We answer your questions, and then we say, get back to us and let us know how those wedding plans went, how that divorce went. We really want to hear all of it. You can also dm us at on Instagram at Bachelor Happy Hour. 00:00:58 Speaker 2: Absolutely can. So where we get into today's episode, kat What do you think with our very special guests, Katie, We got to talk about last night's episode of the I mean, where. 00:01:10 Speaker 1: Do we Susan, There's so much, so much. 00:01:13 Speaker 2: And I just say, and I think you agree. The first night I was so impressed, I think I had tears before the show started when he talked, wait. 00:01:22 Speaker 1: A minute. Wait, news flash, Susan crying so unexpected, so unexpected. It was really sad growing up without a dad. 00:01:33 Speaker 2: Yeah, not having dinners as a family. And the first impression Rose went to his grandmom, Like, I loved that. 00:01:40 Speaker 1: That was sweet. The prepackages were really well done. But then into last night yeah no, wait I got Let me just say, we're going to talk a little bit about the gals. First, I need to give a shout out to Juliana. First of all, I think she's going to go really far in this show. But I'm giving her a shout out because she is from Newton, Massachusetts, and that's where I grew up and I believe her uncle went to high school with my sister. So Juliana, I'm rooting for you, I'm rooting for she is from. It's Newton, it's called the Lake. You're you're from down the lake, So anyway, that's where she was exactly. Way. 00:02:19 Speaker 2: How about the makeout sessions? Can we jump on top of them? I'm like straddling, But wait, let me say something, Susan. I do not I cannot believe the difference between The Bachelor with the young'uns and and the Goldens with you know Gary and Joan as leads. First of all, you know, Joan didn't have beds. She said, I'm not gonna kiss guys. I'm not gonna, you know, get into bed with guys. These girls from the get go have been talking about he's my husband, Grant's making out with every. 00:02:54 Speaker 1: One of them. He freaking sends Alicia home last night and he's making out with that. 00:03:00 Speaker 2: He thought he was into her, I really did. 00:03:02 Speaker 1: I don't. So the other thing that I'm finding so interesting is, I mean, these are young people, right, they haven't lived a lot of life yet, they haven't learned a lot of life lessons like you know we have. Having said that, he's talking his first love is basketball, and I'm like, I wanted to rewind that and say, wait, do you want to rethink that cramp? And then he says he really wants to be a dad. So we got all these women saying, you know, I want to be your wife. I want you to be my husband, have our kids. Yeah, and when we have our kids, I'm like, you've known this guy exactly thirty seconds, and yes, see how he treats you. Ha been to women demanding the right man to respect her and to treat her well. It's not that he won't, It's not they don't know anything. We know that he played pro basketball, we know he likes music, we know he wants kids, we know he wants to be a dad, and we're all in love with him. I just find the dichotomy between the Golden Bachelor, the difference is blowing me away on this On this season, we're showing our age. I guess, okay, just a couple of we're never showing our age. I I loved just a few things that I want to say. I loved that they changed the format and that the first date, the individual date, went to Alex and the first rose. I think that's wonderful and I loved I mean, can I just say, Susan, you and I have spent a lot of time in the Beverly Center. That's where the first date was. Did you know that the Beverly Center in them all? Let's just be clear. I'm a closed though, and it was closed. But it was cute. I mean they did. She's adorable and they definitely have a connection. And but wait then, can we talk? I have to ask you the basketball shoot your best shot? What did you think about Joey straight out like no time to prepare. I mean I was like watching Zoe going, whoa girl? You know you're stealing them on a group date. This is a recipe for disaster with young women again. Well you saw it start to the little New Jersey girl. Jersey girls. 00:05:18 Speaker 3: Oh she was fired off. 00:05:19 Speaker 4: Boy. 00:05:21 Speaker 1: But I'm just saying like this, you can just see the drama percolating and I'm sitting here thinking, oh, buckle up, baby, because this is gonna be a lot. 00:05:31 Speaker 2: Always think drama when you think Young Bachelor. That show has always been about drama. And that's what I think people were so surprised from ours, because there was a drama. There was genuinely cared about each other. Not these girls aren't caring. But there's there's gonna be some. 00:05:49 Speaker 1: Oh there's gonna be some gimmy dan. But the nails coming off of the basketball game. That's just the prelude to what's going to happen. 00:05:57 Speaker 2: Who do you think is going to be the one that tell him about the you know, oh, dear lord, I don't know all these girls. 00:06:06 Speaker 1: First, let me say gorgeous long hair flipping like I just want one of their heads of hair, their bodies, their hair, their makeup, their jewelry, their clothes. But you know what I have to say, as somebody who used to weigh two hundred pounds the first night, when Chloe said she was a plus sized model, that she could be a zero, but she wasn't going to do that and not eat. I love, first of all, she is beautiful, and I love that we are representing now. Bachelor Nation is representing women of all colors, all size, so big shout out to bachslor Nation on that one. She's gorgeous. I think she's lovely. 00:06:43 Speaker 2: I know they were all cute in their own ways. Like I said, I am blown away Grant Elijah, I thought Alicia Alisha, Yeah, I really thought they had a connection. 00:07:00 Speaker 1: To see next week. Wait, I can tell you who's going to be a pistol. The other one is Ali Joe, the girl from Jersey. I think that what they think. That's her name, the boding trainer, right, yeah, that's Ali. I don't know, you know, like I said, they're all gorgeous. Pick one, but yeah, I'm going to go with Ali Joe. 00:07:15 Speaker 2: What do you think of the defense attorney, the Chicago girl? 00:07:19 Speaker 1: I think, you know, I can't. I feel like the vibe I'm getting is total chaos so far, Like what are their stories, where are they going? Why are they upset? 00:07:34 Speaker 4: You know? 00:07:35 Speaker 1: It's Toddy. 00:07:35 Speaker 2: Let me ask you something. Do you remember the night that we had to go perform live and from an audience. That was our first big thing, you know, we had to do a talent thing and they had to do like a dance. 00:07:47 Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, let me just say the girl, Carolina, first of all, shout out to me. I understand, I understand, Yeah, Dina, that's it. Yeah. I Carolina is from Puerto Rico and I understand her Spanish speaking, so I'm like, oh, this is a new thing coming. We're gonna have it all in the Spanish. But she was so uncomfortable in that dance routine, which, honestly, I know you're a big dancer and you love to dance. I love to dance, but that would have been that would have been a lot for me. So I love that, you know, she just comes out with the Spanish and then straveles him for ten minutes. 00:08:26 Speaker 2: I couldn't the makeout though. I mean I could see given him a kiss, yeah, but this was like a makeout humping session. 00:08:35 Speaker 1: He was we was he was, I know, really he was loving every minute of it. He was another age difference, another age thing. Mario or I don't even know what the hell his name was. The singer. I'm like, I had no idea who he was, did you Oh god, we're getting old Susan, like you're a a soul, but like, who are you? You know? I just I didn't know the song love Love You. I think it was, you know, great song. 00:09:04 Speaker 2: They all knew it. Did you see them all singing it? 00:09:06 Speaker 1: I don't think. And then Bailey doing the splits. I'm like, another purchase split. Could you see us out there just her fick split? I can't. I just I don't know. I don't know. I think that I think it's It's interesting the second group date, you know, asking Rebecca, so why would he think that it would go well? Why would anyone think it would go well? 00:09:33 Speaker 2: Did you see Ella's expression? She looked so surprised, so surprised, like Ella's gone. Did you see her expression though, when she didn't get the rose, It was like, really, it's crazy, it's crazy, but it was a great thing. 00:09:49 Speaker 1: Let me say I think that towards the end, the girls are starting to and they somebody said it, one of the girls said it. They're realizing that this pro this is real, and you know it's hard to deal with dating the same guy. Yes, and there's going to be issues along the way, and. 00:10:08 Speaker 2: We know all about interruptions, that's part of the game. 00:10:11 Speaker 1: But the one Zoe. 00:10:16 Speaker 2: How many times? 00:10:18 Speaker 1: But here's the thing, you know, I don't know how I feel about it. I like her, I like her, but there's no real rules on Bachelor, right, I mean, you know, interrupting and sort of making your own way, taking advantage of opportunities. I don't know. I'm not not of all liked game, but that was a lot well it wasn't a lot, but you know what somebody needed to Ali Josh that came out her and said, hey, you know, girlfriend, But I don't know how I feel about that. I just think that Grant is showing you. And I've talked about this. We know Jung right, so we knew right off from the get go that Chock was the guy, or we felt strongly about it that Chock was going to be the guy. But in this case, he's making out with everyone, sticking tongues down they're sticking tongues down each other's throat so far, you know, I feel like they're gonna have a digestive disorder. You see Gary doing that no and Joan no no. So I don't know. I know, so I don't know. And then the other thing that I really noticed was, you know, at the Rose ceremony, he was saying, oh, it's just the most important thing is having emotional availability and connection and being vulnerable. And I'm thinking, I don't know, are we Are we grading the girls who make out the best? Are we? You know, I don't know. I think it's going to be I felt the show for me was a little disjointed, like the stories didn't hang. Some of the dates. I was like, wait a minute, what what happened? Things changed? 00:11:51 Speaker 2: But I was fast for me, like everything happened really quick. 00:11:55 Speaker 1: That's what I mean by disjointed, Like, wait minute, weren't we just there a minute ago? So you know, it's going to be interesting to see the way it goes. But it's definitely not the Golden Bachelor, not. 00:12:06 Speaker 3: Even a little bit. 00:12:07 Speaker 1: But I'm enjoying the ride. We'll see what happen. It's a week three. Things settled down hopefully. Week three, Week. 00:12:13 Speaker 5: Four, Oh boy, so Kathy, I am so excited about today's guest. 00:12:27 Speaker 1: How let's go. 00:12:29 Speaker 2: So he is from Jim season of The Golden Bachelor and a handsome man. Please welcome Jordan. Jordan, thank you so much for joining us. 00:12:40 Speaker 1: Hey, Jordan, thank you for having me. 00:12:41 Speaker 4: I love that handsome that's fantastic. Let's keep Let's do more of that. 00:12:46 Speaker 1: More of that. 00:12:47 Speaker 3: Absolutely, How are you? 00:12:48 Speaker 4: I'm really good. I'm good. Thank you. 00:12:50 Speaker 1: So how's the new year going for you? Jordan? Tell us what you've been up to? Give us? Give me great? 00:12:55 Speaker 4: Uh? I started the new year. I was up in the north woods of Wisconsin and was that a lake house and the owner of the house had a chainsaw and he drilled a hole in the lake and a bunch of us jumped in. 00:13:07 Speaker 3: So that was Are you crazy? Was that like the polar plunge? 00:13:11 Speaker 4: That's the exactly little polar plunge? But it was. I mean, it was pretty cool because it's a star lay windy, you know, it's probably the less than twenty degrees and he chainsaw in it, we jumped in, and he also has a sauna. So that was really went from the lake to the sauna the lake. 00:13:25 Speaker 1: And he didn't get sick. 00:13:26 Speaker 3: There's something. 00:13:27 Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. I was just going to say, I walk out, go to the grocery store, and I'm down for a month with this guy's diving into freezing cold how many seconds? 00:13:37 Speaker 4: Because you know, my mom, I had old Jewish mother would be like, you know, don't go out with your hair white or something. Yeah, that's that's his fate. 00:13:43 Speaker 3: In the same way the cold. 00:13:47 Speaker 1: And I didn't know you were Jewish. I guess I did know you were Jewish. Yeah, I'm a half bree. 00:13:52 Speaker 4: No, I don't think we talked about it. I mean I think I talked about in the show maybe a little. Somebody said it was like the black and white cookies we did. I did a few Jewish things for sure on the show. 00:14:01 Speaker 1: Well, I'm half Jewish, so I only eat the white cookies. 00:14:04 Speaker 4: So I was trying to negotiate a better deal. Now that's Jewish. 00:14:08 Speaker 2: So I do have a little question. Did you go out to see the guys when they all met at CHOP's house. 00:14:15 Speaker 4: No? Oh, yeah, so I was with chalk In in Kansas City. Yeah, yeah, we had we had a really fun times. I didn't. I didn't get to the finals, so I would have loved it. 00:14:25 Speaker 1: So I want to know because Susan and I we drilled down deeply just see you know Jordan's so you know, buckle up here, get ready, get So I want to know, like, how were you distraught about Joan, Like, tell me where you. 00:14:39 Speaker 4: Were about about the relationship, about that that. 00:14:43 Speaker 1: You didn't end up you know, going the full Dale take by. 00:14:48 Speaker 4: Joe and I. We we had, you know, I think we talked about I don't know, you know, a lot of so much doesn't get made to the air because a lot that goes on. As you guys know, we had a I would say a slow start. I was terrible out of the lemma. 00:14:59 Speaker 1: I was a troch and so was I, Jordan, so was I. 00:15:04 Speaker 3: We all felt the same way, trust me. 00:15:07 Speaker 4: And then there's some guys who are just more I will say that I'm not open. I'm open, but some guys were really like, you know, much further along than I was. I'm a little bit reserved when it comes to that. So I thought we had a really good relationship. And I would say this, every time we connected, it was better than the last time. So we were just building, but you know that that courtship is so short that you don't have time. You know, you got to run to the finish line otherwise you're just caught there. So I think Joan and I were kind of caught in that place where we weren't you know. Some guys were further along with their you know, expressing their emotions, and I just was, you know, a little bit behind. 00:15:44 Speaker 2: Well, I can honestly say from watching and the very beginning, I didn't know if you were ready, That's the feeling I got from you. 00:15:52 Speaker 3: But you came, you came through. 00:15:54 Speaker 4: Yeah, No, I was. I was nervous. I was really nervous, you know, the first little bit, and then you know it's a new environment. You're competing against twenty four guys. 00:16:03 Speaker 3: It's crazy, right, Did you ever think you would be doing that? We went through the same. 00:16:08 Speaker 1: It was just I will say, did I did not personally feel like it was a competition? Did you feel like you were competing? Jordan? 00:16:17 Speaker 4: Well, at some level? Yeah. So I'm in general I would call myself a competitive person. So when I first got there, I was like assessed the guys and I'm like, all right, there's a handful of guys that I made me just. 00:16:28 Speaker 3: To what to the fireplace with a cocktail. 00:16:31 Speaker 2: We were talking about everybody. 00:16:35 Speaker 1: So talking speaking of women and Dayton, I'm really going to hit your hair. I saw pictures of you and Leslie all over the internet, and I know that people may we all know this right. The internet is the life. Yeah, and see that the life you want to live or the life somebody else told you you're going to live. Are you dating her? Were you look at your dog? Look at your dog? In a minute? I know is Sam? This is Mickey. It's adorable? Are you? That was your reprieve Jordan to think quickly on your feet here now I'm coming at you. Are you dating? 00:17:09 Speaker 4: Leslie? And I are not dating. We met at the mentel all I had this. I had a suite for the for the l A f C Soccer game. I invited a bunch of the bachelor's. 00:17:17 Speaker 1: Excuse me, god, I love soccer my daughter. 00:17:24 Speaker 4: I told all the production staff, and I told all the bachelors that were still out there. And Leslie and I had been texting a little bit and she was coming out for Dancing with the Stars, So I said, hey, you know I have a suite, please come join me. So she joined, and then we'll call now that now a famous picture where she jumped on me and it was cute. Look ved the internet. But we were we were fast friends right away, like certain people you connect with immediately. Leslie you know, lessa and I would say, is one of those. And then she came to Chicago, her son lives here. We went to a couple of concerts, Pascal joined us. I mean it was she's a great friend. M h. 00:18:01 Speaker 1: Well that's that's that's a that's a a stop sign right there. 00:18:08 Speaker 4: No, I mean we're I mean every relationship is, you know, a little different. 00:18:12 Speaker 3: But chemistry, there's friendship. 00:18:16 Speaker 4: You know, and that's great. And you guys know her obviously she's. 00:18:20 Speaker 1: She's Leslie is a great person. She's she's amazing. But next time you have tickets. My daughter works for Ustin FC. I used to be a soccer ref. I know the game. I mean, I know my daughter played collegiate soccer. 00:18:35 Speaker 4: Oh say, my daughter to where? 00:18:37 Speaker 1: Really? Where'd she played? 00:18:38 Speaker 4: Yeah? My old daughter ally played for Wisconsin. 00:18:40 Speaker 1: Oh wow, my daughter played for. 00:18:43 Speaker 4: My youngest daughter is engaged to a former professional soccer player. So I'm a big soccer guy. Yeah, it's like eup. 00:18:53 Speaker 1: Really, how I'm sorry? He played for who? 00:18:56 Speaker 4: For where? 00:18:58 Speaker 1: Oh? Wow? Wow? Well can gratch on the engage you to play as well? Jordan? 00:19:03 Speaker 4: No, I didn't really play soccer. I was more of a baseball basketball type of guy. I would have loved it. I mean soccer was you know, I was more different sports. But now I'll play a little bit. They still play in Chicago, and I'll jump in. 00:19:15 Speaker 1: Do you play indoor? It's got to be indoor right. 00:19:17 Speaker 4: Well, now would be indoor, but no, like outdoor this fields in Chicago. 00:19:22 Speaker 1: What's your position? What do you play? 00:19:23 Speaker 4: No? Not in soccer, I don't. I'm a stand in. I'm like a henchman. You know. They if someone's bothering one of the kids, they bring me in and uh and give them a shoulder. 00:19:33 Speaker 3: So I have a question. I have a question. So I want to know, Kathy. 00:19:38 Speaker 2: I believe this is better for the men than it was for us, because everybody says when you're leaving the show, they're going to blow up your DMS. You're going to have more people and all you men, excuse me, A lot of you men, A lot of the men on Jones season have girlfriends? 00:19:54 Speaker 1: Now? 00:19:55 Speaker 3: Was that the case for you? 00:19:56 Speaker 2: Because women, I believe are on social media and reach out. Men in our age do not. They don't even know what Instagram is. 00:20:03 Speaker 4: No, the the no question about it. It was the d ms and the private messages and for the women very forward. 00:20:13 Speaker 1: I mean, okay, but Jordan's how do you feel about that now? Like, have you met with any of them? Have you had a date with any of them? Have you chatted with out? 00:20:22 Speaker 4: So I've connected with I'll say a few of them I've had. 00:20:26 Speaker 1: When I have to interrupt here the way he's talking, Susan, I think he had to book out an hour to talk with us. I'm going to talk about he's got a date on men getting on Instagram? 00:20:40 Speaker 3: Put it out the paper. 00:20:41 Speaker 4: Yeah, I try. I'm trying to help guys figure that out as well. So I think I told this on one of the other podcasts. You know, guys who would be let's say, in my situation, would think this is amazing. You have all these women are in your dms, and some of them are very forward and they don't really stop. And like I said, I look at the message like I feel compelled to answer it, and then it's because you're nice. Work. I mean, it's a lot of work, but. 00:21:05 Speaker 3: It is a lot of work. 00:21:06 Speaker 1: So are you don't know how. 00:21:08 Speaker 4: To really stiff through them? Because, like I said, I went from like eight hundred Instagram followers to ten thousand. 00:21:13 Speaker 1: Oh, we're feeling so sorry for We're feeling so sorry for you, poor thing. How do you get up out of bed in the morning and feed poor Mickey lion. 00:21:23 Speaker 4: That he gets me up every morning pretty early? 00:21:26 Speaker 1: So are you dating? Are you dating? 00:21:30 Speaker 4: Yeah? I am dating. I am dating. And I want to say through the show, but kind of through the show she recognized me and that's how she approached me, and and we've been kind of dating. 00:21:41 Speaker 1: Oh so you're dating one person? One person? 00:21:45 Speaker 4: Yeah, I would say that right now. 00:21:47 Speaker 2: All right, So how about New Year's intentions or resolutions? 00:21:51 Speaker 3: Did you make any? 00:21:53 Speaker 4: Yeah? I make I make I make them all the time, right, So how long have they lasted this year? I really want to be more present, you know with my the show was really good with you know, we went one time when you take away your phone for five weeks, right or six weeks whatever, and then we you know, I'm out with the producer one day and we were have we had a day on our own, and you see everybody is on their phone. Me because I don't have a phone. We realized how how how terrible that is. You know, we're standing in line at the restaurant. Everyone's got their head down walking across the street. So terrible. 00:22:29 Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree. 00:22:30 Speaker 4: I think it's the uh, you know, the there's great benefits of its humanity, but I think it's not. So one of the things is really the less less present, and it's kind of a contradiction. I have to be on social media but less involved with with the phones. 00:22:45 Speaker 2: Especially when you're out in public. That's one of the things. Like I'll go out by myself and put the phone down, but it's almost uncomfortable because you're so used to it. 00:22:56 Speaker 4: It is, it's really it's it's a crutch that we all have, and yeah, I think we'd all benefit by putting it away for good. 00:23:04 Speaker 1: So, Jordan, you were talked about your daughters. I also have how many children do you have? Two daughters? 00:23:09 Speaker 4: Have three daughters? 00:23:10 Speaker 1: Three daughters? Okay, so I have two sons and a daughter and I'm just gonna give the reader's digest versionnaire. My two sons were fabulously excited about me going on the show. My daughter not so much. How no, how did you How did your daughters feel about you going on the show? 00:23:27 Speaker 4: My kids loved it. So my youngest daughter is the one that signed me up unbeknownst to me. And then well when I first told them, I said, I got this call because she did it years ago. She did it in twenty twenty, when you know, before when they first were talking about the show, and then they found me last January, and then the kids were super excited about it. They you know, they obviously my girls and I are really close and they love my you know, banter with them and just like my stick in general. So they thought, they're, like, America's gonna love your dad, and they did, and they're got there. And they also, you know, they wanted me to find the fine love as well. You know, they don't. We're all a lot of times it's each of them are you know, are all partner it off? So it would be the seven of us instead of eight of us. 00:24:09 Speaker 1: How long have you been single, Jordan? How long have you been single? 00:24:13 Speaker 4: Like four? Like you know, I got the worst eight years ago. I had a girlfriend for like half that time, so i'd say it by four years. Yeah, and in that time I've had little relationships as well. 00:24:25 Speaker 1: So other than other than obviously you're dating this woman now and and giving up phones or realizing, you know, we need to spend lust I want phones, how is your life changed other than those two things from being on the show. 00:24:40 Speaker 4: Well, first of all, you guys, like one thing is being recognized is really is unique, really fine. I mean it's still I mean, you guys are more popular than I'm obviously, so so you get recognized more. But the amount I get recognized is really fun for me. People come up, they're excited to see me, they're like that guy from the show. Yeah, it's been really nice. And then you know, a lot of doors have opened up as far as activity, so invited to games, invited to concerts, restaurant openings, those types of things. So that's been really fun. And then I've done I don't know if you've seen I've done some modeling. 00:25:14 Speaker 1: I was just gonna ask, Yeah. 00:25:16 Speaker 4: I'm some modeling, and I'll look at me young the model at age sixty one, you and god, did. 00:25:21 Speaker 3: They have skinny jeans on you or what did they have on? 00:25:25 Speaker 4: So yeah, I mean that skinny jeans. You know, I got kind of that, But why didn't want to? Producers say, Jordan, tuck yourself in a little bit the. 00:25:35 Speaker 2: Day on the water, right by the water, I was like, whoa. 00:25:38 Speaker 4: Plus, you know, listen, I could talk like this with you guys, so I know you're you you think like I do. Yeah, guys, we've been there for five weeks. A question from women other than Joan. You know, someone grazes my arm and I'm like, what you know? You can't stick me in tight jeans? Someone she said, you know, Jordan, take it back a little bit, buddy. 00:25:59 Speaker 3: I hear. 00:25:59 Speaker 4: So some there's some there's some embarrassing pictures out there, but hey, I'm a man. What can I say? 00:26:03 Speaker 3: That's right? 00:26:04 Speaker 1: Proud, just alright, all right, before this degenerates any further, we're going to get into some fan questions. 00:26:11 Speaker 2: One second, Cat, I know, what advice would you give someone else, another man that was going to go on the show. 00:26:20 Speaker 4: I would say, you know, you really got to be open to the experience, be yourself. What they're looking for. I think what the fans are looking for, what everybody's looking for is really for you to just be yourself and just be open to whatever situation happens there on the show. There's a lot of these different things that pop up and just be open and vulnerable and express those feelings. 00:26:37 Speaker 1: And you know what, Jordan, it's hard. I think what you were saying, it's difficult sometimes to be vulnerable when it's not really just Joan. It's the world that's going to be seeing. It's your family, That's what we were talking about earlier. 00:26:51 Speaker 4: There's other people involved. There's other people involved exactly. 00:26:54 Speaker 1: So you have to be vulnerable and you have to you have to be who you are. And sometimes that gets to the woman. 00:27:01 Speaker 2: I would forget until after the fact and go, oh god, my kids. 00:27:06 Speaker 3: Are going to see this. What did I say? 00:27:09 Speaker 4: I listen, But I love people ask me, and more women have asked me to be on, like what should I go on the show than men have, And I always say absolutely, if you can get on the show, it's an experience of a lifetime incredible people. You get a behind the scenes peak what's going on in television land, I think, and it was all it was. It was a fantasic, not a perfect experience. As we all know, by any, by any, stretchy, but. 00:27:33 Speaker 2: Fantastic, absolutely life changing. Could you say life changing our age? 00:27:40 Speaker 1: Hey, Susan, Susan, you know you know how it's life changing. Jordan has a girlfriend. You and I not so life changing. 00:27:48 Speaker 3: We have a friendship that will never. 00:27:51 Speaker 1: I bet you know what. I'm all right enough. We're going to get into our fan questions. Here's something we we get fans from writing questions. We're gonna read them, and then you're going to weigh in, if you if you'd be so kind to weigh in and sort of give your opinion with. 00:28:08 Speaker 3: Us, we'll give some advice. 00:28:10 Speaker 1: All right, here we go. Tanya writes, Hi, ladies, I need your help. My boyfriend is literally addicted to football. I don't know what to do. I've been with him for like six months, and I feel like he's always watching football. I didn't even know football could be on for so long. He'll have it pulled up on his phone. When we're out with friends, are going to dinner. He's always checking his fantasy team everything, and it's driving me nuts. I know you guys are really sensitive about that kind of thing. So how do you suggest that going about talking to him about this. What do you think is a fair compromise to ask for thank you? Okay, what's what's your answer to Tanya Jordan? 00:28:50 Speaker 4: Well, what I would say is my guess, he's not just playing fantasy's probably gambling. 00:28:54 Speaker 3: Put my question. 00:28:57 Speaker 4: Because I used to be a football gambler back in the day, and I would be driving before he had the internet. I'd pull over a with my with my family, pull over to a phone. So he so it's an addiction like any other addiction. So she's got she would have to deal with it like it's like he's an addicted drinker, is addicted you know something else, No question that that is an addicted gambler. And that's the way they act. That nothing. You block out everything the world. He's got to know what's going on with his teams and his scores, and well, the good news is that he's only but football. It's about to end here in a couple of years. 00:29:32 Speaker 2: I would have a conversation with him and ask him and if we're winning, then you need to shut f up. 00:29:39 Speaker 4: And listen. Don't worry about it. I gotta you know, you want your partner to be present with you and. 00:29:45 Speaker 1: He's going, I'm like, you guys are talking about it if you're winning. I'm sitting here getting stuck on the line where she says to dinner, he's on the front. I wouldn't be dating a guy who was on his No. 00:29:57 Speaker 4: No, that's just the deal breaker. That's one hundred percent of deal. He's got to he's got to figure out his life. And I think he's that involved in that, addicted to his phone and gambling or his football. I mean, it's not that interested in the football. It's about it's come on, it's about the money for sure. Get him to come, get. 00:30:17 Speaker 1: Him eight hundred addiction, you know. 00:30:22 Speaker 3: And we're in the playoffs so well. 00:30:24 Speaker 4: I had heard, like someone said that the gambling for the younger guys now is like is like the new porn. 00:30:30 Speaker 3: It's yeah, because it's legal, and you know. 00:30:32 Speaker 4: It's all consuming. You can bet on everything, so and it's super easy to do. So I think it becomes all consuming to many of these guys. 00:30:40 Speaker 1: You know, it's funny you said that, Jordan. I dated a guy for ten minutes. We're still friends, but he was telling me, you know, my dad, my husband, they gambled on games, you know, you got the line and the whole bit. But this guy that I know says that you can bet on like you know how long it's going to be for the first down house. Yeah, you can bet on exactly. 00:31:07 Speaker 4: I mean it's now you can bet on every little mini aspect of the game. 00:31:10 Speaker 2: Did you ever welcome to the casino and the betting part. 00:31:14 Speaker 4: It's like sho sports book is crazy. Yes, So it's a problem, without a question. If if you're if you're one of those people who's involved, and if you have addictive personality, you can really get caught into it and it's super hard to get out. 00:31:27 Speaker 1: Do you gamble anymore? 00:31:29 Speaker 4: I don't really gamble anymore. I was a trader for a long time, a commodity trader, which was like almost like gambling the extension of everyone down at the Chicago American, the Saints, half the guys there were bookies anyway. So you were gambling, and on the weekends you were gambling. So when that life ended, I had to, you know, I ended. 00:31:51 Speaker 3: You let go of that. You let go of that. 00:32:00 Speaker 4: All right. 00:32:01 Speaker 2: Now we're going to do some fun questions if you don't mind. It's about getting people to get to know Jordan, kat you want to begin with the first one. 00:32:10 Speaker 1: Oh, it's this is be careful of your answer here. It's all I can say, be careful. They and some of your friendships. If you were stranded on a deserted island and you and you could have Susan and me with you, what other one person? No, that is not the question. Okay, if you were stranded on a deserted island and could only bring three guys from the mansion, who would you bring me? 00:32:35 Speaker 4: Only three? So there's like seven of us that I would say, are really close guys? 00:32:40 Speaker 1: Play by the rules here, Jordan, we're not gambling here. Well, Street answer. 00:32:44 Speaker 4: The closest guys, you know. I would say, Keith is you know me? He and I were best friends immediately, and I know Chalk answered me. He said, how you said he would bring me? So I have to reciprocate and bring Chalk because he's a good guy. And then I'm gonna say Pascal is a great friend. I can't stop at three. I can't. 00:33:08 Speaker 1: How many of y'all live in Chicago? Wait, how many of y'all live in Chicago? 00:33:12 Speaker 4: So Pascal and I and then Jack kind of lives South Chicago, so three of us. Michael, I think it also might be moving back to Chicago too. Michael is from Chicago. So yeah, I've been out. Michael's been to Chicago, We've been out to dinner. Mark is coming. We're gonna go out to dinner with him in a couple of weeks. 00:33:26 Speaker 2: And I was in Chicago. Hello, I need your number next time? 00:33:30 Speaker 4: Yes, of course, I mean you know the town. But I'll show you my version of this. 00:33:35 Speaker 1: And to be clear, Jordan, where Susan go with, Kathy. 00:33:39 Speaker 3: Go with and you can bring your girlfriend. Tell her don't be jealous. We're just friends. 00:33:44 Speaker 4: I mean we'd be walking down the street. It would be like, it's crazy. Right. 00:33:48 Speaker 2: Well, I went to see Val from Dancing with the Stars. They perform on when they're not on the show, and it was a blast. We all had dinner afterwards. 00:33:56 Speaker 3: I missed Chicago. 00:33:58 Speaker 4: I really do. 00:33:59 Speaker 2: Okay, So what's one piece of advice you wish you could have given your younger self. 00:34:07 Speaker 4: Well, the simple one is where sunscreen? So you know that was that's easy. But I would say, you know, I spend more time with your with your parents. You know my parents, at least my parents. I was pretty young. We had a great relationship. I spent time with them, But I would say that to other people, you don't I never know how long people have beautiful I am cheering. 00:34:28 Speaker 1: Up, Jordan. Nobody has ever We asked that question to just read everyone who comes on our podcast. I'm literally sitting here turning up. I've never had liked me a little bit more. 00:34:39 Speaker 4: Yeah, oh, thank you. I bumps from you. 00:34:42 Speaker 1: Yeah me too, me too, So I had. 00:34:44 Speaker 4: So I'll just tell you a quick story. So on the show, I lost my dad. I was twenty nine. He was sixty three. 00:34:50 Speaker 3: So was my dad sixty three. 00:34:52 Speaker 4: So really and at the time it didn't really make sense. My mom was sixty one, the same age as Joan was. And it's some point when we were talking about it, Joan was, you know, talking about the hard you know how hard it is with John, and and then it like topped to my hat. I said, she's the same age as my mother. Like my mother dated my father when they were you know, teenagers, and when my dad passed away, she wouldn't even think of dating anyone else. It was like heresy to talk about it. Well, I have three older brothers and we were like mom, like dad wouldn't want you to be alone. You know this, you know she she wouldn't do it. She wouldn't do it, and we begged her, and it just was I and I praised Joan for that. I said, you know, my mom was the same age and she was a young woman, but she was you know she she said, I have my husband and that's that's it. Yeah. I know you guys have both lost your husbands as well, So no, no. 00:35:46 Speaker 3: She still helps me out sometimes. 00:35:48 Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, no, you lost your husband. 00:35:52 Speaker 1: I did. And when you just said that, it's you know, seen it reflected through your eyes of My daughter was thirty thirty one, turning shoes thirty one when her dad died. And you know, I can't even con we talk about it, but losing a parent when you're that young. 00:36:11 Speaker 2: But I think all of you feel, all of us feel the same way when you lose a parent or when you lose your spouse. If they're a given amount of time, life does go on, and why not. 00:36:21 Speaker 3: Have another love? It won't be the same, or you know what I mean, but it can. 00:36:25 Speaker 4: You don't. You shouldn't be alone, give up a great time. It doesn't it doesn't diminish with your spouse at all. It doesn't better. 00:36:36 Speaker 1: That's right, all right. I have another question we in your video. Well, I have my cat who's literally you can't see, but I saw it. Yeah, walk there and the tails hanging in there, and I saw your dog, Mickey. So and Mickey, it looks like an adorable You said, he's a rescue after a long day or what is your favorite way to one? And I'm guessing it has something to do with your sweet dog. But tell me how do you like? 00:37:04 Speaker 3: Yeah? 00:37:04 Speaker 4: So, Mickey and I have a great routine. I live right across in the lake, and we get up early and we do the lake walk and then in the afternoon come back. We take two long walks and the second one is another you know, run by the lake France, and it's just, you know, it's really cold this morning. That is right there, kind of compervious. So I do it for him and it's a it's therapeutic for me too. So we take good long walks and he's what I'll call a man's dog, like he's rough and tumble. He loves to you know, and I just love it's Mickey. 00:37:37 Speaker 1: Wait, wait, Mickey, your dad thinks you're rough and double. I've seen Mickey or I did snoozed out on the floor and then on the sofa. That's yeah, I'm going with not rough and tumble. Here Jordan yell like a cat. 00:37:51 Speaker 4: But he uh, he's a great companion, you know. And how all my divorced friends, like the guys I always get a like they're unhappy. 00:38:01 Speaker 3: Get a dog. 00:38:03 Speaker 4: My advice to everyone is get a dog because I love. 00:38:06 Speaker 2: Because the responsibility, because I'm moving around so much, I don't think it would be fair. 00:38:12 Speaker 3: That's one of the people. 00:38:13 Speaker 4: Say that I and I said, you find a way, You find a way. I think the love that you get and you receive is amazing. 00:38:21 Speaker 1: Yeah, I have two cats. You said that Mickey's a rescue. I have two cats that are now thirteen that I have a big heart for animals, and they needed rest, they needed fosters, and so I fostered these two kittens. When my husband came home, he was like, what, but I fostered them. They were five weeks old, their sisters. And of course now that I couldn't take them back. I mean when they said, you know you can bring them back. You know we have room now and I said I can't, So I have to one last question. 00:38:55 Speaker 4: My youngest daughter just fostered or she adopted a cat. She's too adopted greyhounds, and she adopted a kitten. And it's like a special needs Its back legs don't work so great, so it's always just sliding around and all the dogs are good to it. I mean, I can send you, guys pictures. You won't believe it. She's sleeping on the dogs heads. 00:39:17 Speaker 1: I mean, is she going to keep the cat? 00:39:19 Speaker 4: I think we were cat people until we have this cat. 00:39:22 Speaker 1: Now, listen, my cats are like dogs. People who don't like cats love my cats. They come in. People are allergic to cats, literally are not alertal to my cats. 00:39:31 Speaker 4: Perspective on cats. 00:39:32 Speaker 2: Now, good, last question of the day. We're going to have to wrap. If you were to write an autobiography, what would the title be? 00:39:41 Speaker 4: The title of my autobiography would be. That's a good that's a tough question. Let me think might be just smiles a lot. It's not very prophetic, but I do smile a lot. I have a you know, my outlook on life is uh, you know, I I'm usually happy all the time. Uh So something along those lines, I don't have something just like a mine. 00:40:08 Speaker 1: Mine mine is and I thought about I thought about writing it, but then I thought, but mine would be run between the drops, because that's to me. That's well, it's what you're saying. You know, it might be raining out, but I try to look for the positive no matter what's happened in my life. Uh, you know, it could be smile between the drops, but run between the drops. You know, enjoy life, grab for like you can. There's going to be rain, there's gonna be sunned anyway, Enjoy who you are, just. 00:40:36 Speaker 4: Me, right, that's those are all great. I mean, so let's all get I think that, you know, I kind of always have looked at the positive side. I haven't taken the life as too serious. So I got to figure out a good title for a book that that that goes along those lines. 00:40:51 Speaker 3: I agree, I agree. 00:40:52 Speaker 4: I can't get you might as well, right. 00:40:56 Speaker 2: Damn right, absolutely. I still see the cup as almost full. 00:41:00 Speaker 4: I mean, I love your I love both of your zest for life. I love the spunk that you guys bring to the you know, and I try to do the same thing in my life. 00:41:11 Speaker 1: I just I see that you know, every day. It's a choice. It's a choice every day. You can get up and be horrible or you can get up and be grateful and live, you know, life to the to the full. It's a choice every day. 00:41:28 Speaker 2: We just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It was so nice to see you so relaxed and that beautiful smile and that handsome face. 00:41:37 Speaker 4: And you know, like I said, I missed out. I'm meeting you, guys. 00:41:42 Speaker 1: We will meet. 00:41:43 Speaker 3: We're not going anywhere, Jordan. 00:41:45 Speaker 2: We thank you, and that's us going to do it today for this episode of Bachelor Happy Hours Golden Hours. 00:41:52 Speaker 1: Hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it right.
