Speaker 1: What's up, everybody, and welcome to another great episode of Bachelor Happy Hour. Becca. It is week seven. We are just approaching rounding the corner for hometown. Things are getting serious. We're I mean, we're filling all the emotions right now. Everything where happy. I don't know if that's the emotion that I'm feeling watching this season at this point, but frustrated, angry, confused, us. I mean, there's just austed much when it comes to this season. It's not quite the emotions I thought I was gonna have. No I mean, in I feel like you say week seven and I'm like, holy crap, how are we already at week seven? But then I get it because there's so much to just happen. It feels like a marathon. Yeah, like we're just making this marathon and we're at like mile twenty two, but like those last miles are so hard to get to. It's um a whirlwin and week by week I keep saying like, oh I have to take breaks and step away again. That's the same with this But now I feel like, because we have less girls and more one on one dates, starting to get a little bit more. I'm starting to feel some hope at this point, well not for four right, because four people get a hometown. I thought to myself, this is the first time where we might not have four hometowns because I'm trying to pick the four that he would give them too. I mean, he does end up giving four roses out, but I don't know how I will say so heading to Peru, okay, speaking from experience, because I was in Peru on The Bachelor, it is beautiful, it is romantic. There's just so much there. It's so vibrant. So if he's going to really like start to fall for some of these girls, which we will get into, this is just an amazing place to do. So. So we have Hannah Ann, Kelly, Kelsey, Madison, Natasha, and Victoria f left and I feel like he made a lot of cuts the week before, like we went from ten to six. But that's that was a big chunk. I feel like I've never seen four girls go home in the same week. Yeah, you know what, it's We've been so distracted by the drama that I almost forget that people are going home every week. It's like you popped up and it was like, wow, now it's time to make these hard decisions. Who is he going to send home? I can't believe we're already here at this point where we're cutting it down to the people who are getting hometowns. I feel like I finally started to get this sense. I mean, Peter has been trying to take this seriously this entire time, but I finally get the sense of urgency where he's like, holy crap, we have hometowns. I'm meeting these families. Like that's a pivotal point in any season, I think when you bring the family and friends and they're involved. So I think he's starting to feel that and he's starting to actually be like, Okay, yes, it's been fun with some of these women, Like I've had great chemistry with some of these women. There's of course been the drama, but like, who can I actually see a life with? Yeah, which I appreciate that we're finally at this point because this is what we've been wanting, Peter, So thank you. Yeah. So we've got Hannah Ann, Kelly, Kelsey, Madison, Natasha, and Victoria f Is that it? That's it? Six six? Is it really six six? Tun four? Yeah? Okay, okay, wow, okay, all right, So we're in Peru, and I love how this episode pops off because it kind of and I'm piggybacking on what you were saying with what you're excited to finally see from Peter. Peter sits down and tells the women, Hey, I know there's been a lot that's going on, so let me just kind of reset and let you know what I want, what my intentions are, and what I'm expecting from you. And it was kind of like a wake up call, good and bad because I feel like the girls, who kind of feel like they're on the outside are like, hold on. He's saying this is what he wants, and I haven't really had a chance to show him who I am because I haven't had that time with him. And I think up until this point, it's of course been Peter getting to know these girls and trying to figure out what he wants, and the ball has been in his court. And now I think by him coming to sup these girls and have this this heart to heart with them, to say the least, I think it really made them realize like, Okay, this is a two way straight he has to say, but I also do too, and so I like that He's like if you're not all in, then then this can't continue. So I think that was good for him. As you said to reset U, we then see him, you know, go with Madison on their very first one on one, second one on one. Oh yeah, yeah, she had the first. She did have the first. It's been a while. It has been a while. She has been kind of hidden. I will say, in a lot of past weeks, I feel like we've had three seasons of the Bachelor since Madison's day because its just too much has gone on which and Madison has always been I think a front runner, like you can definitely tell the connection. She has this special bond with him because she met his family. She went to his parents val renewal for goodness sake. Um, this date, I watched it with Garrett and he and so let me start with Garrett has watched a little bit here and there, but he has not set down and watched every episode with me. So he caught this date and he goes, she's the one, like game over, this is Madison, Like, he is so into her. Even before the moment when Peter told her whicheveryone he finally said it that he is falling for someone. She didn't say it bad and she did not say it back, which I think that's okay. I think I kind of like that because I'm watching this well okay, let me back up, so Garrett. Garrett's like, Okay, this is done, like she's the one, Madison is the one for him now when What's going through my mind when I'm watching this is, oh, Lord, please don't say it to multiple women, because this is really good to screw with them. I mean, I dealt with it on our season with him saying I love you to two people, and we have seen it with other leads as well, and I think that's a tricky situation. I personally chose not to say that to the guy's face to face because I didn't want to steer anyone on and give them like all the hope in the world. But you can tell he's feeling Madison. No, he's all in with Madison. And I think, first of all, I love that Garrett gave his opinion because I love to have the male opinion because they see things differently than we do. And so if a guy walks in and he says that, it's kind of like whoa, whoa, whoa, but it's very obvious that he's into Madison, which makes me feel like something is going to happen. When I was watching and I was like, they're giving us too much. He's we're seeing him say he's falling in love with her. There's clearly a connection. His interaction with her is totally different from everyone else's. Something's going to happen, it's otherwise, it's just like, let's just stop watching. Yeah, but I did find it interesting she didn't say I'm falling in love with you back I did say I'm falling in love with multiple people. Because I didn't say I was in love with multiple people, because I was just very much so of if I'm feeling it, I'm gonna say it. I want no regrets. I'm going to be present in the moment with every single person. But we haven't seen him say it to anybody else, and he doesn't even look like he's even close to say falling in love with anybody. He's just like, I enjoy spending time with your girl, right, Oh, this is great. I have so much fun with you. Yeah, this is the first time we've And when we did sit down with him, he did say like he did fall for multiple women. But this is the first time we're hearing it from what's what's the first hearing it from the horse's mouth, the horse's mouth. Yeah, we're hearing it from the horse's mouth. Um. I did appreciate their nighttime conversation because a lot of people complain that we don't have serious they don't see us have real life conversations on camera, and I feel like that's an old narrative because you even saw religion talked about on well one on my season we went to church, and then on with Hannah season you saw that with the Luke pe and now you're seeing it again between Peter and Madison. So I actually think that's refreshing because Bachelor Nation has said, you don't talk politics, you don't talk religion, you don't talk about these real life things. Well we do. You just don't see them because they're not interesting, right. But it was interesting to see Madison and Peter talk about religion. If if religion is a huge part of Madison's life, as she said, then it needs to be talked about and addressed. One thousand percent. Were you shocked at how Peter responded? I wasn't shocked. I will say I was trying to put myself in Peter's position because I don't, you know, he has mentioned before that he's Christian. I didn't really know. I didn't even know that. And maybe maybe I think he mentioned it when he was here. Maybe I was just talking to him, like not recording, but I know he had mentioned that, but that was the extent of it. I didn't know how strong it was. And I think I'm finally starting to see, like when Peter says he's attracted to like a strong woman who like stands for something like that's how she is, that like her faith, it sounds like is a huge pillar of her life and her family's life. And I think he gravitates towards that because it's something positive, and I think he appreciated appreciates that, and it's like, Okay, I have somebody who can maybe like get me back into it or pull me back in, and that can like build up my strength in his faith a little bit. Um. You know, it's tough because there's only so much you can show in a short amount of time. And so we touched on it with her. I would like to hear from him a little bit more of like maybe what the future would look like together. I think that I wasn't shocked at what he said. I didn't know he was a Christian. So when he said and he was kind of hesitating, and I could I feel like I could see that he was like, should I go there? Should I not? And he went there? And I thought, okay. But my fear is that there are levels to it, which he said, I'm not where I'd like to be better. And Madison seemed like she's already there, and she's already comparing you to her father. It's one thing when you're when you say, my father has these characteristics, and I see the relationship he has with my mother, and I want to emulate that. I want I want to marriage where we do we communicate this way or whatever. But the bar is set really high. She is expecting to find mind a man who honors faith the exact same way that her father does. And I think that could be a little troubling because and I feel like I can say this as a Christian. If if her father is that strong in his beliefs, in his Christianity and follows the Bible that way, then he has to have a huge problem about the sex in the windmill four times. Oh so no, that's all I kept thinking of when you when you start talking about that, it's from how she describes her, like the way she practices. She has to have an issue with it as well. Peter has said he's very sexual. How is this not a red flag from Madison? Where how is Peter not seeing Oh my gosh, I'm gonna her dad is at hometown, has to mention the fact about the sex. There's no way that that can't come up. And you know, I'm sure for Peter, well we'll see you next week. You will definitely have to cross that bridge, I think, And trying to put myself in his position, I think it would be you know, you always hear you don't want to be in a relationship where you have to change someone. You don't want to change someone. You want to love them for who they are, and you want to hopefully grow and adapt in new ways together. But to change someone, That's where if I was Peter, I'd be like, well, you know, I want to grow. I want to grow in my faith and grow alongside her, But but can I live up to that standard that she has now set, that her father has provided. So I'm glad that they're they're talking about it and opening up about it. I think that there's probably many, many, many more conversations that have to be had with that. So Rachel like going into the whole windmill, Peter being a very sexual Oh man, this is gonna you know, as we've seen in the previews, they touch on Madison being a virgin, and that's something that we haven't seen them talk about. I can only imagine it's going to come up during Hometown and Beyond because that's a huge, huge conversation to have. Obviously, we saw Colton last season have to deal with it the entire season. I'm actually glad you about Coulton because I don't. I'm glad that she didn't lead with that and make that her entire storyline. And and so we've gotten to know Mattison in another way and now this is just another element of her right. But what I do fear for her is as women, it is in our nature to feel that we can change someone like, oh we make that excuse, Oh I can I can fix that. This isn't something where it's like, you know, you leave your shoes your house shoes out, or your socks on the floor and I need to help you fix to actually throw them away. I put him in the laundry. Gosh, I can't talk you or you need to put them in the laundry. This is Peter has said being sexual is something that he wants in a relationship. It is a way to get to know someone. It is an element that he has to have in a relationship, right and he has been extremely cool about that. So I don't understand how. I don't know. I'm a little frustrated for Peter in this because he has expressed this and you're keeping it from him. And I totally understand you why you don't want it to be a part of your narrative. But these are things that you need to talk about before you get to week eight, before you get to hometowns. If you know how you've expressed that Christianity is and faith is a huge part of your relationship. How have you not? And Peter has expressed the sexuality is a big part of his So how have you not talked about the fact that you're a virgin? Right? Right? Well, I will say so this week, Mettle, I feel the same way, I knowing very vocal she she has her opinions over here. People. If you can't hear her whining right now, well I will say so when I was about to red this was the same week that Colton opened up to me and told me he was a virgin. And granted, you know, yeah, it was right before hometowns. It was the week before hometowns. Then why did we talk about it? Oh, when he was the beast? When he was Okay, yes, okay, I'm like, wow, we talk about it, yes, but this was the way. But I think the difference between both Peter and I is like, yes, I think sex is an important thing. I think, like I'm physical. Touch is one of my love languages. So to me, it's very important. I was never as outspoken or vocal or I guess people never like realized like the except I mean Peter four times in a windmill. That's like what his headline is, that's what we know of him. So it was a little bit different. I think now he kind of led, not lad with it, but in a way it was at the forefront. And so I definitely think it is, though a serious thing that Madison has to feel comfortable enough talking about it, Like you can't just stay like have two dates and hope that that is enough. I think definitely if it does get more serious as hometowns come along, like before fantasy suits, of course it needs to be addressed. But but and maybe that's the time, Like, you don't have to go into the fantasy suits and have sex four time, No you don't. I just it's gonna be an issue. He's gonna have sex with more than one person in the fantasy suite because he is sexual and he owns that and that is him and maybe it's one of the things that he can work on when he talks about he wants to be better. Not that that's bad. I'm just saying, you know, if you practice Christian faith, it's no sex before marriage. This is just what's taught. I just to me, it's something that should have been brought up before because it's it's going to be an issue in their relationship, and you know it's going to be and you're holding onto it, and I just why would you allow him to start saying I'm falling in love with you and it go deeper and deeper knowing that something he feels is crucial to a relationship. You're not doing unless this is the first time that we're going to see him get down on a knee and then Chris Harrison's going to marry them at the end of this unless that's going to happen, don't I don't know at this point. I wouldn't be shocked. Let's be honest, I don't know, but that, yeah, there's let's just keep an eye on this Madison Peter relationship because I foresee big time issues. I really do. Yeah, which I think in regards to the show itself, I think it will make for good TV because again, this is the first and only girl to this point that he says I am falling in love with you, and we know that these things need to be talked about and addressed. So yeah, there will be an elephant in the room until at least next week. We'll see. Listen, we are all overbooked and constantly running on empty. I mean I barely have enough time to eat complete meals. I don't even think I've had anything to eat today, let alone prepare a meal. I don't like to cook. I don't want to prepare it. I just want it to be as simple and as tasty as possible. So there aren't many things or many places they can get that for you. That's why I love daily harvests, because being busy doesn't mean that you have to eat take out. You can just do it through daily Harvest. So let me tell you guys about it. So now let's jump to the opposite end of the spectrum. Natasha Natasha. Natasha gets a one on one and her card says, vomels ah explore. Is that how you say? Well, Brian, it's not explore, that's got to be explorer. That's where I'm gonna go with where's the little astra over the eag which means we go to explore? So he and Natasha is so excited. She's my girl. I like Natasha. You know you can tell early on their relationship is much more of a friendship. Sure like you could tell very early like she was not going to end up with him. But I really liked Natasha. But do you think she knows? It's like you have to know. Yes, she did. And then it's like, how are you not in the house doing calculations at this point? Okay, it's week seven. That means somebody, somebody's getting one on one and is not getting a rose. Well, he already gave it to Madison. It's me and these other girls who've already had one on one. I mean, kudos to her for enjoying the moment and getting lost in it. I mean, you are in Peru, so you might as well just take it. But she had to know. She Natasha seems like she has a very good head on her shoulders. She seems so intelligent, Like I think she went in to that date kind of knowing it wasn't going to go much further. Like I don't think she deep down. I think had she been removed a little bit, I think she probably would have said, I'm not ready to in turn receive to my family. I don't think they were at that level. But I think she was just hopeful and like you said, she's improved, soak it in. Yeah, it up. She was so excited. I mean, and I think they enjoy their time with each other. I think Peter does. I think, like you said, it's a friendship. It's just there's just no it's blatonic. There's no romantic element to it. And so yeah, as soon as he tells her his feelings aren't as deep for her as they offer the other women, You're like, no shit, yeah, and sends her home, sad to see my girl go. She was like the comic relief and logical. She was fun. Yeah, she was black. There was no other black people thing. I will say the thing I think that I love most about Natasha. And I've said this before. I think in one of our earth earlier podcasts, she she says it like it is. She speaks her mind, but she does it in such an eloquent way. I think in the same age, so many people use filler words like like and um, and I do that. I'm included. I cannot say that I don't do because I do it far too often. But she Oh, man, if I could just speak as eloquently as she does, sense like I need to take lessons from her, Natasha, can I hire you? Natasha's great? We are sad to see you go. That one We knew it was coming, but we didn't want to see you walk away. So then we have another one on one with Kelsey, who Kelsey taking us all by surprise. She's come a long way since that bottle of champagne. She really has no Before we get into Kelsey's relationship with Peter, did anyone see the relationship between her and hannah Ann coming? Because you see it throughout this entire episode. They're always talking, they're always having their girl chats. When hannah Ann comes home at the very end, Kelsey runs straight into her arms, not Peter's, Like, this is the friendship I did not see coming. Well, I honestly didn't even notice that until you just said that. So that's true. So it's it's nice that they could come over or get over whatever differences they had, because I never would have guessed the first two would be friendly in the end. So let let Kelsey and hannah An be a lesson to you all. Let bygones be bygones, and unless it's necessary, I just want to see them sitting together. Cheersey went the nice bottle of champagne. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure we will. Women tell all ours, maybe they will. I mean I have no far. Excuse me, I don't know how far these girls are gonna make it. But if they're both the women tell all, yes, they can share a toast with each other. So Kelsey gets a card, a day card that says love is a wild ride. And I thoroughly enjoyed this date with them. It seemed to relax, chill, fun, adventurous. So can you imagine Garrett, you got Garrett, I got Brian. You're on these ATVs, explore this country to gather, you're running up a hill, you get lost, like they're like lost, and it's cute. It just looked like in that moment when they ran up the hill together and just lay there, it looked easy. Yeah, and that's what a relationship should be. I mean it's not I shouldn't say always, but you should have that sense of ease and just comfort. And I felt that watching them. Yeah. The only thing that was uncomfortable is when she straddled him. She it was like a weird. It was like a weird. It wasn't smooth. He was like, oh, what are you doing here? But I don't think Peter said smooth. Remember like all the awkward moments with him, in Hannah, like when he hit his head on the light on the pool table, Like there's like they're both kind of like, well, I climb that on Hannah. I thought Hannah messed up that he was ready to he was ready to go. I think Peter smooth. But yeah, it was very rigid when she climbed on top of him. I didn't like it if anyone, no one can see. But Rachel's doing this little the robot to get to straddle him. Okay, I never know what to do with my hands or body, so I get it. Kelsey, Kelsey, get a girl. So Kelsey. I appreciated this date because I we know she has a story. Will be learned more of her story. Yes, And as soon as she started talking, I knew she was getting a hometown, because there has to be that one hometown that's gonna be juicy. There's gonna be that one hometown. I mean, for me, it was Dean, right, I mean, that's not why I gave him. He really was my top four, but I they also wanted to go home and see what was there, right, And that's kind of how it is. De bark she oh my gotta call it. It's okay, you know. But I think with Kelsey, you know you had to see it coming. It's like, this is this is a good story. Will we see the dad? Will we not see? Well the mom and the dad confront each other. Well, I need I need all the details. It's like with Karne, we had to meet Raquel, Yes you couldn't not. Yeah, so, but I did appreciate her opening up. I thought we saw a different side of her. Just to hear her say she has this relationship or has this relationship with her father and now she's seeking something different apart from her mother and her sisters. I thought was very mature. This is her own journey and she's got to do it on her. Yeah. Yeah, and it's got to be a scary thing first to I mean Bachelor World aside. Just to have that sort of relationship, it's got to be so difficult. It's got to be. And like you said, good for her to say, I want to see what kind of relationship I can have with my dad without everyone else involved, with all all of their thoughts and opinions. Like if that's what you need in your life, and your dad is willing and open like one thousand percent, that is I like comment her for that now bringing the bachelor world where you first have to you don't have to. But she first opens up about her parents' relationship and the divorce and how difficult that was. That's one level, But then you take it now to and who even knew knows if Kelsey thought she was going to be going to hometowns. I mean, I was kind of surprised that she did make it this far, but good for her. But now she's saying, Okay, you know, my mom has been in my life, my sisters are in my life, but now my dad has some sort of part in my life. But like that has got to be such a scary thing. And I'm thinking, like, oh my gosh, Kelsey, when this airs, if your mom watches this back, I hope this isn't the first time she's finding out about this, because that is a lot to take in for you and your family. But then just the entire world to watch this back, and the fact that she feels comfortable enough to do it with Peter, I think is very telling. I think she really, I mean, we're seeing him now form these deeper connections with these girls. But she like, based upon their conversations, has the most stepped with him, like, has opened up the most, has the most layers, like and and you're kind of seeing her walls slowly come down bit by bit, date by date, conversation by conversation. So the fact that she feels so open and comfortable to say these things to him, I think it is very telling. Yeah, now you know, I'm just speaking my opinion and what I see. I don't think Kelsey's going to be the last one standing. I don't think it's going to be those two at the end. So I just hope that from here on out, regardless of like anything that happens, it goes down. Like, Kelsey, you are strong for just opening up and sharing that, And I hope she can continue the relationship with her father. Yeah, that's best for her without a thousand other voices chiming in. I hope that at the end of this, like she can still focus and grow that relationship. Well said, I completely agree. So Kelsey gets a rose and stay tuned. Okay, So then we get to three on one, which I hate. I hate three Listen, you guys, you don't understand. Three on ones are miserable for the lead. I know they're miserable for the three people that are involved. But I'm telling you behind the scenes, it is awful. I remember my stomach was hurting on that day. Your eye was on a boat with I don't think I was on a who's on a vote with Adam, Matt and Eric and the water was choppy, and I remember this is telling of how this whole date was going to go. It is heartbreaking. I had to send two home on that date. So with Peter, he still has two roses left. It's only one person's not gonna get it. I had to send two people home, and I just want to say, nobody likes the three on one, No, nobody, It's awful. So you've got Kelly, got Hannah, Anne and Victoria f what a like? Those three together really make up the most random group, you think? So? I think. So you got Kelly the lawyer who who know, as we have seen, is very logical, like she she just she's she's kind of not the wall flower, but she's just so much reserved, more reserved because I think she just is on this different level. Like she she's not that the other girls aren't taking it seriously, but she just thinks like the other girls are all I mean that she said it herself, they're all babies. That's what her words people, not mine. But and then you have Hannah Anne, who we're finally just starting to kind of see open up a little bit, if you can even say that. But you know, she's been a strong contender since the beginning, who Peter is very attracted to, you can tell. And then Victoria f who well we'll get into that one. Okay. So Peter takes these ladies out and he pulls who does he pull first? Victoria? He pulls Hanna Ann because she gives him the note. He pulls Hannah Anne. Okay, So if you were listening last week, you know I was not a fan of how Hannah Ann handled her conversation with Peter. I felt like she didn't have any words. She didn't say anything, and she cried because she thought she was going home. So apparently maybe she does have an issue finding her words and saying the right thing. So what do we see her do? Write out a note? A simple note? Well note all the reason and all the reasons she what was? It was like reasons that she likes somewhere that he shows he likes her. It was like you like me, like when I have hot dog on my face, and yeah, yeah, like when I'm hot dog on my face. The way you make me feel it really turns me on. You knocked me off on my I was like, oh, that would actually be good. He hey, I mean it was. It was cute and that's it, and that's how I would describe Hannah Anne. Her little note was cute. She's cute. I mean Parrow with the Bachelor like theme music in the background and adds to the element of it was cute and sweet. Yes, it was a little girlish to use the words of Kelly, but it obviously made an impression on Peter. Yeah, who do we have? Who we have the next? Kelly? So well, Kelly this entire time, I mean like it seems like a brief she takes a nap when the other girls are gone. Kelly, he was caught back. She had that foot in the air, she was twirling it around. I'm pretty sure I saw her blow her fingers and rub her knuckles on her shirt like I got this, y'all. Well, she really did think that, you know, she went in thinking like, Okay, I'm an attorney. I'm so mature. We have this history together to think that way. Do you think she's wrong? No, I don't. Well, you know, I will say, you can never get too confident in this because you're always going to be thrown for some sort of loop when you're part of the show. But I will say, like, from what she's going off of, Peter says he wants an independent, strong woman. He's looking for all these things, and Kelly like checks those boxes. She really does, like on paper. And she said this herself too, like put it down on paper, like we aligned so well, and so in her mind, I think, yes, drul blis it because she's going off of what he's been seeing the entire time. Yeah, you look around and say, who doesn't belong here? And honestly it's Kelly. Kelly's not like the other women that are left. So if I'm Kelly and I'm thinking logically and I'm scanning the room, and I'm listening to what Peter says what he wants in a woman, as you said, Becca, she checks all those boxes. So of course she's sitting back thinking I got this because I don't have anything in common with these women other than the fact that we're on this show. Together, right, So I get her feeling a certain way, and little does she know Peter does apparently doesn't want what he says he wants, because none of they don't they have some of those characteristics, but she seems to have all the ones in what he says that he wants. Right, So, and they're girls. Next, well, well I want to get into the whole. I think what we start to see is when she sits down with Peter, she keeps using the word fun, and Peter's like, well, this can't just be fun. And I think Kelly addresses the fact like it doesn't always have to be a hurdle that you have to get over, like a relationship can be serious, but it can still be fun. And she's easy and easy, and she's looking at like Kelly is very logical. She's looking at it like, you know, we have these things. It is fun, like we we haven't had many hardships yet to get over because we just haven't been dulled that hand. And I think the like I think the disconnect with them is like Kelly doesn't want to say the word fun as just like lighthearted. I think she's using it as like we actually do have fun together and I think Peter's like, but I want more than that, Like, I want that the passion and that chemistry, and that's the part that I think was lacking for them. I can't remember if you said this to me during last week's episode or if we were just talking off mike, but you said something about guys confusing emotion as death. Yes, and and and I'm paraphrasing what you said, but I thought that that was really powerful because that is what I think Peter is doing. Kelly is giving it to you matter of fact, and she's not crying about it, right or you know, running out of the room or just giving you all this emotion, but she's telling you what she's feeling is real. She's like, she said it, I like you, and I don't need to shed a tear, write a note, sing a song, run out of the room to let you know that I like you. Period. Yeah. And I think like you said, he's he's confusing emotion for depth, right, yeah, totally. And I think in their case, like they're just there's something missing. Like again, it's perfect on paper, but is that the chemistry truly there? Is that passion truly there? I think Peter Peter seems like a hopeless romantic, like he needs the fireworks, and I think he's getting everything else from Kelly except that. Yeah. So so then we go in to your girl, Victoria F. Now, I know listeners week after a week probably think that I'm just ragging on Victoria F. And I just for me personally, she don't know the girl. I'm just quin off of what I'm seeing each week, doesn't know what she wants. She's all over the place this conversation. I mean, I think every time I see them together on their dates, when they have the evening together and she gets all worked up and walks away, Like I have an issue with that because you're you're here to form a connection. You can't do that if you keep walking away from the lead of the show. But this conversation was probably the most difficult for me to watch because well, she everad admitted she went into it with an attitude. She said before she saw him, I'm already in a bad mood, she said it herself. So she goes into this already on the wrong end, already upset and frustrated, and Peter is just trying to have a conversation. I think Peter handled it very well. I think he said, I just want more, like I want to know, like you give me the red flags. And she but she can't vocalize and talk through this convers station and talk through his questions and answer them. She just gets frustrated and she like clams up and just says, like you. She tells Peter that he's always in a mood, and I've never seen Peter be in a mood with her once. Yeah, I think he's questioned her, and I think he's asked her some difficult questions and she takes it as you're attacking me, and that's not the case. And I think she doesn't like she can't comprehend a guy just trying to have a deep conversation. Yeah, And I just like, at this point, I'm trying to I'm trying to pick apart every conversation because obviously I want to recap it for everyone. But at this point, I'm trying to come out at every angle and I don't understand, like what is pulling him to her. I don't physical, I don't know what it is. And I like, I really wish we could have Peter here to ask him because at this point, like every conversation seems like it drains the both of them. It seems like it takes out so much life, and they always leave. There's like always this tension or this negativity hanging around them. It's never just happy and care free and like the ease, like the ease that you should have in a partner. I don't see it. I feel like if Peter was here, he would say, I just I just know she's a good person and I can see that in her, and I want to bring that out in her, and I do, but you know what, we're going to hometowns to this point, like save that talk for week four. At this point, you need to say goodbye to Victoria and stop trying to save her. That's how I do feel, more than any of the other women. He has this savior complex with Victoria. Yes, maybe he feels bad because of how she was done with her ex coming on the show. I don't know, but other than physical, that's what I have to say that it is. But he looks so defeated after every conversation with her. Yeah, And it's just I don't I don't get it. She can call out her issues too, She's like I'm I'm messing this up. I'm ruining it. I'm like she sees what her problem is. I just I don't get it. I don't get it. When you've got Kelly, Hannah Ann and Victoria f and you have two roses to give, how do you give one of those to Victoria? Well, and the way he gave it to her, I thought she was going home at first. I thought he was walking her out to the car, And in that moment, I'm like, okay, like finally this cloud can left, hopefully, And then you know, he pulls a fast one and he says, like I want to keep your on, I want to meet your family. Maybe it's his way because we've seen it so many times with him, like a way to reassure her and say like I'm not going to keep you here longer, like I want to send you home first and give you this row so you know you're good. I don't know, but I just didn't. I didn't expect that one. I really didn't. I just at this point, I just I like, I want to see more from the show and more of their conversation than just them arguing about like their differences and like what she wants. I think at this point, she's been very clear, like she doesn't quite know what she wants, and she said, like I I I shell up because I'm like, it's easier to just not have you in the beginning. But it's like, is that the case or do you are you really just not that into Peter. That's what my take is, And so I want to see something that proves me wrong. I would love to be wrong in this regard. I just I just I've done, I have done. Next week, I'm pressing fast forward through her hometown except to watch Hunter Hays performed, and then I'm fast forwarding it again. You can recap her hometown day don't want to see. I don't care. I'm over her. I'm exhausted. I don't need that negativity in my life. So yeah, So he gives Victoria Ferros. It's down to Hannah Ann and Kelly. Kelly's like these women are baby. Kelly's going in at this point she is, She's like their babies. Of course, Like he's gonna give it to me. Let's hurry up, Chop, chop. I got a hometown to get to. Where it back to Chicago. You're gonna come to the law firm, Meet my brothers, meet my dad. I'm gonna take you down the road, like she's got it all planned out in her head, and all of a sudden he gives it to Hannah Anne. It was the note. It was the Kelly written a note, a legal brief emotion of opening argument. He would have given it to Kelly, anything, anything, anything, anything, And he gives it to Hannah Anne, who I think she thought she was going home too well from those tears. Yeah, when when he walked Kelly out from those tears, like at that point she just had to release it all, like the real tears finally. Yeah, yeah, she she wailed. She wailed out when he asked, Kelly's Kelly can still definitely hear that too. That's got That's like the knife in the back where Kelly's like cushing it. I'm not getting a rose and hear this girl who is going to hometowns and still gets to be with Peter is crying. I love Yeah, we get Kelly on the show. Kelly, I didn't get a rose. She set up, she pulled up her jeans, walked out. She's like, I got I got places to be, I gotta go and then in her exit interview, I mean, I think very on par with Kelly. You don't see a ton of that emotion. You don't see the tears. She just is confused. She's like, well, Peter's been saying he wants one thing and and he's now trying to search for that with these other girls who you know, she she just thinks they're immature, they're young. Um. Yeah, So I will say I'm glad Kelly didn't cry because you always see like these big crazy interview like exit interviews, and of course, like people, you're not in the van alone. You have the camera crew, you have a producer with you talking you through these things. So you start to feel these emotions because you're not just saying goodbye to the lead. You're saying goodbye to the girls in the house. You're saying goodbye to these producers who have become your friends. Like that's where a lot of the emotion at times comes from. But I'm happily Kelly to the end. She has shown she's like very solid in her feelings and what she thinks and what she believes and what she feels, and she's not going to give you this like crazy cry fust it. She doesn't feel it. She's just like, I don't get it. Yeah, the end on Kelly Kelly was like, Okay, I guess honestly, she probably was like, you're not who I thought you were, and she can probably rationalize that better and say, you know what, that's not the man for me. On to the next one. I like Kelly Kelly for Bachelorette at this point. Yeah, if I'm going to pick a girl from the season or Nasha Natasha, I don't even know if she goes bout Tasha, I've been calling it. That's sorry. If you don't go, I will say I think a lot of the girls that went home early, had they stuck around longer, if they would have been good contenders. Oh oh, which reminds me this is I do want to say this about Victoria f I think the other rational to rationalize her behavior is that she's trying trying out for the Bachelorette. That's the only thing. The other thing that I can give her is that I'm trying to play crickets on my phone. It's not saying that I want her. But you know a lot of times people say the batch who usually comes from the season as the bachelorette is the person who you know is like, something's wrong with me and how can I not get chosen? And I just don't understand what my issue is. That's kind of a narrative for some people and not not every bachelorette, And so with her, it's just like that's what she keeps saying. He's giving you. He's like, I love you, I'm here's the ring in my pocket. And she's like, she was like, what's just I just that's not what I want. Okay, I want to be bachelorette. Like I'm reading between the lives, That's not what I want. Peter. The reason I can't tell you is because I'm trying to be the next bachelor. So gold would this be though a women Tell all because we always say it's it's the Women's like interview for Paradise. Basically they're champ seeing it on Paradise. Like, I just want somebody a women tell to be like, look at a great run on the season at a good time. It kind of sucked because a lot of the drama, but like I want to be about Charrette. I just want somebody to stand up and say that maybe she will. Let's be honest, she doesn't make it. You know, she goes a hometown. She's not the one in the end, and I for Peter's sake, for so he can not have a lifetime of just dramatics. I hope it's not her. And now we're going to move on to the cats and rats of the week. There are some cats and some rats. Oh right, you keep me young cats and rats. Let's see. I have my hand to danny list of women in front of me. Um. You know, okay, well, okay, I hate to just continue to harp on the same person over and over again. This is only going off of what I am seen. I will have to say the rat is Victoria f only because like she just keeps calling Peter out for being in moods when he's not. She just it's it's a real struggle to watch the relationship right now. That's what I'm gonna lead with my cat of the week. Oh man, well you know what, I don't know. Okay, these three girls, Kelsey, Madison and Natasha. I just really like Natasha and she went home and I mean I just enjoyed her. I just really enjoyed her as a person. That's just me selfishly giving out a cat. But then I would say Kelsey, because again, that story that she opened up with and spoke on a little bit more had had to be so incredibly difficult, and I applaud her for feeling comfortable enough to share that with Peter and all of us, the entire world. And I really do wish her the best in whatever relationship she decides to move forward with and her father. So I'm gonna give it to her. Oh that's very well said. I mean, there are a lot of cats this week. I thought Madison was great for being bold enough to open up about her Sometimes that's difficult for people to share. Kelly not well, Kelly, who was originally going to go to because I just love me some Kelly. Kelsey is what I meant to say, for the same reason that you said. But I love Kelly Tasha because that's my girl, Kelly. I loved Kelly in this episode. I'm sad to see you go, and yes, I'm agree with you. The rat is Victoria just because it's just just exhausting. It's just I'm just exhausted with her. I can only imagine what Peter's going through. So there you have it, Cats and Rats of the Week, and stay tuned Bachelor Happy our listeners, because coming up, we have the wonderful Hunter Hayes. All right now calling in and joining us on the show is mister Hunter Hayes. Hunter. We were so happy to have you a part of Bachelor Happy Hour. I'm so excited to be here and joining you guys. Thanks for thanks for the time. How are you, guys? Who are you doing. We're doing great. We're so excited to have you here because very soon we will be seeing more of you on our lovely show and we can not wait for that. But we really just want to get your side of things and what was your overall experience performing on The Bachelor. Honestly, it was a blast. I was I don't know why I was expected. I guess just because normal TV tapings, and I should just call it that because it didn't feel like that at all. Like that's what we all commented on, like we it was. It was such a fun day, um and it was such a fun atmosphere, Like the place was like open air, it was you know, beautiful like venue. So it was it was honestly a blast. It felt like vacation. And it was also, um it was nice because it was my first time. I have a new sort of form of my show that we're taking on the road called the lab Um and it's a lot of like technology meets like performance stuff. It's it's a lot, but um, it was my first time actually performing with that. Um So I thought I was going to be really nervous about that particular element of it, and then it's just the whole day was just so much fun. So how many times did you have to play the song? Yeah, that's the part no one. No one realizes you have to replay it over and over and when you when you watch it back on the show, you you think it's just the one time and it's so special and magical and by the end you're like, Okay, this is the twelfth time we've played this with them dancing in the crowd. Now. Yeah. Well, so we ended up I ended up playing through it multiple times before, right, because the moment was kind of everything, you know, Like the moment that they kind of came in was the Yeah, that's the whole thing that was That was a moment that that was the most important part. So we ended up actually playing the song through god what seven times before that, So I got a lot of practicing. Yeah you word with those vocal chords. No, yeah, I want to know. And this is something that we've talked about before. So Bachelor Nation as a whole, like our fan base is amazing, Like they are so invested in the show itself, and it's it's kind of like a sports team, Like the love for the sports team is the love that we feel like with Batchel Nation. So when you usually perform, like, is this was this a new level of like fandom for you? Yeah? Um, well it was. It was a wild experience because like before I even opened my mouth, we were sound checking, we were setting up, and you know, the audience was in a different part of it in you and I mean before we even made noise, um, like we got a notification that somebody had tweeted that we were there and setting up. So like I'm I don't know that I'm used to that. Yeah, made it crazy. They know everything before you do. Yeah, so massive respect, massive amount of respect. Um. Yeah, that was that's that's new. That's new for me. Now you understand why we call them Bachelor Nation. I mean they are everywhere. You can't you can't get away with doing something and they don't find out. Yeah, I get it now, I get it. So help us kind of find out what happened behind the scenes when it comes to this episode. So it's a hometown, which I don't know if you know this Hunter, there's a big deal. So the fact that you got to perform at a hometown is huge. So you saw one of the final four girls. You are on the date with Victoria F. You're in Virginia Beach. It's a hometown. First of all, I have to ask you off the top because I don't know if you know the history of this season, but do you did you personally know date or I don't know? Something else with Victoria F? No, you did not. I know people are gonna want to know. No. No, I honestly and didn't really know anything right going into it. Um, because it's because it happened a hot minute ago, right, So UM, I went in fline blind, which is you know, Yeah, I was clueless, as you should be. That's that's how it typically goes. Um. I want to know. So usually, at least from experience, when we have musical guests performed for us at the end, we can kind of go backstage with you and chat and so were you able to spend time with Peter and Victoria backstage after that? You know, I thought I was kind of like hoping to like get to know them a little bit, um, But it all happened. It didn't happened fast, but it felt like it flew by. I mean, I know that we were on set, we were getting ready sound check, and we you know, ran through the song several times for hearst and kind of got some different camera singles before they got there and stuff I got. We were probably you know, were there for hours, but it honestly felt like it went by and thirty seconds. Yeah, so it really did go quick, and I didn't I got to I got to get up. I wanted to you know, I wanted to say thank you because, um, I was pretty stoked that when he got on the stage, he was he was singing My Fault front to back, and I was like, okay, that's dope, I'm grateful. So I got to go up and say hello, right, I shook the hand, um talk to them a little bit. But it was so quick. So what was their chemistry? Tell us? Were they were they into each other, did you see something like maybe the camera didn't catch were they touching? I like, we need to know behind the scenes. Uh, well you'll see it. Um that was good. You're good they Um, you'll definitely yeah. But honestly, again being the guy who was flying totally blind, it felt like they'd known each other for years. It was really really almost almost weird for me because I do a little bit right, But um, yeah, it really felt like they'd known each other for a long time, and it was very like it didn't feel you know, forced or anything like that. I and I was I don't know why I was expecting it too, because I've never you know, I've never played on the show, so I don't know what it's like, and it didn't feel that way. So it was honestly, you kind of freak me out at first, But well, I like, I like hearing you say that, because I think the one of the main questions that we get as being contested on the show and then leads is is it is it real? People think it's fake, People don't think the emotions are really there. So it's it's always fun when we can bring in the third party who has experienced a part of it for themselves to be like dang, like yeah, they actually had this connection and and you see the emotion and the feeling behind the relationship as you know. Of course it's yes the TV show, but but it's it's there. I want to know, did anyone from the audience make a pass at you? Uh? Not that I know of? Oh nobody. Nobody threw their panties on the stage. No BRA's coming out show, you know, family friendly? Yeah no nothing. Nothing has that ever happened to you before? Okay, I can't lie. I might have happened a couple of times, but in the funding is like I tried to pay attention to because I don't want to draw attention, Like that's the that's for me, like being a very shy kind of dude, Like that's the most uncomfortable thing is when that happened, and I could tell, like the rest of the room is looking at that. Um yeah, how do you do with that? I don't. I don't pay attention to it. I ignore it completely. You just like leave the Lajaran stage. Well, I'm someone on my team has the wherewithal to walk on stage and subtly remove it before before before the pictures end up on Twitter. Actually, the last time, it's not like it's okay, it's not I've been, you know, playing shows for years. It's not like this happens all the time. It's happened like a couple of times, which is I think why I'm so scarred by it? Um, But it's uh, the last actually last time was I won't say, um, it was. Yeah. It was very uncomfortable and I didn't have like normally I have, like my guitar tech is is it right next to me? And like I He'll come and like help me with these kind of situations. And I didn't have anybody to come and help me in that situation. I was flying solo and man, it was it. It's just awkward. I don't know why it's so awkward for me. Well, Hunter, now that you're a believer and you've seen what this franchise, Eyes and the Love and the Journey is firsthand, Um, would you ever be the Bachelor? Interesting question, my heart, I'm too I don't know. I feel like I'm I'm too sensitive. You'd be perfect TV Gold. You can unless you can sing. You got a cute face, and you just have to deal with the drama. Yeah, if the sensitivity isn't enough, ladies. He's been nominated for five Grammy Awards, including Best New Artists, and won the CMA Artist Award for New Artists of the Year in twenty twelve. Sounds like a bachelor we've never had before. Just say, maybe he'll be seeing more of him. So, Hunter, you did mention Twitter? Um in hopes that nothing scandals ended up there? Where can we find you on social if anyone wants to follow along? Just me at Hunter Hay's Hunt e r h A y ef the Twitter Instagram. Um, yeah, I just got a new number. It's all over everything texting. Oh okay, Well, I will say after this come an episode. You'll probably have many new female followers for sure. For sure. And is there anything that you want to plug? Let us know what you have coming up? Some events, maybe someplace that people can throw their panties on the floor. Sorry, yeah, well we'll be so the kind of the performance, it's it's a it's a new thing. We tour. I love touring with my band and but in the off seasons we love I've still loved playing music. So we'll be taking that same kind of vibe where it's sort of the solo show. It's called The Lab. We'll be doing a few of those this year, and I'm really excited for people to see that the first time. Um. And we just put out an album in August the last year called Wild Blue Part One and it's part one of the three part series. And I feel like this is the most of me that I've ever had in an album for the world to sort of understand me, I make more sense when you hear the record. So, um, I'm excited for everybody to hear Wild Blue Part One. Yeah, awesome. Well we are excited too, can't wait. Yeah, I'm sure. Thanks for having me on. Yeah, no, thank you so much for being here. We look forward to everything that you have coming up. We look forward to seeing you again on the season, maybe in a new role. Idall know. So thank you. You are now friend of the show and we hope to have you back on a Bachelor Happy Hour again. Yeah. Oh I love it. I can't wait. All right, Thanks Tyler, take care you too. Not that I want to end the show on a sour note, but we have not discussed the breakup of Joe and Kendall, who are friends of the show and that and the reason I thought of that is because that was announced on batchel nation dot com. So sad to hear about that. They were one of my favorite couples in Batchel Nation. I know you agree, Becca. I mean I just seeing them here in the studio and seeing their love. I remember I even said to Brian, I was like, Okay, we need to be a little bit more like day. Yeah. I mean I spent some time with them, and I'm shocked, and as I can imagine, all of Bachel Nation is too. I did reach out to Kendall and shot her some of my love. You know, we've all been through breakups. It's never easy, especially when you're in the public eye. So you know, please send them some love if you happen to cross paths with them or side into their DM some You know, we still love both of them and hopefully they can still be on good terms, but it's it's never easy. It's a sad day for rater Nation. Yeah, breakup. We wish them the best and they're both great to individuals, so I know they will find their happiness outside of each other. Yes, Unfortunately it just didn't work out for them. So just like information like that Joe and Kendall the breakup, it doesn't always have to be on a sad no. We have a lot of positive news like our Bachelor Happy our podcast as well, so you can find all that information and so much more on fastnation dot com. Thanks for listening, guys. Thanks guys,
