0:00 welcome back to another episode of catching up with Katie so today we are going to do some questions from Facebook 0:06 and Instagram and YouTube from y'all some of you have just given us some topics we did ask for nonanimal topics 0:14 for this video um but then we just you know we like to catch up on what's going on with the farm which this past week 0:20 was very sad unfortunately um we did kick off cing season and we had you know 0:28 lots of babies which youall will be seeing here here on YouTube but we also had a loss um of bubbles so bubbles is 0:35 one of my goats she is my second goat ever actually so she's like one of the ogs 0:42 and not quite sure what has happened quite yet because we did take take her 0:47 for a necropsy um to have her diagnosed to see what happened in case it is 0:53 something that I could have prevented or you know I can take measures for my other goats um that I could learn from 1:00 or it might give me a little peace of mind if it was something that I couldn't have prevented so we are really really 1:06 sad about that that was yesterday and honestly I'm cried out so we're not going to harp on that too much in this 1:12 video but that's pretty much the significant thing that happened this week 1:17 unfortunately nothing else I mean we did ixie we took the Mayors and did ixie 1:22 Ginger came home from the vet all is well with that um yeah I think that's 1:28 that's the big thing a lot of people a lot of the same questions were about like your makeup and your hair so for 1:35 the first part you can just say like what products you use what products are your favorite kind of like why your hair 1:42 looks so good my hair so I have it slicked back today with a product called 1:48 oil from my scalp um from not washing it for 8 days so if you thought that I had 1:54 purposefully slicked it back um thank you and hold on to that keep thinking 1:59 that we uh we've just been so busy the last few days that I've meant to have my hair 2:06 done so many times this week and it just never happened but it will get washed tonight cuz the cattle sale is this 2:12 weekend and we have the dinner tomorrow and all that good stuff so but generally 2:18 I mean I feel like I used to be a lot more high maintenance than I am now um 2:24 when I was learning like my makeup style and learning about what products to use 2:30 and things like that it was in that 2014 like matte full coverage era the 2:38 square eyebrows the square eyebrows like the triangle of of concealer uh baking 2:46 like and it was kind of okay I don't like to look back at Super up close pictures but it was like my eyebrows 2:54 were definitely like blocky but they never went super thick which was good 3:00 um I kind of got away with it because I was 20 you know not 28 and so being 18 3:08 to 20 when I was learning all that you know I don't have like a single eye 3:13 crease and so when I baked and like had all this baking meaning you took powder 3:18 and like just smashed it into your face um it didn't look as like Creasy and and 3:25 thick I I keep catching him like doing his little to the to the camera to the 3:30 Nate cam the Nate cam just in case the Nate cam um so we do want to do a video 3:37 soon where I do your makeup while we're talking and I won't do 2014 makeup I'll 3:42 do like 2024 glam makeup but okay um cuz 3:47 I feel like I have evolved in a better form so like today for example and like 3:53 I feel like what I'm wearing today is a good example of what I like if I do my makeup on a daily basis now this is what 3:58 I do and it is so much less than it used to be yeah I used to you know do every step every day and 4:05 have a full face of makeup every single day beat and that's not bad it's just that was what I really enjoyed doing 4:12 back then but now like I very much more focus on having like my actual skin 4:18 looking better versus just covering it with full found full coverage foundation and luckily like my hormones in my you 4:25 know later 20s have evened out so I don't have as much acne as I used to um so I can get away with stuff but um 4:33 generally like today I have pixie blush on top of 4:40 moisturizer uh I took a little bit of milk uh bronzer and did it like right 4:46 here and right here little on my nose I use the like I just use the same products all the time now instead of 4:53 having like a variety that I'm having to get the whatever's new out like I just I know what I like I have the Anastasia 4:59 Brow Wiz brows um I like the Fenty fly liner for my liner I do drugstore lashes these 5:06 days I mean every now and then I'll treat myself to some Lily lashes but generally like some ardell's or you know 5:14 like just wispy lashes um trying to think like I really like the Nyx juicy 5:21 you know lip stuff I don't really like matte anymore um I feel like in my also later 20s 5:28 versus early 20s I don't really care as much about the name brand if it's like a good product I used to want like 5:33 whatever was the newest thing and whatever you know and some of my products are nice and then some of them 5:40 are drugstore it's like a very good mix um like my go-to base 5:45 for my skin for having it look nice and like hydrated is the Bobbi Brown face 5:52 base and the grillon gold those are both very expensive things but they last a 5:58 freaking long time and I feel like I've cut down on like what else I use you know like I don't like I don't have on 6:03 any concealer or Foundation right now and I feel like it looks pretty 6:09 decent ites it looks good you have good skin thank you you want to cut it off 6:15 and wear it yes I don't have great skin but leather 6:25 face actually you know what we should do we should do makeup for the video Nate should do our 6:32 makeup cuz you remember Nate said he he kind of knows how to do makeup he says he knows how to do makeup and he can't 6:39 do eyeliner though one gu he was like I have to have all of these tools in my 6:44 belt because if I'm producing a movie or a video and the girl comes in and she 6:49 doesn't look good you think I can't fix it for her I well I can but not the to 6:56 be fair the eyeliner that we had to shoot that video was a blunt crayon it 7:02 it was I us to uh liquid okay so well I 7:07 think we had both but um I'm pretty sure you brought a liquid liner it was dried out that was Macy's yeah I lost 7:15 it sorry I think he's lying I don't think he actually knows how to do makeup 7:20 and he just has to be good at everything so I do know I know okay we might have 7:26 to test that out maybe I do your makeup and and he does my makeup now in that video I'm not as good as you that's for 7:34 certain but I'm better than you might think I would be I thought you were going to say but 7:41 I'm better than you definitely better than Abigail okay 7:47 I will say I feel like you started doing a little bit more this past year because 7:52 I remember when we first met and we went to Congress like a month after meeting 7:58 and we were there for 5 days together in a hotel room um cuz I was like oh shoot 8:04 the one thing I forgot was my setting powder and you're like I just got my first setting powder ever and it was 8:09 terrible it was but but I you know like I feel like you 8:14 didn't really wear a whole lot and you still don't wear you like you're the clean girl look yeah which I like it looks I don't do I think it just seems 8:22 like that cuz I don't do eye makeup I only do mascara yeah but you I 8:27 feel like now and I like it so so much better now the trend with makeup and I'm 8:33 like why were we not always doing this is to look like your like your skin to look like your radiant skin it's not 8:40 just creating a mask with full coverage everything and matte and like you know like that's what I am more focused on 8:47 these days than eye looks yeah I'll still throw on a little glitter every now and then on my eyes if we're doing 8:52 an actual full makeup look but generally speaking I just try to make my skin look better but that's also probably because 8:59 I'm 28 instead of 20 and so my skin doesn't naturally look amazing anymore and I have to it looks pretty good thank 9:07 you so what what skin care products do you use then you know honestly and this 9:14 is terrible I don't do anything these days I don't I barely wash my face right now 9:20 when I do I go through stages because I have a lot of tatcha stuff M 9:25 because I really like their moisturizer I really like their um cleansers and 9:31 stuff like that um it just feels very clean you know it doesn't feel very heavy or or like abrasive but I'm 9:39 terrible right now I go through phases I go through the phase where I do seven steps at night and then I go through 9:45 where I'm like I don't touch my face actually I use a Maybelline makeup wipe and call it a day so I'm in the not 9:52 doing anything phase unfortunately but I'm also eating better and drinking so much more water which I feel like is 10:00 yeah um well sponsored by 10:08 Stanley I wish Stan I'll get a free one that would 10:13 be nice if you want us up but but yeah I feel like that has a big part of it too is like I'm just so much more hydrated 10:19 and less inflamed by eating better because I've said this on Tik Tok so I'm 10:25 like 35ish pounds down right now from uh June and so that's helped out a lot with 10:31 my skin I think yeah just like like we ate pizza today for the first time and 10:37 forever because we got it for everybody down at the barn and I already feel it in my stomach it was so good not feeling 10:43 good it was so good I could eat more and I had three I had two pieces I had three 10:50 I had to kind of stop myself I was like she was good Katy it's good self-control yeah um so what about hair you didn't 10:58 really me honestly feel like the fact that I don't wash it very much is a part 11:06 of why it's looks good um I mean I wash it about once a week I would say that is 11:15 do you feel like if you averaged it out 11:21 over a year it'd be once a week cuz sometimes it's like you know I have a couple things going on I have to wash it 11:27 and then sometimes I go two weeks like it is what it is um people are going to think that's disgusting but I mean my 11:34 hair is so long and thick that when you see it on top of my head 11:40 and a bun we're over a week like there's no way we're under a week when I'm doing 11:46 that um which has been like this entire week we're going on like a 11:51 good I'm at a week and a half right now I'm at like 16 days oh dear I yours 11:59 never looks greasy of not washing your hair do you not taking a shower are you 12:06 serious no I was about to ask wait so y'all still take showers yes you don't 12:12 wash your hair every time you get in the shower no it's Castle well for me like it takes my my 12:20 slowest shower is 30 minutes because I wash my hair twice 12:25 I've learned I've learned with how thick my hair is and my specific scalp I have 12:31 to wash it twice I wash mine twice too yeah um and then I like to let my like 12:37 conditioner set and usually if I'm doing a hair wash I have like I do a mask but 12:42 I don't have to do a mask for my quickest shower but you know a hair mask or a face mask a hair mask what is that 12:49 like you get like I like to do hydrating masks so you put it on leave it on for like 15 minutes so it's just like 12:55 conditioner yeah but it's like a little little extra okay you do it 13:00 first so I like to do things like that it definitely needs like I've got some split ends going I definitely need to 13:06 get it trimmed um and we can get what the people think about my 13:12 idea yeah so when Jonathan first met me I was blonde like very very blonde I 13:19 don't think I want to go blonde blonde but I think it's time for a little Dimension like this is very close to my 13:26 natural color I kind of want to this is okay I don't want to sound like 13:32 that girl who's like my hair is just so healthy that it doesn't hold a curl but like honestly ever since I've gone back 13:39 to my natural color and not had any bleach in it and um very little heat use and stuff like that it is very healthy 13:47 and whenever I try to do my hair now it is very difficult it doesn't hold anything it is like I I I always end up 13:54 just straightening it because it's easier um so I kind of want to go do a 14:00 little Balayage or something like that uh mainly to damage it so that I can curl it 14:06 again I don't think that's a I don't think that's a bad thing uh cuz I do miss curling it and 14:12 like it doing big big hair and going into the winter cuz during the summer I 14:17 don't but during the winter like I like to do my hair and stuff so uh we might might might I have a little bleach in it 14:24 here soon I don't know do a little cut it it's like yeah my layers are gone would you do like the bangs not like 14:31 full bangs but like would you do more face frame I think I do some C some curtain 14:37 bangs um so I don't know I don't know when I'm going to do that but yeah I use 14:42 p uh pureology on my hair um but like I said I don't wash it 14:48 that often so my shampoo and conditioner last forever 14:53 um I don't do anything special I don't think I think hair is one of those things that's super genetic mhm 15:01 unfortunately it's just naturally just like how it is Perfect Skin perfect 15:08 hair I I I don't like to be like look how like knotted it is right now I pulled it out of a bun and threw it in 15:15 this nasty ponytail because I didn't want to have in a bun again and it just is like that 15:21 [Music] um it's just like that um I you know I 15:28 have a lot of of other things I struggle with like I struggle very heavily with weight and with other things with my 15:35 body image so I think I can have the hair it's fine but also yeah like like 15:41 the these issues like my hairline is pulling back probably from all these tight ponytails but maybe same receding 15:49 hairline pull the hat off oh no kidding it's not bad he's growing it 15:57 back out though I am growing it back out until like mullet yeah like party Nate 16:02 is coming back we're on the return it it could be a lot worse it could be worse 16:08 yeah I could I could be balding exactly which I'm not and you're 30 so that's 16:13 pretty impressive most yeah yeah yeah I think we're I think we're in it for the long haul but Jonathan's about to be 31 16:21 his is very much more receding versus balding yeah um I I've always heard that 16:28 you get your hair from your mother's 16:33 side if you're a guy I've always heard I've always heard Mom's Dad mom's dad 16:38 well my mom's dad had a head of hair up until his death my mom's dad was bald oh 16:44 well you're in for it but like not like shaved head bald 16:50 but my kids in the future it would be my dad right and my dad has a head of hair 16:56 yeah and my Pap has a head of hair yeah if the legend is true bypast Jonathan's 17:03 jeans yeah my grandpa tell is here you want to talk more about your college 17:12 experience yeah I guess I'm fine with it now it was a sore subject for a really long time um so I went to lipsum 17:20 University which I went to lipsum from like sixth grade through college um it's 17:27 a private Christian acad and then they have their University on the same 17:32 campus and so I went there I I was very much wanting to go to Auburn because I 17:37 really wanted to be on the Auburn Equestrian Team um and at one point I wanted to be a vet and then I just found 17:43 out I was not smart enough to be a vet um with math and science but I decided 17:50 instead of doing the Equestrian Team route that at the time I still had my show horse and I would rather stay close 17:58 to home to stay where I could still ride and like go to hores shows and things 18:04 and so I did that I had a very good first year 18:10 I made really good grades first year very similar to high school and then 18:16 like met some of my best friends um like my roommate at my roommate Ashley is 18:21 like still a really really close friend of mine and like we were absolutely best friends and so made a lot of really good 18:28 life Tools in college but I would say at the time because this 18:35 was before social media this is before Jonathan this was before like 18:40 anything that is current in my life right now was in existence um I was very lost as 18:49 far as what I wanted to do who I thought I was because at the time I was very 18:55 much defined by like hor shows we were putting so much time and effort into 19:02 that that that was that was very much what my whole life revolved around and 19:09 so when I stepped away from the horor shows a little bit and was trying to just find like who I 19:15 was and what I wanted to do and reality set in a little bit of like at some 19:21 point daddy's not going to be paying your hores show Bill anymore at some point you're going to have to figure 19:27 your own stuff out and I did not want I mean I think being a I think being like a stay-at home mom is an exceptional job 19:34 I think it is so important but like at the time I didn't want to always rely on like a man taking care of me either and 19:41 so I did go to school for business um I didn't want I didn't want to just 19:49 you know kind of leave it up to somebody else to create what I wanted for me but when I but when I went into it 19:56 for business I I still have like a plan and looking back I should have done 20:02 marketing but I went the management route because my family did start the company my dad owns 20:10 and runs so my great-grandfather started the business and then my Pat took it 20:18 over and then my dad after him and while it wasn't like a shoe in that family is 20:25 what takes it over it was always open that if I wanted to go to work there and work my way up I could 20:33 um but but it was it was just like a really conflicting time of like like I knew that was there but I could not see 20:41 myself doing it but I also didn't know what other option I had that would 20:46 fulfill me and so I started doing like a little bit of freelance makeup stuff and 20:54 like leaning into like other passions that were outside of horses and then when it come to sophomore year 21:01 um things didn't go like better they kind of went worse so I like got into 21:07 Greek life I got into a sorority at that small of a school if you're not in a 21:12 sorority or like a fraternity there was like nothing to do it was very small and so like all of the events all the inter 21:18 mural Sports all like everything was kind of like tied in with Greek life and so I 21:24 did that and I'm glad I did it like it was it was a good experience but I kind of like met a guy he was 21:34 terrible I do you know college has a lot of like like talking about 21:41 college has a lot of I didn't honestly think we were going to Deep dive like this right now but I'm thinking about 21:47 the fact that I kind of have to to explain my college experience so I'm going to go ahead and give a little 21:53 trigger warning um in case you don't want to watch something that includes an 21:59 ed or depression or toxic relationships or things like that don't keep watching 22:06 um but I did I did start having a really unhealthy relationship with exercise and 22:13 food um I did start having a really bad relationship with the male attention I 22:21 did lose myself I think for a bit um 22:29 like very much after like a high school and middle school experience of not 22:36 having um your typical like male attention and not feeling very like confident in yourself and then like I 22:42 lost a bunch of weight and got very very skinny and very obsessive over it and 22:50 going through binge eating periods and then like very restrictive periods and 22:57 like my anxiety went through the roof my depression kind of which at the time I didn't even know I had depression like I 23:03 just wouldn't get out of bed and stopped going to class and started failing and 23:09 started neglecting everything like I don't even think my parents know about this part but at some points I was so 23:16 low that I was supposed to be going to horror shows and this is like 23:23 so also just entitled of me like I look back at what like I was so entitled or so so like spoiled that I had these 23:31 parents that were so supportive of me financially and emotionally that like 23:37 financially they're paying for me to be at College like I did have a scholarship but financially they're covering the rest of it so that I didn't have to have 23:43 a job during college and then they're also paying for me to go do this horse show and I'm sitting there like having a 23:48 wo as me or like a like I was had this like gigantic depressive episode where I 23:53 couldn't get out of bed and I was just like in turmoil over everything stacking up on top of me as far as school workor 24:00 and everything that was needed and like relationships and all the things and I got to the point where I would tell my 24:06 trainers oh hey I can't get off school I have a test can't come to this horror show until the weekend and I would tell 24:13 my parents oh yeah I've got like school or whatever and I would just not do anything for those days I didn't go to 24:19 class like I didn't you know like I I it was weird I look back and I don't understand it 24:25 still depression yeah like I look I still don't understand it yeah and like 24:31 would just SOB in my car in the parking lot like just feeling terrible over like 24:37 the choices I was making um and over my priorities and things but eventually 24:44 like you can't keep doing that without repercussions and eventually I got kicked 24:49 out um at the end of my sopore year they were like you can't come back 24:55 unfortunately and so I had to sit out a semester uh and I went 25:00 to uh a community college for a semester and then I went back and I was dating 25:07 Jonathan when I went back and I attempted to stay and like finish um but 25:15 at the time like I I was in a better head space I would say um I was a better 25:20 head space with food I was in a better cuz like in the midst of all that depression stuff I was eating like 400 calories a day and running 5 miles a day 25:27 or like like if I been J I would go run 8 miles at 2:00 a.m. in Green Hills how 25:34 I didn't get abducted I don't know um very 25:40 like punishment exercises to myself and like you know 25:47 um like I I remember I remember just being like absolutely gaunt looking in 25:52 my face and like in my like my ra came up to me it was like I I don't want to 25:59 be seeing your shoulders this pointy anymore like 26:05 what what can we do like and it was to the point like I didn't go home as much 26:10 because my mom was going to pull me out if I kept losing weight and like like it was 26:17 a it was not great um and in the midst of it you know boy trouble like it was 26:22 just like all these things like I feel like I kind of lived a very sheltered horse girl life up in until college and 26:29 then all of life's um possible troubles at that point not all of them but you 26:34 know like relationship issues eating issues 26:39 depression like the workload of school was more than I'd ever done because in 26:45 high school I was very much the person who did not have to study did not have to do anything and I just made good grades like that just came easy to me 26:52 which I feel like was to my detriment for college um and in the midst of it I didn't know what I wanted to do and I 26:58 had no like goal which I feel like was part of the problem I didn't know what I was working 27:05 towards I was just doing something because I knew I had to do it you know yeah and once I went back in junior 27:12 year I went back long enough to like like I took a little with my sorority 27:18 and you know did some stuff with that but um at the time social media started 27:23 kicking up and I had started doing the T TV show 27:29 and that's like I'm a little salty about the TV show because they like had 27:34 promised me like this whole Year's worth of filming and after I'd done the few 27:40 episodes that I did for season 3 I stayed out of college cuz I was like 27:46 this is a really cool opportunity I'm going to stay out of college and then they like ghosted me and then I wasn't 27:51 enrolled anymore and then I started working for my dad at the office so and 27:57 then I hated that so much like there was like a really dark period of my early 28:03 20s when I just honestly had no clue what I was supposed to do but also like in the most priv privileged way possible 28:10 you know like just because other people have other things going on doesn't mean 28:15 that yours are less important to you I know but it's like oh oh no you were sad 28:20 so you had a job waiting for you at your dad's office you know like it's I I have 28:26 these I don't know I just look back and I wanted to like 28:31 smack me and be like your problems aren't that bad shut up yeah is that how 28:37 you feel about me when I talk about my problems no not at all you just want to be like in 5 years this isn't going to 28:45 matter some things and sometimes I tell you that but no I you're still allowed 28:50 to feel things and like you're going through your experiences right now and I do not regret anything because I feel 28:57 like that's what put me where I am right now because had I not gotten out had I not gotten kicked out of school would I 29:04 have been open for that TV show and like that TV show even though it didn't work out gave me a lot of tools that I use 29:10 now you know and like a lot of really cool 29:16 um like I I met a lot of really cool people connections um had I not gotten 29:23 kicked out of college would I met Jonathan when I did yeah would you know I don't no yeah and so I don't regret 29:30 any of it but my college experience wasn't great and it wasn't my College's fault it was it was definitely like a 29:37 lot of self-inflicted issues but at the same time it also was like my first ever 29:43 experience with depression and which I've had very up and down a relationship with um and like the whole food thing 29:51 too like very up and down relationship with food where like I I've obviously been heavier 29:59 in the last few years and it's almost the opposite end of the 30:05 spectrum where I would be afraid if I started to like diet that I'd get back 30:11 into what I was doing where it was miserable like yeah like I 30:18 can remember cuz I'd always count my calories super carefully and I can 30:23 remember if we went somewhere and there wasn't like an option that I knew how much the calories were or if I allowed 30:30 myself to have like a milkshake or like a something that was super indulgent then I would like cry because 30:38 I felt so guilty or because I was so regretful and I would make everyone around me miserable with just because of 30:45 food just because of my relationship with it and so it was a lot easier 30:52 to ignore it like okay I'm just going to ignore my issue with food and I'm going 30:58 to eat what I want and that was fine for a while when you're younger and your metabolism is working but then I also 31:06 I've always kind of bouted with PCOS as well 31:11 and like I've always had issues that go along with PCOS but probably when I hit 31:17 like 24 25 is when they started really getting worse and harder to deal with 31:24 and eating bad food and inflam inventory food and like it then gets to where you 31:31 can't just diet for 2 weeks and 5 lbs comes off or you can't you know it's like a lot harder to just like regulate 31:37 yourself and so then it just kind of compounded on top of itself and then when you get to the point where you're 31:43 like bigger than your boots and bigger than your whatever then you're not riding as much with which then you're 31:49 not exercising as much and then you're so there's like a bit of a spiral in different are we just got into a whole 31:55 lot of other areas than just College college just sparked this whole thing anyway yeah 32:01 oops it's okay I'm enjoying not having to talk so much um I I'm sorry I didn't 32:11 mean to do that apologize I don't really know where I just ended it I I think I spiraled I 32:17 think yesterday losing my goat and then like I don't know I'm in my feels a little bit um Abigail we should you 32:24 haven't barely talked in this so tell us a little bit about your college experence 32:33 no for real yeah um okay well I don't want to make 32:41 it like super long like I did I don't want to just like ramble 32:46 forever sorry I didn't mean to it just it it brought up so many things that all 32:51 tied into college but it's good it's okay 32:59 um I went to MTSU uh when I 33:05 applied I had my major is nursing you didn't tell me that i' I've 33:12 I've been on many different paths I I like get really um excited about one 33:19 thing and I like over obsess over it for a few weeks and then I try it it's not fun and I move on 33:26 to the next thing and I and so I thought oh nursing that'll be that'll be easy 33:31 easy not easy like for as in the schooling but easy is just like that's 33:38 something that like I can pick and I know exactly what I'll do after mhm like 33:45 with like business it's a path right it's a hard path it is a path and you know exactly what you're doing and yeah 33:52 um and then like as soon as I like before I even made my schedule I changed my major to animal science and so that's 33:59 what I was my first year and then I did honors and it was terrible and it was 34:05 really hard and I quit that um and 34:10 then I changed my major to event planning because I decided that I wanted 34:15 to be a wedding planner and um I have not heard of any of these so that lasted 34:22 for one semester that was my sophomore uh so that was my third semester in college and then after one 34:30 semester I changed it back to animal science so the end of my sophomore year I was back to animal science and then 34:37 going into my junior year I changed my major to business um and then I actually stuck 34:44 with that the rest of the time um 34:51 but that's just I mean I still don't know like I don't I don't have a certain 34:56 thing that I'm like that's what I I know that that's what I want and that that's what I'm like working towards cuz with 35:03 my degree I can I could do a lot with it but it's not stuff I want to do it's like I don't 35:08 want to work in an office I don't like I don't want to sit behind a desk all day 35:14 um I like I have so many different interests but I don't it's hard for me to just narrow in on one and be like 35:21 this is what I want to do and so I'm but yeah that was 35:28 so those are all the majors I had um I don't know what else do you 35:34 want to know about col about my college experience I don't know what like 35:40 non-schooling what non-schooling skills do you think you learned there like what what do you think you brought from it I 35:47 became a lot more social I think mhm um 35:52 I'm still like not the best at like 35:58 meeting people or like I don't know I feel like when 36:04 it's I don't know how to speak right now um I made a lot of friends my like 36:12 sophomore year I started working on campus and I made a lot of friends and I had never like I don't know like in in high school 36:19 I feel like you just have friends and you don't really have to like well not everyone 36:24 um but like the cool people no no um so I don't know I just it was kind of like 36:31 you just went to class with people and like you just kind of naturally were friends and like you didn't really have to try and then it was harder in college 36:40 when you like don't know people and you have to actually make an effort and be like do you want to like hang out I don't know so I met a lot of people that 36:48 way and that's where most of my friends came from now 36:55 and I yeah I used to have really bad like social anxiety like I wouldn't go to the store by myself I wouldn't leave 37:02 like my apartment when I first moved up here I wouldn't go like get groceries I don't know I don't know what 37:08 changed I just I guess I got around people more and started being more social and now I'll go to the store by 37:14 myself I feel like you've gotten so much more out of your shell even the last 37:19 year because I mean we go out of town quite often and you meet a lot of people 37:26 um I mean not you might not be the one talking the whole time but you know like 37:31 you seem so much more comfortable I am I don't know what flipped your your frontal lobe is 37:38 starting to close as well you're getting me that age yeah I don't like 37:44 overanalyze every single thing that I'm saying now before I like a conversation 37:49 with someone I worked at my dad's office I worked like I was on the phone quite often and I I had a lot of anxiety over 37:57 that and it was kind of in the depths of like that you know depression anxiety questioning myself low self-esteem kind 38:03 of deal and so he like threw me to the wolves on the phone and he was like oh 38:09 well you'll get over it by the end of the day and I hate talking phone prob I've 38:15 probably messed up so much that day I mean I got better obviously I worked there for a year and a half yeah um but 38:21 yeah I I still like I bet if Vicky I bet if bet if Vicki who I worked 38:28 under at the office I bet if she watched this episode she'd be like I had to fix 38:34 so many things every single day behind her because I'm so 38:39 techn technologically challenged and so a lot of it was so I did I was the 38:45 receptionist but I also um had to do some like it was we called it the 38:51 scanner list and it was basically in the warehouse they would scan in all these 38:56 items because because they were part of what my dad does and what the business 39:02 does is they have a company that buys out liquidating companies and then we 39:07 resell and so it's a lot of Auto Parts like mainly Auto Parts and so I worked 39:14 in the warehouse a little bit too when I was younger so I would go out there and like I'd be standing I worked there for a little while um so I remember when I 39:21 was scanning out there was a lot of windshield wipers or um spark plugs and 39:27 and like things like that I mean you scan the same thing over and over again and so the scanner list I would have to 39:33 go through the scanner list that they scanned make sure it matched what was in our system and like do that and I 39:40 there's also a guy named Cody that worked in there I bet behind me they like I bet they absolutely hated me not 39:48 because I we had a great time like I I've loved working with them as far as like personalities but I bet like I 39:56 think you I always wonder cuz I'm like I thought I did a good job but I'm like did I I don't know maybe they just 40:02 didn't tell me yeah there was um somebody asked if you had ever done an 40:08 escape room and I was laughing at that cuz I was just picturing like all of us in an escape room and should and like 40:14 the yelling and the arguing that would happen between like you and Nate and you and 40:19 Jonathan oh it would be do escape room I have so we went um it's been a long time 40:26 we did it with a like a group like it was a date like a group date and I I 40:33 very much was like the person in the group project that didn't do anything when I went I'm pretty sure just 40:38 observing yeah we should go to a will they let you film in like haunted houses 40:44 and stuff uh oh my gosh I don't do haunted houses you I'm not going in a 40:50 haunted house I don't do haunted houses I might could do it if I was filming though are you scared I'm that 40:57 SC I I love like haunted houses and like haunted trails and stuff you like them 41:03 what do you mean by that you love like scary movies and stuff I hate it I love it I love getting scared the anxiety of 41:10 it why when the when the chainsaw cranks up no absolutely not that seems like 41:16 something that would be fitting for you sounds sounds like a great idea for 41:22 you that's Nate's new thing he puts for you at the end of sentences and it makes it so 41:28 mean he said something earlier and he was like I think even like for you you could probably do 41:34 that yeah you got to throw an even in there even for you wrap it 41:41 up hope y'all enjoyed this uh video I mean it kind of got really dark and then 41:48 silly and then weird and you know it we're just here for it so let me know 41:53 what other topics you would like for us to cover in upcoming catch ing up with Katie let us know if you would like 41:59 guests and who those guests you think should be and yeah see you next Monday
