes, <v Speaker 2>forty five percent say no. I am mostly in the <v Speaker 2>no category. I suppose I have bought a physical. <v Speaker 1>Game in the last year or so, but I really <v Speaker 1>wouldn't count myself as a yes on this. <v Speaker 4>How about you, I have a lot of physical I <v Speaker 4>have a lot of PS four and PS five and <v Speaker 4>three sixty physical games, which kind of came from over <v Speaker 4>the course of the pandemic. Was right around the time that, like, <v Speaker 4>I started to have my own disposable income because I <v Speaker 4>like disability, allounce some pandemic money and then I had <v Speaker 4>nothing to spend it on. So it's like, oh, just <v Speaker 4>buy some games that are cheap now, that are down <v Speaker 4>to like twenty zero. So now I've wound up with <v Speaker 4>this collection of loads of games I'm never going to play, <v Speaker 4>including the h Poppies of al in Wonder World I <v Speaker 4>still have sitting on a coffee table downstairs. <v Speaker 1>Of course. Yeah, that's it, though only only eight. <v Speaker 4>I gave away four of them. Okay, generously. Probably some <v Speaker 4>people didn't appreciate thatosh. <v Speaker 2>I mean, generous is one word for it. Yeah, my, <v Speaker 2>uh they're now they're still talking about g Unit in chat. <v Speaker 2>My memory of gene Unit is being in uh boy <v Speaker 2>Scouts and the scout master's son giving a ten minute <v Speaker 2>speech about g Unit and me just really wanting to leave. <v Speaker 2>That was I was never much of a g Unit fellow. <v Speaker 3>Myself said, they're dragging you for your You said gene unit. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm just like matching the two words together. I'm <v Speaker 2>saying g unit, but g unit it just comes out <v Speaker 2>that way. Yeah, gene Unit two is very good. <v Speaker 4>But yeah, I think it's really hard to make a <v Speaker 4>to be like whiter than an Irish person. <v Speaker 1>You know, it's not you gotta just be from Ohio. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, you know, you're like. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's pretty easy. Act. <v Speaker 2>All right, let's see here, got a new pole question. <v Speaker 2>We'll get tough here in a second. But first, LEXI <v Speaker 2>want I to tell people where they can find you <v Speaker 2>on the internet, what you have going on and all <v Speaker 2>that good stuff. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, you can find me on Blue Sky app basically <v Speaker 4>Lexi basically ending in an eye and Lexi ending in <v Speaker 4>an eye. I also run start Menu, a website for <v Speaker 4>young people trying to break into the games industry. We <v Speaker 4>are in the process of working on bringing back a podcast. <v Speaker 4>You might see some fun guests on Lash over the <v Speaker 4>course of February if they have the free time. We <v Speaker 4>also have a new copy editor, which is fucking awesome <v Speaker 4>because it allows me to do some like actual stuff <v Speaker 4>and plan some things for us. We have a patron <v Speaker 4>which is going super well. And you can also find <v Speaker 4>me writing freelance stuff for Shaq News. <v Speaker 3>I have a piece for gamer. <v Speaker 4>Guides or I have a review of like a Dragon <v Speaker 4>for gamer Guides that will go up next month. But yeah, <v Speaker 4>I'm trying to keep busy, trying to be around the place. <v Speaker 4>I'm also streaming on Twitch dot tv slash basically Lexi. <v Speaker 4>I might stream after this and continue playing Black Ops. <v Speaker 4>I might play Black Ops. I downloaded Black Op six <v Speaker 4>on the Xbox, didn't download the campaign. <v Speaker 1>Oh fine, so that can happen. It turns out with <v Speaker 1>those games. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, and Sean's going to be mad at me, being like, oh, <v Speaker 4>it's so easy, Sean. Have you seen what a fucking <v Speaker 4>mess those menus are. It's a fucking nightmare. I was <v Speaker 4>a big I was a shockingly big fan of the <v Speaker 4>Black Ops Cold War campaign. People told me it wasn't great, <v Speaker 4>but at the beginning of that game, it lets you <v Speaker 4>choose your character's background, and so obviously I made my <v Speaker 4>character a non binary KGB agent ex KGB agent. And <v Speaker 4>then the big plot twist at the end of that <v Speaker 4>game is that you've actually been playing a guy who <v Speaker 4>got MK altered by the CIA into thinking that he's <v Speaker 4>the character that you created at the beginning of the game. <v Speaker 3>Huh So literally, the US. <v Speaker 4>Government trans my gender, which is fucking awesome. That game <v Speaker 4>is awesome. <v Speaker 2>That sounds like that sounds a good good time, but <v Speaker 2>it also sounds very Black Ops. <v Speaker 1>Boy. That sounds like that's something they would do in <v Speaker 1>that game. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's great. <v Speaker 1>Anything else you got going on, uh, not much. <v Speaker 4>You can catch me on Blue Sky talking about rugby <v Speaker 4>every now and again and talking about games mainly excellent. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's get to the new poll question. Let's <v Speaker 1>see here. <v Speaker 2>Yes, have you played a local multiplayer game with another <v Speaker 2>person on the PS five or Xbox series x Slash <v Speaker 2>s Yes, no, those are your options. You can vote now. <v Speaker 2>Go to YouTube dot com slash at Giant Bomb. There's <v Speaker 2>a community tab there, hitt that you'll find all the <v Speaker 2>poll questions. Go ahead and vote. We'll get the results <v Speaker 2>talk about them on Game mess Mornings here on Giant <v Speaker 2>Bomb tomorrow. Speaking of Giant Bomb later today, we will <v Speaker 2>have Blake Club returning. Dan still is in the midst <v Speaker 2>of Drake of the ninety nine Dragons, I always want <v Speaker 2>to say, and the ninety nine Dragons, but he is <v Speaker 2>among them. <v Speaker 3>Yes, please did you see what I what I sent? <v Speaker 4>I sent it on to Nicky, and I sent it <v Speaker 4>on to I think Sean and Mike, the voice actor <v Speaker 4>for that for Drake, I found a podcast like he did, <v Speaker 4>and boy it's interesting. <v Speaker 2>Oh fine, did you would you say that he just <v Speaker 2>was hoping that Drake wouldn't be annoying him? <v Speaker 1>Woke? <v Speaker 3>No, No, but I'm pretty sure. <v Speaker 4>If if he was to do a podcast now, he <v Speaker 4>would say that, okay, it was let me find my <v Speaker 4>messages to Nicky. I'll read out the name of this podcast. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, okay, sure, let's start. Let's start. That's a podcast. <v Speaker 4>Yeah yeah, guest Monty read voice talent on Tim Rostrow's <v Speaker 4>Creative Christians. <v Speaker 1>Hell yeah, let's go. Okay, all right, yeah that's all <v Speaker 1>I mean. <v Speaker 2>God, if there's one thing Drake of the ninety nine <v Speaker 2>Dragon sas going for it, it's it's very pious voice acting. <v Speaker 1>I'll say that much. Yeah, all right. <v Speaker 2>We will get to Blake Club later today tomorrow, we'll <v Speaker 2>have some fun stuff voicemail, dump truck. <v Speaker 1>We'll fit in like either some virtual fighter sniper. We <v Speaker 1>we don't know. <v Speaker 2>We'll see how we're feeling. And then on a Friday <v Speaker 2>we'll have more games. Morning's BCR. <v Speaker 1>We'll do our best music at twenty twenty four or <v Speaker 1>favorite music at twenty twenty four, however we frame. <v Speaker 2>That, and then we'll have a upf where I think <v Speaker 2>we might actually play that ORCS Must Die game? <v Speaker 1>Why not? I like playing It's fun co op. <v Speaker 4>It is like, okay, yeah, underneath the terrible progression there <v Speaker 4>is still a fun game in there, which is why <v Speaker 4>it's frustrating. It's just a very difficult game to review <v Speaker 4>and then feel like good about because you're looking at like, oh, <v Speaker 4>this would take so long to actually get to the endgame, right, <v Speaker 4>oh yeah. <v Speaker 1>And like like recommending that to individuals, it's like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>but I bet we'll have a good time. <v Speaker 2>All right, I think that's gonna do it. We already <v Speaker 2>did the other poll question. We asked where we could <v Speaker 2>find you on the internet. So then at this point <v Speaker 2>I think I just say, Lex Luddie, thank you so <v Speaker 2>much for hanging out with me and talking about video games. <v Speaker 1>I really appreciate it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I'm gonna go back to my book. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, that's a good book. Doom Guy. <v Speaker 2>Oh okay, all right, everybody, thanks for listening, Thank you <v Speaker 2>for watching. You're the best audience in gaming. Until next time, <v Speaker 2>have a good one, take care of yourself, and goodbye.
