<v Speaker 1>Welcome on in to the non Tender Podcast, Episode one
<v Speaker 1>hundred and forty. Thank you all for being here. That
<v Speaker 1>music is too low. Now, it's too low.
<v Speaker 2>It's too low.
<v Speaker 1>I want to cover your beautiful voice. Welcome on into
<v Speaker 1>the Nontendo Podcast. Everybody so excited to have you here,
<v Speaker 1>and look off the rip. I'm gonna let you know
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot of changes happening around here now that
<v Speaker 1>Ham's gone. I had to introduce somebody new. I had
<v Speaker 1>to bring in a new Ying to my Yang, a
<v Speaker 1>new Ham to my wood. But I think I figured
<v Speaker 1>it out, and I think I've got something even better
<v Speaker 1>than ever before. So I'd like to introduce you to
<v Speaker 1>the new Nontendo co host.
<v Speaker 2>Welcome on in.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, shock, are you surprised? I mean, no one saw
<v Speaker 1>it coming. All right, you get the intro.
<v Speaker 3>Because of this, I fired yourself and show your shame.
<v Speaker 4>I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 2>I messed it up.
<v Speaker 1>He literally said, oh, what's so loud and just turned
<v Speaker 1>down the intro music. I was like, yeah, the intro
<v Speaker 1>music was probably loud.
<v Speaker 2>I blew it, guys, I'm sorry, Kim.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you for being here. Uh you want to you
<v Speaker 1>want to talk about anything?
<v Speaker 4>I think we should talk about in the room.
<v Speaker 1>We don't have to talk about that yet. Is Kim
<v Speaker 1>loud enough? Is my co host loud enough? She could
<v Speaker 1>always be loud. The answer is always no. So oh, echo,
<v Speaker 1>what do we echo?
<v Speaker 4>Somebody's saying echo, there might be something open.
<v Speaker 2>It's fine.
<v Speaker 1>Now there probably isn't an echo. But let's let's pause.
<v Speaker 1>Let's do a whole channel rip. Let's just pull the
<v Speaker 1>handbrake and check for do you hear an echo? No,
<v Speaker 1>I don't hear an echo, super echo.
<v Speaker 5>I feel like you're you're gas lighting us.
<v Speaker 1>It's completely fine, there's absolutely no issue. Great, okay, So
<v Speaker 1>here's the thing. I have a sty on my eye,
<v Speaker 1>which has actually gotten a lot better through the day,
<v Speaker 1>and I think it's because I've been wearing this keeps
<v Speaker 1>the strain off, like helping my eye and be it
<v Speaker 1>phillless stress.
<v Speaker 4>That movie where Kurt Russell had the eyepad. You're kind
<v Speaker 4>of giving that.
<v Speaker 1>Skip from New York, China, Escape from New York. All right,
<v Speaker 1>So here's the thing, everybody, I don't have to really
<v Speaker 1>wear this. It is helping, but I don't have to
<v Speaker 1>wear it. Here's the thing, everybody, Ham's gone as you
<v Speaker 1>may or may not know. So here's what we're gonna do. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>kimberly Tune is going to help out as much as
<v Speaker 1>she possibly can as a new host, so that every
<v Speaker 1>week I have somebody so to do that. We've moved
<v Speaker 1>the show to six pm so that Kim's mom can
<v Speaker 1>come over and take care of stinky Jim or sticky
<v Speaker 1>Jim Jim like he's forgetting what HANMD called him, so
<v Speaker 1>that we can be here with you guys, which means
<v Speaker 1>we get a little bit of a break, although not
<v Speaker 1>really because of the way you have to work.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's weird the breaks now are still doing something else.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we were talking about that last night. Literally since
<v Speaker 1>we've had the baby, there hasn't been a break.
<v Speaker 4>Now the second he takes an album like oh good,
<v Speaker 4>I can do the dishes.
<v Speaker 1>You don't get a break. If he goes to bed,
<v Speaker 1>or if Kim's mom comes over to take a shift,
<v Speaker 1>that's like our chance to now clean the house or
<v Speaker 1>to do something like productive that we've been putting off.
<v Speaker 2>So yep, maybe maybe got a break, But is there
<v Speaker 2>a positive, like you guys get to talk more because
<v Speaker 2>I know you guys weren't ships so.
<v Speaker 4>Sometimes Yeah, we've the last couple of nights he slept
<v Speaker 4>in the room, though, so we we didn't.
<v Speaker 1>The last couple of nights. We've been trying to do that,
<v Speaker 1>but last night we didn't sleep.
<v Speaker 2>Oh I'm saying that podcast gives you a reason to talk,
<v Speaker 2>Oh a chance.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, this is it's a little different. Still, it's
<v Speaker 1>not the same as getting it down and talk with
<v Speaker 1>my wife. You know, I'm in a room with my.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, what do we have to talk about right now? Anyway?
<v Speaker 4>How many would you like?
<v Speaker 1>I could talk to you.
<v Speaker 2>I miss you.
<v Speaker 1>I could have a conversation about something good because.
<v Speaker 4>You right now?
<v Speaker 1>Okay?
<v Speaker 6>Cool?
<v Speaker 1>Oh? So much echo again?
<v Speaker 2>It sounds like every time I switch to myself there's
<v Speaker 2>an echo.
<v Speaker 1>But let's let's pause. Let's all right, let's figure that out.
<v Speaker 1>I'm too tired for this guy. Max. Mike is echoey.
<v Speaker 1>Cut to your mic, cut to you, cut to whatever's
<v Speaker 1>messing up? Check it and see yo yo yo? Is
<v Speaker 1>this echoy purple shirt? Echoes? All right? Now, you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>have to wait because I have to wait for YouTube
<v Speaker 1>to catch up. It takes a long time. So much
<v Speaker 1>sounds I don't still wait if you haven't switched yet.
<v Speaker 2>All right, still waiting.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, okay, there's an echo.
<v Speaker 2>It's just when we cut to me or cut to us.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, always something with these chords.
<v Speaker 1>I'm telling them, you are sorely missed. Right now, all right,
<v Speaker 1>hold on a second here again. Uh no, all right,
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna have to cut to the camera.
<v Speaker 2>Hold on.
<v Speaker 1>Testing what Uh wait? That didn't do it? Oh, I
<v Speaker 1>know what it's doing it.
<v Speaker 2>It's fixed. It's fixed, guys, Thank you would for fixing it.
<v Speaker 2>I'm still learning, guys, got the training wheels on.
<v Speaker 1>I'm extremely tired. I put out a video yesterday. I
<v Speaker 1>put out a video today right. The reason why the
<v Speaker 1>podcast is live is because I only just got the
<v Speaker 1>video like an hour ago from my editor, and then
<v Speaker 1>I had to fix and edit while everyone was here,
<v Speaker 1>and then I was uploading it and I was contractually
<v Speaker 1>obligated to put it up today. But also it's one
<v Speaker 1>week of switch, was the video, so it had to
<v Speaker 1>be today.
<v Speaker 2>So I was stuck.
<v Speaker 1>Uploading that right before we went live. And I was
<v Speaker 1>also last night at like eleven pm, I was shooting
<v Speaker 1>another video for the weekend. Yeah, I'm kind of I'm
<v Speaker 1>burnt out. I'm kind of burning the candle at every end.
<v Speaker 1>Picture a picture a candle that has like seventeen ends.
<v Speaker 4>Picture a circular candle, and then light it on fire.
<v Speaker 2>All of them are burning.
<v Speaker 1>And then last night we didn't get any sleep.
<v Speaker 4>It was bad.
<v Speaker 1>So at seven am we finally gave up, and you
<v Speaker 1>just got out of bed and took care of him
<v Speaker 1>for a few hours, and then I slept, and then
<v Speaker 1>I came and took him so you could sleep for
<v Speaker 1>a few hours.
<v Speaker 4>Yep, Oh, it's yeah, it's a lot. I don't again,
<v Speaker 4>I don't know how people do this with multiple kids.
<v Speaker 1>I also match, you're doing great. Yes, yes, thank you.
<v Speaker 1>I mean the intro thing was a bit weird, but
<v Speaker 1>the other thing wasn't your fault. I think it makes
<v Speaker 1>it fun. Yeah, make the more issues the better, the.
<v Speaker 2>More practice I get, I promise, I'm still getting into
<v Speaker 2>the swing of things.
<v Speaker 1>It's been a while since i've cut like normally.
<v Speaker 2>We will.
<v Speaker 1>We'll get there. Also, hid to Bengal, who's here here?
<v Speaker 2>Hello?
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, quickly let me sorry. I know we're getting
<v Speaker 1>pretty far in here. I want to talk about the
<v Speaker 1>switch too, but yeah, let me just wrap up my thoughts.
<v Speaker 1>So We're gonna go live at six from now on
<v Speaker 1>on Thursdays. That's Eastern time, so three hours later than normal.
<v Speaker 1>Kim's gonna host it with me, and then Max and Bingal.
<v Speaker 1>These guys have an open invitation to come down any
<v Speaker 1>week they want. It's a little harder for them than
<v Speaker 1>it was for him because there's trains and ubers and everything.
<v Speaker 1>But Max is trying to maybe look into maybe a
<v Speaker 1>solution for that.
<v Speaker 5>Maybe maybe I am gonna try my best to get
<v Speaker 5>over my fear of driving.
<v Speaker 1>If you did that, it was so of all of
<v Speaker 1>our issues. But I'm not going to put pressure on
<v Speaker 1>you because I went through a period of being scared
<v Speaker 1>about that when we first moved here. Yeah, and I
<v Speaker 1>know how daunting.
<v Speaker 4>In the city. I couldn't do it. Oh my god,
<v Speaker 4>I worry. I learned in Manhattan it's crazy.
<v Speaker 1>Well, you kind of just have to drive across the
<v Speaker 1>highway on the bottom bit to get out. It's not
<v Speaker 1>as bad.
<v Speaker 5>My story of driving Manhattan, how I learned My uncle
<v Speaker 5>was too drunk and he forced me to drive.
<v Speaker 4>It's kind of like when you throw a kid into
<v Speaker 4>a lake and hope it knows how to swim. Isn't it.
<v Speaker 1>When you get out and drive fee you just go
<v Speaker 1>across Statton Island, right, Yeah, that's pretty easy. Yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's not too bad. It's not driving through Manhattan.
<v Speaker 5>No Manhattan, I drove. Yeah, I used to drive through
<v Speaker 5>Manhattan and it scared the hell out of me.
<v Speaker 4>Everything, even riding shotgun. It's terrifying in Manhattan. Because it's all.
<v Speaker 1>Right, sorry about all that. I can't I can't say
<v Speaker 1>this enough. I was very stressed when we went live.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna calm down. Let's focus on in because the
<v Speaker 1>switch to is out. Oh yeah, I've been playing it
<v Speaker 1>a lot, Bingo has been playing in a lot, Kim's
<v Speaker 1>been playing it a little bit over the last couple
<v Speaker 1>of days. And Max doesn't have one.
<v Speaker 7>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>You did play one today because they played on the
<v Speaker 1>train on the way up, which, by the way, is
<v Speaker 1>there some story there? You kept saying you were waiting
<v Speaker 1>to tell me. Oh oh, Bengals show everyone your switch to.
<v Speaker 1>So apparently apparently Max was flabbergasted.
<v Speaker 2>This is how this man transports his switch to on
<v Speaker 2>the public.
<v Speaker 1>That's not too bad. You don't have a case yet. Case.
<v Speaker 2>I just think it's crazy.
<v Speaker 1>Tell me and I have this for you.
<v Speaker 4>No, I got it. I got it for I'm gonna
<v Speaker 4>cut the catch.
<v Speaker 6>Now.
<v Speaker 1>The reason why I gave you that, you haven't you
<v Speaker 1>need to cut and show. The reason why I gave
<v Speaker 1>you that is because one I got it for free,
<v Speaker 1>and two I don't want it because I want my
<v Speaker 1>satisfy one. And by the way, I'm replacing that when
<v Speaker 1>I get the satisfies one, and I'll give you the
<v Speaker 1>beat him up satisfy one. Look at that, but that
<v Speaker 1>that will hopefully get you home without having to glad
<v Speaker 1>wrap your switch in clean film.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, this is nice. This is real nice. Thanks man,
<v Speaker 2>You're welcome.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, let's dive into some switch talk. Kimberly, where do
<v Speaker 1>you want to begin?
<v Speaker 6>Who?
<v Speaker 4>I don't know? Do you want to talk about like,
<v Speaker 4>I mean, you've done videos on like your first thoughts
<v Speaker 4>on it and everything.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I've done a lot of videos so so far.
<v Speaker 1>The videos I've done who did the unboxing? I did
<v Speaker 1>first impressions of Mario Kart. I reviewed every single accessory today.
<v Speaker 1>I uploaded one week with the switch, and then over
<v Speaker 1>the weekend you're gonna get me reviewing every single switch
<v Speaker 1>to launch games.
<v Speaker 4>I was wondering if the launch games was gonna yeah next.
<v Speaker 1>That's the next video that I'm doing is being edited
<v Speaker 1>right now, and while I've been doing all of that.
<v Speaker 1>By the way, I don't know if I even told
<v Speaker 1>you this. I think I might have. The switch to
<v Speaker 1>has officially sold three point five million, yes, which is crazy.
<v Speaker 1>And you can show this. You can cut to my
<v Speaker 1>screen here. Here's a graphic that Nintendo shared up on Twitter.
<v Speaker 1>Over three point five million units within the first four
<v Speaker 1>days worldwide. So you know, I don't know why, but
<v Speaker 1>let's just give a round of applause. Let's just clap
<v Speaker 1>for the billion dollar company as an example here cut
<v Speaker 1>away for a second because I want to go back
<v Speaker 1>to my dog as an example here of what that
<v Speaker 1>looks like per day. I don't have that because I
<v Speaker 1>copy and pasted the same thing. Hold on, let me
<v Speaker 1>grab it. I put it into our discord. I just
<v Speaker 1>copy pasted the same link that someone did a comparison
<v Speaker 1>of what that What that means? Uh bp beep bbb beep.
<v Speaker 2>What was it to like other console launches? Beep? Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I saved it this morning, and apparently I didn't save it.
<v Speaker 1>Apparently I lost it.
<v Speaker 4>I know the PS four wasn't even close to that
<v Speaker 4>on its first week.
<v Speaker 1>I thought I put it into a doc. I guess not,
<v Speaker 1>I guess I messed up. Oh wait, no, it's right here.
<v Speaker 2>Sorry about that screensharing You ready?
<v Speaker 1>No, okay, you can now all right? Someone did this
<v Speaker 1>over on Instagram. How fast did it sell? So this
<v Speaker 1>is breaking it down per day. So obviously we don't
<v Speaker 1>know exactly like how many PlayStations were sold in the
<v Speaker 1>first four days, because we didn't really have that information,
<v Speaker 1>but we did know in the first sixteen days, and
<v Speaker 1>then for the PlayStation four, and then for the PlayStation
<v Speaker 1>five we knew within the first month. So someone essentially
<v Speaker 1>just calculated it broke it all down. So the switch
<v Speaker 1>was eight hundred and seventy five thousand a day. The
<v Speaker 1>next closest is PlayStation four with one hundred and thirty
<v Speaker 1>one thousand, and then obviously if it was mean to
<v Speaker 1>even put steam Deck on there, about two thousand a day.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, that's breaking it down over four years, so
<v Speaker 1>the launch window was probably better. But total this and
<v Speaker 1>this is the funny thing that everybody that I was
<v Speaker 1>trying to in so many videos, I was trying to
<v Speaker 1>explain it. People telling me that the switch to is
<v Speaker 1>going to fail because of the steam Deck. The steam
<v Speaker 1>Deck in total, in the last four almost five years,
<v Speaker 1>has sold three point five million.
<v Speaker 2>The switch To did it in four days.
<v Speaker 5>I to buy the steam Deck, like, I don't want
<v Speaker 5>to go to Steam to buy like hardware.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, you can't get it at a store.
<v Speaker 1>I think, can you get it? Can get it best Buy? No, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I think it's just it retailer.
<v Speaker 2>You got to wait for them to ship it to you.
<v Speaker 4>It's only in Japan, it's available at retailers consensus. That
<v Speaker 4>is still that hurts the sales big time, I would
<v Speaker 4>imagine for sure.
<v Speaker 1>Now some people try to point out that PlayStation five
<v Speaker 1>is a different case because it was during the pandemic
<v Speaker 1>and there was a chip shortage. But again, this is
<v Speaker 1>going over the first month, and it it kind of
<v Speaker 1>I don't think that matters in the grand scheme of things.
<v Speaker 4>I feel like it still would have gotten outsold, but
<v Speaker 4>I think the numbers would have been better.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe they would have been better at launch, but again
<v Speaker 1>this is breaking down the first month, so yeah, you know,
<v Speaker 1>and also like if the PlayStation five was in a
<v Speaker 1>position to sell that many I think Sony would have
<v Speaker 1>figured it out.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, maybe it's hard to say. With a chip shortage.
<v Speaker 4>There was a huge demand for it. I know that
<v Speaker 4>because like people were getting super.
<v Speaker 1>There was I do remember that being demand. Yeah, it's
<v Speaker 1>was a thousand.
<v Speaker 4>It was insane looking on Facebook marketplace.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I think another thing to think of there is
<v Speaker 1>like the Switch has sold what one hundred and fifty
<v Speaker 1>million or something like that. Yeah, and then the PlayStation five,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how many they've sold, like one hundred
<v Speaker 1>and twenty millions something, not even actually, I don't think
<v Speaker 1>it's even that. How many cut away for a second,
<v Speaker 1>you got it? How many ps fives have sold? Total?
<v Speaker 1>So they've sold eighty million PlayStation fives. It's pretty good.
<v Speaker 1>But then again, we have the switches first month here,
<v Speaker 1>and it's almost identical to PlayStation five's first month. And
<v Speaker 1>then the Switch went on to sell one hundred and
<v Speaker 1>fifty million and the PlayStation hasn't. So I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if that was I don't know if they have had
<v Speaker 1>What I'm saying is I don't know if they had
<v Speaker 1>more stock, if it would have been that different. Like
<v Speaker 1>maybe double can be given double maybe because that's that's
<v Speaker 1>still two hundred thousands diminished the switch.
<v Speaker 4>But I feel like a lot of people buy two switches.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, yeah, there's of.
<v Speaker 4>Kids, because that's more of like a family contress.
<v Speaker 1>There's a lot that goes into Nintendo's success, and that's
<v Speaker 1>all definitely part of it, and as much as people
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people on the other side of the
<v Speaker 1>fence were clowning on it only having one game or
<v Speaker 1>like Mario Kart being eighty dollars. I can't stress this
<v Speaker 1>enough that Mario CTT eight Deluxe is one of the
<v Speaker 1>best selling games of all time. It's sold like sixty
<v Speaker 1>million units. Like you couldn't really have launched with a
<v Speaker 1>bigger banger, Like, yeah, obviously a portion of that sixty
<v Speaker 1>million is interested on trying to play the next one
<v Speaker 1>at launch, you know. So yeah, three million of that
<v Speaker 1>sixty million were interested in playing the new Mario card.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it's just kind of obvious. So and it
<v Speaker 1>has a deal, so I feel like a lot of people.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah the deal also the deal was also smart by Nintendo,
<v Speaker 1>also a little scummy, but it's limited time, so like
<v Speaker 1>until full you can get Marioko for fifty bucks. Essentially
<v Speaker 1>in the bundle, So that's forcing well, making people feel
<v Speaker 1>like they may as well just get it now and
<v Speaker 1>save thirty dollars then waiting until like Christmas or something. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>and it makes sense too also, like you know, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know when the PlayStation five dropped, but I think
<v Speaker 1>dropping the switch to in summer with like summer break
<v Speaker 1>and just like summer sales and everything is a great
<v Speaker 1>time for video games and portable Yeah. Nintendo just has
<v Speaker 1>a lot going for them with this. And I think
<v Speaker 1>it's just cool to see this launch be so insane.
<v Speaker 1>And I made that video about everything I was right about,
<v Speaker 1>and if I could edit one thing in there, it
<v Speaker 1>would be me saying that the switch to launch was
<v Speaker 1>going to blow the Switch one launch out of the water.
<v Speaker 1>I said that so many times and people always like, well,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, because breadth of the wail.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah yeah, yeah, Well shows you guys.
<v Speaker 1>No, it as shows you guys, just shows me, shows me
<v Speaker 1>being a small, little little man.
<v Speaker 2>Oh by the way, uh.
<v Speaker 1>The camera, the Pirana plant camera was available online at
<v Speaker 1>Target today, so I bought it and that's going to
<v Speaker 1>get here on Saturday. I'm excited for my Pirana Plant camera.
<v Speaker 1>Just wanted you guys to know that I managed to
<v Speaker 1>get that.
<v Speaker 4>Is that Nintendo branded?
<v Speaker 1>Or is that that's the Hoary one okay? Which hory
<v Speaker 1>is like they work directly with Nintendo One accessories and
<v Speaker 1>it's it's about as official as you can get without
<v Speaker 1>it being the Nintendo.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, do they own them or is it just like
<v Speaker 4>a collapse?
<v Speaker 1>No? I don't know what the deal is with that.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, you know, I'm excited for the itoy games we're
<v Speaker 5>going to get with Mario Party.
<v Speaker 1>Let's hope. I feel like you're lying. I am, I am,
<v Speaker 1>I am. Are you going to play them with me?
<v Speaker 2>Though? Yeah?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I gotta get a camera.
<v Speaker 2>Though, Yeah you do?
<v Speaker 4>All right?
<v Speaker 1>What else do you want to talk about? Any of
<v Speaker 1>the misinformation?
<v Speaker 2>Bengal?
<v Speaker 1>I know you were complaining about that it's too much, okay.
<v Speaker 5>First off, that any little potential thing can brick this thing.
<v Speaker 1>An everything is gonna blow this thing up. This has
<v Speaker 1>so many fels.
<v Speaker 5>I am, this is literally a threat to my life
<v Speaker 5>every second that you have it, every second that I
<v Speaker 5>have it. But no, like, honestly, I've been reading about
<v Speaker 5>how this every little like voltage thing can break the system.
<v Speaker 5>Putting a MiG switch can break the system. Obviously it
<v Speaker 5>was debunked real quick with I.
<v Speaker 1>Think Nintendo is not gonna brick your system. No, they
<v Speaker 1>don't want you to not be able to buy games
<v Speaker 1>like trust me, they want the money. They're not gonna
<v Speaker 1>take it away from you. The only way it gets bricked,
<v Speaker 1>I believe is if you actually stop moudding the software.
<v Speaker 1>Even then, it's not even then they probably won't.
<v Speaker 5>What already is someone monded their switch and it didn't
<v Speaker 5>get brick.
<v Speaker 1>It's it's gonna be. Okay, it's gonna be. It's one
<v Speaker 1>of those things like when like online with YouTube, Nintendo's like,
<v Speaker 1>you can't show our footage. We own our footage, but
<v Speaker 1>everybody does it. And then Tendo's like, well it means
<v Speaker 1>fine because it'll help us get sales.
<v Speaker 5>But you know there was a time where they weren't
<v Speaker 5>fine with it. No, there was a time. It was
<v Speaker 5>a dark time.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>No, also there so there is kind of there is
<v Speaker 1>a battery issue right now that we can talk about
<v Speaker 1>to start with, not this one though, not this fake one. Sure. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I actually my brother joined my twitch chat the other
<v Speaker 1>day and he was like, did you know that the
<v Speaker 1>switch batteries are exploding, and I was like, where did
<v Speaker 1>you hear that? And I got it from I stemmed
<v Speaker 1>it to this. So there was a Reddit user switch
<v Speaker 1>to swallen battery, check the backs of your new switches, which,
<v Speaker 1>like I was trying to explain while I was live too.
<v Speaker 1>But this is this is how things happen. One guy
<v Speaker 1>has one thing happened, he shares it to Reddit, or
<v Speaker 1>he shares it to Twitter. It starts blowing up and
<v Speaker 1>getting likes, and then news articles see the tweet and
<v Speaker 1>they're like, oh, this is getting traction. We're going to
<v Speaker 1>write an article with buyers beware switch battery explodes, because.
<v Speaker 2>Of course people are going to click on that.
<v Speaker 1>But now everyone only sees the dexterto Twitter headline of
<v Speaker 1>exploding batteries. Nobody reads an article, and now all of
<v Speaker 1>a sudden, switch to batteries are exploding.
<v Speaker 4>Ye.
<v Speaker 1>No, this guy's battery does look like it's about to explode,
<v Speaker 1>but unfortunately that's the nature of these, like lithium batteries,
<v Speaker 1>they explode.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, it's summer.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe this guy went to the beach for five hours
<v Speaker 1>and they just left it in their heat, you know.
<v Speaker 1>But this, as far as I can tell is the
<v Speaker 1>only actual report. However, there is an actual issue with
<v Speaker 1>the battery that I updated people about today in my
<v Speaker 1>YouTube video that went live as this went live. So
<v Speaker 1>if you're watching this live, you probably haven't seen it
<v Speaker 1>or you're having to pick what to watch. Apparently switch
<v Speaker 1>To batteries are displaying the wrong percentage charge. Okay, So
<v Speaker 1>when I first got my switch to and I started
<v Speaker 1>playing Cyberpunk, I was playing it for forty minutes handheld,
<v Speaker 1>and it went from one hundred percent to it telling
<v Speaker 1>me it was on low battery in forty minutes.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, so I'm not going crazy like I was. I
<v Speaker 5>was playing like Tears of the Kingdom, and the whole
<v Speaker 5>thing went yeah, like one hundred percent right down to
<v Speaker 5>like forty percent.
<v Speaker 1>And real quick. Yeah, here's the thing. If you if
<v Speaker 1>you let it keep dying, it'll get to one percent
<v Speaker 1>and it'll let you play for like an hour on
<v Speaker 1>one percent. Yeah. Oh, so it's reading wrong. I might
<v Speaker 1>be overcharging it then at this point, No, well I
<v Speaker 1>think it maxes out at the right number. Okay, I think, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I think I don't know. Well, here's how you fix it.
<v Speaker 1>And I showed it in the video and if you're
<v Speaker 1>listening play along at home or you can watch my
<v Speaker 1>YouTube video, you make sure you have the most recent update.
<v Speaker 1>Then you turn it off. Then you hold the volume
<v Speaker 1>up and down button at the same time, and then
<v Speaker 1>you turn it back on. Keep holding the volume button
<v Speaker 1>and then it'll enter its system reboot menu. When it's
<v Speaker 1>done that you fixed it by default because going into
<v Speaker 1>that menu for some reason apparently resets the battery correctly.
<v Speaker 1>So then just turn your switch to back off, turn
<v Speaker 1>it on, and you should find it's displaying correctly now.
<v Speaker 1>And it did work for me because the first thing
<v Speaker 1>I tested was Cyberpunk at one hundred percent. I played
<v Speaker 1>for almost two hours and I ended at like thirty
<v Speaker 1>five percent, and I didn't get the low battery warning.
<v Speaker 1>I wonder if it's just like an OS reboot, it
<v Speaker 1>just reboots the whole it just recalibrates it. Apparently, going
<v Speaker 1>on Nintendo said if it doesn't work the first time,
<v Speaker 1>to keep doing it, and then if it just isn't
<v Speaker 1>fixing it, you might need to get it sent in.
<v Speaker 1>I heard there's also another fix to literally let your
<v Speaker 1>switch die, like let it die out. So I saw
<v Speaker 1>that one and I was telling Kim about this where
<v Speaker 1>you charge it for like three hours, you keep it charged,
<v Speaker 1>and then you let it die. Apparently that was a
<v Speaker 1>fix for the switch one battery. Oh so you can
<v Speaker 1>find that on Nintendo's page. And that confused me too
<v Speaker 1>because I was like, I ain't doing all that, but yeah,
<v Speaker 1>apparently that's what the switch one. That's what Bob told me. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, I'm not doing all that. I'll play,
<v Speaker 1>I'll play on one percent for an hour. Yeah, then
<v Speaker 1>do all of that for sure. So yeah, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if you showed this screen, but yeah, Jake randal
<v Speaker 1>Over on Twitter was tweeting about this lets you play
<v Speaker 1>on one percent. Uh, this says for twenty minutes, but
<v Speaker 1>I think my allege would vary depending on what you
<v Speaker 1>were playing. And Nintendo has it's an official Nintendo article
<v Speaker 1>that they put out and telling people to do the
<v Speaker 1>boot menu to fix it. So yeah, that's the first
<v Speaker 1>weird thing we've had with the switch to There's always
<v Speaker 1>something weird with console launchers.
<v Speaker 2>We were literally talking about that in the train. You
<v Speaker 2>were trying to show me. We kept checking the battery
<v Speaker 2>because you were telling me that you've had battery issues.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, I really maybe you should do the reset thing.
<v Speaker 2>You can do it. What's your battery at right now?
<v Speaker 4>I have it off?
<v Speaker 1>Why because I turned it off because I didn't want it.
<v Speaker 2>To fix it?
<v Speaker 1>Fix it right now?
<v Speaker 2>Turn it on?
<v Speaker 1>Fix it live? Because when I fixed mine, I jumped
<v Speaker 1>from like eighty five percent to ninety five percent. So
<v Speaker 1>what do I do? I just put it in reboote.
<v Speaker 1>Actually you could have just hold you could have just
<v Speaker 1>done it then. But let's see what your battery is
<v Speaker 1>at first. It's eighty five okay, good, all right, so
<v Speaker 1>turn it off. Wait, make sure it's up Is it
<v Speaker 1>up to date? Show the screen? I think so.
<v Speaker 2>I think it's friends at home.
<v Speaker 1>Well, as long as it's up to date, this will work,
<v Speaker 1>which it should be if you're playing online recently.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I was playing Now Your Court last night.
<v Speaker 2>We're not going to be on Wi Fi right now.
<v Speaker 2>We were playing Marrio Carte on the train, right.
<v Speaker 1>It would just we'll just do the fix. So you're
<v Speaker 1>on eighty five percent? Yeah, turn it off, powering down,
<v Speaker 1>Turn off right now?
<v Speaker 2>Power power powering down.
<v Speaker 1>King, let me know when it let me know when
<v Speaker 1>it's off, guys.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, So then what do I do now.
<v Speaker 1>I so hold the plus and minus and turn it
<v Speaker 1>on and turn it on, and keep holding the plus
<v Speaker 1>and minus and keep holding it, holding it, and keep
<v Speaker 1>holding it, and keep holding it, and keep watching this
<v Speaker 1>live and keep holding it. Guys are watching and continued. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>you fixed it. It's fixed.
<v Speaker 2>That's it. Turn it off.
<v Speaker 1>You have to hold the pie button. So he's in
<v Speaker 1>the boot man. You know he's turning it off off.
<v Speaker 1>He's turning it off, turning it off. We all taken notes.
<v Speaker 1>Turning it off. The suspension is killing. I'm holding it
<v Speaker 1>cutting it off. Do I just hold it down? Let
<v Speaker 1>me press it again. I don't think that's something happened.
<v Speaker 1>Then up, you put it to sleep. He broke it.
<v Speaker 1>It's broken.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, there we go. Okay, tell us your battery percentage
<v Speaker 2>when it comes.
<v Speaker 1>To mine jumped up, but Kim's didn't when I fixed hers,
<v Speaker 1>So we'll see.
<v Speaker 2>We'll see.
<v Speaker 1>We'll see if it jumps up on us.
<v Speaker 4>It went down.
<v Speaker 2>So what.
<v Speaker 1>Well, well now it's now this is the action. Yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>hopefully it's fixed now, Well it could have been.
<v Speaker 2>You won't know.
<v Speaker 5>Powering down your system and powering it up again kills battery.
<v Speaker 2>I know that.
<v Speaker 1>So when I when I went to fix Kims, she
<v Speaker 1>was at one hundred percent and I wanted to drain
<v Speaker 1>it a little to get a percentage, And I literally
<v Speaker 1>just played Mario Kart for five minutes and they got
<v Speaker 1>down to ninety three percent. It's like, all right, that's
<v Speaker 1>good enough, now I'll fix it. All right, Well, let's
<v Speaker 1>let's talk about some fun stuff that. I mean, there's
<v Speaker 1>more misinformation we can talk about. But Kim, you've been
<v Speaker 1>playing a little bit of what Mario Kart and Hello Kitty?
<v Speaker 1>So what are you What are you enjoying so far
<v Speaker 1>with the switch to what are your first impressions Mario Kart?
<v Speaker 4>I think it's really fun.
<v Speaker 1>You're liking it more than I thought you would.
<v Speaker 4>Well, yeah, because there's more to do in this one
<v Speaker 4>and you get to like practice on the tracks and
<v Speaker 4>stuff like that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're kind of a collectible queen.
<v Speaker 4>I do. I love getting all the stuff.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you were like you like when we play like
<v Speaker 1>Yoshi's and stuff like that.
<v Speaker 4>You have to find everything.
<v Speaker 1>So adding that into Mario Kart, it's kind of cool
<v Speaker 1>because it's kind of something that Nintendo is known for,
<v Speaker 1>is like these games were collectibles. Right, Mariokatt never had that,
<v Speaker 1>but now they do in the open world. It's not
<v Speaker 1>that exciting. And also it's really like the collectibles, I'm
<v Speaker 1>that exciting, and it's not it's not easy to find
<v Speaker 1>them or keep track of them, I should say, because
<v Speaker 1>no like list, but there's medallions you can find, there's
<v Speaker 1>puzzle squares on the ground or something. And then obviously
<v Speaker 1>all of the challenges that you can do.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, and then you get like the characters in the
<v Speaker 4>cars and stuff.
<v Speaker 1>And I also like the challenges are cool because I
<v Speaker 1>was watching you do one where you had to be fast,
<v Speaker 1>which you were struggling with. But I watched Kim go
<v Speaker 1>from not knowing how to drift or charge boost or
<v Speaker 1>do tricks to after half an hour of trying to
<v Speaker 1>do this challenge, she was tricking, drifting and and doing
<v Speaker 1>all this and getting way. But I was watching you, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I was watching you progressively get better at the game,
<v Speaker 1>even though you I don't think you ever actually beat
<v Speaker 1>the challenge because it was really it was it was
<v Speaker 1>a hard one. I was trying to tell you, like,
<v Speaker 1>for your first first time really playing Mario Kart and
<v Speaker 1>trying to do a challenge, I wouldn't have started with
<v Speaker 1>that one, but you did not want to start that.
<v Speaker 4>There were different levels of difficulty. I was just.
<v Speaker 1>Like, there's some that I can't do. There's there's there's
<v Speaker 1>because I told you how. There's like wool running and
<v Speaker 1>grinding and flow.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, there was one with coins I couldn't do because
<v Speaker 4>you had to.
<v Speaker 1>There's ones where like it'll want you to walk, grind
<v Speaker 1>and like hit certain checkpoints and I'm like, I can't.
<v Speaker 4>I can't figure how to get.
<v Speaker 5>On the way I got it. I gotta start doing that.
<v Speaker 5>That's like sounds a great practice.
<v Speaker 2>It is good.
<v Speaker 1>It is good practice. I'll say that the open world
<v Speaker 1>is I mean, it is a little lackluster, but the
<v Speaker 1>challengers are more robust than I was expecting because they're
<v Speaker 1>all around the world and it's not just like they're
<v Speaker 1>they're all very different. I did one where it was
<v Speaker 1>like race down the highway in checkpoints and it would
<v Speaker 1>like give me a truck. At one point it gave
<v Speaker 1>me a helicopter that I could go in and fly.
<v Speaker 1>Oh that's cool. There is actually some pretty cool challenges
<v Speaker 1>in there. I do have my gripes with the game.
<v Speaker 1>What everyone does. It's eighty dollars. Well, that's my first
<v Speaker 1>Why is it eighty? That's my question? You know that
<v Speaker 1>is that's me and the Batman outfit. But the other
<v Speaker 1>thing I get it really annoyed. So when you're playing
<v Speaker 1>online or Grand Prix, right, you race to the to
<v Speaker 1>the next course. Yeah, but you spend only one lap
<v Speaker 1>on that course? Might going crazy like you only like
<v Speaker 1>yeah sometimes yeah, because you spend half the race getting there. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>if then you do one.
<v Speaker 5>Lap because sometimes getting there is really boring. It's just
<v Speaker 5>a straight line. I'm on a highway man.
<v Speaker 1>Now, when you do Grand Prix, yeah, do you do
<v Speaker 1>all three laps or is it just online you only
<v Speaker 1>do one? Because I think maybe online that's like a
<v Speaker 1>short attention span thing.
<v Speaker 4>I think no.
<v Speaker 5>Because we were playing right uh on the train, Yeah,
<v Speaker 5>and we only did like one lap on a particular level. Yeah,
<v Speaker 5>it was only only certain levels you get the full experience.
<v Speaker 1>And Grand Prix it was only one lap each. The
<v Speaker 1>other one feels like you're just passing through. The thing
<v Speaker 1>that bothers me. The one thing that bothers me is
<v Speaker 1>I feel like they didn't innovate with the items much
<v Speaker 1>at all, and like, yeah.
<v Speaker 2>There's no need.
<v Speaker 1>The actual core racing gameplay feels very samey other than
<v Speaker 1>the grinding and the wool running, which like it, but
<v Speaker 1>who does that it adds, So that whole part does
<v Speaker 1>add like a skill ceiling though it is a big
<v Speaker 1>skill now.
<v Speaker 5>Like sometimes when I'm playing online with randoms, it's someone
<v Speaker 5>is like so far ahead and there's no way of
<v Speaker 5>me catching up because they're just insane.
<v Speaker 1>Yea all the skips, yeah, I mean for me, it's
<v Speaker 1>mostly just the items. I feel like they didn't really
<v Speaker 1>introduce anything really new.
<v Speaker 4>I didn't notice anything. You're the only thing did they
<v Speaker 4>used to do the thing where they would like turn
<v Speaker 4>you into a different character.
<v Speaker 2>No, so that is new.
<v Speaker 1>I like that and it's it's fun, but it doesn't
<v Speaker 1>change the gameplay. You just play as someone else.
<v Speaker 4>For a little bit. The only new thing that.
<v Speaker 1>I so there's that there's the giant Mushroom, which which
<v Speaker 1>apparently it's old but it's come back.
<v Speaker 4>I've seen the mushroom before and it's fine.
<v Speaker 1>I like the mushroom, but it is essentially just like
<v Speaker 1>getting a star power up or the bullet bill stronger
<v Speaker 1>knocking people, or a bullet bill that you can control. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>and then you have the ice flower. But to me,
<v Speaker 1>that's just like a flower flower. It's the same thing
<v Speaker 1>as a flower. You know what item they should have added?
<v Speaker 1>You going in that truck in free roam? That's did
<v Speaker 1>you hear me saying that on stream?
<v Speaker 2>Yes?
<v Speaker 1>So that was my thing is like that truck. Have
<v Speaker 1>you been in a truck yet?
<v Speaker 4>No?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, So in the open world there's like semi trucks
<v Speaker 1>and you can drive up into the back of one
<v Speaker 1>and you can become the truck. Yeah, why is that
<v Speaker 1>not in the races at alts? It's so cool.
<v Speaker 4>They're in the races and they have ramps.
<v Speaker 1>Why couldn't you just why can't you be the truck?
<v Speaker 1>That's such a cool power up? And also I was
<v Speaker 1>thinking if for whatever reason they didn't want to put
<v Speaker 1>it into like the actual Grand Prix races, you race
<v Speaker 1>down like the highway to get to the next course,
<v Speaker 1>So why isn't there like a truck that you can
<v Speaker 1>And think about this too.
<v Speaker 2>Every time you get.
<v Speaker 1>An item in Mario Kart, you have to roll over
<v Speaker 1>like the little item box. This would add a unique
<v Speaker 1>item where there's a moving truck NPC truck and all
<v Speaker 1>the players have to try and race for it to
<v Speaker 1>compete for it, because the first one there gets the
<v Speaker 1>item gets to be the truck. And then you could
<v Speaker 1>have like, you know, like when we go to the
<v Speaker 1>arcade Kim and we played the pac Man Battle Pong game.
<v Speaker 1>You're like hitting like one pong back and forth, and
<v Speaker 1>then like all of a sudden, it drops like a
<v Speaker 1>hundred of them. What if sometimes there was like a
<v Speaker 1>convoy of trucks and out of nowhere there's like twenty
<v Speaker 1>trucks and everyone's racing for their own truck, and now
<v Speaker 1>you have all these trucks racing down the highway.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I just feel like that the game
<v Speaker 1>could use something new and unique like that.
<v Speaker 4>I think with the introduction of like the other vehicles,
<v Speaker 4>they could have done something where you could use them
<v Speaker 4>in the races.
<v Speaker 1>Even like there's a helicopter in the game that you
<v Speaker 1>can take over. Oh really, Yeah, there's even a UFO
<v Speaker 1>and it's a UFO Apparently, why are those Why aren't
<v Speaker 1>those introduced.
<v Speaker 2>Into the racing? According to Chat, there are. It's a
<v Speaker 2>super rare spawn, but the truck does spawn.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like, well, that's really cool, but I've never
<v Speaker 1>seen it and I've played for a long time.
<v Speaker 2>How rare are we talking here? Several people have said
<v Speaker 2>it so.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I need it fact checked and also if it's true,
<v Speaker 1>I need the rate up.
<v Speaker 5>I feel like this is like when when Chat would
<v Speaker 5>tell you, oh, the sticker star is a real thing
<v Speaker 5>in Mario Party and it's just.
<v Speaker 1>Oh that you can get me in the first red
<v Speaker 1>and blue if you like move around a truck. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>well that was also truck related. Oh my god, what
<v Speaker 1>what were you gonna say, Kim?
<v Speaker 4>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, you're gonna say something sorry about that? Well I
<v Speaker 1>do on its face value. I really like Mario catt
<v Speaker 1>It's fun.
<v Speaker 4>I like how many characters they've added.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I like how goofy the characters.
<v Speaker 4>Some of them are ridiculous. Some of them don't even
<v Speaker 4>have arms. How's that gonna work?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Kim was laughing about that.
<v Speaker 2>I unlocked a Dolphin for you today on the train,
<v Speaker 2>and I was laughing at the fact that like floats above.
<v Speaker 1>But a Dolphin bike. It's like that character as a bike.
<v Speaker 1>You do the Dolphin on the Dolphin bike. I think
<v Speaker 1>that's how you unlock the Dolphin. Because I was playing
<v Speaker 1>with the Dolphin bike and then I got Dolphin.
<v Speaker 4>It might be I didn't. I couldn't get the Dolphin
<v Speaker 4>for the life of me.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's a cool character. So here's another thing about
<v Speaker 1>Mario catt that people are complaining about. This person said
<v Speaker 1>over on Twitter one hundred and fifty CC on Mario
<v Speaker 1>cut World a few times last week, and it was
<v Speaker 1>kind of hard to beat the CPU to the point
<v Speaker 1>where I rage quit the game and started playing Cyberpunk.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't gone back to Mario Kart Steal. So apparently
<v Speaker 1>there's this dynamic difficulty system. Bob pointed out one thing
<v Speaker 1>in here to me specifically. I can't remember what it
<v Speaker 1>was the news that he thought was crazy, but just
<v Speaker 1>essentially how the how it's like a dynamic difficulty I
<v Speaker 1>guess so it depends how good you are, Like the
<v Speaker 1>game gets harder or something the more you win. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not sure. I mean, we could try reading the article,
<v Speaker 1>but who likes reading.
<v Speaker 5>CPU the CPU this time around? I mean people can
<v Speaker 5>complain about it. I actually like that they're kind of
<v Speaker 5>a challenge.
<v Speaker 1>So a few users found out the game has a
<v Speaker 1>dynamic difficulty system. It seems the game adjusts the difficulty
<v Speaker 1>of the CPU depending on how often the human player drifts.
<v Speaker 1>The more you drift, the faster the CPU players become,
<v Speaker 1>and the better items they get.
<v Speaker 4>Oh well that would explain why they keep gett those
<v Speaker 4>stupid blue shells because I've been practicing.
<v Speaker 1>Been practicing, your drift annoying, So that's dumb. I think
<v Speaker 1>maybe maybe is it dumb is that they're just gauging
<v Speaker 1>how good I don't know it could be.
<v Speaker 5>But like the way I get first place now with
<v Speaker 5>the CPUs at least is I don't take first until
<v Speaker 5>last minute.
<v Speaker 1>Well that's what this is from Lonely Goomba over here
<v Speaker 1>on Twitter front. Running is so bad in this game
<v Speaker 1>that I'm literally breaking so I don't overtake. I won
<v Speaker 1>the race by doing this. I'm thinking it's generally a
<v Speaker 1>strap to not be first under any circumstances beyond the
<v Speaker 1>final stretch.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, wasn't that a strategy? And eight I thought that
<v Speaker 2>was a strategy.
<v Speaker 1>And because it's a strategy, and a lot of racing
<v Speaker 1>games like Crash Team Racing too, because something that these
<v Speaker 1>games employ so that you don't get too far ahead
<v Speaker 1>is rubber banding. So when you get too far ahead
<v Speaker 1>of NPCs, it'll rub a band, snap them back, and
<v Speaker 1>it will essentially speed them up and make them faster
<v Speaker 1>so that you're not you know, racing on your own
<v Speaker 1>on the hardest difficulty, because, like think about it, no
<v Speaker 1>matter how good you get at this game, no matter
<v Speaker 1>how fast you go or how many like skips you do,
<v Speaker 1>there's always at least one MPC on your heels. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's it's almost impossible to get too far
<v Speaker 1>away from them.
<v Speaker 2>That's like in real life in NASCAR, what's that thing
<v Speaker 2>called where it's like that there's like a wind tunnel
<v Speaker 2>when when you're right behind somebody who's a little faster
<v Speaker 2>than you and you.
<v Speaker 1>Can use you can do that in Mario cut. Did
<v Speaker 1>you know that, No, you could do that in real life. Well,
<v Speaker 1>if you sit behind a cart, you get a speed boost.
<v Speaker 1>Sitting in the wind tunnel? Is that what it's called.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what it's called.
<v Speaker 2>Get you get less air resistance, So that makes sense.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, do we have any thoughts on that? On the
<v Speaker 1>difficulty being artificially depending on how good you are?
<v Speaker 4>Oh so much. I would just like more of a
<v Speaker 4>variety of items because I'm telling you every five minutes,
<v Speaker 4>I'm getting hit with a blue shell.
<v Speaker 1>It is so annoying, it's weird. I was playing that
<v Speaker 1>game for two straight days on Twitch and realized I'd
<v Speaker 1>never got the lightning ability.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I've never gotten it. I always get the same item.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what the what the rate is on
<v Speaker 1>the lightning, but I can't get it.
<v Speaker 4>I get hit once a race with it, but I
<v Speaker 4>never get it myself.
<v Speaker 1>You're doing too good.
<v Speaker 2>Bengal was saying that depending on the amount of coins
<v Speaker 2>you have, you get a certain item. So maybe you
<v Speaker 2>guys are like either have too many coins or too little. True,
<v Speaker 2>I don't.
<v Speaker 5>This is what I've been here. That sounds like conject
<v Speaker 5>on scootish a stream, you know. And then someone who
<v Speaker 5>was training Scoot to get better because he was he
<v Speaker 5>had a mentor Okay, he needs it, he really needs it,
<v Speaker 5>and he was saying like, oh, if you have twenty
<v Speaker 5>coins in first place, you have a better chance of
<v Speaker 5>getting like the boom box and actual items instead of
<v Speaker 5>a coin.
<v Speaker 4>Oh, I get the boom box all the time.
<v Speaker 2>You're so good.
<v Speaker 4>I did notice that one thing. I don't know if
<v Speaker 4>you noticed this. Have you gotten it before?
<v Speaker 2>What the little boombox thing.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, if somebody's throwing a blue shell at you and
<v Speaker 4>you hit it at the right time, it knocks the
<v Speaker 4>shellf I told.
<v Speaker 1>You at Okay, I was the one that told you.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't know that that boom box can get rid of.
<v Speaker 5>Every You can also spe away from the blue shell
<v Speaker 5>at the right time.
<v Speaker 1>Actually, actually, if you're playing in single player, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if you know this game, if you press down
<v Speaker 1>on the dpad, you actually go back in time. You
<v Speaker 1>can reverse. So if you if you make a mistake
<v Speaker 1>and you want to like go back, but the rest
<v Speaker 1>of the game doesn't go back. The rest of the
<v Speaker 1>game keeps going. So if you press the rewind right
<v Speaker 1>as the blue sheell was about to hit you, you
<v Speaker 1>can go back and then you can keep going. That's cool, Yeah, fun,
<v Speaker 1>it's funny. You can't do it online, thankfully.
<v Speaker 4>That would be people would get so.
<v Speaker 1>That would be crazy.
<v Speaker 2>Now, there's an argument in chat whether that the little
<v Speaker 2>wind tunnel I was talking about is called drafting or
<v Speaker 2>slip streaming slipstream.
<v Speaker 1>It's slipstream. Slipstream sounds cool, Drafting sounds lame.
<v Speaker 4>You know what, I like?
<v Speaker 1>Slipstream bingle I bet you do. Bingle was talking about
<v Speaker 1>a difficulty ceiling. I found this clip on Instagram today
<v Speaker 1>of somebody. You're gonna be able to hear it because
<v Speaker 1>I didn't figure out sound. But they're doing a tutorial
<v Speaker 1>and they're doing like, no, just slip over here and
<v Speaker 1>come up in this wall, like it's so easy to do.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, this is this is the difficulty ceiling that
<v Speaker 1>we're working with now with players. Yeah, playing Mario Catt
<v Speaker 1>and skipping half of the course with these crazy moves,
<v Speaker 1>that's gonna be nuts. It is out of control. It
<v Speaker 1>looks fun as hell though. It does look fun.
<v Speaker 2>It looks really funny.
<v Speaker 5>I'm like, I'm looking at this and not thinking like,
<v Speaker 5>oh I need this to get I want to do
<v Speaker 5>this just to be grinding and stuff.
<v Speaker 1>There's been a couple of times I've just done it
<v Speaker 1>accidentally for a little bit and I'm like, that was awesome.
<v Speaker 1>I feah, it's very tony hawky.
<v Speaker 4>I like it.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Okay, that's probably enough Mario Catt. Oh you
<v Speaker 1>can cut away, so I can cut away?
<v Speaker 4>All right?
<v Speaker 1>Cool?
<v Speaker 4>All right?
<v Speaker 1>Do we want to what does chat want to talk about?
<v Speaker 1>They have any questions? Because I put up a video
<v Speaker 1>today with my my first week impressions and everything. So
<v Speaker 1>IF's anything in that video I missed, they just have
<v Speaker 1>questions about people that maybe don't have a switch to
<v Speaker 1>when they're looking to pick it up. In the meantime,
<v Speaker 1>we didn't get to laugh about this. I say, laugh,
<v Speaker 1>it's very upsetting me. See this is old news at
<v Speaker 1>this point. But did you guys hear that game Stop
<v Speaker 1>was stapling the top of the boxes for the switches?
<v Speaker 1>Did you hear about this? Kim?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>No, Uh so game Stop was getting the receipt, the
<v Speaker 1>pre order receipt and they were just on the top
<v Speaker 1>of the box. Now that sucks, right, But you know
<v Speaker 1>what's even worse than that, Kim. The switch screen is
<v Speaker 1>right there, so they were stapling into the switch screen.
<v Speaker 1>How crazy is that? The incredible? How I'm sorry, how
<v Speaker 1>brain dead do you have to be to be working
<v Speaker 1>at GameStop and not know that people aren't gonna want
<v Speaker 1>to you to staple into their new box that they're
<v Speaker 1>spending five hundred dollars on.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, no.
<v Speaker 4>Stickers. I know that's what I was going to say,
<v Speaker 4>mebo boxes and I was like, that's going to ruin.
<v Speaker 1>I've had so many Amoebo tops ruined by pulling off
<v Speaker 1>a stick at the game stop sticker.
<v Speaker 4>This is next level ambo imagine, you know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, And the whole point of amibo is like collecting
<v Speaker 1>and the value keeping. Who wants to like buy a
<v Speaker 1>present for their kid or something of a switch to
<v Speaker 1>and give it to them with a stapled front?
<v Speaker 4>What was wrong with just taking part of the backing
<v Speaker 4>off the sticker.
<v Speaker 1>And just you know, yeah, or like just not stable.
<v Speaker 5>Have you seen the memes coming out from this People
<v Speaker 5>are just using a hammer to put a receipt on or.
<v Speaker 2>Like a hydraulic press. No, I wish I had some
<v Speaker 2>of those. Can I say that we did talk about this.
<v Speaker 2>We did when we saw the box opening, you know,
<v Speaker 2>early we we did say, like, is that going to
<v Speaker 2>be safe with the screen right there?
<v Speaker 1>Dude, I this is this is my actual box, and
<v Speaker 1>it got dented. I don't know how before I opened
<v Speaker 1>it it got dented.
<v Speaker 4>I mean that just happens those boxes.
<v Speaker 1>Literally, the screen is right there when you take it out,
<v Speaker 1>it's right at the top of the box.
<v Speaker 4>Kind of a design flaw in the box.
<v Speaker 1>We were we did mention that that that we were
<v Speaker 1>like a little nervous. That screen is Yeah, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why they made it so like compact like that
<v Speaker 1>with barely any patting.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, that is weird because the other one, the box,
<v Speaker 4>is way thicker.
<v Speaker 2>I sent it in Chat.
<v Speaker 1>Oh okay, let's pull it up. Did Chat have any questions?
<v Speaker 6>Uh?
<v Speaker 2>Do we have one person that says, here's your receipt.
<v Speaker 2>Have you found any voice memories and Breath of the
<v Speaker 2>Wild or Tears of the Kingdom from.
<v Speaker 1>No, I've barely played it and I haven't linked. Have
<v Speaker 1>you you linked the app? Have you found any of
<v Speaker 1>those voice memos yet?
<v Speaker 2>There's voice memos?
<v Speaker 5>That's a numb Sorry, I was just I was just
<v Speaker 5>using it to like give myself better items from my
<v Speaker 5>other game Bingo.
<v Speaker 1>This is AI, is it?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>I can tell. Yeah, it's such a Look at the
<v Speaker 1>switch logo, look at the games, look at the game
<v Speaker 1>stop logo, and then just look at the person I
<v Speaker 1>got fooled by. Look at the hair on this guy.
<v Speaker 1>Look at that hairline. What's that little like Hitler mustache
<v Speaker 1>looking hairline?
<v Speaker 2>Up to my god, you're a boomer. You fell for
<v Speaker 2>the aim.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna play this to see what it is.
<v Speaker 4>Because the guy looks normal.
<v Speaker 1>I'm zero point zero zero seconds in on it, and
<v Speaker 1>I knew it was a got confused. Let's play it.
<v Speaker 1>Let's see.
<v Speaker 2>Let's see this non a.
<v Speaker 1>My god, it is so a ied out of its mind.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, now I'm looking at it.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, oh no, it's funny.
<v Speaker 1>Look at the way the receipt like melts and melts
<v Speaker 1>into the ball.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, no, I fell for it.
<v Speaker 1>You know what that Actually, when your mom was here
<v Speaker 1>the other day, I was scrolling through Instagram and I
<v Speaker 1>saw one of the AI reporter videos. And I've seen
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people online saying like, hey, show these
<v Speaker 1>to your parents so they know. And I showed it
<v Speaker 1>to your mom. I was like, do you notice anything
<v Speaker 1>weird about this? And she was like no, And I
<v Speaker 1>was like, that's all AI. She was like really, And
<v Speaker 1>then like in the next scene, like a shock comes
<v Speaker 1>out of the water, and I'm like, yeah, see it's AI.
<v Speaker 4>Would have loved it, like Grandma.
<v Speaker 1>Your grandma would have totally fallen through.
<v Speaker 4>Her the National Inquirer. Can you imagine her with a
<v Speaker 4>video of a person I used to send.
<v Speaker 5>I used to my grandma clips of video games and say,
<v Speaker 5>look what just happened?
<v Speaker 1>And she's like, there's a there's a clip of someone
<v Speaker 1>a little pink eating it showing their grandma a car
<v Speaker 1>chase in grand theft auto and their grandma is like,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god. She's like, oh this is so the
<v Speaker 1>world's going crazy. We've told the story before. But your
<v Speaker 1>grandma would have absolutely fallen for that, because she fell
<v Speaker 1>for the thing where someone rang the house and was like, hey,
<v Speaker 1>it's your grandson.
<v Speaker 5>Oh.
<v Speaker 4>I thought you're gonna talk about the Nigerian prince story.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, that's that.
<v Speaker 1>But she was like, hey, it's your grandson. I'm in
<v Speaker 1>prison and I need to be bailed out. I need money.
<v Speaker 1>And she goes, is this wood and the guy goes, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's me.
<v Speaker 2>Would oh my god, dude.
<v Speaker 1>And then she was telling your mom like he said
<v Speaker 1>it was.
<v Speaker 4>Him, Oh so bad. Yeah, yeah, she was a gullible lady.
<v Speaker 1>M You can't seem to go anywhere online and see
<v Speaker 1>anybody talking positively about Nintendo without seeing negativity in the comments.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, that's just the Internet. I have an example
<v Speaker 1>of it that I'm going to find because I did
<v Speaker 1>not copy it. I copied the same link into our
<v Speaker 1>Google sheets for everything. Apparently everything's linking to the three
<v Speaker 1>point five million because I'm just so excited about it. Sting. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>here's what I wanted to show. So this was on Instagram.
<v Speaker 1>I saw this while I was scrolling game. Is blown
<v Speaker 1>away at how fast Super Smash Brothers loads on Nintendo Switch.
<v Speaker 1>So you can see here that they pick their fighters,
<v Speaker 1>says versus, and then they in a game. Yeah. Kind
<v Speaker 1>of cool. Right, It's just a little article talking about it.
<v Speaker 1>Every single comment Nintendo fans after buying a four hundred
<v Speaker 1>of console just a load a seven year old game
<v Speaker 1>and six six seconds faster than usual. Never been less
<v Speaker 1>excited about a console launch. Wow, it runs old games
<v Speaker 1>so fast? Did Nintendo write this post? I mean, it's
<v Speaker 1>not like the load times were bothersome in the first place.
<v Speaker 1>Just a gift of a bunch of ants staring standards
<v Speaker 1>at this low. It's almost as if it's a stronger
<v Speaker 1>console than Switch one people bought Switch to to play
<v Speaker 1>a nine year old game. This is across the board
<v Speaker 1>on anything I see. If anyone's nice, if anyone says, oh,
<v Speaker 1>they show anything cool about the Switch to, all of
<v Speaker 1>the comments are like this. It's insufferable, but it's it's everything.
<v Speaker 4>Now though, if you look at the comments of anything,
<v Speaker 4>if someone's being positive in the video.
<v Speaker 1>All the comments it's always negative.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>It's like every fan based like Star Wars, Marvel, like
<v Speaker 2>they're always complaining, and it's.
<v Speaker 4>Just like patbid you enjoy anything? Exact, I find something
<v Speaker 4>nice to say about anything.
<v Speaker 2>I know I was.
<v Speaker 1>I was saying this on my stream, but it's like
<v Speaker 1>I hate the Internet and I miss days before it.
<v Speaker 1>Like when I was a kid and I went to
<v Speaker 1>go buy an N sixty four or a GameCube, I
<v Speaker 1>didn't have the Internet telling me about the DRM terms
<v Speaker 1>of service that I that I that I should look
<v Speaker 1>out for because my console might get bricked or exploding
<v Speaker 1>batteries or like all of these issues and all this negativity.
<v Speaker 1>I just went and bought a console and I liked
<v Speaker 1>Smash Brothers.
<v Speaker 5>I missed the days of like the game of Like
<v Speaker 5>what is it when you when you're just telling someone
<v Speaker 5>something and it just gets passed around?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, telephone, just normal human communication.
<v Speaker 5>Like like people like like some crazy rumor would just
<v Speaker 5>sprout out because of it.
<v Speaker 1>Look, I grew up with the Internet and like, like
<v Speaker 1>you know, it became relevant when we were want in
<v Speaker 1>our early teens. Yeah, so, like you know, and I
<v Speaker 1>liked the Internet. I thought there's a little positives about
<v Speaker 1>the Internet. I think the Internet was intended to be
<v Speaker 1>a really good place, but I think we've had it
<v Speaker 1>too long and it's not fun anymore, and everything just
<v Speaker 1>gets ruined online. And I honestly feel like if you
<v Speaker 1>just didn't have the Internet and you didn't look at
<v Speaker 1>any of that, and you were just like excited for Nintendo,
<v Speaker 1>you would have no issues with this launch.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah. I stay away from like all the comment sections
<v Speaker 4>of stuff, and I'm doing pretty good. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Think, I mean you probably would have been like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>why is that eighty?
<v Speaker 3>Now?
<v Speaker 1>I guess I'm getting that in a bundle and that's
<v Speaker 1>the last time you would have ever thought about it.
<v Speaker 4>Yep.
<v Speaker 1>But now you're so mad about it that you're screaming
<v Speaker 1>online about it and commenting about it and every thread
<v Speaker 1>and forum like, I don't know, I don't know, just
<v Speaker 1>the internet sucks. We can't have anything nice, no Now.
<v Speaker 2>I also maybe this says a lot about it how
<v Speaker 2>I was raised, But I don't know, do you guys?
<v Speaker 2>Don't you guys remember like in school, like your teachers
<v Speaker 2>always being like, you're such a complainer. You're such a whiner.
<v Speaker 2>Stop complaining. It's like I feel like kids, maybe people,
<v Speaker 2>other people didn't get that, but I just feel like
<v Speaker 2>you can get Complaining is normal now, it's the normal
<v Speaker 2>thing to do.
<v Speaker 1>Did your teachers tell you that a lot? Yeah, they
<v Speaker 1>did a lot. That might be that might be an
<v Speaker 1>inner reflection, Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe it is. But I just thought complaining was bad,
<v Speaker 2>is what I'm trying to say to.
<v Speaker 5>Somebody in my class used to tattle tale a lot
<v Speaker 5>and my tea teacher literally pinned a tail on them.
<v Speaker 1>That's just good old fashioned school. And yah, you know
<v Speaker 1>back in the day when you could be a teacher,
<v Speaker 1>you know what I.
<v Speaker 5>Mean, put a tail right on them. They had to
<v Speaker 5>walk around all day like that.
<v Speaker 1>It was really back when you could shame a student.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, shame is extinct. Now you're not allowed to shame
<v Speaker 4>anything anymore.
<v Speaker 1>You can't you can't slap them with a roller. Well
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. Wow, Okay, yeah either. Actually I think
<v Speaker 1>I think that was bad.
<v Speaker 4>I think shame maybe sometimes.
<v Speaker 1>Glad that ring the bell. I'm glad that wasn't the
<v Speaker 1>thing in my time, because I would have got slapped
<v Speaker 1>every day. I was such a menace.
<v Speaker 5>I got I got, I got it like a burn
<v Speaker 5>on my arm, like the nun one time did this
<v Speaker 5>to my arm.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, well that's the nuts. They go crazy.
<v Speaker 4>I think you should have reported that I did.
<v Speaker 5>My mom My mom almost beat the No. No, it
<v Speaker 5>was really funny.
<v Speaker 2>Oh that's what. I don't know what's happening over there.
<v Speaker 4>We can get to by that that. I'm going to
<v Speaker 4>need a minute for that.
<v Speaker 1>You take a minute because I forgot to thank people.
<v Speaker 1>We passed one hundred thousands.
<v Speaker 2>I was waiting to bring it up. Thank you so much.
<v Speaker 1>You guys really pushed us over the edge that last episode.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, we got like two thousand or something. What
<v Speaker 1>do you what are you waiting?
<v Speaker 2>I wanted to do this, but it's too late. There's
<v Speaker 2>like a delay on this.
<v Speaker 1>This feels like something that I should you should lead
<v Speaker 1>into I should we passed? We and then you would
<v Speaker 1>I'd be like, oh, I have an announcement to make,
<v Speaker 1>and then you.
<v Speaker 2>We're doing We're doing sound effects, guys, this is part
<v Speaker 2>of the new show.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, if you guys can think of any like good
<v Speaker 1>soundbites from the show and things people have said, definitely,
<v Speaker 1>if it's out of context, all the better.
<v Speaker 2>Tag me in the discord if you if you have one,
<v Speaker 2>and maybe I'll add it to the show.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I'm going to bring up our stream real quick.
<v Speaker 1>I so I asked for questions. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>we got any.
<v Speaker 2>No, we didn't get I would, I promise you I
<v Speaker 2>would have read them. Somebody did bring up your somebody
<v Speaker 2>did bring up your H three.
<v Speaker 1>Shout out. Somebody did bring it up earlier.
<v Speaker 6>Here.
<v Speaker 2>Let me say if I can find it, I me
<v Speaker 2>know if you can find it.
<v Speaker 1>I can't.
<v Speaker 2>I did find it. No, not that somebody brought it up.
<v Speaker 2>I'm trying to look for that.
<v Speaker 1>Well, we can't really watch it because we have no
<v Speaker 1>no audio passed through unfortunately.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I was watching H three, not this, not today's episode,
<v Speaker 1>but last episode, and Ethan was talking about Mario Kart
<v Speaker 1>and that he and his kids were enjoying Mario catt World,
<v Speaker 1>and he was kind of like giving a little mini
<v Speaker 1>review and he was like, yeah, it's really cool. They
<v Speaker 1>made it so you can't fall off the edge now.
<v Speaker 1>And immediately I was like, I know what's happening here,
<v Speaker 1>because when you load up that game, it doesn't tell you,
<v Speaker 1>but they're smart steering on by default kind of like
<v Speaker 1>it's fine, but it is kind of like Baby's mode
<v Speaker 1>because it will keep you away from the edges and
<v Speaker 1>it will make it impossible to fall off the edge.
<v Speaker 1>But if you turn off smart steering in the settings,
<v Speaker 1>you'll fall off the edge. So I commented that he
<v Speaker 1>had smart staring on making it so he couldn't fall
<v Speaker 1>off the edge, and ab on the podcast, who is
<v Speaker 1>a friend of the show and a friend of me
<v Speaker 1>and we've streamed together before, read my comment out and
<v Speaker 1>Ethan was not happy. He kind of he got pretty
<v Speaker 1>upset at the accusation that maybe he was playing with
<v Speaker 1>baby mode on. He was like, no, I just don't
<v Speaker 1>go near the edges. But you said you can't fall
<v Speaker 1>off the edge, which makes me, which makes me think
<v Speaker 1>you may be gone near an edge at some point
<v Speaker 1>to test it. But it's fine. It's a fine way
<v Speaker 1>to play the game. It's a fun but plays it
<v Speaker 1>that way. Yeah, he plays.
<v Speaker 4>It on auto.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I don't know why.
<v Speaker 4>It is really annoying when you fall off the edge.
<v Speaker 1>You can't you can't get the rainbow drift. Yeah, and
<v Speaker 1>you also it makes it kind of impossible to grind
<v Speaker 1>on wolves or like rails off to the side because
<v Speaker 1>it'll pull you back. Yeah, why I can't Okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>yeah yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I played with it on when we were playing because
<v Speaker 2>I didn't know the courses and the free roaming. It
<v Speaker 2>gets really confusing because it's like, I don't know where
<v Speaker 2>the track is. Do you want to play the It
<v Speaker 2>made me turn Do we have that clip? I do,
<v Speaker 2>but I don't have audio. Oh okay, okay, this clip's
<v Speaker 2>great too. I mean I can play it smart steering
<v Speaker 2>on just to learn the courses. Once I learned the courses,
<v Speaker 2>I'll probably.
<v Speaker 1>Turn it off.
<v Speaker 4>I might, but I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Uh like this clip, Yeah, lean your mic into it,
<v Speaker 1>all right, I'll give it a shot. This clip is
<v Speaker 1>very funny. Who is this dspsp DS. I've been seeing
<v Speaker 1>so many clips of him playing Maria Ka. He kind
<v Speaker 1>of sucks at it, hunh.
<v Speaker 2>He sucks at the game.
<v Speaker 4>He plays every single game.
<v Speaker 1>Every clips I've seen him playing of this game, he'll
<v Speaker 1>blame the game for what's going on. Every time he'll
<v Speaker 1>be like, why didn't do that when he did it.
<v Speaker 5>If you're ever having bad games and you're doing bad
<v Speaker 5>in games, just watch this guy, and you'll feel better.
<v Speaker 1>Can you see this, kim oh no as a scream protector,
<v Speaker 1>now as a screen protector. All right, hold on driving this?
<v Speaker 7>What's going on?
<v Speaker 6>What the fuck?
<v Speaker 2>What the fuck? What just happened?
<v Speaker 6>The game put me in the wrong direction.
<v Speaker 7>The game put me in the wrong direction?
<v Speaker 4>Where is he going on?
<v Speaker 6>Thanks?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, thanks Nintendo? Thanks a lot.
<v Speaker 7>I think there's a problem with that. Why did the
<v Speaker 7>game put me in the wrong direction? And I stole
<v Speaker 7>my item?
<v Speaker 1>That's good?
<v Speaker 4>I mean with the bike gets pushed over?
<v Speaker 2>Uh what meme?
<v Speaker 4>He falls? Always like, I can't believe you did that himself.
<v Speaker 1>I just it is. It's honestly something I would do that.
<v Speaker 1>I would go, I would drive the wrong way and
<v Speaker 1>be like, why did the game do that? It's very funny.
<v Speaker 1>There are so many clips of him doing this. You
<v Speaker 1>you sent me a funny TikTok. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>you want to talk about it.
<v Speaker 4>Oh yeah, yeah, with the with the snowman because he
<v Speaker 4>didn't have any arms.
<v Speaker 1>Can I, uh, how would I find that TikTok?
<v Speaker 5>If I, then.
<v Speaker 1>Why are you doing that?
<v Speaker 4>Pulling that?
<v Speaker 2>If you did, we have some some questions.
<v Speaker 1>They're not they're not any like, okay, hold on, let
<v Speaker 1>me play this first. No problem. So for reference, here
<v Speaker 1>Kim was playing as the snowman in the game and
<v Speaker 1>the snowman has no arms, so she she messaged me.
<v Speaker 1>She was like, how's the snowman driving the car? And
<v Speaker 1>then she sent me this TikTok and don't forget to
<v Speaker 1>give it to.
<v Speaker 2>A crap dat.
<v Speaker 6>We got over the damn how's he pulling out.
<v Speaker 2>The list?
<v Speaker 6>I rarely get left speechless.
<v Speaker 2>I was left speechless by Batgun.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like someone needs to edit that. Someone needs
<v Speaker 1>to edit that with the snow how's he driving that?
<v Speaker 1>How's he driving that?
<v Speaker 4>I just I remember that video. I didn't notice the
<v Speaker 4>pizza review.
<v Speaker 2>Go I want pizza now?
<v Speaker 1>Oh, I could go for a slice.
<v Speaker 4>We have so many pizza places.
<v Speaker 1>There's a newish pizza place down the road. They've been
<v Speaker 1>open for like a year now. Actually it's good, but
<v Speaker 1>they have this neon sign out the front of this
<v Speaker 1>led sign, and the whole time they've been open, it's
<v Speaker 1>been rotating a picture of Dave Portnoye and it says
<v Speaker 1>please eat here. Oh yeah, and it's been it's been,
<v Speaker 1>have they because it was like a year and I
<v Speaker 1>was like, he ain't coming. We're in the middle of nowhere, Pennsylvania.
<v Speaker 1>He ain't coming.
<v Speaker 2>You never know. The questions I have are silly.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if you want it, but we uh
<v Speaker 1>so we're on. We're on borrowed time because we have help,
<v Speaker 1>and we also started late, and I'm also very tired.
<v Speaker 1>So I honestly don't mind some silly questions just to
<v Speaker 1>end us out here. Okay, all right.
<v Speaker 2>The first silly question is about the switch to Miss Lissa.
<v Speaker 2>The one I thought was list list.
<v Speaker 1>The last yeah list was that that one stream? Though,
<v Speaker 1>so she did hear that. I don't know if she was,
<v Speaker 1>because she texted me during the stream.
<v Speaker 2>Oh great, Okay, No, I think that that was during
<v Speaker 2>the bonus that we did that thing beg Anyway, she
<v Speaker 2>asks if the switch to is crisp, clean and fun.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yes, I actually I said that in my review,
<v Speaker 1>and then my editor cut out me saying fun like
<v Speaker 1>he didn't know it was a joke. I was like,
<v Speaker 1>why'd you cut out me saying fun? And I didn't
<v Speaker 1>actually ask him, but I thought about it after. He
<v Speaker 1>probably thought that it was a silly word to use.
<v Speaker 1>He just cut it out. That's what I Justine said.
<v Speaker 1>I was going to ask if that's what everyone was
<v Speaker 1>meming on it.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, capture bitter girl who reviews text for something nice about.
<v Speaker 1>I'm with you, queen. Yeah, we're with you.
<v Speaker 2>We're all with you on that one.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, I don't get it.
<v Speaker 1>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>The other one is how does Stinky Joe like the
<v Speaker 2>switch to you have any cool Sticky Joe stories?
<v Speaker 4>And he's really bad at Mario Kart, but.
<v Speaker 1>Like he's only now sort of getting into his flashcards
<v Speaker 1>of like little black and white animals, and like he's
<v Speaker 1>just kind of staring at them.
<v Speaker 4>Like we now he has opinions on a couple of them.
<v Speaker 1>There'll be a couple of way, like his eyes will
<v Speaker 1>get bigger. Who might giggle or he might say.
<v Speaker 4>Something to it. He likes to talk to the bear,
<v Speaker 4>but he can't see too much right now. I mean
<v Speaker 4>he does like the aquarium thing.
<v Speaker 1>Kim puts up an aquarium on the TV, and he
<v Speaker 1>does also Last night when I was changing him, the
<v Speaker 1>change table is right next to the TV, and Kim
<v Speaker 1>had wrestling on and while I was changing him, he
<v Speaker 1>was just staring at the wrestling and because it was
<v Speaker 1>like three am in the morning, and we were like
<v Speaker 1>trying to sleep. I just kind of left him there
<v Speaker 1>for a little bit where when I went to like
<v Speaker 1>I went to go pee and like get myself sort
<v Speaker 1>of to get back into bed. And I came back
<v Speaker 1>and he was still just watching that Beyonca girl with
<v Speaker 1>the long hair. And I was saying to Kim, like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know at what point you're supposed to like
<v Speaker 1>take the like not do screens, because I don't want
<v Speaker 1>him to, Like I.
<v Speaker 4>Mean, I I think in some instances it's fine, like
<v Speaker 4>watching an aquarium is not going to hurt his brain,
<v Speaker 4>you know what I mean.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, because screens like like absorb their mind.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to. I don't.
<v Speaker 2>I don't have a kid, so I don't want to
<v Speaker 2>like tell you how to parent. But what I've heard,
<v Speaker 2>that's all. I'm not an expert, but what I've heard
<v Speaker 2>is that the important thing is like if they cry
<v Speaker 2>for a screen and you don't want to give it
<v Speaker 2>to them, don't, Yeah, because I've heard that like kids
<v Speaker 2>who grew up as iPad kids are like physically fighting
<v Speaker 2>their teachers for their iPhones. So it's like, as long
<v Speaker 2>as you don't create that dependence I think that's what
<v Speaker 2>the screen worry is the biggest screen word I will
<v Speaker 2>say as new parents. And I haven't said this to
<v Speaker 2>Kim yet, and I don't know how she feels about it.
<v Speaker 2>And while I'm still going to try my best to
<v Speaker 2>like not do screen time and not use that as
<v Speaker 2>a crutch, I'm going to try my best. I totally
<v Speaker 2>get it.
<v Speaker 1>Now, you're a.
<v Speaker 4>Single mom and you just want a minute of riot
<v Speaker 4>so you can pee.
<v Speaker 1>I get like, he's not even he'sn't even at the
<v Speaker 1>stage where we can do it yet because he doesn't
<v Speaker 1>really understand what's happening. It doesn't help. But what I'm
<v Speaker 1>saying is we're a month and a half in and
<v Speaker 1>I wish we had something that would calm him down
<v Speaker 1>for long enough that we could just have a minute.
<v Speaker 1>And if for parents that's an iPad, I get it, sister,
<v Speaker 1>I get it. I really do get it. Like what
<v Speaker 1>we have is that swing chair that Bob bought us
<v Speaker 1>from our registry that'll calm him down and quite him
<v Speaker 1>down for maybe like half an hour, maybe forty five minutes.
<v Speaker 1>But you're also not supposed to leave them in that
<v Speaker 1>too long because they're next in a bad spot. So
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's very like, yeah, we put him in that,
<v Speaker 1>we do the dishes, and then we pick him back up. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Like I said, my friend has a seven year old
<v Speaker 2>and they're very good about like, you know, when there's
<v Speaker 2>guests over he's really into his switch and when there's
<v Speaker 2>guests over there like okay, switch time's over, and he
<v Speaker 2>obviously wants to switch time, but they're pretty good about
<v Speaker 2>like easing him into taking the screen away. And so
<v Speaker 2>I think what more is the thing is like if
<v Speaker 2>they're screaming for the screen and you don't want to
<v Speaker 2>give them the screen, I feel like that's what creates
<v Speaker 2>the ad. You know what I mean is that they
<v Speaker 2>know they can scream enough to get it.
<v Speaker 4>Oh yeah, as soon as they realize they can get
<v Speaker 4>what they want if they do a certain thing, they're
<v Speaker 4>going to keep doing that.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>The funny thing is by the time he actually will
<v Speaker 1>care about games and sort of be invested or interest,
<v Speaker 1>it'll be playing them. It'll probably be like the Switch three.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, the elon chip.
<v Speaker 1>But he will probably completely misswitch too, because I mean
<v Speaker 1>like engaging it by like Billy's Kid, Like Billy's Kid
<v Speaker 1>now is starting to get into playing like Mark. Well,
<v Speaker 1>I guess he was doing it a couple of years
<v Speaker 1>ago with Billy, but now he's like playing it on
<v Speaker 1>his own and he's like eight now, yeah, so which
<v Speaker 1>is crazy, which is crazy.
<v Speaker 4>He might get it at the end, he might.
<v Speaker 1>So he'll probably start to pick up if I want to, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>around like five. I'm guessing he'll probably.
<v Speaker 4>Give them the older console anyway, just because you know
<v Speaker 4>they're gonna drop.
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna start him on an e sell.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, we've talked about that before.
<v Speaker 1>He's on the older I don't do ANYS for like
<v Speaker 1>two months, and I'm going to be like, hey, buddy,
<v Speaker 1>it just came out. Liquid just came out, Mega man X.
<v Speaker 4>That's what I was going to do with the cartoons,
<v Speaker 4>you know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's because his perception of time. Yeah, it would
<v Speaker 1>be so like he won't even understand that it's only
<v Speaker 1>been two months. If I never really tell him what happened,
<v Speaker 1>he'd probably get to like thirty and be telling people
<v Speaker 1>that he grew up with any s.
<v Speaker 2>But I was there.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I remember when Supernintendo came out. I went to
<v Speaker 1>the store and I got the n sixty four with
<v Speaker 1>my dad. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's fine. I look forward
<v Speaker 1>to that. Renee says, my question is not silly, Renee,
<v Speaker 1>what's your question? Or so, how long have we been life?
<v Speaker 1>Because it came.
<v Speaker 2>We got a one hour and three minutes.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, we can probably start winding down. I'm honestly very tired.
<v Speaker 1>We're both very tired, and we got to do a
<v Speaker 1>bonus episode. As much as I would love to go longer,
<v Speaker 1>we do have to do and these guys have to
<v Speaker 1>get home.
<v Speaker 2>Somebody asked about the Somebody asked about the weight the
<v Speaker 2>weight switch. Yeah, if you have any comments on the oh,
<v Speaker 2>I haven't noticed.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't noticed a weight at all, have you just
<v Speaker 1>it honestly just feels like a normal switch.
<v Speaker 4>No, No, it's heav It's definitely heavier than my old one.
<v Speaker 4>Because you handed me the new one.
<v Speaker 5>I was like, I don't know. It doesn't feel like
<v Speaker 5>I don't know the regular switch. Almost feels like it's
<v Speaker 5>like I got big hands. Yeah, and I feel like
<v Speaker 5>I sometimes I'm gonna break the little switch. This feels
<v Speaker 5>very premium.
<v Speaker 1>I'm still not over this. Yes, this is so much fun.
<v Speaker 2>This is great.
<v Speaker 1>Switch to AMR. Yeah, that's really fine.
<v Speaker 5>I honestly will take this out and play like this
<v Speaker 5>with the with the you will the bone the what
<v Speaker 5>is it the dog bone?
<v Speaker 2>The dog bone. Yeah, and just so I can keep
<v Speaker 2>playing with the magnets.
<v Speaker 1>That's cyberpunk is really cool with Marster controls. You should
<v Speaker 1>try it before you leave. It's really cool. Wait, there's
<v Speaker 1>like I talk about it in my video. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>so you hold them like this when you play, and
<v Speaker 1>then you can you aim and shoot like an actual gun,
<v Speaker 1>which is cool. And then when you want to reload,
<v Speaker 1>you go like this and it reloads. When you want
<v Speaker 1>to heal, you go like this, and it heals when
<v Speaker 1>you're punching, you like punch like this. So yeah, this
<v Speaker 1>whole and I honestly like them a lot, like it.
<v Speaker 1>It feels more organic to play that way. It's just
<v Speaker 1>I prefer using the park control because the Proke control
<v Speaker 1>is so nice. Yeah, the new one, I haven't.
<v Speaker 2>I haven't had any, like I said, honestly, my first
<v Speaker 2>time playing was on the train with with Bengal, But
<v Speaker 2>I will say that the joy cons feel more sturdy.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, firm, Everything feels more quality, like a huge on
<v Speaker 1>this thing. Yeah, I know, I like it.
<v Speaker 4>The size of an eminem you don't need.
<v Speaker 2>That dumb strap to the buttons. No, no, yeah, yeah, buttons.
<v Speaker 1>And even if you add in the strap that comes
<v Speaker 1>with it, it doesn't add buttons. You still use this.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's it's much. It's much like more firm in
<v Speaker 2>your hand. It doesn't feel so plastic, you know what
<v Speaker 2>I mean?
<v Speaker 1>What did Renee hit us with the question?
<v Speaker 2>I'm sorry, I'm still catching up a chat. I'm scrolling through.
<v Speaker 1>She just said my question is not silly, and then
<v Speaker 1>she never told us the question. Well, maybe it was
<v Speaker 1>the baby question.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe I think she asked the question before.
<v Speaker 2>I'm looking Renee, don't don't leave. Tell us here, tell
<v Speaker 2>us your question.
<v Speaker 1>All right, I'm done. I'm so tired. I know this
<v Speaker 1>wasn't the most energetic episode, but I am really, really tired.
<v Speaker 1>I literally I do have a style on my eye
<v Speaker 1>from being overworked and stressed and tired. And we did
<v Speaker 1>not sleep last night. So apologies if the energy was
<v Speaker 1>a bit low. But we are all very excited for
<v Speaker 1>the Swish, I mean, Max, maybe not.
<v Speaker 2>I'm excited.
<v Speaker 1>I had a great time playing it on the train.
<v Speaker 2>I can't wait to play it some more.
<v Speaker 1>Actually, but I really love it. I'm having a lot
<v Speaker 1>of fun with it. No regrets here, obviously, and then
<v Speaker 1>we get Donkey Kong in like a month and like
<v Speaker 1>four more nontendo episodes, we get Donkey Kong that pumped,
<v Speaker 1>and then they just we didn't talk about this, but
<v Speaker 1>they just announced we probably should quickly show this a
<v Speaker 1>new Splatoon.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, some people were asking.
<v Speaker 1>About the Splatoon two. I don't. I didn't want to
<v Speaker 1>interrupt mouse controls for it. Uh, I imagine there will be.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, right, there should be. There is motion control, so
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure it's pretty easy to implement.
<v Speaker 1>The spinoff might even have been made in mind because
<v Speaker 1>of the new motion controls and the new the new mouse.
<v Speaker 2>There was a Splatoon three update as well, so you
<v Speaker 2>might be able to play it with mouse controls on
<v Speaker 2>the update.
<v Speaker 1>You don't think so?
<v Speaker 5>No, no, in an update right now the Splatoon three updates. No, no,
<v Speaker 5>you can't. Last night we tried it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm not sure what I'm looking at here, but
<v Speaker 1>this is some new spinoff of Splatoon Splatoon Raiders. And
<v Speaker 1>then yeah, people are pointing out this comes out this year.
<v Speaker 1>That means that this year we got a new Mario
<v Speaker 1>cart a new Donkey Kong, a new Splatoon, a new Pokemon,
<v Speaker 1>a new Zelda. Uh, and then a new Metroid. That's
<v Speaker 1>all in the first year. How insane is that? That's
<v Speaker 1>I also keep forgetting that we're getting a news Elda,
<v Speaker 1>we're getting Age of Imprisonment this year, and then starttish
<v Speaker 1>of next year. Uh, bloodsuckers. What's dust bloods?
<v Speaker 2>Dust buds?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, bloods it's the new.
<v Speaker 1>Dark Souls game for Switch Exclusive. Yeah. I'm hype for Metroid.
<v Speaker 1>I'm hyped for everything we've been waiting years for that.
<v Speaker 1>There's not a thing in this lineup I'm not hyped for.
<v Speaker 1>I'm even hype for Pokemon. I don't care. I'm excited,
<v Speaker 1>not as excited as some other things, but I'm here,
<v Speaker 1>all right. Wait, I gotta go, We gotta go, We
<v Speaker 1>gotta get it out of here. Hit the music. Hit
<v Speaker 1>the patreot, hit that music. I'm also starving, you know
<v Speaker 1>what I mean? A little sandwich I threw together with
<v Speaker 1>two bits of bread and some cheese.
<v Speaker 4>I'm not realizing. I don't know if I eat anything.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think. We don't eat anymore. We don't eat anymore.
<v Speaker 1>There's no time to eat. Eat us guys. Everything we
<v Speaker 1>eat now we order from Uber, like like once a day,
<v Speaker 1>we will order dinner. There's no time to cook, there's
<v Speaker 1>no time to clean, there's no time to eat, there's
<v Speaker 1>no time to sleep, and I'm trying to I'm putting
<v Speaker 1>out multiple videos in between all of this.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah, I don't think I eat anything.
<v Speaker 4>Don't have a kid, No, I have one.
<v Speaker 1>He's awesome, he's the best. I was thinking, Joe of
<v Speaker 1>your own he could have come a year earlier, to
<v Speaker 1>be honest.
<v Speaker 4>Well, he had his own schedules.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, this wasn't the best time for him to show up.
<v Speaker 1>You guys should have pre ordered. But there's no bad
<v Speaker 1>time for him. He's awesome, he's the best. I love
<v Speaker 1>him so much. All Right, everybody like comment and subscribe.
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate you all. I gotta try getting that play button,
<v Speaker 1>like you got to apply for it. I can't remember how. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>thank you so much Kim for being here and we'll
<v Speaker 1>hopefully be here again next week. Really excited for that.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you Bingle and Max for coming on down and
<v Speaker 1>hopefully they'll make it back next week. Yes, yes, and
<v Speaker 1>either way, the show will be back next week one
<v Speaker 1>way or another. And we appreciate you, we love you
<v Speaker 1>so much, and hopefully by next week I'll have more
<v Speaker 1>sleep and we can have a bit more of an
<v Speaker 1>energetic show. But yeah, I love you, Love you guys.
<v Speaker 1>See the Patreons in ten minutes. Bye bye bye
