“Is someone there?” I whispered.
“It’s me,” a young boy’s voice said. I stayed silent for a moment, utterly confused. The kid sounded too young to be a high school student. What was a child doing under the stage in the dark? How long had he been there?
“Who are you?” I asked.
Again, the voice said, “It’s me.”
