00:00:07 Speaker 1: Welcome back to Golden Hour. 00:00:09 Speaker 2: I'm Kathy and I'm Susan, and I'm so happy to be back. How are you, Kathy, I'm great. 00:00:15 Speaker 1: I missed you. I missed you. 00:00:17 Speaker 3: I know you were in a foreign land having a great time that I missed you. I missed someone to disagree with. I miss I missed us giving advice and us arguing over it. So I'm glad you're back and we can get back into life as Trust me, I've missed it as well. I'm like kept thinking one of my missing one am I missing? 00:00:39 Speaker 2: And where I was? The food was terrible. I'm just telling you it always comes down to food with you. Well, I'm a foodie. What can I say? 00:00:46 Speaker 1: Oh my god, I enjoy food? 00:00:49 Speaker 3: No will you? You don't enjoy all food. You enjoy the food you prepare. 00:00:55 Speaker 1: No. 00:00:55 Speaker 2: I like to go out. Oh no, no, no, I like to go out. I like to try different things. 00:01:00 Speaker 1: To Do you like like Brazilian food? Tie food? Do you like all different cuisines? 00:01:05 Speaker 2: Nah? 00:01:05 Speaker 1: All of them? 00:01:06 Speaker 3: There you go, what's your favorite cuisine? I'm going to go with Italian, not necessarily. I like a good steak, of course you do. 00:01:14 Speaker 2: I do tie to me, I like tie, it seems mild boring, Like just maybe I haven't had the right tie. I'd like to be with people that that will specialize in some food group and show me the best of that. Yeah, I just that I'm willing to do. 00:01:32 Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I don't care. 00:01:33 Speaker 3: I just although, can I tell you when I was in the hospital while you were gone, uh huh, the food in the hospital. 00:01:43 Speaker 2: You're gonna tell me it was good, Kat, I'm gonna cry. 00:01:45 Speaker 1: It was good. 00:01:47 Speaker 3: I was like, this is great. Can I come here and eat three meals a day? I mean the only thing that was a little not so great was the asparagus, you know, but was it mosh No, it was too big, it was too thick. I like those thin spirits. But you know, I was like, the chicken was good. The eggs. I had an omelet. I was like, you know what, I forget going to the penthouse at the rints. 00:02:10 Speaker 1: I'm just gonna go hang out in the house. 00:02:12 Speaker 2: You have the hospital food. I'll be the one at the rints at the penhalse for me girlfriends. 00:02:19 Speaker 3: All right, you know, while we're eating hospital food, we got to get into the Hulu get real recap Hulu made a lot of announcements at get Real House, and we're gonnave a quick recap. But first, Susan, how do you feel like I wasn't invited with you? I was there last year, but I wasn't this year. I wonder what the problem is here? Well, you're one for two. I'm zero for two. And I will say, when I was looking online, there were no goldens there. It was all the young'uns and young influencers. So what are we doing wrong? 00:02:49 Speaker 1: Susan? 00:02:51 Speaker 2: We got old, but we're never wisdom and people like us. 00:02:56 Speaker 3: That's right, and we get people off the couch, so you know what, we're all living our lives. 00:03:00 Speaker 1: Right. 00:03:01 Speaker 3: Let's start with the Bachelor. The great news and this I am so excited about that Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise will be back in twenty twenty seven. 00:03:12 Speaker 2: What do you think it had to be? I mean, that's a great show. Are you kidding? And I'm just curious? Are they going to have golden sets this time? 00:03:18 Speaker 3: On it? 00:03:19 Speaker 1: Paradise? 00:03:19 Speaker 2: It'll be money at the end of the show. 00:03:24 Speaker 3: You know, it's funny you say that because we're going to talk about a lot of other new shows that are coming out on Hulu. And here's my thought in general before we get any further. For me, Bachelor, particularly the franchisees, it's always been in my mind telling a great story and hoping that people fall in love, so like love is the backbone of it. But now it's like there might be a lot of money. It takes the focus off of love and the great stories. So I don't know, but if let's just say it goes back to being about love, who do you think the Bachelor will be? Because my understanding is the first thing they're going to film is a Bachelor and then they'll film Bachelor in Paradise, So who do you want? 00:04:09 Speaker 1: Who do you think will be Bachelor? 00:04:14 Speaker 2: Thinking maybe somebody from Taylor season. 00:04:16 Speaker 3: I totally agree with you. There's been talk about Robert Irwin, who won Dance with the Stars, but he's which we're going to get into. He's doing another show that we'll get into in a second. 00:04:25 Speaker 2: I think he's a little young to be the Bachelor, but he will be someday. 00:04:29 Speaker 1: I yeah, well, I think so too. 00:04:31 Speaker 3: I mean, I would love to see one of the guys from Taylor season. 00:04:36 Speaker 2: First. 00:04:37 Speaker 3: I'd like to see Taylor season shown, but I think it would be great to have one of those guys because they are some good looking, nice guys. 00:04:44 Speaker 2: I know it. And also new news Dancing with the Stars the Next Pro. My dream come true. It was to be on that show. But Maara Higgins and Sierra Miller announced as new cast members. 00:04:58 Speaker 1: Okay, he there we go. 00:05:00 Speaker 2: We're getting younger at people with big followings. I think that's a new route that they've taken. 00:05:07 Speaker 3: Yeah, you and I are toast, but Mara has on the show though, Kat they have to have golden to mix it up. 00:05:17 Speaker 2: Maybe they should just have a golden Dancer with the Stars. 00:05:20 Speaker 3: You know what, a golden dating show, a golden travel show, a golden cooking show, all set the table, anything would be great. Mora Higgins, if I'm right, she is like a thirty five year old who is on Love Island. And then the other one, Ciarra Miller came from Summerhouse and Winterhouse. So these are young not teenagers, but they're young influencers, were already current reality TV stars and I think that's where it's going. But also Robert Irwin is going to be the host of this new show of Finding the Next Pro. What they're doing is again shocker, a competition to see who the next pro is going to be for Dancing with the Stars. 00:06:05 Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars, Yep. I mean they're twisting it up, they're changing it up, I guess. I mean they were successful for one hundred years, it feels like, but it's modern day. You gotta you gotta switch things up. 00:06:18 Speaker 1: Well, you do, but I do. 00:06:19 Speaker 3: I do hate to see just personally, I hate to see everything going to money, unless they're handing it to me, in which case I love the idea. The next one, though, is speaking of money, is million dollar Nannies. Okay, what this show is going to be is eight young nannies. They're influencers and it's going to be life changing money. They're gonna be nanny to famous families in my favorite place, Abitha. 00:06:46 Speaker 1: I even have to say it, Abitha. 00:06:48 Speaker 3: And one of them is going to be I think Leoh Barras who worked for the Kardashians. They're touting this as lots of personal drama, you know, lots of god knows what else is going on, but apparently nanny's who are experienced. They're going to compete for money in a beefa What could possibly go wrong there? 00:07:09 Speaker 2: That's the most beautiful island. 00:07:11 Speaker 3: Oh god, I love How about having What do you think about this, Susan, We have raised kids, we have grandchildren. How about they do a golden million dollar Grannies. 00:07:23 Speaker 2: Well, if that we could be in Nanny. 00:07:25 Speaker 1: I said, million dollar Granny Nannies. I love it all. 00:07:30 Speaker 2: Right, Okay, the next one, The Girls. Now it's a twenty twenty six Hulu reality series. Wait, it's about the Kardashian Well, Chloe Kardashian is in it, of course, and she's focusing on her inner circle of real life festies. It's all her friends, Like can you imagine? 00:07:52 Speaker 3: You know what we need? We that's where we went wrong. We're not one of her besties, or we'd be in the show. 00:07:57 Speaker 2: I'm telling you. The show is gonna follow their lives as moms and moguls. So some of them have been on the show, like her best friend that always comes on the show. Yeah, this this I will definitely tune into. 00:08:12 Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, well the next one, you're really gonna want to tune into, Susan, because this this show, you know, everything that has any hint of Italy or Italian you're in. This show is called the Mob. You know what, get in line. I want to be on it first. This is like, it's trader like and they're going to be competing in Italy in a villa. I believe shocker again for more money? Do you there's you know these are you hearing it? It's there's a it's a variation on a theme competition and money in this show. There's they're going to have a dawn you know of the Mob wants to change it and he can change it. He can vote people off. So you and I need to go and be the and clean house. But you know, and Shane from Taylor Frankie Paul season is on it, and you know who else is on it? Maria Georges. If I'm saying her last time right, she's as well? 00:09:13 Speaker 1: Why are we on the Susan? 00:09:15 Speaker 2: We're not on something else recently too that we're going to talk about. 00:09:18 Speaker 3: Yeah, band are punkop. But I want to know why are you and I not invited to the Hulu Get Real party that everyone was at. We're not on these shows? Give me your best take? Why are we not on these shows? 00:09:30 Speaker 2: Out of sight, out of mind? We need to be in their face, showing them, hey, remember. 00:09:33 Speaker 1: Us, all right, we're gonna have to get fun. We are good TV that we are all right? What's the next one? You got? 00:09:41 Speaker 2: Secret? The new Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Orange County? 00:09:45 Speaker 1: Okay? Wait? 00:09:46 Speaker 3: Can I just say the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Salt Lake? Like? I get that because that's where the pond of Mormons live in Utah, Orange County. What Like I say Mormon, I'm gonna Mormons like in in with their husband's change to their arms, surfing in the ocean, like I don't get and. 00:10:07 Speaker 2: Where everybody asked, and no, Jen Flack is not the star, she will not be. 00:10:15 Speaker 1: So I think that. 00:10:17 Speaker 3: I think that, uh, from what I read about this show, it's gonna be a group of you know, I'm not quoting it, but moms, but traditional Mormon wives with other Mormon wives that are more adaptable to change, and and it's going to be you know, one bumping into the other and and there's gonna be a lot of drama there. Shocker, shocker shocker. The only thing I'm not sure of is if there's money involved, because it seems to be that money is involved in all these shows suasan. 00:10:50 Speaker 2: Yes, it seems to be money involved with everything lately. I mean does that make it more dramatic? Maybe? Does that change one's person like when we know the Bachelor that's about love? 00:11:10 Speaker 3: Do you think this is just my question to you. Do you think the days of shows that are Yes, they're always about a good story that goes without saying, but do you think that it's changing to we don't care about the good story as much as we want the competition, the price at the end, and we want to see what people will do to earn the prize money. 00:11:34 Speaker 1: Do you think that's where we're headed? 00:11:35 Speaker 2: I think that's that's what I'm saying. I mean, you can't deny it. How do you feel about that has the pot of gold at the end? 00:11:43 Speaker 1: Right? How do you exactly how do you feel about that? For Bachelor? 00:11:47 Speaker 2: Because we're watching watching Paradise. I thought it was kind of cool, like, oh, there's a little twist here and somebody's going to make some money at it. 00:11:57 Speaker 1: But here's the difference. 00:11:58 Speaker 2: I question whether that love was real. But they put that in there as well, very very good move because when they questioned them singly and they both answered the same that gave me yes. 00:12:10 Speaker 3: But you got to remember, because I was there Bachelor and Paradise the first what four episodes, nobody knew that money was gonna that it. 00:12:21 Speaker 1: Was going to become a competition. 00:12:23 Speaker 3: In other words, all the people that uh matched up, you know, found each other, they were solidified as a couple before they brought money into it. 00:12:32 Speaker 1: We're going forward. 00:12:34 Speaker 3: I think it takes the love out of it and brings in an alliance. Let's susan, you and I come on, we're gonna we're gonna say. 00:12:43 Speaker 2: We're in love just to get the money. 00:12:44 Speaker 3: Exactly right, It becomes about alliances, and so I don't know, I don't know how I feel. 00:12:48 Speaker 2: We shall see, but I'm probably going to tune in to most of them. You know, the mob's going to be on. 00:12:54 Speaker 3: Front and center, soon to be sitting with their baseball bats and you know, but listen, if you go on the mob, you better bring me with you because you and I will take baseball bats to everybody. Will be the dons plural. Now that's a good idea. Wait, we could be the doll You and I could be the Dons. 00:13:11 Speaker 2: I don't want to be the dog. Why not my kids will roll Kathy Head. 00:13:16 Speaker 1: That's the point. Will be great TV. 00:13:18 Speaker 3: We're on it, producers, get us on it, all right, go all right. 00:13:22 Speaker 2: We definitely got to do some recap on vander pomp Villa. So Bachelor Nation was featured on two episodes of vander pump Villa and we watched it. So let's do a little recap. 00:13:36 Speaker 1: Okay. 00:13:37 Speaker 3: First of all, there were so many the Bachelor cast on these episodes of vander pump Villa included Charity, Dotton, Maria, Sean, Mercedes, Ariel, John, Xavier, and Jess. And here's the thing, the not without breaking it for everybody and spoiling it. The reason that they were all there was to celebrate. This was the reason given to celebrate Dawton's thirty third birthday. So Charity and Dawton and all this crowd were there ostensibly. 00:14:11 Speaker 2: To That's why they invited. That's why they were invited to celebrate. So, Kat, have you seen the show before. 00:14:17 Speaker 1: Not vander pump Villa. I had seen seen rules, yes, but which. 00:14:24 Speaker 2: Was a little uncertain about the show. So watching it, I realized again there's a pot of money at the end. 00:14:37 Speaker 1: Not no, no, no, The pot of money is not for the guests. 00:14:41 Speaker 2: Now to understand that it's only for the people she hires for her staff and who shines the most. Now, I don't see how the butler can shine more than the bartender, because the bartender is going to be the one that they're with all the time, because everybody's. 00:14:56 Speaker 1: Drinking, well everybody. 00:14:57 Speaker 2: I didn't realize it was such a they were supposed to hook up with these people and get crazy. I didn't, however, notice our bachelor people were very involved. I will say Charity and Dalton they're together. They weren't involved. They were a class act. 00:15:13 Speaker 3: So okay, So Charity and Dawton were not featured as much. They showed them like coming into dinner for the birthday celebration, for breakfast and and they were very circumspect. I wish I could say the same for our bachelor friends. Sean, I wanted to slap you, I really, I was appalled by your behavior and Jess, you and Nick come on, girlfriend? Uh you know really, I don't know if you know what I'm gonna be. 00:15:43 Speaker 2: A statements coming out like hung like a horse. 00:15:46 Speaker 1: Like well, how about Maria say you. 00:15:52 Speaker 3: With her? I mean, I'm like, I will say as a Golden as a supporter and lover of all things Bachelor and the Bachelor franchise. I was disappointed in the behavior and I know that's not gonna be a popular but but be honest. 00:16:08 Speaker 1: You called me and you said was shut? 00:16:10 Speaker 2: Were literally? 00:16:12 Speaker 1: And what did I tell. 00:16:13 Speaker 2: You that's what the show was about? I really didn't. I didn't either, you now, but you now now once again, we weren't invited the Goldens. Maybe if they invited the whole Golden crew, I wonder if the actions would be quite the same. 00:16:28 Speaker 3: Well, two things I want to say to me my immediate and I called you so everyone knows. I called Susan right after I watched the two episodes UH five and six are the two episodes Season three. Episodes five and six are the ones where the Bachelor folks are there at this castle in England with with the UH that's for vander Palm Villa. Is this season in London or outside of London? 00:16:56 Speaker 1: I called Susan. I said, have you finished watching? She said not yet? 00:16:59 Speaker 3: I said, get ready. It's modern day sodom and Gomorrah. I was just like the behavior, like truth and Darren the hot time and making out with multiple people and stripping down clothes, and I mean, so here's what I thought. It reminded me a little bit of you asked me what Goldens would do. I would never do that because as Golden's the small platform you and I have, I want to be seen as a woman of class, of style who is compassionate. I mean, it's the same problem I had with Paradise, with the Goldens making out in the pool. I wouldn't do that, would you. 00:17:39 Speaker 2: I think it's the young generation, though it's much more free than we ever. 00:17:43 Speaker 1: Was, it's not about being free. 00:17:46 Speaker 2: That is, they don't care kat, they don't care. 00:17:48 Speaker 1: Well, that's different. 00:17:49 Speaker 2: Two things I want to talk about, okay. One when Charity was sitting and answering questions about remember when vander Pump would say, you're not jealous about d D. You remember that conversation? Yes, okay, how she answered it, and the other one saying I don't know if I'd be okay with that of him being around all the exes, and Charity laughed and said, well, I'm fine, But if it were reversed, how would the other one act? Right? Isn't that the topic of the conversation? 00:18:25 Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know what, I think she was fair. She was. 00:18:27 Speaker 3: She said she wouldn't like it, and I would, and I got to be honest, I wouldn't either. 00:18:32 Speaker 2: But so, but you're the chosen one. You need to be comfortable. I mean, he obviously did a show with her. She was you know, it doesn't that's just what it is. My best part was Nick and Jess and when she screams at him Nick and they stopped the car. Oh cat, that's that's all about love right there. 00:18:53 Speaker 1: Okay. 00:18:53 Speaker 2: I hope to God that they do continue to see each other. Although I saw the previews. 00:18:59 Speaker 3: No no, no, no, no, you stop. You called me and you went Kathy. I really hope that Nick and jested and what did I say? 00:19:06 Speaker 1: Are you out of your mind? Did you see? 00:19:08 Speaker 3: If anyone wonders, we talked this way off air? On air, I said, Susan, are you out of your mind? Did you see the previews? The next crowd were women coming in from girls coming in from love overboard and Nick They're all going, oh, look at that, like they they can't wait to get their hands all over those bodies. 00:19:28 Speaker 1: So if I were. 00:19:29 Speaker 2: Jazz and Ariel like thinking, Charlie's all that plus some. He's just a flir o. 00:19:34 Speaker 3: No, I know, Ariel. I think Errol was just playing. She's just having fun. Aer Charlie's not her guy in my mind, Charlie's just you know. 00:19:44 Speaker 2: And he's a flirt. 00:19:45 Speaker 1: He's a flirt. 00:19:47 Speaker 3: He's with her today and another one tomorrow. I think Nick is the same. 00:19:51 Speaker 2: Sean ends up with Hannah of all people. 00:19:54 Speaker 1: Okay, Sean and Hannah. 00:19:57 Speaker 2: Good god, right in front of the Marciano guy. Oh that girl is all over the place. 00:20:05 Speaker 3: Well, so Sean, I love you, Sean, but come on you you're you're you're a fabulous guy. I know you personally, and your behavior is deplorable. John and Alyssa okay, so uh with Nick from the from vander Pump Villa. 00:20:29 Speaker 1: But they're open right, So Nick and I couldn't. 00:20:32 Speaker 3: It was like I was getting a headache watching this, like and I was thinking that this were my children, I'd want to slap them. 00:20:37 Speaker 1: Up side the head. Uh you know, Alyssa. Did you think Alyssa was in Damn? 00:20:43 Speaker 2: I didn't, No, no, no, I mean she was just going along with it. I mean think that's what you had to do on that show. You had to be with somebody. 00:20:50 Speaker 3: I mean, Susan, if you and I and I'm I'm putting a bid out for us to be on the next season of vander pump Villa right after you don't have the mob. 00:20:58 Speaker 1: We're gonna show them. I should be. 00:21:00 Speaker 3: However, However, if this is what you know, if we are just old and I'm you know, harkening back to the Victorian era here. But if that's where it is, okay. But I think you know, in other podcasts we talked with Demi about raising good men, you know, good raising sons to be good men. Well, you know what I think when you're watching behavior like this, it's not teaching anyone in society to be respectful of others. 00:21:32 Speaker 1: It's it's sodom and glemore. 00:21:34 Speaker 2: It's lustful and there's jealousy of Tyler. Get really annoyed with Sage for briefly speaking with John remember that scene? Yeah, but I mean gets pissed off it tries to go to bed with Jazz. 00:21:47 Speaker 3: I mean, listen to what you're reading. Do you think all this is it? Can you chalk it all up too strict entertainment? 00:21:55 Speaker 1: Can you? 00:21:56 Speaker 2: Oh? I was entertained, all right? I was like in shock at the time. 00:22:00 Speaker 3: Yeah, but is it the entertainment that you want to spend your time watching that kind of behavior? 00:22:06 Speaker 2: Not necessarily? Now, okay, you and I it wasn't my thing, it really was. Yeah, I know it was, I was, but I was amused watching these kids. 00:22:14 Speaker 1: I was amused. 00:22:15 Speaker 3: But then I was like, wait a minute, you're part of the Bachelor of franchise. You gotta you gotta behave better, you know, you gotta. 00:22:22 Speaker 2: They were put in that situation. 00:22:24 Speaker 1: Oh so you're telling me that, and tell me that. 00:22:29 Speaker 2: They gave them time and attention. That's how they roll. Okay, they're there to have a good time, and then they walk away and say, oh, that was just a weekend. 00:22:41 Speaker 3: Well you know, and everybody watching it. Then then don't Okay, Susan fair enough, But then don't come to me and say I hope Nick. Wait wait, don't come and say to me, oh, I hope Nick and just are together, because it's not real. 00:22:54 Speaker 1: But it's not real. If it's just a weekend about time. 00:22:56 Speaker 2: They really were into each other and she's so damn. 00:22:59 Speaker 3: Cute, well, let me just say I know, I know just too, I love her. I'm just saying, come on, people, get real, uh Nick. When Nick tells Jesse wants to come and visit in the States or have her visit him in Scotland, I'm raising to meet his mom. 00:23:15 Speaker 1: I lived in Scotland. I'm like, hey, can I come meet your mom? 00:23:17 Speaker 3: Because I'd love to go back to Scotland. Because that's how how much that's gonna last with Jess. 00:23:22 Speaker 2: Yeah, just when got out of the whole show, the most drama was all about Hannah and Marciana and how she is with him, like without the cameras, and then what she does to him in front of the cameras, like that's not fair. This this girl sounds a little. 00:23:40 Speaker 1: I don't know. 00:23:40 Speaker 2: I felt sorry for him. 00:23:41 Speaker 3: I went back and forth with Marciano. First I thought the guy was okay, then I thought he was crazy, and then you get Stacy trying to you know mediate, I'm like, this is it just seemed like do we need to stretch the show? Is this what we're doing now? Like we don't have enough content, so let's just have him have a good argument. 00:23:59 Speaker 1: I mean, really, it was hard to night. 00:24:02 Speaker 2: Alyssa is with John all night but ends up sleeping with Nick, who tried to go to bed with Jess. I mean, this is a freaking mess. 00:24:12 Speaker 1: Yeah, listen. 00:24:15 Speaker 3: The the thing that I loved was they they when they're doing the you know, in the moment interviews, and uh, they asked Jess, oh wait, now I have to think about this. Did they ask Jeff and she no, they asked Nick, I think and he couldn't remember her name. He's like and the producer had to say, Jess, oh yeah, Jess. I'm like, he can't even keep it together long enough. 00:24:42 Speaker 1: To film the show. You know, he's onto the next Love Overboard chick. I mean wow. And then Lisa vander. 00:24:48 Speaker 3: Pump let me just say she is all right. She is sixty five, a little younger. 00:24:54 Speaker 2: Ducks herself was nothing but classic. 00:24:57 Speaker 3: So Lisa, we loved you. You are smart enough to stay out of the fray. 00:25:02 Speaker 2: And then showed a little shock a couple of times. 00:25:04 Speaker 3: Yeah, and but she's still making millions on the show, So good for you, Lisa. I loved it when she brought in Hannah, you know, to say you're not you're not working up to snuff here. 00:25:15 Speaker 1: I mean, really, she's too bad. 00:25:17 Speaker 3: You kime me Sodom and Gomora where nobody's worried about being up to snuff here where they're just worried about the next sexual encounter. 00:25:23 Speaker 1: And in the hot time. 00:25:24 Speaker 2: Young lady's name that got in trouble because she's not with the guests enough, and then she does and then her boyfriend gets all man, he's not even speaking to her. Yeah, I'm like, come on, this girl can't win. 00:25:36 Speaker 1: Yeah it was I can't remember who it was, but I don't know. Sage. It was Sage. It was Sage. 00:25:41 Speaker 3: Yeah, it was Sage, And I don't know. I just I think I think you can make a show like a really entertaining without doing such perverse in some ways behavior. I was just a little disappointed in that, But I know I'm going to take a lot of heat for this. I think you can have love and romance and interesting chaot stories without having some of the behavior that we saw. 00:26:11 Speaker 2: Can we just talk about the settings, the table, the arrangements, the flowers. It was Bridgerton all the way for Dalton's birthday thing. I mean it was gorgeous. 00:26:24 Speaker 3: I mean, Susan next year for your seventieth birthday, Lisa brings Susan and me for Susan celebrate. 00:26:30 Speaker 2: I want to celebrate my seventieth on that show. However, Lisa hire a little older staff, then what will happen? Kathy? Oh, listen, We could say very easy, We're not going to mess around with these kids. But if there's an older staff, I don't know. 00:26:47 Speaker 1: You asked me. 00:26:48 Speaker 3: You asked me when we were talking on the phone. You said, Kathy, would you do you know? Would you make out with a guy? And what did I tell you? I said no, I said I would if it was an age appropriate guy that I was practice you. But you're not gonna see me. You're not gonna see me with a young guy, and you're not gonna see me jumping into bed or taking off my bathing suit and a hot tub or you know whatever. Are using dropping the F bomb because you and I part of the part, and then I'll get off my soapbox. 00:27:16 Speaker 1: You and I. 00:27:17 Speaker 3: The best part about what we get to do, I think is being role models for our generation. 00:27:23 Speaker 2: For women over sixty thinking life is over. 00:27:26 Speaker 1: Life life isn't over. And you don't have to agree, you don't. 00:27:31 Speaker 3: Have to behave like like a whatever pickle Wholly. 00:27:36 Speaker 2: That show got me sucked in. I started from the beginning. I know we had to watched an episode five, watched it from the get go, and see three to finish, because right away when they found that Love Overboard girls were coming, it was very clear the men were already over the bats. 00:27:53 Speaker 3: Wait a minute, wait a second, but that's what I've said. They were over me, and you go, no, I want Nick. 00:27:58 Speaker 2: And j not Nick, and I want them together. 00:28:01 Speaker 3: Did you see Nick's face when he saw the girls. 00:28:05 Speaker 2: I mean it says you need. 00:28:06 Speaker 3: To get off your fairy tale princess wings and start looking at reality here, because. 00:28:14 Speaker 2: I'll tell you, I can't wait all these other new shows that are coming out. I wonder if they're going to be similar. 00:28:20 Speaker 3: Well, I think there's going to be money involved on a lot of them, and you know what, we just got to wait and see. There's two sides to this story, right. One is do what you do the best and and you know, know your audience and do what you do in the best way possible. And I think Bachelor has done. 00:28:37 Speaker 2: That on on reality TV. 00:28:41 Speaker 3: Bachelor is reality TV. I think that all all, but I think the difference is Susan. There are so many new shows now about Love, Love Overboard, Love act love on the spectrum of God. Love is blind. I can't even think of them all. There's so many of them that people feel the need, rightfully so probably to come up with a new, creative something to make their show stand out. I'm sorry that you know that it comes down to money, because you know, not for love nor money. I mean the money's the root of all evil. How many of those old pithy expressions can be said, But I get it. There has to be some change with the times. But I'm i as part of the Bachelor franchise. I just I'm going on record. I hope they don't deviate too far from the wonderful stories and the quest for love. 00:29:35 Speaker 2: Now, my my thing is in reality TV. Like on our show, I was who I am. I wasn't acting. No, do you think that some of them are falling into I'm going to act this out because it's good TV. 00:29:52 Speaker 3: The cast without a doubt. You are absolutely right. 00:29:57 Speaker 2: So how is this still reality TV? Then reality TV is being real? Were you somebody different when you were on the show? 00:30:05 Speaker 3: No, Susan, I'm not going to name names. How many of the Goldens do you know who were not themselves on our show? On Jones season, on Mel's season, we've got how many of them? 00:30:17 Speaker 2: Well, it's changed going down the line because we were the first and we were authentic. 00:30:20 Speaker 3: Yet that's right, So you know, I don't know that it's gonna be interesting. 00:30:24 Speaker 1: You know it's good. 00:30:25 Speaker 3: We're gonna get to the golden hotline because I got to finish up with this so I can set my DVR. There's another old term to what's a DVR, so I can set by whatever to record all these reality TV shows. 00:30:38 Speaker 2: Just talk to the TV. 00:30:40 Speaker 1: I know, hit the hit the microphone, play love overboard. 00:30:43 Speaker 2: Can I think that I now know what hooking up is? 00:30:47 Speaker 3: I swear to god if you didn't know after watching Vinder pump Villa's what hooking up is, there's absolutely no hope. 00:30:53 Speaker 2: For Does somebody get a note to Lisa that we need a golden for my seventieth I want my party, I want the table exactly. 00:31:00 Speaker 1: We're gonna do something way better for you. 00:31:04 Speaker 2: That's all for today's episode, but Kathy and I will be back with part two very soon. We'll see you then.
