<v Speaker 4>on the show. We're going to give you a little
<v Speaker 4>background on our how we became investigators and how we
<v Speaker 4>became interested in the top of the Bigfoot.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Whatever sent us down the rabbit hole, you know, Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>So I guess it was back in nineteen seventy six
<v Speaker 4>is when it started, not the investigations part, but as kids,
<v Speaker 4>we went and saw a movie, the Sasquatch Legend of
<v Speaker 4>Bigfoot or Vice versa. And it was winter and it
<v Speaker 4>was nineteen seventy six, and we were, you know, kind
<v Speaker 4>of working our way, shoveling our drive ways to earn
<v Speaker 4>money to go see this movie at the Ago on
<v Speaker 4>Twin Cinemas and aguon Mass And this all takes place
<v Speaker 4>in Western Mass in West Springfield at this point. And
<v Speaker 4>so we grew up in West Springfield and we went
<v Speaker 4>to this movie and a couple of weeks later about them. Now,
<v Speaker 4>three or four weeks later, it's wintertime and we got
<v Speaker 4>this week snow. It was in December. Yeah, a deep,
<v Speaker 4>deep snow storm.
<v Speaker 2>And yeah, yeah, we had a we had it was
<v Speaker 2>actually a fluffy snow that we had almost twenty eight inches.
<v Speaker 2>And that morning we had all kinds of people in
<v Speaker 2>our driveway, I mean investigators and newspeople, and they wanted
<v Speaker 2>to know what the big tracks were. We were like,
<v Speaker 2>what are you talking about? So our father went out
<v Speaker 2>in the back into the apple orchard with him and
<v Speaker 2>we got these tracks that are in the snow, that
<v Speaker 2>are about twenty inches long, you know, and being we
<v Speaker 2>were just teenagers, were like, wow, this is really cool.
<v Speaker 2>At first we didn't know what it was either. It's
<v Speaker 2>just big tracks. Yeah, they were just just big tracks.
<v Speaker 2>So they were following them. And it actually started in
<v Speaker 2>Robinson State Park over in Agua by Strathmore paper Mill,
<v Speaker 2>coming up the canal ended out that way you came across,
<v Speaker 2>went up and along the canal, up over the railroad
<v Speaker 2>tracks into our backyard, which was an acre of apple trees,
<v Speaker 2>down into our into the ravine, and followed the stream
<v Speaker 2>back out and went across the river because the river
<v Speaker 2>back then used to actually freeze, and it went across
<v Speaker 2>the river, and it was over in Robinson State Park
<v Speaker 2>and they had all kinds of investigators over there and
<v Speaker 2>checking it out in the sat you thing. They had
<v Speaker 2>some investigator from California, one from New York. Bigfoot investigators
<v Speaker 2>now and they're right in our backyard. Yeah, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I mean we were food kids on the block.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, so it was a big to do and
<v Speaker 4>that was kind of our you know, it turned out
<v Speaker 4>to be a nothing burger. A kid ended up turning
<v Speaker 4>himself in and saying it was a hoax that he
<v Speaker 4>had made some plywood shoes, and that was the extent
<v Speaker 4>of it, you know. So, I mean that was that
<v Speaker 4>was kind of our introduction to you know the world
<v Speaker 4>of bigfoot because you know, we grew up here in
<v Speaker 4>the East Coast, and it was never a big foot
<v Speaker 4>that didn't exist, right, you know, that was a West
<v Speaker 4>coast thing. Yeah, and it was new because Bob Gimlin
<v Speaker 4>took a picture.
<v Speaker 2>You know, his birthday's coming up.
<v Speaker 4>There, Patty's birthday, October twentieth, the famous photograph that Bob
<v Speaker 4>Gimlin took of Patty. You know, the Bigfoot is back
<v Speaker 4>in sixty seven, So if we're seeing this movie in
<v Speaker 4>seventy six, you know, it's only ten years just over,
<v Speaker 4>and you know, it barely made its way here.
<v Speaker 2>As far as what a bigfoot is, you know, we
<v Speaker 2>didn't know, and that's why we want to see it
<v Speaker 2>exactly actually, So you know, that was kind of the
<v Speaker 2>extent of it.
<v Speaker 4>We kind of time goes by and you know, life
<v Speaker 4>happens and we start an adventure education business called to
<v Speaker 4>Come Mountain Outdoors and we used to do a lot
<v Speaker 4>of everything adventure education, from canoeing and kayaking, rock climbing instruction.
<v Speaker 4>Everything was on an instructional level, a certification level of
<v Speaker 4>Wilderness first State.
<v Speaker 2>Everything. You know. It was professional development, you know.
<v Speaker 4>To teach people how to be climbing instructors or kayaking
<v Speaker 4>instructors to that. So it was a pretty intense programs
<v Speaker 4>and workshops that we had and we did it for
<v Speaker 4>almost twenty years and we did a lot of school programs,
<v Speaker 4>team building, ropes, courses and things like that, and so
<v Speaker 4>it was a pretty varied business. And part of what
<v Speaker 4>we did was wilderness canoe trips up in the ad
<v Speaker 4>aroundecks and through our business, we would different groups up
<v Speaker 4>for a week, could be Scouts, Girl Scouts, colleges, you
<v Speaker 4>name it. Groups that wanted to go off on a
<v Speaker 4>wilderness paddle and portage.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know, sometimes it was a weekend or fifty
<v Speaker 2>mile or one hundred mile or two hundred whatever. You know.
<v Speaker 2>It was a long time and we've been in this
<v Speaker 2>area of the Atironics up in the Floodwood area for
<v Speaker 2>ten fifteen years and we've been certified guide yep exactly,
<v Speaker 2>and we were in and out of these paddle portage
<v Speaker 2>and ponds all over the place out there. So we
<v Speaker 2>we've been in and out of them and we've camped
<v Speaker 2>on a ninety of them, so we knew the area
<v Speaker 2>very well. And h that's kind of where we started from,
<v Speaker 2>you know, when we you from from that point on,
<v Speaker 2>jump ahead to twenty thirteen thirsteen experience. And it was
<v Speaker 2>on Pink Pond. It was long. We traveled through long
<v Speaker 2>Pond into Ping Pong and the couple of.
<v Speaker 4>Days of portage and paddling to get there anyway. And
<v Speaker 4>it was on long lake or a long pond where
<v Speaker 4>we stayed.
<v Speaker 2>Yep.
<v Speaker 4>The first night we were going to get some dinner,
<v Speaker 4>and then we took off and went up this stream.
<v Speaker 4>We were fishing down to the stream. Well he's paddling.
<v Speaker 2>I went on fishing and I'm catching fish one after
<v Speaker 2>or another every third cast. It was like it turned
<v Speaker 2>into a fishing story instead of going out and getting
<v Speaker 2>dinner thing. And we did that for oh, I bet
<v Speaker 2>you're almost half hour forty minutes, if not a little
<v Speaker 2>bit longer. Until we got to the stream. And then
<v Speaker 2>we started to paddle down the stream. And as we're
<v Speaker 2>going down the streaming, you know it's starting to for me,
<v Speaker 2>it's starting to close, and you're starting to get all
<v Speaker 2>the twigs and stuff overhanging. So I told Tim to
<v Speaker 2>spin it around and well, you can go in. So
<v Speaker 2>he spun around and he went in, and on the
<v Speaker 2>other side, you know, it was opening up where he
<v Speaker 2>got through it. Then it opened up where he actually
<v Speaker 2>was on one side of a beaver dam and he
<v Speaker 2>was going to fish to the other side. Yeah. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>well it was the last time I let him fish. Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>So I'm fishing at this point, and the beaver pond
<v Speaker 4>is you know, maybe a fifty fifty yards wide, if
<v Speaker 4>that not even fifty yards wide, and the beaver dam
<v Speaker 4>is if I'm sitting in the canoe, it's just overhead level,
<v Speaker 4>so it might be four feet tall. And I caught
<v Speaker 4>a fish and I started pulling it in. As soon
<v Speaker 4>as I started pulling it in, these two trees started
<v Speaker 4>shaking like crazy. Those big trees started shaking like they
<v Speaker 4>were in a snow globe, just crazy shaking, unbelievable, just instantaneously.
<v Speaker 4>Just as soon as the fish came out of the water,
<v Speaker 4>I started reeling them in, these two trees started going crazy,
<v Speaker 4>and next thing you know, there's roaring, uh roaring that's
<v Speaker 4>coming out. There's growling, is all kinds of weird noise.
<v Speaker 4>I don't even know how to explain the noises.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, it's a noise that was just it was
<v Speaker 2>so loud, so consect non stop, never and it was
<v Speaker 2>so deep that it bounced off your chest. That's how
<v Speaker 2>I mean, that's how you could feel it. You could
<v Speaker 2>feel the vibrato on your chest. It was crazy. And
<v Speaker 2>it never stopped. It just kept going, so we did.
<v Speaker 2>We were backed away. Yeah, but the trees started either
<v Speaker 2>breaking or still. Yes, the trees were still shaking. And
<v Speaker 2>as we're back in the way, the things are things
<v Speaker 2>are coming out in the water, like he was just saying.
<v Speaker 2>Then we didn't know if they were literally being thrown
<v Speaker 2>at us or if they were coming out of the trees.
<v Speaker 2>But some trees were shaking. There was no problem, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>if that was the case. Because and we sat there
<v Speaker 2>for ten not even maybe ten minutes there trying to
<v Speaker 2>figure out what the heck this was, and then it
<v Speaker 2>got really aggressive sounding, and that's when we started back in.
<v Speaker 2>It just made no sense because we've never we've never
<v Speaker 2>heard or encountered anything like this in the twenty years
<v Speaker 2>that we've been going up there. Yeah, yeah, no, it
<v Speaker 2>was completely what the heck is this?
<v Speaker 4>And you know, kind of scared us because we didn't
<v Speaker 4>know when you know, how to identify what we're listening to.
<v Speaker 2>And then, like you said, it's getting real loud.
<v Speaker 4>It's getting really aggressive vocally wise, and like the vibrations
<v Speaker 4>he's talking about is as loud as it would get,
<v Speaker 4>you could feel it in your you could feel it
<v Speaker 4>in your body. It was get high and loud, it
<v Speaker 4>would feel it, and if it got low, you'd feel that,
<v Speaker 4>just like standing.
<v Speaker 2>In front of an amplifier. Yeah, yeah, very much like that.
<v Speaker 2>So it got pretty crazy loud and we thought the uh,
<v Speaker 2>it was time to leave. Yeah, yeah, we did. We
<v Speaker 2>backed out of there. We got out of there, and
<v Speaker 2>we actually paddled out to the lake about halfway before
<v Speaker 2>it literally stopped. As fast as it started, it stopped. Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Well we're halfway out in the lake and now it's
<v Speaker 4>probably almost ten to fifteen minutes, and this thing has
<v Speaker 4>never ever stopped. It never came up for air. Whatever
<v Speaker 4>was yelling and growling and screaming that ever it was
<v Speaker 4>was pretty mad. So, you know, ten maybe you remember
<v Speaker 4>we were fishing.
<v Speaker 2>We didn't have a wash, didn't have a cell phone,
<v Speaker 2>didn't have anything. Had a fly rod, some some flies
<v Speaker 2>and that was about it. Tweezers and that was it.
<v Speaker 2>To do some work with that. You know.
<v Speaker 4>We weren't expecting this, so yeah, it was completely unexpected.
<v Speaker 2>So we didn't know what it was. So after it
<v Speaker 2>had stopped and we were just sitting there contactly, we're
<v Speaker 2>not talking to each other. We just started paddling back
<v Speaker 2>down the lake and all I said to him was, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you know what he goes, Yeah, he says, we're on
<v Speaker 2>the same side as this thing just happened. About two
<v Speaker 2>hundred yards away is where our campsite was. And it
<v Speaker 2>wasn't one of these deals like you just pack up
<v Speaker 2>and go because it was it was too dark. You
<v Speaker 2>couldn't go anywhere in the middle of nowhere, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I mean the car. You're here, and the car is
<v Speaker 2>like five miles away, maybe further. Yeah, so yeah, you.
<v Speaker 4>Just weren't gonna just paddle away. You had a tough
<v Speaker 4>it out. So it was a scary night, Yeah, for sure.
<v Speaker 4>It was a quiet night. Actually, we had a ripping
<v Speaker 4>fire and then we went as far as you know,
<v Speaker 4>midnight one o clock, standing up and nothing happening, just
<v Speaker 4>uneventful after that, and.
<v Speaker 2>First first dawn though, we were out of there.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, we were thankful. It was uneventful. And like you said,
<v Speaker 4>first light, we were out, we were gone, you know.
<v Speaker 4>And that's what and that's kind of what got us
<v Speaker 4>really started. Yeah, it's twenty thirteen, because I mean, we're
<v Speaker 4>older now, and to have this happened to us, it
<v Speaker 4>was it.
<v Speaker 2>We didn't know what it was. We didn't know what
<v Speaker 2>it was at that point, right, we had no clue
<v Speaker 2>what it was. And then we started hanging out with
<v Speaker 2>some people asking some questions, and we finally got a
<v Speaker 2>computer and got into Facebook and the rest of that stuff,
<v Speaker 2>and we found out that there were people out there
<v Speaker 2>having or had the same kind of incident or something
<v Speaker 2>similar to it. So you start looking into it a
<v Speaker 2>little bit further, you know, you start reading up on it,
<v Speaker 2>talking to other people, and now now you're headed towards okay,
<v Speaker 2>this is maybe this is what happened. Yeah, yeah, no,
<v Speaker 2>it's it's it's kind of bizarre the path that we
<v Speaker 2>took with that particular experience.
<v Speaker 4>Uh, you know, Monday morning quarterback and we're looking at
<v Speaker 4>it as you know, we were there fishing and you know,
<v Speaker 4>the thought on the big foot end of things, Now
<v Speaker 4>that we're thinking it was maybe a bigfoot in their fishing,
<v Speaker 4>we believe it was more than one bigfoot because the
<v Speaker 4>noise never stopped, and the noise went on for almost
<v Speaker 4>ten or fifteen minutes and it never ever stopped, So
<v Speaker 4>that in itself kind of lends itself to being multiple.
<v Speaker 4>You know, something's taken a breath while something was still yelling,
<v Speaker 4>and that's why the different homes.
<v Speaker 2>If not, this thing was massive, well ten minutes, you
<v Speaker 2>know it just you know, it's not. I don't know,
<v Speaker 2>it never ever ever stopped, I'll tell you that. So
<v Speaker 2>that was, in its own right.
<v Speaker 4>Kind of freaky because we didn't know what that was
<v Speaker 4>that didn't bother to come up for air. So now
<v Speaker 4>we go back and we think, well, Monday more than quarterback,
<v Speaker 4>it's probably multiple bigfoot back there. And we went back
<v Speaker 4>the following year as guides, and we measured the two
<v Speaker 4>trees that were shaking, and they were eight to ten
<v Speaker 4>inches around, So these things are almost nine to ten
<v Speaker 4>feet apart. Yeah, these things are not going to be
<v Speaker 4>shaking readily from you know, a whole bunch of college
<v Speaker 4>kids trying to wiggle a tree, or shake a tree
<v Speaker 4>or a bear it was, or a couple bears. They
<v Speaker 4>were just too big to have him shake the way
<v Speaker 4>these things were shaken.
<v Speaker 2>It was just too big. So yeah, going back a
<v Speaker 2>year later and doing some re doing some research and
<v Speaker 2>investigation on it.
<v Speaker 4>And and the stream, the way the way the beaver
<v Speaker 4>dam was shaped, it's kind of apex in a bow.
<v Speaker 4>We believe that now that if there was multiple bigfoot,
<v Speaker 4>then they probably started upstream and they just walked their
<v Speaker 4>way down the stream fishing, pushing all the fish in
<v Speaker 4>front of them into this new beaver pond, this beaver
<v Speaker 4>damned area.
<v Speaker 2>And then you know, they were fine with it all
<v Speaker 2>the way up until I caught that fish. And at
<v Speaker 2>that point one of them said, Nope, I had enough.
<v Speaker 2>These guys got to go. And he's yeah, and he
<v Speaker 2>let us know it, and I know uncertain terms, you know.
<v Speaker 2>We we also came up with the thought that possibly
<v Speaker 2>we always wait. We waited to the end of the
<v Speaker 2>year to where all the kids and the schools went
<v Speaker 2>back to back to the school colleges went back. So
<v Speaker 2>the woods were empty, they were nice, clean empty. We figured,
<v Speaker 2>if we're up there because of that reason, maybe this
<v Speaker 2>is why they were there doing the fishing part that
<v Speaker 2>he's talking about. Pushing him into that into that beaver damp.
<v Speaker 2>It's recognizing patterns. So recognizing that's what they were doing,
<v Speaker 2>because that if you know, the adron that's come come
<v Speaker 2>the end of summer, it empties out and you have
<v Speaker 2>it pretty much to yourself, which is pretty good. It's quiet,
<v Speaker 2>and that's why we were there. And I we believe
<v Speaker 2>that's why they were there. Yep. So you know, that's
<v Speaker 2>kind of how we sum it up. Now.
<v Speaker 4>We believe that they were fishing. We were fishing, and
<v Speaker 4>it just makes good sense. And we had good time
<v Speaker 4>fishing and they were probably having a good time fishing
<v Speaker 4>until we showed up and then you know, kind of
<v Speaker 4>messed up their day and they let us know it,
<v Speaker 4>you know. So, like you said, first light, we were
<v Speaker 4>out of there, and and that was kind of the
<v Speaker 4>entrance to the rabbit hole for us.
<v Speaker 2>Really. Yeah, that got us that That's that got us
<v Speaker 2>going in that direction. Because then we ended up to
<v Speaker 2>go into a couple of the Ohio conferences out there
<v Speaker 2>out at South South Fork, and you know, we got
<v Speaker 2>to listen to a lot of speakers and talk to
<v Speaker 2>a lot of people. That's where we picked up a
<v Speaker 2>lot of friends, and we picked up a lot of
<v Speaker 2>information and that sent us down that towards that road. Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Well with with Salt Fork, it was uh, you know,
<v Speaker 4>meeting Bob Gimblin talking with uh Tom Payne, was it Tom?
<v Speaker 4>It was you know, meeting you know, half the b
<v Speaker 4>f RO crew. We were just new to this stuff,
<v Speaker 4>so it was it was a lot of fun, meeting
<v Speaker 4>a lot of the you know, the TV personalities and
<v Speaker 4>things like that. And then after talking to all these people,
<v Speaker 4>you're realizing that, you know, these guys got the same
<v Speaker 4>experiences as.
<v Speaker 2>You guys got or we have, you know, or maybe
<v Speaker 2>even more. Uh.
<v Speaker 4>Having said that, you know, we felt like, well, you
<v Speaker 4>know this is really legit.
<v Speaker 2>What we experienced was real.
<v Speaker 4>These guys from the top down, meaning Bob Gimlin down
<v Speaker 4>are telling us these things that we experienced over time.
<v Speaker 4>So you know, we believe now that you know, we
<v Speaker 4>were having a Bigfoot experience and that's kind of that
<v Speaker 4>was the driver, you know, after meeting all these folks
<v Speaker 4>and kind of solidifying what we were doing and what
<v Speaker 4>we experience, so you know, it was easy after that.
<v Speaker 4>So you know, we're we're going along and uh, we
<v Speaker 4>have a number of expeditions that we've done for different
<v Speaker 4>groups and whatnot. And we've had out of the different
<v Speaker 4>expeditions that we've done, you know, probably seven total that
<v Speaker 4>we've done, you with different groups than ourselves. Uh, you know,
<v Speaker 4>we've had numerous class A sightings or visual sightings. A
<v Speaker 4>class A would be a visual according to some of
<v Speaker 4>the people. Different groups have different ratings and classifications, I guess,
<v Speaker 4>but you know, we just call it a visual. You
<v Speaker 4>saw it, and that was a visual, So that's what
<v Speaker 4>you did. And you know, we're kind of going into
<v Speaker 4>this now almost twenty years going in fifty sixteen years
<v Speaker 4>or so and having you know, going off and doing
<v Speaker 4>investigations as the Voger Brothers and then doing all these different.
<v Speaker 2>Bigfoot reports and whatnot. We started doing library talks and
<v Speaker 2>people wanted to hear more about what we were doing.
<v Speaker 2>We started these like in the little town of Beckett
<v Speaker 2>out here in western mass you know, we have a mailbox,
<v Speaker 2>a mailbox drop and it's a big Foot drop off. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it's a report box. Yeah, it's the official Bigfoot reporting
<v Speaker 2>station in Western mass at the moment. You know, you
<v Speaker 2>go to Beckett Mass.
<v Speaker 4>And you can make out a report one of our
<v Speaker 4>diggers and a card and whatnot, and you allow you know,
<v Speaker 4>coffee to go and and then we'll get the Bigfoot reward.
<v Speaker 4>And believe it or not, you know, that had kind
<v Speaker 4>of inspired us to start a business, and that's what
<v Speaker 4>we did. So over the years we've we kind of
<v Speaker 4>accumulated all of our stories and experiences and encounters and
<v Speaker 4>made the Cobble Mountain Critter Project took our took our
<v Speaker 4>old our old business and just kind of morphed it
<v Speaker 4>into a youth outdoor complete education thing and moved it
<v Speaker 4>over to a.
<v Speaker 2>To a newer version and now we we uh the
<v Speaker 2>Cobble mount Critter Project is a youth outdoor education business.
<v Speaker 2>It's something that we kind of co founded off of
<v Speaker 2>or co followed off of our count and outdoors then
<v Speaker 2>the brothers Bigfoot correct, we do the Bigfoot in you know.
<v Speaker 2>The the bulk of the Cobble Mountain Critter Project is
<v Speaker 2>a youth outdoor education component.
<v Speaker 4>And what we do is we do talks, podcasts, conferences
<v Speaker 4>or wherever libraries do things like that, and whatever funds
<v Speaker 4>we make goes into the youth outdoor education component and
<v Speaker 4>we're sending kids to camp this year. We're sending a
<v Speaker 4>kid to camp for two weeks and it's going to
<v Speaker 4>cost us one thousand dollars, so that'll happen. And then
<v Speaker 4>we're working with the town of Russell Russell, mass They
<v Speaker 4>has the Russell Montgomery Police Department and they're going to
<v Speaker 4>be making a patch that has our logo the Cobble
<v Speaker 4>Mountain Critter Project in their police patch and we'll be
<v Speaker 4>selling those fundraisers. It's a good looking pat yeah, but
<v Speaker 4>it's a fundraiser and we're integrated into the community and
<v Speaker 4>that's the big part about it. It's a business and
<v Speaker 4>it's just bigfoot moving, you know, speaking you know, youth
<v Speaker 4>out their education really and that's what we're doing with it.
<v Speaker 4>So that's kind of how how the vote or the
<v Speaker 4>Vogel Brothers started the Cobble Mountain Creatter Project and why
<v Speaker 4>we did it. That's that's kind and that's local war
<v Speaker 4>the Cobble Mountain Crewter. So that's why we're using the
<v Speaker 4>Cobble Mountain Cruiter. Everybody in that in that area knows
<v Speaker 4>about it. Yeah, and we've done very well locally advertising,

<v Speaker 4>called me from Albany and another is a local here.
<v Speaker 4>And just the other day, Eric and I I believe
<v Speaker 4>I had another sighting yesterday, but it was from from
<v Speaker 4>the truck and it was a very quick sighting and
<v Speaker 4>it was in a field. Were just happened to go
<v Speaker 4>and past Balance Rock up on Balance Rock Road near Lanesboro, Mess.
<v Speaker 4>So if you're out that way, he heads up, stay
<v Speaker 4>forest out there. Yeah, And you know, we were just
<v Speaker 4>talking and I was looking out the window and all
<v Speaker 4>of the sudden, I says, I'm looking at it. And
<v Speaker 4>then I turned my brother and I says, hey. I says,
<v Speaker 4>either somebody just put a cutout a silhouette out there,
<v Speaker 4>or that was a big foot. And what made me
<v Speaker 4>say that was I think I saw the head turn
<v Speaker 4>and it was odd. That's why I told my brother,
<v Speaker 4>I think I saw a silhouette, but it looked like
<v Speaker 4>a bigfoot. And I saw from the shoulders up completely black.
<v Speaker 4>And this was in where it was there's a parking lot.
<v Speaker 4>The parking lot ends and then there's a cat tails
<v Speaker 4>and frag mighty frag Mighty grows up eight nine feet high,
<v Speaker 4>and this was all of that, and I could still
<v Speaker 4>see the complete shoulders, neck and head, and it looked
<v Speaker 4>like it turned and looked at the vehicle as we
<v Speaker 4>drove by, and so I'm telling Eric, hey, turn around,
<v Speaker 4>let's go check this out. And we turned it right
<v Speaker 4>around when we weren't seconds from turning it around, literally, and.
<v Speaker 2>The kid on the bike was kind of freaked out.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah he was, so so we turned around, we go
<v Speaker 2>back book it into the parking lot and there is
<v Speaker 2>zero nothing there. Nothing, you know, there was noth lately gone.
<v Speaker 2>Whatever was there was wrong.
<v Speaker 4>And it was raining, and for us to venture off
<v Speaker 4>into nine foot Fragmighty looking for a night foot creature
<v Speaker 4>was just kind of disheartening.
<v Speaker 2>So it just was a little, you know, a little off.
<v Speaker 4>So anyways, it was a very brief sighting or an encounter.
<v Speaker 4>This place has a number of encounters actually, I end
<v Speaker 4>numbers of reports right there in that area. So it's
<v Speaker 4>very possible that that was a sighting because I know
<v Speaker 4>what I saw. I've got two or three cutouts here
<v Speaker 4>in our camp and that's what I thought I was
<v Speaker 4>looking at. We turned around and went back and it
<v Speaker 4>wasn't there simple as that. So watching like a.
<v Speaker 2>Duck quacks like a dog gune for sure, there's no
<v Speaker 2>doubt about it. Yeah. But from twenty and thirteen we
<v Speaker 2>start like we were talked about. We started a new business,
<v Speaker 2>the communt Critter Project, and you know it does besides
<v Speaker 2>fundraising and the community, we're out there pushing, pushing the
<v Speaker 2>the opening for people to come out and talk to
<v Speaker 2>us about bigfooting. You know, when we go to a library,
<v Speaker 2>we'll have people sitting there. We know you could tell
<v Speaker 2>who has a story. So when they see you telling
<v Speaker 2>your story, it makes them a little more relaxed. And
<v Speaker 2>this is how we picked up most of our Western
<v Speaker 2>mass stories were off of talking to people that would
<v Speaker 2>never talk about them before. Yeah, we've done better than
<v Speaker 2>a dozen, maybe fifteen libraries, a dozen and so libraries.
<v Speaker 2>And it's always a two hour program.
<v Speaker 4>Our last one was just the other night. We were
<v Speaker 4>up in Pittsfield at the Berkshire Infonyum, big, big, beautiful
<v Speaker 4>library and it was packed forty to fifty people and yeah,
<v Speaker 4>and they were serving snacks.
<v Speaker 2>It was a great time. A lot of questions and answers,
<v Speaker 2>and that's that's the best part about it.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, and that and that usually after you're done cleaning
<v Speaker 4>up and hauling your gear out of the truck, it's
<v Speaker 4>you know, there's a mob of people meeting you at
<v Speaker 4>the parking lot, helping you a load, like your roadies,
<v Speaker 4>and they're telling you their story because you know, finally
<v Speaker 4>they've got an opportunity to speak and somebody will listen
<v Speaker 4>without being Yeah, they're afraid to get ridiculed, made fun of.
<v Speaker 2>And so they can see us do it. It's no
<v Speaker 2>big deal for us.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, So you know, they open up, they give us
<v Speaker 4>their information, and I tell you, it's it's been pretty
<v Speaker 4>wild as far as you know, the bigfoot, the concept.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, it's it's wild enough talking about bigfoot. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>I guess once you're a knower or you've seen it,
<v Speaker 4>it's not a good thing.
<v Speaker 2>It is a big thing. But it's what I mean,
<v Speaker 2>why you see it? You can unsee it. It's yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you're a knower, so now you know it's there. It's
<v Speaker 2>not like now and now what you want to get
<v Speaker 2>It's yeah, you want to get deeper, You want to
<v Speaker 2>get more information. You want to you want to try
<v Speaker 2>to figure out exactly what you did. Yeah, you want
<v Speaker 2>a longer experience. You want to losers, you want to say, yep,
<v Speaker 2>that's exactly who Hey, you know, talk to this thing maybe, uh,
<v Speaker 2>you know. But that's why we you know, that's why
<v Speaker 2>we do it, and that's why everybody else is out
<v Speaker 2>there doing it. You know. They they've had an experience
<v Speaker 2>or they know someone that has and they want to
<v Speaker 2>find it. They want to they want to get a
<v Speaker 2>good visual of it.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, there's some folks out there that you know, we've
<v Speaker 4>we've done a number of other we call them lesser experiences.
<v Speaker 4>We've had numerous things like rock drawing, woofs, wood knocks,
<v Speaker 4>and that's just over almost let's say, fifteen years of investigating.
<v Speaker 4>That's just kind of the way it goes. You know,
<v Speaker 4>sometimes you hear nothing, and sometimes it blows you away
<v Speaker 4>at what you're hearing. Some people that were there click
<v Speaker 4>like Kevin Ramiro, right, he used to do the recordings
<v Speaker 4>and stuff like that, and we go back and sit
<v Speaker 4>and listen to hours of vocals that he would record
<v Speaker 4>and you'd be amazing what it's out there, what you
<v Speaker 4>heard or what you didn't here, and he's picked it
<v Speaker 4>up in his vocals, you know. So it's it's fun
<v Speaker 4>as far as the research stuff because you got all
<v Speaker 4>these kind of cool tools to help you do some
<v Speaker 4>of that. It does some of the work for you.
<v Speaker 4>You can leave recorders if the if the batteries don't
<v Speaker 4>die off, right, and we've had that happen, you.
<v Speaker 2>Know, brand new batteries and then have them die on you.
<v Speaker 2>So that's a tough one. Yeah, there's the uh, you know,
<v Speaker 2>the whole concept of the WU you know, Uh is
<v Speaker 2>this thing flesh and blood? Is it paranormal? Is it alien?
<v Speaker 2>Is an interdimensional?
<v Speaker 4>So there's a whole real good talk on that, uh,
<v Speaker 4>And there's a real serious talk on it because there's
<v Speaker 4>a lot of things. You know, there's a lot of
<v Speaker 4>Eric and I. I think we were flesh and blood
<v Speaker 4>camping and now we're kind of I'm more still flesh
<v Speaker 4>and blood than he is.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, you know, I don't know. I'm while it's
<v Speaker 2>flesh and blood, while that's here. But when it gets
<v Speaker 2>scared or it feels cornered, I believe that it can
<v Speaker 2>it can cop it can pop in and out. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>a fight or flight and all, you know, and it
<v Speaker 2>turns into an orbit all of a sudden, it's not theirs,
<v Speaker 2>and you only end up. Now, you got to remember
<v Speaker 2>you're looking. Let's say this thing is like the one
<v Speaker 2>that I saw, was about nine feet tall, four feet wide.
<v Speaker 2>It had to be. It had to have been eight
<v Speaker 2>hundred to nine hundred pounds. It left one track, one
<v Speaker 2>in a quarter track. That's what That's what was left
<v Speaker 2>on the ground after four days of raining. And there
<v Speaker 2>were twelve people that were there when this was all happening.
<v Speaker 2>Two of us saw it. One saw the bottom half,
<v Speaker 2>the laid part from the waist down, and I saw
<v Speaker 2>from the waist up because there was a tree laying across.
<v Speaker 2>But it never moved. You never saw trees move. You
<v Speaker 2>never heard anything break. Everybody says, well, it could have
<v Speaker 2>been a bear. Well, a bear would have made a
<v Speaker 2>huffing sound or some kind of it would have knocked trees.
<v Speaker 2>Now as it ran away, nothing moved. This was quiet,
<v Speaker 2>like we were standing there looking for it to begin with,
<v Speaker 2>and there was there was nothing there. So we got
<v Speaker 2>twelve people looking at this thing and seeing the same thing.
<v Speaker 2>But we had whistles, we had knocks. We believed that
<v Speaker 2>I believe that what I saw was a bigfoot, and
<v Speaker 2>it was only a forty yard visual thing when I
<v Speaker 2>was looking at it. So forty yards is not that far,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, you know, And I took I took Tim
<v Speaker 2>back the next day, I says, because he was teaching
<v Speaker 2>a fish class for the state here at the camp.
<v Speaker 2>And I said, you got to come back with me.
<v Speaker 2>So I took him back, and I took him back
<v Speaker 2>to the rock that I was standing on and where
<v Speaker 2>I brought out the ruler, I brought out the tape measure,
<v Speaker 2>the range finder. I had everything, or at least I
<v Speaker 2>thought I did. So I took him out to the rock.
<v Speaker 2>I'm telling him the whole story about what was happening,
<v Speaker 2>and I said, can you walk over to that tree?
<v Speaker 2>So he walks over to the tree. He's standing there,
<v Speaker 2>and I said, all right. So I took out the
<v Speaker 2>range finder and I'm looking at it. I said, okay,
<v Speaker 2>you're you're forty yards away. I said, you want to
<v Speaker 2>raise up your hand, So he raised his hand. Wasn't
<v Speaker 2>high enough, so he raised his hat. Wasn't high enough.
<v Speaker 2>So we got a stick and he started going up
<v Speaker 2>with the stick. And when I told him to stop,
<v Speaker 2>I went down to where he was we measured it.
<v Speaker 2>It was almost nine feet tall, anywhere between eight and
<v Speaker 2>a half nine feet. And when I and the reason
<v Speaker 2>why I saw this thing because it teeter tottered with me.
<v Speaker 2>I leaned to the left when I first saw this thing,
<v Speaker 2>and I couldn't figure out what I was looking at.
<v Speaker 2>And when I stood back, and this thing leaned, so
<v Speaker 2>when I stood up, it stood up, and when it
<v Speaker 2>stood up, it kind of turned. And when I when
<v Speaker 2>it turned, that's how I saw how white it was.
<v Speaker 2>And I saw it from just past the shoulders up
<v Speaker 2>over the to the top of the head. But it
<v Speaker 2>was gone. As fast as I saw it, it was gone,
<v Speaker 2>and there was nobody else saw it. Me and the
<v Speaker 2>gentleman that was beside me. There was a guy in
<v Speaker 2>between us with a GoPro. Everybody says, how come you
<v Speaker 2>never get a picture of a bigfoot. Well, when I
<v Speaker 2>saw it, I pointed at it and I started running
<v Speaker 2>towards it. And there was a gentleman to my left
<v Speaker 2>to my right, on different angle, and he came into
<v Speaker 2>the same go pro frame as I I did, at
<v Speaker 2>the exact same time, pointing in the same direction. And
<v Speaker 2>when he was standing there, he was standing in front
<v Speaker 2>of a tree, and behind the tree is where this
<v Speaker 2>bigfoot was. How ironic is that? So when I took
<v Speaker 2>Tim there, we went through the whole thing and we're
<v Speaker 2>looking at it. I come walking around the tree and
<v Speaker 2>Tim stopped and I said, what's up? And he goes,
<v Speaker 2>look at this, and he's the one that found the print.
<v Speaker 2>And so we cast the print. Well, we called our
<v Speaker 2>We called a friend of ours, John. He was on
<v Speaker 2>his way out to a ball game. Anybody who knows
<v Speaker 2>John knows John goes to the ballgame. So we turned
<v Speaker 2>around and I called him up and I said, you
<v Speaker 2>got to come out here. I said, you won't believe
<v Speaker 2>that we've got a print. I said, we're looking at
<v Speaker 2>it right now. And he goes, no way, and I says,
<v Speaker 2>I'm telling you it's here. So he was out on
<v Speaker 2>the highway. He turns around, he comes all the way back.
<v Speaker 2>He had the casting material, so he came back. We
<v Speaker 2>met him out on the dirt road. We got in
<v Speaker 2>this truck and we started driving in. We couldn't have
<v Speaker 2>gotten forty yards in and this loud yell roar, just
<v Speaker 2>like New York, just like New York, came off the
<v Speaker 2>top of the hill. It was like a warning, letting
<v Speaker 2>them know here come then nitwits again. You know. It
<v Speaker 2>was a low roar. It was definitely a warning, but
<v Speaker 2>we still went in. Most people would have left. We
<v Speaker 2>went in and we cast that. And while we're casting that,
<v Speaker 2>I was looking around a little bit more and I said, hey,
<v Speaker 2>what's this? And I could see where this route was across.
<v Speaker 2>There was a root sticking out of the ground just
<v Speaker 2>enough to where the second print it had to be
<v Speaker 2>the toes hitting the bark, peeling it back, but the
<v Speaker 2>ball of the foot was embedded right at the root
<v Speaker 2>and it was a seven foot stride. And that's where
<v Speaker 2>we came up with the other The other print is
<v Speaker 2>is that the same depth as as the heel on
<v Speaker 2>the other ones? It was about three and a half
<v Speaker 2>inches deep, almost four yea and the wall was the
<v Speaker 2>same way, and that was a seven foot stride. Now
<v Speaker 2>you've got something that big to where where can it go?
<v Speaker 2>I mean it had to go somewhere. And the two
<v Speaker 2>gentlemen that were coming down the same path said they
<v Speaker 2>saw nothing and heard nothing, and this thing is heading
<v Speaker 2>in that direction coming We're going right at them. So
<v Speaker 2>where did they go? How's it happen. Why does it happen?
<v Speaker 2>So you got to you gotta be very open minded
<v Speaker 2>because there's too many unexplained things and there's too much
<v Speaker 2>people's people that come out and they put their reputations
<v Speaker 2>on the line and to tell you that, hey, this
<v Speaker 2>is out here, this is what I saw, you know,
<v Speaker 2>and it could destroy some reputations. It almost destroyed by
<v Speaker 2>V Giblan's Giblin's life, so I mean him and his
<v Speaker 2>wife had they went through some wicked ridicules.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, there's well, we get people that talk about
<v Speaker 4>it now only because they you know, it's forty to
<v Speaker 4>fifty sixty years later. It happened when there were kids
<v Speaker 4>or something like that, and now they're okay to talk
<v Speaker 4>about it. Yeah, thanks them a long time to open
<v Speaker 4>up some So it's it's it's one of those topics
<v Speaker 4>that still gets a lot of ridicule, but it's because
<v Speaker 4>of the TV shows it's opened up more.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's softened it up a little bit. It's not
<v Speaker 2>you know.
<v Speaker 4>Plus you've got the uh, you know, the pop culture
<v Speaker 4>icon kind of component to it as well with the
<v Speaker 4>slim gym thing, and you know, discuss is everything's got
<v Speaker 4>a Sasquatch to it now, you know. So it's a
<v Speaker 4>very common thing. It's pop icon, pop culture. So it's
<v Speaker 4>more people open up. It's not so bad. Yeah, it's yeah,
<v Speaker 4>it's not a big scary thing. And now that they
<v Speaker 4>see us at a library, you know, they come out
<v Speaker 4>and they talk and they call us on the phone.
<v Speaker 2>They leave the message is so we're you know, we're
<v Speaker 2>actually getting What we started was to receive messages here
<v Speaker 2>locally Western Mass, eastern New York, northwestern Connecticut, you know,
<v Speaker 2>all that stuff, and.
<v Speaker 4>We start taking names and where they are, and you know,
<v Speaker 4>do the data and you know, log everything, and we
<v Speaker 4>compile a list of what's going on here, primarily around
<v Speaker 4>Western Mass. So you know, I think we're not interested
<v Speaker 4>in Western Mass, New England, you know, but we want.
<v Speaker 2>To learn what's going on here. So the more we're
<v Speaker 2>involved with the community, the more people hear about our community, Uh,
<v Speaker 2>they are a little more opened up. You know.
<v Speaker 4>We we sit there, we're you know, uh, supporting the town,
<v Speaker 4>supporting the police departments and food pantries, all kinds of
<v Speaker 4>things that So it's it's not like, you know, I
<v Speaker 4>guess that's what you need to do if you want
<v Speaker 4>to be. If you want to get reports and things
<v Speaker 4>like that and have people loosen up, is you've got
<v Speaker 4>to become part of the Fabrica town. And you know,
<v Speaker 4>we're the big guys, so it's you know, it's not
<v Speaker 4>a big thing. These guys see.
<v Speaker 2>You, Hey, what's up guys? You know, blah blah blah,
<v Speaker 2>and they give you this or that, and you know,
<v Speaker 2>hooke fun at it. I mean it's Bigfoot, so poke
<v Speaker 2>some fun at But when they have when they have
<v Speaker 2>something happen or an encounter that they can't explain, we're
<v Speaker 2>the ones that they're calling. When they come over after
<v Speaker 2>by themselves, they say, hey, you know what my father
<v Speaker 2>in law was telling me this, or my uncle was
<v Speaker 2>my brother. Yeah, so it's it's all kinds of fun
<v Speaker 2>stuff like that that we're dealing with now. But you know,
<v Speaker 2>it's like some of the questions we were asked for,
<v Speaker 2>is Bigfoot violent? You know? And yeah, I've been asked
<v Speaker 2>that a few times too, But I can't answer that
<v Speaker 2>because I really I don't know. Well, I mean violent,
<v Speaker 2>will it throw rock? Well, I call that a warning
<v Speaker 2>when they throw the rock, it's a warning if they
<v Speaker 2>wanted to be violent. I believe that its accuracy is impeccable.
<v Speaker 2>I think that could be one way that they do
<v Speaker 2>hunt because their accuracy we would be that good. So
<v Speaker 2>when they throw rocks or they throw logs or sticks,
<v Speaker 2>unless they unless it's coming right at you, I think
<v Speaker 2>it's just the warning and they're telling you to get
<v Speaker 2>out of there. Because we have had many of rocks
<v Speaker 2>thrown at us, straight up rocks, twigs, we have, yes,
<v Speaker 2>we've had we've had little ones and we've had the
<v Speaker 2>big ones, and we but we have we have casts
<v Speaker 2>that are small casts, but juvenile. That's what we believe.
<v Speaker 2>We believe that they're juvenile. That's a whole nother story.
<v Speaker 2>That's that's uh labor day, Labor Day twin two, and
<v Speaker 2>it was, uh, you know, basically we get up here
<v Speaker 2>at the same place Eric had is first and original
<v Speaker 2>for this is an in Savoy, Massachusetts, Balanced Rock Savoy. Now,
<v Speaker 2>if you were to google this, it's in the middle
<v Speaker 2>of nowhere. It's in the middle of the woods, in
<v Speaker 2>the middle of nowhere.
<v Speaker 4>There's some footpaths to get to where you got to go,
<v Speaker 4>and that's how we get there. So, you know, we
<v Speaker 4>go there and we're just going you know, for the
<v Speaker 4>sake of time. This was back during.
<v Speaker 2>During yeah, during COVID, it's when everybody was really at
<v Speaker 2>the end of COVID and they were everybody would just
<v Speaker 2>wanted to get out. So we were going to go fishing.
<v Speaker 2>That that's how it all started. We were going to
<v Speaker 2>go fishing, and we went from one of one fishing
<v Speaker 2>hall to another. But there was somebody else in it,
<v Speaker 2>and they all had the same idea. It was to
<v Speaker 2>get out, which is all right because that's what we
<v Speaker 2>were trying to do. So we did that for about
<v Speaker 2>two hours and then we ended up saying, well, let's
<v Speaker 2>go squatching.
<v Speaker 4>Let's go out to Savoy. Yeah, we get out there
<v Speaker 4>or park. We go to the same place. We cross
<v Speaker 4>this creek and we get out there. It's been raining,
<v Speaker 4>it's still raining, and we get out there, we get
<v Speaker 4>the phones out work you know, filming and recording kind
<v Speaker 4>of anything happens, because you know, we're starting to hear
<v Speaker 4>rocks and twigs and little whistles, and so we broke
<v Speaker 4>out the phones. But having it rain and you know,
<v Speaker 4>the phones they don't record very well. And it's had
<v Speaker 4>it's been raining now for about three four days or
<v Speaker 4>days anyway, Uh.
<v Speaker 2>The place we're in has been recently logged, meaning probably
<v Speaker 2>ten ten years, twelve years. So there's a lot of
<v Speaker 2>new green growth shrub twenty feet high, you know, ten
<v Speaker 2>fifteen feet high, real thick, real dense, and it's you know,
<v Speaker 2>you're not going to see through it in you know,
<v Speaker 2>with all the green leaves on it, you don't see
<v Speaker 2>through it. So it's a very dense forest area thirty
<v Speaker 2>yards and so we get in there. We have these
<v Speaker 2>whistles and rocks being thrown at us. We decided we're
<v Speaker 2>going to leave and listen, and we go back to
<v Speaker 2>our truck and.
<v Speaker 4>We're listening, or we're talking about what's going on, and
<v Speaker 4>Eric throws some battery in his recorder and we take
<v Speaker 4>the recorder out this time and we you know, it's
<v Speaker 4>all new batteries, new packaging, all tested, tested and everything
<v Speaker 4>inside the truck.
<v Speaker 2>By the time we got it up there, the batteries
<v Speaker 2>were dead.
<v Speaker 4>So we were we were recording for a little while,
<v Speaker 4>and then uh, this is a second time up the mountain.
<v Speaker 4>Rocks got bigger, sticks got bigger, whistles got a little louder,
<v Speaker 4>and the things coming at us, sticks of rocks were uh,
<v Speaker 4>you know, they'd land in the ferns. The ferns are
<v Speaker 4>you know, two feet high, and you would land three
<v Speaker 4>four five feet away.
<v Speaker 2>And just kind of, you know, make some noise, and
<v Speaker 2>it was close, but they weren't big rocks, you know.
<v Speaker 2>So that's what kind of threw us off.
<v Speaker 4>We at first we just were like what yeah, And
<v Speaker 4>the whistles were very low toned, like it almost sounded
<v Speaker 4>like kids messing with that.
<v Speaker 2>You know, Hey, I'm over here and this.
<v Speaker 4>Guy over here. Yeah, he whistled over there and then
<v Speaker 4>back and forth, and they're throwing rocks and twigs.
<v Speaker 2>And it's like, hey, here's the let's say, let's just
<v Speaker 2>playing the game with us, you know.
<v Speaker 4>So we we left the second time because it got
<v Speaker 4>pretty weird. The nois or rather rock got pretty close,
<v Speaker 4>and we decided we're going to leave and go down
<v Speaker 4>to the truck, and we do. We ended up leaving,
<v Speaker 4>go and have dinner, and we we go down come back,
<v Speaker 4>and uh, we decided at dinner we're going to come
<v Speaker 4>back and try to get to the top.
<v Speaker 2>We go, we park, we get there and we just
<v Speaker 2>book it. We get right up to the very top
<v Speaker 2>and as we get up there, Uh, there's a like
<v Speaker 2>a vertal pool mud puddle plus has been raining for
<v Speaker 2>the four days. It's the only it's the only mud
<v Speaker 2>puddle up there, just right at the topic at beautiful Lot,
<v Speaker 2>and it's right near the balance rock. Yeah, it's right there.
<v Speaker 2>It was right near there. So we get up there
<v Speaker 2>and sure enough there's two tracks that we find right
<v Speaker 2>there in the mud, and it's you know, yeah, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>we couldn't believe it. We're having this experience. We get
<v Speaker 2>chased out of the woods a couple of times, and
<v Speaker 2>all of a sudden we're running into these and they
<v Speaker 2>were odd shaped barefoot tracks. They were not bears. They
<v Speaker 2>were either human or bigfoot.
<v Speaker 4>And I'm bearing on the bigfoot because of the you know,
<v Speaker 4>the context of the story and what was happening to us.
<v Speaker 2>So where this whole place is, You're not going to
<v Speaker 2>be out there barefoot. It's just not going to happen.
<v Speaker 2>It's out in the middle of nowhere in the woods.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, a nine ten inch track. It's as big as mine.
<v Speaker 4>It's like it was a nine. It was very deep,
<v Speaker 4>but it was a size shoe that you know, would
<v Speaker 4>fit me a size nine. And so the long story
<v Speaker 4>short it had some weird shape to it. It had
<v Speaker 4>some like the toes were broken. They were very splayed out.
<v Speaker 4>The heel was fairly wide on one uh and it
<v Speaker 4>seemed to have no mid tarsal or they had no
<v Speaker 4>There was no the mid tarsal break was there. There
<v Speaker 4>was no connections on a foot right so, and there
<v Speaker 4>were no claws like you would find in a a track.
<v Speaker 4>I mean this looking at it is either no, it's
<v Speaker 4>one or the other. But that's it. So you know,
<v Speaker 4>it's raining out. We got nothing really to cast because
<v Speaker 4>we were going to go fishing. We had run into
<v Speaker 4>this situation. We didn't plan for it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, we believe, you know, second guessing this whole situation
<v Speaker 2>was that when we went back into the third time,
<v Speaker 2>they weren't expecting it, and I we believed that we
<v Speaker 2>spooked them enough and they ran through that puddle and
<v Speaker 2>that's how we got those those two friends. They didn't
<v Speaker 2>know what to do because they're just little, you know,
<v Speaker 2>they're juveniles, and they never expect us to come in.
<v Speaker 2>Otherwise I don't think they would have been there. But
<v Speaker 2>the part about it was the tracks were dry. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>they were right next to the pond or next to
<v Speaker 2>the puddle and they were dry. They were like you
<v Speaker 2>just put your foot in and pulled it out, you know,
<v Speaker 2>the whole and there it was perfectly dry, and otherwise
<v Speaker 2>it would have been filled up with rain because it
<v Speaker 2>was raining. Currently as we were speaking, it was raining
<v Speaker 2>and we're looking at these two tracks that now we
<v Speaker 2>decided we're going to cast or we don't have material,
<v Speaker 2>so have we built a birch bark trap and a
<v Speaker 2>tripod and the TP over it so we cover it up. Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>We didn't want something to wreck the track, and it
<v Speaker 4>was getting late, so we left.
<v Speaker 2>We're going to come back the next morning. It's six
<v Speaker 2>o'clock in the morning when I have to tell you
<v Speaker 2>him out, I was telling him. I so let's get there,
<v Speaker 2>you know, early morning so we can beat the kids
<v Speaker 2>waking up. Yeah. Yeah, we get up there and at
<v Speaker 2>six o'clock in the morning, it's still raining a little bit,
<v Speaker 2>and we get up there and we're going to cast
<v Speaker 2>the tracks, so we'd mix up all the mud, put
<v Speaker 2>the forms out, cast both tracks, and then we take
<v Speaker 2>a walk off from where we were casting. Now we're
<v Speaker 2>letting the tracks dry, and we go over where k
<v Speaker 2>had his bigfoot experience. It's, you know, we're kind of
<v Speaker 2>run meniscing and bull you just kind of hanging out
<v Speaker 2>in the cash. I walked, Yeah, I figured all these years,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I see if I could find that in
<v Speaker 2>my rock again. I walked right to that rock. It's
<v Speaker 2>like I know exactly where to walk when I'm up there.
<v Speaker 2>And there was a lot of limbs down this time.
<v Speaker 2>So we're standing there, We're just kind of talking and
<v Speaker 2>I'm saying, no, this was a day just like when
<v Speaker 2>I saw mine. You know, the the rain, the quiet,
<v Speaker 2>the woods were super quiet, and then all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 2>it couldn't have been seventy eighty yards away from us,
<v Speaker 2>directly out in front of us, there was a knock.
<v Speaker 2>It was a wood knock, it was it was absolutely
<v Speaker 2>wood on wood, and it was just one big bang
<v Speaker 2>Louisville slugger type. It was unbelievable. And all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 2>in different spots out in front of us, something rose
<v Speaker 2>off the ground. Something got up off the ground, multiple
<v Speaker 2>something in multiple different places. No noise, no you know,
<v Speaker 2>no stretching, no nothing, and they just started moving. We
<v Speaker 2>never saw they never made a sound. Did you you
<v Speaker 2>you heard it get up and after that, you didn't
<v Speaker 2>hear nothing, right, And it's.
<v Speaker 4>Almost instantly, instantaneously after the.
<v Speaker 2>Right after the window, it's almost like it was being guarded.
<v Speaker 2>And when they realized that we are still standing there,
<v Speaker 2>they said they did a wood knock, which was the
<v Speaker 2>alarm to get up and move, and whatever was there
<v Speaker 2>was just crawled away. And we believe that was the
<v Speaker 2>young ones they were, they were still sleeping, because it
<v Speaker 2>was the young ones that we chased out. And now
<v Speaker 2>we have us. We have two tracks, one going in
<v Speaker 2>one direction, one going in the other, and they're both
<v Speaker 2>small prints and one has broken toes and they're different
<v Speaker 2>to different two different tracks, two different sizes. So I
<v Speaker 2>saw an adult one and here here we're having an
<v Speaker 2>encounter with juvenile ones. We believe that's what they are.
<v Speaker 2>There would be no other. I can't imagine anybody, a
<v Speaker 2>human being there after four days of rain, barefooted in
<v Speaker 2>the woods. I mean, we just don't have those kind
<v Speaker 2>of hermits out here, you know. Plus they would have
<v Speaker 2>had to be throwing rocks and whistling at each other, true,
<v Speaker 2>all the way through the woods at us, because that's
<v Speaker 2>why we got walked out, right. So so there there's that,
<v Speaker 2>So they'd had to be really messing.
<v Speaker 4>With your hardcore for a couple of kids to be
<v Speaker 4>messing with a couple of guys that were off that
<v Speaker 4>we're going to just go fishing.
<v Speaker 2>So that's that's, you know, that's the story on on
<v Speaker 2>our And then well then what we did after that
<v Speaker 2>knock and we heard them, we heard those things get
<v Speaker 2>up and move. Tim says, well, let's get out of here,
<v Speaker 2>and I was like, well, I want to see what
<v Speaker 2>they are, because you know, I saw one. I wanted
<v Speaker 2>to see if I could see another. But you know,
<v Speaker 2>like he said, he said, you know, that could be
<v Speaker 2>a bunch of bears. It could be this, it could
<v Speaker 2>be that. And I said, okay, let's get out of here. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>So we turned around and we went back and I
<v Speaker 2>laid out the plastic bag and I just I was
<v Speaker 2>hoping that they were hard enough that they wouldn't break
<v Speaker 2>when I took them and flipped them over. And I
<v Speaker 2>was lucky enough that they flipped over and they didn't
<v Speaker 2>turn around, and they didn't they didn't break, they didn't
<v Speaker 2>do anything. And I stuffed them into the backpack and
<v Speaker 2>we got out of there. We went down the hill. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>contemplated on what just happened. You know, in two days,
<v Speaker 2>we had some incredible things happened to us, you know,
<v Speaker 2>from whistles, knocks, small little pebble rocks being thrown, the
<v Speaker 2>finding tracks and having a wood knock and all of
<v Speaker 2>a sudden the things moving. Yeah, that was pretty that
<v Speaker 2>was pretty intense weekend. So then we come back, we
<v Speaker 2>cast the tracks. We got to let them wait, you know,
<v Speaker 2>probably a week before.
<v Speaker 4>We can actually kind of clean them up and make
<v Speaker 4>heads and tails out of what we're looking at. And
<v Speaker 4>when we finally did, first person we contacted was doctor Meldrum.
<v Speaker 4>And doctor Meldrom he you know, he instantly, you know,
<v Speaker 4>we sent them photos. We never give him any backstory
<v Speaker 4>or anything. We just give some and we've sent them
<v Speaker 4>a number of photos, you know, honestly, and and he's
<v Speaker 4>you know, usually saying, hey, that's nice or it's got
<v Speaker 4>potential you know this that or the other thing. But
<v Speaker 4>this time, because of the size of the foot, he
<v Speaker 4>wouldn't he wouldn't jump on the fence of the big foot.
<v Speaker 4>What he did say was because they're human size, human like,
<v Speaker 4>what these tracks had was character. You know, they had
<v Speaker 4>some broken you know, we call them the East West
<v Speaker 4>toes because they were broken simply the second and third
<v Speaker 4>toe to stray and they go in two different directions.
<v Speaker 4>And you know, I'm sure mom and Daddy are going
<v Speaker 4>to let their kids out there were broken toes or
<v Speaker 4>that's probably how they got them broke, you know, something
<v Speaker 4>like that, you know, stubbing your toe, getting it cracked.
<v Speaker 4>And so these things, said, uh had great characteristics. Doctor
<v Speaker 4>Mildren said, well, because.
<v Speaker 2>They were little, and I believe that there's not there
<v Speaker 2>aren't any others to match it up with midterms. Break
<v Speaker 2>actually has that whole floating section in the middle.
<v Speaker 4>It was really really cool to have him look at
<v Speaker 4>it and say, I like them guys, but you know
<v Speaker 4>it's two human solf.
<v Speaker 2>Hey, that's fine. That's what his job was. To look
<v Speaker 2>at the story. When you when you see the situation,
<v Speaker 2>when you see the how how the tracks came up,
<v Speaker 2>came about through that story, it's it's it's in the
<v Speaker 2>same vicinity where where I had mine. And then there's
<v Speaker 2>other stories out of there of bigfoot sightings. So it's
<v Speaker 2>a very active area. So anything is a possibility, right, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>you know, even though we didn't see it, those tracks
<v Speaker 2>are there. I haven't found anybody else that has small
<v Speaker 2>prints or juvenile print or what they'll say is a
<v Speaker 2>juvenile print yessides these. I remember watching a podcast doctor
<v Speaker 2>Meldrim saying that there isn't a library of prints of
<v Speaker 2>juvenile so they don't have a database to look or
<v Speaker 2>pull from. So, you know, how big is a footprint
<v Speaker 2>from a two year old Bigfoot or a six month
<v Speaker 2>old Bigfoot? Is it what I just cast an air cast?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. You don't know, because we don't have
<v Speaker 2>a record or a library, so it's it's kind of
<v Speaker 2>out there assumption maybe, But so given the context of
<v Speaker 2>the story and what happened to us, you know, that's
<v Speaker 2>what we believe. So we believe we had a juvenile
<v Speaker 2>encounter with multiple and we cast two tracks that you know,
<v Speaker 2>if you've got casts that you've taken, that our juveniles
<v Speaker 2>send us a picture. We'd love to see him to
<v Speaker 2>compare to see where we have whole nine years.
<v Speaker 4>That'd be great, That would be honest, you know, that
<v Speaker 4>would be very helpful in some of the research that
<v Speaker 4>we do. You know, part of what we're doing with
<v Speaker 4>the Cobble Mountain Critter Project is trying to I think
<v Speaker 4>at the end of the year we're having a we're
<v Speaker 4>still in the final stage you' putting together, but we're
<v Speaker 4>going to do a researcher rendezvous and it's going to
<v Speaker 4>be Bigfoot researchers getting together collaboratively in one area in
<v Speaker 4>our camp right here and where we held the Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>we had the Cobble Mountain Critter Festival June seventh last year,
<v Speaker 4>so we'll have it here at the same site, at
<v Speaker 4>the Cobble Mountain Critter Place. And you know, it's going
<v Speaker 4>to be researchers a big name, no name, any name.
<v Speaker 4>We want researchers that are going to come and tell
<v Speaker 4>us their story. What we're looking for is not just
<v Speaker 4>a story. What your research, your investigations, How do you
<v Speaker 4>do this, how do you do that? What happens if
<v Speaker 4>this happens. We're looking to create patterns. We're to see similarities.
<v Speaker 4>Is your Bigfoot in New York the same as ours?
<v Speaker 4>Or is it in Virginia?
<v Speaker 2>Is it different? You know, if we're down the floor,
<v Speaker 2>it is it different. So we all kind of have
<v Speaker 2>these theories and ideas and we talk, but this is
<v Speaker 2>going to be a place where we can get together
<v Speaker 2>and and you know, and and try to have a
<v Speaker 2>conversation and try to put something together, so there's a
<v Speaker 2>network of people that are on the same page as
<v Speaker 2>to what bigfoot behaviors are going on.
<v Speaker 4>You know, if somebody's got something going on down in
<v Speaker 4>Pennsylvania or Maryland or something like that and they're not
<v Speaker 4>sharing that information, and I have the same situation up
<v Speaker 4>here in Western mass then it's new.
<v Speaker 2>You know, I don't.
<v Speaker 4>There's no one sharing information, you know, So how do
<v Speaker 4>you know if it's a big foot thing or pattern
<v Speaker 4>or this or that if no one's sharing information.
<v Speaker 2>So that's the whole premise of this thing we want
<v Speaker 2>to do, you know, a collaboration of people doing research
<v Speaker 2>work and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, it'll it'll be good,
<v Speaker 2>it will be fun, it'll be a new it. It'll
<v Speaker 2>be a new stepping stone for us. We're from the
<v Speaker 2>Rhonda from the festival to the Rendezvout and then next
<v Speaker 2>year we're going back to the festival, so we're gonna
<v Speaker 2>keep it road rotating. So it should be it should
<v Speaker 2>be good, and it should be a lot of fun. Yep. Uh. So,

<v Speaker 2>lot of outdoor education, school work, ropes, course team building,
<v Speaker 2>things like that with football teams, classes, different groups and whatnot.
<v Speaker 2>And we're in a little town called Lakeville, Connecticut, at
<v Speaker 2>this little private school I won't give them up right,
<v Speaker 2>but little private school in northwest Connecticut.
<v Speaker 4>And we were the guys, we were the adventure guys
<v Speaker 4>out there in northwest Connecticut. We did a lot of
<v Speaker 4>team building programs, a lot of boarding schools, private schools,
<v Speaker 4>things like that, and we used this one particular mountain
<v Speaker 4>and you know, just it was nice, private and it
<v Speaker 4>was quiet, and they had a ropes course up there
<v Speaker 4>that we would use.
<v Speaker 2>So we're up there for a weekend.
<v Speaker 4>And we've been working with these programs now for ten
<v Speaker 4>years or so, and.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, same spot, same same area, So we've been down
<v Speaker 2>there quite a bit.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, so we get down there and we're having a
<v Speaker 4>big uh burgers and whatnot. The kids are walking up
<v Speaker 4>the mountain. They do a Bible study up the top
<v Speaker 4>of the mountain. They go up to the very top
<v Speaker 4>of the mounta where this chimney was or it used
<v Speaker 4>to be a cabinet burned down, and they go up.
<v Speaker 4>They do an hour or two Bible study, and then
<v Speaker 4>they come down and Eric and I are fixing dinner
<v Speaker 4>and the grill, and you know that that's kind of
<v Speaker 4>when all of a sudden, this gint.
<v Speaker 2>Well they yet, well, they came down. The they all
<v Speaker 2>came down and they're sitting around the the it's about
<v Speaker 2>thirty people. They're sitting around on the picnic tables, under
<v Speaker 2>the tar. But we're in there, We're getting ready to
<v Speaker 2>give them dinner, and I'm pouring a coffee and the
<v Speaker 2>pastors to my left, Tims to my right, And as
<v Speaker 2>I'm pouring a cup of coffee, from the top of
<v Speaker 2>the mountain where they just came from, there was a
<v Speaker 2>high pitched sirene sound like you flipped the switch and
<v Speaker 2>it went on and it went for like ten fifteen seconds,
<v Speaker 2>maybe a little bit longer, and it just shut up,
<v Speaker 2>and all of a sudden, the pastors just looking at me,
<v Speaker 2>and his eyes are really huge, and I said, yep,
<v Speaker 2>I says, I said. I looked at him and all
<v Speaker 2>I said was yep, And Tim says, yeah, bigfoot. And
<v Speaker 2>it came over on the arc and he just started
<v Speaker 2>laughing because he was like, he says, I can't believe that.
<v Speaker 2>He goes what it was it? And I said, well,
<v Speaker 2>we don't know, but we have a good idea or
<v Speaker 2>what it was, because there's no you know, everybody says,
<v Speaker 2>you know it was there a Sireene up there was
<v Speaker 2>there a volunteer Sireene air raid thing from back in
<v Speaker 2>the day. There's nothing up there. It's just a mountain
<v Speaker 2>and a burnt down house with a chimney, said nothing
<v Speaker 2>up there.
<v Speaker 4>So what we heard was a siren h and that
<v Speaker 4>was the first plant and we kind.
<v Speaker 2>Of say that it's a bigfoot whistle. Today we call
<v Speaker 2>that a bigfoot whistle. It was just very loud. Some
<v Speaker 2>of going through the investigations later on talking to some people,
<v Speaker 2>they told us that that was what they would classify
<v Speaker 2>as a big foot whistle too. Yeah, they had the
<v Speaker 2>similar experience on the Long Trails. Have been multiple reports.
<v Speaker 4>Similar to this, and it's we're classifying as a whistle.
<v Speaker 4>So that night we had a whistle. Then all of
<v Speaker 4>a sudden, the coyotes start going off. They're yipping and
<v Speaker 4>yipping and yip, and there's probably half a dozen of
<v Speaker 4>them there so and it.
<v Speaker 2>Sounds like they're on a kill. So the coyotes are
<v Speaker 2>just going nuts vocally, they're just you know, yipping like crazy.
<v Speaker 4>And then a little while later the owls start going off.
<v Speaker 4>And this is in the springtime, so there's probably a
<v Speaker 4>territorial thing going on, but there's probably at least you know,
<v Speaker 4>three or four, maybe half a dozen owls that are
<v Speaker 4>kind of battling it as well. So you got the
<v Speaker 4>owls and the coyotes all going off at the same time,
<v Speaker 4>and it's a very surreal because all these kids are
<v Speaker 4>coming out of the city. They never heard it. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>we barely heard. We've heard things like this, but not
<v Speaker 4>at the same time.
<v Speaker 2>No, so we kind of didn't think nothing of it,
<v Speaker 2>you know, and we went off. Thought it was kind
<v Speaker 2>of wild. Yeah, So we went up to our camp.
<v Speaker 2>There was nighttime. We went over to where we were staying.
<v Speaker 2>Tim and I were camping out. Everybody's going to bed,
<v Speaker 2>They're all going to bed. It was it was late,
<v Speaker 2>so I sleep in a hammock. So I get in
<v Speaker 2>the hammock. I'm laying there and I'm just relaxing, and
<v Speaker 2>all of a sudden, you can hear them running down
<v Speaker 2>the hill. You can hear the coyotes coming. You can
<v Speaker 2>literally hear their bodies and their paws hitting the ground.
<v Speaker 2>And all I did was I yelled over to Tim
<v Speaker 2>and I said, oh, man, I hope I'm high enough
<v Speaker 2>off the ground. And I know sooner said that that
<v Speaker 2>you could literally I have an underquilt underneath my handing,
<v Speaker 2>and that that coyote come flying underneath that hammock, and
<v Speaker 2>I could just feel the underquilt move and I says,
<v Speaker 2>oh man, And there had to be about ten of
<v Speaker 2>them that came down. But they came through the whole
<v Speaker 2>camp all at one time. And I said Tim, I said,
<v Speaker 2>did you hear them? And he goes, yeah, yeah, no,
<v Speaker 2>you could certainly hear them. There was no doubt they
<v Speaker 2>were coming running through camp. And then once they ran
<v Speaker 2>through camp, that was the intent of it. They were gone.
<v Speaker 2>But we never had that before. We never had them
<v Speaker 2>on our side. They're usually over on the farm. And
<v Speaker 2>that's what changed. The whole night was different than than
<v Speaker 2>normal that we've had in prior times of being down there,
<v Speaker 2>and we've been down there for years, so you know,
<v Speaker 2>we kind of just kind of blew it off. Thought
<v Speaker 2>it was weird had the bigfoot howl or rather than
<v Speaker 2>the whistle. And then uh so everybody.
<v Speaker 4>Leaves, we're getting ready to break down camp and there's
<v Speaker 4>this big oak tree that's you know, it's kind of
<v Speaker 4>it had been blown down in a storm and all
<v Speaker 4>the all the leaves were still on it, and so
<v Speaker 4>we're sitting there breaking down the campsite and you could
<v Speaker 4>hear something walking behind the tree and we thought it
<v Speaker 4>was a deer.
<v Speaker 2>Actually I didn't even think much of it. It was,
<v Speaker 2>you know, maybe a deer or so. I actually walked
<v Speaker 2>over to the to the edge where it kind of
<v Speaker 2>rolled over where the tree was, and I didn't see nothing.
<v Speaker 2>There was nothing. We heard it, but you know, I
<v Speaker 2>didn't see nothing, So it wasn't I think maybe it
<v Speaker 2>was a squirrel because the deer. It wasn't a deer
<v Speaker 2>because I didn't see no deer, but it was walking
<v Speaker 2>towards that that tree that he's talking about. And then
<v Speaker 2>all of a sudden, you know, kind of just heard
<v Speaker 2>this thing come flying through the trees. You just heard
<v Speaker 2>like a rock knocking branches as it came through the trees.
<v Speaker 2>Literally could hear it hitting the branches always, just like that.
<v Speaker 2>Just it was kind of bizarre. So that caught our attention.
<v Speaker 2>We didn't know what it was. And the canopy of
<v Speaker 2>the trees probably six to the edge, just headed eighty
<v Speaker 2>feet wide and it came all the way through that.
<v Speaker 2>So something through a candle sized, yeah, cannon and ball size, right,
<v Speaker 2>it's like a ball small bowling ball. Yeah, it was
<v Speaker 2>a small It was a bowling ball size, so it
<v Speaker 2>was that bigger than a softball, and it was Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it landed like ten fifteen feet in front of us.
<v Speaker 2>I was like wow. I says, okay, it's time to go,
<v Speaker 2>and we just started packing up. We said we're leaving.
<v Speaker 2>Gotten a jeep enough and that was the extended Yeah
<v Speaker 2>we could. We got out of there. We tried to
<v Speaker 2>talk about it later, you know, try to figure out
<v Speaker 2>what it was, and we.
<v Speaker 5>Can't come up with anything. You know, people say, why
<v Speaker 5>didn't you get the rock? We get DNA whenever he
<v Speaker 5>wasn't thought of that. I'm thinking, oh, wasn't even thinking that.
<v Speaker 5>But yeah, we got.
<v Speaker 4>Friends now that talk about doing DNA, and we have
<v Speaker 4>some connections that that may be doing it, but it's
<v Speaker 4>it's a costantly adventure.
<v Speaker 2>So we don't have that.
<v Speaker 4>But you know, as far as the uh, you know,
<v Speaker 4>making reports and things like that, if you're around Western
