It's a Glorious Friday with Covino and Rich CNR on FSR. Let's go to by here, let's go rage. Yeah so strong. I heard my six year old kids say, hasn't gone away? Let's go became a thing. It never went away, well, never go away. I mean it's always been around, but it became a rally cry for the weeniels Let's go.

00:00:51
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:00:53
Speaker 1: So, I'm Steve Covino. Nice to see you. Hey, that's Rich Davis, and we are Covino and Rich. We got brain Wave, we got prizes, we got weekend hob Nobbin, but right now we got a rock out. Let's go. And by the way, speaking of rocking out, is today the anniversary you said you were a hero back on teen Days I was. It was not the day Kirk Cobain died but it was this week? Oh is this week this week? Yeah? Oh well, anyway, I'm a big rock and roll fan. Actually, more of a rock Rich is more of a roll fan. Danny g is here hip hop guru. Iowa Sam, what would you say is your primary music choice?

00:01:32
Speaker 3: I mean probably grunge music, but like rock and roll, going out to grunge, blues, classic rock.

00:01:37
Speaker 1: It's gonna say early Polka.

00:01:39
Speaker 3: I thought you were a weird Al fan, like an early weird Al kind of guy listen to, whether it's John Candy and Home Alone or weird out like I'll get down with the Poka. I never heard my big hit what were they again? The the Waukeshaw Wankers or something I was thinking. I was trying to think of the day if I forget. Actually, Iowa Sam makes some great selections here on the show. He's our sound architect. He knows his music and Low and chron you know what. Loan and Crown's got your updates and I know he's hard at work. We'll find out what he listens to. I don't know what Loan Crown listens to in his spare time.

00:02:06
Speaker 1: Would you like to share, Isaac Vin Scully? Yeah, hits just over. That's so funny.

00:02:16
Speaker 4: The Kenosha Kickers.

00:02:17
Speaker 1: Yeah kicker. We'll go to Low and Crown later for an update. But he's hanging out and he'll be playing Brainway with us. It's your chance to win some prizes. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. It's a pleasure to be here. I hope you're having a great week again, so pumped to watch some baseball. Just look smacks in and relaxing this weekend. Now today, there's a story and that involves George Springer and to quote like an Italian guy from Brooklyn, the balls, the nerve of this gulls on this guy, Hey sepin guy. So George Springer pulling some antics of all people, and we're gonna get into that conversation of of of all people, you should never blank. There's a story about tortured fan bases, and we saw one unfurl and unfold last night with the Colorado Rockies. But I wanted to start the show with a guy that was getting a haircut. I'm sorry, not a haircut, A sweet haircut. A sweet haircut. And by the way, when you advertise your haircut as a sweet haircut, it better look super sweet. And I'm talking about Todd Monkin, the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns. He happened to miss the coaches group photo. Aha, he didn't miss it. They rescheduled it and he had an appointment, and he had an appointment. He was on the app of the cut. He's like, I want to get a haircut. He wanted to be in the team picture, the head coaching picture, but he was getting a little snippy, snippy, snip snip. Then here's what he said about it.

00:03:48
Speaker 5: Oh, I didn't.

00:03:49
Speaker 6: I really don't give it. I mean I did nothing to do with me. I mean they moved the meeting. I didn't miss it. I was just trying to get a sweet haircut. I mean that's what I was trying to do. And then they moved the meeting. Now you can blame that. I should have been the meeting when they moved it up. In my ass would have known. That's when it was, Yeah, okay, I got youa And was it disappointing that your ass was disappointing? We didn't gonna have to be a head coach. I'm not in the head coach's picture. You'd think with AI they could have done that quickly and got me in there. But no, it's the way it is. It'll be under the bridge, and what it'll matter most is whether we how we moved from here, and do we win or not that ultimately none of that will matter.

00:04:22
Speaker 1: I love how he pulled a you bit your ass. That's a good coach line right by the way, Danny g make this clear for me so again, head coach of the Browns, Todd Mounkin. Didn't miss the haircut, didn't miss the Oh, he didn't miss the haircut. He got a sweet haircut. He didn't miss the team photo. He was getting a haircut. They rescheduled it, but they ended up putting it out without him anyway. Yeah, that's what I'm getting at out of here.

00:04:47
Speaker 4: The way I read it was that he was he wasn't there after they rescheduled it.

00:04:52
Speaker 1: Yeah, but they put it in a program or whatever without it. We don't know yet, okay, because David could still photoshop I've been there, right, or use AI. But he almost puts it in a way like as if he already saw it without him. You know. That's why I'm confused by the story, because he's almost saying like, well, they could have done this, but it is what it is.

00:05:10
Speaker 4: Yeah, he's talking as if it was a done deal.

00:05:12
Speaker 1: Right, so you know, do they still have the chances out a way to make it right to just use Ai to throw him in there as if he was there. You know that's happened before. I saw Ai of him in a hot tub with Mike Grabel. But that's a different story, you know. I think there's an old story. I'm have to look this up because now it's all coming back to me. It was so long ago, but it's all coming back to me. I think someone was missing out of a Yankees team picture and they used Michael Ka to fill in the space and then then just put that person over Michael Kay. Put Michael Kay to the Yankees uniform. I just remember there's a stand in. No I remember him telling the sort of shot they used him as a stand in and he photoshopps someone over him because they couldn't make it. Now, not making a team picture that is like that sucks. I think that sucks. I would feel left out and when you're the head coach. Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't say, you know what, we're gonna have to reschedule this. He's had thirty one other guys that were there, but he's the head coach. I think that's a major disrespect to the guy.

00:06:08
Speaker 5: I really do.

00:06:09
Speaker 4: Yeah, and he's coming from being an offensive coordinator, so this is his big break as an NFL coach, his first opportunity.

00:06:17
Speaker 1: Those photos, Yeah, he's slighted here in my opinion, Guys, I have a story that's pretty much identical. I went to the Dominica Republic with my wife a couple of weeks ago, right, we were on vacation, and because of scheduling, they changed team picture day at West Hills Baseball, so I'm not in my team's photo. Same level of disrespecting.

00:06:39
Speaker 4: So the winningest coach in the valley.

00:06:43
Speaker 1: I mean, you're a big part of the team. I'm not in the picture.

00:06:45
Speaker 3: We have the technology now to just PLoP you right in there.

00:06:47
Speaker 5: Mike.

00:06:48
Speaker 1: Okay, let me tell you a quick, quick story, mister anti Ai.

00:06:51
Speaker 3: No, I was not even using AI. So my grandmother's eightieth birthday, she's gone. She's been gone for fifteen years, so this fem like early two thousand's her eightieth birthday. My my sister was supposed to make it to her birthday party at this restaurant for a family photo. All the family turned up for this. She was lately missed. She missed the photo. Everyone was livid. My grandma was hurt, livid, just sad.

00:07:13
Speaker 1: I'm only eighty one.

00:07:15
Speaker 3: We took my sister's picture and photoshopped her right on the corner, and it looked a little phony because it's like early two thousands, but it ended up being like, hey, we got everybody in there.

00:07:23
Speaker 1: So did your grandmother say Heaven's to Betsy at any point?

00:07:25
Speaker 3: Probably she was born in nineteen twenty one, so she probably grew up with Scott bless her rest in peace.

00:07:30
Speaker 1: I was Sam's grandma.

00:07:31
Speaker 4: But you know what, can I tell you, Grok is this picture doctored?

00:07:34
Speaker 1: Could I tell you I'm glad you said that. I was saying, because that's where I want to go with this real quick, because Big Mike, who runs his place, who he was very quick to big you know, guys, was a big difference between photo shopping someone in or out of a photo. And I said to Kevino, let's say we all went for a sweet dinner, right like a show dinner with sweet haircuts. You damn right, you bet your ass. By the way, there's so many thoughts I have with this story. The haircut was not that sweet. I looked at it.

00:08:05
Speaker 5: I looked at it real close.

00:08:06
Speaker 1: It wasn't the sweetest haircut. What did you want like some sweet like precision fage? Just okay? I thought maybe like a sweet burst fade or something.

00:08:14
Speaker 4: Same barber as Mark Davis.

00:08:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like a supercuts. I don't know. And John it was like a great clips. I mean it looks like you went to a place it could have took walkins. It was okay.

00:08:23
Speaker 4: You mean you don't think he had his personal barber flown in for this?

00:08:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, just an okay haircut. He's not Mantro ninety nine. You know who that is. There's a barber named Mantro ninety nine. That was the guy that used to do big poppies, Beard and all the ballers around baseball, basketball, football, like this guy would travel. He was the most coveted barber like in the early to mid two thirds. Don't know what he's doing now. I don't know what he's doing now, but he's no Vic Glen's. But he was the guy back then before Vic Blenz This is a fun fact. It might have been bs and you, Danny, remember when Manny Ramirez was a Dodger for a minute, duh, Manny would when Manny was out here, he wore number ninety nine in tribute to Mantro ninety nine, his traveling barber. That's not gonna joke. That popular. Yeah, and he was also used in the NBA. Once word got out, he was cutting up everybody. And now it's all about Vic Blen's who he met at the All Star Game, right, he was there. My question is this, Let's say we all go for a sweet show dinner, Danny g we put on our Sunday's best go for a nice steak dinner me you Covino spot, and we'll even invite Isaac Hia who's paying op it oh on there. And let's just say I was Sam can't make it And this photo is a really nice phote. It's our show, right, It's like all of us have worked together every day. Is it legit for us to be like, we'll just photoshop Sam into the photo? I think so? You know why again? Why he wasn't there? Slighting? Iowa Sam? And it doesn't matter if you're posting it too. In today's world. I think that's what matters. You know, this would be a team photo for them in real life. If it's like, why are you posting it because it feels like, well, where's Sam, then that doesn't seem rights disrespect Mike's in the photo, Danny, Spot, where's I with Sam? Photoshop them in? Yeah, the technology is there. It's much better than it used to be. Spot, our video guy does this often and you wouldn't even be able to tell. He did it recently with a family get together. Oh, he couldn't make it to his family's Thanksgiving or Christmas. I think it was Thanksgiving, so he photoshopped him and his wife and he posted it and I was like, damn, Spot, I didn't know you went to Jersey and back out. I didn't. I was like, Wow, that's incredible because this next level. That's weak and you could do that from your phone in three seconds now. But I do agree with Mike. There is something really different about photoshopping somebody in because it is a little misleading but sometimes maybe appropriate and photoshopping somebody out, well, you got these tools on your iPhone now, Like, yeah, if I take a picture of my on mid swing playing baseball, and I'm like, what a cool action shot of little Benny And in the background there's like a coach picking his nose. You could even on your iPhone do that little tool where you like, well, guess what Androids had that for a long time. Google's been pushing that for a while. I know Rich is so anti Android. I just wanted to throw that out there. He frowns on you guys with the green texts. But I'll give you an example of when photoshopping someone out is okay. Photoshopping someone out. My daughter I had her sweet sixteen recently and I was trying to find photos to add to the slide show, which was a nightmare by the way, it was a nightmare project for this guy. I'm not good at that stuff. And there was pictures I wanted to include because they were from memorable events, but her little ex boyfriend was in there, you know what I mean, So cut, delete, crop out. So I think there's a reason for those things. Isn't that why you make the new person always stand in the out? Yeah, exactly. Yeah, there's rules to this. If they're not really in the family, they're on the outside of the photo, so they're easy to cut off. And since we're talking about it, I do want to give props where they're due. My dad, Big Steve, claims that he's the official original inventor of what is now known as photoshop, because back in the day, when my aunts would have boyfriends or get divorced and so on and so forth, he would just put celebrity heads and cut them out and paste them or tape them on top of the heads if the photos were hanging up. So Tony Dancy was at your Thanks kimming, I'm like, why is Aunt Nancy with Michael Landon dancing was at your Christmas dinner? And is simply because that's who was on TV Guide or whatever, or who was on Cable magazine. So my dad like, yeah, yeah, I'm cutting now. He cut out John Lithgow and put him up in the family photo. A tattoo from Fantasy Island was at Easter. Wait, no, that was you weird. Yeah, So my dad used to do that. If you would go to my grandma's house, there'd be all these group photos with different heads on. People like we didn't want to see anymore. So this in summers instead of your divorced aand before photo shot. My dad really used to do that all the time and it was really funny. But the question is how do you feel about this Todd Munkin situation? And by the way, you know what this does. It sets a bad precedence for an already quote unquote cursed franchise. Right, It's like you couldn't even get this right and you're expecting to have a winning season. It just adds insult to injury. Well, it's like, can they do anything right as an organization? Oddly enough, A reporter asked Munkin, is this like so Cleveland Browns?

00:13:36
Speaker 5: Or what winning changes everything? Right? I told the coaches that the other day, right? Or playing well? How does a player stop the narrative? Play? Well? How do we stop a narrative on offense? Score?

00:13:47
Speaker 6: How does stop a narrative a winning win? It's pretty freaking simple, right, I mean? Is that not life in general?

00:13:54
Speaker 3: Right?

00:13:55
Speaker 5: There is a narrative out there that you know you're not a good husband. Will change be a good husband?

00:13:59
Speaker 1: Right?

00:14:00
Speaker 5: All that's part of it, right, change the narrative will become that. That's that's what we have to do, is real simple.

00:14:06
Speaker 1: I really really think though, motivational Monken. I really really think they should have rescheduled. I think it was a disrespect to him. There was a miscommunication for whatever the reason was. He's the head coach. Okay, ready, well they did reschedule. That's why he had the wrong time. It's Covino on Rich Picture Day, right, Covino Rich Picture Day. But Coveno, uh, just messed up his scheduling and I'm not there. I'm not there, but you do it without me.

00:14:29
Speaker 4: That's so wrong.

00:14:31
Speaker 1: That means the better analogy would I'm not saying I'm in the right. I'm saying then he probably should reschedule. He's the head coach, the coaching photo, the better analogy. How's that not a good analogy? Because if it was Covino on Rich Picture Day and Covino wasn't available, that's a little different. That would be like if they said we're doing a big heat.

00:14:48
Speaker 3: Coach of the coaches, full time host, what about the head coach of the coaches, the Cleveland coaches.

00:14:53
Speaker 1: He's one coach.

00:14:55
Speaker 4: It would be like we're gonna have a group photo of all full time f SR hosts and one of you couldn't be there.

00:15:03
Speaker 3: Hey, but yeah, they would that's a little little more on your book day, would they say not pictured, Sally Smith and John Smith and John pictured not pictured?

00:15:13
Speaker 1: I mean it's late, and they did if they did a bad president, if they did a Fox Sports Radio photo shoot of everyone, and that was the day that was like, you know, Danny G's taking coat of the Dodgers game because they rescheduled. What like you sorry, what what do you?

00:15:27
Speaker 7: What do you?

00:15:28
Speaker 1: You're comminating everyone. By the way, speaking of where the premier sports line up in the nation Fox Sports Radio, you read that on the wall, and you know, out with the old, in with the new. It's so funny how they just photoshop ste Gott's head right in the lineup. I was just gonna bring that up.

00:15:42
Speaker 3: It's not everybody standing there for a picture and so it's head is on your shoulder COVID.

00:15:48
Speaker 1: But hold on, Spot Stutts does not get enough shoulder in that picture. If you're watching on the if you're watching on the YouTube channel, I hate to put spot on the spot, but our video guy probably has access. There's that beautiful lineup. It's like, this is the premier sports lineup and it's all of our headshots and when Gottlieb left, the door hadn't even closed yet, and there was a stud Gott's photoshop over his head where Doug once was shouldered up.

00:16:13
Speaker 3: But they don't give stew Gott's very much shoulder. Everybody's kind of facing with the shoulders. See only has the shoulders face that Doug gottli pad in the photo.

00:16:21
Speaker 1: By the way, it's so funny. It's so funny when you really think about, like his sweet haircut, and he was all getting ready for it and everything. Every year they we make fun of all the coaches and what they're wearing and how they look. Anyway, we'd had a whole segment on it last year. So maybe he's better off he gets to choose like a photo he's proud of, and just maybe they include him in what do we do?

00:16:39
Speaker 5: Every year?

00:16:39
Speaker 3: We choked about what they wearing. Yeah, we're like, oh Andy Reid looks like a gym teacher. This guy looks like at this and we mock it every year, so you know, it's disrespectful.

00:16:48
Speaker 1: I feel bad for the guy. Another lesson learned commede on. I feel like you could get behind this if you if you say something like sweet haircut. It better be a sweet haircut. It would be like if if I came in I'm like, guys, I got some sweet new wardrobe and I came into Friday with sweatpans and a T shirt, Like you have to match what you said. But you will see on our YouTube channel that group shot there it is thank you, Spotty. There's Doug gott leaving the top right and snap your fingers sts right right over him, so as if Doug never existed. I hope they do the right thing and include him on it. I kind of feel bad for the dude, I really do. But again, it's so Browns of the Browns to get this wrong, and I think it's just every time something goes wrong this year, it's going to go back to like the dude didn't even didn't even know what the team photo was. Even though that's not the story, It'll come back to something stupid like that.

00:17:45
Speaker 4: Yeah, they moved the photo up, which caused the confusion. And I'm reading here that La Rams coach Sean mcvayh also had to miss the shot.

00:17:53
Speaker 1: Well, he was probably get a sweet flat top. He's probably doing whatever you're probably doing. He was doing some dips at the gym. No, he's got that that early two thousands aircut where it's just sort of down and then just lifted up the front. Yeah, push it forward and up in the front. Yeah, that's I mean, we all rocked it. We still kind of do. Requires a lot of hair jel and this sort of leads to something else. By the way, we'll take your phone calls and feedback to on the difference between photo shopping someone out and photo shopping someone in. And by the way, is anyone losing seegnet if they do photoshopp them in? Absolutely? But this is the perfect example, could you know? And I agree with I was Sam in the beginning, and there's a new one with Stu Gott, So as if it uh never existed, I would Sam. I'll back you up on this. If it's a big event or party. I do think it's sort of funny. I get why you would photoshop your sister into your grandma's eightieth party. Okay, there, look, there is a new old Yeah, but there's another one. It's for grandma. Really, This is another one where we're straight across Rich and Stu Gott's head is like right in between us.

00:18:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a banner, yes, and it.

00:18:57
Speaker 1: Looks so funny, but I get it because it's like I was saying, you're thinking, wow, the whole family was here. I just saw one of my high school friends, Christine, one of my best pals growing up. Her family they had Easter dinner and they're like, it was the first time we had everyone together, like except cousin Stephanie, And I thought, I was like, if she's the only one photoshopperin.

00:19:17
Speaker 3: It is micaiting for future generations. Though, yeah, that person wasn't even there. My sister made the dinner, she made the lunch, the birthday lunch. She was just missed the very beginning of it apart. So it's like, it's good that she's being represented by the photograph. And this doesn't represent like they were all raging and partying together. If it really is just that here's the thirty two head coaches of the NFL. This is the perfect time.

00:19:37
Speaker 1: We talked about when AI and when photoshop is good and when it's evil. This is the perfect time to use it. I can't think, actually, to be honest, of a better time. Hey, by the way, I think that you know so many leave an empty chair and just throw monkin in. There. So many thoughts revolving this story. I think we got moving forward a great excuse to miss some things, like, ah, Man, I was getting a sweet haircut. I guess I missed it. You're supposed to be hosting that event for man. I mixed the dates up. He's getting a sweet haircut.

00:20:07
Speaker 4: Can I ask questions?

00:20:08
Speaker 1: And sorry, Sam, that pizza party you wanted to have?

00:20:12
Speaker 5: Man?

00:20:12
Speaker 3: Sorry, sweet haircut? So busy, I'm busy that night. Did he get I'm sorry again if I wasn't listening and you guys are you addressing? But did he get the haircut for the picture and he ended up missing the picture?

00:20:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's probably it. Yeah, he didn't know, and he.

00:20:25
Speaker 3: Makes you clear I didn't miss it. They rescheduled, so he thought. He's like, I'm in the clear to get my haircut. They get sweet haircut for the pick, and he ends up missing that.

00:20:33
Speaker 1: Man. I mean to make it clear, I'm making this up. But let's just say he had the Let's say the he had a noon haircut, thinking the picture was in the afternoon. They're like, the.

00:20:41
Speaker 3: Picture is now in the morning. So he's like, you cannot move it up. You can always push it back a little bit, you can't move it up on people.

00:20:46
Speaker 1: Come on now, So speaking of this is what we're going to talk about next, and we want your feedback on photoshops and is it misleading and AI and should this be okay? I think for something like this it's fine. You know what could I tie it into the dating world? Sure? I read an interesting article and there's some you know, Instagram clips and it went along with it where they gotta make we gotta make the etiquette clear. You know, there's a time and place for stuff. They were saying, if you're on bumble tender hinge, all these different dating swiping websites, apps, Like to what level could you use filters in photoshop? Because there there was a very popular video a few weeks back that I remember showing you where some girls like would you believe this guy met me for drinks? And he's like and like within a drink, He's like, yeah, I'm gonna go. This is not as advertised and she was all like offended, and then she showed her profile picture and her in real life and it really was very different. Yeah, it's misleading, false advertising, false I would say false advertising, for sure, that's not good etiquette.

00:21:52
Speaker 3: If you guys are on a like am saying any of you guys, like anyone you're on a dating website, do you think your picture should only be at the most maybe two years ago old?

00:22:00
Speaker 4: Like it can't be that old.

00:22:02
Speaker 1: I think I think that the age of the photo is as is more irrelevant than like, how different do you look? Like like if you put on or lost a bunch of weight, if you're the color your your hairline, all these things are different. This happens with like hot real estate women. You're like, oh, yeah, Mary Johnson, all right, and then you see Mary Johnson like, oh that picture was from like thirty years.

00:22:25
Speaker 3: Ago, you liar, I don't want to buy this house now. I'm no longer buying this house, not interested.

00:22:31
Speaker 1: And it also happens with headshots, like in our business, like someone uses the same headshot for twenty years. They don't even look like that. I remember there was just approaching that time, Richual, we new new headshots. You kidding? Of course we do are? I mean I don't think. I don't think we look that different. But it's been a while, it's been a minute. I will say there we can be in denial.

00:22:49
Speaker 4: I don't know.

00:22:50
Speaker 1: There was an old school radio DJ I worked with. I won't call him out. I don't want to humiliate him. Call him out, yeah, call him out. But I worked at a radio station in New York ZE one hundred, and I was on the air there in the two thousands, right, I'm the ovist hen you were talking about. I was not Elvis, that's my boy. And I remember there would be a program when they would do concerts and there would be a page with all the DJs and the host pictures, and there was a guy that was like the late night guy. And I'm not age, I'm not agist, I'm not being an a hole, but he was an older fellow. He would use his headshot from like the mid eighties, and I remember being like, you must be handsome, Dan. It really was hilarious at the time. I was like, you know, we're in the mid two thousands now. His headshot looked like he was from Miami. Vice. 00:26:48
Speaker 5: Fox Sports Radio on.

00:26:49
Speaker 1: YouTube, Subscribe, hit that thumbs up icon and comment away, I don't know, I'm sympathizing a little too hard with Todd munkn I guess because I hate being left out of photos. And I'll tell you why. When I first became a dad, Rich and I our show was originally based out of New York City, and when I became a dad, I had to be in LA a lot because that's where baby Mama lived at the time, and I missed out on so many photo ops and photo opportunities. I was still doing the interviews, but from LA and I felt so unincluded all the time when I would see Rich pallin aroun with celebrities, and you know, I was doing it from an on site or off site location, I should say. And I just feel really bad for a guy that worked his way up to this point at a really proud moment for the dude, and he even says, Tod Munken, it's beyond disappointing. I was getting a sweet haircut, happy to be part of the head coaching photo and I missed it, or he didn't miss it, they rescheduled it.

00:27:55
Speaker 4: The timing turned out to be Covino that he was getting the haircut right when they were doing the actual photo shoot.

00:28:02
Speaker 1: Perfect. Yoh spot, you're the best spot. Our video guy was reading my mind. One of the biggest fights Cavino and I have ever gotten in over the decades of working together is the David Hasselhof fight. Have you guys ever heard about the David hasselhf fight? Well, hold your horses. Is Cavino and Rinch line from the Fox Sports Radio studio is a good one. Does your afternoon need a boost? Wait till you hear this hasslehf fight and try the new Starbucks Energy Refreshers. The Starbucks Refreshers you love now with an added boost the caffeine to power your day. Get your favorite flavor or try the new Mango Strawberry Energy Refresher or Mango Dream Energy Drake. Get the new Energy Refreshers at Starbucks today to order, go to the app right now, Yeah, Starbucks App. I know you got it, so real quick to wrap up the silly photo conversation. This is the dumbest yet one of the bigger fights we got in. Well, remember the show's based in New York, but I'm in LA. We're still doing the show and I'm still doing the interviews. So I had one request, one request for Rich and spot he Man when we have guests. I know it sounds stupid if I'm not there, because I tried to be there as much as I could. If I'm not there, used to use the cardboard cutout of me. I know it's stupid. He made a cardboard funny and memorable. No, it was actually the truth is it was an Elvis Presley cutout. We just put my head on it.

00:29:20
Speaker 5: But it was funny.

00:29:22
Speaker 1: It could be part of it and feel included, because I already felt what's the opposite of included, like an excluded? I felt excluded, and even though it's the show, I'm on right, So I was like, just do me that solid man. I'm out here trying to be a dad. I'm in a tough situation. And one day Hasselhoff was there. We had a really cool interview and they excluded me, and Rich lied to me and said, dude, I didn't have time to get the card.

00:29:47
Speaker 4: The wait was Dane Cook there the same day because there's a picture spot put up of.

00:29:52
Speaker 1: That's but Danny, let me let me let me give you that. I'm sorry, that's young Rich. Let me give you the scenario. The scenario was simple. You know what a celebrit he gets done doing an interview, Danny. You've seen it at Radio Row on our show, where the publicists like, oh, we gotta run. Yeah, you know a lot of times are on to the next show. Hasselhoff and his people like, great interview, We'll see you guys soon. And I was like, quick, could do a quick picture, and I didn't have the time in that moment she grabbed he knows cardboard cutout, And again he sticks with the lie because if you look closely, the cardboard cutout is right behind him. He was like, I didn't have time right time. It's you thought you excluded me. You thought I wanted to grab that stupid cardboard cutout exactly. See, So the truth is what really bothered me, and I felt disrespected. I felt excluded, and I'm like, yeah, that sucks, man, because so there I am photoshopped. So that spot photoshot what.

00:30:41
Speaker 4: It happened to the cardboard cutout? By the way, did you guys get to take it with you and you left?

00:30:45
Speaker 1: It's somewhere, it is, it's somewhere. Uh so you know they photo shot me in just to stop me from crying about it, put in my passenger seat for cardpoll lants. But it's, uh, it's a dude, It's it's a crappy feeling because you want to be there, but you could and can you imagine how he must have felt? So yeah, I'm over sympathizing, maybe, but Todd Munkin's not in the head coach photo without a sweet haircut. But hopefully they photoshop him in. I guess he doesn't know. We don't know what they're gonna do with that yet. We'll keep you posted. But it goes with that tortured fan base of the Browns. And speaking of tortured fan bases, the Rockies, dude, yeah, the Rocky We thought last night was going to be the night if they had one last night, if the Rockies had got it done and it went to extras, right, it went to extras against the padreser bro. If the Rockies had won last night, they would have been above five hundred for the first time since twenty twenty two. And I was rooting for that, for the story, for the crazy fans in Denver that are really just trying to root for something, and also because Danny, You're a Dodgers fan, so you wanted the Padres to lose anyway, exactly personally. The only thing I like about the Rockies is their logo, the C in the R. I like that Cavino and rich It's true, it looks nice. It was my son's first first baseball team. I'm in in his pony ball, and I remember telling him I think your team could be in the Baseball Survivor League with Dan Byer, and I picked the Padres this week, so I was actually rooting for the Padres, and I was like, oh, damn man, the Rockies are really hot right now. Because it was tied and it went to the twelfth inning. And the crazy part is, as you would say, Danny Off, they were saying, the circumstances to this is even worse because they walked intentionally too Betters yep to get to Bogart's thinking it was a better matchup and they could try to get out of this inning. And because he hits a lot of grounders, try to set up that DP, that little double play action. But instead here's the final call last night, Padres coming out on top against the Rockies.

00:32:40
Speaker 8: Beozo, if I may is the crafty righty, Yes, old thing's below the speed limit, but he does get some rollover ground balls trying to get one here.

00:32:56
Speaker 1: Not gonna happen, not gonna happen. And fact it's going to be a walk off the Slam, not the excitement, you're not gonna happen, gonna happen, No ground balls, just the Grand Slam and the.

00:33:07
Speaker 4: Honestly, obviously the Rockies radio network.

00:33:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's so clear as day, not going to do it, clear as day. The Rockies radio network can't do it. And that's what's in. So the Padres win and they go above five hundred, they go about five hundred, five hundred, but the Rockies are now what five and six, six and six and six and seven. So here's the question, as we go to ILove for an update, think about this, NFL, NHL, Major League Baseball, NBA? What fan base do you think has the right to call themselves the most tortured fan? Is it the Cleveland Browns? Is it the Colorado Rockies? Like I can think of other teams, but I want you to make the argument. Let us know who you think could claim they are the most tortured fan. Well, you think about it, We'll think about it. We'll go to Isaac for an update.

00:33:59
Speaker 9: What's up, ilow, While we got a round two of the Masters in full swing as we speak, Rory McElroy as a two shot lead at eight under par overall.

00:34:07
Speaker 1: Today. He's three under through thirteen.

00:34:08
Speaker 9: In the NFL, the Green Bay Packers trading receiver Dontavian Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles for two draft picks Baseball cub starters show to Emon Agad and no hitter going through six innings against the Pirates today with nine strikeouts. He was then taken out after one hundred pitches despite striking out two in the top of the sixth inning. Reliever Caleb Thielbarr came in to start the seventh inning with the game scoreless and promptly allowed a single to Ryan O'Hearn and then a home run to Brian Reynolds, and the Pirates won the game. Two to not think, does your afternoon need a boost?

00:34:39
Speaker 1: Try the new.

00:34:40
Speaker 9: Starbucks Energy Refreshers. The Starbucks Refreshers you love now with an added boost of caffeine to power your afternoon. Russini said, in a statement issued at the time by the Athletic, quote, the photos don't represent the group of six people who are hanging out during the day unquote. Now Front Office Sports reports that the Athletic is quote pressing Russini for proof that they were there with other people unquote, and that all report it by Front Office Sports just a short time ago.

00:35:42
Speaker 1: Back to you, guys, know, I like Dana Rossini, so I don't want to be biased. She's always been cool with us. We like her. That was something Cavino said early on. He goes, yeah, we like Diana. We want her in Verbel's story to check out because they both seem like good people. Right, But you said, why are these other people if you want to put the fire out? Why haven't we seen the other photo? Like if me and Isaac were on a romant to get away, what do you mean if and I said, and I said, hey, guys, it wasn't me and Isaac having a candlelight dinner. Good Danny g Cavena, the whole team was there. And by the way, they might have those photos. We don't. I don't know, well, I know, you know, I'm still rooting for that to be okay. They both have families, and if it is BS, then I feel bad they had to go through this. But oo oof oof is right hot, a sticky story that we could all learn from. Right, Yeah, be careful, everybody, Isaac. We're not going to the melting pot tonight.

00:36:38
Speaker 9: I'll cancel the reservation day.

00:36:40
Speaker 1: Don't mind if I FONDU. By the way, Today's National funde. They so enjoy dippings. Nice nice, all right, So again, tortured fan bases, There is a formula, right, Your buddy created a formula of the most tortured fan base. He still exists. He clips to be the most tortured fan because the teams he likes are all going awful. But let's get the falls go. Let's be interactive. It's a Friday. We'll have some fun. Horse around a little. As far as tortured fan bases, let's go straight to your feedback, Danny G Who is on the Who's on the horn?

00:40:31
Speaker 4: As they say, let's start in Saint Paul, Minnesota. I'm sure you know where Mike is headed.

00:40:37
Speaker 1: No, Mike, you up? Mike? Oh god?

00:40:42
Speaker 2: I mean ten NFC title game appearances, winning four of them, losing all four of the Super Bowls. The Vikings have been in.

00:40:53
Speaker 1: I wonder this sometimes. Is it worse to get there and constantly just fall short, or is it worse to not even get close like the Browns? Like, what's worse? I think it's worse to get so close and then not get it. I'll be honest. I can never say anything about my forty nine ers because they brought me joy as a child. But the forty nine ers, do you know how many NFC Championship games and Super Bowls they've lost in the last let's say, fifteen years. It's been the story of like, oh oh almost like but so imagine if that was forever, right, I mean, that's that's the like is tough. Yeah, even with baseball, you're still probably living in the world of Pebby Pocket and Cladden Highlight. Yeabe, you had eighty seven and ninety one to live for. I know, but that's been a long time as well as we got Danny.

00:41:34
Speaker 4: You know, who should ask the question too, about you know, getting close but never getting over the hump? Tom and Kentucky's a Bills fan?

00:41:42
Speaker 1: What's up?

00:41:43
Speaker 4: Tom?

00:41:44
Speaker 2: Hey? Guys love the show?

00:41:45
Speaker 7: Hey?

00:41:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, I grew up in Buffalo fifty years old, so in my lifetime I have watched the Bills lose four Super Bowls. Get Josh Allen, get good thirteen seconds even this last year. Was it a catch? Was it not a catch? Every time something happens, they either change a rule, give it a name, But it's just Mortant.

00:42:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know I gotta be there and for you, bro. The bummer is that you do realize that when everyone's team is out, their default is like, yeah, the Bills, Like when my team's out, I'm like, yeah, it'd be nice and dil like Josh Allen, the Bills deserve it. So the fans don't you even have like outsiders pulling for you. That means nothing. So we'll take the rest of your feedback. The most tortured fan base, We'll get to that. Plus we'll play brain Wave give away. Some prizes coming up right here on Fox Sports Radio.
