<v Speaker 1>Welcome on into the Non Tender podcast. Let's do it. <v Speaker 1>Let's do one of these. <v Speaker 2>You do these more often and hold on. He's back. <v Speaker 2>That's me. <v Speaker 1>Oh my god, I'm so excited to welcome Nathaniel back. <v Speaker 2>It did an episode with me. We got we'll talk <v Speaker 2>about that, but we did an episode together one. So yeah, <v Speaker 2>last last Valentine's Day. Valentine. <v Speaker 3>Now they scare for Fool's Day. So next year, let's <v Speaker 3>do St. Patrick's Day. <v Speaker 1>You got it, buddy? Whoa? Now I'm doing it now, <v Speaker 1>I wait, I'm gonna I'm gonna fix it. That was <v Speaker 1>me that time. That was me. <v Speaker 3>Usually, well it's worse because they heard that, or it's <v Speaker 3>normally yours gets noisegated out. So that was a bad one. <v Speaker 3>Sorry about that. How is everyone? How are you boys <v Speaker 3>doing good? <v Speaker 1>He's got a headache. I'm shaken off, but I'll be fine. <v Speaker 1>I didn't know about that. I think you had. <v Speaker 3>I think we all went and watched the Mario Galaxy movie. Yes, <v Speaker 3>we watched it at midnight, uh, two days ago. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>and it was a packed cinema. It was a whole <v Speaker 3>like fifty people there. It was like it was weirdly empty. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it was. <v Speaker 3>I thought it was going to be packed, but considering <v Speaker 3>I think it was the day, like the day of <v Speaker 3>the week. <v Speaker 1>Well it was the midnight launch. I just assumed, Yeah, <v Speaker 1>it's kind of a weird transition. <v Speaker 3>And we were all away in the back, so we <v Speaker 3>had like a view of how empty it was. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>I mean it was kind of I guess it was <v Speaker 3>nice it was empty, but I would have liked if <v Speaker 3>it was full and people got into it, you know, <v Speaker 3>like the big reveal is like I was expecting some <v Speaker 3>more like. <v Speaker 1>Screaming, but it was more like a whoa. <v Speaker 2>I actually don't like when people scream and clap, and <v Speaker 2>well there was no chicken jockey moment. <v Speaker 3>On a midnight launch, though, I don't mind if people <v Speaker 3>get into it, like you, it's the vibe. Yeah, if <v Speaker 3>you're going like two weeks after and the whole cinema <v Speaker 3>screaming yeah in the afternoon or something. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that makes sense. <v Speaker 3>Uh yeah, Bandy and I we did an episode before, <v Speaker 3>and last time we did it, we were in my basement. <v Speaker 3>You were I think the what No, you and Celia <v Speaker 3>both came to my basement for episodes, I believe, I <v Speaker 3>think so. Yeah, and when you did it. I had <v Speaker 3>no help. It was all on my own and it <v Speaker 3>was you and me, and we tackled it together, and <v Speaker 3>I thought we had a great We made a work. <v Speaker 3>It was ended up going. We were talking about I <v Speaker 3>think Mario Kart World. We were predicting Mario cott because <v Speaker 3>it had just been revealed. Yes, it was just really <v Speaker 3>actually I called it like the open World. I called <v Speaker 3>the costumes. I think it was like a couple other things. <v Speaker 3>It aged pretty well. I think I might have said <v Speaker 3>that I thought it was going to be four K <v Speaker 3>sixty or something like that in there. Maybe Yeah, that <v Speaker 3>could have been another conversation I had with Tim Getty's. <v Speaker 3>But whatever it was, we we that was pretty good. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>I think we did. We did a good job like predicting. <v Speaker 3>And I think in fact, actually I remember I took <v Speaker 3>a clip from that when I did my video talking <v Speaker 3>about all the stuff I got right, I took a <v Speaker 3>clip from that where I say the word in a <v Speaker 3>row Mario cut World. <v Speaker 1>Oh there you go. <v Speaker 3>But it's because I was like, I bet the Mario <v Speaker 3>cut World is something something something. <v Speaker 1>But it's like I did, actually I said. <v Speaker 3>It technically said all three of those words close enough, <v Speaker 3>but no we were. We were thinking it was going <v Speaker 3>to be X. Well, I I don't know about you. <v Speaker 3>I still think X would have been cool. It would <v Speaker 3>have been like, I'm okay with world? What makes sense? <v Speaker 3>Because of the free rom we just knew it wasn't <v Speaker 3>going to be nine because Home Too had messed up <v Speaker 3>the whole home tour. <v Speaker 1>Just there was you're thinking. <v Speaker 4>Think of. <v Speaker 3>So many stupid things I do when and I say <v Speaker 3>things wrong all the time that people are like, what <v Speaker 3>did you mean home to? <v Speaker 2>I always say home too, Well, I know what you meant. <v Speaker 2>It's all good. I got you. Oh Valentimes Day, guys, <v Speaker 2>it's not Valuentiine's Day anymore. Come on, you're gonna make <v Speaker 2>night jealous youss. <v Speaker 1>You're married. I got I got Yoshi. We're good. We're good. <v Speaker 1>I have Yoshi by. <v Speaker 3>The way, Yeah, yeah, can we show off to the <v Speaker 3>dollar poporn bucket? I go one to Actually, yeah, so <v Speaker 3>we have the fifty dollars Yoshi popcorn bucket, which. <v Speaker 1>His sealed too. Yeah, because I was thinking like do <v Speaker 1>I need it? <v Speaker 2>Oh, it's good because well, I don't know, it's a collectible, <v Speaker 2>the Luma, I think because he got the Yoshi, well, <v Speaker 2>I'm not married. Yeah, it's not like I'm getting I'm <v Speaker 2>gonna I'm gonna get the Loloma. <v Speaker 1>Don't worry, I'm one of my wife. <v Speaker 3>This is how it opens. I was like a little <v Speaker 3>flap and you stuff all the popcorn in there. This <v Speaker 3>would be a nightmare to clean. So I didn't put anything. <v Speaker 3>It goes the way up to his tail. <v Speaker 2>You know. It's it's interesting because like it's such a bucket, <v Speaker 2>but like the actually stuff. <v Speaker 3>Oh sorry, guys, it looks really wrong. It looks like <v Speaker 3>the the d in a bus situation, you know. <v Speaker 1>What, except this sp person. No, I'm not gonna get <v Speaker 1>rid of mine. <v Speaker 3>But I didn't get the Luma because they were fifty <v Speaker 3>bucks each. Yeah, and once you get the drink and <v Speaker 3>I got like a little gummy candy. I was at <v Speaker 3>like seventy dollars. <v Speaker 1>It's ridiculous. <v Speaker 3>And if I had got the Lumur, it would have <v Speaker 3>added another fifty And that's. <v Speaker 2>Not including the ticket that you paid for the movie <v Speaker 2>as well. I paid for everybody well exactly very much. <v Speaker 2>And one of the guys didn't even show up. Red <v Speaker 2>Red Boots is separately, so I think he's on he did. <v Speaker 2>I thought I was going to that was man, I'm sorry, Red, Well. <v Speaker 1>It doesn't matter. <v Speaker 3>He bailed on us. You know what, though, I know <v Speaker 3>why it cost so much because we weren't a list members. <v Speaker 3>That's exactly what it was. That's I have an issue <v Speaker 3>with AMC because we were I got there and we <v Speaker 3>got to the front of our line, but there was <v Speaker 3>an a list line and it was full, and they <v Speaker 3>were every time they would call someone, it was like, <v Speaker 3>how many six seven people about? And you and I <v Speaker 3>were six seven. I can't believe I did that six seven. <v Speaker 3>Of course a twenty year old caught it all right, <v Speaker 3>all right, sure? And then where's you and I are <v Speaker 3>standing there? And then you ended up going like I'm <v Speaker 3>just gonna go yeah, like I'm waiting because I was <v Speaker 3>gonna go up. And then the woman looked at me <v Speaker 3>and she's like, oh, you want me to yes? And <v Speaker 3>when we both went over, like, oh my god, I <v Speaker 3>don't know what this elitist A list crafty. They get <v Speaker 3>to see four movies a week. That's I guess it's <v Speaker 3>worth it for some people. That's what he kept saying <v Speaker 3>during the trailers. I want to see that. I want <v Speaker 3>to see that. <v Speaker 2>I understand now they even maybe four movies a week. <v Speaker 2>Maybe it's even feasible to see four movies a week. <v Speaker 3>I don't see multiple If you keep saying you can <v Speaker 3>see multiple movies four times, maybe two times. <v Speaker 2>Be like that one guy who kept seeing End Game <v Speaker 2>every single day for Captain Marvel. Somebody did that for <v Speaker 2>as long as the End Game. I think it was. <v Speaker 2>That's insanity. Remember, you need help if you're doing that. <v Speaker 2>It was over the content. That's content, Alright, I guess <v Speaker 2>all right, But here's the thing. We did go and <v Speaker 2>we did go watch the movie. Do you, guys, do <v Speaker 2>you want to jump into it? Or do you do <v Speaker 2>we care about what we've been playing? Or is this <v Speaker 2>just a Mario movie day? <v Speaker 1>I don't know. <v Speaker 2>I don't like really quick, okay with you guys, Okay, <v Speaker 2>all right, okay, real quick, because last week was a <v Speaker 2>fun week for games. Bandy knows well what happened the <v Speaker 2>Super Mario Wonder d l C. Yeah, I finally thought <v Speaker 2>somebody that agrees with me on it. <v Speaker 1>I love it. <v Speaker 3>I think it's my favorite Witch student me too. Really Yeah, <v Speaker 3>what's so good about it? Well, it's got a lot <v Speaker 3>of single player content, tons of challenges that actually get <v Speaker 3>difficult by the time he gets to the end. The <v Speaker 3>I know people are kind of crapping on all the <v Speaker 3>mini games, but they are genuinely really fun. <v Speaker 1>Like we tried it yesterday. <v Speaker 3>We did a bunch of the multiplayer and yeah, it <v Speaker 3>was just really really solid. There's a lot of like <v Speaker 3>really interesting ideas. There's like this uh like weird like <v Speaker 3>bubble gun game. There was the Fanto tag. There's a <v Speaker 3>bunch of like different heing games. <v Speaker 1>Sharing at him getting thirty. <v Speaker 2>Well, to be fair, you guys played it in the <v Speaker 2>perfect scenario, which is couch color. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, that's me. That is like this week was <v Speaker 1>really fun. <v Speaker 2>I mean I played the single player aspect on my <v Speaker 2>own last week when it came out, but I was <v Speaker 2>specifically waiting for Bandy to come. <v Speaker 3>And you made a video for your channel for that, <v Speaker 3>Yeah sick. What did you get out of it? A <v Speaker 3>fun time? Yeah, fun times. <v Speaker 1>I did a. <v Speaker 3>Few videos on a bunch of channels. Yeah, so he <v Speaker 3>already milked it, so he came. I bet I've got <v Speaker 3>three videos out, so I could have gone a lot <v Speaker 3>harder if I really wanted to. <v Speaker 1>That's good. <v Speaker 3>I'm glad you liked it. I did, actually really like it. <v Speaker 3>I thought it was fun. Yeah, I'm a big two <v Speaker 3>D Mario just Mary guy in general. So that's cool. <v Speaker 3>I was gonna like it no matter what. So is <v Speaker 3>that what you've been playing or do you have anything <v Speaker 3>else for No? I've also been playing Plants Versus Zombies <v Speaker 3>this month, the first one, yes, the original. <v Speaker 2>No. <v Speaker 3>A friend of mine's been wanting me to get into <v Speaker 3>it for like forever. I'm like, you don't final, I'll <v Speaker 3>try it. Got really really addicted to it. So I've <v Speaker 3>been playing a lot and wanting you to get into <v Speaker 3>Plants Versus Zombies. Yes, the iPhone four No, No, since <v Speaker 3>like last year because the remake came out, and he's like, hey, <v Speaker 3>have you played Plants Versus Zombies. I'm like, no, I've <v Speaker 3>never tried it. He's like, you gotta try it. I'm like, okay, fine, <v Speaker 3>it is good. <v Speaker 1>It's just my friend's been trying to get me in <v Speaker 1>a doodle jump for a while. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, what do you think of it right now? Of <v Speaker 2>you say flatty bird, yeah, similar, like. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I know, flat that's just that's kind of right, <v Speaker 3>compared to like Plants Versus just trying to mention. <v Speaker 2>Ancient game mobile. Oh just like the era. Yeah, I <v Speaker 2>like plants versus zombies more. Well I'm not asking what <v Speaker 2>you like more, but I'm asking what do you think <v Speaker 2>of plants for the zombies because you're just not playing it. <v Speaker 3>Oh, I'm like addicted to it. Oh yeah, I'm really <v Speaker 3>I had that phase in twenty thirteen, was addicted to <v Speaker 3>It's just starting to go away. I was into it <v Speaker 3>for like a couple of weeks. Yeah, it's like a <v Speaker 3>phase that you kind of go back to it. It <v Speaker 3>is a good it's a good game. <v Speaker 2>I mean there's a reason why, especially on mobile, because <v Speaker 2>you can just play it anywhere you are. <v Speaker 1>It's on switch, it on switch. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, but I was like exclusively mobile guy, because it's <v Speaker 2>like pull it out of my pocket, getting it out. <v Speaker 3>Plants and zombies. Hell yeah, I like it. Yeah, that's <v Speaker 3>pretty much it. Okay, what about you guys? Yeah, I <v Speaker 3>mean I already said what about you? <v Speaker 2>Now? <v Speaker 3>Why did too? Obviously the timing is right. Play Galaxy <v Speaker 3>to a bit more first time playing. It's a lot <v Speaker 3>of fun. Yeah, Galaxy, how far did you get? I'm <v Speaker 3>on the fourth World right now, so I just finished <v Speaker 3>Ways to Go Okay, all right, Yeah, I'll do better <v Speaker 3>I'll do better. <v Speaker 1>Guys, I gets the world sh and then you got <v Speaker 1>to do the sixth green Stone. You gotta do the perfect, <v Speaker 1>the perfect. <v Speaker 3>Yeah great, okay, Well besides that, I played all the <v Speaker 3>Tomadaci Life demo. <v Speaker 1>I had fun with that. <v Speaker 3>Did you make anyone like like, do any like weird stuff? <v Speaker 3>Did you make him talk about joking it? No? <v Speaker 1>That was that was a lot. <v Speaker 3>I did see a lot of people post that. No, <v Speaker 3>I did make one. So this is a weird context. <v Speaker 3>So I have a mannequin at my house. Okay, okay, <v Speaker 3>no for other questions, yeah, I don't want to and <v Speaker 3>even better, it's just the top half. So I made <v Speaker 3>I never heard a tinder. Probably that's where I found him, <v Speaker 3>but no, actually I found him behind a dumpster. <v Speaker 1>This is years ago. That's a whole side story. I'll <v Speaker 1>tell that story. So it was like I can figure <v Speaker 1>mannequin and Philly from even the better part. My mom <v Speaker 1>found it a long story. <v Speaker 3>This is a long you see the more questions, I <v Speaker 3>just playing wool frame. But so, yeah, twenty twenty happened. <v Speaker 3>But anyway, I made a me of him and we <v Speaker 3>have I have a friend who just hates him because <v Speaker 3>he hates his very existence for some reason I can't imagine. Yeah, yeah, right, <v Speaker 3>And so I had me and the mannequin. His name <v Speaker 3>is manny Kin by the way, someone put that in chat, <v Speaker 3>so I'm guessing it's one of your boys. <v Speaker 1>Yep. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, So we had we basically talked about our friend <v Speaker 3>and he was like, oh, you know, I'm like, I <v Speaker 3>really liked that guy. And then he's like, you know what, <v Speaker 3>I like him too, and that's how it became friends. <v Speaker 3>I saent to him, He's like, you should delete this <v Speaker 3>whole game because he absolutely despises the fact that this <v Speaker 3>mannequin likes him. So we had a little bit of <v Speaker 3>lore about night then that I don't know if we needed, <v Speaker 3>but of all that, but yeah, i'd like Tombachi Life. <v Speaker 3>I'm gonna pick up the game. It's just wacky and <v Speaker 3>it's really like this this physic like a perfect Nintendo. <v Speaker 1>So it's gonna it's gonna beat Coopia. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, if you say what you like, what's gonna sell better? <v Speaker 3>I actually I think Tomadat Your Life has a shot <v Speaker 3>at beating it because it's a switch game too, it's <v Speaker 3>not just Switch to Exclusive. <v Speaker 2>You know. <v Speaker 1>I don't know if it will, but I think it's <v Speaker 1>a change. <v Speaker 3>I'll concede that actually, because I thought about that in <v Speaker 3>the week after our conversation. It is on it's a <v Speaker 3>switch one, so the install base is there. Yeah, it <v Speaker 3>will automatically get a lot more people than the three <v Speaker 3>DS one, like six million or sixn million, yeah or <v Speaker 3>something like that. <v Speaker 2>You guys didn't hear that. He's just he's got you. <v Speaker 2>We got to give him his own microphone. Well yeah, <v Speaker 2>a little, a little tiny one. You have the fourth <v Speaker 2>mic so he can't have it today. Darn Okay, what <v Speaker 2>were we saying? We're talking about one? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I do think you yeah, this I forgot it. <v Speaker 3>That's on switch one. That's that's a crazy and stool base. <v Speaker 3>And they're like they haven't had a game in a <v Speaker 3>Minute's true, So it's I think it could hit like <v Speaker 3>ten to fifteen million. <v Speaker 1>I could see it potentially over time. I could see <v Speaker 1>it with the other time. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>But but Kopi is still climbing too, so I had an <v Speaker 3>early lead. I don't know if we have like I <v Speaker 3>don't think they've said yet. I just know it's over <v Speaker 3>two millions. I know what the two million in four days. <v Speaker 3>I do remember that. Yeah, I don't think I saw <v Speaker 3>anything updated about it. If that's if that's it, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>that's all I think. <v Speaker 1>That's. <v Speaker 3>Oh, I've actually had been playing a lot of war Frame, <v Speaker 3>which is because I'm working on a sponsor spot for it. <v Speaker 3>But I'm actually really waking it. You believe me if <v Speaker 3>you want. I'm not getting paid right now. But it's <v Speaker 3>like a it's games about like thirteen years. It had <v Speaker 3>to switch one version as well, and this switch two <v Speaker 3>version looks and plays it's like ten ADP sixty fps, <v Speaker 3>and there is so much content and I don't understand <v Speaker 3>what's happening at any given time. It's so many different things. <v Speaker 3>I don't think I've ever even heard of that game. <v Speaker 3>I think I've heard of it. I don't really know <v Speaker 3>what it is. It's like Destiny if it was third person, <v Speaker 3>and just like Wacky. There's like a there's like a <v Speaker 3>solo player mode that became like Elden Ring, yeah, which <v Speaker 3>was weird. There's a there's a little the MMO multiplayer <v Speaker 3>mode where I just got a ho a bike and <v Speaker 3>I was doing Tony Hawk tricks and it actually came <v Speaker 3>up with a trick meter. Like it's just it's I <v Speaker 3>don't know, it's wacky, but anyway, check it out. Let's <v Speaker 3>do it. <v Speaker 1>All right, cards on the tape. <v Speaker 3>Will Maria movie talk? I want to get into it. <v Speaker 3>We're not this is spoiler territory. Yeah, I've seen the <v Speaker 3>movie and you don't want it spoiled. We're gonna talk <v Speaker 3>about everything at all. Everything. We're gonna expose it all. <v Speaker 3>And if you are gonna leave, come back later. Yes, <v Speaker 3>please want if you if you will go one, will <v Speaker 3>watch the movie first. Just come back and watch the <v Speaker 3>episode later. <v Speaker 1>I appreciate it. I'd appreciate it so much. <v Speaker 3>Oh wait, there was a couple of things I didn't <v Speaker 3>talk about, Bandy, I talked about you. Oh wake, I <v Speaker 3>saw this clip. Oh this is a classic. Yeah, this <v Speaker 3>is the Mega Man reaction. Wait can I sure sure <v Speaker 3>this is? This is actually the reason my channel blew up. <v Speaker 3>This is where it all started. And then I like <v Speaker 3>start crying. How long ago was this? <v Speaker 1>This was twenty thirteen or twenty four? You look like <v Speaker 1>a baby. I was like like a like. <v Speaker 3>Scuffer up. You look like you're about to get mad <v Speaker 3>at me for asking about Donkey Kong. Don't ask me <v Speaker 3>about I'm not gonna I'm walking out of the room. <v Speaker 3>All right, you gotta way hold. I'm sorry. I had <v Speaker 3>that at the top of the show and I forgot Yeah, <v Speaker 3>I forgot to mention that. <v Speaker 1>I guess the only one I want to video. <v Speaker 3>I was like nineteen Okay, So just the reason I <v Speaker 3>freaked out because that year I was just getting into <v Speaker 3>really like super into like any S games. <v Speaker 1>I loved like all the meg Mans, all the. <v Speaker 3>Classic ones, And as that trailer was playing like a <v Speaker 3>few seconds before, in my head, I'm like, what if <v Speaker 3>it's Mega Man? <v Speaker 1>And then I heard the little sound effect. I'm like, <v Speaker 1>oh my gosh, can you do it? Can recreate? I <v Speaker 1>don't think so? Do you want to hear it again? <v Speaker 1>I could try. <v Speaker 3>I got to bring it back up. I want to <v Speaker 3>see if you can recreate it. I'll try. Okay, you <v Speaker 3>can bring it back up. Okay, I have to like <v Speaker 3>match the pitch. <v Speaker 1>This is going out of run. Okay, start start ruin <v Speaker 1>your voice. <v Speaker 3>Oh my god, my voice is to d if I <v Speaker 3>can hit it. <v Speaker 1>Well, that was coming out of pure emotion. It was yeah, <v Speaker 1>oh my. <v Speaker 3>God, that was pretty good. I love There was a <v Speaker 3>whole segment about this. Yeah, I'm not gonna temp that <v Speaker 3>my voice back to the movie. Sorry about that. We <v Speaker 3>went to the movie. We have a behind the scenes <v Speaker 3>we posted up on Patreon. There's more to the behind <v Speaker 3>the scenes of us, like getting into our seats. <v Speaker 1>You and I were essentially cuddling. <v Speaker 2>So if you want to see all of that, you <v Speaker 2>can go to the behind the scenes on Patreon. <v Speaker 3>But this was our immediate thoughts after the movie. And <v Speaker 3>I want to play this first, and then I want <v Speaker 3>to see if anything changed, and I want to go <v Speaker 3>around the room. Okay, all right, here was our immediate thoughts, <v Speaker 3>fresh out the fresh out the movie and fresh out <v Speaker 3>the bathroom. <v Speaker 1>Yes, two in the morning. Can think of the movie? <v Speaker 2>Bro? <v Speaker 1>That was good. I like to Yeah, a lot of <v Speaker 1>good references. I like the no spoil it now actually <v Speaker 1>you know, actually you know what, you can't spoil that. <v Speaker 1>What was your favorite part? Actually don't know? You see <v Speaker 1>pretty excit did when game and watchers? That was cool? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 1>So what did you think? Would do you really want <v Speaker 1>to know? Right now? Honestly? Just yes, yeah, your name <v Speaker 1>for the BTS. I feel like a dick. I did <v Speaker 1>not like it. You guys know what I said? Was <v Speaker 1>this all common? <v Speaker 3>There was like someone was like this movie like feels <v Speaker 3>like it's TikTok coded. <v Speaker 1>It was made for fans. <v Speaker 4>There were so many references, there were so many close <v Speaker 4>cinematic moments that visually it was incredible. <v Speaker 1>It was a bad movie. The first one is way better. <v Speaker 1>Which the first one. I'm gonna elaborate on this mode. <v Speaker 1>Don't be mad at me yet. I don't think. <v Speaker 3>I think a lot of people are agreeing with you. <v Speaker 3>I've been hearing people don't like this movie. It's controversial. <v Speaker 1>There are people in this room that loved it, So <v Speaker 1>trust me, we're gonna hear all sides. Yeah, so what <v Speaker 1>did you think of the big review? Peach and Mausoleine. <v Speaker 3>Okay, so I'm gonna one more time I say spoilers. <v Speaker 3>You're about to hit the spoiler super spoilers, so don't <v Speaker 3>listen to this. <v Speaker 1>I didn't even tell Kim this. <v Speaker 3>She asked me how the movie was, and I'm like, <v Speaker 3>I told her a lot, but I'm like, I didn't <v Speaker 3>tell her this part. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I guess we're talking about that. <v Speaker 1>That was the only thing I really liked. That was <v Speaker 1>the only like story point. <v Speaker 2>I thought it was really cool they gave her a backstory. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, because I mean like, I've never really. <v Speaker 3>Thought about it, but I don't think I actually say <v Speaker 3>exactly so that was cool. <v Speaker 1>I did like that there were parts that I liked, <v Speaker 1>but it wasn't a It wasn't a good movie. What <v Speaker 1>do you think it was fun? I'm very casual movie. <v Speaker 1>It's really much of a story. I was waiting to <v Speaker 1>end for a lot of it. I didn't want to <v Speaker 1>say anything at first, and then I just didn't shut up. <v Speaker 2>Long very I think the visuals kept me wanting to <v Speaker 2>see more, you know. <v Speaker 1>For an hour and a half. I was like the <v Speaker 1>Fox thing was so Randall. He just like showed up. <v Speaker 1>It was just did you say random or Randall random? Random? <v Speaker 3>His middle names also Randall random, some new slang no <v Speaker 3>no no. <v Speaker 1>I feel like what was the demon Watch? <v Speaker 3>The game will Watch was also totally random. <v Speaker 1>So it's the same thing with the first movie. It <v Speaker 1>was a bunch of stuff that happened. None of it <v Speaker 1>really made sense, Like. <v Speaker 4>Characters would meet and then immediately be off on an <v Speaker 4>adventure without any dialogue or like, yeah, like I rewatched <v Speaker 4>the first one today and when Peach and Mario meet, <v Speaker 4>there's about five seconds. <v Speaker 1>Between them meetings. When they're running the obstacle course, like <v Speaker 1>it's just like maybe about the same. It's like dead <v Speaker 1>Star Fox and we're off. Yeah, yeah, there's no storytelling <v Speaker 1>with this. So you agree with the critics. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I want to stress I did not read anything <v Speaker 3>that the critics had said, and up to this point, <v Speaker 3>all I knew was it had like a forty three percent, <v Speaker 3>and that's all I know. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, so I didn't read it. <v Speaker 3>In fact, when we were getting our popcorn night, you <v Speaker 3>were like, you were mentioning some stuff about what the <v Speaker 3>critics were saying. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, and I was like, don't tell me. Well, we'll <v Speaker 1>talk about later. <v Speaker 3>But it regards Rosalina for most of it, I think <v Speaker 3>I was saying, but I was looking on my phone. <v Speaker 1>It looked like it got about forty four percent. Yeah, horrible. Yeah. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>If you're a fan of Mario and you just want <v Speaker 2>to see, like I remember that from that. <v Speaker 1>Game, Yeah, this is the that was me. That's basically yeah. <v Speaker 1>For these movies references honestly, and the music. They finally <v Speaker 1>got the music. The music. I did notice that there <v Speaker 1>wasn't a bunch of dumb songs. It was like there <v Speaker 1>was at the start. <v Speaker 3>I didn't we so on a bonus episode. We went <v Speaker 3>really heavy into the music in the first movie because <v Speaker 3>we were We did a predictions and in the Patreon <v Speaker 3>and for YouTube members, and one of our biggest things was, <v Speaker 3>please don't have so much dumb music doesn't fit the time. <v Speaker 1>They really didn't. They didn't, and then we watched. <v Speaker 3>So the biggest, the biggest, like one that always upset <v Speaker 3>me was, you know in the first movie when they <v Speaker 3>do the Donkey Kong, oh, I know exactly what you're <v Speaker 3>talking and they played me, have you heard the original score? <v Speaker 1>Wasn't it what was supposed It was just like a <v Speaker 1>Donkey Kong track? <v Speaker 3>But it was so clearly scored with the movie, which <v Speaker 3>means like you know that they make the movie and <v Speaker 3>then someone comes in and they score it. Yeah, like <v Speaker 3>all the twists and turns of the movie or the <v Speaker 3>rise and falls is like timed with the music. And <v Speaker 3>then they were like, actually, take on me, and it <v Speaker 3>didn't fit at all. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>That was my my favorite thing about the movie here <v Speaker 3>and we'll talk about it more, but the whole movie <v Speaker 3>was scored with Mario music and it was so much better. <v Speaker 3>It was great, especially in those big orchestral ones where <v Speaker 3>they were just they hide a little. <v Speaker 1>Somewhere and you were like, I heard that. I have <v Speaker 1>a couple of complaints about the music, but we'll we'll <v Speaker 1>get to that. Okay, Okay. For the most part, I <v Speaker 1>loved it. <v Speaker 3>Okay, okay, and are you gonna say okay? <v Speaker 2>There was there was one during Yoshi's walk, but it <v Speaker 2>was actually cool. <v Speaker 1>It wasn't and then the rest was like exactly. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>You were like, I have I haven't. I popped out <v Speaker 1>of the back. <v Speaker 2>Remember that about with Maria music Box did not need <v Speaker 2>to be in that movie. <v Speaker 1>No, he just. <v Speaker 3>Like you went to and obviously when you were in <v Speaker 3>that you were like, I don't like it's funny because <v Speaker 3>Bandy said it. <v Speaker 1>And then he comes out the wait, guys just kind <v Speaker 1>of there. They were just there. It was all kind <v Speaker 1>of just I mean, I assuming he's probably gonna get <v Speaker 1>new game. It's gonna saved it for the reveal, the <v Speaker 1>Fox thing. What do you think they like tweeted it out, <v Speaker 1>people were talking about regardless. People were I love nights fit. <v Speaker 3>That's pretty fire. Yeah, you out with I think more <v Speaker 3>than anyone. I don't know if I saw anyone else <v Speaker 3>there that was Mari I saw. I don't think I <v Speaker 3>saw anyone wear the hat. I did see like people <v Speaker 3>like Mario's shirts or like a blanket or something, So <v Speaker 3>you're prepared to. <v Speaker 2>I was like, we'll see what we have to say <v Speaker 2>on the on the podcast. <v Speaker 1>We should probably wait till we had micro true all right, <v Speaker 1>that was that? All right? <v Speaker 3>Oh my god, So I don't want to be negative <v Speaker 3>this whole time, and I don't want that was very <v Speaker 3>much you guys, It was me. <v Speaker 1>It was a raw impression. <v Speaker 3>It was not only raw, but it was also a <v Speaker 3>little bit tired, like we all wanted to go home. <v Speaker 1>We're a little cranky, but we didn't really know regret. <v Speaker 3>And I definitely led the conversation there with my negativity <v Speaker 3>and you guys were kind of like backing me up. <v Speaker 3>So I want to be like, I don't want to <v Speaker 3>be negative of the whole time, because there were definitely <v Speaker 3>good things about the movie, and I know that you <v Speaker 3>really liked it. <v Speaker 1>I really liked it. I really liked Okay, you did <v Speaker 1>really like it as well. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I'll just say before we get in the deep dive, <v Speaker 3>I really liked like moments overall. <v Speaker 1>I like the first one better now that I had <v Speaker 1>time to think about it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I still think the first one was better, and <v Speaker 3>I think it's an actual story so to speak. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>because and again we'll get into it. But like, it's <v Speaker 3>weird when I mean, I know, initially, like as soon <v Speaker 3>as like I ought to say it, like when Rosealina <v Speaker 3>gets captured, that's when I knew, oh, this isn't going <v Speaker 3>to be Galaxy one for one, this is going to <v Speaker 3>be something completely Yeah, for a little bit that it. <v Speaker 1>Took you that moment to realize that the begin of <v Speaker 1>the movie. That was the beginning of the movie. I mean, <v Speaker 1>but like all the trailers, wellser Junior wouldn't. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but I was the movie what I agree with you, Sally, <v Speaker 3>But the movie was called Galaxy, So I guess at <v Speaker 3>some point he might have been wondering how much of Galaxy, <v Speaker 3>how much of this is going to be Galaxy versus <v Speaker 3>how much of this is Mario, which it very much was. <v Speaker 3>If we had a Dow percentage, like what would it <v Speaker 3>even be, like thirty forty percent something like that. <v Speaker 1>It's weird. <v Speaker 3>It's like a different story taking place in like the <v Speaker 3>Galaxy world. Yeah, kind of that makes sense. They kind <v Speaker 3>of used like leaving the planet as an excuse to <v Speaker 3>visit other areas from Mario Law, like the Peaches Showtime place, yeah, right. <v Speaker 2>Which is weird it's not technically on their earth. And <v Speaker 2>then same with like the Cascade Kingdom. I thought that <v Speaker 2>was weird how. <v Speaker 1>They kind of used like we're going into the galaxy <v Speaker 1>in space and all these different planets as an excuse <v Speaker 1>to add places from other games that. <v Speaker 3>Were off world. Yeah, it's it's kind of creating a <v Speaker 3>new cannon in a way. And I mean like they <v Speaker 3>definitely created a new cannon with Peach and Roselino, which <v Speaker 3>we'll talk about. Okay, So I want to let me <v Speaker 3>let me say this because we we're gonna be scattered <v Speaker 3>all over the place, I'm sure, but I want to <v Speaker 3>give like a couple of prerequisite conversations here before we <v Speaker 3>get started. This movie, in my opinion, was fantastic for fans, right, <v Speaker 3>but even more so for fans because it had so <v Speaker 3>many Easter eggs, so many locations, so many things that <v Speaker 3>were like. <v Speaker 1>Ah, I remember that from that thing. Like, as I <v Speaker 1>said in my clip, the story was dog water like. <v Speaker 1>It really was not. It was. I'll get into that more. <v Speaker 3>But to make my point here, it just was so <v Speaker 3>disconnected and like a bunch of random events happening and <v Speaker 3>there wasn't like this great heartfelt story and what the <v Speaker 3>reason why. I just want to say that a lot <v Speaker 3>of people, when I break this down and explain why <v Speaker 3>I didn't like it, I'm gonna say it's a movie <v Speaker 3>for kids. <v Speaker 1>I hate that. <v Speaker 3>I hate that people still lean on that as a <v Speaker 3>crotch to excuse a bad movie and a bad kids movie. <v Speaker 1>And it's so bizarre that people like. <v Speaker 3>It's bizarre to me that people still say that after <v Speaker 3>all this time of amazing kids, there's tons of really <v Speaker 3>great kids movies that have fantastic stories. Yeah, there's really <v Speaker 3>no reason that the Mario movie can't also be that. <v Speaker 3>And I almost wonder if part of it is because <v Speaker 3>Mimoto is so heavily involved, and I think he's famous <v Speaker 3>for the fact that Mimoto doesn't really care about story. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, especially with his video games. <v Speaker 3>And that works for video games because you're like, you're <v Speaker 3>actively playing, you're just jumping around as Mario, it's just <v Speaker 3>doing whatever. <v Speaker 1>It's just for fun, fun. <v Speaker 3>But that philosophy really doesn't work with movies, and not <v Speaker 3>really and I'm pretty sure correct me if I'm wrong, <v Speaker 3>But I think with Pit Mario Sticker Star. Mimoto was <v Speaker 3>also kind of involved with that game to some extent, <v Speaker 3>and where he basically did not want the game to <v Speaker 3>have as much story, which is why Sticker Star ended <v Speaker 3>up as bland as it was. You don't want to <v Speaker 3>have as many like original characters in it because I <v Speaker 3>just use like Koopa's and regular it was. There's no <v Speaker 3>original characters, and that really hurts Sticker Star a lot, <v Speaker 3>because obviously RPGs are more about stories, so seeing that <v Speaker 3>same kind of philosophy carry over to a movie, its <v Speaker 3>more because you're actively playing the game. So if you're <v Speaker 3>actively having fun, it doesn't really matter so much if <v Speaker 3>there isn't a story. <v Speaker 1>If the story is basic. When you're going into watch <v Speaker 1>a movie and you're trying to get invested in something <v Speaker 1>you're seeing, if there's no connection, if there's no gravity <v Speaker 1>and there's no weight, you don't get attached into the <v Speaker 1>experience and your eyes end up glazing over sometimes. And <v Speaker 1>I found myself quite bored in this movie. Like the <v Speaker 1>first twenty thirty minutes were okay because I was trying <v Speaker 1>to like find my place in this world. But the <v Speaker 1>more I realized there was nothing to hold on To, <v Speaker 1>and there was no like thread of like gravity or <v Speaker 1>weight to the story. <v Speaker 3>I fell out of it and then it wasn't until <v Speaker 3>like the back end where it picked up a tiny bit. <v Speaker 3>You got the Rosalina Peach revelation and there was some <v Speaker 3>story and I got back into it again, and then <v Speaker 3>it just random like old ends. But like we were <v Speaker 3>talking about animated movies that have really good stories before <v Speaker 3>we even watched it. We talked about Pushing Boots, which <v Speaker 3>is probably one of my. <v Speaker 1>Favorite Dragon Wow. <v Speaker 3>I mean honestly, if you if you think of your <v Speaker 3>favorite animated movie as a favorite, like cartoon movies like that, <v Speaker 3>the reason why you think of them and why they <v Speaker 3>come to your mind is this a great story, a <v Speaker 3>great emotional impact, like even like back To, like Lion <v Speaker 3>King and Aladdin. Like there's no reason why kids movies <v Speaker 3>can't have, you know, flashy colors, fun pacing, like bright <v Speaker 3>characters where easter eggs and references, and also have a <v Speaker 3>great story. Now I wonder, So I just don't want <v Speaker 3>to when we have this conversation, I just don't want <v Speaker 3>to lean on the crotch of it's a kid's movie, <v Speaker 3>because that's it's just it's just. <v Speaker 1>Way from the from the conversation, because like. <v Speaker 2>Even the Mario games feel like that, Like you never <v Speaker 2>play a Mario game, like especially the three d Ones, <v Speaker 2>like because of the story, like you're not like deeply <v Speaker 2>emotionally invested, you know. <v Speaker 3>Actually for the good Galaxy, Galaxy, out of at least <v Speaker 3>the three mar games that we have, like is the <v Speaker 3>one that has the story book. And that was the <v Speaker 3>weirdest thing about the movie to me, is like, Okay, <v Speaker 3>they're picking Galaxy because first off, it's a really cool idea. <v Speaker 1>They can go to a bunch of places. <v Speaker 3>But second, the storyboard, the storybook exists, which means if <v Speaker 3>they want to, they can really pull from that. In <v Speaker 3>the beginning of the movie, you see all the Lumas <v Speaker 3>get together and she's about to read a story. I'm like, <v Speaker 3>oh my gosh, she's gonna like retell the storybook scene. <v Speaker 3>But then it just like gets completely off course and <v Speaker 3>then it's never brought up again, yes for the rest <v Speaker 3>of the movie. And the other thing too, I want <v Speaker 3>to mention was is how much of that is on <v Speaker 3>Miamoto versus? Is it also illumination? That's kind of what <v Speaker 3>if you think about all the movies we just mentioned <v Speaker 3>or made by DreamWorks Disney. Right, Illumination is super successful <v Speaker 3>because of Despicable Me the Minions. That's like that's their <v Speaker 3>golden ticket. We literally saw a trailer for Minions at <v Speaker 3>that movie. So I feel like Illumination at least their movies, <v Speaker 3>let me see that movie. Yeah, they have a lot <v Speaker 3>of it's it's supposed to be comedy, it's supposed to <v Speaker 3>be families, a lot of like dumb humor. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, like dum iustrated movies, eighty presume and is it <v Speaker 2>Despicable Despicable exactly. <v Speaker 3>There's a lot of movies sing to Life of ped sing. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>They did some of the Doctor Seuss movies as well, <v Speaker 3>so as you can see a lot of like humorous <v Speaker 3>comedic type of things, not really story driven. <v Speaker 1>Some of those movies. <v Speaker 3>I like, like I think you just said the first <v Speaker 3>Despicable Me, like that is a good story because it's like, oh, <v Speaker 3>a villain becomes good because he has he adopts kids, <v Speaker 3>and you know there's a whole thing because of that. <v Speaker 3>But then afterwards it's really just goofy minions. What can <v Speaker 3>they do to really kind of Yeah, I agree that <v Speaker 3>I wouldn't put it on Miamoto. Miamoto definitely wouldn't be <v Speaker 3>pushing for some in depth story like his his involvement. <v Speaker 3>I don't think his side of it definitely wouldn't be <v Speaker 3>oh hey, illumination, what about the story? <v Speaker 1>Like I agree with that he. <v Speaker 3>Probably wasn't really And that's the thing because like at <v Speaker 3>the very beginning of the movie, his name is right <v Speaker 3>there with Chris's. I'm like, okay, so he I don't <v Speaker 3>think he like wrote the script necessarily, but I'm sure <v Speaker 3>he had a lot of control all over what the <v Speaker 3>story was in particular. So the first movie was rated <v Speaker 3>slightly higher. The story of that movie is pretty clear, <v Speaker 3>Like it's not like a super in depth like there <v Speaker 3>was some heartwarming elements. I think between Luigi and Mario <v Speaker 3>that's a couple like you want you to tear jerk, <v Speaker 3>but it doesn't quite get there, right, But it's pretty <v Speaker 3>like basic right, Like Mario he feels like a failure, <v Speaker 3>he can't live up to his dad's like dream for <v Speaker 3>him or whatever. Plumber, yeah, it wants to be a plumber, <v Speaker 3>ends up falling into this Mario universe, ends up being <v Speaker 3>the hero saving the princess. <v Speaker 1>It's it's all pretty straightforward. <v Speaker 3>It's really fast paced to its detriment, doesn't really give <v Speaker 3>time for any of the beats to land, but it's <v Speaker 3>at least it's clear and it's moving along in. <v Speaker 1>A straight line. From there, you would you would hope <v Speaker 1>for the sequel they could build upon that and and <v Speaker 1>kind of flesh out these characters a bit more and <v Speaker 1>create a better, more in depth story. <v Speaker 3>We didn't even have these parents. No, you see, like <v Speaker 3>a lot of the other characters, we never went back <v Speaker 3>to Brooklyn, which we got. We got a glimpse of it, <v Speaker 3>and they did show Donkey Kong in like one seon True, <v Speaker 3>which honestly that was a good thing. There's there's too <v Speaker 3>many characters there is wrong. I love that stuff, but <v Speaker 3>like it was too much, That's what I was gonna say. <v Speaker 3>They definitely added way too many characters, which a lot <v Speaker 3>of people's concern. Yeah, because you know, you're going into <v Speaker 3>a movie with an hour and a half run time <v Speaker 3>and you have what like fifteen characters. So even if <v Speaker 3>they maybe they each get ten minutes, right, that's one <v Speaker 3>hundred and fifty minutes, right, yes, right, yes, which is <v Speaker 3>which is the movie's run time, which actually to your <v Speaker 3>point that I think you were mentioning. Earlier people are <v Speaker 3>pointed out that Rosalina had ten minutes of screen time <v Speaker 3>compared to Fox, who had I think about I didn't <v Speaker 3>even realize that Fox has so much one for about more. <v Speaker 3>He had a lot of screens once he got on <v Speaker 3>the scene, he had and he had quite a bit <v Speaker 3>of lines. Actually was and it was, honestly, like, it's <v Speaker 3>kind of weird that like Rosealina, she's like this all <v Speaker 3>powerful like princess, she's like destroying it was lazy, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>I mean honestly because when I first saw that she <v Speaker 3>could do that in the trailers, like, oh, well, this <v Speaker 3>doesn't make any sense, like what. <v Speaker 2>Is and then people would question why Peach isn't like that? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and then that's why I said that, Yeah, that's <v Speaker 3>why I mentioned how like the second that Roselyna gets captured, <v Speaker 3>that's why I'm like, okay, so this is not going <v Speaker 3>to be a traditional galaxy because in galaxy, Roselyne is <v Speaker 3>essentially helping Mario, you know, of getting the stars until <v Speaker 3>they go to the very end where the center of <v Speaker 3>the end area is worth the common observatory, but then <v Speaker 3>the whole universe resets. <v Speaker 1>I had a feeling they wouldn't do that with this <v Speaker 1>because that's so cool. That would be a crazy thing <v Speaker 1>to do. <v Speaker 3>That's the thing that there's literally a story right there. <v Speaker 3>They could have just done that, and they didn't. They <v Speaker 3>didn't do it. There was just so many Like when <v Speaker 3>I was watching it and I saw a review of <v Speaker 3>this after I swear I'm not stealing it. I was <v Speaker 3>watching it and I was thinking to myself, this movie <v Speaker 3>feels like AI. And and by that I mean like <v Speaker 3>when when you generate something with AI, like it might <v Speaker 3>look good, right, but there's not like a ton of <v Speaker 3>soul to it. <v Speaker 1>It's just a thing that happened. Just exists. It just exists. <v Speaker 3>And I was watching this movie and it was like <v Speaker 3>really pretty and like this thing would happen, and this <v Speaker 3>thing would happen, but there was no reason for it <v Speaker 3>to happen. <v Speaker 1>It just exists, like and I'm not saying it was AI. <v Speaker 3>That's not what I'm saying, but it gave me that <v Speaker 3>feeling like someone typed in a prompt what if they <v Speaker 3>become babies and fight a dinosaur for a minute, That <v Speaker 3>whole scene I see people were saying like that didn't <v Speaker 3>need to exist at all. It was just there to <v Speaker 3>show that didn't need to exist. And then also like <v Speaker 3>the queen scene was also totally ran. That was like <v Speaker 3>what was the point? And also like bows they did <v Speaker 3>a weird thing where like Bowser, they were trying to <v Speaker 3>make it seem like he was maybe good now, and <v Speaker 3>that was like like legitimately they faked out. They were like, <v Speaker 3>he's gonna be evil. No, he's actually good. And then <v Speaker 3>he even did this ultimate sacrifice where he's like I'll <v Speaker 3>stay here and be a slave to the Bee queen <v Speaker 3>so you can go on your adventure and like I <v Speaker 3>don't even have to worry about my son anymore. And <v Speaker 3>then all of a sudden he meets his son and <v Speaker 3>he sees a crowd of minions and he's like, I'm <v Speaker 3>actually really evil, And we saw Bowser like this really <v Speaker 3>passionate HD kiss some Mario. That was a little kind <v Speaker 3>of yeah, like really like what a bit. <v Speaker 2>So it was definitely a series of random events that <v Speaker 2>that that took place on a timeline. <v Speaker 3>It felt like they yes, he said it's good to <v Speaker 3>be alive. If you didn't hear that, it feels like they, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>they had a bunch of set pieces. They want to do, <v Speaker 3>and they plopped him out and then they were like, okay, <v Speaker 3>how can we connect it? Okay, this is how we're <v Speaker 3>going to connect it. And it didn't really. Also, Peach <v Speaker 3>going off on her own made no sense to me. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, why wouldn't she bring Mario? Why didn't she bring <v Speaker 1>Maria Luigi? And I don't know. <v Speaker 3>Do you remember in one of the New Star Wars <v Speaker 3>movies where there's an arc where like I think the <v Speaker 3>cool guy in the jacket goes to a casino or <v Speaker 3>I have seen story. Okay, there's I'm sorry that my <v Speaker 3>reference is going to be so vague, but there was <v Speaker 3>a big controversy that no one liked the movie. <v Speaker 2>And I forget which one. It was one solo, the <v Speaker 2>Han solo one. <v Speaker 3>No, it was one of the three trilogies, the one <v Speaker 3>of the three movies in the new trilogy. Two characters <v Speaker 3>go to this because sino thing and they try and <v Speaker 3>find this guy or whatever, and it turns out that <v Speaker 3>the lady lied to them and they they went on <v Speaker 3>this whole adventure under false pretenses, and essentially it was <v Speaker 3>half the movie and you find out none of it matters. <v Speaker 3>That's how I felt about Peach going off on her own. <v Speaker 3>She went off on her own and had like a <v Speaker 3>weird thing in the casino. It was also a casino, <v Speaker 3>which is funny. Yeah, underground, and then they end up <v Speaker 3>meeting up and she did all that to try and <v Speaker 3>find out where Rosalino was. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they meet up with Mario and Luigi at the <v Speaker 1>same time. <v Speaker 3>Mario Luigia, what are the odds of that happening? <v Speaker 2>They may as well just stay together because they would <v Speaker 2>have got to the same point anyway, So Peach's whole <v Speaker 2>arc didn't matter. <v Speaker 3>It's like, it's weird because it feels like the only <v Speaker 3>reason that they did not go together was so they <v Speaker 3>could do that little montage scene of them like kind <v Speaker 3>of like making Marian like levels or whatever. And yeah, <v Speaker 3>the reason why really cool scene. It wasn't really fun scene, yeah, <v Speaker 3>but it. <v Speaker 2>Was really a point to build up on that Bowser <v Speaker 2>relationship with Mario. How he frees Bowser and Bowser ends <v Speaker 2>up letting him go, and that shows Bowser's change of <v Speaker 2>heart because they want you to think Bowser is like <v Speaker 2>going to be the protagonist of the film, like it's <v Speaker 2>all about evil. <v Speaker 3>But you know another thing too. Before we move on <v Speaker 3>to like the spoilery part. I would say when you <v Speaker 3>look at the two movies, I see it like this <v Speaker 3>the first movie, Super Mario Brothers movie, that is a <v Speaker 3>great story about Mario Luigi and about a princess being <v Speaker 3>captured and Bowser. You know, there's there's a clear linear <v Speaker 3>path for that, but you can they took from so <v Speaker 3>many inspirations from other Mario games and made it a <v Speaker 3>kind of their own telling of that. With Galaxy, like <v Speaker 3>you said, there's already an outline for what you can <v Speaker 3>do and for what they didn't use it, and they didn't. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>you feel like that movie should have been extremely linear <v Speaker 3>compared to how Mario the first one was, because there's <v Speaker 3>so many routes you could have taken for that Galaxy Year. <v Speaker 3>There were also, like I get that they wanted to <v Speaker 3>do with the crazy fun set pieces, but some of <v Speaker 3>them just didn't make sense, Like when they were when <v Speaker 3>they went into reduced his characters, they were riding bikes <v Speaker 3>and they were all cool, and then they they went <v Speaker 3>into that like Mario Odyssey like and they like did <v Speaker 3>like we're like cool bike of people now that had <v Speaker 3>nothing to do with anything, And then they went there <v Speaker 3>to fix a pipe and it just so happened to. <v Speaker 1>Be Yoshi was in there. Yeah, and then they they. <v Speaker 3>Tried to backstory it with guests will never know how <v Speaker 3>you got here. But the reason, the real reason is <v Speaker 3>they wanted to do the desert area and they had <v Speaker 3>to have a reason to go there, so they just <v Speaker 3>put Yoshi there. And then it's like that's the whole movie. <v Speaker 3>It's like, there's no real reason for them to be here, <v Speaker 3>but we wanted to use this cool set piece, so <v Speaker 3>put Yoshi there, and then they'll ride there on bikes. <v Speaker 1>That'll be cool. <v Speaker 3>And then Yoshi befriends of them on what like less <v Speaker 3>than a minute, and then he was scared of them <v Speaker 3>as they were like going in. He was like even <v Speaker 3>freaking them out a little bit and then out of nowhere. Yes, <v Speaker 3>And also like Yoshi didn't really have any like merit <v Speaker 3>to the story at all. <v Speaker 1>He was just there. He was just cute. <v Speaker 3>He was there to be like Yoshi a few times, <v Speaker 3>but considering he was like punlut intended the Easter egg <v Speaker 3>ending of the last movie. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they had he had nothing to do with the movie. <v Speaker 1>They were forced to because they already showed it. He <v Speaker 1>was just honestly I did like. <v Speaker 3>I like the way they used Yoshi though, like because <v Speaker 3>they the way that Yoshi was like using his tongue <v Speaker 3>to get around like you do that in the games too, <v Speaker 3>of course, like eat stuff, make eggs. He did that, <v Speaker 3>but he was even using it just like swing around <v Speaker 3>on like trees and stuff. So I thought that was <v Speaker 3>kind of cool. They were a little bit cool. I <v Speaker 3>didn't know Mario and from the Dinas the t Rex. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>like that was he's like climbing around the trees and stuff. <v Speaker 3>So he's competent enough. And I guess that's a throwback <v Speaker 3>to like Yoshi's Island, you know, with them running with <v Speaker 3>the babies and whatnot. <v Speaker 1>So I mean, it really is. I mean it was. <v Speaker 3>It was like when you said this, there was a <v Speaker 3>lot of cool moments. I think there were a lot <v Speaker 3>of great moments with Yoshi, just none of it really <v Speaker 3>weaved together, like really well yeah, but that's what me <v Speaker 3>and Moda warned us about. <v Speaker 2>He said that it's literally just a bunch of a <v Speaker 2>series of things, and you can't. Straight up when he <v Speaker 2>said that, I knew exactly what kind of movie. It's <v Speaker 2>not a movie about story, it's just talk. The movie <v Speaker 2>it was top coded for sure for kids, They're gonna <v Speaker 2>love it if we were five, six ye oldren. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, And I've. <v Speaker 3>Seen people say that, and like, my god son's gonna <v Speaker 3>go he's watching it right now. I'm pretty sure he's <v Speaker 3>like eight, he's gonna love it. He's gonna go crazy. <v Speaker 3>It's gonna be awesome. That's the odd metric for it, <v Speaker 3>which is what people mean when they're like it's a <v Speaker 3>movie for kids, but like, yeah, it's still I can't <v Speaker 3>it's harder to kind of describe it either way. For <v Speaker 3>that it could still of course kids are gonna like it. <v Speaker 3>It's it's it's like ADHD the movie. Yeah, you know, <v Speaker 3>it's flashy colors the movie. I mean, I still liked it. <v Speaker 3>Obviously It's not a great movie when it comes to <v Speaker 3>the story, but when it comes to just all the <v Speaker 3>fun Maria stuff, all the references, like I'm such a <v Speaker 3>sucker for that kind. <v Speaker 2>Of stuff, it was visually a feast for the Like. <v Speaker 1>I was just like, yeah. <v Speaker 2>This is the prettiest animated movie. Sorry, yeah, sorry, real <v Speaker 2>quick too. <v Speaker 3>We did just want to let you guys know we <v Speaker 3>saw him three D see a regular view. I actually <v Speaker 3>don't want to watch it two D. It was pretty <v Speaker 3>cool in three D and. <v Speaker 1>Nice. What was I saying? I actually really liked it. <v Speaker 2>I mean, other than the fact that it lacked story <v Speaker 2>and emotions, Like I felt like I couldn't connect emotionally <v Speaker 2>to anything going on except the Rosalina Peach part. <v Speaker 1>Just for a like it kind. <v Speaker 2>Of but it didn't fully encapsulate me, you know. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, there was no there was no build up to it. <v Speaker 1>It just happened. <v Speaker 3>But it was Yeah, we could talk about it now. <v Speaker 3>It was the coolest like plot point because it was <v Speaker 3>the only thing that wasn't actual. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. I think that's the thing that shocked me the most. <v Speaker 3>Is that they reveal that Peach and Rosalina or assistance, yes, <v Speaker 3>which is like crazy pretty cool, I think. I mean, <v Speaker 3>growing up with Mario Peach and Rosaline, I always thought <v Speaker 3>they looked the same. <v Speaker 2>I always thought it was weird. It was like a <v Speaker 2>space Peach. Yeah, and it was cool to something else. <v Speaker 3>You know, What's I'm pretty sure that Rosalina has a <v Speaker 3>brother in the games. I don't think they ever mentioned <v Speaker 3>her having a sister. Really, I could be wrong about that. <v Speaker 3>I could have yeah, double check that, yeah, because I <v Speaker 3>don't want to say this, do you know if there's <v Speaker 3>anything that was teasing, because I know they were really <v Speaker 3>like the physical book, like the Bedtime story book, Was <v Speaker 3>there anything in there that kind of revealed more? Because <v Speaker 3>I remember Mimeta said there was something extra in there, <v Speaker 3>like the story. <v Speaker 2>Apparently Rosalina has an unnamed younger brother mentioned in Super <v Speaker 2>Mario Galaxy two thousands. <v Speaker 1>I wonder if that. <v Speaker 3>I got really confused, and I said there were sisters, like, well, <v Speaker 3>I guess technically sure, they could also be sisters, and <v Speaker 3>she just never mentioned it, but she was younger. <v Speaker 1>She was really young. <v Speaker 3>They were saying at that point where she well, this <v Speaker 3>is this is the movie world, which now is a <v Speaker 3>little different. It's a different can they took that idea <v Speaker 3>of a brother and they just made it a sister brother. <v Speaker 3>I was so, I know, it's so many spoilers, but <v Speaker 3>the end credit scene, I was kind of hoping Warrior <v Speaker 3>Walauigi would show up. <v Speaker 1>That's what I think they're going to be there. I <v Speaker 1>think they're going to be I think so too, But <v Speaker 1>like I would have liked if it ended with that. <v Speaker 3>I agree, I would have been a little bit more <v Speaker 3>exciting than like Daisy, like Daisy. Daisy's got its fans, <v Speaker 3>believe me, they were very dedicated. But yeah, I don't know. <v Speaker 3>I think Warrior Wallowich have been a lot more hype. <v Speaker 3>But yeah, whatever they'll they'll be in there. I think, <v Speaker 3>you know what we're talking about, the kind of the <v Speaker 3>post credits. I mean, even though it is like Daisy revealed, <v Speaker 3>I feel like they could still see Warrio and Wallowigi <v Speaker 3>as well. Well. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, all three of them. <v Speaker 3>Are pretty much always in every single spin off game. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>I don't think the next movie is gonna just ad <v Speaker 3>Daisy and that's so. Yeah, there's gonna be more character's <v Speaker 3>gonna be there's gonna be more celebrity. <v Speaker 2>Give us a different like they already did bows and <v Speaker 2>Bowser Junior. Now we need like a new enemy too, <v Speaker 2>we need I think. <v Speaker 3>They gotta work for Bowser and they're like the idiot <v Speaker 3>bad and they got to backstop Bowser, betray him and <v Speaker 3>try to like you know, that's how they They could <v Speaker 3>just still do the Mario Tennis fever story. Are there <v Speaker 3>any other main bad guys? I don't think so. Right, <v Speaker 3>that's it they war but he was kind of like <v Speaker 3>weekly guys they could pull from. They could pull. They <v Speaker 3>could pull from RPGs, like you know, Paper Mario or <v Speaker 3>no On Mario Luigi. <v Speaker 1>But I don't think it's Warrior. <v Speaker 3>That would be Hype that that has to be they <v Speaker 3>get dark dark Bowser from Bowser inside story. <v Speaker 1>That'd be dry Bones Bowser whatever his name is that <v Speaker 1>dry Bones. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, you know, I didn't like predict it when I <v Speaker 3>saw that he fell in the lava and I'm always <v Speaker 3>coming back. It was cool because I'm like, this is <v Speaker 3>was the eye color orange? I can't remember, like dry <v Speaker 3>Bowser becase it's supposed to be blueye a picture up <v Speaker 3>over the Yeah, supposed to be Yeah, I'm pretty sure <v Speaker 3>it'supposed at least in three D land it is. <v Speaker 2>I like how they how Bowser Junior, you know, I <v Speaker 2>mean it's orange and new Super Maribros too. <v Speaker 1>Okay, so I'm just thinking of one of the games. <v Speaker 1>Yeah it's blue. Never mind. <v Speaker 2>By the way, in the bonus episode today for patreons <v Speaker 2>and members, we're going to be talking about the Nintendo <v Speaker 2>Cinematic Universe yea, and when I get into that mall, <v Speaker 2>what movies could be next and what the game and <v Speaker 2>watch implications of Yes, that was. <v Speaker 1>Another random thing that game we're talking right now. It <v Speaker 1>was very random. So this catch kind of goes what <v Speaker 1>I was going to say. <v Speaker 3>What Bowser Junior and like the paintbrush, I feel like <v Speaker 3>I liked how they portrayed Bowser Junior. <v Speaker 1>I don't like his voice. I just think I don't <v Speaker 1>like his eyes. <v Speaker 2>I did not get used to his eyes very crazy, <v Speaker 2>like what kind of I don't understand, like as soon <v Speaker 2>as the song, like maybe a lot just to it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, his eyes in the games are just black dots. <v Speaker 3>They were I don't think they were just going to <v Speaker 3>do that. They had added something, but. <v Speaker 1>Why not make it white like a normal voice? <v Speaker 3>Actor Benny Saft, I don't know who. I don't remember <v Speaker 3>he using something I don't I don't remember him from. <v Speaker 3>I'm surprised. It's not like I Will Farrell or something <v Speaker 3>like some like big act Sandler. <v Speaker 1>I mean, it's as crazy as Seth Rogan and yeah <v Speaker 1>we got we. <v Speaker 2>Have slots for Warrio and Wall Childish Gambia is Yoshi <v Speaker 2>who literally just said it was actually really good. Yoshi, <v Speaker 2>it was, but like it wasn't the same Yoshi, but <v Speaker 2>like it was it was close enough, like you know. <v Speaker 1>Not for sure. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, So I mean Star Fox and Game and Game <v Speaker 3>and Watch. We're in the movie and pickman Glenn Powell, <v Speaker 3>the guy from Top Gun, which I think that's actually <v Speaker 3>really cool. <v Speaker 1>I think that's why he was picked. <v Speaker 3>They made Fox and I didn't really have a I <v Speaker 3>don't have an opinion, but they made him very like <v Speaker 3>like flashy. <v Speaker 1>He was the cool guy he was. He's a cool guy. <v Speaker 1>He's flashy, but he's also very like. <v Speaker 3>He was very emotional at times, like he he was <v Speaker 3>like crying on a ship when it was very like animated. <v Speaker 2>That was you don't really see that from Fox. Usually <v Speaker 2>have a very different outlook on Fox. <v Speaker 3>Now. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think they shifted him a bit and I <v Speaker 1>think it worked. It does, but they made him more <v Speaker 1>bubbly twenty six. <v Speaker 3>I wonder if they're gonna bring him back, because it <v Speaker 3>would actually be kind of cool to like, if they're <v Speaker 3>gonna add in these characters, bring back Fox, Rowan Falco, <v Speaker 3>Slippy Peppy, why not, right, you might as well do it. <v Speaker 3>I think it's a Star Fox movie, then yeah, I <v Speaker 3>think that will probably be like I don't think a starfus. <v Speaker 1>It's not a big enough if they made it. <v Speaker 2>If you've tried, like eventually if they made like a <v Speaker 2>Avengers crossover smash. <v Speaker 1>The bonus episode, Yeah, yeah, we got we got a hold. <v Speaker 3>The one thing though, I will say about Fox as <v Speaker 3>well is that I I think I was telling this <v Speaker 3>a couple of my friends too, but like, you don't <v Speaker 3>really see Yeah, you don't really see Fox like that emotional. <v Speaker 3>So it's not gonna say emotional, but like that kind <v Speaker 3>of dynamic of like a personality because in the games, <v Speaker 3>like he's very stoic, he's very like, you know, calm, <v Speaker 3>focused on at least in some of the games. But <v Speaker 3>like I said, this also could be just how Illumination <v Speaker 3>does their characters. Yeah, they always have to kind of <v Speaker 3>portray them in as very much like this one type <v Speaker 3>of character. Like Mario, he's very like he's a central character. <v Speaker 3>He's supposed to be kind of like brave, but also <v Speaker 3>you know, care carrying of his friend's peach is also <v Speaker 3>very much I think would have been cooler if he <v Speaker 3>was like like a hand solo type. <v Speaker 1>That's just he was a lot more like tone. <v Speaker 3>I'm seeing a lot of comparisons between like this movie <v Speaker 3>and like Star Wars, because I've been seen that it's <v Speaker 3>like the princess gets captured. Lea gets captured. There's like <v Speaker 3>a death Star version of Bowser's planet. Right, there's you <v Speaker 3>need a pilot at like a there's like a casino <v Speaker 3>area too. The pilo would be like han solo, it's <v Speaker 3>Fox in this case, there's a ship. <v Speaker 1>I can see it. There's other worlds sidekick like Robot. <v Speaker 2>Like spot on Slimy in the first movie. Yes, I know, <v Speaker 2>I know, but know it was it was still good. <v Speaker 2>It's because like he had, like I would say, more <v Speaker 2>screen on time with this movie, because he's like following <v Speaker 2>Bowser Junior everye He's a well used character more than <v Speaker 2>some o this. I feel like Toad barely got any <v Speaker 2>screen time. They don't have time, I guess was the <v Speaker 2>running bit that Toad was like upset that was a <v Speaker 2>new sidekick. <v Speaker 3>Can we say the best character on the movie was Rob? <v Speaker 3>Can I just say, like, okay, that was the best <v Speaker 3>character in this whole movie. <v Speaker 1>Joke that was like the best joke. <v Speaker 3>So it was and it was funny, but it was <v Speaker 3>also very much Sutopia. <v Speaker 1>Yeah today it was like it was one. <v Speaker 3>They were two of them at the counter getting annoyed <v Speaker 3>by the sloth. It's still worked, Like, no, no, they're <v Speaker 3>that's Disney. <v Speaker 1>They definitely stole that joke. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, Like, if you've ever used rob like, oh, I <v Speaker 3>love it works so well, especially if you've actually used it. Well, <v Speaker 3>here are some of the reviews coming in thick and fast. <v Speaker 3>We have on Rotten to it's down to forty two. <v Speaker 3>Now it was forty four. Then when I made my <v Speaker 3>thumbnail last night, it was forty three. Wow, now it's <v Speaker 3>forty two. Is solid? Audience is ninety which that isn't <v Speaker 3>That's fine? I mean that's definitely that's a lot of <v Speaker 3>people just voting at one hundred. Did we say what <v Speaker 3>we would rate it? I want to say that for later. <v Speaker 3>How we in the movie. <v Speaker 1>Let's go through all these ratings and then we can <v Speaker 1>all rate it. Okay. <v Speaker 3>Ign gave it a six and said it was okay. <v Speaker 3>They said it was an Mario Galaxy ditches, an engaging <v Speaker 3>story in favor of a pipe bursting amount of Easter eggs. <v Speaker 3>But that's not an old together bad thing. Which yeah, again, <v Speaker 3>if you're a fan of Mario, you get so much <v Speaker 3>more out of the movie. Like, if you're not, it's <v Speaker 3>probably just kind of if you're a kid or you're <v Speaker 3>a massive Mario fan. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, pretty much. And then what is this, Oh, <v Speaker 1>this might be an article. I had a IMDb. <v Speaker 3>IMDb Yeah, IMDb is six point six out of ten, so, <v Speaker 3>you know, not like crazy high scores it is. I <v Speaker 3>think it is a little disappointing just because like, why <v Speaker 3>not both you know, it'd be really cool as like <v Speaker 3>as Nintendo fans, as people that have grown up with <v Speaker 3>this game in this series. This is going mainstream, This <v Speaker 3>is going out to like the world, right. I would <v Speaker 3>really love if it had the Easter Eggs, if it <v Speaker 3>had the animation, and it had the story, because I <v Speaker 3>have done. This is absolutely getting rated low just because <v Speaker 3>of the story. Yes, because it's the only thing that's lacking. <v Speaker 3>It's it's the pacing, it's the story. It's the heart <v Speaker 3>of a movie, the biggest part of the movie. It <v Speaker 3>doesn't have it. It's just not there. But it's still managing <v Speaker 3>to get a six point six despite it being technically <v Speaker 3>a bad film, because it has incredible animation, really good <v Speaker 3>voice acting. You know, a lot of like Easter Eggs, <v Speaker 3>it's fun. You know, it's getting carried by that, which <v Speaker 3>is which is pushing it up to like the scores <v Speaker 3>that it's getting. And then you know, depending on who <v Speaker 3>you are, if you're like a big fan that just <v Speaker 3>love seeing the Easter eggs, this might be a ten <v Speaker 3>out of ten for you. <v Speaker 1>You can look past like the nothing of it all. <v Speaker 3>I think I liked the first one more because it <v Speaker 3>was so so novel just to see him on the <v Speaker 3>big screen. And I really loved the East rags in <v Speaker 3>this movie too, But the novelist is kind of gone. <v Speaker 1>What do you say? Sometimes it's nice to space out, <v Speaker 1>which is kind of wrong with the space. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I agree, spacing out and space and all that <v Speaker 3>good stuff. <v Speaker 2>All right, I have a couple articles to read, but <v Speaker 2>let's cut away and due off final scores. I'm gonna <v Speaker 2>go last. Let's start with Sally. I would say for <v Speaker 2>me it was a solid eight out of ten. I <v Speaker 2>would fall into the category of what IGN described. You know, <v Speaker 2>it's it's a Mario movie filled with Easter Eggs visuals. <v Speaker 1>You're not gonna get the greatest story out of it. <v Speaker 2>But that's really like all their three D title games, like, <v Speaker 2>I feel like they just leave everything very ambiguous to <v Speaker 2>play it safe. <v Speaker 3>They don't want do you have like an unbiased rating? <v Speaker 3>Or is eight out of ten literally like the unbiased <v Speaker 3>and biased that is the rating. <v Speaker 2>I would say, like I went into it knowing that <v Speaker 2>it's not going to be anything deep eight. <v Speaker 1>Out of ten. I know you had a good time <v Speaker 1>because I heard you next to me for. <v Speaker 2>You were like. <v Speaker 1>I was like, yeah, yeah, okay. <v Speaker 3>I'd say I would say biased a ten, unbiased at seven. <v Speaker 3>I'd say the music and the animation were doing the <v Speaker 3>most care best, the best carrying job I've ever seen ever, <v Speaker 3>just because and I think we said it. The idea <v Speaker 3>that they used way less I think of like what <v Speaker 3>one or two licensed songs, yeah, compared to like I <v Speaker 3>just listened to that was that was the whole covie soundtrack. <v Speaker 1>And hearing some of. <v Speaker 3>Like those themes, like even if it was just for <v Speaker 3>a couple of seconds, it was so cool, Like Dusty Garden, <v Speaker 3>I was Gusty Garden. You heard like the when the <v Speaker 3>Pickman were in like the station, you heard it for <v Speaker 3>the theme for a couple of seconds. <v Speaker 1>That was cute. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, the star Fux theme, the Cornaria theme, that was <v Speaker 3>really cool, or even just like the the final Battle <v Speaker 3>from Galaxy that theme was playing too. <v Speaker 1>For some parts. <v Speaker 3>It was cool to hear that, I'll say I have <v Speaker 3>one complain about the music. Yes, they kept talking about <v Speaker 3>face Young galaxy, and not only did we never see it, they. <v Speaker 1>Never played music of space junk in the movie. <v Speaker 3>I think they showed, like why not the part of <v Speaker 3>it the beginning, like the very beginning where they showed <v Speaker 3>some stuff floating around, but that wasn't the same thing. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I didn't feel like space. It was a very <v Speaker 1>distinct galaxy. Like they could have, don't you know. <v Speaker 3>There's like those weird like translucent cubes like could have <v Speaker 3>thrown that in there somewhere like random thing. But yeah, <v Speaker 3>they no actual like references to space, they chunk whatsoever. <v Speaker 3>But out of yeah, out of the animation of how <v Speaker 3>everything looked and you know that sounded, I would say <v Speaker 3>that's what given me an a out of ten unbiased. <v Speaker 3>Like I said, though, I'd say seven, okay, okay, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>I think as a Mario fan is it was probably <v Speaker 3>like a nine. I just the references, like I love <v Speaker 3>that stuff, but as a movie probably like a six. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. I think the story was it really was a <v Speaker 1>big issue. <v Speaker 2>I think, uh for a fan and the references and <v Speaker 2>the visuals and everything, I don't know why it would <v Speaker 2>be anything other than a ten out of ten as <v Speaker 2>far as like that goes it literally, they couldn't have <v Speaker 2>done better for that, that is literally like they did they. <v Speaker 1>I can't imagine what else they could have done. <v Speaker 2>I feel like it was just a little bit longer. <v Speaker 2>They could have squeezed it more for it to be <v Speaker 2>a ten out of ten. <v Speaker 3>I mean sure, but I think like if you were <v Speaker 3>to look at any other property or any other video <v Speaker 3>game being turned into a movie, what what added more <v Speaker 3>Easter eggs? <v Speaker 1>What added more visuals? <v Speaker 2>What added more like just things for fans, Like, I <v Speaker 2>don't think it's ever been done better. <v Speaker 1>I mean incredibly, I just. <v Speaker 3>But like as a movie, I would struggle to go <v Speaker 3>above afore WHOA, I don't think that's even like a <v Speaker 3>hot take. <v Speaker 1>I really feel like that's pretty cold. <v Speaker 3>I'm surprised you guys are so high it was bad. <v Speaker 3>I am a very unpicky moviegoer. If I'm entertained, I'm like, oh, <v Speaker 3>it's a good movie. Like that's basically me. I mean, <v Speaker 3>if I think about some ten out of ten movies <v Speaker 3>that have come out, or even like a ten out <v Speaker 3>of ten animated movie like Pushing Boots, which had some <v Speaker 3>incredible animation, but also I mean, I'm not putting I'm <v Speaker 3>not putting Mario at eight next to it. You know, <v Speaker 3>it gets shoved down. <v Speaker 2>It was much less picky when it comes to animated <v Speaker 2>movies when they're bad versus like. <v Speaker 3>A I R like, you know, it's wild is kind <v Speaker 3>of the opposite, because it's it's so easy to like <v Speaker 3>make exactly the movie you want to make when you're <v Speaker 3>when you're creating it, like you can literally you can <v Speaker 3>make it whatever you want, you know, like it's animated, <v Speaker 3>so like it's really easy I think almost to make <v Speaker 3>a really heart felt even like one guy with like <v Speaker 3>drawing in like an app on his computer can probably <v Speaker 3>make a two minutes short, like really heartfelt thing, you know. <v Speaker 3>So like, uh again, I think of movies like Coco <v Speaker 3>and stuff like that where I'll literally get so invested <v Speaker 3>I'll be crying every single time. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>So yeah, I'm at a just as a film. It's <v Speaker 3>full film as a Mario fan. You said what I <v Speaker 3>mean as a Mario fan. If you're looking again for <v Speaker 3>the Easter eggs, for the references, for the characters, and <v Speaker 3>for the animation and the music. Yes, it's ten out <v Speaker 3>of ten. Okay, nobody does it. I think of movies, <v Speaker 3>and no one else does it. Like it's two very <v Speaker 3>separate things, which I think makes sense in a way. <v Speaker 3>If you take the four and you take the ten, <v Speaker 3>and you find somewhere in the middle, you're about at <v Speaker 3>six or seven. Yeah, So most people I think are <v Speaker 3>kind of reading it right now. Yeah, i'd say that's perfect. <v Speaker 3>The people who are completely like saying it is like <v Speaker 3>a zero out of ten, I think they're crazy. No, <v Speaker 3>they're not exactly they're seeing it because I don't know. <v Speaker 3>I don't pick everything from it, just like it's hard <v Speaker 3>to find. I think it's harder to find a zero <v Speaker 3>out of ten movie than a ten out of ten movie. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>like zero out of ten, you have to have no <v Speaker 3>redeeming qualities. It's so bad it's not even funny. Like <v Speaker 3>I like my friends and I sometimes we'll get together <v Speaker 3>and we watch bad movies, Like like there was some <v Speaker 3>movie you watch recently called with the Pot Pot Man <v Speaker 3>or something where there's like killer chef wore a pot <v Speaker 3>on his head and he went around killing like teenagees. <v Speaker 1>It was horror. I wouldn't give that a zero because <v Speaker 1>we laughed the whole time and it was awesome. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, you know, you know there because there are some <v Speaker 3>moments like you could tell like this movie was a <v Speaker 3>kid's movie because of those jokes and like the humor. <v Speaker 3>Lumas are just like minions, like they really like it <v Speaker 3>was kind of like that in the first movie with <v Speaker 3>the one Lumily, but yeah, in this movie they're like, <v Speaker 3>this is our minion, right. I think the you know, <v Speaker 3>it's also just jarring is that having them with mouths <v Speaker 3>I think also just made it feel very more Menian's <v Speaker 3>like because right here, like Loomas don't have mouths. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they don't have mouths at all. <v Speaker 3>So it's it's kind of weird to see them because <v Speaker 3>they're like, oh I can hear you talking. <v Speaker 1>They are so cute. <v Speaker 2>They are the they were cute. Yeah, I agree say that. <v Speaker 2>That's something I was gonna say, but I forgot. Here <v Speaker 2>are That's just a couple of articles. This one was <v Speaker 2>from tech Radar. The super Mario Galaxy receives washed ratings <v Speaker 2>and its predecessor and critics of calling it up bland <v Speaker 2>screen savior that's washed than AI. <v Speaker 1>Come on, that's a little ridiculous. <v Speaker 2>Okay, that's just very insulting rating with that, like worse <v Speaker 2>than a I to like, get out of here. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, they're probably Sonic fans. They haven't seen Super Mario Titans. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, yeah, come on that the movie was better <v Speaker 2>than Mario Titan, like Rage Base just to get the clicks. <v Speaker 3>It's it's it's a rough statement. I think there's some truth, <v Speaker 3>but it's rough to say it like that. You could <v Speaker 3>argue maybe the story kind of feels like that, because yeah, <v Speaker 3>the story is pretty well. Here's what I would I <v Speaker 3>would change the word bland to like a pretty screensaver <v Speaker 3>beau beautiful, beautiful screen saver that reminds me of AI. <v Speaker 3>I wouldn't say bland. It was anything but bland. The <v Speaker 3>story was bland. But if you're talking about like on <v Speaker 3>the screen, the screen was visually that scene where all <v Speaker 3>the little stars were coloring, Yeah, the star that was beautiful, <v Speaker 3>or when they were flying to the Bowser's world. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, they didn't even talk about so incredibly detailed. Come on, <v Speaker 2>like to compare that to AI is literally really insulted. <v Speaker 2>It's the story that million the story that, it's the <v Speaker 2>focusing the artists. Yeah, I get all the artists phenomenal yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>they killed it. <v Speaker 1>They killed it. <v Speaker 3>So Mario Galaxy, he's already breaking box office records, so <v Speaker 3>some good news. Yeah, surprised it. <v Speaker 1>I think it just clutched it the biggest opening day, <v Speaker 1>reaching thirty four million dollars, I assume, which puts it <v Speaker 1>ahead of Project Mary at thirty. <v Speaker 2>Saw that that was really good. That now that has <v Speaker 2>a really good story. That's crazy that that did so well. Yeah, right, <v Speaker 2>because like Mario, Yeah, it was really good. Well, I'm sure, yeah, <v Speaker 2>but like I don't. I actually didn't even hear that <v Speaker 2>much about it. <v Speaker 3>I found out about it when it is Ryan Gosling, right, <v Speaker 3>he was on SNL talking about it, and I was like, <v Speaker 3>I've never heard of that. <v Speaker 1>It's a really good movie. <v Speaker 3>I'm no, I'm sure it's a good I'm just surprised <v Speaker 3>it did like as well as Mario movie. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, Mario did as well as that one. True. We'll <v Speaker 1>have to wait till this weekend to see though, because <v Speaker 1>that's probably when most watch. Yeah, Mario Waiting. <v Speaker 3>The first Mario movie made thirty one point seven, so <v Speaker 3>it clipsed it by clips. But I believe the last <v Speaker 3>one also released April early April to I think they <v Speaker 3>were both look at the release date, I think they <v Speaker 3>were both Easter holiday. Yeah, that's right, because now I <v Speaker 3>think it was I think it was March. I'm pretty <v Speaker 3>sure it was March. I think it was April fifth, April. <v Speaker 1>They both targeted this weekend because people have like four <v Speaker 1>days off spring break. That makes sense. <v Speaker 3>Well not everyone, but a lot of people get good <v Speaker 3>Friday and then sometimes the Monday off. <v Speaker 4>Yep. <v Speaker 2>So yeah, I mean it will probably blow up, do <v Speaker 2>something crazy. I mean, what did the first movie made. <v Speaker 3>Let's see the same outlet report of the Mario movie <v Speaker 3>sequel is projected to make three hundred fifty million worldwide <v Speaker 3>across five day Easter weekend, which should slightly lower than <v Speaker 3>the three seven seven achieve Why would it be lower <v Speaker 3>slightly if it's already in the lead. <v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, they sang it for the first day. It's <v Speaker 1>in the lead. <v Speaker 3>But either way, it's it's incredible that it's getting that <v Speaker 3>kind of reach. At the end of the day, movie <v Speaker 3>will make probably about a billion dollars. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean this is a wide movie too, Like <v Speaker 2>people across the globe are going to be going and <v Speaker 2>watching it. <v Speaker 1>You know. It's not just like something that's going to <v Speaker 1>be here, and this. <v Speaker 3>Is an interesting little thought piece here. Mario creator Miamoto says, <v Speaker 3>there's only so many people Nintendo Cream reach across consoles <v Speaker 3>like the Switch too, so we want to expand outside <v Speaker 3>of video games. <v Speaker 1>And obviously that's true. <v Speaker 3>I mean, video games as a media is bigger than ever, <v Speaker 3>and it's it's definitely mainstream. <v Speaker 2>I saw an interesting I've really I really like this. <v Speaker 2>Uh watch Rogelina's actor's name Bri. <v Speaker 3>She's awesome. She definitely is a big gamer and she <v Speaker 3>Uh where was I going with this? I just started <v Speaker 3>thinking about how well she's a fan. She hasn't she <v Speaker 3>had a quote for this, Oh yeah, it was so often. <v Speaker 3>I saw an interview she said, so often you ask <v Speaker 3>people what movie they're watching or what book they're reading, <v Speaker 3>but you never asking what video game they're playing. So <v Speaker 3>like we're still like mainstream in video games, but like <v Speaker 3>not to the point where like, yeah, I mean, how <v Speaker 3>often do you, like, you know, meet someone and be like, so, <v Speaker 3>what video game are you playing? <v Speaker 1>Like unless but it's not like a go to like <v Speaker 1>with date or something, you know. <v Speaker 3>But he's saying he wants to expand outside of video games, <v Speaker 3>which obviously movies is a great place to do that. <v Speaker 1>I mean, what other medium is that TV show? <v Speaker 3>I guess yeah, I think honestly, like, I don't think <v Speaker 3>they need to do movies for every franchise, but the <v Speaker 3>idea of doing like short little like like a couple <v Speaker 3>of seasons of like a Star Fox show or something, <v Speaker 3>I think would work a lot better than making like <v Speaker 3>a whole movie out of it, or like how they did. <v Speaker 2>That to make billions, because these movies are guarantee to <v Speaker 2>make like a billing. <v Speaker 1>That's the thing. <v Speaker 3>I don't think a Star Fox movie would make a <v Speaker 3>billion dollars, but I still think they could capture a <v Speaker 3>pretty good audience if they make a Star Fox like <v Speaker 3>TV show. <v Speaker 1>True, Remember they made there's no demand? <v Speaker 3>Remember that little like Pickman short they did too, Like yeah, <v Speaker 3>I think they're plenty today stuff like that. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, because they made that was that like a year <v Speaker 1>ago at this point, it was a while ago. They <v Speaker 1>made that short. So they can do more Zelda movie, <v Speaker 1>Like how well that does? I'm so curious. <v Speaker 3>It's either going to be amazing or it's gonna sucks. <v Speaker 3>And it's live action limit amazing. That'll be much harder <v Speaker 3>to hide behind a bad story. Because it's not gonna. <v Speaker 1>If it's a god, it's gonna be awful. That's what <v Speaker 1>it is. It won't be it can't Like you can't <v Speaker 1>really do live action in that way. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it also costs a lot more money to do <v Speaker 3>that because you're constantly changing around the scenes and different <v Speaker 3>locations and shoots. So I'll definitely be so slower paced <v Speaker 3>for sure. We'll talk more about that for the bonus episode. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>I think we should get into all of that in <v Speaker 3>the bonus episode for sure. All right, let me see <v Speaker 3>what else I got here. Do we have any final <v Speaker 3>thoughts on the Mario movie. I loved the that they <v Speaker 3>added in the Mario Wanna See Dragon out of Nowhere? <v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, although I will say it was very really <v Speaker 3>anti climatic because Mario just gets the Red Star hits <v Speaker 3>him one time and he's dead. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that was the Red Star was cool. It was cool. <v Speaker 3>I'm really glad that they actually added that in. But <v Speaker 3>like the Dragon didn't even do anything. Time added the <v Speaker 3>feather to put the you know what, yeah, a lot <v Speaker 3>of power up. I just realized, Yeah, I think this <v Speaker 3>is allow every old cloud and like some of some <v Speaker 3>of the final sections were really cool. Like the fight <v Speaker 3>with like Junior and Embowser was a lot better like <v Speaker 3>fired up and yeah, but then like that second part <v Speaker 3>with the dragon, I'm like, oh, this is gonna be sick, <v Speaker 3>like a really cool fight scene. No, it's over like <v Speaker 3>that like this, So it was cool to see fire <v Speaker 3>Mario and Fi Luigi at the stop, but they only <v Speaker 3>used it as a tool as Actually yeah, I think <v Speaker 3>the other thing I realized was and this also might <v Speaker 3>just be due to like the story death and the <v Speaker 3>lack of it, but like they get a power up <v Speaker 3>and they instantly know how to use it, Like for <v Speaker 3>I was like, oh, like this, I'm black and red, <v Speaker 3>what can I do? Oh I'm flying now, what's going on? <v Speaker 3>Or like Luigi gets the cloud and he uses it <v Speaker 3>as like a shield. That was actually very cool because <v Speaker 3>they don't do that in the games. You just used <v Speaker 3>as a platform platform or like drill Mario going crazy, <v Speaker 3>Yoshi getting like the air the blimp fruit that was that. <v Speaker 2>Was a that was a good joke, but like they <v Speaker 2>use can I say that the movie was not funny? <v Speaker 2>I like the rob joke, but otherwise there's some part <v Speaker 2>so that were funny. I felt I felt like nothing <v Speaker 2>was Landing for me, like none of the jokes but Landing, <v Speaker 2>they were all just so like cookie cutter. You know what. <v Speaker 3>I just realized too, there's like a whole subplot of <v Speaker 3>like Mario having a crush on Peach. That was just <v Speaker 3>I didn't go anywhere either pushed it. Yeah, yeah, true, <v Speaker 3>and I didn't like, you got to crush on the <v Speaker 3>pre But I think that's how they're going to keep <v Speaker 3>it because that's literally how it is in the video games. <v Speaker 1>Don't want kissed them? Well, yeah, but because it's in <v Speaker 1>the video games, bro, she kissed. <v Speaker 3>Theater might not have been a good example of the comedy, <v Speaker 3>but there was like kids right in front of us <v Speaker 3>laugh well a couple of times I didn't hear it <v Speaker 3>for like, what were they doing it. <v Speaker 1>The whole time? No, I don't know. I just saw <v Speaker 1>that because when they did that montage where they were <v Speaker 1>fixing up the Kingdom or they were they were helping <v Speaker 1>with the kingdom, I heard them laughing during that part. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>but I didn't hear them laugh again after that. <v Speaker 2>Kids next a few times, I don't remember it was <v Speaker 2>coming out of it was a genuine type of laugh. <v Speaker 1>It was I just would expect for this movie, it <v Speaker 1>would be like like laughing the whole time. He probably <v Speaker 1>fell asleep. It's a late movie. <v Speaker 3>Again, I sat it might have been a good example <v Speaker 3>because that was literally like two kids there, but I <v Speaker 3>didn't really hear anyone making a peep at any point. <v Speaker 1>All right, here's this we sent he asked. <v Speaker 3>He asks him favorite Luigi's Well me, wow, I just <v Speaker 3>thought that was Did we do final thoughts somewhere all week? <v Speaker 1>Week? <v Speaker 3>I would say, like for me, I'm out of everything <v Speaker 3>after like letting it sit for a day now, because <v Speaker 3>I probably will see this again eventually at some point. <v Speaker 3>I I think it's just cool to see stuff like that, <v Speaker 3>like a video game thing on the big screen like <v Speaker 3>that and done in a really like beautifully visual way, <v Speaker 3>and then the soundtrack just being on everything that like you. <v Speaker 1>Could sorry, you can sorry about that. <v Speaker 3>You can like imagine because as a kid, like you're <v Speaker 3>playing a game you hear from the TV or like oh, <v Speaker 3>like this is you're so immersed in the world. But <v Speaker 3>to see it like that, and I imagine even like <v Speaker 3>for the first time, like a kid watching this movie, <v Speaker 3>sure there's like a lot going on, and maybe they <v Speaker 3>don't get the entirety of it all. But I'm sure, <v Speaker 3>like you know, they're they're looking at this movie with <v Speaker 3>like wonder in their eyes and like all all these colors, <v Speaker 3>all these characters, these worlds. I think it's so cool <v Speaker 3>about Mario in the first place. But I just yeah, <v Speaker 3>at the end of the day, like you know, it's <v Speaker 3>I would say it's not a great movie, but I did. <v Speaker 3>I did have a good time. <v Speaker 2>It is cool they can watch these movies and then <v Speaker 2>go to the Universal Studios Park. Yeah, and I do <v Speaker 2>feel like we're on the cusp of nintend Like they <v Speaker 2>like we're talking about like the Mario movie right now <v Speaker 2>being good all bad. But I do feel like we're <v Speaker 2>on the cusp of Nintender about to blow up in <v Speaker 2>a whole new way. <v Speaker 1>I could say it with the movies. <v Speaker 3>I mean, this is just the start of it, and <v Speaker 3>it's already breaking like records and stuff. They can definitely <v Speaker 3>pivot this into our like Nintendo Universe Cinematic universe talk. <v Speaker 3>But like with the park and with everything else they're doing, <v Speaker 3>I mean, like what are the company is positioned in <v Speaker 3>a way that's so Disney adjacent, right, Like not many <v Speaker 3>they have the same audience. They have the same vibe. <v Speaker 3>But this is like video games, and they have like <v Speaker 3>all the elements are there. The only thing they don't <v Speaker 3>have is like they're not good at coming up with <v Speaker 3>new ips. Yeah, they I mean the last new one <v Speaker 3>was just was. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Disney is always making a new thing, always making a <v Speaker 3>new movie. Sometimes Mickey Mouse and any Disney basically everybody <v Speaker 3>field more poper than Mickey Mouse. <v Speaker 2>You think, yeah, no, worldwide maybe not like thirty would <v Speaker 2>would I look up for that the most popular mascot character? Well, <v Speaker 2>I agree, it was definitely like one of the more recognizable. <v Speaker 2>I don't think Vicky Mouse is that, like sure you <v Speaker 2>still see in like video games maybe like nowadays. I think, yeah, <v Speaker 2>I think you guys have maybe in a little bit <v Speaker 2>of a gaming bubble. I think Mickey Mouse is probably. <v Speaker 2>I think Mickey Mouse is like it's been all like <v Speaker 2>Winnie the Pool or something. <v Speaker 3>When you think of like worldwide iconic characters, I think <v Speaker 3>of like I kind of think of like old cartoons <v Speaker 3>like Mickey Mouse, Bugs, Bunny's, the Simpsons are probably. <v Speaker 1>I just don't see like movies or games or much <v Speaker 1>media of those characters. <v Speaker 2>Now. <v Speaker 1>I'm not sure what to look up for this iconic <v Speaker 1>characters of all time? <v Speaker 3>Are you just going to get someone's opinion? What are <v Speaker 3>we thinking about money by? Like, well, that's Pokemon beats everybody. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, Pokemon is a huge ip of the most <v Speaker 2>successful brand mascots of old time. Like you can't really <v Speaker 2>quantify it, but it's just like I feel like Mario <v Speaker 2>is recognized worldwide where I I know somewhere out there <v Speaker 2>in Africa there's a kid who doesn't know who Mickey <v Speaker 2>Mouse is but knows Mario. <v Speaker 1>You know, I don't know what I asked GBT, Like <v Speaker 1>I hate using AI for things, but I don't know <v Speaker 1>because how do you phrase the question? <v Speaker 3>I don't think you would have an answer? What just <v Speaker 3>what's well, well, I'll google it. What's more well known Mario? <v Speaker 3>Or who is Mickey Mouse? <v Speaker 1>I don't know. <v Speaker 3>Mickey Mouse has greater historical longevity and brand recognition as <v Speaker 3>the face of Disney, Mario is arguably more well known <v Speaker 3>among modern younger generations and active consumers. Both are considered <v Speaker 3>top tier general global pop culture icons, with Mario dominating <v Speaker 3>the interactive media in games and Mickey holding a broader <v Speaker 3>presence in traditional media and merchandising. And where did it <v Speaker 3>what's references that's steal it from rehetoric comment or what <v Speaker 3>it was Google AI. So I don't know because there's <v Speaker 3>a there's a Reddit poll with one hundred and twenty <v Speaker 3>votes where someone asked the question that's official right there <v Speaker 3>Mickey Mouse one with eighty of them. Wow, I do <v Speaker 3>feel like it's Mickey Mouse. <v Speaker 2>I feel like I feel like as like the kids <v Speaker 2>are coming about into this world in the younger audience. <v Speaker 1>They're probably going to be more in tune with Mario, <v Speaker 1>and that's why they make my Mario. If a Mickey Mouse. <v Speaker 2>Movie came out today alongside the Mario movie, the Mario <v Speaker 2>movie's taking the cake when it comes to sales. <v Speaker 1>I don't think they've made him like a Mickey Mouse movie. <v Speaker 2>But I'm just saying, like, if you were to give <v Speaker 2>a kid the option, would you want to go see <v Speaker 2>the Mario movie or a Mickey Mouse movie? <v Speaker 1>I would tell you nine out of ten times kids <v Speaker 1>would say Mario. I would watch the Emoji movie. How <v Speaker 1>about that? <v Speaker 3>The Emoji movie. I saw that a few years ago. <v Speaker 3>It was not as bad as I thought it was <v Speaker 3>gonna be. It wasn't a good movie, but it was like, Okay, <v Speaker 3>it was Okay. <v Speaker 1>I'm trying to figure this out, and I just I <v Speaker 1>looked up as Nintendo or Disney bigger. But I don't <v Speaker 1>think that's a fair thing because. <v Speaker 2>This money, yeah, and they're theme parks alone are pulling <v Speaker 2>in billions a year. <v Speaker 1>But the Mario and Mickey Mouse thing just got me <v Speaker 1>people's opinions. And I will say it will add towards <v Speaker 1>Mickey Mouse, but even I'm not really like, I don't <v Speaker 1>want to take that. I want, like I want something <v Speaker 1>to give me a death. You want, you want objectiveness? <v Speaker 1>Technically Mickey Mouse could. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, He's definitely bigger than Sense because there's how many <v Speaker 2>Disneys across the world and how many people are visible. <v Speaker 1>He's also been around since the fifties. The original Mickey <v Speaker 1>Mouse is public domain as of like a year or <v Speaker 1>two ago something like that. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's just I see what you mean by like <v Speaker 3>modern day Mario. I feel like it has the bigger <v Speaker 3>drawl because there's it covers so many different things now, <v Speaker 3>including movies and theme parks. But like I have to <v Speaker 3>say Mickey Mouse because like just Disney. <v Speaker 2>Is just. <v Speaker 3>That's like it's I feel like it's unfair comparison because <v Speaker 3>like Mickey Mouse has has been around for way longer <v Speaker 3>than Mario has. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's it's tough. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I guess like if you were to count every <v Speaker 3>year that ever existed with both the ips. <v Speaker 2>Exactly, Like if you're talking about relevancy today, I feel like, <v Speaker 2>you know, I'm right now. <v Speaker 3>Mario is just like you know, he's yeah, yeah, I <v Speaker 3>could admit Mickey Mouse and Friends have generated seventy billion <v Speaker 3>dollars of revenue like as the franchise, whereas Mario has <v Speaker 3>generated somewhere between thirty six and sixty billion, which I <v Speaker 3>don't know why fifty huge range, but they're both lower <v Speaker 3>than seventy. <v Speaker 1>And Mickey Mouse had fifty years at least ahead of Mario. <v Speaker 1>It's it's not fair. It's not fair. <v Speaker 3>I don't know if we're going to get an answer here, <v Speaker 3>but I think the point that it's so confusing just <v Speaker 3>is to the point of, like, that's how big Mario <v Speaker 3>and Nintendo yeahs like. <v Speaker 1>Not be bigger than Mickey Mouse is God's son? <v Speaker 2>Who do you like more? Mickey Mouse and Mario? Well, <v Speaker 2>he's gonna say, Mario, there you go, that's one that's one. <v Speaker 1>Eight year old. <v Speaker 2>Well, he's surprisingly like most eight year olds in five <v Speaker 2>year olds, six year old. <v Speaker 3>To the point and to my original point, I really <v Speaker 3>do feel like Nintendo's on the cusp of something and <v Speaker 3>then breaking out into like all forms of eight and <v Speaker 3>not just being in the realm of video games. We're <v Speaker 3>just we're on the cusp of something. I don't know <v Speaker 3>where it's gonna go. It's definitely possible. I could say, <v Speaker 3>more stores and stuff out. So just like what three <v Speaker 3>Nintendo stores, there should be like tons of them. One day, <v Speaker 3>there'll be more stores. One day they'll be Nintendo will <v Speaker 3>have its own park. It won't even it won't be <v Speaker 3>renting a spot, right, I could see it. <v Speaker 1>Animation studio they want. <v Speaker 3>We might yeah, we might even start getting Nintendo movies yea, <v Speaker 3>that have nothing to do with games. Literally, we might <v Speaker 3>get a Nintendo movie that's never been a video game before. <v Speaker 2>That would be very interesting, Like imagine a new ip <v Speaker 2>comes from a movie and then that and then get together. <v Speaker 3>I think that that will happen. Cool, that will happen. <v Speaker 3>It might be in ten years. I think that will happen. <v Speaker 3>I can see it if they keep the momentum going <v Speaker 3>with the switch to when we're fifty come back on <v Speaker 3>this podcast. Okay, so when you guys are fifty and <v Speaker 3>I'm thirty, all right, Yeah, you're not still like twenty <v Speaker 3>four minutes, all right? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it never puts a shame huh. Of course. Now listen, <v Speaker 1>I'm not the Yoshi Popcorn, but I'm not better than you. <v Speaker 2>Okay, what are we hold on? How long we've been going? <v Speaker 2>I don't know if that's not too bad. <v Speaker 3>You want to play you want to play a game <v Speaker 3>and get out of him, sure, and then do a <v Speaker 3>bonus episode. <v Speaker 1>Let's do it. <v Speaker 2>I saw common and Jet says Winnie the Pooh man. <v Speaker 2>It does not get better. And they're being serious too, <v Speaker 2>by the way, I. <v Speaker 3>Bet, I mean I Winnie the Pooh is is is <v Speaker 3>Vinny Winnie Pool? I think it started in like Russia. <v Speaker 3>Ross Kim watches it sometimes, Finnie Pool. <v Speaker 1>Do you guys watch that horror movie? That horror movie? <v Speaker 1>I didn't, but I should have seen it. <v Speaker 3>It was like a really bad one to make like <v Speaker 3>a cinematic universe out of that, Like, yeah, there was <v Speaker 3>there was like a sequel, I think, but I don't. <v Speaker 3>I don't remember beyond what's it? It's just called Winnie <v Speaker 3>I think. No, it's like when the Whinnie Honey, honey <v Speaker 3>slaughter or something. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it was. <v Speaker 2>It's like super geese blood and honey. Yes, blood and honey, <v Speaker 2>thank you. That's what it was, Winnie the Pool of <v Speaker 2>Blood and honey. Although you talk about the royalty free thing. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, is it good? <v Speaker 2>I got it, got really bad reviews. I don't want <v Speaker 2>it was pretty fast bear bro oh, I have knights <v Speaker 2>at Pooh. <v Speaker 3>I saw, I saw like some comment was like, because <v Speaker 3>of how successful the mar movie was, We're like, oh, <v Speaker 3>I hope five minutes and Friday's can be up. <v Speaker 1>There one day. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, the big names doubtful, but yeah, okay, we'll get <v Speaker 3>Freddy fas Bear in the next Morning movie. <v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, the next why not Smash Brothers for sure? <v Speaker 1>Oh jeez. <v Speaker 3>Sorry, I'm trying to find Vinnie Pool with the gun, <v Speaker 3>and all I'm finding is the original in Russia, I think. <v Speaker 1>So I found an image of threat, but it doesn't <v Speaker 1>even with a little k hi whatever. <v Speaker 3>Okay, So the game today is we're gonna play Imposta <v Speaker 3>and I'm gonna play with Bandy. And we should have <v Speaker 3>told Brenton to be prepared for this actually, because Brent, <v Speaker 3>we need your help with this. <v Speaker 1>Are you in there. <v Speaker 3>You So here's what we need to do. The four <v Speaker 3>of us are going to play a game where we <v Speaker 3>each have a character. Three of us are going to <v Speaker 3>have the same character, and then one of us is <v Speaker 3>going to be the impostor with a with a fourth <v Speaker 3>with a with a second different character so the other <v Speaker 3>three don't have We have to go around and say <v Speaker 3>one word at a time that relates to our character <v Speaker 3>until we figure out who has no idea who the <v Speaker 3>actual character is, who the impostor is. Does that make sense? <v Speaker 3>So I explain everything? Okay, people will figure it out. <v Speaker 1>What do I do? <v Speaker 2>So you come up with the word, and then you <v Speaker 2>come up with the impostor word, and then and then <v Speaker 2>that would be good if the audience knew who the impostor? <v Speaker 1>No, maybe I guess they don't know. They don't they <v Speaker 1>play along. Okay, hey guys, what is it? <v Speaker 3>Okay, So, Brenton, what I need you to do is <v Speaker 3>come up with two characters right now, okay, characters or anybody, <v Speaker 3>any any body, and make him completely different from each other. <v Speaker 3>Like I'm not I'm not saying like Mario and Luigi. <v Speaker 3>I'm saying like Samus and and Lara Croft Okay, I <v Speaker 3>don't know who Laura Croft is. <v Speaker 1>Are you kidding? Oh yeah, yeah, but let's let's let's <v Speaker 1>let's not do it. Okay, yeah, we could do it. <v Speaker 1>That adds on to the what do you want to do? <v Speaker 1>Keep it Intend? <v Speaker 2>Just keep it like Mario, keep it Intendo, but don't <v Speaker 2>go outside of that, just in case, like he gives <v Speaker 2>us like a random NPC from a game and then <v Speaker 2>I'm like, okay, doubt he's going to do that. <v Speaker 1>Okay, Well, I don't know. <v Speaker 3>It's just the reason why I was saying completely different <v Speaker 3>is because like it's pretty easy to stay in the <v Speaker 3>realm of Nintendo with things because you can, if you <v Speaker 3>know it's Nintendo, you could just say like game Cube <v Speaker 3>and then hope that you get like that's true, true exactly. <v Speaker 1>It makes it easier. There are makes it easier. <v Speaker 2>That's what I'm saying. We just stick to the Nintendo, allright. <v Speaker 2>We might never find out who the imposter is. <v Speaker 1>Endless. <v Speaker 2>Okay, do you have the two characters? So I need <v Speaker 2>two characters? Yes, ramble for a second. Let me figure <v Speaker 2>this out, all right, we'll rambling again. So I got <v Speaker 2>Dave Rosalina at me about here. It's huge and it <v Speaker 2>is huge. It's really really how much is it? Like <v Speaker 2>forty bucks? <v Speaker 1>A real quick? It just reminded me. <v Speaker 2>You know, one thing that's kind of weird about the <v Speaker 2>Super Mario Galaxy movie is that how come Rosalina was <v Speaker 2>like normal size compared to like everyone else? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, because he's usually like pretty mass. Like in the game, <v Speaker 3>she is like twice as time her, you know, yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 3>oh yeah, I didn't even think about that. <v Speaker 1>That's a good point. Oh that's really cool. Inside. <v Speaker 3>I don't think I'm able to see it on camera, <v Speaker 3>but there's actually a picture from the story book that's <v Speaker 3>also Indian. <v Speaker 2>Yea, that's really cool. If you hold it up, I <v Speaker 2>can zoom in. You're supposed to be thinking of characters, <v Speaker 2>but I think I've got one. <v Speaker 3>You see you see it right there? Yeah, it's like <v Speaker 3>right there, it's the uh I remember what page it is. <v Speaker 3>It's one of the pages from the first Galaxy game. <v Speaker 3>But that's pretty cool, is it? <v Speaker 1>Here? Can I see? Oh? Yeah, you see it now? <v Speaker 1>She's holding the LOOMO. I don't know why I remembered <v Speaker 1>the gun being like less uh toy, but I found <v Speaker 1>it finally. Okay, I don't know why I'm showing you this, <v Speaker 1>but Kim and I watched this and laugh sometimes. Can <v Speaker 1>you bring my screen up? Wasn't he like a brown bear? <v Speaker 1>That's when that's Vinnie Pool. This this came from Russia. <v Speaker 1>It's such a weird thing to want. Yeah, she just <v Speaker 1>looks like it looks like Tom Nook almost piglet. It's <v Speaker 1>just a colt gun. I don't know why. I remember <v Speaker 1>it being like I remember it being a rifle. <v Speaker 2>Like. <v Speaker 1>Okay, all right, so you got three characters. All right, <v Speaker 1>what a phrase? Now? <v Speaker 3>Now I need you to pick who the impostor is <v Speaker 3>in your mind and don't tell us. And whenever you <v Speaker 3>give the impostor that their character, their impostor character, you <v Speaker 3>should tell them they're the impostor, right. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, so the impostor needs to know that the impostor. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>so they could try. <v Speaker 1>To like, okay, okay, so pick you're do you have <v Speaker 1>someone in the mind for the impostor? <v Speaker 2>You four? <v Speaker 1>Yes? What is that he picked somebody? But answer is yes, <v Speaker 1>give them one of the characters and let them know <v Speaker 1>they're the impostor and give the other three people the <v Speaker 1>other character. <v Speaker 2>How do I tell them without everyone knowing? Walk into <v Speaker 2>the room. I'm coming in there, you go in, he's <v Speaker 2>going out. I'm going out to start start, come out. <v Speaker 1>That's even better. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, so convoluted to write them on a note and <v Speaker 3>then everybody has make sure your MIC's not on as well, <v Speaker 3>and you out whispering things. <v Speaker 2>And then I tell the tell them the character and <v Speaker 2>if they're the imposter or not, yes, but don't not <v Speaker 2>with your mic on of course, and whisper it. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>it'd be as quiet as possible. Somehow picks up. I <v Speaker 2>know Bendy's trying to cheat. You know, I'm all about cheating. <v Speaker 2>I gotta pay really bad. I'm sorry, that's okay, I'm oh, yeah, <v Speaker 2>no problem. It's a fun visit. Ye want we want <v Speaker 2>a hot bowl of water? <v Speaker 1>Hot bowl? Oh am, I gonna do the I was <v Speaker 1>telling you the cold bowl of water. <v Speaker 2>Of all the people I've had on the show, you <v Speaker 2>were the easiest, one of the easiest to just sit <v Speaker 2>down and do the show with, because you just like <v Speaker 2>you just fit in with the vibe and and just <v Speaker 2>talk about the stuff and you know what you're talking about. <v Speaker 3>It's really it makes it really a little bit chronically online. Well, well, <v Speaker 3>I was just asking a question yeah, you want to <v Speaker 3>know my actual thoughts since we're just kind of waiting. Sure, <v Speaker 3>it's a good video game. Yeah right, that's right. <v Speaker 1>I said it. <v Speaker 3>It's a good video game. So that wasn't going to <v Speaker 3>be my question. By the way, what was what was <v Speaker 3>the question? I don't remember now because it was a <v Speaker 3>month ago, but it was like it was a lead in. <v Speaker 3>It was like you played Donkey Kong right like, and <v Speaker 3>then they would say yes, and then I would go, <v Speaker 3>so you remember when? <v Speaker 1>But I never got there because he just goes like <v Speaker 1>Donkey Kong, I'm the Nintendo guy that was. <v Speaker 3>That was very interesting to watch because I didn't know <v Speaker 3>if there was like something wrong or that wasn't sure. <v Speaker 3>I talked to him a couple of days later and <v Speaker 3>he was like, everything was okay. He apologized so many times, <v Speaker 3>he didn't mean to do that. It was an actual <v Speaker 3>we're talking about Scott. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>We were like at dinner that night and he was like, <v Speaker 3>do you think I was being too sarcastic? I was like, <v Speaker 3>maybe maybe a little bit. <v Speaker 2>Maybe I I figured he was, but I honestly couldn't <v Speaker 2>tell him like maybe something like did happen because he <v Speaker 2>never really acts like that. <v Speaker 3>Like when he's doing things like this so weet, and <v Speaker 3>I was saying this, I was saying this to everybody. <v Speaker 3>It's like, we hung out the whole day and we <v Speaker 3>had a great time and we were talking and we <v Speaker 3>were like gabbing it up the whole time. And then <v Speaker 3>we got to the show and we kind of already <v Speaker 3>talked about everything, and we'd already talked about Donkey Kong <v Speaker 3>and stuff, but now I had to like have the <v Speaker 3>conversation again. And I kept telling him to the dam, <v Speaker 3>I like we should stop talking, and He's like, I <v Speaker 3>could talk all day. He kept saying I could talk <v Speaker 3>all day. And then when I was talking to him <v Speaker 3>about it here, he was like, I just don't like <v Speaker 3>talking about all the stuff that that I talk about <v Speaker 3>all the time. I'm like, but we talked about it <v Speaker 3>today and we had a good time talking about it, <v Speaker 3>And what else do you want to talk about because <v Speaker 3>we're here, so we just had I don't know we <v Speaker 3>he I guess he was doing a bit and he <v Speaker 3>told me he was doing a bit and he was like, <v Speaker 3>I'm sorry that I did a bit and I was like, <v Speaker 3>it's fine, don't worry. <v Speaker 1>Who's next. <v Speaker 3>But then but then people thought that he hated me, <v Speaker 3>so he doesn't. Okay, on that note, I'm going to leave. <v Speaker 3>It's also like the second time he's done the show <v Speaker 3>and and we talk all the time. <v Speaker 1>Las Scot, come back, Let's let's do it again. <v Speaker 3>When everything happened with my friend, Billy was one of <v Speaker 3>the fresh people that called me to check up on me, <v Speaker 3>and we had like a two hours to talk about everything. <v Speaker 1>Dude, Scott, have Scott back on, Have James back on. <v Speaker 2>She's so long out there because I had to explain <v Speaker 2>to read the game because he was confused a little bit. <v Speaker 1>He doesn't need to know. We just need to do <v Speaker 1>but I was. I was explaining it to him because <v Speaker 1>we had some questions. That's fair enough. Finally we were <v Speaker 1>taking over the stream. What are we going to do? Back? Guys, <v Speaker 1>what's going on in let's let's let's play some games games? <v Speaker 1>What are we gonna play tennis games? That was fast. <v Speaker 1>We were ready to take over your podcast. <v Speaker 3>It's not all right, okay, So we all have characters. <v Speaker 3>One of us knows that we are the imposta. Ye, <v Speaker 3>we're all going to go around the room and saying <v Speaker 3>a word that relates to character. Our character and I'm <v Speaker 3>going to figure out who doesn't actually know who the <v Speaker 3>character is, who wants to go feesh, I I think <v Speaker 3>you should start for sure, let's go. <v Speaker 1>M hmm. <v Speaker 3>Now I'm trying to think like we need music with <v Speaker 3>this too. I'm trying to think nice and and cryptically <v Speaker 3>here and not give it away. Yeah, okay, okay, I <v Speaker 3>got a word for mine. <v Speaker 1>Hmm. I don't want to I'm freaking out already. Hold on, <v Speaker 1>mm hmm. You might be. I got a word. <v Speaker 3>No, no, no, no, yes, Actually, because I'm here, I <v Speaker 3>got my eye on you. Okay, all right, I'm gonna <v Speaker 3>go with chocolate. Chocolate. That's the word. <v Speaker 1>Okay, I guess like a second chocolate, Okay, chocolate. Okay, Brenton, <v Speaker 1>what have you done? I'm confused already. <v Speaker 3>Got sha alright here, go ahead, go ahead, okay, mm hm, <v Speaker 3>take a word that's for me for a loop there, <v Speaker 3>I'm throwing for a loop as well. <v Speaker 1>You might be the imposter band. <v Speaker 2>That Yeah, that's that just said a word, okay, chocolate. <v Speaker 2>I was struggling to think of a word that didn't <v Speaker 2>give it away. Sports sports, sports, Yes, you want not <v Speaker 2>the impostor. I can feel it in my heart, this <v Speaker 2>is gonna be easy. Then that's a good one. That <v Speaker 2>was a good one. <v Speaker 1>Mmm, because. <v Speaker 3>I can already tell it is hard to say something <v Speaker 3>and not give it away, but I am interested. I <v Speaker 3>don't think it's night right now? <v Speaker 2>Underdog? All right, mister chucolate, we're looking at you dog, <v Speaker 2>no way rope. Okay, So if you're the impostor, I <v Speaker 2>know who it is. <v Speaker 1>I know who it is. I gotta think of another word. <v Speaker 3>Let me see, going first was wild bandy. I don't know, Okay, gosh, <v Speaker 3>I don't know what word to go with now, Okay, <v Speaker 3>I'm gonna go o. Oh my gosh, I don't know. <v Speaker 3>I can't think of a word right now, Oh my god. <v Speaker 3>Like I can't think of plenty of words, but I <v Speaker 3>can't think of something that. <v Speaker 1>Like, at what point they? <v Speaker 3>What point do we accuse? Because whenever we accused the <v Speaker 3>game that I'm at the point what even if it's obvious, <v Speaker 3>I need you to say. Okay, I'm gonna say, I'm <v Speaker 3>gonna say glove. <v Speaker 1>That's my word. <v Speaker 2>Okay, Okay, okay, okay, okay, Now you gotta say something, brokay, <v Speaker 2>I gotta I. <v Speaker 1>Gotta glove okay. Mm hm h mm hmm. <v Speaker 2>Promise Okay, you got h If got that, he'd be <v Speaker 2>a genius. That's that's the same of. <v Speaker 1>Oh man, anything anything, Come on, bro, I'm getting suspicion. Okay, okay, <v Speaker 1>oh uh, oh my god. Something any arcade? Arcade? Okay, <v Speaker 1>I feel that focus on focus? How's it? Focus? Focus? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 1>I think that is yours are super super vague. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's a little well because I'm I know, I <v Speaker 2>suppose because he's the impostor. <v Speaker 1>That's why. What was his first word? Fe or his <v Speaker 1>underdog words? Yeah? <v Speaker 2>Sports, that is a little vague underdog but chocolates. Still <v Speaker 2>throwing me on? What's your next word? Just like you? Why? <v Speaker 1>Wait did you just say one? Focus? Focus? What was <v Speaker 1>your your first word? Again? You said rope? Rope? <v Speaker 3>Okay, I'm gonna do a wacky here. Okay, think about it. <v Speaker 3>People that know what I'm doing here. Mm hmmm mmmm <v Speaker 3>Wait if I say that, it might give it away. <v Speaker 1>Just do it no, because the word is in it. <v Speaker 1>I thought I had a really clever one, but the <v Speaker 1>word is in it. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, now I'm going to give that one away. I <v Speaker 2>hadn't really, I promise I had a good one, but <v Speaker 2>it would have given it away. <v Speaker 1>M Mmmm, what do you got? <v Speaker 3>Okay, just off top of your head, Okay, can it <v Speaker 3>be someone's name that might give Okay, then, Michael J. Fox, <v Speaker 3>Michael J. Fox, I think you're saying. <v Speaker 1>I know what he's saying. You know what I'm do. <v Speaker 1>You know what I'm saying. I think so. <v Speaker 3>I'm pretty sure you're the impost. I think it's here solely, <v Speaker 3>that's what the impost would say. <v Speaker 1>It's not me. I was trying to go for a <v Speaker 1>very wild one. Can I can? <v Speaker 2>I can I explain it? I think I understand the reference. Okay, <v Speaker 2>I'm not that familiar with it. Might be it's a <v Speaker 2>role he's played. It's a role he's played. Okay, go ahead, Brandy, <v Speaker 2>what you got? All right, I'm gonna go with short, short, <v Speaker 2>just short, that's okay. <v Speaker 1>You know I was convinced it was you. Now I <v Speaker 1>think I don't have it was Bandy's like high level? <v Speaker 2>What if? What if Brenton messed up and we all <v Speaker 2>know he's the imposter imposter I'm a using him. Okay, <v Speaker 2>go ahead, give us something, all right? <v Speaker 1>What you said? Sure? Okay? Loud? <v Speaker 2>Okay, I think yeah? I think can we can we <v Speaker 2>do accusing. Now, No, that'd be too weak. Guys, Let's <v Speaker 2>go through one more because I'm. <v Speaker 1>Thinking of stamina. Okay, yeah, You're you're safe now, I <v Speaker 1>told you brother, all right, what do you got? <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna I'm gonna tie it back into my previous <v Speaker 2>one so it makes more sense. And I'm gonna say <v Speaker 2>mouse mouse, Yes, Michael J. <v Speaker 3>Fox Mouse. Come on, you'll have to explain this to <v Speaker 3>me after you. I just think I'm not that familiar <v Speaker 3>with the character in my head. Yeah, okay, I'm gonna <v Speaker 3>go glass glass, just the word glass. Some glass has <v Speaker 3>thrown me. I don't know what you got. <v Speaker 1>I gotta go. I'll tell you that one. Oh h glass. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>you're throwing me off here. Man, I don't like this. <v Speaker 1>Like three have three? You should know what to talk about? <v Speaker 2>Night, give us one more. I'm thinking he's been struggling <v Speaker 2>the most to think of something. Yeah, I think it's <v Speaker 2>late at this point. He should have something. Yea, I'm <v Speaker 2>one night. It should be easy. Is eating chocolate? <v Speaker 1>Brother? You said chocolate. I have to explain that. <v Speaker 3>I kind of want to play this again. I kind <v Speaker 3>of want to play it again. I will close chat <v Speaker 3>and I think chat should know you know what it is? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean Chats would have gotten it. That's okay. <v Speaker 3>Anything yep, yep, you gotta say, gotta say stuff anything, <v Speaker 3>off your head, off the dom. <v Speaker 1>It's it's literally, it's he's got nothing to meccuse him. Now. <v Speaker 3>I don't like how eager you ought to accuse him, <v Speaker 3>because I know you're wrong, but I feel like I'm not. <v Speaker 1>I could be wrong. <v Speaker 3>I just say the most obvious thing possible for this character. Okay, uh, <v Speaker 3>even if it gives it away pink. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, okay, it's so we all agree that it's nice. <v Speaker 1>I'm ving for night for me? <v Speaker 2>Yea? <v Speaker 3>Did we do we say it? Or do did Brenton <v Speaker 3>say it? You should just Brenton? Who's the imposta? Oh <v Speaker 3>I'm sorry Night? I actually think he has pink gloves? Yeah, <v Speaker 3>so that that actually wasn't that bad act? Can I <v Speaker 3>explain the chocolate? <v Speaker 1>Who is the guy? Who is the guy? I don't <v Speaker 1>know how how you guys don't know that? <v Speaker 2>Like Little Mac loves Chalcols. <v Speaker 1>Who are you told it's not a little I'm an idiot, <v Speaker 1>it's a trainer o pink? <v Speaker 2>Well yeah, but no, little I said, little thought Little <v Speaker 2>Mac like constantly eat I had, I had uh wall, <v Speaker 2>So when you said short, I'm like, funk, I can't. <v Speaker 1>If we should do it where the imposture doesn't know <v Speaker 1>they're an impostor and they start to that. <v Speaker 2>That might be better when Netflix does that might be better? Yeah, <v Speaker 2>so we could we all fully and by the way, <v Speaker 2>Michael J. Fox Mouse do it little yeah. <v Speaker 1>Really, underdog, I see it. Where's rope coming? Rope? You <v Speaker 1>know what you said? I'm like, I said what I say? <v Speaker 1>I said, uh oh, what did I say? <v Speaker 3>I said, okay, because I was thinking that it's so <v Speaker 3>funny you said pink and we were like, yeah, we <v Speaker 3>already knew even though pink made sense. <v Speaker 1>Do you want to play it again? Or is that <v Speaker 1>I think we could do, like maybe one more. <v Speaker 3>I'll close my laptop and then everyone put that things away, <v Speaker 3>and I think he should say what the character is <v Speaker 3>in like Brenton should type it in chat? <v Speaker 1>Okay, so the chat can play along. We're closing the chat. <v Speaker 1>Good luck, all right, no cheating, no cheating, all right? <v Speaker 1>Brent thinking two more characters? Okay, that was fun. That <v Speaker 1>was good. That Yeah, yeah, I think you're not supposed <v Speaker 1>to know you're the impostor. <v Speaker 3>And I think that makes sense because then once you <v Speaker 3>say something and I know that I'm the wrong one, <v Speaker 3>I'm trying to think, how can I relate that to <v Speaker 3>whatever you just said. I just feel like it's yeah, <v Speaker 3>that's got to be so much harder for the impostor then, <v Speaker 3>because they have to think around. But why else would <v Speaker 3>they have a character unless they think it's the character? <v Speaker 1>Well? <v Speaker 2>How about yeah, like so Red should give everyone a name, <v Speaker 2>but he doesn't let the person like, he doesn't let <v Speaker 2>anyone know if they're safe for impostor like we should. <v Speaker 3>No one should know what that character is right the <v Speaker 3>whole time. And then yeah, okay, that makes sense. And <v Speaker 3>then at some point someone's gonna realize. <v Speaker 2>That, oh I'm different, and then I'm the impost and <v Speaker 2>then you got to try to Yeah, okay, let's try <v Speaker 2>that one. <v Speaker 1>Are you ready read I've got two characters. I don't <v Speaker 1>tell anyone who's the imposter. Don't tell anyone, just give <v Speaker 1>them random characters. All right? Wait? Why are you out <v Speaker 1>here first? He's not allowed to come out here first? <v Speaker 1>I guess I forget to mute the microphone. Yea couple <v Speaker 1>with a different word. Now, did you hear it. I didn't. <v Speaker 1>I heard them whisper. I didn't hear anything. <v Speaker 2>I didn't hear it. <v Speaker 3>It's gonna be interesting too, Like I think this new <v Speaker 3>rule is gonna make it a lot more interesting. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>it'll work a little bit better. We need to make <v Speaker 3>clips of this too. Yeah, a good idea. Whoa, it's <v Speaker 3>a good thing. <v Speaker 2>That was? <v Speaker 1>That was empty? Empty? I feel like I should talk more. <v Speaker 1>I don't know. I'm tired, to be honest. Oh I <v Speaker 1>went to packs? Oh yeah, how was packed? I didn't <v Speaker 1>get a chance to go this year? It was good? <v Speaker 1>Can you camera kind of you're busy out there, but <v Speaker 1>can you camera one? Sorry? Yeah, I went to packs. <v Speaker 1>It was It was fun. I had a lot of fun. <v Speaker 1>Bub You should go. I have gone packs and I will. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>that's what I'm married. He's going now, he's going to packs. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>The indie scene wasn't as fun as good as some <v Speaker 2>other years. Has it been like taken over more by <v Speaker 2>like tabletop stuff? <v Speaker 3>No, it was just I feel like, well, I don't <v Speaker 3>have time to talk about it in the bonus maybe <v Speaker 3>bonus and now we have the podcast. <v Speaker 1>You guys been to packs? Yeah? I used to go <v Speaker 1>every year. <v Speaker 2>From like twenty twelve to like twenty fifteen or twenty Okay, <v Speaker 2>I went to I went to West for the first time. <v Speaker 2>Actually have kind of a fun story. Packs Prime, What <v Speaker 2>Packs Prime, No Packs West? Well, it was Pack's Prime <v Speaker 2>before it became that. Yeah, okay, that's cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Well, anyway I was going to say was that I <v Speaker 3>went to this party. When I was there and I <v Speaker 3>met Logan Plant, he's the Nintendo IGN review. Oh yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 3>that was really cool. I'm like, I'm friends with that guy. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, you did a video with him? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, when Brothership came out and we were talking a <v Speaker 3>little bit, and I think at some point I'm going <v Speaker 3>to be doing a video with him. Okay, so yeah <v Speaker 3>that would be really cool. I like, yeah, he seems <v Speaker 3>like a nice guy. It's a very matter of fact. <v Speaker 3>We got our character right, yes, closed, and tell the <v Speaker 3>chat who's the impostor? <v Speaker 1>Yes? The character correct? Yes? Right right, everybody's character down. <v Speaker 1>That's a good way. Why is that open? I mean, <v Speaker 1>it's just the stream cheating. Who wants to go first? <v Speaker 1>Now none of us know who the impost Let's go <v Speaker 1>reverse reverse start with me. Okay, mm hmmm mmm. <v Speaker 2>Blooded old blooded, Yes, okay, okay, uh, Cake, okay, okay, <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna go. <v Speaker 1>I'm gonna go. You know what, Let's do round round. <v Speaker 1>I like that one, thank you, that's ad one. <v Speaker 2>Uh. <v Speaker 1>The first thing that came to my mind was Survivor. <v Speaker 3>Say, I'm pretty sure me and might have the same <v Speaker 3>I think we're on the same way. <v Speaker 1>We got to figure out who's here, all right, So <v Speaker 1>that means what did you say? Cake? And I said round? Okay, <v Speaker 1>I like yours. You don't see mine. <v Speaker 3>I could hear it, and I see it. I can <v Speaker 3>technically see it. Yeah, okay, it's just very very vague. <v Speaker 3>I'm most suspicious of Sully. But let's go back to <v Speaker 3>sell here, all right. Mm let's see. <v Speaker 1>This game is really fun but terrible for dead Air. <v Speaker 3>I'm like, I'm trying to fill the time out. It's <v Speaker 3>just nature. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, something about it? <v Speaker 2>Small Okay, okay, I feel like you might be I <v Speaker 2>think and then we got them. <v Speaker 1>No, I think it's you. Potentially, we'll see see what <v Speaker 1>that's wild because I thought mine was obvious. <v Speaker 3>Maybe Survivor friends, it's so you and I could feel it. <v Speaker 3>We'll see, we'll see I say friends, friends, friends, okay, friends, okay, okay, <v Speaker 3>I'm trying to think another word. Let me see mm <v Speaker 3>hmm o the air for like ten seconds. I need <v Speaker 3>a little bit a couple no, no, no, no no, <v Speaker 3>I need a couple more. <v Speaker 1>To think about it. It's a hard game. I like it. <v Speaker 3>I liked round. Yeah, small, I think was clutch save. <v Speaker 3>That was a bit of a save, I think. But <v Speaker 3>if it's truly would though, that's the thing that's off, <v Speaker 3>would say mine was so survivor extremely obvious, if you know, <v Speaker 3>I actually I'm okay, I have a word now. I <v Speaker 3>know this is very vague, but I'm just gonna go <v Speaker 3>with ours. Mm hm okay, like it's super big. I <v Speaker 3>can't think it's not that vague. That's that's that sounds <v Speaker 3>about right? Hmmm, what do you got? <v Speaker 1>I almost want to say something obvious, even more obvious, <v Speaker 1>and to get you off my back. Okay, simple, Okay, <v Speaker 1>I think it's Sully. It uh, let's see hoverboards. Oh <v Speaker 1>it's Sully me. Yeah, I think you're I think you're <v Speaker 1>a foster. I don't even. <v Speaker 2>Hold on. <v Speaker 1>I don't hate that one. I don't either. I would. <v Speaker 3>I know I'm the impost I'm not saying that might <v Speaker 3>be it doesn't really fit with mine. I don't think <v Speaker 3>it fits with either of ours based off of the <v Speaker 3>words that have already been said. <v Speaker 1>So you might be the post Maybe we're on the <v Speaker 1>same team and he's the one with the going out. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 1>I don't know about that because that's the only one <v Speaker 1>you said. <v Speaker 2>That I like because see Red didn't tell us all like, <v Speaker 2>he didn't tell anyone who the impostor is. <v Speaker 1>So oh, actually, you know what, now that I think <v Speaker 1>about it more, I am you know you're right? Okay. <v Speaker 1>It took me a second to get they and remind <v Speaker 1>remember I just saved him. Why would I do that? <v Speaker 1>I just you guys on me. You guys have it <v Speaker 1>in your head it's me, but. <v Speaker 2>Not me. I'm still I can't be logically, cannot be. Okay, <v Speaker 2>one more, uh oh powerful, it's not you. Yeah, I <v Speaker 2>don't think it's you either. I'm pretty sure it's not. <v Speaker 1>Hmm, what you got? Okay, what you got? BIG's gonna <v Speaker 1>go with suck? Of course I know. I of course, <v Speaker 1>of course I was gonna use that one. <v Speaker 2>Bro. It's no, it's not wait to go go and <v Speaker 2>I'll give you a word you unless you figured it out. <v Speaker 2>Unless yeah, okay, my trick. You go, and then I'll <v Speaker 2>give you my word. I need to hear a couple <v Speaker 2>more I need to hear a couple more words. You <v Speaker 2>need a couple more words. <v Speaker 3>I feel like it was just gaming it away. Now <v Speaker 3>it was kind of obvious that was that was, but <v Speaker 3>that was what he Hoverbarn was good. Hoverboard was a <v Speaker 3>good one. It was a great one. <v Speaker 1>Bro, it wasn't. <v Speaker 3>The thing is it wasn't obvious right away though it was. <v Speaker 3>I'm on Bro twenty twenty five. Okay, okay, Well now <v Speaker 3>now I'm thinking it's definitely not you. You said the year. <v Speaker 3>Come on, brother, all right, we need another word from <v Speaker 3>new go ahead. <v Speaker 1>I'm soad. Why did you say? <v Speaker 3>I feel like you figured it out at some point <v Speaker 3>and you're you're on board with everybody. <v Speaker 1>I think, I like, no, that might be a possibility. <v Speaker 1>There's still a couple of people in my mind. I <v Speaker 1>think it is. But what do you got? Would? What <v Speaker 1>do I have? I think? <v Speaker 2>Mmm? <v Speaker 1>Don don hm hmmm. I have a funny one because <v Speaker 1>it's what's here? No, because it gives it away, but <v Speaker 1>it's a cool back joke. Uh uh, what do you got? God? God? God? <v Speaker 2>I think I know what you're talking about, bro, I'm <v Speaker 2>getting your reference. Hammer m hm, I don't know. I <v Speaker 2>think I think Hubbaboard was clutch hammer works. <v Speaker 1>We got to think about it. Think about that without <v Speaker 1>giving it away. Oh, I got a word to be done. <v Speaker 3>I'm trying to think, um anything where we all dance. Okay, <v Speaker 3>so my my word is versatile. Versatile. I understand that reference. Okay, <v Speaker 3>maybe it is you. I'm still My first word was survivor. <v Speaker 3>I want to remind you. <v Speaker 1>I know that doesn't I don't think we've all said <v Speaker 1>some really good ones. Yeah, we'll just have to see. <v Speaker 1>Do you not know what survivor means in this context? <v Speaker 1>I guess I don't. I know what it means. We'll <v Speaker 1>find out in a little bit. Think of something that <v Speaker 1>relates to survivor in the context that I meant it, <v Speaker 1>and if you can say it next, I'm going to <v Speaker 1>vote for him. Otherwise it's you that's like the ok <v Speaker 1>I definitely have the same one. <v Speaker 3>And I'm going to say, and I'm going to tie <v Speaker 3>it into my survivor as well, and I'm going to say, <v Speaker 3>why are all these words so obvious? <v Speaker 2>Okay? I think I understand. I bet I can think <v Speaker 2>of one game. I know what game it is now, <v Speaker 2>and my word was revealed. <v Speaker 1>Now I don't know who it is. <v Speaker 2>What doesn't give it away that ties into the other <v Speaker 2>thing hand hand, of course, of course I like that <v Speaker 2>reference to go on word, my word is going to be. <v Speaker 1>Buffet. It's him. <v Speaker 2>No, I said ted, and you think it's night. Oh <v Speaker 2>you wanted me to tie. I was just given something different. <v Speaker 2>It's hard to come up with the word that well, okay, <v Speaker 2>all right, it's hard to come up with something on <v Speaker 2>the spot that one does work. <v Speaker 3>It does Wait should this be the last round of guesses? <v Speaker 3>I feel like I'm ready and I feel like he <v Speaker 3>figured it out at some point. <v Speaker 1>Okay, so on more and more? Last one? Should we <v Speaker 1>do one more? Should we start voting one? <v Speaker 3>Okay, I feel like he's already gone, so the three <v Speaker 3>of us. But I don't think it mat is too <v Speaker 3>much figured it out robot yep. <v Speaker 1>Oh I like that one. Okay, I'm gonna go yep. <v Speaker 1>I like that one to brother all right. <v Speaker 3>To survivor was smash yep. I think he figured it <v Speaker 3>out at some point. Wait, so who's the vote? <v Speaker 1>So who you're voting for? <v Speaker 2>I'm voting I'm voting for. I think it's so you're <v Speaker 2>voting for Bendy, you're voting for what who are you <v Speaker 2>voting for? It was gonna be you, but I gotta <v Speaker 2>GOE for Bandy. You're voting for Bandy. Well, boys, one <v Speaker 2>of you. <v Speaker 1>When did you figure it out? Suck No. <v Speaker 2>The moment you said survivor, I'm like, smash reveal. As <v Speaker 2>soon as you said that, I'm like, okay, so I'm <v Speaker 2>trying to think deeply, what could it be. I came <v Speaker 2>in because Kirby d I was surprised you didn't get <v Speaker 2>it right away? Get it right away? No, that's why <v Speaker 2>you guys kept going. I'm like, yes, I secured that <v Speaker 2>was just like the character in my head. I'm like, <v Speaker 2>he doesn't write a because what I had was bowser. <v Speaker 2>That's what Red gave me. What was the first thing <v Speaker 2>you said? I said, uh, cold blood, cold blood? <v Speaker 1>We get it. <v Speaker 3>Right away, said hob a blood. And I was like <v Speaker 3>that's such a good one. Yeah, that's because I already <v Speaker 3>figured it out. Wait, but maybe, like I'm thinking, because <v Speaker 3>when he said cold blood, I'm thinking, oh wait, yeah, <v Speaker 3>maybe Kirby's cold blood because he just sucks everything around it. <v Speaker 1>That's what I was thinking could be that. <v Speaker 3>No, I thought maybe it was just that like he <v Speaker 3>is like a he's so a p He's like god, <v Speaker 3>he's just he was just like eat everything, do everything. <v Speaker 1>He's cold blood. I got that. And then when you <v Speaker 1>said Robot, I'm like, you mean a planet ro I said, <v Speaker 1>which is the game that came out? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, when he said Survivor, I was like, Okay, I <v Speaker 3>think that's that's on the same wave. I thought that <v Speaker 3>was that was I didn't get that till like five <v Speaker 3>minutes later. I get that if you knew the character, <v Speaker 3>but the fact that you got it on that like, <v Speaker 3>I didn't know. But I feel like I ruined the <v Speaker 3>game by giving that away. <v Speaker 1>Survived. <v Speaker 2>I feel like you were giving the most cryptic best <v Speaker 2>hints you got it though, I know, but it's because <v Speaker 2>I'm like, you're thinking really deep. <v Speaker 1>So I have to think as deep as you get. <v Speaker 1>Did you get it? Because probably the second time we went. <v Speaker 3>Ok because remember we said I said cake, you said round. <v Speaker 3>I feel like that would have given it away instantly. No. <v Speaker 2>No, So when you said cake and you said round, <v Speaker 2>I was like, it can't be Curby. That was what <v Speaker 2>first came to my mind, but I was so doubtful <v Speaker 2>the moment. What said survivor and he said think about it. <v Speaker 2>I'm like, oh, he's the one that survived. Your body <v Speaker 2>language was also a giveaway because you were just excusing <v Speaker 2>everybody every point and I get the reference. <v Speaker 3>I get the reference, and I still I still sorry. <v Speaker 3>I'm sorry, that's okay, congratulations the soul. No thank you <v Speaker 3>accusing me, which is making okay, making me defensive of you. <v Speaker 2>I was. <v Speaker 3>I was like confused about Survivor for like forever. If <v Speaker 3>I got that right away, then I would have been <v Speaker 3>Sully the whole time. Yeah, yeah, all right, that was fun. <v Speaker 3>I want to play that again.
