<v Speaker 3>matter of how, and we got a pretty clever ending,
<v Speaker 3>an ending that did not involve bron Breaker, although he
<v Speaker 3>had a crazy impactful night. We'll talk about that in
<v Speaker 3>Roman Reigns and that whole injury and Paul Hayman a
<v Speaker 3>little bit later. It wasn't because of Bronson Reid wasn't
<v Speaker 3>because of Paul Hayman. It was because of Seth raw
<v Speaker 3>Ellen's wife, Becky Lynch and her coming in in a
<v Speaker 3>hooded black, hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants, low blowing cumpunk, helping
<v Speaker 3>Seth Rollins retain the world title after Seth just said
<v Speaker 3>he didn't need anyone, and lo and behold, Becky Lynch
<v Speaker 3>comes to his aid in a turn that I hey,
<v Speaker 3>I didn't see that coming. We all knew again. We
<v Speaker 3>all knew he was going to Booze. It was a
<v Speaker 3>really just a matter of how and we get the answer,
<v Speaker 3>an answer I liked. As I said, I liked it
<v Speaker 3>because not only did we not see it coming for
<v Speaker 3>most of us, but it brings Becky and Rollins's story
<v Speaker 3>together in a way that actually makes sense here as
<v Speaker 3>a heel team, because I don't believe there's been on
<v Speaker 3>screen as a heel team now. They have been a
<v Speaker 3>babyfaced team on screen several years ago, when believe it
<v Speaker 3>or not, they faced. I think it was Lacy Evans
<v Speaker 3>and Baron Corbyn if I somehow remember that correctly, But
<v Speaker 3>that was about seven years ago. And now, while their
<v Speaker 3>chemistry was god awful on screen, is a baby face
<v Speaker 3>couple seven years ago, hopefully as a heel team. If
<v Speaker 3>they are going to temporarily have a on screen story
<v Speaker 3>where their stories merge for just a little bit, then
<v Speaker 3>this was a good way to bring it in. And again,
<v Speaker 3>I think this will be a better version of these two,
<v Speaker 3>more a more tolerable version of them than again the
<v Speaker 3>seven years ago version. Now, to me, the most exciting
<v Speaker 3>part of this was not even the Becky Lynch you
<v Speaker 3>know on screen interaction with her husband's story, but what
<v Speaker 3>comes next. You could argue is the strongest evidence for
<v Speaker 3>an A J. Lee return that we've had since she left,
<v Speaker 3>however many years ago. It was a dozen years ago.
<v Speaker 3>So could this lead to an aj Lee CM Punk
<v Speaker 3>versus Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch tag team matchup? Absolutely?
<v Speaker 3>It could. That seems to be where they're headed. Actually,
<v Speaker 3>I mean, I don't see another scenario. You could have
<v Speaker 3>Punk I guess team up with you know, Nicki Bella,
<v Speaker 3>I guess you could, and then then have you know,
<v Speaker 3>Nicky and Punk versus Becky and Seth. But come on,
<v Speaker 3>if aj Lee is gonna have just a one match comeback,
<v Speaker 3>this is the time to do it. I've been watching
<v Speaker 3>her Instagram over the last couple of weeks just to
<v Speaker 3>see what's been going on, and she looks like she's
<v Speaker 3>in shape. Now is she ring shape? Only she knows that.
<v Speaker 3>But if there's ever a time, now is the time.
<v Speaker 3>And if they're going to ever have a bigger stage,
<v Speaker 3>at least in the next couple of months, there's no
<v Speaker 3>bigger stage than the first ple e on ESPN that
<v Speaker 3>they are looking to make huge, much like their first
<v Speaker 3>raw on Netflix that was unfortunately a very corporate show
<v Speaker 3>and much less a wrestling show. But they're trying to
<v Speaker 3>make an impact, make some noise. They cannot have the
<v Speaker 3>Wrestle Palooza pl E in three weeks just be another
<v Speaker 3>pl E. It sounds hokey. I hate the name. I
<v Speaker 3>wish it was named something else. I might even take
<v Speaker 3>great balls of fire over this. I'm half joking. And
<v Speaker 3>they want to make it impactful again. They don't want
<v Speaker 3>this to just be even though the name is terrible,
<v Speaker 3>just another PLI that's kind of a throwaway and you
<v Speaker 3>forget about it in two days. So with big things happening,
<v Speaker 3>my guess is the card so far is lined up
<v Speaker 3>as Brock Lesnar versus John Cena, although we didn't see
<v Speaker 3>Brock last night or today actually, and probably aj Lee
<v Speaker 3>and Cmpunk versus Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Now, how
<v Speaker 3>do they set this up? Here's how I think they
<v Speaker 3>do it. We could have Nicky Bella, you know, say
<v Speaker 3>that he'll team with Punk and take those two on
<v Speaker 3>and be his partner. Becky Lynch injures quote unquote Nicky Bella.
<v Speaker 3>Looks like Punk is gonna have to go it alone
<v Speaker 3>against those two, although Becky shouldn't have should be absolutely
<v Speaker 3>no threat to see him punk because he's a man
<v Speaker 3>and she's a woman. But I guess these days we're
<v Speaker 3>not supposed to recognize biological realities or differences, but I'm
<v Speaker 3>going to because I like to live in the world
<v Speaker 3>of reality. But that would be the idea is like, Okay,
<v Speaker 3>he's gonna be in a handicap match and then out
<v Speaker 3>comes his wife. He has a contingency plan where aj
<v Speaker 3>Lee is his partner. Now they've only got three weeks.
<v Speaker 3>There is not much time to build. So does aj
<v Speaker 3>Lee if they're gonna do this pop up on RAW
<v Speaker 3>tomorrow night. Maybe Hell, they're in and out. They're in
<v Speaker 3>a place where absolutely everything gets a reaction all the time.
<v Speaker 3>And I'm gonna talk about the crowd next and let
<v Speaker 3>you guys know personally what I think about the crowd.
<v Speaker 3>But this is a story to me. While I again,
<v Speaker 3>we'll we'll dive into the main event and all the
<v Speaker 3>good part and you know, good parts and bad parts
<v Speaker 3>of that and everything else that happened. But this is
<v Speaker 3>where I think it's headed and I'm excited for because
<v Speaker 3>I'm just like you guys, likely looking for an aj
<v Speaker 3>Lee return if it doesn't happen. It doesn't happen. You
<v Speaker 3>could substitute Nicky Bella in, but it just makes sense
<v Speaker 3>if you're gonna have Becky there to bring in a
<v Speaker 3>j Lee if she has the desire to. So that
<v Speaker 3>is that one more thing before I talk about the crowd,

<v Speaker 3>summer's done, at least in the northern part of the
<v Speaker 3>United States. And hey, it's time for football. It's time
<v Speaker 3>for Major League Baseball playoffs, it's time for leaves to
<v Speaker 3>fall and air to get cooler and all the rest
<v Speaker 3>of it here, which is a good time of year.
<v Speaker 3>And it also means we are headed into Survivor Series
<v Speaker 3>season soon enough, and before you know it, Rumble. They
<v Speaker 3>already brought up the rumble this. They already brought the
<v Speaker 3>rumble up on the pl E today and talked about
<v Speaker 3>how you know their schedule for the ple E is
<v Speaker 3>leading up to the rumbles going to be in France
<v Speaker 3>and Europe. They're gonna have a two week tour again
<v Speaker 3>in France and Europe and Ireland. Forget the other names
<v Speaker 3>in there. I forget it was one Poland might have
<v Speaker 3>been Poland too crazy. But they're certainly implementing a much
<v Speaker 3>more global strategy than Vince McMahon ever did with live events.
<v Speaker 3>So I mean, hey, they're a business. I have no
<v Speaker 3>objections to it. But speaking of the international crowd, I
<v Speaker 3>know a lot of you think I'm going to crap
<v Speaker 3>on the crowd, and I know, I don't know if
<v Speaker 3>I really crap on them. It's simply a and I've
<v Speaker 3>recognized this as a difference in culture. It's a difference
<v Speaker 3>in culture.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 3>I'm sure that the people over there think that our
<v Speaker 3>crowds suck. And from a United States perspective, while the
<v Speaker 3>noise level is yeah, it's certainly exceeds what we provide
<v Speaker 3>on a constant basis, it's almost too much of a distraction.
<v Speaker 3>It feels like everything has to be a song, everything
<v Speaker 3>has to be some kind of you know, customized you know,
<v Speaker 3>sing along that they all have, and it's not in
<v Speaker 3>my cup of tea, and I appreciate the passion. I
<v Speaker 3>certainly couldn't stand there for as many hours as they
<v Speaker 3>do and have the energy, the sustained energy level that
<v Speaker 3>they do. So hats off to everyone in you know,
<v Speaker 3>the overseas crowds everywhere from you know, Europe or rather
<v Speaker 3>eup bud Cheese, England in the UK to obviously Puerto
<v Speaker 3>Rico when they go there, and now they're over in
<v Speaker 3>uh Oh, they went to Birmingham, and they went to
<v Speaker 3>Scotland and everywhere that's you know, everywhere that's across the
<v Speaker 3>Atlantic Ocean. We certainly cannot match your energy level on
<v Speaker 3>a consistent basis. But I would argue that there's no come,
<v Speaker 3>there's no like let down. It's just a constant level
<v Speaker 3>of noise. There's no like let me down moments, let
<v Speaker 3>me breathe a bit and pay attention to what's going
<v Speaker 3>on in the ring instead of what the hell are
<v Speaker 3>we channing now? Instead of just kind of you know,
<v Speaker 3>every everything's a song and it's just okay, can we
<v Speaker 3>stop singing? Stop singing? Can I just watch wrestling? Why
<v Speaker 3>don't we react to the actual moves in the match,
<v Speaker 3>and instead of singing Roman ring just you know, it's
<v Speaker 3>again a difference in culture, and that's all it is.
<v Speaker 3>It's not better or worse. It's just an objective observation.
<v Speaker 3>So I know, I have a lot of fans over there.
<v Speaker 3>I've got you know, some people like are in France
<v Speaker 3>that listen to the show quite often. I know they do,
<v Speaker 3>and I appreciate that. So I'm not sitting here going
<v Speaker 3>the US is boring or you know, it's simply that
<v Speaker 3>that's all it is. It's just not my cup of tea,
<v Speaker 3>just like you guys look at us and say, hey, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>you guys, are you guys put me to sleep? Which
<v Speaker 3>some of the crowds, I admit do, no doubt about it.
<v Speaker 3>Some of our crowds are I admit, are just awful,
<v Speaker 3>including my own hometown at times. Okay, my own hometown
<v Speaker 3>at times is just pitiful. Sometimes we're hot, but uh,
<v Speaker 3>we're I'd say we're like an average wrestling crowd in
<v Speaker 3>the United States. But so yeah, anyway, the crowd still
<v Speaker 3>it's just not my my favorite. So let's move on,
<v Speaker 3>all right, Well, if beyond the ad free stuff, let's
<v Speaker 3>talk about the actual pl and let's start with Bronson,
<v Speaker 3>Reed and Roman Reigns. This matchup, as I stated before,
<v Speaker 3>this match him he took place, is the biggest match
<v Speaker 3>that Bronson Reed will ever has ever had to date,
<v Speaker 3>and this is about him and he should win this.
<v Speaker 3>But if he doesn't, he should get heat on the
<v Speaker 3>back end. Well that is optionally that's what happened option
<v Speaker 3>number two. Option number two. Door number two is Bronson
<v Speaker 3>Reid lost, but we quickly forget about the loss and
<v Speaker 3>have Bronson Reed immediately get a ton of heat back,
<v Speaker 3>including bron Breaker, who is now going to be in
<v Speaker 3>the sights of Roman Reigns. Let's make no mistake about that.
<v Speaker 3>Roman Reins is now going to target Bronson Reid even
<v Speaker 3>though yes, I'm sorry bron Breaker bron Breaker, not Bronson Read,
<v Speaker 3>although he'll target him as well, but bron Breaker coming
<v Speaker 3>out and doing the multiple spears that he does, Roman
<v Speaker 3>Reiins will come back. He has been written off, I
<v Speaker 3>would imagine for the next several weeks, but we didn't
<v Speaker 3>need a storyline to tell us that. We kind of
<v Speaker 3>just know he's going to do that anyway. But at
<v Speaker 3>least now that he's off TV, we can go Okay, Hey,
<v Speaker 3>remember it's not just him taking time off although that's
<v Speaker 3>all it is. It is a setup for bron Breaker
<v Speaker 3>and Roman Reigns maybe at Wressele Palooza, or it could
<v Speaker 3>be down the line. Again, I'm looking to Wrestle Palooza
<v Speaker 3>only because even though it's a short turnaround, they wwe
<v Speaker 3>want this to be a massive pl E. They need
<v Speaker 3>to make a big splash on ESPN. Yes, they're going
<v Speaker 3>head to head with aw that certainly I don't think
<v Speaker 3>is by accident. But more importantly for the company, this
<v Speaker 3>is a you know, dipping their toe in for the
<v Speaker 3>first time onto ESPN for pl e's so dig into
<v Speaker 3>your wallet, folks, there's another subscription we all got to
<v Speaker 3>eat up. And I think it's what twenty bucks a month,
<v Speaker 3>which is not fun, not fun, But I think a
<v Speaker 3>lot of us will just grin'll grit our teeth and say, ah,
<v Speaker 3>damn it, and we're just gonna do it. And I
<v Speaker 3>think that's probably what we'll do. But let's get into
<v Speaker 3>the match here. This match did go a total of
<v Speaker 3>twenty two minutes. I didn't think it'll go that long,
<v Speaker 3>twenty two minutes and five seconds, and there was I
<v Speaker 3>like the pacing of this match, The pacing of this
<v Speaker 3>match was much more from me, my own personal taste.
<v Speaker 3>And while everyone seems to be going eighty five miles
<v Speaker 3>an hour in their matches and just trying to do
<v Speaker 3>flips and flops and do crazy maneuvers and reversals, and
<v Speaker 3>how many kickouts of finishes which we did unfortunately get
<v Speaker 3>tonight with just too many damn finish or kickouts. I
<v Speaker 3>will continue to say that, and I will not get
<v Speaker 3>used to it or concede to that. But this was
<v Speaker 3>by all means a nice paced match. Because of the
<v Speaker 3>size of these men, that's what limited them here. But
<v Speaker 3>I would say it's not a limitation, it's an asset.
<v Speaker 3>And Bronson reed doing the suicide dive through the ropes
<v Speaker 3>was unnecessary but impressive. His tsunamis I was always that's
<v Speaker 3>a great finish. It's a great name for a finish too.
<v Speaker 3>It's also very safe finish. You know, obviously he just
<v Speaker 3>the impact. Ninety five percent of it is on his
<v Speaker 3>hands and knees, so you can easily tsunami your opponent
<v Speaker 3>without actually even having them feel it. So it's a
<v Speaker 3>great it's a great finish by all accounts. And having
<v Speaker 3>Rains go for a spear read catches him and then
<v Speaker 3>again he hits up hit some of the suicide dive.
<v Speaker 3>That was the spot and Rains went for a spear,
<v Speaker 3>but then Reid caught him and hit a sit down
<v Speaker 3>power bomb. That was a good near fall. We had
<v Speaker 3>then Roman go up top, a red go up top,
<v Speaker 3>and then Rains cut him off with a Superman punch,
<v Speaker 3>and then Rains followed up with another Superman punch and
<v Speaker 3>a Samoan dropped from the second rope, which was pretty
<v Speaker 3>damn cool and having him hit a spear, and that
<v Speaker 3>was enough for the victory here in twenty two minutes
<v Speaker 3>and Roman Reigins wins. But that wasn't the end of it,
<v Speaker 3>because we had Roman Reins choke out Paul Hayman, and
<v Speaker 3>we had Hayman give Reins to the shoe Offala and
<v Speaker 3>then he again he put Paul Hayman in the guillotine
<v Speaker 3>until Hayman fell over, and that's when we had Jelly Roll.
<v Speaker 3>He was I'm sorry. A bron breaker showed up out
<v Speaker 3>of nowhere. He speared Reins through the commentary table and
<v Speaker 3>then Jelly Roll was shown. He was looking concerned because
<v Speaker 3>for some reason, Jelly Roland just needs to be a
<v Speaker 3>part of every future w show, which I don't want.
<v Speaker 3>But then we continue to have more beatdown of Roman
<v Speaker 3>and a tsunami on Roman. A stretcher comes out and
<v Speaker 3>we have a rain strapped to the stretcher, and that's
<v Speaker 3>when Roman got another tsunami, which was pretty brutal, and
<v Speaker 3>jay Usa comes out chase the heels away, Uso took
<v Speaker 3>a spear, Read went backup, hit another tsunami and that
<v Speaker 3>was that. So this was pretty low here. I mean
<v Speaker 3>it was as I read this review, it was fifty
<v Speaker 3>two minutes. Fifty two minutes between all of this nonsense
<v Speaker 3>going on and between the intros and the video packages
<v Speaker 3>and the actual match and the aftermath of this. So
<v Speaker 3>this just took a long time. But again I think
<v Speaker 3>this was a big night for Breaker, who is setting
<v Speaker 3>himself up nicely from a matchup with the Roman reigns.
<v Speaker 3>As always, Adam Pierce blows a gasket yelling at Read
<v Speaker 3>and Breaker, and he kicked the Vision members out of
<v Speaker 3>the building and said if he sees them later he'll
<v Speaker 3>suspend them both indefinitely without pay. So there you go.
<v Speaker 3>You're thinking, all right, Seth Rollins is on his own,
<v Speaker 3>He'll still retain, but it's going to be interesting to
<v Speaker 3>see exactly how he does. Paul Hammond's incapacitated, he's at
<v Speaker 3>the hospital. We have again Breaker and Bronson read both
<v Speaker 3>banned from the building, so it's like, okay, Seth has
<v Speaker 3>no more allies, or so he thought. So then we
<v Speaker 3>get the Street Profits taking on Dexter Lewis and Joe
<v Speaker 3>Gasey for the w tag team titles. This one, I know,
<v Speaker 3>this one could have gone either way. It didn't make
<v Speaker 3>a whole bunch of you know, noise when it was
<v Speaker 3>announced because it was a last minute addition to the show.
<v Speaker 3>But I think it was a solid wrestling match that
<v Speaker 3>the crowd was trying their best to get into. It
<v Speaker 3>lasted thirteen minutes, with Dexter Lewis and Joe Gasey retaining
<v Speaker 3>the tag titles. The finish was Dawkins hitting a spinebuster
<v Speaker 3>tags in Ford, but Ford missed the frog splash. Things
<v Speaker 3>then broke down after Gaysey slammed loubas onto Ford. Dawkins
<v Speaker 3>broke up a pin attempt and all four wrestlers were down.
<v Speaker 3>Gasey and Loois were on the outside and Dawkins shoulder
<v Speaker 3>tackled Gasey, and then Rowan distracted Dawkins and Loomis shoved
<v Speaker 3>Dawkins into the crowd. Ford followed up by leaping over
<v Speaker 3>the ring post, taking out Rowan and Loomis. With the
<v Speaker 3>ref distracted Uncle Howdy hit Sister Abigail on Forward on
<v Speaker 3>the outside, and then Gaysey and Loomis followed up that
<v Speaker 3>by hitting the plague on Ford and got the victory.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, again, was this worthy of being on the event?
<v Speaker 3>I mean, I think, well, I don't know if worthy
<v Speaker 3>is the right word. I think it was needed. Those
<v Speaker 3>don't have to be mutually exclusive here. I mean there
<v Speaker 3>was those more needed than deserving needed for eyeballs on.
<v Speaker 3>Both of these guys are both teams, I should say
<v Speaker 3>all four men all five men in this case. I
<v Speaker 3>think this was needed and I think they did delivered
<v Speaker 3>on what you thought they would. And having the wide
<v Speaker 3>six group retain is fine. That would tell me, though,
<v Speaker 3>I hope they have more in mind for this group.
<v Speaker 3>We need more. I went on a rant about that
<v Speaker 3>a couple of nights ago, and I won't rehash that,
<v Speaker 3>but all right, so Henry go Match number three. Nicki
<v Speaker 3>Bella versus Becky Lynch for the interconnentbal Championship. Okay, let
<v Speaker 3>me just say this match overall, I think thought was
<v Speaker 3>actually okay. Was it as good as Lyrah Becky From
<v Speaker 3>a just a wrestling perspective, No, but I don't think
<v Speaker 3>anyone thought it would be now from a storyline in
<v Speaker 3>chemistry and promo perspective, it blew Lyra and Becky out
<v Speaker 3>of the water. But though you knew of the wrestling
<v Speaker 3>was going to probably fall short because of Nicky's you know,
<v Speaker 3>shortcomings in the ring compared to the women that we
<v Speaker 3>have today and what they're capable of. And Nicki Bella
<v Speaker 3>I loved. How was it Wade Barrett who called her
<v Speaker 3>the face of the Diva's era? Thank you? Whoever did that?
<v Speaker 3>I think it was Barrett. Yes she is. That's exactly
<v Speaker 3>what she is, which is why she's not deserving of
<v Speaker 3>any title of being a trailblazer. They were the neutered
<v Speaker 3>version of the women in the Attitude era. So that said,
<v Speaker 3>Nicki I think did fine in the ring. I know
<v Speaker 3>you're thinking, what about the botch. Well, let me just
<v Speaker 3>say this, and I'm not coming to the defense of Nicki.
<v Speaker 3>I'm no fan of Nicki Bella, really on an almost
<v Speaker 3>any level. But things happen, Okay, things do happen in
<v Speaker 3>the ring. Botches happen in the ring. Missteps happened in
<v Speaker 3>the ring. We saw it, even with rus seven Seamus,
<v Speaker 3>we saw it. In almost every match has some kind
<v Speaker 3>of slip up or miss or not well executed maneuver.
<v Speaker 3>It's inevitable. But while botches happen, and I'm sympathetic to that,
<v Speaker 3>and they do the best they can, this was a
<v Speaker 3>botch that was inexcusably bad. Did it ruin the match? No,
<v Speaker 3>but because again I'm giving both women credit for doing
<v Speaker 3>the best they could.
<v Speaker 2>But.
<v Speaker 3>It will be what people remember coming out of it,
<v Speaker 3>and that's unfortunate for Nicki, who's this mostly on I
<v Speaker 3>would honestly put it about seventy five percent on Nicki
<v Speaker 3>Bella twenty five percent on Becky because Becky probably should
<v Speaker 3>have been where she was at when she went when
<v Speaker 3>she was supposed to be in her spot to take
<v Speaker 3>the kick off the rope, and she wasn't in her spot.
<v Speaker 3>That said, the majority of blame goes on Nicky because
<v Speaker 3>she should have actually looked to see where Becky was
<v Speaker 3>positioned in the ring to see if she should just
<v Speaker 3>go up and do the kick. She shouldn't have just
<v Speaker 3>assumed that blindly, without looking, that Becky would be there
<v Speaker 3>for the timely kick. So I think the majority of
<v Speaker 3>it goes on Nicki, and the twenty five percent goes
<v Speaker 3>to Becky again for not getting into a position maybe
<v Speaker 3>where Nicki thought she would be at that favor very time.
<v Speaker 3>But more importantly, the twenty five percent for Becky comes
<v Speaker 3>for actually selling a move that was four feet from
<v Speaker 3>her face. That is where the crime is for Becky,
<v Speaker 3>you know, not so much even the timing, because your
<v Speaker 3>opponent should use their eyeballs and see if you're even
<v Speaker 3>there to take the kick. So that again the majority
<v Speaker 3>does fall on Nicky without question. But for Becky Lynch
<v Speaker 3>to sell a move that was a mile away from
<v Speaker 3>her was embarrassingly bad. I don't care if she stepped
<v Speaker 3>the back, but she actually sold it. Now her muscle
<v Speaker 3>memory is such that you sell anything that's even kind

<v Speaker 3>say it. They can't even pretend you can't. You have
<v Speaker 3>to just go, oh, she wasn't even close. You have
<v Speaker 3>to say that, so the announcers aren't going to cover
<v Speaker 3>for you because it's so egregiously bad. Becky Lynch missed,
<v Speaker 3>you know, her position, but Nicky should have seen where
<v Speaker 3>Becky was before she tried to kick. But Becky selling
<v Speaker 3>something that was so far away was just so bad.
<v Speaker 2>It's just so bad.
<v Speaker 3>It was just so so bad. Go and watch that
<v Speaker 3>in slow mo. It'll make you shake your head. So hey,
<v Speaker 3>that's all the time I'm going to spend on that.
<v Speaker 3>That said, we did have Becky Lynch get the victory
<v Speaker 3>in a kind of fluky way, which I thought was
<v Speaker 3>not needed, but she did retain in thirteen minutes with
<v Speaker 3>the roll up sort of roll up there, all right.
<v Speaker 3>We then go on to Seamus and Russev in a
<v Speaker 3>good old fashioned Donnybrook match. Now there was some boxes
<v Speaker 3>in this one. Nothing as egregiously bad as the Nikki
<v Speaker 3>belly kick, but there were some misspots, and I think
<v Speaker 3>some of it was due to exhaustion. But these two
<v Speaker 3>did exactly what you thought they would do beat the
<v Speaker 3>holy hell out of each other. And I give nothing
<v Speaker 3>but credit to these two men, nothing but respect to
<v Speaker 3>these two men. It was it felt like they they
<v Speaker 3>are a holdover of the PG era because Seamus and Russev,
<v Speaker 3>if you look back at their history, it's extensive. I
<v Speaker 3>mean it's like ten years long of friends and not friends,
<v Speaker 3>and then you know they go a while and then
<v Speaker 3>feud again, and there's a lot, so they have a
<v Speaker 3>long history. But it feels very much like this is
<v Speaker 3>a throwback to the kind of boring era of wrestling
<v Speaker 3>during the PG era. This is the they're like the
<v Speaker 3>some of the faces of that era. Not a bad era,
<v Speaker 3>just a you know, looking back, it was kind of
<v Speaker 3>a at times a very inconsistent and boring era. There
<v Speaker 3>were periods of that, and Seamus and Roussev here killed
<v Speaker 3>it though. I think they they even exceeded my expectations.
<v Speaker 3>They did what I thought they would do in killing
<v Speaker 3>each other, but they went above and beyond with what
<v Speaker 3>they did. I mean, the bumps they took. Seamus being
<v Speaker 3>put through the bar stand or whatever it was, and
<v Speaker 3>you know, hitting the back of his head on the
<v Speaker 3>frame of said bar stand was a little bit concerning
<v Speaker 3>the referee going there, you could see to make sure
<v Speaker 3>that as the as the wrestler is selling that they're
<v Speaker 3>squeezing the hand of the ref to let them know
<v Speaker 3>they're okay. If you didn't know, obviously a lot of
<v Speaker 3>people know that, but if you didn't, that's what the
<v Speaker 3>referees do. When there's a bump that you know, you
<v Speaker 3>want to make sure that that individual's okay. You go
<v Speaker 3>over and they're supposed to squeeze your hand. If they
<v Speaker 3>don't squeeze your hand, that means you're not okay. So
<v Speaker 3>ravel Seamus was doing that, he seemed all right, but
<v Speaker 3>as Wade Beart pointed out, hey, this is going to
<v Speaker 3>be a time when both men rolling out of bed
<v Speaker 3>tomorrow morning are going to be exceedingly sore. And yes
<v Speaker 3>they are. And what did this? What was a stat
<v Speaker 3>that Michael Cole brought up about Seamus only tapping out twice?
<v Speaker 3>There was some other stat that he brought up that
<v Speaker 3>I just the stats Michael Cole comes up with is
<v Speaker 3>just so impressive. I love the stuff he does and
<v Speaker 3>the homework that he does ahead of his matches. But
<v Speaker 3>this was a physical match with kendo sticks, as expected,
<v Speaker 3>the Chalelee, the very very long chalely chairs. Of course,
<v Speaker 3>tables slim gym tables only can't be any of the
<v Speaker 3>kind of table. It must be a branded advertiser, sponsor
<v Speaker 3>paid for table that can be broken. No other tables
<v Speaker 3>are allowed, maybe even in the announced table get in
<v Speaker 3>that too. Then ountable was very active as well, very
<v Speaker 3>very big bump spot there. And this was it was
<v Speaker 3>just it was great. I mean the match here, this
<v Speaker 3>is a perfect example of a match that you aren't
<v Speaker 3>really interested going in. You're like, eh, it'll be solid match,
<v Speaker 3>but as it goes on at about ten minutes in,
<v Speaker 3>You're like, all right, they kind of got me here
<v Speaker 3>because it's ramping up. And the near fall that Shamus
<v Speaker 3>and Russe had with the brogue kick was excellent because
<v Speaker 3>I'm thinking that's it. I mean, I would have put
<v Speaker 3>a significant amount of money. When Seamus hit the brogue
<v Speaker 3>kick towards like fifteen sixteen minutes in, I'm like, all right,
<v Speaker 3>that's it. Great finish, guys, awesome. And when he kicked out,
<v Speaker 3>when Russe kicked out, I was I go what what?
<v Speaker 3>Even the crowd was like what because number one, the
<v Speaker 3>broad kick is not exactly a finish that has ever
<v Speaker 3>kicked out of much. It's one of the few somewhat
<v Speaker 3>protected finishes and you just never see someone kick out
<v Speaker 3>of it. And it was a time where you know
<v Speaker 3>they had already beaten the hell out of each other
<v Speaker 3>and you're thinking, all right, the yeah, cool guys, let's
<v Speaker 3>just go, you know, bring it to the finishing sequence.
<v Speaker 3>And they did, and you're thinking, all right, that's it.
<v Speaker 3>So whoever came up with that particular spot deserves some credit.
<v Speaker 3>It was a very very believable false finish with the
<v Speaker 3>uh yeah, the uh the brog kick. But then the
<v Speaker 3>next near fall with the Chalelee had crossed Seamus's back
<v Speaker 3>was another nice false near fall and the accolade and
<v Speaker 3>the sale was of course the finish with Seamus tapping
<v Speaker 3>out only for the second time, which is pretty damn cool. Again,
<v Speaker 3>this match was much more of a breath of fresh
<v Speaker 3>air from Nicki and Becky. Again, no no disrespect to
<v Speaker 3>Nicky and Becky, Nicky and Becky, but this was a
<v Speaker 3>just an old school brawl and it brought you kinda
<v Speaker 3>back into the game. Now, following up here, one last
<v Speaker 3>thing on Becky and Nicki while I was thinking about it.
<v Speaker 3>The only other criticism I can give this match spot wise,
<v Speaker 3>beyond the botch worthy the announced table headshots quote unquote
<v Speaker 3>that NICKI was giving Becky where she was slamming Becky's
<v Speaker 3>head into the table. They looked horrendous. And that's on Becky.
<v Speaker 3>That's one hundred percent on Becky Lynch. So that's no
<v Speaker 3>fault of Nicky, who was being aggressive and you know,
<v Speaker 3>going after Becky and slamming her head into the announced table.
<v Speaker 3>I don't even know how many times, probably you know,
<v Speaker 3>fifteen times, but every one of them looked horrible. Why
<v Speaker 3>did they look horrible? Because Becky was clearly using her
<v Speaker 3>arms to break the break the hit, and break the fall,
<v Speaker 3>so to speak. And I know that's what you're supposed
<v Speaker 3>to do, but at least you're supposed to kind of
<v Speaker 3>make it look like you're not doing that, and Becky
<v Speaker 3>Lynch was. I mean, it was just I don't know
<v Speaker 3>what it was that that particular sequence there, there's just
<v Speaker 3>that was just a bad job on Becky Lynch's part,
<v Speaker 3>which again, you know, I need to point it out
<v Speaker 3>because I've never seen a that many announced table headshots,
<v Speaker 3>that many poorly executed in a row, so I have to,
<v Speaker 3>I mean, I gotta call a spade a spade. Despite
<v Speaker 3>all that, I still actually thought the match wasn't terrible.
<v Speaker 3>But all right, back to Seamus and Russev. Seamus loses
<v Speaker 3>to Rusev in twenty minutes and it was a just
<v Speaker 3>a beautifully a beautifully executed matchup, which makes you wonder,
<v Speaker 3>is this going to do anything for Rusev? I don't know,
<v Speaker 3>I said before the match, and my predictions showed that
<v Speaker 3>this is going to, you know, be a kind of
<v Speaker 3>temperature gauge into who they might do something with over
<v Speaker 3>the coming months. And hopefully they do something with Russev
<v Speaker 3>that is more than just you know him and saying
<v Speaker 3>five words on a pre taped promo. There's actually some
<v Speaker 3>kind of substance behind what they're going to do with him.
<v Speaker 3>Perhaps we'll see if that materializes.
<v Speaker 2>All right.
<v Speaker 3>We then had John Cena, Logan Paul. The match went
<v Speaker 3>twenty six minutes. This match I thought was just so
<v Speaker 3>damn good. Was it a five star match? No? Did they,
<v Speaker 3>I think, give us a match as good as you
<v Speaker 3>possibly could have? Yes, they did. These guys meshed well.
<v Speaker 3>Was there some poorly executed spots. Sure, some of the match,
<v Speaker 3>some of the spots were you know, a little bit sloppy,
<v Speaker 3>but with what the effort of the level of effort
<v Speaker 3>they put into this and the exhaustion level on both
<v Speaker 3>men's parts were I mean, I can't blame them, but
<v Speaker 3>this was just well done. Well done by both men.
<v Speaker 3>John Cena getting the victory was again, was it the
<v Speaker 3>right call? I proposed that Logan wins, But if john
<v Speaker 3>Sen is going to lose to brock Lesnar in three
<v Speaker 3>weeks at Russell Palooza, then you got to give john
<v Speaker 3>a victory here. But if anybody wants to see a
<v Speaker 3>a just a textbook example of knowing how to win
<v Speaker 3>in a loss, this is it. While Logan Paul didn't win,
<v Speaker 3>he will be remembered for this match and the effort
<v Speaker 3>that he brought to it. The spotlight on him when
<v Speaker 3>it's on, he delivers. He continues to overachieve in the ring.
<v Speaker 3>He continues to show you that he respects this business
<v Speaker 3>with the amount of effort and crazy maneuvers and life
<v Speaker 3>risking maneuvers that he puts on to himself. The things
<v Speaker 3>that he does, the things he's capable of doing, are
<v Speaker 3>are pretty insane. The stamina he has, He's got youth
<v Speaker 3>by his side, no doubt, he's right now in a
<v Speaker 3>great position in WWE, and sure for what twenty six
<v Speaker 3>matches now, whatever it is he is not he shouldn't
<v Speaker 3>be as good as he is. John Cena held up
<v Speaker 3>his end. He held up his end. He did the
<v Speaker 3>what did he do? Code Red or the pop Rocks
<v Speaker 3>or whatever they want to call it, the not the
<v Speaker 3>Canadian Destroyer. But it was a very very well done
<v Speaker 3>maneuver by John Cena. He had a Frankensteiner again in
<v Speaker 3>Code Red and we had Sena go for the AA
<v Speaker 3>and did probably too many aas. Okay, maybe that's the
<v Speaker 3>one criticism of this match, like so many John Cena matches,
<v Speaker 3>is the AA has been reduced to rubble at this point.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, in terms of effectiveness the AA has been
<v Speaker 3>It is at this point about as effective as a
<v Speaker 3>Crossroads is. It's just so pathetic how many times people
<v Speaker 3>kick out of the crows out of the AA. And
<v Speaker 3>I would like them to not do that, because even
<v Speaker 3>the announcers don't even pretend to get excited, and that's
<v Speaker 3>saying something. But there was a ton of kickouts of
<v Speaker 3>AA's he you know, tried to AA him I think
<v Speaker 3>fourteen times. But this was a very well executed matchup.
<v Speaker 3>The Logan Paul didn't he do it? He did a
<v Speaker 3>frog splash, didn't John Seen? I think John Seen hit
<v Speaker 3>a tornado DDT at one point and having Logan Paul
<v Speaker 3>kick out of that. The five knuckle shuffle that Logan
<v Speaker 3>Paul did took way too long. I will say that
<v Speaker 3>the Cizarrow uppercut that he tried, that Logan Paul tried
<v Speaker 3>on John Seen, it wasn't Again, this is an example
<v Speaker 3>of a small botch wasn't well executed, but it was
<v Speaker 3>still one that I have never seen anyone try to
<v Speaker 3>do on John Cena. Maybe Cizarrow did it himself. But
<v Speaker 3>this was a really fun matchup and one that again
<v Speaker 3>is going to be remember bird for Logan Paul's effort
<v Speaker 3>and for John Cena just being able to say goodbye
<v Speaker 3>in a fun way. I was waiting for the Brocklesner
<v Speaker 3>music like many of you during or just after the victory,
<v Speaker 3>but we didn't get it. And that's okay because brock
<v Speaker 3>Lesner could be in town tomorrow night for raw could
<v Speaker 3>be We will see, all right, let's continue. We had
<v Speaker 3>Seth Rollins then talk about how he doesn't need anybody,
<v Speaker 3>a really good promo, though, really good promo. He said
<v Speaker 3>that the world thinks he's at a disadvantage. But then
<v Speaker 3>he asked Jackie Redmand if she remembered who won the
<v Speaker 3>main event of WrestleMania and said he never needed anyone,
<v Speaker 3>he's a multi time world champion. Well, I mean, I
<v Speaker 3>don't know about that, raw, Seth, because you won as
<v Speaker 3>a direct result of Paul Hayman. But hey, sure so,
<v Speaker 3>but fun a really good promo from Seth's strong promo.
<v Speaker 3>Michael Cole reminded us that Hayman and Rains are in
<v Speaker 3>the hospital. I wonder if they got a joining beds,
<v Speaker 3>and then Read and Breaker were kicked out of the building,
<v Speaker 3>reminding us that Seth doesn't have his backup, or at
<v Speaker 3>least the backup we knew about. So then we get
<v Speaker 3>the main event, jus l a Knight seeing Punk Seth
<v Speaker 3>Rollins a four way for the World Heavyweight Championship. This
<v Speaker 3>match's what's the time stamp on this? Very curious? I
<v Speaker 3>didn't actually time it? Almost okay, twenty four and a
<v Speaker 3>half minutes twenty four and a half minutes and having
<v Speaker 3>everyone had their moment. Everyone had their moment, the BFT
<v Speaker 3>moment where you thought, I don't know, could he could he?
<v Speaker 3>Could he? You know, Rollin's petty greeing punk for a
<v Speaker 3>two count and then the match reseets that kind of
<v Speaker 3>segment where you like someone hit to finish, you think
<v Speaker 3>they might have it kick out or somebody stops it.
<v Speaker 3>In the matchery sets. That was very much the style
<v Speaker 3>that we expected in the match style that we got,
<v Speaker 3>and it's a match style that it delivered. You know,
<v Speaker 3>every I have to say, every multi then main event
<v Speaker 3>that WWE has put on since WrestleMania has just incredibly delivered.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, think about the match at WrestleMania right for
<v Speaker 3>the uh well, it wasn't for anything. It was for
<v Speaker 3>Pride at WrestleMania with Rowan Reins and Siampungkan Seth Rollins.
<v Speaker 3>That was incredibly well done, incredible and may have saved
<v Speaker 3>WrestleMania itself because of Night two's main event that brought
<v Speaker 3>us into such a bad leaving us with a bad taste.
<v Speaker 3>But ever since then, I mean, WWE has continued to
<v Speaker 3>deliver in these multi man main events. I'm not advocating
<v Speaker 3>for continuation of multiman. I'm a big one on one proponent,
<v Speaker 3>but they have executed these multi man made events exceedingly well,
<v Speaker 3>and some spots here, so let's talk about some spots.
<v Speaker 3>Rollins going up to the top. He attempts a Phoenix
<v Speaker 3>splash and j moves and he super kicks Seth and
<v Speaker 3>then he follows up the now so splash. Punk breaks
<v Speaker 3>up the pin attempt. He then lifted up USO and
<v Speaker 3>hit a GTS, but Rollins broke up the pin attempt
<v Speaker 3>with a stomp, and then Punk kicked out at two
<v Speaker 3>and nine eighths or rather whatever eight nine a's or whatever.
<v Speaker 3>I don't not going in fractions, and then Rollins was
<v Speaker 3>bsing at Punk and grabbed a chair. Rollins gave USO
<v Speaker 3>a stomp on the outside, gave a stomp Tonight on
<v Speaker 3>the outside, putting them completely out of commission, and then
<v Speaker 3>Rollins putting Punk's head inside of a chair going for
<v Speaker 3>a stomp. Punk moved hit Rollins with a GTS, and
<v Speaker 3>then Punk lifted Rollins again and someone comes in and
<v Speaker 3>low blows Punk Becky Lynch as I mentioned at the
<v Speaker 3>top of the show, and that allows Rollins to stomp
<v Speaker 3>Punk on the chair and get the victory. So this
<v Speaker 3>was a really fun ending to the main event here. Again,
<v Speaker 3>you knew that Punk was going to not win, knew
<v Speaker 3>that Jay had zero chance of winning. You thought that
<v Speaker 3>La Knight Again, he doesn't seem to ever be in
<v Speaker 3>position to be a front runner here to win, but
<v Speaker 3>continues to be in the main event. I mean, that's
<v Speaker 3>the one thing about La Knight. He's sticking around the
<v Speaker 3>main event, which is a good thing if you're an L. A.
<v Speaker 3>Knight fan, and he's proven he deserves to stay. He's
<v Speaker 3>done his part, He's been very good on the microphone
<v Speaker 3>delivers in the ring. There is a case to be
<v Speaker 3>made to continue to have La Night in this position
<v Speaker 3>even dare I say, at some point next year, maybe
<v Speaker 3>win the damn thing. But again, overall, did I think
<v Speaker 3>the show was outstanding? No? I thought the show was good.
<v Speaker 3>I'd give it a C plus B minus. You know,
<v Speaker 3>it didn't blowl me away. There were no big returns. Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>but not every show needs to have a big return.
<v Speaker 3>We are just spoiled as wrestling fans. I thought the
<v Speaker 3>show delivered on a wrestling perspective, Outside of maybe Becky
<v Speaker 3>Lynch and Niggi Bella, which wasn't horrific, but the botches
<v Speaker 3>spoil the spoil the whole fielding the batch because they
<v Speaker 3>were just so egregious. But other than that, I mean, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>I think the rest was solid. And C plus to
<v Speaker 3>B minus is where I'd put this on my grade
<v Speaker 3>scale here. And it was about John Cena. It was
<v Speaker 3>about his continued retirement tour where he's going to be
<v Speaker 3>leaving in three months, and Cole continues to remind us, hey,
<v Speaker 3>enjoy this, soak it up, enjoy it, enjoy it. And
<v Speaker 3>that's I'm glad he's saying that, because it's something that
<v Speaker 3>we need to be reminded of and grateful of. That
<v Speaker 3>we will never see John Cena compete ever again after
<v Speaker 3>mid December, ever, and that's kind of a crazy thing
<v Speaker 3>to say. You know, we're still kind of thinking, oh, well,
<v Speaker 3>it's John Cena. It's still cool to hear him and
<v Speaker 3>see him, and sure he'll come out for the Hall
<v Speaker 3>of Fame when he's inducted, and I don't know if
<v Speaker 3>we'll ever even see an AA again after after mid December.
<v Speaker 3>He said he's done, he'll never do it again. But
<v Speaker 3>I could see that changing, you know, when John Cena's
<v Speaker 3>in the Hall of Fame and WWE officially inducts him
<v Speaker 3>and all the rest. I think there could be another
<v Speaker 3>AA on like a raw reunion show or some kind
<v Speaker 3>of fun little face off with him and another legend
<v Speaker 3>that of course isn't gonna lead to a match. But
<v Speaker 3>I think there'll be something in Johnsona's future after this
<v Speaker 3>that is not going to be a match, but it
<v Speaker 3>could be like what Austin does. What you know, the
<v Speaker 3>Rock does where or Undertaker does. He comes in, just
<v Speaker 3>does one move and leaves. So I think that'll happen.
<v Speaker 3>I don't believe that he'll never come back to do
<v Speaker 3>an AA or even cut a promo again. I don't
<v Speaker 3>buy it. So that said, I hope you guys enjoyed it.
