00:00:05 Speaker 1: Hi, babe. 00:00:06 Speaker 2: Is. 00:00:06 Speaker 1: While I can't welcome back to give them all a podcast, I'm very excited for the day. I've been staying excited for the day ever since I found out I was pregnant. I'm just like really on cloud twenty seven. 00:00:19 Speaker 2: Wow. 00:00:20 Speaker 1: Speaking of twenty seven, the twenty sevens were at Summer Moon's Tnesday Parday last night or yesterday. 00:00:25 Speaker 3: How was that? 00:00:26 Speaker 1: It was so cute? 00:00:28 Speaker 3: I saw some content you took. 00:00:30 Speaker 1: I well, it was like social hour for the parents. Like I got there and all my friends were there, and it was a playland, so like you didn't have to really watch your kid at all. It was awesome. I sat there with STOs and gossiped. They were all the friends there, all the friends for oh and all the friends for mom. So I didn't take any content. I just got to repost one of Ocean. Ocean's a vibe. Man, She's like the cool kid on the block. 00:00:56 Speaker 4: She's literally the funniest list human I know. And I know that I say that every time, but she continues to make me laugh. 00:01:04 Speaker 1: That's what it is is. I know that it sounds like we're like on repeater mode, but every single day that I get to interact with her. I not only feel so fortunate, but I feel like I just am in awe. I'm like, you're just so funny and cool, Like I can't even explain it. Anybody who doesn't get to meet her and interact with her, especially at this stage, is like truly missing out, missing out for sure. Yeahmie, Yeah, totally. She's like the friend. 00:01:35 Speaker 2: She's like your stays out until all hours of the night. 00:01:37 Speaker 1: No, she rallied. Man, that girl, that girl did no nap. The most people are gonna be like, that's parenting, but no, you like what am I supposed to do? Strapper like put her in a straight jacket and buckler to the mattress? Like literally, how do you get a child? Force a child to sleep and in their own room? And keep in mind, this girl wakes up early. The last couple day we got the blackouts in so we haven't been waking up. Who We're both like cruising through the abyss just kept banging on the door, thinking we're all dead in the house. That happened this morning, But it's okay, it happened one time. 00:02:16 Speaker 3: The mess. 00:02:20 Speaker 1: But what was I saying? 00:02:22 Speaker 2: Oh? 00:02:23 Speaker 1: So she had a packed day yesterday she had her dance class, she had birthday parties, she ran around with mom. We had a lunch date at Sweet Butter Yes, and then we go over to Brock and Sheena's after to continue mom time and kid time, and Brod comes down. He's like, yo, your kid is something. I was like, oh, no, what'd she do? And he goes she was upstairs and I was like, this playroom is a mess, and you know, Summer cleans up her mess as she goes, and I was like, oh, what would that be like? And she's uh, he said, Ocean dumped out every bag of toys. Okay, I've tried to correct this behavior. I also, you also can't force a child to pick up after themselves. I'm just doing the best I can. She's still the coolest kid I know, so of course she Summer says, Ocean dumped all the toys out, and Brock says, well, you girls better pick it all up. Then Summer Moon frantically starts throwing the toys back in the bags. Ocean folds her arms and said and Brock says. She looks at him and goes, I don't have to, and I'm like, she's right, though she doesn't, like, what's anyone gonna do if she doesn't? No, But really, we were talking to Brock's mom because we were talking about kids and like how they behave because Ocean, towards the end of the night started getting a little little spicy, a little fresh, swepy. So Mama takes her in the corner, lets her know what's up. Yeah, And I was like, it's a lot of work sometimes. And Brock's mom has five kids, and she goes, you want to know the difference. Back in the day, when I was a mama, there was no pulling kids into the corner and saying if you do it again? She goes one, Yeah, never did it again. Hey, that's never did it again. What did James say, smacked bottom? You just smack bolt candy. By the way, though, I'm glad that the smacking of the bottom does not exist anymore, because I can't even imagine when I discipline Ocean in a just a very normal way and make her stare at a wall, because what else do you do? I'm like, you're banging on the piano, You're ripping up in someone else's household. You it's a bad reflection of me at this point. All right, you make yourself look bad all day, won't you ain't gonna make me look bad? 00:04:50 Speaker 2: Girl. 00:04:54 Speaker 3: No, it's so good, No, it's so good. 00:04:58 Speaker 1: I just feel like I can't see you guys. 00:05:01 Speaker 2: The hat vision is that the vision. 00:05:05 Speaker 1: I was gonna wear a little bit of glasses and then i'd really. 00:05:10 Speaker 4: Also, I want to say, with the ocean, she is so creative and imaginative that you kind of it's not like you can put her in her room because she's gonna have a blast by herself. 00:05:19 Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, and can I tell you? So I send her home with my mom because it's getting late, and you know, I'm sure that brack and she were like, how is this kid still going? 00:05:31 Speaker 2: My kid? 00:05:32 Speaker 1: And I'm like, I'm used to this, you know, banging on the piano at ten thirty. No, it was around like nine, nine thirty. So my mom was I was like, Mom, you got her take her home, and I was. I was willing to go too, because she was losing her mind. She didn't want to leave mom, and I was like, I'm just gonna go with you. My mom was like, you're freaking staying here and enjoying your friends. So I thought that was very sweet. So I call her just to make sure that all is settled, and she was like, yeah, Ocean's great, she's in her bed. My bad, I mean, And my mom said, Ocean, do you know why Mom had to discipline you? Because when you're doing things that we've told you not to, like you don't clean up the toys, or you bang on the piano, mom has to tell you that you have to listen, and if you don't listen, there's consequences. And she but, Gigi, I was having so much fun. I know, I know. And I was like, you know what, I get it, girl, because if I were to go bang on the piano right now, it wouldn't be fun. As you get older, shit just ain't fun unless you're drunk while doing it, you know, and then there's a chance you may end up in AA. So you bang on that piano, girl, and you just have all the fun. Sweet baby? 00:06:52 Speaker 3: Is she doing? 00:06:53 Speaker 4: Is she taking piano lessons or no? She does so much? Like does she dance? 00:06:59 Speaker 2: That's all? 00:06:59 Speaker 1: Though she has tap and ballet. 00:07:02 Speaker 3: She's about to be in school. 00:07:03 Speaker 1: Then she'll be in school. 00:07:04 Speaker 3: Feels like a lot. 00:07:05 Speaker 1: Maybe not, but you know what she's like The freaking energizer bunny. 00:07:08 Speaker 2: She does. 00:07:09 Speaker 1: She keeps going and going and go. 00:07:12 Speaker 2: I know it's wild what she's taking, but I want someone. 00:07:15 Speaker 1: I want them to anyway. Yeah, she does go. The day was great. Cut to today, I think that we're recording the pod because mom has headed to Coachella this weekend. I think, sorry, stage Coach, thank you, thank you, guys. Stage coach. 00:07:30 Speaker 3: Even better I heard, I'm very excited for you, guys. Producer John and I are going to Sick New World. 00:07:37 Speaker 2: That sounds horrible, yeah, but you. 00:07:39 Speaker 1: Know what, We're happy for you. 00:07:42 Speaker 2: Happy for you. 00:07:44 Speaker 1: Hitting try not to get trampled by everyone chewing holes in their cheek. 00:07:49 Speaker 2: I have had Producer John scratching their arms. 00:07:52 Speaker 4: I have had three four give them while the podcast listeners reach out and say, oh my god, we'll be at Sick New World. You're a listen nurse, and they said, we'd love to see you and Producer John, so. 00:08:05 Speaker 5: Come find us, find us have a little pop up boom lala. 00:08:11 Speaker 1: Is that freaking Sick New World? That'd be legit? I know, no, I think that's great. I'm excited for you, guys. I'm just throwing shade because anything that's outside of that. I don't understand. I love the shade you guys. I think we're all going to have an equal amount of fun. 00:08:25 Speaker 3: We're all I just want everyone to have fun. 00:08:28 Speaker 1: We're all gonna have fun, just be more better. 00:08:33 Speaker 2: So we're gonna back to your water. 00:08:37 Speaker 1: Signey world is heavy metal. 00:08:40 Speaker 3: It is a metal right producer. 00:08:41 Speaker 6: John System of it Down and Slipknot or the headliners. 00:08:45 Speaker 4: Oh I don't like Slipnot as much anymore boo because they got rid of Jay the drummer Boo. 00:08:50 Speaker 3: But I like everyone. 00:08:51 Speaker 2: Else, I've never heard this song. You've never Slipknot song if it was on the radio. 00:08:58 Speaker 3: Down is like you guys have heard this? 00:09:00 Speaker 2: Is it like? Let's don't disturbed? 00:09:03 Speaker 6: Sounds like wake up? 00:09:08 Speaker 2: You wanted to? Yeah no, I only something you want to? 00:09:11 Speaker 5: Oh yeah no, I only listen to those on like MX versus a t V unleashed because they were just the soundtrack wasn't by choice. 00:09:19 Speaker 1: It wasn't by choice at all. Okay, Well, guys are gonna have so much fun. I know I just fell asleep there, Like I didn't fall asleep. I'm just trying to think of I'm like, so do they just scream at you, or there any instruments. They're so good it's so I guess there are instruments. If you had a friend and slip not that was the drummer. 00:09:41 Speaker 5: So just picture you know what, banging at the loudest they can, the guitar as loud as it can, and then a guy just screaming as. 00:09:48 Speaker 1: Loud as is it considered emo? 00:09:51 Speaker 4: No, emo is more like when we were young fast. There is a band called spirit Box that I'm is a girl and if you heard her, she sings gorgeous singing voice but also screams that's hot and she kills it. 00:10:03 Speaker 1: This is what I will say, even though I don't listen to that type of music, that is like sheer fucking talent. The fact you can go from screaming and not tear up your vocal cords so much that you like, how do you even speak after? 00:10:17 Speaker 4: It's like a faux screaming. You're not actually screaming, it's like something else. 00:10:20 Speaker 1: Do you still have to learn how to do that? 00:10:22 Speaker 2: Yeah? I feel like to do that and then still have a rhythm. 00:10:26 Speaker 3: Yeah, and she's hot. It stunning. 00:10:28 Speaker 1: No, I think it's amazing that you guys are going sexy box. What's her name sexy Box? I don't know, but she should change. 00:10:36 Speaker 3: I think her name is Courtney. 00:10:39 Speaker 2: What's her stage name. 00:10:40 Speaker 3: O spirit Box. 00:10:42 Speaker 4: Well that's her bank, sexy Box. 00:10:47 Speaker 1: We will not objectify spirit Box. We will not. We will call her talented Box. So Jessica had to come this morning because I was out until one thirty am. And well, I shouldn't say I was not in the bed. I was at Sheena's house until very very late. 00:11:04 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, she was. Now I was at home asleep. 00:11:07 Speaker 1: No, So when Jessica came in and was banging on. 00:11:10 Speaker 2: The door, am I right? 00:11:12 Speaker 1: She's never really banged. 00:11:13 Speaker 4: It's never happened before, you guys, I've never I was calling law and I was like, do. 00:11:17 Speaker 3: You want me to pick you up? Or me at the studio? Nothing? Nothing, And I was like, okay, I'm just gonna come get you. 00:11:22 Speaker 2: No. 00:11:22 Speaker 1: I didn't respond to any of them. 00:11:24 Speaker 4: No, And I was calling you, calling Lisa, and then I started getting nervous. So I had to call Easton because I was a minute out and I was like, Easton, have you heard from your mom? 00:11:31 Speaker 2: And me? And she goes, are you at laws? Or are you taking large just going from your house, and I said, I'm at my house. 00:11:37 Speaker 1: And I apologize that I scared everyone this morning. 00:11:42 Speaker 2: Needs to go off round nine. 00:11:43 Speaker 1: Well, usually I set my alarm, but I was like, I don't need to set my alarm where I'm gonna be up and at him because I got a baby who wakes me up usually at the crock but this one's snoozing. I'm snoozing. So anyway, here we are this morning. Oh yeah, we were all all by the way, where are my two pibbles at my home? They need to return, you know, it's just Lily barking. 00:12:06 Speaker 3: I was like, where are they? 00:12:07 Speaker 1: This is not right. 00:12:08 Speaker 2: You do not like it anymore in there. 00:12:10 Speaker 1: Well, I just they're my dogs, so I would appreciate if you'd give them back your dogs. 00:12:17 Speaker 2: Yes, they are my dogs that got taken from me. 00:12:20 Speaker 1: They don't want to be they don't want to be over there in basement. I know we're gonna have so much of I'm gonna start videoing cos. 00:12:34 Speaker 5: I'm making I'm just gonna make it short film of her and Lisa in the morning and just the tragedy that is life. 00:12:40 Speaker 1: Through it tragedy, we live the dream. I look out in my gorgeous backyard, in my gorgeous kitchen, drink my coffee with my gorgeous child hair everywhere like this is the dream. 00:12:51 Speaker 5: Her hair in the morning, her hair if you don't brush it, she's gonna get She's close. 00:12:55 Speaker 3: To me, you guys, it's the key. That's very true. 00:12:58 Speaker 4: I walked in the when I knocked on the door this morning, I was like law, and I opened and the first thing Ocean did was pop up there everywhere when smiled. 00:13:07 Speaker 1: Can I tell you something before we move on from Ocean and real life content. Ocean and Summer Moon were facetiming this weekend while we were in Palm Springs, and as I'm listening, I'm like, this is reminding me of something, the two of them communicating. It's it reminded me of John c Riley and Will Ferrell in Step Brothers when they're when they're sleepwalking and they're That's how Ocean and talk to each other. That's hilarious, and they understand each other. And it's only the forehead. When you look at them, they're. 00:13:46 Speaker 2: Both talking to it. 00:13:48 Speaker 1: It's so funny. 00:13:52 Speaker 2: It really is so because they're looking so close at the other one. 00:13:58 Speaker 3: You should have taken a video or picture. 00:14:00 Speaker 1: I was striving. I wish I could have. It was really funny, though, I'm like, why is this? Why have I seen this before? 00:14:08 Speaker 2: Oh? 00:14:09 Speaker 1: Yes, it was right on the money of those two. It's so funny. Okay, so online, this is what the headline is? 00:14:23 Speaker 2: Okay? 00:14:25 Speaker 1: Ever seen a dead body? Question mark? Fourteen year old allegedly invited friends to see mom's corpse after killing her What? Yeah? Yeah, did you guys hear about this? No? 00:14:37 Speaker 3: This is horrific, did he? 00:14:39 Speaker 1: Carly is a girl. Carly Madison greg fourteen, was arrested in March in connection with the death of her mother and the shooting of her stepfather. Per authorities, a teenager accused of fatally shooting her mother before attempting to kill her stepfather allegedly invited friends over to view her mother's corpse. 00:14:59 Speaker 2: This is where was this? 00:15:02 Speaker 1: She needs Brandon, Mississippi? 00:15:05 Speaker 3: Obviously? 00:15:06 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:15:07 Speaker 3: Oh that is so heartbreaking. 00:15:10 Speaker 1: She has I thought it was pled it's pleaded. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being tried as an adult. Oh she's got slammer, dude. 00:15:22 Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing. 00:15:23 Speaker 5: It's one thing to like kill your mother, but then to like start showing people the corpse, they feel like they're going to add some shit. 00:15:29 Speaker 1: Well I don't know if they'll add some shit. But that's the difference between like fifteen to life. 00:15:36 Speaker 4: Yeah, that's like well, and it's also the difference, in my opinion, between like who knows why she killed her and like, oh this is severe mental health? 00:15:45 Speaker 2: Like what did the mom do? 00:15:46 Speaker 3: Yeah, like is there was there abuse? 00:15:48 Speaker 1: Was there? Because you know, was this a Gypsy Rose situation? 00:15:54 Speaker 4: Or like this sounds you know, and I literally have only heard the headline right now or. 00:15:59 Speaker 2: Those two two kids who were locked. 00:16:01 Speaker 3: In a room, Oh there has been that was wild. 00:16:06 Speaker 1: Yeah, it was highly recommend that twenty twenty. By the way, if you have not seen that twenty have you seen it? 00:16:12 Speaker 4: Jess I it's hard for me to watch anything that has to do with children, parents and children because I get such a deep deep hatred and anger and like the darkness that arises out within me of what I would do to those parents scares. 00:16:26 Speaker 3: Me a little bit. 00:16:26 Speaker 4: So yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm like it's horrific, Like so many parents, so many kids have been locked in basements for twenty years. 00:16:33 Speaker 3: Like, there's crazy shit and they. 00:16:35 Speaker 1: Live in like these totally normal neighborhoods. 00:16:37 Speaker 4: Yeah, or and the neighbors are like I mean I never really knew or like, yeah, something always seemed off about them, but you know, I just thought they were weird. 00:16:45 Speaker 1: No, they keep their kids in the basement locked up in chains. 00:16:50 Speaker 3: Disgusting. 00:16:51 Speaker 1: Let me read the rest of this real quick. The footage so there was cameras, okay. In a preliminary hearing recorded and released by the blog Jackson Jumbalaya on Tuesday, investigators spoke about the suspect seemingly nonchalant behavior after allegedly shooting her mother, as captured in home security cameras. The footage from the camera shows the minutes leading up to the killing. The suspect and her mother return home, and after some time, the suspect is seen going into her mother's bedroom. Rankin County investigator blah blah blah. Then you hear a gunshot, a scream, followed by two more gunshots. This girl's fucking wild psycho, she's wilding out, dude. 00:17:32 Speaker 2: Ugh. 00:17:33 Speaker 1: At one point, the suspect asked a friend to come over, saying it was an emergency. After the friend was driven over to the residence by her father, the suspect asked the friend if she had ever seen a dead body before. When the friend said no, the suspect proceeded to show her deceased mother. What a lunatic Give this girl life? 00:17:54 Speaker 2: I mean, the gun everywhere? Dude? 00:17:57 Speaker 3: Did she run out of the house the friend? 00:18:00 Speaker 2: He called the police? Is that who called the police? The friend? 00:18:04 Speaker 1: I would have been terrified, he says, further, alleging that the suspect also showed her friend the murder weapon and told her she had fired three shots each at her mother and stepfather. The stepfather told investigators that the suspect was armed with a pistol and shot him in the shoulder. Upon his return home, the man claimed he was able to fight the gun away from her before she fled the scene across their backyard. She was captured a short time later near the house. 00:18:33 Speaker 3: This isn't making sense. 00:18:34 Speaker 4: So he fights the gun away and then she invites the friend over. So the mom must have been there first, and then the step The mom must have been killed first. Then the stepfather got home after the girl invited her friend over. 00:18:46 Speaker 2: That must have been it yeah, killed. 00:18:48 Speaker 5: Her mom invited her friend over. The friend probably left, stepdad came home. 00:18:52 Speaker 1: His friend was like, cool, dead mom. Uh see, I hear my mom calling hitters ready by. 00:19:00 Speaker 2: I wouldn't even know what to do. 00:19:02 Speaker 1: I wouldn't either. I don't I honestly, because you know, she's got a freaking gun in the house. How'd you shoot your mom? By the way, the kickback on a gun is then they just said it was a pistol, but like, have you been to a shooting range? Those things got kick? And I don't like it one bit, even when I used to like do movies when they had like the fakes. 00:19:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, does it give kick or do you have to do it? 00:19:30 Speaker 1: Well, if you're me, you use the plastic kind because I just don't like. Yeah, I don't even I don't like it in my hand. I don't want to be near it. I don't like anything, even though it's fake. There's been deaths on on movie sets with even those the fake weapons, fake weapons, So I always ask for the plastic ones and then I have to pretend they add the little noise. Yeah, I'm like, I don't like the feeling of this, and I if you number one, like It's not like I'm some Oscar winning actress, Like I don't know how believable I'm gonna be on camera. 00:20:08 Speaker 3: I think you're believable. I've seen that you using a weapon on camera, and I'm like, damn. 00:20:13 Speaker 2: Eight second nature. 00:20:14 Speaker 1: Yeah, so that girl is. I don't know. Maybe they will do they'll for sure do a psych evaluation and dive. 00:20:20 Speaker 4: Into that because you know what, we never of course, you should never kill anyone. But I just hope and pray that these parents weren't evil worth killing. 00:20:27 Speaker 1: Yeah, did you guys hear about the mom who speaks out about accidentally inviting four hundred and eighty seven guests to her daughter's birthday party. That's something she would do, but on purpose. 00:20:39 Speaker 4: Wait, how did she accidentally send a mass email or something? 00:20:42 Speaker 2: Right? 00:20:43 Speaker 3: You write? And why did all those people said? 00:20:46 Speaker 2: They all showed up? 00:20:48 Speaker 1: She still vividly remembers that singing feeling she had when she realized she had made a giant mistake. 00:20:54 Speaker 2: It started it says pitch on this party. By chance. 00:20:57 Speaker 1: I see this tab and it says import guests from previous parties. And I just had a Saint Patrick's Day party. So I was like, oh, perfect. After importing her contacts, King thought she would be able to select which one of them would receive an invitation. That wasn't the case. It took me to the actual invitation page and it said Ivy's first birthday, and then at the bottom it said guess four hundred and eighty seven. Oh, I would have a heart attack. What would you do? 00:21:26 Speaker 3: Because I know what I'd do? 00:21:27 Speaker 2: Tell me send an email to all of them. 00:21:29 Speaker 1: I was sorry, send a disinvite to four hundred and eighty seven people or any redo or cancel good, cancel. 00:21:36 Speaker 3: Cancel and be like, hey, guys, we actually have to cancel. We'll let you know when rescheduled, and then just. 00:21:40 Speaker 1: And then you can't take any pictures or post anything of your That's wild, but what I mean a first birthday party. If someone was like, hey, I accidentally did that, I'd be like, all good, I don't need to come to a first birthday party. Who has four hundred and eighty seven people that they've ever encountered? 00:22:00 Speaker 2: And remember, right, yeah, I didn't even have that many contacts. 00:22:04 Speaker 1: I think most people in my contacts will be like, uh, who is this to me? 00:22:09 Speaker 4: I wonder if she had thrown like a work party or a company party or something weird like that, or if it took all of the parties and combine them all that I. 00:22:19 Speaker 1: Think it was all her contacts. You know how you accumulate contacts throughout the years. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure I have a lot too. 00:22:26 Speaker 4: Could you imagine my twenty two year old booty call getting invited in an invite to my first my one year old's birthday party. 00:22:35 Speaker 1: She made it onto Good Morning America. Off of it, I made a TikTok that went viral. 00:22:40 Speaker 3: Surely. 00:22:41 Speaker 4: Oh, by the way, this is I'm just inserting this the piece of news about the twins. 00:22:47 Speaker 3: I was corrected that was false and it went everywhere. 00:22:50 Speaker 1: I'm sorry, it's a joke. 00:22:51 Speaker 4: It was not real. She never came out with that statement Abby. 00:22:56 Speaker 2: And wait, that statement was false. 00:22:59 Speaker 3: Of the twins. 00:23:00 Speaker 1: So someone just made it up, lay out there. 00:23:02 Speaker 4: Everywhere, and it was even like verified by like some news articles and shit. 00:23:08 Speaker 3: So I got got and you know what that happens to me? 00:23:12 Speaker 1: Yeah, it truly does. And like my mom says, paper takes ink, you can literally write whatever you want. Sina started getting lit up the other day about something that someone had said but it was their interpretation of something that someone else had said, and I was like, hold on, Brock was like, honey, these words didn't come out of this person's mouth. This is a fan giving their interpretation, right. But it is wild because you sit there and you're like, wow, I'm just reading something that someone else has gathered and it's not It may not even be the truth, or it could be completely made up, and then it's an impostor interview, impostor interview. 00:23:55 Speaker 5: Denzel Washington says it best too. If you read the news, you're misinformed. If you don't read the news, you're uninformed. 00:24:04 Speaker 1: I like it. That's why I stay away from the news. And if you watch, I'd rather be uninformed than misinformed, because then you really sound like a dumbass. 00:24:13 Speaker 4: Or you watch the news, read the news, and then use your own personal logic. 00:24:17 Speaker 3: I don't watch or read the news, you guys. 00:24:19 Speaker 1: Actually it's a little can I tell you. I just look at my thing that pops up, and it's all the news that you need to know. It's like must news that happened throughout the week that you must know, and it's very brief and easy. So I'm like informed enough of what's going on in the world. But I certainly couldn't sit down and have like an in depth conversation about worldly news with someone. 00:24:43 Speaker 3: Right unless you have. 00:24:44 Speaker 4: Why don't you guys just get a producer John. He makes you a one sheet every week from now on. You don't even read the title, You just cold read it and it works. 00:24:54 Speaker 3: So thank you? 00:24:56 Speaker 1: Did we listen to Taylor Swift's new album, The Tortured Poet's Department. 00:25:00 Speaker 2: Okay you believe I did? Not? 00:25:02 Speaker 4: You told me something this morning. I was shook about a song she has on there. 00:25:05 Speaker 1: I know, and we're gonna get to a Jessica because it's one of my faves. After the album came out at twelve am Eastern Time, Taylor shocked the world a few hours later at two AM, announcing that The Tortured Poets Department is a secret double album. I was late to the game, so I only I have the one that's the thicky thick album Thick, Yeah, with all the goods, which is the one that has Thank you Amy on it. Wow, it's it's really freaking good. 00:25:37 Speaker 3: I you guys this morning. 00:25:39 Speaker 4: So I have been very busy with a lot of things this past week. So I haven't listened to any podcasts, I haven't listened to any new music, but I really want to listen to this. 00:25:47 Speaker 3: I heard it was incredible. Obviously it's Taylor, but. 00:25:51 Speaker 4: Lala told me this morning there was a song that came out called thank You Amy, and it's about Kim Kardashian. 00:25:57 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:25:57 Speaker 1: By the way, Kim k lost a hundred over a hundred thousand followers after it came out. 00:26:02 Speaker 4: And also, you guys, you remember Britney Spears came out with a song called if You Seek Amy, and obviously it. 00:26:10 Speaker 3: Was supposed to sound. 00:26:11 Speaker 1: Like f you seek me, if you fuck me? 00:26:14 Speaker 3: Yeah right, no, f you see Kamy? 00:26:18 Speaker 2: So fuck me? 00:26:20 Speaker 1: Yeah exactly. I have to take these off of my face now because they've been on for a while. 00:26:30 Speaker 3: What a nice glow you have now? Gorgeous? 00:26:34 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:26:34 Speaker 1: Well, Jess was like why is everyone named Amy? And I was like, what do you mean? If you seek Amy? By Britt, I was like, you're right, why is everyone named Amy? 00:26:46 Speaker 3: Does Ocean like the album is the number one question? 00:26:49 Speaker 1: This is what's hard? 00:26:50 Speaker 2: Okay? 00:26:51 Speaker 1: T Swift drops some f bombs? Can't you get the I can get probably the edited version, but it's more. I mean it lives up to the title of the album. Yeah, it's like a story book, which is what Taylor is most famous for, is telling a story through her music. People bond with it, right. She's very vulnerable the way that she writes, like I want you to listen to Thank You Amy. Okay, I love it. And again I was not a Taylor Swift fan, not that I didn't like her. I just didn't listen. So I was reading other people's reviews and then picking up on the easter eggs and then you become even more obsessed. But I couldn't really play it for Ocean because during my little listening party, I didn't know when the f words would drop. And she said to me, she said, Mom, this this song says bad Woods. And I said, I know, we're going to change it. She goes, yeah, we should change it. 00:27:50 Speaker 3: Oh, she's so good. 00:27:51 Speaker 1: So we listened to shake it off instead. Old school, old school. Let's see. Taylor said on X I'd written so much tortured poetry in the past two years and wanted to share it with you. So here's the second installment of the Tortured Poets Department. It has fifteen extra songs, and now the story isn't mine anymore. It's all yours. I have freaking chills. 00:28:14 Speaker 3: Good job, Taylor, once again, you've impressed us. 00:28:19 Speaker 1: It broke the record for biggest opening day by a pop album in Apple Music history. On April nineteenth, twenty four, the song Fortnite featuring post Malone became Spotify's most stream song in a single day, topping Easy on Me by Adele in twenty eleven. It's the first album in Spotify history to have over three hundred million streams in a single day. Thank You Amy obviously making waves and if you look at Thank You Amy, the reason why people picked up on the Easter Egg, which, by the way, I looked at it and I was like, why are these random letters. 00:28:53 Speaker 3: Capitalized that the most obvious Easter Egg? 00:28:57 Speaker 1: It was like what, Oh, I don't understand prison right. I'm like, ka, I'm kay, I'm what. 00:29:05 Speaker 2: Y yeah? 00:29:06 Speaker 1: K I am Kim. Clearly she's the bronze statue, and in it she goes, everyone knows my mother's a saintly woman, but she used to say she wished that you were dead. I'm like, yes, I can picture her mom being like, fuck this bitch Ki should just fucking die already, you know. Yeah one vers we really don't hope that, but I did like the line. 00:29:34 Speaker 4: Yes first says your kid comes home singing a song that only US two is going to know is about you. I wonder does like North and is it like public knowledge. 00:29:45 Speaker 1: When that happened? They were beefing Kim, and I want to say Kim was beefing with herself, like who beefs with Taylor Swift? 00:29:53 Speaker 3: Well, Kim and Kanye Kanye. 00:29:57 Speaker 1: And the thing is with the Kardashians, they have a very large following, but it's because they're polarizing. They don't have a beehive or Swifties right right, so when shit hits the fan with one of them, they don't get to send out their their fandom. 00:30:14 Speaker 3: Yeah, don't rely on it. 00:30:16 Speaker 1: They're kind of you know. 00:30:18 Speaker 4: Yes, So then what happened? What were you going to say? 00:30:21 Speaker 3: What? 00:30:21 Speaker 1: They were beefing and they were beefing, and then what would you say? Oh? And then North wants to do a TikTok with Kim on her on her TikTok, Yeah, the shake It Off song, and you can tell Kim's like, damn it. And then I think it was deleted a little while after, and then North starts getting into Northwest. Hey, my dad's yay, m hm. And I think then she started throwing shade at Tea Swift or what they don't bring. I don't know, I could be completely making this up. Remember I skim, I skim, We all skim. 00:30:58 Speaker 3: That's what this is that we're literally doing right now. 00:31:01 Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly right. Since the song came out, Kim Kardashian has apparently lost at least one hundred and twenty thousand followers. 00:31:08 Speaker 3: She doesn't notice, you got oh you know what? Maybe she does. Actually, if anyone notices. 00:31:11 Speaker 1: It's Kim, you know what, though, you have to she yes. 00:31:16 Speaker 2: Of course, six million followers. 00:31:17 Speaker 1: One hundred try she's in the three hundred No way, yes, you guys, She's not a hell of followers. I think she's three hundred and forty something. The reason, uh, three hundred and sixty three million? Yeah, he Swift has like maybe one twenty Beyonces in the threes, you know, watch what Happens Live? Does that? Who has more followers? Beyonce or Taylor Swift? Who has more followers Kim Kardashian or Kylie Jenner, I wouldn't know it's it's. 00:31:48 Speaker 3: You know, Selena was number one for a while, but I don't. 00:31:51 Speaker 1: Think she did she lose her number one spot. 00:31:53 Speaker 3: I'm looking. 00:31:54 Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought it was a soccer player, Kylie. 00:31:56 Speaker 3: Oh, of course, like Christiano Happen, Christiano Ronaldo, even christ Giano. 00:32:07 Speaker 1: Christiano Ronaldo, I think he does have one of the highest and maybe Messi those those I can't even find ballplayers. 00:32:15 Speaker 2: It looks like here in six hundred and twenty eight million for Cristiano Ronaldo. 00:32:20 Speaker 1: Oh yeah, is that who it is? 00:32:22 Speaker 2: John? 00:32:22 Speaker 6: And then and then Leo Messi is next with four hundred and ninety six point five million, and then Selena Gomez follows up after that at four hundred and twenty nine. This was as of January of twenty twenty four. 00:32:34 Speaker 4: That is wild and Kylie's yeah, I mean, Kylie's got four hundred She's I wonder what Taylor has? 00:32:39 Speaker 3: Does Kylie really have more than Taylor? I am shock. 00:32:43 Speaker 2: I was shocked. 00:32:44 Speaker 1: I was shot one hundred and. 00:32:45 Speaker 4: Eighty three million, Kyle, Kylie has I mean kind of not almost double, but you know that is crazy town. 00:32:52 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:32:53 Speaker 5: But here's the other thing, like think of how many like swifties like Ocean she didn't have social media. 00:32:59 Speaker 1: That's very true. 00:33:00 Speaker 2: Yeah, like she better not. She's missing just off those kids, hundreds of millions. 00:33:06 Speaker 3: That's so true that it's very true. 00:33:08 Speaker 1: Then, But also there's so many people who are like so well known worldwide who don't have it, that have like hardly any fall words because social media, most people using it are in our age group, and. 00:33:25 Speaker 3: We're millennial gen z, right, even gen Z. 00:33:28 Speaker 4: Like when my little brother's like, yeah, Instagram, like they're starting to get like a little bit of the ick, It's like, no, it's TikTok right now. 00:33:34 Speaker 3: Like Instagram's a little like like face talk. 00:33:37 Speaker 2: It's getting to the Facebook. 00:33:39 Speaker 1: Yeah, oh it's a little geriatric. 00:33:41 Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, wow. 00:33:43 Speaker 5: Why I like TikTok, but I don't like to make like TikTok videos. 00:33:46 Speaker 2: It's a lot of work, just like a picture. 00:33:48 Speaker 1: Yeah, it's hard enough having to get into the snow app than the face app. Everyone's like, why do face tune? But why don't you use the face app? And I'm like, no offense, bitches, but y'all don't look the way you look in your photos. Like at least I somewhat still resemble myself. I like, just throw on Charmed four. I'm like, oh, so that we all look really hot, and then when people see us in person. 00:34:10 Speaker 2: They go, wow, you're not as hot. 00:34:13 Speaker 4: I refuse to allow myself ever to use the video any video filters unless they're funny. Because of that, I'll get too used to seeing myself in the video like looking like just to be like hot, and then I'll be like in real life, I'll be like, what is this? 00:34:25 Speaker 1: Yeah, you just Paris filter. You get a little bit like of a glow. 00:34:29 Speaker 2: Los Angeles filter is pretty good too. 00:34:32 Speaker 5: There is nothing sexier than a girl that you like see on Instagram and then when she you see her in person, she's. 00:34:37 Speaker 1: Even better hotter. Yeah. See, I refuse to go and do like those those charmed filters or whatever on face app. I'm like, I'm just gonna go in to face to face tune clean up like the little things that are just like showing in this picture. But I don't feel like when I look in the mirror that that isn't it. 00:34:59 Speaker 2: It's not as or something. 00:35:01 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because it's it ain't forever No, and honey, neither are my wrinkles once. I'm not pregnant with some botox, no, some dasify. 00:35:09 Speaker 4: I keep looking at my smilelines and being I regret it so much. 00:35:12 Speaker 3: Lee, you were right. I can't wait. 00:35:14 Speaker 2: I'll go back Yeah, I got. 00:35:16 Speaker 1: We'll go back to okay, we'll go back to skin tight aesthetics. Lee will take a needle to your face and you'll be fine, because I would like to do that facial again. You guys say that you're lucky because you're a man, and men actually some wrinkles on their face perfect. I just feel like it makes them. It's like man man, yeah, like through I don't need like a Papa John. 00:35:40 Speaker 2: That was what I was going for. 00:35:41 Speaker 1: No, please, don't you just but that facial that I got. You guys, I used to feel right here. And when I did that to her, she goes, oh, yeah, that's where like a lot of like the build up happens on people. What do you mean feel like if I would feel right here, it would just be like a little bit bumpy. 00:35:56 Speaker 3: That's what's right here on me. 00:35:58 Speaker 4: So maybe I need to get the dude, like my hormonal acting or something. 00:36:01 Speaker 1: It is smooth. Wait, stop so smooth. 00:36:06 Speaker 3: I need to get that facial. 00:36:07 Speaker 1: Yeah, it was really good. Senator Elizabeth Warren says Apple and Green TEGs are ruining relationships. Am real. It's like when we throw Jason Caperna into the freaking mix of a group chat. 00:36:24 Speaker 3: Ruins it. 00:36:25 Speaker 1: He ruins it. The whole chat is freaking green. And then it's like, in quotes, so and So liked, yeah, I'm like, what is this? Jason pulit together shocked. 00:36:36 Speaker 3: Janet allows that. Janet. 00:36:38 Speaker 1: I can't believe she married him and had a baby. 00:36:40 Speaker 2: Honestly, aren't they in a legal battle too? Right now? 00:36:45 Speaker 3: It was Jason and Janet, I'm like, not that. 00:36:47 Speaker 5: Yeah, No, they're in an Apple's in illegal battle because they've monopolized the phone industry, which you can't monopolize like Amazon. They had to like outsource work to ups from what I know, because they couldn't be the only one. 00:37:00 Speaker 4: I've heard that delivery iPhone. 00:37:04 Speaker 1: Is it is monopoly the monopoly man. It is byfocals and every it says green text on iPhones. They're ruining relationships, That's right. It doesn't non iPhone users everywhere being excluded from group text. I get it from sports teams chats to vacation chat plans. They're getting cut out, missing out on plans and conversations. And who's to blame here? 00:37:29 Speaker 2: Apple? 00:37:30 Speaker 3: Apple, No, that bought the droid. 00:37:35 Speaker 2: Microsoft teams. 00:37:36 Speaker 3: Unless you want to sponsor us Microsoft, then we. 00:37:39 Speaker 1: By the way, let me tell you it takes really good pictures hundred yeah or no is. 00:37:47 Speaker 4: No the droid, the android or whatever, like whatever those are. My brother has one. He always ruins the family text. I love him though, and his photo his like content. I'm like, damn, the slow mov videos are so crisp. 00:38:00 Speaker 3: It's like incredible. 00:38:01 Speaker 5: Do you remember in snapchat when somebody didn't have an iPhone and they'd send you a video and it was like they sent it on like a cat. Yes, I just don't send me anything anymore, buddy, I can't see it. 00:38:16 Speaker 1: No, but really it is I somewhat judge. Like if I were to show up on a date and he like pulled out his phone, I'd be like. 00:38:27 Speaker 3: Show up on a date. No, you're not going to show up on a date with a green Texter. 00:38:32 Speaker 5: Text already before the Yeah, unless you got a social media no even yeah, you had a planet, unless you're a caller. 00:38:40 Speaker 2: Oh, those are even worse. I don't like a collar. 00:38:43 Speaker 3: I kind of like a collar a little bit. 00:38:45 Speaker 1: Actually, I love a caller and when they answer, I'm like, I start the phone call, I say I'm sorry for the cold call. That is so I just need to know X, Y and Z. 00:38:57 Speaker 3: I just need to know the sound of your voice. 00:39:00 Speaker 1: Not now now, I'm away from now, I'm away from the first date. 00:39:05 Speaker 2: See. 00:39:05 Speaker 1: That's the thing, though, I feel like I've never really been. Are we going to talk about this on the book? We are clear of it's exciting. However, I do I understand why these people would be like, please don't include John on the fucking text. I can't deal with the green coming through because it is obnoxious. 00:39:24 Speaker 3: It's so annoying. It's so bad. 00:39:26 Speaker 1: What's more annoying, though, the Apple users and their pretentious assholes or being the green Texter. I don't know what's more obnoxious us complaining about the green text where someone's simply sending a text and it being green. 00:39:41 Speaker 3: It's like, why do we care so much about the phone? Yeah? 00:39:43 Speaker 2: I don't know, because it's an extra text. 00:39:46 Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's like, don't and then you try to send me videos and photos from your and it doesn't come in I because iPhone doesn't have as good quality of videos and. 00:39:54 Speaker 3: Photios photios, videos and photos, so the iPhone can't receive the nicer, qual videos. So it's like a waste. 00:40:02 Speaker 4: It is a waste and also first world problems, you know. 00:40:08 Speaker 1: Yes, that is very true, Justin, and I appreciate you bringing us back to reality and what matters on this podcast with an android. 00:40:17 Speaker 3: We love you all the same. 00:40:19 Speaker 1: Really there you know the people that are like I love it, and they're everywhere. By the way, this is what we're talking about when this is going on in the world, and I'm like, I want everyone to know that everyone. Most people are aware of what's going on in the world. Okay, So that's why I say I appreciate you as we complain about stupid shit. 00:40:42 Speaker 2: We know what's going on. 00:40:43 Speaker 1: Yes, and we know it's important, and we know what we have and we hope that this can take you away from your reality world for just a moment. I would like to just say this real quick. Lana del raised Coachella, set, ran Long and Sparks a twenty eight thousand dollars. Fine, Lana, Well you know they have It's like a sound ordinance right. 00:41:06 Speaker 3: Well, rand long, and it's not fair. 00:41:08 Speaker 4: I mean, Lana's iconic, but it is also not fair to any artists that came on after her, or was she headlines. 00:41:13 Speaker 1: The headliness one other artists are joking worried about she and she arrived like only an hour before, which I guess that seems like a lot of time. 00:41:24 Speaker 2: Yeah, an hour before her set. Yeah, with your life, I mean, yeah, she probably did sound check. She probably did a whole bunch of that before she went. 00:41:32 Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I would just be so nervous that I'd be like, I need to get there and get grounded. 00:41:37 Speaker 2: You think that she was there last week. 00:41:39 Speaker 3: She's also Lana. She's just a vibe. 00:41:41 Speaker 4: She could go out on the stage and hold the mic out for everyone to sing and be like a good job, and everyone will lie. 00:41:46 Speaker 2: But I agree she could probably get nervous, because you get nervous, but you act like you're not and you always do well. She seem like you're never nervous. 00:41:52 Speaker 1: But that's the difference. I'm not trying to hold a Tuneana, you got. 00:41:59 Speaker 4: Can't. 00:42:00 Speaker 3: We have no idea. 00:42:01 Speaker 2: She has no idea. She would just walk up there, do her thing and get the fuck out. 00:42:05 Speaker 1: Or I'm sure there's a little bit of butterflies. But can I tell you who was so fun to watch? Is Gwen Steffani. Like she was like doing push ups on the stage. She was watching performers where there's like tens of thousands of people and they're just it's like you're in an intimate room with them, like watching Taylor Swift, and she's the size of a grain of rice, Okay, and she's just having the best time. Like I saw a video where she had a booger on stage and she was like hiding her face. She's like, I'm sorry you guys, and I'm like, this is wild. 00:42:41 Speaker 3: How much can I get for it? 00:42:44 Speaker 1: But by the way, nothing makes me more sick than a bugger. 00:42:48 Speaker 3: I'm don't talk about it, discuss I. 00:42:50 Speaker 2: Would take Swifts put it on a little pea trees. 00:42:58 Speaker 3: Okay, we're going to talk about Gwen Stefani. When Steffani, When Steffani, I. 00:43:01 Speaker 4: Have a noosh, Oh she's good. 00:43:06 Speaker 3: I have an interesting story about Gwen Stefani. 00:43:09 Speaker 1: I actually do tell me about it. 00:43:11 Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, Gwen Stefani. 00:43:13 Speaker 4: Fun fact, Kyle when he was in a DJ Duo opened his DJ Duo opened for Gwen Stefani, and we thought, surely, like they each had their rooms on opposite ends of the stadium. It was at T Mobile Arena in Vegas, and we thought, surely he wasn't gonna be able to meet her or see her. 00:43:28 Speaker 3: All of a sudden, we're in the green room. We're here and we're like, who is this. 00:43:32 Speaker 4: And it's Gwen and she goes, I just wanted to say Hi, I'm so excited. 00:43:36 Speaker 3: You guys are opening kindest. 00:43:37 Speaker 4: Also, she looked, well, probably still looks, but this was what five years ago, she looked twenty two. 00:43:45 Speaker 3: Her son were stunning, and she just was like, I just want to say hi, sweetest person, Like Hi, I'm Gwen. 00:43:50 Speaker 1: You're like yeah, I'm like, no shit, I got. 00:43:53 Speaker 3: A picture of it, but it's so she was amazing. 00:43:56 Speaker 1: Feel free to show it to us. 00:43:59 Speaker 3: Riveting we don't. 00:44:03 Speaker 1: I also want to shout out Eminem he has officially been sober for sixteen years and he posted a chip in his hand. 00:44:11 Speaker 4: Wow, that's incredibly incredible, right, that's so amazing. 00:44:16 Speaker 1: He's so hot. 00:44:17 Speaker 3: You think. 00:44:21 Speaker 1: He could turn gingy and I'd still be like, oh really, he's slim shady dude, the real shady. Yeah, please stand up, Hi, you stand up and I'll get on all fours. 00:44:34 Speaker 2: How fun. 00:44:37 Speaker 3: I don't think he's hot, but I used to. 00:44:40 Speaker 1: What happened? 00:44:41 Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know. 00:44:43 Speaker 1: Who's your dream guy, Jess. And when I say dream guy, I hate when people say like dream guy, because it's so so stupid to say, are you crush like celeb? Who would you? Who are you aesthetically drawn to? Like your type of guy? 00:44:57 Speaker 3: It's you guys. 00:44:58 Speaker 4: Mine changes all the time, and it's all over place. Kyle used to get so confused when I would be like, I would say something and he'd be like, your type is so weird? I really needed to keep training during that time and I didn't. I'm back in it now, obviously, so I will be competing eventually, I think in June, but thank you, Producer John. The ache was that that I won't be competing, and my relief is that Producer John was kind enough to put this up there even though I'm not competing, So thank you, and that I'm back in jiu jitsu. 00:57:51 Speaker 3: Thank you. 00:57:53 Speaker 1: We should do a montage of how many episodes in a row?
